Love that we not only got that being turned into a vampire by Nandor is an honor since he's a legendary vampire, but also that Nandor turning Guillermo would have been "a big get" cause he would have turned a Van Helsing. Like they would have been perfect for each other. Now I'm really wondering how this is all going to end up for them, cause it can't be good and I am gonna suffer.

"I am a warrior, but maybe this is not my fight."
[WWDITS S6EP5 SPOILERS!!!]
Just finished episode 5, and you can bet your ass I have some shit to say. As it is something I've already discussed and like analyzing, I'll go on about the Nandermo situation for now, but I'd like to talk about other topics too, maybe in another post.
This episode was a rollercoaster, and I think all my worries are now at peace (at least the one regarding Nandor's growth). I imagined that Nandor was just about to throw another ginormous tantrum about the stupidest of the things, but I was positively surprised when I saw his attitude towards the situation: he honestly had valid reasons to be angry, reasons I didn't even think about at first, but they came to me as a slap in the face as Nandor spoke, as I can imagine they did to Guillermo. Obviously, the solution wasn't war, but I can see why he would react like this. He was a warrior, after all.
"You live a thousand years, and you think you know what betrail is, what horror is, but then, in a single instant, you find out you haven't the slightest idea of what men is truly capable of."
This is what he says. And although it seems so extravagant and exaggerated, his pain is real. He was so sure about Guillermo's loyalty, not because he expected it as a Master, but as a friend, as a companion, given that he has always been loyal to him: "I may have done a lot of things, Guillermo, but I never got rid of you". He's right when he says so, and honestly I, as probably Guillermo, never really realized how much has probably costed Nandor to protect Guillermo from the vampire world, how much he risked to keep him safe. He really has done a lot for him, and he also finally addresses his mistakes.
Nandor felt betrayed and this time I can do nothing but agree with him. Guillermo tries to justify it all saying that it's the "human world way", but Nandor was human too, and the type of loyalty he shared with his comrades he expected from Guillermo: this makes me understand how he really perceives him in his life. He feels bonded to him, and reserved fidelity to him; not always respect or recognition, but fidelity yes.
Still, I agree with Guillermo about some points. At first he sees the whole thing as another big absurdity came out from Nandor's neediness and I can't blame him for having been prejudiced (i was myself), but then he understands how hurt Nandor felt.
Although, as he said in the previous episode, maybe this thing between the two of them isn't meant to be: he now has a new purpose, and he invites Nandor to start healing and find a new one too.
"I am a warrior, but maybe this is not my fight" it's with this statement that Nandor finally aknowledges that he needs to let it go too. The relationship between them started with all the worst moves, and it can't go any further without continuing to inflict wounds to both of them.
When Nandor tells Guillermo to go away using Alexa, these lyrics are used: "get out, right now, it's the end of you and me", and I'm starting to think it could really be like it says. Maybe Nandermo will never happen, and maybe it's for the best. Still I keep my hope close, and I wish that all of this was just a big demolition to build a new foundation for a stronger and healthier relationship, but I won't bet too much on it.
This episode was a huge statement fr. I feel like I've left out so many details, but I guess if something comes up to my mind, I'll just post about it later. Also, I wrote all of this as fast as I could, so please forgive me if you've encountered some errors.
"When one is burned, one feels most at home among the ashes" said Nandor, and I think I'll do the same and go cry about this while re-watching the whole series 😔.

I dunno, maybe these last few seasons are really getting to me because I am in such a transitional period in my life, and I feel so lost because I do feel like I should know where I'm going or what I'm doing, but I don't, and even when I try it does just become trial and error, and that's frustrating.
But it's like... maybe because of that, I don't really understand how people aren't grasping at what is happening to these characters? Obviously we all interpret things differently, but there is just like... a disconnect that has been bothering me. Like, they all have had their lives turned upside down from the time we've spent with them, and they are desperately trying to land on their feet while also being so caught up in their hundreds of years of life to not really understand how to land at all. They keep fumbling because they were so stuck in their ways that anything new is terrifying to them.
This got kind of long, but just...
This is especially true with Nadja? She has always felt the need to prove herself-- even her former ghost was disappointed that she hadn't done anything, so of course when your past self is disappointed in where you are, that's going to fuck you up. She spent the entirety of season 3 trying to build up the vampiric council, only for it to be incredibly frustrating-- but then it gave her an opportunity! So she took it! And then quickly realized, oh wait, actually I might have been frustrated because none of this is actually rewarding for me, so I'm going to do the complete opposite of this and do what I want. And she had a great time with the nightclub, until it failed, which is why the fact that it failed hit her much harder than anything else. This had been her thing that she started by throwing away what everyone told her was a great honor of an opportunity, and it backfired.
So now? She's lost, and found comfort in the one thing that she has clung to for all these years: her heritage. Nadja is incredibly connected to her former life, and has so much sentimentality about it that of course it was second nature to adopt this family. She lost her family, and this new one accepts her as she is, and isn't asking her to prove herself, because all that matters is that she is enjoying her life. Even when they didn't like Laszlo at first, they didn't blame Nadja-- they just hated Laszlo. And in the end, they (of course, by sheer luck) loved Laszlo, because while they love Nadja for who she is, what Nadja chooses to love (a dumbass with a zest for life and a drive to be honest no matter the cost) ends up being just as important. Nadja is both who she has always been and who she will always choose to love, and I hope she realizes this season that that's enough.
And the others are all going through this self-discovery too! Laszlo, who started out as this uncaring asshole who turned his nose up at humanity, is slowly reconnecting to the humanity he was always close to in the first place. His best friend is a human he would do anything for. He can put aside any differences he has with Guillermo because deep down he understands that Guillermo is important to him. He quite literally witnessed life flashing before his eyes as he took the time to raise Colin, only for it all to instantly be gone. He's gotten so caught up in his eternal life that he forgot that life isn't just some foreign concept anymore, and is always happening, to and around him, and always would pass him by if he wasn't careful to get out there and experience it again.
And then there's Nandor, whose entire character arc has been about loss. He lost his home, he lost his former glory, he lost love after love. His arc this season isn't a new one; in fact, it's probably the end of his. All Nandor has ever wanted was to be respected, and cared for, and loved, and treated like his thoughts and feelings mattered. And no one has ever done that for him like Guillermo has. Nandor has lived so many lives and met so many people, and he understands how important those lives are, but they have always passed him by as they have Laszlo. Nandor has never had a constant until now, and now he is realizing that, oh shit, he has that thing, and that thing is slipping away. Guillermo will be the one thing that makes or breaks Nandor, but either way, he is coming out of this permanently changed because of it.
Even Colin and the Guide are on self discovery, albeit more direct and sudden compared to the others' slowburn. Colin might have his old memories, but he is notably different. He doesn't feed off the others as he once did, and instead reserves it for strangers. He doesn't want to be told what to do for his campaign, despite the fact that it would ultimately benefit him, so he ducks out. He shows genuine care and emotion towards Nadja and Nadjita, and again towards Evie. He's hesitant in a way old Colin never was, because old Colin wasn't raised by Laszlo. Something in there has changed.
And the poor Guide! She was quite literally enslaved to work for hundreds of years, to the point where it wasn't until she crossed paths with the gang that she even realized how much she was missing outside of work. She craves something other than a purpose for the first time in years, and that thing is genuine companionship and love.
And... gosh, the Guillermo of it all. "Nothing ever changes" because from the beginning, Guillermo's ONLY goal was to be a vampire. He preached family, and he does genuinely consider the others his, but his core being was always so invested in this life he'd built up for himself. So, of course, the fact that it wasn't happening was his breaking point, and he dove after it, immediately learning the consequences. He realizes that, even though his transition is fucked up, there is no difference between human life and vampire life-- and he hates that. He hates it because he, for 13+ years, has been so selfishly absorbed in this power trip he craved that he has failed to see that things have changed-- everything has changed because he existed as who he was, drive and all. The entire house has morphed because Guillermo was there to be that tether to their former lives, but now while they are so caught up in the joy of life, Guillermo is swinging the other way right past them.
And again, maybe it's because I relate so deeply, or maybe it's just because I'm reading too far into things, but I just... I dunno. I feel like these characters are so complex, and lately it feels like people are trying to keep them in the boxes they've created for them. Just my two cents, I guess.

[DRUNKEN] After a few too many drinks, the sender leans on the receiver and slurs, "You know I've always loved you, right?" (but like also canon when Guillermo is hopped up on vet drugs)
Accidental Declaration of Love starters ;; @himbohotel
It had been a long night, especially for Guillermo. One second he had been a vampire, the next he was back to being a human. He was unable to understand how that might feel, it was a feeling that would remain forever unknown to him. He could only imagine that what he had just gone through hadn't been easy, and therefore, he could not blame him for going out of his way to drink more than he probably thought was able to handle.
He was left alone to manage the situation at hand by himself after everyone else came to the conclusion that this was his problem and his responsibility, but honestly? he would have done it even if he hadn't been told to do so (after all, who knew for how much longer Guillermo was going to stick around).
He sat him on his bed, not without first eyeing the remains of the footlocker that he had gotten him for the day he believed to be his birthday. In an attempt to have him feel more comfortable, he got on one knee to remove Guillermo's shoes, but stopped when the other got closer to him and uttered those words. 'You know I've always loved you, right?' -- He froze, as a series of emotions ran through him. It was a mix of disbelief, happiness, but mostly heartache.
How ironic. Now that Guillermo didn't want to be a vampire, now that he didn't want the gift of immortal life, these words meant more than what they could have meant just a couple of nights ago. Before he would have believed that such confession had only been made to make sure that he would turn him into the vampire Guillermo thought he wanted to be, but now? what could he gain with it? nothing, and yet, he knew it would be better for him as well as for Guillermo to not give these words the importance that they deserved. No, better said, he could not let him know how such words had impacted him and will continue to do so for the upcoming years. It was better to not pay mind to them and move on. He had already kept him here for thirteen years, stealing and taking from him whatever opportunities of having a life outside of the walls of this residence he could have had. He could have continued to do so, because the truth was that, well, in his own strange and selfish way, he loved him too.
"Del be del râh dâre."
Unfortunately, there was nothing for him in this house now, and nothing for Nandor himself in the future.
There was a long silence, that was broken with a sigh. "You do now, but hopefully soon enough you won't." His eyes never met his as he put his hands on his shoulders and slowly pushed him away from him. "But... maybe in another place, another life, two, three, four hundred years down the road, when somehow we meet again, I don't know... we can make it work." How stupid his own words sounded as if this was even a possibility, but he could hope, couldn't he? even if it wasn't possible, even if it was meant to never happen, he could hope and dream. What else did he have left to do if not that?
In him, there was a new sensation of that loneliness that he had been feeling for the last 700 years taking a new shape. It felt heavier, making him feel in a way more empty, it was the feeling of what it could have been if things had worked out for them. -- Finally, his eyes looked at him. He wanted to touch him, hug him, and put his hand on his cheek to have him look at him. Yes, he even thought of kissing him, but just like he had fought these urges before, he did so this night again, limiting his actions to only removing his glasses to put them on top of the small fridge.
He stood up straight and hid his hands behind his back before taking a step back. "Now sleep. You're going to feel like shit tomorrow."

WWDITS SEASON 5 FINALE PREDICTIONS
Someone asked for bonkers predictions for tonight's episodes, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I doubt the curse of Apollo will strike me, but who knows?
- The Morrigan House is a ploy by Simon the Devious. The vamps obliviously blunder through traps meant to kill them, foiling their host's plan.
- The Guide has been intentionally sabotaging the vampires all season because the housemates destroyed her former way of life and the building she was in charge of. She could have forgiven them if they gave her a new purpose as their friend, but since they're ignoring her, she will become their nightmare instead. She previously hexed Nadja, tried to get Guillermo killed and threw shade at Laszlo's book organization to cause him to hyperfixate.
- Guillermo's been kidnapped but Nandor is too stupid to realize it and thinks he returned to Panera Bread. While he's gone, Nandor can't stop seeing Guillermo everwhere. That rat looks like Guillermo. That bird-frog looks like Guillermo...
- The vamps will comb every Panera Bread, and fortunately for them, Guillermo's kidnapper is dumb enough to keep him at a Panera Bread in Little Antipaxos. Nadja finds out from her diner friends.
- When Nandor finally finds out, everyone tries to take the blame for turning Guillermo. Like Spartacus style. Laszlo, Nadja and even Colin because he didn't want to feel left out. They then try to convince Nandor it was a communal turning of a communal familiar so no one needs to kill anyone else today, but Nandor doesn't believe them. Not because what they say is physically impossible on multiple levels, but because ...
- Guillermo cannot fully change because Nandor made a wish that Guillermo would never be a vampire yet will remain with Nandor. This leads to yet another emotionally cathartic fight between the two. Each accuses the other of using them. The fight only defuses when they see clips from the documentary of the other being mushy about them when they're not around.
- Nandor uses his last wish to make Guillermo a full vampire thus Nandor technically turned Guillermo and doesn't have to kill him. This can't be a completely happy ending so it's Nandor's turn to run away from things he'd rather not deal with, leaving Guillermo behind.
- Guillermo is confident he can track Nandor down. He's still a vampire hunter, after all, and Nandor isn't the brightest prey.
- Laszlo creates a couple of Guide-raven hybrids, so the Guide will always have company. Laszlo is happy his science has worked for once. He ignores the TV reports about the increasing number of Guillermo hybrid sightings around New York.
- Nadja is happy that no hex means she's free to be mean again. She and Dollie go on an insult bender.
- Derek used the money Guillermo paid him to bribe other vampires into talking him up, so now he's considered a cool and legendary vampire. Bonus points if a jealous Nandor is there to call him a fucking guy.

Holding Out
fandom: wwdits, Nandor x Guillermo
an: oh boy this idea hit me and i finally wrote it down. also first fic on this blog!! im def open to feedback, i want to get better, i just ask for kindness <3
Guillermo wasn’t one to ask too many questions about every escapade Nadja and Laszlo got up to, but the sitting room was almost destroyed. He looked in awe at the mess of cushions, books, torn paper, and akimbo furniture as Laszlo ushered the familiar towards the disaster.
“Be a good lad and tidy this up, eh Gizmo?” He drawled, patting Guillermo on the shoulder before sauntering upstairs. Guillermo groaned and got to work, adjusting the flipped couch and picking up debris from the broken side table.
It didn’t take him nearly as long as he thought it would and all he really had left to tackle at this point was the shelves of books and knickknacks artifacts. Quite a few had been knocked loose and he was putting them back where they belonged. A couple of the top shelves were just out of his reach so Guillermo used one of the tables to give himself a boost, he could feel it teetering under his weight from one of the legs being shorter than the rest (due to a separate incident). He leaned forward onto his tiptoes to place some sort of chalice back where it belonged when the table lurched and Guillermo could feel gravity working against him as he tumbled back and fell.
Guillermo anticipated the hardness of the floor but was met with a torso and was cradled by someone’s arms. He tilted his head up and saw the quizzical expression of Nandor.
“Nice catch, Master.” Guillermo said with a bashful smile.
Nandor scoffed, helping Guillermo down, “You must be more careful, Guillermo…” Guillermo brightened.
“If you die, who will iron my capes?”
Guillermo frowned. Moment over.
The familiar straightened his glasses as his Master looked him over. “Sorry. I’ve just got to put the rest of this back. Nadja and Laszlo really tore up the place.”
“So I heard.” Nandor said with a smirk that threatened to send a blush creeping over Guillermo’s cheeks. “Well, don’t let me keep you.” He continued, making a shooing motion toward his familiar.
Guillermo rolled his eyes before looking back at his makeshift step stool. “Actually Master, do you think you could give me a lift? It would make this a lot easier.”
Nandor looked aghast, “Now what would be the point of having a familiar if I have to do the work?”
“You’ve lifted me to fly plenty of times, this isn’t any more than that. I just need a boost.”
Nandor grumbled and let out a “fucking guy” under his breath as he reached for Guillermo.
Nandor’s touches were never gentle. He wasn’t rough with Guillermo, but his movements were usually pretty stiff. So it totally took Guillermo by surprise when he felt the vampire's hands latch on to his hips and curl his fingers for purchase. He yelped and Nandor immediately let go. The familiar instinctively wrapped his arms around his chest and took a step back, the back of his leg hitting the table. Nandor looked him over quickly, concern on his face. “Guillermo, I know you’re a weak little human but I didn’t think I grabbed that hard. Did I hurt you?”
Guillermo shook his head and batted away one of Nandor’s hands as he reached for the same spot. “No! No, sir. It’s just- I’m- It tickled, that’s all.” Nandors eyes snapped up to look into Guillermo’s, his look of concern morphing into a look of playfulness at the mention of the word.
“Tickled? Guillermo, have you been holding out on us?” He smirked, causing Guillermo to gulp and butterflies stir up in his stomach at the hunger in Nandor’s eyes.
What the vampires got up to in this house wasn’t a secret, and Guillermo had to clean up the little playroom they had plenty of times. And he couldn’t blame them, branching out and trying new things seemed normal for an immortal. One of the things they had fun with was tickling each other. Sometimes light and playful, other times for hours on end. Guillermo couldn’t deny his jealousy but he’d never ask to participate.
Standing here now with Nandor crowding into his space, Guillermo couldn’t help feeling a mixture of nervousness and excitement. “Y-you never asked.” He countered, a smile already tugging on the corner of his mouth.
Nandor 'tsked' and reached forward quicker than Guillermo anticipated and latched back on to his hips, squeezing gently, Guillermo barked out a surprised laugh before it teetered out into a stream of giggles as he wriggled from side to side, trying to disarm Nandor.
The vampire grinned, his fangs poking over his bottom lip. “Guillermo! I am barely touching you. Is this one of your bad spots, hm?” He squeezed at his familiar’s hips in rapid succession causing Guillermo’s laughter to jump up into a cackle and had him folding in on himself like a pill bug. Nandor used his momentum to gently toss Guillermo onto the couch and straddled him with one leg, using one hand to gather up Guillermo’s arms and pin them to the arm of the couch.
Guillermo caught his breath, giggles still slipping between his lips. His giddy smile didn’t disappear as Nandor loomed over him with a grin that made Guillermo’s heart flip and sink simultaneously.
“Where else are you ticklish?”

Part two on the Union of Maedhros please :)
Gladly! this will require a part three to be honest
Here I focused more in depth on Maedhros, Fingon, Bor and Ulfang. I'll do the participants from Doriath and Nargathrond as well as Húrin's people and the dwarves.
Here was part one!
I am also going to include a part about Ulfang's people as a part one of posts requested by an incredibly patient anon a long time ago. Let me know if you see this, Ulfang anon and then tell me what else I can cover for you!
As I said, part two will go into more background politics that each ally brings to the table, for better or for worse
As always let me know if there’s something specific you’d like me to address
Fingon: at the time of the Union of Maedhros, Fingon is the high king following the death of his father. Officially he’s the high king of the Noldor but the political and geographic boundaries are unclear. He holds only symbolic power in Gondolin for example and much of the Noldor of Nargothrond do not follow him. His kingship is dubious among even those he does not rule over. I do not think Fingon had the time or resources to do much in the way of diplomacy during his kingship. He maintained the alliances that he had but wasn't able to do much in the way of rekindling fallen alliances, forging new ones, or restoring connection and communication where there had been enmity.
Maedhros is the Lord of Himring and an esteemed commander on the frontline of Eastern Beleriand’s defense against Morgoth
The actions of Celegorm and Curufin certainly complicate things. Maedhros was still seen by many as the de facto leader of the Noldorin host that came over with Fëanor. This is both for better and worse. For better, he has some control over the Noldor in East Beleriand and can influence them, at least the ones who didn’t fully turn against him when he abdicated the throne or because of a mistrust of Angband survivors (while others of Fëanor’s original group are so loyal and so mistrusting of Fingolfin that, even hating Maedhros for the abdication, they still consider him their lord over any of Fingolfin’s line)
Anyways while few people blame him for what Celegorm and Curufin did, he’s still affected by it as those who are angriest with C & C now want even less to do with the Fëanorians and their allies
Then of course there's the mistrust some have for him for his being an ex prisoner. I have so many posts about that so I won't go into it too much here but always feel free to ask about it :)
Bor and his people have settled in Northeastern Beleriand around the spring where the river Celon is sourced, slightly south of Himring. They are largely removed from both other political conflicts between the elves and humans of Beleriand and have also been separated from others of their people in the East.
The people of Ulfang settle in Thargelion. When I say people of Ulfang I include him and his family as well as followers and those who share in a specific and distinct culture similar to how I say people of Hador to mean not just those who are blood related to Hador. The group that comes here is a small one a few hundred people though for the fifth battle they intend to bring a larger host
They were originally river people, relying on both the fertile soils and the bounty of the waters themselves. In this way their culture had much in common with some groups of Nandor and Avarin both in Beleriand and East. One of their most important water sources became contaminated and a number of their host fell ill or died. Many suspected Morgoth in this destruction and it was then some of their people moved West.
Settling on the banks of Gelion, part of their original ways of life can be restored.
Both of these hosts lend knowledge and aid in non military operations as well and agricultural trade benefits them and the elves equally. The people of Bor and Ulfang are able to offer information about what Morgoth has done East of the Ered Luin and among the Edain which is vital as their other human allies only have the stories of their ancestors’ interactions with Melkor rather than their own experience
The rest is under a cut just for length and rambling about meta stuff
Note: the writing of the Easterlings is obviously problematic. I go with the idea that most of the people of the East (that is, Edain who came West of the Ered Luin significantly later than the peoples of Marach, Bëor and the Haladin) as well as those who stayed East, were not overall evil or working for Morgoth. After all, they canonically suffered at his hand too
Out of those who were there were three categories; those who had been coerced or threatened which is probably the biggest category those who worked with men of the original houses who had gone over to the enemy first and a handful who just wanted power Note that none of these are unique to the Eastern people and some of the original groups of the Edain also fell to the Enemy (including in canon) for all three of these reasons
For The invasion of Dor-Lómin for example I use a combination of the canon story and the book of lost tales version where many of the key figures among the traitors were originally from Hithlum themselves (though in my imaginings, some had left years or even decades prior to the events of the Narn(Brodda for example)
Most of Ulfang’s people likely did not wish to follow Morgoth. They had suffered significant losses back home and had little interest in continuing the war but saw it necessary for their own survival. The allyship with Caranthir was not a hostile one but it was one out of necessity.
I think using a combination like this both takes away from the idea that the people of the east are uniquely corruptible or evil which is obviously extremely racist and also takes away intrigue to the plot

Nandermo isn't the only dysfunctional couple on the show, Sean/Charmaine is something as well
This post can be considered as a character analysis, even though Sean only has 40min of screen time and Charmaine barely 5'
This is just my own interpretation :
///
What makes a marriage last is obviously the communication, indeed the most concrete example in the show is Nadja/Laszlo (300 years baby)
Before the episode "Brain Scramblies", the marriage between Sean and Charmaine was already on the rocks
What I see as the main reason for the marital dysfunction is due to Sean's selfishness, irresponsibility, inability to communicate and frequent lying
-
When Charmaine asked Franky to return the 20$ from the pizza party, instead of supporting his wife who was clearly in the right, Sean preferred to side with his friend.
He clearly lacks trust in his wife.
-
After receiving Laszlo's money at the end of the episode, he makes another empty promise "I'm never, ever, ever, gonna do this again. I'm never gambling again, I'm a new man !"
In order to renew his vows of remarriage, he decided to go to Atlantic City, and promised that he would be "good this time"; which obviously wasn't the case (he went broke at the Casino)
And at the last second we see him bet absolutely everything on the "lucky number 12"
His behavior is obviously due to his gambling addiction, however he considers that it is long over "I used to have a big time gambling problem".
Fortunately, Charmaine appeared out of nowhere to probably yell at him.
Speaking of money, fully aware that he is already in financial trouble, Sean lends his bank card to Laszlo without thinking about the consequences of the gesture.
Charmaine trusted him to behave in moderation, if Laszlo hadn't been there to save the day, the situation in the couple would probably have gotten worse.
-
He has complete blind trust in his best friend, which is why they get along so well
Same example in the episode "Chamber of Judgement" , Sean tells his secret to Laszlo and not to his wife, who would be the first one concerned by this. "Even Charmaine doesn't even know..", at this point Charmaine may not even be aware that her husband went to court.
Sean is very open-minded and at the same time completely narrow-minded :
He started a pillow business without consulting his wife, and when he gets in trouble he blames others (his friends who didn't want to buy him pillows)
-
He fully supports the LGBT community, however the idea of selling a so-called man pillow to his wife is too much to bear.
This very gendered way of thinking is probably due to the education he received from his father.
It's not surprising that he married an extremely feminine woman, to fit the criteria of a heteronormative couple
Sean instead of making an effort to spend time with his wife and try to find common interests with her, does everything to run away from her.
"A long weekend away from the ladies"
This explains the fact that Sean and Charmaine were seen together in the show for only 5 minutes.
We can see a parallel with Nadja who wants to spend time only with women, but she has the excuse that she has been living with men for centuries.
At first glance Sean and Laszlo have nothing to do with each other and few traits in common but both make an effort to spend time with each other, to get to know each other.
Charmaine seems to be making an effort on her side, as she also watched Ocean Twelve with her husband and even learned a line from the movie.
At the time of his speech during the marriage of Nandor, one feels obviously that Sean projects his own couple towards the young re-married :
The relationship between Sean and Charmaine is co-dependent, Sean is aware that at any moment she can leave him "She's gonna leave me Laz !" but unconsciously he continues his abuse because he knows that deep down she will never leave.
"It's a long time to be with another person, you like her right now but..."
-
Sean is rarely aware of the sacrifices his wife makes and instead is harsh towards her.
During the wedding credits scene, she approaches a completely wiped out Sean on the floor "OMG Seanie... 🥺"
Sean responds with a simple "STFU."
And Charmaine replies "What's wrong with you ?!" (sis, you already know)
Charmaine is also relatively closed-minded, like when she blames Marwa (new in the neighborhood) for not knocking on the door and bringing cookies
The two of them (Sean & Charmaine) are really a pair, and they probably love each other to death
In the Brain Scramblies episode, his first reaction after seeing Charmaine on the porch (with his brain completely fried) is to fall in love all over again, and he didn't expect that such a beautiful woman would get married to him
(Nadja) "She's your wife."
(Sean) "A wish huh-"
Conclusion : To me they are as fucked up as Nandermo, Sean has self-destructive tendencies and deep inside he considers that he doesn't deserve Charmaine and that's why he does everything to screw up the marriage. (self-sabotage)
So now that he has conquered Charmaine, he doesn't make any effort (at the beginning of their relationship, when Charmaine's dog died, Sean brought her a bouquet of flowers every week)
-
If he doesn't open up to his wife, their relationship will just be superficial and tumultuous.

Ok, if you haven’t seen the new trailer for episode 3, go watch that. It’s on YouTube on the FX channel, and it’s only about 30 seconds.
Spoilers ahead:
So, Nandor says that he wants the Djinn to give him the world’s biggest penis to improve his relationship with his fiancée, and I think that’s REALLY telling.
It’s already obvious that Nandor is trying to find the perfect bride who will make all of his problems go away. I’ve seen a bunch of people point out that he basically wants his partner to have literally no flaws, and that Marwa isn’t necessarily his true love, she’s just the last one standing. If she really was his true love, he probably wouldn’t be interrupting her and asking the Djinn to change her appearance.
But I think Nandor’s perfectionism is going to go beyond micromanaging Marwa, and he’s going to start holding himself to impossible standards. Because if his relationship with Marwa isn’t working (which it probably won’t), he’s probably going to start blaming himself. It’s going to start out harmless, with silly stuff like “maybe my dick isn’t big enough”, and the Djinn is an easy solution to that, but I can see this going in a very dangerous direction very fast and I’m legitimately worried for Nandor. You could make the argument that Nandor was specifically insecure about his penis after the events in s3e9 when the other vampires were calling it average, and I can only imagine what other insecurities he’s going to blame for his failing relationship.
Anyway, I’m contractually obligated to put a Nandermo spin on this by pointing out that Guillermo was by Nandor’s side even at his worst, and he went out of his way to defend Nandor’s dick in that same episode where everyone was calling it disappointing

Idea for a wwdits episode
Another vampire who isn't Nandor offers to turn Guillermo, Nandor is furious blaming his feelings on "my familiar betrayed me. I swear I was gonna make him a vampire next week! Years of service...wasted. I of course am speaking of the service of being a good vampire to Guillermo. "
Guillermo @ camera in another room: "yeah I lied. I couldn't do it. It just didn't feel right.. Nandor has been good to me...despite not turning me into a vampire like he promised....but on my way home I passed a costume shop and *pops out fake fangs* I got the idea from Celeste....*pops fangs back in* I've been drinking cranberry juice for a week and no one seems to have noticed. I'm gonna ride this out as long as I can."
*cuts to a scene of everyone being interested in what he has to say or letting him play cards and generally being seen as an equal*
Nadja and Laszlo just thinks he smells weirdly human still and didn't want to be rude. And Nandor is too busy trying and failing to find a new "better" familiar to notice.
Collins Robinson deadpan to the camera: "yeah I've known for-gosh-what? Since day one probably? Its pretty obvious. His energy would feel off if he were a real vampire....I just want to see how much the others freak out when they realize they let a human trick them. *giggles* I kinda wanna switch out the cranberry juice for real blood and really get the ol' chaos ball rolling."

So apparently next week is the wedding episode, followed by “Pine Barrens”. The episode description for “Pine Barrens” reads: “Nandor and Laszlo air out their differences on a hunting trip at an isolated cabin …”. So what do you think will happen? Is Laszlo going to do something that ruins the wedding? Of course we all know Nandor is the reason the wedding will be ruined, but something has to create a conflict between Nandor and Laszlo. ???
I've written about this a bit before but...
I do think the two strongest options are either Nandor blaming Laszlo for the demise of his wedding or Nandor finally getting angry about Laszlo ruining his trip with Guillermo.
I have a feeling that the wedding is going to be an absolute train wreck. We haven't heard more than like five lines from Marwa in the entire series, and it's extremely obvious that Nandor doesn't particularly like being around her. She has to know that, she's a smart woman. She's even started to sound kind of put out about it.
If I had to choose an end for Marwa, it would be her waiting out Nandor using up the last of his wishes (which could easily happen, considering he's getting low and I can see him using a lot of them on the wedding) so she can leave without him poofing her. Then, once she's free, maybe she even gets custody of the Djinn herself? I think that would be an amazing ending for her. Then she can be anything she wants to be.
We all know that Nandor is 1000% to blame for how shitty his relationship with Marwa is, but we also know that he does tend to externalize blame. (Nandor's accusations of treachery during the trailer for next week makes me think that he's primed to blame someone else for whatever disaster is on its way, to be sure.) If Laszlo has any fuck-ups during the wedding, he could easily get blamed for it. We were also promised a full vampire wedding this season, so Laszlo and Nadja might even use the ruined wedding as an opportunity to renew their vows or something. I could see that pissing Nadja off.
I guess what has me unsure about that one is how Laszlo seems to be in response. Like he took a shot at Nandor's head in one of the trailers! That seems to imply that it's not just a one-way fight. So instead of asking what could piss Nandor off, maybe we should be asking what could anger Laszlo?
We could argue that Laszlo might simply be responding to Nandor's shittiness, but the thing is... we know how he responds to people being mad at him. He brushes it off or he runs away. The fact that he seems to be actively engaging in a fight with Nandor gives me pause. The only things that really seem to get under Laszlo's skin are issues with Nadja or perhaps Baby Colin, so maybe something to do with them...? That does make me wonder if it's the Guillermo thing finally coming to a head, because that would involve both of them.
It's unclear how much of what happened with Guillermo Nandor fully understands at this point, and it's even less clear if he's truly made his peace with it. If he's already raw over Marwa leaving him at the altar or something, Laszlo being so happy with Nadja (and happily ruining Nandor's happiness to get it) might be salt enough in the wound to make him finally blow up about it. We know that Nandor tends to nurse grudges, despite being outwardly okay...
Plus, if Marwa does leave him at the altar, that might remind him of Guillermo leaving him with his dick in his hand at a train station in New Jersey! So if he learns (and/or thinks about) Laszlo causing that, it could really piss him off!
There's always been some resentment simmering between the two of them, but they mostly seem to get along pretty okay! So I'm very curious to see what'll have them at each other's throats. Part of me wonders if they'll get trapped in that cabin together and being unable to get out will make them come to blows right there.

Okay so there are brilliant theories flying around and I love every single last one of them. But, I want to put forth another. In the latest interview with Harvey, he says something about all the vampires getting to where they are 'now' (now being start of season 4) out of love. Or, thinking that they're doing the right thing out of love.
Now this combined with Nandor's character progression in season three, and just how desperately self-loathing he is as he grapples with the new normal around him, makes me think that Nandor may have another reason for possibly not contacting Guillermo. He feels guilty.
And I know, this may at first sound unlike Nandor. But when you dive into that- the fact that Guillermo's put it back to him in that finale, the fact that we've seen Nandor take blame without second thought (the Sire's escape), and the idea that Guillermo's left him multiple times before. Is it that much of a stretch to posit that Nandor *thinks* that Guillermo's done this on purpose? To think that Nandor's interpreted this as Guillermo's final, big fuck you & that his response to that isn't simple anguish, or passing blame, but that... he might think keeping the distance is what Guillermo wants. He's distancing himself with the belief that Guillermo wants that, and Nandor cares enough in his funny way to respect it.
Obviously, Harvey could've been talking specifically about Laszlo's actions, but it genuinely sounds like the whole gang is amiss & there's gotta be some motive as to *why* things have stayed that way.
Personally I'm more of a fan of Nandor being an emotionally repressed dick and the consequences of that but him taking responsibility was an interesting bit last season so I'm curious if we will see it again. 👀

Hey if anyone wants to read my long rambling WWDITS / Nandermo thoughts have at it.
Been thinking a lot about the state of nandermo after today's episode because:
I do not see what Guillermo is doing to his boyfriend to be anywhere as obviously wrong as what Nandor is doing. I don't buy into the idea that he is "emotionally cheating" by ignoring his bf for work stuff. Every moment he isn't doing familiar/ bodyguard stuff he is on the phone. And I don't think he is more emotionally invested in Nandor right now than his boyfriend.
Why?
Because Nandor absolutely is doing all those things with Marwa. He is faking being in love with her SO HARD. I think Nandor's arc is leading him in two directions right now: the first, having to realize that a relationship is not the cure for his depression, and the second, realizing he is down bad for Guillermo. Which yes, are conflicting struggles, but that's what makes his journey compelling. It insures conflict and plotlines for a loooong time. That's great.
And I think what they are trying to show us is that Nandor and Guillermo have passed each other like ships in the night, essentially flip flopping with each other on how they feel. Nandor has to come to terms with not only being hot for his familiar, but his familiar that has moved on without him. He's not gonna take that well.
But anyway back to Guillermo. I've been thinking of how this season (or maybe into next season) is gonna shake out for him. And I've been thinking-- Guillermo is getting off pretty easy in the public opinion department this season. Even though he has always been the nicest of the main characters and easiest to love, he is STILL a serial accomplice to murder. But even more important to the writing of this show, Guillermo's constant misfortune is the backbone of like half the comedy of WWDITS.
What I'm saying is, he is not getting his happy ending just yet.
Which has led me to the personal theory that his boyfriend has no idea that Guillermo is a vampire familiar / slayer / bodyguard.
It isn't just because of the low hanging fruit of hijinx ensuing while he tries to hide his life from his love interest, and the inevitable fallout. But also because we need to be reminded that Guillermo can be an asshole too. Guillermo, who alienated all his friends and family to chase this dream of being a blood sucking vampire, who has missed his mother's birthday three years in a row and only tried to save Jeremy at the very last second.
We need to see Guillermo do something to warrant all the shit he is subjected to, because ending his torment just isn't an option right now.
At this point though him doing something shitty to any of the main cast isn't enough, because THEY deserve it too. Guillermo needs to hurt someone who doesn't deserve it.
Now he could do that by cheating on his new boyfriend but I don't see that for him, and I really don't think Nandermo as an explored concept is there yet, nor will they be in the next six episodes. I believe Guillermo when he says he's not jealous and when he smiles at his phone. He loves this guy! He wants to be with him! So how else can he hurt him? With his past, and with the truth. And it's totally within Guillermo's character to be afraid to tell someone he loves all this vampire shit (and honestly can you blame him...).
So I think this is going to end badly for Guillermo and I have a million and one thoughts on that, from a jealous Nandor outing Guillermo, to the boyfriend getting accidentally killed but it looking like Nandor did it on purpose (ESPECIALLY if Nandor has confessed just before the guy is killed), to Guillermo feeling guilty about lying to this sweet innocent guy only for it to turn out the guy is also a vampire slayer and playing him to get to Nadja and the Supreme Vampiric Council so Guillermo has to kill him himself (I AM REALLY HOPING FOR THIS ONE).
Anyway the point of all this babbling is that if Nandermo are endgame in this series I think we have a long way to go. I think they have an enemies to lovers arc in their future and they aren't even at the enemies stage yet. And even if they aren't, Guillermo AND Nandor have some more shit to wade through personally and plot wise before either of them has a happy resolution or a healthy relationship.
And also I hope Marwa gets all of Nandor's treasure in the divorce and runs off with the Djinn because he is hot.

Ok so I had to catch up with wwits because I was to curious to see what you guys had to say about it. I read the posts and saw the memes, I couldn't miss it. Here's my two cents on the first two episodes: I'm talking pacing, themes and Nandermo.
Let's start with the fact that I wasn't super convinced by the time jump, the dynamics and the team being brought back together directly. Mostly because I think there was comedic potential in the conflict that the season three cliff hanger set up. They decided to prioritize other ideas they had, and I respect that. Still feels a bit rushed to me. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad... I once again feel like the blame falls on this new ten episodes for season format which really gives comedy (especially sit-com) little room to breathe.
I guess the narrative just assumed that during the time that passed between seasons the characters had means of communicating with each other, so there's no logical reason for them not to have cleared things up during this time. Also it is entstablished that the documentary crew doesn't follow them during the hiatus, so it wouldn't make sense for us to have first hand footage of how things went.
One thing I was plesently surprised by was the way the shift in dynamic between Nandor and Guillermo was handled: for as much ad I would have loved (really really loved) to see Nandor all offended and sulking about being left behind by Guillermo, in the end it makes total sense for him to actually gain respect for him by this episode. Nandor needed to know he didn't have to worry about Guillermo's life to see him as his equal, and the fight at the end of season three proved him that he could take care of him self (and him). But the fact that Guillermo didn't run back to him as soon as he had the chance would make Nandor respect him more as and individual, at this point of their relationship. So I quite like that, because it was unexpected and intriguing to me. I'm very curious of where they're going with this.
I didn't particularly liked Nadja's role in all this, it felt a little flat... But maybe she needs time.
#wwdits#nandermo#nandor the relentless#guillermo de la cruz#nadja of antipaxos#It's like the comedy in the first episode was told rather the shown I guess

i think the djinn for the most part stopped twisting nandor’s wishes, watching him make himself miserable and fuck it up without intervention was entertaining enough. i also think the djinn won’t accept any sort of blame for the situation with marwa, and i don’t think it feels particularly bad for granting nandor’s wishes, however there is something to be said about the last wish being the “i wish marwa would like everything i like.” and then the djinn giving nandor a new lamp as a wedding gift.
i think it has a slight soft spot for nandor, and maybe, possibly one for marwa as well ( i don’t care what anyone else thinks, i think they hung out. ) so it is very much trying to give him a chance to right his wrongs on his own, if he ever figures out he’s fucked himself in the first place.
