who are your favorite arcane characters? thoughts abt silco? :o
Honestly s2 kinda burned the goodwill I had for the series cause it was kinda bad LMAO + the shit theyāre doing w rewriting league I think is kinda unconscionable as a comic fan who has been thru similar. but I really like Jayce just bc I loveeeee a golden boy with an unknowingly deeply skewed moral compass. I also like Viktor and Servika and Mel, though I preferred her as a politicking mastermind type than the generic magic shit they went w in s2.
Silco is very cool! I prob would have been posting more about him if I had watched s1 when it came out instead of recently because I love his design and complex motivations + distorted father figure shit. AGAIN, wish they explored how jinx felt after his death more but whateverrr

Personal Opinions on Rapunzel and Cassandraās Friendship
Ok so this is one post that Iāve been wanting to make for a long time, especially since this is perhaps one of the relationships in the series with the most polarizing views ever (maybe even the number one relationship that is) ranging from people who ship them romantically to people who hate their friendship all together and think that they shouldāve never been friends to begin with. So I thought it would be worth a share for me, mostly focusing on S1 and 2. This is not meant to be any hate for either of these girls because they are both among my faves in the series!
ALSO: I will NOT tolerate any hostility or rudeness on this post. If you donāt agree with my opinions, either lets have a friendly, respectful discussion or just scroll by and leave this as it is, thank you!
If you donāt know by now, I personally do not ship them, and never have I since I first started watching the series. I also never interpreted any of their interactions as romantic or saw the two of them as a āpotential couple.ā I would say this could mostly be due to the fact that I am a hardcore New Dream shipper who strictly believes Rapunzel and Eugene only have romantic feelings for each and I personally donāt think they would have any romantic feelings for anyone else. And Iām also the kind of person who values platonic love so much I also donāt like when theyāre shipped (this applies to male-female platonic love as well).
However, I do think that their friendship really made for an interesting story. Now in my opinion, I personally donāt think their friendship was 100% toxic, or devoid of love or happiness, and nor do I think it was entirely a healthy one either, otherwise it wouldnāt have fallen apart by the end of S2.
To start off, Iāve always felt and stand by my opinion that the friendship was very flawed from both sides. The problem with Rapunzel, esp in S1 and less in S2, was that she was a socially stunted teen who was barely out of the tower and barely had time to learn about healthy friendships and boundaries, and this has caused her at several times to unintentionally step on Cassās personal boundaries, be extremely pushy and at times annoying. Cass on the other hand, as we all know has a superĀ ābitchyā, distrustful personality and has her own insecurities and struggles with self-esteem that negatively affect her own judgments and actions. I feel like a lot of Cassās trust issues and tough, bitchy exterior stem from her trauma of being abused, neglected, and eventually abandoned by her own mother. I have this headcanon that even though she has no memory of this incident (PTSD can cause a person to forget a traumatizing memory but still continue to suffer as a result of it), she basically has this idea that if her own mother didnāt stay and love her, why would anyone else do so? Cassandra grew bitter to a point where she pushed people away and avoided attachment to avoid the same trauma from happening again. Of course that was until she befriended Rapunzel after Rapunzel persisted in making this friendship happen even after all the pushing away Cass was attempting to do. Based on the canon we got, I would definitely conclude that this was each of the girlsā very first close female friendship in their lives and both had a whole lot they needed to learn in order to grow and build healthier relationships in general. In my opinion, despite the flaws of this friendship, both girls did need it (Rapunzel needed a blunt gal pal who, along with Eugene, could help her discover more of the real world around her and learn more about social interactions, whereas Cassandra needed someone to help her to open up her heart more and know that she is worthy of being loved).
The reason why I donāt agree with a lot of theĀ āCassandra is malicious and evil to Rapunzelā orĀ āCassandraās entire goal and purpose in the whole series (Even in S1 & 2) is belittle and demolish Rapunzelā claims is because I feel like they erase all of Cassandraās positive traits and great sacrifices she has made for Rapunzel, whether it was their TBEA sneakout adventure which put her at risk of losing her job and home just to make Rapunzel happy or Cass getting her hand charred to get Rapunzel to snap out of the reverse incantation, just to name a few. To also say that Cass was never nice to Rapunzel or never cared for her erases the fact that there were several times she got out of her comfort zone to apologize and make peace with Rapunzel after a conflict (her hugging Raps in Challenge of the Brave after she completely Effed up and in Rapunzel Day One after she opened up about her feeling hurt) or whenever she comforted Rapunzel in her pain (QFAD and BTCW).
As for the claims thatĀ āRapunzel is selfishā orĀ ātakes all of her friends for grantedā claims, Iām equally opposed to that and they leave an awful taste in my mouth. Rapunzel, as we all know, was trapped in a tower for 18 whole years and has NEVER interacted with anyone besides Gothel and Pascal. Of course Eugene was the first human outside of the tower she interacted with, which throughout the events of the movie and all the trials and sacrifices that they went through, their relationship has so much stability to it. However, not every person Rapunzel interacts will share the understanding she has with Eugene. Rapunzel lacks so much social understanding and skills that there are times she doesnāt know when to have the right type of interactions (remember the bear hug?), let alone experience in royalty. However Rapunzel herself is a major people pleaser and will do whatever it takes to make those around her happy (even if gets really pushy and annoying at times) but she will eventually stop with her pushiness especially when she sees how harmful it can get. Just like Cass, there were several instances where Rapunzel will willingly fight for her, like in BTCW with Adira, even though Cass was technically in the wrong or in Freebird (An episode Iām not a fan of but enjoyed some aspects of it) when both of them fought to save each other or even Rapunzel sacrificing the last egg to turn Cass back.
As for the flaws of the friendship, I would definitely say that alot of it had to do with both lack of proper communication and understanding of boundaries. As we all know Cass doesnāt always have theĀ āfluffiest, kindestā ways of communicating her feelings or her pain and can in turn lash out really badly and come off as condescending and rude. Rapunzel on the other hand, wasnāt really the best at reading social signals (Challenge of the Brave is the best example of super flawed communication and understanding on both sides) or understanding personal boundaries. I personally donāt believe that Rapunzel wouldĀ āput up someone elseās shit to please themā but she would be more like, if theyāre not pleased, Imma force them to be pleased (mostly in a cute, clumsy way, namely Under Raps when she felt the need to constantlyĀ ācheer upā Cass orĀ ācomfortā Cass in Big Brothers, even when Cass told her she didnāt need it, other examples include Rapunzelās Enemy with Monty and Goodbye & Goodwill in Vardaros).
However I would say I saw so much improvement throughout S1 and mostly the first half of S2, where we do see them have so many friendly and goofy interactions (In Like Flynn with the pranks, theĀ āgame faceā in Pascalās Story, the Island eps, etc).
Then there comes the midseason and this is were I would say the friendship completely fell apart. And I think this is mainly where the argument that Cassandra is controlling over Rapunzel comes into play. Cassandra at the very beginning of the season, as we know the King assigned her with keeping Rapunzel safe, she basically gave up her dream of potentially becoming a guard to accompany Rapunzel. At the same time, Rapunzel is out in the real world outside of Corona and wants to discover more. We see these two have clashes of views and ideals that lead to certain debacles (Freebird is a prime example, tho I personally wish they did something else besides the whole bird plot lol) and then Rapunzel and the Great Tree, especially when Cass expresses that Rapunzel should take caution (which in itself feels "limiting" Rapunzel's desired freedom). I know that there is alot of anger over the argument that Cassandra was belittling Rapunzel by calling her naive (which I agree was a shitty move on her part). But I personally never thought it came from a place of wanting to "bring down Rapunzel and seek control over her" but more of a panic over the fact that they were in a dangerous location and the fact that the gang was nearly killed in it. Adira's points were also valid but Cassandra's insecurity and jealousy of her lead to her reacting hysterically and to make extreme accusations against her. Rapunzel was also stressed from being overwhelmed by the reverse incantation, which also led to her to shut down Cass in an unhealthy, humiliating way.
I feel like this along with the progression of S2 led to the betrayal and I feel like the whole Moonsandra arc should've been more focused on the problems with the friendship and Cass's insecurities rather than the whole Gothel drama. However, I always felt that it was a very complicated friendship that needed lots of mending and better communication on both sides, and I feel like that's where they got to in Plus Est En Vous. Both Rapunzel had grown to better understand social skills, communication, and boundaries a whole lot better than when we first saw her and Cassandra (tho S3 needed much better writing) she had grown to reclaim her self worth and accept that she was worthy of love.
As much as I was upset Cass left Corona, realistically that was what they both needed to give each other space to grow and learn in a healthy way.

Greenhouse Academy S1-4
Preface:Ā So, I finally have gotten around to writing a review about S1-4 of Greenhouse Academy. I finished over a week ago and watched all 4 seasons in about 4 days haha. Honestly, Iāve been procrastinating this review because I have A LOT to write about. So here we go!
Plot: Eight months after losing their astronaut mother in a rocket explosion, brother and sister Alex and Hayley Woods enroll at a private boarding school, the Greenhouse, for gifted future leaders. Separately, they join two competing houses, Ravens and Eagles, within the school and tension builds up between the two siblings as they adjust. Soon, mysterious events catch the attention of the students from both houses and forces them to work together in order to find out what is happening at the draw the Greenhouse.
Review: 3.5/5
I found the plot really intriguing at first. In addition, I liked the actual events that happened and where the story could head in the future. Though, the execution was not as great. The acting I felt was good for the most part, but the writing seemed a little awkward and cringey at some points. But bear in mind that it is targeted at kids/teens (even though at some points in season 3 and 4 there were some curses thrown around) so it is kind of expected to have those moments. Either way, those moments are bearable to watch through. I personally liked season 1+2 more than season 3+4 for the most part. There is one main issue I have with this show, but I canāt describe it without spoiling it. So, continue reading if youāve watched the show/donāt care about being spoiled (Itās mostly about season 3+4).
But the main issue I have were the character changes. The obvious ones are the actual cast changes for Emma and Brooke. And the fact that Jackie left... that broke my heart. I still have this naive hope that she will come back though. It sucks that the original actresses could not continue with season 3 and 4, but you canāt really blame anyone since those decisions are based on personal reasons. Itās hard not to prefer the original actresses because well they are what we are used to. Though, I canāt understand why everyone is hating on them sooooo much. I personally think they were fine at acting. The REAL problem was the writing. In season 3 and 4, the personalities of so many characters were switched and the plots were messier.Ā
To start off, the whole love triangle between Daniel-Hayley-Leo was annoying. I DID ENJOY Daniel and Hayley, but Leo was just being a dick for the entirety of season 3. Obviously Leo was already a bit of an ass with the whole Aspen and LDR drama, but in season 3 the writers just made him 10x that (especially with the whole leading Beca on and straight up insulting Hayley at every chance he got). As you can tell Iām not a big fan of Leo, but the thing that got me is that the writers made Daniel such a jealous boyfriend? It seemed really out of character to me for Daniel to go through Hayleyās text like that and be paranoid of Leo (I mean hello this is the guy that is just straight up insulting your girlfriend and cheated on her. I donāt think you have that much competition or so I thought -- ending of season 4 was annoying). Like I know he was probably scared of Hayley getting back with Leo because of the Brooke and Alex thing, but honestly he knew that his relationship with Brooke was already sinking before Alex came into the picture. Plus, Hayley wasnāt flirting with Leo like Brooke was with Alex in Season1+2. The only good part about this love triangle was how supportive and understanding Daniel was with Hayley at the end. I mean done get me wrong I was thrown off by the huge 180 his personality took, but Iām just gonna believe that Daniel is just that good of a guy to be that mature. Anyway Iām just gonna end it with I prefer Dayley because their relationship felt more real (also Iām so glad that she told Daniel about the button and secret room right away and the writers avoided the keeping secrets to protect you which leads to tension trope because I would have imploded if they did that) and I want to erase the ending of season 4 from my head.Ā
Next up: Emma and Max. Honestly in the first episode when I learned that Jackie was gone and both Emma and Max started lying about being in LDRs, I knew the writers were gonna try and pair them up. I had hope that they would pull a twist and have Jackie show up in the middle, but NOPE. Like this pairing is just super... boring? Like they are both sweet characters, but they really donāt bring that much to the table in terms of romantic chemistry. I liked them better as best friends who geek out together. And because the writers focused so much about their relationship it left almost no room for actual individual screen time or character development for either of them. Like all they did was use some algorithms and their intelligence to solve some seriously hard problems, but it made them seem more like robots and tools to solve the conflicts in the plot. All I have left to say is that I still ship Jackie+Max.
Now I wanna talk about Alex and Brooke. Tbh I never saw much chemistry between the two characters in any season. Like yeah Alex was a good guy that was with her at the right time when she went to the cave at night in like season 1 where he fought off the park ranger, but still it didnāt feel like a real relationship. This continues into season 3+4 and I was sooo happy when they broke up (but why did she have to do it during a basketball game? Heat of the moment I guess) Also, even when Alex wasĀ ātrying to be a good friendā to Brooke, it came off that he was still trying to get back together with her even though it is obvious that she is just not ready? And near the end of season 4 after she talks to Jason in the hospital when she and Alex were talking, I cringed so hard when he admitted that he was having trouble being just friends because it felt to me that he was trying to guilt trip her into getting back together with him which is just so wrong?!?! Again, I wish to delete this scene from my brain.
Lastly I wanna share my opinions about Sophie, Parker, and Enzo. Let me start out by saying I think in season3+4, Sophie was my favorite character. I mean come on how could I not love her? She is determined to chase her ambitions like the bad ass she is even with her past (which Iām super mad that they didnāt really delve into her past because that could have made the show a lot more interesting). I also liked the introduction of a character like Enzo since it brings a new kind of person into the show and makes it more realistic because for the most part these kids seemed a littleĀ ātoo perfect.ā Though, the writers didnāt use him to the full potential that he has which sucks for the viewers and the actor too and based on what we saw he is pretty good. Anyway I liked how he is actually a softie at heart and does the right thing for Soph. Now I wanna talk about the Sophie+Parker ship. Honestly, are the writers trying to pair up literally all the students together?!?! Again like Emma and Max, I felt that this wasnāt a real relationship; weāve barely seen these two have any romantic chemistry and I view them more like a good pair of friend (class clown/funny + class president/serious dynamic is something I love). Thatās all.
Quick opinion: Louis just felt off since the S3. I mean I get that he wants to better the students, but causing fights seemed wayyyy out of line for his character. So that was weird.Ā
Anyway that was all of my thoughts (at least for now) about Greenhouse Academy! Even though it seems like I hate the series based on my complaints above lol I actually really liked it and hope for a season 5 (crossing my fingers) where the writers and other staff can hopefully redeem themselves by fixing the problems above. If you have any thoughts about the show, please do talk to me about it because I LOVE chatting about the shows Iāve watched.Ā

One of my first submissions
however..Korrasami ship war stuff.
Not a fan myself butā¦.I want to encourage more submissions and at the least this is showing lots of effort and points of reference to wide fandom discussion and their feelings.
āā
korrasami was aforced ship there was no actual build up for it korrasami shippers like to use the car scene or blush ( when korra blushes at compliments she blushed at bolins compliment ) and there was actual evidence and chemistry for makorra in contrast to korrasami. in b3 and b4 there was actual chemistry Ā and we got to see mako talk about korra the person while asami talked about korra the avatar. or how we actually got Ā the camera zoom in and music swell at mako and korras hugh to highlight importance kXa shippers bring up asami bbeing with korra at b3 ending claiming that we would see it if asami was a man but in reality no we wouldnt. (not to mention while she smiled with her dad , the air babies and bolin suggestion of pen pals she didnt smile at them) heck the break up scene in b2 finale even hinted at them still having feelings and getting back together with the I will always love you line. not to mention that both korra and mako over came the flaws which led to their breakup Ā which wasnt due to a lack of compatabiltiy but due to certain flaws like Ā korra expecting an echo chamber from mako basically mako being so afraid of conflict that he disappoints everyone his tendency to avoid conflict Ā and I am sickened by the demonization of mako claiming that it was just that he ends single for he made a couple mistakes in the relationship department in book 1 and they claim he was a creators pet or gary stu. which is bs makorra was handled well (people like to claim it was only a couple wekks when it was months there was a noticeable change of seasons

TV creatorsā job isnāt to just do whatever their audience wants, though.
What the fans want isnāt always whatās best for the show. Remember this train wreck:
Korrasami was an extremely popular pairing during the showās first season. They took advantage of this and made it canon with no real build up and just pasted it onto the very end of the show.

ā. All the āsubtextā they said they saw clearly existed only in their delusions, as proven by the aforementioned facts. And like Appabend said, the subtext was so subtle it might have well not just existed. The āevidenceā all just seemed like what platonic friends would have done. There was not even a single concrete moment that you could find that crossed over the romantic line and tied all the other moments together, an aspect all well-written subtle romances have. The circumstances show that the fans simply wanted to ship them because they were two girls, and it didnāt have anything to do with their characters. I dislike the idea of pandering/giving the satisfaction and vindication to these fans who ship for such superficial/shallow reasons. They had no basis for their reasoning other than ābut muh lesbian pairingā and just got lucky in the end because MD and BK were the type of people who liked to pander to their audience and virtue-signal about how progressive they were, emphasized by how much they milked it afterwards in that tumblr post and everything else theyāve done about it since. In the end, my friend changed her mind and completely disowned the ship and fandom because she realized that it was all just pandering (which surprised me because I didnāt ask her to do that). I also hate how pretentious and over-the-top it was at the end with all of the background visuals and making it the very last thing you remember of the series even though it was focused on mostly other things. PS Sorry for the long comment, I type a lot:) Ā Ā ā¦. In this case, the slash shippers would be using a straw man because we donāt have a problem with the same-sex relationship itself. It was how it was executed in terms of writing quality and context within the story. Theyāre not asking for same treatment, theyāre asking for special treatment and we know that because the creators admitted their intent on doing it because it was a same-sex relationship to please their fans, are clearly glorifying it, shoving it into our faces, and virtue-signaling about how progressive they are. Itās 100% being politicized. They wouldnāt do any of those things if it was just a straight relationship. Heck, Korra ended up with Mako after S1 and you can see the clear difference between that and KA on how that was treated by creators and fans alike. In terms of hints, I stated that the hints themselves were too subtle to prove they were intentional, and one of the ways people can tell if itās going romance is that there is usually at least be a early single moment in which it clearly goes over the romantic line to tie it all together, like smiling and blushing while looking away or getting embarrassed by being pointed out how close you are to that person, etc. And if they were bi, they would have shown it in general, not just with each other. ā http://wuuthradical.tumblr.com/post/163111623958/autistic-2-d-wuuthradical-buffallura

I am personally annoyed at how bryke try to act like korra and asami were friends since b1 when
their friendship started at b3. which is something that they brought up in b3 commentary ( and check out other fantastic-nonsense posts because they made alot ofposts criticizing korrasami and support of makorra

Now personally I think Korrasami is one of those mixed blessings.Ā Yeah kids show went there but its as sudden and shallow as existing hetero relationships.Ā I DO think the build up was there but its unsatisfying because, like any anime, its not there much post confession and its more teases.
This is especially, for me, because I REALLY didnāt like the character of Asami or get everyoneās deal with her. She seemed to exist to be Best Girl andā¦ that it. My biggest disappointment was the closing of her arc with the death of her father and then, surprise, another love plot.Ā Ā
Overall though I canāt devote much dislike for the relationship as a whole so much as a connected but not causative (Gabrielle and Janet did have some decent chemistry and there were possibilities) phenomenon ofĀ āthe men suck so GO Muh Lesbiansā which so underlies my experience with the idea I can understand OTHERS attributing the change asĀ āpanderingāĀ
However, ultimately, Iām just over it.Ā For some its meaningful even if not all that.Ā And considering into Fangbone AND Sailor Moon when I know there is more challenging or at least advanced if not better fare?Ā I should just accept it.
I am not anti- Korrasami so much as against anti-Mako (and Makorra) and really its a simpler but more nested problem as I think people latched onto Asami as one of the characters whoā¦ lets say retained her potential untainted for many fans.Ā But for me she was more of a waste than Mako ended up for me by the time he became a cop and not just Edward Cullen if he was from a K-drama.Ā S2 fixed him so much for me but thats also when the hatchet was put into play and then S3 started andā¦it hurt how I could see they were handling the ex-boyfriend (and way WAY WAY buttering up this Suddenly Sisterhood of Korra and Asami
ā as a whole sheās missing something. She isnāt āmoeā but she reminds me of the sketching and depth of such a style of character. A collection of traits to interest [the audience] as to full person even as she is interesting but feels thin. ā

Callie Reviews: TMNT 2012 Season One (Part Three)
(Part One) (Part Two)
Here is where we look at the season as a whole. For this, I will be looking at four things: Animation, Voice Acting, Characters (Heroes, Villains), and Story. Iāll be going more into depths about some stuff I skimmed over here as well. So lets dig in!
Animation
This is the Turtles first CGI show... okay yeah the 2007 movie was CGI, but that was a movie. When I first heard this, I was reluctant as I felt like 2D was becoming more and more of a lost out. But the CGI was really good! Mind you it looks a tad bit dated now as every season they pushed more and more to improve it. But still, itās very well done. I canāt recall any point where I thought it looked bad or cringy...aside form when they wanted you to cringe anyways. What helps is that the show does add in some 2D elements, Thereās the comic-style flashbacks of course, but even past that. They use these anime-like quirks like the sweatdrop, blushing, wide blank eyes when reacting in shock, vein burst when a character is angry, all these tiny little things that give it a more cartoony feel. I canāt recall any other Nickelodeon CGI shows that were doing this prior, so it helped it stand out among the other shows.
Another plus side? The character designs. Aside from a few background characters they re-colored, none of the important characters look the same. Like I know that some donāt like Aprilās design, but at least they gave her and Karai their own distinct character designs. Then there are the Turtles. Something I donāt like about the upcoming show is how much.. accessorizing they add in to make the Turtles look distinctive. 2k12 kept it very simple. Different heights, eye color, shade of green, and of course body build. For example Donnie, the genius who is mroe invested with machines than training, is both the tallest and most slender. Raph, the strongest, is the most buff and Mikey, the youngest, has larger eyes and freckles to show his child-like nature. And even with Raph,a ll four boys have kind of high school athlete-like builds. Nothing over the top like say... the Michael Bay films. Basically, I can believe that these guys can do the ninja-like agility more than I can with the overly buff, giant versions that have been used.
When ti comes to the mutants, the animators get creative. There are so many unique mutant sin the show. Snakeweed, Spyder Bytez, Dogpound, Fishface, Splinter, Leatherhead, all the mutants have their own unique design that work for them. They also know when to get creepy, like with the mish-mash... thing... from The Alien Agenda. That was disturbing as heck, and itās not even the creepiest one they come up with! Oh just wait for next season, haha... but yeah, mutant designs are great!
Now the settings are kinda... meh. I mean The Lair is cool, but itās mostly just either the the Lair, the New York landscape, Shredderās lair, or an empty warehouse most of the time. Itās nothing really... creative I guess is the right word. We also donāt explore new York much, mainly settling on skyscrapers as the setting. Itās understandable why since New York is the setting, but still it juts gets kind of boring after awhile. But for what itās worth, they do try to do creative stuff when they can like in Baxterās Gambit with the black and white screens.
And of course, there is the fight choreography. As I said before, itās fantastic. All the fights in the series are fluid, well-paced, and fun to watch. If I had to give some examples off the top of my head, thereās New Friend, Old Enemy when the Turtles rise form the water. The mix of black and red is absolutely perfect. Thereās the first fight against Shredder in The Gauntlet which despite the boys getting constantly knocked down by Shredder, they give it everything they have. It looks freakinā badass. Then there is any Splinter fight scene. Thereās not many, only about three in this season (It Came From the Depths, I, Monster, The Showdown two-parter) but they are excellent. I said that the Splinter vs Shredder fight was the best and nothing after ever topped it, right?
So yeah, if I was going to rate the animation on a 1-5 scale...

Voice Acting
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8c5a34450433c8b14b1d3ef76d74f794/tumblr_inline_pbi7erATMU1r8xqu8_540.jpg)
The series was voice directed by veteran Andrea Romano, so you know that the performances are gonna be solid. As far as casting goes, they got in a LOT of big names both in the voice acting industry and out. Thereās of course Greg Cipes (Mikey), Mae Whitman (April), Nolan North (The Kraang), Kevin Michael Richardson (Shredder), Phil Lamar (Stockman), Clancy Brown (Dogpound) and of course Rob Paulsen (Donnie). Robās casting was actually a pretty big deal as along with being a veteran with nearly 30 years of experience, he was also the voice of Raph in the original 80ā²s show. So getting him back even as a different Turtle? Yeah... thatās pretty big!
Then you have more well-known on-screen actors, like Sean Astin (Raph) and Kelly Hu (Karai). Now they both actually have very solid VA-ing careers and still do voice work to this day, but if youāre say... a Lord of the Rings fan and known Sean only for that, this may entice you. The newcomers to voice acting are Jason Biggs (Leo), Christian Lanz (Fishface) and Hoon Lee (Splinter). Thereās also guest actors like Jeffrey Combs (The Rat King) and Roseanne Barr (Kraang Prime), so a solid mix of professional voice actors and a few newcomers. The result?
The voice acting is fantastic. Like even as the show goes on and you see more and more mixed reception, the acting is NEVER one of the things you see go down. If anything, it is one aspect that continues to improve episode by episode. All four Turtle actors do an amazing job conveying their characters, able to go from comedic to dramatic in a split second. Iād say that out of everyone, Hoon Lee impressed me the most since heās the only one aside from Biggs (and... eāll talk more about him next season) I hadnāt heard of. And he gave a very solid performance. Everyone did. Even for just minor characters like Pulverizer (Roger Craig Smith... yes Pulverizer is Sonic the Hedgehog) or some of the villains like Snake (Danny Jacob who voices King Julian outside the Madacgascar films) or Spyder Byte (Lewis Black), they convey their characters perfectly. Like Blackās character is a rude slob you want to punch, and he does such a great job in making you feel that way!
So yeah, you got a strong cast, a veteran voice director, and a crazy group of characters for them to voice. All of them nail it. And just wait, this is only the S1 cast. Wait until you see who they bring in for future seasons!

Characters
As I said in Part One, this is the best part of the show. I know a lot of people who fell off TMNT as it went on, but still kept interest because of the characters. To me, this is always the most important part of storytelling. Yes having a good story itself is important, but a good story will be nothing without likeable characters to move it. A cliched story may be annoying, but if the characters are likeable and strongly written, people are usually more forgiving because they care about the cast. This show is no different. To this day, the thing that kept me attracted to the show was the Turtles, April, and Splinter and what theyād get into next. All of them have strong personalities that get you to care about them, or at least see where theyāre coming from. I could gush about each of them one by one... so on we go!
Lets start with Mikey because he is the least developed this season... and most of the show sadly. Iād even say that his focus episodes dropped massively in quality after this season as he was forced mroe and mroe into the comedy relief/designated victim/little brother role. Itās a shame too because this season did an excellent job in balancing out both the comedy relief and the more innocent side of the character. Mikey is the most naive of the brothers and the least serious among them. Itās not to say that he canāt take situations seriously, itās just that heās more easy-going and fun-seeking than the other three. His biggest problem is his inability to focus and goof around, which has caused several instances of accidentally setting off alarms.Ā
While not the best of the four, Mikey is a talented ninja and the best at going off just raw talent. He doesnāt think through fighting moves, he can just go with the flow and be perfectly fine. His strongest skill hpwever is his empathy and desire to make friends. While this has backfired on him before, like in New Friend, Old Enemy, where Bradford used and then kidnapped him for a trap, Mikey is incredibly non-judgemental and open-minded. Itās why he could befriendĀ Leatherhead so easily in It Came From the Depths. He saw that the Kraang were attacking him and decided to simply talk to him like he would anyone else, even pointing out that maybe LH only acts like a monster because thatās how he was treated for so long. Mikey may not be book smart, but heās very emotionally smart. As I said, Mikeyās character sadly devolves into annoying comedy relief as it goes, but for this season he had a strong start. No meaningful development aside form slow progression on paying attention (Parasitica being the final payoff... also if youāre afraid of wasps then avoid that one), but his character is strong enough to carry him through.
Raph is the brawler of the group and the quickest to anger. Hieās the strongest fighter and incredibly confident... unless he has to deal with bugs. His biggest flaws are his both his anger and his jealous towards Leo. The first half of the season has Raph frequently back-talks and argue with Leo all because he got made the leader over him. For example, in Never Say Xever he is unhappy with Leo using mercy because bad guys donāt deserve it. Leo does eventually use the more Raph-like approach when kidnapping Bradford... and it fails miserably. What saves them? Leoās act of mercy causing the Purple Dragon to repay the favor sand saving their shells. While he does slowly get a better grip on his temper once Splinter tells him of how dangerous it can be (Turtle Temper), it takes until New Girl in Town for him to overcome his jealousy once and for all. Itās very well done too by having Leo finally get fed up and give Raph what he wanted. Ultimately Raph canāt handle the pressure once things get rough and comes to understand both what Leo deals with essentially every day and how his own actions made it worst.
After that, Raph becomes the perfect example of a follower. While heās still question Leo, he has good reasons for it, like everything involving Karai for instance. But he actively looks out for him more and stops mocking him outside just brotherly messing around. And even during that point, while Raph could be an insensitive jerk, he does love his family and will make amends when he goes too far. When he mocked Mikey wanting friends in New Friend, Old Enemy, at the end he comforted him after the fallout with Bradford and assured him that heās a good person. When he mocked Donnieās crush in Operation: Break-Out and led to Donnie going on a mission solo, Raph was worried about him, realized that he way too harsh, and tried to make amends by giving Donnie all the credit once back home. While Raph doesnāt conquer his temper completely, over the season he does get a better grip on it, can admit when he goes to far, became overall nicer, and by the end is a much better person. It was good stuff!
Donnie is probably the most... divisive of the four. Not because heās badly written per say. Heās intelligent, but also high-strung and prone to stress. Heās not a bad ninja, but because of his focus on machinery, heās the least skilled. The two episodes that focus on this are Metalhead and Monkey Brains. Metalhead has an admittedly meh plot where he gets sick of his bo staff and therefore creates the robot Metalhead to act as his weapon. TheĀ āmehā plot is IDT it addresses the message ofĀ āthe weapon doesn't make you a good fighter, you doā very well, ut still Monkey Brains does a much better job, demonstrating Donnieās tendency to over-think everything and how that is detrimental in a fight. By the climax, heās able to get himself to rely on his instincts against a mind-reading villain (weāll get to him later) and kick his ass.
Then thereās The Pulverizer episodes, which are the most interesting but sadly donāt go anywhere after this season. It has Donnie accept Pulverizer as an apprentice of sort, mainly so the kid can have some form of self-defense if heās going to put himself into danger. Itās ultimately ineffective, but mainly because of Pulverizer wanting to rush and not listening properly. The most important part though is Splinter telling Donnie that by doing this, anything that happens involving him after will be his responsibility. Which we see in The Pulverizer Returns where Pulverizer decides ot let the Foot mutate him to gain awesome mutant powers. Donnie tries to save him, but sadly he fails and Pulverier.. itās not pretty. While Donnie does still save him after, heās left with the guilt of ultimately failing his student. Iāll go into mroe about how horribly the writers wasted this next season, but here? It was interesting to give Donnie this plot since youād expect t to go to say... Leo. I think it really worked for what it was worth and let us see a side of Donnie outside just being the smart one.
So with that said, why is he divisive? Well... itās because another major part of his character is his crush on April. He doe snot... manage it well, to say the least. He is rather, well... stupid and kinda creepy with it. But I do want to point this out. Yes, it is annoying but I think thereās a good reason for it: heās an awkward teenager. Yeah him asking her to feel his goosebumps (Metalhead), accidentally calling herĀ āhis April (TheĀ Gauntlet), accidentally saying awkward things when she acknowledges him (pick any episode) are incredibly facepalm worthy at best. And yeah, they should have done better setup than have him just find her pretty when seeing her once. However he does genuinely care about her and int he premiere, he was driven more because he saw an innocent girl scared and was unable to help than his newfound crush. The feelings are genuine and Donnie being awkward about is because... well, Donnie is awkward in general and he does slowly improve. Honestly Iāll have mroe to discuss about this next season cause haha... boy is THAT a clusterfuck. But ultimately while Donnie can be annoying, overall itās pretty bearable and he has plenty of positive traits to balance it out.
Finally, we get Leo. Heās the group leader, but unlike the past series where he pretty much grew up with that role, here he gets the role halfway through the first episode. He starts as a goody-two-shoes with a mischievous side who had a very basic view of leadership. He see sit as a position of authority, greatness, and unstoppable. Thatās not to say that he doesnāt take the role seriously, he does. He devises plans, does his best to keep his brothers focused, and frequently asks Splinter for advice on how to best do things. But he also frequently uses cheesy one-liners and does his best to be as over the top with his heroics as possible, thinking itās cool when it isnāt. It gives Leo a more naive feel to him, someone who is serious but also is still a teenaged kid who has a lot of learning to do.
The pressures of leadership are Leoās primary focus as a character. While he has some doubts, the biggest blow to his confident comes in The Gauntlet after there massive defeat against Shredder. The following episode has him unsure of if he can properly lead the team and feeling guilty when things go wrong. But the ultimate meltdown comes in New Girl in Town where Raph finally pushes him too hard and he quits. Heās realized at this point that leadership is not like it is on TV. itās unforgiving, stressful, and youāre gonna be the one facing the consequences when things go wrong. His difficulty dealing with this is what attracts him to Karai. Sheās fun, does whatever she wants, and doesnāt care about the rules. She offers him a form of freedom that he hasnāt had before. Itās why he tries to get her to change sides, he doesnāt want her to be an enemy. Unfortunately things end badly between them this season, but you can see where Leo is coming form no matter how naive he was about it.
Leo evolved a lot over the season. He went from a naive teenager who quoted old TV episodes to a serious, determined leader who was willing to do whatever it took to get his team through. He never quit being optimistic and he does still have his stress with leadership later down the road. But the season is about him easing not the role an understanding the weight of that role. Itās very easy to feel bad for Leo because he tries incredibly hard, but he doesnāt receive a lot of gratitude or payoff, and he just has to accept that. By the finale, heās willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to ensure both success and his family's safety... something that becomes a bit of an issue in later seasons (looking at you Space Arc). Iād say that because we got to see Leo actually having to come to terms with the role, it makes this imo the best version of the character. We actually have to see him accept the role and how he hate show it limits his free time, something IDT the past versions really did. And all while having this dorky, idealistic side that keeps him likable and all the mroe relateable. Overall, Iād say that the leader in blue was handeled very well here!
April is my favorite character in the show, but her writing this season has some issues. Now as a character herself, sheās perfectly fine. Sheās an independent sixteen year old and incredibly proactive. Whenever she finds info on the Kraang or about her dad, she looks into it. When everyone is ready to quit in Panic in the Sewers, sheās the only one who actively tries to do something and get everyone else to not give up. When Splinter offers to train her, she accepts it and we see bits and pieces of her progressing. But itās done realistically as demonstrated in Karaiās Vendetta where itās very clear that April is nowhere near her level. But it also demonstrates her determination and how she never gives up, getting back up after every blow and at east trying to put up a fight. While sheās forced to sit most things out and does on occasion get kidnapped, she still tries to be an asset and does very well as an intel gatherer. Sheās also incredibly stubborn and can get in over her head without thinking things through, like in Metalhead and the finale episodes. But ultimately her proactiveness and need to take action are her strongest traits and what makes her a useful ally.
The issues with April are in the writing of the plot. I already mentioned how the early episodes could have done mroe in having her ease into the group. Thereās also after Karaiās Vendetta where despite living with the guys, we donāt see her until the penultimate episode. We see her express hating it in that episode, but we donāt get to explore the fallout of her losing her normal life. In fact we...d onāt see Aprilās life outside Turtle stuff until next season, and even then not by much. Now of course the show is about the Turtles and you gotta keep the focus on them, but still we get a bunch ofĀ āshow, donāt tellā problems with April. Weāre told things like sheās living with her aunt, but we never see them interact. Hell, IDT Aprilās aunt is ever mentioned outside the pilot. We also find out that April is the Kraangās target... and we never see how she feels about it. If sheās scared, if sheās worried. We can assume that she has some stress about it, as indicated when she vents in Karaiās Vendetta, but little to no showcase of how she feels about it. Mind you we donāt with the Turtles either, but still. Still, overall April is a solid character imo.
That brings us to Master Splinter, the best written character by far. Splinter is the perfect balance of a mentor and a father. Heās firm, strict, and not afraid to dish out punishment when itās necessary. But heās also gentle, patient, knows how to give his sons proper guidance, and when to let them figure things out for themselves. Heās also snarky as Hell, so itās good that he has a sense of humor. Heās also a flawed person. He lost his wife and daughter because of hat is essentially a sibling rivalry that went WAAAY too far and his own inability to control himself worsened things. He lost his family and then his humanity, ending his life as Hamato Yoshi. Since then, heās hidden int he sewers and tried to focus his energy on raising and protecting his sons. It makes letting them go topside difficult, as it is for any parent whose children are growing up. He can make mistakes, like letting his fear control him and press his sons far too hard in Panic in the Sewers, but he can admit those mistakes.
Splintrās largest plot in the season, outside mentoring the boys and April, is accepting his mutant status and overcoming his fears. Many epsiodes such as the premiere, Turtle Temper, Monkey Brains, Panic in the SewersĀ and the finale show how much pain the rat master carries and while heās move don to a new life, it still haunts him. The episode that best displays this however is a filler episode called I, Monster. In it we get this version of the Rat King, the mind reading villain from Monkey Brains, who uses his power to swarm New York. When he senses Splinter, he proceeds to try and brainwash him too. The episode does an amazing job at showcasing all of Splinterās fears. The boys outgrowing him, his past tragedies, ending up alone, and the Rat King slowly uses all of it to break him down. Splinter fights back, but the thought of the boys moving on without him is ultimately what defeats him until the boys remind him of who he is. He is Hamato Yoshi, Master Splinter, but most of all their father. They need him and always will. Which lets Splinter overcome the mind control and essentially Airbend Rat King through a wall. It was awesome~
Despite that episode being filler, itās one of the season's best. It is a strong character exploration piece about a father who has gone through Hell and is faced with the fear of his kids not needing him. It is very relatable and makes Splinter all the mroe sympathetic. And we see Splinter truly embody who he is now when faced with the Shredder again and upon learning that his daughter had survived. He went into full rat mode and gave Shredder the beating that we all wanted. And the season ends on a perfect lead in for the next one. Splinter now knows that Karai is his daughter while she was raised to hate him. Itās any parentās worst nightmare. He now has to deal with that revelation as well as how heās going to break it to his students. Splinter has some solid growth int he season, something that a lot of mentor figures in cartoons donāt get, and itās done perfectly. He has his flaws, but is still a strong father figure to his sons. Add that to Hoon Leeās absolute perfect performance and you have what is in my opinion the best incarnation of Master Splinter in any TMNT series.
While the main cast is strong, the supporting cast and villains are... not so much. There isnāt really a supporting cast honestly. The best we have is Leatherhead, who is awesome. Heās a damaged character. One treated like a monster and tortured for who knows how long. It left him damaged and prone to trauma-induced outbursts. But he is a good person who knows that what happened to him was wrong and can be quite sweet when given the chance. He didnāt have to save humanity, especially since most would scream and run if they saw him, but he didnāt want anyone else to endure what he did. Itās best exemplified with his sacrifice in TCRI, going back to Dimension X and knowing fully well whatāll await him there. But he does so to save his friends and give them the chance to save the Earth. LH is freakinā badass and I love him!
The villains though are... kinda boring. Most of the mutants, while the designs are cool, are incredibly one-note. Not all of them, like the Rat King is so dramatic and twisted and his VA does such a great job with the delivery that you both love him and want to strangle him. But others like Snakeweed or Spyder Bytez are just... well, evil for the heck of it. The Kraang are the worst though since at least the mutants are only in like one or two episodes. The Kraang are annoying as HELL. They can be dangerous but the redundant speech pattern and all fo them having essentially the same personality (aka none) is so... boring. Min you in Season 4 we kind of get an explanation to why, but it doesn't change how grating they can get. That being said in large groups they can be dangerous and with things like the Technodrome, theyāre not to be taken lightly. Still, GAH I HATE THEM!!!
The Foot are somewhat better. Stockman is pathetic and remains pathetic throughout the entire series. Bradford is a pompous asshole. Xever is a little more interesting in that he kidn of was forced to work for Shredder or go to jail... but sadly after that reveal, he reverts to typical henchman status sadly. Shredder is the Big Bad and a no-nonsense leader. He has no empathy and is more than willing to inflict physical violence on his troops if they fail him. He even threatens to harm Karai, his daughter (kinda...) if she questions him. He is a very single minded perosn, his only goal beign to kill Splinter and his students by any means necessary. Hell. he only starts caring about the Kraang when he realizes that they can advance his goal, but has zero issues letting humanity fall to them. Oh, and thereās his glee when Karai tries to kill Splinter. WOrst? THis isnāt even the worst that he does int he show. Oh just wait for next season. JUST WAIT. Otherwise though, while a powerful fighter, he just mopes in his throne for most of the season, but Richardsonās badass voice acting was nice to hear.
The most interesting villain by far is Karai, and Thank God for it. While Leo is a good-good, Karai is a bad girl. Sheās laid-back, does what she wants her way, and doesnāt play by the rules. Sheās introduced as a competent fighter, but unlike the other Foot sheās more interesting in talking to the Turtles than killing them. I think she did become genuinely fond of Leo, but ultimately sheās going to be loyal to what she thinks is her family. She also started off realizing that there were bugger problems, like the Kraang, that required more attention over the vendetta until the Turtles betrayed her. Then she pretty much wentĀ āscrew itā and decided to go with the vendetta, which only got worst when she met Splinter for the first time. Still, ti was nice to have someone actually question Shredder and try to be sensible. Sheās definite the most well-written of the villains, and the revelation about her being Splinterās daughter means that there is MUCH more to come for her. Like I said, just wait for Season 2!
Okay, this section was a LOOOT longer than I thought. So Iāll just finish by saying that the villains aren't all that interesting, but the main characters are very well written. They have strong personalities, plenty of room for growth, and their interactions always gel really well. Very well done!

Story
The main plot threads are the Turtles against the Foot, and the Turtles feud against the Kraang. All with some subplots, like Pulverizer and the mutant of the week stuff, and filler episodes thrown in. I say that the plots are handled very well. For example well go with... say two or three Kraang-centric episodes. Then we may or may not get a filler episode before shifting over to the Foot Clan for awhile. It never felt like we got smothered with one faction over the other, which is good. The plots also slowly intertwined and it felt like they came together at just the right time during the last six or so episodes. Hence hwy the finale worked so well, giving some kind of payoff on both ends.
Many of the episodes were very basic and outright bizarre. Like Cockroach Terminator having a mutant cockroach tr to murder Raph... itās kinda gross, but entertaining! Every episode normally has at least something small thatāll carry over as the story goes along. For example, Donnie built Metalhead in... well, Metalhead and brought him back in the finale, plus it helped him learn mroe about Kraang tech. In Baxterās Gambit, April finally gets her own weapon and she attempts to use it in Karaiās Vendetta. The episodes all play a part, even if just minor, in the larger narrative and I feel some of the later seasons kind of slacked on that. This season had a perfect balance.
Thatās not to say that it was perfect. Like at the end of TCRI, we find out that April is the Kraangās true target which makes us wonder why... and the next episode is about Raphās fear of bugs! So TCRI was episode 17, we donāt even mention this fact again until Karaiās Vendetta, which is episode 21. Five episodes later, and even then we get one tiny hint (April doesn't get damaged by mutagen-laced water) and... thatās it. The.show has a bit of an issue with not exploring fallout, which is weird because Panic in the Sewers did and id it excellently. Maybe itās because they have to make episodes to sell toys, IDK. It doesn't do too much damage, but it makes it feel like they both wasted character opportunities and like thereās something missing. But at the very least the episodes remain entertaining, so thereās that.

Final Thoughts
You know what I like about this series and why I ran it above the other ones? Well it does something that I feel that the previous incarnations lacked: The Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles felt like teenagers. They felt like a bunch of kids truly entering the world for the first time. They screw up, they have problems to overcome, and they donāt always learn it immideatly. Like their cockiness is a frequent pain in the shell for example. But the reason that I like pretty much all of the episodes aside form Episode 11 is because it feels like weāre watching a group of kids truly starting to grow up and learn about how rough life can be. How they have to change, how they have to fix their mistakes, and just become better people. As a nineteen year old who was just staring to figure my life out, when I started the show, that drew me in. I related to these characters so much. I felt like I was growing with them and coming to understand who I was due to it.
It felt really nostalgic to go back over this season. Imo, it still holds up big time. Itās funny, action-heavy, well animated, and the characters are just as enjoyable as I remember. Would I call this the best season? Hmm... maybe. I still have three more to look over. But it was a really fun ride and it got TMNT 2012 off on the right track. Can they stay on it during Season 2? Come back next week, and we shall see!

How I came about shipping Sherlolly
I light-headed post on my first impressions about Molly Hooper and the Ship!
Iāve always been a die-hard Sherlock Holmes fan, I liked reading the books as a kid, the ACD canon and the Granada adaptation were one of the first most significant forms of media I consumed in English and languages other than my own. Then I watched the Rathbone and subsequent movie adaptations, I enjoyed all of them (except for the Guy Ritchieās, Iām sorry, it didnāt work with me). The first time I read Fanfiction, it was about Sherlock Holmes. I couldnāt get enough of the adventures. I needed more cases and character studies but was never into romance, except for a bit of well-developed Warstan. Maybe itās projecting, but my younger self was really really into ace!sherlock holmes. Did I think Holmes was incapable of romance or sexual attraction? Actually, I didnāt care, ācause I didnāt want it and I avoided sh/oc or other similar pairings like the plague, cause no, it wasnāt for me and I was definitely being closed minded about it.
And then BBC Sherlock happened, saying S3 happened. What really happened is that the impossible came to be true, I fell in love with a pairing and its characters. I really understood what shipping meant. And it was Sherlock Holmes/Molly Hooper. When I realised that, it seemed OBVIOUS, duh. If I had to pinpoint the exact moment, it would be by the end of TSO3. I thought, yep sxm: I believe in it and itās going to happen. Even during the liplock in TEH I was annoyed because I thought that hum this isnāt the kind of show? Uh, why? Well, I was still in full ace!sherlock HC and I wasnāt watching the show for the ships, I never liked that. But then w/ the stairway scene & the introduction of Tom the writers gave it away.
Basically, before that I was a very casual - albeit enthusiastic - kind of viewer. I liked Molly though, always did, and her interactions with Sherlock. Not because I wanted to pet benedictās hair (yeah, sorry Loo), I liked Molly because Sherlock liked her, I always thought he liked her a lot. I always look forward to Sherlock Holmes having friends -especially if heās nice to them- in all adaptations because they are important and they save you. Reason I get all heart eyes when Granada Holmes shows his respect to Lestrade, his playfulness with Watson and whenever the lovely sassy banter with Mrs Hudson occurred (thank you Jeremy Brett for requesting more Mrs H scenes, I still live for them).
The first BBC Sherlock ep I watched was, donāt laugh at me, The Blind Banker. It was back in 2011, I was in high school, I lived alone far from my parents and I had a lot on my plate to do things other than studying and hanging out with my friends to preserve my sanity .I didnāt own a tv in my flat, I knew BBC made a new adaptation but didnāt feel good enough to look it up before. I was staying with my girlfriend that week, at her parentās house, we were spending the evening with her older sister and a tv series called Sherlock was going to air on France 4 (the most anglophile of French public TV channels) and it was the second episode. That evening I was hysterically overjoyed, quite ironic since lots of people here hate this episode XD. The scene at the cafeteria with Molly rolls on, this girl, who she? Sherlock approaches her with a culinary joke with cannibalistic undertones. Weird morbid me liked it, that kid of gore humour is my JAM. Then, Sherlock turns to Molly, looking at her in the eyes and says āNot if youāre slicing up cadaversā *weird look* #tension. I turned to the girls and said: āIl est allumĆ©, on dirait que Ƨa lāexciteā. Ā They agreed. I didnāt even know who Molly was but I was already under the conviction Sherlock Holmes was completely turned on by her line of work.
Iāve seen it before in other adaptations, Sherlock Holmes getting excited by puzzles and cleverness. So, I didnāt think about it in a romantic way. (But again, completely understandable, esp if you ship Sheriarty)
At that point, thereās the awkward flirting and his smile drops faintly behind her back. When they do get to the morgue Sherlock keeps staring at her head with gentle intensity. Despite the manipulative moment, I really thought Sherlock liked and admired Molly for what she does. Now that I ship it I get to read all these ffs in which Molly being a Pathologist is very relevant and very appreciated, thanks XD. The Blind Banker was over, afterwards France 4 started a rerun of ASIP from the previous week, and with whom are we first introduced with Sherlock? Itās Molly, ah thatās who she is! Sheās in there too! Next thing sheās offering Sherlock the dead body of a colleague she liked, she watches him whip him, ābad day, was it?ā well Sherlock WAS indeed having kind of a bad day: from Stamford we gather that heās frustrated, he needs a flatmate to split the rent and he doesnāt think heāll be able to find one easily - with him being him - and god knows what else is in his mind, and then she asks him out for coffee. Actual quote from meĀ : āPutain, la meuf elle est au-dessus, quoi. Incroyable!ā and I raised my hand in a topping motion indicating that the gurl in question was too far above in the air and everyone else was beneath her (a bit like what people think about Sherlock being a hero and a bit like Eurus now that I think of it, funnyĀ right?). Like who can top that? I rarely see or expect something like this before. It intrigued me. And from then on, every Molly Hooper scene was a big roller coaster of WTFness. Boring? I donāt think so, personally my opinion is that a lot of people are reaching and theyād like to be her but reacting in a more conventionally cooler, detached, very predictable and finally dull kind of manner. Bof.
Actually boring, next.
Then the rest is history, sherlolly <3 <3 <3 *-*
PS: Unlike many people who regard Molly/Sherlock interaction having lots of emotional tension and gravitas ā with that I agree ā the first thing I noticed about them during S1/S2 were the sexual undertones. There are many of them, actually. Maybe Iāll write about it one day if Iām capable of gathering legible sentences. :D
