An idea - maybe Damijon?
Just some Jon and Damian stuff
-----
Jon: Dami I think we'll be stuck here forever, isn't it-
Damian: Terrible
Jon: Ter- I uhh terrible yeah terrible....
Damian: it'll get cold at night....let me cut you open and sleep inside of you for warmth the most important should survive.
Jon: isn't it supposed to be a deer
Damian:......
Jon:....sorry you can cut me open :(
Damian: that's what I thought.
----
Damian: I don't know why you were okay just waiting with me when that spacecraft almost crashed, you have superpowers why didn't you just fly away
Jon: I didn't know how to fly!
Damian: it's easy you just think about flying and you do it!
Jon:how do you know you never even flew!
Damian: .... don't you speak like that to me.
-----
Jon: I don't think your dad likes me that much
Damian: oh please Jonathan on bad days he rarely even likes me, Father hating you isn't that important.
Jon: you say that like he isn't the next person after Lex Luther who has the biggest supply of kryptonite.
-----
Damian: how does this keep happening? I leave you alone for less than 5 minutes and you got yourself kidnapped
Jon: it ain't my fault I'm a good kidnapped victim!
Damian:....that isn't a good thing!
----
Damian definitely has a bunch of recorders and trackers placed on Jon and some in his room, like imagine Damian is on patrol checking out the cameras seeing Jon being stupid.
Damian: Jon don't you dare do that!
Jon:....God? Is that you? You sound exactly like Damian.
Imagine Damian can talk through the camera and Jon just looks up at it completely shocked like when pets hear their owners talking through their petcams.

Hi Sam! I've just adopted two baby orangies that I'm maybe gonna name Lucy and Mina. It's been 20 years since I've had baby kitties and I'm reluctant to leave them alone without supervision. Can you share what kind of camera/software set-up you have for the cryptids? What kind of security do you have on the feed? How did you decide where to point the camera? How many cameras/what brand did you choose to go with?
Thank you for considering sharing your cryptid webcam knowledge and here's a pic of my baby girls!!
[ID: Two extremely fluffy and adorable kittens, with long shaggy orange striped fur, are lying together in a cat hammock, cuddled up and sleepy.]
Aw, babies! Great names btw :D I hated leaving my cryptids that first day I had to go back to work.
I've gone through a couple of iterations of the home webcams; the first ones I bought were some company that I think has since gone out of business, and they were a bit of a struggle anyway since it was an Italian company selling mostly to Japan, and nothing was in English :D Their app was...subpar.
Currently I have three Kasa brand webcams and I really like them. They can be slightly temperamental to set up, especially if you don't have really strong internet; it used to be I could basically only have two of them operational at any given time because my internet was too weak to sustain the third, but we got new internet in the building a few months ago and suddenly the problems went away :D I wish that it was possible to access them from a webpage as well as the app, but I can't complain too much -- otherwise I've been very pleased with them.
Mine (similar to this, I think a slightly earlier model) can turn almost completely around; they have night-vision too, which I like. I started out just having one in the living room, but when I'm not there the cats often stay in other areas of the house, so I put one in the hallway and eventually the bedroom -- the goal was to put cameras where I knew my cats would be, so I could look in on them and actually see them. You'll get a sense, using the cameras or even just living with your kits for a while, of where they like to be when you aren't there.
Dearborn will often come when called to a camera, but Polk completely ignores them. If you want to interact with your cats you may want to buy one of the special petcam versions that have controllable laser pointers and treat dispensers, but mine don't like treats so I went with pure camera ability.
There's no real security on them other than whatever's on them natively, but I really only have them on when I'm traveling. They have a "privacy" mode where you can physically see that they've been switched off, there's a little light that is always on when they're on. But also like. If some hacker really wants so badly to see a fortysomething man talking to his cats, whatever, I hope they have fun. :D I assume there are extra security measures that can be put into place, but they'd probably involve the wifi rather than the cameras.
But yeah -- the Kasa cams are reasonably high-def, have sound and a speaker, have night-vision and are pretty maneuverable; can recommend.

Finally in the mood to try a new thing so after seeing you laud it a ton I'm watching DnD Court and I just...need somewhere to scream about the most recent one real quick: 1. I feel for the one guy whose party member constantly does pet cams. My party has members that'll do it, and I don't wanna be a buzzkill, but man...I'm here to play dnd. We can do petcams while we're just hanging out in voice/video chats. 2. I don't even know how to approach ILikeChicken's quandary. Like, OH MY GOD that must be SO AWKWARD
OK so re: 1 I said this in the tags but I don't mind, personally, seeing people's pets on the camera when I play D&D, but everyone I've played with (which includes both dog and cat owners) has been like, normal about it. They mute if their pet is being loud (or, in the case of my sister, who was my DM and who has a very vocal dog, try to distract said pets with various toys) and apologize if they need to take a whining dog out. Also they do not say doggo/pupper/kitteh and they CERTAINLY do not say hecking. Like, it's always very clearly "I am playing D&D, and my pet, who thinks they are the center of attention in my life, will sometimes do distracting things in the background or try to take some dice, but my focus is D&D while also ensuring my cat doesn't knock over a lamp." and not "LOOK AT MY DOG". So yes, those particular players are wrong. Have a separate petcam time!
2. I'm with Murph and Aabria. They have to tell their girlfriend everything and also WHY DID YOU KEEP BEING FRIENDS WITH THIS PERSON OH MY GOD.
#answered#Anonymous#for real everyone watch this it's SO GOOD#emily picked the questions and she was like anyway it's drama time.

I had the worst nightmare last night. As you all know, I recently made the choice to end Zivas suffering and offer her a peaceful and painless death. Last night, I dreamed I watched Spitfire die on my petcam I have in her cage while I was at a different location. I watched her heart stop, unable to do anything. It broke my heart. I woke up sobbing and had to check on her.
She’s currently decided that with the cooler weather this week; it’s now time for the winter sleeps. So good night mom I’ll see you in the spring, and I hate it. I know it’s natural, and something she can do safely, but, after losing Ziva, it’s hard to watch. Considering the first signs Ziva showed of being sick, mimicked her behaviors of what she does when she gets ready for the winter sleeps, so I can’t help but get paranoid about Spitfire going down.
On a happier note, it means that I can finish planting all her plants and not have her eat them with in a week! I figured out if I want it to survive Spitfire, it has to be in a pot, or well established.
The joke still is when she wakes up, she will awake as Godzilla!

i turned an old phone into a petcam so i can see what my cat is up to while im at work
when she goes to the litter boxes she stands between the two and looks at them and is seemingly deciding which one to use, its so cute
and shes just like me
if she gets up to eat she uses the opportunity to go to the toilet and use her scratching board
and what i didnt know is that she sometimes actually jumps out from the side of her litter box and not the entry!
the app im using is alfredcamera, you have a livestream of what its recording and it gives you notification if it registers movement. and you can rewatch what has been recorded. though you need premium to save it or smth, idk. pretty cool.
when i first got her i was worried shed be crying all day long while i was at work, but now i know for sure

If you want a webcam to make Skype calls, chat with colleagues on Zoom or Slack, or simply catch up with friends via WhatsApp, consider just downloading the relevant iPhone app instead. These apps are purpose-built for a mobile experience, so they work great on the small screen.
Mobile phones have become ubiquitous in today’s society and it’s not surprising to know that nine-in-ten American adults have a cellphone. By the end of 2020, there will be 6.1 billion smartphone users in the world. That means 70% of the entire human population on earth will have the means to be connected to the internet anytime, anywhere.
The best camera phone is the Huawei P40 Pro.The quad-lens array on the back of Huawei’s flagship is simply the best you can find right now, and shows what a high-quality, versatile camera module.

Many of us are now at the point where we're trading in old smartphones for new. The big question is often, what to do with the old one?
Possible solutions include leaving it in a drawer; trading it in; downloading maps and creating a dedicated in-car GPS navigator (Google Maps are now downloadable, so you won't need an expensive mobile connection because you can update while at home on WiFi); or turning it into a free webcam.
We'll look at some more solutions in the future, but for now, the last of these is a nice option.
See update published Apr 2, 2020: How to Turn an Old Android Device Into a Cool, Useful Gadget
Turning an old Android phone into a webcam -- or weathercam, baby monitor, petcam, nannycam -- and streaming the image over a network is fun project, and accomplished with an existing WiFi connection.
Here's how to go about it.
Step 1: Verify the phone's network functions
Open the Settings drawer on the retired phone's Home page and browse to Wireless and Networks. Select Turn on WiFi.
The phone will obtain an IP address and connect if it is configured for your home network. If it won't connect, open WiFi Settings -- it's in the same area -- and choose Add WiFi network.
Then enter the network details like the network name -- called SSID -- and password. It's the same information you use to connect a laptop to the network.
Test the connection by browsing to any Web page.
Step 2: Download a webcam app
Browse to the Google Play store and look for a suitable camera streaming app. I've been using Pavel Khlebovich's free IP Webcam, with which I have had success.
Click on the install button and allow the app to install to your device.
Press Start Server or similar within the app and the camera video image will appear on the phone.
Step 3: Configure the viewing medium
Open a Chrome or Firefox browser on a laptop that's connected to the same router as the phone. You configured this network on the phone in the earlier step.
Tip: The laptop doesn't have to be on the same wireless network, just the same network.
Enter the IP address of the phone into the browser address bar.
Tip: IP Webcam will tell you what the address is if you click on the 'How Do I Connect' button within the app. It will be something like 'http://192.168.1.3:8080.' The ':8080' is related to a port -- the phone is serving the image and audio much like a website does.
Press the laptop's Enter button and the phone's webcam server options page will display on the laptop.
Choose Use Browser Built-In Viewer, or similar, if you're using Chrome or Firefox -- they're tested to work.
Alternatively, choose Use Java Browser Plugin and agree to any security prompts if you're using another browser. You may have to install Java Plug-in from the resulting link.
Tip: It can take a moment for the video to display.
Step 4: Locate the phone
Point the camera at the subject using the on-screen image for placement -- at a dog run or driveway, for instance. Window panes make good weatherproofing -- place the camera inside pointing out of the window.
Tip: Choose a location near a power outlet.
Neat interior placement results can be accomplished with failed automotive phone cradles -- the kind that are supposed to attach to the windshield and hold your phone while driving work well for this purpose, if not for their intended one. They often come with double-sided tape. Just make sure the cradle doesn't obscure the phone's camera hole.
Tip: Don't point the camera into the sun. Try to obtain light from behind for best images.
Step 5: Set up power functions

Connect a USB power cable from phone to a wall outlet. Two-year-old and older phones can suffer from battery degradation -- the battery holds less charge and expires sooner -- so don't rely on battery power for long-term camera use.

Step 6: Configure the audio medium
Select Click Here to Play Audio with Browser, and the audio will commence. Perform this step last to avoid potential feedback, which can occur if the phone and laptop are close to each other.
Step 7: Take a look
View the resulting video and audio on the laptop.

To help with the anxiety thing- I used to double back to see if I locked the front door. I finally got a 30$ webcam on Amazon (marketed as a petcam) and have it mounted in the living room, pointing at the door. Now I can just use my phone app to look at the locks.
HOLY SHIT THAT IS BRILLIANT. THANK YOU.Luckily for me, my alarm requires all windows and doors to be shut before it can be armed, and once it’s armed, I have a minute to scamper before I set off the motion sensors, so I am at least comfortable leaving the house knowing I have things secured. The problem is that I have had a habit of leaving the garage door open when I drive away.Oops. *face in hands*But now I can just mount one in the garage. Magic. Q vQ
