“Hello?” Gunwook’s voice rang out from her phone, yn froze for a second his voice was easily recognizable with how many times yn had watched his streams with Ricky. It caught up to her how wild the last two months had been with Ricky’s rise to internet stardom that now she was talking to someone she had watched for two years on and off.

“Hi!” Yn shook off the thoughts for an existential headache later, grabbing her mouse and accepting his ‘join world request’.

“Domains again?” He asked

“Yeah, I don’t really think there's anything else to do in multiplayer” Yn answered, while cursing hoyoverse for their lack of multiplayer content in her head.

“One Problem” nothing made Yn more nervous than that sentence, especially with his ‘uh oh’ tone’.

“What is it?” Yn ran though all the possibilities in her head of what could go wrong ranging from a computer crash to a house fire.

“I think I’m out of resin, gonna have to top up” Gunwook sounded embarrassed even though the phone while yn breathed out a sigh that was evenly full of relief and astoundment.

“Your buying primogems just for resin refresh?” Her voice sounded more annoyed than she actually was.

“Mean it's either that or I can’t claim any drops” Gunwook whined “I already spent all my primogems resin refreshes yesterday”. 

yn rolled her eyes even though he couldn’t see, “whale” she whispered close enough to her phone for him to hear.

“I heard that!” Gunwook cutely grumbled out and yn chuckled.

“You were supposed to! Now let’s play!”

Yn entered them into the Frozen Domain once again as he was obsessed with getting his ‘perfect’ Ganyu build. Even though in yn’s eyes it was the best character she’s ever seen

Yn and Gunwook continued to play genshin for an hour even fighting the weekly bosses.

“Fuck childe! No one likes him! not even his parents because he’s a stupid ginger bitch and I hope he dies alone in a ditch!” Gunwook laughed and yn’s arbitrary haterade for the pixel game character, which only made her continue. “I’m serious if I ever saw Childe I’d curb stomp his stupid head right off his body”.

After all their resin was spent they wished each other a sweet “goodnight” with stupid grins on both of their faces while ending the call.

Did the story in star rail get better in your opinion? I was catching up slowly but realized I should just wait for the next part to drop so I can binge the rest of the luofu arc since I heard it wasn't very good except for like one twist with the fox girl. I play the game casually but am surprised they didn't get more story content since there will be one planet per year which would be fine if there was exploration but there's not much to do other than ig companion quests?? Events but they aren't that interesting to me either. I do wonder how many people will start doomposting once they realize how casual the game is bc I've already seen less content creators stream it.

my conspiracy theory is that genshin doesn't do small quality of life improvements that ppl were complaining for years just so they could do them in hsr as a marketing ploy, to make youtube clowns be like WOWZERS!! hsr is so much better than genshin!! You don't need to do commissions!!!

about story idk? I don't think luofu is done yet? like yeah we had a boss fight where we punch a giant woman in the tits for 3 phases, but there are still kinda a lot of open questions. like they've made a point to say we didn't find fox girl, luocha was sus the entire time and nothing happened with him, etc. overall i think it was kinda on same lvl was jarilo plotwise. it was like. there. there were couple cool cutscenes. my main problem is that i would give more of fuck about ~reveals~ if characters had personalities. like jarilo plot was also boring, but seelie and bronya's lady and the trump romance was cute. and i'm sorry, but dan heng is so bland. like would ppl give a fuck if he didn't have a unique character model and looked like NPC#23, be real

tldr hsr looks like it was a cash grab calculated to last until fountain release and then just hibernate, passively making money on pretty characters, bc its much easier to make hsr character than genshin's combat and animations wise. then next year they can release new planet in genshin's dead period before next region, rinse repeat profit

So we already see Simon's killer setup in the show, right? 3 monitors (one vertical, probably discord xD) a headset, probably has a mic there somewhere too. So of course, if you're also similar, you two will be gaming together.

And if you're streaming even better!

Simon would 100% be a guest on your streams more often than not. Personally don't think he himself would stream, but he loves joining you.

Your fanbase loves him too! His sassy one-liners especially. You don't even have to tell them he's with you, they'll pick up on it instantly, be that by hearing him or just seeing you face, smiling or facepalming at him(if you have facecam of course).

Of course there's a lot of different games you two play. I'm gonna give examples of games I personally play but I'm sure you'd play even more of them.

Minecraft, for example. I feel Simon would be the redstone genius, I mean come on! You'll have automated sorting, farming, mobfarms, etc before the first nightfall it feels xD

He would also probably be the one pulling off crazy 'cheats', aka tactics to kill mobs and basically speedruns the enderdragon xD

Overwatch, or other fps games, could either be him carrying you, or you carrying him. Really just depends on the day.

I personally either play tank or dps (Rammattra or Junkrat), but I feel Simon would be pretty well-versed in all roles. I can see him being a Widow just to piss off people by being extremely good.

I can also see him, if he's support, being Ana and only using his nano boost on you, much to the dislike of your teammates. But I mean c'mon, you're his S/O and he's a little gremlin who likes to piss people off xD

Genshin anyone? (not the toxic weird ones, though. those can stay away please and thank you :))

He'd probably be at AR 60 waaaay before you, so I can see you starting Genshin on stream and him basically baby-ing you and telling you what to do until you get AR16 and unlock co-op, and then he'll help you unlock and explore the entire world in like a day.

He would also help you beat bosses, and farm artefacts. You barely have to move a muscle at all really, he's already done with it.

He'll have all the characters too (if by gacha nobody knows, I mean it's Simon). He'll also send you so many primos and basically pay for all of your characters and things you want. (cough sugardaddy cough)

Of course, streamers don't just play games. Or like, games like that where you have to do a lot of fighting.

ItTakesTwo is always a ride, no matter who plays it. So of course, when you two play it, whoooo boooooy things go down xD

Simon will try his best to keep calm and be patient, but after like 10 minutes on one puzzle of course he'll get a little agitated

If you then respond back with the exact same energy... hope nobody is wearing headphones because it can get kind of explosive, but hey it's ItTakesTwo, so what do you expect?

Of course, on days where you don't realyl fee llike it, Just Chatting streams are perfect. Just hagning out, with chat of course, doing whatever. Working on your own things but also answering questions or something. They don't happen that often, I'd say maybe only once a month or so. Chill music in the back, chat themselves a little slower.

I've pulled out my laptop to write this one lol, this'll probably be a longer post.

It started out as an obligation. It's got to be more than 3.5 years ago at this point, but I never lived for myself, I lived for everybody else in my life. And to think this was over a group of shitty friends who I walked my ass back to like a beaten dog, loyal to death in a very literal sense, looking back that person who died was a fool, but it means that I am still alive.

It never stopped being an obligation, but eventually I lived for spite. Getting left for dead by that friend group meant that I had to shape up as a person, meant I knew I had to be better, and if I was going to get fucking kicked out of that stupid friend circle then by the gods was I going to thrive, and I think half of me expected I wouldn't make it more than a week. I did, considering that was roughly 3 years ago.

I think I accidentally stumbled on my own little cure for depression in that short blip, because I found that actually trying to foster new friendships, get a handle on my filter and my actions, and process my emotions made me feel human again, even if it was out of spite. For years I felt like I was heeled at peoples feet, and despite having fallen back into those relationships since then, I realized that getting better was actually possible. The shit side of that epiphany was that I never lived for spite, I was still living for the standards of others.

I've also always been in sport, working hours every day for training and while I've always taken it somewhat too lightly, I took it as an outlet. Not improving for the standards of others, but using others as a ruler for my own standards of myself. If other athletes went some speed up a hill, I wanted to be just a little bit faster up a hill than them, etc. Training hurts like a bitch, but I made it my meditation, because even if the training hurts like hell, it only hurts a little bit each and every moment, and every hour passes a little bit faster. This kind of "meditation," even if it sounds a bit cringe in revising this writing, was something I had to force my brain to ignore somewhat, since most people (including myself) normally don't just seek out pain because it's fun. Not only is it somewhat meditative, but training for a sport is a very distilled version of chasing your goals, since there's an active hierarchy for how well you're doing, and like pursuing any goal it takes days on days of working for little moments that all add up.

Living for myself actually started with me going a little bit crazy (as well as one ex who taught me that I could be worthy of love, and that genshin players aren't all unshowered (jokes ofc)), and that was with crazy talk was between myself and the mirror. Joy above, I was talking to myself in the mirror. All jokes asides, it helped me get more in touch with myself, talking through my emotions, feeling and seeing the pain and joy splayed against my face, and it reduced all of my unfiltered and scattered thoughts into one stream of unprocessed trauma to talk about in my mirror stained with the remnants of hard water. The rest of that mirror talk was the cliché stuff, giving myself compliments and trying my hardest to believe what I was saying, trying to talk through what I thought I did well each day and thinking of how I could improve, etc. Trying to tell myself I deserved forgiveness and deserved to value and claim my life as my own was impossible, but you can't just talk to your reflection and get past that kind of trauma.

What helped me figure out how to live for myself and live for my future was to just start fucking around. I got closer to friends, wallowed in my own sadness, played video games shamelessly and without having "earned it" from a days work, kicked rocks in back alleys, read good fanfiction, processed my transition goals, and had fun. I hooked up, I hurt people, and the lesson I tried to take away from all of those times wasn't only a reflection on who I am, but first and foremost how I tried. I raced hard, trained harder, and didn't earn a single medal for my entire competition season last year, and I realized I needed to train harder, I saw the reflection in the effort of my training. Most importantly, I did the things I wanted because that's what I wanted to live for. I didn't slog through hours upon hours of social studies homework, mainly because it was in French, but also because I didn't want to do it, and I knew I'd pass better than a 50% with the grades I had, and I knew that if I tried to force myself to break my back over Shakespeare in the mental condition I was in, I'd have probably jumped back to the mental space I was in during paragraph 2.

My trauma started as my motivation to get better, but eventually it became a different but equally driving motivator to heal. My training helped me learn the effort and drive required of me to improve and progress in what I choose, and it taught me that healing would be hard, suck balls, and be long, but the time would pass anyways. My fucking around showed me what made life worth living, showed me the boons of my survival, and it was also fun to play my funny block game :]

This bit of personal brain vomit is deeeeeefinitely all over the place, but I hope it helped :]]]]] TL;DR: First I learned to improve myself, then I realized I couldn't just improve myself for others, then I realized I needed to force my brain to improve for my own sake, then I learned to listen to myself, then I realized I actually need to live the life I wanted to live, and not live as a husk of myself.

I'm very sorry to ask something like this, I've really been struggling with this question, and I wanted to ask the combined wisdom of the people on this site

I would like to know why you keep going, and what drives you to keep living. I know there are a lot of reasons to stay alive and enjoy life, I can think of a few that personally resonate with me, but I really want to know what your reasons are

2025 Plans Ahead

Happy New Year! As of this writing, it's now 2025 in most of the world! Of course, there's a lot of new changes ahead for not only my stories, but also other plans ahead! So as always, here's my plans for 2025 ahead! It's not much of a road map, but my wishlist on what to do other than writing.

So let's start with some writing news. Obviously, Virtual Lycan will be coming back next week on Royal Road from its holiday break while Twin Minds and Artificial Fantasy will be back in writing sessions in the coming days. It will take a while for me to finish some chapters, but I promise they will be back this month as early as possible. Until then, I'll let you know through the usual social media channels.

I can't say much about them. However, I can tell you the first arc of Virtual Lycan is about to reach its climax and there's some big news regarding Twin Minds. Again, stay tuned in Royal Road via an Author's Note for details.

While we're on the subject of writing, I've been cooking up some original one-shots last year. It might take a while for them to finish, but I assure you, they will be ready along with the Dreamwidth blog I'm preparing (yes, it's still in progress and I apologize for the lengthy delay... T_T). Don't worry, they won't affect too much of my stories since they're mostly experimental stories I want to write without turning them into full stories. It's the same with fanfictions, though I do them rarely recently.

Next are the social media updates.

If you missed out, X (or Twitter, I'm still calling it Twitter. Don't @ me) was becoming a mess thanks to you-know-who. So there's a lot of doomscrolling due to their faulty algorithm and AI stealing artwork posted in the tweets. And that's not even adding all of the useless features and removing the good ones from the site. Because of that, I stopped posting artwork and chapter updates there. I still tweet and retweet some stuff there, but I've moved those updates to other sites including good ol' Tumblr.

If you guys don't know, I sometimes streamed on Twitch years ago just to enjoy Ragnarok Online while sharing my experience with you. But I stopped due to my potato laptop among my writing obligations. That's why I didn't stream my announced Pokemon Platinum Nuzlocke back then.

But now, that all changes!

Without disclosing anything, I've updated to an old brand new gaming laptop! Which means I'm ready to go back to streaming!

This time, I won't be playing only Ragnarok Online. I will be playing other games along with Hoyoverse games (except Genshin because OH GOD, the GB on that game!) in an irregular schedule. It might take a while to adjust things here, but I want to try something new along with writing. Speaking of which, you can also join me in a live writing session along with some writing sprints with me. Though this is mostly meant for gaming (since I still use my old potato laptop for posting and other important writing stuff that I can't do here without sacrificing some space), I'll be mostly typing on 4thewords and Google Docs but don't expect to get spoilers from upcoming chapters of my stories. You will get sneak peeks, but that's it. Just a heads up that this laptop doesn't have a webcam and ASMR microphone (to catch this wonderful sound of my keyboard), so no facecam on my future streams.

But I am preparing something. I just need to learn a new software...

As for YouTube, I have mixed feelings about cross-streaming or posting VODs there. But I'll see what I can do in the near future.

Blog update End of September 2023

Hey everyone and maybe even newcomers to my tumblr blog!

Usually every few months I post a status update of anything and everything I've been doing as time goes by the time that we cannot control.

Let me start off by saying that as of writing this, I'm tired so I won't have much energy and need to sleep.

First, I will confess that I have been on a procrastination vacation. Things in real life right now have been affecting my mood to live stream and produce content efficiently, however I have been very happy this whole time. I am starting to finally work more, i had too much free time on my hands and spent all of them playing genshin impact and other new games that have recently come out.

I am sorry in advance for not posting any new content, sharing my smash ultimate custom content, or even keeping everyone up to tabs on my hobby life. The truth is that I am lazy and wanted to spend more of my time relaxing and doing stupid things like neglecting my health and time to have fun playing video games.

Thing is, a long time ago I've been working nonstop on content and live streams, artwork, the usual.

While that made me extremely happy at the time, years later I finally went back on what I've missed out on.

Soon I will return with more health and self care, more content shortly will return, and I'll be back for real like I did for all these years.

There's two more things I want to address for this update life of mine.

A brand new 2D metroidvania platformer called Nyaruru Fishy Fight has popped up to me on steam. This game has a style similar to Rabi Ribi, rabi ribi is one of my favorite indie games of all time. So it has to be good!

This game is fantastic! Very fun, adorable, and I admit almost as perfect as rabi ribi!

Nyaruru is actually a sequel to a different game called Nyakori's Rabbit Doll.

In that game, you navigate and try to survive in a top down puzzle game like in those horror rpg games. The typical second game sequel that changes an entire genre.

If you enjoyed rabi ribi's story and slightly even remotely care about the story of nyaruru before playing either game, it would be a good idea to get both of them.

As for the whether you should play the first or second game, that's up to you. I played the second game first and only played the original game and it's dlc afterward. But both nyakori's dlc chapter, and nyaruru's story is sooo....good. So damn good I feel emotional about it.

I love nyaruru and want to play that game again a lot. And it's actually shorter than rabi ribi too!

The last thing for me to talk about is that I still plan to procrastinate until I have finished and completed a few things that are very important to me and will a strong impression of my channel themes and stance as a whole.

I have to finished a lot of animations I am sure many people will enjoy, afterward I might try to compose a theme song for them when I get tired of using different franchise video game songs, sonic, mario, ect.

Some new artwork thumbnails, a 4k youtube social media wallpaper banner, some additional artwork to push myself towards future content creation.

And another update to Crypt of the Literature Club Expanded and Enhanced steam workshop mod for crypt of the necrodancer! This update will include visual polish fixes to many sprites such as UI, statue's, player sprites, items, and more to a cute apealing artstyle. that update will also include the finished bestiary displays of the characters, and a classic style skin return from the original mod before it was removed.

And that's it! That's everything I wanted to talk about today. I might share another tumblr update blog around fall or winter. I always appreciate everyone who willingly stuck around! I care about all of my viewers and participants regardless.

lots of streams together! he wont wish for a character without you, he claims youre his good luck charm. (he loses most of the 50/50s.)

will help you do any quest! as long as he wants to, and its one that he knows how to do. so maybe not ANY quest, but hes trying his best.

he may be annoying with strangers in co-op domains, but any character you want to play you can. no questions asked, hell switch immediately.

he does more damage than you but hell still say that you did all the hard work and hes proud of you <3

ITTO - THE FORTNITE STREAMER

“wow you did so much damage just now, you absolutely carried me! thank you, i love you. :)”

the best part about itto being a fortnite streamer is hes not even good at the game.

he tries his best, really he does. but somehow those cracked 12 year olds have got him beat.

has spent an embarrassing amount of money on the game, but you can tell how much he appreciates every item hes acquired.

plugs his creator code CONSTANTLY. hes gotta make that money hes spent back somehow!

whenever he has a really bad loss he just blames it on stream sniping because he can. yeah i basically turned him into ninja, whoops!

“oh my god bro again? you know what, reported for stream sniping!”

you and itto are truly a dynamic duo. youre actually decent at the game and hes entertaining to watch.

chat loves when you play duos games together, and you both do too! (even though hell take all the credit if you win.)

his favorite item is the chug cannon, mostly because he wants to make sure youre full health and shield at all times <3

has made many sacrifices of his characters life in you honor, even if you still dont end up winning, you appreciate it.

lots of moments from his streams have been clipped and put into funny moments montages and they all go straight to his neverending ego.

THOMA - THE VARIETY STREAMER

i couldnt see thoma sticking to one main category, i feel like every stream hes doing something new, and hes somehow pretty good at anything he tries out.

his commentary is really what gets people to stick around for his content, he can make anything sound interesting.

think of him as a steamer like rtgame! hes got really fun sims and hitman series, games you dont think could be made funny, but then he does and its overall a really great time.

hes got so many inside jokes from all the games hes played, youve got to be there for every stream otherwise you miss out heavily.

nobody even knew what he looked like for awhile because he didnt have a facecam, but once he started using one his viewers went up by 100k, no joke.

“where is that from? oh, its an inside joke, you probably wouldnt get it.”

thomas viewers are literally so jealous of you. youve pulled the ultimate man right there.

honestly i dont see you appearing on his steams much other than for the occasional mario party game.

i feel like since you never really appear most of his viewers didnt even know you two were dating until those random streams happen. everytime it does twitter goes wild with “THOMA HAS A S/O?” and half the replies are also freaking out while the other half is like “you didnt know?” its a mess every time.

most likely youre in thomas chat instead of in the room, and you tend to instigate chat into spamming emotes a lot and getting it turned to sub only mode. its honestly pretty funny.

one time you walked into his room to ask if he wanted mcdonalds and he was watching paint dry. this had been going on for 4 hours. you didnt ask questions.

SHENHE - THE CALL OF DUTY PLAYER

i think call of duty lobbies are the only place on earth that can handle shenhe if shes genuinely angry.

shes a toxic gamer for sure, dont get on her bad side.

shes gotten pretty good at the game too, shes one of those people who buys the new game everytime one comes out instead of just playing the same version.

chongyun will make appearances at times, they played mario party together once and it was hilarious. (for the viewers at least, maybe not chongyun though LMAO)

chongyun won and she 1v1ed him in nuketown right afterwards. (hes never won against shenhe again)

chat doesnt understand how you can handle shenhe half the times, but truthfully she just has her own way of expressing her emotions.

for example, she broke one of your controllers playing once, and she drove her ass to best buy at almost midnight to go get you a new one, along with a note saying nothing but “sorry :(“ in the prettiest handwriting youve ever seen.

sometimes you even make her angry on purpose just because its funny, and you know no matter how much it may look like it, she could never get mad at you.

i know i said shenhe was a cod streamer, but imagine also playing apex with her alright? definitely a loba main, and shes literally just as toxic on here as she is on call of duty. 

probably has had 3 xbox accounts banned already.

Gives me F2P player vibes at the start of the game 😭 He only played because he's the actor for the series

there’s just something nice about having xiao as a boyfriend, who is also a streamer. most of this is really just admiring him and his quirks when he plays, his jibes and interesting reactions, and also that nonstop attention he to give to you regardless of what he’s doing (which takes place especially when he streams)

xiao is a well-known one, in fact, and his schedule is usually to stream three times a week for about a couple hours at a time. he grew in popularity after playing a game with a friend (@tartartaglia on tweetch go subscribe) and people really liked how chill he was. once he turned on his video for the first time, you can probably guess more and more people watched him. his subscribers take all that they can from seeing him live because he’s just that type of person to pull in a crowd without even trying. or noticing.

he’s good looking, his voice is soothing to listen to, and he’s a good gamer. xiao knows strategies for certain games or even just brute forces his way through others. either way, he’s a popular choice for a team player.

his commentary is also pretty entertaining. he could be playing a horror game and start ranting, in a monotone voice mind you, about how the ghost is literally making his gameplay harder (which it’s supposed to… anyways). he’s not particularly afraid of jump scares and stuff, just a little startled at times. though, xiao also doesn’t yell—he just slightly raises his voice.

“and i have to run because you’re breathing down my neck like an asshole and I can’t stop or else i’ll lose. fuck shit.”

“hey ghost, can you shut the hell up? i’m trying to hear the damn mechanism.”

he also lowkey rage quits but it’s not in a fiery way, more like… cold…

“screw this game.” *square dies again when hitting a spike, exhales in exasperation while running a hand through his hair ”i will throw this computer into the fucking sun—“ *dies again and slams forehead on the table*

or he could be playing the most wholesome game that doesn’t seem to match his aesthetic. to be honest, he’s playing these games most of the time

“oh my god—guys they have tomato plants. i’ve always wanted a tomato plant.”

“they have cats? i’m playing this instead, childe can play genshin on his own.”

the chat is surprised to hear his obvious infatuation for small animals and things deemed to “cutesy” for him but they love the stark contrast from his demeanor. another thing they also didn’t expect was how soft he was for his s/o.

xiao says more than he would like about you and this is because he doesn’t even notice that he talks about you. like people know he’s dating someone, there’s always food or water being handed to him from the side and a voice calling his name in the background. but you’ve never shown up on stream once, he’s just hinted at the fact you’re together. it keeps some fans off his back but also keeps your relationship a but more away from the public eye.

“who am i making this avatar look like? just someone.”

he feels bad for not being able to be with you while he streams and you’re just laying on your bed a waiting for him or on his gaming couch which is out of the camera’s view. he does look over from time to time when it’s not noticeable on camera (it is, his chat is too nice to say anything about it in the moment but tease him later because they know you’re there)

so then he starts doing streams with his camera off sometimes. no one minds, they only ask if his hair is up or down to know if they missed anything (smh). during these streams he’ll pull you into his lap and let you stay there, head resting on his shoulder and you can either be on your phone or napping

as mentioned, he doesn’t yell so you don’t mind what he plays because he still has to do commentary. xiao actually appreciates when you’re this close to him because you’re also a “safety barrier” when he plays more suspenseful games. when there are jump scared you notice how he places a free hand on your back to push you closer to him.

one time he accidentally turned the camera on while he wanted to turn his mic off to talk to you and take a little break. he turned the mic off but people could see you and he was soft. like full on SOFT. no one could see your face since he was cupping it with his hands.

“are you comfortable, love?”

he doesn’t say much on a daily basis, including in his streams, but the tenderness his words hold directed at you is heartwarming. then he notices the chat going faster and faster.

"Do you have to do this now?" Kenma asks.

He starts the countdown; there are less than ten minutes left before the stream starts. He switches the window to troubleshoot one of the settings before checking the stream link works on the various social media sites.

You?

You're braiding his hair.

"I just want to do something special for this stream. It's my second one as your girlfriend."

"You don't have to do anything special."

"Please just let me do this."

Kenma sighs and does a sound check. A few people in the chat say they can hear him. He tells you to speak into the second mic, which is clipped on your shirt. He got it specifically for you.

"Mic test. Testing," you say and Kenma gives you an okay.

The braids are done and Kenma can't see your mischievous smile. He can't tell the difference since it's similar to his usual hairstyle: half up and half down.

You crouch behind his gaming chair and slowly unzip your backpack.

"Hey, try these on," you tell him, slipping a pair of black gloves with gold trim over his hands. They reach up to his elbows.

"Y/n, what are you doing?" he asks without looking up. He squints his eyes at the chat and you're thankful they're distracting him.

Three minutes are left until the stream starts. You pull out a blue and white coat from your bag. The sleeves are short but the coat is long with a golden edge along its hood.

You take his hand and put it through a sleeve.

"What are you doing?"

"It's a gift," you tell him. "My first one for you. I want to show it off to everyone."

Kenma turns his hand over to investigate the gloves and looks down at the coat. "Wait a minute. Is this–"

"Here, put this broach near your neck."

"That's a Geo Vision."

"Hurry up! The stream is about to start!" you rush him, buttoning up his coat.

"If you're doing this because of the last stream, I already said I was sorry–"

"You know I couldn't get him on his rerun banner. I got his weapon on max refinement and everything! This will"– a laugh finally slips out –"make me feel better."

Kenma reaches for the gloves but you hold his hands down. He attempts to twist your arms to escape but your grip is firm.

There are three seconds left.

"Y/n! Stop! Just let me–"

"Please, Kenma?" you plead. "He's my favourite character and I didn't get him."

The stream starts and the camera catches you both standing with your arms twisted around each other. You and Kenma sit down.

"Welcome to my stream," he recites. "I'm Kodzuken. This is my girlfriend Y/n and today I'm…"

Kenma looks at you and you bat your eyelashes at him with an innocent smile. He grimaces as he rubs his temples.

"... going to play Genshin Impact dressed as Albedo."

Bonus:

After the stream ends, Kenma removes the coat and gloves and hands them to you.

"Why did you even want to get Albedo?" he asks.

"Oh you know…" you play it off. "I need a character with a lot of damage and he'd be a good fit with my other characters."

reader impact || first meeting

series masterlist characters: xiao, albedo genre: fluff summary: a game has been released entitled genshin impact, consisting of otherworldly abilities relying on the basic elements of nature. the game follows the story of an interdimensional traveling twin in search of their other half. along this journey, they meet different characters that live in this world. including you. notes: have i read a few genshin impact x game character reader stories and impulsively decided to make one too? maybe. you can't prove anything. i don't know if this will be a series but we'll see :D

xiao's playthrough -

xiao, named as alatus on his streaming platform, has made himself known as a gaming streamer with an awkward personality and blunt words.

he's the type of streamer who wouldn't have a set type of game and would, instead, play whatever his viewers recommended.

valorant? sure, he'll try it out.

hitman? why not?

animal crossing? it's a complete 180 from the other games, but sure.

when one of his viewers recommended genshin impact, he was quick to say yes and search for the game.

once the game finishes downloading, he quickly begins the game.

once the opening cutscene passes, he compliments the overall aesthetic of the game, pointing out the smaller details such as the footprints made by his character and the sound their clothes make when they move.

as always, his expressions are quite monotone to a point where it seems nothing draws his attention towards the game.

one of his mods, however, knows xiao well enough to where he knows which character he would like.

they convince xiao that the game is worth sticking with towards the second half of chapter 1, act 1.

he doesn't understand but he trusts his mods so he promises to continue.

it takes a few hours, especially because of the grinding, but a few streams later he's finally made it.

after fighting a one-sided argument with cloud retainer, he immediately begins his trek to the wangshu inn. and yes, trek, he enjoys walking/gliding through the world of teyvat rather than fast traveling everywhere.

he walks up the stairs to the top floor of the inn, resting his hands in his lap as the cutscene begins.

"to the blind, everything may not be as it appears..."

xiao is normally stoic during games, even ones with scenes made to fluster the player and catch them off guard.

but not this time.

once xiao's character is faced with yours, he just stops. his chat is spamming messages, asking if he's okay and if he's actually emoting for once.

he just stares at your character for a good five minutes.

and trust me, at least half of his viewers clipped that.

"... who are they?"

that was his only question after those minutes of silence. never before had he been attached to a character within the first few minutes of meeting them. his mind is racing and all he can think about is how amazing your character design is and how nice your voice is and how cool your character is and--

oh right, he's streaming right now...

anyway, the more your conversation goes on, the more he loves your character.

you're just so sassy and snappy but he loves you either way.

once you turn away with your back towards the camera, he just stares.

he stares at the intricate tattoo on your exposed arm and the mask hanging off of your belt.

and then you're gone.

his face drops so quickly and his viewers are very quick to point it out. he grimaces once paimon starts talking and he's very tempted to just speed through her dialogue.

he just wants to see you again.

once he hears from verr goldet that you've never smiled (at least around her), he immediately turns to the camera and says, "we better make them smile in this game."

once he finds out about your favorite food, he's already asking his viewers if he's able to get the recipe for it.

the next time he gets to talk to you, his face just lights up once he sees your character standing on the balcony.

however, once his characters tell you about rex lapis's death, his heart sinks when he hears how sad your voice becomes, even if your tone is still as harsh as before.

he gets all sad again when the quest ends and he has to wait to unlock the next archon quest.

he ends the game there and decides to spend the last few minutes talking to his viewers.

"i'll stream genshin again soon."

his viewers all know it's only because he met you.

albedo's playthrough -

albedo often does art streams and the occasional science-y stream.

if he does games, he mainly uses them to admire the art/mechanics of the gameplay.

genshin impact was one of those games he decided to play on his own solely because of the beautiful scenary.

(and the opportunity to draw more characters).

he's definitely the player that cares about elemental reactions above all else. pretty much every character he uses is built for elemental damage instead of physical.

most of his genshin streams are him walking around teyvat and pointing out the scenary.

he was definitely excited for the dragonspine event because that meant a better view of teyvat!

what he wasn't prepared for, however, was the reveal of a new character: you.

he isn't too into looking at the updates for genshin on his own, so he didn't find out about who you were until his stream asked about it.

he decided to react to the newest updates live since his chat seemed excited to hear his input.

once he pulled up the latest update details, he spent a few minutes talking about the new subzero mechanic.

but once he scrolled down to the characters... OH BOY

he's able to keep his composure but he definitely spends longer talking about you.

he almost gasped when he saw you were the chief alchemist of mondstadt.

combine that with the fact that you rely on elemental damage instead of physical...

your honor, he's fallen hard.

he'll put a countdown on stream to when your character and event drops, even on his non-genshin streams.

speaking of those streams, on the week just before your event, his streams will all be based around you and the information he's seen on you.

his art streams will consist of you and how he thinks your attacks will work just based on the description (he purposely avoided all pictures of your attacks for this stream).

his science-y streams would probably be based on your element.

once your event drops, that's the only thing he'll stream until it's over.

your assistant used to be his favorite character to play as but they just never clicked. it's not like he hates your assistant, it's just he didn't immediately fall in love with them.

his party definitely has your assistant in it, though.

he would have normally taken his time to look around dragonspine and admire the new scenery, but he couldn't help but speed through it until he finally gets to see you onscreen.

once the cutscene officially introduces you in front of a canvas, he's internally panicking.

you like art too?! and science?! how perfect can you be?!?!?!

he will genuinely feel bad when he scares the hilichurls because he knows that that's what you were sketching.

"who are you? why did you alarm them?"

NOW HE FEELS EVEN WORSE

even when you tell him you've finished sketching, he wants to make it up to you :((

if he were able to, he would've lured more hilichurls to let you sketch more.

some people in his chat would probably spam him to skip your dialogue because it's so wordy, but that's the exact reason why he listens to it all.

he likes listening to your character ramble on, especially because you have a soothing voice.

anytime your character does their idle animation where you give life to something, he will always let it play. even if your dialogue is finished before the animation, he would not progress until it's completed.

once your character asks for help, he would immediately agree before you finished your sentence.

man just wants to spend more time with you.

he likes staring at the tattoo on your neck whenever the camera is close to you. he just thinks it's really pretty on you.

once your other nonplayable assistant begins talking, he'll skip through the dialogue. he doesn't care if it goes more in depth into this world's alchemy, he just wants to hear it from you.

"hmm, looks like the potion's ready. i'll try a little first."

"please don't..."

he doesn't want you to try it just in case it hurts you :(

anytime he is allowed to walk freely with you around, he'd definitely put his traveler character next to you for a few minutes and just let you two stare at each other.

someone asks him why he spends a few minutes doodling on his desk when you talk.

he shows them the notebook that he had been writing notes in. it's filled with little doodles of you and some more information you give on the world of alchemy.

for future streams the involve you, he'd set up another camera to show the notes and doodles he's making about you.

sometimes he'll spend a few minutes on a single section where the camera is focused on you just to recreate the picture in the notebook.

he absolutely loves whoever planned out the camera angles because of how cute you look in every one of them.

he definitely gets a bad vibe from rosaria when she hints at the fact that you may be using alchemy against him.

he will defend you and alchemy to his grave!

that one scene where you create a flower in front of you is one he will always treasure.

he makes sure someone clipped that moment just so he can draw that, make it a print, and put it on his wall.

since most of his viewers most likely consist of artists, he will encourage them to draw you and send him fanart. he will put them all on a wall and dedicate every picture that goes there to you.

"if i one day lose control... destroy mondstadt... as well as everything around it..."

"huh?"

"will you be there to stop me?"

"wait... no."

if people were only listening to that portion, they would still be able to hear the pout on his face.

he'll end the game there but change his stream into an impromptu art stream.

he will only be drawing you in nice situations to distract himself from the fact that there is something going on with you.

That was the ending message. The last thing you'd ever see of the game. Billions around the world had scrambled to finish their playthroughs to watch the very last livestream Mihoyo would ever send- at least for Genshin Impact. Who knows what other games there would be. Like the new addition to Honkai Impact: Guardian Trail

The livestream was bittersweet. Every character was showcased. From all of Mondstat to all of Khaenri'ah, including every dead character being featured. All the voice actors had been gathered and gave their farewells, each leaving with a heartfelt message.

At the end of the livestream the devs of the game made an appearance.

"Due to popular demand, the game will still run after you finish but there will be no new content. Events will be rerun and no new world quests, hangouts or characters will occur. You can continue on your current account or have a fresh start. We thank you for play Genshin Impact. Goodbye Genshin Impact and goodbye Travelers."

And then it cut to black. One last Goodbye flashed on the screen before the stream died, leaving billions devastated yet content. I was among those billions. Years spent playing the game, investing in characters and equipment. And now we've reached the end. Lumine and Aether had finally been reunited and were headed to their next adventure.

I let out a sigh and leaned heavily against my chair, staring at the Goodbye and reading it over and over again until it didn't even look like a word anymore. I should get up soon. I had chores to do. I wasn't a teenager with no responsibility anymore. There were dishes that needed to be washed, clothes that needed to be cleaned. Just as I was about to get up from my desk a ding rang out from my computer.

I debated on if I should open it. If I did, who knows how long I'd push back being responsible. But if I didn't, the curiosity would eat me alive…

Against my better judgement I looked to see where the ding came from. After a bit of looking I came to the Genshin launcher, which showed a picture of the twins in a white flower field, waving goodbye to the camera with serene smiles on their faces. Though the image was obstructed with a window that said [Start over from the beginning?]

"Start over? Maybe Mihoyo thought some people would rather restart their account than make a new one? Maybe restarting gives some extra benefits?" I mused out loud as my mouse hovered over the [Accept] box. Right before I pressed it I glanced at the clock, seeing how late it was getting. "I'll restart and get started on those chores. Little did I know, those would be the last words I said. At least in this timeline.

After I pressed [Accept] it felt like time stopped. Everything went still. The quiet buzzing of the AC stopped, the gentle squeaks of my guinea pigs ceased, the faint chatter from outside halted. Even the acanio upstairs stopped playing his music- it was impossible to get him to stop playing without a police visitation. I froze, unsure what to do before the world slowly started going black. I tried holding onto my consciousness but it was a futile effort.

The next time I opened my eyes something was different. No- even before my eyes opened I knew something was different. My bed was much more uncomfortable than it's ever been, it almost felt like back when I was a teenager and like hard mattresses. There were no stuffed animals smothering me and I swear I could feel a dog curled up next to me. Which should be impossible as the last time I had a dog was when I was a teenager. Which I am not.

When I opened my eyes I had to blink harder. I couldn't see any! The world was blurry and too out of focus. I haven't had to deal with this since I turned twenty three and got corrective eye surgery. Which was four years ago.

Was… was it all a dream? Were the last eleven years of my life… a dream? Everything I worked for? Everything I did? Did it not matter? Did I just imagine it? Did clicking that stupid accept button wake me up?

I rolled onto my back, disturbing the dog next to me, and covered my eyes with my arm, hiding the slowly building tears that had started to gather. "Fucking hell... I think I made a mistake." I whispered out, wincing at how high pitched my voice was. Would my voice become as deep as it was in my dream? Or would it get more annoying?

"(Y/N)! Wake up! Breakfast is ready!" I heard my mom yell from down the hall.

I slowly lowered my arm and let it rest over my stomach, staring up at the ceiling. Tears slowly clouded my vision, making my already blurry vision even worse. I wiped my eyes, hoping the unwanted liquid was the only reason I couldn't see. After trying to focus on seeing clearly I gave up, looking over to the messy blob or brown fur. "How long was I asleep Fox? It definitely felt like years. And I'm not even well rested."

The dog only rolled over, letting me pet her stomach. Despite not wanting to get out of bed I knew I had to get up at some point, least my mom comes in my room to drag me out herself. I wonder if anything from my dream will come true.

Olivia + Friends — Dream + Friends —Prologue — Chapter 1 — Chapter 2

The stream started as chaotic as ever, with Alex singing Gen-Z anthems to his audience, while waiting for his friends to arrive. He was just belting out the last tune to High School Musical's "Breaking Free" when a loud knock was heard on the door of his streaming room. "Yeah?" he asked, waiting for the door to get opened.

"Hey, Olivia" he said seeing his best friend since childhood days, stand in the doorframe, two cups of ice creams in her hand. "The camera's on, just a heads up", he said and watched his best friend walk over to the desk.

Olivia María Sousa was twenty-one years old and has been friends with Alex since they were seven years old. They shared similar interests and had the same kind of humor—which was exhilarating.

As a Mexican it was nice for Alex to have a friend with similar roots as him, since Olivia was half-American, half-Portuguese. They often spoke in a mix of Portuguese and Spanish to each other just to tease each other—and their friends.

Olivia was also a Twitch streamer, similar to what her best friend was doing. The only difference was that Olivia's audience was much smaller and Olivia was pretty much faceless.

"It's okay, Quack" Olivia spoke and moved towards the desk. She carefully stretched her arms towards his friend, showing the stream nothing but the sleeves of her black hoodie and her watch and bracelets.

Chat was immediately freaking out.

haterdef: ugh, I hate her. she's ruining the stream again.

haterghi: making it all about herself again, huh? she's basically using Alex for clout. women are trash.

Olivia couldn't see what Alex's chat was saying, since she was looking at her best friend only, while handing him the ice cream before carefully moving her arms out of the frame again.

Alex tried to ignore the nasty comments, he knew he couldn't protect Olivia from any hate, but he just hoped she wouldn't see them. Olivia wasn't a Minecraft player like he was, she usually streamed herself playing Kingdom Hearts or Genshin Impact. She loved those games more than anything else in the world and usually streamed when she continued playing.

For Olivia, streaming was like a diary. She could come back and see how she played this or that quest and how she reacted to cutscenes and to certain characters. It was something she mainly did for herself so she wasn't even annoyed that she had only 14K followers while her best friend accumulated 4.3 million Twitch follower.

Once out of frame, Olivia sat down in one of Alex's plush chairs. "I'm really excited for the stream, Alex", she grinned. "It feels like you haven't played Jackbox in ages!" Alex grinned at her, watching her eat her ice cream before concentrating back on his stream.

"Chat, Karl and George just came online, I'll add them to the call!" Alex said and Olivia leaned back in the chair, putting her earphones in and watching Alex's stream on her phone.

Once her earphones were in she could hear her and Alex's shared friends voice. Karl Jacobs was a bit older than both of them but enjoyed their company a lot. He had met Alex multiple times but hasn't seen Olivia's face at all yet. The only one who had ever seen how Olivia looked like was Alex.

Karl cheered on Alex and both of them went feral. Olivia chuckled to herself. George seemed kinda tired, complaining why he had to join another feral stream of Quackity when he could simply go to bed and sleep. (A mood to be honest.)

Olivia kept quiet for a while until Alex called her. She could hear Karl in her earphones asking if she was with him and Alex hummed. "Yes, Olivia came over today. She brought me ice cream, isn't she pog?"

Karl let out a jealous sigh. "I want cute Livvy bringing me ice cream as well. I'm jealous." Olivia walked over to Alex, waiting for him to give her his empty ice cream cup and walking out of the room, when her eyes fell onto Alex's chat.

A lot of warm messages from fans all across the world rushing on the side of his stream. Some of the comments were seemingly written by horny fourteen-year-olds and then there were the comments Olivia was most probably used to already.

Hate comments.

She knew Alex tried to keep them from her as much as possible, but she even got hate comments on her own account because people told her she wasn't going with trends or popular games but rather spent 70+ hours playing a Kingdom Hearts game from 2002.

But the comments she got on Alex's channel were nasty. She knew most of them were written by jealous people who didn't want their favorites to be friends with girls. Others were written by trolls who just wanted to spread malice and as much as Olivia tried to keep a healthy mindset, some of these comments were just too much for the twenty-one year old.

userhdf: I absolutely despise Olivia. she's basically a money sucking vampire. she's only with Alex because he's rich.

It hurt. Olivia had known Alex for most of her life and she had shared lovely memories with him. She didn't need money from Alex. She might not have as much viewers and partners as Alex, but an average stream of her with up to 8k viewers could get her up to 20,000$. She didn't need Alex's money.

She was happy with the money she was owning. Sure, it weren't millions of dollars that were raining down into her bank account but it was enough to buy her family a gorgeous house and pay the tuition for her brothers and her own university. Plus, a super nice looking Mustang that was currently parked outside of Alex's house.

Olivia didn't need to brag about money. She was happy with what she earned and with the sponsors she was working with. She didn't need anonymous people on the Internet telling her she was only Alex's friend because of his money.

It still made her feel vulnerable though. Reading comments like this made her self worth plummeting. Leaving her behind as a sad, empty and anxious blob. She often felt depressed and antsy when she read comments like these over and over again. So she did the only thing that helped in a situation like this.

She banned the words "money", "Alex", "Quackity", "despise" and "ew" from her comment section. It felt liberating to not see people hate on her with these words, sure people always found other ways to insult her. But for now they kept quiet.

Just as Olivia threw away the trash, she heard Alex's other friends yell into her earphones and took a look at her phone. The boys had already started the first game—Quiplash and were literally yelling into each others ears.

It was an hour later, that George decided that he wanted to stop playing. He was way too tired. The boys all begged him to stay but George was eager to go to sleep and went offline in the blink of an eye.

Olivia, who was sitting opposite of Alex's gaming set up chuckled into her fist seeing the boys trying to find a backup for George. "Skeppy's not picking up" BadBoyHalo said and Karl sighed. "I don't want freaking Gene to join" he grunted talking about the AI extra player that joined when the party had too little members.

"We don't have another choice I guess" Sapnap said when Alex's eyes lit up. "Guys, I think I have a brilliant idea" he looked over his monitor looking at Olivia being cuddled up on the couch her earphones in her ears, not even looking towards her best friend.

"Q? What's the idea?" yelled Karl. Alex's Chat was equally as confused as Karl as they were able to only see Alex's torso, since the Mexican boy had decided to stand up a little. Without looking at his chat or his Discord, he started speaking.

"Y'all remember my best friend right?" he started and Karl grunted. "Olivia? Of course, she's an angel" Karl said and Olivia's head shot up. She looked over to Alex, seeing him watching her with eager eyes.

"I know none of you except of Karl know her, since she's pretty much—no offense Liv—a loser... but she's currently here... would y'all be fine with her joining?" Alex looked at Olivia who's eyes were as big as plates. She stared at Alex and shook her head.

"No" she mouthed and he pouted. "No" the girl repeated and slowly stood up, trying to flee out of the room. "Olivia, please!" Karl's voice rang in her ears, in hope she was watching the stream to hear the curly haired lad beg. "I don't know your innuendos though!" the girl adressed, loud enough for Alex's microphone to pick up her words.

A unfamiliar voice from Alex's Discord chuckled. "We can play a stranger friendly round for once" the man spoke and Olivia immediately recognized the voice as the loud voice from Alex's friend Dream.

She didn't knew a lot about Dream, but she would recognize his voice from watching Alex's streams. He was a pretty popular Minecraft streamer and as faceless as her.

"Please Olivia!" Alex begged and Olivia sighed. "Fodas" the girl let out and pulled up a chair close to Quackity but still far away from his face cam. The only thing one could see was her hands when she was fumbling with the set of headphones Alex was handing her.

✧｡ when he realized that he liked aether’s design more than hers, he just stopped using her entirely

✧｡ if he hadn’t gotten all the way to AR 30 before this realization, he probably would’ve started over with a new account just to choose aether instead

✧｡ will shamelessly simp with you if he deems the character simp worthy—if not he’ll just watch you simp and then simp over his own characters

✧｡ genshin is more of a leisure pastime for kuroo, but he finds himself playing it more and more with each passing day

✧｡ surprisingly? he’s much better at genshin than what you were originally expecting

✧｡ it’s probably because he has enough patience to grind for all of the materials SDJKFJKSDF

✧｡ but because he prioritizes volleyball a lot more, he’s only at AR 36 while you’re on your way to AR 47

✧｡ he takes it upon himself to compare himself to childe, and you just have to go with it because tooru will not take no for an answer

✧｡ just to spite you he goes around saying “hey girlie” every now and then

��｡ he’ll come up behind you quietly and whisper in your ear, causing you to jump at the sound of his voice

✧｡ “hey girlie, hold still.”

✧｡ “TOORU COULD YOU NOT—”

✧｡ “c’mon, you know you you like it.”

✧｡ “maybe if you dressed up into childe’s foul legacy transformation, i would be persuaded.”

✧｡ if you ask nicely and you give him something in return

✧｡ but all in all, he does genuinely enjoy the game

koutarou bokuto.

✧｡ kou will either forget to play it for months or you’ll have to pry it from his hands after being locked away in his room for at least a week

✧｡ his favorite five star to use would probably be klee, just because of all the explosions she sets off

✧｡ definitely simps for ningguang and albedo, but will see to it that he proves himself better than any of the guys you simp for

✧｡ he loves using fischl so that he can use oz

✧｡ he doesn’t take the game very seriously but still manages to reach AR 40, even though he has no idea how builds work

✧｡ he has no desire to learn either, he’s just enjoying himself and exploring the world

✧｡ he gets carried away with exploring the world that he found both all of the anemoculus and the geoculus before AR 40

✧｡ goes into emo mode when he doesn’t pull the character he wants

✧｡ the story quests make him sad when he does them, especially venti’s

✧｡ he regretted not having venti after he finished that story quest and just watched the story with venti and his old friend over and over again to mourn

✧｡ and he checks up on stanley every time he sees him anywhere, usually in front of mondstadt at night

✧｡ “i promise you that i will never leave you or let any harm come to you, y/n”

✧｡ “kou, that’s sweet of you—”

✧｡ “i mean it! i would rather die than put you in harm’s way”

✧｡ you have to comfort him repeatedly and eventually gets over it

✧｡ but now he’s saving up for venti’s rerun and has not been deterred or tempted for anyone else, mans is almost at 10k primogems for this guy

✧｡ mihoyo pls give bokuto a venti rerun

✧｡ it’s safe to say that venti slowly becomes bokuto’s favorite character

✧｡ you should watch out before kou becomes too emotionally attached to every character
