What just happened?
This is the only place on socials that I feel I can fully put into words what's happened to me today.
It started out fairly annoying, I woke up 2 hours before I should have been up. It then became "why am I here?" when it took 2 hours to be called in for a simple blood draw.
And then...I found out that I placed as a quarterfinalist in a screenwriting contest. This is the first time I have ever placed with a script, and it was with a pilot variation of the feature film script that I wrote to get my MA in film. This was the second contest that I heard from, and I didn't place at all in the first, so I am still in shock over this.
I used to work in the fine arts department of my local county fair. I was taught that getting any kind of award, even honorable mention, means something because it means that you have made someone feel something enough that they couldn't just shrug their shoulders and walk away, saying "yeah, it's okay." Honorable mention means something. Quarterfinalist means something.
So why do I feel so weird about it?
The pilot is only a second draft. Yes, I've been working on it for almost 3 years in various forms (short, feature, pilot), but it doesn't seem like I should have submitted it. And yet I did.
I've been writing fanfiction since I was 12. In fact, my first fanfic was a script (it was never published anywhere and I'm pretty sure the file is now corrupted since it was saved to a floppy). And yet, this feels like a bigger win than getting positive feedback in comments on a fic. And it shouldn't. Writing fanfiction is just as important, maybe even more than, as any original story that could ever be written. Writing fanfiction means taking something that you LOVE with everything that you are and saying "hey, look, this may be a crappy story, but I love this fandom, and I had to write something to show everyone my love, even if you hate it, this is my love.
I guess script writing is the same. I've written these 46 pages. I've submitted them. Saying to the contest readers "please read my work, my life, my love, and tell me what you think."
I am shaking. Literally shaking (yes, it might be low blood sugar, but I think it's shock). Why did I place? I have an analysis to read, a script to edit, two more scripts to finish and submit to a workshop contest. I should be focusing on other things. So why am I freaking out?
While I've posted about my placement on other socials, here feels friendlier than most. Here we show our love and our hate and our appreciation and our creativity and and and...everything that makes us who we are.
I don't care if no one reads this. I just had to write down everything that I'm feeling.
If you go this far, thank you.

It really, really pisses me off when people steal work from other writers. You are not a writer if you steal from other people. It took you moments to steal something from another writer that could've taken them anywhere from hours to weeks to years to write. I don't think a lot of people who aren't creators of creative content (art, writing, gifs, etc) truly understand how devasting, disheartening and infuriating it is to have your work stolen. Not to mention traumatic.
I speak from experience. I tried to make a webseries years back, got the pilot shot and everything and then the editor held my work hostage because he wanted it for himself (wanted to add and cut what he wanted) and me being green had shared all my scripts with him. I had to go to a solicitor and threaten him with legal action. Thankfully, I had got him to sign a contract. It was one of the most traumatic experiences I have ever been through. I couldn't even go through with filming the rest of the series, something I was so in love with before. I am overly cautious about sharing now and still haven't worked up the courage to post on here (with over 50 fics over 2yrs) since the youngm*neymill fiasco.
I am so sorry this happened to you. It may seem trivial to some who want to defend their faves or friends because it's "just fanfiction" but it's YOUR words. YOUR hours. YOUR effort. It's YOURS. And no one should feel entitled to even lift a sentence of it. FUCK THEM THIEVES. They are cowards. They could've asked for help, asked for pointers, confided in someone about their insecurities, taken a break, read a book, done a hundred other things to improve their own writing. To me, folks do that stuff for attention. They think they deserve the accolades or praise they see others getting and want to skip the process to get to the cream without struggle or effort and I truly hate that for them.
Sorry for the rant but this is triggering. You have produced swaths of quality work and you shouldn't have to worry that posting will make you vulnerable to such a gross violation. It sucks the fun out of everything.
I love your work and I am going to continue to love on your work. 🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿 may they protect you from those who lie to themselves about their badmind actions.
First let me say that I’m so very sorry that happened to you. That’s awful, and I hope you do find the heart to post your stuff (and finish your web series) one day!
Second, thanks so much for the kind words. I was and still am pretty goddamn offended. Like… she tagged me in the freakin fic… the audacity that takes bro sksksjs then, when I confronted her and showed her screen shots of the shit she lifted from me, she lied to my freakin face about it. Literally told me that she started her fic before I posted mine… but yet had the exact same intro/set up/characters/lines/warnings/premise as my fic did… that I posted a year ago… And then she posted a fic the day after I confronted her lmaooo as if our entire conversation never happened. As if she hadn’t already plagiarized 3 fics from myself and someone else and had been confronted by both of us (all within like a month, by the way)
I mean… I guess content creators kinda do sign this invisible contract with the internet when we post publicly, cuz any and everybody can then copy and paste our stuff and put their name on it because it’s out there in the void. I just thought more people would have some freakin integrity and wouldn’t want to ruin the one thing we find pleasure in, which is fandom. And sure, I’ve blocked buckybarnesplumwhore and her main blog, but because tumblr is a joke, she can still log on to desktop and see my blog and fics unfiltered. So yeah, i just feel really blah about writing and posting right now, and that sucks cuz she’s still just posting away as if this never happened.
Man, I really need Chris or Sebastian to post a pic of their tiddies to break this funk I got going on 😝

Thank you so much to @herosofmarvelanddc @cloudypaws and @mtab2260 for the tag! This was so much fun to think about :)
(fair warning, I wrote too much for many of these...)
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
Just 2 :)
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
450,577 if I did my math right!
3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
Officially? Just 1 - Agents of Shield (two, I guess, if you count MCU as separate, since I use characters from both...). Off the record, many more than that! I have lots of bits and bobs from other fandoms that I tinkered with when I was younger, still getting the hang of writing, not brave enough to post things, etc. etc. Some of those include X-Men, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, the Fosters, Star Wars, the Hunger Games, the 39 Clues, and a few others I can’t remember. None of those will likely see the light of day, mostly because they’re unfinished, not very good, and just not reflective of who I am as a writer anymore, but they were fun to play around with at the time :)
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
I just have the two, but The Important Thing is to Try wins, hands down, with 1227. Shoulder to Shoulder has 95, though, which I’m also very proud of! Important Thing has a definite advantage, being as long as it is, so I don’t know if that’s really a fair comparison between them.
5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
Yes! Or at least, I always try to! I just can’t believe someone would be kind enough to take the time to tell me what they thought of my story, so I always want to take the time to thank them and return the favor :) Plus, as I’ve learned, it’s a fantastic way to get to know some really lovely people!
6. What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?
Well... I technically only have one story that has an ending, at least on Ao3, and it’s not an especially angsty one, since it ends in Phil and Melinda getting married :) I have some angsty chapter endings in Important Thing, if that counts? I’m not even sure if any of my unpublished fiddlings have angsty endings (most don’t have endings at all lol)... I don’t mind writing angst, but I don’t know if I’m capable of making something without a happy (or at least hopeful) ending.
7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you've ever written?
Not really, unless you count AoS/MCU crossovers (which I guess technically count, but also I would argue it’s not a true crossover since (and I will die on this hill) AoS is a part of MCU canon). When I was younger I was a fan of playing around with crossover AUs more so than the actual characters crossing paths (so like, what if these characters from XYZ were demigods or went to Hogwarts or what have you, and not so much what would happen if the X-Men met Luke, Leia, and Han on one of their space adventures). I started writing a crossover between AoS and the Marvel Rising cartoon once (which again, not sure if that’s a true crossover, since Daisy was in Marvel Rising, but I digress), where Coulson tasks Daisy to work with Kate Bishop and Rayshaun Lucas to collect and train a team of young Inhumans, starting with Kamala Khan, but I ran out of steam pretty quickly when it got too plot heavy.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
I don’t think so. I’ve had some people not understand some choices that I made, but they asked it in a way that I thought was perfectly nice, and I was happy to talk about it with them. Sometimes people get “mad” at me when I cause pain and suffering, but I know that’s all in good fun :)
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Nope, not for me. I don’t read it or write it, personally. Writing a kiss is hard enough!
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge! Important Thing is probably too long and unwieldy to ever steal :P
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Someone once asked me on FFN if they could translate Important Thing to Russian, which was basically the coolest thing I’ve ever been asked!
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
A fic, no. I’d love to try sometime! I had a friend in college who I co-wrote with A LOT, though, so I know I enjoy that process, given the right partner. We wrote several short plays together (ranging from ~15-50 minutes in length, including one that we wrote in a single afternoon!), selected scenes from a larger (unfinished) play inspired by historical letters we found in an archive that were sent between a man from Massachusetts serving in the American Civil War, his wife, and his 8-year-old son, and several scripts for TV sitcoms (2 pilots for 2 different shows, plus additional eps for those pilots, and a couple of later eps for a different show that a classmate of ours wrote the pilot for - we were trying to practice what it would be like to be on a staff with a showrunner haha). The sitcom scripts in particular I’m very proud of, and could talk somebody’s ear off about if asked (one’s about ghost hunters and one’s about a DnD party!), but maybe that’s better saved for another post ;)
13. What's your all-time favorite ship?
That’s a very hard question for me! Mostly because shipping stuff is usually one of the last things to register for me when I’m thinking about shows/books/movies I like haha... I’m always a sucker for Philinda, and younger me was rather taken with Percabeth, I suppose.
14. What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?
Hmm, several, really. The aforementioned AoS/Marvel Rising crossover I think could be really cool if I got it to work, but I don’t think that’ll ever happen. I also have a WIP that’s like an angstier version of a Hallmark Christmas movie AU where Daisy has to come home to her small town right before Christmas and figure out what she wants out of life, but I’m a little stalled out on that one, mostly because I’m waffling on who the charming love interest should be and because I don’t have enough of a plot, just lots of feelings about coming back home to a place you thought you had left behind lol.
I’d put Important Thing and it’s (as of yet) untitled sequel on here as things I want to finish, but I’m much more determined to see those through, so I don’t think they qualify for the “never will actually write” part of this question :)
15. What are your writing strengths?
I don’t know if other people agree with this, but I think I write pretty decent dialogue. My “training” (if you can call it that) is in, as you might have figured out by now, script and screenplay writing (those were the only creative writing classes I took in college). So having a sense of the rhythm a conversation needs to have and how to write dialogue that sounds mostly like how people really talk (but shined and tightened up enough so that it’s not actually like verbatim dialogue, which is far less interesting to read!) is something that I feel like comes pretty easily. I also think I do okay with similes and metaphors - my brain tends to work in that way. It’s easier for me to think of stuff (feelings, especially) in terms of comparing it to more familiar things than to just think of the thing directly, if that makes sense?
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
If I was being honest, this would be a very long section, but I know it’s not fun to read a big ol’ paragraph of someone self-criticizing, so I’ll keep it to one or two items ;) A big one for me is pacing, I think. I tend to write more than I need to and to over-explain things, so my chapters get very long and sometimes don’t really go anywhere? Until all of the sudden, they DO, because things need to HAPPEN! I’m a pretty rigorous self-editor, but I do have a really hard time cutting out sections (unless they’re really just not working), so even if it would help the pacing to leave out this conversation between character A and character B, I often can’t make myself cut it. I also think I struggle sometimes with balancing my ‘showing’ and my ‘telling,’ especially in the sense of me over-explaining certain things - like when it comes to feelings/facial expressions/etc, for example. I compensate for that in Important Thing by making it a part of a few people’s POV, but it’s not really a good habit to have in general. Also spelling! I’m really bad at spelling and run my stuff through robust spellchecks and text-to-speech before I post anything to make up for it :)
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I do it with some regularity, although I always get nervous about doing it wrong! It’s hard to avoid in AoS, where characters are spies and should (in theory, at least) have a working knowledge of multiple languages (”We’re spies, I thought we all learned languages?!”). Even in an AU, where characters aren’t spies, I like to try and pay homage to that, plus pay homage to certain characters’ native languages or just general multilingualism. I’ve spent a fair amount of time around people who speak more than one language, so I feel like it’s a natural part of groups of people to have more than one language spoken. I have a pretty good handle on written Spanish, a patchy idea of French, plus I know some Russian phrases from my dad and some German words from my grandfather, but I do rely on internet translation a lot. I usually run stuff through google, then run it backwards to see just how far off the initial translation was, then consult some actual, like, language learning sites to see if there’s particular idioms or common phrases that use different words than what google will give me, then run those words through backwards in the place of the original words to see if I can massage the whole thing to sound reasonably competent. Languages like Russian or Mandarin (which have their own alphabets/characters) are the hardest, since I have to also try and do a transliteration. I always try to put an apology/disclaimer in the notes any time I write in a language that isn’t English, because I’m sure I make lots of mistakes.
Also, I tend not to italicize words that are in other languages, because it looks weird on the page to me to set the other language apart like that (and because I italicize mainly for internal thoughts or emphasis, and usually what’s being said in another language isn’t internal or being emphasized). I put a rough translation at the end so we don’t have to pause the story for a parenthetical translation, but because the translation’s not right there, I try to either put in enough context clues that a person can still understand what’s going on, or I make sure that what’s written in another language isn’t critical to the overall understanding of the scene.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Officially, it’s AoS, since that’s the only fandom I’ve published for. I think the first true fandom I wrote fic for was probably either Harry Potter (entirely populated with OCs lol, I just liked using the world/setting), Percy Jackson (a mix of OCs and canon characters), or X-Men (all canon characters). I was a bit of a latecomer to fanfiction, though, like, I wrote a ton as a kid, but mostly original stuff, because I didn’t know that fanfiction in its current form was even allowed until I was in high school lol.
Oh! I almost forgot one! I’m not sure if this really counts as a fandom, but it’s definitely the earliest version of fanfic I wrote haha... I was like 12 and I wrote more than one story of an OC joining Robin Hood’s band of Merry Men, and then also one of that same OC becoming a knight of the Round Table, so like... do what you will with that information haha.
19. What's you're favorite fic you've written?
I can’t choose between my two darlings :( I mean, okay, technically it’s probably Important Thing. That story’s my baby. It’s huge and I’ve been working on it for almost 2 years, and I’ve poured a lot of my heart and soul into it. I’ve fallen in love with the universe I built in it, so much so that I wrote an entire prequel and have very concrete plans for a lengthy sequel. But I can’t not crow about Shoulder to Shoulder (the aforementioned prequel!), too... I’m just really proud of that one - it has a lot of firsts for me. First completed story. First romance-focused story. First foray into expanding the Important Thing universe. But yes, if I have to choose, then Important Thing wins. That’s a story that I started writing exclusively for myself - to give myself characters I could relate to and to explore a style of AoS fic that I loved reading - and that’s a story I will always and forever be proud of.
I think most people have probably answered this tag game at this point, so I don’t want to accidentally retag anyone! If you haven’t yet, and would like to join in, please do! This is your invitation <3

Haven Fanfics to Read While Quarantined
Hi! I am not currently quarantined, but I am practicing “Social Distance” or avoiding spending time with people face to face, and I can’t go to school or work. This means I’m going to be reading and writing a lot for the next few weeks. I suggest you all do the same, and to get you started, here’s a list of fanfics I love that you should read!
1. Mine. Please read my works!
Something That Never Was Mine-- A Season Four AU Threegulls fic that I’ll be finishing pretty soon!
The Many Lives of Mara-- An exploration of who Mara was and the people she became later.
Small Town Gays-- Nathan and Duke growing up and growing apart.
Excuse Me Forgetting-- A fluffy post-canon oneshot.
2. Ashe @lawlessferalgay‘s READ ASHE’S WORK!!!
Dance With A Devil On Your Back-- AU where Audrey goes into the barn and Duke and Nathan have to find a way to cope with it. Absolutely incredible and you’re a fool if you haven’t read it yet.
Just A Little Rush-- Explicit Threegulls fic that is VERY good ;)
You Make A Fool of Death-- A much needed soft scene between Duke and Nathan after he recovered from his death
3. Other (This list would be extremely long if I separated by every single author, please know that I think you’re all incredible, and I recommend everything I’ve read from folks on this list, these are just my favorites)
Just Getting Comfy by @cookiedoughmeagain-- A cute (but sexy!) AU where Duke and Nathan are neighbors.
Heir to The Herald by @demisexualnathanvuornos-- A Post Canon fic that combines elements from the pilot script
The Void Series by serendipityxxi-- Season Five Threegulls AU that should be a staple for the fandom.
If you have more that you think I should have included, Add them!!

Always (my sunshine)
This will be a countdown fic for my precious Kise Ryouta’s birthday! The idea was taken from this prompt. Thank you, @trash-by-vouge for the beautiful prompts! I read the prompts and the desire to write just overtook me.
Bye bye, Amend. You’ll just have to wait in line for now.
It’s Aokise ofc. What else could it be? Prompt #13: in a letter
This one is for my beloved Ate Roch, @vanilladaydreams22!!! This isn’t one of your choices but I hope you’ll like it anyway~ I did promise that I’ll give you the next fic I write that isn’t angst. This isn’t. At least I don’t think so?
This is also my first time posting a full story here. Check out my ao3 account for more of my works.
It’s that time of the year yet again. A time for celebration and gifts. A time to be thankful and happy for another year in his life. And another year for them. Yet Ryouta can’t help but let out a big sigh. He doesn’t feel like celebrating at all. In fact celebrating is so far in his mind right now.
Thousands of miles up in the air, flying away from home instead of towards it. “Must’ve been quite a bummer, senpai.” Ryouta heard his co-pilot, Sakuraba Souta speak beside him upon seeing the discontent in his face.
“Yeah, it was supposed to be my birthday yet I’m on my way flying away from my family,” replied Ryouta as he fiddled in the controls continually checking the flight parameters. Multitasking has been honed into Ryouta for as long as he could remember. And becoming a pilot has only sharpened this skill even more.
“I did try to plead with the boss not to call you up. I know just how much you’ve been looking forward to this day.” His co-pilot’s voice was colored with sympathy and apology. Sakuraba has been working with him for almost two years already ever since the younger one’s arrival in the company and they’ve been paired to fly for almost just as long. Ryouta’s last long-drawn flight for Germany was also accompanied by Sakuraba and he has been talking the younger one’s ear off with his plans for his upcoming birthday. And Sakuraba with his infinite patience and steady friendship, bless him, have been quite a help in curbing his longing for his husband. The ring in Ryouta’s left finger glinted beautifully as if sensing its owner’s thoughts. His husband. Aomine Daiki. Daiki was nice enough to drive Ryouta to the airport wishing him a cheerful ‘happy birthday’ even though he knew that he was just as disappointed as he was if not even more.
Just remembering about the derailed plans were almost enough to compel Ryouta to shout in exasperation. Only years of training and professionalism prevented him from throwing a tantrum when he was called in for duty.
“It can’t be helped, I guess. It’s not Ukaji-kun’s fault that he caught a cold. You must be worried about him, too,” replied Ryouta but his disappointment was still very much evident in his voice. It was not a secret in the company that two of their most eligible pilots were actually seeing one another.
“I am but I’m sure he’ll manage. For now senpai will just have to think about how much Aomine-san will spoil you once you finally get back.” Sakuraba stated in an attempt to cheer his senpai up.
“Spioil me, huh?” Ryouta smiled at the thought. “You’re right, Souta-kun. Thank you.”
And the rest of the flight was obviously spent in a much lighter mood.
Glancing at his wristwatch, Ryouta saw that it was only 8PM in the evening which meant that his birthday was already over back in Japan. Ryouta was almost compelled to give his husband a ring just to hear his voice but knowing that difference in time zones and just how much the other needed the rest. It was Daiki’s long awaited vacation after all, the season was just finished with a straight win for their team. He deserved it and more. And Ryouta wasn’t there to pamper him instead. He visibly shook his head to dispel the depressing thoughts as he headed to the shower of his hotel room.
Fresh out of the shower, Ryouta was clad in his sleeping wear and was about to simply nod off the disappointing day when he noticed the display in the table facing the beautiful scenery of an evening Paris.
There was a bottle of wine and a bouquet of tulips beside it which were obviously absent just before he went to shower. Curious, Ryouta went to the table to take a closer look. Aside from the wine and the flowers, a letter was nestled between them waiting to be noticed. Ryouta sat down absentmindedly far too curious about the letter.
For the sunshine of my life. Ryouta read the scripted writing in the envelope. He was unable to control the smile that bloomed in his face, for there was only one person he knew that addressed him that way.
Ryouta had to take a deep breath to calm his rapidly beating heart and the wide smile in his face.
Sunshine,
I first met you when I was thirteen. And I’d be lying if I told you that I already knew that the rest of my life will be spent side by side with the idiot that followed me like a puppy and looked at me like I was the one that hung the stars in the evening sky. No, I didn’t knew it back then but I do now and I can’t help but laugh on just how much our situation were reversed right now. To the point that sometimes I’d want you to see yourself in my eyes because for me it wasn’t simply the stars that you hung in the sky. It was you that gave the colors to my whole world. The reason why I wake up every day is simply to share it with you. Just like what I always call you, you really are my own personal sunshine.
I can’t help but cringe in reading whatever this is that I’ve written but I know that the smile and happiness it’d give you will be more than enough as compensation.
Twenty eight years ago, this piece of sunshine on earth was born and my whole being is bursting with thankfulness for it. And three years ago, I was blessed to legally declare to the world that this person is mine and mine alone. I know it was never a necessity for the two of us, for we already were more than sure on what we feel for one another but the world demanded it and I’m not the one to complain. I get to legally call you, Aomine Ryouta after all.
Love, I will spend the rest of my life sharing the happiness that you’ve given me and it’s too much that forever isn’t enough. Well, neither one of us believes in forever anyways. So let’s settle for always, okay?
Happy birthday, love. And happy anniversary.
Always yours,
Daiki
Ryouta was sobbing right out by the time he finished reading the letter. He quietly folded the letter and reached for his phone dialling a number that he knew by heart. The call was picked up on its third ring.
“Took you long enough,” Daiki’s gruff voice answered on the other end accompanied by a yawn. “I was almost ready to shut down here. Did you like my surprise, love?”
But Ryouta didn’t reply. He was too busy controlling his emotions and keeping his tears at bay to which he was proving to be unsuccessful.
“You crybaby.” Ryouta heard Daiki say on the phone full of fondness in his voice. “It’s supposed to make you smile, love. Not to make you bawl like a baby.”
“I am,” Ryouta choked out in between his sobs. “I am happy, Daiki. So much. I love you, too.”
“I didn’t even said it yet.” Daiki heard Ryouta continue sniffling but he was glad that he has calmed down enough to talk.
“You did. The whole letter was obviously screaming it out loud. I heard it loud and clear.” This time Daiki could almost see the smile that Ryouta wore on that beautiful face of his.
“Yeah,” Daiki quietly replied his voice would be choked with emotions if he said anything more. His heart was overflowing with love for his sunshine and he badly want him to be able to touch him and whisper to him everything he wrote in that damned letter and more no matter how cringe worthy they were.
“I miss you,” whispered Ryouta with a voice full of longing.
“18 hours more, love.” Daiki whispered back as if afraid for the world to hear their confessions to one another.
“It’s too long.”
“I know. I think so too. But I’ll be here. Waiting.”
“And I’ll come running back. To your side.” Ryouta poured all the love he felt for his husband as he uttered the word. “Always.”
And he clearly heard the reciprocated emotions in the whisper, “Always.”
Happy birthday my baby~ Since he’s born on June (btw, I’m also a June baby~) and it’s usually a month for weddings I guess it’s fitting for them to be married on his birthday. The OC’s were taken from the awesome Kusabi Keri-sensei’s manga, Seifuku wo Matoeba, Umaku Uso ga Tsuketa no ni. They are also pilots there so it’s very fitting though they are OOC here. This is also my first established!AoKise~ So happy!

________________________________________________________________
When I started this post I thought to write about a plane that crashed, one that never took off, one that returned after just minutes and one full of sleeping people apart from a little frightened girl. Well, as it turned out there is a lot more to find regarding planes in Sherlock BBC. Aeroplanes play quite a big role in this story it seems.
The very first plane in this story stays invisible. It takes Sherlock away to Eastern Europe ..... and back again ____
Sherlock is called to Minsk in Belarus. It's the beginning of TGG. The case of Barry Berwick - domestic murder - which Sherlock doesn't take.
Source of pic: Nixxie fic
A plane full of dead people crashes ___________________
It's the rehearsal of 'The flight of the dead' in ASIB. One of the intended passengers of that flight from Berlin to Düsseldorf turns up dead in the boot of a car in Southwark. 'Sherlock Holmes baffled' is the title John chooses for this unsolved case. The counter on John's blog reaches1895 hits. And in TLD there lies another man in the boot of a car. Thankfully not dead.
A plane full of dead people never takes off ______________
Sherlock deciphers a code. A secret information is passed on from Irene to Jim. Because of that the 'terrorist cells' are warned. 'They' know that Mycroft knows of 'the bomb' and 'The flight of the dead' gets cancled.

'Afraid' of a plane crash _____________________________
MARY: I can hear a squeaking. Can you hear a squeaking? PASSENGER: No. MARY: Only I watched a documentary on the Discovery Channel. “Why Planes Fail.” Did you see it? PASSENGER: Can’t say I did. MARY: Oh, truly terrifying. Swore I would never fly again, yet here I am! FLIGHT ATTENDANT: Everything okay, madam? MARY: No! No, no, it’s not, but then what’s the use in complaining? I hear a squeaking. Probably the wing’ll come off, is all.
A plane in danger to crash ___________________________
Everyone is sleeping ... just one little girl is awake. Before she walks through the aisle in surch for someone who could help her, she stares out of the window into the night. She doesn't know how to land the plane.
Landing the plane ? _________________________________
The door to Eurus room at Musgrave Hall opens also the door to the cockpit of the plane. The little girl is sitting in the chair of the co-pilot.
Sleeping on a plane ________________________________
Sherlock comes back from his cancled suicide mission just minutes after taking off. A very short hiatus.
Mary returns to London with Sherlock and John. Not a very long hiatus, it seems. The seating arrangement is quite strange. Sherlock and Mary are sleeping while John is staring out of the window into the night.
'Sick' on a plane ___________________________________
MARY: Oh God. I’m s... I-I don’t feel so good. Oh my God. FLIGHT ATTENDANT: Everything okay, madam? MARY: I think I’m dying. I don’t feel so good.
JOHN: Sherlock? You all right? SHERLOCK: Yes, of course I am. Why wouldn’t I be? MARY: ’Cause you probably just OD’d. You should be in Hospital.
Changing identity on a plane/airport __________________

The plane lands and it turns out that Mary has changed her identity again. She is now the flight attendant.
When Sherlock enters the cockpit of the leaderless plane the cabin turns into a dilapidated room and the little girl into Eurus.
Aeroplane or ice lolly ? ______________________________
SHERLOCK: What would you do, Vivian? VIVIAN: Pardon? SHERLOCK: Well, it’s a lovely day. Go for a stroll? Make a paper aeroplane? Have an ice lolly?
So many things one can do on a lovely day. But Sherlock decides to ask about eating and a paper aeroplane. Or more precisely .... the creators decided to use exactly these two things. Food is of importance ... aeroplanes too, it seems.
