I love the fact that they're 5th years, cuz kids left unsupervised will try to off themselves in increasingly creative ways, and teens even more so:') but some days I wish we got more of the dark bit of dark academia cuz!! The potential man the potential!! It's dark enough already but... I wouldn't mind darker hahahaha okay i know, the AK situation but! I wanted that explored more. DLC when? Thoughts?

Oh I don't know about unsupervised, because while in the castle there's professors everywhere, and ghosts and portraits, so they're watched most of the time. That's why the Undercroft is so important to them, I guess, because only there can they not be seen.

But yeah, definitely wish there was more DA stuff in the game! It's a pretty niche aesthetic, and it only became a "thing" during the pandemic, whereas HL was in development for about five years. So the Seb and Omi quests being so perfectly DA was probably completely accidental!

Would love more DA quests, or DLC, or a brand new game like that set in the HP world. There is indeed a lot of potential. And the AK situation, I hardly consider it as dark lol I think the whole Scriptorium quest is way darker, as you force Ominis to do stuff he doesn't like, and you find his aunt's remains and stuff... Like, that's certainly one place where they could've leaned into the DA aesthetic, if you could return to the Scriptorium and find new things, new spells, new potions, and it would serve as a sort of dark version of the RoR.

There are some DA games that I can recommend, and they're way darker than HL:

Call of Cthulhu

Dishonored

The Rule of Rose

Vampyr

Only Rule of Rose is about younger characters and it has themes of education and study (Vampyr does too, but it's just medical), but they all have that lovely atmosphere.

Hopefully though the HP fandom gets its revival and more games are made in this universe, and some of them will be more mature and spooky. Now with AI making so many advances, it's easier than ever for people to make their own games, even though they may not be HL-level in graphics and scope.

KilluGon and the Chimera Ant Arc

idk what to title this. but it’s basically just a few interesting killugon parallels and connections i found in the CAA. (SPOILERS AHEAD!!)

1)

“Precious.”

“You’re the only one for me!”

The Killua scene happens in chapter 219. The Palm and Knov scene happens right after, in chapter 220.

Y’all know the story. Killua fights a rabbit and proclaims Gon as his “most precious friend” . Killua thinks of all their moments together, the most emphasized one being from the dodgeball game when Gon said some gay shit to him.

“KILLUA JA NAKYA DAME NAN DA!” is the exact phrase Gon used.

It’s a romantic phrase in Japan. The English equivalent is :

Killua is the only one for me! ; it has to be Killua! ; Killua is my one and only!

READ THIS ARTICLE. IT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING ABOUT GON AND THE PHRASE HE USED.

The top panel is the next chapter when Knov caught Palm using her power without his permission. He manipulates her by saying “Your blood is precious resource.” , knowing exactly how that word would affect her. After hearing Knov say “precious” , Palm thinks to herself “Knov is the only one for me!”

i wanted to address that each scene uses different wording BUT they all mean the same thing, just like how there’s multiple ways to say English words and phrases, it’s. the. same. thing. romantic phrases. preciousness. one and only.

Gon :

じゃなきゃダメなんだ (Ja nakya dame nan da) = You’re the only one for me / It has to be you

Palm :

しかいない (Shika inai) = You’re the only one for me / There is only you

Killua :

大事な (Dajina) = Precious / Important

Knov :

貴重 (Kichō) = Precious / Valuable

Anyway, the point is, Togashi’s intentions with this little connection is clear. Knov calling Palm’s blood “precious” and Palm saying “Knov is the only one for me” which was expressed in a very romantic manner, and it all happened like 15 minutes after Killua and Gon said the same things abt each other.

Palm and Knov paralleled Gon and Killua from the very moment they were first introduced.

I’m working on a separate post that focuses solely on the parallels between PalmKnov and GonKillua because it’s a lot.

The bottom panel is the conversation between Meruem and Komugi before they... you know... shinjuu.

I know I talk a lot about Palm and Knov paralleling/reflecting killugon but the parallels with Meruem and Komugi go CRAZY. It's so underrated. The above dialogue is just one example of the many parallels.

Isn't it interesting how Togashi chose to make Gon and Killua reflect not just one but TWO romantic pairings so far?

Importance

I never realized how big of a theme "importance" was in hxh. It connects everything all together.

In the top left panel, it explains how Komugi is important to Pitou because of how Komugi is important to Meruem, and Meruem is important to Pitou.

But the thing is, although Pitou already knew it, Meruem (at the time) didn't realize that Komugi was the thing most important to him. The thing most important wasn't his initial goal of taking over the world, but the person he met along the way, the one who flipped his world upside down and gave him his first feelings of friendship and love.

Meruem didn't realize Komugi was most important to him until after they were separated and reunited again. He fully understood her importance as they prepared to die together (shinjuu).

Oh, and then we have Gon, Killua, and Palm, of course. And Ging.

We're all familiar with Killua's little breakdown. Palm reassured him that she wasn't the one most important to Gon, but that it was Killua all along. Killua is the most important to Gon.

Killua then also becomes important to Palm, because of how Killua is important to Gon, and Gon is important to Palm.

But the thing is, although Palm already knew it, Gon (at the time) didn't realize that Killua was the thing most important to him. The thing most important wasn't his initial goal of finding his dad, but the person he met along the way, the one who flipped his world upside down and gave him his first feelings of friendship and love.

Gon's true feelings and thoughts are actually still unclear, which leads me to believe that his story with Killua isn't over yet. I can only assume that he'll have a similar realization just like Meruem.

According to the bottom right panel, Gon will "inherit" the heart of realizing what (or who, in this case) is truly important. Togashi told us right there in bold lettering.

His little speech doesn't sound that ambiguous to me, he make it pretty clear that Gon is KIllua's beloved, right after using a hetero romantic couple as an example. read my post about this moment here!!

Love love love. HXH IS ABOUT LOVE. The main love of focus is between Gon and Killua, obviously.

And yeah, i know two of the panels aren't CAA related, but everything is indirectly connected to that arc so i'll allow it.

Now… Aesop has a pretty soft voice himself. It's pretty difficult to hear him, if at all, in a crowded room, so he'd very much appreciate a partner who is similar. 

Even if there was cannons going off, fireworks exploding just above his head, the screaming of a Banshee in the room. He'd somehow be able to hear your lovely voice no matter what. He's always attentive to your words, not just because of how soft you sound, but because he genuinely cares for what you have to say. 

Due to auditory problems from his autism, he can be pretty picky with what he wants to hear. Loud noises make him jump and flinch, he hates the loudness, so… the fact your voice can bring him a soothing mellow emotion is something he's so eternally thankful for. 

Whenever you talk, he just goes silent. Not that talks in the first place, but he just loves honing in on your voice. The way you pronounce words. The way you laugh about his awkward silence. It makes his eyes glisten with such fondness. 

And don't even get me started if you hum or sing to him. 

Oh my GOSH. He'd be so enamored. 

The first time he heard it? Could've sworn he was falling in love all over again.. Without the embalming thoughts. 

Whenever it's the two of you, and you're humming? He starts to quietly hum along as well. You two are very, very good singers. Perfect harmony. 

Although, he doesn't mind listening to you sing. It's something you like doing and it's something he likes to hear as well.

If he's having more of a … Severe one, yeah one or two cute words won't help him snap out of it quickly. You're gonna have to pull him out of it a lot more. But, if you can handle that (without getting too close because YOU WILL get punched), then he's forever indebted to you. 

And holy shit. When you sing? 

He thought he had died for a minute and some sort of angel or saint was guiding him back home. 

It had to be. There's no way someone sounds THAT good. 

Unlike Aesop, he's not the best singer… like at all. So he'd rather let the professional do it.

Finished JJK S2. Many thoughts below.

I'm kinda "hmm" over the parallels in personalities between the Yuji/Megumi/Nobara team and the Satoru/Suguru/Shoko team. Yuji and Gojo as the powerhouses with loud mouths. Megumi and Suguru as the quieter members. Nobara and Shoko as the boisterous don't take shit ones. Like idk I guess I'm just worried about Megumi in this equation and hoping he doesn't pull a Sasuke (or duh Suguru lmao) at some point.

Speaking of Megumi, he was only really involved in about 3 fights total. I missed him in the bigger showdowns with the others. On the other hand, I'm really glad Nobara got to step in and deal some actual damage to Mahito. Like I said before, fuck Mahito, all my homies hate Mahito. I mean, seriously, it felt like Yuji was getting nowhere with Mahito, so when Nobara got that hit in, I was cheering, I was hooting. I was painting "Nobara" on the back of my shirt. What an awesome moment for her.

Sorry I watched basically the entire series today so my brain is burning, my memories feel like soup rn, I'm going out of order when talking about events. Uhhh... oh I'm glad Jogo and Hanami died. I was sick of them. The difference in the fight between Jogo and Sukuna vs. Sukuna and Megumi's thingy. His... what was it called again? Eh whatever you know what I'm talking about. The pact (?) monster Megumi called forth before he went unconscious. The difference in those fights was super interesting. With Jogo, Sukuna was just having fun and not worried at all. With Megumi's thingy, Sukuna actually had to strategize a bit and such. No wonder he has a fascination with Megumi.

Too bad Sukuna killed those sisters but honestly not surprised. I did like how those sisters revived Yuji/Sukuna.

Oh?? And Choso dude?? The sibling reveal?? You have nooo idea how much I didn't want Choso to get killed off at the very end. I was hoping, I was praying, I was like absolutely not, now that I know he's Yuji's older brother, he cannot die. Ever. Everrr. Bc you know me and my thing about siblings. Love em. I was laughing when Choso was telling Yuji to call him older brother, and Yuji was like dude whaaat lmao. Like shhh, Yuji, shhh. Just accept it. You have two brothers now. Aoi and Choso. Lolol.

Speaking of Aoi, I had a moment where I was like, okay, I can get over Nanami's death because he had accepted his death, he was tired, he was ready to go, but I CANNOT accept Aoi's death. Even the thought of him dying made me start to tear up. He's definitely one of my favorite characters now, which is funny, bc I thought he was just annoying in his first appearance. But the fact that he has Yuji and Takada in his locket?? LMAOOO THIS MAN IS SO UNSERIOUS PLS. Sucks he lost a hand, but I'd rather him lose a limb than lose a life. Oh yeah and Nanami fucks forever and always. He was so hot for wrapping his tie around his hand like that. Ugh. Love him. Gonna miss him. Hope someone reclaims his weapon. I actually didn't cry over him bc, like I said, he was just... ready to go. He was too tired to go on. I could accept that.

Bro did Maki die?? I mean surely if Nanami survived then maybe she did as well...? I hope she didn't die. I liked her.

Owww my brain hurts, I need to get my thoughts out faster. Uhh... ohhh. Oh. When Yuji witnessed Nanami's death on top of Nobara's death (not convinced she's 100% dead though bc of the medic boy being like idk she was dead but maybe she won't be bc of my healing) and on top of seeing what Sukuna had done to Shibuya... holy fuck... talk about a lot of trauma in a short time. Dude when he just gave up after Nobara's death... and he curled up and cried when Aoi appeared... that hurt me. That made me feel like I was in the stadium of the first Pokemon movie watching all the Pokemon cry over Ash's stone body. It felt like that moment. That sadness and grief just overwhelming. Damn. What a good moment though.

I haven't even talked about Satoru yet. Woooow... the way he demolished all those curses at the train station in such a short time... crazy. Sucks he's trapped in a box. Like idk what else to say lmao. Free my man Satoru.

Omg omg omg can I talk about how two of my favorite moments of the whole series ended up in this season?? So the scene where Nobara talked to that girl from Yuji's high school who had a crush on him, and she called Megumi to come meet them, and then Yuji appeared later. Ahhh!! Squee!!! Megumi was sooo cute! And he was super cute in my other fav flashback scene where Nobara spilled coffee or whatever on Satoru's shirt, and Megumi stuffed the shirt under his own shirt to hide it from Satoru. Like lmao he gave himself boobies. PLS HE'S SO CUTE. MY LIL BEANIE BABY. See, this is why I can't have this man go all Sasuke. I need him to stay on the team for cute moments like that.

And speaking of cute Megumi things, I thought it was so cute when he was planning to die, and he replayed the last words he and Yuji said to each other. Something about them like staying safe/meeting up later or whatever. And he was like sorry I broke my word, Yuji. Something akin to that. :3

Holy moly some of the dialogue goes on for way too long during fight scenes and such. Like I know they have to explain all the techniques and details of curses and such, but it makes the fight scenes seem so much longer, and I'm like goddd please just shut up and fight (I'm literally not retaining any of the info they're saying anyway asldkja)!! Also, some of the fight scenes, even without a ton of dialogue, were just ridiculously long. Like did we really need 3-4 episodes of one fight between Yuji and Mahito?? I was like somebody new please come in and kill Mahito ASAP.

LOL the way that I was like "FINALLY, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN THIS WHOLE TIME?" when Yuta finally arrived at the end, only to be like boooooo when he said he was gonna kill Yuji. Like nooo you two are supposed to be friends, okay. Be friends. Amigos. Pals. Fight side-by-side. Nah but surely Yuta will come around and fight alongside Yuji, right... right...

Wow yeah lots and lots of deaths this season. And now Megumi's sister is awake so okaaay...

Also, that Megumi dad dude was awesome as hell. He was freaking insaaane. I didn't care that he was kicking everyone's ass, I was just like let's goooo!

So anyway if any of y'all are reading the manga, please lemme know if Yuji and Choso retain a stronger bond of sorts or if that doesn't happen at all. Or if Choso straight up dies and they never get the chance for any kind of "hey that scar brain dude helped birth us so we're brothers" talk.

Damien doesn’t make an exceptional habit of lying.

Every now and again, perhaps, a white one here and there, but nothing excessive, nothing harmful. He’s known enough people in his line of work that will lie about every last thing just to get ahead, and it leaves an awful taste in his mouth; how would he really be able to serve anyone if he insisted on keeping the truth from them?

All this to say… he holds his tongue when Mark and Celine announce their engagement.

It’s not really a lie. If he doesn’t say he thinks they’re a bit too volatile to make a good match, well, that’s discretion. He doesn’t have to say that Celine is willful and Mark is self-absorbed; he doesn’t have to say that when Celine’s need for independence clashes with Mark’s need for attention, it’ll end in tears-- or, at least, a big fight.

He can think it, but not say it, and it’s not a lie. Even if it doesn’t feel quite right.

So, he gives them his best smile over the dining table. “I never expected-- at least, not so soon. Congratulations.”

“Well, it was some time coming,” Celine replies, glancing at Mark. He’s beaming, holding her hand on the tablecloth; she, herself, smiles, a soft thing so unlike her, but not unwelcome. “We thought it’d be best before Mark signs his new contract.”

“They can’t enforce any bachelor clauses should I be married first. Besides,” Mark continues, “I didn’t want to wait any longer. We’ve known each other forever--”

“And goodness knows everyone’s been talking about it forever,” Damien finishes for them, discomfited by their affection. He doesn’t dislike affection, per se, but he’s certainly not used to it; not from his parents, and not from Celine and Mark. “Well, I’m happy for you. Have you told anyone else?”

Celine gives a dry chuckle. “No, not quite yet. You’re one of the least likely to make any sort of scene of the issue. Father will be apoplectic, and Wil… you know how he gets about celebrations.”

Yes, indeed-- Damien can party, but Wil can give him a definite run for his money. “I would imagine you’d want to build up to such a thing,” he laughs. “You won’t get much in the same vein from our local legal eagle, but they’ll be sure to gift you flowers. They’re a mite too busy for a party right now, anyway.”

“A shame.” Mark’s watching him, a stare oddly like Celine’s yet tempered with his own gleeful grin. “I’m sure you’d love to bring them along to our engagement dinner.”

They’ve been together far too long. Heat rises in his face, but he’s put far too much effort into learning how to ignore Mark’s jabs to give up and show it now. “They’re your friend as well as mine,” he replies, coolly. “Surely it’d be uncouth to relegate them to simply being a plus one.”

“It might tear them away from all that work. Should you be the one to invite them, that is,” Celine says. She’s less outwardly gleeful than Mark is, her smile restrained to only the corners of her lips rising, but her eyes shine above her glass of water. “For us, perhaps not, but for you, little brother…”

It’s a bit low-- and a bit rich-- for her to trot out that old line, considering she’s barely a few minutes older, but he takes a breath. No more rising to the bait. “Well, I’m honored to be the first to know, at any rate. You…”

He looks between them, just for a moment. Hands clasped, adoration in their eyes-- the whole picture looks perfect, a handsome and well-matched couple. In his gut, however, he feels something deeper. Something festering far beneath the facade, so deep that even Mark and Celine haven’t noticed it yet. He’s not an exceptionally anxious man, but it feels, already, that it will end in disaster.

How could he say so, though? They’re simply too happy.

“You’ll be very happy together,” he says, instead, and gives no more thought to his misgivings.

The thoughts hardly bother him at all again-- at least, until the wedding takes place.

Or, rather, they begin to stir as he checks his mail one day. Among a few different correspondences, a bill for services or two, is a deep scarlet envelope; it’s far finer paper than the rest in the pile, and fine penmanship loops out his name across the front, a black stain on blood red.

He knows before he even opens it that it’ll be a save the date, but his foresight doesn’t spare him any discomfort as he opens it up. In fact, it only grows deeper as he reads down the cream cardstock, the same neat handwriting giving out the address and date.

The date, right above the RSVP. Not even two months from today, hardly four from their engagement dinner.

They’re going too fast, he thinks, sliding the invitation back whence it came, stomach twisting. They’d said as much, hoping to get in front of Mark’s new contract, but he hadn’t expected it to be this fast. Barely a year ago, they weren’t even going together, not a flirtation in sight that couldn’t be chalked up to friendly teasing, and now…

Could it be that they’re aiming to be... honorable?

As the thought comes, a laugh bubbles up with it, half hysterical and half nauseous. Reckless as both of them could be, Celine and Mark both were too intelligent, too calculating, to be careless. Besides, if Celine ever found that she were with child…

No. She’d never allow it, not once, and being honorable to spare her parents the shame was something she would never do.

Could it be that they’re simply that in love?

… Yes, and little exists to discredit that theory, if he looks back. No news of any fights, of any grievances, and any time he sees them both together--

Well, it’s like they always like to call him. They’re moony over each other, in the way all new couples are-- at least, Mark is traditionally moony and Celine her own, more subdued brand, but moony nonetheless.

He could refuse to show, out of principle, or go to either of them with his misgivings, tell another friend so he has backup when he tries to call it all off, but he can’t. Wrong as it feels, perhaps he’s the wrong one; it isn’t even his relationship, so how could he possibly have a say?

He sends in his RSVP, and tries to ignore his discomfort, even when he holds his sister’s arm and steps out onto the runner.

( “Father isn’t coming,” she’d said, the very morning of the ceremony, bustling here and there. “So you’ll be walking me down the aisle.”

He stood in the entryway, dumbfounded. “I can’t say I expected a promotion from honored guest,” he manages, working around his already-prepared script. “I just came in to wish you the best.”

“Well, congratulations on the promotion.” She gave him a considering stare. “Your bowtie is a bit crooked. I don’t much like the tradition, but I want you to do it. I would even if he did want to come.”

He couldn’t help a grin. “I guess the red dress was pushing the more conservative guests a bit too much, then?”

“On the nose.” She finally gave him a smile of her own. “Between that and the alcohol and the jazz, someone’s going to leave on a stretcher, anyway.”)

So, he walks her down, arm in arm, towards Mark’s smiling face. Where what could have been his place in the wedding party, Wil stands in his best; he’s considerably less enthused, eyes only for Celine, his small smile edged bittersweet. Just as it soothes his aching stomach, the thought of someone else with misgivings reinforces the doubt.

He ought to say something. He’ll have a chance to, gauche as it may be to interrupt the ceremony; there’s a line in the proceedings specifically for that.

“You look about as nervous as I feel,” Mark quips when Damien takes his hand to shake, leaning in to keep the rest of the congregation from hearing. “Did something happen before the ceremony?”

His eyes drift over to their mutual friend, not in the wedding party but seated on a decorated white bench, eyes shining even as they fidget in place; Damien shakes his head. “What? No, sorry. Celine just sprung this role on me, I wasn’t really prepared.”

Not a lie, but hardly the whole truth. Still, Mark gives his hand another firm shake, clapping him on the shoulder. “Good on you for stepping up, anyway. Not that she’d give you much choice,” he laughs.

Damien echoes the laugh, managing not to flinch when it rings hollow to his own ears, and gives Celine’s arm over to him. She shoots him a questioning look, but he waves it off with something a bit more confident before retreating back to his seat.

Mark sounds flowery in his vows, a typical thespian, and Celine remains curt, and no one else seems to care-- or even notice-- that they don’t really match.

No one except himself, and Wil, but once drink and music got involved, the concern faded from his features, lost in a whirl of light and laughter amongst the other partygoers.

It’s been too often for him to discredit it, so it remains, doubt swimming in the pit of his stomach every time he hears mention of his sister and brother -in-law. Little even happens between them for a couple years, just the newness of their honeymoon stories, helping them move into Mark’s towering manor, settling into a life together.

When he gets a call in the late evening hours, the only shocking thing is that it’s Mark on the other end and not his sister.

“Mark? To what do I owe the pleasure at…” He looks to the looming grandfather clock nearby, ticking away. “… Nine-thirty?”

“Celine took off,” comes Mark’s answer, tinged with lingering heat. “We had… some words.”

As he’d always imagined they would. Damien bites back a sigh. “I see… I’m surprised you called me, though, considering. Aren’t you worried I’ll take her side?”

“It’s a risk, but you’re level headed. Wil isn’t, and you’re closer to it than our other acquaintances-- besides, you’re fun to drink with.”

Drink at a party, perhaps, but drowning sorrows is an entirely different experience, and not one he’s particularly knowledgeable of. Still, if a friend is asking for his company… “I suppose, if only for a bit. I do have to be at the office tomorrow.”

“A hangover has never stopped you.” He hangs up right after, but the slight smile in his voice worked well enough to ease his worries.

Mark’s in the den when he arrives, ushered in by Benjamin. Mark keeps a neat appearance as much as he can, and remains neat for the most part, but his hair sticks up oddly, anger in the tight lines around his face. In one hand, a glass of brown alcohol sloshes, half-full; the suspected culprit, one of Damien’s experiments, sits mostly-empty on the coffee table before him.

“I hope that wasn’t full at the start of the night,” Damien comments lightly as Benjamin steps away with his coat.

“It wasn’t. I’m not that out of sorts.” Mark sits up a bit, smoothing back his hair with a hand. “I took the time to make a drink, actually. I brought that over for you.”

As Damien approaches, sinking into the couch cushions, he notes the glass once more-- indeed, it holds a sliver of lemon peel, the slight scent of something green, herbaceous. “I appreciate the thought. So… what happened?”

Mark scoffs, shaking his head. “It was hardly anything. I proposed a vacation for the both of us after my new feature wraps, but she wants to go off somewhere in the middle of the woods! I could take her anywhere, give her anything, and still she wants the middle of nowhere.”

“I see…” Damien takes the time fixing his own glass to properly construct his response. “Well… you know how Celine is. She likes to follow her own path-- whether or not we understand it, ourselves.”

“I know that,” Mark replies waspishly, “but I thought once we married she’d be more interested in time together. She only just returned from a trip like that. I’m happy to have a little time apart, but…”

He takes a long drink. Once he swallows, he turns to Damien, eyes pained. “Do you think… do you think we were a mistake? That it was never going to be…?”

It’s the best chance he’ll ever get to speak his mind, right in front of him. A direct question from someone wanting the truth.

When the truth would destroy a marriage and ruin two good reputations in the process, not to mention break their hearts. Could he really be so cruel?

His stomach churns around the alcohol in his stomach, and he must look away from Mark. Hopefully, it only looks like he’s choosing his words. “No, no, I don’t… I think you’re strong personalities, yes, but I don’t think it’s always going to be… I think you’ll both be alright. Just give her space, and you’ll have your time together, too.”

(He regrets it so much later on, after everything. He should have told him the truth, should have been honest from the start about it. Maybe it would have spared everyone the pain and death and misery.

At the time, though, Mark’s relieved smile felt like the right outcome.)

2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

10ml/2 barspoons absinthe, to rinse the glass

lemon peel, to garnish

Stir all ingredients (save the absinthe) in a mixing glass with ice. Rinse a chilled rocks glass with the absinthe. Strain the drink into the glass and add the twist of lemon.

A complex creation, an acquired taste-- strong and almost hallucinogenic, but remarkably similar to the Perfect Manhattan. As long as you don’t look too close. Best to come clean about the ingredients-- one wouldn’t want a tragic outcome later.

I am eternally bound to Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

I like all games but have faves.

Dragon Age 2 is my forever fave in DA because I cannot get lost in the small, repetitive maps. Also nobody can hold a candle to the Arishok. Third Act? What is this third act you're talking about? Second place goes to Dargon Age Origins (Sten my beloved, why were you not romanceable?) and Inquisition is my least fave because it is a uselessly open world clogged with so many side quests they drown out the main plot line. Curious what DA Veilguard will bring and which unromanceable character will break my heart.

Mass Effect 3 is my fave of that franchise. I played it so often I now must play Insanity or get bored. I love how things come together from all three games and can headcanon the ending away. 🥰 ME2 is second place and ME Andromeda and ME share 4th. ME is a game like none I ever played. I defies my ability to categorise and I love playing it. MEA was the first game ever where I could romance somebody I wanted. 🥳

Sometimes I play a spot of Dishonored or some point&click games.

1. have fun with it NO MATTER WHAT. that needs to be your top priority. if you are not having fun then stop what youre doing RIGHT NOW and go edit something thats more fun for you.

2. dont be afraid to take insp from other editors!! obviously dont directly copy anything or steal, but let yourself be inspired by the things other people make and find a way to incorporate elements of stuff you like into your own work. it'll make your edits better i prommy (and if you do take heavy insp for something, @ the editor whos work inspired you! im sure it'll make their day!!)

3. notes and followers mean nothing, do not let it dictate your worth as an editor. sometimes a post blows up and you get a bajillion notes. sometimes you make an edit youre really proud of and it doesnt get any. it can be demotivating to get little to no interaction, and its enticing to want lots of notes and followers, but i find that the best route to take is to just ignore them completely. take satisfaction in your own artistic skill, not in how many notes you get. it'll make you happier in the long run
