Was it really neccessary?

I... guess I will probably get a lot of hate but I just want to share my (unpopular) opinion... and that is: maybe it could have been better to not announce the relationship.

The thing is... I was really glad that Hyuna and E’Dawn decided to not hide their long relationship anymore. I admire them for gathering the courage to announce it. But my feelings were very bitter-sweet.

I knew that from that moment, things will fuck up a lot. Like... no one could think that nothing would happen, that they would live forever in love and happy without some shit happening around. I was afraid that things would go downfall and that they would have to leave. But thought that such scenario wouldn’t happen.

... and well. It did. One must have expect it, even tho the one would not want to believe it. First the reaction of fans, which were sometimes very bad. But well... that is how they see it there and I wish it would change (and I hope that after this whole thing maybe people would reflect on it a bit and that the public view on it can get better). Again... it was expected that fans would react like this. They always react like this, hating the person, wishing them to leave the company, wating from them apologize for basically living their life freely.

Then the thing Cube did... they definitely did it because of the fans’ pressure but that does not justify their dealing with the situation. Kicking them without discussing it first with the two of them. Like what they could expect from it? That everyone would love them for kicking out one of their very known female artist and the member of Pentagon who is, actually the main reason why people know about Pentagon? (note: I am not downgrading the rest of members, but I just know from all kinds of videos or from friends that despite not knowing Pentagon, they know that one small blonde - usually - rapper; his style and face was easy to memorize and he was many times the reason why people decided to stan Pentagon in the first place).

So it was definite that Hyuna would just leave on her own. I was not sure about E’Dawn. First they left him out from their latest promotions... I felt that something was wrong already. I did not have good feeling about it but thought that maybe they will discuss it through.

Anyway. As I said. The thing they decided to stand up for themselves and decide to announce their relationship... I cannot say I hate them for this. I am glad that they were this brave. But the rational side of me is stronger at this moment... wondering if it was worth it. I feel like they totally did not care about what would happen. They had Triple H... left Hui practically behind. Pentagon was getting more and more popular, they always looked like one big family... suddenly they lose one of their precious and important member...

... of course, I cannot see what was happening inside the Cube. So I am telling to myself that they discussed it with the rest of Pentagon before announcing it. That they wanted to know what is their point of view and if they would be okay, if worst case scenario happens and E’Dawn would have to leave... I really hope that sth like this happened. And that members are happy for them and told them to go on and announce it.

To wrap it up, I hope that they will still be in touch. That it maybe means that Pentagon will be now only 9 members group, but that in real life they will still be 10 as they were for past two years. And I also wish Hyuna’s and E’Dawn’s relationship to last long, so they do not feel bad about this whole thing that it wasn’t actually worth it. However, it won’t change my mind that they should probably keep it secret.

I hope for Some pics of BigBang together like hanging out or spending time together. I hope for TOP to show his face more and even put out some music or do a project. Maybe even a film. I hope for GD to do variety show and tell us what he been to lately. I want to see Daesung have another album. I truly hope Ri can somehow pull himself together and make amends with bigbang.

On the spectrum I want to see red velvet continue on strong. I want irene to really learn from her scandal and I hope Yeri never follows in her footsteps. I want Joy to actually improve her acting and land a deserved lead role. I want to see Kim Woobin get a lead drama role or movie role again, but most likely not a villain this time cause his looks changed from treatment. I want to see BTS mentor rookies or meet up with them. I want to also see if Hyuna marries Edawn or have another comeback. I want to see a solo from a twice girl. I think Momo could do a project by herself even if it's not music related. I want to see Taemin or Shinee win big at mama.

In general I hope for safe travel in 2020. Stimulus checks and that everyone qualifies for them cause the first stimulus was a bust for some people. I hope people adapt to masks still and it becomes normalized like it is in korea. I hope to travel to either Brazil or Korea, Hong Kong or Japan next year. I hope to actually write my book soon even if its posted on Amazon ( the main characters are based Off TOP / Woobin actually) and I hope to actually compete in some pageants since I put off cause of virud

2019: A Year in Kpop

Dickens once wrote in his novel, A Tale of Two Cities, “It was the best of the times, it was the worst of the times”. This phrase aptly sums up the year of 2019 for Kpop - a moniker for Korean Pop.  Some called 2019 the best year for Kpop in this decade while others called it the worst year of Kpop. 

In my last review, I wrote how 2018 was a big year for Kpop as it wrecked havoc much of the western world like a storm. And as expected, in year 2019, Kpop is just getting even bigger and gaining more momentum outside its safe haven of South Korea and the larger Asian continent in general. Known for its dedicated and strong fanbases, Kpop industry has become a commodity. The soft power of Kpop — and the corollary fashion and beauty industry — catapults the South Korean economy, racking in billions of dollars back into the country, especially with the success of the global acts like BTS and BlackPink. Suddenly, everyone wants a bit of Kpop. The western media were scurrying to appeal and sign on with Kpop acts such as BTS, BlackPink, Monster X, Ateez, TXT and SuperM to name a few. 2019 saw Kpop acts appear in many American TV shows and music festivals, as well as performing concerts in many cities. In all, it is safe to say that Kpop has taken ground in America.

To begin, 2019 is a year of BTS. A year ago I also said 2018 was the year of BTS. I told my friend that BTS has such an amazing year in 2018. To that, my friend replied: BTS hasn’t even reached their peak yet. I was a little skeptical back then. How much bigger would they get? Oh boy I was wrong. 2019 is a huge year for BTS — and even huge might be an understatement. For those who are still unaware, they are the biggest boyband in the world right now. A short for Bangtan Sonyeondan or literally Bulletproof Boyscouts, BTS broke many records and took home countless of awards this year with the release of Map of the Soul: Persona. The album takes inspiration from Jung’s thesis in psychology of the same name: Map of the Soul. Following Persona, fans are expecting that Shadow and Ego could be the next releases. For the first time since the Beatles, they had three number one album in Billboard 200 within a year. This year, the septet completed their world stadium tour and sold millions of seats, with historic performance in Wembley London and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, for me, it is the performance for the MMA stage that left strong impression, especially so the solo performances.

Moreover, their single Boy-with-Luv, a collaboration with Halsey, is named the song of the year in Korean year end music awards, broke the Youtube records, and last but not least loved by many. Boy-with-Luv (Korean name:  A Poem for Small Things) is a catchy pop-song with bubbly and cheerful tones complementing the visuals.The B-side tracks also shine with Mikrokosmos being the feel-good song and Make it Right, composed by Ed Sheeran, as your mainstream chill-pop song. Home is my personal favourite with its jazz and R&B textures, followed by Jamais Vu for its interesting musicality. The album ends with Dionysus, a hard-hitting hip-hop of old school Bangtan. 

If the Kpop boy group is dominated by BTS, one could said BlackPink is the counterpart for the girl group. BlackPink released its most anticipated comeback yet with Kill This Love which top many charts. Kill This Love was briefly named the most viewed MV in YouTube, only to be sidelined by BTS’ Boy-with-Luv just a week after. Kill This Love is a marching-band style hip hop song that is a typical of BlackPink hard-banging repertoire. This comeback pulled through YG amidst the scandals embroiling their senior group Big Bang and YG’s executives. Some might even call BlackPink as a saviour for YG. However, fans lamented for the lack of supports for BlackPink, arguably the sole powerhouse of YG right now, with Kill This Love remains but another mini album. To date, BlackPink, a three-year old group has not released a full album yet. In this album, Don’t Know What To Do is my personal favourite, followed by Kick It and Ddu Du Ddu Du remix. Admittedly, Ddu Du Ddu Du was the most successful BlackPink release ever, with the MV crossing the 1B stream in YouTube this year. BlackPink too went for a successful world tour and was featured in Coachella this year.

Now that we have cleared the big acts of 2019, let us sails through the rest of the Kpop acts. Older and senior groups like EXO and Super Junior made comebacks this year as well with Obsession and Super Clap respectively. With the members starting military services, remaining active EXO members such as Baekhyun and Chen releasing solo songs and Chanyeol and Sehun as duo. In addition to individual EXO members having busy schedule, it is no wonder and expected that we will only getting only one comeback each year. The following year we may expect more solo activities or subunits as well, especially with more members serving the military. Meanwhile, Super Junior is finally coming back as a full group, with Ryeowook and Kyuhyun ending their military service. 

It is worth mentioning that Seventeen, another rising star in Kpop is having a big year in 2019 with three releases, Home, Hit and Fear. Of those, Home catapults Seventeen to greater height earlier in the year. In my opinion, Home appeals to larger audience, while Hit is a banger and Fear just okay. Seventeen, known for their amazing vocals and dance synchronisation, is going for world tour in 2020. We can expect big thing from Seventeen. Meanwhile, MonstaX has a bumpy year in 2019. Embroiled with controversies, MonstaX saw Wonho leaving the group in the second half of the year, shocking fans both in Korea and internationally. This was a major setback given 2018 had been a big year for MonstaX. They were featured in many American shows as well as making cameo in Bare Bears series. We can only hope Wonho and the rest of MonstaX members are are coping well through this unfortunate incident. Alligator and Follow were two major releases from MonstaX this year. Both are arguably typical MonstaX sounds. Other acts like Got7, Nuest, Winner, NCT also make comebacks, but are lacking the hypes compared to Seventeen and MonstaX. Perhaps, NCT 127 who are riding into their popularity in America is worth a special mention. However, Superhuman isn’t as powerful as Regular or Simon Says. NCT dream meanwhile, cameback with Boom Boom, which surprised me with catchy chorus.

In the girl group scenes, Twice has a good year as well. I mean when will Twice not have a good year right? This nation-loved girl group has two major releases with Fancy and Feel Special. Fancy is another Twice-ish song, loved by many and doing well in charts, but pales against Boy-with-Luv and internationally against Kill This Love. In fact, all these songs were released back to back. 2019 is indeed a year fandom war. Besides BlackPink and Twice, Red Velvet made three comebacks with Zimzalabim, Umpah Umpah and Psycho. The first two were the ‘Red’ sound while Psycho ‘Velvet’. To be honest, Psycho trumps them all. Befitting the name, the soft yet piercing high pitch sound is the unique signature of this song. It’s new and fresh. Similar concept to Peek-a-Boo and Bad Boy, Psycho is a must-listen. Unfortunately, Wendy, one of the members suffered injury during the year end music festival and I wish for a swift recovery for her.

Mamamoo was another big girl group that dominated 2019. Riding on the rising popularity in 2018 with their four seasons’ albums, Mamamoo had a comeback with Gogobebe and Hip. Both songs earned high spots in Korean major charts. One of the members, Hwasa also had a successful solo career with Twit, a catchy song laced with flute textures. Other acts such as GFriend, AOA and APink also made comebacks among others. APink, being a senior group among the rest, is worth mentioning for their comeback %%. If you haven’t listen to it, please do. %% was definitely a good song to start 2019.

In the rookie scene, Tomorrow by Together, the new Bighit boy group and the junior group to BTS had an amazing year with two major releases, Crown (Korean: One Day Horns Grew Out of my Head) being the debut song and Run Away (Korean: I Will Wait for You At Platform 9 3/4), their first comeback. Crown is the fun and bubbly pop song with Run Away delivering emo-rock style. We give a round of applaud to TXT (the short form — Bighit with its naming sense) for fresh sounds, setting them apart from the senior group BTS. ITZY, the new JYP girl group also had successful debut year. If TXT is called global Global Super Rookie, ITZY is the Monster Rookie for stellar performance in Korean charts and abroad especially wth Dalla Dalla — though not my kind of sound. One special mention is Oneus with Lit, a banger with Korean inspired sound — think of BTS’ Idol. 

The budding acts like Ateez and (G)Idle both have two comebacks this year. The former with Wave, a tropical house sound and Wonderland, a marching band-inspired sound, while the latter, continuing the Latin vibes with Senorita and Lion. Everglow also had successful comeback with releases such as Bon Bon Chocolat and Adios. Both are good catchy summer songs, with Adios being another marching band-inspired sound. It seems that 2020 will see the trend shift to this style of music. Meanwhile, Pentagon made a comeback with Humph!. This was the first comeback after EDawn left the group earlier. Humph! continues to deliver the signature sound of Pentagon, with its minimal layers of instruments.

The solo scene is dominated by Chung Ha, with successful releases such as Gotta Go at the start of the year and Snapping the second half. Chung Ha overshadowed Sunmi, who made a comeback with Lalalay. Lalalay is unique for its retro high-pitch eastern inspired instrumental sound. Big acts like IU and Taeyeon also made huge comebacks this year. IU’s Love Poem and Blueming performed well in charts as usual. Taeyeon had two releases, one at the start of the year with Four Seasons and one at the end of the year with Spark. Both songs did well. In the R&B scene, Heize released We Don’t Talk Together, composed by BTS’ Suga. The song is laden thick with emotions coupled with melancholic instrumental and visual. It seems that females dominated the solo scene, even in the OSTs scenes, with songs from Hotel del Luna blocking the charts. Of which, Heize’s Can You See My Heart?, Taeyeon’s A Poem About You and Paul Kim’s Goodbye are my personal favourites. Correction, Paul Kim is perhaps the only male act worth mentioning here who had a successful year with Me after You, Goodbye and Every Day Every Moment (a 2018’s release!).

In the duo scene, Bolbbagan4 and AKMU had an amazing 2019. Being digital Monster, Bolbbagan4’s releases are loved by Koreans. This year, the duo cameback with Workaholic. Meanwhile, AKMU is finally making a comeback after Lee Chan Hyuk’s release from military service with How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You Are the One I Love. Both songs earned them Perfect-All-Kill (PAK) in Korean charts (after the new system). The other PAK worth mentioning are IU’s Love Poem and Blueming as well as BTS’ Boy-with-Luv — the only PAK with the old system, arguably harder to achieve. Congratulation to all winners.

The band scene saw the rise of Jannabi, the indie band with retro sound. For Lovers Who Hesitate is an ode to the nineties, with its warm and tender retro sound. It’s also worth mentioning that the vocalist of Jannabi has charming and swoon-worthy vocals. Although the band faced some bumpy road that ended up with one member leaving the team, Jannabi is an act to watch for. N-Flying also had a successful start of 2019 with Rooftop. Originally the song didn’t do well in the chart but slowly rising and top the rank eventually, making them a rising newcomer in this industry. That leaves us with mature group like Day6 who has had stable releases over the years. This year Day6 releases Sweet Chaos, an alternative-rock bop.

While 2019 was a good year for many acts, 2019 also saw the rear side of Kpop. I won’t go through them in detail but it’s good to reflect on these series of events and hopefully do better in the next decade. To begin, 2019 is marred by the Burning Sun prostitution and drugs scandal that led to Seungri quitting Big Bang and Yang Hyun Suk leaving YG. Following this, the Jung Joon Young’s scandal on the sharing of explicit content in KakaoTalk, a Korean messaging platform, caused many acts to retire from the entertainment industry and brought others into the spotlight. The floodgate didn’t just stop there, B.I., the leader of iKon was also reported to have purchased drugs some years ago. B.I. left iKon, who had a successful 2018. The end of the year, we also learnt that the Produce 101 series were rigged with briberies and vote manipulations. The producers reportedly picked the final line-ups prior to nation-producers’ final voting counts. That is why also X1 and IZ-one had tough year in 2019, despite both of them having good releases prior to the exposé. I wonder how their future will look like? Lastly, Park Kyung exposed some artists for suspicion of sajaegi, or chart manipulation, that sparked a nationwide discussion. In fact, the issue of sajaegi had been raised up multiple times in the recent years but seemed to have blown-up more this year, with many artists stand in solidarity against sajaegi and fairer system. 

Before we end, allow us too a moment of silence. 2019 saw the passing of fx’s Sulli and Kara’s Hara, victims of malicious commenters and haters. It seems we didn’t learn from the passing of Jonghyun two years ago. While we are deeply mourning for the loss, I hope they are now in better place, happy and resting in peace.

In short, 2019 is indeed the best year of Kpop — and the worst at the same time. However, as previously said by Jang Geu Rae of Misaeng: when a project fails, it means we never planned properly, but we shouldn’t throw away the lessons from this failed project, we should learn from the setbacks and plan for better future. Echoing RM’s speech in Golden Disk Awards, we hope that Kpop artists will continue to work hard, produce good musics and be rewarded fairly. Let us hope for better Kpop scene in the new decade.

Jinho rather gives you gifts than receiving them. You are gathered by the Christmas Tree and he gives you your present with a big smile on his face and looks at you while opening. He knows what you like and is confident in his gift. Once it is time for him to open this gift his cheeks become red, like he almost didn’t expect a gift. He unwraps the gift. Once he sees you bought him an signed album of his favourite artist he doesn’t know if he should fanboy, kiss you or hug you, so he just ends up doing all three. He would be so smiley for the rest of the day and basically whenever he puts on the album.

·       Hwitaek (Hui)

“Damn baby why is this gift so heavy?” he says as he is trying to lift the giant gift. “You will see” you say with a grin. He opens it with a excited and curious look in his eyes. “omg baby, how did you know I needed this?” Hwitaek says now with widen opened eyes. It is a new keyboard. You noticed that Hwitaek came home grumpy after work for the last two weeks, while he is usually happy after making music. So you asked Hyunggu to investigate for you. It turn out his keyboard broke and stopped working, since it is pretty old. Hwitaek showered you in kisses and Thank you’s. It was totally worth it, because a few days later you see him come home happy after work.

·       Hongseok

After he showered you in amazing gifts you are very excited to give him yours. Since your boyfriend loves to work out, you bought him some awesome work out clothes and equipment. He was so happy with it since it was something that was very high on his wishlist. “Thanks baby” he says and wants to go in for a kiss. You stop him and say “But there is more” you say, “because this year my biggest gift to you is that I will join you with the work outs”. This is such a big gift to Hongseok, because he seriously wanted to work out with you. Not because you needed it, but he just thought it is fun getting fit together. He lifts you up and kisses you. “You are the best, you know that?”

·       Hyojong (Edawn)

You carefully gave the present to Hyojong. “It is very fragile, so please be careful” you say to him, because you know he likes to shake his gift before opening it. He always does it, so he could guess what is inside. Hyojong holds the big box on his lap very tight and is eager to open it. “This gift requires a story before you open it” you start, “we have been together for awhile and, like you said, we are ready for the next stage in our life. Give our love to another living creature”. Hyojong’s face changes a bit, but he is still very excited. “You can open it” and he immediately lifts the lid from the box. “A PUPPY!”. Hyojong couldn’t be more happy. This meant a lot to the both of you. He would seriously treat it as your child. He would be a proud father of this little pupper and would literally start to call you mama wolf.  

·       Shinwon

Shinwon is literally a little kid on Christmas. The bigger, the better. He can’t wait to get his present. Once he sees it is a small gift, he will be slightly disappointed. You giggle. It doesn’t matter to you, because you know he is going to love the present you bought him. He opens it and it reveals Tickets for a meet and greet with The 1975 and front row seats at the concert. He would be so shocked and so happy. Jumping around like a fanboy and he would literally hug you to death. “OMG YOU ARE AMAZING!”. “You.. are… welcome… but… please… let… me.. breath… shinwon!” you say while he hugs you (too) tightly. He wouldn’t shut up about it. He will tell everybody what you got him of Christmas and he would brag about it a bit. “My baby got me the best present EVER!”. 

·       Changgu (Yeo One)

Your present for Changgu is very special, since it is self-made. You made him a sweater since they look so good on him. You were very nervous to give the gift and he noticed that about you. He would be so excited when he opened the gifts. He would be genuinely be so happy with it. He would be very impressed about how you made it and that it looks SO GOOD! You never expected he would be so into this sweater. He would seriously wear it anytime and anywhere. “Baby, it is a fancy dinner are you sure you want to wear the sweater I made you?”. “Hell yeah! My baby made this, other people should see it too!”. (I feel so attack by this GIF asdfghjkl sorry I just had too...)

·       Yanan

You give Yanan his last present. He looks very surprised, because you decided to give each other only one gift this year. He rips the gift paper of the present to reveal a box. He opens and he is speechless. Two tickets to China. “I thought it would be a great time to finally meet your family” you said as a joke, because that is not why you bought them. You have noticed how much Yanan missed his family. Yanan isn’t really a person to cry because of gifts, but this one did make him emotional. He hugs you tightly and kisses your cheek. “Thank you so much, baby! It is indeed time for you to meet them”.

·       Yuto

You were nervous to give your gift to Yuto. You really like it as much as you do. You give the small gift to him and he is already so smiley and shy about it. He rips the gift paper of the present and it shows a box of jewellery store where you Yuto got your gift of last year (an necklace you still wear till this day). He opens the box to reveal two beautiful rings. “They are couple rings” you say, to prevent any confusion. Yuto becomes even more smiley. He loves couple stuff and becomes so smile when he puts on his ring and sees your name in Japanese plus the data you two got together. He puts on your ring and hugs you. He shows off his new ring to everybody he meets and seriously can’t stop smiling about it.

·       Hyunggu (Kino)

This year your present for Hyunggu wasn’t really expensive, but it was very personal. You know he always writes down his lyrics and stories in notebooks. You bought 5 basic notebooks and bought a shit load of craft stuff. You made every single notebook special. The first page was with a picture and lovely memories of you too. Once Hyunggu opened the gift he was speechless. The fact you put so much time and effort in this gift made him really emotional. He would shower you in a thousand kisses. Even when he is working in his notebook, he would just walk up to you and shower you in kisses again, because of your sweet words in the notebook. He is really happy with the gift, it gives him motivation to write more.

·       Wooseok

“OMG WHERE DID YOU FIND IT!” Wooseok says when he opened the gift. You have looked in every store and even online to find Wooseok’s favourite perfume. He always wore it when you two just started dating. It was a gift one of his friends gave to him when they came back from Europe. He was never able to find in Korea. “It took me a whole year to finally find it” you say and smile. “I am happy I did... The sent really reminds me of our first dates and our first kiss”.  Wooseok smiles and kisses you. “What did I do to get so lucky” he says and kisses you again.

you bopped your head to the music blasting through your headphones as you bounced down the brand new halls of the new jyp building. your sneakers squeaked against the floor as you bowed to the staff you passed and waved to a few friends you had made so far as a new part of jyp’s company.

but people recognized you everywhere you went and called you ‘jyp’s experiment’ because technically, that was what you were. the agents talent scouted you, more for your great musical abilities than your mixed race, and instantly you had become a trainee for jyp.

but that was over two years ago, and now you were officially a debuted idol in one of the newest girl groups,the first black and korean idol of the big three, so of course there was much talk in the kpop world of how much you were going to change it. you could produce, write your own songs, dance,sing, and act a bit, you were a triple hit and people called you trouble. not that you didn’t mind.

it was pretty early in the morning and so as you came to the dance practice rooms, some were still empty but a few had occupants. you were passing one of the rooms when a head of orange hair caught your eye. immediately backtracking, you glanced through the small window of the door to see felix of stray kids practicing alone.

you had only met him in passing a few times but he mostly kept your conversations short and brief,always smiling that gorgeous smile of his. he always practiced around the same time as you and you always wanted to have at least conversation but you just didn’t know how.

people always said you were a pretty open person and extremely a mess, a walking meme so to speak, but felix was different. he was australian just like you and you both struggled with korean coming to the country, so there was common topics,but he was always gone before you could start.

you watched him glide across the floor, his movements so effortless and sharp. he knew his balance and it was as if he connected to the music in a way you had never seen before.

you wanted to watch him for a little bit more,but you wanted to go over a few parts before your members got there. but right as you were about to leave, felix suddenly looked back directly at you,’catching your eye. embarrassed,you slowly backed away and quickly tried to walk away but instantly you heard the swift opening of the door.

“it’s rude to stare you know,” you heard his accent loud over your music. you were wondering if all the times he could’ve actually made conversation, why now when you looked like you just rolled out of bed and was staring at him hardcore. you turned around and scoffed, waving him off,”it wasn’t staring, it was admiring a fellow artist,”

felix smirked glancing down at his sneakers, then back up at you, sweat dripping down his forehead. “admiring? hmm I don’t think that’s the word for it,”

feeling how warm your cheeks were getting, you turned to leave,”g’day sunshine, mama’s gotta go!”

“see ya later peeper!”

you gasped turning back to him and the moment he began to laugh at you, you narrowed your eyes at him.” listen up sunset looking head ass boy, you trying me too early in the morning,” this insult only made him laugh harder and soon you broke into a smile just at seeing his face light up the way it did.

he finally calmed down to say,”you’re actually funny when you’re not rushing to get away from me. you know, as fellow aussie’s we should get to know each other.”

“hmm yeah no, i don’t become friends with boys that still use the word peeper,”

rolling his eyes, felix leaned against the door handle,”fine, admirer, let’s hang sometime later if you’re not busy.”

tilting your head at him as you backed away slowly, you hummed in thought,”I might take you up on that offer, I think you might be funny enough to roll with me.”

“I might be? oh girl you have no idea,”

and that’s truly how your friendship with felix grew. he hated being called sunset sunshine head by you but allowed you to do it because he thought you were cute. plus you spoke your mind, always tagged him in memes and did fortnite dances with him on the roof of the jyp building, without a care in the world.

even though your mini album was done, you were still working. you wrote lyrics, produced music, having the positions of maknae, a main dancer, rapper, and vocalist at times, you had a lot on your plate, but felix came in clutch with sending his memes of the day.

but international and korean fans eventually caught on to how close you two were.it truly wasn’t a secret that you both would make entire fools of yourselves backstage at music shows and the cameras caught it all. international fans truly went wild for it,some korean fans as well but not everyone was very happy about it and didn’t keep it secret.

one late night, after a music show performance, you returned to the studio to work on a new song you had begun to write. but after getting stuck on a line, you ended up just reading some comments online because they truly were your guilty pleasure.

“y/n and felix are a whole ass mood,”

“she’s annoying,”

“omg what if felix and y/n are secretly dating and end up like edawn and hyuna?”

“I can’t stand how weird y/n is, sorry not sorry.”

you were still scrolling, immersed in the comments that you hadn’t heard felix enter the room. it wasn’t until he approached you, his cologne catching your attention.

“creeping on me again, sunshine? you are still failing to scare me homie,” huffing, felix sat beside you and spun in his chair,”i wasn’t trying to scare you, I thought I told you I gave up on that after you punched me in the face the last time.” you pursed your lips before nodding,”you tried to get me while I was coming out of the bathroom, mama always said you gotta be cautious ya know?”

felix rolled his eyes and smiled at you,”aren’t you supposed to be working on something important?”

“aren’t you supposed to be resting before another show?” you counter question and he shrugs, shrugging back, you continue.”I’m just reading some comments about us,”

“they are by the thousands, don’t read them,”

“but some are so cute! people actually ship us together! funny thing is we barely text with words, our friendship is literally in memes,”

felix smirked, his eyes dancing in the dim light of the studio.”meme king and queen, we should be crowned.”

“but they are cuddle bugs! a animal made for cuddling! totally beats humans any day, fight me.” felix giggled, sitting up to lean forward on his knees.”i don’t know why I like you, you’re so weird.”

you tilt your head at him and he realizes what he said and his eyes widen,”wait-run that by me again?” a smile curling the corners of your mouth. but felix was panicking,”chan is calling me, gotta blast!” he was out of the studio before you could get another word out of him.

but he just confessed to liking you. was it like-like? or just as a friend? you weren’t sure but it made you feel happy inside.

groaning you out down your fork, less interested in your taco salad. “nina, I’m not repeating it again, it’ll be for the fourth time! he said he liked me.” nina, was a member of your girl group, half cuban and your best friend.

“but y/n,” she whined,”context is important! I mean he does talk about you a lot but you do the same about him too so- wait, do you like him?”

you shrugged and glanced around the small restaurant trying to avoid her sharp hazel eyes.

suddenly, she gasped, her hand smacking the table and making many people look over to you two.

“you do like him! damnit! I should’ve known after you made a literal moodboard of meme felix faces!”

“that doesn’t mean anything!”

nina narrowed her eyes at you and made a stank face,”the only time you ever did that was for pepe and kermit and claimed you only made meme moodboards for your current crushes.”

pouting, you crossed your arms,”dang it nina, stop paying attention to things I say! I was hoping you would forget about that.”

“yeah well I didn’t. so why don’t you just tell him? the boy probably is goin’ crazy thinking you don’t feel the same,”nina said going back to stuffing pieces of chicken into her mouth.

“you know you’ve got to chew it, right?”you ask as she inhaled the chicken, she held her hand up to you and ate even faster before she choked on a piece and cried because she had to spit it all out. you didn’t let her know that you had gotten it all on camera and already getting screenshots for meme pictures later.

the next time you saw felix in person, he was leaving one of the dance studios just as you were leaving a producing room. it reminded you kind of when you guys first became friends.

you couldn’t help but feel a bit sad and reminiscint about the fact that you both went from talking all the time and walking to the building together to nothing. you knew he had been avoiding you by the lack of memes and strings of whiny texts.

you saw him before he saw you and thought it was now or never.”hey stranger danger,” his head shot up at the sound of your voice, his fading orange hair was wet from sweat, sticking to his forehead, reminding you of fading sunset light. his jacket was slung over his shoulder as he was mid-singing through his duffel for his headphones.

“oh hey, dude.”

“you really are going to dude-zone me? the disrespect I feel is abundant,” you say in mock hurt, touching your chest. he broke into a smile and glanced down at his shoes.

“like I really was out here about to tell you how I like you and all and how your freckles remind me of the stars and your hair the sunshine but no-“

“wait really?” his face lit up in shock, his eyes going wide. biting your lip, you rocked on your heels.”yeah, yeah you know but if you don’t feel the same anymore it’s cool.”

felix shook his head,” feelings don’t disappear that fast y/n, I just didn’t know what to do when I accidentally confessed.”

“you could’ve just waited like two more seconds and I would’ve been like yo dude, I like you two, let’s reign as the meme couple and slay these hoes.” felix began to laugh again and you smiled seeing his face brighten as he did. his smile and laugh was seriously your favorite and you shamelessly stared at him.

“well, if that offer is still on the table,”he started as he walked closer to you until you had to glance up to see him better. “then I would happily reign with you,” you giddily rocked back and forth and smiled at him.

“well yeah cool, I would give you a little peck and all but you is a sweaty mess and if you touch me we gonna fight so I suggest you back it up like ten feet.”

“what? you don’t like me like this?” he teased trying to sexily run his fingers through his hair but it only made you laugh at him.

SO I HAD A DAY DREAM AND I SHARED IT WITH @jeonslilmonster and now Im posting it here because its a mess and Im a mess heads up long post a head(there is more under the cut)! I apologize for all the spelling mistakes this was written when I was either A VVVV tired or B really rushing x’d enjoy

so uuh basically it's a stupid thing but I like debuted with a girl group  and the concept had been like pretty sweet and cute so far but not like sugary sweet just sweet enough and it was like a open secret that I maybe a little bit had some sort of feelings directed towards Kino

and it was put on record more then once by other members in like behind the scenes and stuff  teasing me about listening to their music and watching them from backstage of MCD and stuff

so then like every body knew sort of well our entire company knew and they reached out to Cube and was like 

''HEY so you know our girl group that is kind of on the rise and getting really populor yeah you know our main dancer? we were thinking maybe she could collab with one of the members from pentagon for like a co-ed subunit thing and like we're just throwing this out there but maybe they could have like a reality show as well showing their relationship build and their teamwork getting better and they're like living together kind of like a behind the scenes and were just throwing this out there but maybe it could be like Kino because he's a dancer two and that would make them a really great dancing couple we mean unit''

so cube was like looking at our company and back at Kino then back at our company and then back at Kino and Kinos like wut? and Cube is like 

''WE LOVE THIS IDEA ON the condition that we can have Hui and E-dawn make the track for them.'' 

and our companys like ''WE WERE JSUT GOING TO THROW IT OUT THERE THAT HUI AND EDAWN COULD MAKE THEIR TRACK FOR THEM!''  

and basically the ceo of Cube and our ceo were happily jumping around like best momfreinds thinking their were onto the next big thing

meanwhile we're all like practising for a showcase coming up and just ot like stay in shape and were having fun and stuff when the Ceo walks in and were like 

OH SNAP HE FOUND OUT ABOUT OUR SNACK HIDE OUT AND THERE IS CAMERAS  SO WERE THINKING WE ABOUT TO GET SCOLDED ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL

 so we're terrified but turns out he didn't and he just wanted to brief us on the unit thing and I didn't even realize it was me until the leader in my group pointed it out like 

''oohoooooo look at our little dancer going to do a co-ed unit with some boy just don't fall in love to easily'' i was like wuuut meee?? wait wait wait who is this sub unit with?? and the CEO JUST STRAIGHT UP SMIRKS AND GOES 

''oh you know just Pentagons Kino'' 

AND THEN JSUT MAKES UP A SHITTY EXCUSE WHY AND OUT GROUP GOES MAD LAUGHING AND COOING AND I'M JSUT BLUSHING DYING ON THE INSIDE TRYING TO KEEP MY COOL AND my leader goes

 ''GUESS THE FALLING PART IS ALREADY TO LATE FOR HUH!?''

cut to the actual start of the reality shoot which is move in day and before this like me an dKino hadn't really met up because they wanted this to be a SUPER genuine interaction so I arrive early and I walk around in the small but cosy apartment trying to calm myself down and distracting myself by looking at the different things inspecting the kitchen and unpacking but I still finished everything before he arrived so I probably sat on the couch and freaked out a little relaxing by playing a game on my phone with ear buds in. 

so I didn't hear him when he came in and he just like looked around and saw my feet hanging over the couch edge and walked over saying hello again and I just bounce up blushing apologizing and bowing and saying hello to him and he's like nonon it's okay it's nice to see that you've settled in and then we talk for a bit and he goes to unpack and I just literally deflate on the couch

Then he comes out of his room and asking if there is any food in the fridge and I'm like no and I'm reaaaally hungry so he's like then we should go grocery shopping so we out our jackets on and we leave and it's kind of awkward walking there but once inside I'm going into full food shopping mode and im pulling out a cart and just sliding along 

and we start talking about what we should eat and he's like lets do take out and I'm like noooooo I'll cook I'm not really feeling take out tonight so we buy stuff for that and he picks out regular noodles 

and before I like point it out that I need gluten free ones he's like ''oh wait you're gluten intolerant right? will rice noodles work?'' 

and he reaches behind me 

bAXKING ME UP AGAISN THE WALL 

SO IM TRRAPPED BETWEEN HIM AND A WALL

and I'm like y-yeah rice noodles totally work 

and then I'm like h-how did you know I was gluten intolerant????? 

because honestly HEARTATTCKMOMENT RIGHT THERE and he just shrugs and goes ''I've watch your group on varitey shows and seen you suffer when they order pizza you cant eat.'' and I just went 

''woaaah so chic'' without even thinking and he just chuckles and pulls the cart along while I'm hanging over it (now you can totally imagine how this would be edited right?!??)

then we head back to our little apartment and he helps me unpack and I tie my hair up and start prepping the food and he's like do you need help can I help in any way and I'm like uuuhmm no I'm fine you should relax for a while this won't be taking so long and he's like but I really want to help you don't have to do all of this by yourself and 

I'm like go relax AND LET ME COOK A MEAL FOR MY SUNBAENIM and he's like okay okay and he goes off into his bedroom for a while before he comes out and says ''I'm taking a shower''

 and as soon as he closes the door I deflate again muttering to myself before getting up like nothing happened and continued to cook quietly for myself humming a little just plating up as he got out (fully dressed) 

and I'm like ''ah I just finished!'' and he comes over and I move a bowl closer to him and hand him some utensils and we star to eat and he looks geniune when he smiles and says that he really likes it and I go ''good because this won't happen often''

 and he just laughs and then he asks if I cook often for you guys and I'm like yeah when I moved here they'll probably miss my food more then me and he chuckles in disbelife for a moment and once we're finished he's like 

'' I'll do the dishes since you cooked thank you really'' and I'm like o-okay just save the left overs! before I head off and also take a shower taking off my make up and dressing in my pyjamas walking out just as I finished putting a face mask on and I just go 

''watch out there's a monster!'' 

and he's like where? and he turns around and I jump out with a grey bubbly mask and he jumps a little and I laugh so hard I almsot fall over

and then I wash it off and walk back out again really smug that I got him and we end up sitting on the ouch for a while talking about our schedules for tomorrow where the cameras are rigged how I totally got to him and so on

and then the show goes like that and it shows us growing closer and closer with each task we do together and we both have a selfcamera that we bring to our seperete activities and Kino brought his to his practice with pentagon and while they are resting they start grilling him like 

''is she cute? have you seen her without make up? did she really cook for you? when can we meet her?''

 and he just tries to answer casually but they are boys so of course they are going to ask wierd quesitions and then Hui grabs the camera when hes talking to Kino and he lowers it pretending that he turned it off 

and he just goes ''okay so off the record you think she's cute right?'' and kino just like ''y-yeah I mean she's cute but-''

''so you've liked her for a long time right?'' ''ah hyung how did you-''

''I keep track of things now answer me you like her... right? like more as a friend like her?'' and Kino hestites for a moment cringing that he's opening up about this and just goes. 

''yes. I really like her... she's just so...special.....yeah there is nobody like her’’ and Hui just 

nods and puts a hand on his shoulder.

''well I think you should talk to her and tell her how you feel.'' ''but what if she doesn't like me the same way?'' and Hui just looks and him deadpanned and goes 

''if you've seen one episode of her groups reality show you'll know that's a stupid question'' and then he hands the camera to him and walks away and when Kino looks down he's like

 THIS IS STILL RECORDING YAH HYUNG GET BACK HERE

and when the editors get this clip they are like....... bro.....this is gold bro.....but bro....we should talk to the ceos bro....I know bro....and probably them too bro...I know bro 

SOOOO they did talk to the Ceo and they just swirvel around in their chairs going ''excelent'' and they call up each other like our masterplan is working...and then cube ceo would call Kino into his office and show him the video

 and after it ended he would go ''confess to her'' and Kino would be so confused like but I our company?? the reputation??? and cube just hushes him and goes ''we've been looking at the comments and me and her ceo already hoped for this and we think it'll only help both groups immensly!'' ''but the dating ban?'' ''what dating ban??'' 

and then our ceo would call me in like ''hey so I know that you like Kino'' and I'm like all dramatically going 

''OOOhho nnOOO hOw DId yOU finD OUT IT's noT LIke my memBERS HAS BEEN OUting ME  sinC e day 1'' 

and he'd just laugh and go ''I think you should confess'' and I'm like ''okay I think you are delusional forrellz '' and he's like 

''nonono this'll be good''

and he'd be like ''you won't be rejected''

and I'd be a blushing mess pouting like ''th-those aren't proof'' and he's just groan and face palm. ''trust me please! when have I ever lied to you?''

so that night when I got home to that tiny little apartment Kino hadn't arrived yet so I had the place for myself for a  while and I made some dinner ar set aside some for him and I changed into some really comfy clothes and just laid down on the floor and watched netflix thinking over everyhting the CEO told me sighing deeply rolling around on my back and sighing into the floor until I heard a chuckle. 

''Long day?'' ''yeah, there's food in the kitchen for you.'' ''a-ah thank you but I already ate.''

 ''great more for me then! I really nailed it this time!'' I'd say smiling as I got off the floor and started to walk over to the kitchen until he stopped me.

 ''BUT I'm still pretty hungry andI'm not going to miss out on a homecooked meal.'' 

and I just looked at him and the arm he was holding out infront of me trying to calm myself form a moment. ''I don't understand how you eat so much?! Do all boys eat this much food?'' and he'd just laugh and grab the food and heat it while I went back to the couch and nuzzled up in a corner. 

''what are you watching?'' ''I don't know I stopped paying attention 3 episodes ago...'' and it was quiet for a while. 

''you seem to have a lot on your mind... d-do you want to talk about it?'' and I contemplated it for a while before asking if it was okay and he just went ''we're the same age go ahead!''

and I braced myself and turned towards him slightly and nervously pulled on my shirt before talking . 

''so uhhh... my CEO called me into a meeting today and he talked to me about things that I foolishly thought I had managed to keep away from him...'' I said biting my cheek face palming. ''o-oh? did you get in trouble?'' I shook my head ''n-no quite the opposite h-he uhm want me to take a chance and uhm pursue this thing because he says it'll work out in my favor.......so yeah... I'm still a bit torn since there is another party involved and I don't know how they would react.'' I said blushing and fidgeting like a mad man almost hiding in my shirt out of embarresment

and he'd just nod putting down his empty bowl and turning towards me.

''and honestly I just feel like en idiot because I get so nervous about it.'' I mumbled and looked at him then looking away blushing and he'd just hum and scratch the back off his head like. 

''I-I had a similar meeting today as well...'' ''ah really?'' ''y-yeah but I uh was outed by my groupmates and I-I think that's why I was called in a-a-and m-m-maybe you t-t-too...'' he'd say stumbling over almost every word and we just look at each other 

blushing trying to figure out if the other is thinking the same thing until I spoke. 

''s-so I-I can assume that the other party w-would be onboard....?'' I'd ask shyly and he'd just nod and I'd relax before just deciding to go for it. 

''B-because I-I sort of...ummm for a long time i've ummm liked you.... but I uh wasn't s-sure h-how uhm y-you would f-feel s-so i-i haven’t been brave enough to say anything...'' 

I'd say while my heart beated so fast I could barely breathe being to scared to look at him. 

and I'd feel the couch shift and I'd look up 

and he'd sit 

ALOT MORE CLOSE  

and he just put a hand on my knee blushing.

 ''I-I've l-liked you for a l-long time too and n-nobodys known u-until my hyungs confronted me about it....

I-I turn into a fool around things like this b-but nobodys like you a-and y-yeah'' 

and I'd be such a  blushing mess squealing slightly and just faceplanting forward into his shoulder whining.

 ''why does this feel so awkward why am I so awkward oh god.'' and he'd just chuckle and move closer and sit me backup still blushing and 

we just end up looking at eachother for a while until he goes.

''Close your eyes...'' 

and I'd just blush and do so and 

I could feel him coming closer until 

he stopped right infront of me whispering

 ''Is this okay?'' 

and I'd just nodd slightly 

before he pressed his lips to mine 

and almost imidiatly my hands  went up to his chest resting my hands there relaxing into it ( now imagine the edit where it cuts right after he asked if it was okay)

and then it would cut to both of us in the kitchen ordering take out being a little bit more touchy and standing a bit closer together like there is a hand on my back or a hand on his arm lingering  and after we order 

I'd sit myself on the counter and we'd look at each other for a while just smiling at each other. 

''how long?'' He'd ask and I'd just chuckle shaking my head. ''welll uh...let's jsut say since before I debuted but uh my emotions really escalated after my debut the one time we met backstage of inkigayo we were just saying hi but my heart raced so fast....'' I said clutching my chest smiling to myself 

''what about you?'' I'd ask looking at him and he'd just smile and walk over to stand across from me. 

''since before that I uh I saw your group busking really close to your debut and they way to treated all of your fans and how sweet you were it just...I would've stayed for the enitre busking if not my hyungs dragged me away...'' 

he said and I just raised my eyebrows in confusing like ''you knew who I was?'' ''of course! Why wouldn't I?'' ''wuah... I thought I was a nobody in your world until recently... when my ceo told me about this collab I thought the universe was playing a prank on me.'' 

I said and then the food arrived so he went to go and get it and then we sat down on the floor in the livingroom and ate and continued talking almost like nothing had happened but with maybe a little more deeper subjects.

cut to after the song is released (this is after Shine everything else was before) and Kino and I get invited to ASC with our subunit and we start the recording and Jae is like 

''you two also have a realityshow coming out right now where the two of you live together how was it living together?''

 and me and Kino just give each other one look and start laughing. 

''it was really nice actually, when it's just two people you can get a lot more privacy then in our regular dorms.'' ''and since we're the same age it wasn't really that awkward.'' 

and jae's like this sin't the juicy stuff I wanted and goes 

''okay but there had to be somethings that really bothered you about each other?'' and we just looked at each other again.

''I mean no-'' ''well there is this one thing Kino does.'' ''WHAT!?'' '' it's not like a huge deal but he kept using my soap and like I'm fine with sharing but he doesn't tell me and thinks he will get away with it?'' 

and Kino just breaks apart and Jae is laughing like a mad man, 

''BUT IT SMELLS SO MUCH NICER but if we are going there she is REALLY quiet like REALLY QUIET I don't know how she does it but when she walks she walks so lightly I can't hear anything and then all of the sudden shes next to me I still havent gotten used to that.''

 ''what can I say I'm a ninja'' 

and the show goes on and we talk about the song and then jae asks us what our favourite song of each other is and Kino goes first and says like a b-side that he likes and I'm like 

''I REALLY like shine'' and jaes like oh why? and I'm like looking at Kino smiling going ''well it reminds me of something yet to be revealed in our show.'' 

and Kino's just chuckling and Jae is hella confused and then I go. 

''Also the chorepgraphy is really funny.''

and then we talked to our fans and  it was really funny doing the missions and answer the fans questions and since I knew the internet lingo that signs where really funny to me an then

when the show ended after it was Done Jae was like isn't Shine like about being foolishly in love? 

and I just pat his shoulder and go 

''watch the next episode'' 

which was going to be released that night 

so me and Kino went on with out day and we were trying to decide if we should watch it together or with our groups 

and we decided that we should watch it together to get a little less off the backlash from you guys since we still havent told them 

so that night we got to our little apartment and we started the episode and commented on the editing and then the clip where

Hui totally tricked Kino came up I just laughed and pushed him. 

''you're so easily fooled!'' and '

'I TOLD YOU I'M A FOOL WHEN IT COMES TO YOU!'' 

and we kept watching and he wrapped his arma round my shoulder so I could rest my head on his and when the scene were we confessed came up both of us inched closer and closer at the editing 

''wuah it's like a drama'' 

and then came the part where he leans forward

 and asks if it was okay 

and then it cuts to black 

and the episode is over 

and we just go into an outburst yelling. 

''YAH THEY CAN'T DO THAT!?'' 

''THIS IS THE WORST CLIFFHANGER IN HISTORY'' 

''I HATE THIS DRAMA IT'S THE WORST'' 

''it's our reality show.'' 

''OH RIGHT... I forgot that''

‘What kind of group do you want to be a part of? Girl group or Co-ed Hobbies and skills? Reading (My favourite genre is fantasy or something a little dark and twisted - nothing to scary though! Dark fantasy is the best!), I like to dance aswell but it's hardly a skill, I'm trying to learn Korean, and I love listening to music/watching good mvs (I live a pretty boring life 😂) Do you play any instruments? If you mean Kdrama, I haven't gotten round to watching any yet, however my fav tv shows are American horror story and Teen wolf. Notable physical features? I have dyed Dark red hair, My eyes are a Hazel/Green and they look hella Green in bright light, and my lips are quite full and naturally rosy coloured. Also I get cold VERY easily, my hands always are numb in winter to the point my fingertips often go slightly blue (Not really a noticable festure but..😅). How would you describe your personality? I get stressed pretty easily which sometimes results in me becoming emotional - I also have a hot temper. I'm either absolutely awful at holding grudges and being angry at someone (especially if we're really close) however I can also be VERY good at holding grudges too. I tend to get quite jealous very easily. I love making friends; however when meeting new people (or even just being around people I don't know that well/i'm not that close to) I can be extremely awkward and shy - yet around people i'm close to, i'm very loud, bubbly, and crazy in a good way. I'm prone to laughing a lot when i'm with my friends - especially to the point of being unable to stop laughing. I can sometimes seem very withdrawn and introverted at times too though. I get embarrassed very easily and blush a lot. I love skinship and can be very affection towards my friends, they often say I can be a little clingy, for example If i'm tired or bored I usually rest my head on them and I love jumping on their backs when they least expect it - I can be quite childish and playful at times 😂 - I love hugs to and apparently I give really good hugs. I love having fun however I get bored very easily, i'm nearly always up for an adventure and I especially love amusement parks and places like arcades and even playareas (ofcourse I just go in their to "supervise my younger siblings" 🤣) I also loves playing games like tag and hide 'n seek 😅 i'm just a child at heart; although I do have those days where I just want to lay in bed and do nothing but watch movies or sleep. I am a major procrasinator - it's so bad - homework is nearly always left til last minute and tasks often forgotten about 😖however if I get stuck into doing something like cleaning or writing or something then I usually do it very thoroughlly - 😂 after all the motivation needed to start the job. I also tend to zone out a lot and am a big daydreamer. I have a very active imagination and can get jumpy and scared very easily though I like to act brave. My friends also often say I tend to be quite cute and smol but also quite sassy. (Sorry If I wrote a lot 😅). Are you an introvert or an extrovert? Probably more of an Ambivert.’

·       Jinho

Jinho was working upstairs and you were down stairs. It was a long day for the both of you. Jinho already did the dishes yesterday, so today it was your turn. Jinho was preparing some of his lines in the musical he was performing in. You were a big fan of the musical so you decided to sing some of the songs. You tired, but the melody gave you energy. Even though not everything was a clear or good as Jinho, you were still having fun. All of a sudden you fell Jinho’s arms around your waist, which startled you. “You are my favorite fan, baby” and gave you a kiss on your cheek.

·       Hwitaek (Hui)

Hwitaek came home early from the meeting. Today they were discussing their new album. He was in a bad mood, because Cube turned down some of the ideas he had. “They wouldn’t fit the concept, so maybe for the next one” they told him. When he opened the door he heard a lot of noise coming from the kitchen. He heard you singing to one of his songs. He walked in the kitchen. He found you extremely adorable. You were dancing like a total idiot, thinking Hwitaek would come home at 10 pm instead of 9 pm. He just smiled and thought to himself that no matter what happened today, you could make everything better.

·       Hongseok

Hongseok was cleaning the dinner table and you promised to do the dishes tonight. The radio was playing and it played one of your favourite songs. You just started dancing and singing along. You totally forgot that Hongseok was home. He walked into the kitchen with his hands full of plates and just started smiling in at the sight. He immediately joined you and started singing just as loud as you did. This way it took you a full hour to do the dishes, but Hongseok and you had a lot of fun dancing and singing. “We need to do this more often!”

·       Hyojong (Edawn)

The house was a total mess when you came home. You thought Hyojong probably invited the other pentagon members over for dinner. You sighed and took it upon yourself to clean the mess they left. You were pretty pissed, but you knew putting on some loud music would make your mood a bit better. You sang a long as loud as you could and made the best out of the situation. Hyojong came into the kitchen all sleepy. He entered so quietly that he scared the hell out of you. Apparently he was home all this time. “What did I do deserve you… I am so sorry about the mess baby, I promise to do the dishes for the rest of the week… ”.

·       Shinwon

You were singing while doing the dishes. You didn’t noticed Shinwon came into the kitchen to listen to you. Once you noticed him, you immediately stopped singing. Shinwon would tease you about your shyness. “Do I make you nervous?”. He really wanted to hear you sing again, but when you refused to sing for him he became all whiny. “Awwwhhhh baby, please! You sound so good when you sing… I want to hear that too… I will the dishes next time, if you sing for me!”.

·       Changgu (Yeo One)

“Leave the dishes up to me, baby. Just go lay down.” You told Changgu. He worked very hard today, so you were happy to help. You were fine with doing the dishes. You just put in some earplugs and some good music. You were in the mood for some Pentagon songs. Supporting your boyfriend is something you loved to do. You sang along with all the songs will cleaning. After loudly singing along to ‘Run away’, you heard someone clapping behind you. It was Changgu, smiling like an idiot because of your “amazing” singing skills. “I didn’t know you know all the lyrics to our songs! I am so proud!”.

·       Yanan

Yanan and you had a fight about who would do the dishes today. You agreed on doing the dishes, if he got our favourite dessert from the grocery store nearby. Thinking Yanan was already getting the dessert you started to sing a made-up song about wanted the desert and how you loved Yanan more than that dessert. Since it was a song you made up yourself, it wasn’t the best song in the world. You were enjoying ourselves with your silly song, untill you heard someone giggle behind you. “I know you love desserts, but I didn’t know you love me even more than that”.

·       Yuto

Yuto left to practise some more with Hyunggu tonight, so you were left alone with the dishes. You didn’t really mind, because that was the time you could put on some music and just do some of the tasks around the house. You put your earplugs in your ears and put on a Japanese song Yuto recommended to you. You sang along trying to practise your Japanese. Since you knew nobody was home you weren’t afraid to practise and sing loudly. You didn’t hear Yuto coming home, because he forgot his phone charger. He was amazed and amused by the view he was coming home to. He waited a while to listen to you and smile like a total idiot. “Damn… I am a lucky guy”.

·       Hyunggu (Kino)

Hyunggu was a bit frustrated because he was working on a song, but it wasn’t working out well. You decided to take it on yourself to do the dishes to make Hyunggu feel a little less stressed. Hyunggu asked you very often to listen the song and asked what the song was missing, but to you it was just fine. His song was stuck in your head so you sang it while cleaning. Hyunggu heard you and was amazed. He walked to the kitchen and just stood there, smiling at you. “What was is wrong, Hyunggu?”. “I think I just found out what the song was missing”.

·       Wooseok

Today it was your turn to do the dishes. Wooseok was playing some video games in the room next to you, but you knew he was too focused on the game to even hear you sing. You just sang along to a song you put on and it sounded good. You were dancing and cleaning at the same time. It took you way too long to notice that Wooseok was standing behind you, filming you. He gave himself away, because he giggled when you accidentally got the lyrics wrong. “You sound so good baby. I just had to film this”.
