I think I should be explicit in saying that I post writing with flaws. Accidental flaws, yeah, but, also, like, flaws. Things that I know don't quite work narratively. Awkwardly worded shit. Like I was joking about the Tenor Group being my way of practicing writing people sitting around tables gesturing but it kind of is.
I have to pay a lot of attention to the non-verbal communication in that big ensemble because they're quippy, but they can't all be quippy all the time. They would physically harm each other more than they already do. Being quippy is fine but also gets annoying, as a reader - so what's the right balance of non-verbal, verbal, and interruptions!? They interrupt. They talk over one another. They get diverted from the subject incredibly easily - how do you do enough of that and stay on the plot? Is the plot important? Not often with those jokers. They are the quintessential "people in rooms talking" setting, an extended version of the Reservoir Dogs tipping scene (which is good in part because it's actually not extended), a Kevin Smith-esque contractors on the Death Star arena of conversation.
In Academy Days, I'm flogging romance. Look - it's not my natural mode (I don't think? I sure do it a lot!) - so I keep having to pull myself back on track, and the track is "the love story is the point, dummy." I am definitely in the crowd that over-writes, and ESPECIALLY over-builds the world, so I write and write and write and cut it all out to make a character say "I love you" instead. I am not always good at this.
There is no such thing as a finished piece, only being finished with it (for now - you could come back! Or not). And I hoarded, before, my imperfect stuff because I was so scared of how imperfect it was. But honestly, in making myself share it, I took the greatest strides. Learned the most stuff. Learned the most basic stuff, too - I learned how to properly format paragraph breaks from an incredibly kind and patient comment on ff.net WAY back in the day (and if I do it wrong now it's my own fault, not theirs). There's something about putting a piece out there and knowing its been seen and trying to see it as its been seen in the context of the world out there that really helps me get perspective on the piece, and how I've written it, and how I write, even when nobody comments.
So, like, yeah - I guess I wanted to point out that it's jokes when I come after my own stuff post facto for its flaws, but its jokes because I know its flawed, and it might even be good that its flawed, or at least, I don't know how else to do it but flawed, and that's really fine. We're not all fuckin' Nabokov. It's got to be fine to fuck up. Draw the other eye wonky. Purl the wrong row. Whatever. I don't really want to gentle parent the flaws in my work away. I'm going to post the thing when I'm done with it (for now).
and you can pry dialogue tags out of my cold dead fingers you fucks.
#I don't know what the point of writing this was but I did#and I posted it#which might be the point#turtles all the way down

hey! here to say iâm sorry for the hate and vitriol you received from people angry the character wasnât white? itâs funny because most media and the world is made for them so to get angry at the few things that arenât? very entitled but also very fitting for white people
okay, i've been waiting for another ask like this to be sent becasue i'm too shaky to go back to the ones i've had sitting in my inbox for weeksđ, this might be a bit long, but bear with me, i can't help but making sure all points are covered.
so please, welcome how one of my character development moments came to be.... (p.s, sorry for the meme reactions they help me cope/try to remember the entire thing in a more humorous light đŤśđž)
so basically, the entire issue that pushed me to lashout/get defensive/etc, was because i naively assumed that my thought process would be understood by everyone that came across my book, but in truth, it was more of a miscommunication issue that was exasperated by my using of random signifiers/hair types.
the miscommunications was when some assumed that by me giving the Reader has red hair and yellow eyes, i was assigning characteristics/making an OC, when in reality, i just gave Reader the main characteristics makimaâthe character who the whole personality is based onâhad, which is: red/aurburn hair and yellow eyes.
now, this is where everything went down hill...
see, i tried to do this thing where once in a while, the readers skin tone/hair type was mention/hinted in an insignificant way, like saying:
"You pulled your hair into a bun, the soft curls tangling around your fingers in almost playful resistance; with an annoyed huff, you gave up, letting it fall however it wanted to."
or
"He grabbed your hands, captivated by the way they seemed to fit perfectly in his, unable to stop the adoring comparison; they were smaller than his, the warmth of your sun-kissed skin contrasting softly against his paler shade."
at random, like one moment it'll be curls, the next, straight, etc. ya know? but i also was kinda (read: was in fact) practicing my writing skills overall.
i adore readingâit's one main hyperfixationâso i just wanted to create what i've never had. and my writing style allows me to share this with those who've always felt the same, yet never had the guts/confidence to do it themselves...
anyways, getting back on track, combining the two, i had NUMEROUS angry/upset comments on all the platforms i posted it claiming that i was fishing for reads with a 'fake Reader' and how i needed to put blatant disclaimers that this was a Black OCâyes, you read that right ALL: wattpad, ao3, here, and quotev (especially quotev and heređ).
now, i understand the first part about fishing for reads by using an OCâi've had my fair shares of reading and going "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?!" when getting duped by a good ass ficâbut what lost me was that there were more anger about it being a 'Black OC' instead of just being an OC at all đđ like WHAT???
i was so confused (and a bit pissed) because there's no way someone the word 'tan' or 'brown' and automatically assume 'black reader' as if other racial minorities doesn't exist.
like, if i really wanted to make a black reader i would have done way more effort to showcase it, not use a flimsy word or two, but let me stop here before i make an entire essay đ
also, i'd like to give a small apology first on behalf of not communicating better; like stated before, i'm new to the sudden boom off attention and did not know how to properly deal with an huge influx of commentary.
though i knew it shouldn't have bothered me, the more negative ones stuck out more, so i distanced myself from interacting in general so i wouldn't have to see them at all.
i'll still be distant, but i'll do better at showcasing my appreciation in other ways â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
but yeah, that's what happened, but no worries, i just had to suck it up, take a lil break and get back on my writing shit đ bad days don't stop these 'tismic delusions â¤ď¸ see you guys soon...

Do you have any pmd ocs?
*grabs my toyhouse* do you know what you've just done
I'VE GOT TOO MANY!!!
Jokes aside, my biggest hyperfixation is my own PMDverse lmaoooo. It involves both my interpretations of canon characters and plotlines (which take a backseat admittedly but theyre fun to ruminate on while i replay the games) and my own PMD plotline! It's called Starfall and it features these three dweebs called Team Starlight as they're all trapped in Ultra Space and have to make their way back home, as well as find the other Pokemon who have been lost to Ultra Space (like Asha's family, the Rescue Team Silverwind)
There isn't really a Hero/Partner dynamic with any of these, though the closest would probably be Skylar/Asha.
Valerie is a Popplio with aura deficiency from being kept in her egg for too long, so she's had a very sheltered upbringing due to her overprotective brother. She's in the most dangerous position and she's the newest victim to Ultra Space, so Skylar and Asha have taken her under their wing to protect her. She's a very kindhearted and loving Pokemon, who tries to see the best in others, but she's also rather ignorant. She also harbors deep insecurity though because of her condition. She has always wanted to be an explorer, but never believed she could be one. While she's frightened, a part of her is also a little excited at the opportunities being in Ultra Space will give her. Though she doesn't know what sort of plot she's been thrown into...
Skylar is the "Hero", a human who was turned into a Pokemon with no memories of their human life. They're the de facto leader of the group and are actually very excited to be in Ultra Space: they're fascinated by how the Ultra Beasts live and they welcome the adventure they've been thrown into. They can be very rash and run into situations- they get a little too comfortable too quickly, which can annoy the Ultra Beasts. They don't really even mind being an Espurr- Aside from the headaches, it feels better than their human body... at least for now. But their amnesia terrifies them- whenever they're asked about their human past, they can't say anything- they just feel anxiety.
Asha is a Gligar that's very cautious and reserved, and wants as little nonsense and distraction as possible at achieving their goal of finding their family and home. Which is hard when you're a dimension traveler with two very curious companions. She's the one keeping everyone on track... with varying success. But her biggest issue is that she's actually a "glitch". She's the child of two Pokemon from different timelines that were never supposed to meet. So her aura is very unstable and can cause distortions. She believes that strong emotions make it worse, so they try to keep their emotions under wraps- which is difficult since they have a short fuse. She's deeply ashamed of this and is very resentful of her condition, and even wonders if she's more of a liability than an asset. Though they want to find their family again... they wonder if it'd be safer to stay out of their lives.
Can't get into all of it without spoilers but yeah I'm kinda obsessed with them. Those are the main three but I have several ocs that I sorta hyperfixate on one at a time- current one is Team Silverwind actually but I haven't properly updated their bios LOL. Please ask me about them though I love them sooooo much
(I also have a PMD OC askblog called @bugsofpetalroot which I haven't updated in a hot minute because I got too anxious, which I've been trying to work on, but I'll get back to it a in a bit I swear. It's about autistic bugs trying to find community in a world that feels like it's out to get them. Also I primarily post about these guys on my main @perenlop and art blog @asterbats. I actually just posted some stuff of my new PSMD team last night hee hee :3)
#also uhhh note some of the toyhouse stuff is outdated LOL im still updating some of these profiles#but yeah. im autistic about these things#mail#buddyfrjend

Regency undergarments: take two (a rant). (Also, turning a shapeless sack into a petticoat.)
A while back I made a pair of Regency stays using the Bernhardt pattern (this dud of a project) and hated the fit of it, so I never really worked up the motivation to make the gown Iâve been dreaming of making that would go over the stays. The fit was wrong and the silhouette was wrong, and I just knew that I was going to hate myself for cutting into my special fabric Iâd bought for the gown. (Although, I finally tracked down a store that still sells the fabric Iâm using, so at least I can order more if I screw up now.)
So I sucked it up and made a new pair of stays. I realized that the problem with the old stays was a combination of the gussets not being the right shape or depth, the entire stays pattern being just too short on me, the straps being too long (hence not getting any lift in the bust), the fact that I used bias binding instead of straight grain binding over the bust gussets (which caused them to stretch out and not offer any support), and my body type. The Bernhardt stays pattern is scaled based on the distance between your midaxillary line to the center of your spine at the level of the fullest part of your bust. Which I'm sure works for most people, except I have scoliosis at that particular level of my thoracic spine. So when I took my measurements, there's a 5-7 mm difference between my left and right, so the stays would be smaller and shorter if I scale them based on the left side measurement, and they would have too much room in the width if I go with the right side measurement. My bust is also just too small to fill out even a 1/2 inch gusset, and too firm and low-set to ever lift into that shelf effect. It just kind of wanted to slither down into the stays and flatten out. I decided that I didnât really feel like hand stitching in tiny bust gussets that werenât going to do their job, so I went with the underbust version of the Bernhardt pattern. That way, the top edge of the stays, plus a straight grain binding for reinforcement, would force my bust into the correct position.
And it worked. Sort of. All I wanted was the correct silhouette and I got it, so yeah. Iâm just a little really annoyed because I chose this pattern specifically because itâs cut on a partial bias in the center front, which should minimize wrinkling...and I still have a lot of wrinkling going on. But as this is an undergarment that will be completely hidden under the petticoat and dress, I guess itâs fine? Also, itâs still a pain to get into because itâs back lacing AND spiral laced, and my right arm does not like to do the things it needs to do to tighten spiral lacing properly. My only other complaint is that the wooden busk down the center front is kind of digging into my sternum with this new design, but Iâll deal. Since wrinkle-free stays are just not going to be a thing I am capable of making, maybe Iâll try for the c0rset a la paresseuse next time and do away with the lacing and wooden busk entirely.
Iâm not posting any pictures of the new stays because theyâre underbust, and the sheer fabric I used for the shift underneath leaves nothing to the imagination.
Anyway, then I needed to make a new petticoat because my first one was made for a much lower waistline than was correct for the 18teens. Since the gown I was trying to recreate was one of the straight fronted styles and dates circa 1810-1815, I didnât want a gathered bodice to the petticoat adding bulk under the gown. So I decided to use my bodice mockup I had originally made for the gown to make a fully bodiced petticoat this time around. This decision had the added bonus of testing to see whether the old pattern (drafted over the shitty old stays) still fits over the new, more period-correct stays.
And it does. (Donât judge the fact that it doesnât hide the shift. The over gown will be an apron front/bib front gown, so everything will be covered eventually.)
Hereâs a picture of the side/three quarter view. My left hand (yes, my left hand - this picture was taken in a mirror) is pushing the skirt in a little so that you can see where my underbust hits. The over gown will have a waist band that will actually define the empire waistline a little better.
Hereâs the side by side comparison of the old stays (left) vs the new (right). (You canât actually see the new stays under the petticoat, because modesty and stuff, but you can see the difference in shape they give.) See how flat and squashed the old ones made my already nonexistent bust look? Itâs like it was trying to be 1920s instead of 1810s-1820s (disclaimer: 1920s c0rsets did not look like this either). Whereas the top of the new stays ends at the empire waistline, and the shift underneath controls the bust, and I look like I actually have a bust to lift.
Iâm not really sure what kind of fabric the petticoat is made from. Itâs this weird textured, pebbly 100% cotton. My friend had bought it as a dress but she didnât think the style suited her, so she gave it to me instead. It wasnât really to my taste either and just kind of hung like a shapeless ankle-length sack. I had hoped to maybe make some slight alterations to make it more flattering, but it was also several sizes too big, so all the bodice seams were in weird places and the armscye was too low to work with. I ended up mutilating the dress and taking it apart to use the skirt for the petticoat skirt and the sleeve fabric for its bodice. (Yes, there are serged seams on the inside from the original garment, because they were already there and I didnât feel like redoing 7 or 8 long seams by hand.)
Here you can see the original dress didnât have nearly enough width at the hem to allow for walking, so I added a 20âł wide strip of plain (American/utility) cotton muslin that I gathered up in the center back.
Also, yes I know the pleats on either side of center back are supposed to face the other way. But itâs an undergarment that no oneâs ever going to see, and I donât feel like redoing them.
Anyway, I guess Iâm out of excuses for procrastinating this gown now.

A list of Firefox addons/extensions I use to make the internet usable, privacy focused and fast: (Note that you can use these on Firefox on mobile too! Firefox on mobile has addon support! You can stop ads and tracking even on mobile devices!)
Ublock Origin - Adblocker, easy. Don't use "Adblocker Plus" Ublock Origin and Twitch battle each other often, which usually Ublock Origin just keeps on trucking along longer and Twitch/Amazon can't afford/don't care to afford a lifelong battle.
Ghostery, Privacy Badger, DecentralEyes - Tracker blockers. You will no longer be tracked for what you click on and what websites you visit. I personally stack all three of these + Ublock Origin, which might be overkill and stepping over each other.
SponsorBlock - A Youtube centered addon that will skip sponsor/ad segments the youtuber actually puts in the video. Also will skip non-music segments in music videos, interaction reminders "Like comment and subscribe!", and a few other annoying things if you let it. Tweakable.
Better Twitter/Bring Twitter Back/Twitter Control Panel - I actually use all of these at the same time but you can pick and choose. Make Twitter function better and look better and use other default tabs than "For You" if you want to. TONS of tweaks to make the website better. Also consider Stylus and the script to deblur posts from nsfw twitters! Also I use a mobile client called "AeroTwitter" that is a hacked twitter client to do a buncha tweaks to mobile twitter, but I CAN'T gaurantee that one is safe since it's a custom client you are entering information and passwords into that is not the actual official twitter mobile app.
Consent-O-Matic - Did you know that those popups talking about cookies are basically asking to track you, and they LEGALLY have to have a way for you to decline but often hide it? Consent-O-Matic automatically handles those popups and declines tracking and only keeps the cookies for your browser that it needs to function on the website. Dark Reader - Dark Mode on the whole internet. You'll want to tweak this one most likely, turn it on for some websites/turn it off, different kinds of dark mode, but it's a life saver for the bright white internet for me. I use it on websites like Ebay and Amazon that are corporate White AF. Indie Wiki Buddy - This will insert over your google searches and attempt to steer you to independent fandom wikis, NOT Fandom the company and their websites. Sometimes fandoms will set up independent and better functioning websites than what Fandom Capital F offers. Since you know Fandom is an ad-filled corporate mess.
Return Youtube Dislike - Return Youtube Dislike. This will add a dislike button on videos again the public can see and make use of, but it uses its own database for dislikes since Youtube now obscures that info. Which means everyone who installs this is using their own collective dislikes database instead of youtubes official numbers. It will be less Accurate given that, but we need as many people using this plugin as possible to make dislike numbers using it accurate! Unhook: Remove Youtube Recommended and Shorts - This does a few things but I don't use its primary functions (since I like recommended and shorts) I use it to remove those annoying endcards on youtube since sometimes creators won't properly create space for them and they go over the actual video content that is still happening. Defund Wikipedia - It has come out a few times now that Wikipedia is perfectly funded and mostly seems to be seeking personal/corporate profit from these donation beggings. This will hide those begging popups when visited wikipedia during their dono drives. ClearURLs - You know that thing where you grab an amazon/google/pintrest link and it's long as FUCK? That's tracking business, and it's usually unneeded for the URL to function. ClearURLs will clear the tracking bits of URLs you copy and only leave the actually needed bit of the URL. Very handy for posting to Discord/Twitter. Reddit Enhancement Suite/RedReader on Mobile - Dark mode, use Old.Reddit on desktop by default. Tons of tweaks to make reddit look better and function better. Be aware that the only two browsers that exist are basically Firefox and Chrome. You may have heard of stuff like Brave and Opera, but they are literally just Chrome below the surface. Google allows other companies to rebrand Chrome like that and build on top of it.
The most popular browsers in different countries in 2012 and 2022.

Doom WADsâ Roulette (2008): Cold as Hell
I donât know how to start this review properly. So Iâll just say that this one will be one of the unorthodox ones where itâs based on just one playthrough (blind one I will add) and without screenshots.
Got it? Good! Letâs finish up the 2008 roster of WADs.
G10: Cold as Hell
Main author(s): Jonaya Riley
Release date: November 2004 (original version)/November 21st, 2008 (Special Edition)
Version(s) played: Special Edition
Required port compatibility: ZDoom/GZDoom (depending on version)
Levels: 16 (intro map + 15 regular maps)
Cold as Hell is a total conversion WAD created in 2004. Now you might be thinking how this WAD got Cacoward in 2008 when it was released four years before that.
As I said, this WAD was released in November 2004 (development started in early 2004). From what Iâve gathered, people liked this WAD, but it had problems with stability and bugs alongside other controversial features in its gameplay. The 2008 version is supposed to have much fewer bugs (those that happened were patched out) and controversial stuff being toned down.
The WADs plot focuses on the alternative 1950s in the fictional US base in Greenland, where our protagonist, Henry Mills, the veteran of WWII and the Korean War, is sent there. This base is supposed to be his final post before retirement, but letâs get real people. Before retirement almost always means shit about to happen/is happening.
I played this WAD in the Action mode (or as the WAD calls it â Combat Style); these modes affect the mechanics that I will talk about later.
Now letâs see what the freezing hell known as Greenland has to offer.
Do you like snow and military/research buildings full of brown and grey? Well good! Because Cold as Hell will offer you that. Iâm not saying this WAD looks bad, far from it, but I feel like itâs somewhere in between being diversive and bland.
Like, yes, the maps donât feel entirely repetitive and each has at least one great-looking area (the final map or two especially tend to go nuts), but at the same time, after reaching the second chapter, I started to feel like a mouse going in circles in a maze looking for cheese in the endless parade of snow upon snow outdoors and grey/brown corridors/rooms/bathrooms indoors.
I donât have anything bad to say about the music. I might be too used to action-filled tracks instead of the ones in this WAD, but at least I understand that these tracks fit in a snow base overrun by demons while you are playing as an average soldier doe instead of badassery incarnate Doomguy.
Cold as Hell is more unlinear than a typical WAD. You have a set of objectives and you can basically do them in any order. Sometimes you might complete the objective by accident or replace one with another when the plot moves forward. Personally, while I didnât mind most of them, I feel like there were at least one or two objectives that were annoying and made me run around the part of the base like a maniac trying to find a key or any other important item.
Oh, and by the way, the keys are now brass, silver, and/or steel; they are smaller and their colors make them harder to notice. You might run into one of these by accident.
The WAD is based on a hub system. Once you reach the second chapter, you can choose which part of the base to tackle first. If you donât know where to go, take a look at the objectives; they show you where to do the task.
Like games that popularized this trend, this WAD has notes and audiologs scattered throughout the levels. While they mostly focus on the lore, some of them have helpful information for your objectives so itâs worth taking a look at them.
Cold as Hell also introduces the bleeding mechanic, where you have a chance to start doing it after getting hit by an enemy (no matter if itâs a scratch or a fireball). In case that happens, you can use a bandage that you can find lots of it around the base. Since I played on the Action mode, the bleeding rarely happened and I was walking with a full stock of 30 bandages in my pocket for at least half of the WAD.
One of the bigger cons of this WAD is that you move slower than the original Doomguy. At best you might be running slightly faster than walking in the original games. As if thatâs not bad enough, you get even slower when you are low on health. Good luck trying to dodge fireballs while you are moving as slow as molasses.
Would I call Cold as Hell hard? Yes. Is it hard for the good reasons? Not really. As I mentioned above, because you move slower than usual in WADs, itâs harder to dodge enemy projectiles, not to mention the additional, new projectile sprites that are harder to read and the fact that you might end up screwed when you end up without ammo in the magazine and you end up reloading your gun (itâs automatic in Action).
Also, yes, there is a reloading mechanic. And honestly, I think I experienced worse stuff in other WADs with this but I donât know.
And by the way, I donât think there is even a singular piece of armor in this WAD.
But at least you donât fight the hitscanners and there are moments where fellow soldiers help you.
Changing the subject, Cold as Hell adds some new enemies, most notably the previously mentioned new hell noble and two imps, along with some of the original monsters acting differently (with Pain Elementals now acting closer to Cacos).
The worst new enemy to fight were grey, melee imps, who acted like a kid on a sugar rush, jumping all around and making you waste half of your ammo in a clip most of the time before actually hitting them, and what feels like ripping your balls off by simple touching them; the windup is that small.
But at least the new weapons sound good. And they function rather well overall, with most of these acting like original guns with some stuff changes to be more akin to the post-WWII weapons plus the flamethrower and Garand that can be upgraded to rapid-firing bullets.
Now I know about the glitches and stability issues that haunted the original version of this WAD. All I can say is that I didnât experience something like that while playing the special version. It seems to be bug-free.
Cold as Hell is a mixed bag for me. I like some of the WADâs ideas like the overall location and weapons, but I feel like for every good idea thereâs also a bad one (that and unfunny combat most of the time). It might be great from a technical point for the 2004/2008 standards, but overall, this WAD is not for my tastes.
And thatâs all when it comes to the 2008 roster of WADs. Well... almost all. I still have to check if BGPA is as bad to play as Operation Overlord. Iâll try to play one to two maps in that WAD and just speak my short thoughts on it. I wonât be doing a review on it. After that, Iâll start making Revenant Awards 2008.
See you all next time.

How To Make Money With Blogging
How to make money with blogging: New to your Blogging stuff? Here's your guide to making money blogging as a Blogger. Most Bloggers out there are keen to start making money with blogging as soon as they can. But the truth is, it is not that easy. Anyways, to make it easy is the reason why this article is published. Ezine ArticlesÂ
As a new blogger, it can be difficult to know where to start. You hear people make money from their blogs, but you don't quite understand how.
In this guide to making money from a blog, we'll show you how to make your first $$$ off your blog.
I know. $100 doesn't sound like a lot of money. But this is just the beginning. Once you understand the basics and start earning your first income, you can rise and make as much money as you want.Â
How To Make Money With BloggingÂ
First, it's essential for me to remind you that blogging income doesn't happen overnight. You need to blog, build an audience that trusts you, and grow regular traffic before you start earning.
The rich blogger lifestyle you see on social media comes with a lot of hard work, so make sure you're ready to get the job done.
As a newbie blogger, you probably don't have a lot of traffic yet, nor do you have a huge email list. So the idea here is to start small and work your way up from there as your blog grows.
You have to be an entrepreneur to make money blogging. You may need to sell ads, promote a product, or even write an e-book. We will help you choose the best tactics for you.
How to Make oney Blogging
Now, let's move on to the real topic which is Tips on how to earn money Blogging;
Make money from affiliate marketing
Affiliate marketing is when you recommend a product or service to your audience via custom tracking links and then earn a referral commission for each purchase after someone clicks on your link.
Show Google AdSense in WordPress
Google Adsense is an easy way to monetize your blog. All you have to do is add a Google script to your website and start showing ads. You get paid every time a user clicks on an ad. These are called CPC ads. But it is worth noting that Google Adsense is very technical in terms of approving websites. Your website has to be exceptionally built.
Use a WordPress ad plugin to sell ads directly
Selling banner ad space directly on your website can be more profitable. Instead of having to rely on a middleman to take some of the money, negotiate the price and terms yourself. Trust me, this is very lucrative. It can make you rich instantly if done properly.
Sell sponsored blog posts
Some bloggers are not interested in showing ads to their audience and are wondering how to monetize a blog without ads.
With ad networks, you lose control of the content displayed on your website. Some readers will be annoyed or offended by ads, and more and more people are using ad blockers.
An alternative way to generate blog revenue is through sponsorship.
Sponsoring works the same way it does in sports, television, or any other industry. Basically, a company pays you to showcase their product, talk about it, and promote it to your readers.
To get started, it's a good idea to put together a one-page media kit that includes traffic statistics, social media tracking, audience demographics, and any other data that will make your site more attractive to advertisers. You can then contact the company to negotiate a sponsorship deal.
Get paid to write reviews
As with sponsored posts, you can also make money by writing paid reviews on your site.
This is a slightly different method of generating revenue from affiliate review sites as mentioned above. Instead, you can try products related to your niche for free and even get paid to write reviews.

How To Make Money With Blogging
How to make money with blogging: New to your Blogging stuff? Here's your guide to making money blogging as a Blogger. Most Bloggers out there are keen to start making money with blogging as soon as they can. But the truth is, it is not that easy. Anyways, to make it easy is the reason why this article is published.Ezine ArticlesÂ
Now, let's move on to the real topic which is Tips on how to earn money Blogging;
Instead, you can try products related to your niche for free and even get paid to write reviews.

how i would run sm: Red Velvet edition
back to the series with the next logical group, Red Velvet. sm's first group after Exo and my ult girl group, similarly under a cut as per last post
triple debut (2014-2015): so to start, i actually dont mind Happiness as RV's debut and that its ot4. Yeri was really young, so i wouldnt really change those first two eras (Be Natural is my beloved but its a single and a remake so it doesnt count as their first cb in my eyes). what i would change is the schedules and some promo.
firstly, like Exo i think RV would have benefited from some sort of webtoon or lore comic starting at the second debut for ICC bc thats when we start to get hints that something in Cake Land isnt right. i have a lot of thoughts on RV lore/storyline which we will cover in the upcoming kwangya post (after nct and aespa posts bc they are integral to my version of kwangya).
second, Seulgi should have solo debuted in 2015 between Dumb Dumb and the lesbian christmas song (Wish Tree was iconic and we love Lee Jooyoung). shes been RV's ace since pre-debut, everyone knew and loved her and acknowledged her talents, and she was in multiple mvs of her sunbaes (Henry's Fantastic was the best). Seulgi being the first solo RV member feels right in every way, and while it would be very different than what we got for 28 Reasons, i think that might be partially a good thing.
the start of the success era (2016-2017): Russian Roulette was perfect and i have nothing to say about it. The only thing I would have done differently for them in 2016 was pushed for more solo/unit content, like station songs, vlogs, arts and crafts vids? like just stuff where theyre having fun and hanging out with no pressure. the main 2017 change tho is Joy solo debut. sm is so fucking stupid for NOT capitalizing on the attention Joy got from The Liar and His Lover, a show all about how perfect and amazing she is as a singer! like have her prepare and record between Red Flavor and Peek a Boo and have Peek a Boo pushed back a week or two. the concerts were a good idea, but they really should have capitalized on Joy's performance more. im still annoyed she hasnt properly debuted especially bc clips of her singing from TLAHL was what made me look into RV in the first place and why Joy is my girl ult of ults
Bad Boy (2018): id push Bad Boy back a little bc the time between PaB and BB feels too short, especially going by my plan. other than that, no major notes since the eras were pretty good and the concerts were a good idea. maybe a bit more of a rest after RBB bc of the short turn around time between that and the Japan cb + NA tour
ReVe Fest pt.1 (2019): the Ellie Goulding collab was amazing. ReVe Fest day 1 was a mess, and i say that as a Zimzalabim supporter. the styling was horrific and it all needs to go, the mv should have been more circusy and less performance vid imo, and the song is fine but maybe a less chanty chorus? ReVe Fest day 2 was good and idk why people hate Umpah Umpah bc it was cute and summery like it should have been. and then the Finale, Psycho was one of the best eras taken from us too quickly. i mean the only thing to change is to stop wendy from falling bc that killed the whole momentum and their careers for a hot minute.
the hiatus (2020): now to be clear, i am not blaming wendy for her injury or suggesting she should have come back early. its good she rested and healed properly and came back slowly to make sure everything was okay. every idol should do that. that being said, we should have gotten an ot4 album even if it was just a mini. the girls basically did nothing for a whole year waiting for her and it really did hurt them/their momentum. they should have had more solo content through the year alongside the like two group things, then Seulrene debut in june like originally planned, and then and ot4 album in fall or winter.
back on track? (2021): ot5 being at smtown was great and got everyone hyped to see the group after a full year of hiatus and they teased a cb at the performance. and then wendy killed the hype by doing her solo debut 4 months later with a ballady slow song. and she had the audacity to be like "omg i feel so bad for making everyone wait and then doing a solo" like girl wtf?? anyway gripes about her aside. Queendom was cute, but it felt lackluster after the long wait and felt more like a b-side than a title. also the mv/concepts teased all this magic and powers and a whole universe only to give us literally nothing after the first minute. why were they in a post office when the teasers were about the antique shop?? i would have changed the mv a lot to either expand on the magic or fit the teasers better.
ReVe Fest pt.2 (2022): sm cancelled the concert (rightly) bc the girls got covid but then never rescheduled bc there were "no venues open" even tho the same thing happened to dream and they got rescheduled in like two weeks so what the fuck is that about? um anyway they should have done a concert after Feel My Rhythm but also not named it ReVe Fest bc theres no point and they arent connected. ALSO FMR was beautiful and all but what happened to the ballet concept which wasnt in the mv and why did they not expand on the weird half story with Dark Queen Seulgi and the garden etc? also also FMR felt like a b-side too which was disappointing especially after queendom. and im skipping ahead to birthday bc that was actually the biggest let down of the year. the concept/teaser photos had literally nothing to do with the mv or song, the song itself was easily their worst title and did not sound good in any way, the mv styling wasnt great for pretty much everyone, the cake ver selling out before preorders even ended and before they showed us what it was/what was in it was super annoying. birthday is the biggest let down era imo and ESPECIALLY after the beauty of Wildside. Wildside was the only release in 2022 for RV that i actually 100% enjoyed from the style to the mv to the song to the plot in the mv. like it was perfect and exactly what we should have gotten as a Korean title and era. i would have absolutely done something similar for birthday, especially with the grunge outfits/concept
future plans/ideas: Yeri and Irene solo debuts, Seulrene cb, Joy actual debut this time, more solo schedules especially for the actresses, more Yeri vlogs, Seulgi cb with a better song, my highly indulgent KaiJoyYuta trio, an even more indulgent trio of Seulgi/BoA/Yunho, i think thats all i have off the top of my head.
next week nct u and the way nct overall would function before we get into the actual units
#how i would run sm series#i wouldnt really change rv music much besides these past couple years#mostly just schedules and promo and shifting debuts#they will come back strong in the kwangya post dw tho#also if you made it to the end and want clarification on anything lmk#ik this is mostly just me shouting to the void but i hope at least someone is reading this and enjoying it

*sheds off the week* at last i can get back to my proper job: crying about cute characters online
(and jic the reply didn't go through, no worries about the post!! i wasn't annoyed at all, i love doing long thought rambles like these!! but i'm also pretty bad at tone regulators, particularly through text, so i apologize if i ever come off as curt--i don't mean to be rude or unkind in any way, it's mostly a combination of me trying to properly articulate my thoughts and a low spoon count that's divided between tone modulation and writing out my thoughts > <)
anyways! onwards with character thoughts, under a 'read more' since i ramble đ;
(*heads up, the rambles are mostly kimchay related--they are definitely my favorite kids lol. i think we pretty much agree on Phayu/Rain and i don't mean to completely lose track of them, but the kimchay thoughts are really interesting to me and i'm having a lot of fun digging into them â¤)
i still think we're slightly missing each other when it comes to our points on emotional maturity re kimchay? which is partially me, or at least i see now something i could've articulated better--when i said Chay's an adult, i didn't mean he was done growing. we're always growing. but he's already had to figure a lot of himself out in a way a young adult typically does. like you brought up, i also changed a ton between 17 and 21 years old--but that's because i was figuring out how to look after me, what sort of person i was outside of everyday familial influences, which responsibilities i prioritized instead of my parents' priorities and i had the space to do that for the first time in my life. there's always more growing to do as a person and we all change, no matter which age, but like. to go back to that example, i changed way more as a person those first 3 years after high school than i did the 5 years following those. honestly, i changed so much just those first 2 years that i can barely remember that person. and again, it's just that thing of figuring out what i prioritize, what i value, what i want from life, vs what i thought my parents wanted. and it wasn't like i was consciously thinking "oh, what would mom do?" before that, there was just so much subconscious stuff that i had picked up from my parents that i hadn't even realized i'd internalized until i had that independence/space to just be me.
so with Chay, there's a lot about himself that he's already figured out. there's still tons to discover, obviously, but he's grounded in a way that a lot of teenagers typically aren't. a 17yo and a 21yo dating isn't weird. i donât even mean in terms of 'law' or 'culture', i mean it's genuinely not odd to me because 4 years is not a big age difference? i do tend to doubt the relationship will last long, but that's just because i see both parties growing at different rates and they can grow into different people in a short period of time. it's not really an age thing (imo), it's a growing rate/self-discovery thing.
tumblr posts are a bad spot to discuss life philosophies so i'll bring it back to characters lol, but this is part of why Chay and Kim feel so rock solid to me. i'm struggling to explain what i mean exactly, but this is also part of what i meant by emotional maturity--that they've individually settled into themselves and they're both grounded in a way a lot of 17 and 21yos aren't. their circumstances are buck wild, but they themselves aren't. a better way to explain this will probably come after i hit 'reblog' lol, but i'm currently coming back to my analysis that Kim and Chay's relationship tension is primarily external, with very little internal drama. in isolation, they're very lowkey and just mesh really well because they both know what they want (even when Kim's trying to deny himself), but drama enters when their circumstances are strained, such as Kim panicking when his mafia family got more involved in both their lives or Chayâs capacity to deal with emotional upheaval gets reached (like in ep12). and this very compatible meshing is due in part to factors like relatable life experiences, but also they aren't trying to figure out so much about their individual selves alongside figuring out how to act in a relationship.
(which, i suppose if i do want to bring back the original context of this post, is another part of why Phayu/Rain makes me frown. Phayu knows who he is and what he wants, Rain is very much at the start of it. and that's basically how their first episode goes, which is also why it comes off as so...i hesitate to use the term 'predatory' because i think that's more of my personal discomfort speaking versus a proper characterization, but Phayu enters knowing what he wants and what he's pursuing, in comparison to Rain who hasn't even fully realized he's attracted to guys. not my kink personally, but i feel like they still could've done...something? with that. like, Rain discovering there's a world of new things to try and recklessly throwing himself into it, narrative is him figuring out how to do that. and contrasted with Phayu realizing not everything needs to be so settled and that he loves being liked more than he likes being admired. or something, idk. literally anything with a plot instead of kinks and Phayu being pretty as he makes alarmingly pushy moves on Rain. đ)
.
as a quick sidenote on Kim's level of emotional maturity though--or more specifically, your examples. i swear this isn't directed at you, this is just something in fandom that massively irks me, but this line:
"Kim is a mess and doesnât know how to relate to other people apart from his music - which he uses at the end of the series to tell Chay he cares about him, when he failed to express the same feeling with words."
-> Kim is a mess: yes, agreed, i love my boy so much
-> Kim only knows how to communicate through music: Kim first tried to talk to Chay! sorry i sound irritated, i swear it's not at you, i'm just! aa!!!! people!!!! he called Chay! he wanted to talk! CHAY BLOCKED HIM. bodies in the bar aside (oh Kim, i get where you were coming from but we have some stuff to work on here), Kim tried to talk to Chay. when Chay sets a firm boundary and tells him to fuck off, Kim returns back to the first thing they bonded over--music--to try to reach out to him again. but it's not like Kim doesn't know how to talk about his feelings at all. frankly, i think people don't give enough credit to the fact that Chay loves communicating via song (in the middle of the street even!), but regardless of that, Kim uses his words in canon too. "Kim *only* knows how to sing his feelings, he doesn't know how to (and therefore never tries) to speak them" is fanon.
i don't disagree that he has a lot of trauma to work through, but what held him back with Chay was fear. not an inability to recognize what he wants and likes, or a complete inability to communicate his feelings via words (sorry, Iâm still complaining at the general fanon here).
.
moving on đŚ this next bit isn't quite about the characters or even really the rest of our discussion, but it's something i feel really passionate about: your point about Chay's choice of major being impractical as a sign of immaturity.
i mean this gently, but my challenge: why is it immature for Chay to want to study music?
you brought this point up specifically as an example to show how Chay's "still a teen". but...why? how is a desire to study music a show of immaturity?
to me, immaturity would be if he chose that major to get famous or get close to someone he admires, because that would be carrying unrealistic expectations and pursuing unrelated aims within it. but he's not--he's going into it because he likes music. which is an excellent reason to pick a music major! he's looking at studying it for at least 4 years, it's good that he's passionate about it!
you called it impractical--but is it? it's not easy, nor typically a lucrative line of work, but that doesn't make it impractical. there are tons of people making a living in creative fields, why not Chay too?
why is it only practical for Chay to pick something that 'should' make him lots of money quickly? because he's poor? i understand that this was absolutely not your intention or meaning, but just take a second to unpack that wording: should art/music/"impractical" creative majors be populated solely by middle-class/rich kids? are poor people's stories not worth telling?
again, i'm genuinely not trying to be mean right now nor purposefully distort your words--i'm saying this because i got the "it's not practical" speech from my parents too. but the heart of that speech isn't logic: it's fear.
fear of taking risks, if i want to get specific.
personally, as someone still unpacking that fear and weird sense of guilt/shame that comes with ""not being practical"" even if it'd make me happier, Chay's ability to pursue what he wants (even with his level of pessimism!) is a point or three in his favor, not against him.
katharienne replied to your post "things i would change in lita if i were in charge:..."
Excccelent! I was curious what you had to say about LITA and it turns out you had similar problems with the show as me. PhayuRain makes me simply uncomfortable exactly because Rain act like a child all the time. Heâs so babyish that I donât want to see him with relationship with anyone, even Ple would look like a predator next to Rai AND COME ON. It be more enjoyable for me personally (not judging others) if the kink remained something they explored in the bedroom. The relationship is just so unequal in all aspects and I seriously donât see what Rain brings to the table. Why is Phayu so enamored? They have nothing in common but sex and Phayu thinking like a big strong man. Thatâs not enough for me :( I enjoyed SkyPai though immensely. Skyâs independence makes him a good partner to Pai to whom! He also acts babyish in private! But we can see itâs something that gets them both going not Skyâs whole personality. And Skyâs snark in the whole series is A+, really. AND letâs compare that to KimChay. Same age difference, unequal standing, one character underage, the other literally using him but it doesnât feel predatorish at any point because it remained fairly innocent as far as we knew, it was based on emotional connection and the older character was revealed to have many insecurities that made him more on the teenagers level. Yes, Kim was emotionally dumbed down for Chay and it was a valid narrative choice!
i think you're kinda dancing around the central issue that comes up with me for Phayu/Rain, which also links to a larger problem...in general, really, but fandom specifically. and i'm going to start with your last point, because i disagree with that kimchay assessment. it actually links to a minor beef i have with kp fandom, and you all know how strongly i feel about kimchay (lol). so, here's the thing:
Chay is an adult in kinnporsche.
this is an issue in general terms, but fandom in particular focuses on the number but not the context when it comes to age. 18 is considered to be the age of majority because, in very broad generalization, 18 is when people start gaining a lot more personal responsibility. it's not about hitting that number. 18 is when people (generally speaking) start getting jobs, go to college, move out, some combination of, etc. even in situations where someone remains partially dependent on their parents/guardians (ie person moves out to college but is still financially dependent, or they live at home but got a job)--that person is still gaining some sort of independence from the situation they grew up in. and with more independence, comes more personal responsibility and personal growth, and with more personal responsibility and personal growth, comes more life experience and emotional maturity.
Chay might be 17, but he grew up fast. he didn't have a choice. Porsche did everything he could to give Chay a childhood, but we know he's working multiple jobs while also dropping into school occasionally and we know Arthee was an incompetent guardian. Chay was already looking after himself quite a bit in a way that an adult would look after themself, but during canon Chay's on his own. which means he's looking after himself completely. he's managing his own meals, care-taking, budget, schooling, appointments, and general day-to-day responsibilities. he doesn't have his own job, but in every other respect (including a lot of financial responsibility), he is acting as his own agent the way an adult does. his 17yo experience is vastly different from the standard 17yo or average high school student. there's no 'dumbing down' Kim's emotional maturity. Kim's very shy and has a lot trauma he hasn't unpacked, but that's not a reflection on (or even really has anything to do with) his emotional maturity. he's also been forced to being very independent at a very young age due to circumstance. Chay and Kim are operating on very similar levels of responsibility when they first meet.
and it's not about the nature of Kim and Chay's relationship either. the show simply chose not to add a sexual aspect to their storyline (probably moreso due to the actors than their story itself), but in the context of the story, sex wouldn't have been out of place had it been included. sex as an act is very intimate, very impactful, and very vulnerable. it can have big repercussions on participants and it's also just a big whirlwind of emotions and chemicals. this is why people can get concerned when people with little life experience start having sex--it's a question of is that person physically and emotionally ready for what can happen with sex, do they have the capability of taking that personal responsibility and consequences, etc. this isn't to say there aren't adults who aren't responsible and/or ready for sex but are having it anyways, or that people have to be 100% ready on all fronts before taking that leap, or even that sex has to be a big deal for everyone doing it--but you generally want anyone having sex to have to have the capability of taking responsibility for any repercussions (physical, emotional, etc) that might occur. and that level of responsibility can have result in even more pressure on someone with less life experience in handling a lot of personal responsibility. proportionately speaking, it can be a bigger impact. most people underage haven't had a chance to gain enough experience with that level of responsibility by nature of having not been alive for very long, and sex is a big ball to juggle alongside the rest of the coming-of-age mess.
and the weird thing is, this is literally a plotline in lita! Sky was left alone in a new city at presumably age 15. these circumstances left him isolated and vulnerable to Gun's grooming. he didn't have a network of support to turn to when Gun started abusing him, his friends didn't know how to approach someone being abused (they were teens too!), and as a result, Sky went through a period of extremely traumatic abuse that ended with him being gangraped. people don't give Sky enough credit for walking away and pulling himself back together after that tbh, because Gun was clearly an emotional rock for him during that time period when he didn't feel like he had any other, and letting go of that is terrifying and hard, even when the current situation is really bad. it's a very classic abuse scenario. this isn't to say no teenager can ever live on their own (i haven't watched it yet, but tortoise tells me the eclipse plays with the dynamics of this coming-of-age period for its characters very well), but lita makes a pretty strong point of how this sort of situation can make someone more vulnerable to predators/abuse.
which brings me to Rain. i don't have any issue with him acting childish, or being naive, or wanting to be spoiled, or anything like that. i think that's a personality choice, not a reflection on emotional maturity. i also really like that Phayu was just enamored with the guy who held an umbrella for him in the rain. i don't think attraction needs to be 'justified' beyond 'they like that' and i'm glad lita didn't try to make it into a 'big' thing. my concern is that Rain's never really had a chance for any independent growth.
not to throw another show into this mix, but in the animated series RWBY, there's a background pairing between two characters, Ren and Nora. these two were orphaned as children and have been surviving together since--they're best friends who eventually turn romantic. but, after they've been together for a bit, Nora realizes that she thinks of herself as a part of their unit more than she thinks of herself as her own agent ("we've always been 'Ren and Nora', i don't know how to be 'just Nora'."), so she asks Ren if they can take a break from the romantic aspect of their relationship, at least for a bit, so that she can have some time and space to figure out who 'just Nora' is--with the underlying message being that you can care about someone a lot and they can be a big part of you, but that's still all they are: a part of you.
so the show making Rain still highly dependent on his parents--he's still living at home, his mom's still managing his meals and colds, they're still fully responsible for things like Rain's transportation (Rain wanted to call them before roadside assistance when his car broke down combined with the lack of knowledge that he even had to maintain his car (vs him knowing but ignoring it))--it makes him literally childish. and then they further play on that with Phayu coming in and scolding Rain to do his homework, make all his meals, taking over his care-taking, etc. Rain hasn't had any time being 'just Rain' and this tips the character and relationship dynamics from Rain choosing to be childish or making risky choices (which is completely fair, everyone's entitled to making stupid decisions), to "does Rain even understand the choices he's making right now???"
the last ~2.5 episodes of Phayu and Rain's arc try to characterize Rain as someone who is a little childish and naive and just likes to be spoiled--all of which are fine, and in isolation the Phayu/Rain dynamics in those last 2 episodes are pretty fun--but the landing doesn't work because the writers didn't establish Rain properly in the beginning. it's still very discomforting to me. and it's not like it would've been hard to fix? or at least make it less concerning? just putting Rain in his own dorm (even if he visited home on weekends) and switching up some dialogue from "...that's a thing???" to "....i thought i could ignore that check engine light? đ
" (as a specific example) and even including him more of the school activities would've given Rain some of that needed independence/room for some personal soul-searching. granted, i watched the beginning episodes mostly just waiting for Prapai and Sky's arc to happen, but i have no idea what Rain and Phayu's character arcs were. nothing really happened to them besides kink (i am still so salty about the lack of kidnapping aftermath, their kidnapping arc has so much potential laying around untapped). ...i digress. it just really sucks that the entire Phayu/Rain arc was one big missed opportunity, primarily because the writers couldn't let go of their kinks long enough to remember they had a story to write. >:T
#i swear i didn't mean to get philosophical at the end there#i just feel REALLY strongly about this#in general terms but also for Chay#practicality isn't really something he nor Porsche factor into but tbh i'm not even arguing characterization at this point#like i know it's a widespread cognitive dissonance thing not an intended sentiment#but we gotta start somewhere when it comes to unpacking it#kinnporsche#love in the air#hands down best part of getting older was figuring out:#(me) ''i know this isn't smart but-''#(my best friend) ''but you think you'll be happier. why does the possibility of security trump your pursuit of happiness?''#*well. i'm still figuring this out. but words to live by.#...i will shush now đ

Found Family
holy shit did this one get way out of hand. Donât expect them all to be this long because hot damn this is a monster compared to literally everything else but it just wouldnât stop
(should I have expected this? probably. we all know how I am about found family.)
anyway enjoy 4.5k words ig
based on this post | @maribatmarch-2k21Â | find more here
***
When Marinette had been chosen to intern with Monsieur Wayneâs PA, she hadnât been expecting anything special. Sure, the Waynes were an odd breed and generally considered strange, but Marinette hadnât actually expected to have much contact with themâif any at all.
She was here to earn credit for her business degree.
Instead, she has⌠well. She thinks sheâs been somehow inducted into the Wayne family, mostly on accident and kind of as a joke.
That is, until it very much wasnât.
***
Her first mistake, she supposes, was being too good at her job.
Marinette is an old hand at keeping track of multiple moving parts and riding herd on stubborn people whoâd otherwise be too distracted or goofing off. (She was the Courtâs leader for more than just being the latest in a long line of Ladybugs, after all.)
After the first two days shadowing Selinaââplease, darling. Ms Kyle is so formalââand learning the broad strokes of the job, Marinette felt confident enough to dig her nails in and get to work. Selina spent most of her time dedicated to international tasks and arranging Monsieur Waynesâ private affairsâall of which was highly classified and not discussed with Marinetteâso she turned her attention to inter-company affairs.
Her first order of business was personally meeting with as many people in managerial positions as she could get. Not a requirement for the job per se, but these were people sheâd have to interact with often and Maman had always stressed the importance of building connections in the workplace.
âPeople,â she would say, âare far more willing to do what you want them to when youâve endeared yourself to them.â
So Marinette takes that advice and spends her breaks and lunches charming employees and giving baked goods to security guards and learning the names of the cleaning crew. She doesnât speak to the department heads, because Selina handles their correspondences, but everyone else is free game as far as sheâs concerned.
She becomes a well-recognized face astoundingly quickly.
***
Marinette probably shouldâve seen the rumors coming.
Itâs common practice in not only the Wayne family, but in most business conglomerates, for the children to quickly rise through the ranks of their companyâif not just handed a high position right off the bat.
It took barely a month before the eldest was all but running Human Resources, and the second was placed as Head of Security practically out of nowhere. Monsieur Drake is the youngest (and most terrifyingly calculated) CEO to ever hold Wayne Enterprises, even if he does share the title with his father.
The other three are still too young or have yet to express an interest in the company, but people say itâs only a matter of time.
The track record speaks for itself, even if Marinette wishes it didnât.
As a girl whoâd come mostly out of nowhere and found herself with far more divisive sway in the company than she had any right to, itâs no wonder everyone thinks sheâs some sort of secret Wayne finally coming out of hiding.
Marinette had nearly choked on her coffee when Selina dropped the bomb of that particular tidbit of company gossip.
âMost think youâve been unofficially adopted,â Selina tells her, looking far too amused for Marinetteâs liking. âSeeing as youâre too old for official avenues now.â
Marinette looks up warily from the schedule sheâs rearranging. Selina had all but shoved the thing at her a month ago when she started suggesting more efficient ways of managing the CEOsâ valuable time.
âOnly most? Does that mean the rest have common sense?â
Selinaâs grin widens even further, if thatâs possible, and Marinette regrets her question even before the older woman starts speaking.
âOh, of course not!â she laughs delightedly. âThe rest are hoping to hear news of wedding bells. Itâs high time someone swept a Wayne off the market, donât you think?â
***
âSo youâre the new little sister I keep hearing about.â
Marinette stares up through narrowed eyes at the brightly smiling Dick Grayson. In her stomach, there are already the beginnings of resignation starting to form.Â
âItâs nice to finally meet you!â
This man is going to bring her nothing but trouble. She can tell.
***
Dick takes a liking to her. And she, against her better judgment, finds herself doing the same to him.
Itâs a little hard not to, if sheâs being honest. Heâs bright and bubbly and brings her bagels during his morning break without her ever having asked.
It takes practically no time at all before Marinette considers him a friend, relaxing when heâs near and laughing openly at his ridiculous jokes. Despite being the head of HR, heâs not great at the whole âprofessionalâ thing and often employees will walk by to find him draped across a chair or balancing precariously on the edge of her desk while she tries and fails to get some work done while heâs around.
It really doesn't help all of the âMarinette is a Wayneâ rumors running around. Especially when Dick starts pointedly calling her every variation of âlittle sisterâ that he can think of just to annoy her (and, she knows, because he thinks the entire situation hilarious).
***
Three weeks after befriending Dick, Selina all but shoves her into Monsieur Drakeâs office and, in no uncertain words, says, âHeâs your problem now.â
Marinette blinks at what she can describe as nothing other than a disaster area and just⌠sighs.
Tim blinks back at her.
The motion is somehow both completely blank and filled with an uncomfortable amount of knowing at the same time. There is also, she notices, a frankly ludicrous amount of concealer caked beneath his eyes and more coffee cups scattered on every flat surface than Marinette has ever seen in her life.
She knows his schedule like the back of her hand seeing as she spends hours of her day pouring over it to make sure everything runs smoothly. He has no prior engagements for the next three hours.
âYouâre not going to take a nap just because I ask, are you?â
He snorts. âAbsolutely not.â
She nods, having expected the answer; her phone was already at her ear before he even finished speaking. âHey, Dick!â she greets, sounding brighter than she feels at the moment, and watches as Tim stiffens in front of her. âYeah, no. I was just wondering if youâre busy right now.â She pauses. âOh, good! Can you come up to Timâs office for me? Yeah, I need you to knock him out so I can fix his dumpster fire of an office.â
Tim has since started waving his hands frantically at her, panic setting in behind his eyes.
Marinette stares at him, unmoved. âThanks, Dick! Youâre the best!â
The silence after she hangs up is deafening.
âI donât know if I should be impressed by the ease youâre manipulating me or pissed off that youâre doing it in the first place.â
She hums thoughtfully. âDoes your decision have any bearing on my future employment?â
His eyes squint. ââŚNo.â
Marinette shrugs, mind already whirling with what sheâll need to get done first and calculating how long sheâll likely have to get it done. âThen I think you should skip right over both of those and land on resignation as quickly as possible, Monsieur, because youâre going to have to get used to it regardless.â
Itâs silent for a long moment, and she worries for just a second that sheâs severely crossed some sort of line. Then Tim bursts out laughing instead of, you know, firing her like he probably should have.
âOh, yeah. Youâre going to fit right in here.â
Marinette doesnât ask where the âhereâ is. Sheâs pretty sure she already knows.
***
It takes ten days for Marinette to wrangle Timâs life into something resembling order. His office is clean and organized to his liking. Sheâs developed a system of filing so that all paperwork goes through her and is quickly sorted into âcan be handled by Marinetteâ, âforge his signature and tell him about it laterâ, and âactually important enough to have Tim read throughâ.
His schedule is the most efficient itâs ever been and Marinette is quickly honing the skill of getting him properly dressed and out of his office in under thirty minutes. (Dick is, thankfully, a great teacher and has little to no qualms about giving her the key to all his little brotherâs weaknesses.)
Selina stares at her when Marinette all but drags Tim from his office, a folder tucked neatly under his arm and the sugary monstrosity of a caffeinated beverage sheâs bribed him with in her own, with a whole ten minutes to spare before his meeting with the Board.
âMy dear,â she says solemnly, âyou are positively magic.â
She doesnât even look up from where sheâs simultaneously wrangling Timâs hair into submission and laying his tie down flat. âYou have no idea.â
***
She knows Tim is capable of professionality. Sheâs seen the cool facade he pulls up in front of the Board members and the kind but impersonal smile he uses on the employees of Wayne Enterprises. (He is not the Ice Prince of the Wayne family, but Marinette believes he should have some equally ruthless sounding title.) He is aloof and sharp and every inch the businessman people praise him to be.
Sheâs seen it. And yetâŚÂ
âMonsieur. Why are all the Lexcorp contracts I gave you done in crayon?â
Tim doesnât stop messing with his Rubix cube or even look up at her when he says, âCause deadbeat fathers donât deserve the respect of a pen.â
Marinette is very tired. She does not have time for this. âWhat are you talking about?â
âLex is a bitchass absentee dad and I live to inconvenience him.â
âWhat about inconveniencing me?â she all but whines. âI canât hand him these!â
That does make Tim look up at her, eyes wide with false innocence and mouth pouting up at her. âBut sister dearest, Iâm your little brother. Itâs my job to inconvenience you.â
Growling in frustration is probably an inappropriate reaction to the situation.
But, Marinette thinks, so is the fact that both of the Waynes she associates with regularly seem hellbent on convincing the world that she too, is a Wayne, so.
(Is this how Alya felt dealing with the twins? Cause if so, Marinette takes back every joke she ever madeâlittle siblings are a bitch.)
***
She meets Damian without warning.
Honestly, she never really expected to meet him at all but, well.
She finds him in Monsieur Wayneâs office, sitting at his fatherâs desk and doing something that she thinks is vaguely illegal, but sheâs not about to tell her Boss a dozen times over how to parent his children.
Damian is a near-perfect copy of his father with darker skin and calculating green eyes. Thereâs also a more potent aura of danger around the child than there is around his father, like Damian hasnât yet learned how to hide behind his public persona as his father had.
Or, Marinette looks at the teen thoughtfully, perhaps he just chooses not to.
âMonsieur Wayne,â she greets. Children like to be treated like adults, she knows, and Marinette doesnât think this one is any different. âSelina hadnât told me youâd be in the office today.â
âI donât run my schedule by her,â he says flatly. A response she expected considering Dickâs stories.
âOf course not,â she agrees.
He finally deigns to look up at her and something flits across his expression, too fast for her to pick up on it. âAre those for Father? Bring them here, Iâll deal with them in his absence.â
Marinette raises her eyebrow. âIâm not sure thatâs wise Monsieur.â
Damian scowls and sticks his hand out. âIâm perfectly capable of forging Fatherâs signature. Give them here.â
She does not move and, instead, lets her lips quirk up into the smile sheâs been fighting since she stepped in here.
âI donât doubt it,â she tells him, and she doesn't. Forgery seems exactly like the kind of skill a child who broke into the CEOâs office of a multi-billion dollar company would have. âBut youâll find that all forging of signatures has been finished for the day and that these,â she shakes the sheaf of papers lightly, âactually require your fatherâs attention.â
He snorts disbelievingly and it says a lot about Marinetteâs life up until now that the blatant display of disrespect doesnât piss her off but instead reminds her of ChloĂŠ and of the fact that she still needs to reschedule their spa day. It's been too long since they spent time together in person.
âWell,â she pauses and eyes the papers thoughtfully. ââRequiresâ in the sense that its information needed to trounce the Board when they start spouting off greedy bullshit about cutting corners on our humanitarian efforts. Iâm not sure how much of it is actually useful for anything besides that.â She shrugs. âBut homework is homework, yes?â
That gets her a thoughtful once-over. His hand lowers and he then turns back to whatever heâs messing with on his fatherâs computers.
âVery well,â he concedes. âFather will be back in approximately thirteen minutes. You can leave the papers and Iâll inform him of their⌠importance.â He smirks, but itâs more like heâs letting her in on a joke than anything else.
Marinette smiles back as she sets the folder on the desk, feeling, oddly, like sheâs passed some sort of test.
***
The day after, both Dick and Tim are waiting for her with what looks like an entire bakery laid out in her workspace.
âUh,â she says eloquently, setting her purse down on her chair because thereâs not a single open space on her desk not filled with some kind of pastry. âWhatâs all this?â
She looks up to find neither Dick nor Tim has stopped staring at her since she walked in. âWe heard you met Damian yesterday,â Dick starts warily, like heâs scared of her reaction.
The response does not abate her confusion.Â
âYes, I did,â she says slowly. âThat does not explain all⌠this.â She waves a hand, trying to encompass them as well as the state her desk is in.
The two brothers share a look.
âItâs a bribe,â Tim tells her simply and Marinette is taken aback for all of a second before her eyes suddenly narrow.
Dick cuts in hastily before she can say anything. âItâs more of an apology, really. For Damianâs behavior.â
But Marinette is confused and frustrated and just a bit offended by the apparent not-bribe at this point. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, but it only does so much.
âDamainâs behavior was fine,â she tells them with measured neutrality. âYou two, on the other hand, are being weird and itâs freaking me out.â She crosses her arms expectantly. âSeriously, whatâs going on?â
Appearing from out of nowhere, Selina drapes herself along Marinetteâs shoulders and snags a raspberry scone. âI do believe,â she says as if sharing a secret, âThat they are trying to keep you from quitting, kitten.â
Marinette wrinkles her nose. âWhy would I quit? I like this job.â
She also likes the Waynes (in general, if not right then) and she likes Selina. The woman was a good mentor who didnât shy away from the dirtier parts of the job and taught Marinette all she knew. (Even the bits, she noticed, that had little to nothing to do with being a personal assistant and were more likely to be found in the repertoire of a thief.
But, Marinette is in possession of her own sticky fingers and knows how to not ask questions, so. You knowâcuriosity killed the cat and all.)
She doesnât voice any of that, but Selina, at least, knows it anyway. Marinette isnât quiet about her gratitude after all.
âFirst meetings with the youngest Wayne donât often go well,â Selina tells her. âIn fact, I think he has a habit of making the interns cry.â
Dick makes some kind of offended noise. âHey! He hasnât done that since he was twelve!â
Tim elbows him in the ribs and Marinette makes a vaguely skeptical face at all three of them before deciding it wasnât worth it. She has actual work to get done today and pastries to get rid of before she can even start.
She pats affectionately at Selinaâs hand before grabbing as many boxes as she can hold. âCome on you two,â she says to the brothers. âYouâre going to help me hand these out to the rest of the company.â
Dick immediately starts doing as told but Tim hesitates, humming thoughtfully. âYou know thatâs not going to help your whole âIâm not actually a Wayneâ thing, right?â
She glares at him. It doesnât stop Tim from grinning like the utterly unrepentant little shit he is.
***
Things are quiet after the Damian Incident for a whole two weeks. Itâs the longest lull Marinette has had since she first started and became somehow involved with the Waynes.
It ends because Dick finds out about the crush Marinette has been nursing on the Head of Security for three months now.
The Head of Security who is Jason Todd: second eldest Wayne sibling and Dickâs brother.
He takes it better than expected.
(Almost, she thinks later, a little too well.)
***
Despite her friendship with Dick and Timâor perhaps because of it?âJason had never seemed very interested in her. At first, Marinette had shrugged and counted it as a win; there was one Wayne, at least, who neither found her situation funny nor used it to poke fun at her.
They were on friendly terms, she supposed. Security has always been one of her more regular stops in the building, so sheâd spoken to him often enough. He liked complaining that she spoiled his team rotten with all her treats.
But she also noticed that he likes her cherry danishes, so.
And then she noticed how crooked his grin was when he smiled. And how he seemed to have an arsenal of nicknames for everyone he knew. And the small collection of classic romance novels filled with sticky notes he tries and fails to hide in his desk. And, and, and.
It was around the time she began unconsciously memorizing his schedule based on when he was and was not there for her pastry deliveries, that she realized she may have made a misstep somewhere.
Jason was stubborn and passionate and flipped between overly proper and crass light a damn light switch. He was also, as stated, very much not interested in her.
Not that she wouldâve pursued him anyway. He was a coworker as well as her friendsâ brother.
Now if only one of said brothers could understand that.
âYou should ask him out,â Dick suggests not for the first time and Marinette sighs, also not for the first time.
She loves Dickâshe truly doesâbut he has been an aggravating level of unhelpful since he found out about Marinetteâs latest romantic disaster.
âIâm definitely not doing that.â
Dick groans, like sheâs being the unreasonable one. âWhy are you being so stubborn about this?â
âBecause I donât like embarrassing myself?â she asks rhetorically. âNot everyone can have a fairy tale romance like you and Wally.â
He throws his coffee stirrer at her. âWe are not a fairy tale.â
She shoots him a flat look. Sheâs heard Dick talk about Wally and Timâs told her all the stories and she was there when he and Wally finally got their shit together. Dick was unbearable for an entire week with his gooey, lovestruck new lease on life.
âYou two are the definition of fairy tale. You two make fairy tales look like trashy romance novels.â
He opens his mouth to argue the point before forcibly cutting himself off. âNo. Stop distracting me. Weâre not talking about that; weâre talking about you and Jason.â
âThere is no âme and Jasonâ,â she reminds him through her clenched teeth.
âNot yet,â he says optimistically. Like itâs a fact, like he knows something she doesnât.
He makes her want to slam her face into a wall. Truly, he does.
***
Dick stops running his HR papers up to her office. Instead, heâs somehow convinced Jason to play errand boy for him even though he literally never looks happy about it. What used to be a flimsy excuse for Dick to slack off for a few minutes and gossip with her has now turned into awkward silence as Jason drops off the papers and leaves without even a âhelloâ.
During their shared breaks, Dick takes to orchestrating âchance encountersâ between her and Jason, all but shoving them into each other (and even actually shoving that one time). She catches Jason shooting dark looks at Dick every time he does it, and if sheâd been holding any iota of hope at this point, itâs been smashed to dust. Jason obviously knows of his brotherâs meddling and isnât happy about it.
But Dick just canât take the hint.
Every failed plan of his makes him steadily worse about it allâmore frantic and frustrated and like he wants to strangle her for her stubbornness. (The last feeling being more than mutual.)
Dickâs meddling starts to make her and Jasonâs previously friendly, if distant, relationship awkward and embarrassing. With every pointed comment, she gets closer to just punching Dick in the face. Or, maybe, sheâll just tell Wally who really ate all the chocolate strawberry macaroons she made; itâd certainly be more devastating.
***
It all comes to head on a Thursday, after most employees have left for the day.Â
They run into each other in a breakroom, and she watches as Jason suddenly goes stiff, eyes flicking over her shoulder to no doubt scan for Dick. That single action makes her expression sour and she slams her empty mug down with more force than was necessary.
For Kwamis sake, he looks like a cornered animal. An image not helped by the way he jumps a foot in the air and stares at her like heâs worried sheâll suddenly lunge at him.
âCan we agree this is ridiculous?â she says abruptly. âI donât know what Dick is trying to accomplish with his wingman schtick, but we both know itâs not going to work. Can we just⌠agree that heâs an idiot?â
A complicated look crosses Jasonâs face before he snorts wryly. âYeah, we can agree on that. Dickie-boy has always been a few sandwiches short a picnic.â
âI know things have been awkward between us lately, and Iâm sorry about that, but I hope we can keep being friends?â she says hopefully.
âWhat in the world do you have to be sorry about?â he asks before she can start catastrophizing about the bewildered expression he makes at her words. âItâs not your fault.â
The smile she shoots him is rueful and she shakes her hand in an âehhâ type gesture. âKinda is. And I understand if the-â she makes a vague gesture between them that she hopes properly conveys âmy giant, stupid crush on youâ, âyou know, is too much for you. Just say the word Iâll try and keep out of your way.â
Sheâs trying to be comforting or understanding or something like that, but all her words seem to do is make him upset. âAbsolutely not,â he insists. âSunshine, you are not going to change your routine just to make me feel better.â
Marinette crosses her arms, frowning up at him. âWhy shouldnât I? If Iâm making you uncomfortable-â
He makes a strangled noise in the back of his throat. âUncomfort- Marinette. â She jolts a bit at the use of her name. She doesnât think heâs used it since her second week at W.E. âIâm not sure who made you think otherwiseâand if it was Dick just tell me cause Iâll kick his ass âbut barring the fact that I still enjoy your friendship regardless of any⌠feelings-â Marinette concentrates very hard on not showing emotion when he says that, â-itâs not your responsibility to deal with it.â
Okay, but⌠that makes no sense. Of course her feelings were her responsibility, thatâs the whole point of them being hers.
âIf itâs not mine, then whose responsibility is it then?â she asks, wondering where the hell his train of thought is running.
âMine, obviously.â
She gives him a look, complete with narrowed eyes and thinly veiled judgment. âWhat? Is this some kind of gentlemanâs martyr complex? Is that whatâs happening right now?â
Jason huffs a laugh, but thereâs no humor in the sound. âIf me taking responsibility for my own damn feelings is a martyr complex then sure,â he snarks, not unkindly. More like heâs trying to protect himself by retreating behind a sour attitude.
Her mouth is halfway around a retort when his words catch up to her brain and she freezes.
âYour feelings?â she repeats. âYour feelings for⌠me?â
His voice is carefully neutral when he says, âThose would be the ones.â
Her mouth opens and closes and opens again. âYou like me? Seriously?â
His face spasms at the question, starting at anger before he properly looks at her and the surprised expression on her face. He pales.
âYou didnât know?â
âNo!â she squeaks, something she hasnât done since she was fifteen. âWell Dick said but I didnât believe him!â
And fuck, she thinks. This means Dick knew the whole damn time, didnât he? Oh, she is so going to kill him the second she gets the chance.
Jason runs a hand down his face, covering his mouth as he gathers his bearings. Suddenly, his eyes shoot back open and land on her. âWait. If you didn't know, then what the hell were you talking about just now?â
She blushes to the tips of her ears and buries her face in her hands so she doesnât have to look at him. It was easy when she thought heâd figured it out himself. Itâs harder now that she has to tell him. âI- I was talking about my crush on you.â
Heâs quiet for so long that she gets antsy and peeks out from behind her fingers to see his expression. Heâs still looking at her, but now thereâs a wide, crooked smile on his face. The expression softens something in her chest and she lowers her hands.
âReally?â he asks, leaning closer.
Marinette nods, feeling a small smile spread across her lips.
He jolts forward, hands reaching for her before suddenly stopping just shy of touching. She startles a bit at the motion but doesnât move away.
Jason licks his lips, smile smaller but no less bright. âI- can I?â
She blinks. âCan you what?â
âKiss you.â
The blush returns full force, but with it also comes a smile, giddy and bright. She nods and no sooner than she does, is he swooping down to pull her into a toe-curling kiss. His hands cup her face with a tenderness that makes her smile, makes her giddy, and itâs not long before theyâre both smiling too wide to actually kiss and are forced to break apart.
His hands fall to her back, practically engulfing her, and his chin drops onto her head. Itâs warm and cozy and she thinks she could so very easily get used to this.
Later, theyâre going to have to deal with Dick and Tim and Selina and the teasing theyâll no doubt have to endureânot to mention how much worse the rumors are going to getâbut right now? Right now Marinette pulls Jason back down for another kiss and very pointedly doesnât think about it.

[fanfic] Spilled Words
His wings are gorgeous. Taichi wanted to keep his eyes off of them, but it wasnât easy. Bright gold feathers shone in the sun every bit as much as Yamatoâs hair did. The feathers were edged faintly in blue as well, matching his eyes. That sort of coloring wasnât unusual. But he was pretty convinced that Yamatoâs wings would be magnificent no matter what.
He couldnât decide if he wanted to touch those golden wings or the golden hair more. Heâd so seldom seen either of those. It wouldnât be possible to touch both at the same time. Yamato was just a bit taller than he was, which made it a lot more difficult.
And heâd probably punch me in the face if I tried. Taichi held himself back no matter how much he wanted to do otherwise. Just because his trait was Courage didnât mean he should be stupid about it - heâd learned that the hard way. He refused to hurt Agumon like that just to get a feel of feathers.
âWhat are you doing?â Yamato glanced at him and Taichi jerked. Had he stared a little too long? He thought heâd kept himself under control. But now Yamato stared at him and he could feel himself blushing.
âUh, looking for firewood?â Taichi wasnât often one to come close to lying, mostly because it was too annoying to keep track of, but all the rules seemed to go out the window when it concerned Yamato. He bent down and picked up a piece of wood, waving it in self-defense. âWe need some, right?â
Yamato snorted briefly before spreading his wings and leaping up above the trees. Taichi followed him with his eyes, gripping the stick heâd picked up until he could feel it cracking.
I am an idiot. An absolute idiot. Other people had mentioned that to him before - Yamato among them, and probably more than almost anyone else - but it had never felt so true as it did now. Yamato probably wouldnât just consider him an idiot but wouldnât want to talk to him if he could get out of it.
He sighed to himself and started walking, roughly in the same direction that Yamato flew in. He could still see the blond, who hadnât vanished out of sight but remained just above the trees. Taichi peered a bit more closely and saw him pointing somewhere ahead. He hurried along and found a small clearing with a fallen tree in the center of it.
âThereâs dry firewood under there,â Yamato told him, dropping down a little, a few stray leaves and tiny branches spinning by in the wind stirred up by his wings. Taichi admired his control. Most people couldnât fly that well at the age of eleven. But there he was, doing it. Mostly because he and Sora and Jou - those who had wings - had to make sure their wings didnât hold them back when they had to flee from rampaging Digimon.
Yamato had learned those lessons quickly, thoroughly, and well. None of them had forgotten the experience with Devimon - heâd not quite broken Yamatoâs wings but theyâd been wrenched for days, and that was when Yamato really started to properly learn how to fly. Back home Flyers werenât allowed to do more than take lessons under strictly controlled circumstances at this age.
I bet he could ace all of those classes right now. Taichi let out a deep mental sigh and started to gather up what would be their firewood for the night and morning.
Yamato dropped down next to him and started to pick up wood as well. Taichiâs heart beat a little faster and he hurried to get it all gathered. âSo, what are we having for dinner tonight?â At least that was probably a question that wouldnât get him into trouble. He hoped.
âFish, if we can get enough,â Yamato said with a wrinkle of his nose. âFried fish.â
Of course. They ate more fish than just about anything else. Why normal fish existed in this world when almost no other animals they knew of did, he had no idea. But at least it was something they could eat.
The Digital World provided food of some kind just about anywhere they went. If it wasnât fish, then something grew from the trees or could be found hanging from vines on the ground, and none of them would forget the refrigerator full of eggs. Taichi kind of missed those. Especially if a few days passed and all they had to eat were the leftovers from the last time they stopped somewhere. That didnât happen too often, but often enough to make it a real pain.
âI think I saw some fruit over there,â Yamato said, nodding towards the trees heâd flown over and Taichi walked through. âThey were kind of yellow, but they werenât bananas.â
Taichi glanced that way and thought he spied something in the trees as well. Bright yellow, that was all he could be sure of, so he headed over there, Yamato following, but higher up in the air. He only came back down when Taichi arrived at the tree that heâd missed on the way in.
The yellow fruit looked a lot like a bunch of grapes, but it didnât give off a smell of being unripe. After these last few months, it was a lot easier to tell what could and couldnât be eaten. Agumon and the others had assured them that there wasnât anything in the area that would poison them - though he hoped that the Digimon knew what being poisoned was. Sometimes you just didnât know with them.
While the two of them gathered firewood, Gabumon and AGumon were busy scouting the area to make sure there wasnât anyone around to cause trouble. If theyâd found anything, they would have come running at once, and Taichi made a point to gather some of these yellow grapes to share with his partner. Truthfully being without Agumon made him a lot more nervous than just staring at Yamatoâs wings. The Digital World was more than a little dangerous on one's own, and he was pretty sure that regardless of how fast Yamato could fly, the blond couldnât carry Taichi out of there if there were troubles.
He plucked a few of the grapes and popped them into his mouth, before he tossed some towards Yamato. He winced a second later as all of the wood Yamato carried hit the ground and ferocious blue eyes glared at him.
âSorry? I thought youâd want some?â He really had. He just hadnât thought it all the way through to the part about Yamato having his arms full.
âItâs fine,â Yamato grumbled, getting the grapes from where theyâd fallen and blowing off the dust before eating them himself. âThese are good, though.â He started to gather up the wood and Taichi helped, getting a bit more of the wood in an attempt to make up for what heâd done. âYou know, you have nice eyes, Taichi.â
Taichi froze the second those words sounded. He turned to look at Yamato, who stood there staring back, as if heâd just heard his own words.
âWhat?â That was what he wanted to say. What came out was something else entirely. What came out was, âYour wings are really pretty. I keep wanting to pet them but I know you wouldnât like that.â
Yamato flushed a deep red, and started to open his mouth again before he slammed his lips together as hard as he could, wings spreading wide. âIf it was you - I mean, Iâm going back to camp. We should probably talk to the others before we eat any more of these.â
Taichi nodded quickly and hurried his way through the woods. Part way back they crossed paths with Gabumon and Agumon. Agumon sniffed some at the yellow grapes.
âThose smell good!â He started to reach for them, but Taichi kept them out of his reach. The look on his face almost made Taichi regret doing so, but once again words spilled out.
âThese do something strange to you when you eat them. Weâre going to see if Koushiro can figure it out before anyone else eats some.â
Agumon blinked briefly before he lowered his claws. âWhat do you mean strange?â
Taichi tried to think of how to answer it. The best he could manage was, âI just keep talking. Whateverâs on my mind - like about how nice Yamatoâs wings are and how Iâd like to touch them. He said that he liked my eyes.â
âThatâs enough, Taichi.â Yamato declared, having landed on a tree branch above. âYou guys donât know anything about this, do you?â
Gabumon peered at the fruit but shook his head. âTheyâre not like anything Iâve seen before. What did they taste like?â
âA little citrus-y,â Yamato reported, and Taichi agreed. âBut with a bit of a sweet aftertaste.â He wrinkled his nose. âIâd eat more if they didnât do whatever this is to us.â
They kept on heading back to where the others remained. Takeru and Jou had managed to pull in a very good haul of fish, which Sora had made significant inroads on cleaning them. Taichi and Yamato set the firewood down before taking the grapes over to Koushiro, who had his laptop out as usual.
âWe ate some of these, and now we donât seem to be able to hold anything back,â Taichi reported. âI told Yamato how I want to pet his wings, and he said -â
âSomething Iâd rather I hadnât,â Yamato interrupted. âCan you figure out what these are and what theyâre doing to us?â
âAnd how long theyâre going to last,â Taichi added. âIâd rather not keep saying whatâs on my mind.â
âIt surprises me that youâve got things on your mind,â Yamato retorted. âAnd keep your hands off of my wings.â
Taichi glowered at him with as much annoyance as he could muster. âI told you. I know you wouldnât like it so Iâm not going to.â
Yamato just turned away and Taichi wasnât surprised any more to find more words spilling out. âWhat is your problem? What makes you think Iâm going to do something you donât want me to? If you tell me not to, Iâm going to listen to you! I have some manners!â
âBut what if I want you to?â Yamato snapped, whirling back around. âNo oneâs ever touched them before! No one who wasnât my mom or dad or Takeru anyway. I donât know what it would feel like and itâs weird and I shouldnât want it, and I do!â
Taichi blinked several times. That wasnât at all what heâd expected to hear. It took him a few moments to work out an answer. Whatever that weird fruit did, it didnât seem to make him say anything. But when he spoke, he said exactly what was on his mind.
âIâd still wait until you said I could. Theyâre your wings. Why would I do that without you saying it was okay?â
Yamatoâs cheeks flared as red as Koushiroâs hair. The younger Chosen had spent all of this time examining the fruit, scanning it with his laptop, and checking with the other Digimon. Only when he checked into a specific file that had been a gift from Gennai did he have an answer.
âThey donât specifically have a name. Theyâre harmless for Digimon to eat, but for humans it seems they have a secondary effect - I think youâve noticed it.â
A quick look flickered between brown and blue eyes. Taichi pressed his lips together before he asked, âHow long will it last?â
âIt depends on how many you ate. The more you ate, the longer it will last. If youâd rather have secrets, my advice is to not talk to anyone until morning. It should have passed by then.â Koushiro suggested. He eyed the fruit a bit curiously but shook his head.
Yamato nodded, picked up Gabumon, and leaepd into the skies, soaring away until he reached the top of the hill theyâd camped underneath. He clearly had no intentions of spilling any more secrets, at least not to anyone who wasnât Gabumon.
Taichi considered doing something like that, but shrugged to himself and settled next to the fire. Whatever happened was going to happen and he couldnât think of anything that would be too ridiculous to talk about to anyone who wasnât Yamato.
At least Hikari wasnât here. She wouldnât hesitate to ask him the nosiest questions that she could think of. But that was the right of little sisters, and he really didnât want her in the Digital World at all.
He saw Yamato sitting up there, Gabumon next to him, and it looked as if they were talking about something. âWonder what it is,â he muttered to himself, and winced when he realized what heâd said. At least he hadnât eaten that many - but he knew heâd still have to deal with what heâd said already, once morning came.
Maybe, he hoped just the tiniest bit, he and Yamato would be able to work this out. Maybe.
The End
Notes: One day Yamato will allow it. Just not today.

Here to talk about Security Breach. Lots of people have been complaining about stuff, so I wanna give my thoughts.
Please read entire post before commenting
First off, I'm only halfway through the game, so no, I have no experienced everything in the game personally, but I've seen every ending, multiple playthroughs, and many other analysis posts.
Also I'm sorry for the large post, but this all has made me upset and I wanna talk about it.
(Also everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but still, please read)
-------
So to start, to the people complaining about bugs and the game being unplayable, etc.
I have experienced 3 bugs in total so far, only one of which actually hurt my gameplay, but it was minor and was easily gotten past. It was a bug that gave me the camera layout for an area too early, as it first required you to beat a mission. Because of this, I was unable to properly track the animatronics on the cameras. I died three times, but managed to survive the last as I found a way to do it without the cameras. Overall, not a huge problem and was easily gotten past with a bit of thinking.
Bugs do not mean a game is unplayable. Multiple players have gotten through the game completely, even with some minor bugs. Yes, there will be AI problems with collision and such, but that is how game programming works. So to those of you complaining about the AI being stuck on a door, I suggest you think about how hard it was for developers to even program the AI to track you through a diverse location in the first place.
Some other bugs to note are ones that can stunt gameplay completely. Such as a bug that causes the 3am recharge station to be inaccesible. I have also heard of bugs that have crashed the game on consoles or pc, but games will always have those problems. Even in popular games such as World of Warcraft, which has had thousands of players and development experience over the years, still runs into this type of bug.
I understand it is frustrating and annoying, but Steel Wool has already spoken and said they are working to fix these types of bugs and to optimize the game. You have to understand this will take time. Steel Wool is an indie company who has already had a lot of pressure on them since they began to make this game, and with the delay last year it only worsened for them. Not to mention we are nearing Christmas and these developers and such deserve time to spend with their families. Not listening to people bash the game they have spent 2+ years on.
So to those of you who have spent time complaining about the "gamebreaking" and "annoying" bugs that you yourself may not have even faced, please take this all into consideration. The game should not have been delayed again. Not only because its a function and fun game as is, but also because had it been delayed, you all would have thrown a fit. The game had been delayed 18 hours and people were in outrage because of it. Imagine what would've happened if it had been delayed longer to fix every bug in the game (which by the way isn't even statistically possible given most bugs are found until a large playerbase has played the game and found the bugs as each bug has a slim chance of occuring and would most likely not present during play-testing). No game has been released perfect, so bugs will continue to be found for quite some time.
I will say, if you haven't played the game for yourself, please do not come after me because you watched someone encounter bugs. Bugs will occur, and sometimes the bugs you see in videos were forced by the players (intentional or not). You yourself have no played the game and cannot say whether it is unplayable or not. I respect those who watch gameplay videos or don't have the ability to buy or play the game, hut understand theres a difference between seeing someone play, and actually playing.
--------
Now onto another topic of complaints. The story. I've seen many posts bashing the game for a lackluster story that doesn't make sense to players or that there is little to no story at all.
I argue against this. Obviously.
As a long time fan of the franchise I have heavily enjoyed this game and its story. The game doesn't force the plot in your face like many other games might. It allows a gameplay experience in which you can choose to either a. pay attention and dig for more info or b. play the game and give only minor or no concern to any plot.
No, you do not have to have read every single book or watched every single Game Theory video to understand this franchise. From day 1, this franchise has prided itself on gameplay first, story second. But to those of us in the community who have actively dug for the story and followed it, this game makes sense.
To find the story you have to get different collectibles, messages, and find references throughout the game. From the old posters of Fazbears Family Diner, the inclusion of certain animatronics, to even as far as design choices, this game has a concrete place in the FNAF story.
The problem is that a shocking small amount of players actually look and acknowledge certain aspects.
There are 6 different endings, with 1 being locked being a hard mode. This itself is not shocking as many story elements have been locked behind a more difficult area of gameplay (ie. Sister Location Ennard fight ending, UCN 50/20 mode, even as far as to include the different minigames present in Fnaf 2 and Fnaf 3). Many players could play 1 ending and call it quits. But I've noticed a lot of people complaining they simply don't make sense or are too happy cheery to be right. And that is a key problem. Some endings are meant to be 'gag' endings that make no sense, while others are heavily linked to the story itself. Sadly, it seems few people have realized this and have taken everything at face-value. And yes, I understand not every player can do the hard mode (I can't even do it myself), but that's why we are meant to work as a community and figure stuff out together.
Some story elements are also locked behind secret areas only accessible at end-game. But if you are to truly look at these areas and their contents, you'll find a lot of story that many have complained was left out (ie. Vanessa backstory).
To those of you complaining about things being removed that were shown in trailers, or accusing Steel Wool of changing the story midway through development, please think. Some aspects from trailers aren't in the game yes, but thats not odd for a game. Some dialogue only serves purpose to engage people into playing the game (ie. Male voice [presumably Afton] at the start of one trailer speaking over the Vanny mask). This dialogue seems to serve only as an engagement tool and to give us as players an idea on the characters. I don't see a way this dialogue would have fit in any capacity no matter if they had changed something or not. It is simply not spoken in a way that could smoothly implemented into gameplay without disrupting the flow.
To those saying Vanessa was supposed to be sweet and caring because of dialogue presenting in one trailer. No. She was never set up to be a character that we as Gregory would trust. The dialogue in which she speaks of 'getting out together' and that the animatronics 'will never stop hunting you' serves only as an engagement and story tool. Vanessa is shown as a character we do not trust, even in the trailer, so those lines serve only for us to link to the story (which I believe I have figured out for the most part).
I will also note, to anyone complaining about a lack of Afton or Vanny presence, the main antagonist in the story is never fully present all the time. Even throughout the other games, we onyl saw Ennard at the end of Sister Location, and heck, we didn't even see Afton for the entirity of the first two games (unless you count the minigames). The Fnaf franchise has always kept secondary antagonists in more light than the primary antagonists, allowing them to pull the strings without being seen.
The FNAF franchise has never outright given its story to players and has always been about picking out the real truth from red herrings, as well as the clues in the game itself. It is a complex puzzle that requires time and effort to put together.
(P.S. To anyone claiming that Fnaf VR and forward are non-canon and should be treated as a separate entity because Steel Wool 'ruined' the story. Kindly leave this community. Steel Wool is an indie company who has poured their hearts into these games, working alongside Scott for it all. So everything you see has been approved by Scott as part of the story.)
So no, the game is not terrible from a gameplay perspective, and no, the game is not lacking in story.
For anyone struggling with the story in Security Breach, whether you have seen the secret stuff or not, feel free to message me. I can discuss how I believe it all fits together, just give me time to respond.
Sincerely,
A Fnaf fan who has been here since the start and is tired of people bashing this game

Attention.
A/N: Iâm back! Felt ready to post something, Iâm not sure on a schedule yet but Iâm going to try and start posting a few things again! Things are looking better at the minute and Iâm in a better head space.
Warnings: Swearing, mentions of smut.
W/C: 5.1K.
Your chest tightened the longer you sat there, glass of wine in your hand as you slouched in your chair. The tears you felt building behind your eyes burning your eyeballs as you blinked rapidly to hold them back. You knew heâd been distant recently, spending less time with you over the last couple of weeks but you hoped tonight thatâd change, apparently not. Youâd been sat here now for forty-five minutes waiting for Tom to show up and so far? Nothing.
The looks you were receiving from the waitress were beginning to annoy you, you hated pity, you really did. She knew who you were and who you were waiting for, sheâd served you many times before in this restaurant, she was lovely and probably didnât mean anything by her pitiful looks. You reached for the bottle of wine as you refilled your glass, the waitress making her way over.
âAre you ready to order?â She asked and you looked up at her with a sad smile receiving one in return.
âIâll just take the bill please.â You said in defeat as she nodded in understanding and disappeared. You almost jumped in your seat as the one across from you scraped across the floor, Tom making an appearance.
âIâm so sorry darling, I got held up.â He said as he reached for your hand across the table, you gave him a tight-lipped smile and allowed him to place his hand over yours. Not wanting to cause a scene. âYou look beautiful.â He said as he ran his thumb along the back of your hand and you smiled at him.
âThank you.â You sighed out and he furrowed his brows.
âAre you okay?â He asked and you nodded. âYou sure? Iâm sorry I was fifteen minutes late baby.â Baby it made your heart flip in your chest, he hadnât called you that in almost three weeks, it was always your favourite pet name he gave you. That and Princess had the ability to make you crumble at his feet but not right now, the ache in your chest intensifying.
âForty-five.â You corrected quietly and his furrow deepened as the waitress returned, bill in hand. She looked almost as surprised as you had to see Tom sat across from you.
âDo you still want the bill?â She asked and before you could speak Tom interrupted.
âNo, sorry to mess you around but I got my times mixed up. I think weâre good to eat now?â Tom asked you and you shrugged in response. Tom and the waitress both looking at you for a straight answer. You felt bad holding her up and messing her around, it was a busy night for her, you could see that.
âYeah, weâre good. Iâm sorry for messing you around.â You smiled apologetically and she smiled in response, dismissing your panic and taking Tomâs drinks order and yours for a second bottle of wine.
âDarling- â
âDonât Tom, Iâm not in the mood.â You interrupted and he nodded slightly in response, neither of you a fan of making a scene in public. âHow was your day?â You asked as you took in a deep breath, ready to make this as civil as possible. Tom sensed it, he knew this was going to be short lived, the civility between the two of you would end as soon as you stepped foot through the door to your home.
âIt was, yeah, it was good, nothing to report.â He shrugged and your anger brewed, he was late, got held up but didnât have anything to report? âYours?â
âYeah, was good, busy day in the office but other than that it was fine.â You said with a small smile.
This continued on, the dinner being far from what youâd been hopeful for. You ate, made small talk, finished your drinks, paid the bill and walked home. It was cold on the walk home, your arms covered in goosebumps, silently cursing yourself for not bringing a jacket. You rubbed your hands along your arms to try and create friction and warm your cold arms.
âHere.â Tom said as he handed you his blazer, you were feeling stubborn, wanting to give him the cold shoulder.
âIâm good.â You said.
âY/N,â he warned, he knew he was in the wrong, but that didnât stop him worrying about you and being his usual protective self. âI know youâre angry with me and weâre gonna talk about it but youâre cold, please donât be so stubborn, I donât want you to get ill.â He said as he placed the blazer around your shoulders.
Your heart lifted as you became encased in his warmth, became encased in his scent youâd missed over the last couple of weeks. You pulled the blazer on properly, hands digging into the pockets to try and warm them up, it was working, slowly, nothing like when it was in Tomâs but that wasnât an option right now. The feeling of dread hit you as you made your way up the driveway and into the house, the inevitable argument you were about to have settling in your chest.
You made your way into the living room, Tom following carefully behind as you took your heels off and greeted Tess, bag finding its way to the floor. You took in the living room, the TV in standby but the orange light of his PlayStation catching your eye. It was in rest mode, a sign heâd been on it before heading out to meet you and showed his intention of firing it back up when he returned. It made your blood boil, thatâs why he was late.
âDarling..â he trailed off as he watched the realisation set in on your face.
âWere you late because you were gaming with the boys?â You asked and watched as Tom cringed at how awful it sounded.
âI swear I lost track of time.â He defended and you nodded as you walked passed him and into the kitchen. âPrincess, Iâm sorry.â He said as he followed you, your eyes moving to the calendar on the fridge. Your hand writing catching your eye, you had written the correct time, youâd reminded him that morning as well. âY/N/N?â He asked carefully and you spun on your heel to look at him.
âYouâre an arsehole.â You stated simply and he let out a sigh as he nodded.
âI know. I swear I thought you said half seven, not seven.â
âYou would still have been late.â
âI lost track of time.â
âThought you got caught up?â You fired back and his face fell.
âCome on, Iâm trying here.â
âReally hard, I noticed.â You spat out sarcastically and you saw the flash of confusion behind his eyes.
âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â
âNothing, Iâm just used to it at the minute.â You shrugged as you walked passed him again and up the stairs, Tom hot on your heels.
âWhat?â
âIt doesnât matter, go back and play with the boys, Iâm sure that was how you wanted this evening to turn out.â You said, voice far more stern than youâd expected considering the heart ache and tears that were starting to take over at the situation.
âIâm confused here, I know I was late today but I feel like Iâm missing something else.â He said as you walked into the bathroom.
âJust me.â You mumbled out in hopes he wouldnât hear you but he did. Your hand moving to the shower to turn it on and let it warm up.
âWhat?â He asked, a hint of anger to his tone.
âNothing, just leave me alone.â You snapped.
âI donât want to, youâre obviously upset with me and I want to know whatâs going on.â He said, arms crossed over his chest.
âMakes a change.â You spat at him and his face turned to one of anger, you were both growing more and more irritated with one another.
âYou gonna tell me what you mean by that? Or are we gonna continue with the riddles?â He asked, voice stern. Although he knew heâd fucked up, he hated when you got into one of these moods when you were either too angry or too upset to be straight with him.
âCan you just leave me alone while I shower?â You asked and he huffed before making his way out of the bathroom and you slammed the door shut, locking it for good measure. You needed to get your thoughts straight, pull yourself together and allow yourself to cry, youâd wanted to all evening.
You took your dress off throwing it into the basket as you undressed and got into the shower, letting the warm water raise your temperature, the walk home had left you cold. You let the tears fall as you let the heart ache set in, a part of you wondered if he didnât know he was doing it, but then wouldnât he miss you too? Wouldnât he miss the closeness youâd not had for a couple of weeks.
Another, more insecure part of you wondered if heâd met someone else, he hadnât touched you in a good few weeks, not in that way. It was unusual for you not to be all over each other, not when he was home, so it left you wondering if he just wasnât interested anymore. It wasnât that you hadnât tried, you had, wearing things around the house that usually got him going but recently his eyes would flick from the TV and then back to it. The tears fell faster at the thought, you loved him, god you loved him more than you could bare at times.
You finished up your shower as you tried to compose yourself, letting the anger set in because you couldnât focus on the heart ache right now. Youâd just cry in front of him and you didnât want to do that right now. You got changed into your pajama pants, they felt strange to wear because you barely wore them, a hoody was pulled over your head as you placed your hands into the pocket.
You made your way back into the living room where Tom was, the TV still off which surprised you. Tomâs head snapped in your direction, his eyebrows raised at your attire, it was unusual for him to see you in pajama pants, you usually wore them when you were ill and trying to cling to any warmth that you could. You couldnât shift your thoughts from your head, the thought that he just wasnât attracted to you anymore.
âTom,â you let out in an almost pleading way, the anger you wanted to hold onto slipping. His eyes found yours and softened at the clear sadness and heart break in them. He moved carefully from the couch, making his way over to you, standing in front of you as you found his feet suddenly interesting.
âHey,â he said as he placed a hand under your chin and tilted your face to look at him. Your eyes were red and rimmed with tears threatening to spill. âTalk to me.â He almost pleaded, voice soft.
âIâ you started before a sob choked your throat. âI miss you.â You said as you fell into his chest and cried into it, your hands fisting his shirt as your tears stained it. One of his hands found your back whilst the other found your hair, massaging your scalp slowly.
âIâm right here princess.â He said as he stroked your hair. Your anger rose at that, he had no idea how distant heâd been.
âYou havenât been.â You said sternly as you pushed back from his chest and took a step back, his hands falling from your frame.
âWhat? Iâve literally been home for a month.â He said, confusion evident.
âNot really, your precious boys have been more important than me.â You spat, that anger you wanted to hold onto was back and you didnât want to let go of it.
âWhat do you mean?â
âYour fucking PlayStation Tom. Your golf dates with them. Your complete lack of any sort of interest in me.â You shouted at him and he huffed, his own anger taking over.
âI think youâre being a little dramatic. Iâve been here, Iâve been with you. I miss the boys too you know.â He said, voice colder than you was expecting.
âI get that, I do.â You acknowledged. âBut you donât come to bed with me anymore, in fact you come to bed when Iâve fallen asleep these days. You fail to tell me when youâre going to play golf with the boys, I find out in the morning when youâre already set to go. I asked you to give me your sole attention tonight and you couldnât, the boys coming first.â
âI have apologized for tonight, I donât know what more you want. Iâm sorry if you feel like Iâve been prioritizing the boys, I havenât meant to.â He said that coldness still in his voice.
âItâs not just that. Youâre dismissive, if youâre not online with the boys youâre playing some shite and that takes all your attention.â You said, youâd created a distance between the two of you, your arms now folded across your chest, mirroring him.
âSo you want attention?â He spat out.
âDonât patronize me.â You spat back as you pointed a finger at him. âYou donât call me anything other than my name at the moment, the last couple of hours have been rare in the past couple of weeks. You havenât touched me.â You said, anger faltering slightly in the last sentence.
âWhat are you talking about? Thatâs not true. Not touched you? I distinctly remember you straddling my lap the other day.â He shouted at you.
âTo try and get your attention Tom.â You said, anger falling from your voice. âTo try and get you to notice Iâm still here. We didnât exactly do anything, you didnât even turn your fucking console off. Tom, you havenât slept with me in almost three weeks.â
âYou know, if you wanted me to come off my console, you couldâve asked.â
âI shouldnât have to.â You said sadly and his face fell, the anger was disappearing for the both of you now.
âLook, Iâm sorryâŚâ He started as you interrupted him, a question that had the room falling to silence.
âIs there someone else?â You voiced your insecurity, your true fear of why he was so distant. Heâd been back a month, youâd slept together once and he barely made time for you, what if he had found someone whilst he was away. You knew he hadnât cheated, he wouldnât, you knew that but that didnât mean he couldnât become attracted to someone that wasnât you.
âI havenât cheated on you.â He said softly after a while, stepping towards you carefully.
âThat wasnât what I asked.â You said as the tears started again, your hand that was wrapped in the sleeve of your hoody coming to wipe at your face. It wasnât long before Tomâs hand encased it and pulled it from your face, his eyes finding your own, the heartbreak in them was so evident you regretted ever asking the question.
âBaby, no. There isnât anyone else, not for me. I would never, I couldnât, youâre perfect princess.â He spoke and it was so honest that it pushed that insecurity way into the back of your mind again. âIâm sorry.â He spoke, your hands in his as a tear made its way down his face.
âI just want your attention Tom. Not all the time, I understand you miss the boys, I do. But I miss you too Tom, I didnât say anything because I thought tonight would fix everything but it just made it worse.â You spoke more to yourself than him. âI just feel like you havenât missed me half as much as Iâve missed you.â You finished and with that you took your hands from his and made your way upstairs, leaving Tom with his own thoughts.
You went into the bedroom, closing and locking the door as you made your way into bed, pulling the covers over your frame as you cried into your pillow. It was almost half an hour later when you heard Tom try the door, you could almost imagine his face when he realised it was locked, this wasnât something youâd done even in your worst shouting matches.
âBaby,â he called and you heard his forehead make contact with the wood of the door. âCan you open the door for me? I just wanna hold you, Iâm so sorry.â You heard the sadness in his voice, the pure heart break with himself.
âTom, I just wanna be on my own right now.â You said, it felt contradictory to the argument youâd had but you just wanted to be by yourself at the minute.
âOkay, you know where I am if you need me.â You heard him sigh as he disappeared. It took a while but eventually sleep took over.
**
You woke up to an alarm blaring and Tess barking furiously, it startled you awake as you bolted out of bed, unlocked the door and flew down the stairs. You had to stifle a laugh as you took in the sight in the kitchen, Tom was batting a tea towel across the fire alarm as Tess barked and ran in circles around his feet.
You quickly made your way over to the kitchen door, opening it as Tess shot out, you made your way to the window and opened those too. Tom looked at you with an embarrassed smile gracing his lips as the smoke made its way from the kitchen and outside.
âSorry.â He said once the alarm had stopped blaring. You laughed as you looked around the kitchen, it looked as though a bomb had gone off.
âWhat were you doing?â You asked amused.
âMaking you breakfast.â He said shyly as he bit his lip.
âThat was never gonna be a good idea, unless it was cold.â You teased and he laughed, it was no secret he wasnât the best cook in the house.
âIâm sorry, I was just, I donât know.â He concluded as he watched you begin to clean the kitchen. âI didnât mean to wake you up so abruptly either.â
âItâs okay.â Your heart warmed, you know what he was trying to do and it felt like a small step in the right direction. âI know what you were trying to do.â You said as you made your way in front of him and kissed his cheek. âI appreciate it.â The atmosphere was way better than last night but there was still a sadness in the air.
âYou locked me out.â Tom said, voice laced in nothing other than sadness, you felt guilty but you needed to be alone last night.
âI know, Iâm sorry. I just, I needed to be alone.â You said, hand on his cheek as you swiped your thumb over it. He nodded, his hand finding your hip as he squeezed it slightly.
âI get it. Iâm sorry.â He said as he carefully leant forward and caught your lips in his own, you smiled into the kiss, it felt nice to have everything out in the open, a weight lifted. âI love you.â He murmured as he pulled back, forehead resting against your own.
âI love you.â You smiled before taking a deep breath and looking around the kitchen, lightly patting his cheek with your hand. âWe should clean this place up.â You laughed and he nodded.
**
Almost twenty minutes later and the kitchen looked normal again, your laughs filling the kitchen as you tried to work out how heâd done half of the things heâd done.
âDo you wanna go and grab something instead? I donât think I should try cooking again.â Tom teased and you grinned.
âIâd love to.â You said as you made your way back upstairs to get changed, Tom joining you.
âIâm sorry.â He said and you looked at him, ready to respond before his phone rang. âHey mate.â Tom said as he placed the phone against his ear, you busied yourself with fixing your hair. âNot today.â He said, you knew he was talking to one of the boys and your heart hammered in your chest, was he gonna ditch you for them again? âTaking Y/N/N out.â He said, happiness lacing his tone. âMaybe mate, Iâll see what she wants to do.â He said, phone between his ear and shoulder as he fixed his belt.
âBeen a bit of a shit boyfriend recently.â Tom said and you heard the laugh that filled the speakers, Harrison. âShh.â You suddenly heard Tom interrupt his friend, âsheâs literally right here.â He said and you felt your chest tighten, what could Harrison have to say that you couldnât maybe overhear? âI will, cheers mate, bye.â Tom said as he put the phone down and placed it in his pocket, you shook your thoughts away as your eyes met his in the mirror. âReady?â
âYeah.â You said as he held his hand out for you and you took it as he interlaced your fingers.
You made your way towards your local cafĂŠ, a place you absolutely loved and Tom found endearing, a lovely old lady ran it and it was cheap and cheerful. A stark contrast to the usual places you and Tom would eat, but you loved it here.
âY/N.â Mary said as you both walked through the door, a warm smile on her face. âYou brought Tom too, I feel underdressed for an A-list celebrity to be here.â She said and you giggled.
âYou know he doesnât care.â You said as you hugged her, she was like a grandmother to almost everyone who stepped through the door.
âThank you by the way, my grandson was over the moon when I took him your autograph.â She said to Tom who smiled, a small blush creeping up his cheeks, he may have been famous but he was forever humble.
You ate your usual and drank your coffee as Tom focused his attention on making you laugh. It worked as he placed some icing sugar on your nose that was on the tip of his finger. You shook your head as you wiped your nose with a laugh. Youâd really missed him over the last couple of weeks and you couldnât be more thankful youâd finally said something last night.
âTom, Iâve told you before, you donât need to tip me so much.â Mary said as she watched Tom place a ten-pound note in her tip jar.
âThe service was exceptional as always.â Tom shrugged as he placed a kiss to her cheek in goodbye. He used to tip a lot more but Mary had in return started not charging for the two of you to come in, the ten-pound tip seemed like the most sheâd accept without throwing in freebies.
âYou are a charmer Mr Holland.â She smiled as she hugged you.
âIs he?â You teased and Mary laughed.
âHe is, however, heâs lucky to have you.â She smiled as she pinched your cheek. âAbout time he got down on one knee.â Mary teased and you saw Tom tense slightly, your heart sinking at his reaction, was that not something he wanted?
âDonât scare the poor boy.â You teased, trying to lighten the mood in your heart.
âNot scared.â Tom said with a smile as he took your hand in his and laced your fingers together.
**
You had an amazing day, went for a walk and talked to each other, it felt nice, normal. You still had a heavy feeling in your heart, thoughts of what Harrison had said that had caused him to quieten him so quickly invading your mind. You tried your best to shrug it off, it could be anything, your insecurities getting the better of you. You were cuddling on the couch watching a film when he suddenly got up.
âWhere are you going?â You asked.
âIâll be back in a minute.â He waved off as he made his way out of the room.
It wasnât long before he placed himself next to you, envelope in his hand. You furrowed your brows as he handed it to you.
âI know Iâm a few days early but here.â He said and you opened the envelope, pulling out two tickets to the Maldives.
âTom, what?â
âHappy birthday.â He said as he kissed your cheek and you smiled, looking at the date on your ticket, you were set to go on your birthday, a ridiculously early flight time stamped on the ticket. âI know how much you love it there and I wanted to get you something nice.â Tom said and you smiled at him.
âNice is a bottle of perfume. Tom, this is so expensive.â You scalded and he laughed as he pulled you into his chest.
âNothingâs too expensive when it comes to you.â
âYou cheesy fucker.â You laughed as you kissed his t shirt covered chest. âThank you. Is that the surprise Harrison wasnât supposed to ruin?â You asked and Tom laughed.
âYeah.â Tom lied through his teeth, the actual surprise was currently in his office drawer. The black box hidden beneath scripts heâd been reading over. He was glad that you hadnât asked about his golf trip last week, it was never a golf trip in the first place, heâd gone to your parents to ask permission, Harry promising to cover if you asked if theyâd been together.
**
âItâs gorgeous.â You said as you sat on the decking outside your hut, feet in the clear water below. Tom sat next to you, taking your hand in his.
âYeah, it is.â He agreed as he played with your fingers. âThatâs why I was so caught up with the boys, I wanted to make sure this trip was perfect, we were running through ideas.â Tom suddenly said and you turned to look at him.
âHow much planning can one holiday take?â You teased and he shrugged as he placed a kiss to the back of your hand.
âYou know me.â He said and you laughed. âThe lack of sex though, there was no excuse for that, Iâm sorry. My mind was elsewhere.â He said with a small smile and you placed your free hand on his chest as you laid your head on his shoulder.
âItâs okay, youâve made up for that.â You bit your lip, your legs still aching from the activities that had taken place no less than ten minutes ago. Your thighs, neck and chest covered in marks heâd left, you bit your lip thinking about it as you removed your hand from his chest and traced the marks on your thighs.
âI suppose I should let you in on a little secret.â He said and you furrowed your brows looking up at him. He smiled before standing and bringing you with him. âIâve been distant because Iâve been planning something.â He said, both of your hands in his. You gasped as he got down on one knee in front of you. âI wanted it to be perfect.â He said as he fished around in his pocket. He pulled the black box from them.
âTom.â You gasped, heart soaring, you were at a loss for words.
âWhen you asked me the other day if there was someone else, I was so heart broken. Princess, Iâm sorry, Iâve been so stressed about asking you this question, so scared Iâll get it wrong that it sort of took over. I love you more than anything, you are the only woman Iâm interested in, Iâve never in my life felt more at home than I do when Iâm with you. I have never met someone who understands me the way you do, whoâs as supportive as you are. I want to give you everything you deserve and more, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Y/N L/N, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?â He asked and you were both crying, both letting happiness consume you as he opened the box.
The ring was the most beautiful thing youâd ever seen, it was all too much, the happiness you felt was too much and you fell onto your knees in front of him, hands grasping his back as you pulled him into you. Head finding his shoulder as you cried into it. He held you close as he too cried into your hair.
You pulled back after a while, looking into his eyes and you swear you couldnât be happier. Thatâs what Harrison had mentioned that he didnât want you to hear, thatâs why he tensed in the cafĂŠ, he was probably worrying youâd mention you didnât want that.
âYou gonna keep me hanging?â Tom asked as he wiped at your eyes. It dawned on you that you hadnât given him an answer.
âOf course Iâll marry you.â You said and he released a breath heâd clearly been holding. He took the ring and slipped it onto your finger, the sun catching it and making it sparkle in the most brilliant way.
He lifted you both to your feet, hand finding your cheek as he pulled you in for a kiss, your hand slipping into his hair as your other held his bicep. He deepened this kiss as he slipped his hand to cup your neck, his other finding the curve of your bum as he squeezed. You giggled as you pulled back slightly.
âWanna go for a swim?â You asked and he raised a brow.
âRight now?â
âYeah.â You shrugged and he laughed.
âOkay darling.â He said as he stepped back slightly, he was so close to the edge of the decking that you couldnât help it. You bit your lip mischievously as you placed your hands on his chest, he looked down at you and his eyes widened, he was too late to act as you pushed against his chest. He lost balance but not before grasping your hands which meant you fell with him, both your bodies hitting the water which made for a large and loud splash.
You both resurfaced, your body gravitating towards his own as you wrapped your legs around his waist, arms loosely hanging from his shoulders. His hands finding your thighs, your hands making their way into his now wet hair, he smiled up at you and pulled you in for a kiss.
âI love you.â You both said in unison, pure happiness filling both of your hearts.

youâre jealous | monsta x ot7 reactions
maybe some smut ;)
shownu | son hyunwoo
shownu has been going on variety shows to promote the groupâs latest comeback and the female hosts and guests always comment on his looks
it doesnât bother you usually, you know heâs handsome and love when he gets all flustered from the attention, but you donât like how the hosts feel up his arms and ogle him when he performs a part of the choreo
they continue to dote on him and jealousy crawls up your throat and takes over your body as you wait for shownu to come home
he comes home earlier than usual and you would be happy if the images of women touching up his arms werenât flashing in your mind, clouding your vision
he greets you with a kiss to the cheek and your arms are crossed and youâre pouting, still quiet
only when heâs setting down his stuff does he ask whatâs wrong giving you time to look away from his sweaty chiseled chest and focus on your anger
âi saw the show today.â a beat of silence
âoh? was it fun?â he was almost done now as he grew closer to you
âit wouldâve been if those women werenât touching you up...â shownu found it adorable when you were jealous so he couldnât help but put his arms around your waist and pull your back to his chest, resting his head on your shoulders. you could feel his muscles against you, was he not wearing a shirt any more? it didnât matter you were angry
âi told them to stop but they cut that out of the show...â your anger subsided, of course he did. you turned in his arms then, properly looking him in the eyes for the first time today.
âgood.â
âyouâre cute when youâre jealous,â he kissed your nose and you blushed, for a second he thought he outta make you jealous more often but he couldnât bare even trying to give anyone that kind of attention when he had you. âlet me make it up to you,â he started kissing your lips then, his hands roaming down your body as the found your ass and lifted you up, instinctively your legs went around his waist
he was sweaty so u offered to shower with him to save water of course, he thanked you for that with his actions...
wonho | shin hoseok
wonho was performing WITH YOU and you couldnât help but feel jealous as the beautiful female dancer moved in synch with him and his hands traced her body
you rarely got jealous, he did that enough for both of you, but you couldnât help it when fans were saying how good they looked together and of course they didnât know he was already taken
the tweets, instagram posts, even tiktoks of them together consumed you and you finally came to your breaking point when wonho came home from the music show
âenough hoseok i canât take it any more!â
âwhatâs wrong?â he had never seen you so upset, a mix of frustration and sadness adorned your face
âyou and your dancer, everywhere i look online i just see you two together and i know itâs not real but when everyoneâs telling you they would be good together i-â
âbaby they donât know whatâs real and whatâs for the performance, at the end of the day i came home to you and love you, i donât even have her number on my phone much less have her saved as my lock screen like i do you,â wonho grinned and you felt the anxiety leave your body slowly. he always knew how to calm me down and when he realized you werenât as mad he opened his arms for a hug which you fell into with a small pout still on your face
âcan i make it up to my baby?â you didnât know what he had in mind and you certainly didnât expect being handcuffed to your bed frame screaming his name as he ate you out until you came...three times
kihyun
kihyun wasnât naturally flirty, just too kind to know he could be perceived as flirty so when a girl trips in front of him and he helps her up like the gentlemen he is she gets the wrong idea and starts flirting with him...in front of you
you let it go on as he obliviously responds to her intrusive questions, you were grateful she didnât recognize him with his mask and beanie on but you still felt your possessiveness rearing itâs ugly head
âwe need to get going honey,â you cut in, having had enough of this girl just when sheâs about to ask YOUR boyfriend for his number and she stutters and apologizes, you just mutter an okay as you grab kihyunâs hand and walk away
kihyun laughs as he catches up to you
âaww someone got jealous.â
ânot jealous just annoyed, how could you not tell she was flirting?â you frowned at him and he smirked, oh no heâs gonna tease the hell out of you now
âi can only tell when you flirt with me, but what if i was flirting with her? would you get mad? and if i fucked her?â he whispered the last part, since you were still very much in public.
âkihyun,â you groaned as his hold on your hand tightened. you knew where this was going, knew exactly what this tone in his voice would lead to. but honestly you didnât care, not when you were just as territorial as him and wanted to feel like his in the most physical way.
âwould you beg for me back?â kihyun, pulled you flush against him and whispered into your ear and you couldnât help but hold onto his shoulder for strength, he knew what he did to you.
âyou know i would.â
âyou look so pretty when you beg, maybe iâll go get her number.â you were whining at this point, still very much in public, he drove you crazy.
âfuck me please kihyun.â and thatâs all it took before you were rushing to the nearest bathroom like a bunch of horny teenagers, and kihyun was making you cry and scream his name.
minhyuk
being an mc on a music show meant he interacted with lots of idols and you always anticipated the influx of delusional fans assuming heâs dating any girl idol he has any interaction with but one day is different from the others
heâs doing his usual mc duties but this kpop idol is staring at him intensely, even as going as far as telling him heâs handsome
sheâs much older but it doesnât stop the influx of tweets and comments
minhyuk is handsome you know that, anyone with eyesight can see that so when he comes home you canât help but be grumpy
you canât be mad at him you know that but your feelings are your feelings
he knows as soon as heâs home whatâs making you grumpy
âbabe i canât help it!â
â i know itâs just-why are you so handsome??? cover your face or something arghâ youâre not really angry at him and he knows that as he kisses your face until the pout drops from your lips and he kisses you
youâre still feeling annoyed so you make it a point to show minhyuk just how much he is yours as you are his, making him scream your name all night long
hyungwon
like kihyun he doesnât realize people assume heâs flirting when heâs kind just because heâs handsome
youâre out with him in vacation in greece and hyungwon is helping these japanese tourists with directions because he overhears them being confused about the hotel names, they assume heâs flirting with them since they donât see you standing, waiting for him under the shade of the store front
hyungwon politely declines their offer to join him back at their hotel and you unfortunately hear the entire conversation, not once did he mention you
you scoff and walk off as he walks back to you, his eyebrows raising in shock
âwoah whatâs wrong?â he catches up to you with ease, damn his long legs.
âwhy donât you go ask your new friends since i donât exist?â you glare at him and he smirks, the handsome fucker smirks
âjealous babe?â
âwhy would i be, not like iâm your girlfriend or anything.â you grumble and he laughs at how youâre the angriest heâs seen you in a while. the last time you were this angry it was at netizens for attacking him over some dumb thing.
âi didnât tell them because they could have recognized me and that wouldnât have been good for anyone,â that made a lot of sense, maybe you had reacted too strongly. you might just be angry about other people flirting with whatâs yours more than anything.
âyouâre hot when youâre angry though, maybe i should do that more often.â you stopped in your tracks and narrowed your eyes even more at him, you pulled him into the side alley, pushing him against the building side.
âyou wonât.â you shut up with a kiss and he was smirking into your kiss, his hands roaming down your body and you had to pull away and remind yourself you were not in your hotel room. after that you both stumbled and practically ran back to your hotel.
jooheon
jooheon is pretty well known for his unabashed displays of aegyo and so when he goes on a variety show itâs not surprising heâs asked to do it
unfortunately this show is hosted by a female idol and her reaction sends netizens into delusional theories that the two are surely dating
youâre so upset by the rumors and allegations that you start to believe them so when jooheon sees you two days after the rumors started youâre crying at your place
heâs so worried he pulls you to him automatically and asks repeatedly what happened and whatâs wrong, not even thinking for a second it could be related to the rumors
finally you manage to stop crying and get out, âitâs okay if you love her too if she makes you happier iâll understand.â
âwhat the hell are you talking about?â jooheon is so dumbfounded by your statement he stops soothing you and this makes you go back to crying
âyou and that kpop idol on the variety show itâs all over the internet.â
âyou idiot i would never date much less love anyone other than you.â you just stop crying at look at him through your tears, which you furiously wipe away again and see the sincerity on his face.
âoh.â
âyes oh i canât believe you even believed them.â jooheon scoffs and gets off the bed you were both sat on, and then out of nowhere he picks you up and takes you to the bathroom
âweâre taking a bath so my baby can feel better,â the relaxing bath turns to a little more when he canât but show how much he missed you the past couple days and just how much he loves you more than anyone else
I.M | im changkyun
people expected changkyun to be the bad bitch in your relationship, he had sharp features, a deep voice, piercings, and an amazing body but everyone who knew you both knew you were the one who would slice a bitch
especially if a random girl is trying to dance on your man in the one nightclub everyone knows heâs taken in, this nightclub had cut some kind of nondisclosure deal with the idols and their companies but clearly this girl was new, however, that didnât mean you would hold back
changkyun winced as she started to dance on him and backed away, but she was persistent as she turned around and tried again, he waved his hand in front of her, clearly disinterested
you didnât want to step in but as you monitored the situation where you danced with jooheon you could tell changkyun was struggling to remain polite
but you didnât have a reputation to maintain and you certainly werenât as calm and collected as your boyfriend
in a couple seconds you were wedging yourself between her and your boyfriend
âiâd back away sweetie,â you painted on your best fake smile and changkyun let out a sigh of relief.
âwho are you?â her voice and tone was unpleasant, it was all too unpleasant especially when you were trying your best not to break her
âiâm his girlfriend,â
âletâs let him pick,â she shoved you away and stepped closer to changkyun, and thatâs when you know youâre about to end up at the police station...again
changkyun stops you by grabbing your waist and hauling you over his shoulder as youâre lunging for her hair
shownu appears out of nowhere and asks the girl to kindly fuck off in the way shownu just knows how to do
when youâre outside and the driver has pulled up to the club, changkyun sets you down, he looks partially amused but mostly concerned
he knows you hate it when other people flirt with him just like he has to stop himself from breaking the jaw of any guy who dances on you at the club
he pushes the hair out of your face and looks at you fondly, you just nod at him to let him know youâre okay, too lost in his eyes to find words at the moment
and then the driver is opening the door for you and you both shuffle into the very back row of the minivan
changkyun presses a kiss to your temple, and you lean into his side
âyouâre so fucking sexy when you get like that, i know i shouldnât encourage it but fuck,â changkyun whispers into your hair and you shiver as his deep voice sends chills through you, you let your hand travel from its place on his lap to where the leather of his pants is becoming strained
âdonât.â he hisses and you arenât in the obedient mood as you look him straight in the eyes and continue your torture
you estimate you have about thirty mins to go to get home, the privacy screen between the driver and the back of the car wonât muffle all the sound of you both but you can at least remind changkyun who he belongs to
so when youâre done making him suffer in his leather pants, you unzip them and heâs hissing and grabbing your hand
âfuck babe,â you just smirk at him and then spit in your hand. changkyun groans and throws his head back against the headrest, soon enough youâre leaning down and taking him into your mouth and heâs whining your name in between strings of curses. you manage to finish him off before you even get home.
changkyun gets back at you and youâre sure the entire apartment complex knows his name now
