Alex pouted, her brows knitted in a frown as she stared blankly at your post; constantly refreshing it to see whether or not you replied to her comment yet.
But every time she does, she gets disappointed—not seeing your reply just makes her grow fonder of your presence.
With a deep sighed, Alex turned off her phone and buried her face in y/n’s favorite pillow. The one she uses every time they sleep, the one that has her lingering smell on it, and the one Charles and Alex coddles up whenever they miss you. Which is constantly so they fight about whoever gets it.
Alex stared blankly at the ceiling, her mind was clouded with the thoughts of you. She just misses you so much it’s killing her. Literally.
The only reason you were out was because of your job; you love modeling that’s why they couldn’t have the guts to stop you from going. But now they just wished that they stopped you.
“Ughhhhh” she sighed, dragging the h along the tone of her boredness. Her voice echoing around the empty room which caught the attention of their boyfriend.
“What’s the matter, bébé?” Charles asked, peeking his head into the doorframe.
Alex lazily dragged her head up to face charles. “Everything’s cool, i just miss her is all” she mumbled, her voice laced with sadness and longing.
Charles smiled emphatically, he knows what it’s like to miss you— he’s going through that too but he’s not taking it as hard like Alex though. He’s trying to act strong for the both of them, i mean someone has to, right?
Alex felt the couch dipped down as Charles sat besides her frame. “Should we call y/n and see what’s she’s up to?” He asked, rubbing soft circles around her back.
“No” she replied all muffled due to her head still facing down and resting on your pillow.
She wanted them to call you; to hear your sweet voice. Alex wanted nothing more than that, but then again she doesn’t want to disturb you and ruin your fun.
“Let’s just watch a movie and try to get our minds of her, yeah?” Sighing defeatedly, alex nodded her head and muttered a low ‘sure’ making Charles smile happily.
So that’s what they did, they watched a movie, and ate all the food they could find in the house until they fell asleep.
They woke up the very next day— saw your recent post and started to miss you like crazy again.

Angst ᐛ. So imagine y/n is fully aware of what the beldam is about. I'm talking from the very begining but kept coming back since they felt so alone. And at some point y/n just walks in, plots their head in the beldam's chest, tearing up after a particularly bad day and is just like. "You know, I know what youre gonna ask... About the buttons. I know its just a way to eat me. But to be honest just hearing yoinsay 'i care about you' is making me consider the offer. Pathetic right?" Would the beldam make it a quick kill or would he not want to eat them anymore? Of course if you dont feel comfortable writing this thats fine too.
The reason why I always take too long to write anything about Male Beldam/Belsire, is because I always fear making something that people won't like especially since it's my most liked story-
But after rereading the story I realized it really isn't all that good X'D I feel like it could have been a lot better if I had put more time into it.
I'm sorry for taking so long to write this, but I really don't want to leave you guys hanging especially since I do really like the idea of a "twisted" ending sort of thing. Thank you for requesting this!
It's very short, but I hope I can talk more about it because I do wonder how Y/n will deal with this new life.

A peek at the keyhole [Yandere!Belsire x GN!Reader - A short Oneshot]
It was during dinner that you decided to seal the deal, he was acting strange… He was starving and you were sure of it. Which was funny because you never saw him eat, now that you think about it.
He doesn't understand where you got that knowledge of how he behaves or of what he consumes- Maybe it was just a lucky guess based on his desperate need to keep you "unaware", always giving a poorly disguised lie about himself.
Who was he? What was he? What did he want? He was your best friend, silly. He was your other friend, and all he wanted was to be with you.
Lies, lies, half truths. He was simply too shady for his own benefit, too obvious for his own good.
Or perhaps he really liked this back and forth between you two, after all- What proof did you have of anything? You couldn't trust his words, yes, but what else did you have to go with?
Just that sinking feeling in your stomach whenever he was near you, whenever he tapped his fingers impatiently because you were just oh so curious about him!
It was adorable, really. Infuriatingly adorable.
Because it didn't matter how much you knew about him, or his "real intentions" with you- You always came back for more. His words of reassurance coated with thick honey and distributed with a soft, calm tone of voice that was just as patronizing as it was endearing.
Treating you like royalty every time you came around and yet always keeping you at arm's length when it came to learning more about him, but did any of that even matter?
You were being taken care of, wasn't that enough? You had friends with you, an adoring handsome fella that wasn't shy at all about treating you more than a friend, if you wanted him to. There was clear favoritism and although common sense would have told you it was a massive red flag, you couldn't deny it was quite refreshing to be regarded with so much love.
The fun will never end, he said. It could go for as long as you wanted, forever even if you agreed to stay with just a little, tiny condition.
He didn't have to explain it in detail for you to instantly agree with him, you cling to him already aware of what your fate would be. A bad day was all he needed for you to accept it in a heartbeat? He could have done this a lot sooner than.
It was just you and him, standing in the kitchen as you hugged him, burying yourself in both a need for contact but also out of embarrassment- Shame of throwing yourself away to the unknown without second thought.
It took him by surprise at first, although not ideal he still met his goal sooner than he expected- Only a couple of nights spent with him and his creations, with only a few fabulous events in between.
Of course he couldn't go TOO wild with his attractions, after all you didn't need a spectacular show to be lured in, you just wanted to be heard and included.
" … Oh dear… Pathetic? Why? There's no reason to feel this way, you made the right choice… "
He wanted to still reassure you of your actions, but it was hard hiding the eagerness in his voice.
He held you tightly, cooing you gently despite your unisseanes and uncertainty.
It was mostly so you wouldn't see the illusion breaking, so you wouldn't hear the sounds of your other friends turning into dust… He simply couldn't keep them for much longer, and now he didn't need to.
It's a shame they couldn't warn you of your mistake sooner, it's a shame that everything he creates reflects his adoration to the people he lures in. If only they could warn you to not let him do this, that it wasn't really worth it.
" Come… It'll be quick, don't worry. " He led you with his hands, which were feeling colder by the minute, sharper than before. Thinner than before.
The lights of the house were starting to lower if not fully turn off behind you as you only focused on following him to his little workshop. You felt the stairs lose their solidity after lifting your feet, each step turning from wood to web quickly.
You were actively following him to your doom, you knew that, and as much as you wanted to you couldn't run away now.
He opened the door to the attic, the only thing that seemed intact in this empty and dark place- It was as if the house was starting to disappear the higher he went, and as you followed him there was no need to keep the rest of the house.
He was trying to be economical here, too many things to keep magically attached and realistic all the time- With no break for lunch.
The attic was the only thing that seemed actually real for you, stepping inside you felt the old floor creek. It was old, moldy, but somehow always well kept, as it was one of the only real things in this void he took care of.
It was his favorite place in the house.
" You can go sit on that chair over there, but if you would like to choose I have a great variety of colors and types for you to pick. " The voice that held warmth and youth to it was also disappearing and being replaced with a dry throat, a rougher tone and a lack of discernible emotion behind it.
You could only tell there was impatience by the constant tapping of his fingernails on his board as he showed you all the possible options.
Classic black like his? Baby blue? Chartreuse?? His constant tapping made you feel like a ticking clock taunting you to pick a color already-
You just pointed to the one color you liked most, hey, who wouldn't want to have their favorite color as their eye color? Although, it wasn't really eyes. Just buttons.
He hummed while giving you a soft smile.
" I'm glad you made a choice for me, I would have been too indecisive. Ah, but they're perfect for you..! You're going to make me so jealous, doll.." It was a joke, or maybe a compliment. It was hard to tell if his monotonous voice was out due to boredom, anger or was his voice like this in general.
Well, he didn't seem mad?? It was hard to understand him and to be honest you were getting very nervous. You sat down in the tall chair, its pastel colors did little to nothing to calm you down. Was this really a good idea?
" Are you ready?... It'll be quick I promise… Although… "
He grabbed your face, trying to be gentle as he inspected your panicking eyes.
You didn't understand what was going inside his head, you couldn't tell what he was planning to do and you weren't sure if his touch was starting to freak you out or sooth you.
" … It'll be fine. I'll make sure of it." He sighed before kissing your forehead, so you wouldn't forget he cared about you.
It was agonizing.
You don't know for how long you stayed out, but you remember your brain blacking out after he sewed the first one in.
You're not sure how you even survived through him stabbing your eyes with a needle- Hell, were you even alive at all?! You couldn't see anything, so either he successfully closed your eyes or you were dead.
No, you probably weren't dead yet, your headache just as bad as your entire face- Raising your hand slowly to touch your face you could feel your eyes covered by thick cloth, it was slightly wet.
Slightly touching and pushing like that caused you to feel immense pain, you immediately stopped- It was still fresh so of course it would hurt like hell.
You were sure that you felt the shape of the buttons underneath the cloth, however.
Your ears buzzed as you tried to regain some of your strength, as you tried to get out from your torture chair you forgot how tall it was- Missing a step and crashing down to the old attic floor with no one to help you.
Falling sure felt like falling! The floor sure felt like a crusty old floor! Yep, you weren't dead.
Your head was aching so badly you weren't sure if what you heard was real or not, but you were sure you heard some commotion coming from downstairs.
It was loud enough to muffle your little accident.
The voices below were followed by painful screaming that lasted for a few minutes after complete silence. A chilling sensation settled in as you started to wonder if the screams you heard felt familiar to you in any way.
You carefully started to get up, slowly you started to consider if you should go back to the tall chair or just make a run for it- But to where? You couldn't see anything!!
You considered taking the cloth off- But you didn't want to feel the pain that came from it. You needed to let it heal after all. Though, you doubted that you would be able to see anything with freaking BUTTONS in your eyes!!
Was it too late to regret your decision? It seemed like it.
You walked around trying to feel your way, where was the door again? You were sure you were on the right track… Your hand went from old wood to a nice clean carpet- Wait- Wasn't the house entirely destroyed? Shouldn't it be a spider web here?
Or, well, everywhere?
The fur of the carpet fooled you as you felt your hand squeeze something very soft that squeaked and scurried away from you. A rat.
" I'm sorry!- " You whispered to him, but he didn't appreciate your attempt at escaping, he squealed as he ran down stairs alerting his owner that you were awake.
Well, shit.
You would have screamed if you were able to see the heavy thing that came up the stairs in such a hurry, it didn't help that although you couldn't see him, the sound of metal hitting the walls and the floor made you highly concerned.
What the fuck was that-
" You shouldn't have left the room without telling me. " The same monotonous voice, although he didn't sound so exhausted like he did before- Not as hungry, you assumed.
" Come, let me help you. " You could hear him approach, as if he was wearing high heels it was hard to not hear him coming closer.
And you couldn't help but feel like distancing yourself further, his boney fingers didn't help you feel any more relaxed- They were sharp and cold, it felt like pure needles taking your hand and pulling you up.
" You need to rest for a little longer, doll. But you can't heal with an empty stomach right? " He guided you with his hand, you felt sick at the mention of food.
He helped you get down the stairs by holding you bride style, and you almost cried at the sensation of his hard and cold skin, you trembled at how those same needles would gently squeeze your skin-
One wrong move and they would tear your skin apart.
He helped you sit in a chair, you assumed you were at the kitchen's table by now.
Was this your end…? Was he really going to do this now??
…. No. He was just cooking something, presumably for you. It smelled of omelets and orange juice, it was simple but it was a very nice scent.
This kitchen reeked of blood, however. Instinctively you took your hands to cover your nose, and probably your mouth as well since you weren't sure if shouting would be a good idea right now. He hates loud noises.
" Don't worry about it, it was just a pesky guest who didn't take no for an answer! I'm sorry for the mess. I'll clean it up after you eat. " A more upbeat and sweet voice, the same one you were more accustomed with. Reassurance and comfort all tied with a smile you were more familiar with.
Approaching you with a plate in hand, and a juice glass in the other.
" Don't worry, I didn't put any of the nasty stuff for you. Just eggs and lots of love. The spoiled food is for me. " He kissed you on the cheek, it felt like being touched by porcelain.
He handed you the fork, but you weren't sure if you wanted to find out if he kept his word or not.
He killed someone here, didn't he? Those noises you heard when you were up in the attic plus the smell of iron coating every inch of this kitchen sure weren't just coincidence. He… He wouldn't force you to eat someone, would he?
Who was it?... Who was it..?!
Was he referring to the person as "spoiled food"?
" Doll. I told you to not worry. There's no meat on your plate, I'm a bit selfish when it comes to sharing food. I'm sorry but there's nothing left of them for you, if I knew you wanted to try I wouldn't have been so careless- "
" N-No, it's… It's fine! I'm just… I can't really see anything…" You tried to not sound as terrified of him as you were, heaven knows you shouldn't feed any monster your own fear, it's what they live on.
" …. Aw… You're blind, I'm so sorry! I forgot about that. " He started to laugh as he slapped his forehead about forgetting something so crucial, silly him!
You weren't sure if he was being honest about forgetting that, but you sure as hell knew by the way he snatched the fork from your hand and how he seemed to drag his chair closer to you that he was probably very excited to do this.
" Say, ah~! " You knew he was having fun when he pinched your cheek to make you open your mouth.
Well, yep, those were just eggs. I mean it was a very tasty omelet but that was it, the orange juice didn't taste any different. Probably a little too sweet, but that's it.
It was probably due to the pain you were feeling in the front of your entire face that made you very much NOT interested in eating, or maybe it was the dripping sound and the smell of blood. The thought that somehow you were sitting possibly next to a murder scene, and/or a body, and the murderer was feeding you, made you very unease.
" Try to not think too much about it, it's just the way things will be for now… Isn't it so much better this way too? We will be able to spend so much time together and I just need you to stay in the attic whenever we have "guests" over. Do you understand me? "
" With just a little bit of magic I'm about to make the house more comfortable for you, to cook you meals endlessly and I can even make you a few more outfits. I'll be sure to make the house more appropriate for a human like you. "
He petted your head after you finished the plate, kissing your forehead and letting the dishes in the sink.
" Now, let me help you get up, we'll need to give you a bath and put you in more comfortable clothes, and then we can lay down. I'm sure you're still very tired after our little surgery. "
He helped you get up and walked you towards the bathroom… You couldn't help but feel worried about what you were doing.
Wasn't this all you ever wanted? To be adored by someone who treats you so well? Didn't you feel glad you accepted his offer?
Were you a bad person for wanting this?
Well, you didn't want THIS as in- Him eating people- All you wanted was to be with him for longer…
Why did you feel really scared whenever he touched with the same gentleness but none of the softness his skin used to have? You knew running wouldn't be a good idea since you couldn't see anything, and you didn't know the layout of the house well enough to memorize where the little door was...
Right?
" You're so stiff, my love! Are you scared of walking around your own house? I promise I kept everything intact, it's my house as well you know… And besides I'll always be here to guide you while you still recover. " You felt him nuzzle his hand against your neck, cold, hard. You wondered how much he changed now that he didn't need to pretend to look a certain way for you.
Maybe it was best to not know.
" … You're so silent right now, it almost feels like I have been running my mouth for hours! I didn't know you were such a silent type. " He teased, while kissing the back of your neck gently.
It was probably your lack of spatial awareness, but he somehow seemed a lot taller- As if it took some effort to lower himself down just to kiss you.
" My head… it hurts so much.."
" Aw, I know, love, I know. It'll take a while for you to feel better but it'll be so worth it… I'll help you learn new things, like how to feel the vibrations in my web, it'll help you "see" better. Or how to read braille, or how to walk around the house carefully, or how to tell someone is planning on running away during a conversation. "
He poked the sides of your stomach, an action that was supposed to be just couple's teasing but was actually quite terrifying and painful considering how sharp his fingers were.
" You couldn't be any less obvious love. I'm sorry if I scared you, I couldn't resist. " And yet he didn't sound irritated or annoyed, it could be that he was just pretending to not care… But he sounded more amused than anything.
" I'm just teasing you, doll! Come on, don't look like that, I'm just in a good mood! You know I can't stay annoyed at you. Let's hurry up and get you cleaned, alright? "
As he carefully started to shove you inside the bathroom you wondered if he didn't mess with something in your head alongside your eyes.

I have been planning on seeing this movie as soon as it was introduced to me, but there was two key films I was focused on (Joker: Folie a Deux and Venom: The Last) Normally, I never go to the theater more than twice a month because of money and stuff I really want to see. This movie, thought was an exception as I needed time to really let out a good cry and just be out of my day-to-day ritual. This movie did do the trick!
TW: Before going any further, there is going to be significant talk of cancer as that plays a huge role in this movie. If this is an uncomfortable subject, please refrain from anything I say regarding the subject regarding the movie. However, cancer isn’t always at the center of the movie.
Acting: I have to say that this was one of Garfield’s and Pugh’s best performances in my opinion. From start to finish, their chemistry is off the charts and I could feel the love that they had for each other. The subtle details like the eyes shifting up and away from each other whenever they are mad and arguing to the stuttering in Tobias’s voice (Garfield) when he is attempting to confess his love/marry her. BTW: gorgeous scene but won’t go further than that because you have to see it for yourself.
Characters: It didn’t feel like a movie, but rather two people and experiencing their lives together. Almut’s pain (Pugh) was shown throughout the movie as she is balancing a career, attempting to compete in the Bocuse d’Or an intense cooking competition. The pain is heartbreaking to see, but comforting to see that Almut is determined to beat the cancer as hard as she can so she can make something of herself that her daughter would be proud of. The way she might go about it in the intense focus but critical way can be overwhelming at times, but uncomfortable at times however it allowed me to see what the director at envisioned, that the stakes were high for Almut and Jade (cooking partner aka sous chef) and the competition setting. Outside of the cooking environment, we got to see her vulnerable side when Almut and Tobias are told that the chemotherapy isn’t working. We see for a moment about how all of her plans are falling apart, the way she looks down, holding back her tears shows how afraid she is having to go through this again. It’s devastating for her and people that have gone through this before, however, it does show the best in humanity as the nurse says to her “it’s okay not to be okay”. It’s painful to have to give this news to anyone, showing any type of honesty and comfort she can give towards her. Acknowledging the silence and hurt in a honest and artistic way.
Tobias is by far my favorite male character I have seen in a non-Marvel film. The support he gives Almut towards her career and cancer is honorable and I need to acknowledge that. We see him go through a man who only lives for the future, rushing for the next thing to happen while missing on what’s happening in front of him. However, when he professes his love for Almut, we see him become vulnerable and way from the pessimistic person that his experiences have led him up till now. It’s refreshing to see men in movies that are supportive towards there partners and giving us those types of qualities while also being able to balance out his concerns/boundaries was amazing to see in terms of writing, characterization, and acting on Garfield’s part. Both characters get there development but we also get to see them as real authentic humans who fall in love and deal with serious circumstances without having it feel too sappy/cliche.
Fair Warning: Only thing I will say about this movies that needs to be warned is the movie doesn’t go in chronological order of events. Sometimes you’ll be skipped into moments where there is the competition and training, other parts you’ll see where they first meet and just starting to get to know each other. However, this technique works as we get to see the development and the subtle details that they’ve said in the past make its way into the future and for me it wasn’t confusing. So be prepared to see sequences out of order!
Setting: Every scene and the background is gorgeous! From the restaurants to the cottages where they raise their daughter, Ellie. Every element from start to finish was perfect and matched each scene to perfection!
This was one of the best love stories I have seen in my opinion and recommend seeing this movie if you are a fan of a romance movie comedy/drama film!

For the WIP asks, please tell me about 'full werewolf off the buckle' :D
Oh man, full werewolf off the buckle. This is actually a concept I came up with maybe...four? five? years ago and occasionally I take it out and revolve it in my mind, you know how we do. The title comes from "Werewolf Gimmick" by The Mountain Goats, which is a delightful song about a pro wrestler who loses his shit and performs egregious violence.
Basically, you know the trope where there's a love spell or curse or something, and everyone is suddenly obsessed with the main character except, gasp, the love interest is magically immune! But no, they were never immune, they've just been in love the whole time! (I feel like this sounds more biting than I mean it to, I do unironically love that trope very much) This is a similar concept, except what they're in love with is bloodshed.
My default pack is early seasons (Erica and Boyd, my beloveds) so usually I blame Peter or some generic witches, but any bad guys could do--a curse is set upon the pack, and everyone's violent instincts are heightened. Scott and the puppies (and Allison, our girl bloodbath herself) become volatile and incredibly dangerous, but Derek and Stiles are more or less the same as always. Derek makes sense, because he's been getting a lot of practice in self-control with his new alpha strength and his violent instincts are basically only defensive anyway, but Stiles throws everyone for a loop. Until they figure out, in proper trope form, that he lives his life one millimeter from murder at all times and the curse doesn't really change anything for him. Delightful!
I have a hard time imagining Lydia feral enough to do violence with her bare hands and yet coherent enough for dialogue, but if she did violence not with her hands then everyone would actually die and that wouldn't make for a very good story, so she tends to be either immune or handily offsite when the curse is laid down. Scott has the least practice with his negative emotions and with his werewolfy violence, so he's correspondingly least controlled and most dangerous, which makes him very uncomfortable. The betas, however many of them are around, get to be very smug when they're not assaulting one another. And I trade off who figures out the secret of Stiles' apparent immunity, but I tend to go for either Derek has always had an instinctive recognition of Stiles as a potential danger, maybe with references to how Laura felt growing up, or else Scott provides a very loving and accepting casual 'oh yes, Stiles wants to maim and mangle everyone around us always'. It's very fun for me.
"And you? Still no--" Derek has no idea why he's still pushing this. They have bigger problems, objectively, than how terrified he is to find Stiles suddenly the least dangerous packmate in the room. "No uncontrollable urge to maim and murder?" "Not uncontrollable, but if you keep fucking asking, I'm sure you can get it there!"
#asks#zahnie#folks who were in the depths of the TW trenches with me may have heard this one before#I go back to it whenever I want to refresh my voices for the TW characters and also sometimes for violence practice#it's got everything I need! gratuitous violence and loving insults and mass chaos and slow-dawning love

Dying in his arms
A/N: Too much brainrot from fluff. I crave for angst 🙃 I've been seeing this prompt floating around and wanted to make my own version of it. Enjoy! 🥀
⛔️ TWs: (your) death, lot of tears, full-on breakdown (don't we love it when they're broken hahaha), no 'moving on' endings (well... maybe one?), angsty stuff galore (whee!)
Luffy
Denial denial denial d e n i a l
This is just a bad dream. A really bad dream.
He's had those sometimes, visions of Ace shielding him and going limp in his arms.
And now it's you.
That's all that there is, right?
And then he realizes that the sensations are too vivid to be just a bad nightmare.
The familiar scent of blood, the sensation of you going limp in his arms, the way you struggle to breathe properly...
It hits him so much harder because he's experienced someone dying in his arms once before.
If he didn't get to say goodbye to you, he would be crushed and will be practically inconsolable.
Screaming and kicking and punching everyone who's trying to coax him to let go of your unmoving body.
If he gets to say goodbye, it's even worse.
Your image overlaps with Ace, and he can't process your words, doesn't understand how and why you're encouraging him to live on and how you'll be watching him when his name spreads across the whole world as the Pirate King's successor.
How did he let this happen? Again? And to you of all people?
What kind of Pirate King can't even keep his nakama alive?
Sanji
It reminds him of his late mother, but it's an even crueler version than that.
Because he can see you slowly leaving him right in front of his eyes.
He begs and cries and presses kisses after kisses to your forehead, knowing how much you love it when he does that and how you've told him before that it makes you feel safe.
Professes his love for you over and over again, pouring all his emotions into his words and the tender touches across your skin.
You're smiling when you finally close your eyes.
Even in death, you are still so beautiful to him.
It takes him a long time until he's able to do normal activities.
He always forgets and includes your portion when he cooks for the crew.
It becomes a daily occurrence. Your snacks, your desserts, your refreshments - he still serves it to your empty seat, as if you'll somehow see it and suddenly appear in front of him.
Soon enough no one says anything when he places your favorite food and preferred drink in front of your chair. Not even Luffy tries to steal it despite how they're left unattended.
Every night he'd eat all the things he made for you, trying to memorize the taste you so loved, in fear of eventually forgetting.
Afterall, he thinks he's already forgotten the feeling he used to get whenever you called his name.
What does love feel like again?
Ace
Oh god. Oh dear. Oh no.
Full blown crying, bawling, literally a mess.
Holds you close to his body, and when he feels how cold you are he warms up his own body so you won't get cold.
Such an innocent gesture and yet so macabre.
Will literally do anything to try and keep you with him just for a little longer.
Calls out for Marco even if he's not around. He can't make sense of anything in this state.
Parts of his body are exploding and turning into flames because his mind is so unstable.
(But none of the flames touch you somehow)
Tries to hold back from sobbing and whimpering when you call his name.
Who cares if his lips bleed when his heart feels like it's been sliced open?
Hangs onto every single one of your last words while he's concentrating on your voice, your eyes, the way your lips move and whisper his name.
And when your eyes flutter to a close, he's pressing himself close to you, back to uncontrollable sobbing and yelling profanities at the cruel world. The world that scarred him and took you away.
When his own end comes, he smiles.
Not just because he's glad to have his family with him in his last moment and feel how loved he was.
But also because he's finally going to see you again.
Law
His immediate reaction, unsurprisingly, is to activate Room.
Even though he already knows from a glance that you're too far gone, that there's no hope left for you, he still does it anyway.
Inside the sphere, he can see and feel everything, and it's both a curse and a blessing in that moment.
He can feel it all. Your breathing weakening. Your heartbeat slowing. Your life, slipping away from him.
But doctors are stubborn beings when it comes to preserving life. And Law's no exception.
His thoughts going a mile a second, he's moving on autopilot: stitching everything back together, trying to stop your bleeding, removing any harmful toxins in your body, mending your broken bones - everything he could do at the moment with the very limited equipment, he does it without hesitation.
He knows all he's doing is will only result in prolonging your end for some measly extra seconds, and even though you tell him to stop, he doesn't care.
He doesn't stop even when your heart does.
The crew finds him still trying to fix you, hours later.
Eventually passes out of exhaustion from overusing his power for such a long duration. Then he's forced to stop.
It'll forever haunt him. In his dreams, in the day and at night, as long as his own heart is still beating inside his chest.
The sin of not using his Devil Fruit's ultimate power to trade your life with his.
He'll never hold anyone so close to his heart, ever again.
Kid
Loud shouting and angry yelling.
Does not understand that moving you around is worsening your condition until you manage to wheeze out a soft 'Kid, it hurts'.
Only then he freezes and as the situation dawns on him, he's utterly lost.
He can't move you, he can't get help, there's no way he's leaving you alone here like this, so what the fuck was he supposed to do now?
He only knows basic first aid and how to bandage wounds, so he does just that despite your protest.
Berates you when you tell him it's all going to be okay. You're most definitely not okay, how fucking dare you say some bullshit like that?
Never before he's this gentle and vulnerable with you, pressing your foreheads together, him rambling in panic as more and more of your blood seeped through the bandages.
"Fuck fuck fuck fuck hang in there, I-I'll build you a damn heart if I have to! Just-"
His flesh arm squeezes your hand tighter when your grip weakens.
He doesn't understand why you're smiling and how you're laughing when he's literally seeing the light slowly fade from your eyes.
"I'll do anything! Fuck, you can't do this to me [name] I haven't even get to say-"
Your lifeless, dull eyes stares through his broken soul and he's unable to stop his tears from falling as he brings your blood-smeared hand to his trembling lips.
"... that... I..."
love you
Killer
Is silent. Deathly so.
But the tears are streaming through his mask, betraying how 'calm' he might have seemed.
If seeing his face is your final wish, he will gladly throw his mask away.
His hold on you is so tender and so is the hand that's wiping away the blood from your face.
Firmly shakes his head in denial when you tell him you don't have much time left.
His usually level voice is trembling as he pleads to you to stay with him.
"Not yet. Don't leave now. Not yet."
In the end, this is the only time you don't - can't - abide by his wish.
And he can't even do anything as you die in his arms.
It reminds him how he's made for slaughter, not protecting people.
That his strength is nothing in front of the grim reaper when it's insistent to take you away from him.
That he shouldn't have been overconfident, saying pretty promises to you like how he'll protect you, or that he won't let you die.
Who was he trying to fool?
In the end, he's just a killing machine.
Doflamingo
Is expressionless when he surveys the extent of damage on your body.
A mere passerby would have thought that he didn't care that you were dying in front of him.
But you know he does.
He's handling you like shards of broken glass, which you are.
Broken and just waiting for your demise, your whole body assaulted by pain.
Pulls you into his lap, doesn't even care that your blood is now all over his beloved custom made clothes, and caresses your cheek.
Removes his sunglasses. His eyes are dry, but they hold just as much pain as what you're experiencing right now.
"Do you need me to make it easier, [name]?"
You close your eyes and when you reopen them, you give him the smile he's grown to love.
Still just as breathtaking, even if it's lacking your usual vigor.
You nod. He nods back resolutely.
"Wait for me in hell."
It's the easiest and yet the hardest kill in his life.
One string bullet through your head and you're gone.
Doffy closes his eyes, allowing himself a moment of grieving before putting on his signature sunglasses and letting your body slump to the floor.
He tells his family to clean up the body and take care of your funeral.
And if they see a single tear drop down his cheeks before he launches himself into the air with his strings, they don't dare to comment on it.
Sabo
Sabo hates the stiff rules and the long protocols he has to follow sometimes, being a revolutionary and the big organization's chief of staff.
But for once he wishes he has a protocol set in place to tell him what he was supposed to be doing.
For once he wishes he has some sort of guide detailing on how to save you when you're barely hanging on to the thread of life right in front of him.
He doesn't know what to do.
Was this how Luffy felt when Ace died in his arms?
How does he do it?
How can he continue living?
How can he laugh so carefreely knowing he's failed to save someone so important?
He can't.
Locks himself in his room and doesn't come out for days.
When he does come out, it's been weeks and he's missed your funeral. His colleagues greet him carefully and he gives them a stiff nod.
They're so glad he's looking a lot better, so Koala softly suggests visiting your grave together.
He blinks and gives them a wry smile.
"[name]? .... Who's that?"
A/N: Congratulations for making this far! You're a champ! Ah, this was so much fun to write and I hope it was an enjoyable read :)

Between the devil and the deep blue sea (Yakuza!Josuke x Reader x Don Giorno)
If you're looking for cinnamon bun Josuke and cinnamon roll Giorno this is NOT it. The reader is a courtesan in this instance, and the Duwang gang (heh) are actually a branch of the Yakuza. (Just a darker, criminal Jojo AU)
This request took way too long, @rubyninja1 here you go love, I hope this is what you were envisioning.
All characters are aged up as this occurs many years after Giorno becomes Don.
TW: Very OOC, yandere behavior if you squint, yakuza x mafia au, suggestive content.
Word Count: 1.7k
Minors please DNI with this post and block the n/sfw tag
You stared at your reflection in the misty mirror, wiping off the steam in one swipe. You had a very important engagement to get ready for, and for the first time since you entered this business, you were nervous. Ever since Giorno became the Don of Passione, the drug trade came to a grinding halt. The rules were adapted to suit his ideals and keep Italy’s youth safe from drugs. But there remained one problem- the activities of the former execution squad… at the best of times, the income brought in was meagre, not really being enough to support all of the assassins, and with the new regime, even those jobs had all but dried up. You had to get creative to generate a livable income, and after many conversations and playing to the Don’s affections for you, you were able to persuade him to allow you and an elite group of escorts to run your business while still being under the protection of Passione.
Under normal circumstances, Giorno would not have allowed you to do something like this, but you had asked him to give you just one month to prove that you would be able to protect yourself while doing the line of work you had proposed, him hoping silently that you would grow tired of that life in favor of a more mundane activity, however, in that short amount of time, not only had you established your business, but you had become the most requested companion, which meant you could accept and deny requests at will- suddenly money was no longer your motivation. It was an intoxicating feeling… being that desired, it was altogether euphoric watching them crumble at your sweet rejections. It was fair game for any man, deciding your rules according to your latest whims, although, one man was above all of those games, being in a superior league all on his own. There was no waiting, or appraising when your presence was requested by Don Giovanna. Most times he would request for you to entertain his associates, close to him so he could keep an eye on you- one of many guardians that you had collected over the years.
Moving into your adjoining room you put on the beautiful silken embroidered outfit and hair ornaments sent to you by Giorno- tonight was a special night as the Don wasn’t just hosting any old Mafiosi, these guests were his esteemed associates from Japan. Over and above the usual treatment doled out to those who met with the don, this visit was more important than most. The head of the visiting group was a relative of Giorno’s, so there was no room for error. You wondered about his convoluted bloodline, hearing murmurs about his origins, but nothing was ever confirmed or denied other than the fact that his mother is Japanese, and nobody dared to push further for answers, not that it mattered in any case, by this time, Giorno had rearranged the entire structure of Passione, and for all intents and purposes it worked, sustainably generating copious amounts of money with minimal bloodshed.
Right, mascara and I’ll be done you mused as you applied the finishing touches to your makeup. No sooner had you finished primping your lashes did you hear a knock on your door.
“It’s open…” you called out from the seat in front of your mirror.
“(y/n), they’re ready with the car downstairs, whenever you’re ready to go…”
“Thank you Ris…” the words left your carefully painted lips, barely acknowledged by your capo when he turned to leave. Well, referring to him as Capo was now redundant seeing that you were an entity in your own right, but old habits die hard, and you still respected him in the same way. He always worried before you set out on these types of missions, remembering a time when you used to be sent out on missions by him. Nonetheless, those days were over now, and you had a new role to fulfil.
There was nobody downstairs when you left, so you exited quietly and steeled your mind on the drive to the private cigar lounge.
“Fugo, I’ll be in my study, please alert me when Higashikata and his associates are here. Also confirm with Risotto if (y/n) is on board for this evening,”
“Of course Giogio, excuse me, I’ll also follow up with Mista on the status of the Capos he’s in charge of- I’ll have feedback for you in an hour,” with a small nod of acknowledgement Fugo took his leave and Giorno went back to examining the documents sent to him beforehand about the strange occurrences in Morioh, Washington, and now Naples. This was the start of something ominous, having a nagging feeling that this wasn’t the last time he would have to meet Josuke. It’s highly unusual for organisations like Passione and the Gokudo to interact in this manner, but this situation was exceptional, and when Jotaro had made contact with Giorno explaining the situation, he couldn’t turn a blind eye, and as such, Josuke was sent in his stead to meet with the young Don.
“Giogio, we should leave now if we want to get there before Higashikata’s group, Mista will meet us there,” with that, the Don and his consigliere had left to receive their guests.
Scents of old leather, expensive tobacco, and even more expensive cologne filled the air when you sauntered in. A handsome man with a pompadour, donning a designer suit, shirt opened a few buttons too low displaying the elaborate patterns adorning his chest offered you a wicked grin from across the room. Just next to him, another ruggedly good looking man with scars across his face nursed a drink while emphatically making conversation with a white haired young man who had a beautiful raven-haired woman draped over him.
“Ah, (y/n), there you are, come on, take this to Don Giovanna and Mr Higashikata,” Maria the head hostess, pushed a bottle of cognac into your hands, the Mafiosi already having gone through a couple of rounds before your arrival.
You approached the rowdy table, offering apologies for the delay, nestling yourself between Giorno and Josuke with a flirtatious giggle.
“Well dollface, it seems good things come to those who wait, so I’ll overlook it… this time,” You were surprised with the fluency at which Josuke spoke Italian- perfect Neapolitan dialect.
“Your Italian is impeccable Higashikata-sama,” you commented, remembering the honorifics you read about. Josuke looked impressed, cocking an eyebrow, taking a sip of the expensive liquor that remained in his glass, readying himself for you to pour him another drink. Watching the exchange, Giorno downed the rest of his drink as well, and took care of the formal introductions, not that it mattered in any case. You were being pulled in all to quickly by the magnetism exuded by the young man, being lulled by the dulcet tones of his voice. I guess this runs in the family you thought to yourself, recalling your first encounter with the don. Giorno continued his conversations with the rest of Josuke’s associates, discussing the occurrences that had brought them all the way to Naples, but kept one eye on you at all times. He wasn’t sure if it was Josuke’s brazen attitude, or your fawning, but the entire situation had annoyed him, which didn’t make sense even to him seeing that you were acting on his instruction… although by this point, you weren’t really acting.
“So Higash…”
“Please, call me Josuke,”
“Okay, Josuke, those are some interesting tattoos you have…” you say, delicately tracing the patterns on his chest with a manicured finger.
“Wanna see the rest of it?” not really waiting for an answer, Josuke unbuttons the rest of his shirt to show you the elaborate design on his back, a large stunning dragon sprawled menacingly across the taut skin, stopping just shy of star-shaped marking on his shoulder.
“Hey, that looks like the same mark on the don’s shoulder…” the young man pulled his shirt and coat back on and eyed Giorno knowingly, to which the don wordlessly replied with a smirk as he raised his glass. Giorno wasn’t always that condescending, but he had the urge to make it known that hewas the one who had been acquainted with you first. Not that any of that had bothered Josuke, he wasn’t one to fall for minor acts of derision when he had set his sights on something he wanted, and right now, that was you. Missing that entire interaction as you refreshed everyone else’s drinks, you returned to the table, however Josuke wanted to take your conversation to another location, somewhere quieter.
You lead him to one of the private meeting rooms, slowly sliding the door shut. Turning around to face him, you noticed the look on Josuke’s face changed, eyes darker, expression demanding your attention, which you were unable to avert regardless of your efforts. This feeling was exhilarating to you, for so long you had mostly been in charge of your encounters, only ever yielding control to Giorno when you were with him.
“Y’know, your don was doing his best to make it known that he’d been here first… I don’t much care for the conquest or doing things first, all that matters is doing it right…” inching closer towards you, a pair of strong arms placed you on the table, hungry lips captured your own, your hands attempting to go into his hair when you were gently reprimanded. As much as this was a job for you, evidence of your excitement pooled in your lingerie and left your lips in muted moans as deft hands and lips skillfully worshipped your body, bringing you to the precipice of ecstasy so many times before allowing you to fall in.
“Good girl… look at you, barely able to think…” Josuke spoke into your shoulder, resting his head there while he waited for you ride out your climax.
Outside your little slice of heaven, your absence was obvious, Giorno having concluded his business, had started to take his leave, not before catching a glimpse of your slightly disheveled form exiting the room. You didn’t see him watching you with a scowl, already having set in motion a plan for your future in both his life and the organization… for now the moment though it seemed ignorance truly was bliss.

Part two of Partners
Tw: None..only some fluff..
A plethora of muffled noises filled your ears. It felt as though you had been under water for as long as you remember, and had just peeked at the surface. Your eyes were still closed, but you could see a white light above the surface. You push yourself to swim to the edge, towards that light. As you swam closer, the noises became clearer. Louder. It hurt your head. But you had to continue forward. So you pushed yourself to the surface.
Finally opening your eyes, it felt as though you had broken through the surface that was trapping you in a deep slumber. You were no longer under water. The voices became much clearer. You could hear multiple people. Some of whom you recognized.
You took in a deep breath, feeling the crisp air around you.
"Y/N?"
A silky voice said, right next to you.
You peered your eyes open a little more, fighting the sting of the brightness of your surroundings.
You could see a pale ceiling. And smell antiseptic. You were in the hospital.
Looking to your side, you were met with concerned brown orbs.
"Hey.." You smile at him.
All of a sudden, he hugs you. He buries his head in your neck, whispering an almost inaudible, "I almost lost you.."
You froze. You could smell his cologne. It was refreshing. Soft brown hair tickled your face as he stayed like that for a while. You didn't know what to do. You and Dazai have been friends for a really long time, and have hugged before. But this time it felt different. It felt deep and meaningful. You just stayed there, letting the feeling of his warm breath on your neck, his strong arms around your shoulders, and the concerned, timid tone of his voice sink in.
Abruptly pulling back, he stands up straight, facing away from you. Placing his hands in his pockets, he mumbles,
"I'll tell the others."
With that, he was out of the room in an instant.
You were so confused. Did he just hug you? Does he care about you? Did he fear losing you?
And what's this warm feeling? Do you like him?? Well, ofcourse you like him. But does he like you too?
"You're awake!"
Kunikida strides in, followed shortly by Yosano and Ranpo.
"I'm so glad!", Yosano says as she hugs you, kissing your cheek.
You hug her back, smiling at them.
"Hey, guys!"
Ranpo was quietly watching you.
"Hey Ranpo San.. "
He acknowledged you with a nod.
"Is everything ok??", you ask, worried about him.
His green eyes bore into yours.
"I was worried about you. Don't do that again. I missed you."
That was huge coming from him.
"Come here" you open your arms, inviting him for a hug.
You hugged the emerald eyed man child; Yosano forcefully pulling Kunikida along with her to join you guys. You lot bonded over a group hug.
"Y/N San!! Are you OK! I was so worried! I'm so glad you're awake!"
Atsushi rushed into the room, followed by Kyoka and Kenji, hot on his heels.
He and Kenji joined in the hug.The usually conserved Kyoka also jumped into the hug. You kissed their tiny heads, telling them how much you had missed them.
A few moments later, the president walked in, carrying a cup of tea for you. He said that he was glad that you were feeling better. The tea he had gotten had healing qualities, so he pretty much forced it down your throat.
"President, about the case.. What happened?"
The president filled you in.
The girl you two encountered, Sakura Yagami, wasn't the one that was kidnapped. She was an ability user who could mess with minds. She wasn't very experienced, but she had mastered the art of making her opponents see a different face when they saw her, making them believe that she was someone else entirely. Her height and build matched that of the girl that was taken. She used her ability to manipulate your mind, and make you believe that she looked like Aiko, the missing girl.
Sakura had used the help of light and shadows to mask majority of her features. Afterall, the ambush had taken place in a dark, abandoned warehouse, where there were no artificial sources of light. This resulted in half of her features being hidden in the shadows, making it difficult for Dazai, who wasn't affected by her ability, to recognize a different face. Most of the time, Dazai stayed behind Ito and Sakura, and hence never got a chance to properly inspect her facial features.
Meanwhile, Aiko has been kept in some hideout. The ability users will shortly be interviewed, and hopefully, the location of the missing girl will be known.
"I see. So she was the mastermind of the entire fiasco, not Ito."
"Correct."
The president then excused himself, along with Yosano and Ranpo, who had to carry out the interrogation.
Atsushi and Kyoka were forced out by Kunikida, who believed that they would only cause ruckus in here.
"Have you talked to Dazai yet?"
He asked you.
"Yes, and no."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I did get to say hi, but didn't get a chance to say anything more.."
"I see... He was very worried. The most worried, actually."
Oh?
"I'll go get him."
Kunikida left to get Dazai. He didn't return, only sending Dazai to the room.
Dazai walked into the room with a smile, one that didn't reach his eyes.
"Y/N! Don't tell Kunikida, but I stole his glasses "
You giggled.
"You really don't change, do you?"
He grinned boyishly at you.
"Never!"
You hesitate to ask him, but you do anyways.
"Dazai, why were you so worried about me?"
He blinked for a moment, processing what you had asked him, choosing his next words carefully.
"Because you are a valued member of the organization, ofcourse!"
Your heart sank at his words. Maybe you had overthought. Maybe it was just one sided. You had always liked him. He had a certain aura around him that dragged you in. But you were never able to guage whether he liked you back. So you never said anything. You understood him, in a way. The darkness that he tries so hard to hide, is pretty easy to notice for you.
You have been through quite a lot, seen a lot, and have experienced a similar darkness. You used to be a part of that darkness too. But not anymore. Now, you were trying to heal. And so was he. You thought you understood him to a deep level, because you both were going through the same process; the process of healing. But maybe, you were reading a little too much. Maybe, there isn't anything in between the lines. Maybe, he doesn't get you, or maybe you don't get him at all.
"Why do you ask?"
"No reason!", there it was. Your own mask. Dazai was amazing at hiding his emotions behind a façade. But so were you.
"Ne, Dazai, what are you going to do with those glasses? Do you have anything planned? I want to join in the prank!"
You say, grinning at him.
He stays silent, observing your face.
"What are you thinking?"
He moves closer to you, seating himself on the chair next to your bed.
"Y/N.. I.."
His heart was thumping in his chest. It was beating so hard, he felt that at any second, it would jump out and start dancing on the floor.
He had seen your expressions just now. It was just for a split second, but you had let your guard down, and a variety of emotions had run through your eyes. He had seen that. He had seen the slight disappointment in your eyes when he had closed himself up from you.
Nobody understood him the way you did. Whenever he was having a bad day, you would always cheer him up. And not always in a traditional way, either. You could read his feelings. He felt like an open book when you were around. He couldn't hide his thoughts from you, even if he tried. You would accurately gauge what he was feeling, and do whatever you deemed would make him feel good. And it always worked. Sometimes, it was a random walk at 3 am, when he would text you telling you that he couldn't sleep.. Sometimes it was some stupid prank that you would devise, roping him in, and relieving him of the pent up stress he was experiencing. At other times, you would randomly show up at his house, carrying cans of crab, or bottles of sake and beer , distracting him from his dark thoughts. He didn't know how you managed to do that, how you always knew that he needed you, and what you needed to do to make him feel better. He really cherished having you in his life.
He had harbored a crush on you for months now. He hadn't said a word about it, fearing that all you felt for him were friendly feelings. He always held himself back, and had to control his urge to shout his feelings for you from the top of some building. He liked you so much, he knew it was love. Lord, you hadn't even started dating yet! Still, he knew he loved you. You are a unique, amazing person, and he couldn't imagine his life without you in it. So when you were hurt today, when you passed out from the pain, he almost lost it. He couldn't think straight. He doesn't even remember what he did afterwards. All he remembers is thinking ,'Please be ok, please be ok ' on repeat. His sole purpose was to get you to safety. When you had finally gained consciousness, he had let all his guards down. He couldn't help the overflow of relief that flooded his body at that moment. So he hugged you.
He thought that maybe this is the right moment to finally tell you how he truly felt. But what if you don't like him back?
No. He had seen your expressions. You could read him easily, but he could read you too. He knew now, for a fact, that you felt the same way. He had seen it on your face. But what if he's wrong?
Well, one must take a chance to know the result.
"I like you, Y/N."
He finally says.
You look at him wide eyed. Then start laughing.
"You're scaring me."
You wipe your tears.
"No, please don't misunderstand... I like you too! Oh my God, I was so worried! I thought you didn't like me back..."
You continued laughing. Dazai sighed in relief, happy to know that his feelings were reciprocated.
"How long have you liked me, Dazai?"
You ask him.
"How long have you liked me, Y/N?"
He countered.
"Ha! Don't turn the question on me! Answer me, first!"
Dazai stuck his tongue out, shaking his head like a child.
"No way. I bet you have been liking me for over a year now. I'm so charming, afterall!"
You gasp at that.
"Don't tell me.... you've been liking me for months now, haven't you!"
"Hah?? I never said that!"
"Oh, but you made it quite clear!"
"How so?!"
"You said 'you must've liked me for a year'!"
Dazai scoffed.
"That doesn't prove anything!"
"It does! You tried to quote a time period greater than yours, to seem superior!" You exclaim, pointing your finger at him.
"It's simple psychology. You should know this by now.", you say smugly, smirking at him.
"You're a terrible person reader!"
"Seriously? 'Person reader'? Improve your vocabulary."
"Haah?! You tell me what it's called, then!"
"It doesn't matter what I say! You suck!" You stick your tongue out this time.
You two are children, I swear.
"I suppose you leave me no other choice."
Dazai smirks, leaning closer to you.
"Oh? And what are you going to do exactly? You lost. Accept it-"
He shut you up with a kiss.
Your face flushes a deep red, but you don't miss the light red that coated his cheeks.
"You're blushing!" , you say.
"That's funny coming from you!"
"I'm not blushing, idiot.. "
Dazai pinches your cheeks.
"Aww.. is my baby embarrassed?"
You push his hand away, annoyed at his antics.
"Oh my, you really are embarrassed! How cute of-"
This time, you shut him up. With a kiss. A slightly more heated one.
He just stares at you with wide eyes, a deep red tint on his face.
You smirk at him, proudly announcing your win.
You two continued bickering, until a nurse had forcefully shoved Dazai out, as he wasn't letting you take rest.

The Boy in the Tea Shop
Chapter 1
Pairing: Zuko x Reader
TW: none that i can note
summary: You're living alone as a refugee in Ba Sing Se. Things all seem normal until you meet a boy in a tea shop.
notes: omg this took so long. this took way longer than I ever thought it would. I'm so sorry for the long wait again, y'all, but school has just been really overwhelming, not to mention my mental health hasn't been the best. Anyways, it felt good to get this done finally! This is the first chapter of a Zuko x Reader series I will be doing centered around Zuko's arch in Ba Sing Se. I'm really looking forward to this! Now, this chapter is unedited and I'll admit, not the best work I've done, but I tried my best and just wanted to get the first chapter awkwardness out of the way. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!
Edit: I forgot to mention that the reader uses she/they pronouns and has long enough hair to pull up. They are addressed as "miss" as well.

Being a refugee in Ba Sing Se was not easy.
The Dai Li were around every corner, as well as thieves and swindlers, and so many other people around you were struggling to get by. You weren’t allowed to mention the very war that brought you to Ba Sing Se, and as a consequence of that, it was hard to find anyone who might’ve known your family and would be willing to help you out.
Your parents had sacrificed a lot to make sure you got to Ba Sing Se, feeling you’d be much safer there than back home in your small village, one that was right in the path of invading Fire Nation troops. The trip was long and hard, and now that you were there, it didn’t seem very worth it. You had very little money, knew no one, and felt suffocated by the “culture” that was enforced on everyone.
You sighed, closing and locking the door to the pottery shop. You had gotten a job there weeks ago, and though the pay wasn’t a lot, the owner was incredibly kind and you actually enjoyed working there. It paid enough for living expenses and basic necessities, which is what mattered. Today, however, you were given a small bonus, as you had sold a very valuable piece to a very important customer and actually managed to convince them to pre-order two more. Your boss was very impressed and rewarded you with some money to spend on something special.
You didn’t have much in mind. There wasn’t a lot going on in the Lower Ring. The best you could do for now, besides looking around for something to do, was keep your money out of plain sight. There were just too many thieves around this area to risk it.
A short grumble came from your stomach, reminding you that you hadn’t eaten since earlier that morning. There weren’t many good restaurants around here, though, as all of those were up in the Middle Ring. However, all of the monorails were closed and it would be a nightmare to try and walk all the way up there. It seemed that the only option you had for now was a tea shop, as those were more easily accessible in the Lower Ring. One that came to mind was the Pao Family Tea House. You had heard from your employer that they had just recently hired new staff, and that the tea, which was mediocre at best before, was now the best in Ba Sing Se. You were sure that was a stretch, but it couldn’t hurt to try, could it?
You opened the door to the tea shop, looking up at the customers sitting around at each table. Most were guards and workers from around the city, probably because, like you, they were all off from their work shifts. They all seemed to be enjoying the tea they ordered, which gave you a little bit of hope that maybe you hadn’t decided to waste your time and money on something you wouldn’t enjoy. You took a seat at the only empty table left and looked at a small menu that was to the side, trying to pick out something you’d like but also could afford.
Thankfully, everything on the menu was in an affordable range. That came to no surprise, considering the quality and location of the tea house. They only had three different teas you could order and a few snacks you could order as sides. No matter what you ordered, it probably wouldn’t be enough to completely satisfy your hunger. You probably had something else back at the apartment, though. You’d worry about it when you got there.
The most appealing thing on the menu to you at that moment was the jasmine tea. Jasmine tea wasn’t something you had very often. Your mother only made it on special occasions, as it was hard to get jasmine tea leaves where you lived. Of course, being a large city, Ba Sing Se had plenty of it, meaning that what used to be a delicacy to you could now be found everywhere. Still, you limited yourself to only having it once in a while, that way it still felt rewarding whenever you ordered it. Along with the tea, you picked out the largest snack they had: a plate of cakes, just to make sure you wouldn’t be starving later.
You put the menu to the side, looking up to see a waiter walking towards your table.
A cute waiter.
A cute waiter your age.
He was tall; that was the first thing you noticed about him. The second was his scar. He had a scar that covered his right eye, one that was clearly caused by a burn of some kind. It wasn’t pleasant (in your eyes, no scars were), but it didn’t mean you found it ugly. Everyone in the Lower Ring had scars of some kind, some visible and some not. It wasn’t any of your business to judge him by that.
The third thing you noticed were his eyes. They were what you could only describe as a mix of brown and amber, something you couldn’t say you had ever seen before.
You felt yourself beginning to blush a bit, knowing you did not look your absolute best from having to work all day. It didn’t help that you probably had bags under your eyes. You didn’t exactly live in the safest part of town, and more often than not you found yourself lying awake, paranoid about what might happen if you dozed off for even a second. If it wasn’t paranoia, it was the vivid nightmares that had plagued your mind about the Fire Nation ever since you left home.
The boy stopped in front of your table, pulling out a pen and notepad from his apron pocket. “Hello, welcome to the Pao Family Tea House. What would you like?” His voice was hoarse and raspy. You could hear a mix of boredom and weariness ring through his words. It was something you heard in your own words all the time, especially at work. You managed a small smile and looked at the menu to refresh your mind of your order.
“Can I get a cup of jasmine tea and a small plate of cakes?” you asked, looking up at him. He looked down at you and paused for a moment, seeming to examine you just for a short second before nodding. He walked back to the counter, placing the order in front of an older man who was holding a teapot and chatting with whom you could only assume was the manager.
You sighed, looking back down at the table in thought. The waiter was intriguing, but you didn’t have the confidence to push past just ordering food. You didn’t know him and he didn’t know you. There was no point in trying to become anything more than strangers.
Then again, it couldn’t hurt to be friendly.
You soon saw the waiter walking back to your table, a cup of tea on his tray. He placed it down on your table, an unreadable expression on his face.
“Thank you,” you said, lifting the cup and breathing in the steam that came from the tea. It smelled delicious, which isn’t something you could normally say about tea in the Lower Ring. You smiled up at him. “Did you make the tea yourself?”
The waiter looked unsure of what to say. Either what you had just said was incredibly stupid or you were one of the first customers to say anything to him, and for your dignity’s sake, you hoped it was the latter.
“Um, no. My uncle made it.”
You looked over his shoulder, spotting a surprisingly recognizable older man with a teapot in his hands, chatting with one of the guards as he served their tea.
“Is he your uncle?” you asked, nodding to the man. The waiter looked over and nodded. You chuckled, recalling your encounter with the man.
“I recognize him, actually. He came into the shop I work at a few weeks ago and bought a vase.”
The waiter looked back at you, a slightly curious look coming across his features. You went on, smiling softly.
“He was very friendly. He flirted with my boss a bit, and even managed to leave a tip, despite mentioning he was a refugee.”
The waiter huffed a bit, his eyes trailing to the floor. “Yeah, that sounds like him.”
It was silent for a moment, as you studied the features of the waiter some more. It occured to you that since his uncle was a refugee, that probably meant the boy was, and he didn’t seem to be all that proud of it. You couldn’t blame him. The Lower Ring was not a place you were fond of either, and the title “refugee” didn’t warrant many perks around here.
“I’m actually a refugee, too.” You said. The boy looked back up at you, his expression unreadable yet again. You looked down into your tea. “I came to Ba Sing Se a few months ago. Can’t say I’ve enjoyed it much, but it’s not all that bad.”
It was silent for a bit. The longer the silence stretched on, the less and less you wanted to make eye contact again. This was incredibly awkward. You found this to be the perfect time to take a sip of your tea, hoping it would act as an excuse as to why you weren’t talking
“What’s your name?” you asked, looking up at him again. A soft smile graced your features, the slightest hint of curiosity stirring in your eyes.
He took a moment to zone back in before speaking. “Lee. My uncle’s name is Mushi.”
You grinned, giving him yours. “It’s nice to meet you, Lee. Please give my compliments to your uncle, by the way. I’m sure you two get this a lot, but this tea is the best I’ve had in years.”
“Yeah, we do,” he said, rather bluntly at first. You were worried you might have annoyed him for a second, but instead, he smiled. “I’ll be sure to tell him that.”
Speaking of the man, Mushi was just beside the table, a plate of cakes in his hand.
“Tell me what?” he asked, a smile
You looked over at his uncle, giving him a bright smile.
“Just how delicious this tea is,” you mused. “I think it might genuinely be the best in Ba Sing Se.”
“Well,” Mushi beamed, placing the plate on the table. “The secret ingredient is love.” He sent a knowing look to Lee, who scrunched up his face at his uncle’s comments. Mushi chuckled, walking to another table to check on one of the customers. Lee sighed, whether in exasperation or relief you couldn’t tell He looked towards you again.
“I probably need to get back to work.”
You nodded. “I understand. Thank you for the tea.”
Lee turned away, going to the back of the shop to clear some tables. Your eyes followed him along the way. You hoped you left the right impression. He didn’t seem to be completely annoyed by you and you were sure his uncle liked you. That’s a start.
You let your thoughts drift away, still looking over at him, only to snap back when he looked up at you and made eye contact. . His cheeks became just the faintest shade of pink, and he immediately looked back down. You did the same, your cheeks becoming warm as you smiled. That blush had to mean something good.
For a moment, things in the tea shop were peaceful. You were enjoying yourself, feeling confident in what you chose to spend your bonus on. Lee had a subtle smile on his face, clearing off a now empty table. Mushi was chatting up the customers, discussing tea and using his charm up on the locals. Everything was fine, at least as fine as it could be.
And then the door slammed open.
“I’m tired of waiting!”
All eyes in the room were now locked on the newcomer, the one who shouted; he was another boy your age, but he seemed to be the polar opposite to Lee. His skin was darker and much more tan, with his hair long and scruffy. He didn’t seem happy to be there. He lifted his hand, pointing all the way to the back of the shop at Lee and Mushi, who both looked very confused.
“These two men are firebenders!”
The stranger unsheathed two swords from his sides, stepping forward in a fighting stance. You immediately stood up from your table, spilling the cup of tea over, and cowered into the wall, wanting to keep a safe distance between you and the boy. The other patrons stood as well. In the other corner of the room, a man held his arms up in front of his date, guarding her just in case anything went south. Two men that had been visiting were now looking at the man with wide eyes and worried faces.
The air around you became tense, fear and confusion clouding your head. Your eyes went back to the men in question. They both looked at each other; they both looked just as confused, their eyes raised in shock. Did they even know this man?
Your left hand drifted to your side, wondering if you had remembered to bring a dagger with you. Unfortunately, like almost every day, you had forgotten. If you made it out of this unscathed, you’d never make that mistake again.
All was silent. Everyone was probably thinking the same things you were. Who was this man? Why did he think Lee and Mushi were firebenders? How am I going to leave if he’s blocking the only exit? Your attention was locked on him, waiting to see what his next move was.
The stranger at the door began to speak again.
“I know they’re firebenders! I saw the old man heating his tea!”
Your brow quirked slightly at that. This was a tea shop. Of course he would be heating some tea.
Apparently you weren’t the only one that thought this, as one of the guards responded making the same point.
The boy looked at the guard. “He’s a firebender, I’m telling you!”
His swords swung up fast, causing you to flinch slightly. The room was getting nervous, and the two guards at the table stood.
“Put your swords down, boy. Nice and easy.”
The man ignored them, turning back to Lee and Mushi, holding up his swords in an “X” shape. He slowly began to approach, speaking with a shake in his voice. “You’ll have to defend yourselves… then everyone will know.”
You weren’t liking the way this was going. The guards didn’t cause the boy to back down at all, only seeming to provoke him even further.
It occurred to you that you could just leave now. He was no longer blocking the door, and it wouldn’t take much effort to just slip away into the night. But you couldn’t. You weren’t sure why, but you couldn’t. Maybe you were curious to see how it all played out. Maybe you were just too scared to try and make a move like that yet. Maybe you were just worried about everyone else’s safety.
You couldn’t tell and it wasn’t that important anyways. You weren’t going anywhere.
“Go ahead,” the boy with swords began to taunt, looking directly at the two of them. “Show them what you can do.”
It was a dare. A jab at their pride. You could tell by the mocking tone that laced the boy’s words. He was confident they were going to use their bending, so confident that it bordered on cocky. By now, he had gotten so close to the two, that the guard began to unsheathe his own swords. Things were going to get ugly. Maybe now was a good time to reconsider that running option.
You heard other footsteps, your train of thought breaking as you realized Lee was stepping forward, a glare on his face.
“You want a show?” he asked, unsheathing the guard’s swords for himself. “I’ll give you a show!”
He pulled the swords apart from each other, entering a fighting stance that didn’t look like anything a tea shop worker would know. His leg stuck out to the side, hooking on the leg of a table and pulling it in front of him. He kicked it, sending it flying towards the stranger.
The stranger didn’t hesitate, flipping over it and slicing it so hard that the table sliced in half, with stray pieces of wood flying across the room. You felt a chunk of wood smack you in the face, slicing your cheek as you winced. You cupped it, feeling blood begin to warm your fingers as it dripped from the cut.
The clashing of swords diverted your attention back to the fight. Lee expertly avoided the boy’s attack, jumping onto the table previously occupied by the guards. Before he could counter his next move, though, the boy sliced through that table too, the wood once again cutting perfectly in half. Lee stumbled, the boy cutting away at each side even more, aiming at his legs. Lee jumped expertly in the air, dodging the boy’s attacks.
You had made very few assumptions about Lee and already felt you had severely underestimated him.
In a quick blur of a moment, the boy had somehow managed to kick Lee back so hard that it broke down the door. You and the rest of the people inside the tea shop rushed to the front, trying to see how things were escalating. Mushi was at the door, most likely worried about the safety of his nephew as the fight stretched on.
The stranger was gaining a slight upper hand, taking advantage of Lee’s disoriented state after having smashed through the door. He swung down at him, his hooks being blocked last minute by Lee’s blades.
The stranger had a grin on his face. “You must be getting tired of using those swords.” He tilted his head, continuing with, “why don’t you go ahead and firebend at me?”
Once again, he was trying to provoke some kind of action out of Lee, trying to exhaust his efforts so that he’d be theoretically forced to firebend at him. It was crazy.
The fight went on, Lee retaliating as best he could. Mushi called out, addressing the stranger, “Please, son, you’re confused! You don’t know what you’re doing!”
His pleas were ignored, the fight continuing with even more vigor. They backed down the street, getting closer and closer to a large square surrounding a well. Mushi began to walk out of the doorway, following the two men as they fought. The rest of the patrons weren’t far behind, some worrying for the safety of the two and others, such as the guards, keeping an eye out for when they’d need to intervene. Your eyes were still glued on Lee, your feet unconsciously moving you along towards him. The strange boy began to taunt Lee once more, this time bringing Mushi into the mix.
“Bet you wish he helped you out with a little fire blast right now!”
He hooked one of his swords on the other, spinning and swinging the swords around like whips. Lee backed away, slamming one of his own swords through the handle of the stranger’s.
“You’re the one who needs help!” Lee yelled, pulling back his swords in a defensive position as the boy recovered, about the swing again. Lee was one step ahead, swinging at the young man’s neck. The young man threw his head back, the sword swiping just above his head, so quick and so clean that a blue streak sparked as it sliced the grass he held between his teeth.
The boy arched forward, flipping back and landing on the edge of the well. He called out to the crowd that had gathered to watch the fight progress.
“You see that? The Fire Nation is trying to silence me!” He looked around at the crowd, the people all staring up at him in confusion. He then turned back to Lee, his eyes narrowing into a glare. “It’ll never happen.”
He reached back and hooked his sword on the wooden bar, swinging back and jumping forward at Lee.
You weren’t sure how much more of this you could take. Neither Lee nor the stranger seemed tired out enough to give the other a good chance at victory, and nobody, not even the guards, was attempting to interfere. Your cheek was beginning to really bother you and you knew that if you didn’t get home soon, you’d most likely wake up late for work tomorrow.
“Mushi, is Lee going to be alright?” you asked, your hands holding your sides. Mushi looked back at you and gave you a reassuring smile.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure my nephew will be alright.” He turned back to the fight, his smile faltering a bit. “It’s the other young man that I’m worried about. Lee is not one to back down easily.”
You looked up at Lee again, watching him strategically block each attack made by the stranger. You huffed, beginning to back away, until you saw the crowd to begin to disperse.
“Drop your weapons!” a stern voice called out.
The Dai Li had finally made their appearance.
The boys slow down their fighting, backing away from each other. Neither of them took their eyes off the other, swords still held out defensively, just in case anything else escalated. The stranger spoke first.
“Arrest them!” he called out. “They’re firebenders.”
Mushi was quick to respond, his voice relaxed as he said, “this poor boy is confused. We’re just simple refugees.”
You looked one of the Dai Li agents in the eye and nodded, hoping it would help to have someone agree. Others apparently had the same idea, as the manager came to their defense as well.
“This young man wrecked my tea shop and assaulted my employees!” He pointed over at you, more specifically the cut on your cheek. “He even injured one of my customers!”
The guards that Lee got his swords from nodded. “It’s true, sir. We saw the whole thing. This crazy kid attacked the finest teamaker in the city.”
Mushi awed, blushing.
“That’s very sweet.”
The Dai Li agents walked up to the stranger, one on each side of him.
“Come with us son.”
The boy gritted his teeth, quickly swinging the sword in his right hand behind him to strike the Dai Li, only for it to land right in the palm of one. The agent twisted his arm back, the other helping to restrain him with their gloves made of Earth. Once they were sure he was unable to break free, they began to drag him back, the crowd dispersing and revealing a detainment cart. You couldn’t help but feel bad for the young man. You hadn’t ever heard anything good about the Dai Li. People who were taken into their custody either never came back or never came back the same. It was why you wanted to avoid them as much as possible, as detainment rates were especially high among refugees, at least from what you had heard.
You watched as the boy looked around desperately. “You don’t understand, they’re Fire Nation! You have to believe me!”
The crowd and you could only watch in silence as he was pulled into the cart, the back doors shutting on him. By now, most of the crowd was dispersing, none paying any particular attention to the boy anymore. You squeezed your sides, frowning, wondering what would come of the boy.
Mushi sighed, shaking his head and turning towards you. “Are you alright, Miss?
You glanced up, giving him a soft smile. “I’m fine, thank you. Do you remember how much my order was?”
“Please,” you heard behind you. You looked over your shoulder to see the manager of the tea shop there, smiling sympathetically. “The tea is free of charge. Consider it an apology for all of the ruckus.”
You shook your head, blushing slightly. “Thank you, that’s very kind, but tables are not cheap to replace.” You pulled out half of the cash you had brought that night and handed it to him with a smile. “If you need to replace any of your dishes, feel free to visit Miss Kang’s Pottery Shop. I can make sure you receive a discount.”
He nodded and wished you a good night, walking into the shop to inspect the damage. Mushi followed, leaving you by yourself. Well, not completely anyway.
You looked back at where Lee had been fighting, watching Lee hand back the swords to the guards he had taken them from.
“You’ve got some serious skill, son. You should consider applying to the police academy, you could seriously make a difference.”
Lee didn’t go as far as to smile, but he did nod and give a small thank you. The guards waved goodbye, and Lee began to walk back to the shop, his mind clearly somewhere else. You watched him come up to you, deciding to talk to him again.
“Are you alright? That fight was… pretty intense.”
He began to focus again, looking at you. “I’m alright, just a little worn out.”
You smiled, a wave of relief washing over you. “That’s good.”
He nodded. “Actually, you seem like you got more hurt than I did. Is that cut okay?”
You blushed, placing a hand over your cheek, feeling the dry blood that had stuck to your face. “Yeah. It stings a bit, but I’ve got some stuff at home that should help.”
“That’s… that’s good,” he said a bit awkwardly. You chuckled softly, walking over to his side so you could go inside with him.
When you got inside, the manager and Mushi immediately stopped the two of you.
“Hold on you two,” the manager began.
“Young lady, considering all of the ruckus that has taken place tonight, I was wondering if you’d mind letting Lee escort you home,” Mushi asked, a considerate look on his face.
Your eyes widened, your jaw dropping slightly as you began to blush. You didn’t want to force Lee into any kind of position like that, especially since you had literally met less than an hour ago.
“W-well I… I’m not sure if that would be necessary, sir, especially since you might need Lee to help clean up the shop,” you stammered, looking over at Lee who was equally confused and uncertain about this.
“No, no, I insist. Lee would have no problem walking such a kind girl to her home, especially after the night being so inconveniencing for you.”
You literally got scratched on the face, why was everyone acting like you had lost a limb?
A pink flush came over Lee’s face, his eyes looking anywhere but you as the manager and Mushi began to corner you both to the door.
“Please be careful, but be sure to take your time! The night is beautiful, no need to waste it!”
And with that, you both were shoved onto the path outside of the shop, the once busy street now completely empty except for the two of you. Your face was hot and red, unable to look up from your feet below you. Lee was looking to the side, from what you could tell, and you had no idea what he was thinking. He was probably annoyed, angry even that he was now stuck with you. First, the crazy kid accused him of being a fire bender of all things and now his uncle and boss were making him babysit you.
He wasn’t looking at you, and he wasn’t moving either. Maybe you could just book it, give him an excuse to go back in and never go to the shop again. Maybe you could just disappear and he wouldn’t make you out to be a burden. Maybe you could just apologize and leave, then go home and forget this whole night had never happened. Perhaps that would be best.
A sigh leaving your companion’s lips quickly made that decision for you, though.
“So… where do you live?”
~
It had gotten really late. Most of the city was already asleep, with their lights off and windows shut. If it weren’t for the stars that hung up above, you probably wouldn't be able to see the path in front of you. You and Lee had been walking for quite some time now, not a word passing between the two of you. You took a breath, deciding that it was time you said something.
“You were very impressive in that fight back there.”
His eyes widened a bit as he looked over at you, probably surprised you had said something.
“Oh, um… thanks.”
“Where did you learn to do all of that?”
He shrugged.
“I’ve picked up a few things from my uncle.”
You smiled.
“Was he a guard where you used to live?”
He was silent for a moment, his eyes lost in thought.
“Sort of.”
You looked back down at the ground, not knowing where to take the conversation from there.
You sighed, your cheerful demeanor sinking. You stopped walking, holding your forehead with your hand and taking in a deep breath. Lee took a few more steps before he realized you had stopped. He turned towards you, his brow furrowing in confusion.
You looked up at him with tired eyes and began to speak. “I’m sorry. I don’t mean to be bothering you so much. I haven’t had anyone to talk to for a while now, I guess I just got a bit ahead of myself.”
He took a minute to think before responding. “Do you not live with anyone?”
You shook your head, frowning slightly. “No. My family sent me away from our village by myself. It was urgent and they didn’t have enough money for all of us to come to Ba Sing Se.”
You blinked, looking at the path in front of you with a blank stare.
“I haven’t heard from them in months. I don’t even know if they’re still alive.”
You closed your eyes and took a deep, painful breath, beginning to walk again.
“Thank you for walking me this far. I can get home just fine from here.”
It was a moment before you heard his footsteps begin to pick up again behind you. Your face contorted into one of confusion, as suddenly Lee was by your side again. You opened your mouth to speak again, about to insist that he didn’t need to walk with you, but he beat you to it.
“I’m sorry,” he began, glancing at you out of the corner of his eye. “I’m not very good with people.”
You hummed, a small smile returning to your lips.
“It’s alright. I’m not exactly a people person, either. I shouldn’t have been so pushy with you in the first place.”
“You weren’t that pushy. At least compared to some people I’ve met.”
You chuckled, feeling a little less nervous being around him.
“Thank you. I’m glad I don’t come across that way,” you mused.
He nodded, and for the next few minutes, you both walked together in silence, with you guiding him down the paths you needed to take home and him being vigilant for any crooks that might’ve been hiding out somewhere. After a while, he brought up conversation again.
“How old are you, exactly?”
You shrugged. “I’m about fifteen. You?”
“Sixteen.”
“You look like you’d be older,” you said, though it came out the wrong way you meant it to. “Not in, like, a bad way, though! Like you just seem more mature, I guess.”
“Um, yeah, I could say the same about you.”
Right, you still looked exhausted. You sighed, reaching up to rub the back of your neck.
“Yeah, I don’t exactly look all that youthful right now. I haven’t slept much lately and work has just been really difficult.
His eyes widened as he began to stammer. “No, not like I think you look old or anything, you look plenty young! It’s just, you look like you could be sixteen or seventeen.”
You gave him a thankful smile, though it wasn’t all that genuine. “Thank you, but I’d have to disagree.”
He looked away from you, unsure of what to say next. You didn’t quite know what to say either, so you changed the subject.
“Hey, I’m sorry if this question bothers you, but did you know that young man that attacked you in the tea shop?”
“Why do you ask?”
You shrugged, feeling a bit stupid for asking. “Well, I don’t know. He just seemed to have recognized you from somewhere else.”
Lee sighed, fiddling with the string on his apron absentmindedly.
“Yeah. We came to Ba Sing Se on the same ferry. He told me about how the Fire Nation killed his parents and such. Then he saw my uncle buy a cup of tea from a vendor and I guess he just thought he firebended somehow.”
You frowned, feeling just a little bit bad about what happened to the boy.
“No wonder he was so dead set on attacking you. He’s probably traumatized.”
He huffed. “Yeah. Probably.”
Your mind kept going back to the young man being dragged back and thrown into the cart with the Dai Li, a knot beginning to form in your stomach. It didn’t seem like Lee knew the gravity of being put into the custody of the Dai Li and just how terrifying of a sentiment it was to you.
“I don’t take it you know much about the Dai Li, do you?” you asked, cautiously, as if anybody could be listening to you right now, as they actually very well could.
He looked over at you with narrowed eyes.
“My uncle has told me enough that I know not to mention the war, but other than that, I can’t say I do.”
You sighed, looking around you for any places someone could be hiding or listening.
“Whenever someone is taken by the Dai Li, they either don’t come back or they don’t come back the same. There have been cases where men who were in the Dai Li’s possession were released with no idea who their own families were. It’s really unsettling and it’s one of those things I hate about being a refugee here.”
He nodded. “I can see why. I don’t understand what the Earth Kingdom would have to gain from banning the mention of the war, though.”
“Neither do I, but it happens nonetheless.”
The conversation could’ve gone on for hours at that point, but by now, you had finally reached your quaint, little apartment. You stopped at the door and turned to him fully, folding your hands together and smiling.
“Well,” you said quietly, looking up at him with tired eyes. “Thank you for walking me home, Lee. It was really nice meeting you.”
He nodded. “It was nice meeting you, too. I’m sorry I didn’t give the best first impression.”
You giggled quietly, shaking your head. “It’s okay. I’m definitely going to be visiting the tea shop again soon, so I wouldn’t say you left a horrible impression on me.”
“I’m sure my uncle will be happy to hear that.”
you smiled, taking your key out of your pocket and unlocking your door. Lee took that as his cue to leave, turning away from you and beginning to walk down the road you both took. You opened your door just a little bit, glancing over your shoulder back at Lee. You puffed your cheeks out a bit as you left the door ajar, walking over to him and calling out his name.
He turned back to face you, his face blushing a soft pink when he realized how close you were. With that, you planted a soft kiss on his cheek, whispering a meek “goodbye” before running back into your house.
You slammed the door, your face hot and bright red as butterflies soared around your chest. You groaned, sliding down the door and hiding your face in your hands. You couldn’t tell if you felt more euphoric or embarrassed. Whatever, it didn’t matter right now. You’d leave the shame and embarrassment to your future self, as right now, you were exhausted and needed to go to bed.
What a way to end the day.

Blink In Sight
Part 2 of the Coops smut series, ft some Cap loving as requested! Credit for Coops/ Sweater Weather goes to @lumosinlove!
TW for blowjobs and more mid-sex laughter
Contrary to popular opinion, the kitchen was Remus’ favorite room in the house. It wasn’t even a room, technically—one little island separated it from the adjoining entryway and an empty doorway led to the main hall. The island was the perfect height for him to sit on and drown in kisses from his fiancé, too, which was just an added bonus.
“Are the sandwiches almost ready?” Sirius muttered against his mouth.
Remus leaned to the side to look over his shoulder at the stove and squinted in the light from the hanging bulbs after having his eyes closed for so long. Small wisps of steam curled around the pan’s lid. “Probably. You want to check?”
Sirius heaved a heavy sigh, but released his waist and grabbed the spatula from the countertop. He made a pleased noise when he flipped the sandwiches and Remus smiled to himself; he loved the little moments like this, sitting in a quiet kitchen together. “Ta-da!” Sirius presented the sandwiches with a flourish and nearly tipped them right out of the greased pan. “Oh, shit!”
“Do we need plates?” Remus asked even as he carefully took one out with his bare fingers. The buttered bread was hot, but he was brutally hungry and practically inhaled it. Between winning their game, the accompanying adrenaline rush, and (in James’ eloquent words) getting railed by his fiancé, it was a miracle he had lasted this long without food. “I love you.”
“Because I make grilled cheese?” Sirius asked around half a sandwich. When Remus nodded, he pumped his fist. ”Nailed it.”
“This might be the only thing you can cook, but it’s so fucking good. Can you make another one?”
“We’re out of bread.”
Remus’ shoulders slumped and he hopped down off the counter, wincing slightly at the dull ache in his legs. He had to start doing more squats for a variety of reasons, and tonight had only proved that. The blast of cold air from the fridge made him shiver as he sifted through Tupperware containers from previous dinners. “We’ve got leftover lasagna, some of my mom’s cake, and there might be some canned soup in the cupboards.”
“That’s it?”
“Well, I’m not really in the mood to cook.” Remus grabbed the lasagna pan and stuck it in the microwave while Sirius took two forks out of the drawer. “My lower back is killing me.”
“I must confess, I still believe,” Sirius sang under his breath. “Still buh-lieve.”
He turned to him with a wide smile. “When I’m not with you I lose my mind, give me a sign!”
“Hit me baby one more time!” they both shouted at the top of their lungs. I love you, Remus thought as the microwave pinged and Sirius took the pan out. I love you wildly. Do you know that?
“Sirius?”
“…yes?” Sirius looked mildly concerned at the sound of his actual name. Remus drummed his fingers on his hipbones and pressed him against the kitchen island, kissing him deeply for a few hertbeats. “Is that a request for round two?” He looked a little dazed—Remus kissed him once more, chaste and quick.
“Nope. I just love you a lot.” His mouth tasted like coconut and honey. “Are you wearing chapstick?”
“Uh-huh. Lips were dry from the cold air.” Sirius took another two seconds to collect himself before passing Remus a fork and scooting over to make room for him. “Tonight is supposed to be celebrating you, you know.”
“It is.” Remus knocked their hips together lightly. “Making you feel good makes me feel good, plus there’s the fact that you also scored two goals and led the team to victory, oh great captain of mine.”
The corners of Sirius’ eyes crinkled as he stuck a forkful of lasagna in his mouth. “Playing hockey with you might be my favorite thing ever, but this is a close second.”
“What, eating lasagna straight from the pan like responsible adults?”
“Yup. It’s so normal.”
Remus thought for a moment, tapping the base of his fork against his lips. Sirius was right—they did not lead very normal lives at all, and being able to come home after playing sports in front of thousands of people cheering their names was refreshing to say the least. “Yeah, it is. I like being normal with you.”
“I like being normal with you, too.”
They ate in comfortable silence, bumping elbows, shoulders, or forks every once in a while. It had been over a month since their engagement and Remus still felt his stomach flip every time Sirius’ ring caught the light just so. They had been through hell and back together, and he was looking forward to many, many more years of well-deserved peace. “We should start decorating for the holidays soon,” Remus mused.
“I don’t have any decorations.”
“Really?”
A faint pink flush spread across Sirius’ cheeks, and it wasn’t the sexy kind. “I didn’t really have anyone to put them up with before, so I just…never saw the point.”
Sometimes, Remus made the mistake of forgetting just how alone Sirius had been, and it always hit him like a Mac truck whenever a reminder popped up. “Well,” he said around the tightness in his throat. “We’re changing that. We’ll pick up a tree and I’ll teach you to make Christmas cookies and we’re getting some stockings for the mantle.”
“You want to do that?”
Remus set his fork down and nudged him gently with his shoulder. “As long as you do.”
“Could we invite your parents and Jules over for Christmas?” Sirius asked.
“I bet they’d love that.” Something caught his eye and he craned his neck to see further around the corner. “Is that…my shirt? Over there by the front door.”
“What?” Sirius’ deeply thoughtful look vanished and he followed Remus’ sightline, letting out a delighted laugh. “It is! Merde, that means mine is definitely still on the stairs.”
“Do we clean now or later?” Remus looked down at the empty lasagna pan and frowned. “I don’t really want to do the dishes.”
“Well…”
“Wait until tomorrow?”
“Wait until tomorrow.”
“Living room?”
“Living room!” Sirius grinned and Remus backed him down the hall, both of them stumbling a little over their own feet in the darkness. They had had the foresight to put away all the clean laundry, so there was plenty of free space for Remus to push him down into the couch and slide his fingers beneath the band of his sweatpants as he straddled him. When he leaned back to catch his breath, Sirius’ smile turned devious.
“What?”
“How’re your thighs doing?”
“My wh—Sirius.” Remus smacked him on the arm.
“Should we switch?”
“Oh, my god!”
“Can you stand up?”
“One time. One time and you’re giving me grief for it.”
“Are you sure you’re—” Sirius broke off into giggles as Remus began tickling his sides mercilessly. “I’m sorry!” he gasped. “I’m sorry, I take it back!”
“Really?”
“Yes!”
Remus crossed his arms and looked down at Sirius. “Hmm.”
Hope lit up his face. “Round two?”
“The puppy eyes are impossible to deny,” Remus said wryly as he made his way down Sirius’ body and plucked at his sweatpants.
“Re—”
“Do you want me to?” Remus asked.
“Well, yeah, but this is Loops appreciation night.”
He licked his lips and began pulling Sirius’ sweatpants down his thighs. “I promise I feel very appreciated. Can I please blow you now?”
“Absolutely, but it’s your turn after…” Sirius’ sentence trailed off as Remus pressed a series of openmouthed kisses down his half-hard shaft. “After, uh, this.”
He hummed his agreement and goosebumps broke out along Sirius’ thighs, spreading all the way up his chest and arms as well. Remus took his time; there was no rush, no competition, just pouring out his love for his fiancé in a way that happened to include taking his dick further and further into his mouth.
Strong, calloused dingers threaded into his hair as he sank down and short whimpers spurred him on. Remus swallowed and the hands tightened, which sent a wave of tingling warmth all the way to his toes. “Is that good?” Sirius panted above him. Judging from the fast-twitching muscles in his thigh and the slight strain in his voice, he was doing everything in his power to keep his legs steady for Remus.
“Very good,” Remus said, leaning his cheek against Sirius’ inner thigh and grinning. He rubbed the heels of his hands down Sirius’ legs and traced small circles in the dips of his ankles just the way he liked it, and Sirius arched his back. “Can I try that thing I did the other day?”
“Fuck yes.” Sirius’ answer was carried on the tail end of an incredulous huff and Remus placed a line of quick kisses up his inner thigh before sliding his mouth down over the tip and going until his eyes stung. God, he’s so hard, he thought as Sirius keened and pulled lightly on his hair again. He pressed the back of his tongue underneath the head of Sirius’ dick, making him shudder. “Re—sweetheart, I’m so close, move if you don’t want—”
Remus hollowed his cheeks abruptly and the salty liquid that had been leaking into his mouth was suddenly replaced by thick ropes of come; he swallowed as much as he could and carefully pulled off, stroking Sirius through the aftershocks before pulling his sweatpants up and straddling him once more.
“How are you real?” Sirius wondered aloud as he automatically reached out to smooth his hands from Remus’ hips to his knees. He looked like he had had an epiphany, like an angel had appeared and whispered some long-awaited secret to him. “We were talking about having your parents over for Christmas and then you just fucking…” he trailed off and shook his head as Remus wiped away some spit that had gathered on his lips. “You and your magic mouth.”
“It’s a talent that I can’t put on my resume,” Remus teased as Sirius flipped their positions. “I have to do something with it. Plus, you sound good.”
Vibrant red—the sexy kind, this time—highlighted Sirius’ cheeks and he rested his forehead on Remus’ stomach to hide his smile. “You’ll be the death of me.”
“Not yet. Maybe later, if you’re good.”
Sirius looked up and quirked an eyebrow. “Who’s the one with a praise kink, here?”
“You tell me,” Remus shot back playfully. His back muscles relaxed as Sirius ran a firm hand over the bulge in his sweats and he settled one arm over his head to make a little more room for his shoulders. Their couch was fantastic for cozy cuddles, but just slightly too narrow for them to comfortably lay flat without hanging over the edge a little.
His head tilted instinctively as Sirius pressed his mouth to his dick through the fabric, surrounding him in sticky heat that sent zaps of electricity up his spine. “You really are a Lion, aren’t you?” Sirius laughed when he traced Remus’ ribs.
“Hmm?”
“You purr.” Sirius propped himself on his elbows and tapped his sternum. “Right here, when you really get going, you start to hum a little bit. It’s cute.”
“Really?” In the midst of his internal crisis about just how long he had been doing that, Remus’ brain suddenly snapped back to the present as Sirius pressed his tongue to his slit and closed his mouth around the head. “Oh, fuck.”
His calves were settled over Sirius’ shoulders—when did they get there again?—and his eyes fell shut in pleasure before he could get a proper look at Sirius’ face. Unrelenting pressure enveloped his dick on all sides and a clever tongue flickered along the shaft as Sirius sucked him off in sure strokes. Most of his muscles were still sore from the game, but the extra burn was a welcome distraction that kept him from coming the second Sirius’ hand cupped his balls.
“You—you—unh.” Remus’ brain went foggy and he pressed his heels down on Sirius’ shoulder blades, urging him deeper. “Please.”
Sirius moved to hold his thighs down, which was probably for the best considering Remus wasn’t sure he was entirely in control of his limbs at the moment, and pulled off, moving to map out the veins on Remus’ dick with his lips and tongue. He shushed him softly at one point and Remus clenched his jaw around the whines that came out on nearly every breath.
He teetered on the edge for long enough that he only had a half-second of clarity to tap Sirius on the shoulder before he was dissolving into bliss. The sensation around his dick did not diminish until he jolted with sensitivity, and only then did he realize Sirius was peppering his face with small kisses. “Welcome back,” Sirius said, just smug enough that a thrill raced through Remus’ belly. “That was for your first goal.”
“I’ve still got one more to cash in, right?” He kissed him lightly and the salt on both their lips made his heart pound.
“Mhmm. Water first, then bedroom?”
Remus had no idea how he was going to manage another orgasm tonight, but the look in Sirius’ eye as he pulled him off the couch by his hands was plenty of incentive to at least give it a try.

(no) rest for the innocent
summary: Tony wasn’t even on trial, but the jury found him guilty and he couldn’t disagree.
a/n: idk last night i was thinking about tony dealing w survivor’s guilt after endgame (and IW) so i threw this together, tw for mention of death and implied thoughts of suicide
“Good evening, Doctor.” FRIDAY’s warm, pleasant voice always reminded Stephen of home and cinnamon scented candles. “How was your trip?”
“Too long for a meeting that could’ve been handled over email. Or through carrier pigeon, as Tony would say,” Stephen replied as his cloak sailed off down the hall.
He washed his hands carefully, drying them on an Iron Man dish towel that Peter had given them as a joke wedding gift before putting the kettle on.
As the water was boiling, he noticed a covered plate on the kitchen counter. There was an obnoxiously orange piece of paper in front of it, which made Stephen smile. Tony always left him little notes on purposefully electrifying paper, that way they were easy to find.
The sorcerer’s smile only widened as he read the note.
Steph—
I wasn’t sure when you’d be back, but I decided to make you dinner anyway. But not because I’m missing you and wanted to surprise you, I just accidentally cooked too much. You know how that happens sometimes and you just end up with an ungodly amount of chicken parm? Life’s funny like that.
Anyway, I’m in the lab. I had some good ideas earlier and I wanted to start them while I still felt productive. Welcome home sweetheart, and if you go to bed before I do (because you probably will, you responsible asshole you), sweet dreams and goodnight.
Love, Tones
PS— Orange you glad you met me? … don’t answer that, I just couldn’t help it and had to write that down.
Stephen rolled his eyes fondly. “Fri, will you tell Tony that even though he’s not funny, I’m very glad I met him?”
FRIDAY was quiet for a few moments before responding. “Boss says, quote, ‘fuck you Gandalf, I’m hilarious,’ unquote.”
Stephen smiled, heating up his meal before sitting down to eat. He flipped through a magazine while he ate, FRIDAY turning on some soft jazz music as background noise until Stephen cleaned up and left the kitchen. After a refreshing shower, the sorcerer found himself in his most comfortable pjs and slippers as he walked through the house. Stephen wasn’t sure if he was going to bed yet, but he wanted to see Tony (and maybe he wanted a kiss or two or even three).
The music in the lab automatically lowered when Stephen shut the door behind him, and Tony looked up with an expression that could only be described as tired.
Actually, he looked exhausted. Weary. Barely holding himself together. Stephen wasn’t a thesaurus, but very concerned about his husband.
Tony was trying to smile, but he seemed too exhausted to do that and just gave up, not saying anything as Stephen sat beside him.
“Hi.” Stephen leaned over and softly kissed his husband’s temple. “Thanks for cooking for me, you didn’t have to.”
Tony shrugged. “I had a lot of energy earlier, and I accidentally cooked way too much. Maybe it was intentional, you know I’d take any excuse to go out of my way for you.”
His words said one thing, but his tone betrayed him. His voice was brittle, hard, and almost staticky. Stephen thought he sounded like a rusted hinge that was trying not to cry out for repairs… or maybe that analogy only made sense given where they were.
Stephen kissed him again as Tony sat back at his desk, closing his well-used sketchbook. “You alright?”
“Yeah. Tired I guess.” Tony sounded as unconvinced as Stephen felt.
“Come to bed with me,” Stephen offered. “I’ll bore you to sleep by telling you about the meeting.”
Tony laughed hollowly. “That bad?”
“I don’t know how to describe it, but it was a waste of time. Even Wong was bored, and he watches the Antiques Roadshow remake for fun,” Stephen replied. He yawned and leaned against Tony’s side.
“I see what you’re doing,” Tony murmured, trying to be lighthearted. He was just feeling some kind of way right now, he felt serious and was so endeared by his husband that it hurt.
“What am I doing?” Stephen asked, resting his head on Tony’s shoulder.
“Being cute and sweet so I’ll go to bed and let you be the big spoon,” Tony accused. “And maybe I just really fucking need a hug, but… it’s working.”
Stephen shifted and pulled Tony into his arms, holding the mechanic close as he went lax.
“My Boss Is Singing Closing Time Protocol please, Fri,” Tony mumbled.
“Goodnight Boss, goodnight Doctor,” the AI replied, beginning to run the lab’s standard closing protocol.
“Portal?” Stephen asked. Tony was getting better with going through portals, but some days were harder than others. Stephen didn’t know what tonight would be like and opted to ask, selfishly wanting to make sure Tony got some rest as soon as possible.
He was so out of it by that point that Stephen wasn’t sure if Tony registered the question, but he nodded slowly and trusted Stephen to lead him through it and into their bed.
Despite “resembling a sloth clinging to a tree bough,” (Tony’s words) Stephen was intuitive and knew when not to hug Tony. Even when he was asleep, if Tony woke up thrashing or fighting against something in a dream, Stephen let him go.
Tonight was a bit different. Stephen wasn’t brought to the edge of reality by Tony thrashing in their bed or accidentally tangling himself in their sheets, so he assumed everything was fine. That was until the sorcerer hugged his husband closer, still mostly asleep and just following his instinct, and Tony outright begged Stephen to let go of him. He wasn’t quite awake, but Stephen backed off immediately and heard Tony trip over his own feet as he left the room. The sorcerer fell asleep again after that, trying to stop the sound of Tony’s broken plea from cementing itself in his memory. When Tony climbed back into bed some time later, Stephen was stirring a little bit more. Tony hid his face in Stephen’s collarbone and said nothing, his breathing still slightly erratic.
“Sorry if I woke you up,” he mumbled.
“Don’ be,” Stephen replied, his voice unsure whether or not to wake up.
“Will you hold me again?” Tony asked pleadingly, his voice almost imperceptible.
Stephen wordlessly obliged, kissing the top of his head. “Whatever’s bothering you… you can talk to me about it. When you’re ready. And you don’t have to, but I’m here for you.”
Tony nodded. “It feels like too much right now. What I’m thinking about, I mean. I need time to process, I guess.”
“Okay,” Stephen said simply. “But I’m here for you whenever.”
“I know. I love you,” Tony replied.
Stephen began to trace soothing patterns on Tony’s back. “Love you Tones.”
++++
Tony didn’t seem any more rested the next day, but his confident Tony Stark™ pose seemed natural. He’d easily be able to fool people who didn’t know him as well as his family did. So it was a “fake it until you make it” kind of day, and Tony’s energy was on a strict schedule. There was only so much he could take today, and if his teammates wanted to call him selfish then that was their choice.
It would just go in one ear and out the other, especially this late in the day and after brutal team training. Tony was close to skipping the meeting, but a cutting remark in the hallway made him change his mind. Why did they always act like it was breaking news when Tony needed to step back from something anyway? He was just as human as anyone else, and the world was happy to throw responsibilities on his unenhanced, steady shoulders just because he was a natural caretaker.
The arguments about Tony’s quiet, withdrawn demeanor started two minutes into the meeting. Stephen was ready to defend his husband as soon as they got to the conference room, Tony collapsing into a chair and leaning his head against the cool metal of the table.
He didn’t want to talk today, and Stephen didn’t want him to.
“It’s not nap time, Stark.” There was a small hint of fondness in Natasha’s cold, clipped voice.
Tony was already regretting his decision to show up, wishing he hadn’t told Stephen again and again that he was fine. He wasn’t, and they both knew it. Everyone knew it, but Tony knew better than to advocate for himself in front of his… colleagues.
“I don’t even remember what we’re meeting about,” Tony muttered, looking up enough to address whoever was talking to him.
Rhodey took a seat beside Tony, encouragingly patting his back. “You good?”
“I’m fine, Honeybear,” Tony replied. He was sitting between his two favorite people, and that helped him feel a little more grounded. “I just didn’t get a lot of sleep last night.”
Someone scoffed. “I don’t think anyone’s slept right in months. And don’t say you haven’t slept in years, Stark. We don’t need a story about how everything you’ve ever done has led to years of sleepless nights. We know already. Put it in a book or something and make the team more money so I can have better arrows.”
Stephen was two seconds away from dropping the archer into the Dark Dimension, or flipping a table. He wasn’t sure how to handle the man yet, still taken aback by the rudeness and stupidity of his comment. “Barton, what the fuck—”
“Steph, don’t bother with him,” Tony said. He stood up, forcing his tiredness into a corner and giving his coworkers a confident glare. “Pardon me for giving it my all and being a bit tired as a result. Now I’m going to get an ice pack for my shoulder and maybe a cup of coffee. Does anyone want anything?”
“I’ll take a—”
“Get it yourself, you know where the kitchen is.”
For dramatic effect (and moral support), the cloak landed on Tony’s shoulders and billowed out as he left the room. He returned with the aforementioned ice and coffee, and a mug of tea for Stephen.
“You didn’t have to do that sweetheart, but thank you,” Stephen said appreciatively.
“That’s why I wanted to,” Tony replied. He relaxed a little into his chair, starting to believe he could get through the meeting.
Then, like clockwork, Clint opened his mouth to complain.
“Why did you bring him tea and nothing for the rest of us?” He whined.
“Doesn’t Tony do enough for you?” Stephen asked, innocently taking a sip of his tea. It was his afternoon green tea, made exactly the way he liked it.
Tony was always so sweet and attentive with his loved ones, it warmed Stephen’s heart. The sorcerer stifled a laugh as Rhodey poured half of Tony’s coffee into his own empty mug.
“Thank you,” the colonel said impishly. “Consider the roommate tax paid for this month.”
Tony tried to smile at the old inside joke, but Stephen noticed that it fell flat.
“Are we done with the interruptions? We need to talk about what’s out there. We don’t know if Thanos is the exception or the rule, and—”
Tony stopped listening. Clint’s snootiness was doing his head in, but the idea of another threat, another thing, another colossus he’d have to conquer and survive if his luck had anything to say about it… that was the breaking point.
Tony didn’t have a good relationship with luck. He didn’t really believe in it, but apparently it believed in him. Because Tony was lucky. It was true that he was lucky in meeting his husband, his friends, and his family, but this was a different kind of luck. Tony was intelligent and skilled, shrewd and savvy, and there was virtually nothing he couldn’t do or solve, except for one thing.
He was constantly lucky, constantly cheating death.
And he didn’t realize that he was hyperventilating, didn’t recall dropping his head into his hands. He didn’t recall that he’d just walked out in the middle of the meeting after a minute, didn’t realize that he was home when he opened his eyes.
Tony was home, in his spot on the couch in Stephen’s library. Stephen was sitting beside him, quietly watching a documentary or something like that. Tony was laying down, his head in Stephen’s lap with the cloak draped over him like a blanket. The crimson fabric continued to cling to him as he sat up, further proving Tony’s point that Levi liked him best, but he wasn’t in the mood to banter now. He just appreciated the support and the warmth of his sorcerer and their shared, sentient blanket.
With some hesitancy, Tony leaned over and rested his head on Stephen’s shoulder. They locked eyes for a minute, Tony’s gaze deliriously bright and vacant.
Stephen didn’t know what to say or do to make the man trembling in his arms feel better, but started by hugging him closer and softly stroking up and down his spine.
“I’m sorry,” Tony whispered, lowering his head and hiding against Stephen’s chest.
“No apologies,” Stephen reminded him. “I don’t want or need them, and you don’t have to explain yourself.”
“I have to give a good reason,” Tony said, his voice beginning to shake. “Everything I do needs a reason.”
“Why? Says who?” Stephen asked. He was more thinking aloud, half expecting Tony to leave the question unanswered.
For a while, he did. He just sat, furiously trying to blink back tears and gather his thoughts as Stephen held him protectively.
“Sometimes I think about… things,” Tony began vaguely. “And people. And places. I guess I just like nouns.”
At this point, he didn’t even know if he was trying to deflect or just tell a joke, but his attempt at humor fell flat. He tried to force a laugh, but halfway through it turned into a painful sob. He cried harder with each breath, ignoring the ache in his chest. Tony barely listened when Stephen encouraged him to breathe, but eventually he gave into his exhaustion and listened to his lungs.
His stupid lungs, which apparently were just as stubborn as his brain.
“I can’t keep doing this,” Tony whispered. “I shouldn’t have survived Afghanistan, New York, Sokovia, Siberia, or Titan. I can’t keep cheating death, Stephen. I don’t want to. I don’t want to be lucky and survive when the damage I’ve caused, the damage I claim full responsibility for, has taken so many lives. I don’t want anyone else to get hurt or killed for me.”
Stephen pressed a soft kiss to his hair, feeling Tony’s guit and fatigue as if it was his own.
“I don’t want to do this,” Tony repeated. “I’m probably just spiraling or being needlessly selfish, but I… I don’t know.”
“You’re taking on too much responsibility where you don’t need to,” Stephen said. “I know that’s easy for me to just say from the outside, but you aren’t the only Avenger. It’s about time the team, if you can even call them that, takes accountability for their actions and stops bulldozing you with their problems. You aren’t selfish, Tones. You’re tired and overworked, and you deserve a break. You deserve to breathe, to just exist without feeling like you have to look over your shoulder or justify your every step.”
“I don’t think I know how to even do that anymore,” Tony replied. “And I don’t deserve it.”
“You do,” Stephen argued. “And rest assured I’ll keep telling you that. And I’ll keep telling you how much I love you, because I really do.”
Tony smiled sadly, trying to press himself closer to Stephen if that was even possible. “I love you too.”
He was starting to settle down, soothed by a flurry of soft kisses in his hair and the gentle brushes up and down his spine, when FRIDAY quietly spoke up. She almost sounded remorseful.
“Mister Parker is requesting one or both of you in the lab, whenever it’s convenient,” she began. “And he’s asked me to assure you that it’s nothing major.”
Tony sighed, sitting up again. “I’ll investigate.”
Stephen shook his head. “No, let me. I’ll tell Peter that you’re resting, and he’ll understand.”
“I don’t want him to think I don’t care,” Tony whispered.
“He would never think that. You know how he gets about making sure you take care of yourself, and Peter knows with certainty that you care about him. Our son is much more mature than the Avengers,” Stephen replied.
“I still feel bad,” Tony said.
“I know. I can promise him Thai food if that’ll make you feel better?” Stephen suggested, half jokingly.
“It actually would,” Tony admitted. “FRIDAY, will you schedule a Thai food delivery for 6:30pm please?”
“Scheduled,” she replied simpy. She still sounded apologetic for disturbing them right as Tony was falling asleep, but maybe Stephen imagined that.
The sorcerer stood up gracefully, covering Tony with another blanket as the cloak wrapped a bit tighter around him. “Look after yourself and relax, or get some sleep. No one’s expecting anything from you right now Tones, alright? I love you.”
Tony nodded, a little smile on his face as Stephen kissed him again. “Love you.”
He really wanted to sleep. He actually put effort into falling asleep, which was something he never thought he’d do, and of course sleep didn’t come easily. Sleep never came easily, but the memories did. It was all too easy for Tony to get caught in a thought stream, whether he was planning a surprise, inventing, or remembering unpleasantries. Today he was overwhelmed by guilt, readily convincing himself that he was a selfish failure like Howard Stark and his teammates liked to say. It was too easy to get lost in their ire and wanting to please everyone, and Tony had given up so much of his agency just to try and make other people happy.
It was exhausting, and he didn’t even feel like he’d succeeded at that.
The mechanic started tearing up again as he continued to think in a circular pattern, faintly aware of the Cloak trying to comfort him. It was a sweet, welcome gesture, and Tony let it happen and let himself cry. He was still laying there in tears when Stephen came back in half an hour later.
“Pete says he hopes you feel better,” Stephen said, returning to his spot and pulling Tony close. “And I told him to just go ahead and eat whenever he’s hungry, or when the food gets here.”
Tony just nodded, feeling relieved and supported in Stephen’s arms again. He nodded again, as if trying to shake the unending self-deprecating thoughts from his head, before saying anything. “Sounds good.”

okay lmao so this isn't an actual fic that'll ever be written but. i was talking to my friend about it who still hasn't finished dts season 3 unfortunately but it means that i've switched around ages and years etc. i promise this has the potential to be a fun and sexy time but there's just s o much background shit that needs to be discussed. tw for mentions of irl deaths etc:
but pierre & charles meeting when they're 5-6 (which is what i think charles actually says irl but someone said it might've been closer to when they were 10-11? regardless.) and charles' dad passes away when they're 9-10, and jules when they're 13-14 and charles quits racing then. (fyi i know that irl jules passed away first)
he thinks about quitting when his dad passes away but keeps going with help from jules. so when the accident etc happens, it's not even like an active decision he ponders. he just knows there's no way he'll race again.
and pierre's been with him throughout everything, his best friend who he can talk to when he can't bear looking at his own family. so he doesn't understand when pierre tells him he's going to keep racing. when charles had told him he was never going to get into a kart ever again, pierre had nodded, grabbed his hand and squeezed it tight. important to note that they're barely teenagers rn so yes charles feels betrayed that pierre isn't feeling the same things he is and isn't choosing the same future for himself etc.
they have a huge fight, lots of crying, lots of dramatic teenage angst. but it ultimately ends with charles shutting pierre out of his life. which is easier said than done when it's your best friend whose family is super close with yours. but it works because pierre is off racing around the world and charles has done all he can to never have to think about that stuff.
so charles goes to school, is doing uni somewhere in europe. studies something generic like business or maybe if i'm feeling suuuuper indulgent i will have him major in environmental studies like moi <3 pointedly does not come to monaco during grand prix weekend or the week before or the week after.
and then anthoine passes away too. (they're 20-21 now)
they see each other again at the funeral but don't talk, they meet up afterwards. pierre breaking down in charles' arms, clutching at his back, telling him he was right. pierre should've quit, he can't do this anymore either. they haven't said a word to each other in 7 years but charles still knows pierre, and knows that this isn't actually what pierre wants. or what he should do. (charles vaguely knows pierre's in f1 but doesn't know he's with redbull, doesn't know redbull's the top team etc)
"you can still do this, you will," charles tells him.
"not without you again."
so then comes the challenge of mending their relationship while still working through the shared trauma, and the Layers of past trauma. and also just the general awkwardness that comes with a friendship breakup/makeup situation you know! they can't just act like nothing happened but would it be easier that way?
they start texting first, then they play fifa or cod together. (sometimes pierre's british friend lewis joins too.)
slowly slowly slowly, they become friends again and then inseparable too. maybe even closer than they were before and charles only now realizes how much he missed pierre. while pierre still can't believe he has charles back now, it's as good as he let himself imagine.
the part i'm unsure about is if i would want pierre's career trajectory to be the same or not. because i think the demotion adds SUCH a painful but interesting aspect to his ~storyline. but ultimately i think maybe he just doesn't get the second seat immediately. spends more years with toro rosso/alpha tauri before getting "called up" (sorry i have no idea what the proper terminology is haha ignore the nba/nhl terms).
he invites charles to his first race in the red bull and charles says no. immediately. pierre's quiet on the other side of the phone, internally thinking he messed this up somehow. he thought things were going well and he takes this as charles doesn't want to see him. but he knows there's a lot more that's stopping charles and he also knows charles will definitely pull back if pierre asks about the other stuff. so he moves right along, asking charles about school, the weather, and tries not to let it show in his voice that he misses his best friend and needs him too.
"i'm going to try to watch," charles says, after pierre's yawned goodnight through the phone and is waiting for him to hang up. because you know pierre's not going to hang up first.
"what?"
"the race. i'm going to try. goodnight!" mentally charles slams the phone shut but really he just smashes at the red button before shoving it under his bed and looking at his hands trying to get answers for what he just did.
his only relief is that he didn't promise pierre he would watch, just that he would try. couldn't even choke out a, "good luck." (insert long paragraph about charles letting pierre down or thinking he has).
he only watches qualifying. pierre p3. already knows on saturday that there's no way he can watch the actual race.
but on sunday when he's supposed to be going over his notes for his climate change science & policy course (yes.... i did it...) he finds himself with his heart in his mouth refreshing formula1 dot com. watches the random names move up and down while keeping his eyes on 10 - gasly. (starts shaking for a second when he sees pierre's name drop until the IN PIT sign comes up across his name. fellas the thing about triggers is-- anyways.)
the scariest part is that by the time he's scrolled through all of red bull's socials to look at pictures of pierre on the podium (he finished p2 sorry i know this truly does not matter), he's forgotten about the race. the anxiety sits small in the back of his throat, his happiness for pierre is bright and loud in front of him. charles sends him a message, asking him to call whenever he can and adds a blue & red heart emoji which feels like a Big Step. but basically pierre calls and acts like nothing has happened since the last time they talked. mentions the breakfast he had in detail as if he didn’t get a podium in his first race with red bull. finally with a big team. but charles embarrassingly realizes that maybe his text didn't exactly imply in literally any way whatsoever that he knows the results of the race and was trying to congratulate pierre with this call. charles probably feels so embarrassed at this point but somehow still can't manage to say anything about the race until the next day maybe.
maybe texts pierre, good job. or, you were great. or something about him and not the race. or maybe reposts a picture from red bull but not one of pierre in his car, pointedly. only one of him on the podium. and pierre probably reposts it with the squid emoji and/or my favourite sentence in the world, merci petit calamaro.
charles cries when he reads it.
not to be lazy now but [insert 10k words of them building their friendship. meeting up in monaco with both of their families. meeting in milan or london or paris idk where pierre would live. but he flies charles out. not on a private jet because charles flat out refused lol. not because he's an environmentally conscious king he's just too, embarrassed? overwhelmed? by pierre doing Things Like That for him. even though he wants it lol. like when he graduates he's soooo annoyed that pierre couldn't come celebrate immediately because it was race week. but when he comes home his apartment is filled with flowers (roses, his favourite) and balloons and a giant teddy bear as tall as charles. and he DOES post 12 instagram stories to go with the other 30 from his other friends congratulating him. so yeah charles goes through a lot of personal growth and therapy. to the point where he's watching pierre race again, and waiting for him to invite him to a race again!!! do not even think about actual dates i'm fucking begging you but the one he goes to is monza :))))]
ultimately charles' path to understand/accepting/moving on from, his trauma, happens once he has pierre back in his life. it's also encouraged by pierre, but it's also not entirely because of him. not sure how to word that but yeah. these things are happening at the same time but charles still has to go through them by himself.
pierre takes him on romantic dates all around the world and charles doesn't realize that's what they are. fully in his bestie vibes only mood while pining for pierre in a way he doesn't even quite understand. almost a self deprecating, jeez whoever gets to date pierre is going to be so lucky :/
fanpage on ig: met pierre's alleged bf he's so pretty and sweet, i complimented his shoes and he was so nice. charles reading that: i didnt know he was dating someone :( why wouldn't he tell me :( well at least someone complimented my shoes today :(
pierre doesn't necessarily think they're dating, but he does know charles doesn't quite realize what they're doing so he's just waiting for him to come to terms with it.
not to give this au 10 different subplots but yeah that miscommunication plot becomes our prize for surviving through the first part of this.
but yeah at the last race of the year, that pierre wins because i said so? charles finds him before he goes on to the podium, kisses his helmet. says i love you, i'm so proud of you.
THEN, finally, charles does become pierre's wag. we made it kids. we did it joe.

Gym...Date Raian x Reader
TW: 18+ MINORS DO NOT ENTER
Semi-public sex, Rough- (but is anyone surprised-) Scent kink, spit kink - hes just nasty and we love him for it.
It wasnt often when you would accompany Raian to workout, but today you felt a spark that you needed to. You did skip a few workout days yourself and its been awhile since you felt that satisfying soreness post workout. You and Raian both had a love for working out and thusly transformed your own gym in one of the downstairs rooms. Throwing your phone on the bed you quickly changed into some short and a sports bra and went down to meet him. When you got there Raian was already starting his routine so you decided to start on your warm ups seeing how he didnt wait for you. Simple stretches is what you decided to begin with before some cardio.
Your eyes glanced to where Raian was, he looked so focus while he worked out. It was a side to him you hardly saw and it was actually quite refreshing. He seemed so in tuned with every raise of the dumbbell, releasing air whenever it went back down. He truly loved the sport he did, regardless of how dangerous it was. Well he might be more dangerous than the sport itself. You found yourself giggling to yourself, which caught his attention. His eyes met with yours, he smirked, knowing well you were staring at him for some time, causing you to almost choke on your own spit.
You quickly turned and continued on with your stretches. Slowly raising your hands above your head you stretch and then just as slowly bend over to touch your toes. You repeated that process until you heard a heavy object fall to the ground. You paused mid stretch to look back and saw Raian picking up the dumb bell he apparently let dropped. You stare at him confused.
"H-how did you manage to-"
"Shit happens OK!"
".....ok..." After dragging your eyes from him for at least a minute you finally get into your routine. This one was by far one of the hardest ones you could have picked. It literally worked out your arm, legs, back, glutes and thighs. You finally had a 2 minute break and you so happen to meet eyes with Raians again. He looked done with his routine so he was just sitting on the bench motioning for you to come over by him. "..huh?...but im not don-"
He raised an eyebrow .
"...Raian please...im almost done-"
"Y/N if I ask a third time you'll regret it"
With that you instantly go to his side. You go to sit next to him but he grabs your waist pulling you into his lap.
"Noooo im sweatyy"
"So"
"So?? I dont wanna-" your words got caught off, feeling something wet along your back.
"Just as i thought...you taste delicious" he said dragging another wipe across your arm now. He pinned you tightly against his lap and pulled you back even further. He then made his way to the crook of your neck, he kissed up your nape to the bottom of your ear. Slowly licking and nipping, licking and nipping at your wet skin
"R-raian...please...atleast let me...shower first"
His grip tightened as he growled into your ear.
"You see...ive been watching you all that time...ive been finished with my workout from long old time and i couldnt help but observe my little kitten busy with hers." He breathed in your ear. His breath was hot...hot and dripping in want and need. His voice also seemed to crack a bit which was a sign he was really...really ready to break...or well to break you.
"But...i...F-FUCK.." He slipped a hand between your leg. At this point you wasnt sure if it was sweat or arousal but your will to care was slowly leaving you. His thumb began running circles up and down your clothed folds, increasingly picking up speed as he continued.
"I bet this tastes even better huh?...you dont know how bad i wanted to bend you over this bench whiles you did your stretches...made it hard for me to concentrate on my own fucking exercise."
He bit down on your shoulder and then licked around it. "- but you knew what you was doing...right kitty? Thats why you wanted to come work out with me here"
"N-n...no..i..i didnt"
"Dont lie to me kitty...what other reason did you have then?" He made use of his other hand, grabbing both breasts at once and squeezing. He always knew the exact location of your nipple and wasted no time in kneading them.
".....i..i..just-HHHHNNNGG_i..."
"Speak up kitty...i cant understand a word you're saying" he smirked behind you. At this point his erection was more than visible and even more so notable as you sat on him. The heat alone coming from off of it was enough to make you whimper and try to ground down on him for some type of friction. ANYTHING!
He stilled his hand from between your legs and grabbed your head back by your hair. Skillfully wrapping them twice around his hand in once quick fluid motion of his wrist.
"Now now kitty, are you that fucking desperate for my cock? Tryna grind down this naughty ass on me like that...no no kitty...you gotta earn it first." You could only whimper and whine as his grip tightened in your hair.
You struggle to even swallow the spit accumulating in your mouth, yet right now only one thing was on your mind. "What color kitty?"
"..g-green..."
"Good girl" he smiled before crashing his lips into yours. It took little to no time for you to allow him into your mouth. His tongue quickly taking over your senses as he literally kissed you breathless. His hand flew down into your shorts and swiped up your folds before parting them, causing you to break the kiss. He took advantage of this moment by quickly removing his fingers and placed two of his large digits into your gapping mouth. "Suck it clean kitty...and then i'll clean up the rest downstairs"
The moan you let out around his fingers was by far the most shameful thing you ever heard but then again you didnt care much. You notice the way his eyes closed as soon as he felt your tongue wrap around his fingers. The wet lapping motion you did with his tongue was enough to drag out a throaty moan from him which even caused him twitch.
"FUCK...you're so good with that tongue kitty...so..so fucking good" he pulled and pushed his fingers in your mouth, basically face fucking you with his hands. At the last pull you sucked on his fingers and did a small bite as he popped out of your mouth. When he opened his eyes all you saw staring back at you was dark black irises. Oh shit. Without a word he lifted you up and threw you over his shoulder and started off towards the stairs.
"You caused this on your self kitty" he said smacking your already sore ass.
"I just wanted to work out...its been so long since i was sore from a workout"
"If you wanted to be sore from a workout....you only needed to ask...i'll make sure you're fucking sore alright. Really fucking sore"

Someone messaged me for a Part 2, so here you go guys! Hope you like it too <3 @iis4d @choryczynormalny @saeranoppa
Angst Drabble - Part 2
tw: cursing hihi
It's been a month since that happened and it's been a month since you avoided him. A lot of people wondered what the hell happened to the both of you. People saw you and Iwaizumi as inseparable.. Why? because where ever he goes, you were there and where ever you go, he was there.
The both of you supported each other, always.. if Iwaizumi has a volleyball match, and as a former Ace of Seijoh, he's exceptionally famous and it means so many fans, right? But you always stood out as his #1 fan! Sometimes, if you were too busy studying, he definitely knows that you have a habit of skipping your meals and too stressed to even care, even though he's busy with the practices, he will always make sure to bring your favorite foods & that matcha frappucino from Starbucks.. Once in a while, there were times that Iwaizumi ends up cooking for your meal, with him eyeing you to finish it and that session always ended up with you being asleep beside him at your favorite couch inside your room.
So... What happened?
A rare night.. that same day where Iwaizumi knows he fucked up.
Issei Matsukawa, Takahiro Hanamaki and Hajime Iwaizumi were attending the same university in Tokyo. Toru Oikawa was still missing since he's in Argentina, pursuing his volleyball career.
Matsun and Maki ended up entering the bar together when Iwaizumi drunk called them. They saw how their friend mumbled some words that they didn't understand even a single word.
Maki muttered to no one "What a rare sight of.. Iwa.. getting drunk."
Iwaizumi's right side of his face fell flat at the table's surface and his eyes were closed while his left hand still holding a full glass of whiskey.
Matsun sighed and crossed his arms "Okay.. Spill it." He said as he sat beside him.
"Ifufhsiajjup."
Maki tilted his head and looked so confused "Huh? Wait.. what?"
"I-I'm so f-fucked up."
"Fucked up? Why?" Matsun replied out of curiosity while ordering a drink from the bartender.
Maki asked after he declined an offer from the bartender "Oii, what did you do?"
Iwaizumi got up and drank another shot of whiskey. He's way past his alcohol limit.. but.. what to do, right? He hurt you. He fucking hurt you. His gripped on the glass tightened "I- I t-told her I still love-"
Both, Maki and Matsun leaned closely towards their friend to hear him clearly since the sound is too loud for their liking.
"- Yui.."
"WHAAT?!!"
"W-wa-wait.. You told Y/n that you still love your bitchy ex-girlfriend?! That ex-girlfriend who fucking cheated on you?! Bro! Y/n's your close friend! You told us that you are not interested about friends to lovers kind of shit but you still courted her because you love her, right?! W-wait.. Ugh.. I need a fuckin' drink." Maki exclaimed. Suddenly, he called the bartender to gave him a drink. This is too much for them. They know how that girl damaged Iwaizumi.
Iwaizumi needed it. He needed someone to snapped him out of it. What Maki told him was the truth.. but.. why did it end up this way?
Matsun sighed again. He has the most sound mind compared to the other 3 and seeing Maki still surprised by the revelation, He asked carefully "Why did you do that? What happened, really?"
Iwaizumi refilled his glass and started to sip it little by little.
"Oi, do you think it's too much already? Stop drinking." Maki said
His friend shook his head "I- I needed this."
"Alcohol is not a solution, bud."
Iwaizumi looked so lifeless while swirling his drink slowly "You guys knew.. Y-yui's my first love, right?"
Matsun almost choke while drinking "Correction. 'Was'.."
"Y/n starting getting jealous and over protective to me when Yui came back. She-"
Maki bursted out "Of course! Who wouldn't be?! That was your ex-girlfriend! That cheater-"
Matsun sighed for the nth time "Maki, please.. just let Hajime finish his story first."
"and you guys definitely knew that I don't like being prisoned in a relationship.. It goes for.. I think 2 months.. I wanted to talked to her about it. I was about to go to the playground near their house and I s-saw them talking. I- I kind of worked up when I saw Y/n pushed Yui and it ended up a mild wrist sprain."
Maki was about to burst again when Iwaizumi said something..
"E-every word I said to her.. I fucking regretted it.. I wanted to make it up to her.. I-" Iwaizumi got choked up.
"I wanted to say that I still love her.. I didn't even let her explain-"
"You did not let her explain?! What kind of boyfriend are you?! You asshole!" Maki started to become enraged.
"Maki.." Matsun massaged his temple. Where is Oikawa when you needed him. Drunk Iwa and Maki who got worked up is a bad combination.
You cried your heart out that night. Why! Why! Why!
What is with her that I don't have? Am I just a rebound? For how long did Hajime hide it from me?
For a first time after what happened, you tried not to look for him, answer his calls and messages.. for short, you planned to avoid him at all cost and it went on for a month.
Some of your friends even asked you about what happened but even though he hurt you, you did not disclose.
You always replied "Had a fight."
They didn't believe you for a second since they know how Iwaizumi will pursue you even if it's a slight disagreement. Nevertheless, they still comforted you.
"Hey, Y/n. Iwaizumi-san is-"
"I'm busy"
"Bu-"
Well, that kind of converstion always occur whenever Iwaizumi tried to talk to you.
It was now 2 months since that happened. The volleyball club had a practice since they have an incoming match this weekend.
Maki and Matsun observed their friend who's not playing well. He looked so tired and what not.
Iwaizumi groaned when his spike was out.
They know how affected Iwaizumi is.
After their practice, Iwaizumi had a frown on his face. This is not his best day. Almost all of his spike and serve were out.
He did not even spare a glance to his friends.
You totally forgot to grocery shop since you were so preoccupied by your studies so you decided to go to the convenience store.
You were in your cute pyjamas while walking towards the store. You like reading the 'Nutrition Facts' labeled at the back of the food/drink that you wanted to buy but you were not in the mood to cook for yourself so you picked up 2 tuna onigiri. You went to the refreshments section to get a bottle of milk but both hands tried to picked it up.
"Sorry-"
"So-"
You tensed up. That voice.. Ha-hajime..
"Y-you can get it." You muttered a bit fast so you can get out of this situation.
"W-wait! Y/n!"
You paid for the onigiri and walked fast to avoid him.
While walking home, you can feel the coldness of the air but did not mind any of it since your mind is always telling you to 'run'.
You flinched when you felt his hands wrapping around your arms to stop you.
"Y/n.. please.." His voice croaked.
You can feel your breath hitched. You're not ready yet to face him.
You are afraid.
You slowly turned around and you felt your heart breaking. You miss him so much that you want to hug him so tight into your embrace.
"At last.. I can see your face up close.." Iwaizumi softly smiled.
You're still not ready to look into his eyes because the truth? You are afraid to break down infront of him. You took a deep breath to look at him and you saw how much he longed for you through his eyes.
He took a step towards you and stroke your cheeks softly. His eyes glistened "I- I'm so s-sorry."
You were about to say something when he pulled you into a hug. Your eyes widened when you felt your top getting wet. He is crying and it's a first time..
"I- I'm so sorry.. I d- did not mean to hurt you.. p-please. It- It's my fault.." Iwaizumi sobbed.
You pulled back from the hug and took a step back. Iwaizumi can feel his heart ache. So near yet so far..
You tried to hold your tears "B-but.. you told me you still love her.. A-am I just your rebound?" You finally broke down.
"N-no!"
"Then w-why? Y-you left me that day for her. You didn't even let me explain-" You wiped your tears away..
Iwaizumi was about approach you again but everytime he step forward, you took a step backward..
He exhaled shakily "I.. I felt.. strangled up when Yui c-came back.. You were overly jealous in such a small thing. I-it feels like you don't trust me e-enough. I wanted to talk you that day and then I- I saw you pushed her away-"
"You want to know why I'm j-jealous?.." You gulped trying to find your voice.
"Everyday since she came back, she always told me that y-you still love her.. She w-wants you back, H-hajime and I can't let you go to her since I saw how she hurt you back then.. t-that's how much I l-love you.. but you still went to her.."
"Babe-"
You chuckled a little while wiping your tears away "b-but.. wh-what am I compared to your first love, right?"
Iwaizumi pulled you to his arms and hugged you so tight "I'm.. so so sorry.. I didn't m-mean to hurt you.."
You keep on sobbing when you kept on remembering about what happened that day. It's like it happened yesterday..
He gazed at you lovingly while wiping your tears "I-I realized something that day.. I thought a part of me still wanted her but no.. She wanted me, yes.. but I want you, not her. You are my present and my future, Y/n."
Your face reddened at his sudden confession. Lots of butterflies dancing around your stomach. Your heart doing crazy flip flops.
He kissed your forehead. Forehead kisses by Hajime is the best.
He leaned his forehead towards yours "P-please.. forgive me.. Please.. give me a chance to prove it to you more.."
Iwaizumi eyed your soft lips that he misses. He tilted his head to the right a bit "I love you, Y/n."
He kissed your lips and you stood there frozen, still your bearings are not yet functional, from his sudden confession to kiss..
He smiled, his smile that made you fall for him more, as he pulled away slightly but you snaked your arm around his neck and kissed him.
"I love you too, Hajime.."
You jumped as they won the volleyball match. 2 - 1.
You excitedly ran towards your boyfriend and hugged him "Congrats, Babe!! You're so awesoome!"
Iwaizumi chuckled and kissed your cheeks "Thanks, Babe!"
Since the confrontation, both of you were now showy when it comes to pda in public.. but not too much.. and your relationship blossomed..
Matsun smiled "So.. they're back together. No more drunk ass Iwa."
You hugged Matsun and Maki "Congrats to the both of you too!"
Maki ruffled your hair "Thanks, Y/n."
You nudged his side softly "Maki, I heard you beat the crap out of Hajime."
Matsun spit his water "Iwa told you?"
You nodded but smirked afterwards "Feel free to beat him if he tried to become an asshole again."
Maki and Matsun winked at you "You got us!"
"Hey!!!"

I’m seriously fucking dumb, I actually deleted one of my requests😭😭! Hope that I remembered it right. This was requested by @miss-understood
Request: Yandere Undertaker with a s/o who can see and talk to the dead and helps them fulfilling their unfinished business in the real world so they can move on and go to the afterlife. Everyone believes that the s/o is crazy until they say something that only the deceased could have known.
Tw: Yandere themes, unhealthy mindset, unhealthy relationship, possessiveness, obsessiveness, overprotective actions, manipulation, mentions of kidnapping
Undertaker with an s/o who can see and talk to ghosts
⚰️Best believe that his overprotectiveness will only increase when he finds it out. He had noticed that the s/o often seemed to be somewhere else with their mind and had even caught them more than one time talking to someone when no one was near them. He heard how other people talked about his darling, labeling them as crazy and a hopeless case and he made sure to shut this people up. He didn’t know what exactly was wrong, but he knew that there was more to it.
⚰️During a visit from the s/o he found out their secret. He had shortly left them alone in the shop, needing to get something and when he returned he heard them talking to someone. He quickly stopped in his tracks and listened, feeling a bit guilty for ear dropping like this. What he heard confused him at first because the s/o mentioned the name of a man who had recently died and for whom Undertaker needed to prepare a coffin. It almost sounded like...they talked with him. He was even more shocked when he heard that the s/o said that they did what he asked them for and hoped that he could move on now. That’s when Undertaker suddenly knew what was wrong. His darling was able to talk to ghosts!
⚰️He didn’t confront them about it immediately, being a bit unsure about how to approach them about this. But during another visit from them he decided to speak up about it. The s/o was a bit surprised that he had found out, but didn’t try to lie about it. Much more on he contrary, they were glad that they could finally talk to someone about it. It was so refreshing to have someone to talk to who wouldn’t label them as insane so they spilled everything they had hidden for such a long time out. How they had discovered from a very young age that they were able to see and talk to ghosts, how they had started to feel bad for the ghosts because they couldn’t move to the afterlife because they couldn’t find peace and how the s/o had started their ‘business’ to finish the tasks that the ghosts weren’t able to fulfill during their lifetime.
⚰️As mentioned above Undertaker’s overprotectiveness only increased after hearing this. He started worrying for you. Started worrying about your health, physically and mentally. Even though you assured him that you weren’t stressed out by this since you were used to it he couldn’t help, but worrying about what would happen if it all would become to much for you. He knew that some people died pretty cruesome deaths and you were literally able to hear their cries. What if you would break under all this pressure? Undertaker nearly got a heart attack when you told him that you had once broken both of your legs to help one ghost and nearly demanded you to stop helping them, but you refused and countered that this wouldn’t be from any use since you would still be able to hear them and if you wouldn’t help them they would just keep annoying you until they got what they wanted. And as frustrating it was for Undertaker he knew you were right so instead he insisted on helping you. He demanded you to tell him about every task you had gotten from the dead and whenever he thought that one job was too dangerous he would try to convince you to let him do it. Even if you refused to let him help you, he would still do it. He was also a bit more hesitant when you were in his shop, worried that the ghosts of the dead people in there would eventually pressure you and whenever you came over to his shop he would from time to time sent quick glances in your way, making sure that you were alright.
⚰️For some time he calmed a bit down, feeling safer now that he could help you with more dangerous jobs, but very soon after a new thought crossed his mind. Undertaker knew that you had hidden your ability for years, but what if someone would find out? What would they do to you then? This thought gave him new paranoia and one day this nightmare came true when you came running to him one day covered in dirt and scratches with tears screaming down your face. When Undertaker saw you like this he immediately started throwing a fit, asking you worriedly what happened and angrily who did this to you. You were quick to tell him what had happened.
⚰️Some villagers had cornered you and had started to make fun of you, calling you things like a crazy, weirdo, hopeless and more and when you had tried to run away they had pushed you back, insulting you more and more until you couldn’t take it anymore and told them something that you shouldn’t have. You knew a lot of their relatives because you had helped them in the past and most ghosts tended to tell you about their story since they had no one else to talk to so you knew a lot about many people, also some dirty secrets. And this dirty secrets you had spitted angrily into their faces. Only after your outburst you had realized what you had done, seeing their shocked and speechless faces before one of them had kicked you down and had screamed about how you were able to know this, whilst the other ones had mumbled that you must be a witch and had stepped terrified back from you.
⚰️As soon as you had told him this Undertaker made sure to comfort you, but on the inside he was freaking out. He knew that now he needed to do something. You didn’t suspect anything when Undertaker offered you to stay with him for the night since you had done this quite often before, but when you woke up the next day in a small house somewhere in the forest with every window and door locked up you started to panick. But the thing that freaked you out the most was when you suddenly saw the ghosts of the kids who had bullied you just the day before flying in front of you, apologizing and pleading you to help them with things they weren’t able to do in their lifetimes. When you asked them in a shaking voice why they had suddenly died they told you that they had been attacked by a man with long grey hair, completely dressed in black. That was when your worst suspicions were confirmed.
⚰️After that day Undertaker didn’t let you out of the house again, being too scared that something similar might happen to you again and he wouldn’t be able to take care of the ‘problems’ in time. He kept you in the forest for the simple reason that you wouldn’t have so much encounters with other ghosts in here. Of course you were scared of him and were against his measurements, but there was nothing you could do. Undertaker did feel heartbroken, knowing that he most likely lost all your trust, but your safety was first. And he was sure that with time he would be able to restore the bond he once had with you.

Hey sorry if you don’t take requests like this but could you write something about Dazai with a fem s/o or crush who keeps saying she hates herself and has very low self esteem like Atsushi and panic attacks sometimes? Again sorry if you don’t take these! If it’s uncomfortable for you it’s okay to not do it!!!
Hey, this is my first time writing something like this, but it's perfectly fine! There's always a first time for everything. Sorry this took so long.. it was slightly triggering, ngl, but I managed, so all's good :D
I kinda made it relevant to my own self.... I didn't know any other way to write this....
Love, know that you are more than enough, and that you deserve love, support and happiness!
Let Me Teach You, What Love Feels Like
Dazai x f!reader
Tw: panic attack, self doubt, self hate
You sat at your desk, trying to come up with something to write. You weren't exactly a writer, just someone who always liked to read and sometimes write. You were a student, but recently you had started your own blog, and turns out, people actually liked your work.
But you couldn't accept the fact that they liked it because you were a 'good writer'. You never doubted your followers, or their tastes, but you just weren't sure if you were actually good enough, or if they were just being kind to you, out of their goodness.
Thoughts like these always flooded your mind whenever you sat to write. Whenever you get any requests, you go over them a million times before posting anything, wanting it all to be perfect for your followers.
But you still thought that you could do better.
You stared at your phone screen, reading and re-reading the request that was sent to you.
You had an idea in your mind, but what if the person who sent this, wouldn't like it? What if they aren't satisfied with what you wrote? What if your effort isn't enough? What if they hate it? What if-
Your thoughts were interrupted by two arms draping themselves around your shoulders.
You jolted out of your spiraling thoughts, and let out a silent gasp.
Tufts of brown tickled your cheeks, as a chin placed itself on your head.
"Hey beautiful", a melodic voice spoke.
"Dazai! You scared the shit out of me!"
You wiggled out of his grasp, turning around to scowl at his handsome face.
He chuckled, booping your nose with his own.
"You look so cute when you're flustered, I can't help but pull such tricks on you ;)"
His cute smirk and light hazelnut orbs filled you with happiness. You loved him so much. He was a dork sometimes, but, alas, he was your dork.
"What are doing, love?", he asks, peering over your head to observe the blank page of your book, and the text on your phone.
"Just writing...", you say,"or atleast, I'm attempting to.."
Your far away look, and the doubt in your eyes instantly told him what you were going through. You were a lot like a certain subordinate of his, and it both pained and hurt him.
You always looked down at yourself. You never gave yourself enough credit. If something that you worked for was successful, you would give credit to the luck, or some stupid coincidence, or anybody else who had merely lent a helping hand. And when it didn't work out, you blamed yourself, calling yourself weak and inefficient. You would easily take the fall for all the misfortunes, and never pat your back for all the good you do. It frustrated him to no end. What should he do to make you realize that you're perfect the way you are? How can he convince you that you are more than enough, and that you are such an important and worthy person in not only his life, but everybody around you? You are capable of bringing a smile to everyone's faces, and your mere presence makes their day. How do you not see that?
When you wake up and look in the mirror, all you see are made up imperfections.
He remembers when you were staring at the mirror one morning, and he had asked you teasingly, "Are you checking yourself out?"
You had merely shaken your head, and replied with a,"There's nothing to check out..."
Before he could say something, you had begun talking.
"I'm not beautiful, Dazai. Look at me. My curves aren't quite right. At some places, they are non existent and at others, they're way too bulging. I'm not pretty, either. My eyes are way too huge, and my nose is slightly crooked. My hair isn't silky, and my height isn't ideal. I'm.... nothing of value..."
You turned to face him, with tears in your eyes.
"I... I don't know why you stay... You can do so much bett-"
He had cut you mid way with a kiss.
"You are the most beautiful person on the planet, Y/N."
You looked away, mumbling, "You just say that for the sake of it... You don't have to, you know..."
He cupped your cheek, looking you in the eyes.
"When you smile, my entire world lights up. That's because you are my world. Your curves are perfect. Your eyes aren't too huge, infact, they're the prettiest pair I have ever seen. The way they shine, and hold so much kindness, beauty and love; they make me fall for you over and over again. Your smile, and your gurgling laughter gives me a reason to live. You are my reason, Y/N. You are perfect."
You blushed. You wanted to believe him; the genuine look in his eyes, the soft smile on his lovely lips, and the gentle tone of his voice; it all made you want to believe him. But you couldn't bring yourself to do so. You couldn't give yourself any credit, and couldn't see the perfect, amazing parts of you that he saw. And he knew that. He could read it on your face. You were flustered by his words; he could see that. But he also saw the doubt. He saw the hesitance on your face.
So he did what he thought was best. He made love to you. He very passionately explained to you, all the best parts of you. He kissed every bit of skin, telling you just how much he adores every inch of you.
It did wonders to your confidence, too.
Now, instead of thinking that everybody hates you, you knew that atleast one person doesn't fully despise you, and that person was Dazai. Although it didn't quite work the way he wanted it to work, it still did something.
So he kept going, proving to you at every opportunity that you were perfect, and deserve all the love in this world.
Right now, staring at your doubtful eyes, he saw just how skeptical you were about your writing abilities.
He was going to change that.
"Say, Y/N, do you want a break?"
You tilt your head in consideration.
"I haven't even written a word yet..."
He smiled, saying,"Maybe your mind needs a refresher. Something to help unclog your thoughts."
He tugged on your wrist, beckoning you to follow him.
"Where are we going?"
He threw on his coat, helping you into yours.
"You'll see", he said, giving you a wink.
Walking down the lanes of Yokohama was one of your favorite pastimes.
Observing the people, the diverse culture and the beauty of the city filled you with content.
He took you to have your favorite ice-cream. The rich flavour and the way it melted on your tongue always made you feel happy.
"This is so yummy!!", you squealed, licking it.
Dazai chuckled ruffling your hair.
"Don't do that! It completely spoiles my look!", you say, trying to fix your hair.
"I love you so much..", he says, voice completely serious, his face adorning a charming but genuine smile.
You blush at the sincerity of his words, and smile.
Your little moment was interrupted by a furry ball running past your legs. The cat looked injured.
"Hey, hold onto this for a moment. I'll go check if that cat is hurt.", you say, handing your cone to Dazai.
He nods, as you begin running after it. He doesn't know why you care so much, but it's probably because of your big heart. Sighing, he begins walking in your direction slowly.
You try to catch up to the animal, turning a corner, and in the process, bumping into a small boy.
The ice-cream in his hands drops to the ground.
He looks at you, devastated and sad, and begins bawling his eyes out.
You try to apologize to him, promising to buy him a new one, but he just wouldn't stop crying. The loud noise of his cries and the exertion caused due to running made your breaths uneven. You tried to push it away, but you could feel your head pulsating with pain. A high pitched tone filled your ears. You tried to block the sound to get some relief, but to no avail. The intensity of the sound, the headache and the boys teary face made you drop to ground, and curl up against the wall.
'You are so useless. Whenever you try to help someone, you only end up ruining it. You always ruin things. Nothing you do is valuable. You cause so much pain to everyone around you. You can never make anyone happy. You are the cause of everybody's sadness. You are a disappointment. Pathetic, useless person.. Why are you even alive?'
Your thoughts were swallowing you. They were pulling you into a deep, dark hole, one that was draining your life out of you. You couldn't stop the shaking of your palms, your whole body trembled.
You didn't realize when the commotion stopped, or when or how the boy left the area, but you could hear a voice, a familiar voice, and you tried to hold onto it. You tried with your best efforts to clutch onto the one ray of light in the dark hole you were in. You used all your might and focused on those words. Slowly, you could make sense of them.
"Take deep breaths, Y/N. I'm here. Don't worry. Just focus on your breathing."
You did that. You tried to hear your own breaths.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
You were slowly crawling out of there, tuning out the thoughts that were trying to pull you in.
"Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in..."
You followed the voice, and felt the angry thoughts fade away.
Once you were almost in control of your mind, you tried to open your eyes, only a little bit. Through the tiny aperture, you saw soft brown orbs staring back at you. Dazai smiled at you, hesitantly raising his hand near your face. Silently asking for permission to touch you. You nuzzle your face in his palm. He slowly pulls you into a hug. Kissing your forehead, he picks you up, and begins walking home.
You snuggled against him, hiding your face in his chest, and closing your eyes.
He just wanted you to have a good time. He had messed up. But it's alright. As long as he was with you, he would help you get out of your spiraling thoughts. He would always be by your side. He would protect you, even if it meant from your own mind.
On reaching back home, he helped you change into comfortable clothes, and laid you on the bed, wrapping the comforter around your body to keep you warm. He made some soup and rice for you. He brought you a tall glass of water, too. He took complete care of you. He fed you the food, cooing you to have as much as possible. You needed the strength. You soon fell into a deep slumber, with his arms wrapped securely around your petite form.
Dazai held you close, and slowly rocked you. He observed your sleeping form, and felt so frustrated. He wanted to help you out of this, and he was trying his best to do so. He was taking small, baby steps, and they were working, too. But it was all too slow. He didn't want you to experience one more second of this. He wants you to never go through that again. But he knows that things like this take time. He's willing to sacrifice everything for you. He loves you, and will always love you, no matter what. He will not stop until you are free of the dark thoughts that plague your mind, and will, at every step, assure you that you deserve all the happiness and live in this world.
Because you matter to him. You mean the world to him. So he will hold you close, kiss your lips, and wipe your tears until you break free. He will walk through fire for you.
He looks down at your face, the way your eyes fluttered every now and then, and the way your rosy, delicate lips were slightly parted, the way a strand of your hair fell onto your face, and the way you looked so innocent and protected in his arms; it all made him love you even more.
He made a promise to you.
"I will always be there for you, my little lady. I will always love you, and will teach you to love yourself."
He kissed your forehead.
"I love you, my princess."
Sorry if this wasn't what you wanted! I tried my best...But do request again, if it isn't satisfactory!

The Rise of Jimmy Casket Rewrite, Chapter 6
TW - grotesque imagery, gore
——————————————————————————
The morning had gone pretty smoothly, downing eggs and water early in the morning so Ghost could rent a car and bring Toast to the nearest walk-in clinic, and then brought him to a nearby hospital for stitches. The wound needed at least 4, and Toast was grossed out by how the stitches looked in his skin, the way his wound felt tight whenever he moved his leg. It made his face wrinkle in grimace.
Toast sat in the car on the way back from the hospital, still recovering from the anasthasia, everything felt light and yet so heavy, his eye lids threatened to fall, and he was sure he was making absolutely no sense whatsoever cause Ghost chuckled at everything he said.
Some weird pop song played on the radio, filling a silence that Toast didn’t even register was there. It wasn’t until Ghost started talking that he realized the quiet.
“Hey, Toast.” Toast turned to him, his head felt weird when he moved, like instead of a brain he had a bowl of cold soup in his head. But he forced himself to look serious, he was starting to calm down from the anasthasia anyways, so he could manage something of the nature.
“Yes, sir?” He mumbled out, it took a lot to form an articulated sentence, one that actually made sense.
Ghost parked in the hotel parking lot, sighing a small bit.
“Toast, I just want to apologize again. I am so sorry for leaving you to deal with P.I.E, it was such a shitty move on my part.” Ghost said.
“No, no sir, it's all right.” He managed. Ghost shook his head.
“No, it’s not.” He said, frustrated. He grabbed Toasts hands in his own, sighing. “Look, let me apologize because we both know this never happens. I’m sorry, for being such a shitty friend and boss. You, whether I like or not, are now kinda the leader. And I’ve been feeling like shit for leaving you to deal with it. I’m sorry.”
Toast blinked, kind of shocked. He blinked, not really knowing what to say.
“I accept your apology sir. But now that we’re all together, we need to start working as a team. And, if I may add this in, you might want to apologize to Spooker and especially Colon for leaving sir.” Toast said quietly.
Ghost raised his brow, staring at him with his green eye.
Toast nodded, “They were very hurt when you left. They look up to you. Colon was just telling me about his frustrations with you just the other night. “
Ghost looked lost, “But what would I say?”
Toast smiled at him. “You’ll know when the time comes. It will be genuine.”
Ghost licked his teeth nervously, before nodding. “Okay, lets go get Colon and Spooker. A walk will do us good.”
Ghost helped Toast up to the hotel room, getting ready for the walk. It had been a while where Toast could just relax, and he was hyped for a nice walk.
They walked late into the night, watching the sun go down behind the trees as the sky melted from blue, to purple and gold. The moon hung high over head, so clear and bright. It casted silver shadows across the forest floor, leaves dappling the light.
Toast was walking with Colon, the tall man helping him support himself. He also took a few times to point out an animal or two.
One time, a doe had crossed their path with a fawn in toe and they all had to pretend they weren’t there. Afterwards, Spooker had almost melted into the ground, crying about how cute it was.
The leaves above them ruffled, a cold gasp of air rolling over them. Toast smiled, feeling refreshed.
A small stream trickled near them, a few leaves following the current. Frogs hopped over the rocks, moonlight reflecting off the cloudy water.
Spooker turned to the stream, his eyes round in awe. “Oh my God! Frogs!” He whispered excitedly. He knelt down, his knees squelching in mud. He held out his hand, reaching out for a frog. The frog jumped into the water before he could catch it.
He turned to another, and another, until finally. “Aha! I got one!” He whispered, picking up the frog gently. The green amphibian let out a small ribbit, hopping around in his palms.
“I’m gonna name you, Fredrick.” He cooed, petting the amphibians back. Ghost made a disgusted face.
“Ew- you’re naming it after yourself?” He said, raising a brow. Spooker stuck out his tongue, gently putting the frog back in the grass.
“No. My name is Fred.” He emphasized, “The frog's name is Fredrick.”
Ghost rolled his eye jokingly, a smile cracking onto his face ever so slightly.
“Well I for one, love Fredrick.” Toast said with a smile, watching the frog hop away.
“Thank you T-“
Spooker was cut off by a loud rustling noise, coming from far ahead. Toast snapped his head up, glaring into the dark. His fight of flight senses kicked in, his only instinct to protect his friends.
He limped forwards, being careful not to step on any twigs, or anything else that would cause a loud noise. Moss squished under his feet, splashing quietly.
Ghost hissed from behind him, “No, Toast!” He whispered. Toast ignored him, pulling out his gun from his side holster.
He entered a thicket, wet leaves pointed at him. He felt uneasy, and jumped as a bug flew past his face.
Then, with the speed of a snake, something lunged from the bushes with a wide, yellowed smile.
He was pushed to the ground, his gun knocking out of his hand. He rolled over, pain blasting throughout his body.
He grabbed it, sitting up and fired. The shot rang out, Toast’s ears rang with silence, the world going quiet.
The shadowy figure stood in mist that seemed to come from nowhere, eyes staring at him from the fog.
It loomed over him, walking forward.
“Hey Toaster. It’s been a while!” It whispered excitedly, it’s red eyes wide.
It leaned forward, it’s face close to his. It smelled like rotting flesh; the acrid smell hitting him in the face. Sour and rotten.
It’s skin was pale, cheek bones exposed. It had matted, dark brown hair. Dirt covered it’s cheeks, a thin lipped smile crossed it’s face.
Toast blinked, shuffling away from it.
“Who- what?” He asked. Confusion clouded Toast’s gaze. ‘Who is this?’
The figure frowned. “I can’t believe you don’t remember me! But, it’s been a while since I’ve been in this form. So allow me to introduce myself.”
He stuck out his pale hand, long bloody fingernails pointed at him.
“Jimmy Casket. World renowned murderer.”
Toast let out a long, shuddering breath. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Jimmy’s frame was thin, long arms covered in bandages. He wore an unzipped blue hoodie, tattered at the edges, sleeves rolled up. Under the hoodie was a red shirt. His clothes were all bloodstained and crusty, hardened from dried fluids.
His eyes had yellow and red around the outsides, sunken in with deep eye bags. A long, sickly scar crossed the side of his face. It pulled up his lip, exposing his reddened gums and teeth base. They were blackened at the roots. Stringy saliva webbed between his teeth as he opened his mouth.
He laughed, blood splattering on Toast’s clothes. Toast gagged, fighting off the urge to vomit.
“What do you want from me?” He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Jimmy smiled wider, his sunken eyes growing wide with manic. His breath stank like carrion, blood bubbling from the back of his throat.
“To watch you suffer, until you die!” He cackled.
Suddenly Jimmy’s body jerked to the side, blood splattering on the side of his head. He staggered to the side, trying to catch his balance. His eyes grew empty.
Ghost jumped through the bushes, charging for the spirit. Colon came out with his gun drawn, Spooker rushing to Toast’s side.
“I’m okay!” Toast said urgently. Spooker helped him up as Colon shot at Jimmy, blood splattering on his outfit.
The spirit fell to the ground, his eyes empty. The two investigators breathed heavily, blood on their outfits.
Colon and Ghost turned to Toast, eyes round and horrified. “You dumbass!” Ghost yelled.
Colon rolled his eyes, putting his gun back in his holster.
“I’ll be okay don- COLON LOOK OUT!” Toast screamed.
Jimmy lunged onto Colon, grappling him from the back. His long nails digging into his face. Ghost turned, grabbing Colon's hand and ripping him from the ghost. Toast pulled out his gun again.
“Get away from us you bastard!” Toast cried, aiming the gun at him.
Jimmy laughed, raising his hands. He gave him a sly look.
“Didn’t you guys just ‘kill’ me, do you think a gun is going to do anything to me?” He said slyly.
Ghost bared his teeth. “What do you want you ugly fucker?” He said, pulling out his pocket knife.
Jimmy gave him a semi injured look.
“Look, you guys can’t kill me.” He said, with somewhat of a suave energy.
“You can’t kill a highly leveled ghost with puny human weapons. The only way to kill me is to be a ghost yourselves.” He laughed, his head rearing back in estaticsm.
“The only way to get rid of me is for me to be inside one of your minds again! Or else I’ll be here forever, picking all of you off one by one.” He said with an evil grin.
Ghost faltered, his angry expression twitching to hopelessness.
Jimmy loomed closer to Ghost, his face inches away from his. He looked angry, but betrayal lingered in the ghost’s red eyes.
“Until none of you are left.” He whispered angrily.
Ghost stared at him, cowering under his gaze. His eye was wide, eyebrows furrowed. Jimmy looked angry, yet sly.
Ghost stammered. “I- I-“
Toast took his arm, “Let’s go!” He yelled.
Colon shot at Jimmy again, hitting him with a bullet in the eye. Jimmy staggered backwards, letting out a cry of pain as red hot blood squirted from his face. He grabbed his face, anger filling his face.
Toast grabbed Spooker by the arm and they ran through the forest. Leaves got in his way, he narrowly dodged them.
Jimmy yowled from yards behind them, sprinting after them. Toast's feet barely hit the ground as he ran. Ghost ran beside him, panting wildly.
Colon ran behind them, his gun trained on Jimmy, occasionally shooting. Spooker looked hopeless, wanting to help Colon.
They reached the hotel room, slamming the door behind them. They all waited in tense silence, everyone keeping their eyes on the door.
After about 20 minutes of staring, Toast let out a sigh and fell onto the bed. “I think we’re okay.” He said.
Ghost screwed his eye shut, a sob escaping his throat.
“What are we going to do?!” He yelled, throwing a pillow at the wall.
For once, Toast did not have an answer.
