#today I am sad about something that I know objectively is dumb#my 30th birthday is next week and the party will be next Saturday and I’m having a dinner at a nice restaurant in town#I wasn’t supposed to make it to 30 and never thought I would but now somehow I have and so this birthday is like…#a really huge deal to me you know#and I always wanted to be able to have a big party to celebrate this specific occasion and in my head I pictured all my friends/family there#I figured this would be one of the biggest parties I’d ever get to throw because to me this is the biggest milestone I’ve gotten to so far#but out of all the people I’ve invited the most that will probably reasonably show is about 10#and even that’s a bit iffy because tbh I’m pretty sure my bestie will flake on me like he always does#and if he doesn’t show up that might just end the friendship but that’s another matter entirely#also iffy because I haven’t gotten a lot of responses still even though I made the event and sent invites two weeks ago#I just… thought I had more friends than that if that makes sense#like I had bigger parties with more people attending in high school and I barely had any friends then#I’ve thrown low key Halloween parties in my mom’s apartment that had more people show up#now I’m at the most important moment of my life (so far) and I’ll barely have anyone with me#lately it just feels like less and less people care about me for real despite how many I know around work or how many are on my Facebook#it feels like my world keeps shrinking and I really don’t want that because it’s been small enough as it is#I just feel like I’m never really going to find my place or have big groups of friends like everyone else#I’m never going to have a group of friends or people I can rely on to spend time with me when needed#as it is planning things gets harder the older we get anyway just due to needing to tend to adult life#guess I still just want what everyone else has and I don’t know why I can’t have those things#and I know it’s stupid and selfish and whiny but I really want to cry because I’m so depressed that I have barely anyone in my life at all#barely anyone to celebrate something so important to me and so few who even seem to care at all either#I’m grateful for everyone I do have honestly#but that doesn’t offset this weird pain in my chest over this whole situation#maybe I should just curl up and cry until this all passes and I can go back to pretending it doesn’t matter#personal

Dr. Daredevil (Jay Park AU)
Chaeyeon
The first time Park Jaebeom and I met was in med school.
I knew exactly who he was, even though I pretended to not care about him. Every girl on campus wanted to date him and every guy wanted to be him.
As the chairman’s only grandson he was bound to inherit his family’s fortune one day. Of course he didn’t have to study or get good grades. Since birth, everything was handed to him on a silver platter.
I, on the other hand, needed to do well. Every day. My life depended on it.
“Have you heard? Park Jaebeom is throwing a party for his birthday.” My best friend, Soojung, casually said while joining me in the cafeteria.
“No. Why would I?”
It was a lie. I knew exactly that Jaebeom’s birthday was approaching.
“I also heard he’s handing out invitations.”
Soojung plopped down next to me, meticulously unwrapping her sandwich.
“Surely he’ll only invite the cool kids.” I countered soberly.
“For once I’d like you to have some confidence!” She said, looking straight at me. I could tell my comment hurt her, even though she knew herself that we weren’t part of the cool crowd. Ever.
“I’m sorry! I hope you get an invitation.”
“I hope we’ll both get one.” She countered back.
I side-eyed her and focused back on my book.
When my last class ended, I gathered my stuff and walked out with quick steps so I wouldn’t miss my bus.
“Chaeyeon, wait! I have something to ask you.” Someone called after me while I ran down the stairs. I didn’t need to turn around to know who the voice belonged to.
The people around me stopped and stared, waiting to see what would happen.
I wonder why Park Jaebeom needs to speak to the biggest nerd on the entire campus?
“My birthday’s this Saturday. Here! I brought you an invitation.”
I cocked my eyebrow at him, trying to figure out if there was a motive behind his weird behavior. Only too late did I noticed that the time had passed and my bus had left without me. Again.
“Great! Now I missed my bus!”
“I’ll drive you home!”
I wanted to decline, but would have to wait another hour for the next bus, so I begrudgingly agreed.
“How’s your paper coming along?”
My paper? Oh! At least now I know why he offered to take me home.
When I remained silent, Jaebeom cleared his throat before speaking again.
“The old man is giving me a hard time, saying I need to do better.”
“He’s not wrong, you know. After all, you’re studying to become a doctor.”
Once more I got the feeling it wasn’t his choice to go to med school. It seemed that he was pressured to go and didn’t really understand the severity of his situation. But I also knew that it didn’t really matter if he studied and did well or not. In the end he would graduate on top of his class. His grandfather would make sure of that.
“So? Are you coming to the party?”
“I don’t know.”
“You need to live a little!” He said when we stopped and locked eyes at a red light.
He sounded like my mother which made me chuckle.
“We’ll see!”
We remained silent until Jaebeom stopped in front of my apartment building where I was renting a tiny one-room apartment.
“The party starts at 7!”
I smiled faintly and nodded, silently thanking him for the ride.
~
Against my will I had put on a dress and high heels and makeup, feeling more uncomfortable than on my first day in college.
“Smile! You look like you’re in actual pain!” Soojung sneered next to me as we walked up the driveway of Jaebeom’s huge mansion.
“I am!” I blurted out, giving my friend the side eye. “Remember our agreement! No alcohol and we’re only staying for an hour.”
“Yeah, yeah. I got it, mother.” She mocked back, rolling her eyes.
As soon as I entered, I wanted to turn around on the spot and leave. The music was too loud, people were already too drunk and I felt like I was suffocating. Random people were handing me questionable drinks in red solo cups which I firmly rejected.
I found an empty spot in a corner and stood there, leaning back against the wall, checking my watch every five minutes. Soojung had already disappeared in the masses, only her loud squeals could be heard and from time to time I would spot her small frame amidst the people, dancing.
The air in the room changed when Park Jaebeom joined the crowd. His eyes scanned the room until they landed on me. He grinned as he made his way to where I was plastered against the wall. A literal wallflower. Frantically, I looked for an escape route but I had successfully trapped myself.
“Nice to see you made it!”
I snorted, raising an eyebrow, eyeing him suspiciously.
“Let’s go somewhere quieter. I have something to ask you.” He said, casually grabbing my arm, leading me through the crowd. My head whipped around constantly trying to see if anyone paid attention to us. But people were too preoccupied and too drunk to care.
On the staircase, leading up to the bedrooms, I put my heels down making Jaebeom stop abruptly.
“It’s quiet enough here. What do you have to say?”
Despite trying my best to sound cool and unaffected, Jaebeom realized he was having an effect on me. Smiling mischievously, he inched closer, casually leaning against the wall behind me, trapping me between it and his body.
“I heard you’re the smartest student in our class.”
“You heard right!” I replied cockily. “Why are you asking?”
“I’m sure you heard that there’s going to be a group project soon. I think we should be in a team, you and I.”
I snorted lightly. The chairman’s grandson was a sly fox. Of course he wouldn’t actually sit his ass down and study. I wondered if his grandfather knew about it.
“It seems like only you would benefit from such a deal.”
“That’s not true.” He said. “Your popularity would skyrocket.”
“I’m not sure I want that.” I replied again, still unwilling to look at him. The smell of his perfume was intoxicating, confusing my senses momentarily, clouding my judgment.
“Think about it, it could actually be fun. Oh, and if you still need an incentive, I would even be willing to pay.”
At that I raised my head. Did he just offer me money because he didn’t know how else to persuade me or was he actually aware of my financial situation?
My parents back home worked themselves to the bone, so her only daughter could study medicine in Seoul. Of course money was tight.
“I’ll think about it.” I eventually said, just to get him off my back. He was standing dangerously close to me, constantly licking his lips, his eyes piercing through mine.
Suddenly I felt incredibly hot and in a desperate attempt to escape his piercing glare, I slipped under his arm and sprinted outside. The fresh air was a welcoming change and I fished out my phone from my purse, calling Soojung with trembling hands.
“I wanna go!”
“But it hasn’t been an hour yet!” She yelled into her phone.
“Then I’m leaving by myself.” I had no intentions to stay and run into Jaebeom again. And the likelihood of that happening was big.
“Fine. Give me a minute. I’ll be out soon.”
I kept the fact that I worked with Jaebeom a secret. Especially since Soojung had become obsessed with him after being at his party. In the end it was just his name I would put next to mine when I submitted the paper. No big deal.
The two of us would meet after school at his house. There would be snacks and fruits on the table and classical music would play in the background.
At first I thought it was funny, thinking Jaebeom did all of that to impress me. But as I visited his house more often I realized that others were setting the mood. In the end I pitied him. Clearly he felt uncomfortable but had to play his part, whether he liked it or not.
“Urgh, my brain hurts! I need a break.” He announced dramatically, shutting the books in front of him.
I wanted to correct him by saying that the brain can’t feel pain but let him be. Instead I followed him upstairs because I felt uncomfortable being left alone in this huge mansion.
Too late I realized he was heading straight into his bedroom. And likewise, he only noticed I had been following him when he closed the door.
“I’m sorry, I-” I muttered but the words got stuck in my throat.
“It’s okay.”
Nervously, I checked the time on my phone, my brain working in overtime to come up with an excuse to leave.
“No, you’re right. We studied nonstop for hours. I think it’s enough for today. I better go now.”
Before I could get to the door, he sneaked off behind me, blocking the exit.
“Chaeyeon, the brain can’t feel pain. I thought you knew that! After all, you’re supposed to be the smart one in this room.”
I chuckled, realizing that I walked right into Jaebeom’s trap. He smiled before he peeled his back off the door, taking a step in my direction. Then another. And another.
“You don’t have a boyfriend, do you?” The question took me by surprise, and for a second I debated on how to answer it wisely. But then I remembered who I was talking to.
“Did you ever have a boyfriend?” He asked again, this time in a high pitched tone.
“Don’t be ridiculous! I’m 23. Not a teen.”
“So, no then.”
I opened my mouth to say something but closed it again. I had no words, no good comeback. And Jaebeom knew that. Smirking, he took another step forward, our noses almost touching. That’s how close he was.
“Don’t be too startled.” He cautioned, before his head dipped down and his soft lips connected with mine.
The kiss was exhilarating. Every fiber of my body was activated by Jaebeom’s lips exploring mine. His hands casually rested on either side of my waist. I heard my quickened pulse in my ears. I felt the heat rise in my cheeks, felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Smelled his perfume as well as some fabric softener on him.
I was aware of every little detail, felt more alive than ever, yet at the same time it felt like a dream. Like somebody else had possessed my body.
Seconds felt like hours, and when he finally broke the kiss, Jaebeom looked at me intently. I didn’t move, didn’t flinch. He then smiled lightly and nodded.
“I think you’re right. We can work on the rest next time.”
Like a gentleman, he walked me out and even waited with me for my taxi to arrive.
That day I went home with mixed feelings. I didn’t want to be the stupid, gullible and easily impressed inexperienced girl but couldn’t help getting ideas in my head. The only thing I knew for sure was that I needed to keep this a secret. No one could find out about our kiss. Especially not Soojung.
My imaginary bubble would soon burst anyway. After the group project ended Jaebeom hardly ever talked or even looked at me. It was as if I never existed. I had expected such behavior, the only thing I regretted was wasting my first kiss on him.

Hi hi! I'm back with another chapter. This one might not be as good(?, it's a really fluffy chapter so bear with me.
warnings: sugar daddy jae, he's a big baby, tooth rotting, kinda long.
sugar rush m.list.
taglist: @thoreeo @trustmahluv @sunny-nyu @nanascupid @silent-potato
“Sir, there’s a girl asking to see you.”
“Hey, I’m not a girl!” He chuckled as his finger pressed the button to communicate with his secretary.
“Hey, I’m not a girl!” He chuckled as his finger pressed the button to communicate with his secretary.
“Hey, I’m not a girl!” He chuckled as his finger pressed the button to communicate with his secretary.
“Let her in.”
Only a few seconds later, your head was peeking through his door.
“I brought you coffee.” You extended your hand out, showing him the carton containing two iced drinks. “Are you busy?”
“Not at all, come in.” You sat on the elegant, individual sofa in front of him, his desk serving as a separation. “Are you here to spy on me? Don't you trust me with your father's case?” He pouted, typing something in his keyboard while your palms started sweating.
How could you not trust the man with the highest case winning index in the whole country?
Briefly, after your encounter with the other lawyer, you'd googled him as well as his company. Because of his incredibly high fees, he didn't have many clients, but those few who had enough money to cost him were almost assured to be on the winning side. So then, why hadn't an excellent lawyer like him popped up when you'd first looked for popular firms? Simple, he wasn't popular.
Just like a hidden gem, only a few had the pleasure to know Yoonoh, and you felt beyond grateful for paying that stupid membership weeks ago.
“No, no!” You were quick to defend yourself, frantically shaking your hands to support your previous statement. “Just wanted to be of help.”
Truth to be told, after receiving your first weekly allowance, an unsettling feeling had been squeezing your heart ever since. Call it guilt or whatever, but it didn't set right to be receiving si much help from him when you hadn't had the chance to do anything in return. The least you could do was trying to be polite.
“You shouldn't be spending your money on me. I'm the one supposed to spoil you, remember?” He grabbed the plastic container by the lid, sipping the bitter liquid with an amused smile. “But thank you.”
“I paid my rent yesterday.” You blurted out, trying to avoid the uncomfortable silence threatening to settle between the two of you. “And I still have money left to save for my father's hospital bills, maybe even buy a present for my aunt.”
He admired how noble you were, making sure those around you had enough before even thinking to do something for yourself.
“I have a party this Friday, would you like to attend with me?” Your presence wasn't required as it wasn't a big event, but by the look in your eyes, he knew you were itching to do something in return for his kindness.
“Yes, of course!” Your orbs sparkled with excitement, finally feeling yourself useful.
“If you don't mind waiting, we can go buy something for you to wear right after I finish with this.” For what seemed like the tenth time in less than ten minutes, small beads of sweat rolled down the back of your neck. Thank God he wasn't able to see them. “Oh, come on, don't give me that look!”
“You’ve already done so much for me. I can buy the clothes myself, don't worry.” With a deep sigh, Yoonoh rose from his chair, taking long strides to surround the desk separating you. “W-what are you doing?” Now kneeling on the floor beneath you, his face was dangerously close to yours, coffee breath crashing against your nose.
“Using mind control to convince you to let me take you out.” He stared at you for a couple more seconds before saying: “Is it working?”
“I think your mind control is broken.” You whisper, unable to hold back the small giggles bubbling at the back of your throat.
“How about now?” He batted his eyelashes, trying to act cute despite his bold features. You shook your head.
Just as you thought it was over, his hand went up to cup your jaw, his thumb drawing uneven figures on the ticklish skin.
“How about now?” He repeated. You stammered, unsure of what to say. “Sorry, that was inappropriate.” Aware of your awkwardness and the rising heat in your cheeks, he stood up, walking back to his chair. “But I do want to get you something, would you let me?”
With your mind busy and your guard low, you nodded, unaware of the silly smile on his face.
“I have a few novels on my shelf in case you want something to kill time.”
“Thank you.” You moved to the huge bookshelf facing his desk, grateful your face wasn't visible anymore.
The books were ordered by genre and size, starting from the biggest law-related textbooks to pocket-sized novels, ending with the smallest one he had. The little prince.
Your eyes widened in disbelief. Yoonoh didn't seem to be the type to read that kind of heartbreaking yet beautiful book. Nonetheless, as many said, you can't judge a book by its cover.
An hour or two later, you were halfway into the first book of flowers in the attic, immersed in the small world the author had created. Yoonoh had finished his work a few minutes before, but distracting you when you were reading so vividly, seemed like a crime. He enjoyed the way your eyebrows would knit together every time something shocking happened, clearly too immersed in the novel to notice his intense gaze.
“Y/n...” He whispered once he noticed you were starting a new chapter. You blinked twice, hands clutching the book tightly as you noticed he had finished his work. “You can take it home, don't worry.”
“Sure?” He flashed his pretty dimples as his eyes turned into half-moons.
“You can come back for the rest of the saga when you finish this one. Take as many books as you please, I’ve already read them all.”
“Thank you.” Another act of kindness you had no way of returning. His favors just seemed to be piling up before you could even return any. “Would you like to have dinner with me today? I'm a great cook, or so did my father said.” You blurted out quickly, twisting your hands nervously as you waited for an answer.
“I’d love to. But I might have to attend some work calls if you don't mind.”
“I don't, maybe I'll even have time to bake a cake while you're at it.” God, how bad he wanted to take a picture of that adorably nervous smile.
“Great, so it's settled. Dinner at your place after we go shopping.” He had already put his blazer on, offering his arm to guide you out. With shaky fingers and sweaty armpits, you grabbed it, walking by his side with his secretary’s gazed glued on you. So much for a girl, huh?
Once seated in his car, with the book resting on your lap, you allowed yourself to relax. Yoonoh wasn't a bad person, on the contrary, he was very kind, so there was no use in keeping your guard up when he was around.
“Ready to roll?” You cringed at his use of slang, making him drop his head back to laugh. “What? Isn't it a thing you cool young adults say?”
“Maybe twenty years ago, Yoonoh.” It was the very first time you used his name so informally, and, oh how good it felt to hear you saying it?
“Fine, I won't use it anymore.” He poked your arm like a little child, and for a moment, you wondered if he was actually more than a decade older.
Several bad jokes, two dresses, and a quick stop at the grocery store later, you arrived at your apartment. Yoonoh held everything while you entered the passcode, struggling not to drop a can of vegetables that was starting to bend the edge of the paper bag.
“Ready, hand me something.” You both entered with your hands packed with different things. You went to your room to leave the new dresses while Yoonoh set the paper bags down on the kitchen counter.
“So...” He clapped loudly. “What are we cooking?”
“I bought the ingredients for lasagna. Is that okay with you?” He nodded, lips pressed and dimples in display. “Alright, let's do this.”
It would've been of great help if Yoonoh had told you he didn't know how to cook. But of course, part of the fault was yours for not noticing when he tried to add ketchup to the recipe.
“I burnt it.” He looked at the semi-carbonized pasta with disgust, feeling ashamed of having ruined your dish. “Let’s just throw it away and order something.” He was about to touch the hot container until your grip on his wrist halted his movements.
“We just pulled it out of the oven.” You shook your head in disbelief at the man standing in front of you.
“Sorry.”
Despite Yoonoh’s endless complaining, you ate the lasagna. The flavor wasn't that bad when you scratched off the burnt parts, especially when accompanied by a cold glass of wine.
“It’s not that bad.” You repeated over and over again. A phone call interrupted him from self-pitying any further. “Go on, take it.” You continued eating while he spoke in the living room.
It wasn't until a couple of minutes later that you realized he was whisper yelling at whoever was on the other line. It was your first time seeing him angry, and you didn't like it one bit. The way his face turned completely stoic, his eyes cold as his hand rested on his hip. Sweet, caring, Yoonoh was gone.
“I told you I needed it for today.” He said through gritted teeth. “You better get it before I arrive back at the office, or you can find yourself another job.” Even after he hung up, Yoonoh stood in the middle of the shared area, clutching his phone so tightly, it seemed like it would break any minute.
You wanted to ask if everything was alright, if he needed any help, but most importantly, if the things he needed were related to your father's case, but all the words stuck to your throat like insects in a spider web.
“I need to go.” He simply said, not even bothering to fake a smile. “Thank you for dinner, I'll see you on Friday.” With his free hand, he grabbed the coat hanging from his chair and left, slamming the door on his way out.
Was that the real Yoonoh?
A shiver ran down your spine. What had you gotten into? From what you'd seen, it was only about time he would show his true self to you as well.
All the trust you'd built up during the day, had crumbled down in a matter of seconds. The worst part? You didn't even feel entitled to be scared, not after all he'd done for you.
‘Just keep your distance.’ You repeated like a mantra as you got ready for bed, leaving the book you'd borrowed right where he'd left it, afraid it would burn your fingertips even with the slightest touch.
(...)
The week wasn't nearly as long as you'd wanted it to be, and soon enough, you were struggling to zip the dress you'd bought days ago. Your makeup was done, and Yoonoh had texted you he was on his way, yet, you'd been fighting with the zipper for at least ten minutes. Your fingers were cramping, and the clock was ticking.
Just when you'd finally started to drag the small piece of metal, the doorbell startled you, causing you to let go of it.
“Fuck!” Have you ever felt so desperate that tears start pricking your eyes? Well, that was the exact case happening at the moment.
You opened the door with the salty water collecting at the corner of your eyes, surprising Yoonoh, who was wearing his best dimply smile.
“What’s wrong?” He had a bouquet poorly hidden behind his back, probably to apologize for the night he abruptly left and almost knocked down your door.
“I-I can't zip up my dress.” Your voice came out shaky, giving away the emotions burning your gut. Thankfully, Yoonoh didn't seem to notice, and if he did, he didn't mention it.
“I’ll help you.” He, not-so-discretely, put down the bouquet, gently turning you around to your discomfort. His cold hands touched your back as he dragged the zip up, noticing how tense you were but deciding not to comment on it. “Oh! You haven't moved the book from where I left it.”
“I haven't had time to read.” He hummed, crouching to reach for the bouquet and hand it to you. “Thank you.”
“It’s my way of apologizing for the fit I threw a couple of days ago.” A fit? That was one way to call it.
“It’s okay.” You lied as you pushed the corners of your lips to form a credible smile. “Let’s get going.”
The flowers were left on the kitchen counter before you left. The ride in the elevator was awfully quiet, and Yoonoh had no idea what had happened. You were so chatty the last time he saw you, so of course, he was taken aback by the sudden change.
“It’s not going to take long, so we can head out for some drinks later if you'd like...” You nodded, for you knew speaking would only expose your discomfort. “Is everything alright?”
“Yeah! Just nervous about the party, that's all.”
You stood by Yoonoh’s side for the rest of the evening, smiling and nodding at his acquaintances’ comments. At one point in the evening, a man, not much older than you, approached you both with a wide smile.
“Dude, I hadn't seen you in ages. Stop sending your workers and come see me yourself.” They hugged. Why were they hugging?
“Y/n, this is my brother, Sungchan.” The man with puppy-like eyes embraced you tightly, almost as if welcoming you to his family. “Sungchan, this is y/n, my girlfriend.” He said it so naturally, it’d take a detective to figure out the truth about your relationship.
“I’ve heard a lot about you. I'm sorry for your father. But don't worry, we'll take those bastards down.”
“I’m not following...” You blinked repeatedly, eyes going back and forth between Yoonoh and his brother.
“Sungchan is a doctor. I asked him to look at your father's case for further evidence. My assistant was supposed to pick up the report the day we had dinner, but she forgot to drop by. Now we’re a day behind schedule.” The dark cloud surrounding him seemed to be slowly dissipating as you heard his explanation. “This is an important case, and I want to be as meticulous as possible.”
Thank you didn't seem the right thing to say at the moment, at least not with Sungchan standing there, so you simply grabbed his hand, squeezing it to let him know how grateful you were.
To your surprise, he didn't even flinch as he locked your hands together, causing a small giggle from Sungchan.
“Okay, love birds, I'll get going.” He waved you goodbye, making his way to another table where his friend waited for him.
“Can we talk?” You whispered in his ear, afraid one of the numerous attendants would hear you.
“Sure.” Without letting go of your hand, he drove you to a small, private garden just outside the ballroom. “Are you gonna tell me what's wrong now?” His thumb caressed your knuckles with gentle strokes.
“I’m so sorry.”
“What for?”
“I pushed you away at the minimum trouble when you were only helping me.” He hummed as if he already knew about it. “And it will probably happen again, so please, be patient with me. I'm going through-” Your face collided against his chest as his arms draped over your shoulders, squeezing you tightly.
“Call me reckless, but I've wanted to do this for a while.” Your hands hung at the sides of your torso, unsure what to do next. “You can push me away, I'll understand...”
Instead, your palm found its place in his back, rubbing up and down the designer jacket. Your hair started turning messy from the night breeze, some strands striking Yoonoh’s chin as his embrace only grew tighter.
“Let’s get out of here.” He mumbled, crawling the back of your head with his hand. “Sungchan can deal with my father's friends.”
“Are you sure?” His hum vibrated through his chest, making you giggle at the odd feeling.
Once seated in his car, his hand found yours like a magnet, the warmth emanating from it comfortably enveloping your skin.
The calmness of the atmosphere was interrupted by a call from his brother, who seemed to be anxiously explaining something through the phone.
“Just tell him I had a work emergency.” With that said, he hung up, placing his hand back again on top of yours. “Sorry, he said it was urgent.”
“It’s okay.” An unsettling feeling pinched your stomach, but you decided to dismiss it, immersed in the chilly weather of the dark streets.
You arrived at the river, where Yoonoh asked you to wait for him while he bought a couple of beers. It was a sight to see, both of you clad in fancy clothes, barefoot and chugging down can after can.
“I think I like being with you.” You declared, mind fuzzy from the alcohol intake.
“I think I like it too.” The tips of his ears were rosy, revealing he was as intoxicated as you, maybe even more.
“Would you like to visit my father with me tomorrow?” The words flew out of your mouth before you could even realize. Afraid you'd killed the mood, you tried to excuse yourself, only to be interrupted by his lips grazing your ear, placing a timid kiss on your lobe.
“I’d love to.” It was the sweetest peck, no ulterior motives behind it, just pure affection.
“Are we going too fast?” In your drunken state, what you had felt like a real relationship, not a simple agreement. And this sure felt like a first date.
“We’re moving at our own pace, I believe.” He dropped his head on your shoulder, pressing against it to relieve the dizziness clouding his mind. “Are you okay with that? Maybe you don't want to be with an old creep like me, and I'd totally get it. Just don't let me get my hopes up if that's the case.”
“You might be old, but definitely not a creep.” Your fingers combed through his abundant hair as your mind wandered into the future, grateful for the fact that he wouldn't become bald soon. “Or are you?”
“I don't think so.” Anyone who walked by would've seen a couple of goofs, too intoxicated to talk without slurring the words, but you were living in your own, comfy bubble. “I should get you home before it gets too late. Come on, I'll call a driver.” He tried getting on his feet to no avail, stumbling back a little before falling back on his ass.
“My apartment is nearby. You can stay for the night.” You grabbed both pairs of shoes as his arm surrounded your shoulder for assistance. “If you keep supporting your whole weight on me, we're both gonna fall.” People on the street shot you a couple of funny looks, which was understandable since it wasn't usual to see two drunk idiots walking barefoot in the middle of the night.
“How long till-” Hiccup. “-we get there?” His stare seemed to worsen with every step. “God, I think I might throw up.”
“Stop acting like a teenager, we're almost there.”
As soon as you arrived at the small apartment, you sat him down on the little step where you changed your shoes. You left both pairs on the rack, proceeding to put on slippers to enter the house.
“Don’t leave me here!” He whined, stomping his feet like a little kid.
“Just wait for a second!” His attitude was starting to get on your nerves to the point where you couldn't feel the effects of the beer anymore.
You grabbed a rag from the kitchen cabinet and dampened it under the sink. Yoonoh was half asleep when you walked back to him.
“My head hurts.” He mumbled as you sat in front of him, placing his left foot on your lap. “What are you doing?”
“I don't have any slippers that will fit you, and I don't want your dirty feet making my house dirty.” With utmost delicacy, you wiped away the dirt from his toes, noticing the small scratches caused by the gravel he walked on.
He touched your hair while you finished with his other foot, tangling the strands with fascination.
“Done, get up.”
He followed your indications as you guided him to your room, where you laid him down on his side in case he threw up.
“Are we visiting your father tomorrow?” He asked while snuggling under the covers.
“Sure.” You cleared his forehead from the strands falling in it, grazing the soft skin of his forehead. “Sweet dreams, gigantic baby.”

Sparrow
Prince!Satoru Gojo x assassin!reader
Warnings: violence, swearing, suggestive themes, dubious themes, blood
A/N: request numero dos is done! It’s kinda silly, but I think it’s pretty fun! I think it can be read as pretty lighthearted, even if it gets a little violent! it’s a little different that what was originally requested! I had the elements for a sword fight set up, but it wasn’t working out the way I wanted it to, so I took a slightly different route! theres still fighting though! I hope you like it!
It’s been a long journey to get where you are now, silently scaling the castle towers towards the prince’s bed chambers. An extra long journey, considering how many royal guards have been posted on top of kingdom rooftops. Like a shadow in the night, using nothing but the black elements to mask your presence, you’ve managed to slip by them, as well as the gatehouse soldiers, undetected, leaving only four men incapacitated, and not a vestige of your presence. All this sneaking around has been a trying job thus far, but it’s almost over now. You’re about to finish what you came to do.
Light as a feather, quiet as a dormouse, you swing your body up and over the limestone-clad palace window. The room is adorned with priceless artwork watched over by gilded ceiling paintings. Framing the biggest bed you’ve ever seen is a corona with royal blue drapery that hangs down to each corner. In the center of the bed lies the sleeping and wonderfully unaware prince.
His body is lopsided, and only partially covered by silk sheets. One of his feet hangs off the bed. Tousled white hair sticks out in every direction while still managing to frame his admittedly attractive face. Long white eyelashes. Peaceful and full lips. He’s young, you think, although you’ve been aware. But seeing him in the flesh solidifies the thought: you are about to be the end of his short life.
However, this mission comes with little remorse. There have been rumors that the Royal Gojo Family has been dabbling in alchemy for over a century now. To you, there is nothing more disgusting than the use of the unnatural sciences. It’s ungodly. And even then, this kill shouldn’t matter much since you can call it what it is: a job. This is what you do. Do as your master commands, kill without question, leave no trace, get paid, repeat. It helps that there have been rumors specifically centered around your charge; rumors that Prince Satoru is a complete and utter womanizer.
Well, not for long.
The bed doesn’t shake the least bit as you climb on top of him. The prince sleeps soundlessly and doesn’t stir when you situate your thighs over his firm hips. Normally, you’d simply slit your target’s throat, quick and easy, but since there are those rumors about the use of alchemy, you need to work a little differently tonight. To kill an alchemist user, one will have to pierce them directly in the heart with a silver blade. You don’t particularly believe that the prince is a user; his focus has primarily been on balls and parties and other social events, but you’d rather be safe than sorry. So, your primed weapon of choice, a silverlined dagger, slides up your sleeve and into the palm of your hand. You grasp its hilt, then line it parallel to his heart, pull up, and plunge it in.
Rather, you would be plunging it in, if it hadn’t been for the swift-acting hand wrapped tightly around your wrist.
“Drop it.” The low, sleep-crackled utterance sends shivers up your spine. Acting fast, you use your free hand to push on the hilt, your strength against his, but it doesn’t budge a centimeter, and instead, both of your wrists are captured by the prince. His grip tightens, squeezing you so harshly that you feel the tips of your fingers tingle, but you don’t relinquish your weapon.
Vibrant blue eyes blink up at you, narrowing into a scowl. You try pushing harder, ignoring the fact that his eyes seem to glow in the darkness, ignoring the fact that they are the prettiest eyes that have ever gazed at you, ignoring the fact that those pretty eyes are now trailing down your body. Your skin burns at the attention. You can’t let yourself believe that he’s checking you out in a life or death situation, but then you figure it’s in your head when he says, “if you wish to keep your wrists intact, you will drop. Your. Dagger.”
Surrendering is not an option. It’s either kill or be killed, because even when you choose to not kill, your termination will be absolute. You will be tried by the king with his son at his right side, then you will be hanged for your crimes. So with shaking hands, you attempt to exert more pressure, trying to keep your breath steady to not raise a commotion.
Surprisingly, the prince chuckles. “Has a little sparrow flown through my window to try to kill me?”
In one fell swoop, Satoru manages to flip you onto your back, his hands bringing your wrists down on the side of the bed, forcing you to drop the dagger to the floor. He eyes you speculatively for a moment, then his mouth turns up into a half-grin.
“A woman, no less.” He muses incredulously. Then his eyes dart back down your body, and by the way his grin widens, you’re sure he actually is checking you out. “Are you supposed to be some kind of peace offering?”
What an odd man. Although you've just made an attempt on his life, he’s smiling down at you like you’re some kind of acquaintance—no, friend.
“I mean…sending a beautiful woman to my bedchambers says a lot, wouldn’t you agree?” Prince Satoru asks after taking in your dumbfounded expression. “Not much for words?” He asks. “That’s okay, little sparrow. We don’t need to talk.”
You gasp when he begins to lean down, eyes trained on your lips. Without a second’s hesitation, your feet meet his bare chest, and with all of your might, you kick off, throwing him back a couple meters. You flip back onto the floor and attack him with throwing knives while you search for your dagger. If he is in fact an alchemist, your other weapons won’t do much damage, but could slow him down if you could manage to hit him.
“You’re strong,” Satoru gleefully appraises, dodging another one of your throwing knives, and catching the other. He throws it back at you, but you manage to duck behind the corona curtain at just the right time. “And fast.”
The dagger is under the bed. You grab it, gulp some air, then use the curtain as a distraction before charging at the prince, using the same swiping technique your master has taught you. Your blade cuts through the air with one swipe, and another. You’re barely missing him, and it’s frustrating because that goofy grin stays plastered to his dumb, pretty face!
In a moment’s notice, he grabs your outstretched arm, pushing down on a pressure point that has your limb lock up. “But you’re messy and unrefined,” he says as a hand slides up your arm. Now behind you, he places his free hand on your waist, moving you into a stance similar to what your master has shown you. “Don’t you fret, little sparrow. It’s nothing a little polishing won’t fix.”
His breath is hot and fanning your ear. Your stomach knots when he squeezes your waist, and to your utter horror, his lips graze down to your neck, tongue sliding over your skin. “Mmm…sweet.”
“What! Are you—?!” Bouncing away from him, you cover your slick neck with one hand while the other continues to point the dagger outwards. What’s even worse is that he doesn’t look the least bit jaded!
He laughs. “Even your voice is cute!” In the dim light of the room, you can see pink beginning to bloom across his cheeks. “Won’t you speak more? Say my name, pretty please.”
“Prick,” you hiss, once again charging forward.
“Do you kiss your master with that mouth?” Satoru begins using his arms to block and redirect your attacks, until he’s twirling you around as if you’re dancing and not trying to kill him! You fume, hating the fact that the prince knows you have a master to begin with. “I should hope not. The only person I’d have you kiss is me!”
He dips you down low, your dagger somehow tucked between the junction of your arm, and very smoothly places his lips against yours. You’ve been kissed before, but never in such a way that made you feel like floating. Like gravity ceased to exist. Like you were falling into a black hole that you didn’t want to claw out of. Prince Satoru Gojo’s kiss is different. It’s light and it’s heavy. It’s heaven and it’s earth. It’s a blessing and a curse.
He hums into you, making the knot in your belly tighten. For a moment, you don’t struggle. Instead, your lips part, and you allow the prince to cup your face to pull you in deeper, tasting you, relishing you. You wind your fingers through the soft strands of his starry hair, and lose yourself in the moment. When he breaks the kiss, pulling away with an expression you can only call beguiled, his thumb moves along the bottom of your lip. Your mind is the fog that clouds the streets at night. It doesn’t mean anything to you when you kiss the tip of his thumb, but when that grin you hate so much comes back, your body erupts in blusterous rage.
Realizing what you just allowed to happen, you snap at his hand. He pulls it away just in time for you to reach for your weapon and slice it across his chest. You push him back, only allowing yourself a second to collect yourself before aiming the dagger at his heart. He catches your wrist before it makes contact.
“So passionate,” he says with a smile, but through gritted teeth. “I must admit, this has been the most fun I’ve had in my bedchambers in a very long time. You might even be spoiling all the fun that the future entails as well. And I don’t even know your name yet. How sad.”
Satoru throws you against the wall, pinning your dagger-wielding arm against one of his extravagant paintings. He nods towards your weapon. “Throw that away.”
“You scared, alchemist?” You bite back.
“I’m only afraid you might hurt yourself, little sparrow. Sharp objects are dangerous, you know. Wouldn't want to clip your wings.” He winks. “And you should be referring to me as your royal highness. I am a prince, afterall.”
“With the dark craft that you and the royal family use, you’re no higher than me.”
Satoru chuckles. “Won’t you please tell me your name? Or at least join me in bed before you insist that I need to be killed.”
“This is not on my insistence.” It’s a slip, but it’s a big one. You’d cover your mouth if your hands were free.
“So, who sent you?” The prince prompts. “It can’t be a scorned lover. Hmmm. The Fushiguro clan? Pshh. No. They’d do it in person.” He flashes his teeth, omniscience glowing in his beautiful blue eyes. “Master Suguru Getou?”
You suck in a breath and he reads it all too well.
“I already know,” he purrs, lips brushing against yours. “Your fighting style is very similar to his. I’m just surprised he sent somebody with so little experience. It certainly proves how much of a coward he is.”
Your blood boils. How dare he insult your master to your face! Satoru Gojo, the sleazy prince and a lowly alchemist. He is scum compared to Master Getou.
You ram your head into the prince’s. Pain shoots down your spine, but you ignore it and thrust your dagger forward. Satoru grabs your arm and pushes it down, and soon, you scream after hearing a tearing sound, and feel a very sharp stinging at your side. Sticky warm fluid seep through your fingers at your side. It’s not a deep cut, but it’s just enough to make you bleed.
“Oh no,” Prince Satoru says in earnest. “Oh, this was my mistake. Dear sparrow, that was a reflex of mine. I didn’t mean to—“
There’s a knock on the prince’s chamber doors, followed by someone’s low voice asking, “your highness, are you well? I heard screaming.”
Shit. This is it. You’re dead. Sure, the prince wants to play with you, but anyone else will have your head in a heartbeat if they see what you’re doing. You should say your prayers now and kiss the world goodbye. You’re sending a silent apology to Master Getou when Satoru lifts you up and carries you to his bed.
“Sir Nanami?” The prince calls while he throws the sheets over both you and him. He climbs on top, pressing his chest into yours. The side that’s injured seers with pain, so you let out a little whimper the moment you hear footsteps enter the room.
“Don’t tell me you have a woman in here,” the man groans. “You know the king has forbidden any partner of yours from walking through these palace doors until further notice.”
“She flew in through my window, actually,” Satoru slyly admits. “But she’s no ordinary woman. She’s very special to me.”
Both you and the knight scoff at the same time, though you hope he doesn’t hear you. If he can believe this charade, perhaps you can get on with your night. And once you kill the prince, there will be a knight who will think that his murder is nothing but a lover’s quarrel gone wrong.
“I see.”
You’re staring at Satoru’s chest, and you realize that his wound from earlier is nearly healed. If you had any doubts about the Gojo family using alchemy, they’re out the window now. You run a fine finger across the red line that contrasts against his ivory chest, feeling the smooth bump where you’d cut him. Will it scar? you think. Disappear completely?
The prince squirms and grabs your hand. “That tickles!” He exclaims, bringing your hand up to his mouth to pepper kisses all over it. Even though the attention burns the back of your neck, you let him, since it’ll only convince the knight that the two of you are in fact being intimate.
Finally, Satoru says, “did you need something, Sir Nanami, or are you ready to confess your voyeuristic sins?”
Sir Nanami sighs, but you hear him back up a few paces. “Then, nobody’s hurt, your highness?”
“No,” Satoru says dubiously, “however, if you could fetch the healing medicines, that would be appreciated. She’s a little feisty!”
You slap his chest and he yips playfully back at you. It would be good fun if the two of you weren’t enemies.
Once the knight leaves, you’re quick to slink out of the bed, albeit wobbly. Dots of blood line his sheets, the sight making you feel a bit dizzy, but it doesn’t stop you from picking up your weapon.
“You don’t tire, do you?” Satoru asks impishly. “As admirable as that is, I simply cannot allow you to try to kill me anymore! You’ll get more hurt!”
“You’re nothing but a dirty alchemist.” You weakly thrust the dagger forward, nearing the window.
“Well, and a dashing prince, but that’s besides the point.” Satoru steps forward and you step back, your legs hitting the window’s wall. “Your master is no better.”
You bare your teeth at him. “Don’t you dare say a word to me about my master!”
“Please, little sparrow, you’re injured. Step away from the window and let’s bandage you up.” He reaches a hand out, and you swipe through the air, splicing his palm. More blood falls to the floor. Unafflicted, Satoru says, “you can’t hurt me.”
“Then let me leave, so that when I return, I can hurt you!”
There’s a purse on his lips. A pensive pause. Then the prince raises both of his hands, one of which is already healed, in defeat.
“There’s a medicine man who lives south-east from the gatehouse,” he says. “His name is Kiyotaka Ijichi. He’ll be asleep by now, but he’s a bit of a pushover and a sucker for a lady in distress. If you wail a bit outside his house, he’ll come out to offer you aid.”
“I don’t need anybody’s help,” you spit as you begin climbing out the window. You half-expect him to push you then. It’s a wonderful opportunity, one that you would seize if you were in his position. But the prince just watches you begin your descent.
“Do try to not bleed on any of the garden flowers,” he calls.
You wordlessly growl back at him.
“Oh, and little sparrow! Should you return here tomorrow evening, or perhaps the next night, or even a week or a month from now, shall I prepare red or white wine for you?” Prince Satoru offers you a charming smile. “And would you like there to be a violinist present? Anything to set the mood?”
Once you’re on your feet, you glare up at the beaming prince. He’s far too confident, but you make a mental promise to ruin that confidence someday, somehow. You don’t answer him, like you’re sure he doesn’t expect, but you allow him to watch you disappear into the black from whence you came.

frat!tom inviting you to one of their ragers and all of his brothers trying to be a wingman for him bc they all know he’s had his eye on you the whole semester 😂 bc your friends would be like since when did you become friends with all these frat bros and you’re like idk what’s going on rn you’d be so confused lmao.
god this is such a cute idea...my heart. cw: alcohol + fluff.
finishing up some frat!tom blurbs !!
*:·゚✧*:·゚✧ *:·゚✧*:·゚✧ *:·゚✧*:·゚✧
The first time it happens, you find it funny. The second, you feel a little uncertain but laugh it off. But the third time you’re approached by one of the fratboys hosting the party and offered a round of the house’s finest drinks, you can’t deny your complete bemusement.
“Since when did you become friends with so many frat bros?” Your friend, Val, whispers, clinging to your arm as one of the men, a shorter lad called Harry, dishes out shots to you and all of your friends. You accept one with a smile before dropping your voice.
“I didn’t,” you mutter. “I don’t understand what’s going on right now.”
You’ve barely done your shot when there’s a presence beside you.
“Y/N! Pleased you could make it.” You turn to see Harrison there, the vice-president of the frat. He’s in a SnapBack and a black T-shirt, smirking widely. “Do you and your friends want to come and play beer pong with us?”
You exchange a glance with Val, who giggles.
“Why not,” you agree.
You’re swept over to the large patio with a few of your friends, and you barely have time to process what’s happening before Harrison is claiming you as his partner and pulling you around to his side of the table. Val stands at the other end, and you watch, confused, as she asks one of the fratboys to partner with her, only for him to agree, look across the table and see you, then immediately shake his head and announce,
“Wait— no, I can’t. Stay here. One second.”
He runs away and Val raises a brow, but before you can speak to her, Harrison is poking at your arm.
“So,” he says, smirking softly. “How are you finding the party, Y/N? Anyone catch your eye?”
You furrow your brows, crossing your arms over your chest as you eye him carefully. You’ve not spent much time with Harrison before. Yes, you’ve been to a few parties together and played some games of truth or dare, but you’ve not developed such a deep connection that would warrant such attention. You find it suspicious.
“It’s a good party,” you agree, “though, I don’t think you guys have ever hosted a bad one.”
Harrison nods, pride reflecting in his eyes. “Well, thanks.” He digs his hands into his pockets. “It’s all Tom. He does all the planning and organising. He’s a great guy.” Harrison nudges you gently. “A really great guy.”
You start to wonder if the reason for your sudden catapult to centre of attention is more straightforward than you’d first thought.
“—Ahh, there he is, actually. What good timing.”
You look across the table, your breath hitching as your eyes fall upon the figure of Tom Holland, president of the frat, and your study partner from english lit. He looks good, wrapped up in a blue flannel and a black t-shirt, with a dark cap resting on his curls. His eyes seek yours out immediately and you raise a hand in greeting, feeling your lips twitch into a soft smile as he walks towards you.
“Y/N, darling!” Tom exclaims, greeting you with a hand on your hip and his lips on your cheek. “You look stunning tonight.” His fingers linger on your waist for a moment before he steps away, and his proximity grants you a deep whiff of his cologne.
“Thank you,” you reply, smiling shyly. “You look good too.”
“Thanks, love.” The tips of his teeth flint white as Tom beams at you. “I wasn’t sure if you’d come tonight. I’m glad you did.”
You tilt your head to the side. “Of course I would,” you say. You’d been overjoyed when he’d extended the invite to you, personally, and invited you and your friends to the biggest rager on campus. “I wanted to see you.”
It’s unclear if he’s blushing, or simply too warm, but you watch as Tom scratches the back of his neck and smiles almost shyly.
“I’m glad.” He clears his throat and his eyes flutter across the table, to where Harrison’s drifted around to stand beside Val. He nudges your arm, his elbow gentle. “Are you ready to win this?”
“Oh hell yeah. I was born ready.”
“That’s my girl.”
You feel your lips pull up, and try not to let him see the thrill that curls down your spine as you hear him speaking so affectionately to you.
The game goes by slowly, and you find yourself wondering how Harrison, usually so irritatingly good at beer pong, misses even the easiest of shots. If you didn’t know any better, you might be tempted to think he was trying to throw the game, yet Tom keeps you too busy to extensively ponder this thought. When you’re not on the receiving end of his smooth praises, you’re both listening to some of the fratbros who linger near, passing off compliment after compliment in Tom’s direction. They hype up almost every part of his person, pointing out, eagerly, and despite Tom’s obvious embarrassment, how good his grades have been, how he’s been learning to cook, how he’s a beast in the gym… Any positive to Tom that could be praised, is, and it leaves you smiling.
Much to your amusement, you end up winning the game. Once you’re suitably buzzed, you wave bye to Val and follow Tom back inside, his hand clinging to yours. You watch, amused, as the crowd seems to part for you, multiple pairs of eyes following you and the way your fingers are linked with Tom’s. Whispers follow you, and you find yourself clinging closer to him, curling your arm around his as you shy into his side.
Tom takes you upstairs. He’d pulled you from the patio whispering about a book he’d borrowed from you a month ago and needed to return, but you know that his intentions go beyond the return of a simple favour.
“This is a nice room,” you say. It’s large, and on the top floor of the frat. It’s also the room that comes without a suite mate, courtesy of Tom’s status as president. There’s a large window set into the wall, a nice double bed, and even an en-suite.
You feel his hand briefly touch you back as Tom moves past you and walks over to his desk. You watch him rummage through a pile of papers and pens, his watch glinting.
“Thank you,” he responds, looking back over his shoulder at you. His thin lips quirk into a smile as he inclines his head towards his bed. “You can sit down if you want.”
You hum as you walk towards the bed, perching on the edge of the mattress with your legs crossed. After a few moments more, Tom releases a noise of triumph and holds up the borrowed book.
“Here you go,” he says, walking over to you. He passes you the book, and you promptly put it down beside you. “Thank you for letting me borrow it.”
“Of course,” you respond. You meet his eyes, getting momentarily lost in his caramel depths. “Hey, could I ask you a question?”
Tom nods, crossing his hands behind his back as he looks at you curiously. “Anything.”
You bite your lip before extending your hand towards him. When he takes it and easily loops your fingers together, you smile.
“Did you have all your frat brothers wingman you tonight?”
Tom hesitates, a hint of embarrassment curling over his face.
“You, uh, noticed that?” He asks, scratching at his neck.
You nod, smirking. “If the never ending supply of shots and compliments weren’t indication enough, Harrison also threw the game so we would win.”
Tom curses softly. “He’s such a twat,” he mutters. “But uh… Yeah, I guess. I just wanted you to have a good time tonight, Y/N. Some of them just took it a bit too far. I’m sorry if they made you feel uncomfortable.”
“They didn’t. I thought it was cute.” You hesitate, your eyes shifting over his face. “I think you’re cute.”
Tom shifts on his feet, seeming to stretch a little straighter as he smirks.
“And I think you’re absolutely gorgeous.” Using the hand intertwined with yours, Tom very gently helps you to your feet. His fingers slip down to your waist, where they rest, touch firm and warm. You like the feeling of being so close to him.
“So… What are you going to do about that?”
You bite your lip as his breath hitches, and then you let him pull you closer. His voice is lower, huskier, and it comes out lightly as his warm breath fans out across your face.
“I’m gonna kiss you,” he declares.
You give him the slightest nod before looping your arms around his neck, and then very slowly, and easily, Tom presses his lips to yours. It’s soft at first—carrying more care than you would’ve expected—but your eyes flutter shut as you enjoy the moment. It builds quickly, spiralling from a tender union of mouths to an intensely hot kiss, burning bright with passion as you feel him nibbling your lower lip. You part your lips, and your fingers dig into his curls as your tongues dance together, the kiss growing hotter and heavier as you curl in closer.
When you break away after a few moments of passionate kissing, you’re breathless but happy. You rest your palms on the flat of his shoulders and sigh contentedly, lips stinging softly.
“Next time you want to get closer to me, you can just ask me, y’know,” you tease. “I quite like spending time with you, Tom.”
His lips brush your cheek, and you feel him squeeze your waist.
“Noted, love.” He pauses for a moment, smirk biting at his lips. “Care to spend some time with me now, darling?”
You wrap your fingers around the top of his shirt and pull him closer, letting your lips brush over his as you smile.
“I think I’d like that very much.”

Terrigenisis Series Masterlist
The following afternoon, the entire team is back at the compound and doing a team training session. You, Steve, and Bucky use the opportunity to announce your engagement. Your teammates are excited and hugs and well wishes surround you.
“Can I be the flower girl?” Wanda jokes as she hugs you.
“Dizzy’s already claimed that honor,” you laugh.
“Alright, alright! Let’s get to work. We need to be in perfect sync for the mission.” Steve redirects everyone’s attention.
“You got it, Cap!” you salute him as you get into position. Two hours later, you break from the drills and begin to disburse when you pull up your phone. “What the hell?” you say as you see your social media had blown up with comments and messages. You pull up your feed and begin reading. You can feel the color drain from your face.
“Doll, are you okay?” Bucky is the first to notice you frozen in shock.
“I… the… I don’t understand.” You feel like throwing up reading the words whore, slut, and many other disgusting slurs left on your account. Bucky pulls your phone from your hand and looks at it.
“What the fuck?” He yells.
Steve speeds over and looks at the phone that Bucky holds out to him.
“I don’t understand,” you say again, trembling. Bucky puts his arms around you.
“Uhhh, guys,” Tony says as he pulls up a video.
The spokesman for one of the biggest celebrity tabloids flashes a picture of Steve and Bucky on the screen and says, “Speculation has always run wild on the love life of Captain America, Steve Rogers, and The Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, but they’ve always kept it hush-hush. Now, a source close to the Avengers has come forward to give us the down and dirty details. Allegedly, our shield throwing hero doesn’t have just a girlfriend, but a boyfriend as well. Way to play both sides, Captain. We’ve been told that Captain America is dating none other than his two teammates, The Winter Soldier and Artemis, the newest member of the Avengers.”
“Artemis! The fuck?” you exclaim as a picture of the three of you is displayed on the screen.
“Seen here at one of Tony Stark’s exclusive parties, the three have allegedly been dating for several months. But, according to our source, two men aren’t enough for the voracious Artemis, she’s also in a relationship with none other than the villainous Loki of Asgard,” the spokesman continues. Another picture from the party flashes up of you and Loki laughing together. Your stomach is rolling as this apparently isn’t the end of the slanderous story, “Artemis, an Inhuman with the skills of a linguist and animal trainer, joined the team a year ago and has apparently had her hooks in every man she’s come across since then. Our source claims she had affairs with Tony Stark, Clint Barton, and Sam Wilson before settling on the three she dates now. There is also some speculation surrounding the death of her first husband. Is she the real black widow of the Avengers?”
The video ends and you clutch your stomach, “I’m gonna be sick.” Running to the bathroom, you barely make it to the toilet before you lose your lunch. Bucky and Steve are right behind you.
“Doll, it’s okay. It’s gonna be okay.” Bucky soothes as he rubs your back.
You sit back against the wall and begin to sob. Steve pulls you into his lap and Bucky’s arms surround you both.
“It’s gonna be okay, sweetheart. We’ll fix this.” Steve says as he rubs your back.
“We’ll get through it, doll. Whatever we have to do. We won’t let this stand.” Bucky reassures you.
When the sobs begin to subside, you look at the two of them and nod. They help you stand and you wash out your mouth. When you return, the team is still standing around together.
“Okay, kids. Artie is on his way and formulating a plan as we speak to work this out. We’ll demand a retraction of the slander. The PR team is going through your social media and deleting and blocking any negative comments. There are several groups who are rallying behind you all and your relationship. We’ve got your back, kid.” Tony puts a hand on your shoulder and you nod weakly.
Wanda hugs you and you nearly break down again. Natasha looks as if she’s plotting murder with Clint. You notice Sam is missing.
“Let’s go to our room and rest until Artie gets here. It’ll probably be a long meeting.” Bucky suggests.
“Yeah, okay,” you follow his lead out. Shortly after the three of you get to your room there’s a knock on the door. Steve opens it and lets Sam into the room.
“I, uh… I’m so sorry.” Sam stutters uncharacteristically and can’t quite meet your eyes.
“Kaziah,” you state.
“Yeah. I’m pretty sure. I’m so sorry. I swear I never said anything like that to her. I would never disrespect you like that.” Sam explains.
“It’s not your fault, Sam,” you reassure him.
“But I did tell her about you guys. And how you lost Charlie and became an Inhuman. I’m so sorry.”
“You trusted her. I’m so sorry she betrayed you like that,” you hug Sam’s neck. “I know you must be so hurt that she did that. Maybe she was jealous about our torrid love affair.”
Sam breaks a smile, “I do have a way with the ladies.”
“Your spirit is unbreakable. Already cracking jokes,” Steve puts his arms around you.
“I think it’s laugh or cry at this point. I’d rather laugh. I’m sure there will be more tears later,” you say. “I need a shower.”
“That’s my cue to leave.” Sam quips.
“Sam,” you call.
“Can you tell Tony, please? He can probably find out for sure.”
“Yeah. Of course.” Sam exits.
“Alright, doll. Let’s get that shower.” Bucky pulls you into the bathroom. You stand under the spray minutes later with Bucky and Steve on each side of you. You wash each other gently, sharing soft touches and loving caresses. No matter what anyone ever says about your relationship and your love, you will never give up these two men. The loves of your life.
Your stomach twists for a moment. Loving Steve and Bucky does not negate your love of Charlie. The accusation of killing him was what hurt more than anything else. If it hadn’t been for Terrigenisis you would still most likely be happily married to Charlie. It reaffirms to you that perhaps there really is a reason that everything happens. Which means there is a reason for this happening. You just couldn’t figure out what it was quite yet.
“Team meeting in the conference room, immediately.” Friday chimes into your thoughts.
Ten minutes later, the team is sitting around the conference table facing Artemus "Artie" Pithins, Director of Public Relations, and Tony.
“We apparently have another Artemis now.” Artie chuckles as he greets you.
“Wasn’t my decision but if it means I am as formidable as you I’m honored,” you smile as you shake Artie’s hand.
“Charming under pressure. I love it. We’ll get through this.” Artie reassures you. When everyone is seated Artie addresses the team, “I’d like to begin by telling you all, we have confirmed the source of the leak and that person is being dealt with accordingly. Next, I give this story no credence, but I do need to go through it piece by piece to confirm what is truth and what is lies.”
“We understand.” Steve affirms.
“Are you in a polyamorous relationship as described?” Artie addresses Steve.
“Yes,” Steve replies.
“I see. Sgt. Barnes and our newly dubbed Artemis are your boyfriend and girlfriend?” Artie asks.
“No, they’re my fiancees.” Steve counters.
“Oh, Congratulations.” Artie’s wheels are turning as he continues down his list of questions. He turns to you next, “Are you in any type of relationship with Prince Loki Odinson?”
“He’s a close friend and my training partner,” you say calmly.
“But no romantic relationship now or previously?” Artie confirms.
“No,” you reply.
“Mr. Stark, are you now or have you ever been in a sexual relationship-”
“No, never.” Tony interrupts rolling his eyes.
“Mr. Bar-”
“No,” Clint says curtly.
“Also, no.” Sam pipes in before the question can be asked.
“And the last claim I won’t even dignify. That will be retracted with an apology if I have anything to say about it. I know this is not the most couth question but I need to ask. Have any of the three of you had a sexual relationship with another teammate?” Artie states.
“No,” the three of you say practically in unison.
“Well, then I think we have the perfect solution already in the works. We’ll need the two of you to do a couple of interviews to dispel the rumors and we’ll use that time to also announce the wedding of Captain America and Artemis.” Artie smiles at you.
“You mean the three of us, Captain America, The Winter Soldier, and Artemis,” you say.
“The polyamorous relationship is not going to play well, but if we can shift the story from that relationship to the romance that grew out of you joining the team and throw a spectacular wedding, we’ll have nothing to worry about it,” Artie explains.
“No,” you say, looking between Steve and Bucky.
“Let’s reconvene in two hours. Take the time to discuss it. You have a lot to consider.” Artie closes the meeting.
Back in your room, you sit on the couch with your head in your hands.
“Doll?” Steve sits beside you and puts a hand on your back.
You look up at him, “Do you want to go through with this charade? Leave Bucky out of the ceremony? Everything this entails?”
“I’m pretty sure I’d be best man in Stevie’s wedding no matter what,” Bucky tries to lighten the mood.
“You should be a groom in it, baby,” you counter.
“I know, I know, doll,” Bucky sits on the other side of you, “But it’d just be a show for the public. We can have a ceremony with just our friends after. Or before. However you want.”
“Is that what you think, Stevie?” you ask.
“Here’s what I’m thinking…”

A Not So Happy Anniversary
Title: A Not So Happy Anniversary
Pairing: Reader/Harry
Word Count: 3,151
Warning: SMUT SMUT SMUT
Summary: You and Harry have a long distance relationship. When Harry messes up and misses your three year anniversary, you confront him face to face.
Author’s Note: Ladies and gents, it feels good to be back. My inbox is open to requests. Let me know what you think!
You were furious with him.
Completely and utterly furious with him.
He had done this to you a million times, you always had forgiven him and moved on. But this? This was definitely something you couldn’t let go.
Both you and Harry had been dating for three years now, not a moment did you regret the decision to date the famous "wroetoshaw" on YouTube. You would be the first one to admit that his fanbase and everything that came with being labeled as his girlfriend terrified you but Harry made it worth it. Thankfully, the both of you had managed to keep your relationship away from the public. Fans not in your personal lives eliminated any unnecessary stress you both didn’t need. You were happy, he was happy. You guys barely fought. But that was about to change tonight.
Harry lived in two places: Guernsey and London. He traveled back between the two constantly which always made you a little bit upset. You understood why he'd want to live in London, of course you did. When you had gone out there with him, even you struggled to leave London once your time was up. A mix of the city life and the fact most of Harry’s friends lived there - it was a no brainer.
But being stranded in Guernsey while Harry was away in London had been the first major roadblock in your relationship. There would be long amounts of time that Harry would be in London, leaving you by yourself at home and missing your boyfriend. He'd always come back eventually and apologize in a shower of kisses. You couldn't help yourself but forgive him but this was too far now.
You stormed off back inside your small little flat, flipping off any guys that whistled at you in your short, black mini-dress while doing so. You had decided to get dressed up since tonight was a pretty big deal - the three year milestone with Harry. Your anniversary was today, something that you had reminded Harry about for two weeks. He promised over and over again that he would be home on time for your anniversary and that he'd meet you at your favorite restaurant for a romantic meal. Long story short, you had been sitting at the table for two hours with no sign of Harry. He'd let you down.
You burst through the front door of your flat, throwing your heels off to the floor and locking the door with both locks. At least that way, Harry couldn't get in if he got there in the morning. You sniffled, feeling yourself now start to get upset more than angry. How could he do this? He promised. You’d always forgiven him for being late to come home before but this just felt like a slap in the face.
A second later, you were at the fridge - taking out a bottle of wine and taking a swig from it. You knew it was stupid to try and numb the pain with alcohol, it would only leave you feeling like shit in the morning. You shook your head and put the bottle away, deciding to just go to bed and forget about Harry until the morning.
It was about half an hour later when you had finally gone to bed, wearing one of Harry’s t-shirts and sweats. You were scrolling through Twitter to see if Harry had written anything yet no tweets came up for today. You were a little concerned at that but once you remembered just why you were angry with them, any feelings of being concerned were out the window. You turned off your phone and placed it on your side table - not being able to avoid the framed photo of you and Harry sitting there. At the sight of it, you quickly turned off your lamp and went to sleep.
-
"Y/N, Y/N. Baby, wake up." You felt yourself being shaken out of your dream, your name being repeated over and over again. Eventually, your dream of a happy anniversary slipped away and your eyes fluttered open.
You saw a dark figure over you in the bed, causing you to scream out. The figure put his hand over your mouth, trying to reach over to turn on the light as you struggled against his hand. "Babe! Stop! It's me! Harry!" He exclaimed in a loud whisper, turning on the dim lamp light to reveal himself.
You calmed down as soon as you realized it was him, shoving him off you and sitting up in the bed. "For fuck sake Harry, you can't just hover over me in pitch darkness at-" You looked over at the time. "2:30 in the fucking morning!"
"How the hell did you get in here anyway? I locked the front door with both locks." You grumbled, crossing as arms as Harry raised an eyebrow
"Yeah, I noticed that. I had to climb up a floor outside and get in through your window." He motioned the open window before shooting you an amused look. "I told you that you needed to lock your windows."
"And you need to take the hint when I don’t want you in the flat." You grumbled, before grabbing one of your pillows and throwing it at him. "Harold, leave. I don't want to fucking talk to you or even look at you right now."
"C’mon babe, don’t be like that. I know you missed me." He joked, only making the situation worse in pure Harry style. How the hell could he be making jokes and not even acknowledge how badly he had messed up? You just glared at him, shoving him off the edge of your bed and laying back down. "Go to the couch - we’ll talk in the morning when you’re actually ready to have a serious conversation.”
"Baby, come on. I'm joking." He cooed as you just ignored him and tried to go back to sleep. Harry bit his lip and sat back on the bed again next to you, watching your body turn away from him. He took the peaceful moment to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear before running a finger down your arm softly.
"Harry, I’ll seriously do something I’ll regret if you don’t get out and give me some space." You seethed, though Harry didn't budge.
"Your threats don't make you scary, babe. You're like a hamster." He teased before he decided to get serious - he knew you'd really kick him out of the flat if he kept pulling jokes as such. "Look I'm sorry, okay?"
"Sorry for what, Harry? Missing our anniversary, maybe? Maybe promising you'd be home yet you didn't come back on time. Really? I always let it go but you crossed a fucking line this time." You shot back at him.
"My flight got delayed, okay?" Harry admitted in defeat. "The plane was having engine failure so we couldn't take off in time. I had to sit on that plane for ages, I only just landed an hour ago." He said, leaning down to kiss your shoulder. "I'm really sorry that I missed our dinner. I'll make it up to you, okay? Please don't be angry with me. It’s not my fault that Gatwick is proper shit."
"No Harry, I will be angry at you." You said annoyed, still refusing to turn your body towards him. "Okay fair enough, your flight got pushed back far. But you could've come back to Guernsey days ago so you wouldn't miss our anniversary or maybe actually spend some time with me - but no. You're too busy partying it up in London with all your friends and all the girls that probably want to sleep with you the first chance they get. I know there’s gonna be one day where you just don’t come back to Guernsey for me and that’ll be the end of us."
"Babe, where is all this coming from? You know when we started dating that I said I’d be travelling back and forth." Harry frowned, knowing your anger was coming from something more than him missing dinner tonight. He hated to see you aggravated over this topic. Especially when all his friends knew just how much he loved you and how loyal he was. He knew that you weren’t exactly the biggest fan of the amount of female attention he received online. He understood that. But it did bother him seeing you truly believe that he’d never come back home to you one day. “What makes you think I’d ever do anything like that to you?”
"I’m just scared, Harry." You whispered back at him. "I'm very scared of what could happen while you're in London while I'm stuck here." You closed your eyes and tried to block everything out. Until you felt him turn you on your back. You opened your eyes slowly to look up at Harry hovering over you. You felt your heart skip a beat looking up at him in the dim light. Even when you were upset and mad with him, he still had the power to take your breath away.
"You're mad, you know that? Absolutely crazy." Harry stated, leaning down to place a kiss on your forehead. "You think I'd get bored of you? Seriously? Take a look in the fucking mirror, Y/N." He teased you before he returned to neutral. “Whatever I’ve done to make you believe any of what you just said? I’m so sorry, babe. The last three years I’ve had with you have been the best of my life. I would never violate you like that.”
“You know I also work in London too - doing all the Sidemen shoots and videos. I’m building that brand more and more to make sure that I can always come home whenever I want. I’m doing it so that we can live comfortably, that I can take you on holidays and help you pay for this place while I’m away. Never once have I been in London and not missed you, Y/N. I know I’m definitely far from perfect but I won’t let you think that I don’t love you. Cause I do, so fucking much.”
He leaned down and placed kisses down the side of your face - pressing a quick peck on your lips before moving down to your neck.
"I fucking hate you sometimes." You insulted, gasping when you felt him leave love bites on the certain spot on your neck that drove you crazy. You snaked a hand into his hair when he did so, feeling yourself wanting him more rather than wanting to punch him back to London.
"I sincerely doubt that you hate me right now." He said in a cocky tone, pulling his head back to admire the hickies he had left on your neck and smirking down at you.
"Shut the fuck up." You growled, grabbing his fistful of his jumper and pulling his face back down to yours. You slammed your lips back against his, the whole action coming from both anger at him missing your anniversary dinner and lust at the same time. You knew there was love in your actions as well but you were more focused on other things at hand.
Harry did a pretty good job at keeping up with the pace of your lips against his, deepening it and taking the moment to nip at your bottom lip. You moaned softly at that before your hands were underneath his clothes, practically ripping them off him and throwing them off to the side. He did the same with you, the both of you continuing to keep your lips together almost like it was a form of life source.
It wasn't long before the couple were now fully naked, Harry's body pressing against yours as you made out. Something about his skin pressed against yours always gave you a funny feeling in your stomach - such a warm and safe feeling. You knew that you loved this boy after three years of dating, you only hoped you'd be able to communicate that through this.
Harry pulled back after a while, leaning over to the bedside table to retrieve a condom while you placed kisses along his neck. You made sure to leave your own marks on his skin. He grabbed one quickly enough and groaned at your hickies, pulling himself off to you long enough to roll the condom onto himself. You felt your eyes gleam at the sight of your fit boyfriend in his most vulnerable state. You completely understood why she got so jealous of him being away from you - he was such a gorgeous boy.
Your boyfriend was back on you a second later, continuing to make-out with you again as he settled himself between your legs. You wrapped your legs around his waist to keep him close, eventually both of you pulling away for air. There were no words uttered between the two, speaking with your eyes and facial expressions. The rough lust and anger had faded away now to a soft kindness and love that you felt whenever you were near Harry. You smiled at him as he returned the favor before pushing into you without another second wasted.
"Oh!" You moaned, leaning your head back against the pillows as he did so. It had been awhile for you both, having been ages since he was last home. You had definitely missed this. "Harry," You breathed out as he let out a long sigh, getting used to the feeling of being back inside you before he started to set a pace. “Feel so good around me, baby. Fuck I missed you.”
"Harry," You moaned louder this time, going up in volume the faster he went. "Harder, baby." You urged him on, hearing a type of groan and growl leave from his lips. He buried his face into your neck as he continued to thrust faster, leaving more hickies on the other side of your neck.
"Oh fuck yes." He grunted against your skin, his words only bringing back that fluttery feeling in your stomach. "My gorgeous girlfriend. Even when you’re angry at me, you’re still so fucking hot.” He whispered, lifting his head up from your neck to look at you in the eyes while he fucked you. “No-one can have you, you hear me? You're mine." He whispered, taking one of his hands to wrap around your neck. Not too tight but enough to send your mind spiraling.
"Oh fuck Harry!" You cried out at this, your hands going straight to his shoulders. You dug your fingernails into his skin, dragging them down his pale back as you struggled to get your words out. "You're mine, Lewis. You're mine and I'm yours." You choked out, gasping and moaning out a version of his name at every thrust.
"Damn right." He growled, eventually turning you both over so you were on top of him. He kept control despite the change in position, angling his hips up and holding your hips to keep you steady. He kept doing that for a while, just smirking at hearing the porn-worthy noises that came past your lips. That smirk wiped away however when he felt his thrusts starting to falter, Harry coming closer and closer to his orgasm just like you.
"Oh baby, I'm so close." You whispered, clutching onto him as she felt her high nearing. Harry only smirked at this, trying to go as fast as he could in that moment. He sat up from the mattress, keeping a hold on your hips. He kissed you, "Go on baby, come for me. I wanna hear you." He growled against your lips. That was your breaking point.
"Harry!" You practically screamed, reaching orgasm. It was incredible the types of orgasms Harry gave to you, they always left you speechless and shaking. You heard strangled groans of your name come from Harry, feeling him reach his orgasm too. You kept rocking your hips against his as you both worked each other through your orgasms - eventually stopping when Harry pulled out. He collapsed down onto the mattress, bringing you down with him and holding you against him.
You were left a panting mess, resting against Harry’s body and your head on his chest. All that could be heard was your and Harry's panting, both of your eyes closed to take in what just happened before Harry motioned you to look at him.
"You still mad at me?" Harry asked sweetly after a while, “I don’t know how you could be after that.”
"Oh shut up." You rolled your eyes playfully, enjoying his laughter before you pecked his lips.
"Still - I still think something needs to change, Harry." You admitted, gaining Harold's attention. "I mean... I... I love you, I do. And I want to be with you. But you’re in London constantly. I can’t even travel to see you that often because of university. If I’m just barely going to see you, I can't deal with that. I need a compromise."
Harry thought about what you said for a moment, placing a small kiss to your forehead. "You're right. I will admit that I love London more than Guernsey but I love you more than anything." He admitted to you, nothing left but love filling his beautifully colored eyes of his. "So let's fix the problem. When you graduate from uni, come back to London with me."
"What?" You asked, confused.
"Come back with me to London, move in with me and Cal. We never have to be apart that way." He cooed. "I can talk to the guys about letting me come back to Guernsey every couple weeks or so to see you more rather than what I have been doing until you finish school. But when you finish, I want you to move out to London to stay with me permanently. I want to have you there for everything. None of this long distance bullshit. Especially if it’s making you doubt me. I want you with me. To prove to you that you never had anything to be scared about.”
It was definitely a lot for you to take in, moving from your small little town to the big city of the UK. You were nervous about thinking of starting a life there but as you looked at Harry and saw that future involved him - it became a no brainer.
"We'll talk about it properly in the morning, okay? For now, let’s get some sleep. Especially since you gotta make up for missing today." You said softly with a smile, pecking his lips before laying your head back on his chest.
"So after the morning sex?" Harry teased, making you roll your eyes and hitting him with the nearest pillow as his laughter vibrated throughout the whole flat.
Yep. London sounded pretty good.

Word Count— 3.3k
Summary— The summer solstice is here and it’s time to celebrate. Your favorite part of the solstice is that you get to see Hoseok, or rather, the love of your life. It’s too bad you haven’t told him how you really felt, even though it has been centuries. Maybe this year will be different.
A/N— This fic is part of The Fabled Collab hosted by @joontopia, @kimtaehyunq, and @whipped-for-kpop-fics. Hoseok is my sunshine, so I just had to write about him! Thank you to @s0seo and @taegularities for giving me motivation to write. Lastly, huge shoutout to Eden from @thebiasrekkers for making this awesome banner for me! As always, let me know how you guys like the fic! My askbox is always open <3
Fae clans have many holidays and rituals, but solstices are by far the most celebrated. Solstices mark the pivotal event that shifts the seasonal responsibilities between the sun and moon clans. The summer and winter solstice are always the biggest events of the year, with about a week of festivities leading up to the final event.
Sweat ran down your spine as the sun beat down on you. You’ve been holding up a stupid banner for what felt like an eternity.
“Okay wait, you’re gonna hate me but I think we should put it back to where we originally had it,” Sunghoon said with furrowed brows.
“That’s it. We’ve been doing this all morning. Figure this out yourself,” you angrily threw down the banner and stormed off before Sunghoon had the chance to yell at you.
You ignored the friendly calls from other fae that were setting up decor nearby. It was way past your bedtime. Cranky and drenched in sweat, you were definitely not a happy night fairy. Heading straight to the pond, you derobed and found comfort in the cool waters that washed away your stress instantly. You gazed up at the blue sky while floating on your back. The day truly was beautiful, you couldn’t deny that. However, nighttime was better in your very much biased opinion. The dark sky littered with countless stars that glittered like diamonds was an unbeatable sight.
“Hey there sunshine!” a familiar voice interrupted your thoughts. You dipped back into the water and turned to the source of the sound.
“Hey there, perv. Care to join me?” you beckoned.
“I wish I could, but I need to go finalize some plans for the handoff ceremony--”
“It’s the same EVERY year. C’mon Hobi, you don’t need to go,” you whined.
“I’ll meet you back here at sunset, how does that sound?” he tried to appease you.
“Midnight. I’m already exhausted, I don’t wanna wake up early,” you blew raspberries into the pond.
“That’s fair. I’ll see you then okay?” Hoseok waved before flying off.
On top of parties filled with indulgences that would blow the mind of any feeble human, Hoseok was the added bonus that made you eager for each solstice. Admittedly, you two have had some sort of flirtationship going on for the past few centuries. Your friends always teased you about how madly head over heels you were for him. As much as you wanted to believe that he loved you in the same way, something always felt off.
Hoseok always reciprocated your flirtatious advances, but it felt more like a game between friends rather than something substantial. You’ve even observed his interactions with other fairies, and it didn’t seem like he gave you any special treatment. He was simply a good friendly guy that everyone loved, but not the way that you loved him.
You were dying to know how he truly felt about you. All these years of playful banter had been fun, but they had also been simultaneously eating away at you. There’s no way he doesn’t know that you love him. At the same time, what if he thinks you’re just a good friend? You needed to know for sure, and you intended to confront him about it at midnight.
“Good evening,” you greeted Hoseok shyly as you approached the pond’s bank.
“Good day to you sunshine,” Hoseok called back as he kicked at the water.
“How’d the meeting go?” you asked.
“Boring as always. You’re right, it’s the same every year. But the elders still want to go over everything again to ensure that the ceremony is perfect,” Hoseok sighed.
“Thanks for coming to hangout with me even though you’re so busy,” you said, suddenly feeling guilty.
“Are you kidding? I’ve been looking forward to this all day! You’re the perfect person to unwind with after a long day,” Hoseok smiled. There it was. The radiant smile you fell for the first time you ever met him.
“You sure I’m the perfect person for that? What do you do when you’re back in your own land surrounded by other day fae?” you prodded, hoping to steer the conversation onto the ‘what are we’ topic.
“I have my friends there for sure, and I appreciate them too. But it’s different with you. Maybe because I can only hangout with you twice a year. You’re like my super special friend, yaknow?” Hoseok tried to explain.
“Uh yeah, for sure. Like a special playdate kind of thing huh?” you tried to hide your hurt feelings.
“Exactly! You get it. It’s like you’re my favorite dessert that I can only have twice a year,” Hoseok nodded.
“Right…” you whispered softly to yourself. You spent the rest of the night listening to the unfruitful discussions Hoseok had during his meetings. All the excitement over the festival had drained from you. Now, you just wanted it to be over so you can go sulk in peace.
“You’re awfully quiet,” Hoseok observed, “You haven’t interjected once about how stupid our traditions are or how you’re looking forward to having long nights again.”
“Hm? Oh yeah, I’m just tired. Sunghoon really worked me to the bone yesterday, that damn day fairy,” you faked a yawn.
“Hey, be nice! Wasn’t it you who volunteered to help us anyway?” Hoseok shook his head.
‘Yeah, because I thought I’d be able to work with you,’ you thought.
“It was a bizarre streak of altruism, that’s all,” you shrugged.
“Nah, I know you’re a kind fairy deep down!” Hoseok playfully nudged your shoulder. Normally you would welcome this type of physical affection, but for right now it served as a painful reminder that you were merely seen as a buddy.
You actively avoided Hoseok for the remainder of the week, counting down the hours to when it would finally all be over. You made up some lame excuse to not hangout with Hoseok every time he approached you. He must have caught on by the final day, either that or he was extremely busy. Afterall, he was the MC for the entire ordeal.
Apparently, your abrasive reputation preceded you because no one wanted your help with anything. As soon as they saw you coming, they would randomly find themselves very preoccupied with something that made them too busy to talk to you. The only person who would put you to work was Sunghoon, who was one of Hoseok’s best friends. You wondered why he was always so nice to you even when you complained the entire time you helped him.
“That’s the last table! They all look great, thanks for helping with the set up,” Sunghoon gave you a thumbs up.
“You know it’s pointless setting up all these tables. Most of the fairies are just gonna be dancing or fucking all night long, no one is gonna be sitting down,” you said.
“Are you gonna be one of the fairies partying?” Sunghoon inquired.
“Definitely not,” you answered curtly.
“Then I’m happy at least one of these tables will be utilized,” Sunghoon nodded, “Try to enjoy yourself tonight okay?”
“Whatever,” you rolled your eyes.
The entire forest seemed to come alive that night. The trees swayed with the enchanting music while cheers of merriment erupted around the party scene. You sat alone at a mushroom table with your third (or was it fourth?) cup of berry wine. You glared at the fairies who had lost themselves to their pleasures, whether it be the wine or the toadstools, or perhaps even both. Fairies who had given into their more lustful urges could be seen on the outskirts of the dance floor, some in the innocent stages of kissing and others entangled full fledged fornication. Scoffing at the obscene orgy, you stumbled off to get another cup of wine. Even though you weren’t really participating, you had to admit that fairies knew how to throw a party.
“Hey ___, I noticed you’ve been by yourself the whole evening. Want some company?” someone asked behind you as you filled up your mug to the brim. You turned to see two Sunghoons merge to become one hazy Sunghoon in the blink of an eye.
“F-ffuck off Sunghoon,” you slurred.
“I wanted to thank you for all the hard work you did for this year’s summer solstice,” Sunghoon continued, unfazed by your harshness, “Wanna dance to celebrate?”
“Nope,” you answered as you pushed him aside.
“Yeah she seemed pretty pissed dude,” Sunghoon said while taking a large swig.
“At you or in general?” Hoseok inquired.
“Dunno man, she’s always been like that. However, she seemed more aggravated than usual, which is hard to imagine,” Sunghoon chuckled, “Did you do something to her?”
“No! I’ve been replaying everything we talked about at the pond but everything seemed fine! I even told her that she was my super special friend and---oh shit,” Hoseok’s face fell.
“Idiot,” Sunghoon tsked.
Both fae clans had gathered by the main stage, intently listening to the same speeches that the clan leaders have spoken for centuries. You watched apathetically as the everlasting flame was being formally handed over. The crowd roared as the flame changed from a deep crimson red to an icy silver color with a blue hue, signifying that the solstice had come to pass.
If the festival wasn’t wild before, it had only gotten more out of hand after the official ceremony. Seeing the other fairies go wild in every sense of the word made you nauseous. The noise level intensified as you watched your fairy brethren engage in rather promiscuous activities. Someone even beckoned for you to join in the fun, but you just walked away. The only person you wanted to have that kind of fun with was Hoseok. It infuriated you that your thoughts always drifted to him. You filled up your cup one last time and walked away from the ruckus, towards an empty grove. Hopefully you would be able to wallow in self pity in peace there.
The stars twinkled above you, and dim moonlight speckled the ground around you as it shone through the trees. You could still hear the party, but it was much fainter now and served as nice background noise to keep you from drowning in your thoughts. With a deep exhale, you fought to hold back tears. You felt so foolish. Too many years have been wasted in vain for an unrequited love that you should have seen coming. It was so stupid of you to hold onto a sliver of hope that Hoseok would like you back.
“The party is that way,” a familiar voice called out to you.
“Then why aren’t you there?” you didn’t try to mask the annoyance in your voice.
“I saw you walk away, I wanted to check up on you.”
“Why the fuck would you even care?” you sat up and hissed.
“Why are you being so hostile? You’re the one who has been avoiding me all week!” Hoseok raised his voice.
“I’m sure you didn’t have much time to spend with me anyway,” you huffed.
“That’s not true. I spent every moment of my free time looking for you, only for you to turn me away. Can you tell me what’s wrong?” Hoseok calmed down.
“Fine. I’m in love with you, okay? How fucking embarrassing. It hurt when you said that I was your super best friend or whatever. Seeing you afterward just reminded me of how dumb I am,” you couldn’t make eye contact with him.
“Oh sunshine, I’m the idiot. I shouldn’t have said that. You’re my special friend because I like you too. I wanted to spend every second with you this week. I didn’t mean to hurt you like that, I’m so sorry ____,” Hoseok got down on his knees and pulled you in for a hug. You were stunned.
“Why didn’t you say anything sooner then!” you pushed him off.
“I thought it was obvious from the way we flirted!” he argued.
“You’re nice to everyone, it was hard for me to tell,” you pouted.
“My apologies for not being a sourpuss like you,” Hoseok laughed.
“So...what now? It wasn’t really a romantic confession but I guess our feelings are out in the open now,” you whispered as you leaned against him.
Suddenly, Hoseok pushed you back to the ground, straddling your hips. His dark hair nearly covered his eyes as he looked down at you. He was beyond beautiful, his white iridescent wings glittered ethereally in the moonlight.
“Remember when I said you’re like a dessert I can only have twice a year? I’d like to make that a reality,” Hobi smirked. He bent over to kiss you. It was soft at first, his plush lips pressing up against yours. He gently cupped your face with one hand while the other wandered to your chest, undoing your blouse. Lust overtook the both of you as the kiss deepened and Hoseok fondled your breasts. You let out a small gasp as he played with your nipples, rolling them between his fingers.
“Spread those legs for me, sunshine,” he demanded.
You complied, slowly exposing yourself to him. You couldn’t bring yourself to look at him while in such a compromising position. Hoseok gingerly kissed a trail along your inner thighs towards your core. His hot breath against your pussy made you squirm under him in anticipation.
“So impatient,” he chuckled, “Let’s play a game. You have to make eye contact with me while I eat you out. Every time you look away, I stop.”
“You’re evil,” you huffed before reluctantly looking at the beautiful being perched between your legs.
“That’s my girl,” he purred approvingly before spreading your folds with his fingers. His eyes darkened with lust as you watched him lick tantalizingly slow stripes. He could feel your need for more, so he moved up to focus on your clit, giving it special attention as his tongue swirled around it.
You tangled your fingers into his hair, gripping him tighter as he licked your clit faster. All your composure was lost as you looked down at him with pleading eyes.
“What is it? Need more?” Hoseok teased as his fingers traced your entrance.
“Please,” you whimpered.
“Please what?” Hoseok feigned ignorance
“Please touch me,” you said softly.
“We need to work on your begging, but you’re so adorable I can’t say no,” Hobi dove back into stimulating your clit as he slipped a finger inside of you. He smirked at how easily he went in, and immediately added a second finger. The new feeling had you throwing your head back as he grazed your g-spot. Right as things began to feel good, he retracted everything.
“Hobi!” you cried out in frustration.
“You looked away. Remember the rules to our little game?” Hoseok chided. You glared down at him as he immediately picked up where he left off, not giving you time to readjust. Fighting back the urge to close your eyes, soft moans escaped from your lips.
“Ready to cum, my dear ___?” he asked sweetly as his fingers dipped to directly attack your g-spot.
There was no time to give a proper response. Your back arched and your toes curled up as your orgasm overwhelmed you. Drenched in your juices, Hoseok glistened under the moonlight.
“Absolutely gorgeous,” Hoseok praised, “But I’m not finished with you yet,” he leaned in to whisper in your ear.
He unbuckled his trousers, releasing the monster that dangled between his legs. You willingly spread your legs for him, eager for more.
“So needy, you haven’t had enough yet?” Hoseok tsked as he rubbed the tip of his cock along your folds.
Finally, Hoseok began to bury himself into you. He took his time, relishing how your warm walls squeezed him. You closed your eyes in ecstasy, focusing on feeling every inch of him. Once he bottomed out, you wrapped your legs around him in an attempt to bring him impossibly closer. The dark lust that swam in his eyes broke for a second, replaced by the warm smile that made you fall in love with him in the first place. He bent down to kiss you, and you happily reciprocated.
Hoseok moved his hips slowly as he fucked you at a deep yet gentle pace. Mouths still colliding, you shyly licked at his lips. Taking your hint, Hoseok’s tongue met yours. As the kisses deepened with more saliva being interchanged, Hoseok’s thrusts became harsher.
“You’re so fucking sexy. Lemme see that ass baby,” Hoseok growled as he flipped you over.
He smacked your ass twice and watched it jiggle in awe before placing a firm grip on your hips. Almost animalistically, he bucked into you. Your body jolted forward with each thrust. You had never been fucked this hard before, and it was heavenly. Hoseok’s control over his body movement was insane. Your moans grew louder as his hips continuously rolled into you.
One of Hoseok’s hands formed a tight grip on your hair, roughly bringing your head up off the ground. You couldn’t stop your wanton moans from filling the open air.
“H-Hoseok,” you cried out.
“What is it? Is it too much for you?” Hoseok cooed in your ear as he brought your head back even closer to him.
“Mmm-no,” was all you could make out.
“I knew you could take it all, such a good slut,” Hoseok praised as he let go of your hair.
Unable to hold yourself up, you immediately fell back onto your chest. Your fingernails dug into the dirt as you could feel another orgasm swelling up inside of you.
“I’m gonna cum again,” you wailed out.
“I’m almost there, wait for me baby,” Hoseok instructed.
With perfect timing, Hoseok let out a guttural moan as he spilled his seed inside of you. Sounds of pleasure bounced around the grove as you came in unison. Hoseok’s cum dripped down the sides of your inner thighs when he pulled out.
“How did I do, sunshine?” Hoseok asked jovially as you laid on the ground before him.
“You knocked me out. I don’t think I can move for a while,” you weakly answered with a smile.
“Not a problem, we can just stay here for a while, sunshine,” Hoseok laid down beside you, beckoning for you to rest atop his chest.
“I like when you call me that,” you yawned.
“Sunshine?” Hoseok asked.
“Yeah, that. It makes me feel special,” you nodded.
“Is that so? I’m glad it makes you feel special, because you are. You’ve always been the spunky night fairy that everyone knows but is too afraid to approach,” Hoseok laughed.
“What! I am totally friendly! Just not to those who piss me off,” you defended, “Which...I guess is a lot of people so I suppose I see your point. What made you want to be my friend if everyone thought I’m scary?”
“You treated me like everyone else. It always felt like people put on a fake facade around me since I’m the chief’s son. They’re nice to me to try and curry favor with my father, or maybe flirt with me to try and gain some special sort of status. I don’t know. I’m just me,” Hoseok shrugged.
“If it makes you feel any better, you’re my sunshine,” you hugged him.
“That makes me feel great. I’ll do my best to see you more than twice a year, okay?” he kissed your forehead.
“I guess I can clear my schedule and come over to visit you too,” you giggled, “Or maybe we can run away and make a clan of our own.”
“Are you serious?” he asked, “Don’t tempt me. I’d love to go somewhere where no one knows my name or expects anything from me.”
“How about we go to where the day meets the night?” you offered.
“Like what? An eclipse?” Hoseok said as he gazed into the night sky.
“Precisely. We can make an eclipse clan. We only have to do festivals for eclipses, and those are kinda rare,” you giggled.
“Sounds like a good dream, sunshine. Let’s seriously discuss it in the morning when we’re both more sober,” Hoseok kissed your forehead.
“Goodnight, my sunshine,” you whispered into his chest.

20 Questions With Darren Criss: How Acting Has Helped Him Make New Music
While Darren Criss has graced our TV screens with a range of characters, from high schooler Blaine Anderson on Glee to serial killer Andrew Cunanan on The Assassination of Gianni Versace, he was last spotted just being himself, on our For You Page on TikTok. “I’m walking to rehearsal with a guitar on my back with a Trader Joe’s bag ... I did not bring an umbrella because I forgot that it was raining. I’m rocking that NYC musician life,” the Glee alum explained in the hilarious clip posted three days ago.
While Criss’ acting work has earned him acclaim and stardom, he leaned into making music during the pandemic. On Aug. 20, he dropped a new EP, Masquerade, featuring five new tracks that Criss says were inspired by the different characters Criss has embraced throughout his career. After Criss wrote songs for his musical comedy web series Royalties and Apple TV+’s animated sitcom Central Park before the pandemic struck the United States, he then used those experiences as a precursor to his new EP. As Criss continues to promote his new music, he answered 20 of Billboard's questions – giving us a peek into how his new EP came together, and how growing up in San Fransisco shaped him as an actor, singer and all-around artist.
1. What inspired your latest project, Masquerade?
Although I would have preferred that it come at a far less grim cost, I finally had the time. Before the pandemic, I had written 10 new songs for my show Royalties -- along with an original song for Disney and another for Apple’s Central Park. These were all assignments in which I was writing for a certain scenario and character. Go figure. It was the most music I had ever written in a calendar year. This really emboldened me to rethink how I made my own music— to start putting a focus on “character creation” in my songs, rather than personal reflection. The latter was not proving to be as productive. The alchemy of having this time and having set a new intention with my own songwriting and producing made me put on a few of my favorite masques and throw myself a Masquerade.
2. How do you think your background as an actor complements your music?
They are one and the same to me. I treat acting roles like musical pieces— dialogue is like scoring a melody; there’s pace, dynamics, cadence, tone. Physical characterization is like producing -- zeroing in on the bass line, deciding on the kick pattern. Vocal characterization is like choosing the right sonic experience, choosing the most effective snare sound, and mixing the high end or low end. It goes without saying that it works in the complete opposite direction. Making each song is taking on a different role literally and employing the use of different masques to maximize the effectiveness of the particular story being told.
3. On Instagram you wrote that “Masquerade is a small collection of the variety of musical masques that have always inspired me.” Which track do you identify with most in your real life?
Everybody absorbs songs differently. Some key into the lyrics, some into the melody, some the production, some into vocal performance. When I listen to songs, I consider all of their value on totally different scales. So it’s hard to say if there’s any track I “identify” with more than any others, since I -- by nature -- identify with all of them. I think I just identify with certain aspects more than others. If it helps for a more interesting answer, I will say I enjoy the slightly more classical, playful -- dare I say -- more Broadway-leaning wordplay of “Walk of Shame,” but that’s just talking about lyricism. I enjoy the attitude of “F*kn Around,” the batsh--t musicality of “I Can’t Dance,” the relentless grooves of “Let’s” and “For A Night Like This.” All have different ingredients I really enjoy having an excuse to dive into.
4. What’s the first piece of music that you bought for yourself, and what was the medium?
Beatles audio cassettes: “Help” and “Hard Day’s Night.” I just listened on repeat on a tape-playing Walkman until my brother and I got a stereo for our room with a CD player in it, which was when I just bought the same two albums again, but this time as compact discs.
5. What was the first concert you saw? It’s hard to say, because my parents took us to a lot of classical concerts when we were small. But I guess this question usually refers to what was the first concert you went to on your own volition, and that my friend, was definitely Warped Tour ’01. My brother and I went on our own— two teenagers going to their first music festival, in the golden age of that particular genre and culture. It was f--king incredible.
6. What did your parents do for a living when you were a kid?
My dad was in private banking and advised really, really wealthy people on how to handle their money. My mom was, by choice, a stay-at-home mom, but in reality, she was my dad’s consigliere. They discussed absolutely everything together. They were a real team, and I saw that every single day in the house. They both had a background in finance (That’s how they met in the first place.) and were incredibly skilled at all the hardcore adulting things that I absolutely suck at. They were total finance wizards together. So of course, instead of becoming an accountant, I picked up playing the guitar and ran as far I could with it. Luckily, they were all about it.
7. What was your favorite homecooked meal growing up?
My dad was an incredible chef. For special occasions, I’d request his crab cakes. They were unreal. I’ve never had a crab cake anywhere in the world that was good as my dad’s.
8. Who made you realize you could be an artist full-time?
I don’t know if I’ve actually realized that yet.
9. What’s at the top of your professional bucket list?
The specifics change every day, but the core idea at the top is to continue being consistently inconsistent with my choices, and to keep getting audiences to constantly reconsider their consideration of me. But I mean, sure, what performer doesn’t want to play Coachella? What songwriter doesn’t want to have Adele sing one of their songs? What actor doesn’t want to be in a Wes Anderson film?
10. How did your hometown/city shape who you are?
San Francisco. I mean, come on. I was really lucky. The older I get, the more grateful I am for just being born and raised there. It’s an incredibly diverse, culturally rich, colorful, inclusive, vibrant city. By the time I was born, it had served as a beacon for millions of creative, out-of-the-box thinkers to gather and thrive. I grew up around that. The combination of that with having parents, who were unbelievably supportive of the arts themselves, laid an incredibly fortunate foundation to consider the life of an artist as a legitimately viable option. It’s a foundation that I am supremely aware is not the case for millions of young artists around the world. I was absurdly lucky.
11. What’s the last song you listened to?
I mean probably one of mine, but not by choice. I know, lame. But I’m promoting a new EP, what’d you expect? But if you wanna know what I’ve been listening to, as far as new s--t is concerned: a lot of Lizzy McAlpine, Remi Wolf, and Charlie Burg.
12. If you could see any artist in concert, dead or alive, who would it be?
The Beatles is an obvious "yeah, duh." Sammy Davis, Mel Tormé, or of course, Nat King Cole. I would’ve loved to see Howard Ashman give a lecture on his creative process and his body of work.
13. What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen happen in the crowd of one of your sets?
I feel like just having a crowd at all, at any one of my sets, is pretty wild enough.
14. What’s your karaoke go-to?
The real answer to this I’ll write into a book one day, because I have a lot to say about karaoke etiquette. I have two options here: I can either name a song that I like to sing for me, for fun, or I can name a song that really gets the group going. The answer depends on what kind of karaoke night we’re dealing with here. So I will say, after I’ve selected a ton of songs that services a decent enough party vibe for everyone else, then I would do one for me, and that would be the Beatles’ “Oh! Darling.”
15. What’s one thing your most devoted fans don’t know about you?
What I have up my sleeve.
16. What TV show did you binge-watch over the past year?
Dave is a stroke of genius. There are episodes that I believe are bona fide masterpieces. Also, My Brilliant Friend is a masterclass in cinematic television.
17. What movie, or song, always makes you cry?
It’s A Wonderful Life.
18. What’s one piece of advice you would give to your younger self?
Get used to sharing everything about yourself and your life now, or more astutely, to the idea that you don’t necessarily get to control how your life is shared. I know it’s not really your thing, but you’re gonna have to get used to it, so start building up those calluses now. And don’t worry, all the stuff you love now will be cool again in your mid-thirties, so keep some of those clothes because you’ll be a full-blown fashion icon if you just keep wearing exactly what you’re wearing. Oh nd also, put money into Apple and Facebook.
19. What new hobby did you take on in the last year?
I’ve always been a linguaphile. My idea of leisure time is getting to study or review other languages. This past year, I took the time to finally dive into learning how to read, write, and speak Japanese. Other than making music, it was one of the biggest components of my 2020-2021.
20. What do you hope to accomplish or experience by the end of 2021?
I hope I get to play live shows again.

Safe - G.W.
A follow-up to Familiar Sheets
Pairing: George Weasley x reader
Summary: George and the reader reunite, catch up after not seeing each other for so long, then figure out their future together
word count: 2951
warnings: cursing, smutty smut smut, 18+, oral (female receiving), slight dom George, praise kink, no mention of protection before sex (but I blame it on being wizards)
That being said, since there’s a little bit more story to this one if you want to avoid the graphic stuff and nudity, I divided it off with a line:
×××××××××××××××××××××××××
Feedback encouraged! 💖
You had arrived at Hogwarts and have been waiting in the Room of Requirement. You felt incredibly weird, being in such a familiar place, surrounded by all those people you knew, everything so distracting and you were trying to keep focused.
And then the portrait of Ariana swung open again, and He walked in with a larger group. It felt like your heart was going to stop and you froze in the spot.
They started greeting each other, George looked around the room and saw you quickly, initial shock and relief on his face got fast replaced with the biggest, happiest smile.
They started going through the plan of action, Harry was talking and you didn’t interrupt, it was important. But you weren’t really listening, you couldn’t hear what he was saying.
Then they were waiting again. Lightheaded, you walked up to George and he reached his arms out to you, not sure if it was reality. You wrapped your arms around his neck and practically fell into his arms, he picked you up in the tightest embrace.
It was all overwhelming, the emotions, the sounds, you wanted to bury yourself in him and just stay like that.
He placed you back on the ground, still holding you tight against him.
You looked at his face, dazed and said “Hi” then chuckled.
He laughed with you before replying “Hi”, and kissed you with all the passion and love accumulated over so many months. Your brain had a short-circuit and you grasped onto his shoulders for support as he poured his soul into you.
After pulling away, you rested your foreheads against each other and stayed like that for a moment.
“It’s not over yet, baby,” you whispered to him, a bit desperately. “We’ve still got a bit to do.”
“I know, love.”
“I’m gonna need you to focus Georgie. Promise me you won’t think about me when the fight breaks out. Please… just stay safe. Just a bit more.” You tried your best to not let your voice break.
“I know, Princess…you be careful too. Just a bit more.”
It was early morning now, the Death Eaters had turned back and Voldemort was waiting for Harry in the forest.
George was pacing the Great Hall, all around him dead bodies or wounded witches and wizards being tended to. No Fred or Y/N in sight. He tried not to worry about you too much, he’d expect you to be helping out Harry, along with Ron and Hermione – but he got split up with Fred and hadn’t seen him since. Fred would come back.
After a few more moments that felt like hours, Fred stepped through the great entrance, supporting his weight on your shoulder. Carrying someone his size was a task, so Bill and Charlie helped you out as they were right by the door. Then you disappeared again, still having more to do.
George collapsed on a bench, relieved, and Fred was soon sat next to him.
“Thanks…” Fred said to his older brothers, who just nodded, then turned to his twin. “I’d be a goner without her, you know.”
George didn’t know how to reply, but he was only slightly surprised you’d saved Fred.
“I was unconscious and she dragged me away to revive me…” Fred recounted, still a bit shook, then they were silent for a bit.
He put a hand on George’s shoulder and with his most serious expression said, “You have to marry her now. If you split up with her after that, I’m going to have to kill you.”
George gave him a tired chuckle, “I know, Freddie. I know…”
The day after that your parents held a small dinner party, to celebrate the start of a new era and honour the ones who had fallen in the war.
Having spent the previous day mostly sleeping off, this was your first proper chance to see your boyfriend. You felt a bit giddy all throughout dinner and frankly, you couldn’t wait for everyone to leave so you could snatch George upstairs to your room.
“You’re staying after dinner, right..?” you whispered to him at the table.
“Yeah, of course,” he said matter-of-factly and squeezed your hand lightly.
“…and you’re staying the night, aren’t you?” you asked, even quieter, leaning a bit closer to him.
He tried to hold back a smirk, “Well, if I’m invited…”
After walking into your bedroom, you stepped into the middle of the room and turned around to face George. You reached to wrap your arms around his neck, his own found your waist and you stayed like that for a moment, with your eyes closed and foreheads touching.
Then he brought his hands up to cup your cheeks and kissed you tenderly, but with passion.
“I don’t know if I’d rather spend hours talking to you to make up for all this time,” he started and gave you another soft kiss on the lips, before continuing in a whisper, “or tear all of your clothes off and throw you on the bed.”
×××××××××××××××××××××××××
All these months apart weren’t easy, not just emotionally. In the conditions you were in, throughout all this time you never had the chance to touch yourself, not that you were ever in the mood with everything going on. But now, being with George again, feeling him close, his body touching yours – his warmth, his natural smell – it was like an awakening. Kissing him and now hearing those words, you could feel the warmth and pulsing between your legs, then the wetness starting to spill onto your panties.
“Or we could talk when we’re not able to move anymore..?” you said breathily, one of your hands making its way to play with his hair, the other slipping underneath the back of his shirt.
A familiar, mischievous grin appeared on his face as he leaned further down to kiss your neck, “Good point,” he said, grabbing you just below your ass and lifting you, “as always, babe”.
He put you down on your bed and his lips found yours again, then both of you started tearing off your own and each other’s clothes, only breaking the kiss when it was necessary.
Once you were left in your underwear, George positioned himself above you, he intertwined your fingers beside your head and started kissing your body – starting behind your ears, sending tingles throughout your body. He pressed small, soft kisses all over your neck, then down between your breasts. As he travelled down, so did his hands, sliding down your skin, cupping your breasts through your bra as he kissed his way down your stomach, then both of your thighs. Your hands were moving along his shoulders and messing up his hair. Luckily for you, he liked that.
He spread your legs a bit further and his lips began to travel up the insides of your thighs as you tried your best not to squirm, the good girl you were for him. Your breath hitched as his lips ghosted over the fabric of your panties. He paused there for a second and his hot breath was driving you crazy.
He took a moment to study your face, his eyes filled with lust. “You’re already so wet for me, Princess. And you’re being so good, aren’t you, baby girl?”
You whimpered, “mhm… Y-yes.” nodding eagerly.
“Good,” he said and placed another kiss right where your clit was underneath your panties, now so swollen it almost hurt.
He got back up and kissed your lips, swiftly removing your bra in the meantime. As soon as it was off, he wasted no time, he licked and sucked on your nipples. He used one of his hands to massage one of your breasts that didn’t currently have his mouth on it, and with his other hand, he stroked your pussy through your now soaked underwear.
“Georgie, please… I need you now,” you begged.
He looked up at you, “I was really enjoying myself.” He got up to his knees, “But since you’re behaving so well and asked nicely,” he continued while pulling your panties down.
You felt relief as he brought his lips to your pussy. He wasn’t in for teasing anymore, he licked and sucked to bring pleasure, thanks to all the build-up it felt so sweet you were a moaning mess right away, grabbing at his hair and shoulders to ground yourself. It didn’t take long before you started getting close. Unable to speak up you tug at his hair and squeeze his shoulder a little tighter. George brings up two fingers to massage your entrance then pushes them in. It took a few pumps to push you over the edge, you shut your eyes tight as your vision turned black for a moment and dug your feet into the mattress, a tide of pleasure washing over your body.
You opened your eyes to him caressing your cheek with the tips of his fingers.
“How do you feel, baby?” he asked with care, a small smile on his lips.
“Good. That was intense, but good.” He kissed your forehead. “I’m ready for more now,” you told him with a mischievous glint in your eye and a smirk made its way back onto his lips.
George brought both his hands to your hips, “That’s my girl,” he whispered in your ear, before turning you over so you were laying on your stomach and anticipation started to build up between your legs again. He lifted your hips so that you propped yourself on your knees, then ran his hands over your ass and squeezed.
He placed a kiss on your bum and before pulling his lips away, spanked you, making you moan out a curse into a pillow.
He took off his boxers and you saw precum glistening on the tip of his cock before he positioned himself behind you.
George pushed in slowly halfway in, his grip tight on your hips and your jaw dropped in pleasure, then pulled out and pushed in again, all the way in with a low growl. “Fuck, baby… you feel so good on me.” He gave you a moment to adjust to his length, kissing and caressing your body.
He started to move, the first few thrusts slow but then he built up a quick pace.
George was being rough, not being able to control himself once he was finally inside you after so long. He didn’t hold back any of the sounds he was making either – and you loved it, all the moans, groaning and cursing.
“Look at you, Princess, taking me so well. Merlin- I missed fucking you senseless so much, you have no idea”
“I- I missed it… just as much,” you managed to get out in between moans as he pounded into that sweet spot. Soon you were clenching around him as you came and he did too, his warm cum inside of you adding to your pleasure.
It wasn’t your finishing note, though. As soon as George was hard again, you were underneath him, tangled in a tight embrace as he was pushing into you, at a slow pace this time, making sure you felt all of him as he made love to you physically and verbally.
When you finished, your body was so tired, but you felt blissful, ecstatic. After you’ve caught your breath George carried you to the bathroom.
You leaned against the sink as he turned the water on and was making sure it was the right temperature. It gave you a chance to get a proper look at his body when you weren’t in the heat of the moment. He looked just like before you left.
“Like what you see so much?” you hadn’t noticed he turned to you with a shit-eating grin.
You gasped lightly, feigning shock. “George, I’ve been meaning to tell you, actually. I like you, you know. I think we could be more than friends…” you played, strolling over to him.
“Mhm, if you’re nice I can take you out for a coffee.” He said pulling you into the shower cabin. “But – I don’t kiss on the first date, just so you know.”
You snorted, “We’ll see, Weasley” you winked at him and you both laughed.
George washed your body and you felt a huge weight off your shoulders as the worries of the last months or maybe even years melted away and you leaned into his touch more.
“It’s finally over, huh?” you started as he was rubbing your shoulders.
“Hm?”
“The war. The worrying. The threat.” you listed, only now starting to believe it.
“Oh, yeah… We’re free now.” He said and paused his movements for a moment, deep in thought. Then he kissed the top of your head but didn’t say anything. You didn’t ask, still in a bit of a trance.
×××××××××××××××××××××××××
“It still seems so surreal” you spoke, snuggled into George’s side underneath the bed covers. “Being here. At home, safe.” You pressed your face to his neck and he held you a little tighter in his arms. “With you… and it’s gonna stay that way,” you mumbled against his skin.
“It does a bit, doesn’t it?” he said, “And life’s gonna get back to normal… What’re you gonna do now?”
Frankly, you didn’t know. Ever since the war came along your plan consisted of staying alive and protecting your loved ones. When you left to help Harry you couldn’t be sure you would get back. You were prepared to die if it meant saving others. Getting back to George was all you wanted before and your thoughts had never made it further.
“Dunno… Take my time, rest a bit, get used to being back at home… I’ll have time to spend with you, too – you’re not going back to work right away, are you?” you lifted your head to look at him.
He chuckled sleepily, “No, maybe not right away. We’ll take some time off, we’ll see.”
“You better…” you said, fighting a yawn that escaped your lips anyway.
Over the next couple of weeks, you somehow got back to normal – or found a new normal. You stayed at home with your family, still getting back used to the safety of home, you tried to go out with your friends, but also figure out what it was that you wanted to do with your life now.
George and Fred opened the shop back up and got back to their usual routine. It was a Saturday with everyone at the Burrow, and the twins had managed to catch Hermione off guard, on her own – with no one around to listen.
“Hermione, I need a favour,” George said simply, leaning back on the counter as she was getting a glass for herself.
She looked at him with slightly furrowed eyebrows, “A favour?” She looked between the two and they nodded with serious expressions on their faces.
Hermione got slightly worried, they weren’t at Hogwarts anymore, they wouldn’t need help with homework.
“Well, what is it?” she asked a bit impatiently.
“First of all, I turned to you because I trust that you value your true friend, my wonderful girlfriend Y/N,” he started and her worries went away, as he wouldn’t be making that kind of speech in an emergency.
So she grabbed her glass of pumpkin juice and sat down at the table and nodded, ready to listen.
“I trust that you value her dearly and therefore I trust that you’ll be able to keep a secret, to ensure a surprise for her isn’t ruined – we know she likes a good surprise, don’t we?” she nodded again and waved her hand to speed him up.
“You see, I want to propose.”
Hermione’s eyes nearly popped out as she choked slightly on her juice, but he continued,
“I’ve got the ring, I think I know what she likes, but I wanted to make sure with you. Maybe you know better when it comes to that, maybe she said something…” he said pulling a box out of his pocket, as Hermione was coming to terms with the fact that he was indeed being serious.
“Like that she would really prefer to elope with me,” added Fred, but George ignored him.
He came up to Hermione and showed her the ring, which she admired for a moment.
“I think it’s beautiful, it’ll be perfect for her,” she stated simply, getting a bit emotional thinking about her friend being proposed to.
“Great… awesome…” he mumbled, a bit more to himself and put the box safely away.
As if on cue, when he started pacing, you turned the corner and came into the kitchen. You heard Fred say something you couldn’t quite decipher then everyone went quiet and looked at you when they noticed.
You chuckled a bit awkwardly, “What are you three up to, talking about me behind my back?” you joked. George swallowed, his mind blank, Hermione murmured something, trying to come up with a good excuse. “Merlin’s beard you were!” you opened your mouth in shock and slight amusement. Fred snorted and George laughed, “Don’t be silly love, we were just talking.”
“Yeah, the three of you never talk on your own.” you pointed your finger between them.
“I was just asking about the shop. Their last inventions were pretty great so I wondered if maybe they’re working on something new” Hermione picked up George’s attempts and Fred wiggled his eyebrows smugly.
“If you say so, gits.” you waved off, not really caring even if they were talking about you as the concept of them planning something for you, let alone a proposal, hasn’t crossed your mind.
The surprise has not been ruined.

Girls’ Night
Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
BAU Ladies x Fem!Reader
A/N: Based on this scene in s7ep16 “A Family Affair” (I almost cried Bc I thought I couldn’t find the gifs). We were ROBBED not seeing anything from their girls' night ! So I wrote a lil one-shot about what “happened” during their wild night w/ reader ofc. I hope y’all enjoy it & slide some feedback <3
“Wow you look amazing,” Spencer complimented once y/n emerged from the bathroom. After many cancellations because of cases, she and the BAU ladies were finally having their girls’ night. Penelope had insisted and convinced them to check out a new salsa club that recently opened near her apartment. Spencer had volunteered to watch Henry the couple hours they’d be gone.
Y/n finished putting on her earrings and sauntered over to Spencer who was watching her at the door. “Thanks again for doing this Spence,” she said before leaning up to give him a kiss. She intended for it to be a quick one, but as she was pulling away, Spencer had wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her back in for more.
After finally breaking apart for air, y/n’s thumb lightly traced across his bottom lip as they gazed into each other’s eyes, neither one of them pulling apart. “You’re gonna be the reason I’m late.”
Spencer sighed and gave her one last kiss before they headed over to JJ’s. The car ride was quick, even though Spencer had insisted on taking the “scenic route” so he could spend a couple more minutes alone with y/n. When they finally arrived at the house, not even 10 seconds had passed after they rang the doorbell before it quickly swung open.
“The lovebirds have finally arrived,” Penelope announced as she opened the door and ushered them in.
Emily waltzed out of the kitchen holding two shot glasses in her hands. With a big smile on her face, she handed y/n one of them. “Yessssss, we can finally get this party started!” she cheered as she watched y/n give her a fake hurt look as she grabbed the shot glass.
“You started pre-gaming without me I see,” y/n teased before tossing back the shot. Spencer’s eyes widened for a brief second as he watched y/n take the shot without a question. He’d never seen her drunk so he wondered how big her alcohol tolerance was.
“Hey you girlies can’t be too drunk before we get to where we’re going,” Penelope whined, snatching the second shot glass out of Emily’s hand.
Emily’s pleas for it back were interrupted when JJ finally walked out the living room. “Okay, so I got Henry in his little playpen watching Bubble Guppies. That should keep him pretty entertained for a while.”
“Great because our uber is here,” Penelope excitedly announced, opening the door to head out, Emily and y/n following behind her.
“We’ll only be gone for a couple hours. Please don’t hesitate to call me if you need anything,” JJ said as she headed out the door.
Seeing the worry and hesitation in her eyes, Spencer gently ushered her out the door. “I have 3 PhDs, I think I can handle my godson. Go have fun and be safe!” Watching them pile into the car, Spencer stuck his head out the door and waved bye. A hint of worry and curiosity entered his mind about what kind of trouble they would get into.
JJ sighed once she got into the car. Sensing her worry, y/n gave her hand a gentle squeeze. The car ride was filled with JJ, y/n, and Emily profiling their driver while Penelope ranted about a woman she met in the grocery store the other day. They hadn’t realized they’d arrived until the driver hit the breaks a little too hard. Maybe he’d heard their whispers about him.
“You girlies are gonna love this place,” Penelope squealed as she got out of the car.
“As long as they got some hotties, good music, and alcohol, I’ll love any club you take me to,” Emily said as they entered, she had already starting checking out the club goers. “I’ll grab a table for us.”
“I’ll grab the drinks!” Penelope said, disappearing into the crowd. JJ and y/n looked at each other, silently communicating who should go with who. JJ going with Emily while y/n followed Penelope towards the bar.
As they were waiting for the bartender to make them the special drink of the night, y/n felt an arm wrap around her waist. She instantly shoved it off and spun around to face the stranger. Before she could even tell him to buzz off, Penelope stepped in front of her. “She has a mans already, back off! You’re no where as cute as our Boy Genius,” Penelope barked at the man, staring him down until he left.
“Aw my savior,” y/n awed as she gave Penelope a kiss on the cheek.
After finally getting their drinks and wrestling through all the sweaty bodies, y/n and Penelope found Emily and JJ at a table.
“Finally! I thought Jayje and I were going to have to send out a search party for you two.” Emily handed one of the glasses to JJ and raised hers in the air. “To girls’ night! Who knows when we’ll ever have another one.”
“To girls’ night!” they cheered, toasting.
“What did you even get us?” JJ coughed after taking a sip of the drink.
Unfazed by the strength of the drink, Emily drank every last drop. “All that matters is it looks pretty and tastes good.”
“The bartender said the green fairy was the special of the night, so I figure we go big or go home,” Penelope shrugged before downing her drink. “Now c’mon ladies, show me that them hips don’t lie,” she said as she headed towards the dance floor.
Y/n hesitated for a second before downing her drink and dancing towards Penelope, who was already mixed into the crowd.
JJ took one last sip of her drink and gave Emily her best puppy eyes. “Em come on, let’s join them,” she pleaded.
Emily sighed loudly, not being able to resist JJ, especially her puppy eyes. “The only salsa I want right now belongs on chips,” Emily groaned as she let JJ drag her towards the dance floor.
After a couple green fairies later and some sloppy dancing all night, they somehow managed to all stumble back to Penelope’s apartment. They barely made it inside before the four of them immediately collapsed from exhaustion.
“I just waaannt y’aaaall to know,... that I lurv you biiiiiitches. I’d step on anyoneee for youu beautiful angeelss,” Emily slurred before passing out on the floor in front of the couch.
“I f-feel like I wasss uh s‘posed tooo do som’thang. Sleeeeeep sounds better though,” JJ mumbled before dozing off.
The next morning, while they were all peacefully sleeping, JJ was woken up by a buzzing. She couldn’t tell if the buzzing was from her head or something else. Feeling around the couch, her hand was met with a cool object. She held it up to her face, waiting for her vision to clear up. 7:12. Seeing the time, instantly she remembered what she forgot. She sat up and threw a pillow at Emily to wake her.
“Oh no no no! I told Spencer we’d be back in a couple of hours. I left him all alone with Henry!” JJ panicked before running to the bathroom, feeling sick.
“Please. Stop. Yelling. My head is killing me,” Emily groggily muttered.
“I’m sure Will relieved him of his babysitting duties once he got home last night,” Penelope reassured, clutching her head while she went to grab some water. She didn’t make it far into her kitchen before she walked into something, well someone.
“I’m never drinking that much again. My back and my head hurts,” y/n groaned, waking up on the kitchen floor. Penelope helped her stand up before handing her a glass of water.
The next hour went by in a chaotic blur. From each of them throwing up multiple times, JJ’s panicked phone calls to Will about Henry, Emily tripping over Penelope’s shoe collection, and fighting y/n for the cereal, they somehow all managed to make it in time to cheer on Hotch. Slowly, all four of them walked towards the finish line gates. Each wearing their comfiest clothes and biggest sunglasses. They all looked like they’d been hit by a car, and sounded like it too with all the groans they were making.
“Well well well, look who finally made it. We thought y’all weren’t gonna show up till the race was finished,” Morgan teased, Jack sitting on top of his shoulders.
“Couple hours! Couple hours! ‘Oh Spence don’t worry, we’ll only be gone a couple hours.’ And you all didn’t come back home until sunrise!”
“Why are you yelling?” JJ muttered clutching her head.
“Y/n make your man stop,” Emily pleaded as she leaned on the race’s barricade.
Realizing she and her friends have suffered enough, Y/n wrapped her arms around Spencer’s neck and whispered something in his ear before giving him a quick kiss and turning back towards the race. No one heard what she said except Spencer, whose face immediately turned red. He remained quiet the rest of the race, only until he spotted Hotch reaching the finish line.
“So what’d you say to Pretty Boy to get him to shut up?”

So the Foreign Affairs finale is in 3 days and we all know that there is no way our remaining questions can be answered in one chapter, but – I’m sad & salty about it, so I thought I’d actually make a list of all those questions just to REALLY hammer it home.
What exactly is Winston’s part in all of this? (I personally don’t think you can argue that Winston doesn’t have a part in it, but even if he doesn’t, we’re left with the questions of a] why he’s so desperate to know who MC’s LI is and b] why he’s so desperate to cancel the Peace Summit)
What’s actually going to happen at the Peace Summit? Are we going to see the magical repair of Ardona’s & Rutherland’s relationship, or is it actually going to go as terribly and violently as all the foreshadowing claims? And if so, how is that going to get resolved in one chapter? Are our diplomacy points with our friends going to mean anything at all?
Is MC’s mother definitely going to be re-elected now that Lewis Wright is discredited? Or does he still have a trick up his sleeve/is Rutherland more than a 2-party democracy?
What was actually the point of the masked attack on MC? I understand Wright wanting to discredit MC and their mother with a scandal, but why did he think that throwing red paint on MC and leaking photos of it to the press would advance that aim? It came across as a warning more than a staged undermining, but what was it a warning about? Is it just bad writing? Or is it a sign that there’s something deeper going on? (*cough cough* Winston *cough cough*)
On a completely different note – our MC and LI can’t live in secret forever. So will their relationship come out? Will they purposefully reveal it to the world, or will it get leaked? Will it be accepted? Will they have to fight for their right to make free choices despite their patriotic duty, which has been a major theme of this book but hasn’t really gone anywhere, or will they be forced to choose between politics and love? Basically, will my MC get to marry Tatum Mendoza, please and thank you, I know that isn’t the main point of this book but I think he’s been dreaming of it since he was about 12 and would gladly leave the rest of Rutherland behind for it.
Speaking of relationships, what about Dionne and Peter? What about Henri and Alexei/Evelyn? What about Blaine’s relationship with their parents? What about – ?
What about Ayna’s father? And is MC’s mother ever going to introduce healthcare reforms, and has MC’s view of her as politically progressive actually been skewed by proximity? This is a REALLY interesting theme that was brought up in chapter 13 and has literally never been touched on since, and I’m still mad about the wasted potential tbh.
You know what else was brought up in chapter 13 and has literally never been touched on since? The Dean’s and Professor Masako’s odd behaviour around MC. What was all that about? Was it just a red herring? Will we ever know?
In chapter 1 of Foreign Affairs – literally in one of the first dialogue boxes of the entire book – MC tells us this:
This is the question that frames the entire book. Away from Rutherland for the first time, MC is figuring out who they are and who they want to be, and the point of Foreign Affairs is for them to get to someplace meaningful on that journey. So my biggest question is: what is MC heading towards in their future? Will they stay at Vancross? Will they stay in politics at all? Do they have clearer values, clearer goals, clearer ideals, than when they first arrived on that plane? Will they – and by extension, we – get to make that final, ultimate choice? Because if we don’t... the whole book has fallen apart. And I’m not mad at PB for it, because I’m pretty sure it’s more about Nexon’s profit quotas than about them, but... I’m just tired. It’s been 18 months now since Nightbound was cancelled, and you’d think that would have been long enough to figure out a balance between steamy romances that ‘keep the lights on’ and more in-depth stories told in full. But honestly, things have gotten worse instead of better. And I know it’s not the end of the world, I know there’s more to life than an app game, but... it’s still just really sad 😥

Eavesdropping
cedric diggory x reader
summary: at the Quidditch World Cup, y/n meets cedric diggory, who sweeps her right off her feet. but little do they know, her friends are watching the scenes unfold and have a lot to say on the matter.
warnings: slight mention of food, bickering, & i think that's it! (gif is not mine, credit to owner!)
requested? yes/no
words: 2k
The morning of the Quidditch World Cup was nothing short of eventful in the Weasley household. Coming from a wizarding family herself, y/n, knew how important the cup was and had been waiting all summer for the match. Being close as you can get with the Weasley Family, she had been invited to accompany them to the game. It was exciting to say the least. Y/n and Ginny could hardly sleep the night before just from pure adrenaline. However, morning approached quickly and abruptly as ever.
Ginny and y/n were awoken up by an already dressed Hermione, who aggressively shook them awake. “Let’s go, you two,” Hermione shouted, throwing open the curtains. “Mrs. Weasley says that breakfast is ready! And I have to go up and wake the boys.”
Ginny let out a groan and flopped back down on her bed; y/n let out a small giggle, getting up from the fortress of blankets that covered her the whole night. She looked at Ginny, still star fished on her bed, “Come on, Gin,” y/n spoke gently. “We got a quidditch match to go to.” And in nearly an instant she jolted up from her spot and threw on clothes as quickly as possible.
Ginny and y/n descended down the stairs as one, dress and ready to go. Mrs. Weasley greeted them with a kiss on the forehead each as they sat down at the table for breakfast. Mr. Weasley’s voiced bellowed through the first floor, “Good morning, ladies! Fine day, it is! Excited?”
“Excited, Dad? Like that’s even a question,” spoke Ginny with a mouth full of food.
“We could hardly sleep last night!” y/n joined in, serving herself. “Who are we meeting anyway, Mr. Weasley?”
“Amos Diggory and his son, Cedric. We work in the ministry together. I believe your father knows him as well,” Mr. Weasley said with a smile.
Molly turned around to the table, “Cedric, name sounds awfully familiar,” She pondered, then a lightbulb went off in her head. “Oh, yes. He is in the same year as the twins, y/n. The year just below you, I am sure you have seen him around.”
Y/n nodded, not recalling his name. Hogwarts was a big school after all. Molly called upstairs to the boys, yelling that it was time to go. A very sleepy Ron and Harry walked down the stairs, followed by an agitated Hermione. Ginny looked towards y/n, letting out a laugh. The lot of them gathered their belongings and said their goodbyes to Mrs. Weasley. Then, the eight of them: Mr. Weasley, Fred, George, Ron, Harry, Hermione, Ginny and y/n, set off to where the portkey was placed to get to the Quidditch Stadium.
They weren’t walking long when two men came into view. Mr. Weasley turned to the sleep deprived teenagers behind him, “There they are, the Diggory’s! Alright gather around everyone.”
Mr. Diggory and Mr. Weasley approached one another, shaking hands with grins on their faces. Then Mr. Weasley turned to Cedric, and suddenly y/n couldn’t breathe, because how did she not know that this boy existed before today. His figure was lean and fit, his brown curls fell gently around his face and his eyes were the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. And Cedric was thinking the exact same thing, because he came up to her quickly after greeting his father’s friend.
“Hey,” Cedric said, looking deep into y/n’s eyes. “I’m Cedric, lovely to meet you.”
“y/n,” she said, extending her hand for him to shake it. Everyone stopped to watch the scene in front of them play out. It was like wandless magic was happening before their very eyes. Sparks flew and the six of y/n’s friends hated every second of it.
“And just like that,” Ginny sighed. “Leaving me for a stocky, Hufflepuff boy. I will admit, I am heartbroken.”
“Oh, sod off, Ginny,” George turned to her.
“Yeah, he’s in our year and we don’t even get to talk to him. We’re the ones who should be complaining.” Fred said, agreeing with his twin.
“Wait, I thought we hated him after what he pulled in the quidditch match last year,” Harry spoke up.
The twins turned simultaneously to him. “Thanks, Harry,” said Fred.
“We almost forgot about that,” George nodded. “We’re with Ginny on this one.”
Hermione rolled her eyes at the lot of them, “Guys, just look at them.” They all whipped their heads around to see Cedric and y/n smiling and laughing at each other. Y/n looked shyly at the ground, her face heating up from whatever was said and Cedric looked down at her with the biggest smile anybody had ever seen.
“Gross.” Ron stated.
“Pathetic.” Ginny agreed.
“I think it’s kind of cute,” smiled Hermione.
Mr. Weasley clapped his hands together, gathering everyone’s attention. They all began walking to the portkey together, Cedric and y/n trailing along behind everyone on their journey. The two got along so well, it was hard to believe they had never met before today. It was pure magic.
Soon after arriving to the portkey and using it to take them to the Quidditch World Cup, the parties went their separate ways. The girls gathered in one tent, and the boys in another. When they put all of their bags and such down, Ginny breathed a sigh of relief, “Finally!”
“Didn’t know you were that desperate to get away from your bothers, Gin,” said y/n with a smirk on her face.
“My brothers!” Ginny gaped at her. “Try Cedric. The way he looked at you, disgusting.”
Hermione playfully slapped Ginny, laughing. “We just mean, that it’s pretty clear he likes you.”
“Oh, no,” y/n reassured. “It’s not like that at all! You see, our dads work in the ministry together, so we had a bunch to talk about. You got it all wrong.”
Ginny rolled her eyes and Hermione smiled wide. Their friend was so oblivious, and it was just too cute. After a few hours of playing games and betting on what would happen in the match, it was time to walk over to the stadium.
Once inside they all made their way to the Minister’s box, which had the most spectacular view anyone had ever seen. The group of them, including Cedric, made their way to look at all of the fun souvenirs. Y/n and Cedric wandered off, leaving the rest of the crew to gather around and watch their interactions.
“Cedric’s pretty cool, I reckon,” Ron said eyeing the two down, as they walked over to one of the small stands selling flags. “Almost too cool for y/n, I’ll say.” However, Ron was met by a chorus of disapproving grunts.
“Are you joking, Ron. y/n is clearly way too cool for him. I mean, he’s really only got his good looks going for him.” The crowd of them watched as Cedric bought y/n a small rosette. “Okay, and he’s really nice.” Then he carefully pinned it onto y/n’s jacket for her. “And he’s a gentleman? Godric, could this get any worse!” Ginny practically screamed.
“We lost her so quickly,” sighed Fred. “Gone forever, I reckon.”
“Shush! She’s coming back!” whispered Hermione. They all shuffled back to face the pitch as y/n took her seat next to Hermione and Ginny. “So, how’s Cedric?”
“He’s really sweet, ‘Mione,” y/n smiled to herself. “A really great guy.”
“Sooo, would you hypothetically date him?” asked Ginny, in her attempt to be nonchalant.
“Ginny!” y/n gasped. “I mean– I don’t know. I just met him!”
Ginny smiled at her, “Well, you never know!” She shrugged her shoulders, turning to the Quidditch pitch. The World Cup had finally begun. Cheers rang amongst the crowds as famous players began soaring around the pitch. It was unbelievable, but perhaps Cedric Diggory found the girl sitting just a few rows shy of him even more entertaining than the match happening before him.
After the incredible match between Bulgaria and Ireland, the families headed back to their tents for the night. They all gathered around one another talking about the highlights of the game, speaking excitedly amongst themselves. Though it wasn’t that long before Cedric found the group and began chatting away with y/n, going slightly ahead of the others. They looked so happy together, two teenagers head over heels for each other.
The two stopped a few feet away from the Weasley’s tents, where they stood chatting a bit more, not wanting the night to end. Fred, George, Ron, Harry, Hermione and Ginny all crowded around behind a tent to hear what was going on between the two.
“Are they really that oblivious?” asked Ron.
“You’re one to talk, Ron,” snapped Ginny.
“Oi, what’s that supposed to mean?” he barked back at his little sister.
Ginny rolled her eyes far back into her head, “Oh, honestly, Ronald.”
Fred waved his hand in front of Ginny and Ron, quieting them, “Pipe down, you two. We’re trying to listen.” The younger siblings obeyed, sneaking closer to where Cedric and y/n stood. A faint conversation was heard between the two.
“I had a great time with you today, y/n,” Cedric spoke softly.
“Me, too,” she smiled sweetly back at him. “Thanks, for everything.”
“Let’s say you can pay me back by letting me take you on a date to Hogsmeade when we get back to school.” He grinned, a rosy tint glowing on his cheeks.
“I’d like that a lot.” y/n whispered.
However, before the conversation could be heard any further a soft ouch escaped Ron’s lips. A chorus of shushes were sent his way immediately. Ron laid on the floor, clutching his right foot. He gaped at his friends and siblings, “Not my fault, Ginny stood on my foot! I think she broke my bloody toe!”
“I did not such thing!” she scream-whispered back.
The lot of them turned around at the two arguing shushing the again. Harry, who was intently watching the scene, scolded them, “Pipe down, it’s getting good!”
“Well go on, tell me!” Ron said back.
“Okay, okay,” said Harry. “Well, he just took her hand. Now he’s got out some parchment and –what’s he writing? – oh, he’s writing down his address so she can write to him. She took the slip and said she would write to him. And now. And now–“
“And now what, Harry! You can’t leave me hanging like this!” Ron exclaimed.
“He’s leaning in! Merlin, he’s leaning in!” Ginny shouted. The whole group stood on their toes, anxiously awaiting what would happen next. They we’re practically pulling out their hair watching the scene in front of them unfold.
“He kissed her!” stated Harry, proudly.
“On the cheek?” George said as more of a question than a statement.
Fred looked confused beyond belief, “Seriously, who kisses a girl on the cheek?”
“A gentleman,” Hermione and Ginny swooned together.
But, all six of them were pulled out of their trance by footsteps heading in their direction. y/n was coming back to where the tent. They all suddenly jolted out of their huddling stance and attempted to act as normally as they possibly could in the few second they had.
“What’s up with you lot?” y/n asked, laughing and rejoining the awkward looking group, “And why is Ron sat on the floor?” Ron gave Ginny a look before rising to his feet.
Fred cleared his throat, “So, then what’s the story?”
George continued, “With Cedric we mean.”
Y/n raised her eyebrow, before letting out small giggle. “What’s the matter, you couldn’t hear the rest of our conversation?”
The six of them stopped breathing and looked at y/n with pleading eyes. How did she know? Hermione gasped and Ron shook his head in disbelief. Harry was the first to pipe up, “Well, we were just –you see we were only. You know,” he stumbled through his words. He looked at his friends, “Seriously, no help?”
Y/n threw her head back laughing, because they were just so obvious. “I’ll tell you all what, after we go on our date at Hogsmeade, you’ll all be the first to know.”
And it wasn’t long after that when her friends all embraced her, with laughter coming far too easily. Sometimes, eavesddropping does come in handy!

Requests and those prompt pages you shared make me go full on thot...but soft
Frankie with "when one of them has never had a proper birthday party for whatever reason, and their lover makes it their mission to give them the best day ever, followed by “you didn’t have to do all this for me. just being with you is enough.” “i know. but i thought you deserved ?’’ and their lover smiles, a kiss is shared"
And maybe the dialogue prompt "I wanted to say I love you for the first time without stuttering, but that failed"
Is that too much? Too weird? I'd be happy for either one :)
soft thots are the best thots no one can convince me otherwise 😌😌😌
i added a lil... somethin somethin to this bc i honestly just couldn’t resist.
--
frankie always lets his birthday pass quietly. it’s been that way since you’ve met him--he usually preferred a quiet night out with his friends, maybe ordering some nice meal in, but never anything big.
he firmly resisted your suggestions of throwing a party in celebration for the first two years you were together, not adamantly, but with enough gentle insistence that you knew to back off. you could tell that there was some weight there, something unspoken that made him dark and moody during the week that lead up to the day, but you figured he’d let you know on his own time, if ever.
so you’re more than a little nervous for the surprise dinner you had spent the past month planning. you’d coordinated his whole crew to fly back to Texas for his birthday weekend, figured maybe after the year Frankie had had it would be a nice break, if not to celebrate then to distract.
you made the delta force boys well aware of it, that if he didn’t want to do anything official the lot of your would play along without insisting anything more. the sparklers and cake you were hiding in the kitchen was purely optional, depending on how you read Frankie’s mood after the surprise reveal.
you’re all nerves for the entire day leading up to the party. luckily, Frankie is out of the house for most of it, and you told him you’d take him to a fancy dinner so he’d come pick you up from the apartment straight from work, already dressed in the suit jacket and button-down you’d picked out for him.
the boys and their dates help you with the last of the preparations--you’ve spent most of the day cooking, so they set up the table while you change into a pair of heels and Frankie’s favorite sundress of yours. you take one calming breath before stepping out of your bedroom and back into the fray.
the click of the lock sliding back is the only warning you get as Frankie shoulders the door open. his hands are busy with something and he has his back turned to you as he throws his keys on the side-table by the door.
“hey, sweetheart--listen i called the restaurant about our reservation and they said they didn’t have anything down under your name so i made something for--”
and he freezes, eyes wide with utter disbelief at the scene in front of him.
you’re in the center of the gathered group, made up of the delta force crew as well as some other friends from work. the house is warm with the smell of dinner, with a few, sparse decorations mostly consisting of candles and thin, paper wall hangings.
you give him your biggest possible smile as you and your guests burst out in a synchronous:
“happy birthday!”
the grin Frankie gifts you with is enough to have made all the anxious planning worth it. he crosses the distance between the two of you in a few quick strides. cradled in the crook of his arm is a bouquet of flowers, which he hands to you with a still-shocked “thank you, baby,” after kissing your cheek. then the boys start crowding around him in a mass of back-clapping hugs and loud laughter.
once he makes his rounds to greet everyone and finishes the beer Santi placed in his hand as soon as he handed you the bouquet, Frankie places a hand at the small of your back and ducks his head to speak directly into your ear.
“can i talk to you for a second, on the balcony?”
there’s a quavering quality of seriousness in his tone that catches you utterly off-guard. you lick you lips and try to feign a confident smile as you nod, leading the way. you can practically hear your own heartbeat, a frantic pulse in your ears.
he clears his throat after closing the sliding glass doors behind himself. your eyes widen further as you realize he’s flexing his hands in that way that he does when he’s trying to get them to stop shaking.
your heart drops to the pit of your stomach as he guides you away from the doors and into the sequestered corner of the balcony, where you’d spent the better half of last week replanting your pollinator bushes in preparation for the summer. the bulbed fairy lights he’d helped you install last summer were still holding up, casting the balcony in warm hues of pink and orange. your brain seems to work on over-time, utterly unsure of what the fuck could possibly be going on.
“first, i just want to thank you for planning all of this. it um--i really wasn’t expecting it, so, surprise well planned and all,” he gives a nervous laugh, rubbing his hand over the lower half of his face as his eyes flick towards the flood of light emanating from the living room on the other side of the sliding doors. in the quiet that follows, you can barely hear the chatter of music and conversation from the people inside because you genuinely can’t read the pained expression on Frankie’s face right now and that has literally never happened before and honestly you’re utterly terrified.
because it sure as hell felt like he was about to give you an ultimatum.
so you do what you always do whenever you get freaked out. you start to babble.
“listen, i--i’m really sorry, i know you usually like to keep things low key and everything but Santi texted me that he was thinking of coming up and surprising you so then i thought that maybe i could reach out to the whole team too but i can totally tell them to leave and you guys can just do your own thing and--” you cut yourself off because the look he’s giving you now is just confused. you take in a gulp of air, these next words just as rushed as the previous ones were. “please don’t break up with me.”
Frankie’s jaw hangs open for a second.
and then he starts laughing.
full-body laughing, his face breaking out into that great big smile that you were so relieved to see not even a half-hour ago. but now you’re as confused as he once was.
“i was... i was going to do this later tonight, over dinner but, given the circumstances...” he’s trying to fish something out of his suit jacket’s pocket.
the realization slams into you like a brick wall.
because holy shit he’s trying to fish something out of the suit jacket pocket.
you half realize what’s happening and you half don’t, because he’s balancing a small velvet box in the palm of his hand which he holds in the space between the two of you like he’s cradling a small bird and holy fuck you were absolutely in no way prepared for this of all things.
you think he knows as much because when you look up at him with tear-filled eyes, your hand raised to your mouth in shock, he has a bit of a sheepish look on his face.
“i know it’s a lot,” he clears his throat. “and you don’t have to say yes right away but i just... i wanted to let you know that if you wanted this, it would make me the luckiest man in the world to be able to give it to you. whenever you’re ready and i--i’d love to be able to celebrate this,” he opens the box. the ring is beautiful, simple but delicate and understated and perfect. absolutely perfect. “to celebrate us around this time of year, too. i’d love that more than anything.”
“i--Frankie,” you rip your gaze from the ring in his palm, lip wobbling as your tears begin to fall. christ, you had no idea how full your heart would feel. you thought, in fantasy, that you would but it was nothing compared to this. “Frankie, i wanted tonight to--”
“you don’t have to say anything now, if you don’t want to,” his words are as rushed as you feel, a bit frantic. “i understand if it’s too much for right i just thought i should make my intentions--”
you shut him up with a kiss.
“yes,” your voice is infinitely firmer than you expected it to be, you kiss him again, as if it could serve as punctuation. “yes, yes--a million times, yes.”
he laughs against your mouth in turn, wrapping both arms around your waist and lifting you up in the air without breaking the kiss.
placing you gently on the ground, both your and Frankie’s hands are shaking so hard that he can barely put the ring on you. it sits on your ring-finger perfectly. you can’t bring yourself to take your eyes off of it for more than a second. neither can he.
someone turns the music up inside, the heightened volume of chatter is the only thing to break your combined reverie.
Frankie tucks you into his side with an arm slung over your shoulders, kissing the crown of your head. there’s a rare ease to his posture that you can already see yourself getting used to.
“let’s see if they notice,” he whispers in your ear with a mischievous wink. you don’t think you’ve ever seen his eyes so bright. grinning, you lean further into his side. the two of you step back into the living room.

I saw a few people say that they wanted fatou to be the one to go see Kieu my to confort her, so this is it. Enjoy :)
(english isn't my first language so sorry for any mistakes)
Sunday, 18:05, Kieu my's apartment
She was a wreck. Kieu my had tried distracting herself as much as she could today but nothing seemed to work and when she saw Nora's stories she couldn't handle being alone anymore. She had texted Zoe about five (5) minutes ago and was now waiting in her room, on her bed, while watching Fatou's instagram stories over and over and over again. She was full on crying in her pyjamas and she knew it probably wasn't healthy to stalk her ex but she couln't help it. At least she looks happy, she thought.
----------------------------------------------
Sunday, 18:00, fatou's house
Laughs filled fatou's room. The cashqueens had moved to the skater's room after they had finished cleaning up the kitchen. They were talking about Ava's birthday that was coming up and how they were going to throw the biggest, most covid-friendly, party ever.
"honestly, I just want to spend time with you girls." Ava said, smiling and looking at her friends.
"well, maybe we could do something like friendsgiving, you know with friends only and a cozy little vibe" Nora offered, looking at the cashqueens with raised eyebrows.
The memories of that time came flooding in Fatou's mind. How she was so ready to confess her feelings to the girl, how she had ended up crying and yelling 'Love is a fucking asshole' with her friends. She had tried not thinking about Kieu my but to no avail. She seemed to be everywhere, in every topic, in every memory. Her heart ached at the thoughts. So she quickly tried to focus on the conversation happening instead of her ex, who seemed to be clearly over her.
"yeah it could be fun." Mailin said looking at Ava for approval. "What do you think Fatou?" She asked
"A birthday party with my best friends? On a friday night? Hell yeah I'm in." Fatou said laughing. "And maybe we could do a jamming session or a karaoke sort of thing" The cashqueens nodded at her idea and they went on with their conversation.
A phone rang, cutting them off. "Sorry girls, it's Zoe. I'll be right back" Nora said standing up and heading towards the door but the second she's out she walks back in, phone still in hand. She looks at Fatou. "She wants to talk yo you." Nora said, handing her the phone. Fatou looked at her amused but took the phone and walked out of the room.
"Zoe?" She said holding the phone to her ear.
"Fatou, hi. I'm sorry to bother you but I'm in a crisis and you're the only that can save me." Zoe said at the other end. Fatou hesitated for awhile.
"I'd be happy to help... With whatever you're in a crisis with" she answered still confused.
"it's more of a who..."
"what are you talking about, Zoe?"
"look, Im gonna be as honest as possible without being mean but.." she stopped talking for a second.
"just get to the point please."
"okay fine, you and Kieu my are idiots and I'm tired of you idiots not talking about your problems, like some silly idiots in love." Zoe got out in one (1) breath.
"I'm not an idiot" Fatou said. "And you were there, Kieu my clearly said I should stay away." Just saying her name hurt at this point.
"oh, Fatou.. She is hurting and in her mind it's easier to push you away than to actually talk to you again. She's scared of getting hurt more."
The silence was awkward but she didn't know what to say. So what does this mean? She thought.
"it means that right now she's a wreck and she asked me to come over but I'm done waiting for you two to figure it out because it is infuriating at this point." Zoe answered almost out of breath. Shit I said that out loud.
"I don't get it what do you want me to do? And why do you sound so exhausted?" She asked still not understanding anything that the blond was trying to say.
"because I'm coming over to your place to pick you up so that I can drag your ass to Kieu my's"
"what?! No Zoe I really don't think that's a good idea okay, last time I tried to talk to her I-" Fatou got cut off.
"Fatou listen to me. Kieu my vu is a mess and she's trying really hard to play it cool but she can't right now. She's been stalking you on insta for days, it's embarrassing. I know you guys had a huge fight at the party but that was stupid and I'm deciding to ignore it. You two need to talk and make up. She didn't cheat on you and you know it. She was hurt and so were you. The point is you're both in love with each other and everybody knows it except the two of you!" Zoe yelled out loud enough for Fatou to pull away from the phone. Her words were sinking in. Zoe was Kieu my's best friend, she had no reason to lie.
"okay." Fatou answered.
"okay?"
"I'm gonna go see her and tell her everything"
"great, you do that. I'll be there in five. Byee!" Zoe hung up. Fatou was breathless, her mind was in shambles at the thought that she could fix this. Zoe said Kieu my was in love with her... Wow. She knew she was in love with Kieu my but the idea that her feelings were reciprocated made her heart skip a beat.
She walked back to her room and opened the door, ready to tell her friends she was going to go get her girl but the moment she opened it the three girls stumbled back from it. Like they were listening in at the conversation, which they were. Fatou looked at her friends and locked eyes with Ava.
"we might have been listening a little bit." She heard Mailin say. The question was hanging in the air, Fatou was just waiting for the answer.
"go get her, chibi" Her best friend said, smiling fondly at her.
"really?" Fatou smiled brightly.
"YESSS!" The cashqueens said excitedly.
And so they waited for Zoe. She got to Fatou's pretty fast and they shared their goodbyes with the cashqueens. They got in Zoe's car and drove for about 10 minutes. The drive was pretty silent, only filled with small talk. Zoe was a really good friend, Fatou had noticed over time, How the girl had become more mature.
She was stressed to say the least. Rehearsing what she was going to say in her head over and over again. What if Kieu my pushed her away again? But the thoughts were pushed back. She was going to say everything she had to say and nothing was going to stop her even if she has to get her heart broken again.
The car stopped and Zoe cleared her throat. Fatou looked at the building and swallowed the lump in her throat. It seemed so much taller than last time.
"ready?" The blonde broke the silence.
"as i'll ever be" she answered.
They took the elevator. Zoe walked with her to the door and hugged her goodbye once they reached it. She said something along the lines of 'goodluck' but right now Fatou could only focus on the pounding of her heart.
She rang the doorbell and waited. She looked at the door intensely as if it would open faster. There were some noises coming from inside and then the door opened and there she was..
"Zoe thank god you're here, I can't..." Kieu my looked up from the ground and stopped dead in her tracks. She had been crying, Fatou could tell from her red eyes. Her hair was down and she was wearing confortable baggy clothes.
"Hi.." Fatou said smiling lightly, Looking at her and rocking on her heels.
"Fatou...hey" Kieu my's voice was small. She looked small and Fatou could see her eyes shining slightly. This was the real Kieu my, vulnerable and fragile Kieu my. But as soon as she appeared she was gone and her walls were back up. "What do you want?" Kieu my asked, her voice cracking a little a little bit.
"your soul~" Fatou answered, laughing quietly. Kieu my didn't look amused though. "To talk" she said more seriously.
"I- I thought I told you to stay away.. where's Zoe?" The ice queen's walls were cracking and her eyes looked everywhere but at Fatou.
"she drove me here" Fatou was still looking at Kieu my intensely hoping that she would catch her eyes.
"what do you want to talk about?"
"Us..." Fatou said and Kieu my opened her mouth as if to say something but Fatou continued. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for running away from my problems. I'm sorry for not talking to you but I want to, I really want to. I'm sorry for making you feel like you're just a distraction and like I don't care because I do care. So much.. about you, I mean. And I'm sorry for doubting you and I understand if I lost your trust but I'm ready to try everyday from now on to win it back. But most importantly I'm sorry for what I said. Because Kieu my, YOU are my world. And I miss you. And I get it if you don't want to be with me anymore but I just wanted you to know that I haven't given up on us and I won't, because I-" her heart skipped a few beats. Fatou took a deep breath in.
"I love you, Kieu my." She breathed out.
She was crying now and so was Kieu my. A few beats passed and Fatou was about to continue her heartfelt speech but Kieu my stopped her. She had been looking at Fatou like she had just been starstruck but now she was getting closer.
She placed a hand on Fatou's cheek and kissed her. Fatou let out a breath she knew she had been holding since the elevator door had opened. They both relax into the brief kiss andwhen they pull away they rest their forehead together. When Fatou opens her eyes, Kieu my is already looking at her. She wipes her tears aways with her thumb.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry." Fatou said after a moment of silence.
"stop apologizing, please" Kieu my laughed lightly. They were both smiling now. "You love me?" Kieu my asked, looking insecurely at Fatou.
"I love you and I'm never gonna stop saying it"
They giggled, feeling lost in the moment. Kieu my kissed her again, this time more firmly. They finally walked in the apartment still attached by their lips. The kiss quickly turned into more and Kieu my pushed Fatou against the door to close it behind them. Kieu my's hands were around the smaller girl's neck while hers were on Kieu my's waist.
After several minutes of just kissing to make up for their days apart they finally pulled away to catch their breath.
Kieu my looked at Fatou lovingly. "I'm sorry too... I shouldn't have ran away. And I'm sorry for being so cold to you."
"okay, can we both stop apologizing now." The small girl laughed. "And Kieu my?"
"yeah?"
Fatou took a step back and took the tall girl's hands. "Will you be my girlfriend?" She asked with her puppy eyes on full display.
"of course Fatou" they laughed and kieu my reached for Fatou and hugged her.
They hugged for a while. Living in the moment. Together
----------------------------------------------
Sunday, 19:37
Somehow they ended up in Kieu my's bed, cuddling. Kieu my was laying on Fatou's chest and played with her girlfriend's fingers. Fatou was telling her about how Ava and her had made up and how she found out she had dyscalculia.
"...And now I have to go ask if I can change from physics to biology."
"that could work. And then you'd just have to work for math and you'll be good to have your abi with us. That's great." Kieu my said, excited.
"yeah, the girls thought that too."
The silence was peaceful. Fatou looked down and smiled at her girlfriend. Kieu my was looking at her like she was looking at her whole entire world.
"what are you thinking about?" Fatou asked wiggling her eyebrows.
"I love you too, Fatou jallow."
Fatou flipped her girlfriend on her back and kissed her then and there.
"i love you" she kissed her again. "I love you" she kissed her nose and her forehead and her cheeks and anywhere on her face she could, and between every kiss she told her she loved her.
"stop!" Kieu my giggled when Fatou tickled her sides still kissind her face. She slowed down and looked at Kieu my lovingly. "What?"
"happy Valentine's day"
"happy Valentine's day indeed" Kieu my shot up to kiss her again.
The kisses were slow and Fatou made her way down to Kieu my's neck. She sucked on her neck like she had done the first time they had spent time together in her bed, leaving a small red mark there, as if to say: you're mine and I'm yours.
The moment was short lived when Kieu my's phone rang multiple time in a row. They both looked at it and then at each other. Fatou's eyes were pleading to let it go but Kieu my rolled her eyes and smiled, reaching for her phone. She laughed and put her hand on her eyes.
"what's up? Who is it?" Fatou asked still on top of her girlfriend.
"It's Zoe" She answered turning her phone towards Fatou. It was a row of texts with a lot of emojis. It read:
"So are you guys back together yet?"
"I was waiting in my car but I left after 30 min"
"You guys are my favorite couple💗💗"
"I hope you're not mad tho😘"
"I did my duty as your bff"
"love u Q!!💛💜💛💜"
"don't do anything I wouldn't do🤭😉"
"happy Valentine's day babe😗✌️"
Fatou laughed at the blonde's childish texts.
"what did she tell you exactly?" Kieu my asked still hiding her face with her arm.
"nothing really.." fatou answered "Is it true that you were stalking me though?" She smiled when the tall girl hid under the covers.
"oh my god, this is so embarrassing! It's just because I missed you, okay?"
"you're so cute when you're flustered"
Fatou grabbed the covers and pulled them down untill she could see Kieu my's face.
"I missed you too" Fatou admitted
"Is it true you had a crush on me?"
"is it true YOU had a crush on me?" Fatou shot back, pulling the covers down and tickling Kieu my's sides.
And just like that they spent the rest of the evening together. Cuddling, kissing but most importantly, actually talking.
That's how you do it. I meant to post it yesterday but then Nhungi (Kieu my's actress) went live on Tiktok and then I fell asleep and today my mom decided to have some quality family time and forced me to go on a three (3) hour walk. But here it is anyway. Hope you enjoy. sorry if there are any mistakes. constructive criticism is always appreciated
(I actually don't know if Zoe has a car but in my head she does and sorry if I forgot other things)

ready or not - j.jk
genre: friends to lovers, enemy to lovers, (almost a slow burn?), a mix of everything lol character pairing: jeon jungkook 9bts) x female oc warnings: not really any lol just angsty fluff kinda stuff word count: 5.4k (it’s alot) authors note: i wrote this months ago and it’s not finished but i can finish it if yall want? let me know :)
______
(prompts from @im-here-to-help-you-all-write)
“i think the longer you look at it, the worse it gets.” “yeah, kinda like your face.”
“i need your help.” “holy shit, i never thought i’d hear you say that.’ “please don’t rub it in right now.”
“i don’t feel like i’m ready for this yet” “you’re going to have to be, because we’re out of time.”
you can’t believe you actually had to do this. the last person you ever wanted to look at was your only shot at getting out of the situation you brought upon yourself. you had originally counted on one of your other friends to help you out, but of course, life never seemed to work out the way you wanted it to.
“jin, please. can’t you just cancel and come with me?” you begged, watching as your older companion continued to chop away at some vegetables.
“you know i would love to help bamboozle your family with my impeccable acting skills, but unfortunately, i do have a business to run. this weekend is a big deal for the restaurant and joon would kill me if i left him alone to handle such a thing. and besides, we all know joon can’t toast bread without having to call the fire department first,” jin laughs. you laugh softly, knowing jin had a point. poor namjoon had amazing business skills, but unfortunately that means he lacks in the cooking department.
“i guess you’re right,” you mumble begrudgingly.
“why not ask jimin if he can go?” jin asks, sliding the chopped vegetables into a pot.
“my mom knows him, she’ll know something isn’t right. and besides, he and hobi are going to a dance camp for school,” you shrug.
“and tae? yoongi?” jin asks.
“he’s got that test retake for his photography class and yoongs has an audition for an entertainment company in gangnam,” you sigh. you’re really proud of all your friends and the successes they have, but you really wished they could’ve helped you in your time of need. but you couldn’t be that selfish, so maybe you had to admit defeat.
“you know, you could just ask jungkook,” jin asks nonchalantly.
“you know i can’t do that,” you answer bluntly, refusing to even entertain the idea.
“i mean, you could,” jin laughs, putting the lid on the pot and onto the stove top, turning to you afterwards.
“jin, you know i can’t. he is the last person on earth i would ask to help me. i would rather die of embarrassment than to ask him for his help,” you dramatically claim.
“you just might if you don’t ask. besides, what's the big deal? it’s only for a weekend,” jin shrugs.
“yeah, a whole weekend of him pretending to be my boyfriend. jin, we can barely tolerate each other as is, having us cooped up together and pretending like we actually like each other is a whole other ball game,” you said.
“well, here’s the way i look at it. either you tell your mother that you don’t have a boyfriend and face embarrassment at your mother's wedding, or you can suck it up, ask jungkook nicely to do you this one favor, and have fun this weekend. you never know, jungkook might actually be up for it,” jin says, an underlying suggestive tone in his voice; one that you never caught.
you had to admit, jin was right. as painful as it was, jungkook was your only chance at escaping this nightmarish weekend.
-
you found jungkook in his usual zone of comfort: with his lips attached to some random girl he probably barely knew. you found yourself scrunching your face in distaste. such a vulgar display in a library no less. you huffed off your second doubts and approached the table with confidence. you noticed that neither party acknowledged your presence, so you knocked on the table to gain their attention. reluctantly, the girl pulled away first to throw you a bitter look.
“jeon, can we talk?” you say softly, not trying to cause a disturbance.
“i’m kind of busy, can’t it wait?” jungkook asks, a smug look on his face, the girl sat next to him donned a complacent smile on hers.
“please, i saw you making out with some bimbo blonde yesterday, i’m sure you can find some other toy to play with when we’re done,” you smirk, watching the look on the girls face fall with every passing word that escaped your lips. she glanced over at jungkook with disgust before grabbing her belongings and walking away in a fit.
“great, well there goes my whole afternoon,” jungkook scoffs. he leans into his chair, folding his arms over his chest.
“you’ll deal. look, i need your help,” you admit, much to your dismay.
“holy shit, i never thought i’d hear you say that,” jungkook laughs ironically.
“please don’t rub it in right now,” you groan.
“how can i offer my service to you?” jungkook smirks, looking up at your obviously irritated figure.
“i need... i can’t believe i’m saying this. i need you to be my boyfriend for the weekend,” you spit out.
“you what?” jungkook asks incredulously. you don’t blame him for his confusion. what you were asking was heinous, add to the fact that you two barely tolerated each other? it was the biggest taboo situation you could’ve put yourself in. but you were desperate.
your mother, as loving as she was, was relentless. she just wanted the best for you. you were about to graduate college soon, about to get a real career and be a real adult. and to her, that meant start a family as soon as possible. and that couldn’t happen without being in a relationship first. and what better way than to hook your daughter up at a gathering for family friends? cause nothing says love like a wedding, right?
“what’s in it for me?” jungkook asks. you looked at him in disbelief.
“wait, you’re actually considering it?” you asked.
“well, you gave me a proposition, so why not?” jungkook asks.
“uh, because we’re not necessarily friends? it’s not like you owe me anything to even consider the idea,” you chuckle.
“you might not be my friend, but that doesn’t mean i’m not yours,” jungkook shrugs, finally standing up and collecting his scattered books. you hadn’t actually noticed them before, you just thought that the library was a good place for jungkook to hook up, not an actual study zone.
“well, uh, what do you have in mind?” you asked, answering his question finally.
“i need a date for this work thing, and my usual hookups aren't going to cut it. they’re not exactly what you would say… modest?” jungkook jokes, causing you to laugh a little bit.
“sound like a deal?” jungkook asks after a moment of silence passes. you pretend to consider his proposition, as if you actually had a choice. you look up at him and you can see that he saw that too.
“what kind of work thing?”
=
“where are you going?” jimin asks, watching you step out of your bedroom clad in a cocktail dress. you really would’ve rather been at your shared apartment, cuddled up next to jimin and tae watching some horror film eating greasy food, but alas, you had to uphold your end of the bargain.
“remember i told you that in order for jungkook to uphold his end, i have to uphold mine? apparently, he works at some magazine company and they’re having a company gathering to celebrate the issue's 90th anniversary and he needed me to come with,” you groan, strapping on your heels.
“you’re going all out for this,” taehyung comments, a teasing tone hidden in his words. you looked up and glared at him, knowing what he meant.
“if i put forth 100%, maybe he will too,” you say.
“oh, he most definitely will be putting in 100% effort,” jimin says, low enough for only taehyung to hear which makes him giggle. you look up and see jimin smirking at you which makes you groan internally.
suddenly, the doorbell rings and you thank whatever being there is that saves you from the conversation that was happening, with or without your participation. you pull the door open and the first thing you see is jungkook, properly dressed head to toe. you notice the bow tie pressed snuggly against his neck, not a wrinkle in his suit jacket or his dress shirt. his long hair was parted down the middle, brushed out out of his eye. you hated to admit it, but he looked breathtakingly beautiful.
“wow,” jungkook finally says, eyeing you in a way that made the blood pool in your cheeks.
“uh, yeah. let’s- let’s go,” you murmur, noticing the boys in the living room giggling at your guys’ interaction. you shove him in his chest. he grabs your hands and laughs, pulling you out the door.
“what did i miss?” jungkook asks. you roll your eyes, noticing the way jungkook held onto your hand, even after you got further and further away from your apartment, but not minding the warmth his hand provided against your cold one.
“trust me, nothing you want to hear, and nothing i’m willing to repeat,” you scoff.

jungkook was right. he had warned you beforehand that everyone at his job was stuck up and snobbish and would continuously point out that fact that you were no model. and like he had forewarned, all you heard all night was “you’re too pretty not to be a model” or “jungkook ended up with you?” you were appalled, sure, but you didn’t take their words to heart. you don’t know these people, and after tonight, you’re never going to see them again.
but jungkook flinched every time someone opened their mouth. he felt bad for you, but when he saw you delicately handle the situation, he knew you would be fine. still, it didn’t make him feel any less bad.
“we can leave whenever you want, you know?” jungkook whispers into your ear. you look up at him and smile.
“sounds like you’re using me as an excuse to ditch this snooze fest,” you giggle. jungkook smiles back down at you and laughs with you.
“busted,” he finally says.
“thank god, let’s ditch these runway wannabes and get some pizza. i’m starved,” you groan, looking away, missing the endearing glance he tosses your way. you both ditch the stuffy building, and headed to a late night pizza shop down the corner. you sigh in relief once you step into the restaurant, inhaling the smell of cheese and dough. you both decide to seat yourselves in a booth in the corner of the dining area. once you both place your orders, you settle into a comfortable silence.
“so, what caused you to conjure up this boyfriend lie?” jungkook asked after awhile.
“my mom thinks that i need to be in a relationship to be happy since i’m getting ready to enter the real world,” you sigh, rolling your eyes and leaning into your elbows that rested on the table.
“thats stupid,” jungkook scoffs, leaning into the booth. you were caught off guard by this, expecting jungkook to somewhat agree with your mother.
“you look surprised,” he says, gauging your reaction.
“i kind of am. not gonna lie, i was expecting you to agree with her,” you say, shrugging. the waiter brings your slices and leaves you two alone, settling back into the conversation.
“no way. if you want to be single, you should. i’m sure you’re single by choice anyways,” jungkook says, picking up his pizza and taking a huge bite of it.
“what do you mean?” you ask him, slightly confused behind the intentions of his sentence.
“i just mean that you’re insanely smart, funny and talented. and you’re extremely beautiful. if you wanted any guy, you could have him,” jungkook shrugs, munching on his pizza in peace. meanwhile, his statement sent you into a frenzy. who knew jeon jungkook thought so highly of you. you were under the impression that he dispised your entire being. he never really complimented you before, so his statement shocked you.
“never knew you thought so highly of me,” you said, smiling to yourself. you can’t really explain it and you don’t know why, but knowing how jungkook truly felt about you made you extremely happy.
“there’s a lot you don’t now about me,” he winks, causing you to roll your eyes and eat your pizza. and yet again, you missed the way jungkook smiled at you, enjoying your presence more than he would care to admit to.
=
“i don’t feel like i’m ready for this yet,” you murmur, feeling your hands start to shake as you stood outside the venue.
“you’re going to have to be, because we’re out of time,” jungkook smiles, taking hold of your hand and waltzing you two into the building. your mom had asked you to come early for a surprise so you decided to give her a surprise of your own.
“jungkook, maybe we should say you caught food poisoning and we had to leave,” you murmured as jungkook continued to drag you further and further into the building. jungkook smiled at your child-like nature and shook his head.
“we’ve come too far to give up now. let’s just rock this and get home,” he says, smiling at you. you felt a sudden urge of confidence that surges through you and gives you enough momentum to swing open the doors of the chapel hall. you were taken aback by the way the chairs are decorated with white pieces, hanging off the backs. you take notice of the pale yellow and white combo that you didn’t think would match so well. you felt happy for your mom and that she met someone who loved her so much that they were willing to do this for her to cherish the day.
“it’s beautiful,” you gape, admiring all the minute details your mother probably agonized over. jungkook admired the astonished look on your face as you practically ignored his presence to take in your surroundings. he always found you beautiful, but watching you be you while nobody was looking was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. jungkook had the biggest crush on you for as long as he could remember. and he refused to even fathom the thought of confessing to you when he knew how you felt. he knew you couldn’t stand his lifestyle, his choices that he’s made regrettably. but how else was he supposed to cope with the fact with the one person he’s allowed to steal his heart hates him.
“ah, there you are,” a voice says from behind you two. you both turn around and you see your mom, hair curlers and full glam.
“hi mama,” you smile, running up to her and giving her a big hug.
“hi sweet pea,” your mama coos, swaying you both back and forth. you pull back and look behind you to see jeon smiling at the interaction. this made your heart jump for a split second before you returned back to your surroundings.
“ma, this is my boyfriend, jeon jungkook,” you smile.
“oh my, you’re so handsome,” your mother gushes, rushing up to him and pulling him into a hug.
“thank you,” jungkook smiles, blushing slightly. you’ve never seen jeon blush before and to see him in a such a fragile state made you happy. and you couldn’t seem to figure out why. your mom finally released jeon from her clutches and she turned back to you.
“hun, i’ve got a surprise for you. follow me,” she says, grabbing yours and jeon’s hands dragging you to what you assumed was the dressing room. there were two dresses that were covered hanging off of a clothing rack. your mom shoves you guys onto a couch and rushes over to the dresses.
“one of these beauties will be yours to wear for the wedding because… hon, will you be my maid of honor?” your mother asks, eyes full of stars that made your heart swell. you felt the air leave your lungs and your heart begin to race. you remember watching your mom struggle with love all her life, her face in a frown always. you’ve never seen your mom so happy now, and you would do anything just to see her happy.
“ma, are you serious?” you ask, wanting to be sure this is what she really wanted.
“of course baby,” she smiles. you jump up and hug her tightly, muttering a yes into her hair. you both squeal with delight, jumping in place like teenage girls. suddenly, another pair of arms are wrapped around you, chest pressed against your back. you managed to look up and see jungkook bouncing with you and your mom.
“i wanted to join too,” jungkook says, his voice high pitched and filled with excitement which in response, made you giggle. you all finally stop bouncing and jungkook pulls you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you, catching you off guard. you felt your heart race and you swore his heartbeat matched yours. you brushed it off as it being the sudden activity you all had just endured.
“i’ll leave you two alone so you can try the dresses,” your mother says after she catches her breath, winking at you.
“you’re just gonna let your daughter get undressed in front of her boyfriend alone?” you ask incredulously.
“hon, he’s your boyfriend. i’m sure he’s seen more,” she giggles, exiting the room, leaving you with your jaw wide open.
“can you believe this?” you ask, shocked at your mothers bold statement.
“i’ve always wondered where you get your vulgarity from,” jungkook teases, his chest causing a vibration that you felt in your back, reminding you of your close, read as nonexistent, proximity. you push yourself away and whip around to face him, catching a glimpse of him trying to fight the smile that tried its best to take place on his delicate features.
“i’m not vulgar and you’re not watching me change. however, i do need an opinion on the dresses, so i guess you can stay,” you say, walking past him to try on the dresses. you snatch both of them of the rack and head into the bathroom, changing into dress number one.
at first you thought it was a joke, the frills and exotic colors making your eyes hurt from how loud it was. you tried it on anyway, and you couldn’t believe how ridiculous you looked. no way your mother was being serious when she picked this dress out. you unlocked the bathroom door and stopped your way to where jungkook was sitting on the couch, playing on his phone. you clear your throat to capture his attention and you nearly explode with the laughter with the way his eyes widen and face drops.
“what do you think?” you ask him, twirling around in the godforsaken dress you know your mother probably bought as a joke.
“i think the longer you look at it, the worse it gets,” jungkook says, a dumbfounded look on his face. you withhold your laughter and stare at him in distaste.
“yeah like your face,” you scoff, playing with the dress as if you actually admired it.
“are you gonna wear that?” he asks, secretly hoping you’d say no so he could release a breathe he didn’t know he was holding.
“well, i like it, don’t you?” you say, continuing to pretend like you actually were considering wearing this deafening dress.
“uh.. if you like it then… sure,” jungkook says, shifting in his seat. you admired the fact that he was trying to cater to your feelings and for some reason it made your heart race at the thought. you don’t know whats been going on with you lately but every kind gesture has made your heart race with excitement. you didn’t know when it happened, but you started looking at jungkook as more and it scared you. you couldn’t be with him. you knew that. jungkook had a reputation, and he was proud of it. he was proud of the amount of women he could pull in one night. hell, in one hour. he was used to the idea that feelings were a concept he wasn’t willing to understand or try out. and you had to accept that.
“i’m messing with you gukkie. my mom probably bought this as a gag, the real dress is still in its cover,” you say laughing at jungkooks face that was contorted into one of discomfort. you leave him to relish in your teasing as you retreat back to the bathroom to change into the actual dress. you could still hear jungkook laugh to himself as you unzipped the dress to change into the other one. little did you know, he was laughing to himself about the nickname you gave him. he’s never had a nickname he actually enjoyed before. he was still lost in the thought of you calling him gukkie forever when you finally exited the bathroom.
he always thought those scenes in cheesy rom-com teen films where the guy is staring at the girl like she’s the only one that matters was cliche. but he was wrong. so very wrong. watching you in the tight floor length pale yellow dress that just made you glow knocked all the air out of his lungs. you’re hair that was in a messy ponytail allowed some pieces of hair to frame your face as you continued to fumble with the dress.
“it’s a little longer than i thought, but it fits well, yeah?” you say, still looking down at the gown. you honestly felt ridiculous. you rarely dress up like this. you hid your body underneath baggy clothing so to have something so tightly pressed against your body made you severely insecure. the silence coming from jungkook made everything worse. you looked up to see jungkook leaning forward, elbows resting on his thighs, hands holding his head up. there was a look in his eye you had never seen before and it made your stomach churn with excitement.
“that bad huh?” you joke, hoping to ease some of the tension that was building in the room. jungkook stands to his feet and approaches you, his body so close to yours you could feel the heat radiating off of his body.
“you look beautiful,” jungkook says, smiling down at you. you feel yourself blush and begin to fumble with your fingers, a nervous tic jungkook found absolutely adorable. jungkook was helplessly in love with you, this much he knew. from the way you laughed, to the way you rolled your eyes in his presence. he loved the way you gave yourself wholly to the ones you cared about, willing and able to do any and everything for the people you love. he loved the way you strived to work hard and how incredibly intelligent you were. and suddenly, his heart was full with all the love he was dying to give you, but know he never could. because you deserved much more than some player who was willing to sleep with anything with legs. but if he could at least pretend like the love between you two was real, even if for a short while, he’ll take it. as desperate as he was, he wanted to know what it felt like to have you love him back. even if he knew it was all pretend.
“jungkook, i can’t thank you enough for doing this. i know you would rather be in some girls bed trying to figure out a way to sneak out without her noticing, but i’m glad you’re here… with me,” you smile, hands gripping his bicep’s to keep him close. his cologne was hypnotizing, causing you to pull him closer and closer.
“there’s no place i would rather be,” jungkook said honestly, placing his hands onto your waist, allowing you to lean in.
“you don’t mean that,” you scoff, smiling and rolling your eyes, getting ready to pull yourself back from a dangerous territory. jungkook stops this from happening, wrapping his arm around you til your pressed flush against his body.
“you have no idea how bad i want you. all of you. mind, body and soul. but for right now, for the sake of our friendship and the momentum its growing, i will take you in whatever way you will allow me to have,” jungkooks says, forehead pressed against yours as he wills himself to hold back from pressing his lips against yours and taking you on the small couch in the dressing room. the words jungkook spoke so honestly made you shake from it’s intensity.
“jungkook i--”
“how’d the dress fit?” you mother asks, barging into the room. you and jungkook scramble apart from one another, him taking seat on the couch and you standing in front of him. you mother misses the way you two seemed highly unfocused and nervous as she coos over how adorable you look in the right dress.
“you need to finish getting your hair and makeup done, so scooch along so me and your beautiful boyfriend can get to know each other,” your mother says shoving you out of the room and directing you to where the other bridesmaids were getting their hair and makeup done. it wasn’t until you were sat in the chair that you realized.. your mother and jungkook were alone. oh boy.
=
you never felt so girly in your life. your hair was curled and put up in a half up half down situation, your makeup light and barely noticeable, but enough to tell you were wearing it. this wasn’t you, you didn’t like wearing makeup mainly because at the end of the day you forget to take it off and causes acne. you were working part time and went to school full time so you always left your hair in a ponytail or a bun. this look was new for you and you were kind of excited yet nervous for jungkook’s reaction.
you surprised yourself with the thought, not really caring about jungkook’s opinions before, but now it was all you could think of, and that scared you. you knew this was just a favor he was owing to you, but he was really going above and beyond and it warmed your heart. but you had to remind yourself that you were just friends, nothing more. hell, you were barely friends. had it not been for you incessant need to prove yourself to your mom, you two would’ve never even became cordial with one another.
you brush these thoughts aside, trying to manifest positive vibes for such a joyous occasion. you leave the dressing room, filled with chatter, in search of jungkook who may be suffering your mother’s constant conversation. you return back to the room you first were in when you arrived, catching your mother exiting the room.
“you didn’t scare him off, did you?” you tease, hugging your mom.
“honey, you look beautiful!,” your mom gushes, taking in the sight of her daughter. you smile and thank her, happy that she was happy.
“is he still in there?” you ask, nodding towards the door she came out of. she giggled and placed her hands on your shoulder.
“he is, and he is absolutely in love with you,” she smiles, causing you to furrow your eyebrows.
“what do you mean?” you ask, your heart starting to race.
“the way he talks about you, the way his eyes gleam with love with the mere thought of you. hunny, this man is undoubtedly in love with you,” she smiles. you couldn’t believe what you were hearing, there was no way that jeon jungkook, the university playboy, is in love with you. you two barely conversed without an argument taking place. you doubt he knew anything about you, despite you two running in the same circles. sure, you knew a lot about him, just because your friends talked about him a lot and it was hard not to listen to sometimes.
“you’re crazy ma. you need to finish getting ready, the weddings going to start soon,” you laugh, trying to brush off the conversation.
“jungkook is in there getting ready, one of robert’s groomsmen caught food poisoning so he’s gonna walk down the aisle with your cousin, sam,” she said, rushing off to get ready, leaving you no room to reply. this wasn’t what he signed up for and you felt bad, so you went into the room to check on him. you caught him standing in front of the vanity, trying to finish off his tie. you had seen jungkook dressed up before, but there was something different about this time. you felt something more for him, and honestly, you always have. but his reputation…
“looking sharp,” you smile, looking up at him. his eyes meet yours in the mirror and he smiles, and this time you see it. the love your mother was talking about.
“you look beautiful, as usual,” he says, his charm peeking through. you scoff at his comment, walking up to him. you seemed small compared to him, and it was kind of an odd sight for you. you leaned your head against his shoulder, just staring at him staring at you through the mirror.
“something on your mind?” he asks, noticing how lost in thought you were. you focus in on him and the surroundings around you.
“my ma said something interesting earlier that’s got me thinking is all,” you say, hoping he wouldn’t press the issue much further. you didn’t want to make the air awkward or uncomfortable by trying to involve feelings, but a big part of you want to know how he feels from his own lips.
“what did she say?” he asked, his nerves jumping. he didn’t say anything wrong did he? he tried to be as cordial and respectful as possible, wanting your mother to like him. if things were to happen in the future, he didn’t want to be on bad terms with your mother.
“she said… she said that you love me?” you murmur, you heart caught in your throat now that the truth was out there and you can’t take it back. jungkook froze, caught off guard by your confession. he wanted to play it off like it wasn’t true, that your mother was delusional. but he knew the truth. and he knew that you also knew it too. he wanted you. he’s always wanted you. and now, he’s presented with the opportunity to have you in any way he wants and he can’t make the move to move forward.
“is it true?” you ask, trying to get a clear and concise answer. you’re not sure what’s going to happen, regardless of what his answer is, but the anxiety of not knowing is starting to kill you. you shouldn’t be forcing him to confess, but now that it was out there in the air, you couldn’t take it back. maybe you should tell him?
“if you’re not comfortable talking about it it’s o--”
“i love you,” he blurts, interrupting you. you pick your head up off of his shoulder and now you’re standing side by side, staring at him through the vanity mirror. you’re frozen, unsure of what to do now. you didn’t actually think he was going to say it. you thought your mother was pulling your leg. but she didn’t know that you two weren’t actually a couple and maybe that’s why you had hoped what she said was true.
“did you hear me?” he asks, voice laced with nerves. he couldn’t even begin to explain the amount of fear and vulnerability he was feeling at the moment. he meant it. he loved you. but why should you believe him. he was a playboy, and though you may never understand his reasons as to why he tried so hard to escape you by sleeping with other people, he wanted nothing more for you to believe him now.
“i did,” you whisper, afraid that the sound of your beating heart was louder than the words you spoke. you wanted him, god you wanted him, but you were scared that his words were from false bravado. a heat of the moment feeling that was fleeting.
“i know you might not believe me, and you have every right not to. but i love you with my entire being and.. it’s scary,” he chuckles, trying to explain his emotions to the only person he’s ever been vulnerable with.
“and like i told you earlier, for the sake of us finally gaining friendship, i will play it to your pace and whenever you’re ready, let me know. because i’ll be here,” he smiles. he turns to you, leaning down and placing a gentle kiss to your cheek before walking out of the room, leaving you confused as to what the hell just happened.
