#I have a lot of characters but I've never had a proper fursona

On the recent post abt NIN and Hozier, I saw you say you think Hozier would a setter. If you lived in the dog universe, what breed do you think you’d be? Sorry if this question is kinda random, it’s just been lingering in the back of my head of a bit and that post brought it back

Do I just get to go and pick whatever I want? Multiple people have told me I have saluki vibes, and I like salukis, but I don't know if I feel like a saluki. Maybe a greyhound? A mixed breed with vaguely greyhoundish features?

Salt, Equus, Zhihao & Adira are my OCs.

Salt is a cowardly white wolf with dark brown eyes who lived in North America during the late pleistocene. I've never drawn him before!

Equus is one of my new Primeval Age characters! she's a shy, clever & easily distracted dacentrurus. I haven't made a proper drawing of her yet, but here's a messy & slightly outdated doodle I made figuring out what I want her colors & patterns to be exactly, plus the link to her profile on primeval age where you can see her bio & official image! https://www.primevalarpg.com/import/5788

Zhihao is a saurolophus, & I haven't drawn him nor developed him much as a character yet ^^'

Adira is a tyrannosaurus. the last time I drew her was back when it was believed even adult tyrannosaurus had significant feathering, so she really needs a redesign for accuracy! she could use a rewrite too, not that she was ever a very developed character in the first place.

a while back I rewatched most of Seri! Pixel Biologist's Wolfquest 2.7 series that I loved so much as a kid :D I wanted to illustrate a couple things that happened in it, plus I'd love to redraw the fanart of Rain I did when I was a kid!

(the old Rain fanart in question.. I couldn't find the raw file so it's a cropped screenshot of when she featured it in an episode! at the time I went by Pancakes Plays, which is why she credited me as "Pancake")

moving on, I have a crapton of fursona ideas & a few existing fursonas, I think it'd be cool to draw all those fursonas I haven't yet & make a lineup of them all! hahaha it would probably be sooooo long! & it would take ages.. especially since I've been struggling a lot with making a design that sticks for my rat fursona! I think I finally have the shapes down but I'm still iffy on her colors >_< I haven't finished a colored artwork of her yet but here's a messy doodle & a WIP!

I hope my other fursona ideas aren't extremely difficult to figure out too q.q my other fursona ideas are a barn owl, a lynx, a barn owl-lynx gryphon, a blue calico cat, a glacier bear, & I think that's all? oh wait! & an opossum. most of my fursonas are just meant to represent me in my entirety, but I have this idea for an opossum fursona that more so represents my most intense feelings, if they were put on full display on the outside! In real life I'm a fairly mellow, shy & reserved person, my emotions don't tend to be really loud.. but my opossum fursona would be the opposite of that. energetic & colorful & excitable & loud & fierce & just super intense!! cuz sometimes that's how I feel on the inside, & it would be fun to express that with that character ^w^

here are my other fursonas that I have drawn already! I would probably draw everyone as anthropomorphic in the lineup, though I do really like my caribou fursona's feral design ^w^ maybe I should draw a feral version of the lineup too?

All things considered i think i'm done with Cringetober for the time being.

PROMPT REVIEW:

HETEROCHROMIA: I've. I've done heterochromias before. this isn't that much of a challenge.

SELF INSERT: I am still very scared of putting an unadulterated version of myself into any sort of fiction, fan or non. so I intentionally skipped this one.

UNECESSICARILY COMPLEX FIT: Still not entirely sure of the Complexity on this one but i'm still satisfied :3

ANGEL X DEMON: Mark my words that these two will get better art in the future.

MS PAINT: Still mad that windows 11's paint program got so screwed up that i had to move entirely to paint.net

NEKO: Considering I'm a Furry, this is far from a challenge.

PINTEREST ART BASE: I had an idea for this. But then I couldn't find a good base to use. I instead appropriated Day 15 to complete on this day.

TUMBLR SEXYMAN: Still not a Onceling. But Onceler felt like the obvious choice this day.

CROSSOVER SHIP/RAREPAIR: I'm still dipping my toes into the fandom scene, so in my frantic scrambling, I shipped the first think that came to mind.

FURSONA: Again, Not yet confident in having a fursona yet. Unless you count December.

YANDERE: Felt like a bit of a departure from what I felt my usual style is or should be. But I still completed it!

NICHE INTEREST: ??? ??? ???

CREEPYPASTA: I think I was too busy making the thing for Della Delightful to figure out which classic creepypasta to draw.

CANDYGORE: This was said Della Delightful thing. I accidentally took the prompt a little too literally to properly repost on the main acc, but i think there's still a noticable amount of lore that can be gathered here.

SONG LYRICS: I Knew Pocketing those Penelope Scott Lyrics was a good idea!

FAKE ANIME SCREENSHOT: I would waste way too much time on this prompt in the service of making it "perfect".

OLD ART REDRAW: Good luck finding any of my old drawings 'cause none of it was posted online and/or are most likely mostly gone for good. I physically could not complete this prompt to my satisfaction.

DOLLS/PUPPETS/ETC: I Tried to base Chloe's Clothing off of the 2012 Holiday Barbie's Dress. But then I just kinda. didn't.

HANAHAKI DISEASE: I Couldn't figure out the scenario let alone pull it off with how sucky i was feeling at that time.

100% SATURATION: Funny Oversaturated Colours :3

MAID DRESS / SAILOR UNIFORM: I was planning on fusing them both. But unfortunately the mood forced me to get a "once every other day" schedule and this unfortunately fell out of the proper parity.

MEME(S): It was just one meme. But I was happy to draw Soho Again.

MLP: Again, Parity Problems.

GIJINKA: It was Divine Inspiration, the choice to Gijinka Dusty. And then i think it ran out before I could manage to figure out what she'd wear for a top so I just sorta made her wear a bikini top and shorts i'm sorry-

ALL EDGE NO POINT: I am Diametrically opposed to edge. So I was going to skip this either way.

BABYGIRL POSE: Couldn't manage to figure out which character to draw before the day came and went. I Asked a couple friends which babygirl i should draw and neither of them were any help.

ALT FASHION: This and onwards I'm skipping. I am sorry.

HOT VILLAIN: I was honestly waiting for divine inspiration to strike to let me determine who to draw, because I never considered any of the villains I know of to be attractive to me. Yes, even the Onceler. Man's basically CEO Incarnate.

VIDEO GAME: by god this prompt is vague. it'd be tough finding a videogame that's both cringe and not entirely problematic.

HALLOWEEN: Probably gonna do this for Della anyways ngl i can't pass up this chance

WELCOME TO CRINGETOBER!

I wanted to post the prompt list a month in advance so people have time to work on it :)

There are no hard rules; it's just a fun art exercise to draw things that are considered "cringe" by popular culture. Don't stress if you miss a day!!

Oh!! You're getting back into writing thats so cool! I'm currently starting a story for my fursona and I'm... So incredibly passionate about it. I've never written like this before so I'm excited to try something new. I'm setting up a separate blog for it so I have all my stuff posted there and I'm hoping I can garner an audience! Do you have any advice to get it off the ground while it's still being updated?

Yeah, a lot of what I’m doing is just re-writing everything down physically instead of digitally.

One of these stories I’ve had since I was 16-ish? And it was nearly published under the Rising Stars of Manga banner by TokyoPop back in the day.

The other was a concept I posted on Tumblr four years ago that I turned into something WAY bigger.

I have full pitch decks made for them, complete with character concepts, seasons of content written, etc.

It just needs to be redone, touched up, and some changes made. All of which I’ve been ignoring and by doing it all physically instead of digitally, it’s the kick I needed to actually do it.

As for getting something off the ground, like a creative writing blog/story blog/etc, proper tagging is HUGE and equates to almost all discoverability! So tag the HECK out of your posts and make sure they’re the right tags too!
