Could u do headcannons on dating shigaraki,Dabi and mr compress

Some of this might be kinda toxic tbh, but it’s just my honest opinions on what it would be like to date them

~Mr. Compress/Atsuhiro Sako~

•Mr. Compress is very affectionate, and much more on the gentle side

•He’s always holding your hand or resting his hands on your hips, or somehow touching you

•He’s also very protective of you, but not so much possessive

•He’s pretty much always worrying about something happening to you, because you’re associated with him and people can be very vindictive

•Atsuhiro loves it when you call him by his name, because you call him Mr. Compress when you’re around other people, which is most of the time

•He also sometimes just repeats your name by whispering it to himself, and for some reason it always makes him smile

•You hold him when he wakes up from his nightmares and when he has phantom pains on his arm that he lost

•He doesn’t like sleeping without you, because he just feels cold when you’re not there

•Atsuhiro loves feeling your body pressed against his, just holding you close when he sleeps, it just soothes him

•He likes keeping you close, but he doesn’t want to make you feel like he’s chaining you down

•He texts you multiple times a day, but he doesn’t even expect an answer every time, unless he asks a question or something, he just wants you to know he’s thinking of you

•He sends you cute videos of animals or the occasional “I love you”

•Atsuhiro calls you everyday when he knows he won’t be seeing you, he just wants to hear your voice, even if it’s just for a moment

•He isn’t the jealous type, but if he gets bad vibes from a person you interact with regularly, he will let you know, this man just wants to keep you safe

•He feels responsible for your safety and wellbeing and he always wants you to be happy

•He is bad at arguing, and he doesn’t get angry easily, so most of your fights/arguments are very tame

•It never escalates to a screaming match, and you always apologize to each other if you say something hurtful and just make peace afterwards

~Shigaraki Tomura~

•Tomura has like zero experience with dating, because obviously he has never dated before

•He’s also very socially awkward due to his upbringing, and he doesn’t know how to express his feelings well

•So when you started dating, he’s sort of bad at it, if that makes sense?

•He doesn’t know how to ask for affection, he just sort of takes it

•He always gives you a chance to stop him or pull away, he’s not a savage, but he is quite needy

•He loves cuddling with you while he plays his games, you’re just sitting on his lap, or on the floor between his legs with him resting his chin on top of your head

•He barely sleeps as it is, but now that he’s gotten used to sleeping with you in his arms, he can’t sleep without you

•He was pretty insecure about kissing you at first, because of his scarred and chapped lips, but since you didn’t seem to mind it, he stopped caring

•Especially after Tomura gained better control of his quirk, he loves simply touching you

•Things like holding your hand, grabbing your ass or pinning you against the wall by your wrists are some of his favorite things to do

•What ensues after pinning you to the wall varies depending on his mood, but he of course doesn’t do anything you don’t want him to

•On the contrary, he loves to make you beg

•He can be a bit pushy sometimes, and you have to make your boundaries very clear to him and hold onto them

•He might sometimes get a bit annoyed if you deny him, and he doesn’t always understand why you do that, but as long as you’re patient with him and explain it to him, he’ll get it eventually

•When Tomura gets angry, he can be really fucking mean and nothing is off limits

•He doesn’t hurt you physically, but damn he can say some really hurtful things

•And he is really bad at apologizing, because he hates admitting he was in the wrong

•So you will very rarely get an apology, if ever

•If someone were to check you out, or god forbid touch you and he were to catch them, those people would probably end up dead or at least lose a limb or two

•So possessive af, but he would never hurt you for getting attention, how the people giving you that attention end up though? Yikes

~Dabi~

•As I’ve probably said a hundred times before, this man is possessive as hell

•Like if someone were to touch you, they’d get burned

•He isn’t really protective, because he trust you can handle yourself though

•Dabi isn’t really a soft, gentle person, but he does care about you

•Even if it is in a kind of self serving way, and he’s really mostly looking for the relationship to benefit him, rather than both of you

•He’s very affectionate but it’s only when he wants to, if he doesn’t feel like it he will physically push you away

•If he doesn’t want you to kiss him, he will literally put his palm on your face to stop you

•He rarely says anything about it

•Or if he’s indifferent about it, he will just let you lay on him on the bed, while he scrolls through his phone or something

•He likes sleeping with you, but he cannot stand it when you hog the blankets, and he has kicked your leg and almost pushed you off the bed in revenge

•Dabi also has the habit of absolutely emptying your bridge when he comes over, because he’s always hungry and he only really cares about it when he gets free food aka raiding your fridge

•He’s a pretty lousy boyfriend to be honest, but he does show you affection and takes care of you when it fits him or when you really need it

•His idea of a date is just watching a movie at your place and eating take out, he doesn’t like going out and he can’t really go out in public anyway because of his wanted status

•He’s not very good at comforting you with words, so if you’re upset, he mostly just holds you and lets you cry or rant or whatever you need to do in that moment

•Sometimes it feels like Dabi loves to argue, like it might feel like he will just try to escalate the situation into a yelling match

•And he has this ability to say the most hurtful things so nonchalantly and it’s infuriating

•He doesn’t really know how to apologize so your arguments usually just end with him pulling you close and muffling your voice by holding your head against his chest and he lets you yell into his shirt

•He does say sorry eventually, but it might take a while and it might sound a bit insincere, even when he means it, because he has to always have that damn attitude when he says it

tbh i'm not entirely sure what the point of compress's backstory was. not only did it happen randomly (in a scene that would've made complete sense without it too) but it doesn't really line up with any of his actions either. the idea of him being the great-grandson of a robin hood-esque figure in superhuman society is actually really cool and i kinda wish horikoshi brought it up sooner, because i don't really see how kidnapping bakugo or helping unleash gigantomachia on all of japan is helping poor people y'know? if anything, the widespread destruction and devastation caused is going to make things worse

After all this time I'm still unsure what the point of Compress being related to the robin-hood figure was except to hastily give Compress righteous ideals that were never actually shown to us. Yet, as poorly set up as it is, it actually adds nothing to the story or really inform his character what-so-ever.

I think a good example of how this failed is to instead wonder how much better this would have worked if instead it was Stain that revealed he was Oji, the Peerless Thief's relative. It would still have issues, but in the very least it would explain why Stain believes what he does and went to such extreme lengths. The reveal of that parentage would inform previous set up characterization.

Compress, in contrast, never showed any concern for the poor or to be in the villain game because he disagreed with Heroes making money. Stain was very clear that he hated Heroes because he felt they were fame and money hungry, but Compress wasn't even shown to be with the LoV because he agreed with or was inspired by Stain like Toga, Dabi and Spinner were.

When Compress says he's related to this famous thief the first thought is 'who?', and then 'why?', which makes a bad reveal. We have very little prior info about Oji except what he did and that he's a famous villain from the start of Heroics. We don't know if people agree[ed] with him, or if he was well liked, so we don;t really understand how anyone in the world would react to this knowledge. Nor does it really tell us anything about Compress as a character because he has not shown these robin-hood like ideals in any of his actions or appearances.

It also doesn't really add to what he's doing in that current moment of said reveal, which is helping the LoV escape. Hori tires to connect it by having Sako say the LoV will see that his wishes are carried out in his stead, but again, we have never seen the LoV hate Heroes because they have to much money, not even Twice who was so poor he was homeless before the LoV. It would have been far more impactful to instead just show that Compress cared about his friends and maybe show flashback panels of their happy times together. And Hori does sort of have him say he's also sacrificing himself because he likes the LoV as friends but having the split time between these to reasons means neither is getting the time they need to have any real impact.

And even if this reveal was given to Stain instead I still think it wouldn't have been 100% great all by itself. Hori has issues with portraying the Heroes as bad which includes things like making to much money or being greedy. The only out right stated as rich Hero characters are Enji and the Iida family, but it doesn't appear to be Jeff Beazos levels of wealth, nor do they do anything really bad with it. Sure, it impressed Rei's parents but it wasn't as if Enji just saw Rei on the street and bribed her parents to give her to him. Both parties were looking for arranged marriages and that's how they found each other.

Also it's not as if any of the poverty in the story (Twice and Ochako) is hinted or brought up to be caused by all the government money being siphoned into Heros rather than social programs. It's not shown that all Heroes make significantly more than average people either. In fact most mid-tier Heroes seem to be rather average and having to fight for a decent pay check. And even the wealthy Heroes don't have more than money than Shigaraki's father who had a civilian job.

Which does under cut the point of Oji even existing or what sort of positive spin he'd give Compress. I mean Robin-god stole from the King who was over taxing people. Oji apparently stole from Heroes just as the job was becoming recognized. They couldn't possibly have been making as much money as they are in the present, nor are they taking away money from normal people who are actually doing all the work while they sit on their ass like CEOs of mega corporations.

Like most of his villains Hori tied to give a righteous reason for why Sako is a villain but when looking at the work as a whole it just doesn't hold up with the prior, or even present world building. Instead it can at times feel as if the Heroes and villains inhabit totally separate worlds but not in the 'Heroes don't see it because they're to privileged' sense.

As I've said before I have no problem with villains--I love me some good villains. My issue with the LoV and really all of Hori's villains is that the writing around them is so contradictory, rushed and tacked on. Compress does nothing to help the poor, or criticize the Heroes for how much money they have. Saying 'well he had this robin-hood like relative that he's secretly been following the ideals of this entire time' last minute just doesn't work. It's not backed up by his past or current actions, nor is it a particularly righteous ideal when it's not an established problem of the world.

His great grand father could have been against Heroes abusing animals and it would have had about the same impact. Sure it's a good believe--people shouldn't hurt animals, but we haven't been shown that there's an issue with Heroes abusing animals, nor has Compress shown any signs of wanting to help animals. The reveal feels so irreverent because it is. It doesn't re-contextualize the character's past actions, or the world they live in. It's information that we get in one chapter that is never brought up again and has yet to be used in the narrative going forward.

This isn’t a lov one but it’s really funny so I thought I’d put it out there:

-when bnha was first gaining traction on tumblr, it was all art of Tsuyu. I have no idea why. People were talking about the funky frog lesbian superhero anime. Maybe it was just the people I was following, maybe it was a general trend, but I LOVED her design!!! my fav color and frogs r super cute!!! And I already loved superhero media, so I was like. I’ll watch it. For Her. SO. FROPPY IS THE REASON I WATCHED/READ BNHA. I went in thinking she was the protag and I was sooo confused when Izuku was... tbh I still think it’d be more interesting if she was lmaooo aus where? ...seriously if anyone has good aus where this is the case send them LOL

-I don’t actually feel that bad abt what Shigaraki’s doing. I still feel bad for him. I’m this post. yes im an apologist. its not my fault hes sexy and has been running around shirtless. hes a lesbian icon like thor is. I want to touch his hair. hes never done anything wrong in his life. he could kill all might, deku, bakugo, whatever, I’d still be sayin this. I don’t feel bad for gt. like. was anyone genuinely attached to him? lmao

-well u know how spinner’s quirk is just sticking to things? We haven’t seen him use it in canon except like, (1) time iirc?? I think this is probably bc he’s embarrassed about it even in front of the league... I loooove the idea that he gets more comfortable with it around them :”) and also how shigaraki. um. does that falling asleep thing while standing up with his eyes open, canonly? (which I still love lmfao) Imagine someone in the league walking in a dark room, turning on the light n just seeing. Spinner upside down, stuck to the ceiling asleep bc heat rises and its Warmer Up There. (cold blooded thing like tsuyu?? come ON give him a big fuzzy coat and scarf...) and Shigaraki in the center of the room, slouched but still standing, eyes open and motionless. Theyre both sleeping. Whomever sees it just...slowly walks out. LMAO

-Toga roller derby au. No deep thoughts I just think she’d be good at it. 

-Toga 100% is a social butterfly and could befriend anyone if they didn’t just judge the fact she was trying to stab them smh :/ (ok but seriously anytime I see cute friendships with her n the other kids im like :) aw. I feel like her and Camie...would be good friends. Camie feels chill enough to be like ‘ok whatever thats totally fine I forgive you!!’ LMAO we love airheads here)

-HOW DID TOGA GET SO GOOD AT FIGHTING? We know she’s been on the run since middle school or so, but good enough to pin Deku down after he’s been formally trained at a ~hero school~ for a while? (she pinned him TWICE I think, once when his arms were messed up, but, the other time as Camie, so? AND THEN WAS ONE OF THE 100 PEOPLE TO GO THRU TO THE 2ND ROUND OF THAT? even tho she didn’t bc she had to leave) good enough to beat Aizawa in a fight and stab him? A professional hero and teacher for YEARS? Is that seriously just street training??? Can people acknowledge how amazing her combat skills and reflexes are??? More Toga appreciation when?? Also her backstory??? SO subversive and incredible, hate when people reduce her to just a ~typical anime yandere~ :/

-Tomura doing stuff with his hands/fingers to train his quirk!!! And to learn to be careful with it!! obv I’m a Big Fan of him playing piano to do this and video games are prob the canon answer, but like, guitar or any stringed instrument that requires Hands would work too. Or knitting/sewing? EMBROIDERING? ??? Please, let me give you the mental image of him knitting aggressively while mentally scheming, watching a twitch streamer or smth too while doing it. (Doing stuff with your hands is a great way to let your mind come up with creative stuff, that’s how I come up with writing/drawing ideas 70% of the time)

-Tomura actually PREFERS cutesty, relaxing games. I mean, he does fighting and bloody stuff irl, games are a way to relax...he’ll play shooters and gta type games with The Lads, but. on his own?? animal crossing. pokemon. kirby games. mario. zelda. BIG ZELDA FAN (not saying this bc I, personally, am biased, but,) slime rancher, stardew valley, funny simulator games... he really enjoys those :”) God forbid he has a kid bc they’re 100% getting named after a viddy game character unless someone can talk him out of it LOL. Toga and Tomura are that animal crossing /doom meme where she’d be asking for doom and him asking for animal crossing :”)

-Bits and pieces of Before are kinda stuck in Kurogiri’s brain, but like. mostly useless stuff the doctor didn’t care about removing. Like, types of clouds. So Tomura kinda picks up on stuff like that. He can just look at clouds and tell you what type they are because Kurogiri used to take him up to high places in the city and point them out to calm Tomura down from a panic attack when he was younger. He can tell you if the sky looks like it’ll rain with a 80% accuracy rate too. 

-Kurogiri left food out for kitties in the alley beside the bar. They weren’t allowed in for Health Reasons (it IS a bar with sanitation standards!!) And Tomura really wouldn’t stop it or encourage it either way so long as Kurogiri did his job, but occasionally would stand outside with Kurogiri and just watch the kitties from a distance. If any approached he’d go back in (lowkey afraid he’d hurt them by touching them :( ) They kinda kept that between them tho, bc they both Know AFO is a big bag of dicks and no fun

-people have pointed out how similar aizawa and tomura look. this was 100% the intention. tomura has a hatecrush on him. THIS IS SO FUNNY AND HORRIBLY AWKWARD FOR KUROGIRI LMAO

-Sako??? Mr. Dramatic?? Opera fan. Drama kid. Like, obviously, but. Really. He is. I feel like he can speak a dozen languages. I also feel like he used to be an overachiever but got too ambitious. He was def some kind of leader at one point of a diff Group or something that fell apart. I LOVE how creative he is with his quirk and the magician theme??? incredible. I don’t show him enough love but I Love Clowns :o)

-I don’t care what their canon heights are. Spinner and Dabi? short kings. My height hcs are (tallest to shortest) Kurogiri, Twice, Sako (who also has heels on his boots and a tall hat, keep in mind), Tomura, Magne (Tomura and Magne are about the same height imo) Toga, Spinner, Dabi. LISTEN. Dabi has short energy. Sorry. it’s true tho

-This is a semi-popular hc I think bc I KNOW I’ve seen it before, but Dabi having Terrible Vision and needing glasses is so so good. (seriously, with burns THAT close to his eyeballs, how could he not?) 

-he tries to be a tough loner coolguy. you’d think he’d smoke, but I hc his ‘weak constitution’ comes with weak lungs (esp from years of a flame quirk?? inhaling smoke over so much time is SO bad for you, most people who die in fires actually die of smoke inhalation...) so he’s got like, an inhaler, can’t smoke, actually gets carsick, needs glasses, overuses quirk to save friends constantly, likes napping, a little awkward and rude. Tomura put him in charge of the vanguard so he’s smart, and good with strategies too, like a nerd. this is the Dabi I wanna see, not the popular fandom version of him tbh also step on hawks one more time sir :”)

-I wish all the lov fics weren’t?? villain!deku like I said earlier, but also, chatfics? I have nothing against them but most of them are just a bombardment of Memes with NO PLOT!!! Listen. text/chatfics CAN have plot and be an interesting way to tell a story. I almost want to write one just to show what I mean...

I know I’ve said I like spinaraki and blackmagic, but I am a multishipper, so a few ships I don’t talk about that I like that involve the lov in some way:

-toga/any of the 1A girls??? or Camie??? super interesting. ALSO in the radio drama, bakugo’s voice actor said Toga was his favorite girl??? so?? bakugo/toga ?? I WANT TO SEE IT. but specifically my fav dynamic with her is when someone ELSE is the one to like her first, it’s what she deserves.

-Kurogiri/aizawa/mic?? any variety of that is also 👌🏻 I also kinda wanna see kurogiri/all might bc. Dads. COME ON. they bond over ‘well, I raised him, and you want to have a part in his life now?? ok. earn it. prove it. I’ll screen you first’ or something LMAO they’re both genuinely concerned for the boy, and SOOO biased. let them bond.

-WAIT WHERE IS THE MIC/COMPRESS CONTENT. THEYRE BOTH DRAMATIC. ENEMIES TO LOVERS?? HELLO??? SOMEONE?? ANYONE. rarepair hours

-giran/twice is cute. like he was hyping him up so much and so ready to go save him...

-dabi/spinner?? come ON dabi could get over his learned biases and spend time with him and they could hold hands. I want them to.

-dabihawks. Obviously bc the Drama. yes even still, don’t @ me. (also, shigahawks, seen some REAL interesting fics with it tbh) or spinahawks?? adding hawks to a ship is like adding extra chili powder. makes it SPICY dramatic)

-nine/tomura don’t @ me once again. both kinda afo’s playthings, nine obviously was the test for tomura’s new upgrades...they both love their friends...That Scene in the Flower field </3 hmmm tragicships are fun.

-tomura/mirko. more enemies to lovers. big fan of her and bunnies. remember when he wore bunny ears in bnha smash. (ok its crack but. CUTE.) 

-I’ve also seen shiganatsu and shigafuyu and I’m like. these are cute, but also Dabi’s reaction always makes me cry laugh. so good.

-MOST EVERYONE IN THE LOV IS LGBTQA+!!! heres my personal headcanons:

Toga: pan or bi (CANON BASICALLY)

Magne: transwoman (CANON BABEY) bi, leans towards men. (her crush on dabi in bnha smash... uwu content where)

Shuichi: gets sooooo flustered canonly, I think he’d go for the first person Who Hit On Him (I can see him being the target of those mean pranks where someone says ‘my friend likes you!!’ and the friend is like ‘eww!!’ :(((( ) he’s super hesitant for romance, lots of repressed stuff. gay but takes sooo long to realize it bc he thinks most women are conventionally pretty Aesthethically, feels obligated to Like Them, but has bad self esteem so never goes after them, then only likes (1) guy so hes like?? is this allowed?? is this allowed???? (HES LIKE. IN LOVE WITH SHIGARAKI)

Dabi: bi but rly hasn’t ever gotten to date anyone, so he’s actually more reserved about it and while he’ll tease, he absolutely is absent and kinda oblivious (again, I KNOWWWW bnha smash isnt canon, but. my god. when magne is hitting on him and he Just Doesnt Understand.) also hes ace

Tomura: doesn’t care. (just prob says ‘its whatever’) trans/nonbinary (i’M NOT PROJECTING, BUT. :’/) probably goes with like, the label queer if any but doesn’t care much for labels

Kurogiri: bi??? kind of??? I say kind of bc well, I hc U Know Whom as bi, I feel like thatd carry over but he’d be really avoidant to date anyone bc hes gotta Watch His Kid u know? this is gonna sound surprising but I think he’d be the type to be like ‘ok we can have a one night stand/fling BUT it cant get personal bc I have a Job to Do for my Son so don’t get up in your feelings’ and act a little coldly at first or very ..not personable... depending on who it was he’d prob turn around eventually, esp if that person valued his feelings/job :”)

Sako: that mans Not Straight. I hc him as gay and also trans :3c

Twice: Bi and HAS dated prob more than anyone else in the league imo, super comfortable with his sexuality and supportive of everyone else’s :)

I kinda wanna draw the Giant Woman scene with the big bird swallowing Steven starring Dabi (Amethyst), Hawks (Pearl), Himiko (Steven) and ReDestro’s Nose (bird) but Not Right Now. Instead… have this.

Once upon a time… Hawks put together a list of series that seemed to have an overall positive vibe and similarly positive reviews, for himself, for when he was hanging with the League. Because sometimes, there’s just nothing to do but hang out and that can get boring. Himiko and Jin started to flock him eventually, and he got a TV to watch shit properly on together bc the smartphone wasn’t ideal for 3 people. Then, after the last few episodes of Orange is the New Black (for which Spinner and Dabi joined too), and FLCL (which Shigaraki may have been watching here and there while fidgeting with his DS)… they start Steven Universe. (everyone’s pros and cons after the cut)

Himiko’s favorite is Garnet! And Stevonnie!!! They're made of LOVE, as much as their separate parts ❤️ She likes Onion and Sour Cream a lot, too. (Like Steven, they are comfortable with being weird and people like them, too!) A less popular favourite of hers are the Topaz. Finds both Amethyst and Peridot hilarious, but has a love-hate relationship with Pearl. Does hope for more Mystery Girl later, though- she loves it when Pearl goes wild or sings. Multishipper. Jasper puts her off for some reason she cannot pinpoint, dislikes Yellow and Blue, and White Diamond can straight-up die. Heavily dislikes Mrs Maheswaran, too. Fav episodes are Alone Together, The New Lars, The Question and The Answer- she was at least as excited about the wedding as Hawks or Jin. Didn't enjoy Maximum Capacity, the Sardonyx interview, and the disappearing townspeople arc.

Dabi is a hardcore Lapis Lazuli stan. He also likes Ruby and Sapphire, finds Garnet kinda dull tho. Low-key stans Sadie, Lars and Ame, and while he says he hates ‘that loser guy’ (Greg), he's just jealous of Steven. He’s… kinda torn about Blue. Reminds him of his mom. Nobody hates White or Marty more passionately than him, tho. Despises actual losers Ronaldo and Kevin; he was terrified for a split second in Horror Club bc former and Sadie got on dangerously well. Hasn’t seen all of the show, is mostly missing early episodes. Bought some Mike Krol CDs online, because those songs in Last One Out of Beach City SLAPPED. Compress hates it when that distorted shit blares from the salvaged, loud-ass speakers (so does Hawks, but ssssh), shaking the entire building to its core. He gets headaches from it… so does Shigaraki, but he’s too dead inside to care, so there’s rarely any complaints from him.

Jin’s favorite is Garnet, he has a lot of respect for her. He likes Amethyst’s entire arc as-is. Unapologetic Centie stan, and is That One Person who likes a lot of minor characters- he even warms up to the Cluster. The fusion experiments, Malachite, and Jasper's other escapades, on the other hand… d i s c o m f o r t. Hawks took a single fleeting look at the title “Steven and the Stevens” and made sure he didn't watch that one. And boy, what a bullet dodge that was… didn't help with Keeping It Together, though. Favorite episodes are, interestingly enough, Gem Drill (which did freak him out a lot but he still loved the ending), Mindful Education and he has a soft spot for That Scene of Change Your Mind. (He cried.)

Shigaraki only joins when he feels like it, so he's blind on like half the story. But, that won't stop him from taking a general shine to Pearl (??), Steven (???? Enjoys Alexandrite and Obsidian for the aesthetic. He despises Jasper, on the other hand. Detto for Ronaldo. Still thinks Rose shattered PD, even though Steven is Pink… fuck if he cares to put it together tho.

Sako joined in for the Mirror Gem/Ocean Gem episodes, which were exciting enough to keep him around. (He caught up, too.) Won’t admit liking Smiley (or his partner), but he’s his actual favourite, along with Greg, Pearl, Smoky and Sardonyx. (Who are, incidentally, all showy bastards.) He’s low-key fascinated with gem culture, their “biology,” shattering and bubbling, and has theory sessions with Jin and Hawks (which Shuichi sometimes joins in by emerging from nowhere like Truth to shame them for their continuity sins). Sometimes he thinks back to So Many Birthdays and concludes that yes, he still gets whiplash from it. Adored Mr. Greg for all the songs and themes, likes all the concert/gig episodes for making him feel nostalgic, The Trial, OH GOD THE TRIAL... and, while he’s not that big on Garnet, he cried with Reunited.

Spinner is only occasionally there, because he’s embarrassed over liking a kid’s show. He watches the episodes online instead, and is really into it… so much, in fact, that he posts meta and shit. His favourites are Garnet, Greg, Sadie, Jasper, Centie and the off-colors, but especially Connie and Amethyst. #freeBuckDewey from his own stupid-ass politician father. Also dislikes Lars, though this has lessened by the season 5 finale. On the other hand, he was ok with Ronaldo in the beginning, but is fed up with his shit now. He can’t bring himself to deal with any of the Diamonds; their system sucks, and so do they.

Hawks himself likes Steven and Peridot the most (they are #relatable). When things get a little too real with them, he's sweating bullets… nearly has a panic attack himself when Steven gets one in Gem Drill. Alone Together anxiety attack got him good, too. Let’s not get into the Zoo and Trial plots… they were a ride for him from start to finish. Gets emotional a lot tbh, but keeps composure fairly well. Favourite episodes? There’s little logic… but he does like all the Lion ones and most Lapis centered content. Other faves are Pearl (hard worker!! Depressed Bitch!!), Amethyst (another depressed bitch who is trying to enjoy life while feeling out of place), Connie (another hard working, possibly depressed… person), Garnet, as well as the sickeningly sweet Rupphire shit! Wants Greg to be his dad! And Centie, sweet, innocent Centie. He also takes a liking to Lars and Sadie as they make their stands… and Rose after you-know-which episodes because he relates to her situation. Oh, and he adores fucking Sunstone bc they made him cry laugh. Yellow, White and the Cluster make him uncomfortable, though, and he’s torn about Jasper and Aquamarine for the same reasons he likes Rose. Honestly, is there anyone he doesn’t like in this show to some capacity? Sike, there is: he openly hates on Marty and Kevin lmao

@tehsharkster I agree with the problem of many names, tho tbh it wasn’t an issue a decade ago (I mean P1 had the problem of manga vs dramcd vs novel but really only the manga was known here for a good long while so everyone just kinda went with that....not that many people talked about it much anyway XP). 

It only became a problem starting with the P4 anime......maybe if Sogabe was able to finish both the P3/4 mangas by that time it could’ve/would’ve been different..... Or maybe they should’ve just gone with the DeSu2 route, I mean yeah they made a manga first (the one with the MC’s name as Hiro, but the main protag was Io irrc), but then they made the anime and re-adapted said anime as a manga (kinda surprised they didn’t do that with P3/4/4GA tbh.....I mean I’d buy it all over again tbh). Ya get the manga sales and the anime sales and everything is consistent. :D

Now as for Makoto the name.....Atlus isn’t as.....much of an asshole as we think they are. Yes there’s already a crap ton of Makotos, and Naoyas, and Kazuyas, and Akiras in the world and MegaTen..... But they all have different kanji (with the exception of two of the three Naoya/Kazuya pairs....but they want to make that a callback to the P1 manga so like....that’s different). Well different kanji between P3/5 and DeSu2....eff you if you are a fan of P2 tho:

I mean they all are different and have different meanings (just looking at the Makoto part of the name, not their last name):

Makoto Yuki/P3MC (理):  logic, arrangement, reason, justice, truth 

Makoto Niijima from P5 and Makoto P2 Stalker guy (真):  (logical) truth; reality; genuineness​; seriousness; just; right (ok I like the stalker P2 guy a lot more cause the IRONY of the meaning of this name ldskljfl;saf)

Makoto Sako from DeSu2 ( 真琴): She uses two kanji btw, and yeah one of them is the same as Makoto N and Stalker-to. Anyway you know what the first kanji is, so the second kanji means: harp; koto; string instrument

And in case y’all are wondering, none of them share the same kanji/meaning as Makoto Ito from School Days, which btw means truth, honesty and fidelity and y’all know there’s irony in that (if you don’t know why it’s ironic, bless you and don’t watch School Days.....unless you want a laugh and a dark deconstruction of harem animes then ok go watch school days). And btw Makoto is a name I really hate....mostly cause of School Days.....but yeah not keen on that name nor am I on Akira (cause.....I’m also not a fan of the movie Akira.....which I know is blasphemous in the anime community but.....it wasn’t a fun/enjoyable film and I resent both names because of that 8U). Also btw all the Megaten Akiras that are spelled with kanji are different (so that means two are different, the other two are katakana/hiragana I think). 

So basically.....Atlus cares.....just enough for the Japanese fandom since they can tell the difference.....as for the West? Rip to us. ;w;
