jily but when they do go on their first date, it’s so lovely and wonderful and perfect and they both agree to take things slow, but by the end of the night have sex

jily but they act like parents to the rest of the marauders, and spend their seventh year in love and happy and healthy, lily cheering james on during his quidditch games, james making sure lily doesn’t push herself too hard when studying, both of them balancing the other out in a way others never can

jily but they have their fights and their rough moments, but overall choose to love each other and choose to be their for each other, no matter if there’s a war waging outside their home

Something so inherently bonkers about duos in fandom is when you as the audience member haven’t watched the show or movie in a while, but when you focus on trying to remember the voices of the characters, you remember their voice really well specifically when they’re saying another character’s name. I am clearly the cause of this weird lil internal intimacy thing because I’m the one remembering their voices, but it’s still so insane because why is THAT the first word I can think of??? And for BOTH of the characters???? Crazy

Ah yes, a fine excuse for me to be mentally unwell and talk about my two favorite bitches <3 Time for some canon and headcanon/au

1. 2006. It's been so long and I was only 6 at that time, but I remember vividly how they took over my brain after the Goron Mines and Lakebed.

2. I loooove how soft and caring Link is. So many portray him as this super strong, stoic and badass hero (he is), but he's also such a fucking softy with a huge heart. Like, at the start his whole hero-adventure was fueled by his determination to get the children back home. Ugh he's so sweet.

Midna has so many layers of personality it's unbelievable. She's got the sass, the attitude, she just feels real and believable. Honestly I can't think of one thing I don't like about her.

3. The way they went from "Ugh, do I really have to tolerate you?" to "If anyone dares to hurt you, I'll murder them" aghhh. I don't know, it makes me weak to think about their relationship and how they grew closer. People can not ship them, but it's so obvious they deeply care for each other.

10. Yesss, my Midlink kiddies! Their son Viro and their daughter Miliana. Their existence made everything more complicated, for different reasons, but I love my babies hehehe

11. Lots and lots of hugs and kisses. On a more serious note, Link tends to hold Midna in a tight embrace, and Midna cups his face and looks him deep in the eyes. Also just holding each other's hands usually does the job.

12. Yes. I don't like that THEY'RE NOT CANON. But other than that, no, there's nothing I don't like. They've been stuck in my brain for most of my life.

15. Absolutely. Let's just say the Twili did not like the news of a light dweller courting their princess. Link had to endure a lot of racism for a while.

17. Midna absolutely adores Link's muscles and hair (and facial hair). It's so fascinating to her, mostly because Twili don't have blond/brown hair or muscular builds. From time to time, though, the sight of his scars can be quite depressing.

Link doesn't like to admit it, but he is a big boob enjoyer. He also loves Midna's hair, eyes and skin. Literally everything that makes her so unique.

19. For both, it's definitely the ears. Maybe I got this from some elf headcanons, but pointy ears are always very sensitive to me. For them, they're so sensitive it's not even sexy or arousing when being rubbed or pulled at, just very unpleasant.

Now the positive parts. For Midna it's her thighs. She can literally melt on the spot if Link knows what he's doing. For Link it's his chest, mostly due to all the scars there. But I imagine he's not really sensitive overall, except for the most obvious parts.

20. They actually used to be like super shy teenagers at first. Nothing risky, nothing 'taboo'. But with time they got more comfortable with voicing their ideas and trying new things. Link is the more dominant and active part, although Midna initiates 90% of the time - she's a horny yet lazy sub.

Who is the better dancer?

Jim, Seb has got some moves but when it comes down to it, Jim is king of the dance floor when it comes to his spontaneous and fast moves. 

Who likes the outdoors more and who likes the indoors more?

Tiger is definitely more of an outdoors person, he spent a lot of time camping growing up and also spends a lot of time staking out places for Jim. Moriarty would much rather sit inside an old haunted mansion than stand outside in the rain for hours when he could get someone else to do his dirty work. 

Who’s a cat person and who’s a dog person?

They are both cat people, after all, Jim likes to name his favourites with nicknames from the cat family. Something @fangsforhire knows, is dogs don't hold the same appeal although Jim had one growing up he always preferred cats, same with Seb.

Who’s more social?

Considering neither of them is particularly fond of people, I would say Jim by the tiniest of margins. He can pretend to be anyone and hold conversations to get into someone's mind and pretend to be interested, for Seb all he cares about is Jim and his work.

Who makes the bed every morning?

Definitely not Jim, unless he wants to impress or wants something from him. Seb begrudgingly makes the bed, although sometimes it might not be made to the last minute purely because Seb gets fed up with Jim’s attitude sometimes. Jim does make the bed whenever he has upset his Tiger or if he is injured, to make things easier for him.

Who likes to keep the house cold and who likes to keep the house warm?

Sebastian is the one who changes the temperature, the temperature doesn't seem to affect Jim unless he is unwell. Sebastian doesn't like it if it's too hot or too cold.

Who takes longer getting ready?

Definitely, Jim likes to look a certain way, when he pretends to be someone else he has to have everything exactly right, and at any other time, he had to be dressed to leave an impression. For Seb, as long as he can represent his boss and has clothes on his back, he's happy. After all, not many see him. 

Who likes scary movies and who likes funny ones?

They both find scary movies funny, being more of a comedy than anything else. Jim is the most likely to find them boring, criticising the antagonist's technique and screaming “you idiot!” at the screen. Seb doesn't mind comedies but they actually have to be funny, Jim finds them too soppy and will only watch them to amuse Seb. 

Who screams when they see a bug and who ends up killing it?

Seb would never kill Jim! How dare you suggest such a thing. They don't kill the bug, they watch it, Sebastian might kill it if it's getting too close to any food or drink.

Who is more technology challenged?

They are both good with technology, Jim is better when it comes to complicated things. He will sometimes tease Tiger when he has an old phone and can't get it working. 

Who would be more likely to burn something in the oven?

Definitely Jim considering he feels no need to cook other than if Seb really wants him to. Seb can make a mean Mac and Cheese. For date night takeout is usually the best option.

Who talks in their sleep?

Tiger struggles with PTSD and often talks through his night terrors, Jim will wake him up and hold and talk to him until he recovers. Tiger is one of the few people he would ever hold since they know each other so intimately. 

Who leaves the cap off the toothpaste?

Tiger, it drives Jim slightly mad sometimes to the point they both have separate toothpaste. 

Who likes getting dressed up more?

That would be the spider, as mentioned earlier Jim is the dramatist, and Seb wears whatever is comfortable and whatever works. 

Who’s better at tying ties?

Jim, he will sometimes approach his ‘sloppy tiger’ and redo tiger’s tie if it is not up to standard or if he is not feeling well. Very occasionally if he is trying to be romantic, he will do them so they match perfectly.

Who recorded the answering machine message on the house phone?

100% Jim. “You are through to the residence of Ritchie Brook, leave a message” is the one random people get

The work phone is very different 

“This is Jim Moriarty’s phone, you better be calling for a good reason or ill tear out you tongue, leave a message and I'll get back to you one way or another; kiss kiss”

Who’s better at planning romantic things?

Considering Jim can struggle to understand romance and is still learning, Sebastian, although he does sometimes have to improvise in order to make his boss entertained throughout the affair.

Who takes up more space in the closet?

Sebastian only has clothes that he needs, Jim sometimes spends a ridiculous amount of money on rare occasions if he is in one of his moods where he gets over-excited. Since he likes to play and act; his part of the closet is similar to a theatre actor's.

Who has more of a sweet tooth?

They both like sweet and savoury food, however I think Jim prefers sweet sometimes and enjoys giving Tiger sweet over savoury when it comes to occasions.

Who drinks more often?

Tiger, they both drink but since drinking kills brain cells Jim is careful of how much he drinks, Seb drinks to forget the horrors of war. 

Who is most likely to laugh during a serious situation?

They have both been known to laugh considering their sense of humour, however, Jim is much more likely to do this at the most inappropriate of times.

The murder attempt is basically their dynamic during enemies arc and it just gets better when they try to become friends again (Kaito was in the middle of it and he was so tired of them omg)

He’s not the best liar, he can keep a straight face but will tuck his hands behind his back because he starts fidgeting with his jewelry or earrings. It’s not like, a hidden thing too his hands immediately go behind his back when he’s caught in a lie

Vax-

What he thinks is playing it cool is being very obvious. It’s more noticeable when he’s sitting because he spreads out a bit and adverts his eyes. Especially if he’s telling a lil white lie to Ker, then Kerry notices immediately that his eyes moved.

Venus-

Gets his words tangled up. If it’s not a well thought out lie, then he stumbles through his words. Some people play it off like he’s just nervous or being the dumb blonde people think he is but people who know him know he’s been caught in a lie

Vex-

She crosses her legs several times. Almost like she’s uncomfortable. She can keep the straight face and calm voice but almost acts like she can’t sit still during it. She hates lying and hates having to do it because she cannot sit still.
