Okay, I usually try to stay away from the drama but I was at ground zero for this one, even commented on the original reddit post.
So here's what happened.
Someone from tumblr saw a sim DemureFeather made and wanted to know where the dress was from, because although DemureFeather put the sim together they didn't actually make any of the CC. Futher, DemureFeather has it on their tumblr that they are NOT wcif friendly, and did not link any of the CC. So, someone took a screenshot of the sim and posted it on reddit asking if anyone knew where to find the dress, gloves, etc.
DemureFeather proceeded to comment several times, quite upset that the poster didn't give credit to her, the maker of the Sim, even though the only reason they were posting is because DemureFeather didn't bother to credit the CC makers...
Tons of people started pointing this hypocrisy out and DemureFeather doubled and tripled down. She honestly didn't seem to grasp that it's weird as fuck to get pissy about not getting credit for dressing up a sim when the whole reason someone was posting was because SHE wasn't giving credit to the CC makers, people that actually MADE something.
Now, I obviously can't speak to anything happening in DMs, and I don't condone telling someone to kill themselves. But I was in the reddit post, and all anyone did was try to explain to her why she was behaving hypocritical and rude, and thus was being called out.
And what I haven't seen, is DemureFeather indicate she understands why people felt the need to call her out at all. She seems to have learned nothing, other than how to play a first class victim with shit like, "I'll never post sims again! I'll quit the game!!"
... Or you could just not flip your shit when someone asks around because you didn't bother to credit. Seems easier, but idk.
So, again, I don't condone harassment or telling someone to kill themselves - if you're doing that, stop - but I also can't condone playing the victim when people are just calling out your hypocrisy, either.

If it gives any peace of mind the rumor is he sold ipl and isn’t involved heavily in p3’s development due to addiction related problems. Though I understand that really doesn’t make it any easier to stomach and I feel a similar amount of disgust. It’s all very upsetting and genuinely wouldn’t blame you if you distance yourself from the series as a whole
In the conversation screenshots where he's financially threatning his wife after physically abusing her, he has a black and white picture of himself as his WhatsApp profile.
It's taken in the same black and white style of the Pathologic Classic portraits.
Does he think he's a video game character? Does he ever stop sucking his own dick to realise how vile the things he did? The physical abuse? The grooming?
What a fucking joke of a person, to think I ever respected him as a writer. As a creator. What a pretentious self-centered piece of shit. He created one decent story, and that suddenly means he's the genius of the century? It's just one fucking game. These are real people with real lives involved.
He referred to the son he kidnapped as "his favourite son." since he has other children with different women. What a sick individual.
I don't know what I feel. I feel angry, disgusted, cheated, and horrified. I feel nothing but immense empathy for Renata. I hope she's in a safe place with her son. I hope her son's recovery goes well. I have a niece his age, just the thought of her going through that is making me tear up.
I'll definitely distance myself from Pathologic for a while. I'll keep on eye on this case and follow its development. I hope Ice-pick lodge seperate themselves from him moving forward.
The reddit account of u/thelxr who claims to have worked on P1 and P2 have said the following.
"he is not the studio, and isn't involved much in development since The Void - do NOT take out your anger on the talanted and good people working of Pathologic 3"
The original source and full-length comment are under the cut
But Ice-pick lodge, the company, the developers of the game, the writers, the everything. They don't deserve to be punished for his actions. Likewise, I don't feel comfortable giving money to a company knowing any of it might end up in the pockets of this shithead, since at the end he owns the IP, even if he isn't involved in the current development of P3. I feel conflicted.
This is an old case and not something that suddenly popped up after the announcement of P3. There are evidence, pictures of real people, and legal documents. It's very unlikely any of this is false, but if it is, I'll go back and edit these posts to clarify. However, I won't delete them.
As a former colleague (I worked on Pathologic 1, The Void, Cargo, and a bit of uncredited work on Pathologic 2), I am sad to confirm, that this is most likely true. There is a link to follow the ongoing court considering the child alimony payments, and it looks like there will be another one, considering recent occusations. (As link to Russian websites are banned, see original source in the mod comment. You will need a VPN to go further down the first link in the post to see the court progress, or use google translate on that link to bypass the need for VPNs)
I know Nikolay well, from at least 2006, and unfortunatelly his "misbehaviours" have been an open secret for a long time, on which I didn't comment for two reasons. One - he is not the studio, and isn't involved much in development since The Void - do NOT take out your anger on the talanted and good people working of Pathologic 3. Second - I've been kind of a coward, until I've learnt in 2018 or so, that a girlfriend of mine was also groomed by him, while we were still dating, and since then I broke all ties with Nikolay.
He has been a raging, violent and erratic alcoholic, a sociopath and a pathological liar all these years. I personally know at least 10 people who he harmed directly in relation to public accusations (but it's their stories to tell, not mine). He is a manipulative sociopath, that is very good with words, another reason why these stories only surfaced now.
The reason I'm speaking up right now is because I figured that after the last ephebophilia and grooming accusations, that cost him his job as a univercity teacher, and danger of going to court, he would change his ways. But things have gotten worse and more rotten since then.
There isn't a reliable "reputation institution" in Russian gamedev, but it must start at some point.
I believe the best path for Nikolay would be to leave Ice-Pick Lodge to not tarnish their reputation with his own fuckups, and leave the current studio to work as is - they're doing a great job on Pathologic 3, and they once again should NOT be harrassed for a single person's misdeeds.

Definetely noticed how much I am learning about the game through trial and error. Some details I just don't notice, until a certain moment where it clicks in my head.
Earlier this morning I rewatched the videos from the developers and noticed they did show closeups of a few crew members, including Muir and I was like- Wait, that's him!
I remember watching that video before, but not quite understanding who these characters were, or maybe the way they got rendered threw me off.
Seeing how much I am learning here makes me wonder, how come I don't do the same with other topics? There is so much I could learn, if I had the motivation or the drive. It's hard on some days.
Either way, I feel like making a small post for myself with various links/image references. At one point I have to make a mega post to link each of my research posts, so that it's easier to pinpoint.
Here are some face closeups of a few crew members
Innes (I am sorry everyone it looks like he's half bald)*
Gibbo - Gibson
Muir
Brodie, Edit: I think the two images are actually Dobbie? But I'll check up on this in the future again
O'Conner (This one was a bit hard to identify, but some folk on discord helped me)
Roper
Video Source:
youtube
*In the Cantines I noticed another person that looks similar to the model, that I linked to Innes. Tho that person wears a red suit, while Innes wears blue. Tho I still think the above pictures fit for Innes, we never get to see him without his hat. So it's hard to say for me.
Helpful Link for the Achievements (scroll down for a List of Achievement Timestamps):
(I still need 3 of them)
Ripped 3D Models on Sketchfab (You need an account to view Muir, Addair, Trots and Rennick):
What I also did was looking through reddit to find tiny pieces of information here and there. I am not sure how deep I want to dive in for this game, considering it's quite time consuming to check small details (replaying the entire game again each time). But here are two Screenshots I grabbed from TheChineseRoom's comments on Reddit.
And of course their Youtube Channel has a bunch of Videos about Behind the Scenes. Quite interesting listening through them. Helps me to get a small glimpse into the Industry and how things work.
I think I have rambled for long enough, I gotta tidy up XD Been posting so much about this game, hope it doesn't get annoying.
Either way, if anyone has something else to add to this, feel free to tell me.

Okay. Those who know me know that I’m not the type of person that likes to make serious posts. But this situation has been on my radar since Wednesday, and has turned into borderline harassment.
This is a warning to be wary of the Naruto anon rpers.
This is not a call to attack anyone. This is not a call to harass anyone. This is a warning. Trigger Warning: Harrasment, Death threats, SA threats, Stalking and Abuse will be mentioned under the cut. If you can not handle these topics, feel free to not click read more. However, it would be appreciated if you relogged this post to spread awareness.
Some people may already be aware that I used to interact with this group, and be on friendly terms with Sasukeanon, but not anymore. I have blocked most of them, and they may have already blocked me as well by now. Honestly? I'm just disappointed. So around January 30th, someone sent a hate post to Hidan anon mentioning a few of their fellow blogs. Understandable, they mentioned Kisame anon to ask them what was going on, as they have also recently been getting hate.
They're trying to figure out who this possibly could be, but then out of nowhere, Orochimaru's anon says this:
To which??? Okay, some people just type similar to each other? I've seen it happen. Anyway, when Kisame tries to explain that they've had problems with people in the past and listing off who it could have been, Sasuke comes in with this:
How they came to this conclusion, I don't know. But they then suddenly start going on a tirade and start making threats.
This took me off guard. I knew Sasuke could be harsh in some of their posts, which made me uncomfortable, but this was the first time I've seen them jump to death threats. This is no way to talk to someone. Especially when you have no evidence against. And don't have any evidence, because all you have done is claim things, never show proof, and then harass Kisame further (along with your friends) when they were trying to prove their innocence to everyone. Even in posts that had nothing to do with any of you!
(Note that Sasuke's mod was handling Hidan's blog at the time of this)
You keep saying that Kisame has been sending death threats and SA threats yet show no proof to back up your claims when someone confronts you on it. Instead, insult them. And type in all caps to try and be intimidating.
These were in response to cherrypiesakurokun's posts on the matter, as like me they have also been talking to Kisame about what has been happening. The top one was after the Naruto anon blog added them in a callout and basically implied they were a death threats/SA threat defender. All because what? They tried to be supportive and wanted everyone to make up? I agree that they probably shouldn't have jumped in, but that's not fair.
The blog you claim that is Kisame's main isn't even her main. This is her main. She linked me her Reddit account to prove this.
Do these blogs look remotely the same??? The threats you claim were sent by Kisame to herself hold critical information that held her real name and where she lives. Why would someone do to themselves, risk doxing themselves? It doesn't make any sense. She's sent me proof of that as well, but I will not be showing them here because that is private information. Kisame told me that she gave you her discord, you could have asked her what was going on. But you never did. You just jumped to conclusions.
When I asked Kisame about the threats that were being, her conclusion was that it was from her stalker ex boyfriend, who's she's been gathering evidence of for doing the same behaviour. She's informed me that she's currently trying to get a restraining order. I've been given permission to show these screenshots.
Congratulations on harassing a victim of stalking and abuse. But if that wasn't vile enough, the night Kisame's mother was taken to the hospital, and they explained they'd be offline because of it, Sasuke, still using Hidan's blog, said this:
This was vile. Fucking vile, and was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I blocked as many of the blogs I could. Like I said, I'm disappointed. Sad, even. Sasuke was one of the first blogs who'd interacted with me, and i thought they were nice. It seemed like I was wrong though. As I mentioned before, this isn't an attack. This is simply to warn others about the kind of people they will be interacting with should they come across the anon group.
#ooc#say it louder for the people in the back (psa)#tw: stalking#tw: harrasment#tw: abuse#tw: abuse mention#tw: threats#please reblog#//I was nervous to make this I admit#//mainly because of the group#//but I am not letting someone else get harassed off this website#//if they are gonna come at me so be it

About the latest Daeron leaks
If you haven't heard yet, there's a new leak regarding Daeron, and as the resident Daeron the Daring investigator, I thought I'd talk about it.
So what do we know and where do these leaks come from? Well, the leaks orignate from 4Chan, so already a dubious source.
Now, I want to start off by saying who Sacha Vodegel Matzen is. On his IMdb page, he is credited for 02x01. I even screenshotted the part where his name shows up in the credits:
This is further proven by this Reddit comment by Tall-Bluejay-4925. The comment links to West London Drama Training that Sacha is signed to announcing that he's been cast in an HBO series and will be kept busy for several months, and then another saying that he finished on a post dated back from 6 weeks ago.
Now, the credits don't give us any information as to who he is playing, the only info we get is that he's in the co-starring section of the credits. This is the same part of the credits that Elliot and Luke (Arryk and Erryck) and Sam C. Wilson and Mark Stobbart (Blood and Cheese) are respectively. This Reddit post wondering if Sacha is the servant who is escorting Jaehaerys out of the Small Council chamber, but it was kinda hard for me to tell since we don't see the face.
I will note that I did go and check the credits for episode 2 and I didn't see his name pop up. I do find this interesting since West London Drama Training said that he will be kept busy for several months in their initial Instagram post, so perhaps he might show up in other episodes.
But now I just want to talk about where the leak came from. As I said earlier, the leak came from 4Chan, in which users can anonymously post whatever they want. Have there been leaks originating from 4Chan in the past that have been correct? Yes, I'm pretty sure there have been, but considering the overall nature of the website, I wouldn't be surprised if it was false. Remeber, the site is anonymous, so users can say whatever they want regardless if the info is accurate, so take this with a heavy grain of salt.
We also have to remember that leakers with some level of accurate credibility have stated that Daeron is NOT in season 2. We also have to remember that Ryan Condal has stated A) that Daeron has yet to be cast, B) Daeron has a dragon and B) that Alicent and Criston's physical relationship happened AFTER Viserys died. Could Ryan be lying and was saying that all for show? Yes, that is a posibility. But considering all the information we do have, I'm choosing to believe in Condal's statements. You can disagree of course, that is up to you.
I also find the way that the anonymous user describes Sara and Ryan's relationship to be a little odd. There's also no way to confirm whether or such statements are true or not, so they could just be talking out of their ass on that one.
But now that I have shown you the info and discussed my own interpretation, I am curious as to what you think.

*there's a pitty-pat next to your door. an envelop gets stuck under it - it's a very thick envelop - and a pitty pat going back*
*as you unstick the envelop, you realize it's full of cash. you browse through the bills, that seem as true as any you'd get at the bank of america, but... one isn't a bill. it's a piece of paper with, written on it:*
"You'll get the other half if you crack this case. We've got a missing post and we'd like the hellsite detective to take it on. Search for the long chain of reblogs that tries to make people guess a common point between images. You'll find among these common points 'name is the same sound repeated twice', 'ennemy is a wolf', etc. But see, that's where it will become more complicated."
*you turn it around to keep reading*
"the last few reblogs are the OP saying 'and what is the link between all these -common points- to find?' and someone else finally guessing that link. It's all, somehow, related to Moon Moon. You can keep the cash if you fail to crack the case or if you refuse to take it on. But I'm sure you won't refuse that sum"
lookin' at the money i was handed already, and the promise of more upon completion of this case, i simply had to take it on. so, i began my search. i went to see Google at the Search Bar and asked them for this post. i tried askin' for so many different combinations of words but nothin' was comin' up. until eventually i asked for "tumblr moon moon common point." i was then handed a screenshot on reddit that showed me exactly what i wanted. so, i went to the address of the last post in the chain to see what i could find.
i tried searchin' every possible keyword i could think of. but nothin' was yieldin' results for me. so, about to throw in the towel, i decided to check one more thing. the tags on the post. now, not all the tags were visible in the post. but i could just barely make out part of the final tag. it read "hellsite..." now, there's only one person i know who ends tag chains with somethin' startin' with "hellsite."
so i paid a visit to Madame Curator over at the @hellsite-hall-of-fame. i did a quick search for one of the previous tags and found the post instantly. i filed it away...
here you are! the post you requested! i'll be takin' the rest of that cash! my ko-fi is linked in my bio (/j you don't have to actually pay me haha) have a great day!
Post Case: Closed
#that was a joke btw#never feel like you have to pay me for what i do#i do this out of the kindness of my heart first and foremost#and because this hellsite doesn't have a working search bar#moon moon#ask#hellsite detective#post case closed

okay! percontation point/rhetorical question mark investigation has been done! i am putting this under a read-more because it's super long but if this causes accessibility issues please tell me lol (i don't remember if it does but i am trying to make my original posts more accessible so...)
tl;dr for anyone who doesn't read the whole thing, i basically just looked through some really old scans to prove the origins of the percontation point (and that sounds really boring but maybe it's interesting? it would be more interesting if progressive punctuation would email me back lol)
. ? ! , : ; ' " – — - · ... [ ] { } ( ) / < >
22/22
bonus:
⁂ * † ‡ ⁓ ~ & ⸺ ❦ ⸮ ‽
11/20
so basically, this is related to this post* i reblogged a bit ago because something about the graphic on it was bothering me... here's the graphic in question btw
[image id: a picture with nine punctuation marks in three rows of three. the first row has (from left to right) the acclamation point which looks like an exclamation mark with two stems pointing in sort of a v shape from the dot, an exclamation comma which looks like an exclamation mark with a comma instead of a dot, and an interrobang which is a question mark with an exclamation mark laid over it. the second row has the love point which looks like a question mark with two of the top parts put together to form a heart, a friendly period which looks like a period with a curved line underneath it, and an authority point which looks like an exclamation mark with a curved line perched atop it. the third line contains a rhetorical question mark which is a backwards inverted question mark, a doubt point which looks like a question mark with the top part shaped more like a cursive z, and a question comma which is a question mark with the dot replaced with a comma. end id.]
so, i've done a lot of research on irony punctuation throughout my days—whether it be to argue with a reddit comment or just for punctuation day reasons—and i would say i know a lot about irony punctuation (of which rhetorical questions fall under i guess? according to wikipedia at least)
so, that post was bothering me because the rhetorical punctuation mark i know is the percontation point (⸮) invented by henry denham in the 1580s & the mark used on the post was an inverted form of this
now, here was the easy investigation on who made this graphic. i already said so in the tags of the post, it was by progressive punctuation; they even have a specific page on their website with this information. now when i saw the rhetorical question mark they used, my first thought was, "maybe they're talking about a different rhetorical question mark" but then...
[image id: a screenshot from the progressive punctuation webpage on the rhetorical question mark. it says that the inventor is henry denham, it was invented in the 1580s, and it was invented in london. end id.]
see, so here's the real problem. they're citing it from henry denham when his mark doesn't look like that. so then i did the logical thing and tried to find where henry denham even printed this thing in the first place. and that's where the fun(?) part begins.
❦
so, i have a range in the time periods i'm looking for (⁓1580–1589) and i have a name (henry denham). first question: who's henry denham?
the answer isn't that interesting but it's contextually helpful. henry denham was, suprise suprise, a printer from england. allegedly he's iconic but the most i can find about him is that he's a printer and he invented the percontation point. one website (link) claims the use of the point to be from around 1575–1625 which is kinda not 1580s but. i don't know what the deal with that is. (if i figure it out, i'll explain it) and attributes it to either henry denham OR the translator anthonie gilbie (and denham was apparently his printer?? idk man this is a whole web of shit)
so, who's anthonie gilbie? firstly, the only things i could find were for anthony gilby and not some guy with a weird -ie but that's not really relevant because the guy is also a translator from 16th century england so like. i don't think that's likely they were two separate people. so, anthony gilby is a radical puritan who translated the geneva bible into english. the geneva bible is one of the oldest english language bibles, predating the king james bible by around 51 years so i guess that makes anthony gilby pretty important. shakespeare used it, cromwell used it, milton used it, it's a big deal. gilby only translated the old testament, another guy called william whittingham translated the new testament so that does narrow down the thing slightly
but also, i'm not reading the fucking bible again especially not in old english so. i want to narrow it down more.
and that means we're going back to henry denham ! yay! since the source i was using was the only one that provided anything at all on the origins of the percontation point, i went back to it to see what else it had to say. and what it had to say was that there were two examples, one was the psalms of david† (in roman font) and the other was a book called tragicall tales (in blackletter font). so with those being our only two leads, we have to follow them.
⁂
so i search up "psalms of david 1581" to see if i can find a scan. and the first thing i find is a 1581 enchiridion on the psalms of david (1st edition) that's 795$. yikes. luckily i don't think that's the one but that certainly did freak me out since it was from the same year and shit. anyways. the online geneva bible has 150 chapters of psalms so we'll just talk about tragicall tales first
now what the absolute f⸺ is tragicall tales? and to that i say. well. i don't really know.
except, jk i do apparently know now! tragicall tales was a novel written by a man called george tuberville‡ and published in 1587, and while i can't find any direct statements that it was denham that invented it, it is in blackletter font and printed the same year as the article said so... i think it's a safe assumption to make that this was denham's work. the next thing to do would be to find tragicall tales which i wasn't too excited for given the last time i tried to find a book for this it was almost $800 dollars.
but i struck gold. not only did i find a copy on archive.org (link), i also found a typed out version (link) but the punctuation there is badly transcribed in my opinion so. take what you will from it but. idk man i think i found the right stuff. so without further ado:
and while this is probably the oldest crustiest scan ever and also 400 pages long, i did find something! yay!
[image id: five screenshots from the internet archive scan of tragicall tales, each containing a backwards question mark aka a percontation point. end id.]
now, i know looking at this, it's kinda hard to tell what's going on due to the quality of the scan, typeface, and other stuff, but i'll break it down real quick. the percontation points here are after the words wife, fame/same (it's probably a long s but it looks more like fame if that helps), about, will, and wife again. i tried to get a few that have normal question marks in them to prove what i'm talking about (they're in the second, fourth, and fifth screenshots) you see em? cool, because my eyes might fall out of my face with how long i had to look for these. good lird.
but what about the inverted one? now, i did scour this as hard as i could and the closest one i could find was this
[image id: a screenshot from tragicall tales reading "la mia donna bella è buona". end id.]
but at the same time, the typed version has that as an è and not punctuation of any kind and while i don't agree with the typed version 100% i do think that makes more sense. so there. that's all we got out of tragicall tales. back to psalms!
❦
i was very excited to read this.~ (that's a snark mark btw. i was not) i already had to read the bible once recently for ... reasons? (i'm not super religious) and that was the new american bible not a fucking bible in middle english. so. this is somehow worse. and yet. i ended up trying my best to find it
now seemingly it slipped my mind that unless there was a scanned copy of an original it would likely not have the mark i was looking for because i looked for ages. it was a fucking nightmare. psalms sucks especially geneva psalms. but, archive.org came to my rescue yet again. and let me tell you. it still didn't help
firstly, the geneva bible looks like this.
[image id: a screenshot of a scan of the geneva bible. it has two columns of text along with notes off to the side and footnotes. it is written in middle english. end id.]
if you're lucky (?) the geneva bible looks like this
[image id: another screenshot of a different scan of the geneva bible with a similar layout but it is more yellowed and fancier. end id.]
yes, i looked at two different scans of the same book sue me. or don't preferably. but this did give me one clarifying idea of what i was doing wrong. the article i had referenced said that the question mark was in roman font. the main text of the geneva bible seems to be in blackletter. so i had to look in the side columns. and look in the side columns i did. and yet, that didn't seem to help any either (if anyone wants to look the first one is linked here and the second is linked here; i don't think they're in there though in hindsight)
and yet, there was one last place to search. the psalms of david truly opened and explained by theodore beza. a completely different text by anthony gilby (and his name has the -ies in it in the scans i can find of this so that's also a good omen) and it's still david psalms so i hunted it down. and great news
[image id: a picture of the first page of the psalms of david truly opened and explained by theodore beza. it has the translator listed as anthonie gilbie and printers listed as richard yardley and peter short. it is extremely brown and looks very old. end id.]
it's an even older looking book! (though to be fair, the geneva bible was older they probably just reprinted it more often) (i found it here if that's anything)
quick intro to people: theodore beza was a french calvinist who lived in geneva. he's not really important to this story. peter short and richard yardley were printers who worked for the stationers' company (aka the worshippers company of stationers aka the worshipful company of stationers and newspaper makers) and i will get back to that.
so now we're getting... somewhere? i mean, this book does have cool wood cuttings right?
[image id: a picture of a wood cutting of a man kneeling in front of a book, with light and a fancy frame. end id.]
but does it have percontation points?
[image id: a picture from the psalms of david truly opened and explained by theodore beza. it has two percontation points in it. end id.]
oh hell the fuck yes it has them. look at that! two of em right there! that solves that mystery. and i didn't even have to look at the geneva bible. but it's fineee <- didn't want to look at the geneva bible but whatever
but where's henry denham?
like first of all, the article i was using said "1581" for the psalms thing so either that's a different psalms with percontation points in it or something got screwed up because also... the printers are names on here and neither of them are denham, especially considering the book came out in 1590 and denham quit publishing in 1589 (or maybe 1591? it's unclear). they also confusingly say he was succeeded by short and yardley and while i can't find anything about yardley, i do know that denham also worked for the stationers' company so they were at least colleagues in the printing business . so this isn't denham is seems but also... he did make the percontation point in 1587 in the tragicall tales so i don't think it's a question of inventing it, that was probably still denham. there might be another psalms out there with percontation points in it but who knows? i really don't think we need more proof when we say that this -> ⸮ is the percontation point :}

so where the fuck did this other one come from‽ because if i know one thing it's that progressive punctuation has generally been right... so what's the deal with that?
of course i did the only logical thing and emailed them. i hate emails but i did it anyways. for you (if people don't reblog this just for the sheer effort i will be mildly saddened. here's a secret interpunct for you for reading all this shit. -> ·)
and of course, i didn't get an email back immediately which was disappointing. in fact, as i post this, i still haven't gotten an email from them (i waited like a week but if they do email me back i'll update you)
so anyways, then what did we learn if i never got an email back? how to do dumb research for a day and learn absolutely nothing new? i mean i actually kinda don't know how to conclude this now that i think about it. i guess we learned that henry denham probably invented the percontation point and that maybe we should start using it more often. and that you should check infographics you see online, i guess? maybe don't check them this intensely though because. that was a lot. :{
* don't you dare go harass the op i swear i will kill you if you do
† apparently these aren't by david according to most scholars but whatever
‡ unrelated as far as i am aware to tommy tuberville, a u.s. senator from arkansas. he seems to be kind of an asshole but i'm not from arkansas so i don't really have an opinion
#original posts#punctuation#okay i finally waited the seven days i promised hope this is interesting to anyone but me lol

In this post on the Insider Gaming article and this post on the Reddit screenshot etc leaks (spoiler warning for DA:D at links), I mentioned comments made by possible playtesters/similar folks on Reset Era from October 2022. since I referenced them and many people don't use that site, I thought I'd belatedly collect them here for reference. under a cut in case of DA:D spoilers -
first, the usual set of disclaimers that should be kept in mind with all leaks: might not be real, unable to verify at present, sometimes leakers think they’re right about things but are unintentionally incorrect or got some wires crossed, games change a fair bit between development phases and final release, take with grain of salt etc.
User: "Important to remember that this doesn’t mean the game is anywhere close to release. Still plenty to do and plenty that will be changed between now and release." Possible playtester or person who has otherwise seen or heard about the game (hereafter notating these users as "PP" for brevity): "At the very least I like the gameplay direction they are taking is better than the previous games, and they have a clear direction of where they want this game to go. Although I have always preferred actions rpgs, and am looking forward to the inspiration they took for combat." - PP2: "Folks should be excited but also expect a smaller scale game, plenty of people on the team have 'complained' that it doesn't feel AAA in scope." [...] "I would say just dont go in expecting something other WRPG are producing in terms of game size...if that makes sense lol" - User: "Totally fine, it sounds like it's gonna be a better version of Dragon Age 2, with fleshed out city + surroundings" PP1: "This is not a good description of DAD." - User: "For the love of the Maker, bring back the Darkspawn." PP1: "They did." - User: "I haven't been paying attention. Are they bringing back tactics, or are they leaning more towards the awesome button?" PP2: "They're leaning toward God of War/ Mass Effect over the shoulder combat." - User: "is it open world or splitted in several areas?" PP1: "Only saw certain linear zones, but whether it is all DAO/2 style zones or mixed open and linear zones like DAI is up in the air. I would prefer the latter with less grinding required to progress like everyone else of course." - User: "That's a bit disapointing, but as long as they have a coherent direction, it's still better than the last 2 game's attempt at spliting the baby in twain" PP1: "GOW 2018 style melee, so not mash button for success but timing, combos, mixing up skills, and playing on your build/skill strengths." - User: "ok but I need Knight Enchanter mage or gish equivalent" PP1: "I think with each class you choose at the beginning you can end up with three subclasses." - User: "Was what you played still party-based?" PP1: "Party commands were disabled, so how much control you have is also an unknown." -
User: "Does one [class] include a magical archer, something beyond the Tempest specialization in scope?" PP1: "Well my base class was a warrior type so there was no access to ranger or mage types, but the warrior does have a magic subclass." - User: "Oh wild lol. I thought this kind of stuff is usually under lots of NDA or something similar" PP1: "It is, helps that no one has leaked screenshots or footage." - User: "I figure you can’t say exactly when it happened, but given your mention of party commands being disabled, it guess it happened after the report of last year about the game shifting to a full SP experience, correct? It seems the action-based gameplay that was lightly teased by some devs before remained even when the game shifted to SP, given your impressions." PP1: "Yes, any part I have seen of the game was after that. This part is speculation, if they have open zones like DAI they can still pull off a live service similar to the last three AC games and it would have no effect on people strictly coming to the game for the story. I would even go as far as saying this might be positively received if they only have cosmetic BPs and mtx." - User: "I think dlcs of various forms, from story to outfits/weapon will still happen; even before, when the game was mentioned to be a live service one, they used DAO as something that already fit that definition. The game won’t go beyond that scope in terms of ‘live service’ though, given how much they’re starting DreadWolf is a full SP experience. Interestingly, from the blog update and the lead developer afterwards, ME seems to follow the same path." PP1: "Yeah I think dlc in terms of story expansions are a lock. If they ever want to tread the live service waters again, there is a great template for them to follow." - User: "the neon colored logo has me thinking this might go a very different direction than typical fantasy" PP1: "Not really." - PP1: "The second one [DAII] was quite literally hold a button to attack since the game was easy. The new one is not at all like that." - User: "Or if Dreadwolf even has a party-based system?" PP1: "Yes"
[source <- DA:D spoiler warning for link]
Notes: Posts from October 2022. Some of the stuff said is corroborated by the Reddit leak (e.g. no control of party members at timepoint when game was played, the part of the game that was made available to test being a linear zone). in some places PPs are speculating. and ofc screenshots/a bit of footage has now leaked on Reddit the other day.

hey your post reminded me that i heard several post mention the alecto wedding and i don't have a clue what that refers to, i imagine it's a tamsyn muir interview thing?
this ask remided me that i don't actually know, it's just something i've heard enough people talk about that i've accepted it as true, so i went looking.
apparently at some panel or con or something, a fan asked her to sign their copies with out of context spoilers. there's a reddit thread about it which is the first result when you google anything related to this, and it contains a link to pictures, but they're on twitter and (surprise, surprise) the website gave me an error message when i tried to click it. did a couple more searches tho, and found a screenshot :)
image got pretty corrupted by tumblr (i swear it was legible when i downloaded it) but on the first picture, it says "There is a wedding in #4," and on the second one it says, "There are bad dresses in #4," both with tazmuir's signature! so yeah, that's where this came from.
#also apparently she once said that arranged marraiges are one of her favorite literary tropes so ueah#to my mind that really bolsters the ianthe theory#asks#alecto the ninth pregame

Screenshotting because it's not rebloggable anymore (omitting OP's name for that reason) but this post - more specifically the replies to it - have been bothering me since I saw it a day or so ago and I finally decided to come back and engage lmao. (Source link from OP)
OP's totally right. OpenAI is a garbage company with garbage business practices but this is not the way to do this, people. I'm glad y'all have so much faith in the legal system here, but I don't, and if this goes through it's not going to harm the entities you want it to harm. believe me.
(i am not against AI when used ethically but i think that is a moot point here bc i do not believe OpenAI is an ethical developer of AI tech. anyway)
Here's the "rebuttal" that has been irritating me so much I couldn't leave it alone:
THIS IS NOT REMOTELY TRUE.
First of all, unless I've missed something big, OpenAI has never disclosed the contents of the proprietary dataset they use to train their LLMs. We have no idea whether ChatGPT was trained on George RR Martin's books or not. Presumably, neither does George RR Martin. So all we have to go on is that ChatGPT "knows" characters and details from ASOIAF. Okay.
The problem is that ASOIAF is a massively popular series with some massively popular multimedia adaptations and spinoffs, and processing the text of the novels is far from the only way ChatGPT could have learned to produce those details.
Let's try a little experiment.
GPT-2 is an open source model released by OpenAI when they were just starting out. It works more or less the same way as ChatGPT and its ilk, just on a vastly smaller scale. It's much, much more limited, but the underlying algorithms work on the same concepts. So, what would GPT-2 give us if we ask it for a summary of a hypothetical GRRM novel?
I typed up the first paragraph here, and GPT-2 gave me the rest. (GPT-2 isn't a chatbot, but works more like autocomplete, so I didn't prompt it directly.)
Okay, I have a feeling that plot doesn't make much sense as a prequel, but hey, it's AI (and an elderly one at that), it's not going to be particularly good at this left to its own devices. And look, it DID pull out a few details specific to ASOIAF - Jon Snow, the Night Watch, the Wildlings. So case closed, right? GPT-2 must have had ASOIAF novels in its training data too, just like its nasty little great-grandchild.
Except we know what was in GPT-2's dataset - it was trained on a 40GB corpus of data scraped from publicly-available web pages, specifically pages linked from Reddit. We don't have all the exact texts that were used, but we DO have the top 1000 domains contained in the dataset. All of which is a hell of a lot more information than we have on ChatGPT.
What websites are ranked #75 and #160 in the list of 1000 domains? Why, it's Fanfiction.net and AO3. Hmm, I wonder where it learned about the very popular fictional characters from George RR Martin's novels! (Certainly not just from fanfiction, either - sites like IMDB and Wikia were ranked much higher in the list of sources, and entertainment news and fan wiki articles would also contain a lot of text about ASOIAF/GoT.)
You can certainly argue that using these websites as training data is also unethical or should be illegal - but that's not what's being argued in this lawsuit. As far as I know, ChatGPT has never spat out a perfect recreation (or even a vaguely paraphrased recreation) of any of GRRM's writing, so the only evidence for violation of his copyright in this case is the generation of what is essentially a machine-created derivative work. That is really, really worrying, even if you don't think the machine should be allowed to do that. I'm not a lawyer, just a fanfic writer and software developer, so I have no idea how legitimate the legal argument here is... but it's going down a road that is very dangerous for fandom, whether you believe it is or not.
#ai#discourse#ugh#not going into my thoughts on the ethics of ai training GENERALLY here but#i think openai is shady af but i am not convinced there is anything truly illegal about how chatgpt was created#or any way to codify that into law without hurting far more people than it protects#anyway.#going to go back to trying my darnedest to ignore the ai discourse now it stresses me tf out

BIG GIANT POST ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE PLAYING TWEWY!!!!!!
CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!
NO I HAVE NOT PLAYED NEO YET!!!! I AM POOR!!!!! PLEASE DON'T SPOIL ME ON IT!!!!!! I've played some of the demo though!!!!!
I first decided to get into twewy last month. I saw that there was a switch version available, but I was unable to play that version. I did, however, have a ds emulator, but after talking to some people I realized I probably would've gotten arthritis playing it on emulator.
When I was just about ready to give up, I decided to watch the first episode of the anime. I enjoyed it a bit.
I was then told to not watch the anime.
So you may be wondering.. "How did you play twewy?"
I played the mobile version. Solo mix. Yeah that one. The one not available for current gen phones.
I found a link to a modded version on an old reddit thread that was updated for current gen android phones, and one of my friends helped me get it set up, and I was finally ready to play.
During my first few hours, I didn't actually like neku all that much. Honestly, he was a dick. i remember what you said about plushies, neku. i will not forgive this as a plushie enthusiast.
While playing the game, I was under the assumption that I would get to change partners whenever once I unlocked it. Rhyme seemed cool, so I was hoping to get to partner with her.
And then the game killed her off.
Despite not knowing anything about rhyme, she was still my favorite character. Besides beat of course, but that's later during week 3.
I remember that I was crying when I first saw her death. I was all like "why did they make such a cool character design, just to kill her off?? that doesn't make sense."
earlier today I saw a tweet on twitter that said "cute cosplay idea for couples!" and it was a rhyme cosplay and a shark costume and I nearly lost my shit laughing, so I guess I'm over it.
When week 1 was ending, I remember feeling like "wait, that's it?" of course, I was wrong.
anyways week 2 now uhh uhhhhhh-
when I first met joshua and learned that I could scan him I was all like "huh???". also excellent foreshadowing there, square enix!
also JOSHUA IS A FRUIT YOU CANNOT TELL ME THIS PERSON ISN'T GAY JUST LOOK AT HIM
at this point, I didn't really know what to expect anymore. the game broke one of its already established rules, "players can't scan other players" so I had no idea what was coming next anymore.
SHO MINAMIMOTO IS HOT!!!!
uhhg. don't got anything else to say about this week except I genuinely thought hanekoma was the composer.
I was extremely shocked to learn that joshua killed neku during this week, and was even more shocked to learn that it was a misfire (and then I learned it wasn't a misfire but that's in week 3 and we haven't gotten to that yet!)
WEEK THREE!!! BEAT TIME!!!
alright, before I started week 3, I actually didn't like beat all that much. that changed a LOT during week 3. he is now one of my favorite characters.
later that week, I had finally learned joshua was the composer and was actually extremely shocked lol.
oh uh I also got spoiled on how beat and rhyme got hit by a car from ign so uhhhh oops
SHO SOMEHOW GOT HOTTER!!!!
I beat the game. I loved the credits theme (and will rewatch the credits later) and really liked how neku threw off his headphones to symbolize how he won't shut himself off from the world anymore.
10/10 game, really enjoyed playing it!
also there was a scene early on where neku went up to a reaper and said I know what you are and I didn't get to screenshot it :(
so.. yeah! my experience with twewy! good game! one of my favorites now! getting neo soon!

R/Danganronpa's moderators; Lies, Deceit, and Censorship
(DEC 16 EDIT: This post now has outdated information. Please read here.)
Firstly, I'd like to apologize for going silent so suddenly, and for such a long period of time. I had not been recieving new information on mizumi in so long, that I assumed there was simply nothing left to be said.
Well, you can imagine my surprise when I saw that I was wrong.
On reddit (one of the sites where Mizumi is still active, meaning she still hasn't recieved consequences for her actions, meaning that she can now go on to interact with more minors, leading to more of her sexually abusing them, and creating more victims who have experienced something that no one should have to go through), a post was made by someone who followed the instructions I laid out in my pinned post. This is all fine and good, until the thread got locked.
For those who aren't familiar with reddit, "locking" a post is when a subreddit's moderators cut off the ability to comment on that post. It can't be done by the person who created the post, only moderators (aka, the people with power and authority over others) can do it.
Before the thread was completely locked, however, a moderator by the name of u/FutureCreeps had this to say:
And later, the person who created this post sent me a screenshot of the message they received from the mods (thank you very much to them):
Now, there is quite a bit to go over for each of these images, which I will do now. I'm going to break down and respond to each of these comments, and debunk the claims that the subreddit's mods have levied against the MizumiKahago Situation.
Image 1
"Both accounts are banned from previous incidents unrelated to this entirely."
Already off the bat, this statement is a complete bald-faced lie.
Firstly, while yes, both of mizumi's former accounts (u/MizumiKahago and u/MizumiKahagoArts) are now gone, they were never banned. When you go to a banned/suspended reddit account, it will say, "This account has been suspended". But what does Mizumi's account page say? That's right, it says "This user has deleted their account". Reddit itself didn't step in to ban Mizumi, she deleted the account herself, in a sort of loophole that ensured that she could make a new account without getting targeted by reddit's ban evasion system. Now, this is a perfectly fair mistake to make, and I don't blame the mods for getting this mixed up. I'd like to assume that they did report Mizumi to reddit itself, and then saw that her account was gone the next day and assumed that the job was done. I'd even chalk it up to Mizumi being smart enough to know that she should delete her account now, if she wants any chance of getting back on the platform. I'd like to assume all that, but later, I'll show you indisputable proof that the mods KNEW that Mizumi was back on the platform, and did NOTHING*.
Secondly, FutureCreeps makes a point to state that BOTH of Mizumi's accounts are banned. Not "all of Mizumi's accounts are banned", BOTH. As in, TWO. This does not, however, take into consideration Mizumi's current third account, u/MizumiKahagoArts (the one where she added a single letter to the end and nothing else), which the OP (original poster) LINKED. RIGHT THERE. IN THE SCREENSHOT. You can clearly see that no, Mizumi has NOT been banned, she is still very much on the platform. If the mod meant to clarify that MizumiKahagoArts was banned from the individual r/danganronpa subreddit, not all of reddit, then 1. I would like to see the message sent to her, informing her that she's been banned, and 2. THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU REPORT HER TO THE MAIN REDDIT MODS FOR BAN EVASION???? (*here's the proof that the mods knew that Mizumi was back on reddit: link)
And thirdly, the claim that she was banned for "previous incidents unrelated to this entirely." So, you mean to say that mizumi being banned for grooming a child is... unrelated to the discussion about her grooming a child? What?? Are??? You???? Talking????? About??????
This claim confused me a great deal, at first. But as I thought more about it, I came up with a not-so-far-fetched theory on why the mod might think that this discussion is unrelated. Mizumi has a long, documented history of harassing komahina shippers, specifically on reddit. Multiple times, the reddit mods have had to step in and stop her, which could presumably lead to them growing increasingly more aware, and tired, of her antics. They most likely wanted to ban her for a very long time, but couldn't find a good enough excuse to do so. That's when the victim messaged them their document, and it gave the mods the perfect reason to finally be rid of Mizumi. The komahina shippers incidents were just the, but the document was the catalyst.
The mod who locked the thread and made this statement, FutureCreeps, has actually been a mod since after Mizumi's ban in March 2023, which you can check on the r/danganronpa mod list. So it's highly likely that the rest of the mods that were there when the situation was taking place simply told FutureCreeps an abbreviated version of the story. I can believe that, but even then, that makes FutureCreeps's behaviour here even worse. They should not be making statements, or locking threads, on behalf of all the mods, especially not ones that were THERE when the whole thing went down and can better explain the situation.
Image 2
"Post and comments have been locked because we do not wish to promote a hostile environment with posts such as these gaining so much traction. The user in question has already been banned previously."
"Hostile Environment" my ass. Look through the comments on the post. I'm serious, actually LOOK through them; do you see a single person being mean or hostile? DO YOU?! And even if they were being rude/hostile, I'd say it's justified given that, oh, y'know, we're talking about a fucking child groomer?
And I've already gone over the "the user was banned" statement previously, so there's nothing new to say here.
Image 3
I'm not quoting the whole thing, since it's very long, much longer than the others, but that's fine, since I don't have much of anything to say. It's a fairly standard response, filled with the usual garbage drivel that I've already debunked in this post, as well as numerous others in the past. The thing I do want to point out, however, is at the end:
"The user Mizumi for example has been banned since March for the reasons in your post, it's relatively old information that did not need to bring up in the subreddit"
First, if this information is soooo old, then why do the people in the comments act shocked by this information? Why is nobody coming forth and saying that they already knew this? I'll tell you why; it's because it's not "old news". This is buried news; news that was suppressed, but was dug up and is being shared around to protect and educate people. Second, I don't care how old the information is. To quote myself from a previous post, "Okay, sure, it happened nearly 2 years ago now, but that time-gap doesn't mean anything! It should still be looked at [...] The perpetrator has gotten off scot-free for two years, that means the time to act is now, before it's too late"
Conclusion
There is something called the Streisand Effect. According to wikipedia, it's "an unintended consequence of attempts to hide, remove, or censor information, where the effort instead backfires by increasing awareness of that information. It is named after American singer and actress Barbra Streisand, whose attempt to suppress the California Coastal Records Project's photograph of her cliff-top residence in Malibu, California, taken to document California coastal erosion, inadvertently drew far greater attention to the previously obscure photograph in 2003. This phenomenon is something that the danganronpa community should contribute to. To anyone who has gotten to the end of this post, I don't want you to just like/reblog this post or whatever. I want you to log into reddit, message the r/danganronpa mods, and make them explain why they're defending Mizumi. They claim in image 3 that they're not defending her at all, yet all the evidence I've shared contradicts that. So, I want you to not stop until they've released a proper statement.
Before I end this post, I want to draw a few parallels;
When the author of the infamous danganronpa fanfic, Lavender, was outed as a child groomer, did the mods lock all threads talking about it? No! They allowed it, and some at-the-time (and even later hired) mods contributed to the conversation.
When Danganmandy, or Aeris Akamatsu, or any other awful large figure in the danganronpa community was outed as a terrible person, did the mods lock all threads talking about it? Nope. They allowed it.
When someone posts a single post about Mizumi, showing what she's done, did the mods lock the ONLY thread talking about it? Yes, they did. Why? I haven't the faintest clue. I can only speculate as to what has changed, but I probably won't receive a real explanation. Here are the facts, however, as I've laid out in front of you. You are free to make up your own theories:
The mods know that Mizumi is a child groomer.
The mods know that Mizumi has evaded her ban, and has returned to reddit on a new account.
The mods haven't reported her to reddit's moderators.
The mods have locked the only single post talking about her, in an attempt to censor and suppress the information brought to light about her.

[Image descriptions in order: a Reddit post on r/AITAH by u/Appropriate_Elk_2603, titled "AITAH for telling my brother he cannot stay with me over Christmas if he brings his prosthetic leg?" What's visible of the post reads "My younger brother has a prosthetic leg. I think it is creepy AF and I have no idea where he got it. I'm reasonably certain that it is something I would rather not know.
To be clear here my brother has two perfectly healthy legs still attached to his body.
He just has this thing he takes with him everywhere I".]
[An update post on r/AITAH titled "UPDATE on my brother and "his" prosthetic leg." The post says "I didn't realize how much attention this was going to get. Enough that someone informed the woman my brother stole it from, and she was able to figure out what happened. She called the cops and he got arrested.
I guess he was sort of trying to do the thing where he could be the hero that tracked down her leg.
Please don't ask me what the fuck was going through his head.
The leg was expensive enough that he is facing real criminal charges.
That's all.
Sorry there is not more to tell."]
[A screenshot of the comments on the original Reddit post..
u/danuhorus says: I'm a prosthetist and I have to ask: What does this leg even look like? Below knee or above knee? Does it just have the pylon bare, or is there a foam covering so that it sorta looks like a leg? Is there a foot shell on it, or is the foot component just sorta... hanging out?
The reason I'm asking is because A) prosthetic anything is mindboggingly expensive, and B) you can't just 'have' a prosthetic leg if you have two perfectly healthy legs. You literally need a stump to make one that's specifically yours. Did your brother receive it from someone? Did he steal it????? And just to be sure, it's an actual prosthesis and not a leg brace of some kind? I've had patients and their families make that mistake before.
u/Appropriate_Elk_2603, the OP, replies:It looks like a carbon fiber cup with a steel knee and lower leg and foot.
u/danuhorus responds: Oh jesus. AK prostheses are NOT cheap, that's]

Just went down an information rabbit hole which, while resulting in basically a net zero information gain, I still found quite interesting. There are some clicky links throughout this post so you can see all the web pages I talk about here.
Our story begins with the Quebecois swear tabarnak.
I was doing a quick bit of research, simply because Quebecois swearing is a Trip™️, when I stumbled across the word's Wiktionary entry. And in it, I spot this line:
Now, as someone who has been learning Spanish for a hot minute now and likes to pick up odd words whenever I see them, this piqued my interest. Naturally, I go to look up some more information on the word tabarnaco.
I don't find much. Naturally, when looking into the meanings of Spanish words, my first idea was to search in the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE, from Real Academia Española). The RAE does not contain any entries for the word tabarnaco. I do find an entry on Urban Dictionary, but I don't really hold it as a super reputable source, I don't think? And that's it.
Before I continue recounting my trip further down the rabbit hole, let me take a moment to explain a bit about the relevant linguistics at play here.
A lot of swears in Quebecois French come from French words pertaining to Christianity in one way or another for reasons I didn't pursue in this quest for knowledge. (I was after something else, as you could see.) The Quebecois swear tabarnak is a respelling of the French tabernacle, which translates into English as tabernacle and into Spanish as tabernáculo.
Back to the story. Like anyone else might do when potential online sources for something have dried up, I turned to Reddit. I made a post asking if the word tabarnaco is used in Mexico to refer to the Quebecois. Unfortunately, the post and all responses are in Spanish. If you can't read Spanish, an online translator will probably do the job just fine. I haven't tested it. Anyway, while I didn't get a ton of responses, the ones I did get converge pretty soundly onto one answer: no.
Now the question in my mind was "What gives?" Sure, Wikipedia and its sister sites are wrong sometimes, that's just a given, but why was it wrong in this case? This seems like a pretty silly thing to mess up. Was it a simple mistake? Was it vandalism, for some reason?
First things first: who added the line I screenshotted above? A quick dig back through the page's edit history reveals that it was added by the Wiktionary user Urhixidur. A look at their page shows that their native language is French, the have a professional understanding of English, and they have next to no understanding of Spanish. This is a bit of a red flag, but whatever, I guess.
Another thing: you can't tell from the screenshot because I highlighted the relevant line, but the link for tabarnacos is red, indicating that there is no English Wiktionary link for the word. This page also does not exist in Spanish Wiktionary. However, it does exist in French Wiktionary. By going to the French Wiktionary page for the singular form, tabarnaco, you can see an example usage.
Finally, I might have started to get somewhere.
The given example is the title of a collection of poems by Paul-Marie Lapointe, titled Le sacre : Libro libre para Tabarnacos libres, published in 1998. This is stranger than it might appear at first glance. Paul-Marie Lapointe was born in and died in Quebec. The title is partially in French and partially in Spanish. While I do not have easy access to a copy of these poems, they are, to the best of my knowledge, entirely in French. I was able to track down the names of the poems, of which there are ten, and, in order, the first letter of each of their titles spells out T-A-B-A-R-N-A-C-O-S.
And this, dear reader, is where I have decided this story ends, at least from my perspective. I have given up on trying to locate further any sort of origin for this maybe-word-maybe-not-word. Maybe Lapointe, from the great Mexican state of Quebec, was the first. Maybe it was used earlier than him. I don't know, and I've run out of both the energy and the means to keep looking.
This has been what has been consuming a lot of my time last night and all throughout today. I decided to write this out to try and finally put it to rest in my mind. This was an interesting journey, trying to find more information on this word, which probably does not actually exist in any major way in Mexican varieties of Spanish. I don't know if anyone has read this far, honestly. I don't normally write posts this long. If you have actually read this far, then, uh, thank you, I guess. You really didn't have to, lol. Maybe you found it interesting. I certainly did. If you didn't then, ostie de crisse de tabarnak, why did you read this far?
OK, that's it. That's the end. I'm done now.

you ever have a weird dream where once you wake up you sit there like "why tf did my brain think that"
(i feel like because of how weird this shit is CW: pedos & cutting pedos dix off)
i'll start, had a weird ass dream where i was on youtube and there was a video where ashnikko & like 10 other german girls go to 2 pedos house, who for some reason looked like rhett & link if rhett & link went throught decades of alcohol abuse and lack of self-care, they break into their houses, cut both their d!cks and sew they together.
i would put like "an artist rendition" of how this happened, but i'm 99.9% sure that being on the internet would be a WHOLE lot weirder knowing there's a drawing out there where i tried to draw what i'm about to describe, so imagine two... things, one cut in half & sewed on top in the MIDDLE of the other one & the other one's... head is cut off & replace with the rest of the first one, i know you're uncomfortable, i'm uncomfortable, everyone in this god forsaken process is umcomfortable, let's move one.
oh and did i mention this was a commentary video? cause the beginning was an uncensored video of what i just described and then some guy comes on screen to reveal that right after she did this, ash released a line of merch that... like, idk how to explain this so like here's a drawing:
my memory of this is foggy but i remember it being bright and looks like something you'd find in hot topic, and than in this dream she made an animated shocksite gore series, btw in this dream this vid was posted in 2019 and it was 2024 and in 2024 the internet had pretty much been wiped from any proof of this show and the site it was on, the only thing i could find of it was a screenshot of the homepage on google and i spent too much time on the drawing of merch i thought in a fucking dream so i'm not drawing this out, just imagine this homepage
with a dark teal and light teal theme, ashnikko's face in the top left corner and shockvideos
so like the dumbass i am, in this dream after a few minutes of searching i managed to pirate the show a.k.a. i found a reddit post from 2020 with a mp4 file that was a compilation of every episode, there was only 3 and each were barely 10 minutes long, y'know those neon animal posters from the early 2000s? like these
so imagine that combined with happy tree friend if the plot of each episode of cleary written by 2018/2019 "stupid boy" & "slumber party" ash, also one of the characters was wearing a slutever t-shirt so that's useless info but i may as well
anyways insert that weird dream switch and i'm back in my shitty neighborhood i just moved out of a month ago, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, anyways i walk into my friends houses which is just my old house but if my old house was from the show hoarders, i walk into the bedroom and a homeless man "breaks in" even tho they left the door wide open and all the windows were unlocked, i don't think literally anything happened after that and i'm suddenly in the school from the girl from nowhere but even more plain, one of my friends from my old school gives me a birthday card to give to my brother even tho his birthday's in may and it's the beginning of august, and just when i try to talk to her, her friend goes "umm no fuck that" and swoops in to take her to lunch
last thing i remember is me using microsoft word and i'm trying to write "emily youcis" but for some fvcking reason a type "elmly enncis" also the alfred's playhouse theme is playing at one volume on loop
i wake up, pondered my sanity for a few seconds, had to write emily youcis out on paper because i know that i know how to spell this woman's name and some what moved on
thanks for reading my rant!!!11!11!
