22) If you’re a fic reader, what’s something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don’t like?

Something I like: When people remember that Chay has gone through shit as well, and they explore that. And I’m not talking just the Kim stuff. Poverty, trauma, loss of family, nursing Porsche back after his fights, etc. When people let Chay have issues or problems, I am screaming into my pillow out of sheer joy. Even if it’s their own problems made up by the fic itself. Just please remember Chay has his own skeletons.

Something I don’t like: Now let me just say, NOTHING I say here is a jab at others, or me saying you can’t like this or you’re wrong. It’s my own personal opinion/preference, and you’re not obligated to agree or anything.

Now that being said, I really don’t like when people either make Chay just an extension of Kim, Macau, etc, or they make him some very innocent baby who doesn’t know anything about the world, thus making him seem extremely stupid and naive. Grinds my gears something fierce. Sure, he’s younger and doesn’t know mafia stuff that well. I will admit that fully. But he’s gone through shit, he’s lived a life that wasn’t always kind, and just because he had Porsche as his parental figure, doesn’t mean he is a pure innocent baby with nothing wrong in his life until Kim. And I also hate making it where Chay isn’t important unless Kim, or another love interest is involved. (Don’t like this in general about any characters, but still.) He’s awesome in his own right. Let me boy thrive as Chay, and not just someone’s brother or love interest. He can be both.

🎸 (electric guitar) - What’s your character’s music taste like? Do they have one or two artists they play on repeat or do they have a varied and eclectic collection of music? Do they like mainstream artists or prefer underground musicians? What genres do they enjoy?

Charlie ostensibly likes anything that makes him move! Lots of classic rock and punk rock on his playlists, but pop classics, old and new, as well. Thin Lizzy, The Clash, Gary Moore. I'll honestly have to look into Hip-Hop some more, especially British or Irish one, because I feel like he also likes that.

He doesn't really care if things are mainstream or indie (though I'm sure he had an obnoxious phase about not being like the other boys).

One artist he really enjoys from the pop side of things is Mika! I hope I can find a way to origanically work lines from Lollipop into the Irish Problems rewrite - because we deserve Charlie being back to his gay little self, singing "Jesus loves her - She wants more! Ok prefacing this with the fact that we're not gonna talk about Bruno Encanto because I will cry. If Wicked Tuna is on the TV they are both powerless to change the channel, and neither of them understands why, but Toki loses his mind over the core samples. Luke’s already so invested in getting Julie back into music because he can see she still loves it, and he, Alex and Reggie are so ready to support her even though they’ve only known each other for a couple days.

The second line doesn’t really require much explanation but like Luke “music is my life” Patterson deciding that Julie’s more important than music is 🥺. And from a non-Juke point, it’s just so freaking sweet and says so much about their connection as a band that all three of them were willing to suffer rather than make music without Julie.

brotp: The obvious answer is the Phantoms but  imma mix it up and go with Alex just because of how much I love the scene in Caleb’s club where Luke teases Alex about Willie.

otp: Juke. Rn, i’m particularly soft about how music is the thing that ties them together (because I too am a huge fucking music geek) But like, everything about their connection is !!!

🌲: What are some small details about your FO that you feel are underappreciated?

Akane is more than just haha lewd maid lol, she’s a good fan character and in her respective fangame, she is definitely my favourite. I’m still midway through the game so I’m sure I still have some stuff to figure out about her!

🍂:  How does your FO show their interest in your work/hobbies, and vice versa?

She will follow me everywhere and will peek her head over my shoulder if it’s something like editing. She’ll usually suggest that I take up something like hunting so she’s free to kill. Now, I’m not the one to take interest in her work or hobbies, why? Because one, she’s a villian. And two, there is no way in hell that I’m going to start drinking blood. I love her but no way. 

🌹: How does your FO react to receiving shows of affection?

Squealing, lots of squealing. And sometimes Toga will bite my hand out of happiness if I start being lovey dovey with her. She loves it, although sometimes I wish she didn’t ask me for it when we run into each other and have to fight, it makes me want to hold her.

I- okay listen here, if you want the house set on fire, neither of us are the best cook. If anything, we just pour some water into a cup, boil it, make some insta ramen. I mean, we do love spicy ramen so we’re not too worried about ordering out.....until we get bored of ramen.

Blake adores having her ears poked at, they always twitch and usually get mad at me but it’s a habit for her to wear a hat now. She tries to keep me from messing with her. As for Lapis, she likes to bounce her legs up and down, probably from anxiety but I can understand that. They both notice that I cling to them if I get uncomfortable or nervous, they don’t mind, they’re both angsty and would protect me.
