I first encountered the term ‘2p!’ when I was a young weeb in the htalia fandom (I was never in Tumblr at that time though, I think I frequented DA for my content) and was fascinated at the concept because I get it, 2P means ‘second player/player 2’ like in videogames. Their colors get inverted and also their personality.

I was confused for a while and thought ‘was there a game??’, but no, artists just drew darker/inverted versions of the characters. The alter egos. The friendly and nice ones are now cold and mean, and vice versa. They called the AU ‘2p!talia’. I guess that was my first exposure to AUs. (i think i saw a glimpse of the hzbn hotel fandom doing this recently as well? the usual red-colored characters are all in blue, just like how 2P!Dream!Sans has dark blue colors as opposed to the bright yellows of his 1P! counterpart)

(speaking of alter egos and counterparts........................... if there are any old fans of shizaya,,, talk to me LOL)

There’s the genderbending/genderbent AU, saw it in anime fandoms, where they put the labels ‘fem!’ or ‘male!’ before a character’s name, swapping genders, “what would this character look like if they looked like the opposite gender?”, stuff like that.

I don’t know how or why ppl started using the exclamation points (ex. “genderbent!” , “swap!”) thing, instead of just writing “swap __ , fem __” but I think the “!” does make it seem more organized, if that makes sense?

And thennn here I am in the UT fandom around 2016-‘17, remembering that AUs are a Thing in Fandoms: ‘woah there’s an edgy version of this character, like 2P! (2p is more like an Opposite/Inverted AU now that I think about it)’ ‘woah there’s a swapped version! Cool!’ ‘YO SWAPFELL? NICE’ ‘oh god there’s so many AUs now holy crap-‘

More content for my multishipper heart lmao

Like for example. The UTMV part of the fandom. Underverse being the inspiration(??) for content like Nightmare’s Gang, the Star Sanses- I really love how the community made them different yet similar despite being Sanses? It’s just so fun to think about!

We have the base- OG Sans Undertale. Classic, lazy, stinky boneman.

Swap!/US!Sans is, obviously, a swapped alternate. Energetic Sans, a bouncing ball of sunshine, has the Papyrus traits while still being a Sans. Cool Blue.

Both Nightmare and Dream, although not born as skeleton monsters, were transferred into skeleton bodies (their mother apparently looked at a random AU and saw US!Sans and took his image?? I think that’s how it went, correct me if im wrong).

Cross was also?? derived from US!Sans?? A lot of people said he was a US!Sans and I’ve just accepted it-

Ichiro - he’s only 19 he is just babey in a bar but if someone started a fight?? he has a pretty bad temper, so he’d probably just go for it. he has his microphone out and everything, but if the people he was fighting (or person) surrendered, he’d relent cause he’s a good dude

Samatoki - A N G E R Y. he gets into it so quick and he’s terrifying, seeing as he looses his temper so quickly. i don’t think he’d pull out his microphone cause sometimes it’s satisfying (for him) to just whack someone in the face. also he probably started the fight (i just got this image of a stereotypical barfight and he smashes a chair over someone’s head like in the movies im fhjsd samatoki is so fucky i wouldn’t be surprised if he did that)

Juto - a cop. if anyone starts a fight he could probably arrest them on the spot right then before things get too carried away, and he’d definitely use his microphone (plus any other underhanded tactics to get it to stop because that’s just how it is with mr iruma) to stop things. but on the offhand chance it gets too carried away?? bruh watch out he’s fuckin scary when he gets mad

Rio - a gentle man but also a very strong man; if anyone started a fight he could just pick them up and gently place them outside. ok but seriously he could probably single-handedly stop any bar fight, no matter how big it gets, cause he’s just that amazing ugh legend

Fling Posse

Ramuda - ??? he’s like. the size of a pea he’d probably die within 2 minutes unless he used his mic, in which case yeah he’d absolutely destroy and would have fun doing it, too

Dice - god this man is such a mess. it’s so easy for him to get super invested in a fight, he completely forgets he has an entire hypnosis microphone so when he inevitably gets his ass handed to him he just sorta lies there for a moment. it takes him like 5 minutes of lying there to remember that oh shit, he has his mic uhhh time to let loose (and boy does he let loose)

Gentaro - i actually don’t think Gentaro would do much. why would he of all people even be in a bar in the first place?? Maybe he’s with Dice and Ramuda, in which case Dice probably defends him with his life because he’s dumb and in love, but when Gentaro (inevitably) has to do something, he’d only use his mic because he knows he isn’t the most physically capable (and he can do so much damage with that. wow. remember when he absolutely destroyed all of matenrou just with ‘uso desu yo’? yes i am a doppo stan and yeah matenrou is great but fling posse…,,they should have won anyways moving on)

Matenrou

Jakurai - he sighs. he is too old for this. he is just old man and he leaves immediately

ok but fr i feel like he would actually leave unless it endangered anyone else, in which case he would be unstoppable (assassin skills and all y’know) and the fight would be over before it had even started

Hifumi - POOR HIFUMI HE IS JUST A BABEY DISGUISED AS A MAN he would probably get so scared :( he just gaps it outta there as fast as possible because he really doesn’t wanna deal with it (even though he probably got himself into this situation because he really can’t keep his mouth shut. i love hifumi he is my son but 29 years old). if he were in his suit, though, he’d probably have a good chance of being able to hold his own, although he probably wouldn’t want to hurt others, he would if there was no other choice (and he would have to use his mic cause i don’t think he’s capable of laying a hand on another person ndhjsjjdf)

Doppo - are you kidding?? doppo is out of there before a fight’s even started cause he’s afraid he’s offended people about 3942345 different times. he’s long gone by the time a fight starts this poor man is too anxious someone save him

UGH im rlly back in my anne of green gables phase press f

ok now im going to talk about my feelings on Anne. 

books = blessed. i will admit that its wack that anne’s a conservative bc her family is n she really doesn’t know anything about the tories fsgfhhdhs but! i will also so that the amount of god n praying is rlly funny n my mom made me catholic just by giving me these books like. little me mustve been holy based off all this praying n sunday school in the book. n . i Dig it. wack. its also blessed that anne doesnt actually start liking gilbert until halfway through the 2nd book like - bruh i love that she just full up like competing with him for top marks n barely cared about him el oh el. also EVERYTHING from redmond college hits me right. like anne n the weirdo...anne getting engaged...anne’s fiance’s sister being surprised she isnt bored by him...anne breaking the engagement n falling in love with gilbert n realizing it when hes so sick he might die n then he gets better n rushes to her side n They get engaged. like. im soft babey. BUT! its not a love story! even though in anne of avonlea theres the line, “If Gilbert had been asked to describe his ideal woman rhe description would have answered point for point  to Anne, even to those seven tiny freckles who’s obnoxious presence still continued to vex her soul.” like gilbert has been in love with her since he saw in her class and called her carrots bruhhh. Okay that was not the point whatsoever i just read that quote and wanted to include in anyways. anne doesn’t have romantic love story but she has a love story with the world and thats what the books are about. so like the first movie was rlly off lol, the others were better but i think a good bit of them focused too much on gilbert when she actually barely talks to him until like half way through the second book. while she definitely stresses about his opinion in book 1 its the second one when she acknowledges hes attractive and values him as friend. but! its the THIRD book where they actually start shit at the end of the book but AGAIN- windy poplars is just letters. no contact. we literally have to wait like 4 books to see them together all the time n then they have kids and the story starts to be handed over to the kids like.  anne’s story definitely highlights gilbert but it also highlights marilla and matthew and diana and mrs lynde and stella and priscilla and even jane andrews and ruby gillis. if they are not all highlights then wyd.  tbh i think anne with an e captures that her story is MORE than dianagilbertmarrillaandmatthew and it gets that shes also in love with the WORLD the only thing i have with anne with an e is that it forgets for the most part that anne is always supposed to be the light story that brings your day hope, that avonlea and green gables is where she reached everything gentle in her life. she found god, and friends and family and puffed sleeves! and that should be the focus! her imagination should always bring her better things! and anne with an e is definitely realistic i guess but its always way too dark for me to really be able to love it truly. like i love the cast, its one of my favourite casts for anne n co (except for ruby tho my personal favourite ruby gillis actually goes to my school so that might be a bias but whatever) but yeah! and i think part of the problem with anne with an e is that its told through a tv format and i think with certain books tv is a rlly bad field! n anne’s story is just not told best thru the current trends in tv. anne with an e is a rlly good show that i like but i cant love it as an anne adaptation, i have to love it separately, yaknow?

n of course, like it briefly mentioned above the books r dated n not perfect n dont have the best outlook on tings n honestly is probably not the best book for the average person bc its about an 11-17 yr old ginger white girl in the late-early 1900s which is why the anne with an e series is better at looking to a bigger more modern n diverse audience. if only it couldve captured more hope along with tackling important issues n having diversity n rep :,). but i guess it being “realistic” is more important or smth. idk.
