well he's only in mw09 and cod mobile so 😅 there's like. basically nothing to his personality in canon

he's British in mw09 and American in codm iirc but they're two separate canons and it's all very silly

in mw09 he's one of the primary player characters, faceless and voiceless per tradition. he was a sergeant in 141 under Soap, worked a bunch of ops with him and a few with Ghost and a couple with Price. you can find a list on the wiki

I personally am very fond of American Roach. southern Roach my beloved. I think he deserves to be yeehaw. giving him a small town upbringing and no one can stop me

I also think he deserves to be a weapons expert for two reasons. 1) southerner, 2) as the pc he's equally competent with every weapon he gets his hands on. good for him

honestly a lot of how I think about him is influenced by how I play mw09. scrappy in a fight, plenty willing to smack a mf with his gun, deeply sarcastic commentary, aversion to stealth missions, etc etc

cough. ghostroach go brr. they rile each other The Fuck Up. Ghost is a proven hardass but what I like about 09 Ghost is that it's fully plausible that he's also got a sense of humor, no one traipses around in that mask with those glasses without a sense of humor

and that combination resonates at the same frequency as Roach from my brain. insults as flirting but they both know it's flirting. refusal to cede an inch of ground when Ghost is in hardass mode. frantic desperation and also quiet, fragile intimacy. so much trust

Roach from my brain also has immense, bottomless respect for Soap. that's his captain that's his buddy he'd follow him into hell. blind trust that gets reinforced every time Soap doesn't get them all killed

more wary of Price! Price is a little unhinged! no lack of respect, he's just MonkaHmm squinting a bit. morbid curiosity about just how far he'd go

there's no proof that Roach wasn't around when Gaz was so I'll run with it. Gaz was an inspiration to him. his unhingedness was fine by Roach because crucially, Gaz wasn't a captain. I miss Gaz

I recently redrew my subclass ocs! Every. Single. One.

So here's all of em

oh also some of the Svs have outfit changes or little things added on or like bits of redesign

also warning:there's gonna be mentions of death and ways people die so just a fair warning

here's Nyx, Kuro's subclass! They died in the Trojan war as a bystander (why was Kuro in Greece?... I don't know man...) so now they kinda go and do their own thing but they go to bother Kuro every once in a while. They often travel during the day by wearing tons of white (for less sun absorption) and covering all of their skin. They also have a bad habit of talking without thinking.

next is Amira who's Hugh's subclass! She died in a car "accident" shortly after her kid passed away. She's quite motherly towards the people around her and her bag contains anything you could possibly imagine.

Then it's CeeCee! (Fun fact I've drawn her 4 years in a row) she died because she was in a witch trial [she rejected a girl {this was prior to CeeCees transition} and the girl accused her of witchcraft] and she's very attached to JeJe and is all over him half of the time. [Mikuni is jealous... Little does he know JeJe has no interest in women {hc} and CeeCee has a gf]

Then there's Irene who's Freya's subclass! She died in a war because she crossed dressed to get in and died on the battle field [forgot to give her an animal motif...] due to her injuries she has to wear hearing aids and she freaks out about loud noises and paints to cope

Next is Jonathan! He died because he got drunk one night and might've accidentally outed himself... So... He was murdered... He also likes to cook a lot and he owns an immortal puppy (don't ask I can't handle him losing a dog.) named Diablo! He's also a massive hopeless romantic.

Now there's Anita (pink) and Catherine (red) ! They're Ildio's subclasses! Anita died because she was a lady of the night and a client made her uncomfortable w his requests so she refused and he killed her. Now she's kind of hostile to really anyone new around her. She's also a massive chain smoker-

Catherine was arranged to be married to a mentally and physically abusive man who killed the actual love of her life. So on her wedding day she shot herself and now enjoys praying on people for blood so- but she's a lot nicer than Anita.

This is Lilian she's Lily's subclass and honestly looks like a ghost Victorian child. My friend suggested making a character albino but I might have made her too white.... But I thought it was interesting and made her stand out more so I kept it. She died due to starvation and neglect form her parents. Her older sister who was only about a year or two older was doing her best to keep her alive but there was only so much she could do. Now the two live in the mansion and her sister works there and is still alive.

Lastly we have Wisteria who's Tsubaki's subclass! They died by oding shortly after their family was brutally murdered. Now they kinda people watch for fun and flirt with Tsubaki for shits and giggles and is purely here now for the ride.

And ways this concludes my redesigns on my ocs and redesigns on some of the Svs (let's be real it's like almost all of them)

1. hetero | bi | gay | pan | gray | ace- I think he's largely pragmatic in his sexuality- it's a tool for him like any other thing to keep him alive as a spy, and also I think he's more open minded and sees people, not genders.

2. cis m | trans mtf | trans ftm | non-binary- cis m

3. slut | sexually experienced | barely experienced | virgin | celibate- sexually experienced: not sure he could have survived the death eaters without being forced to participate in a revel or two. Don't think he could afford to be a slut as it would make him vulnerable to too many strangers. Equally in certain fics I can certainly HC him as a virgin/celibate as he struggles to trust others.

4. dominant | switch | submissive | vanilla: absolutely a switch. public persona is dominant, but when he finds someone he really trusts he can slide happily into subspace

5. drinks heavily | drinks occasionally | social drinker only | never drinks: a spy would never survive bingeing regularly, but he can hold his ale. every now and then something gets through his armour and hangover potions are needed, but only when he is safe to drink to excess without endangering himself or the mission.

6. chain smoker | on-and-off smoker | smoked at one point | never touched a cigarette in his life: he was a teenager in the 70s with a working class father- I'd be shocked if he never smoked in his life, but soon kicked the habit once Lucius found out about his dirty muggle ciggies. He found himself hankering for a smoke on the night after he killed Dumbledore, but he keeps control of himself too rigidly to let himself lapse like that.

7. potions addicted | sometimes self-medicates | refuses to take anything: Snape is a pragmatists through and through. He can't afford to be dependent on anyone or anything, so a potions addiction would be reckless. equally he can't have non order members aware of his illicit actions for voldemort, so self medication becomes necessary every now and then if he is going to be able to get and teach in the morning after a round of cruciatus.

8. short | slightly below average | average height | slightly above average | tall: Able to tower over most people, but not freakishly tall. Hunches over to blend into a crowd when needed.

9. emaciated | underweight | healthy skinny | lean muscular | dad bod | thicc: years of hauling cauldrons has given him strong back and shoulder muscles. stalking up and down corridors, and marching up and down the stairs to and from the dungeons gave him great legs, and he secretly does a bit of yoga and body weight exercise so he has the physical stamina needed for a prolonged duel/ hand to hand combat if needed. He keeps it all hidden under his robes so he has a hidden advantage.

10. always robed | muggle clothes when strictly necessary | muggle clothes when in muggle society | muggle clothes at every opportunity: has a secret stash of muggle clothes no one knows about so he can hide in the muggle world at a moments notice.

11. very neat & organized | a little cluttered | total slob: he knows which pile everything should be in, always working on 15 different potions and a few new spells. also knows it's harder for someone to hide they have been sneaking through his stuff if it's not perfectly organised.

12. early to bed & early to rise | habitual night owl | incurable insomniac: Voldemort has a nasty habit of summoning his followers at 3am, so Snape's body clock has adjusted over the years so he is ready and awake. Double agents always burn the candle at both ends.

13. heavy sleeper | light sleeper | wakes up 20 times a night: not someone to be caught with their pants down at short notice.

14. back sleeper | stomach sleeper | side sleeper | always switching- no sign of vulnerability, even in sleep

The oil is actually a potion of his own making that covers his skin and hair, preventing anyone from getting a sample illicitly and using it to polyjuice into him. After the war he no longer needed to use it, and everyone started noticing his glowy skin and shiny hair 😍
