Your ex taps you on the shoulder and says, “I still love you.” You say? I feel like I’ve answered a similar situation recently, but I would assume it was a drunk text or wrong text, inform them about it, and move on.
Do you play video games? Nah. I do feel a sort of connection of video games since I grew up surrounded by them, though; but I’m more of a watcher than anything. I like watching playthroughs of video games I’ll never play. Do you spend a lot of time with family? No. We used to, back when the quarantine was still a relatively new thing – we hung out in the living room all the time. But now that we’ve settled in this new normal, we’re back to our normal routines and I usually like staying in my room.
Is your house more than two stories tall? Technically, yes. We have a rooftop that serves as the ‘third’ floor.
Have you ever hit your significant other? Has he/she ever hit you? My ex and I never hit one another; that’s a gigantic red flag even I would notice, considering I ignored most of the ones I saw hahaha.
What makes you an attractive person? (Talk about your personality too!) I’m not sure if I’ll be able to answer this question directly, but I like my generosity. I’m not sure if I can call it attractive, though. But if we were focusing on physical features, I like my smile.
What color is your hairbrush/comb? Pink.
What snacks do you have available in your household atm? My dad splurged on chips in his last grocery run so we actually have quite a lot of junk food in the pantry at the moment. He also bought several packs of cookie sandwiches, wafers, sunflower seeds, and garlic-flavored peanuts.
Has anyone recently told you that they like you, or find you attractive? Neither.
Are you attracted to the last person you Facebook messaged? No, she’s just a good friend of mine.
Do you care about anyone that doesn’t care about you? I guess I don’t, because I’m not even aware of them.
Was your last Facebook friend requests from a male or female? Guy. It was another reporter, so I just ignored it and luckily he didn’t PM me just to ask to add him back, which others have already done. I really hate when work people try to make their way into my personal accounts.
Which one of your relatives is most likely to embarrass you? My parents, especially when they are rude to service crew. Gen X-ers are impeccably talented at that, apparently.
When was the last time you ate a bar of chocolate? Around two or three weeks ago when I had dinner at Angela’s. Her dad gave me a bar of Crunch so I can have something sweet after our meal.
Do you play any games on Facebook? No, I never did hop on that trend.
What would you like to get a degree in? I wanted a degree in journalism, and graduated with such. At the end of my college stint I didn’t want to pursue it anymore, but I pushed through with it anyway because it was too much of a hassle to shift and start all over.
Do you wake up a lot in the middle of the night? Technically not, because I stay up until the middle of the night anyway. It’s been a while since I fell asleep anywhere between 8 to 10 PM.
Would you prefer to read a book, watch a movie or TV show, or play a video game? Watch a show.
Do you usually get popcorn or soda at the movie theater? I don’t like either; I get fries instead.
What genre of films do you like the best? Drama.
How many bank accounts do you have? Two but I haven’t been using the other one in months. That was the bank account I initially opened when I first started ~adulting~ but when I got employed I was required to enroll in this other specific bank, so that’s what I mainly use now.
Have you ever had the flu? Not really. I just get the occasional fever that pop out of nowhere.
What is your goal for the next few months? Start saving FOR REAL, and also prioritizing furniture over merch for a while so I can finally fix up my room, which is quickly starting to look and feel like just a warehouse and not very homey at all.
Have you ever had some kind of sleep-disorder? How did it affect your life? Nope.
Have you ever had food poisoning before? Describe the experience. Yeah, it was from barbecue that apparently went bad, even though it tasted nothing of the sort. I woke up at 3 AM sweating profusely and with the most excruciating stomachache; I was feeling hot, cold, and nauseous all at the same time, and it probably lasted for like an hour or so.
What are two things that you have no problem paying full price for? Sealed albums and my pets’ vet expenses.
Funny, charming, cute, romantic, smart - choose only 2 for the opposite sex. Charming and smart.
Have you ever let somebody use you? Why did you do it? It felt nice to help people.
You can go back in time & change something in your mom’s past - what is it? Good question; I’ve never encountered this before. I would let her live a more comfortable, privileged life, where she didn’t have to staple her shoes to keep them closed or have to choose between eating at a fast food restaurant or being able to commute back home.
Do you know anybody who is around the exact same size as you? Who? I’m not sure, actually. Everyone’s always slightly taller than me.
Ever been to a haunted house? How scared were you? I haven’t.
Been on any websites today you wouldn’t want your parents to see? Tumblr, I guess? My survey blog isn’t for any irls to see.
Which is worse: dusting or mopping? I don’t really do either often, but I’ll go with mopping.
Would you marry somebody who was intensely religious? Not for me.
Did you pull a senior prank? No, that’s not a thing here. Did you graduate? Yeah, elementary, high school, and college.
Have you ever been unfaithful in a serious relationship? Nope.
What was the last song you listened to? It’s a song called Epiphany.
Are you one of those lucky people with 20/20 vision? Not ever since I was like 9 lol.
Is fashion one of your interests? I’m way more interested in it now for sure, mostly because the celebrities I’m into these days put a lot of effort when it comes to their style; so it makes me more aware of the trends that come and go, as well.
Do you think you’ll eventually find that special someone? I’m keeping it as a possibility, but it’s not a priority for me now.
Do you care what people think? To an extent, I would say. My life doesn’t depend on it, though.
Is acting something you enjoy? Never been.
What was the last thing you broke/sprained? Do you mean a thing or a body part? Anyway, I’ll answer both. The last thing I broke was my BTS Mic Drop pen of V looooooooooool the figurine came off the pen :(( It was pretty cheap though so I’m fine with it; I can always get another one. Last body part I sprained was my ankle, when I had a bad fall a couple of years ago.
Have you ever fought with a friend because of their boyfriend/girlfriend? Because of yours? Either hasn’t happened.
Has a stranger ever yelled at you for your language? I don’t think so.
Whose house, other than yours and your families', are you most comfortable at? Angela’s. Also JM’s, just because their family doesn’t hover and that vibe can sometimes be nice whenever I’m at someone else’s place.
Has any of your friends’ family ever yelled at you? Never.
Did you ever play a sport as a little kid? Did you enjoy it? Not as a very young kid, but I took up table tennis starting when I was 12. Did you ever watch the show Full House? Nope.
Is there a celebrity you are just DETERMINED to marry? Now that’s just delusional haha. I’m pretty obsessed with some celebrities, that much I can admit; but thinking of them in the context of marriage is so many steps overboard.
Have you ever burned someone’s picture? No. I could, but I am scared of fire and will probably just think of other ways to express my anger, like tearing up the photograph. What’s the longest hike you’ve ever been on? Total length was probably like 3 hours. I haven’t gone too far when it comes to hiking.
Would you ever get a lip tattoo? Not interested.
Who is the first person of the opposite sex that pops into your head? Hans.
Do your parents smoke cigarettes? My mom tried it once in her life, I think. My dad has never smoked.
What does one of your T-shirts have written on it? “Hope right here!”
Name a pet you definitely wouldn’t want. Anything that’s supposed to roam freely in the wild, like squirrels.
Would you prefer your partner smaller or taller? Taller, since I’m already quite pint-sized to begin with lol.
Do you enjoy going through old pictures? Sometimes. Other times, it's too painful. It also depends on the era of the pictures. < Agree, especially with the eras. Childhood photos are always fun to look at, but I have had to delete a CHUNK of photos from years ranging from 2014 to 2020 because I’ve lost a handful of friends from that period.
Do you believe people when they say they don’t judge people? It’s hard to for the most part, but I’ve noticed very few people people really don’t. Most of the time it’s bullshit though.
What did you love the most about the town you grew up in? That it’s pretty close to the metro.
What’s a movie that you laughed the hardest during? Hmm, I prefer TV shows if I’m craving comedy.
What’s a movie you cried the hardest during? Life Is Beautiful.
What’s your favorite restaurant? Omakase for my sushi fix; School Tteokbokki if I want Korean; Yabu if I’m looking for a generous rice meal.
Is there a dessert you don’t like? Anything with fruits.
Favorite album? After Laughter by Paramore.
What’s a book that you read because everyone else was reading it? I can name authors instead of books – John Green and Haruki Murakami.
Underwater or outer space? Outer space.
Dogs or cats? Dogs.
Kittens or puppies? Puppies.
Bird watching or whale watching? Whale watching. I don’t get to be in the water as much, so I would jump at the opportunity.
What is your spirit animal? I dunno if I have one but let’s just go with dog and elephant, I guess? They’re my favorites.
What was your best subject in school? History.
What was your worst subject in school? Chemistry.
What is one thing you wish you knew in high school? Don’t waste your time.
Who is your fashion icon? Audrey Hepburn.
Diamonds or pearls? Diamonds.
What color dress did you wear to prom? For my own prom it was cream-colored/beige. When I went to Mike’s ball, I went with a royal blue gown.
What’s your favorite plot-twist? I don’t think I’ve found my favorite yet.
Honestly, are you jealous of someone right now? Not actively.
Honestly, what’s the worst thing you’ve done when you were mad? I dunno...road rage, maybe?
Honestly, ever made anyone cry when you were mad? It’s very likely.
Honestly, when was the last time you REALLY cried your heart out? Sometime in the last week.
Ever pop someone else’s pimple? No thanks.
Do you need to return anyone’s phone call? Nope.
Who are you closest to? Angela.
Have you ever had a bad concert experience? No, all the ones I’ve been to have been amazing experiences.
Are you currently sad about anything? Not really. I can’t complain.
Have you had any form of exercise today? Nah.
Can you handle blood? Nope, I will feel faint if I see it 100%.
Has any place hired you underage for a job? No.
Have you ever carried a concealed weapon? I haven’t.
Are you currently searching for a job? No, I like the one I have.
Does eating breakfast make you sick? No?

[CN] 100 Days - Shaw (Day 51 - 100)
🍒 Warning: This post contains detailed spoilers for e-mails which have not been released in English servers! 🍒
What’s the 100 Days Companionship Event?
Day 1 - 3: here
Day 4 - 30: here
Day 31 - 50: here
Day 51
Learnt a new card magic trick and will leave you wide-eyed today. You coming?
Day 52
Instead of thinking about raising koi to change your fortune, why not buy a can of cola. As compared to nothing, at least my mood will be good.
Day 53
I have two tickets for an e-sports competition. It’s at 8pm. We’ll meet at the entrance of your place.
Day 54
The competition yesterday was pretty bad. I may as well have participated myself. Let’s not go for today’s competition. We’ll level up at home.
Day 55
Sign in. Come to think of it, you’re pretty amazing - you can come up with so many topics to talk about every day.
Day 56
I heard that you have plans to try jigsaw puzzles. I’ve sent you one with 30,000 pieces - it’s completely white. No need to thank me, and I wish you an early completion.
Day 57
The professor keeps complaining that his snacks go missing. Placing the snacks in a laboratory where people walk to and fro - he deserves it. Don’t you agree?
Day 58
I found the snacks thief - it’s a big fat crow. Whoa, it’s awfully sly.
Day 59
Jensen has been working hard on practising his rap. Today, I even heard a flow in his snoring, and recorded it. Want to hear?
Day 60
It’s the day of Frost’s Descent. Of course you have to eat marbled beef with me.
[Trivia] 霜降 (“shuang jiang”) translates to “Frost’s Descent”, which refers to the last solar term of autumn. Shaw’s use of “marbled beef” is a play on words because in Chinese, “marbled beef” is “霜降肥牛”!
Day 61
Even three-year-old children know that they have to wear more clothes when it’s cold. Looks like you’re only one-year-old.
Day 62
There’s a small stall on Westmoon Street selling Double Ninth cake. It’s tastier than those in other places. Come out quickly, I’ll take you to taste the delicacy.
Day 63
Head to the hotpot shop first. The Old Man wants me to meet some of his old colleagues. How troublesome. Remember to order a plate of tripe for me.
Day 64
You want to compete to see who can replicate the most number of animal sounds tomorrow? You’ll definitely lose.
Day 65
Fine, I lost… But why do you know how to imitate the sound of a hippopotamus?!
Day 66
Are you really angry today? In that case, if I wear a pompom hat next time, I’ll let you tie a knot too.
Day 67
That song you shared with me before - its orchestral arrangement is still passable, but its effects will be ten times better with the bass. I’ll record a section for you later.
Day 68 (Halloween)
Title: Costumes
This is what you called an incredibly amazing costume? Wait at home. I’ll show you what’s truly “incredibly amazing”.
Day 69
A performance without an audience is pretty fun too. It’d have been even better if someone were around to record it. I think you’re pretty suited for it.
Day 70
Today’s challenge: To sneak away under the eyes of the professor.
Day 71
I signed in late today, but you can’t blame me for oversleeping. It’s all because the sun didn’t appear and head to work today.
Day 72
Unlocked a new breakfast combo. Even though I don’t see a need for it, I can recommend it to you.
Day 73
There’s a bad ending to that drama you haven’t finished watching, so I’m giving you a heads-up. I wasn’t wrong when I said fairy tales weren’t believable, was I?
Day 74
Feels like you’ve been busy for several days. Want to sneak out to relax for a while?
Day 75
Realised that my phone battery is running low, and can’t slack off and send you messages anymore. How unlucky.
Day 76
I’ve been busy preparing for exams recently, but you can still send me messages at night as usual. At most, I’ll reply you the next day
Day 77
There’s a sports meet in school next week, and I’ve been dragged in to fill the numbers. Come watch if you have time.
Day 78
Let’s compete in a round of “flash sale” tonight. The loser will buy whatever’s in the other person’s shopping cart.
[Note] Shaw is talking about 秒杀 (“miao sha”), which directly translates to “seconds kill”. It’s a term used in online shopping where once popular items are placed on the Internet, dozens of them are immediately snatched up, sometimes in a single second.
Day 79 (Single’s Day)
The rain in November is pretty cold. I’ve decided to shower and sleep early today, so don’t disturb me after 12am.
Day 80
I can brush off how you added ginger ale to Cola the last time. But this time, what do you think you’re doing by adding indigo woad root?
[Note] Indigo woad root, also known as the root of Isatis tinctoria (板蓝根 - “ban lan gen”)is a traditional Chinese herb used for flu relief
Day 81
Horror techniques like inserting a jump scare in a comedic clip is too elementary. Next time, please come up with something new.
Day 82
Are you awake? Head out once you’ve signed in, or what I taught you about the skateboard will be completely forgotten.
Day 83
The graffiti wall I brought you to the last time has been torn down. I found a new unfinished building, and you can practice here.
Day 84
No one can be certain of the future. I can’t be bothered to think about it either. As long as you run in the direction you want to go, it’s enough.
Day 85
This semester’s elective course is almost over. There are some assignments I haven’t finished. If there’s anything, come to the library to find me.
Day 86
I don’t feel like writing anymore, and am prepared to head out for a stroll tomorrow. Give me two recommended locations from your collection of reviews.
Day 87
One principle applies to both ice-skating and skateboarding - you won’t learn it if you don’t fall a few times. In the worst case, I’ll catch you when you fall.
Day 88
Watched as someone failed to stick a straw in after three tries, and didn’t allow me to laugh out loud.
Day 89
That hook you hummed today was a little familiar. Did you watch the live performance of that very popular underground band recently?
Day 90
Call me along the next time you go to a Live. Relax, I’m on pretty good terms with the bassist from that band. I’m not going there for a surprise brawl.
Day 91
The Old Man’s a little sick, so I’m bringing him medicine. Since it’s along the way, I’ll bring the umbrella you left at my place to you.
Day 92
Didn’t expect you to grasp the move I taught you today so quickly. I’ll award you with a can of Cola.
Day 93
The punishment for today’s game are biscuits filled with mustard, and the person who loses will eat them. Do you have the guts?
Day 94
Have I been infected with your bad luck recently? Even the things I get in blind boxes are duplicates.
Day 95
Not just old antique shops - I can also find all the old game shops, old phonograph shops, and old appliances shops in Loveland City.
Day 96
Adam forgot to take the pot away the last time he had instant-boiled mutton hot pot in Live House. We could use it again today.
Day 97
Instead of believing in some “Mercury Retrograde”, why not come along with me to pray to Emperor Yang Gu, so he’ll save you from calamities.
Day 98
It’s become a habit to chat with you every day. If there are such challenges in the future, look for me too. Got it?
Day 99
It’s the second last day, and we’ll soon see the outcome of who has won this round. Are you sure you’ve been signing in every day?
Day 100
If there any other bets or challenges next time, I’m always ready and waiting.

since the family are so protective over the non alpha sisters, can we have something about sae being sick with the stomach flu and her parents and sisters babying her? her sisters even convince their parents to let them call daehyung to come over to cuddle her and help her feel better. mitzu only agree because they can see that their baby girl is really miserable :(( (I imagine them to be 16 here btw)
sorry this took so long i fell asleep 🥺
“sae can i borrow your hairbrush? someone took mine and i’m not going to say who but i think we both know- huh what’s wrong?” saya asked as she burst into her sister’s bedroom.
“nothing.” sae let out a short cough, she was curled up in a little ball on her bed, which for her was unusual.
“do you feel okay?” saya asked as she went into her sisters bathroom to grab her hairbrush.
“fucking wonderful.” sae groaned. “not like i’m about to throw up at all.”
“i’ll go get ka-san.” saya went up to sae and felt her forehead. “yup you have a fever. just wanted to make sure you weren’t pregnant.”
“saya my period ended two days ago and wait i haven’t even had sex yet!”
“i know stupid i’m teasing.” saya nodded. “if you were pregnant you would have already vomited all over me.”
“and how do you know that?” sae asked, narrowing her eyes.
“mom almost threw up on me when she was pregnant. i may have been a child but i will never forget it.” saya sighed at the memory. “anyways ka-san. be right back.”
sae didn’t uncurl from her ball as her sister left. she felt like shit still. she hadn’t felt great last night but to wake up to this horrible feeling in her stomach and terrible headache? she was miserable.
“hi sae.” mina whispered as she came in
“hi ka-san.” sae smiled at mina. mina may be protective, but her and sae have always been close. mina walked over to her and put a thermometer in her mouth, stroking her hair to calm her.
“how do you feel?”
“like i’m going to throw up.” sae answered.
“i’m sorry. i think you have a stomach flu or something.” sae had never done well with stomach aches. even as a little baby they always made her super upset and uncomfortable. saki on the other hand hated throw up. she hadn’t thrown up since she was eight years old and had a stomach bug from elementary school. even if saki had tried she had never been able to throw up in eight years. saya was the only normal one of the three.
“great.” sae sighed.
“i’ll put a bucket besides your bed in case you throw up. do you need me to take a day off work?” mina asked.
“mom will be home all day. she can take care of sae.” saya shrugged, having followed mina. “but sae do you need anything? water? food?”
“no food.” sae groaned.
“you need some water though baby.” mina continued to stoke sae’s hair. “i don’t want to have to admit you for dehydration, i’ve done it to your sister before.”
“i know i’ll drink water.” sae did not want to be her ka-san’s patient. when her little sister had been admitted to their ka-san’a hospital for high fever and dehydration mina had gone absolutely over the top. sae didn’t want that, she had a group presentation in class on friday she needed to attend.
“okay. if your okay with just your mom look after you thats okay with me.” mina nodded. “but if you need me do not hesitate to call. i’ll get you anything you need.”
“thank you ka-san.” sae nodded. “what i need right now is some sleep.”
“of course, sleep as much as you need.” mina smiled and kissed sae’s forehead. “see you tonight.”
“yup bye ka-san.” sae nodded pulling her comforter over her some more.
“you sure you don’t need anything?” saya asked.
“i’m sure.” sae nodded. “if you bring me water just leave it by my bed i’ll drink it later.”
“okay, i’ll get your homework too.”
“thanks saya.”
xx
when sae woke up she was surrounded by warmth. she was confused when she looked at her alarm clock and saw it was almost five pm. she was surprised she slept that long. she felt so sick still. she couldn’t hold it back anymore and ran to her bathroom to throw up, alerting the reason her bed was so warm.
“sae honey?” sana asked. “oh right.” sana heard sae throwing up and went to comfort her. “your period is on time right?”
“yes! why do people keep assuming i’m pregnant because i have a stomach bug?!” sae whined once she was done throwing up.
“sorry baby. we just want to make sure.” sana comforted sae, rubbing her back as she dry heaved a bit. “let’s go drink some water okay?”
“okay.” sae sighed and let sana lead her back to her room. she felt a bit better after throwing up but she still felt like shit. sana helped her to her bed and handed her some water, sae drinking it slowly. “we’re you napping with me?”
“i got tired and decided to take a nap with you.” sana explained. “you used to love it when you were younger.”
“i’m not complaining mom. thank you.” sae smiled. “your very warm.”
“i know i’m a great nap buddy.” sana nodded. “you can admit it.”
“you are mom.” sana looked at her daughters face. sae was so grown up. at least saya and saki still has moments where they needed parental intervention, but sae was already mature enough to be in college at 16. sana knew that was a part of the process but it didn’t make it any easier for her heart. sana couldn’t help but lean forward and give sae on kiss on the cheek.
“i love you sae.”
“i love you too, mommy.”
xx
“sae i brought your homework!” saki burst into her room much like saya did that morning. sae had tried to teach them about knocking but it hadn’t stuck.
“thanks saki.” sae offered her sister and thankful smile and saki came to sit next to her on the bed.
“do you need cuddles to feel better? i know they helped you when you were younger.”
“not from you i don’t.” saki pouted and handed over her sisters homework.
“do you need anything else? water? kisses?”
“just water is fine.” sae nodded.
“okay.” saki grabbed sae’s cup and left the room, meeting day in the hallway. “yeah she needs daehyung.” saki informed saya.
“you ask mom mama and ka-san, i’ll call him. if they say no we can sneak him in through the balcony.” saya explained.
“right.” sae nodded. she went to where her parents were downstairs and put on her best puppy dog face. “can daehyung please come over to give sae cuddles? it will make her feel better.”
“absolutely not.” mina nodded.
“but-but there’s no way he will take advantage of her right now. all he really wants to do is cuddle. we all want to cuddle her but you know she won’t accept it.” saki pouted. “please?”
“mina just let him come over.” sana sighed. “he’s just going to cuddle her.”
“sae’s door has to stay open.” tzuyu spoke up. “no closed doors.”
“got it!” saki giggled. “thank you mama!” saki ran forward and gave tzuyu a kiss on the cheek.
“what? i can’t resist her pout.” tzuyu told the two gazes staring at her.
“fine. as long as the doors open i guess i’m okay with it.” mina sighed, sana giving her a short kiss in response.
“that’s the sprit baby.” sana giggled. “now why don’t we all make her favorite most perfect meal for our sick baby girl?”

smoking is bad for you, you know
Dad!Reigen Week 2019 Day 3: Sports || Lessons
AO3 Description: Ritsu, eventually, learns to trust Reigen. (4.7k words)
Ritsu trusts his instincts.
It’s only been quite recently since he learned what instincts even are, but he knows himself and he knows he’s usually right. So, when Shigeo introduces him to his new master, Ritsu knows what to think about this man based on how he first feels.
“Hi, Ritsu,” Reigen smiles. He crouches down to be on eye level with him. “Shigeo didn’t tell me he had a brother.”
Ritsu doesn’t like Reigen.
“Ritsu’s in the grade below me,” Shigeo tells Reigen. “He’s ten and really cool.”
“Oh, awesome,” Reigen says. He turns to Ritsu. “Do you have psychic powers like your brother?”
“Ritsu doesn’t have psychic powers,” Shigeo says.
There’s something bristling within Ritsu when Shigeo says that, but he can’t tell what. He would have been happy to tell Reigen that himself.
“Oh, that’s a shame,” Reigen says.
Ritsu really doesn’t like Reigen.
“You’re a psychic?” Ritsu asks.
Reigen nods, the movement natural.
Ritsu looks away.
“Master’s the greatest psychic,” Shigeo tells Ritsu. “The greatest ever.”
“Of the twenty first century,” Reigen corrects, and stands up. “I’m the greatest psychic of the twenty first century.”
Ritsu really doesn’t like Reigen.
Nobody talks for a few seconds, and Ritsu is okay with that. Shigeo’s busy looking at Reigen in awe, and Ritsu is busy mentally cursing out the inherent injustice that comes with being alive.
Why should this guy get psychic powers, when Ritsu’s been trying his whole life, and gets none? What makes him so special? Is he an older brother too? Maybe younger siblings just don’t get them. And what makes him so great, anyway?
The more he questions Reigen the more he doesn’t like him. Ritsu doesn’t know what it is — Reigen’s too tall, Shigeo likes him too much, and he kind of smells a bit, too. It’s a little…familiar? But Ritsu can’t place it — and his face falls into a scowl as Reigen looks down at them. It’s his instincts, he reminds himself, he doesn’t need to have a reason. He just doesn’t like Reigen.
Still, no one has said anything since Reigen has proclaimed his greatness — there’s no way he’s actually the greatest psychic of the twenty first century, anyway, if anything, Ritsu thinks his brother should hold that title — and he doesn’t see the point in being here any longer if nothing else is going to happen. He doesn’t want Shigeo to think that he’s getting bored or anything, though, so he just glares up at Reigen instead, hoping to leave the strange man as soon as possible.
Reigen looks between the two of them.
“Has anyone ever told you guys that you look the same?”
Ritsu’s heard it before — from teachers, strangers, friends at school. It wasn’t even all that uncommon when people mistook him and his brother for twins. They both nod.
Reigen lets out a small laugh. “You two must get along well, huh?”
Ritsu nods.
Later, when they’re at home and Ritsu has all but forgotten about his meeting with Reigen, Shigeo tentatively asks him what he thinks of his master.
Ritsu looks at Shigeo. He can’t tell what he’s thinking, or what he wants Ritsu to say.
“I think he’s cool,” he lies.
—-—-—
Ritsu doesn’t see Shigeo all that much anymore.
He often walks to school alone, which, granted, is because of his own decision to join the student council, so that one’s on him. But even then, before he entered middle school, afternoons at home were a little quiet and dragging without his brother around, and they still pretty much are — the house is just him and his parents. It doesn’t feel empty, per se, but Shigeo’s absence from the house is far too noticeable.
Ritsu’s more than used to it by now. Now, afternoons where Shigeo comes straight home from school can leave the house a little crowded; Ritsu thinks of it as a chance to get closer to his brother from all the days they’ve missed. The few off days where, walking home, Ritsu and his brother take up twice as much space on the sidewalk, he thinks of as quality bonding time.
But still, for the trailing end of elementary school, and now as he begins planting his roots in middle school, Shigeo is becoming less and less of a constant in his life.
“I miss you,” he tells his brother, suddenly one day, not sure where it comes from. “I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages.”
“Oh,” is all that Shigeo dignifies it with at first. Then, a pause, a consideration, then: “Sorry, I didn’t notice.”
“It’s okay,” Ritsu finds himself saying.
“I’m always at Master’s,” Shigeo explains, even though they both already know it. “You don’t really like him, do you?”
Ritsu blinks for a second, not sure where this is coming from. Sure, he wouldn’t mind blaming Reigen for the slow drifting apart of him and his brother, but it’s a little weird to him that Shigeo is basically offering him that on a plate. He chooses his words carefully.
“I don’t think our personalities mesh well.”
Shigeo nods, satisfied.
And for all Ritsu knows, that could really be it. He never really dedicates much time to thinking about Reigen, or thinking about how much he doesn’t like Reigen — deciding from the get-go to avoid him was really enough. But Ritsu likes to think of himself as somewhat dignified and respectful. Incompatible personalities is a bit of a lame excuse to justify not getting along with somebody — he’s more mature than that.
Ritsu suspects it’s something to do with the fact that Reigen reeks of being inauthentic. Not necessarily in his personality — for all that Ritsu is concerned, Reigen is damn near an open book when it comes to that — but Ritsu has not once believed that this man is in possession of psychic powers. He can’t sense it, he doesn’t have any powers of his own, but he’s lived with Shigeo his whole life. He knows what espers are like. And besides that, Ritsu knows what it’s like to live a whole life without psychic powers, and he can see that in Reigen. He relies on his brother just a little too much.
Ritsu hasn’t discussed any of these thoughts with Shigeo, mostly because he has no idea how to bring it up. He knows, also, just how much Shigeo likes Reigen, how important a place he holds in his brother’s mind, and he knows better than to go about calling the man Shigeo trusts most untrustworthy. There’d be hell to pay.
As worried as he is about Shigeo’s reaction, though, somewhere in the back of his mind Ritsu wonders if it would be better to tell his brother upfront that Reigen doesn’t have psychic powers. It would be better than letting it play out and reaching a point that could have been avoided if Shigeo knew, right? Reigen can’t protect Shigeo if something goes wrong, and Reigen can’t protect himself if something goes seriously wrong, and that’s the last thing Ritsu wants, right?
He doesn’t want either of them to get hurt, right?
Right?
Right, yes, of course he doesn’t want either of them to get hurt — it’s not something to dwell on, how obvious it is. There’s no way in hell he’d want either of them to be anything other than healthy and sound in mind and body; as much as Ritsu would prefer to avoid Reigen, he’s still a decent person who doesn’t want to see him get hurt. And Shigeo is his brother. Of course Ritsu cares about him.
And despite that, Ritsu still hesitates to tell him. He doesn’t think too much about why.
The conversation between the two reaches a natural resting point, and they’re both comfortable in the silence. Faintly, from their dad’s room, the smell of cigarette smoke gently wafts between them.
Shigeo scrunches his nose up. They never really talk about their dad’s smoking habits — the most mention it gains is a quick, understanding look between the two brothers. So Ritsu isn’t sure what overtakes him now.
“I wish he’d quit.”
Shigeo nods in understanding. It’s something they both feel, but have refrained from saying out loud before. Ritsu is noticing that — most of their conversations go unsaid. He supposes it can’t be helped, with their opposing schedules and all.
“We should tell him to quit,” Ritsu suggests when Shigeo doesn’t continue the conversation. “He’ll listen to us, right?”
Shigeo considers it for a second. “It’s Dad," is all he says. Ritsu understands.
“Well, we can ask Mum and she can tell him to quit.” Shigeo still doesn’t look sure. “They have to start listening to us eventually, right? We’re not kids anymore; we should have a say in family matters.”
Shigeo cocks his head to one side. “You only just graduated elementary school.”
“Exactly. We’re growing up.”
Shigeo hesitates for a second. “Well…if you want to ask Mum then you do it. She won’t like it if I’m the one who asks her.”
Ritsu nods. “Fine. I’ll ask her.” He hesitates. “I’ll…do it later, though.”
“…Okay.”
—-—-—
Ritsu needs to learn to stand up to his brother. He ponders this frankly terrifying concept for not the first time in his life as he stands, arms crossed over his chest, at the front desk of the Spirits and Such Consultation Office. Shigeo’s been out sick with the flu all week. Reigen needs someone to do some actual work around here.
“Stop glaring at me like that,” Reigen tells him.
“I’m not glaring at you.” He wouldn’t be in this situation if he’d just told Shigeo how much he really, really does not like Reigen. And yet, here he is. Here they are.
Reigen exhales through his nose. “Is it gonna be like this the whole time?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Okay.” Reigen stands up from his seat and starts walking over to Ritsu’s side of the desk.
Before he can say anything, Ritsu speaks up. “I mean, come on. This isn’t going to be fun for either of us. We both know you would have much preferred it if my brother had gotten Hanazawa or someone to fill in.”
Reigen stops in his tracks. “When did I ever say that? Do you think I don’t like you?”
Ritsu doesn’t have much of an answer, aside from a non-committal shrug.
Reigen blinks for a second, as if shocked. “Well, I do. You’re a good kid.” He walks past Ritsu, grabbing something from a bookcase. “You’re a fine replacement for your brother.”
Ritsu’s heart drops, and he feels his jaw clench impossibly tight. He’s pretty sure he stops breathing for a few seconds, and his nails are digging into his skin. He stands, a statue in the office, and it’s only when he hears Reigen continue to mill about that the tension in his body drops. He takes a few breaths.
“Do you know what I think is funny?” he asks Reigen, turning to him.
Reigen’s got some kind of folder full of paperwork in his hands, and an expression like he’s not used to this much amount of talking. He doesn’t particularly look like he wants Ritsu to continue, either.
“If my brother thinks that you have psychic powers,” he continues anyway, “then he should have no reason to get me to fill in for him.”
Reigen is still looking at Ritsu unimpressed, but he hesitates slightly in his movements.
“Do you think he trusts you?”
Reigen doesn’t say anything, doesn’t move for some moments. It’s a stalemate of sorts.
Just when Ritsu is about to break into a really quite polite smile, Reigen drops the folder into his hands. Ritsu startles slightly, trying not to drop it.
“Of course Mob trusts me.”
Reigen doesn’t expand upon that any further before he walks back around to take his seat at the desk. Ritsu is busy looking at the paperwork that Reigen oh so kindly handed over, not even really taking it in as he flicks through the pages. He looks to Reigen for an explanation.
“You know the work Mob does here isn’t limited to his psychic powers, right?” He’s pulled out his laptop, giving it more focus than he is to Ritsu. “I give him work experience. He learns how to deal with customers. Hell, he may have even picked up a thing or two about how to successfully run a business.”
Did you teach him about self-aggrandising, too? Ritsu thinks.
“Get to work on sorting those. When you’re done, I’ll give you something else to do.”
Ritsu can’t help but think that Reigen just wants him to sit down and shut up. Gingerly, he takes a seat at the side desk of the office, watching Reigen do his ‘work’ from the side of his eye.
He doesn’t tell Reigen when he’s done with the menial task, instead opting to think on how he should go about organising his pay for today. He supposes putting up with Reigen won’t be all that bad if he gets some compensation. He sits there for a minute or two, not really bothering to hide the fact that he’s doing nothing, and before long he realises that the clicking of Reigen’s keyboard has quieted some time ago.
He waits for Reigen to speak up.
“So… Are you and your brother close?”
Ritsu sighs.
“Hey!” Reigen exclaims. “I’m trying to make conversation, here!”
Ritsu turns to look at him. He looks more frantic than anything. “Do you…” He trails off, trying to look past Reigen’s weirdness. “Do you really care?”
That sets him off. “I don’t know what makes you think that I don’t!” He throws his hands down on either side of his laptop. “Did I do something? Did I say something wrong that I don’t remember?”
“You’re asking me why I don’t…” Ritsu trails off again, for whatever reason unable to say out loud that he doesn’t like Reigen. “You really want to know?” He scoffs. “Well, for one, you’re not exactly the best influence on my brother.”
Reigen blinks, processing the information. “Oh, right,” he says. “This is about your brother.”
“Don’t talk to me about my brother.”
“…You brought him up, though…”
The conversation sort of stutters and skids to a halt. Ritsu knows that he’s not being the most tolerable person right now, and that Reigen doesn’t entirely deserve this out of nowhere — but if he wants an explanation, he’s going to get one.
“It’s not just about my brother,” Ritsu says. “You’re also just…really shady.”
Reigen doesn’t seem fazed. That seems to be enough evidence to Ritsu — if Reigen doesn’t bat an eye at being called shady, then he’s been called it enough times over the years by enough different people that it must hold some ground. And in all that time, did he never once work to combat it? Did he never put in effort to not give off the worst vibes he could when he meets someone? There must be something inherent to them, Ritsu reasons. Reigen is a fundamentally shady person, and he’s right not to trust him.
Slowly, Reigen’s expression shifts to expectant, and Ritsu realises he hasn’t offered much more than that one statement. The seconds tick by, and as Reigen and Ritsu stare silently at each other, he finds his brain scrambling for what next to say, frantic to build his impromptu case against Reigen.
Except, wait, shouldn’t he know what he doesn’t like about him? He’s been avoiding him all these years; he should know the reason behind it.
And then, a revelation; Ritsu works to keep the epiphany internal, to not show his mind on his face as he realises it. He avoids Reigen at every chance he can get, so much so that he hasn’t even put thought into what he doesn’t like about him — he knows there’s something, obviously, and the actual fact of not knowing the reason behind his avoidance isn’t really his most pressing issue right now — it’s the fact that he’s backed himself into a corner where he has to admit that.
“Nothing you do seems genuine,” he says quickly, hoping Reigen won’t pick up on the non-explanation.
Reigen still looks expectant.
Ritsu clicks his tongue. “I don’t know,” he hesitates, again, searching for what to say, “you clearly don’t have psychic powers. I don’t know how you did what you did at the Claw base, but… Well, if you do have psychic powers, then you’re using them wrong.”
Reigen leans back in his chair, crossing his arms.
Ritsu could get into some serious trouble for this, but he continues regardless. “You’re always so flippant about everything, like exorcising spirits is just some fun side-gig to you, and…” He doesn’t know why he’s still talking. He looks around the office. There are some tacky figures dotted about, questionable books on the shelves, the (frankly) shoddy paperwork in front of him, an ashtray across the room from him. It’s good enough for him. “This place is hardly a professional business, you smoke, your handwriting could be better…”
Ritsu blinks, suddenly aware of his words. It’s all kind of nonsense at this point. “Oh. I’m sorry.” Reigen still looks unaffected, both by the words and the apology. It’s just a matter of formality, anyway. “That was pretty rude of me to say, huh?” he continues regardless.
Reigen shrugs. “I asked for it.”
That isn’t necessarily the response that Ritsu wants, but he’s not sure anything Reigen could have said would have satisfied him.
Reigen throws his head back over his chair, apparently taking in what Ritsu said. After a moment or two has passed, he locks eyes with Ritsu again.
“I don’t smoke.”
“What?” Ritsu furrows his brow. “Yes, you do.”
Reigen shakes his head. “Nope.”
Faintly, from somewhere in the back of Ritsu’s head, a memory from a while ago — it would be about three years, now — wafts through his mind. “Yes, you do,” he repeats. “I remember — the first time I met you. Pretty much the only thing I actually remember from meeting you. You reeked of cigarettes.”
Reigen doesn’t respond for a second. Then, “That’s the only thing you remember from meeting me? It wasn’t that long ago, was it?”
“I try not to remember our meetings.”
“…Okay… It must have been a really bad first impression, then.”
“Something like that.”
“Well, anyway, I quit. A couple of years ago, I think.”
Ritsu points to the ashtray on the other side of the room. “What’s that, then?”
Reigen follows his gesture. “That’s for customers. Sometimes they smoke in here, I only smoke at home.”
Ritsu scoffs. “So, in other words, you didn’t quit. You do smoke.”
“Ah, well—” Reigen fumbles for a bit, and Ritsu is interested to see how he pulls himself out of this one. “I don’t smoke here. That’s what I meant when I said I quit.”
“…Uh-huh.”
“Look, I—!” He stutters. “I don’t smoke around Mob, that’s something, right? He asked me not to, so I don’t. I’ve hardly smoked since then, so it’s basically quitting.”
Ritsu’s positive that that’s not how it works, but his mind is a little preoccupied at the moment. “Wait, what? My brother asked you to quit?”
“Yeah, when he was younger. I mean, I get it, it must have been annoying to be around.” Ritsu bites back a remark about how it’s not the only annoying thing about him. “And besides, I’d been meaning to quit anyway. I guess that was just the push I needed.” Reigen looks at Ritsu. “What, is there something wrong with that?”
“What? Oh, no. It’s just…” Something overtakes him for a second — it’s not confusion exactly, but it’s something akin to it. “Well, our dad smokes.”
Reigen cocks his head to the side, not replying but waiting for Ritsu to continue.
And for some reason, he does. “Neither of us have really talked to him about it.”
Reigen nods. “Ah, yeah. Both of my parents smoked. Still do, actually. I just picked up the habit.” He leans forward, resting his arms on his desk. “Don’t smoke, Ritsu.”
“Yeah, I know not to smoke.” He sighs, picking back up on his train of thought. “I don’t know, I guess it’s kind of weird to me that my brother would actually speak up to you about it.”
“It is?”
The words are practically flowing out of him at this point, a steady waterfall of vented frustrations. “I mean, our dad’s smoked our whole lives; I thought he— I mean, I guess we just accepted it.”
Reigen leans back on his chair again, bringing his hands together behind his head. He takes a long, slow breath. “Mob’s been changing a lot recently, underneath all our noses.”
“Oh.” Ritsu looks down.
The room’s changed. He doesn’t feel closer or further away from Reigen, but the distance between them is different, somehow. Like one of them’s floated higher and the other’s drifted downwards, or they’ve each changed colours and the lighting of the scene’s all off. He feels further away from himself.
“What are we talking about?” he asks.
“Um, smoking?”
“No, I mean… Why am I saying this to you?”
“What do you mean?”
Now, what is the best method for telling someone ‘I don’t like talking to you and the fact that I’ve talked to you as much as I already have talked to you makes me like you even less’ without saying those exact words? Ritsu suffices with rolling his eyes.
“Reigen, you know what I mean. I…” He’s not sure what overcame him during the course of this conversation that convinced him it would be a good idea to open up to Reigen — like, seriously, Reigen? Reigen? Really? Opening up to him? — but whatever the reason, he’s there now. And he can’t exactly back out without awkwardly cutting the conversation off. “Look, I don’t talk about this stuff to anyone. I haven’t even talked to my brother about this. I shouldn’t be talking about this to you.”
“I think that means that you’re warming up to me, Ritsu. Have you finally learnt to trust me?”
Ritsu actually recoils at the thought. “Uh, no.” Reigen looks almost exasperated, leaning forward in his chair.
Ritsu looks away from him. None of this makes any sense. He doesn’t feel confused, but something close to it, he’s not uncomfortable, but it’s almost there. He should have told Shigeo that he didn’t want to come.
“Oh, wait,” he speaks up after a moment or two of silence, “I know what’s happening now.” He looks back at Reigen.
“You do?”
“Oh, my god,” he whispers under his breath. It all makes sense now. Why the room feels different, why he had a heel-turn change of heart, why he can’t make sense of his own thoughts — it’s all coming together. He brings his hands to his temples, protecting either side of his head. “Do you have telepathy!?”
“What? No!” Ritsu continues to cover his temples, convinced at this turn of situation. Reigen rolls his eyes. “I’m not telepathic, Ritsu. I have no idea what you’re thinking. I didn’t make you open up to me, that was something you decided on your own.” Ritsu still isn’t relenting. Reigen sighs. “You know that’s okay, right? It’s okay to talk to me differently than you’re used to. And that…you talked to me about this before your brother. Things like that happen sometimes.”
Ritsu slowly lowers his hands, crossing his arms. He takes a sharp inhale. “Okay, dude. I get it. You’re cool, or whatever, and…I’ll try not to avoid you anymore. I won’t insult you, either, okay? Let’s just work the rest of this day—”
“No, Ritsu, look,” Reigen cuts him off. He breathes deeply. “In all seriousness, I know you don’t like me. I know I’m not your favourite person in the world. And when it comes down to it, that’s perfectly fine; who you do and don’t like is entirely your business, and more often than not, it’s something that can’t really be helped.
"But you’re gonna learn this one day — or, hell, why not learn it right now? No time like the present, right? — it’s a fact of life that you might not like someone, but you still have to work to get along. And sometimes, it’s not even that bad. Sometimes, you realise you were wrong about them. That happens more than I’d like, actually.
“And sometimes, I know it’s humiliating, trust me, but people you don’t like will have opinions that make sense, or good points that will change you, and you pretty much just have to learn how to navigate people. And how you fit in between them.”
Ritsu hates to admit it, but Reigen’s actually making sense. Maybe it’s a little over-generalised, or a little far out of Ritsu’s scope of caring, but he doesn’t get the urge to completely tune out Reigen’s voice.
“And, also,” Reigen continues, and Ritsu knows that he’s slowly coming to grips with Reigen actually having meaningful advice, but he’s pushing it a little right now, “I know it’s not entirely my place, but you should learn to trust your brother more.”
“Excuse me?”
“All that stuff about me not being a good influence on him, or how you didn’t expect him to tell me to stop smoking — you know Mob’s his own person, right? If I was really such a bad guy, don’t you think he’d pick up on it?”
Ritsu feels like the air in his gut has been completely punched out of him. However slowly he was coming around on Reigen before, he’s now had the rug pulled out from underneath him, and the hard smack of the ground is stinging his conscious.
Reigen is completely right. How on earth did this happen?
Has he really not been trusting Shigeo? Since he got his psychic powers, Ritsu thought that any of the conflict between them had all but faded away, and they can now relate to each other through common goals, through similar ideals. How is it that Reigen can understand Shigeo better than his own brother can? Is Ritsu at fault for this?
It makes sense, though, Ritsu reasons; Reigen is older, he knows more about people and he spends enough time around Shigeo. Maybe Ritsu can take some cues from him.
Awakening his psychic powers always seemed like a reset button for Ritsu, like that point in his life was where everything turned on its head. He got the powers he always wanted, and now he never has to succumb to his brotherly envy again. But, maybe he’s simplifying it too much. There’s more to his relationship with his brother than their psychic powers, and there’s more to himself than whether or not he has powers — there always has been. That much should be obvious to him, so shouldn’t he grant the same point of view to his brother? Shigeo’s more than just the greatest psychic — he is not his powers. He’s his own person, and if Reigen is right about him changing so much so recently, then Ritsu’s really got nothing to worry about.
“Ugh,” Ritsu scoffs, the weight of his realisation finally taking hold on his shoulders. “You’re right.” He sits up straighter, looking around the room. It doesn’t feel any different to before, just the way that he fits into it has changed. He looks back to Reigen, and sighs. “So, how am I getting paid for this, anyway?”
Reigen thinks for a second. “What’s your favourite food?”
“Um…I like tofu. And boiled pork.”
Reigen nods, storing the information away. “Let’s see what we can get you after this, okay?”
“Wait, really?” Reigen would really be willing to buy food for him, even when he’s been adverse to him this whole time?
“Of course. Just make sure you don’t tank my business today, and we’ll get something afterwards.”
Ritsu blinks. Yeah, he definitely should learn to trust Shigeo more. His master is pretty alright.
“Thank you.”

Sweet things
------------
Warnings: Angst , omegaverse, written on my phone so I can't add read more so wall of text, cussing. Sweet sweetpea XD I started writing at 2AM, it's now 4AM. Sorry for any mistakes.
Pairing: Sweetpea x Reader
----------
Y/N was walking down the hallway of riverdale high with Toni and her girlfriend, Cheryl. She listened quietly as the two talked about their weekend plans.
"So what do you think Y/N?"
You looked toward Toni and nodded your head "About meeting up at the whyte wyrm this weekend and playing pool? I'm down, are we going to invite the boys or is this going to be a girls only outing?"
Cheryl rolled her eyes "please chikadee, you know they're going to be there already. Might as well include them from the beginning so we don't have to deal with their pestering"
You and Toni laughed. It was true.
The three of you were stopped as fangs ran toward you all before stopping in front of you. "Guys! Guess what class we have next?"
You rose your brow "I haven't a clue fangs, what is it? "
"Sex Ed" he replied, his tone slightly lower and he wiggled his brows after giving the answer.
Only fangs could make three women roll their eyes at the same time.
Toni scoffed "you guys are so disturbing"
Sweet pea, who has joined the group after fangs had revealed his big news showed mock offense at what she said.
You chuckled "I don't think there is anything anyone can teach you guys about sex. Pretty sure you man whores already know it all"
This time it was Fangs who acted offended but you knew he wasn't. The group of you were so close that you could say pretty much anything to each other and all of you had pretty sarcastic humor.
You stiffened slightly when you felt an arm go around your shoulders, but relaxed quickly when you realized it was just sweet pea. He squeezed you slightly "well let's all go" he stated "wouldn't want to he late for this next lesson"
With a laugh, the five of you made your way to the classroom. As sweetpea stayed close you tried to calm your beating heart.
-------
Much to the disappointment of many of the males in the class, it turned out not to be completely about sex ed. But instead the three categories one might belong to. Alpha, beta or omega.
You sighed as you looked at the board and took in all that the teacher was saying. It wasn't anything new. It had been drilled into everyone's head since elementary school.
Alphas were the top of the categories. They excelled in anything and everything. They were common.
Betas were average. They could be good, bad mediocre. They too were common.
Omegas. Oh omegas, the bottom of the food chain. They were rare and often looked down upon. They could get pregnant easily, even males could(those were extremely rare though). They had a week long heat cycle once a month, which could be very painful if they didn't take medication for it. The only way to really cure the pain was to well...have sex. When they had a heat cycle they emitted pheromones that would attract and drive any nearby alphas crazy, literally. All logic would be gone and both the alpha and omega would rely on their instincts to have sex.
That's why usually omegas locked themselves in their houses when their heat cycle came. Unless They had a mate, then it wasn't as bad or as strong.
Thankfully you were a beta. Everyone in riverdale got tested as a child to find out what they were. You were pretty sure there were only a handful of omegas in riverdale.
Most mated by now or were shipped off to some place that kept them safe until they were ready.
You looked around the classroom. A good mixture of betas and alphas.
Sweetpea was an alpha. As was Jughead, it's why the two of them butted heads so often. Testing each other. Challenging each other, well mainly it was sweet pea doing the challenging.
Betty and veronica were alphas. So was Archie.
Cheryl and Toni were both betas. As was fangs.
You were brought from your thoughts as a sharp pain went through you, you clenched your jaw and closed your eyes, you took a deep breath. This had been happening on and off all day. Along with randomly feeling light headed. Were you getting sick? Hopefully not.
"Psst"
You opened your eyes and looked at sweetpea beside you. He was looking slightly concerned "are you okay?" He whispered.
You nodded and smiled softly "Yeah, I'm fine"
Before he could reply the teacher cleared their throat. "Sweetpea, Y/N anything you'd like to share with the class?"
You and sweetpea looked forward, sweet pea shook his head "Nah, you can continue"
The teacher looked unamused but turned around with a huff and continued the lesson.
You met your best friends gaze and the both of you chuckled.
----------
You were changing for P.E when the pain hit you again, worse this time. You doubled over from it and had a bit of a hard time standing. The lightheaded feeling returned as well, this time without subsiding.
A lot of people asked if you were okay, and you were. At least, that's what you were trying to convince yourself. You didn't want to go home yet, the day was almost over.
But you also knew that you couldn't participate in P.E today, not like this. So you slowly made your way to the teacher and asked if you could just sit and watch.
It took awhile, but the teacher finally agreed. With the condition that you would help clean up the room afterwords. Figuring that you'd be fine after some rest, you agreed and went to the bleachers to sit and watch.
It was an easy class for the others as well. Basketball. Boys played on one side, girls on the other.
Not surprisingly Sweetpea got into a scuffle with Reggie. Their "fight" was really just two alphas trying to prove who was better, but since he had started it, the fight had ended with sweetpea getting clean up duty as well.
With it being the last class of the day, that also left you and sweetpea to lock up the gym. Cause god forbid the teachers stay to do their job.
By the end of the class, your pain and lightheadedness had subsided enough for you to be able to clean without issue.
Soon you and sweetpea found yourselves in the storage room, slowly putting all the supplies back into their correct places.
It was odd being alone with Sweetpea, usually either Fangs or Toni were close by. But it wasn't uncomfortable, you've known and been friends with sweetpea for as long as you could remember. You two had been best friends first, and then fangs and Toni joined.
You Were brought from your thoughts as the storage room door slammed shut. Your eyes widened as you thought for a moment that maybe sweetpea had left not realizing you were still in here.
As you made your way to the door you realized that wasn't the case and Sweetpea himself had just reached the door too, from the other side of the room.
The two of you shared a look and then he frowned and reached for the handles, he pushed and frowned when they didn't budge "what the fuck.."
He tried again, with no luck.
You frowned "Seriously?!" How cliche could it get for two teens to get locked in a storage room.
"Do you have your phone? Maybe you can call the school or someone to let them know we are in here?"
You shook your head "unfortunately no, it's in my locker"
Sweetpea only cussed in response.
At that moment you felt another pang of pain go through you, you hissed at the feeling. Holding your stomach as you leaned over.
"Y/N...."
Hearing sweetpeas cautious tone you looked up, only to see him standing away from you and very stiffly.
"Why do you smell so sweet Y/N?"
Your brow furrowed "W-what are you talking about sweetpea I-" your response was cut off by another wave of pain. You groaned.
Sweetpea took another step back, his eyes wide with caution. "Are you in heat Y/N?! I thought you were a beta!"
"I-I am, these are just cramps or the flu or something"
Sweetpeas jaw clenched and then he turned away from you "Just please, go over to the other side of the room. Far away from me"
With his strained tone, you knew he was serious and didn't bother to argue with him.
Instead, once the pain subsided you did as he asked.
Once you were further away from him, he seemed to relax slightly and then he started acting like a mad man. Pounding and kicking the door. Yelling for anyone to come and open it.
But it seemed as though it was all in vain. No one came.
As you sat, huddled in a corner of the room you wondered on whether or not you could really be an omega, and in heat. If So, you werent sure how this would turn out.
----------
It felt like hours had passed. The pain kept coming, harder and for longer periods of time. To add on to the pain, you felt hot. Burning almost.
A craving came that you didn't feel often, the craving for another being.
You leaned your head back on the Wall, cursing whatever higher being there may be, why you? Why him?
The pain went through you one more time, followed heavily with desire and heat.
Slowly you got up, you knew he told you to stay. But you hadn't heard anything from him for awhile. You were worried.
You made your way to the door, to see him standing in front of it. His head leaning against it, his back toward you as he took deep breaths. As though he was trying to calm himself.
"Sweetpea" you called his name softly.
He stiffened "Go back Y/N. I don't know if I'll be able to control myself if you get any closer"
You stopped for a moment but then continued "W-what if i don't want you to?"
He turned to look at you and that's when you noticed his pupils were dilated. He looked wilder then usual. "Y/N....."
You took another step closer "Please sweetpea, please help me take the pain away"
He didn't hesitate then. You Soon found yourself being slammed against the wall, caged in by sweetpea. Without hesitation your arms were around his neck and your legs around his waist as the two of you met in a raw and passionate kiss.
------
When you awoke the pain you had felt previously was gone, as was the heat. You were also naked and on a mat that had been in the storage room. You ached, but felt complete.
Looking around the dimly lit room you spotted sweetpea, he was dressed and sitting by the door with head in his hands.
You frowned, feeling slightly guilty that you may have forced sweet pea into doing something he regretted.
Just as you were about to call out to him, you heard it. And so did he by the way his head jerked up and he got quickly to his feet.
"Sweet pea!" "Y/N!"
It was Fangs and Toni.
Sweetpea wasted no time pounding on the door and calling out for your friends.
You rose quickly and got dressed in record time, there would be no hiding what you guys did. But you at least wanted to look somewhat decent.
Soon the door opened, revealing your relieved friends. As the room became lighter you took in sweetpea's appearance. He looked rough and you also noticed the multiple bite marks and dry blood all over his hands and own arms. You don't remember biting him...
As you watched him quickly instruct Toni and Fangs to take you to the hospital and home and then leaving without looking back, it hit you. He had bit himself to avoid biting you, you felt your heart break as you realized how much he didn't want to mark you, mate you.
You always thought you were never worthy of him because you were a beta, but now you realize you still weren't even as an omega.
With that realization, you numbly followed fangs and Toni as they lead you outside the school and as they escorted you to the hospital.
The doctors there cleared you. You were slightly bruised, but nothing serious.
They told you that your results as a child could have been a false report or maybe your sample had been mixed with another childs at the time.
They gave you medicine to help with the rest of your heat and then told you to go home and rest.
To take a few weeks off school until you were sure your heat was gone.
Once you were safely in your trailer. It all passed by in a blur. Toni, fangs and F.P(who was unaffected by your heat since he was mated) took turns "guarding" you, taking care of you.
The whole time you couldn't really acknowledge them, or anything. You just felt numb. You didn't feel that heat, that desire. You didn't even want to eat, which said a lot since you usually had an appetite similar to jughead.
It hurt. Your heart. No matter how often you texted him during your heat cycle, to see if he was okay. Or Even to make small talk. He never responded. He didn't even come to the trailer park during that time according to the others.
It was almost two weeks before you made it back to school and you were determined to find him there.
------
Sweetpea, when he wanted to, was very stealthy. He did a great job at avoiding someone when he wanted and it was incredibly frustrating.
You had been trying to track him down all week at school and somehow, someway you always ended up missing him.
Finally at the end of the week, you had enough and were finally- with some help from friends who were also tired of it- able to trap him in an empty classroom with you.
Even with the two of you alone in the room, he kept as much distance as possible.
You huffed, crossing your arms in front of you "I didn't take you for such a coward sweetpea"
He looked up at you, eyes narrowed and jaw clenched "I'm not a coward, I just-"
"Just What? Felt bad? Regretted what happened between us?"
His silence in response confirmed your thoughts, but you continued "Listen Pea, I'm sorry if I forced you to do something you didn't want with me, i understand if you're disgusted-"
"I'm not disgusted"
You rose a hand "please pea, let me finish or I won't be able to say this" the slight waver in your voice made him stop, his gaze softened and became slightly concerned.
"I-I know now that you'll never love me or see me as a potential mate no matter what I am. And that's fine, i understand but please" you met his gaze, eyes shining with unshed tears "Please Pea, I can't lose my best friend"
You couldn't stop the tears from falling even if you wanted to. This is why you had never confessed to him in the first place, aside from never thinking you had a chance, was because you didn't want to lose him or make things awkward.
Part of why you gave in that night was because you thought maybe it gave you more a chance.
You were brought from your thoughts as you felt yourself be pulled into a gentle hug.
Sweetpea pulled back and gently cupped your face "Y/N, I wasn't responding and was giving you space because I felt like I took advantage of you. But it seems like we are both idiots. I'd do anything for you to be my mate, but I didn't want it to happen when we were both going by instinct"
Without hesitating sweetpea leaned down, this time meeting you with a soft and gentle kiss that gave more then any words could.
"Ugh finally, i thought they'd never make up and get together"
You both pulled apart slightly and looked toward the door, where fangs stood his arms crossed and shit eating grin on his face.
Sweetpea rose a brow at you "we'll continue the talk about mating later, for now it seems like I have an ass to kick"
You chuckled, your heart feeling lighter then it has in a long time, as you watched Sweetpea chase his friend down the hall.

Unplanned
Pairing: Tyler Joseph x reader
Word count: 1966
Warnings: Talk of sex, angst, and language
Author’s note: Part 1 of a little mini series! Not sure how long this will be, either 3 or 4 parts! :)
“Holy shit,” you mumbled under your breath as you peeled your eyes open from the sleep that crusted them closed. You looked around at the unfamiliar room you were in, and the unfamiliar bed you were laying in. The body that laid next to you tossed and turned, and you groaned slightly as the memories of last night came back to you.
The light from the window made your head pound from the hangover that was slowly creeping its way up. You wanted to get out of bed and close the blinds but there was no way you wanted to wake him.
‘Him’ had a name. It was Tyler Joseph. It also happened to be your ex’s best friends brother. Her name was Maddy, and you and she had been inseparable since elementary school but that all changed when college came along. It just wasn’t the same, and you guys grew apart, and now you barely even exchange looks when you have invited to any of the parties that her brothers threw.
“Ty,” you softly nudged the tattooed shoulder of the boy that laid asleep. It took you a second to realize that you were also not wearing clothes, and you pulled the sheets up to your chin as Tyler sleepily opened his eyes and smiled at you.
“Good morning, Buttercup,” he yawned and he wrapped his arms around your waist, closing his eyes once again. Your heartfelt warm with the name that he called you. You remember when you first kissed Tyler, it was at senior year prom inside the photo booth. You two never made it official, and you definitely did not want to act on the emotions after you and Maddy had you're falling apart.
“Can you explain to me what happened last night,” you chuckled. Tyler leaned over the side of the bed and when he sat back up he held an oversized Twenty One Pilots shirt.
“Here, wear this.” He handed you the shirt and you threw it over your bare body. “Jay threw a party last night, and I saw you and you invited me to play beer pong with you, Jay, and Jordan.”
“Who won?”, you asked as you pulled your knees up to your chest and held them closely as you waited for him to tell the rest of the story.
“You and Jay did, but Jordan and I got close. Josh and I didn’t even want to go to the party since it would be filled with 20-year-olds but he convinced me and then I ended up actually having a really good time with you.”
“I’m glad you showed up because I kept on trying to avoid Maddy all night. It sucks being friends with your family but being hated by your sister,” you sighed and Tyler rubbed your back.
“It’s okay, anyways, back to the story! We both kissed, and then took more shots, and then kissed some more and now we are here.”
You groaned and covered your eyes with your hands, “Did we?”
“I think so,” Tyler rubbed the back of his neck with his hand as he stared into your eyes.
“I’m so sorry,” you spoke softly but Tyler lifted your chin up with his hand and he pulled you in close for a kiss. His lips were soft, and they tasted like leftover alcohol.
“Don’t be sorry, we both wanted it,” he whispered as he pulled away and you smiled shyly.
“That’s very true,” you admitted. You had been wanting to make love to Tyler for the past two years, but it was rare when you got to see him because he was busy touring with Josh.
“I wish I could just make you my girlfriend.”
“I know, Ty, but as I said before it would be too hard with you touring and me going to college. Plus your sister hates me.”
“The tour part is a good excuse, but you got to stop caring about my sister. You guys haven’t been friends for two years but my family still invites you over all the time. You’re one of Jay’s close friends too.”
“I know, it just is really hard to lose a friend, okay? You wouldn’t understand because you’re a guy,” you groaned.
“Whatever you say,” Tyler kissed your lips again and threw his legs over the bedside and started to stretch. You watched in awe as the bluish morning light danced over his back and shoulder muscles. You noticed their faint scratch marks and you started to blush.
“Do you know exactly what we did last night?” you asked shyly and Tyler turned around to look at you?
“What do you mean?”
“Like I know we made love, but your back has scratches on it, I guess I just don’t really remember exactly what happened,” you bit your lip nervously as you waited for his answer.
“I guess you liked it rough,” he chuckled and you threw a pillow over your face to hide the embarrassment. “I’m going to take a shower, and then did you want a drive back to campus?”
You nodded, “that would be nice. Is this your childhood bedroom?”
“Yep, the one and only,” Tyler smiled as he looked around at the blue walls. You had never been in his room even though you had spent almost every weekend over at his house when you were little.
You pulled on the pair of jeans you wore the night before but kept on Tyler’s oversized t-shirt. Hopefully, he wouldn’t mind that you were going to keep it, you just didn’t want to put on the tube top that you had worn to the party. The time from when Tyler went in to take a shower, and when he walked back into the room wearing just a shower seemed like 5 minutes.
“Why are you staring at me,” Tyler smirked.
“You’re just so handsome.”
“Thank you, and you are beautiful to Buttercup.” He dropped his towel as he pulled on a pair of boxers, followed by a pair of jeans. His Nintendo hoodie was the last article of clothing and you finally were able to look away. He was mesmerizing, he always has been.
Tyler headed downstairs and you followed close behind him. You really did not want to run into his siblings, but at least you did not have to worry about his parents since they were out of town. Your luck was run short as Maddy and Jay were sitting in the family room watching an episode of the Office.
“Y/N, I didn’t know you spent the night!” Jay said and you nodded shyly before looking away.
“We’re headed out, see you guys later,” Tyler waved. You looked back just in time to catch a dirty glare from Maddy. You could tell that both she and Jay knew what ended up happening, and you really did not want to deal with that.
“When are you leaving for tour again?” you asked Tyler once you were in his car as an attempt to make small talk.
“I leave for two weeks for some festivals in South America on Wednesday!”
“Wednesday? That’s in two days and you just got back from your Europe tour,” you pouted.
“That’s the life of a successful musician!”
“And an egotistical one!” you joked and Tyler laughed. You were disappointed though, you wanted to spend more time with him one and one, and maybe even go on a few dates. You enjoyed being around him, and he was so loving and caring towards you.
“I’ll text you, okay?” Tyler promised as he dropped you off at your sorority house. You nodded and shot him a thumbs up. Tyler waved as he drove away and you sniffled away your sadness. You did not want to cry over someone you aren’t even dating.
“Are you okay?” a girl asked from outside the bathroom stall that you were puking in. You wiped your mouth with toilet paper and flushed the toilet.
“I think I have the flu,” you murmured as you opened the stall door. Your friend, Taylor, stood outside with her arms crossed.
“This is like the tenth time you have thrown up this week! You should go see a doctor,” she suggested but you shook your head.
“I don’t like doctors, and I’m pretty sure it’s just the flu!”
“Whatever you say, have you talked to Tyler since he left?” she asked and you nodded.
“We text whenever he has free time, which hasn’t been that much. I miss him and he has only been gone for a week.”
“It’s understandable, you’re in love,” Taylor teased you and you rolled your eyes.
“I think love might be a little dramatic.”
“Whatever you say,” she sang as she headed back to her room. You headed back to yours where your two roommates were in there eating breakfast. One was your “Big Sister”, her name was Emma and she acted as not only as honorary Big Sister in the sorority but also as a real sister because you always go to her for advice and everything.
“Hey Em, can I talk to you?” you asked nervously. She nodded and grabbed her car keys. Since the house was filled with about 40 girls, the only private place to talk was in Emma’s car. You both headed down and hopped in the front seats.
“What’s up?” she asked. Her eyes danced across your face as she looked for a hint as to what was going on.
“I’m l-late,” you stuttered and you broke down in tears.
“Hey, hey, hey, it’s okay,” she rubbed your back. “Y/N, look at me.”
You looked up at her through foggy eyes, “I’ve been throwing up, and I’m late. Emma, I’m fucking pregnant.”
“You don’t know that something else could be going hormonally which is making you late and feeling sick.”
“I bet he didn’t use protection that night, I didn’t even think to ask and I don’t even really remember it,” you ranted and Emma just hugged you tight and allowed you break down.
“Let’s go to the store and I can pick up different tests to see, it’s going to be okay,” she said as she tried to calm you down. You nodded and wiped your nose in your sleeve.
You scanned the aisle of various pregnancy tests, but you could not get your brain to focus on any of them. You were terrified.
“Should we do this one?” you asked, grabbing what seemed like a reliable brand. Emma came over and inspected it.
“This looks good, but we should get a couple!” She grabbed two other boxes.
You checked out, got a weird look from the register lady, and headed back to the sorority house. Your heart was already racing.
“Wish me luck,” you tried to joke.
“I’ll be in my room, come find me after!”
You nodded and went into the stall. You opened the three boxes and read each of the instructions. Luckily, they were al similar, and it was a good thing you had drank a lot of water. You peed and then all you had to do now was wait.
Time was going by slower than it ever has. You tried to distract yourself by scrolling through your phone. You wanted to text Tyler, but you also did not want to freak him out during his tour. You decided that if worse comes to worst, You will tell him via phone call.
You jumped a little when the timer went off on your phone. You took a deep breath and looked down at the results. Your eyes had a hard time reading them all, but eventually, your eyes were able to make out the faint lines.
The faint two lines.
“Fucking dammit,” you whispered.

This mug is trending in my hospital right now. Legit it's more popular than me. I am sharing it this morning, post-shift and full of matcha latte, as a part of my effort in fulfilling my civic & professional duty of getting you all to just
GET THE DAMN FLU SHOT!!!
If you have insurance, it will be free somewhere (CVS, Walgreens, the grocery store, or your doctor’s office if you haven’t done anything that prevents you from showing your face there). If you don't have insurance, vaccinefinder.org can get you to somewhere that won't cost you an arm and a leg. Alternatively, here is a table of how much it'll cost you at the usual places in the US for the quadrivalent formulation as an uninsured consumer.
As for my vaccine spiel: I’m sure you’ve read all the articles swimming around in media about this, so I won’t go into the usual why’s. (Yes, for those outside of the USA, here people debate about something as elementary as why should we vaccinate.) I will, however, pull apart a few excuses anti-vaxxers use as shields, excuses I have personally heard before. (Full disclosure, I am a physician.)
"The flu shot makes people sick immediately after vaccination because the vaccine introduces the flu virus into the body, so it actually impedes the immune system from working properly! It doesn’t work!”
This shows very poor to non-existent understanding of how vaccination & the immune system works. The flu vaccine contains inactive, dead virus parts. It introduces your immune system to what the virus looks like; remember the third Harry Potter movie, where they posted pictures of Sirius Black the Death Eater Fugitive on pamphlets to warn the wizarding world about him so they know what he looks like? It’s exactly that. The faster the immune system can recognize an intruder, the faster it can kill it.
“The flu shot has other ingredients in it (like mercury) that cause various side effects from depression and memory loss to cardiovascular disease, ADHD, and autism.”
The flu vaccine used to contain a preservative called thimerosal (ethyl mercury), which is NOT the same as methyl mercury (the toxic kind). Let’s review a little chem here, as painful as those long-buried memories are. Thimerosal is a stable preservative that has been in use in tons of things since the 1920s. There is more mercury in breastmilk than there is in a single flu shot, guys.
A dude named Andrew Wakefield and a few of his buddies published a whack case series in the Lancet in 1998 suggesting that the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine, preserved using thimerosal, predisposed behavioral regression & developmental disorders in children. But the sample size was 12 patients. Twelve. That is negligibly tiny. Obviously they didn’t do their power calcs. And it was a case series - the least reliable type of research you can publish because a case series is anecdotal. Their “data” did not show strong correlation between the MMR vaccine and autism; indeed, their analytical model wasn’t even constructed to examine that hypothesis. Multiple epidemiological studies followed hot on the heels of this paper, refuting its wild claims, but the damage was done & the publicity was already on fire. It sparked a huge anti-vaxxer movement that is responsible, frankly speaking, for the recurrence of eradicated diseases such as measles, which is deadly to little children. [ You can read more about this whole debacle here. ] It was all about the MMR vaccine at first, but “MMR” disappeared and eventually it became “all vaccines cause autism.” This is what happens when you combine poor health education, an irresponsible publishing journal, and an immoral media. The Lancet only formally withdrew this paper from publication in Feb 2010. To this day, I find it difficult to trust the Lancet.
The studies that came after Wakefield’s stupid one all refuted Wakefield’s claims with stronger data, proper analyses, systematic reviews, and actual fucking power calcs, like actual fucking researchers.
Finally, we don’t even fully understand autism. How can you definitely claim that one specific thing can cause it? Remember: correlation =/= causation.
“The CDC promotes flu vaccines because they have financial ties & get kickbacks from Big Pharma. It’s all big business. The flu vaccine doesn’t work.”
Bars and clubs will promote alcohol to you because they get kickbacks from the breweries. It’s all big business. Does that mean that the alcohol doesn’t work?
Why are you okay giving Big Pharma your money for vitamins you don’t really need (most people don’t really need multivitamins, it just makes your pee expensive) but you can’t give them money for life-saving, pandemic-fighting vaccines that COST LESS?
And since we’re talking about business, you should know that vaccines are actually not profitable for pharmaceutical companies, because they have to make entirely new batches EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. The overheads on that must cost $$$$, I mean, they have to pay the researchers a living wage, and it takes months to make the vaccines. Come on, we all know the real money is made with ridiculously expensive life-saving medications such as insulin and the EpiPen. Duh.
Health is worth more than money, honey. Spend a day in a hospital hooked up to a ventilator with tubes coming out of every orifice and you will never deny this.
“I still get sick after the flu shot. It doesn’t work for me.”
The flu has various strains every year, and the vaccine is only made with the strains they (the researchers) predict will be the most widely distributed across a certain population. It involves a lot of statistics. Does this mean that you should skip the shot? No. Statistically, your chances of getting the most virulent, widely distributed strain is HIGHER than your chances of getting a different strain the vaccine isn’t made with. That statistics course really matters, you know.
Yes, you get a different type of flu vaccine depending on where you are in the world. The northern & southern hemispheres get different vaccine formulations because they typically get different strains. This is also why a flu strain from, say, southern China or India is fucking TERRIFYING for Europe or the US, because we likely will not have any immunity to that shit. (And vice versa.)
The flu virii evolve every year. They get more virulent, more adaptable, and more insidious every time. And do you know how they evolve? Because some asshole somewhere had partial/augmented immunity and the virus evolves under these conditions. This asshole was sick with a different strain of the flu before, but doesn’t believe in the flu shot, so he doesn’t get the one issued this year. He then gets maybe mildly sick with the new flu strain, while his wife is still sick with the previous flu strain he carried. The two strains are exposed to each other and under these conditions, the virus can evolve by mutation or genetic reassortment. Cross-exposure to other viral strains (antigenic drift) is a mechanism for viral variation & results in newer, deadlier strains that both partially immune people (infected before with other strains) AND vaccinated people cannot fight off. Then it spreads to their kid, who spreads it at the daycare, and those kids give it to their parents, who spread it at work... this, folks, is how you get an epidemic.
Vaccination really only works to eliminate a disease when you unilaterally vaccinate the entire population across the board. (As best as you can, anyway.) The vaccine will never work 100% - there is always a margin of error - but if you cover the entire population, your margin becomes more acceptable. Whereas if only some people get vaccinated, then you open up chances for viral mutation.
By the way, you might FEEL sick immediately after the flu shot, but you aren’t sick. That’s your immune system sucking your entire body dry of resources, making your muscles ache & giving you fatigue as it revs up & prepares brand new antibodies for this new virus. This takes a toll on your body, but you can combat the “sick” feeling by exercising lightly, hydrating very well, eating clean, and getting some sleep.
“My child already has a disease that lowers their immune system. If I give them the shot, that’ll completely deplete their remaining reserve. They might get a different infection and die!”
Again, a poor understanding of immune biology. 100% wrong. I give flu vaccines to immunodeficient patients with HIV, transplant patients who are taking immunosuppressants, and patients who are taking meds like Humira (immunosuppressing side effect). In fact, I prioritize the vaccine for them. They, above everyone else, need to be prepared for the coming strains of flu. I am giving their immune system time to prepare. - Of course I will monitor them closely & take appropriate precautions to prevent them from contracting other infections. I’ll support their physiological needs while they convalesce. But immunosuppression is no excuse. (That being said, have a conversation with your physician. Dosing, type, and timing of the vaccine can vary depending on your individual situation & condition.)
“Evidence now suggests that ingredients in flu shots can actually cause serious neurological disorders, like Guillain-Barre syndrome or similar neuromuscular diseases thought to be of autoimmune origin.”
In 1976, the CDC published that there was a risk of Guillain-Barre syndrome happening after a patient got a flu vaccine IF they have had the swine flu vaccine before. The risk was calculated to be 1 in 100,000 people who got the swine flu vaccine. The Institute of Medicine (IOM) did a scientific review on this issue in 2003 and concluded that the people who got the swine flu vaccine in 1976 were at increased risk, but otherwise, there has been no significant change or increase since then. Did you get the swine flu vaccine in 1976? No? Okay, go get the flu shot.
It is true that there have been observed cases where neuromuscular disorders like Guillain-Barre or chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) seems to be triggered, or occur after the patient gets the vaccine. We don’t fully understand how or why. I have treated these patients (they are relatively rare, I see maybe 1-2 every year) and they recover well provided competent care at a good hospital. Look out for research on this, but until we definitively know a causative link, it’s foolish to skip a perfectly safe, proven, and highly recommended vaccine to avoid a very narrow “maybe.”
If you have questions, guys, I will answer. Drop me an ask or PM me. But please, please spread the word and get vaccinated.
If you get scared or doubt your decision to get the shot, remember that the only reason we are not all dead from smallpox (it was an epidemic) and cholera (a pandemic) and rabies (from all your pets) and typhoid (also a pandemic) and the fucking black plague is because of that 5ml of liquid in that tiny little syringe.
Vaccines do not cause autism. Vaccines cause adults.
GET. THE. SHOT.

Name 3 foods that you like that your mom doesn't. >> ---
What flavor was the last popsicle you ate? >> I can’t remember the last time I had a popsicle.
Do you like mango? >> I do. Dried mango is the only dried fruit I like, too.
What was the last thing you got falsely accused of? >> It’s been a while since I’ve been in the position to be falsely accused of anything.
What was the last thing you ordered online? >> CBD capsules.
Who was the last person you rode in a car with? >> Sparrow.
Have you ever been kicked out of a store? >> Yeah, back when I was a shoplifter.
Which major holiday is your birthday closest to? >> Memorial Day. Some years it’s the same day.
Do you use a sunlamp? >> I don’t. Too concentrated for me.
When was the last time you cleaned your room? >> It’s been a while since I did more than just vacuum and tidy. I’ll probably do a more thorough cleanout as spring approaches.
Do you feel like you accomplished anything today? >> I haven’t set out to accomplish anything, so no.
Do you drink tea every day? >> Not every day. I probably would if I could get myself to make it.
What does caffeine do to you? >> The amount of caffeine that is in a standard cup of coffee is liable to ruin my sleep that night (even if I drink it in the morning). I used to abuse the shit out of stimulants, which affected me normally at best back then, so at some point my tolerance kind of broke and now I’m pretty sensitive to any sort of stimulant. The level of caffeine that you’d find in, say, a cup of black tea is the best amount for me.
What's a drink you have been loving lately? >> Er... nothing in particular.
What was your favorite Starbucks drink last summer? >> I don’t drink Starbucks.
What is/was your favorite teen magazine? >> ---
What were you almost named? >> ---
What would your name be if you had been born the opposite gender? >> ---
Are you happy with your life right now? >> It’s fine.
Do you ever feel jealous of others? >> Sure.
When was the last time you had a fever? >> I don’t know. I doubt I’ve had a fever more than, like, once in my life.
Do you normally get fevers when you're sick? >> I don’t normally get sick, even.
Do you get the stomach flu every year? >> No. God, that’d be fucking awful.
Which symptom do you get more often when you're sick: fever or vomiting? >> ---
What color hair would you have if you were a cartoon character? >> White.
Use 5 words to describe your dream wedding. >> ---
Would other people describe you as creative? >> I’m sure someone might.
Do you trust all of your facebook friends? >> ---
Have you ever had a facebook friend betray you? a real-life friend betray you? >> I don’t really know what betrayal would look like for me.
What color are your slippers? >> Grey.
Would you rather paint or carve a pumpkin? >> I’d rather just leave a pumpkin alone.
What state do you want to visit next? >> ---
If you had to live in another country for a year, which country would it be? >> I don’t know enough about any country to know if I’d want to live there for a year.
Do you have moments you wish you could erase from your memory? >> Not really.
Are you haunted by memories of stupid things you've said and done? >> No.
Did you like high school or college better? >> ---
Who was your favorite Olsen twin? >> Are they really all that different from each other, lol...
Are you part Irish? >> No.
Do you ever listen to Celtic music? >> Sure, I’ve listened to it.
Do you wear slippers? >> I have a pair, as suggested by my answer about ten questions ago, but I don’t wear them that often. I like being barefoot or wearing socks at home best.
Which accent do you like best? >> ---
Tea or coffee? >> Tea.
What show did you want to be on when you were younger? >> I wanted to be on MTV’s Made when I was in high school.
Have you ever won a spelling bee? >> Yes. I’m not telling that story again right now.
Were you one of the smartest in your class? >> When I was elementary school, yes. That evened out by middle school, and then I dropped sharply behind in several subjects by high school.
Do you think it's unfair that people less intelligent than you make more money than you? >> I... what?
Do you know a lot of rich and spoiled and selfish people? >> No, I really don’t.
Are you still waiting for the guy/girl of your dreams? >> ---
Do you enjoy being single? >> I don’t know, I haven’t been single in a long time. I think the worst thing about being single for me wouldn’t be the lack of partner (I’m aromantic anyway) but the lack of a secondary income, because SSI is definitely not the kind of income one can live off of despite what the government insists.
Do you enjoy mornings? >> Sure.
Have you ever been to jail? >> No.
Have you ever feared going to jail or thought about what it would be like? >> Certainly.
Is the criminal justice system fair where you live? >> I’m convinced the fairness of the American justice system is proportionate to the social status of the person facing its judgement.
Is your country's government corrupt? >> Sure, corruption is present. I find it hard to believe that any government can exist without at least a smidge of corruption somewhere in it.
Do you ever meditate on Scripture and pray to God? >> No.
Which do you like better: your Chinese zodiac sign or regular zodiac sign? >> Western astrology is more resonant with me than Chinese astrology. In fairness, I don’t know a whole lot about Chinese astrology, either.
What are your zodiac signs (Chinese and regular)? >> Rabbit (iirc) and Gemini Sun.
Did you know that the zodiac signs (the regular ones) are Greek? >> I didn’t think much about it, but yeah, considering the names of the signs, that makes sense.
Have you ever learned about Greek mythology in school? >> Not in school. I learned about it independently because it interested me.
Did you enjoy literature? >> No.
What was your favorite book you had to read for school? >> The only one I recall enjoying was Their Eyes Were Watching God. I read it again recently and I still enjoyed it.
Do you stay up late? >> Not purposefully. Sometimes I just have trouble winding down. Like last night.
Will you let your kids have a youtube channel, do you think? >> ---
Have you ever owned a designer purse? >> No.
Do you like the taste of Tums? >> Like, I wouldn’t eat them for fun, but they’re not repulsive or anything.

Survey #238
“crimson calligraphy written on the trees, creature from the grave, headless and hellbent for me.”
Have you ever played golf? Like, mini-golf. Is there a lake near your house? No, but there's two small ponds down the road. Have you ever made your own pizza or pasta dough? No. Have you ever watched an entire season of a tv show in one day? Uhhhhh how long are the first few seasons of Supernatural? Because Jason and I fucking binged it, and I honestly think that's partially the reason I don't even enjoy TV anymore. Like I liked the show, but jfc it became torture at some point. Not his fault at all, I just never pointed it out. BUT ANYWAY, it's definitely possible we did. What did you have for dinner tonight (or last night)? A ham and cheese hot pocket. Do your parents do things that ‘embarrass’ you? This is so mean, but my mom makes the cringiest jokes and such imo that gives me mad secondhand embarrassment. Do you like any Bon Jovi songs? Yeah, a decent handful. Who was the last person you were in a car with? Mom. Do you give people second chances? Ha, more than "second." How’re things between you and your most recent ex? We're totally great. Really as if we didn't even break up, considering I mean... nothing emotionally has changed. We just know that being together right now isn't the wise decision. It's frustrating as hell, though. We've already established we're not going to "wait" for each other, but neither of us are actively looking for a new partner, either. I want her, and from what I can tell, she wants me, too. We kinda just... don't talk about how unfair it all is anymore because we both get too upset. I was even supposed to go up there with her and her fam for her birthday and Christmas, but that's changed because she and I agree it's too soon after splitting, making it only more difficult to be around each other. We'd want to cuddle and kiss and such by instinct, so we're trying to wait until the wound isn't as fresh. Though honestly, I don't know how visiting period would go consider as said, there has been zero change in romantic attraction. Ugh yeah I just hope she figures out what she wants and all and we can get back together. Have you been to a wedding this year? No. I'm going to my half-sister's next year, though. Are you an aunt or uncle? Yes, and another niece is on her way. :') Do you expect to be married in the next two years? Probably not. What season is your birthday in? Winter. Have you ever been hunting? Fuck that shit. How often do you walk around barefoot? Always in my own house + in other houses if I'm allowed to take my shoes off. When you eat take-out, do you just eat it out of the containers provided? Usually, but it does depend on what food it is. Ex., those little boxes that have rice in them from Chinese places? I'm using a bowl. From the container is just messy. Would you need to sleep with someone before considering marrying them? Nah. Do you carry condoms? No. Would you date someone who has a hearing aid? ... Yes...? "No" is just... so rude?? Like that is something the person absolutely cannot help, nor is it a HUGE thing. It's just a hearing aid, dude. How organized are the files on your computer? Pretty decent. Folders and such. Could be better still, probably. Have you ever been to a strip club? Nah, not my scene. Have you ever brought home a stray animal? Pleeeeenty of cats. Are you physically strong? No, especially not my legs. I've got a newborn fawn's legs, jc. Still working on building the muscle back up. Would you date someone with braces? Oh my god, fuck off. Yes I would. I was the person with braces dating someone without them, so 1.) I obviously can't say shit, 2.) they're taking care of their goddamn teeth, and 3.) I dunno, wearing braces has no goddamn impact on personality???????????? Does scuba diving interest you? Not to an incredible degree, but it'd be cool. Would you ever ask your parents for relationship advice? Maybe for certain topics. Do you think people look up to you? Y'know that "oh no hunty WHAT is u doin" meme??? That's me if someone does. How often do you have trouble sleeping at night? *blinking* There are people who don't??????? Do you blush easily? Ohhhhhh yes. Do you get angry at yourself or at others more often? Hm. Not sure. Can you name five current world leaders? AHAHA nope. How many times have you had the flu? Zero. Do you think imagination is valuable? Oh hell yes. We would be NOWHERE CLOSE to where we are as animals without it. Who or what are you most impatient with? I don't know. When was the last time you mowed a lawn? Never. Have you seen all of the Star Wars films? No; seen only the first three with a friend and saw zero appeal. He didn't either. How about all of the Harry Potter ones, so far? I haven't even seen one. Jason and I started the first one together but. Paid way more attention to each other than the movie lmfao. What part of the newspaper do you typically enjoy reading? None. I collect my school's papers now though 'cuz I'm the photographer for it. :') Have you ever made a website, even a simple one? Four that I remember. The ancient and now-defunct ones were back when I think this site called Wetpaint was a host for simple sites, and a lot of us RPers posted our mob info and stuff there. I had one for Talons, one for Connrads. Ha, out of curiosity, I think I looked for them not all too long ago since I never actually deleted them, but I think the site itself was re-purposed. NOW, I have a Wix site for my photography, and then Kalahari Manor is a ProBoards-hosted site. Which was better: your childhood or your teen years? Jfc, childhood. Teen years were a chaotic and rancid cesspit in terms of mental health. What was your reaction to your first time falling in love? I truly imagine that realizing I was *in love* with Jason surpassed what a high probably feels like lmao. What does it take for someone to win your heart? I'm actually putting thought into this one and I think what appeals to me in a person most is just being friendly with a good sense of humor and obvious, shameless concern for others. AND JFC, HAVE EMOTION. Don't be a brick wall with me. Lacking an emotional side, positive or negative, is such a turn-off to me. I'm not attracted to robots. Being a gentle person is important, and for me personally, you need to actually act like you're into me. Not just between us. Do not make me a secret. AND BE CREATIVE AND WEIRD AND FRESH!!!!!!!!!!! There's nothing wrong with more "vanilla" people, but just for me myself, I need someone who stands out for some good reason. lol okay this answer's actually getting kinda long, I'll stop. There's a number of ways. What is one thing you would rather be doing? Ha ha yo real talk, Sara and I are getting all emotional and deep into our relationship, platonic or romantic, and I want me and her in her bed right now tearing each other up alsdkjfla;kwejre I love her a lot ok. When was the last time you changed your mind about something? OKAY SO I started a new birth control, right? It. Sent. Me. BACK. With my PTSD. How? Idfk, but I was suddenly obsessing over Him again, badly. I stopped that shit, and wha'd'ya know, two days later, I'm like "lol wtf I don't want him why did that just happen hunty was u ok????????". SO YEAH, that was a trip. Do you know anyone with a lisp? I'm not sure. Possibly. How much weight can you lift at once? No clue. Not a lot. Do you ask guys out, or wait for them to ask you out? I've never asked a guy out, but I wouldn't say I wouldn't. Do you like the last person who showed interest in you? I love her. Describe the last person you stared at? I have no idea. Do you like dating one person at a time, or multiple people? I'm personally monogamous. Have your experiences made you more or less sympathetic to others? MORE. Do you find smoking unattractive? I do. Have your parents ever searched your personal belongings? Mom has. Where did you get your last bruise from? ... Well. This is uh. Awkward. Tying into when I was on that medicine that made my libido fucking uncontrollable (thank the fucking lord I'm back to normal), my breasts are lookin rough, sister. Are you looking forward to anything? Nothing in the VERY near future, I think. A bit further off, Christmas. I can't wait to see the kids so excited again, and for once, we come together as a true family. Plus my #1 wish is to have my Mark tattoo improved at an amazing parlor, and I'm pretty sure that'll be happening, just obvs. not on Christmas Day itself. I'll just be fuckin STOKED when I *know* it's happening. Do you have a good relationship with your parents? Yes. How much money did you spend today? $1.25 for something from the vending machine. I didn't have breakfast, so I was really hungry. When you’re bored in class, what do you usually do? Try to not doze off. If we're not doing anything, then I'll play around with my phone. Have you ever had a song stuck in your head for more than a day? Oh, definitely. Ever walked into the guy’s bathroom? HA as a stupid elementary school with her friends, we sure did during a work day (my mom used to work with special ed kids at school). We thought we were soooo rebellious. How many wives or husbands do you want? One. What happens if you fall in love with your best friend? Ha, did. I still am, and we hope to be back together someday. Has a teacher ever flirted with you? Not that I know of. Thankfully. Is it okay for friends to kiss each other, as friends? It's not my thing, but sure, if it's consenting and both are aware it's platonic. Do your wishes ever get granted in the worst way possible? Probably in some way at some point I don't recall. How do you feel about your naked body? NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO Have you ever been called obnoxious? I don't think so, anyway. Do you wish you had a bigger family? No. Which friend would you kiss full on the mouth, no questions asked? Sara. Can you do a split or stick your foot up next to your ear? Nope. When was the last time you complained about something? I was venting some mild frustration to Sara earlier tonight. What is your favorite color combination? Favorite is probably pastel orange and light blue. Love it. Then there's pastel pink and purple. Okay pretty much any combination is about the pastels When was the last time you spoke in front of a group? A month or so back when I had to do my Lifeline presentation in FYS. Do you like group projects, or do you prefer to work alone? I strongly prefer working alone. There's no disagreements, compromises, incompetent partners, etc. Have you ever been told you were going to Hell? Yup! (: Indirectly, but. How did you respond? I don't recall, but I wish I did. Who is the most argumentative person you know? She's not in my life anymore partially BECAUSE of that shit. Do you know anyone who is crazy about proper grammar? Yes, but she has OCD as a valid reason. I'm pretty particular about it too to a degree. Who was the last person to make you feel special? Oh my gosh, my therapist told me she was so proud of me and the progress I was making that I just entirely lit up and became a total beaming ball of giggles and "thank you"s. Would you feel funny if you kissed somebody of the same sex? No, I'm bi. If your best friend grabs your hand, what do you automatically do? Squeeze it. What’s something you can cook or bake like a pro? Cheesy and spicy scrambled eggs, man. Also known as the only thing I can properly cook lmao. Do you tend to flirt a lot, even when the person isn’t single? Fuck no, if they're not single. I'll flirt with my s/o when I see it appropriate or relevant, and in a case where we're both single, I'd be very subtle about it because shy. What’s something that you think is really cute? Off the very top of my head, the Ewoks from Star Wars, oh my fucking god. They were the only thing I enjoyed in the movies. What’s a pretty bird? I mean... pretty much all of them. BUT, can we take a moment to appreciate the bearded vulture? like???? they're fucking BADASS???????????? Besides sleeping, what do you do in bed? Almost... everything. It's the reason I endured/am still recovering from muscle atrophy in my legs. Have you ever hacked into somebody’s account? Playfully, back when that was a thing for friends to do and post lovey-dovey stuff about them everywhere. Megan and I, and I believe Mini and I as well, did it to each other. Possibly more. Is having to pee really badly worse than being really thirsty? Oh hell yes it is. The former can get to a point of hurting. Have you ever touched a Qu'ran? No. Do you love animals more than most? Oh definitely. Why do you eat fast food? It's easy to grab when on the run, and Mom has almost zero time to cook. Then we both have school. Most often I just warm things up in the microwave or grab something substantial enough in the fridge. Is there always going to be that one person you and a friend makes fun of? I guess you could say indirectly, yes. Just something she said in a certain way became an inside joke. Her as a person, no, I wouldn't do that. What is a bad habit of yours that you’re actually trying to fix? Having terrible eye contact. I have a very hard time maintaining it, but I've been trying to keep that weakness in mind when talking to people. Do you write out your feelings? That's one reason why I take these surveys, yes. Do you have bills to pay yet? It's embarrassing that I don't. Not saying like, I want to pay bills, what madman would, but I do want to feel more like a proper, independent adult. Will you be changing your hair any time soon? Not the style, but one thing I'm asking for Christmas is a professional to dye my hair silver. I say pro because my hair does NOT hold color, and because of the bleach needed, Mom's concerned I'll damage my hair if I put my trust into anyone less qualified. Does your mom have a celebrity look-alike? I don't think so, but she looks UNCANNILY like her firstborn daughter. It is SCARY. Is there something you wish you could learn to do? There's loads of stuff. Probably above all, cook. Or stop procrastinating. If you could be amazing at ONE thing, what would it be? Drawing precisely what I see in my head. Because of how important they are to me, I would pay BIG FUCKING BUCKS to get how my 'kats look onto paper. What do you wish people would pay you to do? Complain about my weight. :^) I'd be able to just pay for surgery to fix that within a day. Do you take good pictures? I personally think I do. I mean I wanna be a professional photographer. How would one go about impressing you? It depends on the subject and difficulty of whatever. What probably impresses me most would be someone maintaining a mature, peaceful attitude when there is reason to act otherwise. Self-control, that's it. Do you automatically apologize if you walk into somebody? Duh? Tell me a memory of this summer: It was fucking scorching and I hated every minute of it. What’s something that you don’t need, but really want? Hmmmm. OH, HELL YES. IF I had the proper body to even remotely pull them off, I. Would wear. NOTHING. But corsets. Jesus FUCKING Christ they are so hot. What do you draw more than anything else? Just about all I draw is meerkats. What’s the most favorite class you’ve ever had? The Digital Photography course I took in high school. Or Art Honors my junior year. I really enjoyed the stuff I made. For each person you’ve kissed, describe your feelings in one word: Jason: melancholy; Tyler: dramatic; Girt(?): loyal; Sara: ideal. How do you react when you trip or stumble? Gasp and carry on. If it was a more serious trip, I look around at who saw. Are you good at “biting your tongue”? NO. Why do you love the one you do? She's been there for me without fail, has undying faith in me, supports me through everything, is honest, she's funny and very unique, her adoration for animals shows a great level of compassion, she trusts me so much despite her history, she stands extremely firmly for what she sees as right and wrong... okay I can honestly write an essay on why I love her. Would you rather get [another] tattoo or piercing? GIMME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 THE TATTOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111111 Do you have long or short legs? I'd say they're normal, idk. When do you listen to Nickelback? *shrugs* When I wanna? Would you rather make the first move, or your crush? Them. I'm shy.

Blog 9: Change in my Master Plan
Hey you guys! Since our last post I told you all that I lost a few pounds after I caught the flu and that I would be prepping for my physical fitness test a few weeks later. Well my physical fitness test isn’t until May 04 so I had a little more time to get myself together in order to pass height and weight.
Two weeks ago I went to my unit just to see where I was at with my height and weight. You guys I was at 42% which is 8 percent over where I need to be. The Army doesn’t use the body fat calculator you hold in your hand to measure your body fat, their old school. They use measuring tape to calculate the inches. In order for me to not get taped I have to weigh 135 lbs and I haven’t seen those numbers since elementary school.
So, right after I got over the flu. CPT Barnes reached out to me and asked if I was ready to get serious about loosing weight. CPT Barnes has been reaching out to me since I had my daughter, but I would avoid her and was in denial about my body being at its best . Long story short I finally gave in. To be honest after I did the 8 week boot camp I didn’t really feel like I did a productive transformation that I know my body is capable of . So I gave CPT Barnes 4 weeks of straight dedication.
The picture you see: is after 2 weeks of training.
The picture below is of me at 193.6 lbs.
I did a traumatic change in my diet and started doing Herbalife after two weeks of training. Something had to give! I gave up beef and pork and started to consume more fish and chicken. I drink a lot more water. I will have a sweet every now and again, but not everyday because my body will reject it. I believe the main reason I’m shedding the weight is because I work out during lunch. After lunch all I want is my bed and a can of tuna. CPT Barnes has me on a steady routine where I have a shake in the morning snack before lunch after have my shake and a small meal and snack before dinner and my last shake and it’s been helping me since I’ve been training with her.
It’s just amazing how far I have come with my results and with the support of you guys pushing me to where I desired to be.
This is the last part I intend on adding to my essay. It was hard trying to revise others, because criticism is a tough pill for some to swallow even if it’s just being constructive. In the words of Erykah Badu, “ I’m an artist and I’m sensitive about my s***.”

School:
1:What grade are you in? I’m not.
2: Are you in Middle, High, or college? ( or neither)? Neither, like I said I graduated college back in 2015.
3: Whats your favorite class? English was always my favorite. In college I enjoyed most of my psych classes.
4: Do you have a fav school year? Elementary school years.
5: Are you a good student? I was, yeah.
6: Do you think homework is good or bad? I wouldn’t say it’s good or bad. I mean, I get seeing if you’re understanding then material and whatnot and applying it. I guess it depends on the amount assigned and what type of assignment it is.
7: Have you ever had a teacher who was really funny but had poor teaching skills? Yes.
8: Is your GPA high or low? It was high.
9: Do you like to particpate in conversations in the class room or are you the listener? I was definitely a listener. I haaaaated classes that made class discussion apart of your grade.
10: Do you take part in extra school events? (eg. Plays, sports, leadership, clubs)? I was in clubs in high school and the psych club in college, even serving as a board member.
Health
1: Do you need to lose or gain weight? I definitely need to put on some weight.
2: Have you ever had the swine flu? (H1n1) No. I remember being scared about getting it and that whole thing wasn’t even on the level of covid.
3: Do you like to go to the doctors? Nooo. I’ve had more than my share of doctor appointments of all different kinds all throughout my life. They still make me anxious and stressed out, they’re definitely not something I find enjoyable.
4: Have you ever puked in school or at work? I remember getting sick once in kindergarten and having to rush outside to the trash can.
5: Have you ever been extremely sick where you couldnt even leave your bed? Yes, I’ve experienced that several times.
6: Do you hate puking or does it make you feel better? I hate actually doing it, but afterwards I usually do feel better. There are times where it gets to the point where I wish I would just do it already and get it over with cause I know it’d help me feel better. That’s when I’m really not feeling well.
7: Have you ever coughed up blood? No.
8: Should you be eating healthier ? Yes.
9: Do you lie to your doctor? I downplay some things or not share certain things, admittedly. :X
10: Have you ever taken too much advils? No. That would make me sick.
Mental Health:
1: Do you have a mental illness? Yes.
2: Do you take anti-depressants? No.
3: Are you mentally stable? Uhhh.
4: Have you ever been misdiagnosed? Yes.
5: Do you think you have an disorder but havent been properly diagnosed yet? Maybe.
6: Is self diagnosing good or bad? I don’t see an issue with researching yourself and thinking you may have something, but it’s important to take that information to a doctor. However, sadly I know that not everyone is able to do that. And I also have a problem with doing that myself, which I think can cause unnecessary stress. I also think people tend to throw around labels and say they have something when they don’t. Gah, it’s a slippery slope.
7: Should we give more money to mental health research? Yes, absolutely.
8: Do you think everyone has a chance to over come their mental disorders? I think many can learn to better manage some of them, but I feel like they’re always going to be there.
9: Would you ever not date someone if they had a severe disorder? ( Schizophrenia,BPD, mood disorders)? I don’t know and I’m probably horrible for saying that. I have my mental disorders and I know it can be a lot for people to be around and handle. I just... I don’t know if I’d be able to be there for them in a way they might need ya know? I lack the experience. I can’t say no for certain. I think it would just really depend on the situation and if I learned more about it.
10: Does mental illness run in your family? Yes.
SEX
1: Virgin? Yes.
2: what age did you lose it? 3: Did you take sex ed? 6th grade, middle school, and a health and psych class my freshman year in high school.
4: Does size matter?
5: Whats your favorite poistions?
6: Does virginity exist? I believe so. I know some feel it’s not a real thing or a social construct, but to me it’s a thing. It’s someone who hasn’t had sex. When you have sex, you’re said to have lost your virginity and to me that just means in the very literal sense that you’re not a virgin anymore. I’m not referring to it as something deeper. Although, it can be for some people. And while I don’t think it’s like losing some part of yourself or something life altering, I personally feel like I would feel a change in some way. I also want to add that it’s something I want “lose” or share with someone special. I don’t know, man. I’m sure I’m not explaining it well. It’s just a personal thing.
7: Do you think sex is overated? I wouldn’t know.
8: Is making love and fucking different? One just sounds more romantic and slow and passionate and the other sounds rough lol 9: Is it important for both genders to understand eachothers bodies? Yeah.
10: If someone was a virgin and was raped, did they lose their virginity? If it’s not consensual or your choice then you can choose not to count it is how I see it. Like yes, technically they’ve had sex, but something so horrific and traumatic doesn’t count. Losing their virginity should be done their way, with someone they want to share that with. In the situation they were raped, they’re allowed to take their power and control back and count it when they do so with someone they want to do, consensually.

Happy 32nd Birthday Nobuhiko Okamoto!
Personal Note:
I’ve been preparing for a while because I wanted to make this with a lot more thought. Sorry for the length of this post. I spent quite a bit of time on it, but I didn’t realize it would get so long! He is one of my top favourite voice actors (both English and Japanese) ever. To me, he’s a relatable, awesome, and passionate inspiration. He puts his all into every role he does, and he never gives up no matter who tells him to.
I could probably go on about how much I like many of the roles he’s done, but that would be a whole other essay in itself. I even considered watching Corpse Party (the scaredy cat I am) because I heard he was in it. Yeah, I’m one of those people who gets drawn to anime when I figure out certain studios and voice actors are attached to it. I have watched a few episodes of some really bad anime because I heard he was in it. No regrets! Okay, maybe I have a few... I still haven’t watched them all though! I plan on watching a ton more, and that includes a few bad apples here and there.
Despite all the hurdles and adversity he faces, he overcomes it! He has had so many amazing roles, he sings, he’s good at shogi, and he’s just a good person. I respect him a lot. Honestly, I can’t word stuff too well, but I sincerely hope he continues working, maybe gets married and has kids (since he said he wanted to), and experiences all the happiness he deserves.
Table of Contents:
Top Roles (+ clips)
Trailblazer arrangement
Facts + Q&As
Music Recommendations
Additional Sources + other cool posts
Top Roles:
I watched to include even the ones that I didn’t watch entirely, so I put together a whole list. It’s generally not too strict in order, but I went from his good to his best. If I wanted to put a few words, I just included them in square brackets. In those, there will also be recommended clips if I feel the need to add any in.
* = ones that I haven’t watched completely (or up to its current point)
Rui Tatsumi* - Starmyu
Ivan Karelin* - Tiger and Bunny
Shin-ah - Akatsuki no Yona
[This character didn’t talk much, so he actually got to play a MOB character as well. I found this character kind of charming though.]
Mitsuo - Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
[He’s the one who dropped the hot dog. Rest in Pieces. This anime made me laugh, and even though this character barely appeared, he made me laugh every time he did. Recommended clip: “Glasses”]
Gladion* - Pokemon Sun & Moon
[He’s actually the perfect choice to play this edgy boi.]
Yumeji Fujiwara* - Yumekui Merry
[RIP the can]
Makoto Kashino* - Yume-iro Pâtissière
[I just started this one]
Mizuki* - Kamisama Hajimemashite
[I watched six episodes of this one.]
Rei Ogami - Code:Breaker
[This wasn’t a very good anime, it’s a mediocre manga, but I still enjoyed it.]
Nikaidou Harunobu* - 3-Gatsu no Lion
[I watched around 6-8 episodes of this one. This character is a pure round boi, and I like the way Nobu portrayed this character. Recommended Clip.]
Io Otonashi* - Acchi Kocchi
[I watched around 5 episodes of this one. His bishounen game is very strong.]
Takeru Fujiwara* - Prince of Stride
[These anime characters run like how I run from my life responsibilities and problems. His bishounen game is also very strong. The strong and silent type is always popular. Sadly, I’m the quiet and extremely frail and weak type.]
Shouta Kisa* - Sekaiichi Hatsukoi
[According to Tumblr, he has never done an R-rated (18+) BLCD, but he has been in some shounen-ai anime.]
Issac Foster - Satsuriku no Tenshi
[My reaction to this anime. Don’t worry, I’m following this to the end.]
Ryousuke Kominato - Diamond no Ace
Ryou Kurokiba* - Shokugeki no Souma
Age - Sakasama no Patema
[Yeah, that’s his actual name. If you name your child something that stupid, I would personally like to have a word with you. This movie was really nice though.]
Accelerator* - Toaru Majutsu no Index
[I had to include his laugh to this]
Jurai Andou - Inobato (Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de)
[And jail is just a building you live in! I can’t remember the context of this line.]
Kiyoharu Hyoudou - Welcome to the Ballroom
Yoichi Saotome* - Owari no Seraph
Eiji Niizuma* - Bakuman
[Recommended Clip]
Obi - Akagami no Shirayuki-hime
[When he looks into the mirror and realizes he’s missing his eyebrows.]
Takumi Usui* - Kaichou wa Maid-sama
Yuu Nishinoya* - Haikyuu
[Recommended Clip: ROLLING THUNDER!]
Rin Okumura - Ao no Exorcist
[He’s such a likeable protagonist. Recommended clip: Rin x Shiemi because they’re adorable]
Mikoto Mikoshiba - Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
[This character made me laugh so much. He and Seo are my favourites. I haven’t seen another amazing anime with both Miyuki Sawashiro and Nobu. They’re my two favourites. I hope to see them acting together eventually (even if Mikorin and Seo never really communicated). Thanks to Nobu, we have a voice to this madly embarassed bishounen. Recommended Clips: Mikorin Clips, Mixer Clip]
Katsuki “Kacchan” Bakugou - Boku no Hero Academia
[Bakugou might not always be my cup of tea as a character, but his voice made me like him somewhat anyway whether he’s an asshole or not. There are a few scenes in season three that hit me with mad feels,, but even during season one and two, Nobu aced this role. This role is what shot him up to one of my favourite voice actors. Recommended Clips: Rage moments, Kacchan vs Deku audio segment (scroll down a little for this Tumblr post), Salty Bakugou S1]
Karma Akabane - Assassination Classroom
[While Bakugou is one type of crazy, Karma is another. Honestly, he’s such a sly, cunning, and mischievous character, but that’s what we all like about him, right?]
Trailblazer Arrangement:
youtube
This is my first time transcribing a song and arranging it! I improvised and made up some stuff (mostly guitar solos that just didn’t fit as well logically on piano). I usually don’t like (actually, I kinda hate) transcribing because it’s basically like trying to copy down a book that someone reads aloud (and you can’t look at the text). But it was worth doing this! He’s definitely not my favourite singer, but I’d still listen to him.
I didn't want to go with an original score for this one because I felt like I wanted to improve a lot more as a composer and artist (as if I'm qualified enough to be called those terms). When I make one for him, I want to go all out.
Facts:
I found some other interesting facts online. There are quite a few different sources. I’ll try to list them below all the facts (but I might link them to the actual facts as well. There are a lot, so there’s that.
All [Nat Notes] will be put between square brackets “[these]”.
These are all from THIS POST:
After graduating from secondary school, he entered some voice acting training courses associated with his agency (Pro-Fit) to pursue his dream as a seiyuu.
To be able to pay for his training, he worked at a 7-Eleven and a post office.
His family is very strict and conservative.
He was into video games when he was younger, but his parents were against letting him play video games and ended up limiting him to a one-hour per day time limit [THIS POOR BOI]
[Regarding his gaming] his parents told him, “If you want to play games, you can play shogi.” This ended up being the reason he started playing shogi.
He is a practicing Catholic [ironic since one of his most iconic roles is playing the son of Satan]
He’s a 3rd dan ranked shogi player, and he once aimed to be a professional shogi player.
He has a huge love for sweets. I follow his blog, and a lot of his posts involve sweets.
“His favourite [candy bar] would be Black Thunder chocolate bars (same as Kamiya Hiroshi and Ono Daisuke), and at one point, he always ends up buying Black Thunder by the box, stocking up on it, and eating up to 10 bars in one day, that his agency decided to restrict him into eating just one bar a day.” [let the poor guy eat his chocolate]
He is easily bullied by other seiyuu [check out the original post which has gifs of his mishaps]
“[While recording] …he ran away from the mic, forgetting that he was wearing headphones connected to the mic and ended up messing up the recording room, and the staff had to rearrange everything.”
He’s a big fan of Pokemon [He now plays Gladion in Pokemon Sun & Moon]
These are from “More Nobu Facts”
“As a student, he used to fall asleep on the train and miss his destinations sometimes. He thinks that it’s really comfortable to take a nap there.” [Yeah, you say that until you somehow end up in the middle of nowhere and wonder where you are and why you even exist.]
“He suffers from hay fever in the spring. Said that the symptoms kill him.” [You and me both except mine are year-round and gradually getting worse.]
“He played with Lego bricks when he was a kid.” [If he’s the type of person who left out the bricks and made people experience pain because of it, I will personally leave Lego bricks outside his door. Those things hurt when they’re unexpected.]
“He loves the indoor life.” [don’t we all…]
“He read the Harry Potter series.” [I did too! Not that I remember any of it.]
“His cute, foreign Furby only speaks English. Noburin stated, “English is very hard.”” [HOW DO PEOPLE SLEEP KNOWING THEY OWN ONE OF THOSE? I WOULD BURN IT IF I GOT ONE.]
“In elementary school, the girl he liked gave him chocolate on Valentine’s Day. He said he felt like crying from the shock.” [I haven’t experienced that. Was he happy because it was that girl who gave him chocolate or because he got free chocolate?]
“He was hospitalized before when he was a child due to a bad cold (or maybe the flu).” [Well, that diet sure doesn’t help, and I doubt screaming all the time is good for you. Weirdly, I can’t say anything more than that because I do both too except I scream internally while he does it as his profession.]
He tends to get sick within the first two weeks of October, right before his birthday. [I wish you luck!]
He likes to watch lightning and thinks that it’s cool. [I’M SO SCARED OF THUNDER]
During the summer as a kid, he liked to catch cicadas and dragonflies, and play with water guns. [SAME DUDE]
He was in the badminton club during secondary school.
These are all from his Q&A! [Part 1], [Part 2], [Part 3], [Part 4]:
I’m not going to include quotation marks for this one for the most part. I changed some awkward phrasing. I left out some questions from the original posts as well. Check the sources out!

XD (I usually say something along the lines of, “Is that a caterpillar on your face? It’s so thick and bushy! It looks like you took hair from your head and put it on your eyebrow! Maybe you can’t grow facial hair because all of it goes to those eyebrows.”)]
What will you do when and if only you became an invisible man one day?: Secretly observe Sugita Tomokazu-san. [Well, alright then. Fangirls have some competition? More importantly, Nakamura has competition!]

Favourite season?: Spring. [I like winter because plants are dead (I have extremely bad allergies), snow, Christmas, my birthday, and New Year’s!]

How’s your tolerance to alcohol?: I can’t drink much. [I don’t drink]
What good books do you usually read?: Original works that are adapted into anime. [I don’t read a lot. I’m an illiterate fool.]
What do you buy at convenience stores?: Fresh premium caramel roll cake. [I wish they had those in Canada…]
Favourite place in the country?: Okinawa. [I gotta go there someday!]
What countries do you want to go abroad?: Italy. [He recently said he wants to go to Italy for gelato and to be honest, I relate. Europe has good chocolate and cheese from what I hear.]
What are the challenges to your trip destinations like?: Pickpockets like to snatch! [He better watch out for those vans that say “Free Candy!” They might be meant for kids, but he might just stumble in.]
Are you nervous in public?: Recently it’s been okay; still nervous during events. [I’m always nervous in public. I would like to attend an event by the end of my life though.]
What would you tell your past-self (10 years ago)?: “Don’t give up and eat your dinner properly!” [I tell that to myself now XD If I were to send a message to myself, it would be something along the lines of, “What you feel, what you think, and what you believe is important. Listen to yourself. At the end of the day, you will figure out what to do. Don’t be afraid of being alone, and don’t be afraid to wander. Loosen up.”]
What would you message to your future-self (10 years from now)?: “The you in his twenties is having lots of fun. Are you having fun?” [Message for me ten years from now: PLEASE TELL ME YOU AREN’T AS DEEP INTO VOICE ACTORS AND ANIMATION. I BEG YOU, GET A LIFE.]
If the world was going to perish in 24 hours, what would you do? Gather all my friends and family, and have a BBQ party. [I would just write something in case it resurfaces. I would want to write my thoughts, opinions, and experiences along with the people around me.]
Where do you want to work?: A place where I could grow. [Same!]
What are your thoughts when you look back at 2010? I issued a sex appeal to play [Usui], and worked hard to reach the targets! [From the amount of screaming fangirls, I think you did just fine.]
What is your current aim?: To be more playful and get more out of acting.
Finally, a message to the world: I’ll work hard from now on to make a voice that everyone will not have a hard time to listen to. Thank you for your support! [Thank you Nobu! You inspire a lot of people (including me) everyday!]
Additional Facts! [SOURCES WILL BE LISTED BELOW!]
He likes watching horror movies (especially with his friends Ryouhei Kimura, Kouki Uchiyama, and Yoshimasa Hosoya. Kouki is a scaredy-cat.) When watching a horror movie, he experienced scary unknown noises and used salt to ward away ghosts.

He loves sweets... a lot: - He’s a qualified patisserie - Where his love of sweets came from [I can also say that is a good portion of his blog]
He tried to be rebellious as a kid but got “clobbered” by his mom.
He would purposefully wear long-sleeves while in the hot recording room for “My Hero Academia” so that he would be agitated enough to play Kacchan!
He adds chocolate to his curry sometimes
He gave Ayane Sakura the nickname “Ayaneru”
He often celebrates fictional characters’ birthdays on his blog for series that he’s involved with!

Belle had Tuesday off, and she spent her time exploring the town, sharing an iced tea with Ruby at Granny’s and picking through the book selection at the local thrift store. She walked through the park in the afternoon, smiling at the sounds of local children playing on the swings, bundled up in scarves and gloves and colourful hats. The sun was out, frost sparkling on the ground, and she had her hands deep in the pockets of her coat, a scarf wrapped around her chin to keep out the cold. An old man was making his way towards her, wrapped in a long coat with a black felt hat on his head, white beard twitching as he approached one of the benches. Belle watched as he reached into the pocket of his coat, pulling out a book and promptly dropping it.
“Oh, let me get that for you!” she said hastily, trotting over, and bent to pick it up.
The old man smiled, bowing his head.
“Thank you, miss,” he said, in a low voice. “Not as limber as I used to be.”
Belle turned the book over in her hands.
“Lord of the Rings?” she said. “It’s been years since I read this.”
“I read it once a year, in winter,” said the man. “Sort of a ritual, you see. On sunny days like this I like to take some exercise around the park, sit on the bench until it’s too cold and then get a coffee at Granny’s. When you’re retired, it’s good to get out of the house.”
“What was your work?” she asked, and he smiled, his eyes crinkling.
“I taught at the elementary school,” he said. “Oh, years ago now, but I enjoyed it. I’ve seen the kids I taught grow up and have kids of their own. Makes you feel old.”
“Must have been rewarding, though, sharing knowledge and encouraging children to read and grow,” said Belle. “I had plans to be a librarian when I left college.”
“Oh?” he said, interested. “What happened?”
She shrugged.
“Life,” she said, a little gloomily. “Couldn’t find work, and had to move back with my dad. I’m working up at the hospital at the moment. Just helping out, but it’s enjoyable. Worthwhile, you know?”
“Ah,” he said. “I was in there not so long back with my hip. Wonderful staff. A little lacking in reading material, though. Mostly magazines.”
He lifted his book, with a somewhat rueful smile, and Belle chewed her lip thoughtfully.
“Well, maybe I could do something about that,” she said, an idea starting to take form in her mind. “It was lovely to meet you. I’m Belle French, by the way.”
He touched his hat, his beard twitching as he smiled.
“Alfred Prentice, at your service.”

The sunny weather didn’t last, the rain returning by Thursday and turning to sleet, but Belle was busy at the hospital and barely noticed. She had decided to take Mr Prentice’s comments about a lack of reading material on board, and so she had returned to the thrift store and bought all the decent-quality novels they had. Getting them to the hospital had meant persuading her father to give her a lift when he was out making deliveries, but as flowers were ordered for patients on a regular basis, they were able to kill two birds with one stone. The locker room now had three boxes of books stacked in a corner, and Belle had hunted around for something that she could use to transport them around the wards, eventually borrowing an old cart from the janitor. She hadn’t bothered to discuss the book collection with Zelena, instead going straight to Glinda South, who was Zelena’s senior. Glinda was a warm, pleasant woman, who could see the benefit to patients being able to access reading material, and was only too happy for Belle to run the scheme.
Belle was in the process of arranging books into genres in the patients’ waiting area, separating romance from fantasy, horror from history. She chewed her lip as she looked over the titles she had managed to gather together. I need more children’s books on this thing. The kids are sometimes in this place the longest.
“Here you go-o!”
Ruby’s sing-song voice made Belle look around, and she smiled as she saw Ruby standing with a wide grin on her face and a paper bag swinging from one hand.
“Pastrami with tomato and hot mustard, just as you like it.”
“God, you’re an angel,” sighed Belle. “I’m starving!”
“Figured you’d forget to eat lunch if I didn’t remind you,” said Ruby cheerfully. “Too much dedication’s a bad thing. You make my half-assy waitressing look bad. Take a break.”
Belle smiled, nodding, and stacked the pile of books she had been sorting on the cart. Ruby looked them over with interest as she handed Belle her sandwich.
“You running a library in this place?”
“Well, kind of,” said Belle. “I bought a bunch of books from the thrift store, and added some of my own - the patients don’t get to read unless someone brings in material, so I figured this would help.”
She bit into the sandwich, mouth watering, and let out a tiny moan of pleasure as the heat of the mustard and the salt of the pastrami bathed her tongue.
“That’s so good,” she said, in a muffled voice.
“Hey, Belle.”
Dorothy’s voice made her look around.
“When you’re done with lunch, could you bring some fresh linens to the kids’ ward?” she asked, flicking dark braids back over her shoulders. “Grace threw up again, and if I have to clean up another pile of vomit I think I’ll kill myself.”
Belle giggled.
“Not a problem.”
Dorothy sent her a grateful smile, eyes flicking to Ruby, and she nodded a greeting before stomping off in the direction of the children’s ward. Belle took another bite of her sandwich, noticing that Ruby’s eyes had gone very wide in her face.
“Who’s that?” asked Ruby.
“Oh, that’s Dorothy,” said Belle carelessly. “Nurse Gale to you.”
She gave Ruby a cheeky grin, and Ruby shook her head, huffing out air as she fanned herself with a hand.
“She could check me for a fever anytime,” she remarked. “How come I haven’t seen her before?”
“New in town,” said Belle. “I could ask her out for you, if you like. Couldn’t go any worse than the date you arranged for me.”
Ruby sighed.
“Okay, I admit Isaac was a disaster,” she said. “Don’t lose heart, okay? We’ll find someone who’s perfect.”
“And in the meantime I can pass on your fondest regards to Dorothy,” said Belle, with a grin.
“Oh no, don’t do that,” said Ruby hastily. “What if she doesn’t like me?”
“Only way to find out is ask.”
“You’ve never asked a girl out, have you?” said Ruby dryly. “It takes at least two years of politeness and mutual pining before one of you gets brave or drunk enough to make the first move.”
“Sounds way too complicated,” said Belle. “But have it your way. Maybe I can see if she wants to come on a girls’ night.”
Ruby perked up.
“That would be okay.”

Belle found that she had to bow out of the Friday night get-together when she was asked to work a double shift that weekend. An outbreak of flu was spreading through the town, and several of the hospital staff had been struck down, leaving everyone else overworked. Belle rushed along the corridor, carrying an armful of fresh linen and trying to ignore her aching feet. She had worked four days in a row, and hoped that no more of the staff would succumb to the illness. They were short-handed as it was, and things were only getting worse as the weather turned colder.
For most of the residents of Storybrooke, staying in their own homes and drinking plenty of fluids was enough, but this strain of the flu had been particularly nasty, taking its toll on the weak and sick, the young and the elderly. She bit her lip as she saw old Mr Prentice being wheeled along on a gurney, eyes closed above his white beard, looking drawn and tired. Wishing him a speedy recovery, she hurried along to the children’s ward, pushing open the door and almost knocking Dorothy on her back. Belle apologised quickly, but Dorothy shook her head.
“It’s okay, we’ve all been here too long, I think,” she said wearily, and glanced over her shoulder. “Especially him. Do me a favour and see if you can get him to go home and get some rest. The guy’s been here eighteen hours at least.”
Belle peered over her shoulder. Dr Gold was reading a chart at the end of little Grace Milliner’s bed and frowning. He looked exhausted, but she knew full well that he was always the first to arrive and the last to leave. Getting him out of there wouldn’t be easy.
“I’m done for the day, anyway,” added Dorothy. “Gonna go home and try to get a whole six hours of sleep before we do this again.”
She patted Belle’s shoulder and wandered off down the corridor, and Belle hurried over to Dr Gold’s side, setting down the armful of linen.
“You look like death,” she said, not unkindly.
Dr Gold glanced up. His eyes were dark hollows in his face, his cheeks drawn, but he smiled briefly.
“Miss French,” he said. “I had no idea you were still here. Shouldn’t you be at home?”
“You’re one to talk,” she said, and he shrugged.
“There’s too much work here.”
“Yeah, and it’ll still be here after you’ve actually had some rest,” she said firmly. “You know Dr Whale’s on shift now, right? Let him take over.”
“With new patients coming in every hour?” he said dismissively. “Don’t be ridiculous.”
He turned away, hooking the chart over the end of the bed and reaching over to feel Grace’s forehead. He frowned again, and Belle sighed.
“Look, you know you have to sleep sometime,” she said reasonably. “Sleep deprivation can lead to mistakes, everyone knows that.”
“I just need more coffee,” he said repressively. “If you want to be useful, why don’t you go get me one? And then you can go home, you look dead on your feet.”
He walked to the next bed, picking up the chart and fumbling it. Belle caught it before it hit the floor, and he sighed and ran a hand over his face.
“Go. Home,” she said firmly. “Eight hours, that’s all I ask. If you don’t rest, your immune system will be throwing a welcome party for that flu virus, and you know it. How much good is it gonna do your patients if you’re too sick to tend to them?”
Dr Gold’s face appeared to go through the five stages of grief, but eventually he sighed heavily.
“Fine, you win,” he said, in a defeated tone. “Get your coat.”
Belle blinked.
“My - my coat?”
“Well, if I’m leaving, so are you,” he said tersely. “Or are you too stubborn to take your own advice? I’m driving you home. Meet me outside the main entrance. Ten minutes.”
He stomped off with an air of irritation, and Belle gaped after him. He was driving her home?
