a/n: there is no face claim, I just can't resist te perfection that is Anya Taylor-Joy(I wanted to save her for a Häkkinen!reader, but couldn't stop myself when I started the dior montage). those are little snippets from her life between the GQ video and Bahrain 23', to give some context. I gave names to y/n mother, sister, stepfather and etc, because I find mad confusing to put a bunch of y/mn, y/s/n, y/bff/n, it gets tiring and confusing especially if it comes one after the other in a social media tag or paragraph, thats the only reason I gave them names. there is a few tennis players in this story, not too crazy, but as it is a character a little bit inspired by break point some of those guys will show up and the netflix show will be mentioned. comment and give it a like if you like, I love to read what you guys have to say and your thoughts. I also gave a name to the series, it is very cliche but I couldn't think of nothing better.

What if I reworked the Miraculous Powers Part 2: Zodiac Boogaloo

(Part one here)

Unlike the Yinyang/Wu Xing miraculous, the big problem woth the Zodiac miraculous is that some of them are waaay overtuned while the rest are situational. So my solution is to make all of them situational! The Pig miraculous has an amazing power, fight me. Because most of these miraculous fit the idea I have for them, Ill only focus on the ones that need a change.

Mouse miraculous of Multiplication

Multitude: Stays exactly the same, I love this superpower!

Ox miraculous of Determination

Resistance: I previously changed the Ladybug miraculous so it can counter every other miraculous, which makes this miraculous kind of redundant... but I can't think of a better power, so I guess it stays?

Tiger miraculous of Elation

Clout: The user roars with exhilarating energy, forcing the target(s) of their choosing to focus on them. (Who's bright idea was it to make this thing a Black Cat knock off? At least the Goat miraculous is used differently than the Ladybug, but the Tiger and Cat have the same job of destroying stuff!) (So Juleka's whole character arc is that she wants to come out of her shell and she wanst her dad to see her so, maybe invisibility isn't a good power for her miraculous fandom:/ Anyway, the new power is just a video game taunt, forcing enemies to hyperfocus on Juleka. You can even give her some rockstar style roars to tie that into her identity)

Rabbit miraculous of Evolution

Rabbit Hole: The user rewinds their pocket watch a set number of times to travel back in time for 5 minutes. During the 5 minutes, the user can change events in the past which is guaranteed to change events in the present. The user can also choose to go back to their time period during the 5 minutes, and if they don't they will become stuck in the past because this power cannot travel to the future outside of resetting itself during it's 5 minutes. (That paragraph up there is the only way I knew to nerf this dang thing because I couldn't think of a new rabbit based power that dosen't step on another miraculous toes. WTF. Where do I even begin. Why is the shows Rabbit miraculous so incredibly different from every other power??? Why does it get its own Doctor Who room? Why does it not have a time limit and NO I do not accept that nonsense, timey whimy answer! Just why time travel in general???? I just, oof. Anyway, the rabbit miraculous is now used the same way Marinette used it during the season 4 finale, we need to do one thing in the past to save the future and then we go back to our time. Doing anything else is going to cause a paradox)

Dragon miraculous of Perfection(the name needs to be changed but I can't think of one that relates to the weather powers)

Wind/Water/Lightning Dragon: Sigh, ok this miraculous is what I mean when I say overturned. You can change into an element, you can control an element, and you can do it 3 times in a row??? No, the Dragon miraculous power let's you control one of three elements and then it goes on cool down. No using 3 powers in a row unless you're mature.

Snake miraculous of Intuition

Future Vision: it's literally a rip off of Garnet's power from SU. The user winds up their snake bracelet to play out different future scenarios in their head. These scenarios are life like to the user, but are not actually happening. (I like the idea that this miraculous seems like it's a psychic power when it's actually time travel, but time travel is waaay overpowered for a zodiac miraculous. Clairvoyance it is then)

Horse miraculous of Transportation

Voyage: The power gets you to your destination because it's a horse, get it? It's super lame, but I'll take it (at least this miraculous requires intelligence to use effectively, which matches its holder's personality. More than I can say for some other miraculous) (wait a minute this is the Miraculous of Migration now, wtf)

Goat miraculous of Passion Imagination

Genesis: Miraculous of Passion, dafaq??? Anyway, the power is still a discount of the Ladybug miraculous but it gets to stay for having a different function than the Ladybug power (I win button vs imagination power)

Monkey miraculous of Derision

Uproar: The power is a little op, but because of the changes I made to the Ladybug and Cat it shouldn't be too bad. (I like how this miraculous title foreshadowed that Kim is like low key a jerk.)

Rooster miraculous of Pretension

Sublimation: The user makes an impossible claim about one of the abilities they already possess, and the power makes that claim true for 5 minutes. (it was so easy to not make this thing broken, but the writer just had to use it as a lazy reason for why Hawkmoth can turn invisible! My reworked power works the way we all thought it did before season 5, it only effects physical abilities you already had. Kicking a ball into a goal is something you can already do, but with the rooster you can never miss a goal. This rework is still pretty powerful as far as zodiac miraculous go, but its no where near as bad as before)

Dog miraculous of Adoration

Fetch: Stays the same, it's not overtuned and it makes thematic sense for a dog hero.

Pig miraculous of Jubilation

Gift: Stays the same. F everyone who says its a bad power, its one of the best!

What else can I say...

The final stage bgm was kickass, I loved the architecture and the "subquests" with goats and the character who turns ennemies green was... A thing lol. Still Nigel isn't a deadweight so that's something nice.

Plot wise...

Ugh.

If anyone got it better than I do then please help me lol, because from what I understood, the pope (hereditary title in this verse) got only one child (tfw your line is super special magical plot related but you only get one kid) and told both of his right arms, Nigel and Sanatio, that they should never speak of her to anyone, including themselves.

So... Nigel secured Scarlett far away (uh...) 6 years ago and didn't tell Sanatio, per the pope's orders, Sanatio knew Scarlett existed but since her existence must remain secret, per the pope's orders, he... Uh... Never knew where she was ?

So when the pope decided to fold against the evil empire, and subsequently later died (something Gharnef is pissed about, because the pope's line is the only one able to destroy mc guffins) Sanatio thought that he had to pretend the pope was still alive to make sure Albion and the Orthodoxy would not descend into chaos ?? Like, Nigel couldn't tell him that "I shipped Scarlett to parevia aka an island that is as far from Albion as the UK is from France, under her dad's orders some years ago, let's find her to both protect and mount a resistance against the empire ?"

I knew Albion was scrapped because bankruptcy and all, but damn if in a game where Gilbert, Virginia, hell Alain and to an extent Yunifi and Morad exist, this felt contrived as fuck.

Besides, I know you are technically able to go to Albion before doing bastorias, Drakengard or Elheim (Bastorias or Elheim must be done though) but damn if doing things in order paints Scarlett in a crap light, after Erigor and witnessing the elves zombies and learning about the occupation in both Cornia and Drakengard with mysterious plagues around, and we open Albion with Scarlett worrying about her dad (while she was there when Galerius told us he was dead !) and wanting to show Alain the place where she picked up flowers when she was younger.

Special mention to her former childhood friend Raelys (?) with whom she reunites and wants to go to their special flower field again... Only to be ambushed by Raelys because while childhood memories are nice and all, Raelys' younger brother was taken hostage and she wants to save him.

Then we have Fodoquia's backstory... And Scarlett looks like an ass, especially for someone who was basically supposed to inherit Albion, who never cared about her country and her people.

Still in the few subsequent chapters she expresses her desire to help the people of Albion and her care for them (with still the memetic "I always thought about you" to get childhood friend when a majority of her rapports so far where about Alain, her feelings for him and jealousy at the other female leads or fluff) so there's that.

Ultimately I believe this discrepency is both due to the game being short on money but also the writers having wrote Scarlett as the "ojou" archetype, when the elf twins, even with their 5 lines about the plot of their land, and to some extent, Virginia and Yunifi/Ramona are concerned about their homes and people and written as such.

Plot happens and it's revealed, the empire is actually full of body surfers who were banned to the shadow realm for having sacrificed an unicorn and their big plan is to transmigrate everyone in living bodies, Scarlett's line is special because her magical powers are the result of experiments on humans with blood/parts/powers (?) of an unicorn, the failed results were duds and gave birth to the feathered people (angels) but Scarlett's ancestor was a success, the Cornian royal line is also special because it was founded by a young woman who was the only one granted immortality and not banished to the shadow realm eons ago, so she got some magic powers but gave up her immortality, and the laguz were originally elves who decided to become laguz so their bodies couldn't be snatched, but they forgot how to turn back.

Anyhow, for all of the unicorn imagery Alain got, I found it cool that the "our line was founded by the Maiden in the Unicorn and Maiden duo" thing is/was referenced in Ilenia/Virginia's skillset, it sort of helped to lessen the "uwu Alain is the saviour and chosen one" thingie that hits especially hard after Drakengard and Gilbert's last convo where he confesses he and Drakengard in general have always been jealous of cornia, so learning only Cornia's king can be the "chosen one" to get rid of the evil ghost empire...

Also, since you can skip Drakengard to reach that point and ignore her existence, I guess the "Alain saviour bcs he descends from the Maiden and has the magic ring" feels even weirder when Virginia is also in the party, but she can't equip the magic ring (granted if Alain were to die, would Virginia be able to equip it plot wise ?)

Fwiw, even if Gerard's infinity +1 sword can be used by Alain, I gave his magic ring to Virginia, his other grandkid by beating his ass with the Tricorns, plot be damned.

I mean, I usually dgaf about chosen ones plots, but when the second arc was all about a potential claimant/heir accepting to stand down and let their sib/cousin run the show, the game saying "only sib/cousin can save the world" feels a bit like a slap lol

Alain gave the "totally not-engagement ring" to Joseph, his dad in all but blood, and I rounded up several rapport conversations (wtf was Fodoquia and Bryce's lol) and mini quests.

Units wise... Ramona works well with the angels who have their discharge skill lol, and Bertrand spinning with his hammer will never cease to be hilarious.

I'm sure I'm not using Berengeria well though, because now she keeps on dying (ffs you have a giant shield can you just use it for once ??)... But Bruno makes up by hitting like a truck.

May I ask any headcanons you have about Luis's family?

OF COURSE YOU CAN ASK I WILL ANSWER ANYTHING ABOUT LUIS!!

I went into his family a little bit in the most recent chapter of my main ongoing fic, but I'll get more in depth here.

The Navarro family historically were fishermen, but Luis's grandfather, Alsen, was a black sheep who preferred hunting on dry land, very rarely fishing. His wife, Luis's grandmother, died before Luis was born. (I haven't thought about her that deeply yet, surprisingly.) They had one daughter, Juliana.

Overall Juliana was a nice, likeable girl, although a bit of an outcast because the walk between the Navarro home and the main village square was difficult enough to stop her from socializing with the other villagers frequently. She would walk there once a week for church, and because she was musically gifted she'd play piano or guitar in church. She was a bit of a hopeless romantic too, always hoping someone would make a move on her, but being too shy to try making the first move herself.

Mingo was a real Messy Bitch™ who didn't care for religion or social norms whatsoever, sleeping around with any woman he could successfully charm. Eventually he had his eyes set on Juliana. Alsen knew his reputation and warned Juliana to stay away from him because he'd break her heart, but she couldn't resist. He went through the trouble of hiking to the Navarro home at night to visit her in secret, and that was enough effort to really sweep her off her feet. Sometimes he'd talk about hating Valdelobos and how one day he was going to run away to a big city and do great things, and that vision also appealed to her.

Eventually she gets pregnant. She's excited, Alsen is furious. He gets into a screaming match with Mingo, demanding he marry Juliana before she has the baby. (And the anger is very out of character, Alsen is a very cool and collected man who almost never even raised his voice. It's just matters concerning his daughter, and Luis in some of my AU's, that would upset him deeply enough he'd lose his temper in an argument.) Mingo, allergic to commitment and not at all family oriented, fucks off and leaves the village, making promises to come back which he had no intention of keeping. It was quite scandalous, Juliana being pregnant out of wedlock in such a religious place, and she became even more of an outcast than she was prior. But she was still excited about having a baby, and believed the empty promises. Alsen knew Mingo was full of shit and would never come back, but still loved Juliana more than anything and looked forward to becoming a grandfather. He talked to Mingo's family, hoping they might take some interest in the child that would share their blood and give Juliana more of a support net, but they were entirely unsympathetic. They'd all but disowned Mingo themselves due to his embarrassing behavior, and didn't feel responsible for his child.

Juliana lived long enough to name Luis, and make Alsen promise to raise him and not poison him against his father, still believing that one day Mingo would come back and want a relationship with his child and fearing Alsen would try to get in the way of that, telling Luis he was a bad person that abandoned him and his mother. Which she was right about, Alsen hated the man, but he also loved his daughter enough to keep the promise. He had nothing nice to say about him, so he just refused to tell Luis anything about his father, technically keeping the promise.

Raising Luis would have been really hard at first too. Being socially ostracized meant the village's new mothers who may have agreed to nurse an orphan under different circumstances would have been hesitant to nurse Luis specifically, and formula wouldn't be an option in Valdelobos, so Alsen would have had to turn to poor substitutes like goat's milk. Baby Luis didn't thrive, there were a lot of moments where Alsen wasn't sure if he'd make it, but he pulled through and was very healthy by the time he was a toddler.

Luis looks a lot like his mom.

I also HC that Luis's jacket originally belonged to his mother. The fit/cut of it just strikes me as more feminine, and I like the thought of Luis having a connection like that to his family.

Alsen did his best to educate Luis himself, trying to give him a decent foundation for when he eventually grew up enough to leave the village and go to university. Of course it wasn't even close to the type of formal education Luis would have received outside of Valdelobos, but it at least instilled a love of learning into Luis so he was motivated to educate himself after his grandfather's death.

If you got that reference, good for you! I'm starting an Undertale comic based on my initial interpretation of the story and characters, and it also ties into my TWOF AU. Obviously, being part of an AU, it has some deviations from the canon, which I'll list here along with the characters:

First, there's Frisk and Chara. The reason I made both of them girls is because way back when I was first starting to roam the Internet and came across Undertale, I watched a dub of the Deeper Down comic, and in that comic, Frisk was addressed as female, and that's been my headcanon ever since. As for Chara, her name just sounded female to me. Also, Frisk is the reincarnation of Chara, which is why they share a Soul trait. Chara was about 15 when she died and Frisk is 12 when she travels through the Underground, so Chara is three inches taller than Frisk.

Flowey, in this AU, is actually a good guy (but still retains some of his sass and snarkiness from the original) and accompanies Frisk through her journey. Despite carrying some of Asriel's essence, he doesn't remember anything from Asriel's life or why he was born as a flower. This is because when Asriel collapsed and turned into dust, it was his chest portion that fell onto the flower that would become Flowey instead of his head, which is what carried his memories and would've resulted in the Flowey we all know and love. That being said, Flowey and Asriel are completely separate entities in this AU. Flowey was about 20 years old by the time Frisk fell.

(Also, just to save my sanity, I'll be using a different Omega Flowey design. Maybe the one from @scaletale-au, since it's pretty much the only pretty Omega Flowey out there, and also the design is just so badass, I couldn't resist.

Speaking of Asriel, here's the Dreemurr boy himself! When he died, he wandered the Underground in his adult form (the form he traveled to Chara's village with when their Souls were fused) as a shadow more than anything, which I'll post here in a minute. As he watched over his family and the monsters and saw Toriel taking care of the fallen humans, he became jealous and resentful, thinking that his mother was just replacing him as if she had forgotten him completely. This is how he became evil and corrupted, but all that is solved when Frisk reaches out to him and helps him remember his sister Chara, and the Hate is expelled from him, but he's still in his adult form (except his robe is purple instead of black and his eyes are green like normal and he has no face stripes).

I'm also thinking that when Asriel regains his physical form, he imprisons Asgore and claims the throne as King of the Underground, having his Hyper Goners hunt down Frisk and her friends while the other monsters hide in Home, the old city.

Here's the goat parents, Toriel and Asgore! When she first met Frisk, Toriel felt as if she was looking at an old friend (Deja-Vu), and when Asgore met Frisk, he commented on how much she reminded him of Chara (remember the "same hope in your eyes" line?). The morning after Frisk and Asgore stopped fighting, Toriel at last made it to Frisk, and she and Asgore made up and got back together.

Sans and Papyrus are relatively the same, only they have tongues and Sans wears sneakers instead of slippers, and Papyrus becomes a little more mature near the end (but not enough to spoil his excitable personality) as Asriel makes himself known to the Underground and asserts himself as a threat. Undyne also appoints Papyrus as a Royal Guard to help them rise up against Asriel. They're the sons of Gaster, and their mom Bree is alive and well (I have yet to make a design for her) and she lives in New Home.

Undyne doesn't change very much, except she has a tail and arm fins because yes. She also turns into her Undying form to protect Frisk from Asriel. As for backstory, her parents were named Jainil and Adella, and they ran the Royal Guard before they died and she took their place (she was born after the Human-Monster War, not before).

Alphys doesn't change much either, except I gave her pants. She assisted Gaster in conducting the Determination experiments, so the Amalgamates were not entirely her fault, although she was still the one who injected the flower with Determination and unintentionally brought Flowey to life.

Mettaton doesn't change at all, he's still the same, except he changes into his NEO form to fight Asriel. Of course, he was a ghost like Napstablook, but then he became friends with Alphys and she gave him a robot body, and that's how he became a TV star.

Finally, there's Gaster and Shadow!Asriel. Gaster doesn't change much, except that he appears a bit more often and guides Frisk and Flowey through the True Lab. As for Shadow!Asriel, it's just Asriel's corrupted ghost form and he haunts Frisk throughout her entire journey, and is the one to taunt her at the end of the Ruins instead of Flowey.

This is the prophecy of Frisk, a human girl who many would call "too determined for her own good". Every time she falls asleep in this new world, she has odd dreams of people from the past; they're familiar, but not recognizable. They feel like family, but Frisk never knew them. But nothing can prepare her for the end of her journey...or the secret that will change her life forever.

Narrator: Once upon a time… Woops, wrong story! … or is it? (strongly implying the evil raven is forcing Rue to dance a la The Red Shoes)

Okay, here's something I never thought of before: if Drosselmeyer is the writer of this novel (ostensibly), then who the FUCK is the narrator supposed to be???!!!! Are there any older lady characters in this show??

Rue (standing by a fountain staring at her hands): "Curse these sinful hands!"

Fakir (standing by a fountain staring at his hands): "Curse these sinful hands!"

Oh, hey, I thought the pizza shop was a one-off joke, but here we are again!

I just realized that the piano in the ballet studio has all the old-fashioned punch cards, so it can play without an accompanist when the penguin is busy.

the parallels between Rue and Fakir as they cope with Mytho essentially breaking up with them are excellent.

so the school is an arts school! we have dance, musicians and art students, how about that?

Malen, the art student we will never see again: "I am obsessed with Rue."

Ahiru: "It's okay, me too! Let's be besties!…. oh wait, it's a shard again, isn't it?"

(the fact that Mytho's devotion still seeks out Rue IS proof he genuinely loves her, though)

the birds turning into shoes effect actually looks pretty good! like Animorphs, but ballet!

Rue's transformation into Kraehe in this episode is so similar to Homura's transformation at the end of Rebellion that it's clear the animators of the latter were taking notes

and the fact that Kraehe screams and the feathers initially appear as thorns is a big hint This Is Not Good for Rue at all.

Fakir making a dramatic entrance by busting THROUGH the window and grabbing a glass shard to stab Kraehe is Peak Everything. This boy should have been a theater kid.

Unsurprisingly, this makes Kraehe revert back to being evil when she was on the cusp of giving into Tutu's persuasion/charisma roll. NICE JOB BREAKING IT, HERO.

A/N: This is my first contribution to RASS, as I've nicknamed it - Richard Armitage Summer Splash! Thank you, @lathalea and @fizzyxcustard for making this event

You knew full well that Thorin Oakenshield didn't have it in his heart to love you. He couldn't, the rage and grief of days long passed fueled him upon the journey to Erebor. You knew it well, but you didn't care. Dwarves only loved once, after all. And if a dwarf couldn't wed their One then they would never wed again.

You had fought long and hard with your family to go on the journey, and they relented after you-�� admittedly- guilt-tripped them. Your skills in the forge as a blacksmith were unparalleled. You had spent your entire childhood there, learning from your father who had passed when you were the young age of fifty-three. Well, young for a dwarf like yourself

You had come along the journey knowing full well that you could never once let your feelings get in the way of your head. And you tried to not let them by surrounding yourself with your family and newfound friends.

Your brother had taught you how to wield a battle axe and hold your own in a fight, but you had extended your knowledge by getting battle lessons.

A journey with such high stakes as this quest is bound to have at least one death, as was estimated by many people in Ered Luin. A quest for death, it was called by a few gossipers. Not many thought it would succeed, the fear of the dragon resting inside the halls great and still coursing through the people.

There had been a few close calls, but luck was on the company's side for a time. It started to dwindle when the mountain was reclaimed. You yourself had thought Thorin strong enough to resist the call of the sickness, of the dragon hoard. But he was not. Even the other dwarves of the company were slightly affected by it, for they would not follow Thorin so aimlessly when he orders them to search hoards upon hoards of treasure for a single over-glorified stone.

You had said your thoughts about it to yourself as you searched, the words unheard and you were thankful they werent.

When battle was preparing, Thorin refused to let you fight.

"You're a weakling, I cannot let a weakling on the battlefield," Thorin spat at you, the words hitting you like bricks and only solidifying the fact that you would never find love.

So, you decided to rush into battle while Thorin was getting over his sickness. The others followed you, your stature and size being built up to look like the gold sickness-riddled king.

Thorin had run out, searching the  battle field for his company. He was met with a confused Balin, who frantically rushed up

"Thorin! Why are you here? Didn't you just start riding one riding the goats to catch up with Dwalin and Fili?" Balin yelled over the roar of orcs and dwarves as swords clashed against swords

"No! I was in the mountain, I didn't rush out with you!" Thorin yelled back, thinking his youngest nephew had led the charge as he attempts to find the boy on the battlefield while still battling orcs

"Then who led the..." it clicks for Balin, whose words get lost on his tongue as his eyes find the figures riding battle goats up Ravenhill.

You had led the charge. You rallied the troops. You were the one to give the warriors upon the battlefield the strength to fight, not their true king who they thought you were.

"Y/N led the charge!" Balin screamed to Thorin as he pointed to the hill, Thorin stressing over the lives of his nephews who were also riding up. He jumped on a goat, running after the group of four fiercely

Thorin had many thoughts rushing through his head, worry for his nephews, anger at them, anger at you. Never once did he worry or think about you in a good light, for he hated you in the moment for being so stupid.

Thorin rushed up the mountain, making it in time to be greeted by his sister's sons limping. They had been ordered to retreat by "Thorin" after Fili fell down a cliff after being dropped by Azog.

You had saved him, knowing that he would survive the fall. He had fallen into a ravine before. You had thrown a dagger, the weapon narrowly sticking to Azog's remaining hand.

Fili was going to be alright, you knew when the prince had pulled himself up with the help of Kili after you shouted an order for them to retreat. They protested, but you yelled at them further.

Now, they stand watching their true uncle in confusion. "You... but... what... how?" Kili sputters, looking to Thorin and then behind him where he last saw his "uncle"

"Y/N, they impersonated me," Thorin growls, stomping forward to inspect Fili, whose leg is clearly twisted in the wrong way. He had accepted death as he fell, his relaxation causing his chance of survive to increase

"What?! No... we have to go back, uncle! We have to save them. Azog will kill them!" Kili demands frantically, Fili agreeing between grunts of pain

"No. You will not, Kili. I will handle this on my own. You take your brother and go. Get him help. That's an order," Thorin demands, pushing Kili towards the goats as he runs past with his sword in hand.

He slashes at the orcs he comes across, eventually taking down Azog's spawn, Bolg, with the help of Dwalin. The warrior knew nothing of the impersonation as the pair ran towards the remaining sound of battle.

Bilbo had found them, rushing up to Dwalin and Thorin in confusion

"Thorin, I thought that you-" Bilbo started, only to be cut off by the angry king who gave him a fierce look.

"I did not lead the charge. Y/N impersonated me; treason," Thorin grumbled, Dwalin silently coming to that realization.

"T-treason?!" Bilbo stuttered and spat, "They're out there fighting Azog, Thorin! Putting their life on the line to save Erebor isn't treason, it's the exact opposite of the definition!"

The hobbit huffs and puffs with worry for you, who he had become close friends with.

Thorin goes to speak again when the trip hears an ear-piercing scream. Your scream, they realize as they run towards you.

The group stops on a ledge and are forced to watch.

Your arms shake under the force of Azog's blow, your feet barely to keep you up anymore after you were stabbed through the foot. Your helmet comes off, your hair sticking to the side of your face.

Azog was only angered further as he realized that he did not, in fact, have Thorin Oakenshield but an impostor.

You swing at Azog's remaining arm, your finely sharpened sword cutting through his flesh and bone with ease. You had taken one from the armory to avoid suspicion and not brought your own. Azog roars in rage and in pain, swinging wildly.

You swing back, cutting his modified arm and his neck in one swift motion. The momentum you built up has you falling to the floor, coughing and in pain. You gather enough strength to finish Azog off, impaling him through the chest as three figures rush towards you on the ice.

Bilbo reaches you first, tears in his eyes as he presses his hands to your chest and stomach. You do not know why, but you also do not have the strength to stop him physically

"No... no," Bilbo sobs, Dwalin and Thorin reaching your broken form.

Dwalin's throat bobs at the sight before him, Azog dead and you...

Blood comes from your neck to chest and stomach, the wound you have unfixable. It's too deep. Deep enough to see bone. Deep enough that Bilbo gets up and wretches, Dwalin taking your body to solid land as Thorin stands over Azog.

One final blow is delivered to the corpse, the head of the beast who caused so much heartache to Thorin detaching from its body.

Thorin turns, walking over to you as Bilbo requests your survival. A weak attempt, Thorin knows as he comes to stand over your body. Dwalin kneels beside you, your hand clutched in his. You had gripped him tight and with fear in your eyes, tears blooming in the side of you eyes as you had to suffer through Bilbo's sobs.

Your eyes turn to Thorin, your vision focused enough that you recognize him but unfocused enough that everything else behind him is blurry.

You go to speak, but cant get your voice loud enough. So, Thorin comes by your head. He realized that he was wrong in those few moments he had to watch you fight and now as he has to watch the light slip from your usually bright eyes.

"I know that you..." you gulp, wetting your lips as you try to get your words out. Your words are raspy, but hearable to the three males who surround your dying form

"Would ne...ver lo.... love me the... the way tha..t I... love..." you cough, blood in your mouth as you speak, "you... but... I did this for you... for us..."

Bilbo sobs harder at the confession, Thorin feeling numb and Dwalin feeling like he failed. Dwalin beats himself up about it as they kneel there around you. He could have differentiated between the two people, but he didn't. He clouded his mind and had practically aloud you to rush to your death

"Do..n't bla..me you...rselves... I did this... my...se..lf... tell..." you cough again, Dwalin shushing you as he pushes Thorin out of the way. He runs a hand over your brow, sweeping your hair out of the way of your face softly

"Tell ma.... tell ma I love her. Tell my... siblings... I'm sorry... I'm... so..rry..." you cry, gripping onto Dwalin's hand desperately as Thorin starts to blame himself and the sickness for your death. You had saved his sister's sons, he realizes. You didn't have to, but you did. You didn't have to take on Azog, but you did. And Thorin would have been the one under that blade had he recovered in time and lead the charge

"Bilbo... plant... a tr...ee for me... plea...se..." You request, hand coming to weakly grip Bilbo's as Thorin tells himself to do the same; to plant and grow a tree in Erebor in honor for your sacrifice

"Be... a good... king, Thorin," you request, eyes traveling to the king as Bilbo speaks

"Hey, hey, hold on Y/N... look at the eagles," Bilbo coos, the great eagles who saved their lives earlier in the journey swooping over head.

A beautiful view, you say to yourself as the pain slowly disappears along with your vision. You are subjected to the sobbing of your friends as you try to speak; try to request they stop crying.

But you cannot speak, you cannot move, you cannot do anything.

What a sad fate, you say to yourself as you slip into the peaceful abyss, the sounds of a forge ringing in your ears as light surrounds you, comforting you like the peaceful and comforting feeling of a fire-warmed home....

honorable mention to the moment where everyone collectively realized Puck was a child because it's a player moment and not a PC moment but it was still fucking hilarious to experience. Literally everyone but me thought he was an adult and I assumed everyone thought knew was a child and it was...really fucking funny to watch

A: Sammy meeting privately with Prim.

I originally planned for Prim to be a character who showed up before each major boss fight to give a bit of cryptic lore and vaguely steer the party in the right direction or keep them from overextending themselves, her introduction in the first dungeon was so impactful (and fun!) that I felt I couldn't resist and included her as an "Arcana-holder" for the party to bond with. And especially seeing her friendship with Sammy develop from that very first encounter has been...fucking amazing, I love it so much.

B: Blake requests that Prim spare their teammates.

On the subject of Prim, her introduction was one of the most fun parts of the campaign to date, just having this mysterious individual psychoanalyze the entire cast, upping the stakes in almost every possible way, it was so fucking fun. But Blake's response stands out to me as a fucking amazing encapsulation of their character, through all their development. The pride, and anger, and absurd intelligence and – beneath mountains and mountains of shame – the unwavering compassion for their friends. It's a fucking amazing bit of writing, and I love how much it just...epitomizes Blake Leto in a single paragraph.

C: Lena breaks Lucien's nose, and Ilse meets with Stephen.

The introduction of Team Trinity was a fucking blast, and while Kaya had some fun moments too (and will hopefully have a few more soon), both Lucien and Stephen's introductions were absolutely fucking iconic. I knew from the start of the campaign that I wanted to have a rival team of Persona-users show up to periodically harass the party, and give an insight to the type of people who Daedalus's structure cultivates and rewards, and Ilse having a named childhood friend in their backstory was too good of an opportunity not to return; and I feel like the reveal of their shared history went really well. Lucien wasn't planned to have too impactful of an introduction, mostly just as the most abrasive of the three to start things off on the worst foot first, but Dave's snap decision to have Lena punch him in the face for a borderline skeezy comment was...fucking amazing, and perfectly in character for Lena.

D: Camellia and Sakio at Frey's grave.

It's a quiet moment, one that I didn't expect at all at the time, but it definitely sticks out in my memory as just...solemn, and beautiful, and potent. (And it definitely makes me so fucking excited for @shinyvibrava to return to the campaign so we can have a ton more moments like it!)

E: Sammy's introduction.

I don't think there's been a more hype reveal in the campaign so far as Sammy's existence, everyone lost their fucking mind and I don't blame them! It was a blast to plan things out with Nyanko in secret, and I adore how excited everyone was to see everyone's favorite goat friend for the first time.

F (because I couldn't limit myself to five + honorable mention I'm sorrryyy): The Hunters unite with the common goal of Fucking Up Jabberwocky's Day.

Sammy getting KO'd and promptly revived, leading to the most fucking triumphant, amazing fight scene in the entire campaign so far as every Hunter took their turn in the round to land a chain of really fucking high-roll attacks (while I had changed the boss battle music to Counterstrike from P5 Strikers on a WHIM) and Sakio pulled out a taste of her own strength – which she'd been limiting in front of the party up until that point? It was just fucking AWESOME and probably the most jazzed I have been during a session so far.

For the sake of other people's dashes, I'm gonna go ahead and rant under the cut. Warning for sad Eury vibes. ✨

PS. I made myself sad writing this. 🥲

Euryleia rarely cries but not because she has a hard time with emotions. It's mostly because of her optimism which sometimes turns to a toxic form of positivity for herself, reaching a point where she doesn't acknowledge her own pain as something worth the worry. This is why I love pairing her with a character like Muriel because he's more experienced with the negative side of his emotions while Eury is foreign and very much unaware on how to deal with things like sadness or lost.

It's pretty much her nature to be the source of hope and positive support in any room. She's a ray of sunshine that dedicated herself to making other people smile and that made people assume that she's more than capable to keep her own self smiling despite any circumstance.

However, when you're supposed to be the strong one, where are you supposed to go when you're the one in pain?

Euryleia crying is usually just her being really silent and finding a place away from people where she can let a few tears fall. She doesn't sob or make noises at all because she doesn't want other people worrying themselves because of her. After a few minutes, she'll wipe her face, go back and pretend like nothing happened.

The real pain though takes place in the canon plot in Muriel's route. This is when Eury, Muriel and Morga had to face Goat Lucio in the old Scourge tribe's village. For context, Eury would first become really close with Morga because, oddly enough, Eury finds comfort and acceptance in her presence. She felt like she belonged when they're together, that she wasn't as different as people perceived her to be. Dare she say she was seeing Morga as a parental figure she never had.

But we all know how that encounter with Lucio ended for Morga. And witnessing her death, Eury would turn feral. Her first and only instinct was to come charging in and rip Lucio's head off with her bare hands. It would be a cold day in hell before she runs away on her own will and thus Muriel had to jump in and forcefully carry her away.

There will be a lot of resistance involved while Muriel carried her over his shoulder, Eury fighting him tooth and nail to let herself free. Once they're far enough and Muriel finally puts her down, a verbal onslaught will quickly take place where, for the first time ever, Eury would raise her voice at Muriel. In the weeks they had spent in each other's presence, Eury had been so keen in making sure he felt safe with her. That she meant him no harm. But after what he did, she just couldn't.

"Why did you do that?!", Eury's voice would echo like a piercing arrow in Muriel's ears, the woman's harsh tone catching him off-guard. "What the hell, Muriel?! He was right there! What's the point of all that training if we'd just run away?!"

"Did you expect me to let you jump in and let yourself get killed?!", he would yell right back, their voices mixing into an argument that made their own familiars whimper and keep a safe distance away from them both.

"YES!", Eury would retaliate without hesitation. "I'm a warrior, Muriel! I was meant to fight! Who cares if I died?!"

"I DO!", he would exclaim, the desperation and pain in his voice effectively shutting Eury up. "I would care... A-And I'm sure Morga did, too. So, Eury... Please..."

Eury would stay silent and by the time she tries to open her mouth again, her own words would be swallowed by painful sobs, tears rapidly trailing down her face like a dam that bursts itself open for the first time. Falling to her knees and with the reality of lost settling in, Eury would finally let out the most heart-wrenching cries ever.

Eury crying for real would almost be like a child's: lost and scared. She would try and grip her own arms until her nails dug beneath skin, looking for any sort of feeling underneath all that numbness. She would wail, cry out and scream, her tears continuously soaking the snow beneath her until Muriel finally kneels down and holds her. She would fight back, albeit weakly, at first but would eventually give up and let herself cry her heart out, craddled in his arms. Euryleia had always been everyone else's support, but, this time, it was Muriel's turn to be hers.
