One thing I love about the amazing story telling in Hazbin Hotel are the little hints dropped along the way is the impact they can make later on.

Like in episode 4 when Husker reveals to Angel that he used to be an Overlord, but gambled his soul away and is now indebted to Alastor.

It makes a previously funny scene in the pilot hit that much harder, when Alastor forcibly pulls him to the hotel.

Husker straight up asks "You think I'm some kind of fucking clown?!"

To which Alastor says "Maybe."

That single passing little interaction that was followed by a laugh track, in my opinion, says so much on how Alastor views him now that we understand more of their past.

I can’t stop imagining all the soft gestures Sir Pentious would show Cherri Bomb that she probably isn’t used to. I love to think that he would play with her hair! He probably loves how soft and fluffy it is and knowing how he tinkers with parts to build things I can see him making little intricate knots in random pieces of her hair because why not? Her letting him do that already shows so much unspoken trust and I bet she finds it so endearing.

ok so in my rewatch, I just got to Thai Feud. And I’m sure this is not a new take, but wow Ned is such an asshole???

The couple who owns his favorite restaurant are going through such a hard time because their daughter has literally gone missing, and he decides this is a good time to HARASS them for their recipes for his food truck.

And this isn’t even starting on him being a white dude harassing a Thai family for their family recipes lol.

But they LITERALLY show photos of him with the Boonchuys over the years, he would have watched Anne grow up, would you not be so worried about her disappearing?? I cannot get over this, Temple Frogs references how much Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy struggled while Anne was gone, and you got this annoying ass dude who won’t leave you alone!!!!! I don’t care if he had good intentions and apologized at the end!! Mrs. Boonchuy shouldn’t have forgave him !!!

Ok so I may have started watching The Secret of Us solely because I saw the pilot for Only You and that's not out yet, but the same actresses are in this other show. And this show is melodramatic, over the top, and utterly ridiculous but I am so invested now.
