Neela and DK have been dating? for awhile, I mean I don't know if I'd call it dating but best friends with benefits? DK has always been possessive over Neela but sometimes it's a bit much. "Who's this gaijin?!" Neela steps In front but Twinkie is quick to speak up "DK he's here with us, we don't want any problems just here to race. "really? can he drift." I recognize that voice so fast I don't even need to turn around to see who it is. "Really Han? gonna let this kid race with your car? .. alright I won't stop you, I can add it to my collection." he smirks he knows he'll win.

Me and Neela are listening to Twinkie lecture Sean about his stupid decision "Do you even know what DK stands for?" Twinkie crosses his arms waiting for a reply. "No? Donkey Kong?" I laugh and shake my head "It means DRIFT KING Sean, basically Twinkie's telling you that you're going to get you're ass kicked." I smile and watch Sean's face "Maybe I'll win? you never know" "the chances of you winning red neck are slim to none, than you'll have to pay back Han". I lean back against my car, "What about me?" I turn to see Han shoving his mouth full with chips. I smile seeing him shoveling food in his face he's always eating "just explaining what's going to happen after he loses" "hey have some faith in him, maybe he'll win".

"keyword Han. MAYBE, I just feel bad for you sucks you're gonna lose another car." He just laughs and looks at Sean "just try, you'll still owe me though."

"alright let's go! chop chop!!" Han hands his keys over to Sean to his 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX. "Han man this car is too nice for this."

Han shrugs "Y/n lets go up a level" Neela tugs at my arm "alright good luck Sean, see you at the finish line.. if you ever make it..." I giggle walking towards the elevator. "wait up!" twinkie and Han jogging towards us.

The elevator Is filled with the talking of Neela and Twinkie, the two of them stand close to the door while me and Han are In the back. I watch as Han leans down, "Hey y/n how have you been? it's been a minute since we last talk, missed you" he whispers it so Nel and Twinkie can't hear. "Just been working on Kai, finished her a couple days ago. I'll show you after if we go back to the garage." He's teasing me..I know he is, and I'm enjoying every second of it. "Sure, forgot you name them. I know you've been working on her for awhile, congrats." I smile and the doors open, we step out into the crowd of people. Music's blasting and people are shoving their tongues down each others throat, dancing/gridding. "Do you guys really think he'll win this" i ask looking at Neela and Han "probably not but why not give it a shot"

"Okay!! Let's get this started!!!" a girl steps up between the two cars who keep revving their engines while glaring at one another. "READY?" she looks at the two cars "SET.." the room goes silent for maybe 3 seconds. "GOO!!" and off! both cars race off around the building, twists and turns and all you can hear is screeching noise of the tires. There're quick to go up another level and people rush to get up there. "Come on!" Neela grabs my hand as we run.. or at least try to In our heels.

Once we reach upstairs everyone waits patiently to see who will reach the finish line first. And whoosh! DK stops perfectly, I sigh but already knew what the outcome would be. a minute later Sean screeches In and stops. People are cheering and surrounding DK as I walk towards the scratched up, dented car. Han, Twinkie and Neela are already talking to Sean "You own me a car red." Twinkie's laughing and Neela's talking with Sean. "So that didn't really go to plan huh?"

"Yeah guess not, but I'll just practice till I know for sure I can beat him" I just chuckle at his remark "Han, maybe you can teach him how to drift, a couple of lessons wouldn't hurt." Han turns to me and smirks "maybe you should baby" I glance at him, cheeks reddening at the nickname "why because I drift better than you?" I raise an eyebrow at him with a cocky grin on my face. "whatever you say"

"I wish you'd just race me already! I've been waiting so long" I groan, he smiles "maybe later" he shrugs "you always say thattt!" walking to his car "meet me at the garage, think there's a party going on." I turn back to Sean Twinkie and Neela.

Ask game for Chase?

The pupper ever!! Also two other people asked for Chase while I was already working on it XD I'm sorry it's taking me literally days to get them all done, I'm having trouble to think properly on what to say for some stuff in these

My first impression - I'm not tanking this. His car is blue and white, he's a cop and HIS NAME IS CHASE. HMMMM WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE, OH I WONDER--

My impression now - He's precious. No, really. A+ for effort in everything he does but he should learn to relax a little more, just a liiiiiiiittle more

Favorite thing about that character - He's always willing to try new things out of his comfort zone and he always gives it his best, plus his loyalty levels are off the charts

Least favorite thing - He's too much of a people pleaser Istg-- Chase, sweetheart, you're supposed to be a figure of authority XD And this will sound like a dumb thing to dislike but I dislike the fact he's a German Shepherd. I think it's too obvious a breed for police dogs and he doesn't LOOK like one at all for me. When I first saw him without his gear, I was like "Wait is he a Belgian Malinois??? Omg please yes that would be cool to not have a German Shepherd as a Police Dog for ONCE" but yeah my dreams were crushed quickly on my first Google Search on him

Favorite line/scene - It's not specifically the line, but mostly the scene: Have you EVER seen Chase refuse a job or go against Ryder???

I know he ended up changing his mind after that talk with Ryder, but IN THIS MOMENT, he stood his ground and said NO. It's even in his body language: His ears are slightly back, his expression is serious like "don't even try arguing with me on this", his tail isn't relaxed, his paw stomping on the floor to make his point. Notice his frown even deepens as the elevator door closes just before it goes down. This is SO IMPORTANT to me you have no idea, especially considering how much of a people pleaser Chase is and how he holds Ryder as the most important person in his life. We know Chase would do anything for Ryder. But at this exact moment? He was decided to NOT do something for Ryder. This is such a powerful, yet overlooked and underrated scene, as well as character development. It encapsulates perfectly how there's so much more to Chase than any of us knew so far.

Favorite interaction that character has with another - Mighty Movie Skase moment #2 (I think? I counted at least 4 big moments) when Chase goes to check on Skye when she was sulking on the back of the Aircraft Carrier. Her problems there are totally out of his league, he literally cannot relate to anything she's currently going or went through in the past- still he tries to show support the only way he can at the moment, by being there for her, by listening to her. He's a keeper, Skye, go for it XD

A character that I wish that character would interact with more - Marshall and Zuma. They used to play a lot before, but now...? I'm still at the 8th season and I'm seriously missing those fun and slice of life moments

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character - Leonardo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, specifically 2012 series

A headcanon about that character - I think Chase was one of those kind of puppies who just didn't know when to fucking STOP. 24/7 playful baby. Also a natural explorer, always sniffing everything, licking everything, maybe biting, touching, scratching, growling, barking at anything new for a while. Ever curious, always being the puppy to go ahead of the others, "exploring the waters to open the way and make sure it's safe for the others to come after him". On a second note, I've seen one too many people returning adopted puppies for this reason here where I live, because "they're a handful and I wasn't expecting this" 🤦🏽‍♀️

1. I thought now that Agatha All Along was over, Daredevil was next and they'd be releasing the trailer but I just found out I was wrong! They're releasing what if season next, and then spiderman AND THEN Daredevil so I still have way longer to wait!

I don't like watching leaks. They're sucky qualitt and come out way too early and often tell you too much. So I didn't watch the leaked Daredevil trailer & don't want to.

2. I didn't watch the Penguin but I know what happened and ... It sucked. Ive typed up my thoughts about this before on reddit (a lot of people suck there but I just deal with it). Instead of retyping it all, I'm just going to snapshot what I said & send the snapshot.

(please know that if what I said on Reddit sounds mean, it's because of who I was saying it TO. They were being MAJOR dicks about me not liking it and so I was pissed at them while typing this up.

1. They have released an official Daredevil teaser thankfully but I don't think we've gotten the full trailer yet? I've seen all the leaks though because I'm a HOE for daredevil 😅😂 I think I saw it debuts early March which is sooo soon but so far ugh

I get it about the leaks though, a lot of times they do tell too much! It can be a lot more fun going in blind without knowing all the cameos and returning characters--a lot of which they definitely spoiled in the leaked trailer

2. I definitely can see where you're coming from about the Penguin show! Also people shouldn't be dicks because you disagree with them?? And also try to attack you personally for having an opinion???? That's dumb wtf

I will say though (as you've probably seen from my unhinged posts), I loooooved the Penguin show. They did a great job doing a deep dive into his psyche and then did a great job revealing who he truly is (which we knew all along of course but it was a wild ride)

All that being said--the show is worth it for every reason besides the Penguin himself. Sofia and Vic's characters (and even some of the other characters like Oz's mom and Eve) stole the whole fucking show. The show def sets up some of that stuff for the next film! Also I really, really loved seeing more of Gotham and the criminal underworld. Like, I got soooo many ideas for fics just from that 😂

The storytelling is seriously so good though. Especially for Sofia. Like, she made the whole show for me and that's partly why I personally think it's a marvel! Plus the acting was just so good on so many levels. It felt like all the actors were super passionate about it and gave it their all! (Again, especially for Sofia and Vic!)

So, all that to say--obviously my opinion is different than yours but that's okay! I don't really like Soprano type stuff either typically so if the Battinson brainrot wasn't sooo fucking deep I probably never would have watched it 😂

Dex attempted to straighten his tie, but when he looked into the mirror, it was still crooked. He fiddled with it a moment more before giving up and ripping it off.

It was the night of the Foxfire Ball. He wanted to ask Biana to it, but he kept chickening out. Now it was too late and he didn't have a date to the dance. But he couldn't just bail because he was sulking about it. So he continued to get ready, finally clipping his cape around his shoulders.

Thankfully, it was only for the older levels, so the triplets wouldn't be there to embarrass him. He was more than capable of doing that all on his own.

He stepped into the leapmaster and called out "Havenfeild". Everyone was meeting up there before heading to Foxfire. When he glittered at the pastures, Sophie, Keefe, Tam, and Linh were already there. He was almost relieved Biana wasn't there yet.

He went to go greet his friends. Linh was jumping up and down with excitement, which was understandable. She had never had the chance for something like this before. Sophie, on the other hand, looked miserable in her frilly yellow dress. Dex couldn't help but laugh.

Unfortunately, Biana and Fitz showed up a moment later. He couldn't even look her in the eye without breaking out in a nervous sweat.

She was dressed in an extravagant lavender gown. Her hair was swept back into a half up half down hairstyle. Pink lip gloss on her lips. She looked gorgeous. Meanwhile, he hadn't even managed to put on a stupid tie!

Maybe it was for the best he kept chickening out. She was totally out of his league. There was no way he'd be able to compete with the other guys who'd want to be with her.

Plus, she was a Vacker. He was just a Dizznee. Both their families had reputations, but for the exact opposite reasons. There was absolutely no way a mix like that could happen.

He realized he'd been staring a second too late when Biana turned and made eye contact with him. Her beautiful smile lit up, but thankfully, Marella appeared in the pasture next, saving him from coming up with an excuse on why he was staring.

Everyone lept to the dance after that, and he was stranded in his own again. Biana went off with Marella, Fitz and Tam went straight to stuff their faces with food, and Keefe took Sophie by the arm, dragging her onto the dance floor with her laughing.

He was almost jealous watching them laughing and giggling with each other. He'd gotten over his crush on Sophie a long time ago, but he still wanted a relationship like they had. With a certain someone in particular.

Dex glanced around the room but stopped himself.  Someone had probably already asked Biana to dance. He wasn't going to make a fool of himself, so he went to go join Tam and Fitz by the punch table.

He took a sip of his punch but nearly choked on it when Fitz asked, "So, when are you asking my sister to dance with you?"

Dex coughed the juice out of his lungs and placed his cup on the table. "You said what now?"

He eyed him. "You heard me. When."

"I-I don't think I know what you're talking about."

Fitz took a sip of his juice. "Mm-hm. Fine then, play dumb if that's what you want. That's not going to get you very far, though."

Dex rolled his eyes. "Whatever, Wonderboy." He walked off to the middle of the crowded dancefloor.

He saw Biana out of the corner of his eye. She was talking to some brunette boy. Exactly what he was expecting. Stupid to think he had a chance.

But Biana said something and turned away, with the boy looking slightly disappointed. She smiled when she spotted Dex and quickly made her way over to him.

"Oh, hey," he fumbled. "Watcha up to."

She shrugged. "That dude asked to dance, but I wasn't really interested. I appreciate him shooting his shot, but I've never seen him before in my life. If I actually knew him, I'd probably give him a chance. I feel like everyone deserves a chance. Well...as long as that's not the only time I've ever seen you in my life, you know."

Dex nodded with flushed cheeks. He wanted to kick himself for thinking he had an opportunity. She obviously wasn't talking about him. But...it wouldn't hurt to get the humiliation out of the way, would it? Then it could be done and over with.

"So...Biana." He looked into her sparkling teal eyes.

She tilted her head, studying him. "Yes."

He cleared his throat. "Would you...wanna give me a chance to dance with you, perhaps."

She processed that for one second. Two. By the third, he wanted to accept he'd been rejected right then and walk away.

But then a grin that brightened the room spread across her face. "I'd love to!"

She took his hand and brought him out to a spot with fewer people as a slow dance turned on. They locked hands. Biana leaned her head onto his chest, tucked under his chin. They swayed together until the song was over. Dex was probably the happiest guy on the planted in that moment, with Biana tangled in his arms.

After they pulled away, Biana had a slight blush on her cheeks. Dex was sure his were pink, too. It got even brighter when Biana leaned in on her tip toes and kissed him on the cheek.

"Thank you for the dance. I'd like another one before the night is over, if you don't mind." She winked at him and walked away. He was too dumbfounded to respond.

He stumbled to the punch table. Keefe must've joined at some point because he stood with Tam and Fitz.

Keefe had a smirk on his face and held out his hand for a fistbump. "Nice job."

All the color drained from Dex's face as the realization hit him. "Don't tell me you saw any of that, did you?"

"All of it."

"Yup," Fitz agreed, laughing. "So much for not knowing what I was talking about."

Dex could help but laugh either. "Yeah, yeah. Now can it."

Keefe gave him a look. "You realize that Biana is probably uploading all of that to Sophie, Marella, and Linh, as we speak?"

"I can dump juice on his head if you'd like," Tam offered.

"Please do."

But in reality, Dex was over the moon. He didn't chicken out. He should've manned up a while ago, but he was just grateful it worked out in the end. And that's all that mattered.

Hi, I'm dumb so forgive me if this question has an easy answer; is there a viewing order for Revstar? I'm trying to get into it, but I have been putting it off because I couldn't tell where to start

I assume you just mean the anime, but since there are also a bunch of stage plays and spin-offs and a gacha game, here's an overview and my personal opinion on a good viewing order:

You should definitely watch the anime first. It's only 12 episodes but it spends so much time developing each and every character and making you truly feel for them, plus it's the most experimental piece of media in the franchise and where the Utena influences are the most visible, so it's a treat to watch. I don't know if it's an unpopular opinion or what, but the stage plays didn't do nearly as much to develop the characters or their relationships with each other due to the obvious time constraints, so if that's your first run-in with the franchise you'll probably be disappointed

3 OVAs which take place during the finale and which I didn't know existed for the longest time. They're short and sweet and have some good character interaction, though you don't really have to watch them

I know there's a manga prequel with nine chapters introducing each of the nine girls + a bonus chapter that takes place after the finale. I haven't read it though

Rondo Rondo Rondo: it's a movie recapping the series from a slightly different perspective and including new scenes. You don't have to watch it but I'd still check out the new scenes on Youtube at least, especially the one after the end credits which is a direct lead-in to Gekijouban

Gekijouban Revue Starlight: the sequel movie. Absolute masterpiece, required viewing, budget was off the charts, elevates the series to new levels etc. etc.

As for the stage plays, again, I recommend watching them after the anime if you're interested. Doesn't really matter if you watch them right after the anime or after Gekijouban because the stage plays have their own plot that is only tangentially related to the anime, but they do have to be watched in a specific order:

As for the gacha game, I don't play it but there's a lot of content which cross-references either the anime or the stage plays so I'll just direct you to this post (meant to just share the original one but Tumblr won't let me click on the original post to get the link) which also includes a guide about the viewing/playing order. Overall I think you could start playing after watching like, the anime + Gekijouban + possibly the first two stage plays?

PLEASE don't feel threatened by all of this btw. You can just watch the 12-episode anime and Gekijouban and be perfectly fine 'cause everything else is just extra. I've only watched the anime stuff and the first four stage plays I mentioned 'cause the gacha game and later stage plays add too many characters for me to keep up with

LoZ: TotK - Discussing Zelda Hate

I'mma level with ya'll. I've seen some really dumb takes regarding Zelda hate.

People be complaining & getting so vitriolic about how the house that Link bought last game is now being called "Zelda's house" by the Hateno residents in TotK & dude...

First off, Zelda herself never says that it's "her house," that's all the Hateno residents except in a journal in the English version. And even then, in the original Japanese, she says "the house." (And I'm convinced that the English writers only did that to prevent shipping.) So, why aim all that hate at Zelda? Besides, where do these jerks expect her to live with the castle in such a state of disrepair?

Second of all, Link & Zelda are living together. At least, that's what's implied.

For one, the fact that Zelda needed a secret room means that someone else was living in the house with her or, at the very least, was there frequently enough that she felt she needed her own space. Even in the English version, she comments that Link is "always at her side..." There's also the fact that when Symin sees Link again, his reaction is "you're back." As though Link lived there & had returned home. This plus the fact that Link seemingly gets to vote in Hateno's mayoral election implies that he's a resident of the town.

I also read somewhere that Nintendo was going to put a double bed in the Hateno House, but changed it when parents got all up in arms over it. (Though, this one is just a rumor.)

Even Zelda's va says they're in a relationship. Which, I know, that's just 1 va & thus doesn't confirm anything. But it does lend credence to the idea.

I get it, this is all just implications. But the thing is, Nintendo can really only imply relationships with the main character to begin with.

It's why Mareach still isn't a thing, but Ludaisy is somewhat canon, at least in the Mario Party games based off their team-up names. Because Luigi & Daisy aren't the focus characters & thus have more freedom.

The same can be said for Zelink.

What I don't understand is why people are so against the idea of Zelink being possibly canon. Like, Zelink being canon wouldn't stop you from being able to headcanon & ship something else!

And I can't help but think that Link has to stay single in the games so that manic shippers don't get butthurt. Which sucks!

And, honestly, even if they weren't together, you really think that Zelda would be the sort of person to just move into the man's house, take it over, & kick him out?? She's likely been raised on etiquette & manners & taking a man's house is very much not princess behavior. And, no, you shouldn't just hate her completely based on how she acted towards Link at the beginning of BotW's flashbacks. Things change. Very specifically, her views on Link changed. She's not a bitch to him anymore, so please, stop pretending that she's the same as she was then.

It's more likely that Link gave the house to her. Which, I still don't believe, but it's the more likely option when compared to Zelda just outright being a house theif.

Edit: I was recently told that Zelda refers to the house in Hateno as "her house," but then learned that this was only in the English version. In Japanese, she calls it "the house" & not "my house." And her very last line at the end of the game in both versions are along the lines of "Link, I'm home."

So, while not a confirmation, it certainly doesn't debunk it.

The big thing is, if they didn't want there to be any shippy implications then it would've been pathetically easy to just give her a different house & be done with it.

Instead, they chose to very specifically make it known that Zelda specifically lives in the exact same house that Link canonically buys in the last game & helps build up with his own rupees & resources.

Then, they specifically, make it canon that Link got Hudson & Rhondson together & helped build Terry Town, which is specifically something you cannot do unless you purchase the Hateno House!

They also specify that Link is "always by Zelda's side." That the house has 2 place settings but only 1 bed.

Then, at Terry Town, Link is able to purchase a Dreamhouse, which is specifically advertised to be for families. And the dining table specifically has 4 place settings. Which suggests some things.

And whenever someone asks if Link has someone he loves, his reaction is one of bashfulness! Or to confirm!

They knew what they were doing. They chose to make it look this way. It was intentional.

Let's face it, they're common law married, ya'll.

but sure yes i can give you some tips and pointers if you'd like !!

make like character charts or bullet points down for all the characters.

if you're creative and artistic, draw out like a large ass character relationship chart. i've done one with secure that card and belladonna where i literally just drew arrows to each of the characters plus what the arrows meant.

this is one i made for when i started belladonna! (free from spoilers teehee) but you can see label relationships on it if you want! it makes it more clear, and if you forget a relationship it doesn't seem like ur making something up later in the story.

you can also like just write down bullet points on what you want the characters to be/act like. it's important to write this stuff down otherwise you'll lose it and forget! i won't show u my belladonna one bc it has spoilers on it, but i'll show u a basic one i used for mark lee vs the world. (obviously i conveyed most of these in the profiles but it's still good to update and add onto it when you need to)

2. study mbti or other personality categorizations!

back in 2020 i was SO OBSESSED WITH mbti. it's helped so much with writing and understanding characters on a personal level. whenever i get lost and don't know how to distinguish a personality from another i usally deep dive and watch content or remember what i know about mbti.

now there's obviously the specific 4-letters mbti, the functions mbti, and what the members think their own mbti is. obviously the test itself is dumb, so i don't always listen to what nct thinks their own mbti is or what the internet is. i like to do my own research into the functions and how i perceive the members for help.

this has also helped me a lot because there was for a period of time, where i wasn't sure how to write jeno and some of the members of 127. but studying his mbti really helped me create a personality to him!

here's my dreamie mbti thoughts at the moment if anyone wants them. i can also give my thoughts for any of the others if anyone is interested!

mark: infj. him being extroverted is so forced omg, take one closer look at this man and you can see his more introverted qualities. i'd accept isfj too, but his Ni function IS SOOOO STRONG.

renjun: RENJUN IS SUCH A BIG. "we don't know them personally situation" because i'll literally accept any variation of renjun at all. he knows much more about mbti than anyone else i've seen, especially coupled with the fact that he doesn't want to tell anyone what his mbti is, because he knows how annoying people can get about it. also he precieves himself as an extrovert which is shocking to me, but i feel like in this case i'd just type him as an istj/intp lol.

jeno: istp. i had to turn to pdb for this one lol, which isn't the worst place ever to start, but it also becomes a big ass echo chamber at times. though i relatively agree with istp lmfao.

haechan: enfp/entp. this one is always up in the air, because like jaemin people can't really tell if haechan is an extrovert or introvert. the way i disagree with the entire internet on this one lol. someone tell him to stop taking the fucking test he is definitely not an istp. 💀

jaemin: isfj. his test is pretty accurate i'd say, there's a lot of debate over whether or not jaemin is an extrovert or introvert, but if you actually pay attention to the way he acts when he isn't just around dreamies you can see how his social battery gets used up fairly fairly quickly. (cough cough nct world cought nct world)

chenle: definite entj. as someone who personally is an entj, i see so many entj qualities shine through this man.

jisung: infp. jisung's definitely introverted, but he has so many infp qualities. the patience and attentiveness, his fairness and morality, and deep connection with feelings. SO INFP CODED.

I was just going to put this in tags but I'll put it here.

This is why I'm uncomfortable when people make sweeping generalizations about conservatives/Republicans.

On a fundamental level, I do disagree with the political beliefs that lead people to holding those labels.

But at the same time, there's such a huge difference between someone who is Republican because they think that we should have lower taxes, and someone who is Republican because they think rich white men are the only people worthy of rights.

When we make those blanket statements of "every Republican is racist" or whatever, we're making it less likely that those people are going to do stuff like this. Often it leads to people doubling down on their beliefs, even if they are inherently harmful.

You also have people like my mom. She is a registered Republican, born and raised in Idaho, super super Mormon.

She's a registered Republican because she thinks that society should be built to promote the family and help families thrive.

But she also supports universal healthcare.

I tell her all the things I think are cool about Harris and Walz and she's always like "wow, yeah, that is really cool!"

She's a high school teacher and because of that now supports gun control.

She doesn't give a shit that I'm aroace. (Haven't talked about gender stuff but I'd feel pretty comfortable bringing it up at this point to be honest.)

The thing is that the public/left awareness of the Republican party has shifted, following the people who are in power. Because those in power are getting more extreme.

There are people who have always held really extreme right-wing beliefs.

There are people like many who are voting for Trump who used to be less extreme, but have followed those in positions in power in gradually making their views more extreme.

There are those like my mom and dad who have some not great but far more reasonable beliefs who feel like the Republican party no longer represent them.

It's important to talk about those problematic beliefs that people like my parents hold, but at the end of the day they are genuinely good people. They've got internalized racism and homophobia and misogyny just like everyone else, but they're still good people.

Honestly even most hardcore Trump supporters are good people. (My grandparents voted for him! They're some of the kindest people I know!)

But if we just throw everyone under the label of "Republican" and then assume that includes things like homophobe, white supremacist, etc, you're going to end up with a lot of people who don't want to get behind what you're behind.

It's so much better, in my experience, to build a report, built trust, try to genuinely understand where the other person is coming from. I've talked to my Trump voting grandparents about trans people and they listened to me. I may not have changed their minds, but they have at least seen that other side from someone they respect.

That's going to go a whole lot more good in the long run than just calling them Republican and never talking to them again.

Of course there's more nuance than this, and if someone has like genuine beliefs that. Really really not great. Dump their ass. It's not worth it. There's a difference between someone who's a white supremacist because that's what they deeply believe, and someone who's just parroting what they saw elsewhere. The later deserve time and understanding, because they have the potential to turn into the former but aren't there yet.

And of course there are people like my mom. If she took a political compass quiz it would tell her she's liberal, hands down. Still a registered Republican.

Anyways, these are thoughts I've had for a bit and maybe I'll write something later that's a bit more planned out. Hope that makes sense.

And there's just a ton of nuance here that I can't get into because I've almost hit my time limit on Tumblr and I need to go take an exam. Plus it's dumb to expect me to elaborate on every possible way this could be misinterpreted. Just assume I kinda know what I'm talking about please, unless I accidentally said something blatantly incorrect. O7

Anon, I am saying this very nicely, but everyone in the RE tags are not your friends. Shared interest doesn't equal friendship. This isn't a website you can make money on, so focusing on engagement and post numbers is a null point.

That said, this means you can post whatever you want! You're not stuck to a theme or a fandom or how personal you get or anything!

Dropping something different/argumentative in a fandom tag isn't like you're on the announcement speaker in high school telling people off. If someone tries to annoy you or harass you, you can choose to engage them honestly and elaborate, ignore them, or you can block them. I've found sometimes when I do engage people honestly, they don't like my tone and block me. These are good things. Everyone is able to curate their experience, and honestly, if they don't want to talk to me about this stuff, then I probably wouldn't want to talk to THEM either.

All that stuff about people receiving a ton of anon hate for ships and opinions and shit? I haven't seen any of it. Why? Because I've been pretty vocal and annoying since I first got here, and those 2-3 people sending that stuff definitely have me blocked by now. The 10+ hater asks people get are always, without fail, just a couple people being annoying and wanting to frame themselves as an army. As you can see, there's no limit to how many asks you can send in one sitting. It's very classic 2014 tumblr behavior.

That said, I strongly recommend you and everyone else to be posting your opinions/interpretations in the tags. It not only keeps the tag from being swamped with half xreader fic I keep having to find new ways to block, but it'll encourage others (including me) to look at scenes and dynamics differently as we read. Different interpretations, even read in passing, do fuel and influence fandom as much as fanart and fanfic. The more opinions in the water, the more art people end up creating. Making people think, giving varying viewpoints on the same scenes/relationships, and organizing your own thoughts by putting them down on paper also lets you have more enjoyment of the story.

If people don't agree with or like what you write, they will either ignore your post or block you, but you're not looking for "Yes Men"! You're not going to get bullied either since anons make themselves look dumb as hell on this website all the damn time. You have the power to post or block as much as anyone else. Abuse it like me. The people you want to talk to will meet you at the level you're speaking at.

I relate to this statement on an emotional level. At the same time, a single cream puff is more captivating than half the men I’ve encountered in my life, so.. 😅

Penelope is having a full-on meltdown & Colin’s out here making dumb jokes. Did I laugh at said dumb joke? Absolutely 😂

All it took was twelve years and one kiss, but the fact that someone finally started to see how incredible she was & that it was the only person she ever wanted to impress 😭

Also, How is it possible that every single Brigerton brother is an oblivious fool when it comes to love? Plus, they somehow manage to reach new heights of stupidity by innovating their own versions obliviousness 😆

There is something so sweet about this quote. The hopeless romantic in me is not okay 😢

Lady Danbury is the real MVP of this book. In the few days that she was around Penelope, she had done a better job at offering her emotional support, than Portia Featherington had done in her whole life. Penelope truly deserved her adoration 😊

She turned to Penelope with a seething glare and hissed, “I demand an apology.” Penelope just nodded slowly and said, “That is your prerogative.” And then she said nothing more. Colin had to physically wipe the smile from his face.”

Colin Bridgerton is the founder & president of the “I heart Penelope Featherington club”, he just doesn’t know it yet 😍

Okay, this is the cutest part of the entire book for me. How endearing is that they were holding hands the entire time. And that Colin was fawning over that fact like a love sick puppy 🥰🥰

Okay, the fact that he didn’t realise that he loved her at this moment, shows just how emotionally unaware he is 😂

Colin’s got such a pure soul. I’m fully convinced that if it came down to it, he would physically fight Portia for Penelope🤣

I can’t even. This entire conversation was so chaotic 😂

Also, where did the Bridgerton brothers learn how to give such romantic speeches? And why is Colin low-key almost as good at it as Anthony is? Did he give both Benedict & Colin a crash course, or what? 😂
