Realized this was the first time I've gotten to the end of FNV with the Yes Man companion mod and only just noticed this in my notes while seeing what post game stuff FPGE offered! Never seen this note before so it was uh. very fun getting to the end of that second paragraph reading this out loud to the friends I was streaming to at the time teehee. I am not beating the 'in love with yes man' allegations it would seem

Spirit Committee Mod’s Christmas Gift to you
So back earlier this year when I first started this blog, one of the first ever requests I received was a question asking me “What were my 20 favorite Housamo characters?” At first I really didn’t have an answer since I was trying to reintroduce myself to the cast, but now that I’ve ingrained myself into the community a decent bit I can give you guys what I look for in a Housamo character as my thanks to all of you for just enjoying my content really. I look for what appeals to me visually (I’m the kinda writer that likes em big and beefy) but also well written. While not every character may or may not be the best written character since there’s so much reading I have to go back and do, but I am comfortable 20 characters I find to be downright great.
My Top 10~20 Housamo Characters
Honorable Mentions: Characters who do definitely qualify in the Top 20, but are just simply hard to place exactly in a definitive slot (lists like these are pretty hard to write for in hindsight…)
~Aegir: This is a character that’s very hard to place for a few different reasons. On one hand he’s easily one of the more aesthetically pleasing characters to me and I don’t just mean his body. There’s just always something about outfits in Housamo that just look amazing and I think Aegir’s is one of the better ones because they both show off his best assets and are pretty snazzy. His color scheme in most of his outfits tend to say hes an ocean man and I like you can just tell by looking at him given the whites and blues along with the gold he adorns himself with. Sort of what you’d expect from a treasure hunter such as himself. And yes he is a total heart throb alongside that I do have a bit of Gacha bias here and for the next one since I have all variants of them and some really good artwork. On the other hand, what do I know about him? Well, he’s a pretty boisterous fellow who loves to show off and is a big man. What else? Um…. Unfortunately Aegir’s events aren’t fully translated and his voice lines and bio do leave a bit to be desired for me at least. When it comes to writing him I have no issues, but when it comes to trying to visualize him as a character among the vast cast it just becomes hard to give him a good place beyond “He has a nice chest and bulge” most of the time. It’s not anything personal and my opinion of him may change after this Christmas event is over and translated by the Housamo Blogspot and GomTang is one of my favorite artists working with LifeWonders so he may get bumped up or off. As an additional upside I do like how his gameplay in both of his variants reflect his character, it’s a nice touch game designers often do.
~Takemaru: Yes, both 2019 Christmas boys. And yes, it’s because of their tiddies. I’m mostly kidding… But in all seriousness Takemaru is one of the better offensive supports in the game who’s one of the easier units to pull in the gacha, especially right now considering he has an alt on the banner so in theory he should be showing up more frequently as a 3star. But that’s just a theory. The thing with Takemaru I like beyond his design is the fact with how genuine sweet he is as a character. He’s rough in how he speaks but his personality is very sincere (for the most part from what I can gather) However he falls into the same trap as Aegir since I haven’t read the events he’s a part of just yet. Plus he is a crafter boy and you never say no to a Crafter.
~Kengo: One of two Summoners on this list. I have a bit more preference for Kengo over the other summoner that did make the list, but to be as fair as I can in my judgment I have to leave Kengo in the 11-20 pile. Visually he has all the check boxes that just draw me to a character initially and his personality is simple, but I like that he’s simple. Characters don’t always need to be complex and multi faceted to be engaging, plus I just kinda want someone who would encourage me to be more active and I feel a few characters alongside Kengo would do that, he’s a Chad and a bro. So why is he not in the inner circle for this list? It’s cuz the story treats him the worst. What do I mean? deep breath If you’ve read Chapter 3 of the main story then you should know the absolute mess it is. It tries to shove in as many characters as possible during this part of the story which, okay understandable since this is a gacha game but they forgot to give Kengo, you know one of the cover boys, a proper role in the story and it really feels LifeWonders thought that they could bank on Kengo’s Himbo status and just showing us the others. But I need sustenance. I need to read! He did because he has moments that could have been much more if they just shifted the focus back on Kengo for more than a few moments at a time and he sort of highlights a lot of my issues with the way the stories are told in this game but those are for another time.
~Arc: In my perspective, the antithesis to Kengo. Not to say I find Arc visually unappealing, but they aren’t for me the way other characters are though. As a character though Arc’s story is honestly one of the best stories has to offer and they actually have (pardon my pun) an arc. I won’t spoil too much of their story because it’s all pretty late into the game but you really do sympathize with Arc and begin to understand the larger narrative the game has. Plus a nice detail is that Arc’s voice lines change depending on the point of the story you’re in I guess? Or maybe it was a release thing I’m not too sure how you trigger one over the other but they get 2 sets of lines. And they actually integrate Arc into the story and revolving cast pretty well instead of casting them to the wayside for 80% of their story. I can’t go much deeper than that unfortunately. All I can say is read Chapter 7 and 8 but do know that they are some of the more darker and serious chapters in the game so far.
~Durga: The only Yoyogi girl who strives to be number one. Unfortunately she joined the wrong list and wound up in the runner up tier. But for starters Durga has one of my favorite voice actresses who plays a number of my favorite characters in anime and games so I’m glad LifeWonders are capable of getting such talented voice work. As a character I know what this character is mostly about and the event I haven’t really read yet is her initial one so when that gets an official TL I’ll read it to grow more understanding. But from what I have now I can safely put her as one of my favorites because her drive to be number one is inspiring to try your best and everyone should follow her example to some degree. I say that because she really does feel naturally flawed given her alleged age. I won’t spoil much of Dreamland but I will say how Durga’s struggle is further amplified is totally understandable given her position in the group of athletes and her desire to always win and why she always pushes herself to be her best at any cost and it’s definitely something I can see someone doing (without as catastrophic a breakdown when it backfires and just learning what works best for her). As for why she’s not in the other category given my praise of her character is because I don’t have the full story much like with a few prior entries on the list. But when that event does get a TL at some point I do want to read it and finally have the full picture for her so I can rank her properly.
~Kyuma: I shall dub him my Kouhai because he is a first year. A lot of people don’t like Kowmei’s art, myself included, but overall his characters don’t really put me off that much since there’s only one in particular. Kyuma’s good though. He is a good, hardworking kouhai I’d enjoy being around given he seems the most levelheaded of his friends despite his age.  Or maybe its because of his age? There’s no grand singular reason he’s on this part of the list. He just needs to be in more events and get an actual alt. That’s all.
~Zao: I wish he was introduced in a better event because he is one of the better characters released in year one. But good lord does his event drag you through the dirt with terrible battles and awful pacing. It’s unfortunate his whole story is dragged down because the game was still in an early spot when this event originally came out. Outdated gameplay aside I think Zao does best in setting the precedent for shop units when it comes to writing and design. I like his arc going from a stubborn mountain man to a more open and accepting person. However he has a similar issue with Kengo where he has to share his spotlight with characters of varying degrees but unlike Kengo the other characters who appear in this event are meant to compliment Zao rather than detract from him.
~Amatsumara: He’s the dad of the Crafters and is who makes the Crafters really feel like a family. Every member feels like they have a role in the Guild and you can really see how much Amatsumara values them. He just seems like the doting father type who gives you noogies and I can respect that. Seeing him interact with characters in Chapter 9 was also one of the more enjoyable aspects of that chapter. I won’t spoil it but it was pretty good.
For the final 2 they’re just characters who’s designs I like a lot and just need to do more research since this game has a lot of characters to try and find information on
~Dagon
~Tomte
And yes, its cuz they’re cute and new. I am shallow… ;u;
Now for the Top 10 favorites, but even then placement can change depending on what LifeWonders plans to do with them down the line.
10. Gunzo: Kicking off this list is the rugby player himself. To start he’s a very dorky athlete. He isn’t the greatest at handling social situations and kind of a goofball when it comes down to it. But those are not bad things, in fact they’re what landed him on the list. His quirkiness is just plain adorable and I do enjoy the antics he and his classmates get into. Not only that but he’s a pretty laid back guy once you get to know him a bit better. It’s his lack of awareness that is his best strength, but worst weakness at times.
9. Kurogane: deep breath ANIKI~!!! Jokes aside Kurogane is the character that when I first saw, I was very disappointed he wasn’t playable. (Then GoGo happened and made me one happy person) and he’s voiced by the same guy who did Broly back in the day so that’s pretty awesome. Kurogane actually likes it a lot when you call him “Big Bro” and I would totally call him that once I found out he did because he’s so wholesome and goodwilled. Plus he does deserve some recognition as someone older since he is the youngest in his Guild. Not only that I can sort of relate to Kurogane’s desire at being an engineer since when I was still attending classes in college that was what I was studying as my major. I can’t quite match the same level of enthusiasm as Kurogane, I do see where his character does come from when tackling certain things, which is how he easily became one of my favorites.
8. Claude: You want a sugar daddy? Claude is probably your guy. So the leader of the Berserkers Guild is a great guy, most of the time. He has his moments where he can get carried away with his own desires rather than doing the correct thing, but honestly there’s something satisfying about a man just taking what he wants. That and well, getting a bit of a wake up call that you can’t just do all of that because you’re bored. His character quest is what really sold me on Claude as a character and something about it felt very real. A lot of it was very vague terminology and confirms Claude’s status as a bottom. Claude is also very intelligent and he’s always trying to make the best move that will benefit the most amount of people, whether or not its for his own interests usually. Also this wouldn’t be your mod if I didn’t mention how good he looks, especially his outfits. Bombom just really knows how to design clothes.
7. Moritaka: Arguably the face of the franchise right after Salomon. Moritaka, to my knowledge, is one of the most popular Housamo characters and to be frank I can see why he would hold that title. He’s just a lovable character with cute art. I really think I show my love for him in my Headcanons so I’ll keep it brief by saying he’s a really enjoyable character.
6. Maria: Our local Lesbian sister will help you find true love, I promise. Maria is another really popular and well-liked character and again I can totally see why. She’s cute as a button and really compassionate towards everyone she meets. And from what I’ve seen from her, Maria is very honest with herself going forward from a certain point which is so satisfying to see. I won’t spoil her entire arc even though her chapters have been out for a while just so you can experience it for yourself. She’s too precious for me to spoil. But her character growth aside, she’s a very compassionate and kind character even to those who aren’t the most kind in return and she even goes out of her way to try and relate to those characters despite the fact they might not make sense.
5. Hephaestus: Here we have my son, please buy him Legos instead of Mega Bloks or he’ll cry. I was a little hesitant with Hephaestus at first to be blunt. He seemed to be quite crude in certain places and really uncaring and a little cliché with his attitude. Plus he’s quite nasty to Talos, often times getting mad at Talos for simply doing what he was made to do. But Chapter 9 really put it into perspective. For spoilers I can’t say what made me turn around from wanting to look away from wanting to just hold him and protect him. All I can say is that he has been put through the wringer and just deserves to be happy.
4. Ashigara: Best bear, Volos stans don’t come for me. I explained it before but Ashigara is a character that tends to radiate “me” energy and I can totally see us being friends in real life. He’s the kind of guy who’d send you memes when your sad but he’d eat all your food, which is why you were sad in the first place. All about give and take.
3. Oniwaka: A bully BF uwu god have mercy but yes. Oniwaka was actually my first ever Housamo summon when I first began to play and on my most recent account (I’ve been on and off with the series until I started this blog and became more of a permanent player) he was my first 5star unit so it weirdly came full circle with him. His alternate skins are an absolute delight to behold and he is no slouch in the writing department after the slog that was Chapter 3. If anything he just got better with each appearance. He was rough around the edges, but seeing his softer sides just warms your heart.
2. Wakan Tanka: Touching down at silver place is my “Housamo Husbando”. Weird I know but let me explain. Wakan Tanka is a character I very much love and cherish, he is a really cute boy who just wants to do good by everyone he meets. He hates treating people especially different which is societal goals. However, he has a tendency to come off as a bit too perfect. While I really like him, he’s also feels more like an ideal than someone who can actually develop and grow. Wakan has basically achieved ascention. As for the top place on this list though…
1. Taurus Mask/Daisuke Ikusaba: Much like how Oniwaka was my first pull, Daisuke was my first Housamo crush. First and foremost his design is what I consider to be very tasteful. It’s both an incredibly attractive outfit, it’s also very appropriate and it isn’t too distracting. Second I love how LifeWonders leans into a character completely and just goes all out with a number of references to their lore or culture. Since Daisuke is a luchador inspired character its really cool to see his Summon Day be May 5th. Thirdly and finally, his writing as a character completely wins me over. He is a shy senior by day, but wrestling prodigy by night. Not only is that badass, but you have the perfect set up and the writer in me squeaks like a little fan girl that I am. Wrestling was never really my thing growing up so while I don’t have any fondness for it in particular, if I had seen Taurus Mask in action you would see me in the crowd shouting for him. Daisuke is just that amazing and why he’s my Number 1 favorite Housamo character.

October Prompt: Blood Title: Something Rating: M (for minimal sexual content) Day’s Notes: one of the monthly prompts from the ss server (don’t ask me for an invite I can’t invite you, you have to DM the mod @saradacchi ); if I’m feeling better I may continue this in a second part in fact I already started it; this idea came to me while I couldn’t focus on my wips so I typed it away; yes it’s a vampire au, the prompt called for it
Tumblr media
The rules were simple. No drugs, no alcohol, no extreme diets. A donor couldn’t be underweight and they had to submit themselves to bi-weekly physicals. Sexually active donors were to be screened for sexually transmitted diseases frequently.
Sakura just wanted to pay for school.
She knew there were negative connotations to being a donor. Selling blood to feed the vampiric citizens of the world was looked down upon by her fellow humans, despite the fact that blood donations were part of the peace treaty between the two species and were supposed to be anonymous.
Sometimes were anonymous.
Being a donor was supposed to be impersonal. A human went to a blood bank, got their blood drawn and they would receive a check from the government every month.
The process was advertised the same way fertility clinics advertised egg donations. The vampires only wanted young and fit donors to keep the blood of a pure quality that was safe for consumption.
Humans provided healthy blood and vampires protected them from those that would slaughter them for their meals, unnecessarily killing a human when there was no need to drink them dry to feed.
In order to supply the vampires with the blood they needed for nourishment, the human government paid citizens as an incentive to keep them donating.
And Sakura really needed the money. Med school wasn’t going to pay for itself.
It was tough to juggle school work and a job. And although donating paid well it wasn’t lucrative enough on its own.
At least not when she was a cold donor.
For a price, vampires could get their blood fresh, straight from the source. It was the preferred way to feed but not all vampires could afford it. Before the treaty they took it as they wanted it, but without knowing the source well they left themselves vulnerable to disease.
Vampires were stronger and they lived longer, but they weren’t invincible.
. .
Eight o’clock on the dot there was a knock at her door. He was always punctual.
Turning down the corner of the page she was on, Sakura set her book down and gave herself one more once over in the hallway mirror.
Her guest could have entered anytime he wanted. Not only was he too strong for the lock to keep him out but Sakura had given him a key to her apartment already.
“Is it because I have to invite you in?”
“It’s because my mother raised me better than that and she would skin me alive if she knew I was coming and going as I pleased from a woman’s home.”
Sakura was learning that a lot of the myths she grew up with about vampires were false, stories made up by humans to give them a false sense of security.
“You’ve been staying up late again,” was the greeting she received. Sasuke pushed past her with two bags of groceries in hand.
First myth debunked: vampires needed an invitation to enter a home.
“What gave that away?” Sakura retorted sarcastically. She knew she had bags under her eyes from late night cramming. “I just finished exam week.”
“Which means you haven’t been eating properly of course,” Sasuke muttered, pulling out packaged meat and vegetables. A head of garlic rolled on the counter and Sasuke stopped it before it could roll onto the floor.
Second myth debunked: vampires were weak against garlic.
Instead of taking out garlic from Sakura’s diet, Sasuke had added more of it. Garlic apparently had properties that helped her maintain healthy blood circulation and reduced levels of LDL cholesterol.
The pungent odor was irritating but of course it would be considering vampires had a heightened sense of smell. But that’s all it was, just a small annoyance.
“What are we making tonight?”
“Stir-fry.”
Her favorite nights of the week were when Sasuke came over. They would cook meals and chat━her more than him━and it would feel a little like what having a boyfriend was like.
It felt even more so like that when they made their way to her lumpy couch and Sasuke trailed his fingers under her shirt and up her back.
“Sakura…” Sasuke breathed against her sternum. His fingers trailed back down her back, smoothing over her waist before settling on her hips.
She chanted his name as she rode him, his hands on her hips guiding her movements hidden under her skirt. Sakura pressed her body closer━wanting more, aching for more.
Sakura was just reaching her peak when a sharp pain stung at her neck.
Right. That’s what he’s here for…
Sasuke lapped lazily at her neck in tandem with his final thrusts as he came down from his own release.
“Enjoy yourself?” Sakura muttered as she watched Sasuke lick his lips, savoring every drop of blood.
Sasuke kissed her instead of humoring her with a response. His tongue rolled against hers and there was a coppery after taste.
“You should brush your teeth after eating.”
Sasuke only laughed through his nose and kissed her again.
. .
“Fangbanger.”
Sakura dropped her hands from her task of tying her hair up and glared at the other occupants of the gym locker room. The other women whispered to each other in the corner of the locker room, an occasional snicker coming from one of them.
Ignoring them, Sakura stuffed her bag into her locker and tied her hair up as she walked past them, not caring if her bite mark showed.
Not all warm donors had the kind of relationship she had with Sasuke. Most vampires met their donors at the blood bank and had their meal. Most donors weren’t as exclusive but she and Sasuke were one of the exceptions.
. .
“So you’re like...a cop?” Sakura eyed the uniform Uchiha Sasuke wore to their interview.
“That would be the equivalence, yes.”
Sasuke shifted in his seat. Sakura narrowed her eyes at the action not sure what to make of it.
Why would a vampire be nervous of a human?
“How old are you?”
“Not a very original question,” Sasuke scoffed. He sighed and rolled his eyes. “Twenty-three. We’re not all ancient. The oldest vampire I know is my great-great uncle Madara.”
“Oh. We’re almost the same age…” Sakura expected him to be much older than her, not only by a year.
“So you’re a student?”
“Yes. I’m studying to be a doctor.”
Sakura tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She expected a question about the color but it must have been obvious that it was natural. Donors weren’t allowed to bleach their hair.
“It’s weird trying to get to know each other like this, huh Uchiha-san?” Sakura wrung her hands in her lap. “The technicians are sitting fifteen feet away from us and it’s just kind of unnatural. I guess it’s like if I went and talked to the pig that would eventually be part of my katsudon.”
Sasuke frowned, the corners of his mouth pulling down and a wrinkle forming between his perfect eyebrows.
“My mother said to treat this as an omiai.”
One of the technicians cleared their throat and Sasuke threw a glare in their direction.
“Oh.”
“Ignore the fact that I’m a vampire.”
A very hard task when there wasn’t a human alive she knew that looked anywhere near as beautiful as the man in front of her. He was more beautiful than most vampires she had seen in passing as well.
“We are learning about each over tea, seeing if our ideals match up, and figuring out if we want to enter a commitment with one another.”
Yeah, sure. Sakura wanted to roll her eyes but held back. And we ignore the fact that you’re paying to snack on me.
But he was her age and beautiful and when he did speak he was smart and funny, although what he usually found humorous was to tease her.
“Because of my work hours it would be more suitable for me to make house calls instead of coming in at the allotted appointment times the facility schedules. Would that be an issue?”
“That would actually work better than having to swing by the blood bank.”
Sakura was relieved. The blood bank was out of the way and even though they reimbursed her for the travel expenses she was usually cutting it close when it came to her class schedule or would have to take an entire day to be two cities over.
“Then it seems our preferences match.”
Sasuke smiled at her, just wide enough for her to catch an elongated canine.
“What’s your blood type?”
. .
After that meeting they set up a schedule for when Sasuke would meet with her for his feedings.
Sasuke would typically come early evening before his shifts but sometimes he would text her or call her to let her know he wouldn’t be coming around until late.
But on the evenings he came early he would bring groceries or hot meals.
“If vampires don’t need to eat why do you know how to cook?”
“Food is enjoyable but it doesn’t fill us or keep us healthy the way it does for humans. It’s sort of like what candy or coffee are to humans. You don’t need it but it’s something you enjoy.”
A knock on the door at nine o’clock had Sakura shuffling to her front door. It wasn’t until she opened the door did she realize that she hadn’t eaten dinner yet.
“Of course.” Sasuke looked down at her impassively.
“I have been studying for the MCAT.”
Sakura squeaked when Sasuke pressed his nose to her throat. His breath was hot but it caused a shiver to run down her spine.
“You’re becoming iron deficient,” Sasuke scolded her as he pulled away. “How many meals have you been skipping?”
“I get busy and I forget,” she mumbled, following Sasuke into the kitchen.
She cringed when he opened her fridge and turned to glare at her. He gestured to the nearly empty fridge and silently demanded and explanation.
“I’ve been really busy.”
“You’re going to collapse one of these days.”
Sasuke packed her fridge up with groceries and pulled out what he needed to prepare a pasta dish. Sakura never brought it up but Sasuke seemed to have a preference for western dishes made with tomatoes.
“How’s work?” Sakura asked. She sat on the counter swinging her feet as she watched Sasuke bustle around her kitchen. “Same old, same old?”
Sasuke nodded as he offered her a plate of food.
“I hate paperwork.”
“It can’t always be chasing down out of line vampires,” she giggled before stuffing her mouth with spaghetti.
Their evenings were quiet but Sakura enjoyed the company. Especially when he kissed her gently, just the two of them in her kitchen.
“Sasuke-kun?” Sakura questioned as Sasuke pulled away from her.
“My break is almost over. I have to head back.”
It wasn’t the first time he left without feeding. And just like the other times Sakura was confused about where they stood.
. .
He didn’t sleep over often but there were times he came over really late and crawled into bed next to her. Sakura would wake up, curled against another body, and smile fondly at the sleeping face of the vampire next to her.
Her bed was too small for two but it didn’t stop Sasuke from slipping under her covers and entangling his limbs with hers.
We’re strange aren’t we?
Sakura couldn’t put an exact name to it, but their relationship while odd was something.
Not just vampire and donor. Not just friends.
But something. Right?
. .
Sakura stared at the bottle the technician slid across the counter to her.
She was waiting for the results of her monthly pregnancy test, something donors with the capability had to submit to if they were sexually active. Although she was on birth control they had to make sure.
Humans couldn’t be donors if they were pregnant.
“Why do I need to take supplements?”
“Because although you are in perfect health, the vampire assigned to you has still been collecting cold donations.”
The technician flipped through the file in her hand and nodded to herself.
“Uchiha-san seems to not be getting all of the nourishment he needs from his warm donor—you, Haruno-san—which is unsettling. If the supplements do not help then there may need to be a change in assignment.”
A different technician approached them and handed a slip to the technician handling her physical.
“Results are negative. You are clear to continue your donor duties. We’ll see you at your next appointment.”
Sakura nodded and collected her appointment reminder and her supplements.
. .
Her thighs were his favorite place to bite. Usually.
Sakura’s brows drew down in confusion as she tried to catch her breath. Instead of the usual nips that followed, Sasuke dragged his lips up her torso, pressing kisses on her stomach.
“Sakura,” he panted, voice breathy against her ear as he thrust inside of her.
Vampire. Donor. What did it matter when it was just them, connected, and he touched her the way he did? Said her name the way he did?
We’re something, right?
Sasuke kissed her as he came, moaning into her mouth. Sakura cupped his face in her hands and held him to her, wanting to be closer, not wanting to let go.
. .
It wasn’t until rays of sunlight broke through the crack of her shutters and she woke to the steady breaths at the nape of her neck that she realized that he hadn’t bitten her at all the night before.
Maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t just about that.

Interview Task:
Thursday 29 April 2021
30 mins
What’s your earliest memory of drawing or being creative?
Do you draw for yourself?
What is your favorite art medium?
Acrylic, I live water cooler, ok, I’ve done most of that and I really actually enjoy that, I often mix you know like acrylic guoache, watercolor, they have things that work well
I love collage I don’t really do it do you feel something is stopping?
Collage is useful when you have magazines and materials,
Im not a spontaneous artist at all, im a terrible perfectionist
First step is a sketch, refining sketching before brio
Last year a lot of biro,
Fineliners are a it too thick with biro same textures as pencil, you can use with anything
I go over things many many times I f its digital, first sketch you know second, line work,
Unless its life drawing, im less strict I hate most of what I do
Why do you hate it?
Haha therapy session
Hate is strong word, disonent not hate, I say ok I like the element of work, sometimes is boring or not as striking
I guess people see in t things I don’t see
Benefit of the fresh eye
Do you struggle to have a fresh eye in work?
Often nearly all the time, I finish after working a lot on it, ugh whatever it exists in the world
And people say omg I love it, which is surpising and enjoyable
Its quite short lived, that grace period of liken work, lasts 5 minutes
Value your work on the comments?
Not always, if tis something I think is really awful no comment can change that
I don’t judge my work on terms comments most of the time
A warmer gaze
So yes and no haha
Fave piece you did?
When you asked me to bring I was like hmm I don’t have much on me, I’ve only been here a year so that’s all I have, my drive from years previously
So either its work have 2 years ago or work ive done this year I haven’t got omg this is amazing but ive got reasonably content about
My older works
I enjoy seeing work
What was story of work?
Extremely broad with briefs, I was terrible with following
30 minute spiel, I can’t even remenerbrief, I have wonderful fine arty ways of explaining it
Next work:
Camouflage? Transformation?
Went a completely different route SERIAL KILLERS!
The man is ind of sissapearing behind the crimes, loses human side,
Hes dead now, he used to skin people. House full of skin furniture
I used these kind of pits of material,
Do you use mixed media?
I always love mixed media
The work is childish to me, slightly naive
I haven’t evolved much since, fond memories of that, I enjoy shocking people
What I love about ill is incite emotions from people and convey a certain atmosphere and mod I ,love dark and gloomy pieces Bec very expressive, im quite happy person and bubbly or whatever
I do love creepy paintings and stuff, especially if im making them and watching them shocked and really disturbed
Very entertaining
Where did the come from to shock?
Who knows? Im nt very good at psycho.. I dint know, a bit out of the refinery and I enjoy bits out of the ordinary, I don’t know to be honest..
Least fave?
Ive got lots to choose haha…
From the poetry competition I even did sev ver of this shit hing

Gentlemen, start your engines...
Welcome to Driven to Shift!
Tumblr media
What is Driven to Shift exactly?
Driven to Shift is meant to be a photojournalistic exercise performed by the creator of (I’ll be referring to it as DTS for short eventually) DTS, Adam, the one writing this. Now that’s out of the way, I can finally speak in first-person haha. This blog is about me, and not about me at the same time. Obviously, it will be written from my perspective and experiences of the (usually SoCal) car scene, but it’ll be all about the cars. Maybe one day I’ll do a background story on who I am if people actually want it.
I’ve always been a fan of websites and photojournalism photography blogs surrounding car culture, and most people who know me know I rant and rave about hopefully becoming a Speedhunters photographer in the future. Like I said in the last paragraph, this is more of an exercise more than anything. I’ve always wanted to have a full-fledged and properly written out blog to call my own and I’m finally going to sit down and do it. I’m going to be using tumblr as my platform as it is the platform I’m the most familiar with, and I already know the limitations of what I can and can’t do on tumblr in terms of blogs and photography compared to my completely unknown knowledge of other platforms such as wordpress, etc.
While this is a test of my (potential) journalism skills, this is also meant to be a time capsule of some sort, as this blog or whatever you want to call it, will show the progression of my builds, events I’ve attended, as well as hopefully many other moments filled with heartbreak and/or joy.
This website is also meant to supplement my future YouTube endeavors and Instagram will have a shortform version of what I post here, and clips of what appears on YouTube.
Tumblr media
Okay, enough about that poor background attempt. Since this is a car blog, what do you drive???
What do I drive? Something more than you can afford, pal.
Haha, I’m just kidding. If you couldn’t tell, my main vehicle of attack is my 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in gorgeous Millennium Yellow. Fun fact, the introductory photo isn’t even actually my car but a photo I shot of another Millennium Yellow C5 Z06 at a track day I hung out that I was actually going to race in, until my Corvette broke down months before said track day sadly.
Before you ask, I’ll get to my “mods” in a later story, but for the most part, my Corvette is 97% stock as I write this post. I want to enjoy this car thoroughly before I go absolutely bonkers even though I will stay somewhat conservative in modifying my car. The mods I have planned out will be tasteful and will turn this into a completely enjoyable machine.
Tumblr media
Now, what else is in my stable of machinery? Well, I guess the next vehicle in my lineup would be my 1995 Acura Integra LS. Don’t get too excited though, it is sadly autotragic (yes, I know......I know). With my Corvette broken down and it being my only car (technically) I had a few weeks to find a car to use to get around. Luckily though, my (now) sister-in-law had this Integra and her family was just going to send it to the junkyard as she’s now in full-time wife mode as my brother serves in the U.S. Navy and therefore she can use his car. So, several hundred dollars later, I own a Honda with 105,000 miles (about 107k at the time of writing this), a salvage title, no manual transmission, no A/C, at least one previous ricer owner, and various creaks and rattles of the suspension that would put most horror movie houses to shame. After owning this car for a few months I can see why it was as cheap as it was and why my sister-in-law was so willing to practically throw it away. That’s okay though, other than it being a complete deathtrap with no fun factor thanks to the transmission, I’m having fun owning and working on this car. As much as I used to fit the stereotype of USDM car guy hating on imports, I’ve always liked the EG/EK Civics, Integras, RSXs, S2ks, NSXs, and of course any type R variant. I’m still thinking about how long I want to keep this car. 2018 will be an interesting year in my garage and driveway for sure. It’ll be a lot like the trade deadline season for professional sports, cutting things loose and adding others to the stable. Whether the “teggy”, as my friends and I affectionately call it, stays or not, is to be seen. If it wants to stay in my stable, it needs to get a manual swap at some point down the road. Who knows, we’ll see.
Tumblr media
Speaking of imports, my other car is a 2008 BMW 528i. There’s not much to this car other than the fact that it is a perfect cruiser and I love taking it on roadtrips. Especially now that I have that Integra that scares me if I try to drive it farther than the five minute drive to work and back every day. Sadly not a M-sport, not a manual, and obviously not a E60 M5. That’s okay though, this car has been absolutely lovely to me and my family. And since I WILL legitimately die trying to take my Integra to canyon roads such as the famous GMR and my favorite, Angeles Crest Highway, the BMW gets to pick up the slack for canyon duties whenever my “banana” is broken. Surprisingly, I’ve taken it on more canyon roads than the Corvette. Its always funny seeing the faces of people I pass going the opposite way in the canyons staring at this seemingly asshole guy in a bland, leasemobile BMW and keeping pace with all my car friends with actual, working sports cars.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alright folks, I’m going to cut it short here. There’s so much to write about and I have to remember to pace myself as if I’m in the 24 hours of Le Mans or the Rolex 24 hrs of Daytona. Slow, steady and consistent will hopefully show me the results that I want.
I hope you all enjoy this show which I call my life revolving around cars. If you’re on tumblr reading this, please go ahead and hit that “FOLLOW” button in the top right corner. Stay tuned for future posts and copious amounts of car porn.
If you’re reading this without a tumblr account, consider making one perhaps? There’s a lot of great content on this website including cars. But if you don’t want to follow that’s fine too.
Feel free to follow my Instagram: @driventoshift. Whether there will be content on the other outlets to see is in question, but everything will get caught up shortly.
Thanks for reading, now go out and drive to shift!

I just found this blog and I love it!! It makes me happy seeing such great Fallout content, especially New Vegas! I'm sorry if this has been asked already but I'm curious, who are your favorite companions from each game? Favorite DLCs? Favorite quests and/or mods? Favorite non-NPC characters? This is a lot & I apologize but your blog has just reminded me how much I love these games (''':
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa thank you so much that means a lot
my fav companions from 3 are charon & butch! from NV i really do love all the companions, they’re all so great in their own way. but boone, arcade, raul & ed-e are my favs. in 4 my fav is definitely deacon…….. honestly a life changing character to me imo lol i love him… A LOT. he feels like home to me lol :’)
i haven’t played any of 3’s dlcs. i beat the game but haven’t played it as much as i want to. i only just joined started enjoying the fallout games since dec of 2015 so i haven’t had much time to thoroughly go through the game with school and traveling across seas. but i plan to play ALL the games since i really fell hard for the series. for NV though, all the dlcs are great. they’re all just soo good. if i had to pick though it would be dead money & lonesome road. in f4 though there’s only 2 and a half actual “story” dlc so i can really only pick between far harbor, nuka world, and automatron. far harbor really depresses me and automatron was too short. so i guess i’d have to go with nuka world even though i hated the whole raider part. otherwise im a sucker for amusement parks so there was at least some enjoyment for me in that dlc.
my favorite quest in 3 was “the replicated man”. i played 4 first so doing a quest for the railroad then after meant a lot to me. i also enjoyed “you gotta shoot ‘em in the head” & “tenpenny tower”. in NV i really liked the companion quests, a lot of NCR quests with “i don’t hurt anymore” being my absolute fav, followers, freeside quests, there’s too many to name! :XX
unfortunately i haven’t used mods at least with 3 and NV since i cant afford a good computer. i have been having some fun with console mods though. i love having the commonwealth turned into a winter wonderland. the essential settlement mods like place anywhere and unlocking more items. the eyebot companions mod legit made me cry because i missed ed-e so much. and the rest are just some weapon and armor mods. oh! and plague doctors of the commonwealth. i looove plague doctors and oddly i think this mod really fits. since there are like no factions in 4 i really would love more mods that add more interesting groups/types of people.
fave npcs in 3: gob, moira, p much everyone in the underworld, aaaa i cant think of anymore atm. in NV, o gosh i have so many. dr dala, ulysses, joshua, lanius, vulpes, julia farkas, yes man, benny, manny, dr alex richards, 10 of spades, corporal betsy, lt boyd, colonel hsu, christine royce, beatrix russel, siri, & victor. my fav npcs in 4 are mel, dr amari, pickman, everyone at the slog, cpt zao, kasumi, dixie, & evan.
please dont apologize!!! i loved answering these questions. if you wanna, feel free to tell me some of your favorite quests, dlcs, npcs, companions and such or other, i’d love to hear about em if you wanna talk fallout :’D
