reblogs are greatly appreciated <3

even in the dim, blue light of the EARLY MORNINGS, you can be sure that ITTO is in the kitchen with you. while you're frying your perfect eggs over the stove, bedhead and sleepwear and all, he's sauntering in yawning as he presses a kiss to your cheek with a sleepy 'good morning'. his hands rest on your hips, creeping forward little by little until he's embracing you from behind, his chin resting on your shoulder as he watches you cook. his voice is still raspy from sleep and his big t-shirt-baggy pants combo hangs loosely over his toned frame as he shuffles around the kitchen to start the coffee and set the table. you watch him fondly from the stove, smiling softly at the sight of your boyfriend's uncharacteristically gentle demeanor. it's almost comical seeing such a big, muscular, oni gang leader in his sleepwear humming while pouring coffee and gathering dishes, but these moments are precious to you. when his eyes meet your staring, returning your affectionate grin with his own, you know you wouldn't trade your mornings for anything in the world.
Tumblr media
KUJOU SARA, whether she realizes it or not, is always expecting you once it reaches MIDDAY. you're always waiting outside the tenryou commission's gates, basket of groceries in hand, waving as she approaches from a long morning's work. you walk her to your home just like you do every day, babbling about whatever events had happened to you during your errands, showing her the new furoshiki cloths you had picked up from oguro mio's shop, mentioning how you managed to get today's fish on sale. once back at your place sara sits down at the counter, like usual, watching as you get to work on making lunch. she notes the way you work so smoothly as if it was just second nature, never skipping a beat even as you continue to talk. she admires how you're able to cook and wash rice just right, how even as you're clearly focusing on her rather than the food, everything still continues to come out perfectly. sara doesn't even realize that she's zoned out staring at you until after you're standing right in front of her, your freshly made bento box neatly wrapped in the new purple furoshiki you had bought that day held out proudly for her to take. she can't help but smile as she walks back towards the tenryou commission, staring at the cat-shaped rice the entire way back.
Tumblr media
dinners with XIAO under the hazy light of the EVENING are always memorable, especially if you're able to drag him into the kitchen beforehand. he's not one to eat conventional food, we all know he only enjoys almond tofu, but this doesn't compel him enough to stop you as you try and teach him how to cook your favorite meal. he can't push you away as you gently steady his hands on the kitchen knives and he can't ignore the feeling of contentment as he knocks hips with you as you simmer vegetables on the stove. and he especially can't deny the butterflies that erupt into flight at each smile and words of praise each time he manages to do something right. while he's trying his best, his focus is split unevenly between you and the task at hand. his eyes seem to naturally pull towards your furrowed brow and the way your hair is pushed back away from your eyes, and he can't stop the flush when he catches himself staring. after the two of you finish eating the meal you made together up on the balcony and you look up at him expectantly asking him to teach you how to make almond tofu, he realizes just how in love he really is.
Tumblr media
when you wake up past MIDNIGHT craving brownies, EULA is always prepared to help make the best damn brownies in teyvat. she'll happily follow you out of bed, letting you drag her by the hand into the dark kitchen, chuckling softly with you as you take out the bowls and cups. even if you know how to add ingredients properly to the bowl (and chances are, you do) she'll insist on helping guide your hand, standing very close behind you. her glacial hair is messy, falling around her face and tickling yours as she stands oh-so-close to you while adding said ingredients, small words of praise falling from her lips with each addition to the mixture. she'll hold her finger covered in batter to your lips to taste, even swiping a bit onto your nose while smiling as you pout up at her. she'll stand beside you, her arm loosely wrapped around your waist as you mix and will slide the pan into the oven once you finish. she thinks you're just adorable as you cuddle up in the living room waiting for the brownies to cook, jumping up every now and then to check to see how they're doing. she'll watch with nothing but fondness as you clean up after the mess you both made until you splash her with a bit of water from the sink, that mischievous look shining in your eyes. she'll chuckle, mentioning how she will have her vengeance before moving to come help you tidy up.

Queen I got so much trauma the hookers are my comfort family and Severen is my comfort character. (you don't gotta do it if you don't want to)
may I please request a found family fic or headcanons of a fem!reader that ran away from a unhealthy home and she meets the hookers and sev falls for her and shes not used to all the touch and affections and Jesse and diamondback take her in as parental figures and homer,Caleb and may as siblings.
Dude I 1000000% feel you on this one. I got you. Also I hope you don't mind this turned out kinda long! 😅 I got carried away. Hopefully it's wht you had in mind but if you want more focus on the family after the meeting I could do part 2?
Some kinda big triggers this one people so if you aren't in the headspace to handle hard drug use, alcoholism, toxic family dynamics, physical & verbal abuse, non-graphic sexual harassment please take care of yourself and skip this one.
And a special thank you to @turquoisebolotie for beta reading this bad boy and giving me some notes! Appreciate you. ❤️
"Another beer," your step father, Rick, slurred at you from the couch in the next room. You looked up from the vegetables you were cutting, not quite sure if you heard him. "What!?" You called back. "I said," he was screaming now, "Get me another goddamn beer!" "Oh for Christ's sake!" Your mother stormed into the kitchen, a lit cigarette dangling from her mouth. She brushed past you to the fridge and ripped the door open. "Can't you do anything around here?" You turned back to the cutting board and kept working. "I'm making dinner," it was just under your breath but her ears were as sharp as her temper. She delivered a harsh smack to the side of your head. "Watch your damn mouth! You owe us for letting you stay here. Without us you'd be on the streets like your brother." You swallowed down the rest of your words and averted your eyes. Sometimes you wonder if you'd be better off.
When you finished dinner you brought the plates out to the living room where you all usually ate in front of the TV. You set Rick's plate down first along with a new beer, not eager to be yelled at again soon. Then you set your mother's down but she shoved it to the edge of her little fold out table. Her appetite hadn't been the same for a while and you weren't surprised. Finally you sat on the floor and set your own plate on the coffee table. The Brady Bunch blared over the TV and your eyes glazed over as you half watched half daydreamed of a world where your family problems were solved over the course of one episode. A half hour interval where all your issues could be wrapped up with a neat little bow. You went to take a bite of your food when suddenly the full, unopened can of beer you'd brought out for Rick beamed off the side of your head. Your fork fell from your hands and you reached up to grab where he'd hit you. "Fuck!" "It's warm you idiot! Get me a cold one!"
Your days went much like that and those were the good ones. The only times they got better is when your mom spent all evening doped up and nodding out on the couch, too blissed and comatose to argue or fight with you. You found solace in the night time when they were asleep. You waited until midnight and then you could tiptoe out of your room and around the house. You were eternally grateful they weren't easily roused. It was times like these where you could do little things without being screamed at. Watch what you wanted on TV at a low volume, steal Rick's beer from the fridge, eat the leftovers your mom had left. You knew they'd never notice. They didn't notice much of anything. When they weren't outright abusive they were negligent and that suited you fine. You weren't a little kid who needed them, you were a grown woman. So why did you stay? Each day the answer became less clear to you. Maybe you were scared to end up like your brother, maybe you had just grown complacent in your routine, or maybe you just lacked faith in yourself all together. You turned the TV off before grabbing your half full beer and going to sit out on the wooden stoop your brother had built for the trailer. You sipped at the can and stared off past the trailer park and into the night. Wondering what was out there for you.
"You fucking bitch! C'mere!" Scott Mathis, a friend of Rick's, shot his hand out towards you and tried to grab your leg from his position on the floor. You'd been walking past him after dropping off yet another drink to Rick when he'd grabbed your ass. On instinct you punched him in the balls. You honestly hadn't even meant to do it, it just happened! He grabbed your left leg and you jerked it hard, kicking him in the stomach now. Rick came up behind you and grabbed you up in a headlock. "Have you lost your damn mind, girl!?" You kicked as he lifted you off the ground, desperate to get free. "You put her down Rick!" Your mother bolted out of the kitchen like a bat out of hell. Only she and your actual dad were allowed to put their hands on you, that was the rule she had. Rick dropped you to the ground only to turn on your mother and smack her across the face. "You bastard!" She spat at him before swinging on him but you knew your mom didn't have the strength she used to have, the drugs had eaten away at what muscle mass she'd had. You watched as Scott slipped out the door, still cussing you, before wedging yourself between your mom and Rick. His fist connected with your eye and the pain split through your head. You reeled back and threw your arms up to defend yourself but he just kept going, even grabbing one of your arms and pulling it away to get another shot at your face. Your mother stood back and just watched the scene unfold this time, so much for her rule.
You did your best to fight back, but Rick was a big guy. It wasn't over until he was a gasping sweaty mess, he shoved you to the ground with one last kick. "Fuck this shit! I don't need this! I'm going back to live in Lori's garage!" Finally your mother kneeled next to you on the ground, nails digging into your shoulder. "Oh you go back to fucking Lori then Rick! I don't need you! Y/n makes more money at the diner!" Your eyes darted up to her and you had to bite your tongue. She let him beat you and now she wanted you to take care of her? Typical. Rick stormed out of the trailer, slamming the door as he left and rattling the frame of the trailer. Your mother didn't stay by your side long or offer you a hand to get up. She quickly beeline for her stash, eager to forget her own troubles.
She spent the rest of the day and evening on the couch, head lolled off to the side, a steady web of drool flowing past her lips and a belt now hanging loosely around her arm. You stood in front of the phone, staring at it as if it could jump up and bite you. You glanced over at the firmly shut front door then back and finally you grabbed it off the hook and dialed your brother's number. It rang and rang but no answer came, you hoped and he didn't get evicted again. But you honestly weren't sure. The answering machine clicked and you hesitated before simply hanging up. There was no point in trying to get him to come home. You knew Rick would be back and your brother refused to live under the same roof as that dickhead.
You wandered back into the living room and looked down at your mom with a sigh. You pulled the belt away from her arm and tossed it over the back of the couch before laying her down on her side, much more comfortable than being folded over on herself. You'd started to notice a prominent curve forming in her spine lately. Without orders being barked at you you weren't sure what to do so you paced around the house holding a bag of peas to your bruising eye.
After a while you threw the melting veggies into the sink and started to pick up around the trailer simply desperate for something to keep your hands and mind occupied. As you tidied you came across a set of long forgotten car keys. The battered Chevette out front hadn't moved since your mom rear ended an elderly woman on 4th of July and lost her license. You peeked back in at your mom before looking to the door once again. Now or never. Quickly you snatched up the keys and scurried back into your room to pack a bag. You knew Rick would be back, you knew things wouldn't change, you knew they were only getting worse. Every logical part of your brain urged you to leave. But you still had to choke back the bitter taste of guilt that built in the back of your throat. Your hands shook with nerves as you zipped up the duffle and hauled it over your shoulder before darting across the hall to your mom's room.
You tiptoed over to Rick's side of the bed and opened the nightstand drawer. Inside was his Beretta along with a box of ammo and underneath was a porno mag with a girl, who was probably younger than you, stretched across the cover. You gagged and tried to pretend you didn't see that before fishing out the gun and bullets. You glanced anxiously over your shoulder, just anticipating the beating you'd get if you were caught. But no one was there. You slammed the drawer shut and shoved the gun in the waistline of your pants.
Ready as you would ever be, you stood 2 feet away from the front door. 2 feet away from freedom. You looked back at your mom and tried to remember what she was like before how she was now, before she became a shell of a person. But no memories came to the surface. It was almost like she'd always been this way. You snuck over to press a kiss to the top of her head anyway. "I'm sorry." Then, with all your courage, you dashed out the door and to the car.
You tossed your bag in the back and eyed the large crack her head had left in the windshield upon impact. You weren't sure if the car would even run after all this time but you settled in and jammed the key into the ignition anyway. You turned it and it sputtered before dying. "Come on!" You cranked it again and it sputtered once more but with some encouraging oomph. "Almost! You got it!" "Hey!" Rick's voice was like a whip that cracked though the dusk. Your head shot up and you saw him running for you full like the raging bull he was. You bolted up to slam the lock down on the passenger side door just as he grabbed at the handle. He slammed his fist on the window, making it rattle. "Get the fuck out of there!" He headed for the driver's side now but you slammed that lock down too. Your skin prockled and your breath caught in your throat as you turned the key once again. The engine turned over and the car rumbled to life. You weren't the religious type but you thanked God anyway. Rick pounded away at the window still screaming, red faced and eyes bulging out of his head, but you threw it in drive and floored it. The car hesitated for only a moment before shooting off, the back tire going over Rick's foot and leaving him crumpled on the ground. You laughed incredulously as you watched him from the rear view.
You drove for hours and hours, until the sun would soon start rearing its head again. You just wanted to put as much distance between you and them as possible. But now you were exhausted, the adrenaline wore off forever ago and your eyes struggled to stay open. You pulled up to a motel just as the sky was twinging with a hint of light. You rubbed your good eye and reached into your bag to pull out a wad of tip money you'd been saving up. You counted $576 and you reasoned with yourself that you could afford the luxury of a room tonight. You hadn't seen yourself but you knew you needed to get cleaned up.
You shuffed into the empty office and looked around before approaching the counter. A little hand written sign rested there beside a bell 'ring for service'. You tapped out a gentle ding and waited a few moments, but no one came. You tapped it again, a bit harder, and wondered if you should wait in your car for a more decent hour. Just as you were turning around to retreat the door burst open and a tall lean man practically threw himself inside. You reeled back in surprise and it seemed you caught him off guard too. He cleared his throat and straightened up, nodding to the counter. "Anyone here?" You tilted your head down, unable to meet his focused gaze. "I, uh, I don't think so. I was going to wait in my car." He hurried passed you and you jumped away from him. He kept looking at you as he slammed his hand down on the bell over and over again.
Eventually a young lady emerged from the back, yawning and rubbing her eyes of sleep. You felt bad she was woken up. "I need to rent one of your rooms miss." The woman seemed to need a minute to figure out what was being said, still groggy, but the man was impatient. He slammed some cash down on the counter. "I need to rent one of your rooms." He looked over his shoulder towards a window, anxious. "Yeah, I heard you," she yawned and stretched languidly before taking his cash. "Got one left." She grabbed the key and was about to hand it to him. "Wait!" Both their heads shot over to you, him because of the interruption and her because she'd just noticed you. As she took in your injuries she snatched the key back and eyed the annoyed man warily. You shook your head when you realized what she must be thinking. "No, no, just…" "Just what?" the man spat out, eyes still glancing over to the window. "I was here first! I need that room!" With no hesitation the young lady behind the counter shoved his money back at him and beckoned you over. "You got it." "I already paid," the man insisted. "Look at her!" The girl pointed at you, making you shrink back. Did you really look that bad? Your eyes shot over to a grimey mirror just behind the counter and through the dust you caught your reflection for the first time. Your eye had swollen up, blooming dark blue and purple around the socket. Your lower lip was busted open and blood crusted around the wound and down your chin. A bit of blood also clung around the edge of your nostril. You actually looked pathetic. So much so it made your stomach turn. It made you mad at yourself. Your eyes darted back to the man's and he gave a deep sigh.
Just as he was relenting the door opened again, this time a curvy woman with bleached hair scurried in. "Jess what is taking so long? We a need to get inside now," she hissed at him. "Well," he gestured to you, "she's got the last room." The new woman's eyes focused on you and all of this attention was really wearing on your nerves. Enough people had seen you like this. "Forget it." You brushed past everyone, the girl at the counter calling out for you, and ran back to your car. They could have the damn room.
You slammed the door shut and pressed your forehead to the steering wheel, trying not to cry. Maybe this was a sign that you'd made a mistake. That you should just turn tail, go home to take your beating, and beg for forgiveness. Your eye shifted to your hand and you saw the scar that was left there from last Christmas when your mom hand plunged a steak knife into it. No, going home wasn't an option. You cracked your windows and reclined the seat back, you'd get a bit of sleep if you could then keep driving. Just as you were closing your eyes there was a tap at your window and a muffled, "hey!" You opened them to look up and see the platinum woman standing by your car, fidgeting. You sat your seat back up and cranked the pane down lower. "Hey?" She swallowed and her eyes darted over to the beat up van they'd arrived in, you watched as other people piled out and into a room. "You wanna stay with us for the day?" You watched as the man from earlier looked back at her and she waved him off. "I, uh-" "Come on, honey. Day is too hot for you to sleep in this car. You'll roast. Besides you were nice enough to give up the room." You looked between her and the door. "Yeah, okay. Thank you."
When you entered the room behind Diamondback, as she'd introduced herself, all eyes turned to you. You paused but she pulled you further in and offered you a seat at a table, which you gladly took. The man approached and held out a hand to you, his fingers were long and crooked like the branches of a tree. You tried to shake firmly like you'd always been taught. "Jesse Hooker," he glanced back at Diamondback who fixed him with a firm look, "I apologize for earlier and thank you kindly for the room." You give him a soft smile and squeeze his hand before letting go. "No problem, I'm Y/n." Diamondback jumped in then. "Y/n, this is Homer," she pulled a sour looking young boy over to her side then gestured to a young couple, "that over there is Mae and Caleb." The pretty girl waved at you with a small smile and her boyfriend tipped his hat before taking it off completely. "And that's-" "Severen." A tall dark haired man interrupted her, coming to lean into your eye line. You turned your head to take him in. He was handsome with stubble peppered along his strong jaw, striking blue eyes, and lips that split his face in a large grin. You noticed how he had a small gap between his front teeth and decided it suited him well. "Hi." His grin grew impossibly wider. "Hey there." Diamondback gripped Severen by the back of his leather jacket and yanked him back into his chair. "Mind your manners, Sev." "I am!"
You excused yourself to get cleaned up and as you were tentatively wiping the dried blood from your split lip you could hear muffled conversation from the other side of the bathroom door. You wondered if they were talking about you but tried to push that thought down. You knew it was risky to spend the night in a motel with complete strangers. For all you knew they could be serial killers, or werewolves, or in a cult. You tried to ease down your frenzied brain with logic. They could be thinking the same of you right now, after all, you did look like you just crawled through hell. When you emerged they fell silent, confirming that they had indeed been talking about you. Diamondback came to you and gently brushed a thumb over your cheek, you flinched back and she quickly withdrew her hand. "Sorry. You look much better." "Feel a bit better," you nodded. She guided you back to the table you sat at before, where Jesse and Severen had started a game of poker.
"So, where ya from Y/n?" Caleb spoke up, drawing everyone's attention. "Outta town," you answered vaguely on purpose. You figured the less they knew about you the better. "Where ya headed?" He pressed on. "Farther outta town." Severen chuckled and looked at him from over his shoulder. "Keep yer questions to yourself boy." He turned to you now. "Don't mind officer brown nose over there, don't know how to mind his own damn business." "Don't you go callin' me no cop!" Caleb threw his boot at the back of Severen's head. He only snorted back at Caleb like a pig. A hand flew up to cover your mouth as you giggled at his antics. This only seemed to encourage Severen, who's eyes lit up at the sound, and he added in some very impressive pig calls. "Sooooowe! Soooooooowe!" You laughed a bit louder and the others joined in. Even Jesse, who seemed rather stern when you first met, chuckled. Severen turned back to you quickly. You could practically hear the gears turning in his head, searching for any way to keep you laughing. "That's just what he sounds like when he's sleepin'. I don't wanna know what it sounds like when him and Mae-" "Severen!" Diamondback scolded him again before he could finish his thought. "Don't get yourself in trouble now," you couldn't stop yourself from snickering. "I'm always in trouble, darlin'." He nodded to Jesse. "Deal her in Jess. You play poker don't ya?"
You did indeed play poker. Back before your mom met Rick and lost her job she had been a bartender. She'd sit you at a little table in the back of the bar with only a deck of cards to keep you company. One of the regulars, a rumor about town said he was your dad but you weren't sure, had taken to teaching you how to play. After a few months you would beat almost anyone who dared to challenge you. It was a nice memory and playing again made you feel warm inside. You found your smiles and laughter came easier to you than it had in years. You looked around at your new acquaintances and thought to yourself that they were like a whacky TV family. Traveling together and getting into fun misadventures. The way they barbed and teased each other lacked all of the venom and resentment you were used to from home. You weren't just at ease, Hell you felt safer in this room full of strangers than you ever did in that trailer. It was a nice feeling. Your eyes darted to the side and you caught the edge of a card poking out of Severen's sleeve. You snatched it quickly and tossed it to the center of the table. "Not very slick, cowboy." He looked at you, mouth agape but an amused twinkle in his blue eyes. Homer cackled at him. "Usually only Jesse catches him," Mae piped up. You pointed at him. "I'm keeping an eye on you." He smirked. "I hope ya do."
When you were all wound down and ready to get some sleep it wasn't terribly difficult to figure out the arrangements. The room was thankfully a double. Each of the couples took a bed, Homer claimed a stuffed chair on the corner, and Severen stayed in a chair by the door insisting you take the beat up couch. You tried to convince him it'd hurt his back but he said, "If I ain't worried about it why are you?" Those words stuck with you as you laid down to try and sleep. You must had been exhausted because the next time you opened your eyes it was because Severen was up and shuffling through his bag. You sat up and tried to rub your eye, forgetting how tender it was. You hissed and yanked your hand back. He looked up at you and spoke in a hush, "I wake ya?" "No, no worries," you whispered back. Your feet found the floor and you stretched your arms out. You could feel his gaze on you but he didn't say anything else. He finished pulling out fresh clothes before heading for the bathroom to shower and change. One by one the others also woke. But you didn't want to impose on them any longer, you grabbed your bag up and slung it over your shoulder. You reached your hand out to Diamondback with a smile. "Hey, thank you." She returned your smile and shook your hand. "Thank you too honey. Travel safe now." You almost didn't want to let go of her but you made yourself drop her hand. You nodded and waved goodbye to the others, just catching Severen as he left the bathroom, his hair still damp and only in his jeans. You averted your gaze and slipped out the door. As you closed it softly behind you you were sad to go.
You looked back up to the Chevette and you were startled to see 2 cops shining their flashlights inside. You gasped and ducked behind the van parked just out front, staying low to the ground. Rick must have reported the car and his gun as stolen. You just escaped one prison and you weren't about to go to another. Beside you the motel door opened and Severen stepped outside, still shirtless, with a cigarette hanging between his lips. He looked at you quizzically and opened his mouth to say something but you held a finger up to your own lips. His eyes darted from you over to the cops milling around your car then back to you. "Hey!" one of them called out to him. You flung yourself under the van.
From the gap you could see their feet as they approached Severen. "You see the girl driving that car?" You held your breath as you waited for him to answer, praying he wouldn't sell you out. You heard a small spark as he lit his cigarette and took a long drag. "Yeah I did." You flinched and buried your face in your hands waiting to be dragged out from under the van. So much for your great escape. A silence stretched on before the cop pressed him, "well where'd she go son?" You heard him shift. "That way, bummed a cigarette and asked for the bus station. Somethin' 'bout goin' east. Far east." You could have cried as relief flooded your whole body, making you sag into the asphalt under you. You didn't even realize how tense you were. You heard the officer get on his walkie and radio in. "Suspect heading to the bus station, planning to go eastbound. Thanks son." You watched their feet as they ran off and then there was a long silence. After a moment Severen's grinning face appeared in the gap under the van. "Hope ya weren't planning on going east." You took a deep breath. "I seriously thought you were about to throw me to the dogs." He scoffed at you. "Oh ye of little faith. Come on out now, they're gone." You crawled out from under the van and he took your hand to help you up. "You got yourself into a heap of trouble huh?" You glanced back over your shoulder. "Worth it." He glanced between you and your car. "Looks like you're out a ride. But you're in luck. I'm good at gettin' new ones. As long as you don't mind more trouble."
Severen led you nonchalantly onto the lot of the used car dealership. Your head whipped around nervously but he seemed so sure it made a bit of confidence bloom in your chest. You watched him kick the tire on a black Ford Bronco. "This'll do." He hurried to the driver's side and popped the lock with shocking ease. He slid inside and reached over, opening the passenger door for you. You both stayed low to the floor as he set to work. "Now watch and learn." He pulled some wires down from under the dash and produced a tool from his back pocket. "See this bundle of wires? You need these," he showed you 2 specific wires, "the ignition and the battery." He took them and stripped the ends. You couldn't tear yourself away from his hands as they worked, admiring them. "Ya wanna twist 'em together like this." The dash lights flickered on and he grinned at you. "Now take this starter wire here, and strip it lower so it's live. Then spark." He sparked the wires and the car roared to life. "That's it baby!" Severen then pulled a screwdriver from his pocket and jammed it into the ignition, turning the engine over. Just like that you were driving off the lot, pulling out right behind the van that carried the others. You didn't ask them why they were running and they didn't ask you. You did however turn to Severen with one question. "You guys aren't like a serial killer werewolf cult right?" He howled with laughter and shook his head. "Not quite, darlin'." You nodded. "Just checking."

8 stangie (I can't pick an au not sure)
8. Strangers alone on Valentine’s day
Right away, I decided to go Restaurant AU with this.  Hopefully you like that AU.  I love Angie helping Stan make his restaurant a success through her gumption and skilled cooking.
Prompt List
——————————————————————————————
“I still think it was a mistake to not be open later ‘n usual,” Angie said as she wiped down a table.  “If we stayed open until, say, midnight instead of the usual closin’ time of eight, we could’ve catered to couples lookin’ fer a place to have Valentine’s dinner.”
“Doubt it,” Stan grunted.  He squinted at the numbers in front of him.  Going over the receipts at the end of the day was his least favorite task, in part because it reminded him of how desperately he needed glasses.  “In case you haven’t noticed, this place isn’t that romantic.”  Angie propped a hand on one hip.  She had only worked for Stan for a few weeks, but he had already picked up on her body language.  He knew the pose meant she was about to argue.
“And whose fault is that?” Angie asked.  “It would be so easy to adjust the décor a bit fer one day.”
              “I’m not gonna do that.”
“I swear, sometimes, it feels like ya want this here restaurant to fail.”
“Stop trying to be a psychologist or whatever.  You already told me you’re in lizard school,” Stan said.  Angie rolled her eyes.
“I’m studyin’ herpetology, which is the science of reptiles and amphibians.”
              “Exactly.  Lizard school.”
“Lord,” Angie muttered.  She sighed. “Well, Valentine’s has passed, but maybe we can try to do somethin’ special fer upcomin’ holidays.”
              “Hmm.  Do you have ideas?”
“Not at the moment, but I’m sure I can come up with a few,” Angie said. She finished wiping down the tables and walked over to the booth Stan was sitting in.  “The place is all cleaned up.  Are you done with the receipts?”
              “No.”
              “Have you eaten yet?”
              “Have you?” Stan shot back.
“I’ll take that as a no.”  Without another word, Angie left the dining area.  Faint clattering sounded from the kitchen.
I thought she cleaned the kitchen already.  Eh.  Must’ve been wrong.
-----
Finally, Stan finished the receipts.  He pushed everything in front of him away with a sigh of relief.  Promptly, a plate of pasta with a side of broccoli was placed in front of him.
“Where’d this come from?” he asked out loud.
“Prob’ly from the person what made it fer ya,” Angie said, sliding into the seat across from him with her own plate.
“You were cooking in the kitchen?”
              “That’s what it’s for.”
“No, I-”  Stan glared at Angie, who merely snickered softly.  “I thought you were cleaning it.”
“I cleaned it ‘fore I cleaned the dining area.”
“But you cooked in it again.”
“It took me like five minutes to clean up after I made this, relax,” Angie said, rolling her eyes.  “I figured it might be nice to have dinner together ‘fore we part ways fer the night.”
“What, like a date?” Stan asked.  Angie scowled at him.
“No, like an employee who has realized her boss don’t take care of himself and wants to make sure he eats a vegetable fer once.”
“All right, all right,” Stan said, holding his hands up in defeat.  “You’re lucky you work for a boss that doesn’t mind talkback.”
“Oh, if I worked fer a boss what wanted me to be professional, I’d do that,” Angie said dismissively.  She twirled a sauce-covered noodle around her fork.  “I know how to be polite.  I just also know that politeness don’t get ya far with some folks.  Including you.”
“Hey, I like people who are polite.”
“Sure.  Ya like to walk over ‘em,” Angie retorted.  Stan opened his mouth.  “Eat up ‘fore it gets cold.”
“Don’t need to tell me twice,” Stan said, eagerly spearing a piece of broccoli.  While they ate, Stan remembered the suggestion Angie’d had earlier.  “Say, uh, the thing you said before about doing special stuff for holidays…”
              “What about it?” Angie asked.
“It’s not a half-bad idea.”  Angie’s face lit up.  “I don’t really keep track of those sorts of things, though, so I don’t know what all is coming up.”
“I think the closest holiday what establishments tend to do stuff fer is St. Patrick’s Day.”
“St. Paddy’s Day, huh?” Stan said thoughtfully.  He nodded slowly.  “Sounds good to me.  Maybe do some deal on beers or make up some green cocktails.  I mean, the day’s basically just an excuse to get wasted and wear green.”  Angie scowled.  “What?”
“I don’t really like what’s been done to St. Patrick’s Day in the US,” Angie mumbled, pushing her food around her plate with a fork.  Stan raised an eyebrow.  “Y’know my last name is McGucket, right?”
              “You’re Irish?”
“Well, Irish-American.  My great-grandparents came over from Ireland and settled in Arkansas.  Pa made sure to instill in all of his kids a great respect fer our heritage.  There was a small church a couple towns over what did services in Gaelic on St. Paddy’s Day, so we’d go there fer mass.  The day celebrates Saint Patrick, who, according to legend, banished all the snakes from Ireland.”
“Wait, why would you like the holiday if you’re at reptile school and this guy got rid of snakes?” Stan asked.
“He did other things.  That’s just one of the things he’s well known fer.  I’m tryin’ to explain the holiday’s origins.”
“So, St. Patrick’s Day wasn’t made just to get wasted?” Stan asked. Angie frowned at him.
“Is any holiday?” she asked.  Stan thought for a second.
              “Oktoberfest.”
“You weren’t that great at history in school, were ya?”
“Nope!” Stan said cheerfully.  He looked down at his food.  “If it offends you that much, we won’t do stuff for St. Paddy’s Day.  No skin off my nose to not do extra work.”
“No, it’s not-”  Angie sighed. “We can do somethin’ fun fer St. Paddy’s Day.  But maybe not focus on the alcohol aspect so much?”
“What do you want to focus on, then?”
“Well, this is a restaurant,” Angie pointed out.  “I could whip up some traditional Irish recipes ‘n adapt ‘em to suit an American palate.”  She grinned. “Heck, I could have ya be a taste tester.”
“I do like to eat,” Stan said dryly.  Angie giggled.  Stan felt his cheeks redden.
Shit.  That was…cute.  No, Stan, she’s your employee.  And she would be pissed as hell if her boss even seemed like he was gonna make a move on her.
“We can get green decorations, maybe make mint milkshakes.”
              “Like McDonald’s does?” Stan asked.
“Yes.  But better.” Angie winked.  “‘Cause I’ll be makin’ ‘em.”  Stan chuckled.  Angie ducked her head, poorly hiding a faint blush.
“Sounds good, Ang.  We can make more plans tomorrow.”  Angie nodded. “But you should probably head home. It’s getting pretty late.”
“Yeah.”  Angie got up. She reached for her plate.
“No, I’ll clean it up,” Stan said.
“Don’t you have to go home?”
“You already did almost all the cleaning,” Stan replied.  Angie frowned at him.  For a moment, Stan worried she had noticed he was dodging the question.
“Who are ya and what have ya done with my boss?” she asked, dispelling Stan’s concerns.  “The Stanley Pines I know don’t clean if he can get away with it.”  Stan shrugged and stood up.
“Maybe you just don’t know me that well,” he retorted.  Angie rolled her eyes.  “See you tomorrow morning, McGucket.”  Angie grabbed her purse.
“See you tomorrow,” she said.  She left the restaurant, the bell on the door jingling as she walked out. Stan picked up the two dirty plates, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
Not too shabby for a Valentine’s Day dinner.  Definitely better than the last five or so.

will this be a legit tumblr fic series? no, absolutely not I just felt like writing something. Everything else will be bullet points since I can knock out like, two to three seasons in one go.
Shannon (Shan) Maywether.
Oc introduction P1
This takes place in between season 1 episodes 10 and 11 in like a mini sode I like to call "Eye of Unfairness" its a play off the fact Shan means unfortunate and unfair in Scottish (something I recently learned)
Also feel free to change out Shannon's/Shans name for your OC if you want to! I don't mind! Keep in mind this fic was made with Shannon's personality and physical condition in mind. I also wouldn't mind feed back!
Third person POV
A day had passed since the reveal of the green ninja. It was a surprise to learn that Lloyd, a kid, was the supposed chosen one. It was shock to, well everyone on board the Bounty.
It was Wednesday, so Shannon was tasked with cooking for the day. She stood, cutting vegetables for the side dish she was wiping up alongside the English breakfast she had made. Her mind was filled with ‘what if's’. As an older sister to 10 younger brothers, 4 of which that happen to be around Lloyd’s age it was startling for her. There was no telling when the 'Final Battle' will take place and what would happen during it, took the focus from the sharp edge of the blade she was holding.
"ow, damn it-" dropping the knife on the cutting board as she cursed. Bringing the cut wound to her lips she sucked on it as she searched for the bandages they kept in the kitchen just incase if kind of thing happened.
After finding bandages and bandaging the cut Shannon finished fixing up the salad. Just as she set the freshly tossed salad on the table the other residents of the ship walked in.
"Morning Shannon" "Mornin' Zane"
The other ninja mumbled a good morning as well as they took their set's at the table and began eating the breakfast prepared.
"Hay Shannon what happened to your hand?" Lloyd asked looking at the older girls hand.
"Oh, accidently cut myself." She replied placing her coffee cup down looking over at the small blonde. She ruffled his hair earning a ‘stop it’ from the boy, and chuckled at how messy his hair was now.
The rest of breakfast went without much problem seeing as how everyone was still riding down from the adrenaline that was yesterday. It all seemed peaceful still Garmadon walked in.
Shannon's POV
Garm walked in, late as usual. And as usual we where all kinda put off with what he was eating. Dark matter grubs I think there called? Never payed much attention to this sorta thing really. I just can't get the truth we uncovered yesterday. Lloyd being the green ninja. Its going to hard for him I can tell.
Letting out an tried sigh I got up with my now empty plate and made my way over to the sink.
"Shannon, the Bounty is landing in a bit. You wanna come run groceries with me?" Nya asked as I passed her.
"Uhh, sure just tell me when you're planning on leaving." "You got it!"
____
Third person POV
As stated by Nya the Bounty had landed not long after they finished washing the dishes. The boys were outside training. Shannon seated cross-legged on the steps just watching with Wu. Garmadon had disappeared back into the ship, probably his room for the time being. Lloyd was hanging around the place too, inside reading. And Nya was getting ready to head out.
It wouldn't be for another 10 minutes till Garmadon emerged from where ever he was.
And unfortunately for everyone he was at the steps of the ship leading to where the ninja were training, and felt like causing some chaos.
Now it's not the man's fault, he has the venom of an equally evil snake brooding in his veins.
He knew he couldn't mess with the ninja, it was like a principle thing seeing as how they where tolerating his presence on the ship. Wu literally came to what might have been hell to most folks and brought him back to Ninjago to save his son. Nyas off limits, and as much as he wants to, his son, Lloyd is probably still shaken from not just the green ninja thing, but the snakes as well.
Which left Shannon.
The young lady had made it clear since there first interaction, that she held nothing against the dark lord. In fact she even played along with his bullshit if she felt like it. Best part, she can hold her own too. She may not train with the boys often but she knows spinjitzu, and has proven to be a good fighter, Shans just lax and a go with the flow kind of person.
With that in mind, he decided to make a comment.
"Not going to change?"
"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Shannon questioned, she didn't bother to look at him, as she took a swig from her tea that Wu had generously offered.
"With the amount of purple you wear you might get mistaken for a snake"
"Phff, at least I don't look like a took a bath in tar"
With that, a swift yet not powerful smack to the back of the teens head was earned. It was supposed to be playful, harmless but as the force of the hit passed through the youngers head, the sound of heavy glass hitting wood made itself known. This caused the boys to stop and turn there attention back over to the steps on the deck. As Shannon looked up, it became evidently clear she was missing her right eye.
Panic ensues.
Jay, Cole, Kai, and Zane screamed at the fact there friends eye was now just gone. Garmadons just standing there questioning if he put more power than he initially thought he did. Wu went wide eyes as he stared at the girl next to him, seeing small streams of blood leak out the now empty eye socket. Lloyd and Nya came running out to only to scream themselves.
With a sigh Shannon picked up her Eye and monical that had fallen.
"Guys, chill out!" She yelled.
"CHILL OUT! SHAN YOU EYE FEEL OUT OF YOUR HEAD" the Blue ninja yelled. Pointing at the eye in the Burnetts hand.
"Its a glass eye bolts for brain's" Shan retorted.
"Glass eye?" Cole repeated.
"Yes, a glass eye! Why did you think I wore a monocle instead of regular glasses? Sure I can't see jack with my right eye but it acts as a shield of sorts!"
Tumblr media
"I-im so sorry, are you okay Shannon?" Garmadon asked.
"Ya, im fine" she answered.
____
After that everyone had gone inside. Zane grabbed the medical kit to disinfect and put a temporary patch over Shannon's eye. Garmadon had taken the glass eye and with the recommended disinfectant Shannon just so happen to have on her, put the bloody thing in a black glass cup filled with warm water and the disinfectant liquid mixture, to clean it. He may be the bad guy, but he's never really hurt anyone to the point they lose something like an eye.
Once done he gave the glass to Shannon who was now sitting in the armchair.
"So, umm how'd you uh- you know lose you eye?" Kai asked weirly, he feared there might be some sort of trauma along with it and didn't want to trigger it.
"You don't have to tell us!" Nya quickly added.
"Na its fine" Shannon said as she waved off there concerns.
"I was about seven when it happened. Home invasion. The guy had a gun. I had heard sound from downstairs and curiosity got the best of me. I think your all smart enough to piece together what happened next" she said. Everyone kinda relied back at the mear mental image.
"Yikes" Jay, shivered at the thought of it.
"I mean it’s not all that bad I guess. Altho I didn't have a say in whether or not I got a fake eye"
"What do you mean you didn't get a say in it?"
"It’s exactly as I say it is. When I woke up my depth perception was crap, but I had both my eyes. It wasn't until the doctor told me my parents were admit about me having one"
"So are, you like going to be ok or?"
"I'll be fine green bean, if anything this was a good thing, means I need a new one. Thankfully I shot my brother text about one lot long ago." Shannon said dismissively
"Brother?" Wu questioned.
"Okay, Nya you ready to got out?"
"Ya but it can wait-" "I'm good, I swear Nya lets go" the older girl instead as she got up and dragged Nya out the ship for their planned outing. (She put the glass with the eye in the table as they left)
"Well that was, concerning" Cole said as the two girls disappeared.
____
It was around midday the girls were not back yet. Jay was still unnerved by the eye in the cup being in such an open area, moved it over to the kitchen counter. Training was cut short because of the incident. Wu taking into account not just the mental impact of one of his charges eyes popping up in front of them, but the buildup of stuff they'd been having to deal with since his absence. Besides when the girls get back they all need to talk of a plan to get the Fang Blades back from the Serpentine before they can awaken the Devourer.
Wu and his brother where out front on the deck talking, it felt like forever to the two of them since they last spoke in such good terms. The guys (pluss Lloyd) where inside playing video games as a pass time. It wasn't long after when the sound of a car, a taxi, could be heard coming there way. As the taxi came to a stop the guys had logged off there game and stepped out to grate the return of the only two females on their team.
But instead of the raven and green tipped brunette haired, a blond tipped brunette boy stepped out the vehicle (not before paying of course) and made his way over to the Bounty.
“umm, dumb question since there aren't many flying ships around, but is this the Destiny's Bounty?” The Boy asked as he neared the ship. upon closer inspection the boy was wearing a leather jacket with a white under shirt, and jeans with a pair of black converse. He had a mailman bag slung over his shoulder.
“ya it is, what bring you all the way out here though?” Cole answered as he crossed his arms. attempting to look menacing which seemed to be working.
“uh, I came to drop something off for my sister, Shannon?” The boy answered.
“Shannon, as in the monocle waring Shan?” Jay asked
“yes! that one!”
“Cool, Cool... wanna climb on board?” Kai asked him.
“Would I!” The boy, Shannon’s brother made is way up on the Bounty.
“By the way, what you name” Zane asked as the brunet dorded.
“Shane, Shane Maywather and might I say it’s a pleasure to meet the guys my sister has been staying with after all this time.” He, Shane replied.
____
“wait, so let me get this straight” Cole stood with his hands on his head, clearly confused by what was said.
Its been about an hour since Shane was let on borde and the guy could see why his sister liked it here so much.
“there are 10 of you? including Shane makes 11″ Cole sated. Shane just nodded as he let the earth ninja racape what Shane had told them. Wu and Garmadon where in the kitchen intently listening to the conversation they were having.
“yup, Shan and I are the oldest, there where are the quads; Jason, Mayson, Tyson, Carson.” He started again listing his younger siblings.
“Then the triplets; Asher, Carter and Xavier. Then the last set of twins; Franklyn and Merlyn” Shane finished.
“No wonder Shannon can deal with us so well” Jay said looking astonished.
“ya she had to deal with 9 younger brothers and one older one” Kai remarked. Shane snickered before correcting him.
“Shannon is the oldest, in fact despite us being twins, she’s technically a year older than me.”
“But isn't being twins, like two people being born on the same day?” Zane inquired.
“True, but you see, my mom had Shannon on december 31st 1995, at around 11:55pm, I then happened on january 1st 1996 at 00:02am in the morning” Shane explained.
“dude” Jay commented. Shane laghed.
“yup,Shannons the ‘big sister’ of the house” He said glancing about.
“i'm surprised though, i though Shannon would have at least mentioned something about you guys to us” Lloyd pipped in. He enjoyed Shannons company she made him feel welcome. And when she caught him setting up the prank for Kai as his uncle had asked him to, she gave him some pointers on how to eviscerate Kai’s high score. Even took some pressure off him as she stayed in the room in anticipation for the fire ninja so they wouldn't get too suspicious. To learn Shan had several younger brothers, like Jay commented, meade scene in how she was not only dealt with them but was able to deal with his father so well.
“Honestly,it's do be expected. Because Shannons the oldest our parents are hard on her... We come from a fairly well of family to the point where money is more or less a play thing to our folks” Shane started, the ninja(pluss Loyd)went wide eyed.
“so you're saying you guys are rich?” Jay asked dumbfounded. Shane fidgeted with his fingers.
“Y-Ya pretty much. But Shannon, and our parents, they... They don't get along at all. For all i can remember, the only time i've ever had with Shan was when she wasn't in any of her classes or extracurriculars. They pushed her to be perfect, and at the same time pushed her away. Looking back there where countless arguments over a lot of what they where doing” Shane said looking down at his lap.
“There was this one argument that just hit the nail in the head though, a couple years back, it was during dinner and our parents had invited a business associates family over. They had a son, about three years older then Shannon and I. Our parents had announced that he would be Shannons fiance and thighs went downhill fast” Looking up once more Shane let a had run though his hair as he relieved the memory. The guys were taken aback by this, seeing as how Shan was arguably one of the most level headed people they knew.
“sounds stressful” Kai quipped not really knowing how to respond to that, bur as a brother to a sister himself he could understand the feeling of not wanting your sibling to do be forced into doing something they don't want to.
“You don’t half of it” Shan said with a sigh.
“After that, she stormed out never to be seen scene again. At least physically, she managed to keep contact with me, we talk but not as much as either of us would like...” He finished leaning back and letting the surprisingly soft couch engulf him.
“I’m glad though, she deserves a break after everything” Shane commented.
“ya well if you call fighting an army of skeletons, snakes and eventually Garmadon a brake, then you my friend are in need of a vacation as well” Jay replied plopping down next to Shane with a dorky grin. The tenshin that had been building in Shane dissipated, yup he could really see why his sister liked it here so much.
____
Dropping the topic of who much his and Shannon's parents where that talked about other random things. It was a little bit later when the girl got back.  The two where catting about, something girl related when they walked into the main room of the Bounty.
“Hey! Welcome back! And guess how came to visit?!” Jay sang, gesturing to Shane who was seated next to him. Shannon looked over at her bother in shock she thought-
"Good to see you again Sister!~" Shane said as be bolted form where he was sitting to envelope Shannon in a hug. As he did Shannon dropped the bags she was holding, seemingly shocked that her blood brother was here.
“Shane?” She breathed, then hugged him back, leaning into it.
After a bit the two separated.
“It’s good to see you again Shane! How have you been?” “Good, good, what about you? what happened to your eye? Where is it?”
Shan laughed a little and shook her head.
“There was an accident this morning, Garmadon hit the back of my head and it just popped out” Shane stood still. Taking in the information. Once complete he turned and tried to lunged to where Garmadon was, if it wasn't for Shannon having grabbed him in that split second. He probably would have gone into a full on fist fight with the dark lord.
“Lemme go! I'm going to eviscerate him!” Shane hissed struggling against his sisters grip. Thank the First Spinjitzu Master that Shannon trained with the boys ocashinaly.
“Calm down little brother it was an accident” “Like HELL”
The two go back and forth a little more till Shane camls down. Garmadon rightfully spooked at the fact that this, well mannered, e-boy looking, kid was threatened to ‘eviscerate’ him.
“Fine, I won’t attack him, doesn't mean I won’t like it” Shane said mutting that last bit.
“Seriously (1)Balach Milis, if you applied this anger properly, you wouldn't have to deal with what Eric and Lizzibeth right?” Shannon said as she let him go. picking up the grocery bags, and placed them on the counter.
“(2)Flùr Gaoithe, you know when it comes to Mama and (3)Athair I can’t do do that!” He complained like a small child.
“You really need to grow a backbone” Shane said shaking her head.
___
Things had settled down since then.
“It’s getting late, I should get going, I have band practice tomorrow and need the rest.” “boo, skip and just stay here for the week” “Flùr Gaoithe” “Balach Milis“
With that The younger twin got up, gave his sister the new glass eye she had asked for, said his goodbyes, shot Garmadon one last glar, and left.
“Your brother seems like a nice person” Gramadon said looking over the the greet tipped girl.
“Ya, he’s awesome. Wish he was less of a pushover tho”
Jay feeling thirsty, walked over into the kitchen. He spotted the black glass cup, completely having forgot about the eye inside it. Now you can't really see anything at the bottom. And Jay, in his infinite wisdom, thinking it was just some random cup of random water that had been left on the kitchen counter, and drank from it.
“OH GOD”
“Did Jay drink from the eye glass?” Lloyd asked his uncle who was watching from the blue ninja form the table.
“He drank from the eye glass” Wu confirmed. The others erupted into a fit of laughter and giggles.
__________
 (1)Balach Milis - Sweet boy
(2)Flùr Gaoithe - Wind flower
(3)Athair - dad
this was translated using google translate, the language being Scottish Gaelic. I know Ninjago was based off of asian culture. But like I said, Shan it scottish for unfortunate and unfair. Also nothing in the lore of the show explicitly states that Ninjago is the only continent on the planet.
I HC that there are different parts of the world. its safe to say Ninjago is the main land where a lot of the exciting things happen, but across who knows how long away there are different countries. And Shannon’s family like immigrated to Ninjago, during it’s early years where big contributors and financial support, in building the city.
but ye this is a mini sode, i came up with. criticism is always welcome! I will be doing bullet notes for Shan and Melody, and maye Gold to since i have an active fic about her that i haven't updated in, forever but yaaaaa.
till next text post i guess lol
