#I fucking go around like this in conversation

gaz is the type to mention a daughter in complete seriousness then proceed to pull a kitten out of his pocket to show u and price
yes!!! this did numbers to my emotions, i had to word vomit:
he’s been going around, telling the squad how he can’t wait to introduce them to his precious darling. to his little girl. to his lovely daughter. and every time someone tries to ask him questions, such as, “when the fuck did you become a dad?” kyle just avoids them with such finesse.
he’d suddenly remember a key detail in a mission, or nudge the conversation away from him being the focus with the slightest of effort, before hiding from them in plain sight.
but you. oh, you were curious; downright shaken with not knowing. and gaz just looked at you, curling his nose, and finally murmured, “i’ll introduce you to her first. she’ll love you, i just know.”
and it—
it made your heart full. how kyle was so open in his excitement, boyishly charming as he snort-giggles.
so of course you never expected a tiny tabby, barely five weeks old, to be pulled out from his jumper pocket when he finally asked if you were ready to see her.
“this is mack,” he says, bringing his cupped hand up to show you the mewing kitten. “short for mackerel, because it’s all she wants to eat.”
“oh,” you say, croaking, heart soaring because there is something so beautiful in seeing kyle be so—
content.
“hi, little girl,” you greet the tabby, voice barely a breath of a whisper because she is so small, so fragile.
her big eyes sparkling as she looks up at you, then back to her dad, before finding you again. a blink. a tilt of her head, like she can’t understand what you are, and then a mew; a quiet chirp from the baby.
“wh’s goin’ on ‘ere?” your captain’s voice rings from behind you. kyle doesn’t bother replying, and you can barely react when john’s boots begin to thud against the floor, devouring the space, before you feel him brush his shoulder to your own as he stands close.
“oh,” john says, just as surprised.
“name’s mack,” you tell him because kyle is now distracted by the kitten nipping at his thumb. “his ‘daughter’.”
“oh,” john repeats, but with more emotion, and you turn slightly, peering up at him, trying to understand what caused that waver in his voice, only to see him watching kyle and the kitten with something… tangible.
“yeah,” you say, throat bobbing as you try swallowing the lump lodged in there because you get it. you understand the longing in your captain’s eyes. “yeah.”

I was going to put this in the tags but it's long enough and a direct response that I think I should just add it here.
Yes, to all of this, unironically and unhesitatingly.
For what it's worth for everything I'm about to say, I am a licensed social worker and am currently employed as a mental health clinician. But I have not done any research on this personally and don't have sources at the moment to back this theory up (im going to look into that today actually. I'm curious to see what I find.) This is just all speculation from a professional, so take that for what it's worth. I'll try to add some sources later when I'm not on mobile.
See I agree with what was stated up above about anxiety and depression. I also think its possible it could apply to diagnoses considered less "general," like adhd.
Example. I was recently diagnosed with adhd. The only reason I bothered to pursue the diagnosis was because it was impacting my ability to function throughout my day, and I wanted to try medication. (Personally, I think those are the only times you really should pursue a professional diagnosis, but that's a separate conversation...)
The most notable complaints I had about what I was experiencing were:
- struggling to focus on one task instead of bouncing around between everything on my to do list
- getting overwhelmed and paralyzed from the amount of thoughts and tasks that were in front of me
- struggling to stay on a task that requires my full focus (like reading) because I simply can't give that task my full attention
- conversely, going too long engaging in one task (usually a preferred relaxation task) and neglecting other parts of my life. This typically happens for me on weekends, when I'm trying to play video games instead of think about work.
There are other symptoms that I qualify with, like interrupting people (or struggling not to), being physically jittery and fidgety, being easily angered when certain things happen, etc.
For me, a lot of this ties back to - and was made most clear by - the amount of tasks I have to regularly engage in in my life, and my difficulty keeping up with it all and functioning effectively through it.
Now on one hand, the DSM V is written with a focus on symptoms that interfere with life functioning. And things that stop necessary tasks from being completed tend to fuck our lives up more than something that makes us a little too talkative or fidgety.
But also. And I will say this again and again and again.
A diagnosis is a tool and label. Not a law of the universe. Not a cause. It is a human attempt at categorization of known symptoms, with the intention of relating to effective treatments.
(And that^^^ is something you'll learn from any decent psych 101 class. Mine wasn't decent and I had to go a few classes beyond before we actually started framing it that way.)
With that in mind. Here's a question.
Is my adhd just innate within me, and something that would have been there, regardless of what my life looked like? Is it a specific way my brain deviates from the "norm," and something that, with the right technology and testing, could have been detected and diagnosed without my even noticing any symptoms? Something that exists in a vaccuum without touching my other diagnoses of anxiety and depression?
Or. Is it maybe just a quick and easy way of saying "this person cannot keep up with the stimuli in their life without becoming overwhelmed. And it is effecting their functioning to a notable degree"
That second option is a gross oversimplification, but I hope you take a second to sit with how much the first option sounds like eugenics. If the problem is innate within you, then if we just improve our technology enough to detect it in everyone who has it and separate them from the "norm," then we can weed out the problem, right? Okay, Elon.
How much of my adhd could be a culmination of the fact that I'm overwhelmed with stimuli 24/7 and have lost my ability to focus effectively because of it? How much of my clients' adhd could be a result of the same, possibly combined with the fact that many of them have experienced or are currently experiencing trauma? Which is known to impact ability to focus on tasks, as well as create a hyperactive body system?
This isn't to say adhd is a bogus diagnosis. The same way that the anxiety and depression we experience within our current world state is also not a bogus diagnosis. We're still experiencing it. We still fit the diagnostic criteria. And treatment still helps.
My point of all this is, yes to what's above. And also, maybe it would be good to reframe the ways we view diagnosis in general, to take it a step further, and to recognize the very clear and present causes of what a lot of people are experiencing nowadays. In my opinion, it goes beyond anxiety and depression.
(Also. For the people saying you'll go nuts if you aren't busy. Take a look at why that is. Is that a sustainable way of living? Are you comfortable just existing as yourself? Are you trying to distract yourself from something, or avoiding something uncomfortable? Have you possibly adapted well to the pressure of being constantly busy? Think about it from a different angle)

#this is pre-8am rambling so take that for what it is#and i know i didnt provide any sources#frankly a lot of this is stuff i got from conversation and lecture in school#as well as conversation with other professionals#i have no doubt there is literature out there that discusses it and backs it up#but ill be honest i havent read it since college#and im not about to link something i havent read#nor am i about to read a whole book on it today because its saturday and i dont want to work. thats what the week is for#the adhd thing tho#im gonna see if theres studies that have connected the increase in adhd diagnoses to the evolution of social media or something#if i find something ill link it#anyway a lot of this is meant to be provoking philosophical conversation about how we view ourselves and the world thru a psychological len#not necessarily a research backed explanation for What Is#i just want people to think a bit#if an academic source for this is that important for you to find#theyre out there. shouldnt take you long. go for it#professional opinion: focus less on diagnosis and more on actual cause. treat the causes#thats not something you really need a source for tbqh

—
You were standing out on the curb with your arms crossed over your chest. The faint music from the bar behind you filled your ears and the February wind had goosebumps raising on your skin. You were beginning to regret your decision to forgo a jacket. The choice felt right when you were bar hopping earlier, free from lugging around an extra layer of clothing, but now it was coming back to bite you in the ass as you stood out in the cold clad only in a skimpy little dress.
Thankfully you didn’t have to wait long as you watched a familiar truck pull up in front of you.
Joel Miller’s dark grey pickup came sliding up on the street and you could see the man behind the wheel smiling through the driver’s side window, amused at your poor choice in inadequate clothing.
Without missing a beat, you pulled on the handle of the door behind him, sliding to the middle of the spacious backseat.
“What the hell are you doin’ kid?” His voice was a low chuckle as he turned his head back to look at you.
“You know you can sit in the front? Pretty sure you’re old enough.” He sounded entertained as his eyes met yours.
“It’s more fun this way.” You were giggling out.
“It’s like we’re in an uber.” You were leaning forward with your eyes still on him, your chest practically falling out of your dress.
Joel was fighting with himself not to let his eyes wander to your exposed skin when he decided to face forward again.
Jesus you were hardly wearing any clothes. He was starting to question why he had agreed to come pick you up in the first place. Oh yeah, it’s because his dumbass made a comment weeks ago about being able to give you a ride if you were ever too drunk to drive. And judging by the way your words were falling from your lips in a carefree giggle and how your body was folded forward over the middle console of his truck, you were definitely in no shape to drive.
You were in college and still living with your dad in an effort to save up some cash. Sure, it was nice not to worry about rent, but living under your father’s roof came with its downfalls– like him being far too aware of your whereabouts.
That’s when you and Joel shared a whispered conversation about him being there if you ever needed a hand sneaking around your dad’s constant need to be in your business.
He had joked about being your designated driver if you ever needed one, and tonight after a few vodka sodas and your friends not wanting to end their fun, you had taken him up on his offer. It was no surprise that he agreed to come get you, Joel was always so nice to you– a perfect gentleman.
You met him last year after him and your dad worked on the same construction site. Their friendship started with shared beers after work and quickly turned into Joel and his daughter coming to your house every weekend for Sunday night football and dinner. Your two families had gotten pretty close, and you began to look forward to seeing Joel every week.
He was a friendly guy, always cracking jokes and drumming up conversation, not to mention he was incredibly attractive. In fact, you had developed quite the little crush on him. You would act calm, cool, and collected every time you spoke with him, only to go on losing sleep at night thinking about how dreamy he was. It was just a bit of harmless fun, a teeny tiny unrequited crush on your dad's best friend. That was until you caught him watching you a few months ago, like really watching you.
If it had been anyone else you might’ve found it creepy, but it was Joel. Joel who was undeniably single, and funny, and handsome, and older. Joel who was raking his eyes down your body inch by inch when you had skipped downstairs in the world’s tiniest pajama shorts and an equally teasing crop top. You weren’t expecting to see him standing in your kitchen that early on a Tuesday morning yet there he was, gawking at your ass cheeks that couldn’t be covered by the barely-there material of your shorts. He saw you watching him as he stared at you. He didn’t even try to hide it. Both of you frozen in your kitchen and the tension palpable before your dad came into the room muttering something about his car not starting and Joel giving him a ride.
After that day your little crush on Joel Miller turned into a full-blown obsession.
You wanted to have his eyes on you like that again. You dreamed about him staring at you. The scenarios that you conjured up about him late at night could land you in the loony bin, but you didn’t care. This new desperation to fulfill the fantasies plaguing your brain were all you could think about, and you were determined to do something about it.
“I don’t understand how you’re wearin’ that when it’s so cold outside.” Joel’s eyes were staring straight ahead as he began to drive you home, pulling his car back onto the road and moving with the traffic on the busy street.
“Well you’ve obviously never been a girl on 6th street on a Saturday night.” You were still leaning forward in your seat making sure to push your cleavage together with your arms now that you knew he was looking at your outfit.
“Obviously.” He was mocking you with his response, eyes meeting yours in the rearview mirror.
“What’s Sarah up to tonight?”
Your question was harmless as you leaned back in your seat peering out the window and admiring the bright lights of the city around you.
“She’s staying over at a friend’s house.” Joel’s eyes were back on the road, focused on the route back to your house.
“Probably for the best, don’t want her knowing I’m picking up your drunk ass at 2am.”
You were shooting him a glare that he couldn’t see while he chuckled under his breath.
“Don’t need you lookin’ like a bad influence.” He was peeking at you through the mirror again, a smirk on his lips.
“Oh please, I’m an angel.”
You were responding in a sugary sweet voice, your eyes holding as much innocence as you could muster, only drawing more attention to the way your tits were pushed up against your arms.
It was such a sinful image, one that Joel let his eyes linger on for a little too long as he stared at you through the mirror.
You were addicted to the way he was looking at you.
Quite frankly, you were addicted to everything about him.
You could almost feel the liquid courage still coursing through your veins as you relaxed against the leather seat, arching your back slightly and looking up at him through your lashes.
“You could just take me back to your place.” Your voice was hushed as you watched Joel’s expression fill with confusion, his eyes finding the road again.
“And why on earth would I do that?” He may have been confused but his voice remained playful as he questioned you.
“Because maybe I want you to finally do something about that wandering eye of yours.”
There it was– the words you had been holding back for months. I see the way you look at me, I’m into it, and I want you to fuck me.
“Don’t know what your talkin’ about angel.”
His voice was mocking as he used the title you had given yourself moments ago. He was tip toeing closer to the blurred line of whatever unspoken tension had been building between the two of you.
Oh, game on. If he wanted to tease you, two could play at that game.
“C’mon Mr. Miller I know you can’t keep your eyes off me.”
The use of his surname had Joel’s eyes snapping up to the mirror to meet your gaze. As soon as his eyes were on yours, he regretted it. You looked downright drunk, but not from whatever alcohol was left in your system– no, you were drunk off desire. For him.
“I know you like to watch...” The words were leaving your lips in a disgustingly sweet tone and your hand was ghosting over your chest.
“Don’t.” His voice was stern as he spoke, but his eyes were still on yours in the mirror all big and needy, telling an entirely different story.
“Don’t what?”
Your hands were teasing the lowcut neckline of your dress as you spoke.
“Shouldn’t you be concentrating on the road? You seem a little distracted.” The flirtatious words falling from your lips worked in tandem with your hands that were now cupping your breasts and trailing down your torso.
You searched for his eyes in the rearview mirror again, only now they were focused ahead instead of on you.
“You’re drunk, I’m not doin’ this with you right now.”
Oh so he wanted to parade around on his high horse? Not happening.
“I’m not drunk. I had a few drinks hours ago. I’m of sound mind Mr. Miller.”
There it was again, Mr. Miller. You had never called him that before, not once. But now you were sitting in the backseat of his truck with your hands all over your body saying it over and over again and he thought he was going to combust.
“And what if I hadn’t been drinking tonight? Then would you watch me do this.”
What little alcohol that was left metabolizing in your body must’ve given you enough confidence to spread your legs, the movement hiking your dress all the way up your thighs. You hand was sliding down your body only to stop when it found the thin material of your lace panties.
“Jesus fuckin’ christ.” Joel was groaning out when his eyes flickered to the mirror to watch you all spread out in his backseat like that.
“Knew you liked to watch.” You were whispering as your fingertips danced at the hem of your underwear.
“What do you want me to do?” You were teasing as you let your fingers wander closer to your core, legs still wide open.
“Want me to stop Mr. Miller?”
You could see the way his hands were gripping the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white from how hard he was squeezing.
He was holding on as tight as humanly possible while he debated his next move. Did he get serious and put a stop to this, or did he let himself have a little bit of fun and surrender to the pretty young thing all needy in his backseat.
“Want you to keep touchin’ yourself angel.” His voice was gruff, muddled with lust and bad decisions as he finally gave in to temptation.
You hummed out a quiet moan of victory as your hand met the wetness of your panties, your fingertips tracing up and down your clothed center.
Joel’s eyes were a constant boomerang going back and forth between the road ahead of him and the reflection of you playing out in the mirror above him.
He knew it was wrong to let you do this right now. He was the older more mature one in the situation, he should be telling you to stop. Only he couldn’t. He had been fighting himself on this for far too long. The once thick rope that was holding him back from giving into his desire had been thinning since that morning months ago when you had your ass on display for him before 8:30 in the morning. The restraint had become a single, tiny strand keeping him from pouncing on you and now that you were in his backseat with your hands between your legs, he had given up entirely, cutting the string with his own pair of shiny, perverted scissors.
“C’mon baby, keep goin’.” He was encouraging your filthy movements when your eyes met each other in the rearview mirror.
His brows were furrowed and the look in his eyes was completely primal. That glare alone made you pull your panties to the side, giving him a glimpse of your slit, all swollen and glistening– excited by the spontaneity of being half naked in the back of his truck.
“Fuck.” The groan that fell from his lips had you wanting to shove two fingers as deep into you as they could possibly go, but instead you decided to spread your arousal over your opening, taking your time and teasing the man sitting in front of you.
“I always think about you Joel.” Your voice was timid now as you preened underneath your own fingers.
“Think about you when I’m touching myself.” The words were a breathless hum as your fingertips found your clit, rubbing gentle circles over it and allowing your eyes to flutter closed at the sensation.
“That right baby?” You could tell Joel was holding onto what little composure he had left as he continued to prompt your self indulgence.
“Show me”
Each time his eyes found the mirror again you could feel the heat spreading throughout your body.
“Show me what you like. Show me what feels good.”
Fuck. You had a feeling Joel would be good with his mouth, but you didn’t anticipate him being this good with his words. The filthy things he was saying were driving you further into a place of utter insanity. He had you on the edge of going feral as you nearly forgot you were in the backseat of his car, your fingers working faster on the bundle of nerves at your center.
The moans bubbling out of your throat were evidence of your dazed headspace and you weren’t sure what felt better; the way your fingers were stroking your clit or knowing that Joel was watching you, his dick probably rock solid in his jeans.
The idea of him being turned on was enough to have the pressure coiling inside your core, but you needed more. You ached to feel some sort of stretch, some semblance of fullness. You needed something inside of you, and if it couldn’t be Joel, you would do it yourself. Without a second thought you slipped two fingers into your entrance, slowly dragging them in and out.
A low grunt left Joel’s lips, and you could see one of his hands leave the steering wheel and fall into his lap as he adjusted himself through the denim holding back his growing erection.
“That feel good sweetheart? Nice and slow like that?” His voice was strained, and his eyes were darting between the windshield and your reflection.
“So good. Wish it was you instead.”
Oh that was it. He had officially lost it upon hearing those words.
Shit, he wished he had taken you up on your offer to go back to his place. He also wished you hadn’t been drinking tonight. He reminded himself that although you claimed sobriety, he wouldn’t be able to live with it if he did something he couldn’t take back and you regretted it tomorrow.
So, for now, as deprived and questionably moral as it was, he would just let you finger yourself while he sat back and watched. You were an adult that could make your own decisions to possibly regret in the morning; and who was it hurting if he gave you a few words of encouragement?
“I know baby, but just keep playin’ with yourself.”
His voice was reinforcing your already overwhelming pleasure as you arched your fingers, hitting just the right spot. That familiar curl mixed with the featherlight touch still circling your clit had you bracing yourself for the orgasm that you knew would be hitting any minute.
“Doin’ so good.” His voice was a whisper from the front seat and you could’ve sworn he was on the verge of whimpering.
“Gonna make yourself come all over my backseat- shit.” He was mumbling out his words and you could practically hear the sexual frustration building within them.
Both of you were losing control and you couldn’t bring yourself to care about your surroundings as Joel’s truck was coming to an abrupt stop.
You were home.
He was careful to park on the curb a little further from his usual spot as he quickly took the keys out of the ignition and shut off his headlights. You had never been so thankful for the cover of nightfall and the invention of tinted windows.
“C’mon baby show me how you come, wanna see it.”
Joel was now leaning his body over the console to face you. Finally getting to see you all spread open before his very eyes instead of a reflection. The bulge in his pants grew tenfold at the sight; Your dress was bunched at your waist, your cheeks hot and pink, your eyes were fighting to stay open, and your delicate little hands were working overtime between your legs. Watching you like that had Joel ready to finish in his pants like a teenage boy.
“Come back here.” You were all but begging through moans as you kept working to bring yourself to the edge of release.
You wanted him to join you, to use his fingers instead of yours, or his dick– you’d take whatever you could get right now, and you wanted it all.
“No sweetheart, not tonight.” He was refusing your invitation, and your feelings might’ve been hurt if it weren’t for the way he reached out and placed his hand right above your knee.
He was spreading your legs further apart with his grasp on your leg and rubbing his thumb back and forth on your lower thigh. His gentle touch had you seeing stars.
“Let go baby.” His eyes were burning into you as he watched your fingers carefully curling at the knuckle with each thrust. Your moans were incoherent as the tension pulling inside your body threatened to snap.
“I need it, show me.”
Joel’s words were carrying you to the finish line as your chest heaved.
“Give it to me sweetheart.” With his hand caressing the soft flesh of your thigh and his eyes watching your every move, you came apart for him. Profanities and moans spilled from your mouth as your release washed over you.
You kept your eyes screwed shut for a few seconds as you forced yourself to take a handful of long deep breaths working your way down from your high.
As soon as your eyes opened, you were met with Joel’s stare. His pupils were dilated and you could see his chest rising and falling with shallow breaths as you raised your fingers to your lips.
If you were doing this, you were ending it with a bang.
You opened your mouth just enough to slip your index and pointer finger inside, dramatically sucking them clean before pulling them back out.
“Fuck kid.” He groaned in defeat as his eyes remained glued on your perfectly pouted lips.
“You better get inside.” He was breaking his trance on your mouth and turning back around to start his car back up like nothing ever happened.
“Are you serious?”
You were shocked at his ability to hold it together, knowing that his dick must be throbbing in his jeans at this point. You were more than happy to solve that problem if he’d just let you, but it seemed as though he was ready to kick you out of his tuck without so much as another glance in your direction.
“I don’t know how much you’ve had to drink tonight, can’t trust your decision-making skills.”
“Oh, but you could watch me do that and it didn’t interfere with your moral compass?”
“Go.” He was motioning you out of the car with a tilt of his head and you could read the painfully amused expression on his face through the rearview mirror– the very mirror that had just bared witness to the corrupt scene of you and Joel losing all self-control.
“Fine.” You were chuckling as you pulled your dress back down your thighs and scooting toward the exit, pulling the handle and plopping out onto the concrete street.
“Have a good night… blue balls.” You were standing outside the truck and forcefully shutting the door to his backseat. The last two words leaving your lips in a giggle as you waved goodbye to Joel.
Joel just watched as you skipped up to your front door. He was in big trouble, huge fucking trouble. There was no way he’d be able to look at you again, let alone be in the same room as you.
After tonight, he wouldn't be able to trust himself around you. The next time your eyes met his he'd have no choice but to run his hands all over your perfect little body.
And tomorrow was Sunday night football at your place.
He was screwed.

. . . ⇢ ˗ˏˋ signed, with love
hockey player!vi x basketball player!caitlyn x cheerleader!reader, fluff, secret love messages, pining, reader is lowk a dumbass, use of y/n
word count; 1,899
summary; as valentines day approaches, you start to receive anonymous declarations of love, only to find out they're sent by the last people you'd suspect
a/n; happy valentines day!! this is my little gift to you all, and i hope you enjoy. i'm gonna go ahead and claim that it's a bit awkward because they're high-schoolers and NOT because i don't know how to write stuff like this jdhfsjhfdj
It was the week before Valentine's Day at Piltover High, and the excitement buzzing through the air was almost palpable. The annual holiday event was in full force, where students were able to send love themed cards to each other, be it anonymous or not.
The hallways were abuzz with giggles and murmurs as students speculated who had sent them cards, who might send them cards, and the reactions of those they had sent them to. Everybody seemed to be deep in the tradition, well, everybody except for you.
You weren't insanely popular, but you weren't not popular. A nice middle ground, some may say. You had been on the cheer squad for a year now, which naturally meant you were higher up on the pyramid of social status compared to the rest of the student body. This wasn't the problem, the problem was that you just weren't interested in anybody.
You told yourself it was a mixture of nobody being interesting enough, and just not having enough time to pursue anybody. If you weren't doing anything cheer related, you were studying. If you weren't doing either of those things, you were spending time with Caitlyn and Vi.
Caitlyn- easily the most popular person at school. Captain of the basketball team, tall and beautiful, and just so nice. Not that fake, only doing this to keep up appearances, nice either, like actually nice. And then there's Vi- breakout star of the hockey team, a little rough around the edges, but so fucking hot. Together, they were the very top of the food chain, everybody's favourite couple, and absolutely unstoppable.
You had been friends with them for a few months now, when you had cheered at one of Caitlyn's games and she couldn't help but watch you the entire time. She just had to talk to you after the game was done, and Vi was on board immediately. All it took was one conversation and it was like you three had been friends for years, and suddenly were inseparable.
The three of you had lunch together every day. Vi would walk you to classes, Caitlyn would walk you to cheer practice, any spare time you had outside of school was almost always spent with them. People had tried to joke about you being their third wheel, but the look that Vi had sent their way had them promptly shutting their mouths. You didn't mind, though. Never at any point did you feel uncomfortable or left out, and you were happy to see your best friends so in love.
What you didn't know, however, is that both Caitlyn and Vi were absolutely smitten with you. Their feelings were small at first, like a small sprout popping up in Spring. That was until you had gone on a week vacation and they realised how much they missed you, and THEN you just had to go and bring them both home a gift- a basketball keyring for Caitlyn and a hockey stick one for Vi- and suddenly the small sprout was a grand oak tree and they just couldn't keep lying to themselves anymore.
They had a long talk between themselves, discovered that they were both on the same page, and started to plan how they would approach the subject. They cared too much to risk jeopardising your friendship by just springing it on you, so they knew that it had to be perfect.
── ⟢
Your eyebrows furrowed as the small card slipped out of your open locker door, fluttering to the ground in front of you. You slipped your textbooks into the locker before kneeling down to pick it up, turning it over in your hands as you stood back up. It was cute, a little doodle of a steaming coffee cup with 'Words cannot espresso how much you mean' written underneath. No name. You let out a soft chuckle and a little shake of your head as you slipped the card into your bag, and didn't think much of it. Probably just one of the girls on the cheer squad sending them to the team.
And then there was another.
'If I could start my life over again, I would find you sooner so that I could love you longer ♡'
"What the fuck.." you mumbled, looking around you to the other students filling the hallway, trying to see if anybody was looking suspicious. Nobody had ever shown an interest in you, not really, so to start suddenly getting valentine's cards was surprising to say the least.
Every day up until the 14th, there was a new card waiting for you. Every day they seemed to get more and more personal, and there was no doubt in your mind that they were meant for you and you alone. The girls on the cheer squad had no idea about it, but they were fawning over the cards that you had gotten, studying each one carefully. When you tried to ask Caitlyn and Vi, they had played it beyond cool.
"Wow, seems you've got yourself a secret admirer, huh? You sure you've not been out there flirting up a storm when we're not around?" Vi had teased you, causing your cheeks to burn as you snatched the card from her with a scoff.
"You don't recognise the handwriting?" Caitlyn had queried, even though it was no use. The messages in anonymous cards were written by the students handing them out for this very reason.
You got the final card on Valentine's day, and although it was the most simple and, well, least romantic, it still caused your stomach to do flips.
'Gym, after school today.'
── ⟢
Being on school grounds after hours was always slightly uneasy. The hallways were silent, your own footsteps echoing along the empty expanse of the building. You stood in front of the doors to the gym, heart racing as you wiped your palms on your jeans and shook the shake out of your hands. With a deep breath, you steeled yourself, and pushed the doors open.
The lights were off, the only source of light in the open room was coming from multiple candles scattered around the floor. In the middle of them was a picnic blanket with a hamper sat neatly on it, a couple of plastic cups tucked beside it. Both Vi and Caitlyn were sat on the bleachers behind, chatting away to each other before the sound of the door closing behind you caught their attention.
"Oh... uh, hi guys" you drawled, voice laced with confusion as you quickly checked over your shoulder before taking a few tentative steps towards them. "Sorry... I didn't mean to interrupt."
Caitlyn stood up, her varsity jacket hanging off her shoulders as she hopped off the bleachers to approach you. "You're not interrupting, don't worry. You're right on time, actually."
That increased your confusion tenfold, and it must have shown perfectly on your face as you watched Caitlyn busy herself with pouring drinks, because Vi's soft laughter was suddenly reverberating through the empty hall.
"Y'know, for somebody with your grades, you aren't all that smart sometimes" she teased, coming up to rest a hand on your shoulder as Caitlyn passes you both a cup of soda.
"Wha- but I don't-"
Your fingers wrap tightly around the plastic cup in your hand as the realisation hits you, and your eyes bounce between the two girls. Vi has a cocky smirk on her face as she sees the gears in your head turning, whereas Caitlyn looks a little nervous as she sips her drink, arms crossed over her chest.
"You sent those cards?"
"We did" Vi affirms, her hand squeezing your shoulder lightly. "Cait said the puns were too cheesy, but I think you liked them anyway, hm?"
You watched as Caitlyn rolled her eyes, even though a hint of a smile was ghosting on her lips. "We had been thinking of how to approach the subject with you for a while, and well, this seemed like the perfect opportunity."
You nodded, eyes flitting down to the picnic blanket on the floor. "And... you did all this.. for me?" you asked quietly, your voice hesitant and still coated with disbelief. Caitlyn took your free hand in hers and gently guided you to the blanket, sitting you down on top of one of the pillows as she sat in front of you, Vi doing the same to your side.
"Of course we did. You're special, Y/n. We care about you a lot, and-" she cuts herself off, playing with your fingers that she's still holding in her hand. "We were hoping you'd feel the same."
Vi clears her throat and shuffled a little closer, lifting a finger to your chin so she can turn your head to look at her. "What Cait is trying to say, is that we like you as more than a friend. This is our way of showing you that, and asking if you want to be something more."
Your heart stopped in your chest, and a warmth had spread across your face as you let everything sink in. It was like being doused in ice-water, the realisation that you did, in fact, feel the same way about them. Your lack of a love life wasn't because you were busy, or because nobody interested you. It's because they had already filled that hole in you, you just hadn't thought about it long enough to see it.
"Wow, I- honestly had no idea" you breathed out, your words coated in an airy laugh. "I mean, looking back at it, of course it seems obvious this is where it headed."
The three of you shared a laugh at that, and you lifted your free hand away from Caitlyn's to rub the back of your neck sheepishly.
"I don't want it to change anything though, not really. I mean, yeah, obviously things will change-" You blush at the thought of kissing them. "-but it won't get like.. weird or anything right?"
The two girls shared a look and set down their drinks, Vi gently taking yours out of your hand too, shuffling closer to you so they were sat on either side.
"Nah, not weird at all" Vi murmured, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
"We won't do anything you don't want to, love. We'll take it at the pace you want" Caitlyn affirms, her voice soft yet strong.
They both lean forward and press a soft kiss to your cheeks, and you let your eyes flutter closed as the feeling of being sandwiched between them. For the first time in a long time, you had never felt as at peace.
"Okay then" you whisper into the space in front of you. "I feel the same way, so.. I think we should give it a shot."
"Yeah, sweetheart? Wanna be our girlfriend?" Vi questions in that teasing tone that you love to hate, her lips grazing against your cheek as she speaks. You just nod in response, both girls crushing you in a bone tight hug as relief washes over them.
"Now then" Caitlyn starts after a moment of the three of you basking in each other. She pulls away only to flip the lid of the basket, pulling out various different snack items. "I prepared this specially, and we have a valentine's picnic to dig into."

~ Selfish (and Jealous) ~
One Piece Captains
How selfish are each of the captains when it comes to your attention? And just how much more selfish they can be when they become jealous.
NSFW for each captain below the red lines.
18+ MDNI
Luffy
Luffy is accidentally very very selfish. It doesn't even really cross his mind that he could possibly be being selfish and if someone brings it up all he thinks to say is "Well I AM a pirate" with a laugh and exaggerated shrug.
He'll just butt into conversations you're having, either running over to show you something cool or just wrapping himself around you in a tight hug to listen in. Maybe he'll even dramatically kiss your cheek just to make you laugh.
When he's intentionally being selfish it's a whole other deal though. He is suddenly one of the most jealous people ever. For example, you might be talking with a captain of another crew or gushing about how strong someone is. As soon as he hears praise for someone else he is right beside you, pouting or otherwise trying to draw your attention. "Hey I'm supposed to be the coolest guy you know" an exaggerated pout is permanently stuck on his face and he's glaring at the other person. If he doesn't manage to draw your attention though he will wrap his arms around you and run off with you (sometimes this is the first step of he's feeling particularly neglected that day).
Jealous of the other captains (Law and Kid mainly)? He will immediately be starting a fight for your affection. You mention one of their attacks is cool? He's immediately showing off the "super secret epic move" he's been "working on" (he probably just made it up completely on the spot). You like their style? He's pouting and grumbling about how his hat is so much cooler.
-----------------------------------------------------------
When it comes to the bedroom Luffy is yet again accidentally selfish. It's not necessarily a bad things though because the way he is selfish isn't what you may think.
Instead of focusing on his own pleasure he is just so focused on the moment. You have his undivided attention and he is not letting a second go to waste. This also means you need to be focused on him though. Any time he is not touching you is time wasted if you ask him.
He's selfish in terms of not listening to you. Yes how you feel is important but what you say isn't. He is 100% accidentally overstimulating you because he just can't get enough of how you sound.
I also firmly believe that he prefers to focus on you rather than taking care of his own needs. He will only stop touching you when he absolutely can't hold back anymore and even when he is actually fucking you he is still groping you in every way possible.
How about how selfish he would be if someone else was involved? He probably just accidentally ignores them, forgetting they're even there sometimes just because he wants to hear you even more. If he does remember that someone else is there then he's gushing about you and showing off how good he can make you feel. You always have to be the focus of both of their attention, he just won't allow it to be any other way.
Trafalgar Law
Law isn't really selfish but he's not not selfish y'know? He has a good handle on his emotions for the most part so it's rare he actually lets any selfishness or jealousy seep through the calm and smug facade.
He also knows that you wouldn't be dating if you liked anyone else so he doesn't really get jealous.
If he wants your attention then he's probably going to be selfish and immediately ask that you come to his office just to spend time with him, no matter what you're doing. And since he is your captain you have to obey (he likes to pull the captain card a lot). But if he's content just doing his own work then he doesn't really mind letting you do your own thing.
If you're talking to someone else when he wants your attention there's 2 options. Option 1, he calls you into his office, maybe whoever you're talking to even thinks you're in trouble with the way he says your name, but he's actually just tired and needs your attention to refill his battery. Option 2, you're mid conversation and then you're in his room. This is usually much more of a last resort. He might use this method when you are refusing to go to bed or when you're ignoring him for whatever reason.
He knows it's selfish to want you to spend most of your time in his general vicinity but he just can't bring himself to care. You both might like time to yourselves but that doesn't mean you can't have your alone time in the same room.
He doesn't really get jealous when you hang out with other people but he does prefer it if you stay near him, he'll tolerate other people talking to you as long as it remains friendly and if they try to flirt, then you don't flirt back.
When it comes to the other captains (Luffy and Kid) he won't intervene in the dramatic way the others would. He prefers to be more casual, he might just wander over an arm around your waist or shoulder. He isn't one for PDA but sometimes he just has to show off his claim over you. He might even whisper a joke in your ear to irritate the others or make a sly remark about them.
The way he feels when you interact with them could be considered jealousy but he would probably just say that they irritate him and he doesn't want you wasting time on them.
If you mention something cool that the other captains have done, he doesn't do much more than raise an eyebrow at you, maybe it even irritates him but you won't necessarily know until later. If it irritates him enough then... Well check out the NSFW section.
-----------------------------------------------------------
If you manage to make Law actually jealous then he might just take it out on you in the bedroom. In reference to what I mentioned before. If you talk too highly of the other captains then he is going to tease you endlessly. "Do you think those idiots could make you feel as good as I do?" His fingers might lightly trace over every sensitive place he can think of. "Come on, you talked so highly of them, where's my praise?" He won't let you finish, edging you until you're gasping out apologies. Even then, it's not an apology he's after, it's the satisfaction of knowing that even if they are 'cool', they could never make you feel the way he does.
When you're having sex otherwise he doesn't really seem selfish or jealous. He's actually very giving. Unlike Luffy, he will do whatever you ask him, if you've been good and you ask him nicely enough. He loves it when you beg (I'll probably make another post about this at some point).
I doubt he'd be comfortable with anyone else watching but if it ever did happen then he would be the one completely in control, giving orders. He might be sitting on the other side of the room and instructing them how to treat you, or he might tell them to just watch so he can show off how well he knows you. He's definitely making sure you are the centre of attention.
Eustass Kid
Kid is insanely selfish and very easily made jealous.
He lets his emotions get the better of him so if he's jealous everyone knows (even if he denies it).
He hates when you interact with anyone outside of his crew. Even going as far as making sure you are never sent to go shopping alone. It's not that he doesn't trust you, he just prefers that you have a guard dog to make sure no one even thinks of hurting you or trying to take you away.
If he wants your attention then he is going to yell your name and demand that you accompany him, he'll claim he just needs your help if anyone asks but in reality he just wants you by his side. Like how Killer is never too far away, he just likes to know what's going on and prefers to have you close by.
He wouldn't get jealous of his own crew per se (because he trusts his crew and friends a lot) but if he notices you spend more time with anyone in particular he might become more irritable. If you both have down time and choose to hang out with someone other than him he is probably going to seek you out and hang out with both of you. It won't necessarily improve his mood and he'll probably sit there glaring at you both (after all you chose to spend time with someone other than him) but at least he can spend time with you.
The only person he could never be jealous of is Killer because he trusts him completely and I would even go as far as to say that he shares everything with Killer.
Because he's pretty much always keeping an eye on you, the moment one of the other captains gets too close to you he is by your side, hurling insults and taunting them. "Why are you wasting time talking to these losers?" "Get back to work." Any excuse he can make to keep you away from them. Again, he trusts you but he just gets so jealous. The idea of them wasting even a second of your time irritates him beyond comprehension.
If you insist on talking to the captains or compliment them in any way, he becomes insanely angry. You are not spared from his wrath either. If you compliment them when they aren't around then he's just gonna curse under his breath and probably call you an idiot. If you compliment them to their face then he curses and storms off. "Fine if you like their company so much stay here then!" "Fucking idiot, complimenting this trash." Anyone who witnesses him storm off will immediately jump out of the way and probably avoid him for the rest of the day. Eventually if you confront him about it he'll shout about how he's the only one who deserves your praise. He's selfish so the mere thought of you complimenting someone else fills him with rage, those are his compliments, his attention, you are his.
-----------------------------------------------------------
When it comes to the bedroom his selfish side really shines through. He's going to make sure you enjoy yourself but he's also a bit of a sadist so if he wants you to beg for it then you are going to beg. I also firmly believe he is the king of degrading praise.
"my pretty little whore" "such a good slut for me huh?"
If you've pissed him off then he is going to leave you there without letting you finish. But other times he is still focused mainly on himself but he will consider how good you're feeling, it boosts his ego to know that even when he is the main focus he can still make you feel just as good.
If you've made him jealous then he's going to show you just how much better he is. He will not stop until you are crying out, whimpering that you didn't mean to make him jealous, that he's the only one you admire and that he's the only one who can make you feel so good.
Kid would also probably be the most likely to involve someone else. Obviously the first person to come to mind is Killer but I don't doubt he would also be ok with sharing with a couple other members of his crew (the other two who immediately come to mind are Wire and Heat). As long as it's both of them dominating you then I think he'd be very very into it. He'd give the others tips and taunt you for getting off to the idea of both of them.
Although he's easily made jealous normally, because he has so much control in the bedroom it takes a lot more to make him jealous.

“Mine”
The music still thrummed through the walls, a muffled echo of the energy still crackling in the air. The event had been a whirlwind—bright lights, loud cheers, and a sea of people. Now, backstage, things were quieter, but not by much. Conversations hummed, laughter spilled from corners, and you found yourself caught in one—your attention focused on a man whose name you barely remembered.
He was charming, sure. Smiling too much, leaning a little too close. But he was harmless. Just talking.
Seungcheol, however, saw something else.
He had been watching you the entire time, jaw clenched so tight it ached. His fingers curled into fists at his sides, a storm brewing behind his dark eyes. He saw the way the man looked at you, how he leaned in when he spoke. And worst of all, he saw you let him.
The moment the guy reached for your wrist, even if only for a second, Seungcheol moved.
His grip was iron when he grabbed your arm, pulling you away with a force that left no room for argument. The air around him was thick with something dangerous—possessive, raw, unyielding. You barely had time to react before he dragged you down the hallway, away from the crowd, from prying eyes.
He shoved open a door—a dressing room, dimly lit—and pulled you inside. The door slammed shut behind you.
“Seungcheol—”
“You think I’m fucking blind?” His voice was low, dark, vibrating with something you couldn’t quite name.
Your breath caught. “What are you talking about?”
He laughed, but there was no humor in it. He stepped closer, forcing you back until you hit the wall. His hands slammed against it, caging you in. “Don’t play dumb,” he murmured, voice dripping with something dangerous. “I saw you. Letting him touch you. Laughing like he fucking deserved it.”
Your heart pounded. “It was just a conversation.”
His head tilted, and his tongue swiped over his lower lip, like he was trying to keep himself in check. “Is that all it was?” His hand found your waist, fingers digging in just enough to make you aware of his strength. “Because from where I was standing, it looked like he was trying to take what’s mine.”
Heat rushed through you, a sharp mix of frustration and something else—something that made your knees weak.
“You don’t own me,” you whispered.
Something dark flashed in his eyes. He leaned in, breath ghosting over your lips. “The hell I don’t.”
His grip tightened, pulling you against him. You felt the way his body burned, how hard his chest rose and fell. His control was hanging by a thread, and God, he was so beautiful like this—jealous, possessive, desperate.
“You think I’m gonna just stand there and watch you let someone else touch you?” His voice was rough, thick with something that made your skin prickle. His fingers traced up your arm, slow, deliberate, until they curled around your jaw, tilting your face up to his.
“You belong to me,” he whispered, voice dark and honeyed, sending a shiver down your spine. “Say it.”
Your breath hitched. “Seungcheol—”
“Say it.”
The tension crackled between you, electric, suffocating. His lips hovered over yours, close enough to taste, but not touching. He wanted you to give in first. He needed it.
And maybe you did too.
“Yours,” you finally whispered, barely audible—but it was enough.
His lips crashed into yours, and everything snapped.
It wasn’t a kiss. It was a claim.
His hands roamed, gripping, pulling, owning. He kissed you like he wanted to burn his name into your skin, to make sure you’d never forget who you belonged to. There was nothing soft about it. It was raw, all teeth and heat and need.
When he finally pulled away, both of you were breathless. His forehead pressed against yours, and his hands stayed firm on your hips, holding you there like he’d never let go.
“Next time you wanna make me jealous,” he murmured, lips brushing against your cheek, “be ready to deal with the consequences.”
His words sent a sharp thrill down your spine.
And God, you wanted to test him again.

g!p sugar mommy giselle🫦🫦🫦
g!p.... sugar mommy...... giselle..... ANON. holds you by the neck dearly thank you for this. also! it’s barely even mentioned at all but just know giselle is like 37ish and reader is in her mid-twenties. :]
cw : age-gap!
giselle as the sugar mommy you randomly met on your day to day minimum wage job at a fast food place MHMMM LET ME COOKKK..... having her be a regular who always comes in like once a week, always wearing something super fancy.. like a black prada trenchcoat or sometimes even a dolce & gabbana blazer. point is, she immediately stuck out like a sore thumb among the rest of the crowd.
plus, you found her undeniably gorgeous as soon as you laid eyes on her, so it's not like she'd go unnoticed otherwise, either.
she often approached you at the register and made small talk, as stupid as it often was. she'd find some stupid excuse not to use the self checkout machine and would find a lame conversation starter while you're watching her pull out a dior purse, proceeding with the payment of her order. that often lead to you asking her questions of your own.
"why do you eat here? you look like you have other.... better places to be eating at."
she'd chuckle at your words, finding them amusing, before answering in a gentle tone, "trust me, i do. my niece doesn't seem to think the same way i do, however, as she seems to really like this place. i appear to be the only one indulging her."
soon enough, you'd warm up to her with each visit of hers and the conversations would get much, much longer. so much so that, often times, your manager would have to step in and remind you to get back to work prompty. it got annoying quickly, as the conversations were just getting good; chatting about studies, travel plans, ambitions and goals, etc.
so, wanting to have these incredibly interesting exchanges in a more comfortable and relaxed setting, aeri asked for your number.
naturally.
who cares that she was like, ten years older than you. it wouldn’t hurt to make a friend… right?
numerous nights of friendly-texting-turned-flirty later, you two quickly agreed on a set date and location, which turned out to be a friday evening spent in the very expensive restaurant right across the block from your workplace. it was a date! she informed you to come in 'appropriate' attire, whatever that meant. how would you know? your closet consisted of hoodies, sweaters and some t-shirts as well as your work uniform. that being said, you showed up to the date wearing a low cute dark blue dress you found laying around in the darkest depths of your drawer for probably more than seven years. saying you were nervous would be nothing but a huge understatement.
she, on the other hand, came wearing a creamy white turtleneck under the black trench-coat she was usually seen wearing when ordering food at your job, the look topped off by wide legged black pants and really expensive looking black leather heels.
what the fuck are you doing.
getting cold feet, you nervously sat down at the table and bowed your head in her direction. intimidated by the light yet impacting amount of makeup she had on her face, you avoided eye contact as much as possible. she was breathtaking.
she told you to choose whatever you’d like on the menu and to not look at the price, as she insisted you not to worry at all about the bill. you, of course, felt guilty so you proceeded to pick the least expensive thing on the menu and attempted to convince her that you genuinely loved the dish, hence why you’d pick it among everything else.
who were you kidding though, you couldn’t even pronounce whatever fuckass french name it was that you picked to the waiter. she smiled at you as you finished ordering, making you turn red in embarrassment.
“you know y/n, i couldn’t bring myself to mention it in a place as unflattering as your workplace, no offence,” she started as you shook off the statement, practically agreeing with her before she continued, “but i must say that i think you are absolutely adorable.”
it gets to a point. and at this point you’re just short-circuiting at her words and intense eye contact, finding it difficult to even act properly in front of her!
she noticed that, of course, especially in times during the conversation where she called you endearing names such as “darling”, “love” and “honey”.
that wasn’t much different in bed, either.
as it turns out, you really did want her to fuck you at the end of the night! honestly, how could you not when she’d been opening every single door for you, insisting on paying for the entirety of the bill at the restaurant and offering to drive you home despite it only being a 10 minute walk?
she’d done nothing but drive you crazy all evening with her sexy and gentle manners, it’s only natural you gave her a sloppy handjob whilst she drove her grey lexus lx back to her own house with the pure intention of fucking the shit out of you.
…and she did! very well, at that!
two of her fingers deep into you, she circled your clit with her thumb and left gentle kisses on your jaw down to your collarbone. slow and steady pumps of the digits, she thrived in hearing your soft whimpers.
that didn’t last long, however. she was getting impatient, and her dick was aching to feel you.
ass up face down, you’re getting pounded relentlessly into the mattress before you know it. getting treated like nothing but a queen all night only to be later fucked like a depraved slut… it had to be the best thing you’d ever felt in a while. of course, you let her know of that with guttural moans that left your body with each thrust of her cock. she didn’t care, her house was big enough to muffle your screams, after all.
she whispered obscenities into your ear whilst you did so, gripping a fistful of your hair and humming at each sound that came out of your mouth. talking about how tight your cunt was for her, about how good it felt, how she couldn’t wait to use it every other day, about how she would kill to take care of a pretty little thing like you.
gripping onto your sides and ramming into you shamelessly as she drove you to your climax, you bit your lip until you felt like it was bleeding. her breathier heavier and each of her moans slightly higher than the previous, you both orgasmed together, a wave of euphoria washing over the two of you immediately.
oh and, you know what she said about ‘taking care of a pretty little thing like you?’ yeah, she meant every word.
soon enough, she’s taking you on dates every other weekend, referring you to a slightly better paying, less agonizing job thanks to the connections she possesses, sending you excessive amounts of money she labels as your ‘monthly allowance’ and overall spoiling you with whatever your heart desires. hell. she even payed your university tuition! she finds it endearing to see you always so shy and embarrassed to accept the money she gives you; you always go on about how ‘you don’t give her anything back’ and how it isn’t fair.
but to her, you do give back. your happiness and joy is what aeri does it for, and you give her great amounts of that. not only that, but you also give back by whoring yourself out and looking pretty for her. giving her unwarranted boners by sending her risky pictures and videos while she’s at work, having you wear the lingerie she buys you, knowing you use the toys she got you whenever she’s too busy to take care of you, etc. aeri could name nothing better than having you be the beautiful doll she gets to play with every now and then. :]

Could you do bicep choking 🌚🙈
Daryl Dixon x Reader Grip
Summary: You let something slip—just a thought, just a passing comment—but Daryl hasn’t been able to shake it since. A week later, the tension between you reaches a breaking point. tags: smut MDNI 18+, awkward pining, pinv, breast play, praise kink. awkward daryl & fmc, bicep choking obvi a/n: hello my love! thank you so much for this request and for your patience. in a second ask, anon did specify that they meant Daryl bicep choking. fair warning, I did not reread this a ton / proofread much. please lmk of any mistakes/errors!
The sun hangs low over the trees, heat pressing in heavy as you weave through the abandoned gas station, boots crunching softly over broken glass. Daryl moves a few steps ahead, bow slung across his back, knife in hand, moving with that effortless quiet of his. Always aware. Always in control.
And his arms.
You tell yourself you’re just paying attention—watching his movements like he watches everything else around him, staying alert. But your gaze keeps catching on the shift of muscle beneath his skin, the way his forearms flex when he grips his knife, the lazy tension in his biceps every time he lifts his arm to wipe sweat off his brow.
You shouldn’t be looking.
But it’s hard not to.
Especially when he plants a boot on a fallen shelf, using his weight to pry open a rusted metal door. The strain makes his muscles coil tight, veins standing out just enough to make you swallow hard.
"Well?" His voice snaps you out of it.
You blink. "What?"
Daryl jerks his chin toward the darkened storage room behind the door. "You goin’ in first or what?"
Shit. You’ve been staring.
"Yeah. Right. On it."
You step past him, ears burning. The space inside smells like old rot and motor oil, a few overturned boxes scattered around. You crouch, rifling through some supplies, heart still kicking too fast. It’s stupid. You’ve been on runs with him before. But something about today—the heat, the silence between you, the way he’s been rolling his shoulders like his muscles are wound too tight—has you hyper-aware of every damn thing he does.
A tin of peaches clatters loose from a shelf, and you reach for it at the same time he does. Your fingers barely brush his, but the contact is enough to send a jolt up your arm, like static crackling under your skin. He pauses. Just for a second. And when he draws back, you swear you catch the flicker of his gaze sweeping over you before he looks away.
You can feel your pulse in your throat.
You should let it go. Should get back to work. But the words are out before you can stop them.
"You ever—" You hesitate, pulse hammering, but you push through. "You ever, I don’t know, choke somebody with your arms before?"
Daryl stops. Slowly, he turns his head toward you, eyes narrowing just slightly. His bicep shifts as he adjusts his grip on the tin in his hand. "The hell kinda question is that?"
Shiiiit. You fucked up.
But instead of retreating, you force yourself to keep looking at him, tilting your chin up just a little. "I just mean, you’re strong." A shrug, like it’s no big deal. "Bet you could hold somebody down real easy."
Silence.
Then, Daryl exhales through his nose, shaking his head. But there’s something in his expression—something flickering behind his eyes, sharp and considering.
He tosses the tin into your hands and mutters, "You’re weird." and walks away.

Back at the prison, dinner is quiet, the usual hum of conversation mixed with the occasional scrape of utensils against tin plates. Most people are too tired to talk much, a day of tending to the gardens, cleaning out cell blocks and keeping walkers at bay making everyone look forward to the slower evenings. The air in the hall feels thick with the kind of exhaustion that settles deep, making everything feel slow, heavy.
You should be eating, but your stomach isn’t interested.
Because Daryl’s staring at you.
You haven’t looked at him, not really since you got back, but you can feel it. That steady weight from across the room, the burning of your ears, it makes it almost impossible to keep your stomach from doing somersaults.
You should’ve kept your mouth shut on the run. Should’ve swallowed the words down, let them die in your throat. But no—you had to go and say it. Maybe it was your stupid hormones, the way he seemed to speak to some primal part of you that evolution put in your dna, maybe it was just some stupid impulse you couldn’t control. Either way, it’s too late now.
Not like it meant anything.
Except, if it didn’t, why was he still looking at you?
Your fingers tighten around your fork, but you don’t move to take another bite. Instead, you stare at the food on your plate, willing yourself to focus on anything other than the way your face feels too warm, the way your pulse is pressing a little harder than it should.
Maggie shifts in her seat, nudging Beth’s arm. “You good?”
You blink, glance up. Beth tilts her head, studying you, while Maggie smirks like she already knows something you don’t.
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost today or somethin’,” Maggie says, “The run go that bad?”
“N-no,” you stammer, already feeling the heat rise to your cheeks, “It went fine. Got a lotta good stuff, actually.”
Maggie hums, unconvinced, and you watch as her eyes flicker behind you when she says, looking back at her plate, “Looks like someone’s got a little crush.”
The fork slips from your fingers, clattering against the plate, “I do not!”
But your reaction is what does it– it’s too sharp, too defensive. Beth startles a little, but Maggie just stares, slow realization spreading across her face as you lock eyes with her.
“I was only kiddin’." she says incredulously, "I meant the grouchy archer sittin' across the room, he keeps starin’ atcha.” she shakes her head, eyes lighting up. “But I see I’ve been mistaken.” She leans in. “You like Daryl?”
Your stomach drops.
Beth gasps, slapping Maggie’s arm. “Oh my god.”
Your face is on fire. “I don’t—”
Maggie grins. “Holy shit, you totally do.”
Beth’s trying to stifle a giggle. You shake your head fast, like that’ll help, like it’ll undo the last five seconds, but it only makes Maggie look even more certain. You can feel the walls closing in, feel their eyes on you, but worse—you can still feel his.
It’s too much. You push your plate away and mutter a quiet, “Not hungry anymore,” before standing and heading for the stairs, their laughter echoing behind you.
You don’t look back, because if you were to turn around and find those ocean blue eyes still on you, it would be your undoing.
═════════════════════════
The book in your hands is old, pages yellowed and brittle at the edges, the spine cracked so deep you have to be careful when you turn the pages. You’re not even sure what it’s about. Something about a man lost at sea. Maybe.
You’ve been staring at the same paragraph for the last ten minutes.
It’s not that it’s boring. It’s just that your mind refuses to focus.
You shift on your cot, tugging the blanket over your lap, trying again, but it’s useless. Your brain keeps circling back, over and over, to dinner. To Maggie’s knowing grin, Beth’s giggles, and—worst of all—Daryl.
You squeeze your eyes shut, exhaling sharply. You should’ve never said anything. Should’ve kept that stupid thought locked away where it belonged.
A quiet scuff of boots outside your cell makes your stomach jolt. There’s a pause, then a hesitant knock against the frame of your open door. Not loud or rushed, more like a question.
You look up.
Daryl stands in the doorway, hands shoved deep into his pockets, head slightly ducked. His shoulders are hunched, like he’s already thinking about leaving before he’s even fully stepped inside.
For a moment, neither of you say anything.
Then, he clears his throat. “Didn’t know ya read.”
You blink. It’s such a small thing to say, but something about the way he says it, like he’s searching for an easy way in, trying to settle into the conversation, makes your stomach tighten.
You glance at the book in your lap. “Yeah. Helps pass the time.”
Daryl nods, his eyes flicking around the small space of your cell, like he’s looking for something else to comment on, something to delay whatever it is he actually came here for. Between your haphazardly taped posters and handmade streamers, he doesn’t find anything, so instead, he shifts his weight from one foot to the other, exhales through his nose, then finally says:
“That thing you asked me.”
Your stomach drops. Of course. You should’ve known that was why he was here.
Your fingers tighten around the book, but you shake your head quickly. “Forget it. I shouldn’t have said anything. I’m sorry if I made you–”
“You think I can?” he asks, huffing.
You frown. “Think you can what?”
His jaw tenses, and when he speaks again, it’s lower. Almost cautious. “Forget it.”
Your breath catches slightly.
He shrugs, but it’s not casual. It’s forced. “Ain’t exactly somethin’ you just let go of.”
Your chest feels too tight all of a sudden. You can’t quite place the look on his face—something careful, something guarded, like he’s trying not to let on that it’s been sitting in the back of his head since you said it. What went through his mind when you asked him?
You shift on your cot, swallowing. “Daryl, I didn’t mean anything by it.”
His gaze flickers, just barely. “Yeah?”
You nod, but something in the way he’s looking at you makes your throat dry out. He still doesn’t seem convinced.
“You think that’s what I am?” His voice is quiet, but there’s an edge there, frustration starting to rise in his voice. “Some kinda animal? The kind of man who would kill someone with–” he shakes his head slightly, jaw clenching. “You think I’m like that?”
The realization hits you hard. Your stomach twists. “Daryl, no,” you say quickly, sitting up straighter. “That’s not—”
He shakes his head again, looking at the floor. “Wouldn’t blame ya.”
Your heart kicks against your ribs. “That’s not what I meant.”
Daryl exhales, folding his arms over his chest, still avoiding your eyes. “Then what did you mean?”
You hesitate. Because now he’s looking at you. Not guarded, not distant—just waiting.
Your fingers press into the book in your lap. This is your chance to brush it off. Laugh it away. But you can already feel the heat creeping up your face, and Daryl is still standing there, still waiting, and if you don’t say it now, he’s just going to keep thinking the worst.
You shift slightly. “I meant…” Your throat feels tight. “I meant in bed.”
Daryl blinks.
His whole body stiffens, like his brain short-circuited, like the words hit him sideways and he can’t quite recover. His face is already turning red, slow at first, then creeping all the way up to his ears.
Your own face burns, and you clear your throat, pushing through the embarrassment. “I meant—if you’d ever choked someone in bed. With your arms.”
A silence falls over the room. A long, unbearable silence.
Daryl shifts, dragging a hand over his mouth. He scratches the back of his head, looks anywhere but at you.
Finally, he exhales, mutters, “Jesus,” under his breath, then huffs out a quiet, almost nervous laugh.
Your stomach clenches. “I know. I shouldn’t have said anything.”
He shakes his head, rubbing a hand over his face. “That’s—uh. That’s what ya meant?”
You nod quickly, still burning. “Yeah.”
Daryl looks at you for a second. His fingers flex slightly at his sides, like he’s thinking too hard about where to put them.
Then, after a long pause—his voice comes out quieter.
“You’d want me to?”
Your stomach drops.
Your eyes snap to his. “What?”
Daryl shrugs, but it’s forced, like he’s trying to play off how red his face still is. “I dunno. Just—” His mouth twitches slightly, like he can’t believe he’s even saying this. “Sounded like somethin’ you were real curious about.”
Your breath catches.
He’s not teasing, not quite—but there’s something in the way he says it, something light, something almost amused. Like he’s surprised at himself, surprised at you, but now that he’s said it, he’s not taking it back.
Your mouth opens, then closes again. Your hands are way too warm.
“I wouldn’t—” you swallow. “I wouldn’t not want you to.”
Daryl huffs out another soft laugh, shaking his head, glancing toward the hall like he’s wondering how the hell this conversation ended up here.
Then he looks back at you, eyes a little sharper now, lips twitching.
The heat in your face flares. You make a noise of protest, shoving at his arm lightly, but he just chuckles under his breath, rubbing at his jaw before he steps back toward the door.
“Get some sleep,” he says, still smirking.
He turns, but not before you catch it—just the slightest flicker of something in his expression.
Something knowing. Something interested.
And when he finally walks away, you can’t do anything except stare at the empty doorway and try to remember how to breathe.
═════════════════════════
The past week has been unbearable.
It’s not like anything has happened, not really. No one has said anything, no lines have been crossed, but the air between you and Daryl hasn’t been the same since that night in your cell.
It’s in the way his eyes catch on you more often now. The way he lingers a little too long before walking away. The way your skin prickles when he’s nearby, too aware of the space he takes up, too aware of how small you feel in comparison.
And now, you’re on another run together.
“Last one went well,” Rick had said, shoving packs toward both of you. “Might as well stick with what works.”
The drive into town is quiet. Neither of you talk much, just like last time, but it’s not the same. There’s a different kind of weight, and you’re grateful that the open road on the motorcycle leaves little conversation to be said over its echoing roar.
When you finally reach an old pharmacy on the outskirts, the sun is starting to climb higher in the sky, heat burning your neck and the pavement glimmering.
Inside, dust clings to everything, thick in the air. It smells stale, like old paper and time left to rot. Shelves are overturned, bottles and boxes scattered across the floor.
You do your job, scanning for anything useful, but your focus keeps slipping.
Because every time you glance up, Daryl is there.
He’s not doing anything different. Not saying anything. Just moving through the space like he always does—quiet, efficient. But somehow, it feels like every single movement is deliberate. Like every shift of muscle under his skin is something you shouldn’t be watching, but you are.
The dust-covered counter at the back of the building gives you something to focus on, something to do besides thinking about the weight of Daryl’s gaze. You hop over the counter and crouch down, scanning the lowest shelf, rifling through half-empty boxes of medication, checking for anything still worth taking back.
A prickle of awareness crawls up the back of your neck.
It’s not the usual kind of awareness you get on a run, not the instinct that tells you someone—or something— dangerous is lurking nearby. It’s different. Warmer. Closer.
When you stand, a bottle of pills in your hand, you nearly jump out of your skin.
Daryl is right there, barely a foot away, standing between you and the only way out.
Your breath stutters. He doesn’t usually get this close without reason.
He’s blocking the exit, but it doesn’t feel like he’s trapping you—it feels like he’s stopping himself from walking away. His weight shifts between his feet, his arms twitch like they want to cross, but he doesn’t move, just watches you with something unreadable in his eyes.
Your fingers tighten around the bottle in your hand. “Wha—what’s up?”
Daryl doesn’t answer at first. He just looks at you, quiet and considering, something simmering beneath the surface. His teeth catch against the corner of his lip for a second, his fingers flex at his sides, but it’s like he still hasn’t worked out how to say whatever it is that’s sitting heavy on his chest.
Then he exhales through his nose and mutters, “Can’t stop thinkin’.”
His voice is rough, like the words have been stuck in his throat all day.
Your pulse jumps. “Thinking... about what?”
He shifts again on uneven footing, glancing toward the counter before dragging his gaze back to you. The moment stretches, thick enough to smother, before he finally speaks again.
“Since last time,” he mutters, voice quieter now. Your stomach flips. He shakes his head, almost to himself. “You got me all fucked up, girl.”
It’s not frustration, not really—it’s more like exhaustion, like he’s tired of pretending that something between you hasn’t changed. And when he steps forward, closing the last bit of space between you, your body reacts before your brain catches up.
Your back hits the wall behind you.
The old metal shelving is cool against your skin, a sharp contrast to the heat rolling off him. He’s so close now, close enough that you catch the faint scent of pine and sweat clinging to him, close enough that every nerve in your body locks up, unsure whether to tense or melt.
His arms come up, hands bracing against the metal on either side of you, and suddenly you can’t look anywhere but at him.
Your breath feels too shallow.
Daryl dips his head slightly, breath warm against your cheek, and you hear the way he inhales, slow and deep, smelling the remnants of the apple shampoo you used days ago.
“S’not like I haven’t thought of ya before.”
A shiver runs down your spine, and your lips part, but you don’t know what to say. You can barely think straight with him this close, his voice this low. He smells of musk and leather and summer sunshine, something distinctly masculine and Daryl all at once. His words sink in, heavy and real, and before you can even process them, he huffs a quiet breath, shaking his head against the side of yours.
“Thought of ya a lot, actually.”
Your stomach twists, heat flaring under your skin.
Daryl pulls back just enough to look at you, and that’s when you see it—the way his pupils are blown, the way his breath comes slow and measured like he’s still holding something back. His jaw is tight, his fingers flex slightly against the metal, and you don’t know whether he’s waiting for permission or for you to push him away.
“Say somethin’,” he murmurs, voice rough like gravel in your ears. “Please.”
You reach up then, your hand trembling slightly as your fingers brush along his jaw, skimming over the uneven scruff growing in patches on his face. He exhales, eyes fluttering shut for a moment as you trace up along his cheekbone, down the side of his neck, feeling the tension there, the way his pulse beats strong beneath your fingertips.
“I think of you a lot too,” you finally manage to say, and it’s barely louder than a whisper.
His eyes open, still blown wide as they flicker between yours, then drop to your lips. His breath is slow, measured, like he’s forcing himself to hold back.
“Yeah?”
“Yes,” you breathe. It’s more than just a response—it’s permission, it’s consent, letting him know that whatever he’s thinking, whatever’s been running through his mind, you want it too.
And like you’ve just cut the cord that’s been wound too tight between you, he pushes forward, his lips crashing into yours with urgency.
You’re surprised just how soft his lips are, how gentle he tries to be, but the way he moves is anything but hesitant. There’s no testing, no waiting—he’s done holding back, done second-guessing. He kisses you like he’s been starving for it, like it’s something he’s wanted for too damn long, and you can’t help but act in equal fervor.
Your fingers tighten against his jaw, then slide up into his hair, gripping, pulling. He groans into your mouth, the sound low, wrecked, sending a sharp pulse of heat straight through you. His hands move without restraint now, gripping at your waist, fingers pressing into your hips, pulling you closer like the space between you is unbearable.
You barely register the sharp clatter of bottles knocked from the shelves as your back presses harder against the metal. Daryl doesn’t seem to care. If anything, the mess spurs him on, makes him more reckless, more desperate.
He kisses you deeper, tongue sliding against yours in a way that makes your legs weak, makes your stomach tighten. He’s breathing hard, fingers digging into your sides, body pressing fully into you now, until there’s nothing between you but heat and friction.
His lips drag from your mouth down to your jaw, then lower, his breath hot as he murmurs against your skin. “Been losin’ my mind over you all damn week.” His teeth catch on the pulse in your neck, not biting, just grazing, making you shudder. “Longer than that, if I’m bein’ honest.”
Your nails bite into his shoulders as he kisses lower, pressing into the spot just beneath your jaw, the one that makes your breath hitch. His hands are everywhere—roaming, gripping, sliding beneath the hem of your shirt. His fingertips brush against bare skin, warm and rough, and you arch into his touch without thinking.
“Daryl…”
He groans at the way you say his name, a quiet, broken sound that sends a deep shudder through his body. He presses his forehead against yours for a second, breath ragged, like he’s trying to steady himself but failing. Then his hands tighten on your waist, lifting you effortlessly onto the counter of the pharmacy.
You gasp softly, but he’s already between your legs, already pulling you flush against him, the heat between your bodies unbearable. His lips are on yours again, claiming, devouring, his hands moving up your thighs, squeezing, gripping like he can’t get enough.
Your fingers tangle in his hair as you kiss him harder, the urgency between you growing into something more frantic, more consuming. His hands slide beneath your shirt, pushing it up and over your head, and you shiver as his palms drag over your ribs, rough and warm.
His mouth leaves yours just long enough to mutter against your skin, voice thick with something wild, something unraveling. “You sure about this?”
Your only answer is to pull him back in, crashing your lips to his, fingers fisting in his shirt as you tug him closer, needing him, needing more.
That’s all he needs. His shirt is gone in the next instant with yours following suit, and the moment the fabric is over your head, his lips are on you again, everywhere. You arch into his touch, heat rolling through you as his mouth works down your neck, trailing over your collarbone, then lower. Each kiss leaves behind something electric, something you feel everywhere, and when he drags lower still, down onto your bare chest, his lips and teeth and tongue worship everywhere but where you want him most.
Your breath hitches, your hands restless, gripping at his arms, his shoulders, his hair—anywhere you can reach, anywhere you can pull him closer. He’s between your legs now, his body solid, burning against yours, his hands gripping your thighs, fingers flexing like he’s holding himself back.
You look down at him, ready to beg, but the sight of him wrecks you.
Daryl between your legs, his lips on your skin, mouth open, breath warm as he stares at you like he’s never seen anything like you before.
Any coherent thought vanishes the moment his lips close around your nipple.
A breathless moan leaves your lips as his tongue flicks over it, hot and slow, sending a deep ache curling low in your stomach. His rough fingers knead your other breast, rolling and pinching your sensitive skin in just the right way, his touch deliberate, like he’s learning you, like he’s memorizing every reaction.
You arch into him, pressing closer, needing more, but he keeps the pace slow, like he’s savoring every second, like he wants to soak in every feel of your body against his.
His tongue swirls over the sensitive bud, lips tugging gently before he soothes it with another slow flick, his breath hot and heavy against your skin. His other hand stays firm on your breast, rolling, kneading, fingers rough with callouses as he works you over with slow, steady intent. It’s almost too much, yet not enough, and you feel yourself tilting between the two sensations, every nerve in your body locked onto the way he’s touching you, kissing you, like he never wants to stop.
You’re barely aware of your own sounds, the quiet gasps, the soft moans, the way your hands dig into his shoulders, trying to pull him closer, needing him closer. His mouth moves lower, lips dragging down your stomach, his hands sliding along your sides, gripping your waist like he’s grounding himself.
Then, just when you think he’s going to keep going, he stops.
He pulls back just enough to look at you, chest rising and falling, lips slick and parted. His hands squeeze at your waist, thumbs brushing slow over your skin, and he swallows, throat bobbing as he exhales through his nose.
“Turn around,” he murmurs, voice wrecked, thick with something dark, something unfiltered.
Your breath catches.
You do as he says, shifting, dropping your feet to the floor and gripping the edge of the counter to steady yourself as you twist in his hold. The air feels even thicker now, hotter, your pulse hammering as his hands slide over your hips, guiding you exactly where he wants you.
His palms press firm against your lower back, tracing down to your waist before his fingers hook into the waistband of your pants. There’s no rush in the way he tugs them down, slow and deliberate, like he’s savoring every new inch of skin he reveals. The scrape of fabric against your thighs sends a shiver rolling through you, and when they finally pool at your ankles, his hands smooth back up, gripping, kneading, pulling you back into him.
A sharp inhale leaves your lips when you feel him press against you, his breath warm at the curve of your neck. His fingers flex at your hips, gripping tight, like he’s still trying to hold himself back, like he’s at war with the need running through him.
“Goddamn,” he mutters under his breath.
You don’t have time to respond before his lips are on your shoulder, teeth grazing your skin, hands gripping you tighter, pulling you flush against him. The heat of him seeps through you, burning into your skin, your body molding against his like you were always meant to fit there.
Then, slowly, his hand slides up.
You barely register the shift before the weight of his arm is curling around your neck, firm but careful, forearm bracing across your throat, holding you in place. The solid strength of his muscles—it’s everything you imagined, everything you tried so hard to ignore when the thought first crossed your mind.
A low, rough chuckle rumbles against your ear.
“This what you wanted, ain’t it?” His voice is gravel, wrecked, thick with something primal as his breath ghosts along your jaw. His hold tightens just slightly, just enough to make you shudder. “My arm around this pretty neck?”
His words send a shudder through you, pooling heat low in your stomach as your hands grip the counter harder. His arm is thick around your neck, a steady weight that makes you dizzy with want, and when he tightens it just slightly, enough to make you feel it, a whimper escapes your lips before you can stop it.
“Yes,” you breathe, voice barely there.
Daryl stills for half a second like he wasn’t expecting you to admit it so easily. Then he makes a noise low in his throat, something rough, something wrecked, and his grip on you tightens.
“Yeah?” he murmurs, his voice thick, warm, almost tender in contrast to how strong he feels behind you. His nose brushes against your jaw, his lips grazing over your pulse as his other hand trails lower, fingers pressing into the soft flesh of your hip. “What a sweet thing you are”
The praise sends a jolt through you, your breath catching, fingers twitching against the counter as he shifts behind you. Then you hear it, a belt coming loose and buckle clattering to the floor with the jeans he was wearing and suddenly you feel him– heavy and thick as he nudges against you, the heat of it pressing right against your slick entrance.
Your whole body tenses, then melts, nails digging into his arm where it rests against your throat.
Daryl lets out a slow, shuddering breath, nipping lightly at the edge of your ear before murmuring, “Christ, barely touched you and you’re all wet. This all for me?” His hips press forward again, slow, teasing, and you let out a quiet whimper, pushing back into him without thinking. His cock notches into you then, and you both let out a sudden gasp.
“That’s it,” he praises, lips pressing against the shell of your ear, his voice low and soothing and coaxing as his cock sinks deeper into you. “You’re so damn good. Feels good, don’t it?”
You don’t think you’ve ever heard him talk like this before, soft and filthy all at once, like he’s pouring everything he has into the way he touches you, the way he holds you. You nod, swallowing hard. “So good, Daryl.”
His breath turns heavier, warmer against your skin as he pulls you back onto him, slow and steady, letting you feel every inch as he buries himself inside you. His grip tightens at your hip, steadying you, holding you exactly where he wants you, but the real weight—the one that sends a full-body shudder through you—is his arm, still firm around your neck. You back arches against him, leaning into the muscles of his forearm as he holds you into the crook of his elbow.
“There you go,” he rasps, his voice strained, wrecked. His hips rock forward again, sinking deeper, stretching you, and a ragged moan slips from your lips. His grip flexes, and he presses a kiss to the side of your neck, lips warm, tongue flicking against your pulse before he nips at it, dragging his teeth over the sensitive skin. “Knew you’d take me so good.”
Your nails dig harder into his arm, fingers curling around his wrist where he holds you, your breath hitching as he starts to move. Slow at first, testing, drawing himself out before pushing back in, each roll of his hips deliberate, each thrust pressing deeper, setting a rhythm that already has you unraveling.
His arm around your neck tightens, just slightly, just enough to make your next breath stutter, to make the heat between your legs coil tighter. His breath is hot against your ear, rough and ragged, the tension in his body coiled so tight you can feel it thrumming through his chest, through the arm braced around your throat.
"Fuck, sweetheart," he groans, his voice raw, nearly pained as he rocks into you. "You don’t even know what you’re doin’ to me."
His hips move with slow precision at first, teasing, working you open, dragging out every sensation like he wants you to feel him, to know that he’s the one making you come apart like this. His fingers dig into your hip, pulling you back onto him, the blunt head of his cock pressing deep with every thrust.
"Been thinkin’ about this," he murmurs, his teeth grazing the shell of your ear. "Bout how tight you’d feel, how fuckin’ perfect you’d take me. You feel that, baby?" He drives into you harder then, pushing you flush against the counter, stealing your breath with the sheer force of it. "Feels better than I ever imagined."
Your nails claw at his arm, breath ragged as his grip tightens just slightly around your neck, just enough to hold you there, to keep you at his mercy. His hips snap into you then, harder and faster now that you’ve adjusted to the sheer stretch of his cock.
"Shit," he groans, pressing an open-mouthed kiss against your jaw, sucking at the delicate skin before biting down, his voice going strained. "You like this, don’t ya? Bein’ held like this? Wrapped up in me, nowhere to go."
You whimper, pushing back into him, chasing the heat, the pressure, the way he’s unraveling you piece by piece.
His free hand slides down, dipping between your legs, his fingers finding you slick and swollen, rubbing slow, purposeful circles that make your knees shake.
"Fuck, look at you," he mutters, pressing his forehead to the side of your head, his breath coming harder now. "Gettin’ all worked up, takin’ it so damn well." His fingers flick over your clit, pressing just right, and you let out a broken moan. "That’s it, baby. Let me hear you. Been dreamin’ ‘bout these sounds."
His thrusts grow rougher, deeper, and the tension in your belly coils tight, too tight, everything building.
Daryl feels it.
"Yeah," he breathes, his voice shaking now, wrecked with how good you feel around him. "I know, sweetheart. Feels like your body’s beggin’ for it, huh?" His lips drag over your jaw, his hips pounding into you now, chasing that high. "Wanna cum all over me, don’t ya?"
The coil snaps at his words, white-hot and blinding as his arm tightens, stealing the breath from you completely. Your entire body goes taut as pleasure crashes over you, so sharp and overwhelming as your lungs scream for air. Your walls flutter around him, squeezing tight, and Daryl groans deep in his chest, his rhythm going sloppy, erratic.
"Shit, you’re milkin’ me, baby," he groans, his fingers moving to grip your hips, "Goddamn, you feel like fuckin’ heaven."
He holds you, hips pinning you against the counter as he buries himself deep, shuddering against you as he spills inside you.
His hold around your neck finally eases, his hand smoothing over your collarbone, his lips pressing soft, lingering kisses against the side of your neck as both of you come down together.
"You alright?" His voice is quieter now, rough around the edges, but there’s something tender in it, something real.
You exhale shakily, your body still humming from the aftershocks, a slow, blissed-out smile creeping across your lips. "Yeah. That was… that was so hot."
Daryl huffs out a small, breathless laugh, pressing a lingering kiss against the side of your neck. His hands keep roaming, slow and absentminded, smoothing over your waist, tracing lazy circles along your hips, like he doesn’t want to let go just yet.
"Yeah?" He nuzzles into your shoulder, his lips grazing your damp skin. "Ain’t never tried it before." His voice is warm, a little smug, but softer than before, like he’s still coming down from it too.
You hum, stretching slightly against him, still pressed chest to back. "Me neither. Somethin’ about you, Dixon."
Daryl makes a sound deep in his throat, something pleased, something almost knowing. His fingers tighten just slightly at your hip, his lips brushing the curve of your jaw before he murmurs, "Ain’t gonna be the last time, neither."
“Promise?” you chuckle, turning in his arms to snake your hands around his neck.
Daryl smirks, slow and lazy, his breath warm against your skin as he tilts his head, letting your fingers slip into his hair. His hands slide lower, resting at the curve of your back, holding you against him like he has no intention of letting go.
"Yeah," he murmurs, voice rough but sure. "Promise."
His lips find yours again, softer this time, slower, like he’s savoring it, like he’s already thinking about the next time, about how he’ll take his time with you, about all the things he wants to do.

BAD HABIT // JJK
02 | the glow // series m.list
//
the palace is bigger than you remember.
it swallows you whole the moment you step inside, all high ceilings and gleaming marble. there’s a lingering scent of something familiar in the air… you can’t quite put it into words, but it was strongest when you passed by the dorms. it helped, somehow, easing the ache that had settled in your chest the moment you woke up. the pain is duller now, but it’s still there, tucked between your ribs like something waiting.
in an odd way, there’s a weight to being here. like a quiet hum of anticipation pressing against your skin, thick as the murmurs of the servants and students around you. their voices hush as you pass, eyes lingering, curiosity practically tangible in the air. everyone knew you were coming.
everyone had been waiting.
and yet, none of it feels easy.
this is your new reality. this is home.
you inhale, slow and deep, as if that might help settle the twisting in your stomach.
“nervous?”
you turn your head, meeting a pair of warm, playful eyes. jimin stands beside you, hands tucked into his pockets, watching you like he already knows the answer.
“should i be?” you ask, adjusting the strap of your bag.
he hums, tilting his head. “mhmm. depends. namjoon thought it’d be better if i was the first to meet you, instead of overwhelming you all at once.”
you raise a brow. “the class president himself couldn’t make it? i’m disappointed.”
“are you about to pull the princess card?”
you scoff. “i’m not a princess.”
“tomato tamato.”
jimin grins, his steps light against the polished floors. within the first ten minutes of knowing him, you’ve come to find that this is his style—effortless, charming, the kind of person who moves like the world exists to entertain him. he’s easy to read. you like that.
“he’s dealing with something,” he says. “jungkook’s not feeling well, so everyone’s on damage control.”
before you can ask what that means, he pushes open a set of double doors, stepping into a room that buzzes with conversation. the shift is immediate—it’s distinct.
suddenly, everyone snaps to you.
everyone knows who you are, even if they’ve never met you.
but all their focus lingers on the center of the room, where a group is gathered around one person, their voices hushed, urgent.
“hyung, this is serious,” taehyung murmurs.
“you’re being dramatic,” yoongi mutters, arms crossed.
“he’s right, though,” namjoon sighs, adjusting his glasses. frustration sits heavy in his expression. “this isn’t normal.”
jungkook exhales sharply.
“i feel weird.”
his voice is edged, sharp with frustration, and the group around him leans in like they’re piecing together a puzzle with missing parts. he looks irritated—arms crossed over his chest, shoulders tense, like he’s fighting something unseen.
“maybe you’re just sick,” jin suggests. “or maybe you’re finally developing a conscience.”
“is this what you saw in your vision?” jungkook hisses. “hyung, i can’t fucking breathe.”
the boys look at jin with pleading eyes.
“what’s going on?” jungkook practically begs. “i can’t—”
“wait it out,” jin sighs. “i need you to trust me.”
jungkook clenches his jaw, frustration simmering just beneath his skin. his fingers curl into fists against his lap, nails pressing into his palms, grounding himself in the sharp sting. he wants to argue—wants to demand answers, to do something other than just sit here feeling like his body is at war with itself—but he knows jin wouldn’t say it unless he meant it.
so he swallows it down.
he forces his shoulders to relax, inhales deep, measured, like he’s trying to pull the tension from his muscles with every breath. it doesn’t help much. his chest still feels tight, his pulse still thrums unevenly beneath his skin, but he lets himself trust jin. waits, even though it feels impossible.
the pencil—his pencil—spins faster and faster, a blur above his desk. he can’t stop it. can’t control the way his fingers twitch, the way his breath turns shallow.
jungkook is fucking afraid.
is this death? it feels like it. something gnaws at his chest, unfamiliar and unrelenting, sinking its teeth into him like it refuses to let go.
then—
a snort. light, amused. like this is funny.
“see? this is why i brought you,” jimin muses beside you, and jungkook’s head snaps up.
your eyes meet his.
as your gazes lock, for a moment, nothing else exists.
the world narrows, the air thins, the space between you humming with something unspoken. his brows knit together, lips pressing into a line, dark eyes holding something sharp, something unreadable. the tightness in your chest disappears as if it never happened. jungkook’s chest lightens too.
his pencil, which had been floating idly above his desk, stills in the air.
and then it drops.
the room is silence.
everyone is too afraid to move. everyone is too confused to do so… it’s silent in ways that are painful yet joyous. it’s like the weight of the moment pressing down on the room, on your lungs, on your chest. a breath catches somewhere—yours, maybe his. your fingers twitch at your sides.
jimin claps his hands together, slicing through the tension like a knife. “alright, everyone, this is ___. princess, divinity, future pain in all our asses, i assume.” his smile curves as he turns to you. “anything you wanna add?”
you blink, pulling yourself from the fog of jungkook’s stare. the weight of all their gazes settles over you, expectant. waiting.
“it’s nice to meet you,” you say, voice steady despite the way your pulse flutters. “i hope we get along.”
they approach one by one, offering greetings, and introductions. they’re warm, curious, kind in a way that makes the tension in your shoulders ease, just slightly.
but jungkook remains seated.
his hands are restless, curling into loose fists against his desk. his chest feels tight again, heartbeat uneven in a way he can’t explain. he wants to look away, to ignore the way the room feels different, to pretend his hands don’t tremble in his lap.
but then you move toward him.
slow, deliberate. each step pressing into the silence, making it heavier, stretching it thin. you crouch beside his desk, reaching down. his breath catches. you pick up his pencil, fingers curling around the smooth wood, and then—
your hand extends, offering it back to him. he stares at you for a moment. before you know it, his fingers graze yours.
suddenly, the room is bathed in light.
not just light—something deeper, something that breathes.
it spills from the space between you, not blinding but radiant. it’s a warmth that doesn’t burn but glows.
a glow completely unfurling from the point of contact—curling around your fingers, your wrists, your very existence. it threads itself through the air, weaving around you like something ancient, something unbreakable.
it doesn’t just touch your skin—it sinks beneath it. it hums through your veins, nestles into the quietest parts of you, places you didn’t even know were waiting to be filled.
jungkook stills.
his breath stutters, lips parting as something inside him clenches—pulls—tightens like a fist around his ribs. his heartbeat pounds against his sternum, erratic and desperate, trying to match the rhythm of yours. he can feel it, feel you—not just the warmth of your skin, but the weight of your presence, the way it settles into him like you belong there.
the air crackles with something new. something irreversible.
invisible string.
the glow lingers even as the light begins to soften, dimming to a quiet shimmer. the weight of it still sits heavy in the air, pressing into the silence that follows.
slowly, the room exhales.
the walls settle. the floor steadies. the afterglow seeps into your skin, fading but never gone, a quiet promise beneath the surface.
your heart glows.
his does too.
everyone in the room blinks—in complete disbelief of what had just happened. everyone saw it. everyone saw how the strings tied and how you and jungkook are now one.
soulmates.
finally, you breathe in.
the air shifts with it, carrying something weightier than oxygen, something that settles deep into your lungs. jungkook feels it like a whisper against his own skin, like the rise and fall of your chest is tethered to his own.
your eyes find each other, and the world narrows.
it’s a pull—gentle but undeniable, a force older than time itself. like gravity, like fate, like the spaces between you were never meant to exist.
you want him closer.
he needs to be closer.
but neither of you move.
instead, you stand there, breath caught in the space between, fingertips aching with the weight of something unsaid, untouched. longing lingers in the air, quiet and unrelenting.
so close.
not close enough.
in the midst of it, jin exhales. his voice is low and certain as he says; "told you.”
“told us what?”
“it’s golden."

Can't find earlier reblogs to better direct my point at... well, you know.
I am unreasonably upset by people who write long texts refusing to even attempt to sound serious. Pardon my language, but what the fuck is "r" doing in a response containing multiple sentences, arguably multiple paragraphs? Are three letter words too long?
I feel confident making this point because this style of writing is so clearly intentional. Going around mocking grammar mistakes or things that are obviously the result of not paying enough attention. I'm not expecting anyone to proofread their social media comments.
But this to me appears as a deliberate style choice, and this is not the first time I'm noticing it. I think it's supposed to sound... cutesy? To give of the vibe that "hey guys, it's not that serious. Look, I'm not even putting in the capitalization or apostrophes or bothering to write put three letter words. It's all silly!"
And it feels demeaning to read. Like the person writing like that is not taking the people they are talking to seriously. Quite literally it is a case of not treating the conversation or the people being responded to as worthy of a properly phrased response. In this instance, it shows how (un)serious some people think transmisogyny is.
"Trans women are doing feminism to repent for the original sin of manhood!" being the line of attack from that genderqueerdykes account is just so ...
Hahahahahahahaha
It's funny. The Lemkin Institute put out a statement today that GCs hate trans women due to "misandry". It was taken down after an outcry from transfems.
Because we refuse to be tokenized, to not be centered in the topic of our own oppression, to be used as a shield for men.
The fear of the tranny finally having a voice, finally having an avenue, a means of redressing millennia of utter epistemic erasure.
You are right to be scared.
Your idols will be ash beneath our soles :)

i am such a self indulgent writer! 😓
__
It had been a week since you asked for a break. It tore you apart to even ask such a thing, and it wasn’t great that you weren’t being honest with how you felt. You were emotionally overwhelmed, Dave was late to get another date, and you just wanted Dave to ask why you were upset. When you said it, you regretted it immediately but the damage was done. Dave sighed and left with one last kiss to your forehead and said to come to him when you were ready.
You were exhausted from Dave being late to everything. Every date, study session, every single thing you wanted him to be there for, he was late with a terrible excuse like the traffic. He rode a bike, for Christ's sake. You didn’t want a break, you wanted Dave to be honest and find a way to be honest with him back.
You knew this wasn’t a healthy way to start this conversation, but fuck were you an emotional wreck after being hung out to dry for the 5th time this month. Your days blended together, honestly it hasn’t even felt like a full week. It feels more like you have been droning on like a lifeless office woman.
Now, it was 7 p.m., and you had your taser in your right pocket as you walked through the streets of New York to return to your shoddy apartment with three roommates. It was past sunset, and your boots were thudding against asphalt and concrete as you crossed the streets to Broome Res Hall. You shrugged everything off immediately, got inside, and trudged to your room, your house slippers scrolling on the floors.
After hanging everything up or tossing it into the hamper, you quickly showered and were out in minutes. Damp hair trickled water against your skin, and you tugged a smaller towel around your neck to take the damp instead of your sleep shirt. Your laptop and various worksheets lie across your desk, filing through them at insane speeds so you can go to bed. Your playlist of any alt-rock band played off your laptop at a loud enough volume to not hear the jiggling of your window.
A loud knock came, and you screamed at the sight of a masked individual at your window. He yanked off the mask to reveal Dave Lizewsk. Instinctively.c you ran towards the window at the sight of his beat up face. It almost distracted you from the bright green suit with yellow accenting lines. Your eyes jumped around, his bloody face, green and yellow suit, the mask in his hand, and back to his face.
“Dave- what the shit!” You shouted as you opened the window latch and yanked him inside from the fire escape. He ducked in, banging his head on the window, but ducked in nonetheless.
You purposely distanced yourself from him. You wanted to grab him and inspect his entire body for wounds, but fuck you needed space that’s what you said. A gray zip-up fell off one shoulder as you crossed your arms protectively over your chest. Your heart was manically pumping as you calmed down.
“I can’t do this anymore,” Dave whined with a crack in his voice. Finally, in the light of your room and a real chance to look at him and his attire, it clicked, You recognized the suit; I mean, every person did. Everyone knew who Kick-Ass was. Only there was blood everywhere.
“Dave… why are you in Kick-Ass’s suit?”
“Baby, please let me explain,” he begged as he walked closer. Dave was never aggressive; his doe-eyes brimmed with water, and his hands were open gently as he tried to beg for acceptance. Regardless, you took another step back. It felt like a stab to both of your hearts, and Dave knew you didn’t. The way your eyes watched him with remorse, watching blood drip from his forehead down to his cheek.
“You… your drawer still has a shirt and sweats, I’m sure. I’ll go get a first aid kit,” you said, creating the distance again.
The distance wasn’t for Dave to remember their break; it was to stop you from running into his arms and holding him, asking who kicked the shit out of him. The way you saw this, it was going two ways.
A) Dave was going to say he was Kick-Ass.
B) Dave was going to say he went to some convention and got his shit rocked.
You couldn’t decide which made more sense, but the inexplicable amount of times he’s had random bruises or even scarring from “old dumb things” he did as a kid made a lot more sense.
You needed this distance to pretend you didn’t want to crawl into his arms and kiss him like mad. He looked so pretty, even with his face bloodied; you couldn’t help but want to kiss him stupidly.
Returning to your room quietly with a glass of water and a warmed-up hot pocket, Dave sat at your desk, reviewing some of your math assignments. He was writing on the sides with a pencil.
“Dave?”
“Oh, sorry… I was… helping you with some of the stuff here. I know you aren’t a fan of math,” Dave said awkwardly. He set the pencil down and spun the chair to face you. It felt so typical having him back here. A swell of warmth flushed your body as you watched his bruised and bloodied face face you. You cleared your mind with a quick blink.
“Come sit on the bed. I’ll fix you up there,” you said quietly, handing him the hot pocket on a paper plate and a glass of water. Dave wore an old, shoddy navy blue T-shirt, the arm hem cutting nicely around his biceps and gray sweats. He devoured the hot pocket–a typical college kid.
He had to know those were your favorite sweats on him. There’s no way he didn’t. You tore your eyes away, took a small stool from your makeup desk, and cleaned off his wounds.
“Can I explain… please,” Dave asked quietly as you stood above him. Your hands carefully worked around his face and forehead, and the blood was still sticky as you took small alcohol wipes to his skin. Orangey-red blood smears dragged across his forehead and temple.
“Dave,” You started slowly.
“Please, I’ll explain everything. I know you wanted space, but— god, space from you felt like my world was ending,” Dave said with a slight whine. He was killing you, and he was still so undeniably cute.
“You’re Kick-Ass,” you asked quietly. He met your eyes and nodded slightly.
“Kick-Ass came out four years ago, Dave. You’re telling me you’ve been Kick-Ass since you were in high school?”
“It was dumb, and it wasn’t a lot. I took a lot of breaks because… I mean, why wouldn’t I? But you know Hit-Girl?”
“I heard about her.”
“She’s like my sister… I got her dad killed when she was like 13, so I try to be there for her,” Dave began quietly. “She came back into town and needed Kick-Ass.”
You glanced down at his eyes before tearing them away to grab out bandaids. A hum left your lips. The tone and inflection of the hum was neither impressed nor dissatisfied. You refused to be jealous of some kid, but if she was taking more of his time and priority, what? Dave could tell it was off. He was always good at that.
“It started before we started… dating-dating. Before we made it official, like the day before.”
“And you’ve been helping her this entire time but put me on the back burner?” You bit. Admittedly, your tone was a lot meaner than you intended it to be. Your eyes shot down to Dave with regret. “I’m sorry— I didn’t mean it to sound so mean. You have to understand why I asked for the break, though.”
Dave, whose eyes were watery from the proximity of alcohol to his wound and likely your comment, just nodded.
“I should have been honest from the start,” he added. “I’m sorry, I just want you back already… I was hoping a week was enough, but if it’s not—”
“Dave, I just needed time to breathe.”
“No, you didn’t. I get it. I was being a bad boyfriend,” Dave shook his head. He wasn’t a bad boyfriend, but you didn’t appreciate being left behind. It was always like that, with Marty or Todd covering or giving each other a look at each other as if asking What excuse this time?
You knew you would not get anywhere if you didn’t admit your feelings. You dragged the desk chair over and sat before Dave while you put away the first aid kit objects. Your tone was quiet and meek. “I asked for a break because I thought you were cheating. I hoped you’d just rip off the bandage and call it quits.”
His silence horrified you, and you couldn’t look away from the small white plastic box. The latch wouldn't press into the receiving end to keep it closed. The plastic rattled until Dave took it from your hands, and your face met his abdomen. He smelled like sweat. Even with his suit sweat, you smiled softly into the hug. Dave took your hands while he slid down, kneeling in front of you with damp cheeks.
“I never wanted you to feel like that–baby, I’m so sorry. I’m sorry I wasn’t honest earlier,” he whispered. His lips kissed your knuckles, putting his freshly bandaged forehead into your thighs with a despondent sigh. “I love you. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you I was Kick-Ass. I want to be more honest with you.”
Before you could even get to it, Dave looked up at you. His cheek pressed against your thigh with tear streaks, “I want you back.”
“Dave–”
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have–” Before Dave could try to stand and pull away, you took your hands from his and grabbed his face to kiss him. You pulled off and ducked your head beside his face, unwilling to meet his eyes. “Dave. I– I needed answers… I was scared.”
“Do you still want answers?”
You took your face away from him, and looked back perplexed. “You… already explained it?”
“I’m sorry I was so out of touch with you, I never want you to feel that way again. Hit-Girl has always just been my little sister, I swear,” Dave whispered.
“I—“
“I’ll do anything,” he added lastly. You smiled down at him, and pulled him to sit back on your bed. You sat beside him and pulled your arm around his shoulder to lean his head into your neck.
“Dave, you’ve explained enough. It’s okay.”
“Promise?” He hummed into your neck. He honestly fought the urge to pull you into bed and cuddle you into oblivion.
“Promise.” Dave threw himself into you more if it was possible. His arms wrapped tightly around your torso as his lips kissed up your neck to your face.
Between kisses, he input each word. “I missed you so much…” He kissed your lips, without giving you a chance to return it, he was pulling away and mumbling into your neck again. “Missed holding you and kissing you.”
“Then can we keep kissing?” You asked teasingly. You hooked your finger beneath his chin to look up at you. A small giggle left your lips as you met his eyes, he was lacking his silver wire glasses. “Can you even see when you’re in that suit? You don’t wear your glasses when you’re Kick-Ass.”
“I squint really hard all the time,” he answered with a whine.
“We should get you some contacts then, love. Or lasik,” you teased. Your fingers held his chin tightly before pulling his chin to yours to kiss him softly. Dave whined at your teasing before kissing you back.
Dave would never admit to any of his friends, or anyone else in the world that he liked sitting on your lap. It wasn’t a surprise when he kneeled over your thighs and pushed you into the bed with him on top of you. His hands felt up the edge of the gray sweater and grazed around your tummy. His lips fell from yours, instead focusing on your neck now. His hand hooked onto the zipper’s tag to reveal your chest more.
“Missed the way you smell,” he whispered before biting down into your collarbone. A loud moan of shock left your lips and your hands moved to grasp his hair.
“I heard some guys asked for your number…” Dave mumbled with his teeth in your collarbones. His teeth grazed away, nipping up your neck. His next target was biting in the soft pulse point next. When you mumbled his name out, Dave couldn’t help but bite harder. “Todd told me… it happened in your guys literature class. I almost found him myself and…”
He laughed before pulling away, a glint of satisfaction in his eyes. “Well, I almost kicked his ass, as yours truly.”
He leaned back down, his hands tugged down the loose fabric of your zip-up to reveal your breasts. “But I didn’t, cause I’m good,” Dave added before he returned licking and kissing down your chest. “Dave…” drool leaked from his mouth slightly as he sucked around your chest mindlessly.
“Mhm..?” His hum vibrated you, your hips ground up into his sweats. He laughed again before taking one breast into his hand and jiggling it. Dave wrapped his lips around the hardened nipple and groaned around it. Your thighs squeezed together as you felt a pulse of dampness between your panties and your pussy lips.
“You're a tease.”
He took his lips off, keeping his teeth wrapped around the nipple, “I learned from you.”
He did. You taught him all of this when you sucked his cock the first few times. Weirdly enough, Dave was overly attentive to the way you sucked his cock. He loved it, watched like you were a magician. Your hands lifted his face off your breast and reached to take his t-shirt off. “Lie down,” you commanded as you sat up on your right elbow.
Dave has no issue following your command. He slinked off your waist and sat in the middle of your bed. You kneeled up and shed your sleep shirt off, lifting one knee, you trapped Dave’s thighs between yours.
You dipped down, kissing his face and doing the same pattern with him. Your teeth sank into his pulse point as he whined out, his heart rate raced beneath your tongue. A metallic taste entered your lips and you pulled away.
“Fuck… Dave, I’m sorry,” you whispered. You got ready to stand up and grab your small medical kit you left by the foot of the bed. Before you could even leave his thighs, his hands clamped down on your waist and kept you there.
A bulge made eye contact with you before Dave did. “Leave it,” he whispered.
Your lips gaped at the sight of Dave’s neck, a small bead of red trickled down. There wasn’t anything more, but his flush red face and boner told you enough. Your hands touched down his abs to the tip of his hard on, a small whimper released from your renewed boyfriend.
Leaning down beside his left ear, you taunted as you play with his cockhead through the gray sweats. “You like when I bite you Davey? When I make you bleed?”
“Yes… ma’am,” he whispered with a nod. You left his ear, hovering your head above him to give him a gentle kiss. “Mhm… my good boy aren’t you? Always so obedient, so good for me hm?”
Dave limply nodded, his hips grinding into your hand. You gave him some leeway. Taking his elastic band with you as you slid down his legs.
There were no boxers below the gray sweats. Your eyes shot up, his eyes watching you with either horror or pure lust. “Did I speak too soon, have you been bad? Where are your boxers?”
“Don’t… I don’t wear them with the suit on sometimes… It’s uncomfortable,” Dave answered shakily. You tutted, before pulling back his foreskin and licking up from his balls to his tip. You spat on his tip and sighed.
“Perhaps I should get a treat too, considering my goodboy isn’t all that good apparently,” You wondered out loud. Dave had no idea but just nodded. “Whatever you want.”
Your eyes squinted. “Ma’am.”
You smiled before getting off the bed and rolled down your shorts and lace white panties. “Those are my favorite,” Dave whispered quietly as he watched you intensely.
“Glad I wore them?”
“God I missed you,” he added with a puppy dog gaze and nod. You smiled, joining him back in bed. “God yes, please,” he whispered as your pelvis and pussy neared his face.
“Normally I prefer ma’am,” you said. Your face was towards his cock, your hand took it, letting hot spit dribble out your mouth and fall onto his tip. You finally took your seat before Dave could respond or cry. “But God works too.”
Dave hummed, his lips mumbling out. “Hold… thighs,” he said between sucking your cunt, trying to drink you dry.
“Mhm, go ahead,” you answered before lowering your lips onto his cock. He moaned as he hooked his arms around your thighs to smother him further. You groaned on his cockhead as you did your best to deepthroat him, never an easy task with him. His cock was damn near the size of your face while hard. He wasn’t thicker than normal, but his length took you out enough.
The room was full of crude slurping and sucking sounds from the two of you, thank god your roommates were out partying instead of staying in for the night. Not more than a few moments later, Dave was crying between your thighs.
“Maam I wanna cum, please please,” he cried against your clit. You waited, you entirely stopped, his cock lodged near your tonsils. Testing him to see if he remembered what you said earlier. His mind spun, feeling you gagging slightly around his tip. “Please God, please make me cum. You’re the only one who can make me cum God.”
You hummed around his cock, resuming your sucking and licking. Your hand jerked off the rest of his cock you couldn’t reach. “God, yes I love you,” Dave whimpered as his thumb made contact with your clit. His tongue ravished your hole, it felt constant but so fast that time was blurring together. Your hips ground into his face slightly with moans around his cock as you neared completion.
“Mhm.. Dabbve,” you hummed around his cock.
“Can I cum, god please?” his voice asked small as he fingered your clit with his thumb. “Please God, I know you’re close I can feel it.”
“Come on, Dabbve, come for me,” you responded with his tip in your mouth. You sucked down again, lodging him in your mouth near your throat as you squeezed around his tongue one last time. Cum spilled down your throat, you did your best to make sure it wasn’t at an awkward angle that would make you choke. Your mouth was full of cum, and couldn’t keep taking it all. You pulled off and sat beside Dave, your thighs shaking from spending so much time bent over his face.
“Fuck…” Dave whispered, cum still trickling down his softened cock. You sigh heavily, cum was also down the side of your lips. You leaned over, kissing his lips softly, exchanging some of his cum with him.
“Babe,” he groaned as he took some down his throat.
“You deserve it,” you said with a wink. You took the rest from your lips and dragged it across his nipples. “I just came like a water fountain, and you’re trying to fuck me again?”
“What— did you not jerk off this entire week?” You asked as you laid beside him. He sat up and shook his head no with an embarrassed smile. “Why do you think I came in like 3 minutes?”
“Cause my head game is wonderful?” Dave giggled and leaned down to kiss you softly.
“It is,” he replied. The taste of each other on your lips as you swapped spit. It was slower now, softer, but still messy with all the liquids on their faces. Your arms wrapped around his neck as you two kissed, happy flits of moans left you both.
“I love you,” he said into the kiss. You responded the same, with a large smile before giving one last big smooch to his lips. He pulled you by the waist to lie in front of him. “Please… God, can I have more of you?” Dave begged as he leaned to close the space between you. His needy eyes made you warm, and your pussy swell with warmth.
His cock was hard against your lower tummy. You couldn’t believe him, it’s like he was still a high school freak who jerked off three times daily.
“Fine.”
Dave didn’t waste any time with you, he had a whole week to make up for.

"YOU LISTENED." Agatha’s voice was velvet and steel, laced with amusement and unmistakable hunger. Her gaze dragged over you — slow, knowing, lingering on the bare skin of your thighs peeking from beneath your coat. She took a step closer, fingers brushing the belt at your waist, her smirk deepening as she tugged — just enough to loosen it. "Good girl."

You weren’t new to this.
The job, the money, the whole give them what they want, take what you need, and walk away thing. You had it down to a science. You knew how to read people, how to figure out exactly what they were looking for and play the part they wanted. It was easy. Simple. No emotions, no attachments, no mess.
But then there was her.
Agatha Harkness had been different from the start. The first time she hired you, you had expected the usual, maybe a drink, some small talk, a client who wanted to pretend there was more to this than just an exchange. But Agatha? She didn’t do small talk. She didn’t waste time.
She had taken one look at you, studied you with those dark, unreadable eyes, and smirked like she already knew exactly how the night would go. Like she had already decided how far she was going to push you. And the worst part?
She was right.
That night, she had left you wrecked. Not just satisfied — ruined.
You had walked away with sore thighs, a raw throat, and a pay-check big enough to make your head spin. You should have left it at that. Should have chalked it up to just one really good night with a really dangerous woman.
But then she called again. No discussion. No questions. Just a time, a room number, and the unspoken expectation that you would show up.
And against your better judgment, you did.
Only this time, you weren’t just going to show up. This time, you wanted to see just how much further she could break you.
You remembered something she had said the first time around, almost offhand but still deliberate in that way she did everything.
"Red suits you."
So you wore red.
Your best set — delicate lace, thin straps, garters and thigh-high stockings that made you feel like sin itself. And as the elevator carried you up to the top floor, heart pounding, pulse racing, you knew one thing for sure.
You weren’t just getting paid tonight.
You were getting owned.

The black car idled outside the grand hotel, its sleek design gleaming beneath the golden glow of the streetlights. You sat in the back seat, smoothing your hands over your thighs, nerves buzzing beneath your skin. The fabric of your long coat was soft, but it did nothing to still the pounding of your heart.
The driver hadn’t spoken much since picking you up from your apartment — just a clipped greeting and a quiet confirmation of the address before pulling away from the curb. You were grateful. Any attempt at conversation would have been wasted on you. Your mind was too preoccupied, too restless, too consumed by what awaited you on the top floor of this building.
Your breath hitched as you stepped out of the car, heels clicking softly against the pavement. The grand entrance of the hotel loomed ahead, its revolving doors ushering guests in and out with quiet efficiency. The warm air inside wrapped around you as you stepped through, a stark contrast to the crisp night air outside.
The lobby was a sight of wealth — high ceilings, polished marble floors, chandeliers dripping with crystal. The hum of quiet conversation surrounded you, but none of it registered. You walked with purpose, straight to the bank of elevators tucked near the back of the lobby.
Agatha’s message had been simple. A room number. A time. Nothing else.
Your fingers toyed with the belt of your coat as you waited for the elevator, a mix of nerves and anticipation coiling low in your stomach. You had dressed for her. The finest red lace and silk clung to your curves beneath your coat, the bra delicate yet daring, framing your breasts perfectly. The matching panties sat low on your hips, sheer enough to leave little to the imagination. Garters held up sheer thigh-high stockings, adding an extra layer of tease.
She would appreciate the effort. And then she would ruin it.
The elevator doors slid open with a soft chime, and you stepped inside, pressing the button for the top floor. The space was empty save for you, the only sound the soft hum of the elevator rising.
Your pulse quickened. You could already imagine the way she would look at you. The weight of her gaze, dark and knowing, as she took in every inch of you. The way she liked to test your limits, the way she devoured, possessed. She was dangerous in the most intoxicating way, and you had walked straight into her grasp.
Another chime. The doors opened.
The hallway was quiet, lined with plush carpeting that softened the sound of your steps. Each step forward sent another jolt of anticipation through you, every breath felt heavier. The door number burned in your mind.
And then, you were there.
Before you could knock, the door swung open.
Agatha stood in the doorway, bathed in the soft glow of the suite’s lighting. Her dark button-up was partially undone, sleeves rolled up to her forearms, revealing toned, elegant wrists. She looked effortless, but you knew better. Everything about her was intentional.
The moment the door clicked shut behind you, Agatha wasted no time. She had you pinned before you could take another breath, her strong hands pressing you back against the door, her body a solid wall of heat against yours. Her mouth crashed onto yours—hungry, claiming, her teeth scraping against your lower lip before she bit down just hard enough to make you gasp. She swallowed the sound with a satisfied hum, her tongue slipping past your lips as she deepened the kiss, rough yet tantalizingly slow, like she had all the time in the world to ruin you.
Her fingers trailed from your wrists, still trapped against the wood, down the length of your arms, her touch featherlight—teasing. By the time she reached your shoulders, she slid her fingers beneath the delicate straps of your red lace bra, pulling them down achingly slow, her mouth never leaving yours until she finally ripped herself away.
"Look at you," she murmured, stepping back just enough to take in the sight of you, her dark eyes raking over your body like she was devouring you whole. "Dressed up like a good little whore, just for me."
Heat flared through your body at the way she said it, dripping with amusement but edged with something dangerous, something that made your pulse stutter in your throat.
You barely had a second to react before she was on you again—her mouth hot against the curve of your jaw, trailing wet, open-mouthed kisses down your throat. Her hands were everywhere at once—sliding down your arms, gripping your hips, owning every inch of you as she backed you up toward the bed. You whimpered when she took one of your nipples into her mouth, sucking hard, her tongue circling the sensitive peak before her teeth grazed it just enough to make you jerk in her grasp.
"Mm, so fucking sensitive," she mused against your skin before switching to the other, her free hand rolling the abandoned nipple between her fingers. Your hips bucked reflexively against her, needing more, desperate for friction.
And fuck, you felt it. The thick, hard length of her cock pressing against your stomach through her slacks, the outline making your mouth water as you squirmed beneath her.
"Pathetic," Agatha laughed, the sound low and mocking, her fingers trailing down your stomach, stopping just at the waistband of your panties. She could feel how wet they were, her smirk widening as she pressed her fingers against the soaked lace, applying just enough pressure to make you moan. "This soaked already? And I haven't even touched you properly. Such a desperate little thing."
"Agatha, please—"
A sharp slap to your thigh cut you off, the sting making you whimper as your skin burned beneath her palm.
"Did I say you could fucking beg?" she growled, her tone dark, commanding. "You're so needy it’s pathetic. You don’t deserve my cock yet."
You let out a choked sound of frustration, your body aching for more, but she just smirked, dragging her fingers up the inside of your thigh, making you tremble.
Then, without warning, she dropped to her knees.
You gasped at the sudden shift, your breath hitching as she pressed a kiss to your hip, her mouth lingering over the thin straps of your panties. She breathed you in, her nose nudging against the damp lace before she let out a low, satisfied hum.
"Fucking filthy," she murmured, dragging her tongue over the wet fabric, slow and deliberate, tasting you through it. The friction was exquisite—a teasing, maddening pressure that made your thighs shake. She licked a second time, the heat of her mouth soaking through, her fingers digging into your hips as she held you still.
You whimpered, your hands gripping the sheets behind you as your hips jerked up, chasing her mouth. But she pulled away just enough to deny you.
"Patience," she scolded, voice thick with amusement, before reaching up and undoing the garter straps excruciatingly slow, watching your face the entire time.
And then—fuck.
She hooked her fingers into the waistband and pulled your panties down, dragging them down your legs inch by inch, her lips brushing along your thighs as she went. And then, instead of tossing them aside—
She brought them to her mouth.
Your breath caught as she slid the drenched fabric between her teeth, her dark eyes locked onto yours as she pulled them taut, letting them drag over her tongue. She moaned like she was savoring the taste, her smirk never fading as she finally removed them—only to shove them into your mouth.
"Since you can't seem to stop moaning like a desperate slut," she taunted, her fingers trailing down your exposed cunt. "Now you can keep quiet."
You whimpered against the soaked lace in your mouth as she finally pressed two fingers between your folds, spreading you open. She groaned at how wet you were, her thumb finding your clit and rubbing in slow, devastating circles.
"Fuck, look at this mess," she muttered, her fingers teasing your entrance, just barely pushing in before pulling away. "So fucking needy for me. Do you even have a single ounce of dignity left?"
You tried to respond, but your voice was muffled by the panties in your mouth.
Agatha laughed. "That’s what I thought."
And then, without warning, she thrust two fingers inside of you.
Your entire body arched off the bed, a muffled scream escaping past the gag as she filled you all at once, stretching you open with zero hesitation. She set a relentless pace immediately, her fingers driving into you with obscene, wet sounds that only seemed to fuel her amusement.
"Listen to you," she groaned, her free hand palming her cock through her slacks. "Taking my fingers so fucking well. You were made to be used like this."
Her thumb pressed against your clit, circling in time with the thrusts, sending sharp jolts of pleasure racing through your core. The pressure was unbearable, the pleasure so intense that your legs started shaking.
"You're gonna come already, aren’t you?" she mocked, watching you struggle. "Go on. Make a mess."
And then—fuck, fuck, fuck.
She angled her fingers just right, curling them against that perfect spot inside of you while pressing harder against your clit. Your entire body locked up before pleasure exploded through you, a sharp, overwhelming rush that had you squirting all over her fingers, your release dripping down your thighs as you writhed beneath her.
Agatha groaned as she watched you come undone, fucking you through it, her pace unrelenting as she worked you through every wave. "That's it. So fucking messy for me."
When she finally pulled her fingers out, they were dripping. She brought them to her lips, eyes locked onto yours as she sucked them clean, humming at the taste.
Then she stood, undoing her slacks, letting them pool at her feet.
Your breath caught at the sight of her thick, hard cock springing free, the tip glistening. You reached for it immediately, but she caught your wrist, pinning it back against the mattress with a warning glare.
"You don’t get to touch until I say so," she growled, leaning over you, pressing the heavy length against your overstimulated clit, making you whimper. "And you will take every fucking inch."
And fuck, you knew she meant it.
Every single word.
Agatha’s cock drags against your slick folds, teasing, the head catching on your clit with every slow, deliberate stroke. The obscene, wet sounds fill the room, mixing with your breathy whimpers and the low, guttural hum of amusement from her lips. She’s playing with you, watching the way you tremble beneath her, the way your thighs try to clamp together, only to be forced apart by her strong grip.
"Spit." The command is sharp, leaving no room for hesitation.
Your lips part instantly, tongue pushing forward as a warm strand of saliva drips onto her waiting fingers. She smears it over her cock, mixing it with the slick beads of pre-cum already glistening at the tip. A slow, shuddering breath leaves her as she fists herself, pumping with languid strokes, eyes heavy-lidded as she watches you. A few stray drops spill onto your stomach, smearing across your skin, and marking you.
She lines herself up again, pressing the swollen tip against your entrance but not pushing in. Instead, she leans in close, mouth ghosting over yours, her breath hot and teasing.
"You want it?" she murmurs, smirking as she rubs herself against you, teasing, taunting. "Say it. Beg for it."
"Please," you gasp, fingers digging into the sheets. "Please, Agatha, I need—"
The words cut off in a sharp cry as she thrusts into you in one smooth motion, burying herself to the hilt. The stretch is instant, overwhelming — your walls clenching desperately around her thick cock as she fills you completely.
But she doesn’t give you time to adjust.
She sets a ruthless pace from the start, each powerful thrust driving deep, punching the air from your lungs as she claims you. The slap of skin on skin echoes through the room, the mattress creaking beneath the force of her movements. Your back arches, head falling back against the pillows as wave after wave of pleasure crashes through you.
"Feel that?" she growls, grabbing your wrist and guiding your hand down to your stomach. She presses your palm flat against your lower abdomen, right where she’s buried so deep inside you. "Feel me stretching you out? Fucking you open?"
The sensation is dizzying — you can feel the thick, hard outline of her cock through your own skin, feel the way she moves inside you, relentless and unyielding. Your body is burning, electric, the pressure coiling tight in your core with every brutal thrust.
"You’re squeezing me so fucking tight," Agatha groans, her fingers bruising against your hips as she fucks into you harder, deeper. "Like your body's desperate to milk me dry."
The words send a violent shudder through you, the pleasure teetering on the edge of something devastating.
"That’s it," she pants, her grip tightening as she slams into you harder. "Come for me, you filthy little thing — fucking soak me."
It’s too much. The overwhelming fullness, the sharp slap of her hips against yours, the way her cock presses against that perfect spot inside you — it sends you spiralling. Your body seizes, the orgasm ripping through you like a lightning strike, white-hot and all-consuming.
Fuck.
A strangled cry breaks from your lips as the pleasure turns into something explosive — your walls clenching down in rhythmic, desperate spasms, forcing liquid heat to gush from you, soaking Agatha’s cock, your thighs, and the sheets beneath you. The release is violent, messy, your body shuddering uncontrollably as the pleasure crashes over you in waves, each one dragging you under deeper.
Agatha curses under her breath, watching as you fall apart, watching the way you soak her cock, your slick dripping down onto her thighs. Her movements grow erratic, her breath ragged as she slams into you one final time, burying herself to the hilt as her own pleasure overtakes her.
A deep, guttural groan rumbles from her chest as she comes, filling you with heat. You can feel it — the thick warmth spilling deep inside, coating your insides. As if it was seeping into every inch of you. She doesn’t pull out, just grinds against you, making sure every drop stays buried within you.
Your body is still trembling, aftershocks pulsing through your core, your skin flushed and feverish. Agatha finally collapses against you, her cock still inside, pressing a searing kiss to your jaw, her breath still ragged as she murmurs against your ear:
"Mine."
Agatha pulls out slowly, deliberately, watching with dark, predatory eyes as your walls clench around nothing, your body still trembling from the force of your release. A satisfied smirk curls at the corner of her lips as she watches the thick spill of her cum start to leak out of you, glistening as it drips onto your thighs.
"Messy little thing," she muses, voice dripping with amusement and something darker, something possessive. Her fingers trail down your stomach, teasing over the sensitive, overstimulated skin before she presses two fingers against your entrance, spreading you open just enough to watch more of her cum seep out.
"Don’t waste it," she commands, and when you hesitate, she grabs your wrist, guiding your hand down. "Use your fingers. Push it back in."
Your breath stutters, but you do as you're told, your own fingers gathering the warmth of her release, feeling it slick and sticky against your skin before pressing it back inside, your walls fluttering around the intrusion. The act is filthy and it makes you burn with humiliation and arousal all at once.
Agatha hums approvingly, dragging her thumb over your bottom lip, her smirk widening. "That’s a good girl."
But she isn’t done with you.
"On your knees."
Your body obeys before your mind fully catches up, slipping off the bed and sinking onto the floor. The shift makes more of her spend trickle down your thighs, and Agatha notices; her gaze flicking down, her smirk deepening.
"Open your mouth," she orders, tilting your chin up with two fingers.
The second your lips part, she grips the base of her cock and taps the heavy length against your tongue. She’s still hard, impossibly thick, coated in a mix of your slick and her own release. The taste is intoxicating — salty and musky. The scent clings to her skin, warm and heady, something rich and masculine with the faintest hint of sweat.
You could get used to this.
Agatha doesn’t ease you into it. She grips the back of your head and pushes forward, the thick head stretching your lips wide as she sinks deep, pressing against your tongue. The intrusion makes your throat tighten, and she groans at the feeling, her other hand coming to rest heavy on the back of your neck.
"That’s it. Take it," she growls, rolling her hips forward, pushing deeper until your nose nearly brushes the coarse, dark hair at the base of her cock. There’s just enough of it for you to feel against your skin, soft yet undeniably masculine, a reminder of how utterly she’s claiming you.
Your fingers twitch at your sides before you reach up, cupping her balls — heavy, full, sensitive under your touch. You can feel the heat of them against your palm, the weight of them tightening slightly as she thrusts into your mouth.
"Look at you," Agatha sneers, pulling back just enough to let you gasp for air before she thrusts forward again, setting a punishing rhythm. "Nothing but a desperate little cock-sleeve for me, aren’t you? So fucking needy, drooling all over yourself just to have me in your mouth."
Your throat constricts around her, tears prickling at the corners of your eyes, saliva pooling and spilling from the corners of your lips. Your body shudders, caught between humiliation and arousal, between submission and the raw pleasure of being used like this.
"Messy, pathetic thing," she continues, her voice sharper now, laced with satisfaction. "You love this, don’t you? Love being on your knees for me, choking on my cock like the filthy little slut you are."
Her words send a fresh pulse of heat between your thighs, and she notices the slight tremor in your body, the way your nails dig into her thighs as if trying to ground yourself.
"You’re getting off on this," she chuckles darkly, shoving deeper, holding you there for a moment as your throat spasms around her. "Of course you are. You’d let me ruin you, wouldn’t you?"
She groans as she pulls back, letting you breathe just for a second before thrusting forward again, deeper, harder, until you’re gasping around her, tears streaking down your cheeks. And still, you don’t pull away. You take it.
Just like she knew you would.
Agatha’s grip tightens at the back of your head, fingers tangled in your hair as she thrusts deeper, groaning low and guttural as she feels herself teetering on the edge. You can feel the way her cock pulses on your tongue, the way her breath stutters, her rhythm faltering just slightly as she chases that final burst of pleasure.
"Fuck—" she growls, her hips snapping forward one last time, holding you down as her release spills down your throat. The taste is thick, warm, — salty and rich, coating your tongue in waves. She doesn’t let you pull away, making sure you take as much as you can, but it’s too much — some of it dribbles from the corners of your lips, spilling down your chin in hot, sticky trails.
She watches with dark, satisfied eyes as you gasp for breath when she finally pulls back, her cock glistening with spit and the remnants of her orgasm.
"Messy little thing," she murmurs again, thumb swiping at the cum dripping from your chin before pressing it against your lips. "Swallow every last drop."
Your throat bobs as you obey, the act making her smirk in satisfaction.
Then, without warning, she grabs you and pulls you up onto shaky legs, her lips crashing onto yours in a bruising kiss. The taste of her own release lingers between you, and she doesn’t shy away from it —if anything, she deepens the kiss, claiming your mouth with a dominance that makes your knees weak.
She moves you easily, pushing you back onto the bed, her body covering yours, heavy with heat and lingering hunger. Her cock, still hard, presses against your stomach, smearing the last of her release against your skin. You’re panting, dazed, body still trembling from the relentless pleasure she’s wrung from you, but when she starts to pull away, you catch her wrist, eyes glassy with need.
"I wanna ride you," you gasp, the words tumbling out breathlessly, your body aching but desperate for more.
Agatha chuckles, low and smug, dragging her fingers down your chest, teasing over your already-sensitive skin. "You think you can handle that?" she taunts, tracing slow circles over your overstimulated clit, making your thighs twitch. "You’re still shaking, baby. After everything I’ve done to you, you really think you can take control?"
The challenge sends another shiver down your spine, your breath hitching as you push up onto shaky arms. "Let me try," you whisper, lips brushing against hers, your voice filled with determination despite the exhaustion in your limbs.
Agatha leans back against the pillows, her body stretched out beneath you, radiating heat and authority even in repose. Her cock, still thick and glistening with a mix of your slick and her own release, stands hard between her legs, a silent challenge. The way she watches you; head tilted, lips curled in a knowing smirk; makes your pulse spike, a flush crawling up your chest.
"Go on then," she murmurs, voice laced with amusement, fingers idly trailing up her stomach. "Show me what you can do, baby."
Your thighs tremble as you shift forward, crawling into position, your body still aching from the relentless way she’s used you but the hunger still simmers beneath the exhaustion, pulsing low in your belly. You want this. Need this. Need to take her in deep, to feel every inch stretch you open again.
You straddle her lap, your hands braced against her stomach, feeling the taut muscles flex beneath your palms as you hover just above her length. The heat of her cock brushes against your swollen folds, sending a fresh shudder through you. She feels like fire against your skin. Thick and rigid, pulsing with need, the tip teasing against your entrance as you roll your hips ever so slightly, coating her in your arousal.
Agatha hums in approval, her hands gliding up your thighs, slow and possessive. "Look at you," she murmurs, her thumbs pressing into the sensitive skin where your legs meet your hips. "So desperate to have me inside you again. Can’t get enough, can you?"
You bite your lip, but she catches your chin between her fingers, forcing your gaze to meet hers. "Say it."
Your breath stutters, your body burning from the inside out as you whisper, "I can’t get enough of you."
Her smirk deepens. "Good girl."
She releases you just as you sink down, your breath catching in your throat as the thick head of her cock pushes past your entrance, stretching you inch by inch. The burn is instant—blissful, overwhelming, your walls struggling to take her all at once.
Agatha groans beneath you, her fingers digging into your thighs. "Fuck, you’re tight," she rasps, watching with hooded eyes as you slowly lower yourself onto her, taking her deeper, letting the length of her disappear inside you.
Your head falls back as you bottom out, her cock nestled impossibly deep, pressing against every nerve inside you. The sensation is devastating, a perfect mix of pleasure and pressure, and you tremble above her, nails scraping against her abdomen as you struggle to catch your breath.
"Feel that?" Agatha murmurs, her voice smug as she presses a hand against your lower stomach, right where she’s buried to the hilt. "So deep I can feel myself inside you again. Fuck baby."
You whimper, rolling your hips experimentally, the movement sending sharp waves of pleasure through you. The drag of her cock against your walls is slow and torturous, every inch brushing against that spot inside you that makes your vision blur.
Agatha watches you struggle to find a rhythm, her grip tightening. "Come on, baby," she taunts, giving your thigh a sharp slap that makes you jolt. "You wanted to ride me. Show me how much you need it."
A determined fire flares in your chest, and you plant your hands against her shoulders, lifting yourself just enough before sinking back down, harder this time. The impact sends a delicious jolt through you, pleasure sparking at the base of your spine.
Agatha groans, her hands sliding up to your chest, palms covering your breasts, squeezing as she rolls your sensitive nipples between her fingers. The sensation makes you gasp, the mix of pleasure and pain sending a fresh wave of arousal pooling between your thighs.
"That’s it," she murmurs, her grip firm but teasing, playing with your body as she lets you work yourself on her cock. "Such pretty tits, bouncing every time you take me. Keep going, baby. Make yourself cum on me."
The words send a rush of heat through you, your movements growing desperate, erratic, your nails digging into her skin as you chase the high she’s leading you toward. The pleasure coils deep in your belly, unbearably tight, and when Agatha tweaks your nipple just right, rolling it between her fingers, it snaps.
A strangled cry rips from your throat as your climax crashes over you, your entire body shaking as pleasure consumes you. Your walls clench down around her, pulsing, milking her cock with every wave of your release.
Agatha groans, her thrusts turning erratic as she follows, burying herself deep inside you with one final snap of her hips. The warmth of her release floods your core, thick and hot, filling you completely as her grip tightens around you.
Then, with a smirk, Agatha leans in, nipping at your jaw but this time, her touch is softer. As you collapse onto her chest, spent and trembling, she strokes a hand down your back, her other hand massaging the sore muscles of your thighs.
"You did so well for me," she murmurs, pressing lazy kisses against your shoulder. "My good girl."
You hum, barely able to keep your eyes open as her hands knead away the ache, working out the tension she put into you. The warmth of her touch soothes the lingering sting of overstimulation, and for a moment, you think about letting yourself drift off.
But you don’t. You can’t.
The rules are the rules. Your rules.
With effort, you shift, slipping from her grasp, your limbs still shaky as you slide out of bed. Agatha watches as you stand, stretching despite the soreness in your legs, and move toward where your clothes are strewn across the floor.
"You’re not gonna shower?" she asks, her tone casual but curious as she props herself up on an elbow, watching you with sharp eyes.
You shake your head, pulling your clothes back on with practiced efficiency. "I’ll do it at home."
Agatha doesn’t say anything for a moment, just studies you as you gather your things. Then, without breaking eye contact, she reaches for the bedside table, grabs the check she had prepared, and hands it to you.
"You know…" she starts, voice slower now, something unreadable beneath the surface. "You can stay the night."
The offer lingers in the air between you, heavier than it should be.
But the rules are the rules.
You take the check, meeting her gaze one last time before slipping out the door.
And Agatha watches you go.

I can be romantic sometimes - Tim Bradford x Male!reader

“Well don't you boys look handsome,” Angela jokes as you and Tim walk into Luna's charity gala in your suits.
“Why thank you Angela, see Tim I told you you looked good,” you smile at your boyfriend before turning back to Angela and Nyla, “he wanted to stay home and eat pizza and watch Die Hard for Valentine's day.”
“That does sound like Tim,” Nyla laughs.
“The only reason I'm here is because I was promised alcohol and a fancy hotel room to end the night in,” Tim says sarcastically.
“And you will get all of that,” you wink at him.
The gala goes on and Tim does his best to pretend to be interested in all the conversations he's thrown into, the only thing getting him through is his drink and the occasional grab of your ass he's able to sneak in.
Eventually the auction comes to a close and Luna says her thank you speech and Tim drags you to a more secluded part of the ballroom.
“Finally, now can we go to our room?” He says with his hands on your waist, kissing you wantingly.
“Yes, we can go to our room now mister grumpy cop,” you smile into the kiss.
“Of course Lucy showed you that,” he sighs but takes your hand and guides you towards the elevator.
Luckily you're the only ones who enter so Tim can press you into the wall, kissing you harder and starting to loosen your tie. Stumbling into your room you see something out of the corner of your eye and pull back.
“Are those rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed?” You ask him.
“I can be romantic sometimes,” he chuckles, taking his suit jacket off then yours.
Kicking your shoes off the two of you make it to the bed, you laying back on the rose petals with Tim smiling down at you. He undoes his shirt, letting it hang open as you attempt to get out of your pants, Tim helping you the rest of the way before ridding himself of the remainder of his clothes.
Once both naked he climbs on top of you, kissing you hard as he rubs his cock against your thigh. You feel him getting harder so you reach down to stroke him, Tim moaning from your touch.
“Do you want to top tonight?” You mutter into the kiss.
“God yes,” he sighs.
He kisses down your neck and to your chest as you continue to work him up with your hand, Tim taking two fingers in his mouth then gently swirling them around your hole. He eases one finger inside, letting you adjust then slowly pumping it before adding the second.
When you feel prepped enough you tell Tim, “I'm ready,” and he nods, grabbing the lube he left on the nightstand when he came by earlier to arrange the rose petals.
He lathers himself in the lube, raising your hips and teasing you with the tip. You roll your hips when he pushes the first few inches of his cock inside, moaning loudly when he bottoms out.
Tim looks at you to make sure you're okay to continue and when you give him the go ahead he finds a slow pace with his hips. As he moves faster the rose petals start to bounce on the bed.
You watch the way Tim's abs flex as he's fucking you, Tim's attention on the way your cock is swaying with every thrust. He holds on tight to your hips, staying focused on making you cum.
After a few minutes you feel your orgasm approaching, Tim raising you higher for a new angle that makes your toes curl.
“Right there, just like that,” you moan.
Tim grins, doing his best to hit that spot inside you as your eyes roll back. You reach down to touch yourself, yelling a few obscenities when you cum all over your stomach.
“You are so hot when you cum,” Tim tells you, sweat beading down his chest as he nears his own release.
“Cum inside me Tim,” you reply and he does just that, filling you up as he rides out his climax.
Taking a moment to catch your breath he pulls out, laying down next to you in the rose petals.
“Better than pizza yeah?” You chuckle.
“Way better than pizza,” he agrees.
You roll over and put your hand on his stomach, inching it down to his now flaccid cock, “how about we order room service and get in the shower. I can have a turn topping and by the time we finish you'll get both sex and a pizza.”
His cock twitches at the thought and he jumps up from bed to find the phone, “we have to do this every Valentine's day.”

Unspoken Signals
A/N: reaaaallly tried to get this out for v-day. It’s been a while, I’m a bit rusty, but this is a quick fic w Harry and you as coworkers and a casual something else. Hope you enjoy 🫶🏼
—————————————————————-
“Well this is different,” I comment.
Before me sits a dozen children and they’re all very quiet. It’s music to my ears after the last hour.
“I didn’t know kids could even do yoga.”
“You didn’t know kids could stretch?” I raise a brow.
“The meditating part,” Harry clarifies. “I didn’t know they could quiet their minds and their demon mouths.”
I laugh softly and turn back to the kids. A couple are starting to get restless, peeking one eye open or scratching their noses—picking them more like. But it’s nice for the few minutes.
Both Harry and I worked at an art museum that had recently lost some of its funding and had decided to open up revenue streams by introducing “kids fun weekends”. So despite having zero training in early education, staff at the museum found ourselves having to look after children and host workshops from time to time.
So far we’d been volun-told to help with a crafts day, a movie night, wellness day, and an upcoming museum sleepover.
And I was so not being paid enough to deal with hyperactive children.
“Why do kids even need a wellness workshop?” Harry continues to whisper back to me. “They’ve got stressful jobs or something? Bloody put me on one and let me go home.”
“Anyone can experience stress Har,” I roll my eyes. Harry was one of those people who didn’t care about being politically correct when he spoke. Which led to a lot of bickering between us that most of our coworkers had gotten used to.
“The stress of any of these kids does not bloody compare to the stress of an adult.”
“Don’t be such an ageist,” I reply.
“Ageist? What the fuck,” he swears. “Do you just put a word in front of -ist and create a new prejudice?”
I gasp and hold his shoulder, “prejudice? Where did you learn such a large word?”
“Now you’re just being a word-ist,” Harry says smugly.
I snort despite myself, “And you’ve always been a prick.”
“Piss off,” Harry whispers. “This is unfair.”
We stand in silence, forced to do our job of keeping watch over the kids. But as they grow more agitated and so does Harry, I realize I really didn’t want to be here either.
“Well have you seen the new fake-Monet collection?” I ask.
It wasn’t actually fake-Monet. It was a local artist we were hosting in our community gallery that showcased…local artists. The first piece we ever saw hung up looked like a Monet so we took to calling him that.
“No. Not after that first forgery.”
“Wanna ditch this and check it out?”
“Fuck yes.” Harry’s eyes finally draw some life to them.
We leave our two other coworkers to deal with freshly-meditated children and sneak away.
The art museum wasn’t a large building; the ground floor was taken up by the open lobby, offices, the gift shop, and some of the more permanent exhibits. The second floor had revolving galleries and the community gallery sat on the third floor.
“D’you think anyone’s actually going to buy the guy’s fakes?” Harry asks.
“Probably,” I jam the button for the lift. “I saw a couple more pieces and they were beautiful.”
“You find any piece of art beautiful.”
“Well they are! It’s easy to find beauty in a lot of things if you’re not a prick.”
The lift arrives and the doors open; the reflection inside show a tall curly-haired annoyed bloke. Walking in with him is a shorter girl, rolling her eyes.
“I’m not a prick.” He looks down at me. “I just have standards.”
Suddenly in the enclosed space of the lift we’re gravitating towards each other like we tended to do. I smile up at him sweetly and he tsks and pushes me away by my chin; a conversation taking place with just our eyes.
The thing with Harry and me—because it was just a thing we didn’t label, was simple: we liked being around each other (despite being able to get on each other’s nerves).
We kinda just orbited each other and we were comfortable with it; some days he would follow me home and we’d hang out, get dinner, sleep together, and other nights I’d show up at his and we’d fold right into one another.
It was fun, and it felt cool not to label it. It felt very adult, like Harry and I were mature enough to appreciate the other in every aspect without being possessive enough to need to label it. Like somehow we were proving just how secure we were by doing it like this.
“You just like being judgemental,” I say and as the doors open onto the third floor I turn to walk out. “Because you’re an idiot.”
Outside stand at older couple who’ve definitely heard the last bit. I apologize and pray they don’t complain to anyone about the staff.
“Very unprofessional,” Harry goads as he laughs. “Do you harass all the elderly at the museum.”
“Shut up!” I shove him against the wall and he stumbles down.
“Oi!” He calls out as I walk away. “Oi! Help me up!”
“Help yourself!” I finally turn. He’s sprawled on the ground like this was his bedroom—because I’d seen the inside of his bedroom I would know. But he stays for so long I hurry back, not wanting anyone to walk past and get us in trouble for laying in the middle of the hall.
“I knew you’d come,” he smiles sweetly, his large hand in the air ready for me to grip.
“C’mon—“
I see it coming too late and he’s already trapped me in. He pulls me forward and I stumble into him, nearly catching myself on the wall. Nearly. I tumble into him instead.
“Grow up!” I scramble off of him as quick as I could. Because the one unspoken rule in this thing between us was staying nothing but platonic coworkers at work.
And that was the other thing about us—this unlabelled situation we were in. That as casual as we appeared there was a lot of orchestrating going on behind the scenes in order to be this nonchalant.
For example, only touching outside of work, not asking about dates the other went out on the weekend before, like saying you’re funny and where’ve you been when it’s been a while so as not to say I really like you and I want to be around you more and when you’re not around I miss you more than an unlabelled half should. Like getting drunk when I spot him at a club with another girl so I can continue to convince myself I really didn’t care all that much.
It was just Harry. At most we were just friends.
“This is me grown up,” Harry catches up to me. He can sense I’m annoyed and maybe he’s crossed a line so he lingers slightly behind.
I ignore him as I push the glass door into the gallery. This was one of my favourite spaces because of the large windows and views of the garden below planted by friends of the museum.
But mostly I loved it because it was a revolving door of local artists and it reminded me that everyone had a story to tell. And every story was beautiful.
“Don’t cry this time,” Harry whispers to me as he walks down the gallery to the far end.
“It was one time,” I mumble. That I actually cried. Usually I just teared up.
I couldn’t help it though, there was so much meaning and time put into these pieces. So much love and grief and every emotions on the spectrum. And I felt it all.
I decide I’d stop calling the artist fake-Monet because with a few more paintings I began to recognize his own signature style. He paints about personal community and finding it in public spaces—pockets around London.
“Hey look at this one,” Harry says when I’m a few pieces away. I walk over.
It’s unmistakably Hampstead Heath, the park a half hour walk from here and 15 from Harry’s place. It’s where we spent a lazy summer day a month or so ago. We were both free on the Saturday, our calendars opening up. I met Harry at his and we’d trekked through the hazy city to feel the cool breeze of the sturdy trees and the splash of the water. Despite the stickiness, we’d tucked into each other and pretended the shade was enough to keep us cool—enough to be so close. We read our book, took a summer nap, ate our picnic, and chatted about the rest of our lives. Passerbys would see two friends, or maybe two something-mores.
It’s only when the sun slinked down towards the horizon did we pack up. We walked back to his flat, took a shower together. We had dinner with his friends. It had been such a beautiful day I had ached with it because I knew how temporary it was.
But how perfect it had been. It had felt bigger than us.
Harry pointing it out toes that line again; he remembered it too, as something to reference. As something to compare to the beautiful richness of the tapestry before us—lavenders and lilacs, pinks and blues, sage, and dusty hues.
“Beautiful,” I murmur. We’re standing shoulder to shoulder now, I can’t tell who’s leaning on who.
“It…actually is.” Harry says in a hushed voice back. “I’m sorry fake-Monet that I doubted you.”
I look up at him in surprise, Harry rarely changed his mind. “Actually?”
“Yeah.” He looks down at me. “I think I get it.”
The expression in his eyes as he says this, as they fill with meaning, I have to look away. But the painting doesn’t help. It’s too full of my own meaning. Our meaning.
But there was no our.
“Wow.” I straighten up and move closer. “Look at that blending. And the details those are actually people.”
“They’ve all got their own shadow too.” Harry moves closer towards me again. He points it out.
“I’m gonna go look for shadows in the others.” I chirp just so I can get away. So I can keep denying.
A few hours later, the day is giving to nightfall. I badge out with Harry and we walk down the steps towards the iron gates.
“See you tomorrow?” I ask.
“I’m not in tomorrow.” He reminds me.
“Oh yeah your parents are in town?”
“Yep,” he fidgets with his phone and we stand in silence for a beat.
“Well I should-“ I say just as he asks, “Would you want to-“
We pause, awkward laugh. We were never awkward.
“You first,” I urge, wanting to know what he was going to ask.
“No it’s nothing. I should go. Got to clean my flat before my parents see how I live.”
“Don’t forget to hide the rolling papers from your bedside,” I tease. “And the magazines under the bed.”
“Oi I haven’t got magazines under the bed,” he smiles. His dimples make a handsome appearance. “They’re loud and proud on the coffee table now.”
“Except you haven’t got a coffee table.”
“If you know so much about my flat how about you come home with me and help me clean it? You can stay over.”
Come home with me. Casual, so casual.
But I know how calculated it had to be. I’d been there. Somehow I knew this is what he’d been trying to ask in the first place.
“What time are your parents getting in?” I ask.
“They’re early birds. Probably after 8.”
“8? Holy hell.” I swear.
“They want to do breakfast and then take me to visit my grandparents.”
“Right. Yeah well, imagine I’m still not out by the time they show up. That’d be so awkward. And there’s no way in hell I’m getting up before 8.”
His cheeks take on a slight blush. “They’ve…it wouldn’t be the first time they came over to a girl in my bed YN. I’m not 16.”
“I know. But…still awkward.”
“So?”
“I…don’t want them to get the wrong idea. We’ll see each other the day after. You’re working then right?”
My heart squeezes a bit at his crushed look before it’s swapped for happy, for easygoing. “Yep. Can’t get rid of me that quick.”
We part ways, I go mine with a heavy heart.
***
“So,” I check in with Harry at lunch the day he’s back. It had been a hectic day yesterday with a new group of kids and a new workshop to facilitate. Plus someone was quitting after being yelled at and Harry had missed it all so I wanted to update him. “How was your day off.”
“Shite,” he says. We walk a few streets over to a Pret. “Mum and dad wouldn’t stop whinging about my future and about settling down like I’m a fucking balding man in my 50s losing all prospects. I’m only 25!”
“Yeah total bummer having a day off for that,” I comment even though I have a hard time getting my next breath in. I can’t imagine my own parents caring that much about my life to spend a whole day with me talking about it. And what if I had stayed the night and accidentally bumped into them—would they have approved?
Should I even care?
“Then my nan basically told them to piss off but they started filling her head with it and then she’s asking me about any girls I’ve taken on dates lately. Started giving me relationship advice!”
“What was that?” I tease. “Take her on a walk and buy her some flowers? Go star gazing? Movie for 2 quid?”
Harry glances at me and his seriousness throws me off balance a little.
“What?”
He opens his mouth, then shrugs and closes it. “Nothing.”
“Sorry did I offend you?” I try to think of why he might be reacting this way.
“No, she actually did say some pretty old-fashioned shite. But I can take it from her. It’s my parents that drive me nuts.”
“Well I wish you were at work. Want to hear what happened?”
So I change the subject and we talk about what he missed. He’s more subdued today and I don’t read into it. He wasn’t mine to read into, I have to remind myself.
We talk about the gallery sleepover in two weeks, whether we were actually going to come in our PJs. When we get back to work we’re on different floors and I try not to miss him again.
***
“I actually brought mine—the appropriate pair.” My coworker jokes. We’re in the staff kitchen making an afternoon tea. Tonight was the gallery sleepover and I was not looking forward to it. But because I was working it I had the day off tomorrow and at least that was something to look forward to.
“I just brought a ratty tee. I don’t think I’m sleeping anyway.” I say.
“I hate that we got picked for this,” she continues. “I actually don’t even like kids. Why do you think I have none?”
“Well tonight will just be birth-control.”
“Trust me I don’t need it.” She cackles and walks away. My phone buzzes with a text.
Harry: Might be late tonight. cover for me if anyone asks?
Y: ur not even working the day how are u gonna be late?
Harry: got a thing. Just cover pls?
Y: obv
I wonder what was going on with him.
We hadn’t had a lot of opportunities to hang out the last week and work had been too busy to properly catch up. Plus our manager had been putting us on conflicting projects so I really had been missing Harry.
Even though Harry and I were friends there was something about distance and fondness that was proving true lately. And I hated it. So I’d gone on a string of dates this week. Hence my busyness.
I’d gone out on a date a week ago and even though I ended up going back to his place all I wanted to do was text Harry. Ask him if he was up, what he was doing. I’d forced myself to shut my phone so I wouldn’t be tempted.
After we close the doors to the public that evening we begin setting up for the kids’ sleepover. It’s so hectic nobody notices Harry’s late but he slides right in helping me string the lights in our biggest gallery. We work on the projectors next, I yap to him for 10 minutes straight and he barely replies. He’d been quiet since he got here.
And for the next few hours Harry and I entertain and help children have fun, we put on a fancy puppet show loosely based on famous artists—art projections included.
We sneak away to the kitchen after we take our bow for a tea break.
“Wouldn’t happen to have a flask on ya?” Harry sighs as he strains his tea bag.
“God I wish,” I stare into the dark abyss of my earl gray. That performance had really taken it out of me. “Who d’you think’s most likely to have something stashed away?”
“Well,” Harry yawns like he hadn’t slept all week and points to an upper cabinet. “Behind the cleaning stuff.”
“What?!” I gasp. “Seriously?”
“Well last time I saw it was last Christmas. Probably got some alcoholics here. I dunno if the stash is still there.”
“Well this is naughty,” I find a couple travel-sized liquor bottles like the kind you get on planes. I take one so that somebody else can have the delight of the other.
Harry sticks his mug out and I empty half the bottle, doing the same to mine.
“Make sure it’s covered,” he advises when I throw it in the bin. I shake it around until I can’t see it.
“Much better,” I cheers my mug to his. He catches my eye and it feels like we’re co-conspirators again. I pass a smile that’s only half-returned. “So what’s the deal with you?”
“Hm?” He doesn’t look up from his drink.
“I’ve barely seen you all week. And you’re late tonight. And you look haggard as hell.”
He shrugs, “I’ve been helping one of my mates out with moving out of his girlfriend’s. They broke up. He’s a mess so…”
“Oh.” I wasn’t expecting that. “That’s kind of you.”
“You sound surprised.”
“Do I?” I widen my eyes.
“Piss off.”
He cracks with a smile—a full Harry smile and I feel my heart beaming just to soak it in.
“Are you doing anything tomorrow?” I ask tentatively. I knew he had the day off too.
“Uhm,” cagey Harry returns. “Maybe. I’m not too sure right now.”
“Ah okay.”
We sip in silence that threatens to smother us. I get up as quickly as I can without wasting my precious drink.
“I’m gonna head back out.”
“Alright.”
I head back to the star-lit room where sleeping bags are laid out like mismatched brick throughout the floor. Some kids are cozied within, others sit on top. They’re all engrossed in the “bedtime story” being told by a local author.
It’s sweet, I think. This would become a core memory for a lot of these kids, drinking in the whole night through all their senses. I wish I had more memories like this. Maybe then I wouldn’t be so fragile all the time.
Adults staying overnight got their own gallery blankets and I drag one over to the far end, enough for any kid who needed assistance could find me but far away that I could be on my phone and not distract them.
Some time later another body joins me with his own blanket.
“Sorry,” Harry says as he sits.
“For what?” I play pretend. Just like these kids were doing tonight. What could you possibly be saying sorry for? What could I possibly feel entitled to you for? We’re just friends.
“For being weird earlier. I…well I have to tell you something and I’m being weird instead.”
My heart begins to thump in my chest.
“Tell me what?”
“So I’ve um…I’ve got a-“ Harry clears his throat. I glance up at him and he’s looking out towards the ceiling. “I have a girlfriend. I know we…we’re not…”
“Jeez Har,” even though ever atom inside of me is keeling over with something I can’t exactly examine yet, I play the joker. The friend. “If this is you telling me you’re getting serious with someone that’s all you have to say.”
“Really?” He turns to me and on the shiny hardwood floor so does half his body. I ignore how his knees feel pressing into mine. “You’re…okay?”
His voice is anything but casual.
“Yeah! It’s not like we’re a thing.”
Even still, I can’t say it. I die a little more.
“Yeah well I wasn’t expecting it. She’s the daughter of someone my dad knows? Pretty sure they orchestrated it but we went on a couple dates and then she asked…well she wanted to be exclusive I…”
“Well that’s good. For you.”
“Yeah?”
“Yep.”
“Thank god,” the air whooshes out of his lungs.
“I feel like I should be offended. You thought I was going to be mad or something?”
“No not mad…” he trails off. I look at his reaction and find him looking at me already. Even though it’s dark I can still see his eyes and they feel like they’re reading everything on my face. In a hushed tone he repeats himself, “not mad.”
I shrug, biting my lip hard to feel something other than the emotions threatening to overwhelm me. Emotions I never thought would surface this strongly.
“I’m good. Actually I’m not good. I think that bottle we found was rubbish I’ve got to go toilet—“ I use his knee to pull myself up. “Save my spot.”
I walk away without sparing a glance back because my act is crumbling. I’m crumbling. And I don’t understand it.
If you asked me two weeks ago I would have gone on how fun it was to be with Harry but how the idea of being with him seriously would be weird. Would throw off our balance. But now I want to puke my guts in the toilet at the idea of having to let him go. Because he’s the one who moved on.
And as hard as I try tears still escape my lashline and make trails down my cheeks as I study myself in the brightly lit mirror. How could I be mad when we were just casual? How could I hate him if all he did was look for something serious. Someone serious.
Suddenly what had felt fun and mature feels childish and disposable.
I was disposable fun.
“Get it the fuck together,” I tell myself. “You’ve got nothing to cry over. You could get yourself a boyfriend too. He’s not your soulmate or something jeez.”
I blow my nose and give myself another pep talk before exiting the toilets back to where Harry waits for me.
“You alright?” He asks. A loaded question.
“Yeah. Regret doing this for the whole night though.”
“You could sleep. I’ll take first shift.”
“I’ll get in trouble.”
“Who gives a shit,” Harry tugs me so that I fall against his shoulder and it’s the worst thing in the world.
I don’t curl my arm through his like I might’ve before. Or cozy into his chest. I stay there like a stiff robot until sleep takes me. Even then it’s not long enough.
—1 month later—
I’m heading home after an uneventful day, ready to sink into bed and turn my brain off. These days my brain talked too much and I really wish there was an on/off switch for it.
“Um hiya?” A soft voice says as I exit the turnstile in the lobby. I turn towards the voice and it belongs to a sweet looking girl about my age with harsh features softened by a layered bob. On me it would look ridiculous but she looks like she was born to rock the style she was in.
“Hi,” the rule of thumb was even though you were clocked out if you exited from the lobby in work clothes and somebody stopped you, you had to help them. I’d forgotten to tuck my badge away today damnit.
“I’m waiting for someone? He hasn’t been answering his texts I was just wondering if-“
“You could ask reception?” I point to the desk behind her. “They can page who you need.”
“They weren’t really helpful,” she shrugs. “I’m assuming you work with him? Harry?”
It’s the last name I’m expecting from her lips. I nearly stumble back trying to take her in again with the new knowledge of who she might be.
“H-Harry?”
I’d heard her the first time. I’m just trying to grasp at a second to collect myself.
This must be his girlfriend. The one who wanted to be exclusive. And I hated that I’d liked her in our two minute interaction.
He hadn’t spoken much about her since he told me a month ago but since half of our relationship before her was being intimate, we barely talked and when we did it was mostly just work and the relationship felt really fragile and rough.
I could see what Harry saw in her—she was attractive. And not pushy; she let Joey at reception push her around which was hard to do. And she was meeting Harry here, at work. It must be getting serious.
All these thoughts race through my mind in a millisecond.
“Oh! Harry yeah,” I nod when she confirms. “Of course I know him. I think he was in a meeting might be why…I can go back in and check if you-“
“Oh no! Sorry I’m not trying to be a bother. You’re probably going home I just wanted to make sure he was still in?”
“Yeah! Yeah he’s in. I’ll tell Joey—reception, to page him if he’s out. He’s nicer than he seems.”
“That’d be perf,” she beams. I die a little more, unsure why I was helping her this much. Unsure why it bothered me this much.
Ever since Harry had ended the thing we didn’t have, my life had felt haunted. The ghosts of every emotion I killed in the moments we’d been together began to surface and they were torture. Biggest of all was regret and shame. Regret over what could have been if I’d just admitted how deeply I felt months ago. Shame because I wasn’t supposed to feel this way for Harry. Because he obviously didn’t feel the same way, he never would, and it would be embarrassing to ever admit it.
Our actual relationship had gone like this after that night—avoidance -> awkward small talk -> light bantering -> finally, being able to talk semi-normally again.
We stopped hanging out outside of work however, so every day I got to see him was a day I was excited to go into work. My friends told me I had to do something about it—confess and see what he says, or move on.
And I’d tried to move on. But every guy I tried to date didn’t hold a candle to the flame that warmed my heart; to the idiot I had the misfortune of falling for after we ended things.
Or maybe I was just the idiot.
And here I was self-sabotaging by helping his girlfriend. There was definitely something wrong with me.
“Elsie!”
Both our heads turn to the voice.
“There he is,” I say but she’s already squeezing my arm and walking towards him. Harry doesn’t realize I’m standing there and I watch him smile at her in a way that sends a spike to my heart. Then he notices me.
“Oh YN,” his eyelids flutter a few times too many. “Uh-“
“YN god sorry I didn’t even get your name,” Elsie turns back to me. “YN was helping me.”
“Yeah? Thanks,” Harry looks visibly relieved and flashes me a grin. I raise my brows and smile back.
Home. I had to get home.
“Well I figured Har already had a hard time finding a girlfriend, I didn’t want him to lose her so quickly. This isn’t even a very big place.”
Harry’s expression is unreadable but Elsie laughs.
“Very funny,” Harry responds.
“I know.” I gear myself up to say bye. “Well I’ll see you tomorrow, let you get to wherever you’re going. It was nice-“
“Well we’re just hanging out with some friends,” Elsie says.
“YN knows a few of them,” Harry says. I watch his eyes bug a little as he realizes he’s stepped onto a minefield and watch him back away smoothly. “Some of the younger crew go out for drinks sometimes.”
“Ah,” Elsie says as Harry wraps his arm around her shoulder from behind. He was laying it on thick but I don’t think Elsie noticed his hiccup. “Well why doesn’t she come!? YN you should join us! One more friend!”
“Oh I don’t think she wants to-“
“I was honestly just gonna go ho-“
I stop talking the same time Harry does.
“No you should!” Elsie says. “Don’t listen to Harry.”
I catch his eye and they’re saying please don’t.
Don’t tell me what to do, mine say.
Don’t be stubborn.
Challenge accepted.
“Ok! Maybe one drink.” I say as Harry huffs. It felt dangerous, having a non-verbal conversation in front of his girlfriend.
I was an idiot, I confirm. An idiot making bad decisions.
“Yay! Let’s go.” Elsie takes Harry’s hand and drags him to the front door. I nearly laugh at his face as he’s dragged past me—he was mad.
And it comes out a couple hours later. By then I’d had more than a single drink, have befriended most of the people I don’t know at the table and have caught up with those I do know. Harry had been mostly attached by the hip to Elsie and I tried not to stare daggers at it.
They’re an interesting couple, you can tell Harry is distracted most of the night and she tries to accommodate by being around and talking to him. He leaves a hand on her at all times but she doesn’t wrap herself around him the way I used to. Maybe she wasn’t touchy.
Maybe I was being obsessive.
So I distract myself with everyone, with drink, with a particularly cute boy who introduced himself as Elsie’s uni friend. Who happened to be brother’s with Harry’s old flatmate. Small worlds.
“YN,” Harry tugs my sleeve as Grant and I talk—if you can call heavy flirting just talking.
“What?!” I snap after the tugging gets aggressive.
“I need to talk,” He points to himself and then me, “to you.”
I could see he was well past tipsy. It wasn’t often Harry drank to this point so I follow him to find out what was going on.
I follow him to a patio table that had just been vacated, empty glasses littering the surface. An untouched shot sits in the middle. The tableau tells a story—art was everywhere.
“What?” I ask.
“What’re you doing?”
“What am I?” I laugh. “What are you doing? I think you’ve had a few drinks too many mate.”
“You’ve got drinks,” he replies.
“Yeah…” I look back at the half finished drink I left at the bar. “I did have more than I thought. I feel like I drink a lot more when there’s a lot of people around? Otherwise I’m just nursing my drink-“
“Why did you decide to come out tonight? When you’ve met my girlfriend.”
Girlfriend.
“When I’ve…what?! Your girlfriend invited me no thanks to you.”
“Yeah but you never come out anymore. And suddenly you want to come out when Elsie asks?”
“What d’you mean I never come out anymore?”
Harry sighs. “You stopped hanging out.”
“Yeah because you got a girlfriend? You stopped inviting me out!”
“No what? No! You’re always…it’s an open invitation I don’t need to specifically invite you out I-“
“So why did you invite me specifically before?” I call him out, feeling more sober than I was a few minutes ago. “You stopped inviting me. We stopped hanging out. And so I stopped inviting you when I went out cuz I thought you had a girl and I didn’t want to make it complicated I-“
My voice catches on an unfiltered emotion and I want to die. I feel heat creep up my cheeks as I try to swallow it down and hope Harry doesn’t notice. Fuck!
“Anyway your girlfriend invited me so I came! It’s not a big deal.”
“I didn’t…” Harry scratches his nose and looks uncomfortable. “I didn’t mean to stop. I…it was complicated and I-“
“It’s fine. Whatever Har.”
“It’s not,” his brows come together. “Obviously s’not. I’m sorry? I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you feel…”
I almost laugh at what he’s said and how it sounds: I didn’t mean to make you feel. Well, neither did I.
“Yeah whatever. I’m not mad about it.”
“Sorry.” He says instead.
“Thanks,” I clear my throat for good measure, not wanting to be too emotional. I want to tell him I missed him but I don’t think it would be appropriate.
“I thought-“ he breaks off with a laugh. “Nevermind.”
“What?” I push him lightly. “You know I hate when people don’t finish their thought. It’s going to drive me crazy—what?”
“No this one you won’t like. Nevermind.”
“Tell meee,” I poke his shoulder until he slaps my hand away.
“Stop that! I hate when you do that!”
“I know.” I say smugly. “So?”
“It’s stupid. I thought you came here to annoy me or something. And then you’re practically sitting in Grant’s lap…”
He’s right. I wouldn’t like it.
“Hold on,” I bring my hand down on the table. “You thought I was flirting with Grant to annoy you? Why would I-what!?”
“Like I said,” he doesn’t make eye contact. “It was stupid. Nevermind!”
“No it’s not nevermind. You don’t drive what decisions I make in my love life.” Lie. “Got that?”
“Jeez you can’t get angry after forcing me to say!”
“I can!”
“Can you quit bitching I don’t have time for this.”
“I’ll be as big of a bitch as I want to be.” I cross my arms.
“Unfortunately, I know.”
“That’s a completely stupid thought to have-“
“Surely not all your thoughts are winners. That’s why you don’t say all of them.” Harry says, then laughs. “Actually you do. And I always have the displeasure of hearing all of them.”
My jaw drops. “It’s like you’re purposely saying the stupidest shit right now. Like you want to be a prick.”
“C’mon you little shite,” Harry tugs my arm until they uncross. “I’m joking, remember jokes?”
I want to say something snippy, tell him off, but as my arms fall away his hand slides down until the tips of our fingers brush. It makes me feel touch-starved, like I’d been isolated in the woods for the last two months growing crazy for human touch.
Harry senses the shift and his smile dies down, his throat bobbing up and down.
How was it that Harry, out of every man I’ve ever met and continue to meet, has this effect on me? How can one touch quiet my mind so completely while pushing my heart into overdrive.
Why, I want to ask the universe. Why was it this man in front of me that made me feel so intensely?
“YN,” he says.
I should pull away. I should because his fingers creep further now pressing into my palm. I want them to slide higher until they’re tangled in my hair, pulling me closer. I wanted him closer.
“I missed you,” it comes stumbling out. And the shock of it pulls me out of whatever trance I just found myself in.
I pull my hand away and Harry straightens up, his gaze clearing too.
“Sorry.” My heart is in my throat now. “Sorry. I didn’t—that was inappropriate. I’m gonna go back now…”
“Wait,” he calls out as I head back to Grant knowing my heart wasn’t in it anymore. That I was going home.
“Hm?” I try to blink away the shame as I turn back towards him.
“D-do you…regret anything?”
I raise a brow and he flushes. I was making this torture for both of us but I wanted him to ask.
Stupidly, I wanted him to know.
“Between us. I know we never…we’re just friends. But did you ever regret…us?”
I shake my head. “No. No. Never. It was some of the best times.”
It’s like I’ve said the wrong thing. His face falls and I decide I had to go. Had to. I was afraid what else might be spilled out between us.
I don’t even remember what I tell Grant, just that I grab any of my belongings that I can spot, ask him to throw his number into my phone, and hightail it out. And I nearly make it to the tube when a warm hand grips my arm.
“Get off—oh!” I nearly whack Harry with my purse but he ducks anyway. “What the fuck Har!?”
“Sorry. Sorry sorry!” He lets me go and I miss his warmth. “I didn’t realize!”
“Yeah! You can’t just grab a woman at night like that!”
“Obviously! I wasn’t thinking! I was just trying to get to you-“
“Why?”
“Bloody hell you know why YN!”
I stare at him. His face doesn’t hide a single thought, a single emotion. It’s vulnerable, and terrifying.
“Don’t take the piss.” He grabs my arms and gives me a shake. “You know. You know.”
“I-don’t do this. Har, you have a girlfriend. I don’t want to be that girl ok?”
“Why?”
“Why? Because that’s awful and-“
“No! Why didn’t you say anything when we were together? Any time we were together? When I told you I had a girlfriend? Why were you always so…cool?”
“Me? Cool?” I laugh. “There’s nothing cool about me Har.”
“Well you’re hard to fucking read then! I dunno! I was always leaving hints and signals that I actually liked you. And you always ignored them!”
“Hints? Signals?” I gape. “When the—what the hell do you call hints?!”
“I…I wanted you to meet my fucking parents for god’s sake. Did you really never-“
“If I’m hard to read so are you mate,” I lean against the closest thing—a mailbox. My legs are jelly. “Was that when you vaguely suggested I wake up in your bed while your parents were down?!”
“Fine well I bought you chocolates that one time, I’ve even got some of your tees in my room! I-I tried to plan romantic dates for us—Hampstead! I tried to tell you-“
“What?” I’m not asking him anything. I’m just questioning everything; everything I avoided and played off had meaning. Of course it did. Everything had meaning, but I’d just thrown our dictionary out the window so it would mean nothing. Because I was afraid.
“Really?!” Harry sighs. He crouches down and runs his hands through his hair. “Am I that bad? I thought I was making it so clear but you always brushed it off. I felt like an idiot for falling for you when it was just s’pose to be casual. I thought I was being a bloody simp.”
I inch down to where he crouches.
“You fell for me?” I whisper.
When he looks at me it’s with eyes that look like broken seaglass. With a mouth curved down so low that I want to kiss into a smile. Into a laugh.
He cups my face, his thumb brushing my cheek. I give in to the sigh and his lips lift ever so slightly.
“How could I not?”
“I thought I drove you crazy?” I grasp his hand. “I thought I was just a fun distraction I-“
“I never said the second part.” He interrupts.
“You sure?”
“You were reading the wrong hints.”
I laugh and so does he. It almost turns into tears.
He stands and extends a hand that I take, his warm palm covering mine.
“Now’s when you return the confession,” he says without letting go. “So?”
“What? I’m not hiding any confessions!”
“Liar,” he tugs me close. “Your heart’s racing.”
“That’s from getting up so quickly.”
“You’re full of shite.”
We’re smiling so hard I’m sure we look like crazy people on the street.
But he had a girlfriend. Oh god. A sweet girl I’d just met today.
His expression grows confused as mine must turn to worry. I untangle myself.
“Harry…”
“I know.” He finally clues in.
“We can’t-“
“I know.”
We stare at each other for a heartbeat.
“I’m gonna go. Or else…”
“Just like that?” He asks.
“How else is it supposed to be?” I demand. “We can’t do this Har. And please…if you like her…respect her at all—don’t break up with her just to be with me. I wouldn’t be able to stomach it.”
“Then I’m just lying to her.”
“I…” I shrug. “I dunno. I just don’t want to be the reason for her heartbreak okay?”
“You’re being a sensitive snowflake. Breaking up with her is the right thi-“
“You can’t call people snowflakes-
“I can if that’s what they’re being-“
“I’m going home.” I tell him. It’s the last thing I want to do.
He opens his mouth with whatever quick retort he always had. But he must think twice about it. His face draws into a frown.
“Sort yourself out.” I instruct him. “Just sort it out. And then one day soon we can see…y’know.”
I half turn away, but can’t bear to leave without touching him one last time. Who knows when the next time will be. I flit to him so I can press my lips against the warmth of his cheek, so intoxicating. Like an addict only sniffing the alcohol in their cup. And when I feel his body loosening, about to hold my own, I flit away and rush into the tube without a glance back.
I don’t register anything on the ride home. I’m too shocked to even cry about it.
I wash the day away, the scent of him and the look on his face when he realizes we each had been trying to hold out own glaring neon signs to each other.
It’s late when there’s a knock on my door. I figure it’s my roommate forgetting her keys, and since I’d been laying on my bed in my towel after my shower too numb to sort myself out I end up opening the door basically naked.
It’s Harry.
His eyes roam over my terryclothed figure with a smile.
“What—what are you doing here!?” I grab the edge of my towel to keep it in place.
“Were you expecting someone else?” He asks.
“No-stop!” I push my hand into his chest as he crosses through the doorway. “Why are you here?”
His eyebrows draw together, hurt. “I…I didn’t think I was that drunk—we did just admit our feelings to each other a few hours ago right?”
“Yes but!” I put my hand down because his heart is beating fast under my hand and I don’t want to feel it a second longer. “You were also supposed to sort yourself out and-“
“Can you just let me in?”
I stare at him.
He stares back.
“Fine!” I give up and move aside. He closes the door behind him. That’s when I notice his hands. “What’s that?”
“For you.” He holds a bouquet up. “I know they’re shitty. I couldn’t find much at this time of night-“
“No hold on, I don’t understand.”
“We’ve wasted enough time throwing out shitty hints that apparently neither of us could read. We should never be detectives.”
I stay still, waiting for an explanation. Any bloody explanation as to why he’s here and not with his girlfriend!
“I went back to Elise. She knew something was wrong right away. I tried to deny it. She asked if something was going on between us-“
“God seriously Har! I said not to-“
“Did you want me to go back and pretend to be in love with her when I just had a fucking bomb go off in my life!? I know you don’t want to be that girl YN but I don’t want to be that shitty guy who stays with someone because he feels bad! What does that make me?”
I can picture Elise’s face in my mind. Oh god.
“She wasn’t mad-“
“You wish.” I snort.
“No she wasn’t. Well she was at first because she thought I was with you and her at the same time. I explained. I apologized. She got it. She…turns out she was still hung up over her ex. That she really liked me but she was mostly doing it to get her parents off her back. Because they never like who she dates. Which wasn’t a great thing to hear but…I’m pretty sure I saw her catching a cab as I was leaving. Maybe she went back to her ex.”
I’m dumbfounded with his retelling of what happened after I’d left.
“She’s okay. Are we?” He asks when I don’t reply.
The bouquet looks rough, like it was maybe clutched too hard and the flowers are nearing the end of their life. I imagine Harry rifling through a flower stand to find something for me. Coming here because he couldn’t wait.
I was kidding myself. I couldn’t wait either.
“Okay.”
“Okay??” He asks but he’s closing the distance because he’s reading me. He already knows me.
“Fine.” I say as he loops his arms around my waist. I stretch my arms up around his shoulders, clasping them at his neck. Something throbs deep in my chest. I missed him.
“I missed you,” he says. Always reading my mind.
“I didn’t know I could.” I say to him. His eyes are filled with a raw emotion that mirrors whatever’s aching in my chest.
“You’re like something from the gallery,” he cups my face. “Beautiful and original, breathtaking and you pass by it every opportunity you get just to get another glimpse. It makes you realize what you’ve been missing your whole life.”
“Aw Har,” my voice wobbles. If this was Harry when he was direct and not giving shitty hints I don’t know how I was going to survive us.
“What?” He whispers.
“You’ve got a soft side. You’re not actually a prick.”
His dimples make an appearance as he smiles. “I told you. I’ve just got standards don’t I.”
I wanted all of him—god how did I fool myself this whole time. I wanted all of him. He was just so lovely. “I think you’re going to ruin me,” I whisper back. His grin disappears and he tugs me ever closer.
“You’ve already ruined me.” He says. “I can’t look at any piece of art without thinking of you. I can’t go a day without wondering about you.”
“Is that healthy?” I murmur. My heart drums.
“Who the fuck cares about healthy?” He laughs.
We gaze at each other, the blood rushes through my body at high speeds.
“Mutual ruin?” I ask.
He responds with a kiss so passionate that I forget how to breath. I’m sure my towel was being held up by our bodies at this point.
“Mutual ruin. Or you can just ruin me.” His lips brush against my ear, feather down my neck. “I’m madly in love with you YN. There’s nobody but you.”
I don’t know whether to laugh from giddiness or cry from how my heart overflows.
“Har, I think I get the hint.” I say instead. He laughs.
“Fucking finally.”

You're scared of heights, that's vertigo You wanted lights, go see a show You ran away, that's touch and go You're scared of love, well, aren't we all?
What was supposed to be a one-time thing turned into two days, then three, then four. Before you even realized it, seeing him had become part of your routine, like breathing—natural, inevitable, and far too easy to justify.
Today, though, your mind was anywhere but on him. Mrs. Baek had scheduled a meeting, nothing more, nothing less. You and Hyunjin were goofing around, hands clasped as you twirled like a chaotic, offbeat version of Jack and Rose at a third-rate ballroom. Seungmin doubled over laughing, because of course he did. That was just your dynamic—ridiculous by nature, friends for life.
Then, everything stopped. A chorus of surprised gasps cut through the room, followed by an eruption of chatter that made your spinning halt. Confused, you glanced around, searching for the source of the commotion—until you saw her. Mrs. Baek stood at the front, and next to her…
No. Absolutely not.
Your stomach flipped as your eyes landed on him. Standing there with his head tilted slightly downward, one hand gripping the opposite arm—ridiculously muscular, by the way—Bangchan looked unfairly good in a black T-shirt that was doing the bare minimum to cover anything.
Your gaze flickered to Hyunjin, then to Seungmin, silently demanding an explanation, but before either of them could speak, Mrs. Baek’s voice cut through the haze of your disbelief.
“…which is why we now have a new student to take care of the sound design. Welcome, Bangchan.”
And then—anger.
The girls whispered like they’d just witnessed the famous idol in the world. Bangchan basked in the attention, grinning at them, then at the guys. And then, of course, his eyes found you. One brow lifted, pure challenge.
No. Fucking. Way.
“Sound design? Since when?” you weren’t really expecting an answer, but Hyunjin, ever the dependable sidekick, squeezed your shoulder and offered a half-smile.
“It’s kinda his and Jisung’s thing,” he said, arms crossed as he observed Bangchan effortlessly charm his way through the group. “Jisung’s drowning in work this semester, so I guess that’s why.”
Oh, how nice. How convenient. You couldn’t care less. It was one thing sneaking around with him in secret. It was another for him to invade your space. Your special space. And worse—acting like he belonged there.
As soon as the group began to break apart, you made your exit, feet moving fast. The last thing you needed was—
“Running away already?”
You stopped dead, fingers tightening around the strap of your bag. Spinning on your heel, you found Bangchan standing there, arms crossed, smirking like he had all the time in the world.
“I don’t think that’s any of your business,” you shot back.
“Ouch.” he clutched his chest, faking a wince. “You look angry.”
“Oh, do I?” your voice dripped with sarcasm. “That’s because I am.”
Lucky for him, the corridor was empty—just the theater crew lingering in the distance.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” you demanded.
“Gonna need you to be more specific.”
You inhaled sharply. “Seriously? Sound design? You don’t even like theater.”
He took a step closer, brows furrowing.
“How would you know? We’re not friends.” the way he said it was off—something about his tone made your stomach twist. But you ignored it. “And if you actually bothered to find out, you’d know that, shockingly, I do this for real.”
You hated being proven wrong. But you especially hated being proven wrong by Bangchan.
“Look,” you sighed, arms crossing. “I don’t know what your game is, okay? But just… don’t mess things up. I like them the way they are.”
Bangchan nodded, slow and deliberate. But something flickered in his eyes—something unreadable. His stomach clenched, and he didn’t like the reason why. Because the way you said it, like having him here without sex was some kind of inconvenience, left a bitter taste in his mouth.
“Don’t flatter yourself.” his voice dropped an octave, sharp and cold. He met your gaze head-on, not an ounce of warmth left. “The world doesn’t revolve around you.”
And just like a punch to the gut left hanging in the air, he was gone. No rush, no glance back—just the weight of his words lingering between you.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e235932ca7b3fffe1119e3e8ef222867/205c03d888d0ac14-77/s540x810/579e4ddcb040c775e79a17322014339bc5f44066.jpg)
Things were a mess, and you needed to get a grip. Studying, focusing—doing something that wasn’t theater or… well, him. The last few days had blurred together, your attention split in ways you weren’t used to. And you hated it.
The library was too quiet, the kind of silence that crawled under your skin. Three art history books sat open in front of you, mocking your lack of focus. It was ridiculous. How the hell had you let some guy scramble your brain like this? That wasn’t you. It had never been you.
Frustration boiled over, and before you knew it, you snapped one of the books shut, the sharp thud cutting through the silence.
“Jesus. What did the book ever do to you?”
The voice came from behind you, smooth and amused. You barely looked up before Mingyu’s face came into view. It hit you then—how distracted you’d been at the fundraiser. Otherwise, you definitely would have noticed him before. That annoyingly charming, white-knight smile. Tanned skin. Muscles for days.
He grinned, leaning over your table, arms flexing just enough to be intentional.
“Sorry. My head's a mess.”
Mingyu nodded, taking in your exasperated, borderline fried expression. “Yeah, you look like it,” he said with a knowing half-smile, sliding into the empty chair across from you like he belonged there. No permission needed.
You sighed, gesturing vaguely at the books. “Just trying to focus.”
His smirk deepened. “Right. Because nothing says laser focus like slamming a textbook shut like it just insulted your mother.”
You huffed, but the corner of your mouth twitched.
“Well, since you’re clearly on the verge of a breakdown, I have an idea.” He leaned back, stretching in a way that was both casual and strategic. “A coffee. On me.”
You opened your mouth to answer, but your phone vibrated against the table, barely visible beneath the stack of books. A quick glance at the screen. One new message.
Bangchan: my dorm. 30 min.
Your pulse jumped. Short. Direct. No room for misinterpretation.
“Everything okay?” Mingyu’s voice pulled you back, his eyes scanning your face.
“Yeah, yeah.” you laughed, maybe too lightly. “Just… distracted. Coffee sounds good.”
His grin widened. “Perfect. Let’s go.”
“Just let me put this back…” you grabbed one of the books, heading for the shelf when your phone buzzed again.
Bangchan: ignoring me?
You exhaled, fingers hovering over the screen.
You: I can't. I have plans.
A pause. Then—
Bangchan: ok.
You pressed your forehead against the bookshelf, inhaling deeply, willing away the strange tightness in your stomach. It was ridiculous. It was just a text.
When you returned, Mingyu was still at the table, casually texting someone. He looked up as you approached, grinning. “Everything good?”
“Yeah.” you nodded, forcing a smile.
He was nice enough to grab your bag and help carry your notebooks, the easy charm of someone who had probably been effortlessly handsome his whole life. The café wasn’t far—just a short walk from campus—but the crowd made it feel like the busiest spot in town.
Mingyu picked a table near the entrance, the air thick with the smell of espresso and fresh pastries. Strawberry sponge cake. Cinnamon rolls. Chocolate mousse cupcakes. The kind of place that made you want to abandon all responsibilities and drown yourself in sugar.
And yet, as you sat down, all you could think about was the ok.
Mingyu ordered coffee for you both but went the extra mile, adding a slice of strawberry shortcake to share.
“Thank you. You didn’t have to do that.” you smiled, wrapping your hands around your cup, already feeling the caffeine seep into your system like a lifeline.
He shrugged. “I wanted to. You looked like you needed something sweet.”
You caught the double meaning but let it slide. He was being nice, and you weren’t in the mood to overanalyze. “Right. So… football?” Smooth. Real smooth.
Mingyu didn’t seem to mind. “Going well. We’re set for the next game, and if we keep this up, the next university sponsorship should be ours.”
“That’s great, Mingyu.”
“Yeah, but I heard drama class was saved. Good news, huh?”
“Great news. We’ve got enough for now.” you took a bite of cake, letting the sugar melt on your tongue. Mingyu watched you, a smirk tugging at his lips.
“I’m happy for you. Getting the basketball team to sell brownies half-naked must’ve been a real passion project.”
You laughed. “It was, but that wasn’t me. That was Bangchan.”
It felt strange, saying his name out loud. Different when he wasn’t there.
Mingyu frowned, arms crossing over the table.
“Bangchan did that?” his brows knitted together, skepticism lacing his tone.
You shrugged, taking another bite of cake. “That’s what I heard. Why? You guys friends?” the idea alone made your stomach twist in an oddly unpleasant way.
“No. Not even close.” he laughed, shaking his head as if the thought was ridiculous. “Just curious.”
“Well, instead of wasting brain cells on him, you should try this.” you pushed the plate slightly toward him. “It’s actually amazing.”
Mingyu picked up a fork, took a bite, and let out an appreciative groan. You grinned, clapping your hands as if you had just won a bet, then promptly stole another piece for yourself.
Being with him was easy—effortless, even. A surprising friendship you hadn't expected but didn’t mind one bit.
Back at the dorm, Eunji and Sohee were curled up on the couch, sharing a bucket of popcorn while a movie played on the laptop. Your casual entrance was met with two pairs of curious eyes locking onto you like detectives sniffing out a case.
“Where have you been?” Eunji narrowed her eyes, her fingers pausing mid-popcorn grab.
“Why?” you laughed, kicking off your shoes.
“You’ve been acting weird,” she accused, tilting her head. “Always busy, barely around.”
“Sorry, I... I've just been very busy. The theater is eating me up. And there's the exams...”
Sohee smirked. “Why do you smell like coffee?”
“What?” you instinctively sniffed your shirt, the rich aroma of espresso lingering faintly.
Eunji gasped, scandalized. “You totally went out with someone!”
Sohee just shook her head knowingly, already seeing through you. “Liar.”
“Alright, fine! I got coffee with Mingyu. Happy now?”
As soon as the words left your mouth, Sohee’s eyes gleamed with mischief. “Mingyu from the soccer team?”
Eunji, on the other hand, nearly leaped off the couch. “Girl, you rocked it! I knew you had game, but Mingyu? That man is fine.”
You groaned, already regretting your life choices. “It wasn’t a thing, okay? We’re friends. We had coffee. That’s it.”
Eunji scoffed, dramatic as ever. “Honey, nothing with Mingyu is just coffee. That man doesn’t do casual.” she clasped her hands together like she was already planning your wedding.
You sighed, exasperated. “Make her stop.” you turned to Sohee, your last hope.
But Sohee just smirked. “I mean… she’s not wrong.”
You sighed, rubbing your temples. “Oh my God.”
“Look, you’ve been drowning in rehearsals and exams. Maybe this is a good thing,” Sohee added, ever the voice of reason.
A good thing. That uneasy feeling crawled up your spine again.
Because the problem wasn’t Mingyu.
Because you had met someone. Someone who already occupied every corner of your mind. Someone who texted you with demands instead of invitations. Someone who kissed like it was the only language he spoke.
And that someone sure as hell wasn’t Mingyu.
“Alright, I’m done.” you grabbed your things and stood up. “I’m taking a shower. Goodnight.”
Before they could say another word, you ducked into your room, shutting the door behind you.
Now, if only you could shut off your thoughts just as easily.

It was lunchtime, and the table was buzzing with chatter. It had been nearly two days since you’d heard from Bangchan. Odd, right? The silence felt almost intentional. No texts, no glances that said too much.
You were sharing a basket of French fries with Hyunjin when suddenly, that topic came up. Jisung was DJing at another party this weekend, and everyone was planning to go. Of course, Eunji—bless her heart and big mouth—decided now was the time to bring up the perfect subject.
“You should invite Mingyu, now that you’re going out and all.”
You nearly choked on a fry, coughing like you’d just inhaled a cloud of smoke. Hyunjin slapped your back, but you could feel all eyes on you as the table went silent, then turned to look in your direction.
Bangchan, seated across from you, slouched in his chair like he didn’t care. But you knew better. The tension radiating from him was like a ticking time bomb.
“You’re seeing Mingyu?” Hyunjin’s voice dripped with mock disbelief. “How am I your best friend, and this is news to me?”
Great. Just great. The whole table was waiting for an answer, and suddenly, everything felt like it was about to spiral out of control.
“Going out with Mingyu? Really?” Changbin raised an eyebrow, clearly entertained. “I thought you had better taste, bro.”
“For fuck’s sake, I’m not dating anyone!” you shot back, finally managing to catch your breath after the shock of the conversation.
“Sure, sure. But you two went out the other day, didn’t you?” Eunji grinned, clearly enjoying every second of it.
You felt it before you saw it: Bangchan’s eyes, burning into the side of your head. His silence wasn’t just a void, it was a warning, sharp and heavy. You should’ve felt guilty—after all, you had brushed him aside for Mingyu.
“But we’re not together,” you quickly clarified, hoping to quell whatever storm was brewing behind his eyes. “And he’s practically at every party anyway. It’s not like he’s not going to show up.”
Eunji wasn’t buying it. “Still should invite him, though.”
Hyunjin tossed an arm around your shoulders, all casual but still sorta protective. “Alright, stop messing with my girl,” he said, voice light but you could tell he wasn’t having it.
You muttered a quick ‘thank you,’ relieved when the focus shifted away from you. Your thoughts drifted as you nibbled on the end of your fry, mind half on your food, half on the tension buzzing at the table.
Bangchan, though, wasn't as distracted. He sat there, twisting his tongue inside his cheek, fighting off the surge of frustration coiling in his gut. The thought of you with Mingyu? It hit him like a wrecking ball. Not just because you had ditched him for the guy, but Mingyu.
He could hardly keep his anger in check. Only his closest friends knew the history between the two of them—and no one, especially not you, would ever guess how deep that hatred ran.
He couldn’t stand it any longer. Without a word, he stood, breaking the rhythm of the conversation.
“Leaving already?” Changbin asked, raising an eyebrow. Lunch still had half an hour left, but Bangchan didn’t seem to care.
“Yeah, gotta handle something,” he muttered, his voice sharp enough to make everyone shut up for a second.
The group barely noticed his departure. You certainly didn’t. After all, it wasn’t like anything was out of the ordinary. Right?
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e235932ca7b3fffe1119e3e8ef222867/205c03d888d0ac14-77/s540x810/579e4ddcb040c775e79a17322014339bc5f44066.jpg)
The days were flying by, and with every one that passed, the auditions loomed closer. The lineup was finally set—each student would perform next Friday, the day before Jisung’s party. No pressure or anything. Your nerves were on high alert, and anxiety was practically gnawing at your bones.
And then there was Bangchan. Or rather, the lack of him. You hadn’t heard a word from him in days. During the rare times you actually sat with the guys for lunch, his seat was just... empty. And you pretended not to care, stealing quick glances and keeping your mouth shut.
Most of your free time was spent holed up in the library, pretending to study, or locked in your room, trying to convince yourself that, yes, you could totally make it through the semester without crumbling under stress. Mingyu had texted you a few times, but you’d dodged his messages so hard that even you felt guilty about it.
Not that he seemed to care. The guy was persistent. He still wanted to take you out, get to know you, charm his way into... whatever he was aiming for. Just today, he’d invited you to join him and the soccer team at some bar near campus. Apparently, they were celebrating a big win—not that you had a single clue who they even played against.
You needed to get out. Desperately. But showing up solo to a team hangout? That was a level of confidence even you didn’t have. So, naturally, you did what any sane person would—you called your emergency contact.
Hyunjin picked up before the second ring.
“Well, well, look who finally decided to return from the dead,” he drawled.
“Yeah, yeah. Roast me later. Right now, I need a favor.”
“Hm. Depends.”
“There’ll be drinks,” you baited, already knowing his answer.
He sighed dramatically. “Fine. But if I go, you have to give me the full rundown on whatever mess you’ve got going on with Mingyu.”
You exhaled sharply, tilting your head back like the universe was punishing you. “Ugh. Deal.”
Satisfied, you threw on a black fit—strappy top, skirt, boots, plus a long-sleeved cardigan for balance—and grabbed your phone to text Hyunjin.
And that’s when you saw him.
Bangchan.
Walking toward his dorm, jacket slung over his shoulder, bag in one hand. The second he spotted you, it was like his brain hit a hard reset. Blue screen. No thoughts, just you.
You, on the other hand? You just…froze. Phone still hovering mid-air like you were trying to signal the mothership.
He looked good, annoyingly so—tired, sure, but with that effortlessly undone look that made you want to fix things that weren’t even broken. And judging by the way his jaw tightened ever so slightly, he wasn’t exactly thrilled to see you looking this good either.
You could practically hear the battle happening in his head. Logic telling him to keep walking. Instinct screaming at him to drag you somewhere private and remind you exactly why you shouldn’t be ignoring him.
But no. Neither of you moved. Just standing there, locked in some ridiculous silent standoff from across the way.
That is, until a hand brushed against yours.
“Took you long enough,” Hyunjin teased, but his voice trailed off the second he noticed who had stolen your attention. His steps slowed, eyes flicking between you and Bangchan like he’d just walked into the middle of a soap opera.
You bit back a smirk, shoving down the weird twist in your stomach. “Shall we?”
Hyunjin hesitated, still piecing things together. Then, with a last glance at Bangchan—who looked like he was about two seconds away from saying something he’d regret—he sighed.
“Yeah,” he muttered, brows still furrowed. “Let’s go.”
The moment you step into the bar, Mingyu zeroes in on you like a man on a mission—half-drunk, half-thrilled, and entirely shameless about how his gaze drags over you. He grins, tells you how gorgeous you look, and hands you a shot of soju like it’s a requirement for entry.
Hyunjin, of course, fits right in immediately, the social butterfly that he is. Meanwhile, you start to relax, the initial nerves fading as the drinks flow and the unfamiliar space becomes less intimidating. Mingyu’s friends are nice—too nice. The kind of nice that feels like they're sizing you up, like you’re some kind of prize waiting to be claimed. Mingyu’s prize.
The room is loud, buzzing with alcohol-fueled laughter and drunken debates, but your thoughts are fixated on something else. Someone else. And damn it, Mingyu is right there, flashing that easy smile, brushing his fingers against yours like it’s an accident every single time. Complimenting you in ways that should make your stomach flip.
But all you can think about is the guy who hasn’t spoken to you in days. The one who supposedly doesn’t want you anymore.
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
With a frustrated sigh, you push back your chair and stand. You’re not even tipsy, but everything suddenly feels too hot, too suffocating.
“I need water,” you mutter, more to yourself than anyone else, and head for the bar before you do something stupid.
Mingyu appeared at your side, leaning against the bar like he had all the time in the world.
"All good?"
You forced a smile, gripping the cool glass of water like it could ground you. "Yeah. Just needed something cold."
"Glad you came," he said, smirking slightly as he looked down at you.
He’s the one you should want, the one who actually wants you.
Your gaze flickered to his lips. A bad idea waiting to happen.
Mingyu caught the hesitation, eyes darkening as he glanced between your lips and your eyes. You barely had time to register what was happening before your hands found his shoulders, his lips pressing against yours.
The guys erupted in cheers, their drunken approval ringing out across the bar.
And after that, a blur of stolen kisses, too much soju, and voices too loud to ignore.
The night air was crisp against your flushed skin as you and Hyunjin walked back toward campus. The distant hum of the city buzzed in your ears, the alcohol still warm in your veins, though the high of the night had started to fade. Your heels clicked against the pavement, and Hyunjin, ever the gentleman, walked just a step closer in case you stumbled.
“You good?” he asked, nudging you lightly with his elbow.
You hummed a response, not trusting yourself to say anything else. Your mind was a tangled mess of soju, Mingyu’s lips, and something deeper—something you weren’t ready to admit.
Hyunjin let the silence settle for a moment before he spoke again. “If I ask you something, will you be honest with me?”
You sighed, already bracing yourself. Here it comes. “If it’s about Mingyu, I—”
“It’s not.” he cut you off, tone softer than before. “It’s about Bangchan.”
Your stomach twisted.
You stopped walking, your breath caught somewhere between your lungs and your throat. Your hands fidgeted, grasping for something—anything—to ground you. “Why would you ask that?” you muttered, trying to play it off, but even you could hear the slight tremble in your voice.
Hyunjin tilted his head, studying you. “I figured it all out.”
A sharp inhale stung your chest, and before you could even think of a response, it hit you. The overwhelming, suffocating weight of everything you’d been trying to bury. The frustration, the confusion, the way he made you feel like you were something and nothing all at once.
“Oh, shit,” Hyunjin muttered, eyes widening as the tears spilled over. “Come here.”
He pulled you into his chest, letting you press your face into his shoulder. You clung to his jacket, shaking as silent sobs wracked through you. Half-drunk, half-heartbroken, you let yourself break in the only safe place you had at that moment—Hyunjin’s arms.
“I don’t— I don’t know what the hell I’m doing,” you mumbled against the fabric of his hoodie, voice barely above a whisper.
Hyunjin sighed, rubbing soothing circles on your back. “It’s okay. Just breathe.”
But it wasn’t okay. None of it was.
After a few minutes, he gently pulled away and wordlessly handed you a bottle of water he’d bought from a vending machine nearby. You took it with shaky hands, gulping down the cool liquid as if it could wash away the lump in your throat.
As you wiped your eyes, Hyunjin leaned against the streetlamp, watching you carefully. “Talk to me. What’s going on with you and Bangchan?”
You let out a bitter laugh, shaking your head. “I wish I knew.”
He raised an eyebrow, waiting.
With a deep, shaky breath, you finally let it spill. “It started as something casual. No expectations.” your fingers tightened around the water bottle. “But then he started pulling away. And I don’t know if it’s because he got bored, or if I did something wrong, or if this was always the plan. I don’t even know if I want more, but the fact that I’m this messed up over it?” you scoffed, blinking back fresh tears. “That has to mean something, right?”
Hyunjin exhaled, his gaze thoughtful. “Damn.”
You let out a wet laugh. “That’s all you got?”
“I mean, what do you want me to say? That doesn’t sound casual to me.”
Your stomach twisted. You knew that. You knew that. But hearing it out loud made it real in a way you weren’t ready for.
You swallowed hard, voice small. “I got myself into this mess. I was the one who asked him to keep it a secret.”
Hyunjin frowned, his posture shifting. “Why?”
“Because I was scared,” you admitted, the words raw in your throat. “Scared of what people would say. Scared of the judgment. You know how it is—girls get torn apart for way less. And I worked too hard, cared too much to be reduced to just that girl who’s hooking up with Bangchan.” you laughed bitterly, shaking your head. “And now? Now I don’t even know how to deal with it. Because I was supposed to hate him, Hyunjin.”
Hyunjin was quiet for a moment, his usual teasing gone. When he finally spoke, his voice was steady. “You don’t have to figure it all out tonight. But you also don’t have to go through this alone.”
Your throat tightened. “I feel like an idiot.”
“You’re not an idiot.” he bumped his shoulder against yours. “You’re just in deep.”
You exhaled shakily, leaning into his warmth as you both started walking again.
“Look, I don’t have the answers. But I do know you’re not crazy for feeling this way.” he squeezed your shoulder. “And if he’s too much of an idiot to see what he has, then maybe you should let him be the one losing sleep over it.”
You sniffled, managing a weak smile. “You’re my soulmate, Hyun.”
“Damn right I am,” he said, flashing you a grin. “Now drink your water before you pass out, drama queen.”
You laughed—actually laughed—and for the first time that night, the weight on your chest felt just a little bit lighter.

The day had finally arrived. Showtime. No matter how many times you’d done this, stepping on stage always felt like a first-time, heart-in-your-throat kind of thing.
Up in the audience, Seungmin, Hyunjin, and Sohee were posted a few rows above Mrs. Baek, waiting for you to do your thing. No pressure.
Backstage was quiet—eerily so. You sat there, taking slow, deep breaths, wiping your sweaty palms against your thighs like a seasoned pro in pre-show anxiety management. You were next. Three minutes. One shot. No room for mediocrity.
You’d chosen a song that wasn’t just sentimental—it was a statement. A vocal rollercoaster that climbed from deep, rich lows to a falsetto so clean it could cut glass. If you were going to go down, at least you’d do it swinging.
Reaching into your bag for your water bottle, you were mid-sip when movement in the distance caught your attention.
And just like that, reality glitched. Bangchan.
It was almost ridiculous how unreal he looked, like a mirage conjured from some fever dream. You hadn’t seen him in days, and yet here he was, strolling in like he hadn’t been living rent-free in your mind this whole damn time.
Laptop in hand, fingers flying across the keyboard, looking every bit the sound tech genius he was. You hadn’t expected him to actually show up for this gig, but—oh, look—there he was, punching buttons like he was defusing a bomb.
Then, he saw you. And something shifted.
His fingers stilled, tightening around the laptop.
The air was heavy. The tension was palpable. Whatever was going on between you two didn’t need words—it was written in every sharp breath, every stolen glance.
And just like that, your pre-show jitters had a new contender.
"Hi," you muttered, shifting uncomfortably.
Bangchan gave you a small, polite smile—too polite. Something about it felt off. The usual spark in his eyes? Gone. And that was all it took for reality to sink in.
So that’s it, huh?
The game was over. You had your answer. He was done, and honestly? You couldn’t even be mad—because weren’t you just as much to blame?
Mrs. Baek’s voice cut through the buzzing in your head, thanking the student who had just finished performing. You’re next.
You turned away from Bangchan, unscrewed your water bottle, and took a long sip, willing yourself to focus. Breathe. Lock in. You’ve got this.
Then it happened. A warm touch on your waist—his touch.
Your body betrayed you instantly, heat rippling through your skin like a live wire. It had been days, and yet, all it took was this—a single touch—to remind you how much you’d missed him.
You spun around, frowning, swallowing hard as your gaze locked onto his.
Bangchan didn’t back down. If anything, he doubled down.
His arm lifted, caging you in the small space between you and the backstage wall, pulling your bodies so close it was downright insane. His head tilted slightly, studying you, reading every little reaction like he already knew the ending to this story.
Without warning, Bangchan crashed his lips onto yours, his free hand gripping your waist like he had no plans of letting go. His palm slid up your back, fingers teasing under the hem of your shirt, branding heat into your skin.
You barely had time to process before his tongue was in your mouth, claiming, demanding—like he was making up for every second of distance between you.
A sound slipped past your lips—a mix between a sigh and a moan, involuntary, unstoppable.
God, you hated how easily he unraveled you. And worse? You loved it too.
Your fingers curled into the fabric of his sweatshirt, yanking him closer—like you needed him just a little closer, just a little longer. Your lips moved in sync, deepening the moment, drowning out everything else.
Then—
Mrs. Baek’s voice rang through the backstage, shouting your name.
Then reality crashed back in.
But instead of nerves clawing at your stomach, instead of the suffocating pressure you’d felt moments ago, there was something lighter—something electric. Like a field of wildflowers blooming where anxiety used to sit.
You pulled back, panting, heart racing, but this time? You were smiling. Bangchan, just as breathless, leaned in, his lips brushing the shell of your ear.
"Break a leg," he murmured.
And just like that, you knew you would.

Potato Chip
Happy Valentine's Day to the couple walking back to their place tonight carrying bags of potato chips. You inspired me.
Steve gets Eddie the wrong Valentine's Day gift.
Smoking weed and blow jobs under the cut.
Potato Chip
It probably wasn't the best time to ask, but Steve was baked, and no one here would care. It wasn't like they all didn't know already, anyway. Steve was already pressed against Eddie, from his little toe all the way up his leg and hip, tangling their arms together and bumping shoulders as they wrestled for space on the couch together.
Eddie toked and held the blunt for Steve, who obliged by taking his own toke, before he leaned over Steve - grabbing a grope with his hidden hand - as he passed the blunt to Argyle. As Eddie withdrew, Steve whispered, "What do you wanna do for Valentine's Day."
It was a bad time to ask, and like a month out, but Steve hadn't celebrated a Valentine's Day with a dude before, and he was kind of excited about it. Plus, this was his first Valentine's Day since 1984, which didn't make him feel kind of pathetic. He always had a date, but fuck if a second date with a girl who could barely stand him but wanted to see if the rumors about his big dick were true was only one step up from being single. And only because he got laid.
So, it didn't matter if it was a bad time to ask. What mattered was that it was on his mind, and he was too stoned to think it through.
Eddie, though, Eddie was maybe just too stoned. "Potato chip."
"What?" Steve asked. If Eddie wanted potato chips, he could do that, but he wasn't sure exactly what that meant?
"What?" Eddie asked as if he finally realized Steve was talking to him.
"What?" Jon asked from where he was lying on the floor.
"Who?" Argyle laughed. "I've heard this sketch before."
Nancy giggled from where she was lying down between Argyle, who was half-draped on the couch, and Jon on the floor. "Who."
"Like an owl," Argyle agreed before he started hooting like an owl.
"Doctor?" Robin asked at the same time.
"Oh, Will watches that on PBS," Jon said.
Argyle continued to hoot.
"I think this conversation is going over my head," Steve admitted.
"I'm hungry," Eddie said. "I'm raiding the kitchen."
"Bring back chips," Robin called out over Argyle, Jon, and Nancy, hooting at each other.
"Yeah, duh."
+++
Steve only realized as he was walking with Eddie into his house that perhaps, just maybe, he should have asked again. Or thought about it more?
"I brought the good stuff," Eddie said as he kicked off his shoes before he wandered into the house towards the den.
"The good stuff?" Steve asked, not really paying attention because he was suddenly very unsure about his plans for their evening.
"California weed from Argyle?" Eddie asked, turning around.
"Is that a question?"
"It is now, I thought the plan was to get high, make out, and crash here? I already let Wayne know I'm staying the night? I thought the plan was I'm bringing the weed, and you were supplying the lube?"
"Did we talk about this?" Steve asked worried that he was starting to forget whole conversations. Maybe Robin was right, and those concussions really were going to have a lasting impact on his brain.
"Uh, of course-"Eddie trailed off as his eyes widened. "Uh, I thought that- But now I'm thinking about it, I'm pretty sure my thoughts stayed thoughts, and I never answered your question?"
"My question?"
"What I wanted to do for Valentine's Day. You asked, like, last month."
"You told me this?"
"I'm not so sure that I did."
"Because you told me something, but-"
"I told you something?"
"Uh, why don't you come into the kitchen and see for yourself?"
Eddie blinked a few times before he dashed off to the kitchen, Steve scrambling to keep up behind him.
"What the?" Eddie shouted as Steve rounded the corner to the kitchen.
"Surprise!" Steve tried to bring enthusiasm to his voice, but he was seriously doubting himself right now.
"What is all this?" Eddie asked, gesturing to the kitchen island.
Steve had decked out the island with three large bowls of chips. One plain, one sour cream and chive (Eddie's favorite), and the final was a crinkle cut. Steve had prevaricated on that choice a lot. Should he get a third flavor like BBQ? Or should it all be plain chips to compliment the dips? But not getting Eddie his favorite wasn't a good idea. So he compromised and got Eddie's favorite and two plain ones in different textures.
God, he probably overthought something so stupid.
He'd also made a handful of dips. Onion dip, of course. Then there was a homemade ranch he made with buttermilk - he now had so much buttermilk in his fridge that he had to figure out how to finish. There was a veggie dip that Robin really liked. It was green and almost like having a vegetable. Healthyish. Then, finally, there was millionaire dip - an old family favorite with bacon, cheddar, and chive.
"Uh. Ta-da!" Steve said, his voice fading. "Potato chip feast!"
"Is this for us?"
"Technically, it's for you because you asked for potato chips?"
"Potato chips?" Eddie said, finally turning to Steve and stalking towards him.
"You said, and I quote, 'potato chip'."
"Nothing about lube?" Eddie asked, getting up in Steve's space and pushing him back into the hallway wall.
"Uh, nope. I mean, I have some upstairs, but I didn't get anything special."
"You just got me-"
"Potato chip. Yup."
Eddie's confused expression broke like dawn as he loomed over Steve, slumped against the wall, looking up at his boyfriend. "You made me a potato chip feast because I was so high that I told you 'potato chip' and didn't tell you what I actually wanted?"
Steve sighed. "I know I should have-"
"Shhh, shhh, shhh," Eddie said as he held up his finger against Steve's lips. "This is amazing, and I'm getting the feeling that you don't realize how amazing it is."
"But this isn't even-"
"No, this is better. We can get shit-faced and feast. No, wait. We can fuck and then get shit-faced and feast." Eddie said as he lowered himself to his knees.
"Uh," Steve said, still not having caught up with Eddie. It didn't matter, though, because Eddie pulled out Steve's half-hard dick and swallowed it down. "Oh, shit."
Eddie hummed as he worked his mouth up and down Steve's rapidly hardening shaft.
"I guess," Steve breathed out and worked to keep his hips still. "You like your gift."
Eddie's response was to pull Steve's balls out and fondle them, which always made Steve's knees melt.
"Fuck, Eddie."
Eddie didn't respond; he just kept sucking Steve's brain out of his dick until he couldn't think straight. He didn't last long, couldn't like this. Steve came with a grunt, and Eddie swallowed every last drop.
Steve was still stupid from how quickly Eddie had worked him over. Eddie tucked Steve back in his pants before he stood up and kissed Steve. A hint of the bleachy taste of his spunk was on Eddie's lips. Shit, did that get him going.
"Let's take this upstairs, huh?" Eddie said. "You got that lube, right?"
"Yeah," Steve breathed out, letting Eddie drag him upstairs. "Yeah, I have lube."
"And the dips will keep?"
Steve blinked. "Uh, for a bit. Sure."
"Cool. I don't think I'm gonna last long tonight, anyway. We can do something more elaborate tomorrow. Now let's go celebrate Valentine's Day."
