Okay so this is a super random theory but

What if Buddy was someone who found a key somehow, almost like how Chase found Silver, except he tried to return it and got kidnapped. What if we learn that he’s someone who went missing. What if that’s why Buddy hasn’t like, tried to encourage Chase to put the key back where he found it. Because he knows what’ll happen.

It’s better than my current idea in that he has no clue how he came into existence and doesn’t even know his birthday and never had a cake with his name on it or someone sing him happy birthday chat I’m totally not crying over that every time I think about it

i hope that the og elias bouchard wasn't aware of what jonah was doing. i hope that he wasn't forced to watch it. to see how someone was using his body to manipulate workers at the job he once loved, or to hurt people just to complete a ritual. because i believe that elias bouchard was an anxious people pleaser, who liked his work and genuinely thought that the classification of the statements at the institute could actually help people. because elias bouchard might have come from a rich family but he was a person for the people and jonah made him into the very thing that he hated.

Theory time: I think Ashton was in love with one(or more) of the nobodies. Like full head over heels love. Will and Orym love. Laudna and Imogen love. And they left him behind. They said he wasn't worth bringing back. It wasn't just about being alone when they came back, after all as others have pointed out Milo was there, it was about someone specific not being there. The person they trust most throwing them away. That was the loneliness they think the other don't know about.
