I see your take on Jarlaxle and Artemis. Tell me your thoughts on Drizzt and Artemis

I don't really ship them romantically but I do LOVE their relationship and how it develops throughout the books. I love Artemis being a mirror for what Drizzt would have been if he stayed in Menzoberrazan and him realizing through Artemis that that was what had happened to Zaknafein and that Zak wasn't perfect (though he certainly processes that again when Zak comes back lmao). And how Artemis is determined to beat Drizzt because he killed every part of himself that was human and if Drizzt can love and be loved AND be better at fighting than him at the same time that him killing all his emotions didnt actually mean anything.

I love in Neverwinter where they like take comfort in the presence of the other because it's like the only familiarity either have had forever. Even though they still really don't LIKE each other.

And I love, love, LOVE in the newer books Artemis being like bullied into being a better person and realizing that he really does want Drizzt's respect and cares for him.

They're just such a funny duo too fjdndjdndn. Drizzt thinks Artemis is so cringe in the early books. Pretending to be Regis, sewer water spitting ass. Artemis making lobster claws at Drizzt and Drizzt being like did you just JOKE at me. Artemis murdering the king in Damara and Drizzt like..you know what.... He deserved it...
