If it’s alright to do x reader, can you write about having a romantic relationship with the flags? I rlly liked your hcs so I thought to make a flags request ! Here’s some questions to help you out

-Can they cook? - Are they affectionate? -Cuddling, big spoon or little spoon? -Are they good at comforting you?

Pianoman:

he’s always busy, but strangely enough, whenever you ask, he’s always free

for some reason, whenever you’re in the room you’re like… the only thing on his mind and he forgets whatever he was doing before

I can see pianoman being a huge sweetheart for some reason

like… He’s the leader of the Flags, but at the same time he kind of acts like a care-taker a little bit

he just cares very deeply for his comrades and you, of course

his love languages are quality time and acts of service, but he likes to receive physical touch

this man is touch starved, so please give him a little hug when he’s stressing over deadlines and being hard on himself (since he’s a perfectionist)

speaking of physical touch: he LOVES back hugs, receiving them and giving them

he’ll be looking over at some copies of fake notes that he was working on with a frown on his face and -oh- there’s his sweet little bug squeezing him so much that he completely forgot what he was doing (he doesn’t care though, he loves you)

he’s only really affectionate when you both have a moment alone, but he won’t complain if you want a kiss or for him to hug you for a moment

when you two are alone though, he likes to give you surprise kisses or hugs; tends to be really clingy sometimes depending on how tired he is, but if you want space, he’ll listen to you

I feel like sometimes though, if he does initiate PDA, he likes to tease you: if you’re sitting on his lap, he’ll put a hand on your thigh, but then it’ll slowly trail up a little bit higher when he thinks your not paying attention, if he puts his head on your shoulder while you’re talking to someone, he might leave butterfly kisses on the side of your neck

he likes to tease you for sure, and isn’t satisfied until your a tomato…

nicknames for him… I think he’d use nicknames that are a little dorky because he likes to embarrass you, saying: “love bug” or “hot stuff” or “steady” (really old ass, from the 50’s nicknames)

“ You know, (Y/N) likes to call me studmuffin,” he brags to Chuuya, nudging the poor boy on the elbow.

“ Please leave me alone.”

but when he’s feeling a little romantic, he’ll call you “honey”

he’s definitely good at comforting you, considering that he literally drops everything just to pay attention to you

will study every detail on your facial expression the moment that you walk in the room, but if you’re in a bad mood he won’t push you

gives you a back hug and a small kiss on the side of your head and asks if you’re ok and if you want anything

listens if you want to vent, or will leave you alone if you want. Anything you need? He’s there to take care of you.

just want to cry and lay down for a bit, that’s fine with him. He’s not the best singer, but he tries to hum to you

can he cook? He can, but I can also see him just preferring to order take out

at the end of the day, he tends to just be really tired, so cuddling up on the couch with you and some take out is enough for him (if you cook, even better, but he might want to help because he feels bad)

he’s a big spoon

when I saw that question I was like: How does this man sleep? In my brain, he’s a side sleeper, and he’d prefer to be the big spoon

when he’s drifting off to sleep, he likes to whisper sweet nothings to you

though, does he sleep? No not really, you have to drag him way from his desk and if he doesn’t budge just kiss him on the forehead and tell him to join you (he’ll end up joining you like 5 minutes later)

in conclusion, sweet bf, but also busy and tired (please give him forehead kisses)

Lippman:

Lippman is romantic as fuck

like you cannot tell me he’s got the rizz, Doc literally said he has a silver tongue (what else that tongue do *cough*)

he’s always holding your hand in his

his hands are very warm and gentle, and when he holds yours, he’s holding it very gingerly, not tugging too hard and only squeezing your hand to comfort you

love languages are gift giving and physical touch, he loves receiving words of affirmation

being an actor with may fans abroad, he hears a lot of praise from others, but none of their words mattered nearly as much as yours do

like you could just be complimenting him on how he styled his hair one day, and it’s like… the only thing he’s talking/thinking about

early on in your relationship together, he was quite shy actually: didn’t really initiate affection because sitting next to you made him feel nervous, but one day you grasped for him hand and now he just never let go

like I’m telling you, if you two are at home, he will not let go of your hand (even when he’s cooking)

speaking of cooking, he’s an amazing cook, but he’s also (similar to pianoman) busy as hell

he often likes to cook with you, enjoying your presence and closeness as you both work together to make a nice meal

he’s fine with PDA, but only if it’s PG… like he gets shy kissing you on the lips in public, but he’ll hold your hand (because he loves your hands :) )

if you initiate PDA, he won’t complain though

he’s far too shy to tell you no, and he also enjoys making you happy

seeing you happy makes him happy

nicknames for you are old romantic, but not in a dorky way. He likes to use nicknames in a different language sometimes: “mon cherié”, “cariño”

he also definitely uses “darling” and if he’s in a more excited mood, he calls you “sunshine” or “my flower”

“ There’s my pretty sunshine!,” he’d smile, as you’d run up to him and give him a hug.

I can see him being very strict about his sleep schedule

he cringes at the thought of himself having wrinkles because he slept the wrong way, so he tries to go to bed at a certain time and wakes up at a certain time (mafia orders and job stuff are an exclusion though)

sometimes he goes to sleep earlier than you do, but he doesn’t mind if you interrupt him to crawl under his arms

for him, he definitely prefers to face you his sleep: he can see you face when he wakes up and nothing will make him happier

if he’s really tired though, he might like burying his head in your chest as your massaging his head with your hands

he’ll let out a soft groan before falling right to sleep

he doesn’t mind holding you either though: you being the little spoon or resting your head on his chest

likes to kiss your eyelids before he goes to bed ;;-;;

soft romantic bf, can be shy, but he tries this best to make you happy

doesn’t care just as long as there’s a smile on your face

Iceman:

Iceman is very much a lone wolf, but with you it’s “I literally hate everyone else, but I will give the world to you”

he can and will kill for you, rest assured you are very protective

though despite his rough exterior, he’s a kind man

honestly, he doesn’t really care so much for PDA, but he gladly accepts any form of affection you give him

he’s most likely not the one that initiated it, but the only time’s he does is if he’s talking with the others: he often gestures for you to come over to sit on his lap (and you do so, because who would say no-)

or if he doesn’t initiate PDA, it’s usually out of jealousy or to show people that your his

like let’s say you’re talking with someone for a bit too long, he’s probably going to slide a hand on your waist and giving you a soft kiss on the cheek, telling you that you both have to leave (you got no where to go, he’s just wants you attention instead-)

this man has the best kisses, like if anything those are what make your heart flutter the most

it doesn’t matter what kind of kiss he gives you: one of the cheek, a short peck, etc, it still makes you feel somewhat flustered and a tomato (which he grins at)

he doesn’t seem like the type, but he likes to tease you in more of a subtle way.

You were putting on a pair of pants and adjusting them at your hips: zipping up the front zipper and button. You then reached over to the side to find a belt, only to realize that it wasn’t there. Suddenly, hands slipped around your waist and you realized that Iceman was doing you belt for you.

“ These pants compliment your waist quite well,” he whispered gently into your ear. It almost sounded like a bit of a growl. You felt your chest flutter as you let him do his thing. Though before anything else happened, he buckled your belt together and slipped his hands away, walking away as if nothing happened.

nicknames for you are simple. He doesn’t want to do anything more ambitious and he feels proud that he can call you simple nicknames: “love” and “babe” or “baby”

those nicknames make you feel flustered either way… so I mean

He notices you trying to reach something that was on the top shelf, but stops you. Getting you off the counter, and reaching for it himself,” Let me help you, Love.”

he LOVES YOUR WAIST: he’s always touching it

sometimes he’ll place a gentle hand on the side of your waist while passing you, he’ll take any chance he can to pick you up by the waist (and sit you down on the kitchen counter *cough*), slow dancing with his hands resting just a top your hips while you both listen to his old records

he’s just… always touching ur waist all the time

likes to do a lot of the heavy work for you like if you’re moving something large, or carrying bags

he only does it because he knows you’re entirely capable, he just doesn’t want you to ever lift a finger if he’s around

love languages are physical touch and acts of service

he’s a sweet comforter, but he most likely doesn’t say much

he’s always listening and he’ll do whatever you ask of him, but he just prefers actions over words

will hold you until you fall asleep if you were crying, he wipes your tears too :(

Doc:

I feel like in a romantic relationship to him, there are very few moments where it seems romantic to the public eye

though in between you two, I can see it being very shy love

he tends not to initiate much affection, but you can quite literally see it in his eyes that he’s begging

at first, it seemed rather creepy and you thought he didn’t like you all that much, but in reality he was just silently asking for your attention

Doc is the kind of person that stands… really really close to you, so much that you’re a little bit uncomfortable and when you turn around and look at him, he smiles

he doesn’t initiate PDA at first, allowing you to show affection

he loves receiving head pats from you, it makes him feel proud of himself

though, when he started getting comfortable between the two of you, he likes to lay on you

like I’m talking… laying on your thighs, head on your shoulder, he likes to lean on you

since he’s rather sickly, he tends to be really cold quite often, so to him, you’re his personal heater

isn’t one to kiss you on the lips unless he’s feeling really passionate: a kiss on the cheek or on the forehead is enough for him

but if you are in pain, he’ll be holding onto you gently as he’s trying to patch you up

can he cook? Nope, and he doesn’t really try to either

because he’s a doctor, he tends to be busy and doesn’t really have much time to take care of himself

so either his subordinates deliver food to him, or you deliver him food (which he’s very grateful for)

I can see him being the kind of person who sleeps on his back, or on you… like from earlier

he’ll very easily fall asleep on your lap if you hand is touching his hair, but to be honest he’ll sleep anywhere

this man does not sleep, so if you offer your shoulder for him to lean on, he’ll most likely knock out

he takes naps anywhere… sleeps anywhere, so it’s quite hard to get him to sleep in a bed

anyways, if you’d like to sleep next to him, he usually lifts his arms so that you can nuzzle into his side as he lies on his back

if you’re too scared to be near him though, he might just hold your hand as you both fall asleep next to each other

he likes watching you sleep though, so sometimes he’ll just prop himself up on a pillow with a book while holding your hand in his other

in conclusion: he’s a quiet and sweet lover

Albatross:

PUPPY LOVE PUPPY LOVE PUPPY LOVE

he quite literally follows you every where

you’re going to the store? Ok, he wants to take you for a ride on his motorcycle. You’re going to go get some coffee at that cafe downstairs? He’s already throwing on his jacket. You’re just getting up to go get another snack? Well, he’s not going to let you leave his arms, so up he goes with you.

he’s always hugging you, doesn’t matter what you’re both doing

greets you with a hug, says goodbye with a hug, will just… hug you if you’re standing within proximity of him

I can also see Albatross taking his little furry jacket vest thing and putting it on you, as well as his sunglasses

no, you cannot argue with him, he’s going to do it anyways if you’re both having a casual moment together

as you can see from just now, he LOVES PDA

he loves to receive it, loves to give it

he’s always holding your hand, or waist, or has his head on your shoulder or on top of your head if you’re standing in front of him, is always hugging you

once again, no you cannot argue with him, he will probably cry, you haven’t tried to argue with him though… but you have a feeling that he would cry

sometimes you tend to forget that he’s behind you, and someone will end up pointing it out (usually Chuuya… the other Flags are used to it)

he lets you braid his rat tail and doesn’t take it out until you do, and you only take it out if you want to redo it

love languages are physical touch and quality time, he loves to receive physical touch back (please hug and kiss him, he enjoy it even if it’s a small thing)

can and will take you out for his midnight drives and shenanigans

once dragged you out of bed so that you could both go to the beach and run into the water (you were both still in your night wear, but seeing him laughing and smiling made you happy too)

he likes driving a lot faster than normal just so that you can cling onto him, his makes butterflies go absolutely HAM in his stomach

nicknames for you are cutesy, he doesn’t really like traditional nicknames and sometimes they remind him of Lippman and it makes him cringe

he likes to call you “Dumpling” or “Marshmallow”… maybe he’s just hungry, I don’t know

“ Dumplin’, can you pass me the wrench that’s in that toolbox next to you over there?”

speaking of wrenches, he feels happy whenever you visit him at his garage

you can just sit there and listen to him talk for hours on end while he fixes things up

he leaves his toolbox next to you on purpose just so that you can hand it to him

I can imagine that if you hand him a tool and he’s laying on his back under a car on one of those rolley cart things

instead of reaching out for it with his hand, he’ll quickly roll up and take it from you, but not before swiping his stained hand on your cheek and giving you a quick kiss

he’s just silly… and he likes to give you little form of affection

DO NOT LET THIS MAN COOK OH MY GOD

he may be great at cars and boats and planes, but do not let him cook

he will somehow find a way to burn the kitchen by just touching the pan with the stove off

though despite being a shitty cooker, he’s a big foodie

he loves to eat literally everything and tries new things because he heard a review

if you bring him to a new restaurant, he’ll be taking photos of his food and be reviewing it as he eats it

I can see him sleeping sprawled out on the bed, if you join him, he’ll unconsciously cling onto you like a magnet

he’s a pretty deep sleeper, but he’s always looking for you in his sleep

if you leave, he’ll whine and try to look for you even if with his eyes closed

in conclusion: he’s very much in his puppy love era, and his face is always red when he’s talking to you… he’s a blushy boy around you

Chuuya:

he’s very much a tsun, so it might be quite hard for him to get close to you, or even show affection

though, just know that despite how much he acts like he doesn’t like your affection, he recretly loves it

he fell first and harder mind you

he treats you like literal royalty behind closed doors though

Chuuya’s not really one for PDA, and he’s not going to initiate it under any circumstance

the only reason is because he has a tendency to want to continue to show his rough exterior out in public

he can get kind of awkward if you initiate it, but will relax into it after a while

though, when he greets you in public he’s a gentlemen: he’ll even kiss your hand and lead you places by the hand sometimes

though that’s about it

behind doors though, he’s… so clingy

bike the moment that you close the door, he already has his arms around your waist

if he kisses you anywhere, it’s on your neck, and he does it in the most dramatic way possible

he’ll take one of your hands in his as he’s behind you and he’ll let out a short breathe on your neck before kissing gently

don’t get him wrong though, he still loves to kiss your lips

if anything, he’s addicted to your taste

anyways, he likes to help around the house when he can: if you made dinner, he’s doing the dishes. Even if he made dinner, no, sit down, he’s still going to do the dishes

he simply just doesn’t want you to lift a finger and wants you to sit pretty on the couch and enjoy yourself for a moment

speaking of cooking, yes… he can cook and he’s REALLY good at it

he had no former way of teaching himself other than wanting to find a new hobby, and oh my god if the dishes that he makes aren’t literally amazing

he enjoys cooking dishes that go well with his wine depending on what he felt like drinking from his collection

nicknames that he uses are simple and easy, but they get to the point. He’ll use nicknames like “doll” or “sweet stuff”; not as simple as ice man, but he likes them

He wraps his arms around you as you were cooking dinner,” How was your day, doll? Whatcha makin’?”

I can see him comforting a lot similar to iceman

he’ll listen quietly to literally anything you ask

if you want to be held, he’ll lay down on the couch and hold you in his arms as you’re laying down on top of him

will use his ability to make you both float away from the surface for a moment: something that he used to do that always calmed him down

he likes to caress your hair, so let him when he’s trying to comfort you.

if he’s sleeping with you, he’s definitely a spooner and he is the big spoon

he snores for sure, but he never loosens his grip if he’s holding onto you

sotf surveys - Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow

Yo, welcome to a series about my reactions to the Naruto movies and OVAs. Today we will be reviewing Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow (legit thought about doing this right after I finished the movie while having dinner lol)

I had previously watched Naruto Movie 1 when I was younger so this was more of a refresher to me. I remember a few major details but the rest were cloudy so I had a few surprises which was exciting, this is the benefit of rewatching something you've seen ages ago and become encapsulated with it all over again. Let's get into it:

OH MAN, you can definitely tell this was movie quality animation. I did not notice how well it was animated when I was younger, they really used up the budget well. Animated shows like to cut corners when it comes to animating to save both time and money which can make the animation feel stale. BUT THIS OUGH, you can see the overshoots and the anticipation in the characters' movements which adds more to their personality, specifically Naruto and Sakura who are outwardly expressive.

SPEAKING OF EXPRESSIONS

FINALLY I KNOW THE CONTEXT OF THIS IMAGE, I've seen it around before but wasn't sure where it was from.

An example of animation that display's Sakura's personality is in a scene 11 minutes into the movie where Team 7 (minus Naruto) gets a debrief on their mission with the film team.

Just for those 7 seconds we see how interested and excited Sakura is being in a movie studio. If it were set on the show I feel like she would only look over her shoulder and that would be it. In movie form we get a bit extra, not just looking over her should but she's innocently rocking back and forth. In addition, we have some background characters moving around which makes the space feel alive.

Another thing to note is the fluid motion of a character or scene being carried over from one frame to the next also the physical weight of their actions.

My favorite example of this is Yukie getting drunk in a small bar, you can see in both her and the other patron are clearly drunk and it's not because of the sake present. Yukie would slosh around, jerk forward suddenly, and have a heavy hand. When Sandayuu and Sakura burst in you can see the weight of their movements as well.

I'm also a sucker for sound quality and the use of foley sounds in movies ever since I learned about it in school. The sounds in Naruto Movie 1 are DELICIOUS. I'm fortunate to have access to a surround sound software also the website I'm using to watch the movie still contains the original sound file so, audibly, it feels like I am in a physical movie theater.

Interestingly, noticed a few scenes used dolly zoom. Not much to comment about it, very neutral about it.

Ma ma, enough with the technicalities, let's get into the plot-

"I guess it can't be helped." KAKASHI!?!? STRAIGHT UP WHIPS OUT THE SHARINGAN JUST TO PUT YUKIE UNDER A GENJUTSU. LIKE I GET IT, GOTTA MOVE HER ALONG NO SENSE IN BICKERING, BUT LMAO

Baby Koyuki and her father :(( the whole dream/flashback was adorable, even if it was short-lived.

Time to be a little Kakashi-biased, mainly the voice acting teehee. I'd like to note that I'm watching this in sub so Kazuhiko Inoue I am all ears. This is the scene where the filming gets interrupted by the villains, Kakashi springs into action, with a quick and commanding voice directs Team 7 to protect the now revealed princess, Koyuki.

If only y'all can hear this gif

Not the villains boasting about their literal plot armor to our protagonists.

Good job Sakura on doing what you're suppose to be doing! Protecting Koyuki-sama. Naruto ran straight towards one of the antagonists, though to be fair Sasuke was defending himself against the female antagonist. For theatrics sake makes sense, you gotta have a fight scene yknow.

I need to remember the movies aren't canon- Kakashi copying Ice-Style? Not possible since it's known as a kekki genkai, though for the sake of the plot and theatrics Kakashi's allowed to use Ice-Style lol.

ANBU KAKASHI SPOTTED IN FLASHBACK

"I, Sandayuu, will protect you with my life!" My pattern recognition senses are tingling...

Gonna dip back into some technicals again for a moment:

One of my favorite tropes in shows and movies is the involvement of the behind the scenes team present on stage, regardless if it's the camera crew, the animation crew, the production crew, etc. It's a funny gag, letting the audience know how hard these people work to produce their shows and movies. In Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow is no different where they show the type of work they put in setting up the scene with backdrops and props, ensuring the actors are in costume and make-up, and the final touch is the lights, mic, and camera are a go before calling action. The movie takes it a step further and shows us how far the director is willing to go to produce the final chapter of their movie series, it's also a chance of a lifetime.

I WAS RIGHT- BUT HOLY FUCK WAS THAT OVERKILL. RIP Sandayuu

I love the initial exchange in dialogue between Koyuki and Naruto during the prison scene,

"Well deserved." "You too."

MORE BABY KOYUKI AND HER DAD FLASHBACK

"Everyone seems to forget, I'm an actress." Ngl, thought Koyuki was under a genjutsu at first, then she double played me by stabbing Dotou. She really is an actress, go off girl

Sakura and Sasuke showing off their clever battle tactics??? A really impressive scene with their skills as shinobi; using their environment to their advantage, great use of ninja tools, great use of taijutsu too, and lastly they figured out how to destroy the chakra armor.

"Even if ninjutsu and genjutsu don't work on you, a shinobi still has taijutsu." The essential Shinobi Battle Skills!!!

A common trend with the first movie and the following Naruto movies, the main villain is always defeated with a rasengan variant, with Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow it's a 7 color chakra rasengan, or "rainbow rasengan". I find the variants really cool, though the trend to be silly /pos

baby Koyuki and her father memory? NO, baby Koyuki and her father projection!!! Legit thought she was having another flashback.

MY MAN KAKASHI JUST FOUND OUT ICHA ICHA PARADISE IS GETTING A MOVIE ADAPTION AND KOYUKI IS STARRING IN IT

Like any marvel movie, if you stick around until the very end the animation crew shows their gratitude towards the audience by thanking them which I really like especially since this is the first Naruto movie so they worked really hard on this and I appreciate their efforts.

Same anon. I also wanted to add besides the sexuality discourse. The fact they claim you're somehow babyfying Levi by stating things Isayama has clearly made obvious in the manga(sometimes I really feel bad for the way this man's work is always intentionally misunderstood) but then claim Levi is canonically this unfazed badass is also quite intriguing. Isayama had the chance to write anything else about Levi's life, possibly his life after the war, but he chose to write bad boy which again hammers on Levi's trauma and the way it has affected him, but no, let's all just pretend he's this heartless masculine alpha man.

I personally don't even think Levi will be very reserved if he lived in a different environment and grew up with his mother at his side. Yes, I think he'd a bit reserved but I also think he'd be able to smile more and play around more as a kid. But that's my headcanon. I think he'd be a gentle soul like maybe Marco was.

However, what I can't stop thinking about is the breakdown Levi had after his mother's tea cup shattered. This is isayama clearly showing us the last few times Levi as a child could express grief openly before he had to adapt stoicism as a copying mechanism. The fact that 7m7n7 also disliked the Levi's childhood crying scene because it was unnecessary and weird and that they were glad Isayama at least gave Levi a bad ass moment when attacking the men who tried to traffic him🤦🏻‍♀️

At this point she must admit she doesn't like Levi at all and that she just finds his design hot. Because how do you want to erase everything about Levi but then claim you love him.

Hi again! Yeah, that continues to baffle me, truly, how so many people just seem absolutely incapable or simply refuse to acknowledge Levi's trauma and the ways in which it's impacted him. I can't understand at all why they're so triggered by it, or why it's so upsetting to them, to acknowledge what, as you said, Isayama himself has confirmed, in canon, is true about Levi. He IS impacted by his trauma. It's had a profound impact on him. But what these people that rail against acknowledging that don't seem to get, either, is that it's the fact Levi's trauma has profoundly impacted him, and yet, he STILL remains a good man, that's testament to his strength as a character. They think it makes Levi "weak" to acknowledge that he's traumatized and that his trauma has had and continues to have an affect on him, but it's the exact opposite. It's despite the fact that his trauma continues to impact him that Levi is who he is. He's affected, and hurt, and grief stricken, but he never let all the pain of his life turn him rotten. That's the point. Levi isn't immune to being hurt, he isn't impervious to emotional devastation or heartbreak. Quite the contrary. I think Levi is probably the most deeply feeling character in AoT, that he's more deeply affected by things than anyone else. That's why I say he's a deeply emotional person. He feels on a level more profound than others. But it's for that fact that him remaining a good man is so remarkable and such a testament to his strength. Everything hits him like a ton of bricks, and stays with him, but he never let it break him or turn him into a bad person. AoT is littered with weaker characters who DID allow their trauma to turn them rotten and bad. But not Levi. And that really comes down, again, to Levi's innate goodness, to his great capacity for empathy and kindness. He didn't break under the weight of his trauma, not because it just slid right off him and didn't have an impact, but because his capacity for empathy and kindness and goodness is so deep. Because those qualities are so inherent and essential to Levi's core. It's those very qualities, in fact, the qualities bozo's like 7m7n7 think make Levi "weak" or "pathetic" or "feminine" that actually make Levi the strongest. It's not his physical strength that gives him that title. It's his heart.

I completely agree that I think, at his core, Levi is a gentle soul. That's part of his tragedy. That he's a gentle soul that was forced into a life of violence, that was forced to learn violence, just to survive. And while I think Levi is naturally a reserved and quiet person, he absolutely would be able to smile more and laugh and experience joy if he'd been allowed to live a more normal life. Levi's level of inexpressiveness isn't normal, and that's something a lot of these people don't want to acknowledge. It's a result of his trauma. He's experienced so little normalcy or happiness in his life, and has had to face so much hardship and cruelty, that it's like his ability to express his emotions just shut down. That's why I called it a coping mechanism, because consciously or not, Levi's lack of outward expression is a defense mechanism against the cruelty of the world. He's so sensitive, and things impact him so hard, that that's the only way he could learn to deal with it, to put a remove between himself and what he's feeling. He's still feeling it, but it's pushed down deep inside him, where he doesn't have to contend with it in the moment. It's the way he stayed functional in a world that, for his own and others survival, demanded he stay functional. His life has been too hard to allow himself to indulge in what he's actually feeling. If he did, it was liable to get him or others killed.

And jeez, I didn't even know 7m7n7 bitched about the scene of Levi crying after his mother's tea cup broke, but isn't that just typical. They don't want there to be any sort of acknowledgment or proof of Levi actually having emotions or being emotional or being impacted by his trauma. What a loser they are. Like, I'm sorry, but Isayama created Levi, so him drawing a panel of Levi crying and being affected by things is CANON, and no matter how much these people try to claim it's "unnecessary" or "weird" or try to imply it's "out of character", the bottom line is, if Isayama says, then that's who Levi is. He's a deeply emotional person. Also, Levi's encounter with those men, and him killing them, isn't meant to be seen as "badass". It's a complete tragedy. Having to see this poor, ten year old child being forced into such brutal violence just to save himself. That's the whole point. And Levi's reaction afterward, the way he bursts into tears, shows how horribly impacted and negatively affected he's been by having to engage in that violence. It's not badass, it's heartbreaking. 7m7n7 really is a complete fool.

You're right, at this point, they just need to admit they don't actually like Levi. They like the fantasy version of him they've conjured in their head, which is to say, they don't like Levi at all. Because Levi isn't this toxic masculine, incel asshole that they try to claim he is.

I just saw you reblog a post about Misha and Jared being overlooked for good acting vs Jensen. And I agreed with OP and your tags about Jared and Misha.

I think Misha had his areas of strength, but Casifer was more of a caricature or copy-cat of Mark P Lucifer, rather than Lucifer in Jimmy’s body (or Cass’ vessel). For example, Jared made Lucifer his own but there was still a tie to Mark’s version with his menace and condescension. I believe Misha can act, and there is one episode where I think he played lucifer well, but stopped really trying because Apocalypse Cass and The Empty Cass are frankly embarrassing.

Another point that was brought up is that some people overlook that Jared is good because they hate Sam or hate Jared, which I think is true but those peoples opinions aren’t valid because they have an agenda. But I also think it’s that Jensen/Dean are scene stealers and are often more animated, so the casual enjoyer is likely going to be drawn to him. Then he pulls out the emotion and it catches you because he’s usually fun. On the other hand Jared/Sam are more of a steady presence on SPN, most of the time, so it can be easier to not focus on him.

But what I’ve found on rewatches is that, while I initially was drawn to Dean and his expressive eyes, I’m now drawn more often to Sam and the nuances of what he’s doing, especially when he’s playing Not!Sam or Sick!Sam, but I still mostly love their scenes together most.

Though I think both actors have their strengths, I think Jared is truly stronger at physically embodying different characters, and Jensen often gets a stronger emotional response but I’d add a caveat to that because I’ve also noticed a difference in the quality of writing for emotional Sam lines vs emotional Dean lines at times, especially early seasons vs late seasons dialogue.

Anyway, sorry this got so long. I’m not even sure if you usually do asks. But I just had to comment because I find it so frustrating how a loud group praises Jensen skill and dumps on Jared when the truth is they and their characters are doing different things for different purposes, but both are good actors, and both have also had flat moments or over the top moments that have taken me out of the show once or twice.

The thing with Misha is he's pretty decent at getting into character with a gimmick.

Castiel is well known for his gravelly voice, because Misha thought about what would happen to a human vessel containing an angel, and then he stuck to the bit.

He is great at caricaturing Mark P's Lucifer, because he has some distinct facial expressions and line delivery. But, like I said in those tags, that wasn't the actual assignment. 🙃 And a big part of this is on Misha, because he could've given more thought to it; but it's also on the directors that allowed it. And I think a huge part of that might be how Mark P's face is a shorthand for Lucifer, and perhaps people forget that's just a vessel. So you end up with a Jimmy Novak vessel, comically contorting his face into Nick's features.🤨 I can't take it seriously; it's so uncomfortable to watch.

Apocalypse World Castiel is maybe even WORSE to me, because

1) how and why does he sound like that? Is Jimmy Novak German over there?? Or is that what CASTIEL sounds like, since our Castiel also doesn't sound like Jimmy Novak?

2) why would castiel even have the same vessel? I can give this a pass for the sake of the mind trip of seeing evil cas with the same face, but that brings up:

3) the FUCKING ACCENT is an honestly lazy shorthand for evil. Because he's not just doing a German accent, he's doing a Nazi Villain Accent like from a movie, complete with facial ticks. Someone else has a more in depth post on why it's Not Great to use German accents and Nazi caricature as a shorthand for evil, but I can't find it to link right now.

It bothers me so much.

The Empty doesn't bother me as much, except for the fact that once again Misha made a character choice that no one else depicting The Empty did. However, I'll give him a pass on it since his was the first.

Conversely, Jared puts a lot more thought into character motivation to create a nuanced PERSONA. He's not just "how can i make this one quirky in a new way?" He's getting into the character's head, and often switching between them. The way they carry themselves, the tone of voice while still being Sam/Jared's voice, the way he had Gadreel speak in iambic pentameter! The way you can see the difference when you pay attention.

And maybe I didn't appreciate it as much the first time, because I binged it ravenously rather than taking the time to think about any of the acting. So perhaps, like you said, Jensen/Dean's stronger emotional acting took the spotlight.

But with rewatching, I notice so much more about how Jared portrays different characters and learned so much about the care he puts into figuring out every character, I'm just constantly in awe.

I don't think Jensen's Michael was that bad, but it also didn't feel like Jared's Lucifer. Maybe part of that is that Jensen hadn't had to act anyone other than Dean as often as Jared had to act Not Sams.

J2 definitely each have different acting styles and strengths, and sure it's maybe not always perfect, but I love both. Though, I do have to admit, most of my reblogs and posts on the subject are just about Jared...lol. He's just amazing to me, maybe especially because Sam does get shafted to the background a lot, but when I look for him Jared is putting his all into Sam. If acting was still one of my personal interests, he would be a role model to me.

I ENCOURAGE READING THE MANGA, THERE ARE SO MANY GREAT EXPRESSIONS!! it's also great with mood whiplash scenes; one moment i can be fawning over how pretty the art is, the next i'm staring in awed silence at the dark parts of the story. like, the scene where maomao is at lihua/rifa's palace is AMAZING. (i totally get what you mean with manga too! i don't buy manga as much any more because digital tends to have better quality and is easier for me to read. plus, there's something about having a novel in my hands that doesn't compare to holding manga, if that makes sense?)

no problem; i'm glad to share the good news about the LN! i usually buy just the paperback and read that in bed because 1. comfy cosy vibes, and 2. easier on my eyes. (i also don't think it's weird; i've bought multiple copies of games over the years because i enjoy having access to it on different consoles (and enjoy modding them, in case of games on pc.))

agreed! the love triangle / having two people compete over a third person dynamic in isekai is just… awkward. especially in some manga/manhwa where it's obvious who the main couple is? it makes all the interactions so forced and usually leaves me either annoyed with the plot or the characters themselves (and not in the way the author probably intended). ngl, i am a lover of morally ambiguous male characters, but it's so weird how people condemn female characters for being rude, but the dudes all get 'oh, but he has ✨reasons✨' or grasp at straws to justify it. even when the women also have reasons or backstories to explain why they do what they do?

i also get annoyed when i see the female lead get bashed in comments for not being 'strong enough' when usually the FL has either been abused, traumatised, or just?? cries because they've been through so much??? it's like the FL can only be praised if they're going through their struggles the 'right' way, and emotions aren't allowed. like, no! give me all the characters and their responses; give me the characters who repress their feelings AND the characters who wear their hearts on their sleeves!

unrelated to the above, i started ascendance of a bookworm! i was at chapter 13 and crying from lutz and myne's friendship + wanting otto's love and citizenship in a side story. then i read further and started crying for an entirely different reason and OW MY SOUL. currently up to chapter 26, i'm both proud of my kids and just want to hug them. (also, i love how they deal with myne having a weak body; i have issues with my own body, and it's nice to see it taken seriously and also not instantly cured via plot magic.)

It's already happening irl and you can't even use fiction as escapism cause it's there too. :'( I like it when series write good characters. Ultimately for me, that's what how you can tell a writing is good; if they can separate that. That's why I love Apothecary Diaries; you fall in love with Maomao as a person. She's a great character who just happens to be a girl. You love her for who she is, and not because she's a woman, or the narrative tells you a bajillion times she is a "badass female protagonist so you should love her!!!" (which she is ofc but that's not the entirety of Maomao's personality. She's more than that!! And I love her for more than just that.) JgdghgjI I just love female friendships so much. I wish we have more in shoujo and series in general. I want platonic female friendships; sapphic relationships, all of them. I love women. Funny you mentioned that cause I wish people would stop seeing femininity as a weakness cause it's not!! It's really ironic seeing people say a female character is "strong" because she's physically strong and have masculine traits, but have no substance or character development beyond that. To strengthen my point above, a female character is a great character because she was a great character to begin with and does not depend on harmful stereotypes just so they can be written lazily as "female" (I hope I'm making sense).

I'm so happy you liked it! Bookworm is so well-written and incredibly detailed in worldbuilding, lore and character development it's almost intimidating! I love its realistic portrayal of human relationships and disability; of found family and loneliness. Its focus on the world and the people around it makes the characters a lot more...believable(?) Like you can feel that they have lives outside of their interactions with Myne. Myne is just a heartbeat of a human life trying to survive in the unfair caste system she is born in. assidfsf. Fr I feel like I'm Myne's parent; seeing her grow, seeing her achieve her dreams and be happy and live like a normal girl makes me cry. I really recommend reading the LN of part 2 especially the last volume. I bawled like a baby in one of the scenes. Her family is just so wholesome. ;;v;; Sorry for rambling. I love this series so much and I've been trying to hold back reading my backlog cause I know I would finish it in just a few days.

-I found Bloodrayne uploaded to youtube in hd so it's next on my watchlist. I skipped around the timline to see if it really was or it just wanted to me to visit a website that would give me a virus, and I did catch a glimpse of the Mrod accent. In love already

-I think you posted about having a physical copy of The Assignment, but I found it on some russian youtube site. It's a good place to find a lot of Mrod movies in hd tbh. Tubi also has a bunch and it works with adblockers and screen recorders.

-I would have loved to see Frank sitting in a back corner with his drink at the bar, staring at the table when Johnnie comes up to hit on him and he looks like a deer in headlights. It definitely seems implied that he came up to her, but watching him sit there looking like his brain can no longer form thoughts would have been infinitely better

-The look on Johnnie's face when Frank first fucks her deadass startled me during the first watch. It is like Awkward Fuck Frankie to not be able to read that look, though. Man breaks out "I'm not a mind reader" regularly but he just straight up can't read blatant tone or facial expressions because he only interacts with people for work

-It doesn't seem like he was too into her during that first coffee, but I guess he could have started chickening out on trying to connect and that's why he drops the "I'm leaving town real soon" right after he gets her number. I needed more of a "Fuck, what's wrong with me?" look on his face after she leaves I think

-Frank already has pretty chunky heels on his boots when you see him tape the extra bullet on at the beginning lol. I think he should be put in platforms personally. Or those boots Letty wears during Race Wars

-Loving every new addition to the rewrite you're sharing. Perfect expansion on Johnnie's character. I'll always find joy in bad films and it's nice to see them get made into something legitimately interesting

imo it's worth watching just for katarin/rayne potential and also the fact that every single other woman is wearing a vaguely period gown. when rayne's original crop top and capris combo gets destroyed the stronghold tailor (who presumably also makes katarin's clothes) immediately makes her a second even sluttier crop top and capri set so i imagine it's just one tortured man with prophetic visions of y2k. also the guy playing katarin's very campy dad gives a performance that is actually decent. which makes him stick out like a sore thumb lol

i've been watching the shitty blurry youtube version so i don't have to deal with my dvd player so i might switch to the russian one! i dunno if it's the sound quality or just the performance but half the time with the one i have i CANNOT figure out what honest john is saying

at first i thought maybe frank couldn't see johnnie's face because he's staring at himself in the mirror (side note: because the version i'm watching is so low quality i had to watch him rip the condom open with his teeth like four times because i mistakenly thought he was tearing off his fake moustache) and it was meant to be foreshadowing that she had an ulterior motive. but then she literally gives him that look so i don't know what was going on there

maybe it's supposed to be sultry? or he's just not thinking. i imagine about ninety percent of the blood flow in his body goes to keeping that cock up and running. once his system wasn't trying to support that anymore i bet it was like that movie where scarlett johansson unlocks one hundred percent of her brain's capacity

anyway setting sexual chemistry aside after writing my own ending i'm honestly more miffed that frank and johnnie didn't end up together!! i dunno why he couldn't forgive her seeing as she was the world's least effective informant and didn't impede his plans in any way. (also, how long did honest john know about that? the whole time, right? if i were him maybe i would have asked johnnie to try to prevent frank from fucking killing all my men! i assume john promised the doctor he wouldn't kill frank but once frank started picking off his guys i feel like john could have reneged on that deal.) if i were making a movie about a hitman getting REVENGE and calling it REVENGER'S TALE then maybe for character development reasons i would have him forgive someone at the end but i guess it's supposed to be meaningful that he's leaving johnnie alone in reno and not seeking REVENGE on her

my new theory is that he fell in love with johnnie as soon as she used the word "fuck buddies" because he's so jersey that "buddies" is the only kind of relationship he can conceive of

mm, letty's new rocks. i feel like i'm cheating on her and mia a little bit but i gotta get frank and johnnie out of my system

this rewrite is honestly just for you and me and maybe like two people browsing the "medical experimentation" tag. it'll be up by...monday, maybe? i've written maybe 30 scenes out of 69 (nice). full warning i have no idea how to write a screenplay. i have learned a lot about custom ao3 workskins, lol. so it'll at least be in courier new

- oh god he's freaking out help this poor kid

- its very late and akaashi is riding the bus with u back to the part of the city where u live after an exhausting study date

- u put ur head against this shoulder to catch up on some sleep and at first he doesn't notice, but after a while he glances over and sees ur sleeping expression

- flustered for a good second but chuckles to himself after he realizes ur actually asleep and not faking it

- he doesn't think of it as much on the outside but on the inside his heart is going brrrrrrrr

- the sunset and sunlight is peeking into the bus windows and u look like an angel to him <3

- i headcanon akaashi's love language to be physical touch and quality time,, so rest assured this moment between the two of u will exist in his head for a long time

- ur so cute and sleepy and akaashi just wants to put u in his pocket and protect u from the world

- he's super soft knowing that ur comfortable around him enough to actually lean onto him

- eventually i think he'd just put down whatever he was doing to occupy himself on the train ride and rest his head against urs!!!

- u were spending the night at tendou's house to watch some new movies,, it was super late and u were sleepy (ur literally dating a ball of sunshine it probably gets exhausting seeing him filled with energy all the time)

- ur watching movies on his sofa and there's candy and snacks everywhere omg

- it was a quiet part in the movie with primarily dialogue and tendou was entirely immersed in the story plot- not even realizing u had tucked urself into him and fallen asleep

- "hm? what's this?"

- at first he pays no attention to your sleeping form and keeps watching the movie,, he's super glad you're getting some sleep though <3

- after a while he turns the movie off and settles you against him more comfortably, his arms find themselves around your waist and now he's just big spooning the heck outta you

- he's super warm and comfy and he reaches over to grab a blanket and throw it over the two of you

- tendou isn't sleeping but more so just closing his eyes and resting!! he traces little shapes onto your skin

- something tells me he'd try and copy your breathing pattern but then accidentally end up choking HELP

- he's humming quietly and really takes the time to admire you because he thinks you're the prettiest in the world <3

^__^ iwaizumi:

- after practice he's pretty grumpy from dealing with his team mates (primarily oikawa /j /lh) and he gets clingy <3

- so now you are both at home in bed spending some time together before he decides to call it a night

-his head his snuggled into your chest (i believe in iwaizumi little spoon supremacy idc /lh) and he's telling you about his day

NINTENDO POWER & MEGA MAN. (1/3)

Heya! This is gonna be one of three parts of a post where I talk about the American presentation's of Mega Man in Nintendo Power!

When Mega Man 2 hit store shelves on June 2nd, 1989 there was always the hope that Nintendo Power would intensely cover the game. And with the issue the month after avid readers got access to a professional walk through of almost the entire game!

Though... As most things are, they had a very specific interpretation of characters. Doctor Wily has the mouth of Homer Simpson, the face of a Hanna Barbara character and he's wearing yellow for some reason? Well to be honest, a lot of the characters have a weird yellow accent to them. Take Mega Man here! He's got yellow on his helmet studs for some reason. Though at least they were able to draw him close to how he looked in game!

One of the best features of this though, is that it has an in-depth strategy guide of all eight Robot Master stages ( called the Wily-Force in this. ) The magazine presents it in a four page spread where the left half focuses on one robot while the second focuses on another. Nintendo Power would always do this for their cover games to put added focus on them.

Nintendo Power was very thorough with their guides, being able to put screen after screen together working with only late 80's photo editing, honestly It's impressive to see these full page spreads of all of Mega Man 2! Especially that disappearing block section, must've been a real pain to get that one figured out.

Overall though? This is pretty good so far, introducing Mega Man to a wider audience while keeping the authentic feel of the game's artwork. Nintendo Power did a good job with the limited resources they had to create this one! Though... The next time they covered a Mega Man game, it was a bit more debatable in quality...

:WHAT THE HELL?!" Is the first thing I thought when I was a small child on the internet years ago. Why did they draw Mega Man and Rush like that?! They clearly used the Japanese artwork as reference which is a step up but... They didn't have to do this to him, it makes the game look so unappealing.

But hey! The inside illustration is actually... Pretty good! It's trcing over Inafune's artwork but it gives it this 60's sci-fi touch with the gradients I really enjoy. Mega Man's eye is drawn in a weird way, but besides that I can't really complain! I own a physical copy of this specific Nintendo Power issue and it was an absolute joy reading through.

Like mentioned from the cover, they had all of Inafune's Mega Man 3 artwork to work with which made the inside quality look a lot better! I'm glad that capcom was finally able to send out assets for the guys at Nintendo Power to use, it's one of the only ways Mega Man made it big around the gaming sphere back in the day. Only thing besides magazines for the Blue Bomber was the Ruby Spears cartoon... And we'll talk about that another day! :)

Continuing on from the 60's sci-fi point I made before, the robot masters are reinterpreted as these hyper-mechanical androids with visible segments and a lack of humanity to them. Proto Man's in here too, the strategy guide adds a little bit of intrigue by only calling him Break Man. I wonder how much of a shocker the Mega Man 3 ending was to some of the younger kids playing it back in the day.

Where robots had big bendy boots and expressive faces they now possess segments and a slim silver doll-like face, I honestly dig it. They did a good job rolling with what the box art looked like and took the rest of that art into the style... Now why couldn't the cover be done by this artist? It's already so much better than the outside. Even the Mega Man 2 robot masters got some love for the doc robot fights!

Mega Man's start in Nintendo Power was something special to the kids who bought the games and wanted strategy guides to go through them, but it also started the mold of interpretation for a lot of the older Mega Man fans out there. What was your experience with Mega Man in Nintendo Power? I remember mine, it was back in 2011 during the NES anniversary issue in #260. I was very young at the time, I used to love looking at the magazines for all the newest games and some of the virtual console ones... But there was one that I caught myself staring at for a long while.

This single page of Mega Man captured my mind for a long time, I didn't play a Mega Man game until a year later when I tried 4 and 10 on the Wii. But these magazines keep a mold for the kind of games they have! They imprint on you and your interpretation of the character is what you remember it. For me, Mega Man is this piece of artwork from the front of Mega Man 1. But he can be anything you really want him to be!

I'm 5'3, asexual and chubby and go by she/her.

I'm calm and withdrawn at first, I'm usually very silent when I'm surrounded by people I am not comfortable with. I have suspicions that my selective mutism that I had when I was younger may still be around because there are some situations that require to speak, I get uncomfortable and find it hard to say anything. I don't know, it's just a thought, not sure if I still kind of have it. I just kinda hate being forced to talk when I don't want to. I don't go out much, I prefer indoors, I only go out if I have to.

But yeah, when I'm surrounded by people I'm comfortable with, I'm more talkative and more expressive of my emotions. I don't have many friends in real life but I do have a few online ones.

I usually prefer texting than verbally talking to be honest. Its just easier for me to express. Not like I could physically see my two best friends since I had to move last year but luckily we have discord 💀🤚 otherwise my dumbass can't even go out to try and make friends nor even want to.

I like games, though, I'm also a procrastinator and a lazy person. I tend to procrastinate on my school work and other things like watching a certain anime, tv show, movie and even with playing games. I have a game block 😔👊.

I don't know, but I can be insecure about myself but I try to be positive about some qualities I have. Anyone could compliment me, I mean, there's nothing to compliment anyways, I would just say that they blind or something or wrong. I get insecure when I show people my music taste only because they just seem uninterested when I play it 😔👊. My friends reckon I'm smart but I just don't apply myself to my assignments... Idk, I believe I'm just stupid. Somehow, I don't get stressed out easily, even when a due date is coming up and I haven't done much in my assignment. But that probably depends on the subject and how important it is for it to be done, otherwise I will start getting a little stressed. I don't believe that my problems should matter ever, because I've had a good childhood, a loving family, though occasionally, I have some problems with my dad otherwise we're usually fine. I mean, my friends and many other people have it worse than me so that's why I don't think my problems are relevant.

I can get childish and get distracted easily. Like, I could be doing an assignment or homework and after 30 seconds, I'm on my phone or doing something else 💀. Sometimes, I need things dumbed down for me because I'm just like, "what??"

I love comedy and laughing, it's just fun. I like memes and sending cursed memes to my friends or anyone else that happens to be on the same server I am. To be honest, I'm active 24/7 on discord and mostly active on one server because I socially suck to talk on any other. I'm not a fan of horror because obviously it's scary yet I like watching people play horror games 🤔.

I'm not a fan of physical affection, but it depends on who the person is and how comfortable I get with them like my family for example. My love language would be quality time I think but only a bit of physical affection if I'm comfortable enough ig 😕.

I've never been in a relationship before because I fear cheating, arguments, having a significant other bored of me and all the other problems. And because I'm not that interest in romance that much at the moment in my life

In regards to people having problems in their life and they vent to me, I find it hard to comfort them. I try to do my best but I suck at it. I usually don't know what to say and I wish I knew. It's not that I don't care, I do, I'm just more of a listener than a talker but I try to find some words to say in attempt to help. It's a little easier for me to comfort someone online than in person, I'd probably be silent.

I'm good at keeping secrets, I would take them to the grave, though sometimes I can forget depending on the secret. I can be a forgetful person, not only with some secrets but other stuff I'm suppose to remember 😭.

I love music, I can't tell what genre I like, I like many songs. I'm also an animal lover and currently doing animal studies, which mostly revolves around dogs at the moment but I'm looking forward for the cat part, I love cats, I have two of them.

01 | Smokescreen has a way of making you feel at home. In the beginning, you were reluctant to open up, yet once you've gotten to know the playful mech, you find it easy to talk to Smokescreen. You enjoy listening to him ramble on and on and on and find no trouble comforting him when he needs to hear it. In return, Smokescreen is more than happy to speak on your behalf whenever you don't feel like talking. He may be enthusiastic by nature but he isn't pushy. He never forces you to do something you're not okay with and makes you feel safe. This is why eventually you opened up to him and both of you became fast friends.

02 | Texting with Smokescreen is never boring. He's always ready with a handful of reaction pictures and a dozen of emojis when chatting with you. The young mech is naturally expressive and curious, which is why he's always up to date with the latest memes and trends. ( The way Smokescreen text may frustrate Ultra Magnus at times but it never fails to make you laugh.)

03 | Two of you share a lot of common interests which is why you get along so well. Ever since Jack taught him how to play video games, he's been asking you to indulge him. Smokescreen can also sometimes feel worn out and choose to watch movies with you indoors instead, following the plot of your favorite anime and always quoting them on the battlefield. He's not picky and is almost up for anything as long as you get to spend some quality time.

04 | With his positive, upbeat attitude, Smokescreen rarely seems upset or dissatisfied on the outside. But his inner idealism can leave the mech with a nagging feeling that some major areas of their life just aren’t good enough – which would sometimes make him feel insecure. The two of you seem to understand and relate to each other's experiences, making you comfort buddies that lift each other's spirits whenever you both feel down. He reminds you constantly that your problems matter and he's more than happy to listen to you vent, while you assure him that he is good enough because he's trying his best.

05 | He knows you're afraid of starting a relationship, and while he can be a bit impatient and bold, Smokescreen is more than happy to take it slow with you. While he himself is disorganized, Smokescreen tries his best to remind you to catch up on schoolwork. ( Smokescreen tells himself he's turning into Ultra Magnus whenever he finds himself nagging you.) He doesn't take it against you when you don't get what others are saying and is more than willing to rephrase it for better understanding.

06 | Smokescreen thinks you're special. He loves how you're so good with animals and how you seem to have all the right songs to show him. Smokescreen can watch you play with your cats for hours and has a copy of your playlist for him to listen to whenever he feels down. He finds it adorable how you can be forgetful at times and admires how loyal you are in keeping secrets. ( Like that one time you covered for him and saved him from being yelled at by Ratchet.) He doesn't see any flaw in you and even if he does, he accepts that as a part of you : his favorite human.

I'm Flo, a 19 years old bisexual girl.

Appearance: I'm 164 cm(~5'3) tall, with slim, kinda athletic body. I have medium long brown hair and same coloured deer-eyes(probably most attractive part on me), I also wear eyesglasses. I have thin mouth unfortunately. Also, I have a tiny little scar above my right eyebrow(I opened our car's door on my head years ago lolol), it's barely visible. I'm a quite difficult person to be with and to love, so I'm suprisingly flexible in a relationship. Only thing I need and without it wouldn't work at all: DEEP CONVOS AND SOME INTELLECT. Also, I have a quite roasting-bullying type humour, so my lover should understand and being able to handle that. Anyways, I'm not much of a PDA person(but I don't mid handholding, short hugs etc. if my partner really want to), and not romantic at all(also cannot flirt hehe), and for a long time I can be bit distant. So i spent a lot of my life thinking i was pretty normal. I mean, i knew i was sort of different from other people, but i thought everyone felt different on the inside. This was validated by the fact that my father really understood me.

I thought: obviously the people ypu are related to are more similar to you than people who are not. Also in ways other than physical. I did not realize how i acted was not "normal" until i finally realized my father wasn't either.

He is a physics professor (surely that means he is a perfectly normal, functioning, member of society).

My father is also divorced. Twice. Within a few years of marriage. He has had the same pants for 30 years. You cannot even tell their original color.

He spends most of his time on his work, on his laptop he carries everywhere. Physics is his passion above all else. Above realtionships. Except maybe the one he has with me, apparently. His second ex-wife told me: you're probably the only person he has ever managed to love.

Sometimes he forgets how to live, but in the years he has become very good at keeping himself in check. He eats well, sleeps enough, and goes for walks. But when he has to take care of himself he does it hastily. He realized he needs a routine to function, and determinately stuck to it. I can tell he hates it sometimes.

I can tell from the way he puts the dishes away, not caring if they clatter. How he cleans immediatly whenever he spills something. How he slams the door of the spice cabinet, how he eats incredibly quickly as if it were a task. From how he jumps off the couch in the afternoon, and how the ruins all his shoes by never untying the laces. He does these things like ripping off a band aid.

I see he only wears nice clothes when he goes to work, because he has learned that appearences matter. How he conciously, methodically, painstakingly crafted a version of himself that would be acceptable to society. I see that he puts on a polite and painfully empty smile when talking to colleagues. And I know he things most of his students are stupid.

Since I was little he always took my questions seriously. He also tried to teach me about maths and physics. When I could not stand doing divisions in elementary school, he tried to teach me about the binary system and how to do divisions with that. The next year he taught me trigonometry. I can't say i ever became good at algebra, mostly because I am too distracted and make a lot of simple mistakes.

He did, however, make me realize my interest in geometry. I have a very good sence of space and shapes and can manipulate them easily. I used this talent a little for school, and a lot for art. He also supported my love for reading. Or rather, he started it by putting a copy of LotR in my hands at age 9.

He understands me when I tell him that the noise of the water hitting the sink hurts my ears sometimes. He said it happens when you focus too hard on something. He picks up on the same sounds and smells as i do, when other people don't seem bothered at all. He gets what I mean by feeling "floaty", and what it means to seem to be outside your own body.

I don't share his passion for physics, but he always tells me about new and interesting things and shows me his simulations of ice crystals with graphite and tells me about how we know the universe is expanding. And honestly, for him, telling me about these things is the most emotionally significant form of expression he could give to me. And i feel it.

Most other people dissmiss it, and i understand that. Now. We're both kinda off, in different but still quite similar ways. But all in all, i feel more and more often more and more human, now that i can see i am different, in the way i remember things, in the way i process them. Trying to define a quality that all humans must have to be considered humans is inherently dehumanizing.

So let's see what i can do with my life. I hope to be able to connect with people better than my father does. I hope I won't judge them as harshly as he does. I know that there are people that will understand me, and i know that there are people who do not, but nonetheless accept me. I want to find a place in society, even if it's not anywhere near the top.

And since I've made it this far, even if I feel it's way harder than it should be to ignore the thoughts, to fall asleep, to get up, to do all the things I neeed to do, I know that I can do it. And that I am allowed to do things differently. In a way that suits me. My dad got lucky, or maybe unlucky. He found his eternal passion he would do anything to pursue. Meanwhile I live comfortably in the knowledge that all I need is to live in a place near the sea.
