throughout the manga and the different translations of it, shadow link is always depicted as being afraid of being seen as weak or lesser than the others. in the fan translation, he mentions hating being reduced to being just a shadow, that he wants to be seen as himself. in the viz translation, he says instead he doesn't want the links to mock the shadows, to think they're weak and insubstantial. shadow was always terrified of being seen as an extension of someone else, and not himself, someone capable and strong. he wanted to be acknowledged.

adrien is truly my baby boy... a gentle young man who befriended one of the most vile and hated creatures... who loves plants.... considerate and kind, but has a terrible time voicing... Anything really.

he was kicked out of his hometown (because of his tentacle monster best friend) and was forced to return.... The other members of his party thought he didn't want to return because he was upset over being kicked out but he did want to go back because they didn't want him there and Adrien is always the type to put the needs of others before his own (to his detriment I guess)

okay him and robin are my favorites so choosing just one scene is hella hard BUT i think the forest scene with chrissy is so so so good! (especially when he says that "flattery works with me so..." line like wtf i played that one scene over and over and over).

i remember the first i was watching ep. 1 and then the cafeteria scene comes up and i was like "oh no, not again" because I KNEW he'd become my new hyperfixation and the forest scene was kind of my "yep, it's over for you girlie" moment. i was in complete awe at how incredibly charming and cute eddie was. he's just so...magnetic? relatable? chaotic? interesting? idk i can't really explain it but i had such a strong and instant connection with this character, he really means a lot to me (and thank you joseph quinn for this top tier performance, i don't think anyone could've portrayed eddie better).

so yeah, after this scene i completely fell for him and i was so interested to see more of him as a character
