Blorbo thoughts of the day:

Several months after defeating the Netherbrain, Astarion and Nivan are out adventuring, searching for a way to let Astarion walk in the sun again, and one of Nivan’s nicer shirts that he actually cares about gets ripped and he’s visibly a little miffed about it, but not enough to make a scene or anything, and Astarion is just quietly 👀 about it, but waits until Nivan is very VERY asleep to get the garment and start repairing it. And then we have:

Astarion: * smiling stupidly to himself feeling sneaky and enjoying feeling useful and doing something nice for someone he cares about *

Astarion: * realizes about half way through the job what he’s doing * … … …

Astarion: * storms into their bedroom and throws the shirt at Nivan’s head * You tricked me!!

Nivan: * momentarily panicking before realizing the thing he’s been attacked with is a shirt, still mostly asleep * I… Okay. Which crime am I answering for this time?

Astarion: You’ve gone and bloody well domesticated me! ME! I was willingly doing chores! Without being asked! Ugh, I think I’m going to be ill.

Nivan: * looks down at the partially repaired clothing in his hands * 🤨 You… don’t have to sew my things for me? I can just do it myself.

Astarion: * snatches the shirt back* Don’t be ridiculous, you’re terrible at sewing. I refuse to be seen with you if you’re going to walk around looking like you can’t even afford a decent tailor.

Nivan: *sleepy but grinning like a cat that got the cream* Aw, you spoil me too much, Twinkle. Next you’ll be waking me up with breakfast in bed.

Astarion: Only if you want me to throw that at your head, too.

Nivan: I’m going to wear that shirt every day, and tell everyone we meet that my wonderful, loving partner mended it for me. 😘

Astarion: * stomping back out the door * I’ll repair your dammed shirt, if only to have something decent to bury you in after I kill you.

Nivan: *calling after him* Thank you, love!

Astarion: * indistinct grumbling*

actually I’m thinking about lottie matthews again & it’s not happy in case you were wondering. I’m thinking about how season 2 starts with lottie feeding her blood to nat & travis to keep them alive so that they can provide for the group & the way it’s juxtaposed with lottie right after the crash & she’s being drugged & institutionalized against her will - forced to take drugs she didn’t ask for. lottie is so desperate to give & give & give even if it destroys her & she doesn’t actually want to take. she’s given the drugs by her parents & the psyches even if she doesn’t want them & she’s fed javi’s corpse & made responsible for his death even though she did not order it or want it & instead begged them to eat her - she wants to give her own body to her friends to eat that’s how little she cares about herself or her bodily autonomy!

I’m thinking about lottie matthews putting her hands behind her back & giving herself to shauna so that shauna can take out all her rage & grief on her. & it’s easy to route against modern lottie & her unnecessary order of the hunt but it’s not easy to hate her for it because she genuinely believes someone has to die & I think she actually wants it to be her - she certainly doesn’t take any steps to stop it from being her. lottie has been treated like she’s crazy & locked away all her life & it happens again in the season 2 finale.

I’m thinking about lottie matthews & how she’s technically the first “leader” in the wilderness but it’s a title foisted upon her. I’m thinking about lottie matthews & how all she ever wanted was to give herself to others even if it killed her & she never had a moment of autonomy in her life.

Well, it’s because I didn’t planed it. It was comments on my WIP posts and I then pouring gasoline on the fire with that short comic. I genuinely didn’t expect it to blow up like this. 😅

And I know anon that you just joking here but I can't help to say it’s a bummer that some people think of that au when watching that sequence, especially since I intentionally wanted it to make the viewer feel uncomfortable. I feel like that au made some people misjudge that scene.

hehehehe finally got these done!! Reboot is so fun to draw; I swear drawing him just bursting into laughter immediately made me feel so much better about literally everything 🥰 He has such a pretty smile, especially when it's genuine. I love him being silly and giggly 🥰 I want him to just be able to laugh and be happy .....buuuut at the same time I also want to put him through so many of The Horrors(TM), so maybe my wants shouldn't be trusted XD
