#I find that most popular interps of the popular characters feel wrong to me

At the oddest point ever where most Kirby blogs don’t suit my taste so I only follow like four that post like once a week, and as a consequence my dash is more Danny Phantom at this point even though I have been out of the fandom for uhhhh. Five going on six years now. And to thin out the phantom content I have mutuals posting about Journey to the West and also Miraculous Ladybug, both are media I haven’t consumed. Seeing Kirby posts on my dash is like encountering a shiny Pokémon

To me, the modern day Hetalia fandom is FILLED with character interpretation cliques 😭😭 It’s so hard to find active blogs that don’t only reblog and/or make content based on the Exact Same hc’s. I’m not trying to yuck anyone’s yum or whatever tf the babygirl character version of that would be, but damn does it sometimes feel like I’m making them OOC when I hc something completely different 💀

FOR REAL THO!! And people get so violent over them too 😭 like god forbid you say that you don’t like a certain character or hc 💀💀. Don’t get me started on the weird ass popularity hierarchy that fandoms have lol.

Like of course there’s nothing wrong with like certain characters interps and wanting to interact with those but sometimes it gets into this weird echo chamber where they end up turning into the most ooc or flat characters ever and people act like those are the most complex characterizations ever 😭
