-How can a man (Flug) get pregnant? It's impossible.
Flug could be a trans man, they can get pregnant bc they're usually born with an uterus. I was. I'm 27 weeks right now🐊🙌🏻✨
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think other people would just explain it with "it's fictional so anything is possible". Black Hat can canonically impregnate people by making them drink his saliva, none of dis shit makes sense or works irl

"Go See The Day the Earth Blew Up" Masterpost
this isn't really anything new for anyone following me, but i wanted to make a comprehensive post covering my adamence on seeing this movie--i have a lot of different versions of a lot of different posts being spread around, and wanted to uncross the wires a bit. entering Tumblr PSA mode for a bit like it's 2013 all over again--bear with me!
before getting into the nitty gritty, though, this is a TIME SENSITIVE POST. most theaters were beginning to pull the film out as early as end of day TODAY--not even a full WEEK'S worth of a run. but, thanks to word of mouth, the film has mostly been extended to the end of the weekend. with continued word of mouth and support, the film has a chance to run even longer.
Tumblr media
What the Heck is The Day the Earth Blew Up
The Day the Earth Blew Up is an all traditionally hand-drawn, 2D animated film starring Looney Tunes' own Porky Pig, Daffy Duck and Petunia Pig. initially announced in September of 2021, it's the very first all traditionally animated film in the franchise's entire 95 year run.
Why Haven't I Heard About The Day the Earth Blew Up
originally intended to be a direct to streaming release, this film's existence has been wrung through the wringer. for the benefit of tax cuts, Warner Bros. wrote the film off and just barely avoided axing it entirely--even during its production. the film was put up for sale and only just last summer finally was able to procure an independent distributor, Ketchup Entertainment. unfortunately, Ketchup Entertainment is a much smaller name than Warner Bros. is, and because WB isn't releasing it, it's Ketchup who is marketing and spreading the film--obviously, something incredibly difficult to do with a very small budget.
Why the Heck Should I See The Day the Earth Blew Up
hand-drawn, traditionally animated films are all but extinct in theaters, and by setting the film up for what could essentially be described as sabotage, a meager box office performance is the perfect excuse for the suits to claim that there's no more demand for traditionally animated movies anymore.
it's the first all-animated Looney Tunes film in the entire franchise's history.
you don't have to have any knowledge or attachment to the characters to enjoy the film--there are absolutely no prerequisites required (but there are plenty of loving nods to fellow fans of the film.) i dragged my best friend to see this with me who doesn't have the same LT brain parasite that i do and she absolutely loved it.
WB just axed the entire LT library of shorts off of HBO Max, as well as gutted all of the cartoons freely available on their YouTube channel--there seems to be a clear embarrassment for the franchise on their behalf, and seeing the film proves that notion dead wrong.
supporting the film spreads the message that there is a demand for the love and craft that goes into these films. you will genuinely be experiencing history in the making--when's the last time you've seen a brand new, all traditionally animated film in the theaters from the States?
Tumblr media
crew members themselves are urging you to spread your support and mention how it empowers them to keep making more
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the money goes to Ketchup, not Zaslav--you don't have to worry about boycotting the film. the absolute opposite is necessary.
Tumblr media
supporting this film could potentially spawn similar films with similar opportunities. Eric Bauza himself has mentioned that suport and turnout for this film could see a potential revival in Coyote vs. ACME, another film victim to WB's tax writeoffs all in the name of the dollar
Tumblr media
EDIT: Ketchup Entertainment is in talks with WB to distribute Coyote vs ACME!!! because of the word of mouth and positivist surrounding The Day the Earth Blew Up!! keep it coming!!
Tumblr media
it's likely that the film will be completely overshadowed by the Snow White remake, with theaters initially beginning to pull screens to make way for early previews. what could be more poetic than supporting an all traditionally hand-drawn film over a cash-grab remake of the very first feature length traditionally hand-drawn film?
How Else Can I Support The Day the Earth Blew Up
GO SEE IT! go see it again! go see it with your siblings, your friends, your family! tell your coworkers! reblog this post! spread the news! keep the conversation going!
pre-orders for the Blu-ray, releasing May 27th, are already scheduled
Tumblr media
there's a limited edition run of 1,000 copies for the film's soundtrack on vinyl!
Tumblr media
said soundtrack is also available on YouTube, which you should likewise listen to! get those view counts up!
Why the Heck Should I Listen to You
i'm asking myself the same thing! but, i do want to put this out there: i get it. i usually do not like being a walking advertisement. i know this is full on shill-mode and you're surely asking "you're being paid, aren't you" (i wish!). i also share the Ferocious Contrarian Gene where seeing posts like these is an instant way for me to NOT want to see the film. i genuinely understand how pushy and obnoxious this can come off. especially since, clearly, i'm a little biased to the franchise and these characters. i also balk at the guilt trippy idea of "YOU'RE A MONSTER IF YOU DON'T SUPPORT THIS FILM YOU KILLED ANIMATION". i HATE that rhetoric with a passion, and that only is going to alienate people from wanting to see this further. please know that's not the intent of my messaging here at all.
but even beyond my personal biases, i really think this is a film worth supporting. movies like this are a once-in-a-lifetime event anymore, and that could only be exacerbated by how this film's fate is handled. i've been overjoyed with the amount of messages i've received from people who said they caught the film on a whim and enjoyed it--especially from those without a clear LT bias like myself. it's proven that this film is enjoyable for anyone.
also, just, spite. the reason you haven't heard about it is by design. this film has been set up to fail. and while the success shouldn't be the sole responsibility or burden of the consumers, but instead the higher-ups, you are making a difference by supporting and spreading word of mouth of this film. crew members themselves are saying so. the distributor themselves are saying so.
Tumblr media
i'm not expecting a miracle for this film, as much as i'd love one. i will genuinely be surprised if it makes a profit (which it should at a measly $15 million, pennies compared to most features that look much worse than this). but that's all the more reason to TRY rather than give up and say there's nothing we can do. you all have been making such a wonderful difference. that energy needs to continue, not dwindle. every single person is able to make a difference.
there are a lot worse ways you could be spending your time than spending an hour and a half at the theaters enjoying some gorgeous traditionally hand-drawn animation on the big-screen, feeling good that you're helping to spread a message and supporting the hard, loving craft of the people who worked on it. imagine if all "good turn"s in the world could be as fun and easy as seeing an animated comedy!

Finally drew Felix, I haven't drawn him in literal years. I think I last drew him in like 2021 omg. The fact that he's my favourite but I never draw him should be a crime.
This is just a little sketch I did traditionally and then just airbrushed some colour digitally to play around with. I think I like #4 the most, I just really like the idea of Felix having heterochromia. He looks so nice with all three colour options I see why artists have a hard time picking a consistent eye colour for him. What is people's options on their preferred Felix colourings?
I've always wondered why animals with predominantly black tuxedo coats are just considered black in inky mystery and other toonverse stuff. I understand from an animation perspective due to the lack of colour but wonder why that is in fan content. What is considered a tuxedo coat vs a black coat, where is the line drawn at? I'm guessing it's when just the face is white and all the rest of the fur is black.

Who are your favorite yautja artists? And what do you like most about each person's art?
I have a lot of favorites, so be prepared for a huge list
first on my list is @ isei-silva / @ isei-bleeds I love how their artwork looks like watercolor paintings. the grainy texture in their art isn't too obvious, but its very subtle. I love their use of colors in their work, usually having darker shades and tones. I also love their non-yautja artwork. their art style is just gorgeous
next is @ a-z-u-l-g. The amount of shear detail in their rendered artwork is stunning. oh how I strive to get that good lol. its very inspirational. I love their realism and their use of shading.
@ lunaerebus Their artwork looks like it was drawn traditionally and then digitized. it has that same grainy texture that looks like water color
@ crispy-ghee I love their messy but professional art style. though they haven't posted any yautja related things in a while, I still love their work (even if its just art of their favorite basketball players). I also love how they draw short comics.
now i'm gonna get a little biased and include some friends/people I know
@alexstarksblog I love how soft your art style is and your use of colors. the amount of line work you put in some of your pieces is impressive
@pauk-di I love how stylized you draw your yautja. your line work is soft and simple, which I can see it being used for a webcomic or graphic novel. it's very pleasing to the eyes
@shaymin-99 I love how cartoony and silly your yautja are. They either look really cute or done with life. I love how exaggerated the expressions are when you draw them
@cyvorg though they haven't been active online for over a year now, I love their stylized/cartoony art. eyecandy
AND ALL OF MY GOOBERS!
@risen-from-stardust
@predatorsmp
@crowworkz
@bunnyraptor69
@xeno-buggy
they all have amazing and unique art, all worth checking them out, besides just the yautja art (i'm being very biased, lol).

I'm really tempted to start getting into this bible fandom because seeing you talk about this fanfic so much has really drawn me in
my only question is where do I start? I've got a free version online but there's so many chapters to the bible and like where do I start? Like genesis is the start right?
I'm so sorry for all these silly questions, I was raised strongly atheist and I've actually never touched a bible before so I was wondering if you could help guide a newbie to this fandom that you've spent many years in :D
thank you so much!!
Oh! Hmmmm well traditionally people start at Genesis yeah, since it's the creation story, though it isn't a hard rule. A podcast I listened to started at Daniel because it had a narrative to it. You can kind of pick a book out and read it if you want to. While linear, the different books are almost episodic in a way, especially some of the later books. If you want to read more on like AD stuff, you can start on the new testament instead. Note that each book of the gospels, Matthew, mark, Luke, John, are all written for different audiences, so they omit or include different details, which is fun!
I have to mention that there Is a lot of subtle antisemitism in the new testament you have to be aware of, especially with wordings and later rewrites. It's not so much the intent (I can't speak for that I haven't done enough research) but it's the perspective it can give to someone who isn't fully aware I guess. There are better papers/videos disseminating this haha, I don't have the words for it. But a lot of contemporary christian antisemitism Does stem from the new testament and how people took the text and ran with it
Also for versions, I heard HSV is a good version? I use NIV and NSRV but yeee you can scroll through the different versions and see what works for you

I haven't really drawn traditionally in two years and this is the first thing I decide to draw? Tongue man?
(I apologize for bad quality, this camera sucks)
Tumblr media
(backstory for anyone who cares) So if you've followed me on my other social platforms for a long time, you'll know that I used to draw a lot when I started out, up until about two years ago. I had a very bad run-in with another artist while I was trying to share what I considered improvements and they basically bashed me in an off-handed kind of way.
I tried so damn hard not to let them mess up my mindset and keep drawing but it just...destroyed any love and motivation I had for traditional drawing and drawing without a base on pixilart.
Today for some reason I just got the spur to throw my perfectionalism and fears out the window and just drew. I didnt care about anatomy, shading, nothing. It was like some freaking brick eall was moved because this was the most fun I've had traditionally drawing in a very long time, even before that run-in.
To those who read this whole thing, I hope you take two things from this. 1: Don't care ever when some is bashing your art. Thats a they problem, not a you problem, and if you love doing it, do it. 2: Your words and comments matter. If you don't like something an artist did, just move on. There's no need for rudeness.

#inktober number 1 // I feel for you, but when did you believe you were alone? / You say that spiders crawled inside and made themselves a home 🕷️
Can't believe this is my first post back on Tumblr since 2018!
A late start to this year's #inktober2023 challenge, but a start nonetheless! This challenge has always been a favorite of mine, but I haven't had time to join the last few years. The last time I completed a full month of prompts was back in 2018 (what is time!) after Twenty One Pilots released their record Trench and I was so inspired by the lyrics and color scheme of the album era that it became the theme I drew off of for the whole challenge. I created most of my favorite pieces during that time and I loved the lil' community I formed back then :)
It's also been ages since I've picked up a pen and drawn traditionally. My work, both personal and commercial has mostly only lived digitally, so my inking skills are rusty. But I've been missing drawing on paper, so I'm really eager to get back into it! I might not be as strict with the theme this year and instead jump around between different prompt lists or even just create my own— we'll see!
This first one was inspired by @jlauser.art's "phobias" list this year— the first one being #arachnophobia. 🕸️

Another Dream Creature! My brain is really on a roll huh?
I had a dream that involved a creature creator similar to Spore lol.
I remembered making a lot of creatures in the dream, but I sadly was only able to remember one because of how much the design stuck out.
I remember the colors being...
-sky blue
-white
-shiny gold, silver, or copper
What should I name her?
Tumblr media
I'll probably go over it when I get home (I'm at my first job). I haven't drawn traditionally in (I think) a year or two now... So my skill is pretty rusty. Then again, the pencil I bought is a little hard to control for some reason.

finally after over half a year trying to figure it out, i have decided on a fursona species! i've just generally been a squirrel, not really able to choose only one species and coat design with such an amazing range of beautiful and interesting squirrels to pick from. but this baby and their pink snoot has won me over!!
it's official- i'm a grizzled giant squirrel, also known as the national animal of sri lanka 🇱🇰🐿
i'm currently working on my first sketch based off of this squirrel, i haven't drawn digitally or traditionally for almost a decade now so i'm rusty and honestly don't even have a distinctive style anymore.. but i'm still going to do my best! i have saved and studied hundreds of references to help me get started again. i started yesterday with a few hours of taking photos of squirrels (especially the faces and complicated feet/paw pads) and breaking them down into shapes over and over to help me get an idea of how expressions would work on a squirrel's face. the grizzled giant squirrel has a slimmer face, naked snout, shorter ears with fur tufts at the tips, slightly different/bigger body proportions, and a longer, thinner tail compared to the eastern grey, fox, and brown squirrels i've been referencing up until this point. but the shapes making up the face as well as the body are the same, so a few adjustments and what i learned yesterday will still be helpful knowledge with my new squirrelsona species. wish me luck, friends! as soon as i get a sketch i'm somewhat happy with i'll post the wip in the first of hopefully many art posts to come! 💞

MY ARTFIGHT ATTACKS OF THIS YEAR SO FAR!!!! I planned to attack more but...This is the first year I actually like- actively am getting attacked OUTSIDE of my mutuals! Which IS exciting but- at the same time as you can tell...I don't have time to attack people in result omg xD
The first drawing, the character Natsuki, belongs to YoyoyoRiooo on Insta and AF!
The second drawing, the Zora Legzonie, belongs to @meatdog on AF and Tumblr here! (I believe this is their tumblr as the link was scuffed on AF and had to retype it properly and hope this IS their blog LOL) (BTW, this drawing was referenced off weird stock images.)
The graph-paper'd doodles, Calypso, Hazel, Sunflower ALL belong to Luna-Lazuli on DA, TH and AF!!!
I've been revenge-chaining like 4 diff users with no joke, so I got 0 time to think of what to type here otherwise LMFAO
I don't wanna yap too much in this desc, as I'm mega-busy and trying to avenge 4 diff drawings in under 3 days isn't easy for me xD. The 2nd attack here of the zora, was an attack I've drawn tuesday I think, and then wednesday-friday I got 4 ATTACKS AGAIN- SO YEAH I'M AS WE SPEAK SKETCHING THE 4TH REVENGE DRAWING (final one actually for said Yoyoyo person, as it'll be the only characters left, that I haven't drawn of theirs!)
BUT- I can mention, that I loved doing something new again via combining pencils and markers!! I didn't really- like do it “symbiotically” if that makes sense? But yeah, in these drawings the pencils played a much more active role in me pulling off some things with shading or reflections! I got more polychromos, which means, I can combine more and more of the 2 in the future! I can't wait to have more time to draw traditionally though...I might crank back on revenges next year bc I just this year simply had so little time for it
I STILL wish for a 300-Ohuhu set to magically appear in front of my doorstep though some day. A delulu guy can dream! 🥴
BUT YEAH!!! HERE'S PROOF THAT I STILL EXIST!!!! I SHALL SCHEDULE A POST FOR TOMORROW,, WHERE YOU CAN SEE MY 4 REVENGES,,, AND IF I FINISH IN TIME I'LL ADD THE OTHER 4.
YES THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I'M DRAWING 4 REVENGES. THAT MAKES 8 REVENGES. 5 ATTACKS THIS YEAR. I'M TBH PROUD OF MY RATIO THO. I for YEARS wanted to make 10 drawings in the time of AF. BC I'm such a slow artist, this is actually a MASSIVE achievement for me. 😭✨
I HOPE TO PROPERLY CATCH UP ON MY SOCIAL MEDIA SOON THOUGH. I have SO much crap to reply to and SO much to respond to and do in GENERAL with my social medias. I made a Cara acc to get off Insta as an artist officially, so YEAH....Praying things work out and I stay off any social medias planning to use AI algos that feed off posts. We as artists are not safe anymore everywhere unfortunately.. :")
But I'm hopeful, this'll die out in a few years...

Hey! Are you working on any projects at the moment?
Ahh thank you for asking! 🩷
I'm currently trying to teach myself how to use the program Procreate. I've never drawn digitally before really so it's a bit of a learning curve. In some ways it's way easier than drawing traditionally because I can delete and undo mistakes way cleaner but it's a whole different method than I'm used to. I'm also just really out of practice with drawing at all but I miss being creative 💔
I also have a beginner crochet kit I bought that I've been meaning to start for..... 2 years now. I really want to learn how I just haven't been able to actually take that first step, ya know?

PROJECT EVALUATION
Overall I am quite happy with this project, I feel that I have both expanded upon skills I have gained in first year and have explored new techniques within this project. Prior to this course, I haven't so much as touched a 3D modelling software, never mind modelling a character previous to this module. I am very happy that I have produced a model that is both recognisable as human and that can be identified as the same character as the original drawn out design.
I also really enjoyed researching different beliefs and mythology as a way to support my ideas and make sure that the characters which I would go onto create would 'respect' their source material. Each 'story' of each different goddess influenced the design choices for their respective character designs. For example, the use of items which are prevalent when practising a 'ritual' or routine of worship to each goddess is evident on their corresponding character.
I would have, given more time and practice, liked to have done more exploration of the designs of each character to further strengthen them. I would have also liked to 'diversity' the characters further to further explore their cultures and influence, however at the time I made the choice to have each character use the same 'base' body to make sure one isn't favoured over the other during the design process (essentially meaning that I didn't spend more time exploring body shapes on one character and end up neglecting the rest due to time constraints.) However each design choice made has meaning behind it and thought has been made in how each character may work together as a group.
These characters within the parade lack a 'leader', something which is traditionally seen within parade structure, as i feel as if appointing one of the goddesses as a 'leader' would be disrespectful. Appointing a leader would suggest that one goddess is better than the others, and that one is stronger or more powerful than the others. ethically this could be a grey area as that may cause a clash between different belief groups and cultures.

Tumblr media
More art below, Scroll down and skip the text if you like!
I haven't really drawn traditionally in years and I'm not that good at it when you compare them to my digital works, but what I never realized that compared to three years ago my traditional art has improved majorly and I'm actually impressed!
I've always struggled to fill in sketchpads because I always feel like I wasted them because there was always so much left over white space that I didn't use for my still non-dynamic character drawings, so I set out to fill out every single page and its made me so enthusiastic about the entire process!
I haven't drawn much digitally currently as my tablet dies quickly and its rather bulky and I dont have a desk and ect ect ect its becoming rather troublesome to set up. So I've been doodling a lot (when I die on Lethal Company hahaha) Here is all the works I've doodled so far

British, not jewish, not lawyer. Cromwell was a genocidal dictator who set Ireland back centuries and even in England where he's traditionally seen as a hero he's still well known for making sports and singing among other forms of revelry illegal, so I would take anything attributed to him with a grain of salt accoding to wikipedia jewish males were emancipated (in the eyes of the law, socially is another matter of course) back in the 1800s, the story of how it happened is actually quite interesting.
My informal understanding is that due to our country being so old we have many older laws which haven't been officially struck off but are supplanted by newer laws that take legal precident. EG a law from the 1600s stating you had the legal right to murder someone of a specific group is supplanted by a law from the 1800s saying murder is always bad, actually. the rest are laws so obsurd in the modern context that no one would try to enforce them in the first place. ignoring everything else given that we've had at least 5 and up to 8 civil wars in that time I doubt we're enforcing the laws of serveral-times overthrown governents all at once. to provide some other example of legal quirks to hopefully give you a chuckle:
London taxis are by law supposed to have a bale of hay in the trunk because they're still legally (horse drawn) hackney carriages and they had provisions to feed the horses written into law. I have also never known a taxi to carry around a bail of hay. there is also an urban legend about one of our cities, I think it was York, having a law with some really weird set of circumstances that allowed murder, something like if you stood on the roman era walls with a crossbow at midnight on a friday you could legally shoot the first scotsman you see on sight, this has never been used to justify commiting murder within the city.
a town I used to live in supposedly has a law that stated that there must be a person waiting to collect any dead horses dumped in the market square on a wednesday, in the years rthat I lived there I have never heard of anyone dumping a dead horse in Scunthorpe market on a Wednesday
in short any such laws you may encounter that are overruled by more recent laws are worth little more than the bemused chuckel they may provoke at the fact they still exist, no one is enforcing them and anyone who tired to would be laughed out of court by a judge
King Edward passed a law ("Edict of Expulsion") in England expelling all Jews from England.
According to Oliver Cromwell, permission of resettlement was revoked, and the right of Jews in England is only "implied."
Does this mean that the Jewish settlement in England is technically illegal?
I spoke to other English Jews about this and some of them say it’s only implied, meaning that we are still technically expelled.
