Now that you’ve watched episode 41, I wanted to ask how your Vax muse handled it? If you’re still processing, I totally understand. I know it’s a lot.
I’ve heard other writers theorize that Vax reacted so strongly to Gilmore’s near-death because the situation made him think of his mother and how he couldn’t be there with her when she died. The majority posit that Vax broke down like that, primarily, because he loves Gilmore so much.
I was just curious what your thoughts were on Vax’s inner workings during that scene--and before it, when Vax goes from 0-60 when he sees the looters going through Gilmore's Glorious Goods.
Also, in campaign, the night before they find Gilmore, Vax seems okay with going to bed after Keyleth senses Gilmore’s life force fading out in the city somewhere. Do you accept this as canon for your muse, or do you hc that something else happened that night? And if so…what? Either way, I’d love to hear your and your muse’s thoughts.

First of all, wow. When you said you wanted to send something in, I expected one or two lines, not an entire essay XD That being said, I am definitely not complaining at all, because I actually do have quite a few thoughts on how things were handled, and how they went down with regards to my portrayal of Vax. Thank you for sending this in, now please buckle up because we could be here a while.
I can definitely see where some people who theorize that he reacted so strongly because it reminded him of his mother's death and how he wasn't able to be there with her. And, while I do think that plays into it somewhat, as someone who has had Vaxmore brainrot for a long time even before I watched episode 41, I think the majority of his incredibly heated reaction came from his worry for Gil. and understandably so.
The fact that he went from relatively calm to 'I will gut you like a fish' over some looters really shows how much he cares for Gil, and I honestly love that.
As for them choosing to camp out for the night instead of going straight to Gil, I'm very glad you brought this up because it bothered me so much? I personally hc that Vax did stay there with the others, but he complained and worried the whole night (I mean Matt basically confirmed that he didn't sleep at all, so it tracks.)
Vax loves Gil so very much, and this episode is a prime example of that. Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.
