Maybe! I'm gonna take this ASK as a chance to elaborate more on why people got so confused about this whole thing.

So I looked more into it, and one of the misunderstandings also came from one of the staff members (jv) who said that yes, tits are allowed again but their reblog has been deleted. Was it deleted because they were mistaken or told to take it down? Who knows?

Combine that with what was written and the post left many people to think that nsfw. art was back on board.

And it's followed by this.

I'm not a porn bot and I posted art of characters in what i consider a very private moment. I ended up getting shadow banned with my account still under investigation, so I might vanish from this platform over all this. Nothing in the community guide lines has actually changed.

"illustrations-that depicts sex acts" But isn't fanart of your favorite ship in a very private moment a sex act? Everything that was posted is left to interpretation. Nothing has changed. All they did was add community labels to censor the website, which I don't have a problem with, but they mislead a lot of users.

These are the only exceptions, but I'm guessing they have to be labeled now. But I don't know for sure, because it doesn't say so. I'm just guessing!

If it's only okay to post pictures of after-birth moments and breastfeeding, does that mean it's not okay to post breasts on illustrations? Where illustrations are mentioned it never clearly says "Yes you can" or "no you can't" and in the exceptions to the rules it's also not mentioned so in the end everything is left to guessing.

People have different views and interpretations of an idea, but for something like rules that can get your account shadow banned, tumblr needs to be clear as day instead of trying to be "fun". They needed to clearly state that the community guide lines(rules) have not changed at all with a link to it instead of "This doesn’t change our content policies: spam, hate content, and porn bots are still not welcome in the community." It says nothing about sexy art and they clearly wrote before that I could draw ships i like in private moments.

Also, the labels aren't an option; they're a requirement.

1. why did you choose your url?

simply put i adore louis and i like purple and it just rolled off the tongue lol, but i also had a list of possible urls i also liked and i had to snatch this one up while i could!

yes i have four....i'm not one of those 'everything goes on main and you can deal with it' type people.... but i have an inspiration blog @prickelndauge (art insp, lots of fashion, cool photography), an art-only blog @swmpwxtch, one just for spooky/creepy content because i'm really into horror manga and scary movies and that kind of stuff but i keep it off of main because i know a lot of it can often be triggering to others! (i also don't post much there but @bonepickng) and one for art references, life tips, random resources, and more donation sharing @am-ref!

soooo long i thought i'd be gone by now tbh. i know i signed up in 2011 after just browsing the site through random blogs and tags for ages, but i didn't start actively using my own account until early 2012!

when i actually remember to tag things i have queued i'll use 'i'm sleep queue' because all my early morning posts everyday are queued....i am an insomniac rip

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

keeping up with my interests better! i was like 15/16 at the time so it made sense. back in Ye Olde Days much like now—i really have come full circle lmao—it was mostly just for 1d and then some random tv shows/franchises i just to see content of semi-often, as well as finding cool art!

6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?

rn it's just a regular pic of louis! as much as i like using my collages or little edits as my icons, you can't see much of anything and it looks too busy sometimes (but also the photo i have rn....i am always thinking thoughts about it soooo)

7. why did you choose your header?

it's pretty! i wanted everything to follow a color scheme + i love embroidery and fancy gowns!

ok i thought it was gonna be one of my old larry chibi doodles because i know a few of them hit 1k+ notes, but i deleted those in 2017 and apparently now it's this 6 year old like....funky photo study i did of dan howell from 2015 when i still watched him and amazingphil a lot?? i mean at least it's something i was once proud of lmao....there's a few art posts i have with semi decent notes that i pretend i Do Not See

i think rn 40 something so not very many, although i unfollowed a lot of people i was moots with when i left my last fanbase so that's probably why 😬 i've been meaning to check out more HL/ot5 people though!! i love mutual interaction but i'm afraid of being annoying if i'm any degree of attentive

overall i have almost 2.4k rn, but there's a decent amount that are totally inactive or at least don't interact with me so it feels like....a lot less lmao but since re-joining 1d i've already made up like all the people i lost when i left my other fanbase of almost three and more so thank you for actually liking my work and maybe me as well 🥺💗

in the past i have had some....issues with other people i've met on here but never directly had confrontation with them? most of the time that's happened i figure it's been one-sided though because i can get irritated with certain behavior really quickly—like i always say my heart is big and open but my bullshit tolerance is dangerously low—but when that's the case i'll just unfollow or block without saying anything?

although back in the day there was one instance (and seriously if anyone remembers this you deserve a medal because this shit was Ridiculous) where i kinda but not really called out another 1d fanartist who posted untagged noncon fanart they'd done of at least two of the boys, and then acted like it was no big deal (like. 1. those are irl people my dude and 2. untagged noncon art?? in front of my salad??) and their friends kept defending them for it and tried to come for me claiming i was a proponent of Purity Culture when i'm not and literally all i said in my post on it was that in my own opinion it was kinda fucked up to draw noncon art of real life people—not characters played by actors! but actual real people as themselves—in the first place, but if you felt the need to post highly triggering content like that the least you could do was tag it accordingly

but i think that was the last time properly so i guess times within this fanbase are still chaotic as ever just in a different way?

This will be the first and last time I'll be talking about this so buckle up, it's going to be LONG.

So today I heard this thing about fanartists demanding their followers not to repost their art. (And I say demand because I actually searched and noticed some were extremely rude)

And let me tell you, no matter how hard you try to convice me, I DON'T GET IT. Let me tell you why:

Definition of fanartist (by Wiki): Fan art or fanart is artwork created by fans of a work of fiction and derived from a series character or other aspect of that work.

So far so good. But a little connotation there, you call yourself an artist so it is a given that your art will be shared.

Have you seen a music artist asking fans not to repost their songs? No.

Have you seen Leonardo Da Vinci (a painter / artist) rising up from his grave and asking ppl to take down the pictures of the Mona Lisa from the internet? No

Have you seen book/manga/anime writers asking the fanartists not to base their drawings/edits on their work? No.

This goes back to a basic rule of plagiarism. Like when teachers tell you to quote properly the source whenever you need to write an essay. You can use the source but not own it.

So, as long as people repost and give the right credits, there should not be a problem... or else don't consider yourself an artist whichever you prefer. 🤷‍♀️

Mind you, I'm just giving my respectful opinion. Don't start dissing me. I know how some adooore to start fighting but i'm seriously not in the mood for it.

I've said this before on a post I made (and deleted): i'm in the "sharing is caring" deal. To me, reposting while giving proper credits is not owning the art; it is sharing sth with people and sharing the love for the fandom (practically free publicity when you think about it).

Now to conclude this post let me tell you: I respect that there may be people who will not agree with me; it is fine. Artists can make their own decisions to ask/demand others to bring the reposts down. But it will be impossible. Why? Too many social apps and too many accounts. If fanartists do not want their fanarts to be reposted, then maybe it's best that they do not post them in the first place. Again, this is solely my opinion. You may or may not agree with me.

Do I have fanarts in this account? Yes.

Will I delete them? No. Why? Reasons exposed above.

Will I keep posting fanarts? Depends. If the owner of the fanart agrees to reposting, then I will. I have found that there are fanartists who let ppl repost with proper credit (especially latino fanartists, you guys are the best 🙌). If the owner of the fanart does not agree to reposting, then I won't repost. It's as simple as that.

Ok this has a story. So in 2017 I started reading Homestuck and found this artist that had a lot of cool drawings and comics!! (I don't remember their name but they moved out of that fandom a while ago) but they mainly used tumblr to post all their art. They also made fanart of a lot of the shows I liked at the time like Voltron and Steven Universe, so I eventually made an account to keep track of everything, ended up following a bunch of other people and never left this hellsite (affectionate <3)

It's a self portrait and the best one I ever made or ever will.

VERY BAD but i am a hypocrite bc i do still read fanfiction from time to time, including stories abt bts and i try to stop that and instead look for original work or just stop going on ao3 altogether as it's an endless pool of abuse-romanticizing stories, regardless of the specific fandoms you're looking for. i also still have an ao3 account up with fics which i haven't posted shit on since like... 2016. i should honestly just delete it but i'm very bad at deleting stuff, even if i'm not proud of my stories bc they're abt real ppl and ofc this stuff makes them (and me) uncomfortable. so i'm trying to work on quitting reading fanfiction and removing my account, but it's hard for me to break w bad habits i guess as i'm also still popping bumps on my skin (bc dermatillomania, not sel fharm on purpose) so im covered in scars nd red spots. maybe a weird comparison but i hope it could illustrate how i find it hard to quit habits that make me feel bad.

but back to the topic of shipping, it's bad ofc, and i HATE how almost everyone in the fandom seems to ship real people so openly and unapologetically. ppl who i follow on tumblr and twitter who appear to have good morals / politics most of the time, suddenly share text, fanart, or fics that are fetishizing the members and portraying their relations with one another as romantic. they're so fed up with 'delulu' fans who try to convince others that bts members are dating (a fan or each other), but then continue to gush about which members they ship. as long as it's fine because it's fictional, and that it supposedly has no repurcussions(?) irl. taehyung has made clear to army multiple times that they are behaving awfully when they insinuate that members are dating each other. fans applaud him for being this 'bold' in his reply and telling 'delulus' the truth but they're honestly no different to me when they dedicate their time to shipping the same, real people and sharing their fantasies and 'AUs' online. it's fucking weird and uncomfortable and i'm trying to avoid this shit but it's hard when it's everywhere.

ME & A.C.E:

I found A.C.E from their busking videos. I’m a big fan of BIGBANG (ot4, Seungri can choke, don’t get it twisted.) I saw this video of them dancing to BBB and Good Boy and I was immediately taken. Tons of groups cover BIGBANG but so few do it well. They were so confident that I was interested in them right away and watched most of their videos right after.

I followed their youtube channel and watched them casually until Callin kicked in my door and forced me to legitimately jump into fandom life for the first time in my 10+ years of listening to Korean music. I took the time to learn their history, all about the members, talk to other Choice to learn more about them, and soon after created this blog!

Even though I knew about them before their debut I don’t consider myself a “predebut fan” because I didn’t really dive in head first until Callin. You’re valid as a fan no matter when you started to stan!! As long as you love, respect, and support A.C.E you’re cool w me.

ok so i have explained the origin of my url a couple of times but! let’s hear it again! so while i was in high school, i was obsessed with j.r. ward’s black dagger brotherhood series and brother vishous was my favorite out of all the vampires of the brotherhood. the royalty theme also stuck with me and i liked “viscount” a lot. i made this nickname for one of my random nintendo ds games originally and then it followed me around lol (my original url on tumblr was in finnish. i have tried to leave that one behind haha)

nope. tho i sometimes consider making one? but i feel like that would put too much pressure on me so i just gather everything here like the trash collector i am

in 2013 i was living and breathing manga/anime. tumblr was a place for all the nice fanart and edits and i just went around looking at those. i can’t remember when i actually started posting anything for this blog bc for a while i just lurked here looking at things but it happened. then i slowly started expanding from there as i moved on from anime to different tv series and movies and kpop and now dramas

current one (and the previous one too) is bc this man lives in my brain rent free. it’s closing in on one year since i started watching reboot and i still cannot move on from liu sang and how much i love his character and the whole world of dmbj. this fandom really is a pit and i am shoveling dirt to get deeper each day

this too applies to the previous one bc i associate liu sang with forests, especially foggy ones. i looooove the aesthetic of foggy hills and this feeling of mystery but also freedom it gives me. tho i’ve been thinking about making a new layout again bc the current green color reminds me of that foam we use for plastic flowers to stick them up in their pots lol

yes i adore them ;; i remember being so jealous at times when i was just chilling alone on tumblr, rolling around in my own corner, when i saw ppl doing tag games and never had any mutuals to do those with. and now i have a ton! of amazing ppl!! tagging me into things!!! it’s so much fun ♥

17. Do you like ask games?

sometimes? i don’t think am someone who really receives any asks but there are some amazing ppl who humor me every time ♥ also me and @i-am-just-a-kiddo sometimes play these “ask games” by ourselves on google docs :’D we just copy the whole list of questions and answer those and talk about our answers. we’ve done some writer questions especially bc we like to talk about writing and our projects and difficulties. 

18. Which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous?

there are a couple of ppl on our network especially who intimidate me a bit bc of this O.O also some of our dmbj crew haha (especially looking at you sierra @jockvillagersonly ♥)

hmm several. tho i easily develop all these friend crushes on ppl. odds are am in love with everybody at least a little bit! but what is friendship on tumblr dot com if you are not confessing your undying love to your mutual at least once a meme post
