So Al post always have to make sure she the centre of attention on Ms big night which doesn't come as a shock in that photo michael look tense and stiff and where the smile it exactly same as the other he pulls when he with her georgia one on seems more general and supportive of her friend and husband best friend then his actual parter
Would love to hear ur thoughts on this one
Hi there! Well, my DMs have been blowing up all afternoon about these various posts, and...yeah. A lot to unpack here, for sure.
It's interesting to see the use of two very different pictures here--one posed, one a candid pic/selfie--and how that frames everything else that is going on, and highlights several contrasts that are much too great to ignore. Perhaps the most significant contrast is that in the posed photo, Michael and AL are barely touching, and the photographer seems to have made the choice not to pose them like a couple. There is also no apparent "pull" that is unconsciously bringing them together, in spite of whatever direction they might've been given. In the picture of Michael and David, however, not only are they sitting very close together, but that "pull" is readily visible, and you can see them leaning/melting into each other without any effort. So that by itself on a foundational, fundamental level puts these pictures into two very different places.
The second aspect of the contrast--again, in my opinion--is the impersonal nature of Anna's post vs. Georgia's. Anna is posting a Getty Images picture with a watermark with another generic "Darling" caption (the same as she did in another post when the first episode of The Way aired a few weeks ago). At this point it feels, as @invisibleicewands previously described, akin to a "Best regards" at the end of an e-mail. And again, it's not only a photo shoot pic instead of a personal one--an especially strange choice given that Michael has repeatedly talked about how much he hates photo shoots--but a shot where Michael looks stiff and so uncharacteristically subdued.
In the picture Georgia posted, we see that twinkle in his eye, how relaxed he looks, full of that life and joy that we've come to so strongly associate with Michael, and it makes it even more stark how absent that is from the second picture. And further adding to all of this is what you mentioned, about AL centering herself/how she and Michael look in this post, as opposed to the opening of the play.
If we had any doubts about this, Anna seems to have taken the point home this with the story she posted immediately following this one:
Tumblr media
For those who may not know, this is a photo from the show Schitt's Creek, of the actors who play the main family (special shout-out to Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy, my loves). I have not actually seen the show, so I can't attest to anything specific about the characters' personalities, but it appears this is who AL thinks she and Michael look like. I would say, though, that what is apparent to me is that Anna's priority in posting that first Insta story was the aesthetic/the picture, rather than celebrating Michael or the opening night of the play. Putting these two things together, Michael almost seems like the smallest part of the post, which is an odd thing to do when tonight is the opening night of his play.
And this again wildly contrasts with Georgia's post, where the picture is merely a vehicle for something much deeper, and much more meaningful. Just the positioning of the word "Michael" at the center of the picture is a visual cue that lets us know what this post is about, and this is further augmented by the caption for all of the reasons I enumerated here. I also can't help thinking that there was a reason that a picture of Michael and David was used--not a picture of Michael by himself, and not a picture of Michael and Georgia--and given that this Insta story was posted after AL's, it makes me wonder if that was a deliberate choice, for multiple reasons...
So yes, those are my thoughts on these two Insta stories/pictures from today. I'm definitely interested to see what posts or pictures we might get following tonight's performance/press night (and fingers crossed that David actually made it to the show this time). Also glad as always to hear from my followers about your take on these posts. Thanks for writing in! x

I'd love to learn more about your Jon! Any fun facts or tidbits about his lore/backstory you're willing to dish out for free?
i sure do! i'll just drop his whole backstory, since i've been meaning to anyway :]
Jonathan Crane was born and raised on a rural farm in the heart of Georgia. Contrary to what most might've guessed, his parents were actually really respected doctors/researchers, who had moved out there after having Jon in an attempt to have a family life. They quickly realized that they'd only had a kid out of a feeling of obligation, and they held no real love for Jon nor a desire to raise him. The pair of them were often out for what could be months at a time on "business trips".
This left Jon often in the care of his extremely religious and abusive grandmother. Jon was homeschooled, so there was no escape from her tyrannical rule over their house except if he stuck his nose in a book or ventured out into the fields.
Jon had always loved the crows out on his family's property. They were the pets that he was never allowed to get, and basically became a family to him. His grandmother was absolutely freaked out by the crows, and Jon eventually noticed. To get back at her, he'd sprinkle seed or other bits of food in places where she would undoubtedly see them and get scared by them. She was always going on and on about demonic forces and ghosts and the like, so eventually Jon took it up a notch and started dressing up as a scarecrow, creeping around the farm in the distance or even standing over her bed at night.
Seeing her turn from an monstrous, terrifying figure to him to the scared, frail old woman she was was quite a power trip for him. He became fascinated by the power of fear and how it revealed a person's true nature. And how it made him feel powerful in return.
The death of his grandmother was a complete accident. The power of being the scarecrow had gotten to his head so much that he confronted her head on, meaning to just wave his scythe around and scare the daylights out of her. But one thing lead to another lead to her gutted on their living room floor.
By now Jon's parents hadn't come back in over two years, so he neatly cleaned up her body, packed a bag, stole some money, and ventured out to Gotham City.
fun facts (and a doodle) under the cut, since this already got HELLA long
-Jon works at Arkham, very closely with it's director: Hugo Strange. Strange is aware of Jon's double life as the Scarecrow and they commit various wildly unethical experiments on the patients within Arkham
-Jon's leg brace comes from one of his first encounters with the Bat. It'd been bad since he had fucked up his knee as a kid, but after accidentally falling off of a roof while fighting Batman it just got absolutely destroyed. It'd have been too suspicious to go to a hospital, so it ended up healing wrong. Lucky for him he's got a high pain tolerance
-He and Ed met during Ed's first stint in Arkham. He thought Ed was fascinating psychologically and thus was his psychiatrist for a little while. Until he broke him out
-Oswald absolutely hates him. Jon doesn't like the little man but he finds the rivalry more funny than anything. The reason for it is that during the mayoral campaign, Oswald came to Jon for help creating something that would indispose his fellow candidate. After Jon refused, Oz got petty and tattled the location of his current hideout to the GCPD. A faceful of fear gas later and Oz's healthy wariness of Jon is restored
this is baby crane's first scarecrow costume <3

Okay I have thoughts on this one and I actually feel like putting them into sentences, so, without further ado: me actually writing a post without procrastinating indefinitely
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My first impression, genuinely, was underwhelmed. I definitely really like it, but it didn't blow my mind like the others. (Maybe all of my anticipatory excitement before seeing it was setting the bar unrealistically high?) Initially, I assumed the designer was Mithridate—partially because I spent the past few weeks really hoping it would be—but mostly because they've designed the previous three embellished jackets and it seemed like a reasonably logical conclusion?
Some things I noticed:
1. Flowers! Mithridate's three previous looks have all been very celestial. The switch to flowers is plausible (or at least still on-theme for the Crowley vibes) but it feels a bit unlikely for them to change gears so suddenly. 2. Shawl collar, which means literally nothing aside from "a tiny bit less Crowley," but it definitely makes it distinct from the others. 2a. Sunglasses, which mean literally nothing aside from "a tiny bit more Crowley" and I think this has more to do with his stylist than anything else. 3. Where are the bugs?? Mithridate has been doing a lot with bugs (to the point that I briefly thought they might've been involved with Andrew Scott's Met Gala look. Alright, fine, Versace. You can have some bugs, too.) 4. Bead placement is a lot more focused to specific areas (lower sleeves, shoulders, lapels, and collar) opposed to Mithridate's usual all-over embellishments. 5. I zoomed in and I could actually identify the types of beads used! (mostly bugle beads) And really, credit for this should go to Shane Anthony Sinclair of Getty Images, not the designer, but on both the BAFTA Kilt and the Olivier suit, I really struggled to be able to identify specific bead shapes. This issue was also present on the suit from the Evening Standard Awards, but to a lesser extent. (if anyone has some super sharp images of any of those, I'd be forever in your debt 🥹) 6. Enter Georgia
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Suddenly it all makes sense: Joshua Kane. It doesn't look like Mithridate's work because it's not. Joshua Kane shared this to his instagram story and it's really interesting to see v1! Also the images in the linked post are super sharp, so I'm definitely not complaining
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also want to note that Georgia tagged goodomensprime which also doesn't mean anything, but I still wanted to mention it 🤷
final thoughts: I like it a lot more now that I'm not trying to figure out why Mithridate suddenly changed everything. I also really appreciate the closeups of the beading on Joshua Kane's instagram (despite being a different piece) because I love the detail and I wish he'd post similar shots of David's!

so, what's the deal with Georgia and Hancock? I mean, I know they end up together, but the early stuff seemed to suggest they were not going to be friends.
When I get around to writing the fic, her early relationship with Hancock is going to be a very fun exploration of some of Georgia's character flaws. Namely: she makes a lot of snap decisions about people, she's stubborn as all hell, and she's prone to confirmation bias.
Hancock makes...his canonical first impression. And Georgia, who hasn't been out of the Vault that long at this point and whose exposure to violence so far has mostly been in kill-or-be-killed situations, takes it really badly. And from then on out, she takes the least charitable interpretation of everything Hancock says or does...right up until the end of the Big Dig quest. Which- Georgia might've been entirely up for robbing Hancock...if it weren't for needing to kill Fahrenheit and her men to do it. No love lost there either, Georgia's just...she feels like she needs more justification for killing than just money, and that's all Bobbi is giving her. Even then, she's not keen on Hancock and she's pretty sure when she heads up to the Old State House, that this is going to end in a confrontation that is probably going to end bloodily and almost certainly going to lead to her never being able to come back to Goodneighbour.
And then Hancock starts worrying aloud about letting power get to his head, and actually decides to leave Goodneighbour over it. And that just- it's not something that fits at all with the image of him she's built up in her head. She was wrong about him - maybe not entirely wrong about him being dangerous, but he does at least mean what he says, and even if he's a bit more comfortable with violence than she'd like...well, so are a lot of people she now calls friends. It's a more violent world now than she'd like. Basically, it's the big 'Darcy's letter' moment in this relationship, when Georgia realises that she made that first judgement too hastily, and that she might be completely wrong about Hancock's character, motives and intentions.
In the fic, I'd probably put them going to rescue Kent from Sinjin...between Hancock deciding to leave for a while, and Georgia asking him to come with her/him formally announcing it. They're in the middle of that conversation when Kent being kidnapped comes on the radio, and they pause that whole conversation to deal with it. And in the process of that whole business, they find that they work well together, have a very compatible sense of showmanship and its uses, and Hancock is the one who gets the shot that stops Sinjin from blowing Kent's brains out while Georgia is busy putting the fear of the Silver Shroud into his goons. All of which, plus Hancock's little pep-talk to Kent afterwards, gets them pretty solidly to 250 approval and that first affinity conversation back at the Old State House, which leads into Georgia offering that, since he's planning on going for a walk anyway...she does kinda need help with the whole 'getting into Fort Hagan to face down Kellogg and save her son' thing, if he'd be up for it. She's not...really expecting him to say yes, because she's pretty sure she's burned her bridges there, and is kicking herself for it...but he does.
After that, they're friends, and even if they argue, there's a bedrock of trust there that, even if they disagree on methodology, they are agreed about what sort of world they want to create and what sort of things they want to do in it. The romance...sort of builds from there.

Trans Rights are Human Rights, or why I struggle to boo CM Punk
Tumblr media
Ok the title is sort of a lie. I certainly didn't struggle booing him on Sunday live in Wembley. But in all fairness he was facing Samoa Joe who is one of those wrestler that I just care about always have for damn longer time than I have liked Punk. I, like most of the British crowd, was chanting my lungs out for Joe and yes might've booed Punker but my attitude slightly changed during the post of of this amazing if slightly predictable match. After the match, as pictured, CM Punk posed with a fan holding a sign that said "Oi Rishi! TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS" this is the latest in a string of support Phil has made towards the trans community including but not limited to a cool charity t shirt that I own but do not have in my possession.
I was at All In with a friend and when that happened he turned to me and said "THAT'S US!" as we both screamed and cheered CM Punk. I supported CM Punk in this moment even though he has given me so many reasons to think he is a twat. I cheered him because if I'm honest being a trans wrestling fan is hard.
These events are pretty recent and are still upsetting to me so I will try to make this section brief. Unfortunately I couldn't find a date for this particular event since none of the articles mentioned one so, at Wrestlecon Giselle Shaw, a trans woman currently wrestling in IMPACT was accosted by wrestling legend Rick Steiner. Brother to Scott Steiner and father to Bron Breakker. Steiner hurled lots of insults towards Shaw including slurs. I’m not going to read it out but Shaw’s tweets I will link below so you can hear the story from her. This is possibly the most extreme example I have of LGBT+ issues still being prevalent in wrestling today and the worst thing Rick Steiner has done since the Chucky segment. It makes me sadder than I can express that Giselle shaw can’t go to a convention without people being shitty.
There was a second after me and my friend had that exchange at All In where I thought "Am I okay saying that? It's London it's not like I'm in London that often. Is it safe to say I'm trans?". Obviously I am okay, I got safe and was not shanked up at any point but I was scared. And I think this fear is heightened by the fact that I have seen a wrestler, a wrestler I look up to, experience harassment due to their gender identity.
I felt safe at All In, it was incredible and I loved being a wrestling fan surrounded by wrestling fans. But there have been times where I have felt uncomfortable or unsafe in this fandom. I think that there are worse ones and that I feel generally more accepted in the wrestling fandom that I perhaps might expect but I shouldn't have to feel like this, ever.
So that's why I struggle to boo CM Punk, and why that moment was one of my favourite of the night, because CM Punk made me feel like I could be a part of the wrestling fandom. That I wasn't out of place. That I was accepted and I will forever be grateful for that.
In conclusion, on Sunday CM Punk has helped me and I hope that you can do one thing for me, just one. Go watch a match with a trans or non binary person in it. Please, it shouldn't take long. It could be Gisele Shaw, it could be Nyla Rose, Kidd Bandit, VENY, Max The Impaler, Jessica Love, Sheik Khan Abdi, Abadon, you could watch an old Kagetsu match if you want. I would love to see trans or non binary wrestlers get recognition and appreciation. So go off, watch that match. and if you do retweet this and say what match you watched and what you thought of it.
This has been Undisputed Queer-a.
Slay The System, certainly Shock The Cis-tem, sorry I'm a day late, I will see you next Monday (probably, hopefully, should be)

Lyrics:
Can't keep my hands to myself
Think I'll dust 'em off, put 'em back up on the shelf
In case my little baby girl is in need
Am I coming out of left field?
Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now
I been feeling it since 1966, now
Might be over now, but I feel it still
Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now
Let me kick it like it's 1986, now
Might be over now, but I feel it still
Got another mouth to feed
Leave her with a baby sitter, mama, call the grave digger
Gone with the fallen leaves
Am I coming out of left field?
Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now
I been feeling it since 1966, now
Might've had your fill, but you feel it still
Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now
Let me kick it like it's 1986, now
Might be over now, but I feel it still
We could fight a war for peace
(Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now)
Give in to that easy living
Goodbye to my hopes and dreams
Stop flipping for my enemies
We could wait until the walls come down
(Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now)
It's time to give a little to the
Kids in the middle, but oh 'til it falls
Won't bother me
Is it coming?
Is it coming?
Is it coming?
Is it coming?
Is it coming?
Is it coming back?
Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, yeah
Your love is an abyss for my heart to eclipse, now
Might be over now, but I feel it still

ok so thoughts on this year's entries, in no specific order
-moldova once again showing us how it's done with folk pop
-italy coming in with a beautiful ballad IN ITALIAN (take notes everyone else)...bless. i don't even know what he's singing abt and that's okay! that's how esc works
-ukraine...the guy is cute and the message is ok but it's not giving, i'm sorry
-switzerland has a song abt not wanting to take part in wars...the joke writes itself
-the denmark guy looks like the love child of timothe chalawhatever and noah centineo. the song is boring :((
-austria...they understood the assignment. it's unhinged and nonsensical, there's no context whatsoever. same energy as the banana wolf song from norway last year
-armenia girls has such a pretty voice but the song is mid. if she'd sung it in armenian, it might've been a serve
-slovenia has rly good vibes and the music video is rly fun
-portugal KNOWS WHAT'S UP. the beat is good, we've got some latin pop vibes going, they're actually singing in portuguese (which is a rly pretty language imo)
-croatia GETS IT. idk what's going on but i'm here for the ride! also the music video is unhinged
-I LOVE THE SAXOPHONE IN MALTA'S ENTRY. the rest is sort of underwhelming tho, idk how to feel abt it
-poland....okay. are they trying to write the next summer hit
-australia darling, you're already on thin ice, and this is just. you can do better. i'm falling asleep
-everyone's talking abt serbia's entry but like. it's not clicking for me. i feel like they're trying to recreate the vibes of last year's (amazing) entry with the serbian lyrics and the cryptic message but it's not giving!! that being said, the line "i just want to sleep" is a mood and it can turn into a good meme at the very least
-czechia baby...you were so close. the chorus is a spiritual experience but the verses are clumsy and idk what to make of it. i like the message, tho, and it's def better than a lot of other entries
-i hate saying this but france is actually better than i expected. she has a good voice and the melody is kind of a vibe.
-ok spain kinda went off? it sounds so good, even tho i don't understand the lyrics, and the music video has this haunted aesthetic that i'm digging. i hope they keep the candles for the live version
-ok georgia...the chorus is great but everything else is mid
-lithuania giving us this year's depression song. that's it that's all i've got
-norway's entry actually deserves the hype. it's a vibe
-ok cyprus is kind of good, as far as esc love ballads go. he's putting his whole pussy into it
-ok albania is actually singing in albanian, love that for her! it's a very balkan song (affectionate), it kind of reminds me of like. balkan soap opera soundtracks (more specifically turkish and romanian cuz that's what i'm used to lol)
-ok belgium's entry is rly gay, is that a drag queen in the music video? bless their souls. the chorus is v upbeat, it's giving 90's music...yeah i'm down
-OMG GERMANY JDJSJHCWH. blood and glitter???? they're embracing the hardcore vibes lol. the guy's voice could cut through diamond. they get it!
-ireland i want to like you but i'm afraid the song is just.ok.
-WHERE IS BULGARIA????? NOOOOO
-ok the san marino guys are fun! i love the live guitars
-finland is so cursed yghg
-greece is ok.
-won't even bother with israel <333
-sweden, latvia, estonia and iceland being boring, nothing to see here. what's going on with the baltic and nordic countries? are u guys ok?
-and last but not least...romania. idk what we did here. the song is a bop and i can tell that the guy is trying his best but the coreography feels like a rip off of last year's entry. he can never have what wrs did, tho. wrs actually served cunt and objectified himself, as well as the dancers! this guy just stands there while the girls are carrying the show. maybe next year we can get our shit together :(((

Let me kick it like it’s 1986, now
I just started watching ‘Dark’ on Netflix and decided to google it:
Tumblr media
The supernatural elements in the year 1986 made me think of the song I was listening to two days ago.
I got that familiar feeling that I was listening to this song for a reason, like it was some kind of foreshadowing:
Portugal. The Man. “Feel It Still”
Lyrics
Can't keep my hands to myself
Think I'll dust 'em off, put 'em back up on the shelf
In case my little baby girl is in need
Am I coming out of left field?
Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now
I been feeling it since 1966, now
Might be over now, but I feel it still
Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now
Let me kick it like it's 1986, now
Might be over now, but I feel it still
Got another mouth to feed
Leave her with a baby sitter, mama, call the grave digger
Gone with the fallen leaves
Am I coming out of left field?
Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now
I been feeling it since 1966, now
Might've had your fill, but you feel it still
Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now
Let me kick it like it's 1986, now
Might be over now, but I feel it still
We could fight a war for peace
(Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now)
Give in to that easy living
Goodbye to my hopes and dreams
Stop flipping for my enemies
We could wait until the walls come down
(Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now)
It's time to give a little to the
Kids in the middle, but oh 'til it falls
Won't bother me
Is it coming?
Is it coming?
Is it coming?
Is it coming?
Is it coming?
Is it coming back?

Feel It Still lyrics © Warner Chappell Music, Inc, Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC, Universal Music Publishing Group
What happened in the world in 1986?
I googled what happened in 1986. Here is some of what happened in 1986 across the globe:
Tumblr media
Interestingly, the Human Genome Project started then. Funny coincidence since I’ve been thinking and talking about that project lately and have admitted to feeling paranoid about having my DNA analyzed. The reason I’ve felt paranoid is because I feel like there is some kind of trait in my DNA which is being tracked by some agency, and I don’t want any people coming after me to test me (again) ( I feel like I have been experimented upon and/or something in me has been altered).
What happened to ME in 1986?
I was 11 in 1986. I feel like something horrible was done to me, something outside of what my parents did. Wasn’t I watching Jem on television then?
Yes, I was:
Tumblr media
I know that I was severely traumatized in 1986, when I was 11.
I was dissociating daily, shaking that towel and very interested in Jem and the Holograms. I wanted to be a hologram like Jem. She was the inspiration and base model for the other world I created for myself.
I couldn’t bear to see and hear and smell and taste what was going on around me. This was a period of time in which my father dragged us all across the United States, from Youngstown, Ohio, to Atlanta, Georgia, and down to various places in Florida, moving from one roach motel to another. All six of us lived in a single room with two beds (if we were lucky) and smelly carpet. I used to lie down on the floor between a bed and a wall to try to get the most privacy as I could, and I used to used my Jem doll as a sort of totem which I would shake to take myself to the world I had created inside my mind. I would focus on her hair dangling past her shoulders and it was like I was teleported out of the hell my bruised, three-dimensional body was in. Unfortunately, I no longer had Jem in 1986.
My father had thrown away all of our things, saying they were “from the past” and therefore “evil.” My Jem doll was included in that group. She was especially bad because she had breasts and dad said that breasts were evil. I needed a way to transport myself to my alternate reality, so I would take a towel and wrap it around my left fist, hold it over my right forearm, and shake it. The towel became hair falling upon shoulders which had seconds earlier been my forearm. When I shook that towel while holding my left foot in my right hand, I was a hologram in a world in which I lived in a beautiful home and the majority of my experiences were shifting gears in a very fast car (the gear shift was on the dashboard) and hearing the acoustic delights of opening the heavy wooden door of my home and the click of my heels upon the various surfaces. I wrote songs and sang and helped underprivileged girls with my sisters.
The number 11 seems important.
I know that that 11 means “illumination” in Tibetan numerology (according to Kryon); however, I recall the number 11 being associated with me in a very detailed numerology reading I’d had done whilst living in Shepperton.
I located my Deluxe Numerology Report in Google Drive.
It seems that my Soul Urge is 11:
Tumblr media
Seeing this number makes me think of that book I am just beginning to read, ‘The 49th Mystic’. The protagonist is called number 49 by an interdimensional being in the book. The protagonist has the ability to exist in one dimension while sleeping and the third dimension while awake. The being she communicates with in her sleep begins to interact with her in her waking life. I used to solve everyday problems in my dreams and often had dreams that came true when I was a little girl and teenager (less frequently after the age of 15).
What does it mean to have a number 11 Soul Urge?
According to my Deluxe Numerology Report, 11 is a “master number”:
Tumblr media
These are the two pages from my numerology report which describe my 11 Master Number soul urge:

These pages state that the soul is a combination of the physical and the spirit, or what the Greeks called Nous. My Soul Urge is a master number, and that label of “master number” seems to imply that I naturally possess some kind of mastery. Perhaps this makes me similar to the protagonist in that novel I just mentioned.
An interesting coincidence is the mentioning of trauma and dissociation. I had just written about my daily dissociation and Jem, and now I see that my numerology report also mentions trauma and dissociation. The numerology report claims that trauma and dissociation can cause the soul to stop participating in everyday life. Is this why I do not feel like a real person and an empty shell most of the time?
Looking at ‘trauma’ and ‘11’ also makes me think of the character “11” on ‘Stranger Things’. She was a victim of the Montauk Project because she was psychically gifted, and if I recall the series correctly, she was traumatized to activate her gifts. The Montauk Project was real. I have always felt that something similar happened to me. Maybe it was just a dream. Maybe it happened when I was 11. Maybe I was called “11.” Who knows? Stranger things have happened.

Hi! need some reassurance here. Am i the only one who is sad because we don’t know if we are gonna to see Michael and David working together again? Between the strike (which I totally support) and amazon not renewing GO, nothing is certain right now. I just miss them, i miss the interviews and i need new content. Note aside, I really don’t like the personal content that GT is posting on IG, like the video of David at the festival. Maybe it’s because I’m still new to the fandom and I’m not British, so i’ve a very different kind of humor, but her content somehow irk me… I don’t know. And don’t let me start talking about AL: she seems so phony and rude and i get nothing but bad vibes from her. Why does she always mock Michael’s appearance? I know, it’s none of my business 😅 So yeah… sorry about the rant!
Tumblr media
Hi there! Grouping these together, since I'm a bit overdue in addressing some of this.
So as of this writing, the WGA strike has been resolved (hooray!) and the writers are back to work (including Neil, whom I believe is returning to writing GO season 3). SAG-AFTRA (of which Michael and David are both members) is continuing its strike, however, but hopefully it will also be resolved soon.
That said, I am definitely with you in feeling sad about not knowing when Michael and David will work together again. I believe the renewal for S3 is still pending, so it is indeed a time of uncertainty. My hope is that if/when the SAG strike is resolved, we might perhaps get some interviews with Michael and David that we otherwise were unable to get when GO 2 first came out. It may be too late to promote the season, of course, but we have to remember that earlier this year, Michael was popping up on nearly all of David's TV appearances (The Last Leg, Have I Got News For You), so even if a formal project isn't currently in the works, it hopefully won't be too long before we have the chance to see them together again.
To the rest of your Ask and @phantomstars24's, I've had multiple people asking me about what happened with Anna and her being called out, so for those who might've missed it, what occurred was that two weeks ago, someone left a comment on one of AL's Insta posts (the one with the photos from the "family holiday" in Sweden the weekend prior) calling her out for her repeated comments about Michael's appearance over the last few years:
Tumblr media
Several comments from people defending AL/attacking the commenter followed these, and the next morning, she responded with this comment (not on the chain of already existing comments, but separately):
Tumblr media
My initial impression was to be surprised that she responded at all. If the callout commenter's words truly meant nothing and weren't worth responding to, why say anything? But AL chose to reply, and that was her decision, so here we are. What is strange to me, though, is that she also chose to flat-out lie about something easily provable, given that her comments about Michael's appearance have all been well-documented on her Insta and Twitter over the past three years.
The second thought that came to mind is that this seemed like another attempt on her part at being Georgia--i.e., wanting/trying to give a witty "clapback" to a criticism. Instead, her comment comes across as insecure and insincere, with "magnificent hair growth" being a particularly egregious example of laying it on thick (who even talks like that? No one talks like that.). I was truly surprised to realize this comment was written by an almost 30-year-old woman, as it reads more like a teenager having a fit--though in fairness, there are plenty of teenagers who are far more mature than this.
There is also the notion that we are or somehow should be jealous of the "banter" in her and Michael's relationship, except that this misses two key points. One, that it's one thing for Michael to be self-deprecating about his looks--and that even if he is, it doesn't mean he doesn't feel hurt and is therefore possibly making those comments as a deflection--but it's something else entirely for her to make them. It speaks volumes about her character that she would see/hear him saying these things about himself and instead of wondering if he is okay, decides that it gives her the go-ahead to add to it and snark about his appearance. So many of us have felt self-conscious about our looks at one time or another, but without any response from him, it comes across less like "mutual banter" and more like "one person progressively making passive-aggressive cutting comments over time about the other." Which brings us to the second key point, which is that "in-jokes" are only funny to the people who are in on them, and similarly, banter is only mutual if we are able to see his end of it. The problem is, we never do. Michael does not interact with her on social media (even from his "private account," which many of us have known about for years, as he used to use it to interact with Kate, Sarah, and Lily all the time, yet he doesn't use it to interact with AL, for some reason).
Curiously, this would have been a perfect moment for Michael to do exactly that, or to say something on Twitter in her defense. Of course it is entirely possible that he felt he didn't need to say anything--which is his prerogative, just as it was AL's prerogative to respond. But it's quite interesting to realize that at the same exact time AL wrote that comment, Michael was on Twitter talking about touching David's chest and referring to him as the Thin Dark Duke, and then kept tweeting about GO fandom stuff for the next three hours. Choices.
All this to say that, in my opinion, there was nothing genuine or graceful about AL's comment. And again, you could say well sure, she felt attacked, so there was no obligation to stand on ceremony or mince words. It's just interesting that her comment went in the direction of defensive and sarcastic instead of saying something like, "Michael and I love each other and can handle a bit of teasing." And I truly do hope Michael's fans who rushed to her defense take a step back and realize that she is not a nice person. This is not how a nice person, regardless of who they are dating, talks to other human beings. And she will never reply to them or thank them for doing so because to her, they are a means to an end.
In any case, there was a recap of the callout/clapback situation with AL, for anyone who missed it. To your comments @nightingalecottage, please do not apologize for ranting. As I've said before, I want my blog to be somewhere folks can have these discussions calmly and civilly, and I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to message me with your thoughts. And as always, I'm very aware that I could be wrong about all of this, so I urge folks to read what is here and decide for themselves. Thanks for writing in! x

Finding out that Georgia will be in Michael’s new project while his “girlfriend” ie; baby mama has been retweeting and promoting the show before it can even come out and isn’t in it…… OOF. I guess Michael decided that since this will be his own personal project he wants Anna nowhere near this one, especially since he can make the decision not to put her in it. Also hope David will end up in it alongside Michael where they both act and work together again
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Grouping all of these Anons together since there is a common theme.)
So, for those who might've missed it, one of the recent GO 2 promo interviews was with Michael by himself, and in it, he talked about his directorial debut project, The Way, and mentioned that Georgia makes an appearance:
youtube
To your question, @whimhabit, this is the first time there has been any mention of Georgia in the film, at least as far as I'm aware. That would explain those comments in her interviews, though, as well as this photo that she posted on Instagram of her on the way to Wales last month:
Tumblr media
Regarding @phantomstars24's comments, though, I don't know that we can definitively say that AL isn't in The Way, but that makes it look even stranger that Michael didn't say anything to that effect, because he could have (and has had no compunction about mentioning her being in his projects--such as LTTC--in the past). Even if things about the production were under wraps previously (which could be why Georgia couldn't say anything/why AL hasn't said anything if she does have a part), that clearly isn't the case now since Michael did mention that Georgia is in it. But that also raises the question of why Michael would cast his lover's David's wife in the show, but not his own partner...
On top of all this, Michael also dropped another interesting tidbit in one of the GO 2 promo interviews the other day, which is that apparently his parents were in the Job sequence, but their part was cut from it. So in the course of all the GO 2 interviews, there have been mentions of multiple family members--Peter Davison and Ty, Georgia, and Michael's parents--but not AL. At this point, the omission is pretty glaring, and certainly raises some questions.
Which then leads us to AL's Insta story from last week, as well as a comment she wrote on Twitter, both of which seemed to barely receive any notice in the fandom:
Tumblr media
It's hard to know where to begin, but the fact that this came within the space of a day and in the midst of all the GO 2 interviews really feels like a grab for attention (which I imagine is now harder to obtain, since the SAG strike means none of the actors can promote it). But this text continues the pattern of 1) Not having Michael's name on it, for some reason; and 2) Her seemingly trying to prove something about their relationship while achieving the opposite. Of course, plenty of texts between couples can be humdrum or about everyday events, but the takeaway here is that this could've just as easily been an exchange between a homeowner and a house-sitter. Why show the three missed calls? To make it seem like he was urgently calling her (even though she ignored them all)? And then as Anon #1 mentioned, for the denouement to be him asking if the gate was closed was entirely anticlimactic.
...And then there's the comment on Twitter. Again, out of nowhere, and her reply (or parts of it) were so thoroughly weird and unnecessary. I have more thoughts to share that involve spoilers for GO 2, so I will put the rest of my response under a cut. Read at your own discretion:
The mention of his lips and kissing felt so deliberate as to be ridiculous. Rather than using the reply to praise him as an actor or his work, it seemed entirely self-serving, and specifically engineered to remind us that she has kissed Michael. (Albeit in the creepiest way possible, because it also makes it sound like she targeted him...)
I just can't help thinking that if his and AL's relationship is going great and everything is peachy keen (which actually rhymes with Michael Sheen), then why does she need to remind the world that she's kissed him? Also, we now know that David definitely has, so it makes one wonder if she feels threatened by that and by what we're going to see on screen in GO season 2.
Which brings me to another point, which is the marked difference between that Twitter response and everything we've seen in the GO 2 promo interviews. Michael and David have already been giving off "They totally kissed" energy for the last four years, but we now know that is the case for sure (and likely not just in the show). Yet in the interviews, David is completely playing it coy (largely due to not wanting to give away spoilers, of course)...but that same energy is still coming through, even without them saying anything. And I think it's coming through not just for those of us who already know about the leak, but for those who don't know about it, too. All without Michael or David ever once saying the word kiss.
So those are my thoughts on these recent developments. The interviews with Michael and David have been full of so many shippy/cute moments, but also lots of very interesting little blink-and-you'll-miss it pieces of info, so I'm glad we got to discuss those as well. Thank you all for writing in! x

First of all, while I know he's referring to Jet use, I really wish he'd used another turn of phrase, as that is not what 'self-pollution' generally means in the parlance I'm used to. Though I guess he might've been doing that too.
But also- yeah, this feels...painful, after all that talk about Georgia valuing truth in the Mariner quest, but...it also feels like a consequence. She's always been up for lying in the service of saving a life, and after everything with the Mariner...well, right now she's wondering if she might've done better to make up a story so that people would listen to the Mariner and take her seriously, rather than sharing a truth that destroyed her credibility. And if lying to this guy gets him to not kill himself, then clearly that's a moral obligation to do it.
...hopefully he's not now going to assume he has improved rad resistance and get himself killed that way.

People on Twitter making an appreciation post thread about Georgia Tennant?? Like yeah she has her cool moments, but now let’s post about all of the problematic shit she’s done over the years and see how well the responses go. Idk why, WHY people obsess over their favorite actor/singer, etc’s SO when they’ve done nothing to gain that support except literally only being partners of them?? Please 🙄. Today should only be about David and cast of Good, not Georgia or anyone else!
So, for those who might've missed it, this is the thread to which the Anon is referring.
Anon, I 500% hear what you are saying, but I think there might be some context that is missing. The thread was actually started well before the awards show late last night (my time, anyway, on the East Coast of the U.S.), and was in response to some seriously deranged tweets that were made by a sick "fan" of David's yesterday:
Tumblr media
This person is also a TERF/GC who has labeled themselves the "Number One Georgia Tennant Hater," and they've continued with their disturbing tweets today and bragged about being blocked by Georgia on multiple accounts of theirs.
So that is what the appreciation post was created in response to, it seems. Again, I am completely here for calling out Georgia when and if necessary, but this person's tweets are disgusting and there is no room whatsoever for making threats of physical harm against someone and being a transphobic piece of excrement to boot. On top of everything else, it appeared that another fan who is stalking David (and Georgia) was at the Olivier Awards today and was following them around for at least a brief period, so I can't imagine how stressed out Georgia has been as a result of all this.
There is and still should be a time and place for discussing the problematic things Georgia has done, because it is important to view the people we admire as human. And I do think some people on the appreciation post have taken things a little overboard in the opposite direction, albeit in proportion to the above mentioned tweets (meeting something extremely negative with an extremely positive response). But I understand why this was the case in this particular instance.
I hope this helps to provide some context, Anon. I do feel like Georgia was wanting to celebrate David and Good tonight (especially given how subdued her outfit was next to his), and he really did shine out there on the red carpet, so that is certainly something we can all appreciate. Thanks for writing in!

Oh, so this is a test.
Georgia is...taking some risks here. Like I said, she really isn't a natural spy, and being asked to do this is enough to have her recoiling and letting more slip than she should. She's already pretty sure that she's going to kill Gabriel. It's what she'd do to any other raider leader doing what he's been doing, and given the choice between death and being dragged back to slavery...well, it's what she'd choose.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...yeah. Unfortunately, X6 didn't give her the choice. She was prepared to just kill the guy- then he said the code, and...the raider who might've deserved to die was gone. And she couldn't make herself take the shot, even telling herself it would be a mercy.
Yeah, this one is going to fuck her up. And Deacon is pretty clearly in much the same position. I feel like this one is going to end with both of them drinking inadvisably back at HQ.

...yeah, I have a horrible feeling I know what I'm going to find at the end of this one.
Not like we know for sure there's a guy with motive and opportunity out there. Or that he was probably the last person to see Paul alive or anything. I sort of wish I'd had Nick with me for this one, but...unfortunately, I was sorting out the water supply and wanted to take the rare opportunity to do something Strong likes. So, that happened.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And...yup, there it is.
This is- rough. Not just because Georgia wonders if she might've been able to prevent it by talking Paul down when she had the chance, but because of how much Darcy is taking this on herself, and-
The thing is, it's not her fault. Not really. Sure, she was having an affair, and that's not particularly laudable behaviour. But Paul was the one who decided to deal with it by confronting her lover with a gun, and Henry was the one who responded to that by killing the guy. There were other ways. Paul could've talked to Darcy. Henry- Well, okay, if he's telling the truth about Paul pulling a gun on him, it might well have been straightforward self-defence. Though I'm not entirely willing to take his word for it. Nick's right - far too many people out here see every problem as a nail, and it's hard not to see that ending with everyone dead.

how do you think Georgia is going to react to...certain revelations about her son?
I mean. I'm not there yet, I'm still trying to find a hazmat suit because I am NOT playing in power armour for an extended period. You can't make me. I hate that stuff. And I've had to give Georgia claustrophobia to explain why she hates it, too, even in the early days when it might've kept her safer.
(In her defence, you try waking up in your own coffin and finding all your neighbours died beating their fists against the glass and see if you don't develop some issues around cramped spaces.)
But- I kind of suspect she's going to break down and cry on the first loved one to meet her when she gets back. Georgia fronts with anger, most of the time. If she's afraid, she meets it with belligerence, puffing up like an angry cat to try and scare off the threat. It doesn't always work that well, but her fight or flight reflex is firmly set to 'fight'. But this- this particular horror is going to cut through all her defences, and it's going to leave her devastated. I suspect she won't have the energy left to front. Which means that all the grief she's been suppressing because it's not helpful, and being angry was useful to keep her moving but if she let herself feel the grief it would crush her...all of that comes spilling out for the first time.
But right now, that's just my guess. I'll have to see how the scene plays out and how it works in the moment.
