amfmn missa.. p please.. please mother … feed us
I'M BEING ENABLED PPOVERHEAT
He's an actual grim reaper. That's where he's disappeared to so often in canon, reaper duties. It's a very demanding job, you know.
Doesn't stop him from feeling terrible about being gone so often though. He misses his husband and kids and hates how often he's out of the loop :(
Fr though Phil and the kids make him so so happy after spending countless hours working such a sad job. It's also partially why he sings and makes art. That brand of fun is catharsis for the soul.
He has all his canon weapons but I ALSO gave him a reaper deathscythe. And boy is he gonna use it. Fucking AWOOGA MissaSinfonia when he's angry.
Btw as a reaper he can FEEL souls. He can see their power, their condition, feel the surface level emotions and personality of its owner. This will come in handy later in the fic. ;)
As per the post I made asking for Missa appreciation so I can characterize him properly: He's undyingly loyal, he fights hard and loves even harder, he's protective, silly, and goddamn can he flirt.
All his wet cat behavior is a result of getting too overwhelmed by The Horrors. He's seen A Lot as a reaper. But somehow Quesadilla Island and all its... Everything. Always manage to show him a new brand of What The Fuck he's never even imagined before. Hence all his screaming and weeping when he's caught up on what he's missed. Like how tf else is he supposed to react??
Somewhat attached to that, he and Phil rlly were a match made in Federation Heaven bc they both have issues with self-doubt despite being insanely skilled and sharp-witted. Missa is better abt it than Phil though. His only acts up when he messes up a lot or just. Doesn't have a clue how to handle a situation where it's dire that he does. It's more of an insecurity about being unprepared and failing his loved ones than it is a doubt he has skill. He KNOWS he does, he hates when it's not enough. That's how he differs from Phil, who thinks he has none at all.
Btw when you fuck with the people he's protective over, he gets PISSED. We're getting a LOT of pissed off Missa in AMFMN <3 Ofc there'll be a lot of reaper tears too, his husband is suffering and there's little he can do about it. :( But ohohoho when the sad turns into rage. BARK WOOF. Eventually he decides EK is catching these hands and scythe.
He also shakes hands with his husband on being a self-sacrificing little shit. And. Yeah this is gonna happen later in the fic. (He's not dying dw dw)
You have no idea how excited I am that I basically get to build his dynamics with Fit, Etoiles, and Bagi from scratch. I'm so hyped. People are welcome to reply with this with any crumbs we have of their dynamics in canon but afaik they've rarely interacted outside of very minor moments, so AMFMN will largely be a sandbox for me to establish what I THINK they'd be like. Which in my fic plan so far, is largely taking each character's personality and applying how I think they'd react to a situation, and how that would look when two of them are interacting in that situation. Ex: at one point Etoiles has to comfort Missa bc he's just having a ROUGH time with this saving Phil stuff. But Etoiles is NOT a comfort guy. So he does his Etoiles thing: hearing Missa out while also cracking his usual brand of jokes in an attempt to lighten the mood.
I also have a plot point planned with him and Bagi when shit is hitting the fan the hardest and OUUGHHH. That self-sacrificing shit am I right.
God I'm being so mean to him specifically in AMFMN though. Ender King is a sack of shit, he knows exactly who to harass most using Phil's body >:/
See in my AMFMN Fitza headcanons, I said they're each other's confidants. Which IS true. However, no one in the fic gets the honor of Phil FINALLY communicating with someone about his issues other than his husband. Missa is the person he caves and confesses things to. Missa gets the HC Deity lore and what's been happening to him lately. This is actually what Chapter 3 is :D
Also I am so sorry but I'm sliding a Missa Romantic Love Confession attempt into the fic and it gets interrupted by The Horrors. But yeah Missa is romantically in love with Phil, he just respects that Phil sees things platonically. He still wants to communicate his feelings though.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, I present: my current personal ranking for how much I like the OW goobers:
This is based on a mix of story, visual design, personality, and gameplay (the last one throws a big wrench into the bias here), but yeah I think this is accurate enough.
To explain the tiers: Reinhardt. is the man. That should speak for itself. The subsequent four are my other top favorite characters, though Tracer is heavily ignoring this list's general bias towards gameplay, since I suuuck at actually playing as her, but adore everything else about her. Next tier down are my further less extreme favorites, really like those guys too. These are my general most played characters besides the top five, or if not then I wish they were. Then are a bunch of characters I actively like a good bit, but not as much as the others. I wouldn't call them "favorites", but they're a bunch of oddballs that have a number of things I like about them a good bit, and I'm competent at playing most of them. Or at least trying my best. Then are characters I... like more than dislike. There's generally just one thing holding each of them back (fandom oversaturation, questionable visual design, questionable gameplay design, boring playstyle, or playstyle I'm bad at, in that order). Characters I more than get the hype for, but still get dragged down a bit. Zen would be way higher if he wasn't the most bizarre bundle of personally dislikeable gameplay design, and Echo used to be a lot lower in my ranking just because of her questionable normal lady face. Then there's the characters I'm actively just kinda. fine with. Most of these are because I think they're boring to play (like Moira, Torb, and Winston), or I actively suck at them despite their popularity (Soldier and D.va). Reaper would probably be higher if I didn't publicly acknowledge how he's a robo-racist former cop who's now a super murderer. That said, there's a bit more of a gap than I wanna admit between Reaper and D.va, Reaper is borderline in the tier above and D.va borderline in the tier below. And then the last normal tier is the characters I actively just. Don't like. Hanzo's boring in-game and I am so removed from the hype he gets from the more "tumblr-y" side of the fandom. Yeehan does nothing for me. He's just a pointy depressed man who can randomly one shot me when I'm not on Tank. Widowmaker is the character who I think is the ickiest on a narrative level, and her extremely polarizing presence no matter what team she's on in-game is very much not helping. And Wrecking Ball... I love him in theory (he's a hamster I mean come on that's great), but he's just such a drag to play as, with, or against in-game, and he has absolutely zero fandom presence bringing him up. And Illari I think speaks for herself, she's very much not literally in the bottom spot, but she's too new and has so little content around her yet, along with no connections to other characters, plus her kit is something I'm still getting a grasp on. Don't worry though, she's definitely in the "solid enjoyer" tier minimum, it just feels unfair to rank her with everyone else, who I've had at least a few months to come to terms with (though Lifeweaver I maybe put a bit high, I'm just having fun with his most recent buffs making him finally playable)
Don't sweat the exact order within tiers too much (especially the "solid enjoyer" tier), but the tiers themselves I think work fine enough.
I could probably do a more in-depth ranking going over my specific thoughts on each hero (in fact I've tried in the past), but I don't have too much to say on a lot of these knuckleheads, and especially around the middle I don't have enough solid to really compare them to each other.
So uhhhh yeah! Feel free to prod me on why I'm being blasphemous towards your impermeable favorite! Or just tell me what they are! Genuinely, I at least find something to like in pretty much the entire cast, and it shows just how much I like the cast overall if there's only really four characters I actively dislike. I'll respect the armies of Hanzo fanatics even though I absolutely don't see the same things you do in that man.

Ruby is a rare type of protagonist
This is gonna be long, you’ve been warned!
I am a grown ass adult woman. I like female protagonists, I prefer watching them and relating to them, and always have.
I’ve watched a lot of animes since my teenage years, upwards of 400 last I counted on MyAnimeList a few years ago. I’ve been to Tokyo - twice - and spent at least 20 hours scouring the anime stores of Akihabara. I paid the Japanese mailing service to send a Saber figurine back to my home country since it was too big to bring in my luggage. (This one!)
Why does this matter and what does it have to do with Ruby? Read on:
During my years of being an utterly anime fanatic, I started to grow bored. After 400 animes, you’ve seen most of the plot twists. Most of the stereotypical personalities. All the classics have been watched and rewatched. The story beats, even if presented in a new packaging, becomes predictable.
You start to see the patterns, so to say. I’ve been hyped more times than I can count, only to be disappointed when yet another promising series took a predictable, cliché turn with its story or characters. It may not be sudden, sometimes it happens several episodes or even a few seasons into the show. So you never know for sure until having spent a lot of time watching.
There are a lot of GREAT animes with male protagonists, but how rare isn’t it to find one that does NOT build towards the guy being needing to become stronger than his enemies and winning some important final fight? (as is common in shounen in general)
As time went by I found myself getting more and more picky with what I wanted to spend time watching. I prefer shows with the cool, badass, strong girls, since those are the ones I enjoy watching and them being girls makes it easier for me to relate and enjoy their achievements.
Cool...
Badass...
...strong girls.
These are what I want. Finding them, however, can be tedious work, especially in the role as main protagonists.
In the anime world, there are some common tendencies with strong female characters:
1) The badass female character is either a side-kick to the male protagonist, eventually become overshadowed by a male protagonist, OR in some cases by some new girl, because heaven forbid any of the cool girls get developed beyond their one single character arc. (ex. Fate/Zero, A Certain Magical Index, Shakugan no Shana, Koutetsujou no Kabaneri, Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, any anime with a harem, and so many others - they can still be good shows though, that’s not the point!)
2) There are great animes out there with great female protagonists, however they are usually either a) sexualized (ex. Kill la Kill) or b) shows geared towards kids (ex. Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, The Owl Hourse (yes, I’m putting this here even if it’s not an anime) or c) romance focused (ex. Revolutionary Girl Utena). I love these shows for other reasons though!
3) The actually great action animes with badass female protagonists that are allowed to develop and not be overshadowed by their crush/secret male protagonist etc. do exist, but are sadly few and far between. (Soul Reaper is pretty great with Maka, although BlackStar steals a lot of space, and I prefer the anime for this exact reason. A Certain Scientific Railgun was my fav for a long time, but sadly Mikoto is in love with the harem protagonist of the main show and gets overshadowed whenever he’s involved.)
And it doesn’t matter if the show is named after the girl(s) or not!
Here are two girls, each with their own anime named after them (Railgun/Index). Guess who’s the most important character who actually drives the main story?
Shakugan no Shana: Yes, Shana is the name of the girl. Guess which character gets the most power-ups and biggest development?
There’s nothing wrong with liking these shows, I mean I watched them too, and I enjoyed them for the most part... but sometimes I just... whish the dude would stay a side-kick?
So, first impression of RWBY was... cautious optimism?
When I first watched RWBY, because an online friend suggested it, I was surprised to find four strong female protagonists - and Ruby presented as the main protagonist what with the very first episode being named after her and there was no guy in sight.
Seems good? Even if the animation is super wonky. Ruby is cool. I like her. She has an awesome weapon too and is competent with it. She even bites back at people instead of becoming submissive. She gets saved in first episode yes, but it was by an adult woman after a woman took over the fight from Roman.
Also no fanservicy panty shots, suggestive angles and what-not? Seems promising.
But I’d seen this before. A show starts out with a cool, interesting, badass girl as the main protagonist. Then at some point some guy gets introduced, and it turns out he’s special, and she crushes on him, and then he gets stronger, and now she’s his side-kick, and more girls come along, and everything keeps scaling upwards forever (except the original girl), you get the idea.
Then the show turned into some hybrid of Harry Potter x Sailor Moon x high school anime spinoff wannabe with questionable quality? Okay, but maybe with these interesting girls and some cool plot it can work?
The Jaundice episodes seemed to fulfill the prophecy and I lost interest halfway through. Yes, even if the episodes were just 6 minutes long.
I dropped RWBY and didn’t touch it again for several years.
By this point V4 had just finished. I was bored one day, and I decided to give RWBY another chance.
Got past V1 and V2. It was better than I remembered. Got to V3 and... oh no, is Pyrrha gonna do the “stealing the protagonist role” thing?
Ugh. I hate when shows trade out their main characters for new ones because they can’t figure out how to develop the ones they already have. Pyrrha is fine, but I’m already commited to team RWBY you know? Pyrrha is so OP compared to the others, it won’t be fun watching her just demolish every single foe ever, especially if she’s gonna have magic as well. It’ll just be her special story along with her romantic story with Jaune. She is going to overshadow team RWBY and then what, is Jaune gonna come along and do the same to her eventually?
With little faith left, I pressed on to episode 9, 10, 11, and... holy shit.
HOLY SHIT!
They really did that, didn’t they? They really made me think they were incompetent, cliché writers and all that. That they were gonna focus on Pyrrha and Jaune going forwards because they had no idea how to tell a compelling story with the girls they’d already established as “main protagonists”.
And then they a) Killed off the “ace student” promised for greatness and b) destroyed the High School setting and c) Allowed the bad guys to win and d) Introduced an actual competent villain AND e) Gave new depth to team RWBY and Ruby in particular.
I was HOOKED. I realized RWBY is a show that allows its protagonists to take a backseat now and then, only to hit hard with the actual meaningful stuff. Developing and letting side characters shine as well, so that it doesn’t seem like team RWBY are the only characters with purpose in this world.
Cause no matter how special or strong or high on the political ladder they are, no character in RWBY has all the answers, nor do they have any means to actually stop Salem.
They still don’t!
Ruby has her silver eyes, but they didn’t “save” Beacon, or Pyrrha, or Penny, or Atlas. Actually, they may be more a curse than anything, now knowing about the Hound and what Salem can do to silver-eyed warriors. Not even a meaningful curse in the “I’ll become a cool vampire” type of curse, but just... horrible! No! Do not want this! Actually bad curse!
Ruby can’t solve this alone. She’s not all-powerful, she isn’t the shounen protagonist who always powers up in a pinch, she’s not the Maiden of all Maidens, she doesn’t always have the answers, she’s not Ozpin’s host or Salem’s Chosen or any of those clichés. That’s not the point of her character and the story we’re being told.
Ruby, like everyone else in this story, has to train, and learn, and fail, and do mistakes, and be wrong, and correct herself, and try again, and do better next time, and trust, take risks, experience loss and helplessness, and we have not seen the end of her development. I’m hyped for V9 not because of new fights, power-ups or what-not, but because I’m excited to see what Ruby has learned from their failures so far, how they’ll pick themselves up, and how they’ll try to approach the defeating of Salem.
Because at this point in time, they have no idea how to do any of it, and that’s what excites me most about RWBY and Ruby’s character in particular.
Ruby does not have all the answers, but she’s trying anyway, because the alternative is to give up.
She’s 17 years old and has been thrust into war against a foe that can’t die, into a role of leadership she has no grasp on how to handle. She’s trying to learn from those around her, imperfect human beings as they too are. She’s doing her best, and although she happens to have special Grimm-melting laser beam eyes, that won’t stop Salem. It won’t save Remnant from the gods.
“What are you?” is going to be a very interesting question to explore in V9.
Ruby is a rare type of protagonist because she’s not the answer to every problem, she’s not the Chosen One solely able to save the world. Yet she’s also not overshadowed or sidelined by someone else. Her story intrigues me more than anyone else’s, in any other show I’ve seen.
#RWBY#Ruby Rose#my precious child#RWBY has great writing#And I would pay to read the actual scripts#Or a book form of the scripts

May I walk you home? - Arima Kishou
A gentle hum settled within the corridors of the CCG Main Office; all the hype that had been built throughout the day had fizzled out hours ago. Almost every employee had returned to their homes, leaving only the skeleton crews occupying the building.
He hadn’t meant to stay this late; Yoshitoki had pleaded with him earlier in the afternoon, when he’d visited Arima’s office spontaneously and found the man half asleep behind his desk, to go home and sleep in an actual bed. With a sigh he tore himself free of his chair, the material whined as it sprung back to its original form. In his mind he reminded himself that he’d go home to shower and change before returning. There would be no point in resting; by the time he planted his head on his pillow he’d be beckoned back.
Kishou almost missed the sound of pen scratching at paper. If he hadn’t become so fine tuned to every creak and hushed whisper this level of the building emitted, he probably would’ve overlooked the simple noise. Yet, the soft sigh caressing his ears enticed him into finding the source.
Peering through an empty doorway he spotted her, a small frame hunched over a desk, with a pen cocked to her temple as she focused on the file before her. By the way her eyes would occasionally slid shut and stay there for a second before opening wide she was struggling to stay awake. Arima chose this moment to check the time once again.
“Normally people finish a write up of the day on the opposite side of midnight.” Arima theorized, to say the way she bounced in her seat and dropped all items in her hands didn’t amuse him would’ve been an understatement. He was attempting, rather poorly might he add, to contain a smirk.
“Special Class Investigator Kishou,” She yelped. “I just wanted to finish one file…three or six files ago. What time is it? Oh god, I had to visit-“Her eyes glanced towards her phone, the screen illuminating as the numbers burned into her retinas. She hadn’t meant to stay this late. She hadn’t meant to still be in the office after a thirty-six-hour shift.
“It’s ok, I’ve had my fair share of late nights. But you really should go home now, I hear your last investigation was difficult. It’s not uncommon for a ghoul’s threat level to rise in the field but to go from a lower-class ghoul to an SS rating.” He surmised. Her frame jumped from her seat as she began to wave her bandaged arms at him. As if to stop him from speaking any further.
“It was all the other members of the team, in fact I came away with only light injuries, I can’t say the same for the others.” She blurted. Arima let himself smile gently; he hadn’t met an Associate Special Class Investigator who was as humble as she was. Nor had he seen one with as much untainted innocence at their rank. “I offered to finish their case notes, as a way to help them.”
The room fell into the same gentle hum, Arima had found himself used to, once more. Her weight shifted on her feet as she chewed at her bottom lip. He could see her contemplating something and if he had to guess it would be whether to abandon the paperwork and leave or remain dedicated.
“May I walk you home?” Kishou questioned; it was an attempt to settle her mental debate. “if not now, I can wait for when you’re ready to leave” He added. Arima was curious. He’d always heard everyone’s praise for the Investigator but up until now he’d never conversed properly with her.
“We live in opposite directions” She spluttered, her hand lifting to her lips. “Not that I know where you live, I just meant that I would’ve guessed you lived in the nicer part of the city. I mean the guys in my team tend to call where I live a Ghoul hotspot, I mean I’ve only witnessed one incident outside of work” Her babble made him laugh. A rare noise indeed and it took her a second to notice as she continued talking.
“Even more reason to, plus a perk of being called the White Reaper means ghouls tend to steer clear of me” He jested. Another rare occurrence. The second in the space of five minutes, maybe he was exhausted. Still, he stood firm in the doorway. His eyes watching as she gathered her belongings without hesitation. Clearly, she’d given up protesting.
Before they knew it, they’d wandered further from the ominous Main office. Arima had listened as she stammered her way through the previously mentioned Ghoul case. Occasionally she would brush her fingers over one of her bandaged arms, he assumed she was doing it to remind herself that she wasn’t dreaming.
“What made you want to be an Investigator?” Arima inquired; her movements paused and for a second Arima doubted whether he’d asked the right question. He was curious, everything about her screamed that she was in the wrong profession. From the way she smiled to the way her eyes sparkled when she was nervous. Out loud he wouldn’t admit to it, but he found himself wanting to protect her from the harsh reality of the CCG. From the horrors of the world. Even in this short amount of time she had wiggled beneath the surface of his soul and infected him. He understood why everyone liked her so much.
“My brother,” The syllables held a weight he knew all to well. The numbness that consumed him hung from every letter as he turned his gaze to her. The shadows perfectly masked the emotions scattering across her features. Normally he would pry, a desperate attempt to study the joy people usually held when talking about their motivation. He wanted to be able to imitate it, perhaps to fool himself into believing he could be the same.
“I’m sorry” He found himself apologising, his eyes shifting to watch the surroundings. He’d taken note of almost everyone who had crossed their path. It was a precaution, should he need to fight.
“No, don’t be. If he were here, he’d be fanboying over you, I mean the sort of jaw to the floor type of excitement kids get with tv. He was insanely obsessed with Investigators, he got it from watching our mother. They both had a bizarre joy for dangerous situations. Finny was always an adrenaline junkie, he used to use balcony railings as tightropes, or play chicken in the roads near our home. My mother was always out, so it was my job to watch him. As a teenager he became hyper fixated on Ghouls and Investigators and for a while it was an innocent intrigue into how they fought. As a teenager he wanted to watch our mother in action. He wanted to watch Investigator’s fight in all their glory. So, at night he’d go paroling the back alleys for any Ghouls in our Ward. I used to follow after him just to ensure he didn’t get into any trouble or injured. Most of the time he’d only stumble on human crimes, a few times he’d stumble across a long-abandoned Ghoul attack. Our mother died on a mission years before I thought about joining. In fact, I only really wanted to be a bookstore clerk. Her death though sparked something in Finny, it drove him. He would go out longer, he’d go to the rougher areas. Every time I’d follow after him” She faltered briefly.
“Did he ever get into trouble? I can’t imagine all the time he only saw the back end of a ghoul hunt” Arima asked. It was stupid. He knew that the second he spoke, but his mouth moved quicker than his thoughts. She gave him a false smile. The type he’d used a few times.
“Oh boy, there were a couple close shaves. I used to throw him into a dumpster and cover his mouth to stop us from getting caught by a Ghoul. When we got home, he’d be angry but apologise and promise me he wouldn’t do anything reckless. He died shortly after our mother. For the longest time I blamed myself, he went to parole at the height of Ghoul activity back then, if I remember correctly you were just starting out at the CCG, and he used to rave about a certain blue haired investigator that he occasionally caught site of. I refused to go the night he was injured. I was exhausted from school and a part time job, so I begged him not to go. Selfish am I right?” She croaked. By now Arima should’ve stopped her. He should’ve placed a hand on her shoulder and hushed her as tears slowly fell down her face. Instead, he followed her steps as they turned the corner. The older Investigator wanted to disagree with her. It wasn’t selfish to value her own rest.
Kishou’s mind threw itself back to his beginnings with the CCG, he vaguely remembered hearing about an ordinary human turning up at fights. No-one quite understood how they kept finding them, but they had. The muffled whispers in his memory, caused him to step closer to the younger Investigator. It hadn’t been as though the pavement had narrowed beneath their feet. Arima had done it out of instinct as he listened to his own teenage voice in his memories. He remembered calling the unknown witness a fool, who would find himself dead.
“A bookstore clerk” Arima mused, he had meant to say it in his mind. Once again, his mouth betrayed him. He listened to her soft laugh. “I could see you doing that, just from everything that happened I would’ve thought you’d stay as far from the CCG as you could get.”
“Believe me I wanted nothing more than to move to a new country at that point, start a fresh somewhere less influenced by Ghoul’s but I kept hearing Finny, I kept visualising how happy he would get whenever he saw Investigators out and about. I’d never seen him happier, so I guess I joined to keep his memory alive. Especially after he died, even dying he was smiling as he clung to a piece of what I think was a Quinque” She recalled. “I found him the next morning, I almost fell over his half dead body as I left my room. He was gripping this Quinque shard as I tried to stop the bleeding. I think he accepted it, he just kept saying that the Investigators were beautiful. Apparently, he’d watched two Investigators take down a lower ranked Ghoul and they’d seen him. As they went to yell at him for putting himself in danger, some SS rated Ghoul turned up. Before they’d reached him, one of them had been killed. So the second one did his best to protect Finny. I don’t know how he got out. But he did. I was the only one he knew at his funeral. Just me and the Investigator who told me about the events”
“I’m sorry,” Arima apologised once more. This time he placed his hand on her shoulder.
“It’s ok, it’s how life is sometime, I haven’t really told anyone that story, you’re the first.” She smiled at him. Her hands pointed to the home beside them and Arima found himself questioning when they had arrived. Or when his thumb had begun to rub circles into her shoulder. “This is me”
“Yes, then this is where we part ways. Thank you for answering my question. Good Night Asso-“ She cut him off.
“It’s really late, and I’d feel really bad if you had to walk all the way home. I mean the sun would be up before you arrived. So can I offer you the guest room. It’s not much but the bed’s better than the sofa. I have some of my dad’s old shirts in a box that I can fish out for you tomorrow morning.” Her words caught him by surprise. His eyes widening at the offer, he should’ve refused. He really should’ve refused but he found himself nodding.
He was staying because he was tired, because she had spoken to him as though he were her friend or family and because he could’ve sworn, bathed in the moonlight, he could see the vulnerability that encircled her eyes. She needed the company, he convinced himself, and though he knew he wasn’t much in the form of comfort he followed her inside.

Hey! I read your recent post and it read differently to a lot of posts under the destiel tag as of now. Personally, I’ve seen the first 5 seasons (watched it about 5 yrs ago), but haven’t been caught up to date on any of the recent stuff other than the Destiel apocalypse that’s happening right now. Could you explain the following?
“...mostly being this show is a misogynistic racist homophobic consent issue-ridden pile of bad writing “.
I was contemplating returning to the show and tuning in for the missing seasons, but what you said about it has now placed me on the fence. Could you elaborate and advise?
Thank you so much! I appreciate seeing an honest post that doesn’t sugar-coat or overlook bad writing/negative characteristics of a show!! :)
[re this]
Hi!
Well, I feel like the finale probably took care of any fence-sitting you were doing (and sorry I couldn't reply sooner), but actually my answer wasn't going to change even if the finale was okay (good, imo, was always a stretch): No, I personally would not recommend watching this show. and while my answer is mostly because of the things I am going to list to answer the rest of this question, I was also going to say - you dropped the show in s5 and that was five years ago? Whatever caused you to drop it in the first place, it probably got a lot worse. (It literally doesn't even matter what your major grievance was, they have since doubled, tripled down in terms of how bad it was.) Trying to marathon through ten seasons (20-23 episodes long each) is hard; trying to marathon through all of that to get something without a satisfactory ending is a lot of emotional labor for no payout. It's not just that this is a bad show (though it really, really is, on every level); it's that you have already tried it, you tried arguably the better seasons of it, and you still didn't want to stick to it. By the nature of how tumblr works, it can make anything look so much better than it is, just because in general the people you see hyping it up *like* the product, have decided to devote their fandom time to it, are highlighting the choicest parts of it. spn was always about the potential around the edges, the story fans made of it; the actual product was always secondary to the could have, should have beens, and this gets truer the later into the show you get. I'm not saying there weren't some great episodes, some great scenes, and even some great mini-arcs, but it was a drop in the bucket to everything else. and I'm positing this answer on the idea that you are asking because you want to watch the show, and not because you want to use the show as a supplemental for your fandom experience, but if it is the latter, I'll just say I'm currently heavily involved in reading fanfic for a fandom I've never actually watched a whole episode for, and while I'm probably missing some context I'm still highly enjoying it. fandom, honestly, so often becomes so much more than the bones we build it on. and if you want a little more, catch some "greatest hits" videos or catch up on just some of the “must-see” episodes and save yourself from having to watch all the moments in-between, because there are a lot more of them than the good parts. very few shows improve as they age out, and before the nov 5th resurgence if you weren't already following spn blogs, likely the main spn meme you were coming across was the annual 'salt and burn this dead horse' that went out after each season renewal. the tl;dr answer is really, it's not worth it. (to be honest, at the end of the day, despite the sheer amount of time, energy, and words I've put into this fandom over the years, and I put in a lot, I didn't actually like the majority of the show. so, you know, grain of salt on my opinion. then again, you left it seasons before I did.) That said, buckle up, cause now I'm gonna tell you why:
Literally, The Shitty Writing
I feel like the finale speaks for this point by itself, but before I get into all the "problematic" bad writing spn does, I want to talk about the fact that the writers are also just fundamentally bad at the craft of writing.
continuity errors. they’d change their lore/creature ability to fit their plot. (the reapers esp got the end of that bad stick.) the characters will often forget (monster-slaying) solutions that worked before (holy wood, yarrow, christo, creative approaches like exorcisms on recording, spells to remove angels from their vessels, bullet with a devil’s trap, etc). the writers forgot their own timeline more than once. the random retcons they'd do. sometimes it would also lead to plot holes.
which, speaking of, they had plenty of
there's also things that don't count as plot holes but are very large missed opportunities (ex: Dean spends a year in Purgatory and no one recognizes him? he doesn't bring up his daughter?)
I don't even know what this one would fall under, but if a character wasn't right in front of them, they would forget that character's existence. not just Adam (though that was a big one), but there were so many secondary characters that even in places it would make sense to mention them, much less bring them around, they didn't. or because they would not expand their main character list, characters who should have been around a lot more than they were (*cough* Cas, but that's an easy one, I'm also talking about characters like Kevin) would have these huge gaps between episodes that didn't make sense
they don't really have character development. this isn't to say the brothers don't change, they do, but at the same time the characters face the exact same (internal) arguments over and over again, never resolving or growing from them; they just have more examples when they think about them and it gets worse and more unhealthy because of the new weight added to it. the problem with their brothers only format, and the problem with their biphobia but more on that later, is that Dean wasn't actually allowed to grow out of his John Winchester's son role, to let himself be comfortable (and dare to be happy) with himself because that meant changing the story into something they didn't like and/or didn't know how to do. at the same time, allowing Sam to grow meant breaking the Brothers Only format, because as the show stated multiple times, Sam's happy ending did not involve hunting.
and with that, they sometimes flattened the characters so badly they became caricatures more than anything else. hell there's a whole season where Dean goes evil, and people had a hard time realizing it, which was not because it was a subtle slow descent but because shitty pacing, uneven (and contradictory) episodes, previous actions that weren't written as being evil but were the the exact same thing as when he was evil that were supposed to be "signs", and how they chose to represent that evil meant it was really hard to figure out that was what they were doing and not just writing Dean as more of an asshole than they previously were. (he's not evil, he's just a prick.) and I don't mean I had trouble telling, I mean fandom as a whole had major arguments about it, much less the general viewing public.
the series finale put a definite end to the idea they would follow through on even one of their main series themes (family don't end in blood, free will vs destiny, always keep fighting, etc), but this was something they would build up to addressing and then just anti-climatically let fizzle out in multiple seasons. character and relationship themes (not just destiel but the brothers co/counter-dependency, the importance of found family, Dean's growth from Daddy's Blunt Little Instrument and Sam's acceptance that he deserves better/agency in his own life, etc) would be built and broken down in an effort to drag the question out into another season. it wasn't two steps forward, one step back, it was a reboot.
their filler vs arc episode ratios: there's nothing wrong with the Monster of the Week format as a stylistic choice, but this show
a) would kill its own plot momentum to focus on MotW episodes. [part of this is the general spn problem they created of constantly trying to one-up their season's Big Bad, which I understand but also means one episode they are going against The Most Powerful Being in Existence (for the Fifth Time) and then rather than focus on that world-ending threat, they hunt vampires for like six episodes straight. they had a very bad balance where rather than continuously weave the larger arc into the season, or at least build characters and relationships, they'd jam it all around the season premiere, finale, and mid-season finale/premiere episodes, and then all the rest was just, bullshit cases where nothing got resolved or had a lesson stick around for the next episode, making them very skippable. also more on this under the homophobia section]
b) the filler episodes contradicted themselves and the main plot all the time.
c) sometimes they focused so much on making the b-plot a mirror they forgot to write a coherent a-plot. also: sometimes they focused so much on making the b-plot a mirror they forgot to write a coherent b-plot.
I cringed my way through more than one episode of dialogue
the recycled plots
more on this in the next sections, but either they didn't notice, actively didn't care, or purposefully chose to overtly and subtly imply or state a bunch of really fucked up things, and then never address them at all
speaking of never addressing anything, I realize this is a fandom vs canon battle in general, but so many things get swept under the rug as they move on to the next issue (ex: Dean put an angel in Sam's body to "heal him", violating his consent and exasperating his issue with telling what reality is - a huge issue from previous season - and once the Mark of Cain story really took over the subject gets dropped.)
death is so cheap on this show. and I don't just mean that the revolving doorway of resurrections means it's hard to get worked up about a death because (as long as the character was a white man and especially the brothers) there was a high chance they'd be back, and I don't just mean that their Murder Is the First, Last, and Best Solution to Any Issue, Ever means the faceless and not so faceless hoards of villains, monsters, and humans who get caught up in it are just hand waved as one of those things (they have ways of saving vessels and the later into the show the less likely they are to even try), but that there was no point in investing in (esp non-white, male) secondary characters because chances were they'd be dead pretty fast. I'm honestly shocked characters like Jody (who actually at one point was in the middle of being killed off on-screen and then we didn't see her for eight episodes, so we assumed she was dead) made it until the end.
(speaking of dead characters though, what was with the habit of bringing them back constantly? just don't kill them in the first place! create new ones and let those ones stick around instead!)
when they can't use death as their solution, the other answer the writers fall back on is Deus Ex Machina
buckleming were a writing duo who had their own bingo cards that included things like shitty pacing, OOC-ness, flat one-liners, etc, and the question wasn't if you'd get bingo, it was a question of how often you got it during their episodes. at some point throughout the show, it became hard to tell what was a buckleming episode and what was just another episode in the season. aka the writing quality went WAY DOWN as a whole
you know the tv trope Idiot Ball? or Idiot Plot? spn should have it's own page for both.
they constantly break viewer's trust, which is the basic tenet of what not to do when it comes to telling a story. (again, not just destiel, though the queerbaiting is a major part of it because it happened all the time to avoid actually answering that question.) when a writer violates their character's or story's core identity for a 'twist', it needs to have been carefully built so that it's a surprise to the viewer, not a betrayal. (you may not have seen it coming, but when you look back you can see the groundwork.) these writers, every time, chose the "shocking" choice regardless of how much they need to break canon or character to do so. their twists are either obvious, and/or they don't make sense with the rest of their story/lore of the show, and the viewer is left feeling stupid for believing they have more respect for the audience/characters than they do.
I realize this is pretty subjective, but huge swaths of it are just boring. fandom made the experience of watching it interesting, not the show itself.
and yet, for all of that, the quality of writing (while painful to have to sit through) was not the worst thing about it.
(note for the following: I stopped watching after s11, but I'm sure some if not all of these are still relevant until the very end)
Misogyny and Consent Issues: Is There a Limit? Signs Point to No
there is honestly so much under this topic I don't even know where to start. i'm going to focus on patterns rather than specific incidences, because otherwise I'll be writing this for a week, but just know I can easily provide examples of all of these because this is literally what I spent years writing meta on.
female characters were more likely to die quicker/earlier (esp vs other other male characters with similar reoccurring roles/characterizations), stay dead, and die often at the hands of their loved ones and/or in Stranger Danger situations. they died for man!pain. they died for fodder. they died as a sacrifice. they were turned into love interests (whether that was their original role or not) and then killed. they were put in mortal danger and then not given resolution for several episodes (Schrödinger's death.) they died in ways we've seen male characters survive. their deaths - the violence enacted on them - was constantly, consistently sexualized, and the camera lingered.
when it came to villains the show would go out of its way to kill the female one first, or act like she's the more pressing issue so that the male character could hang around longer (and honestly by male character I often mean specifically Crowley and the season's female villain. not only that but they'd often break canon to kill off a female character, and break canon to save Crowley/a male character)
when you compare the treatment of reoccurring female characters vs male characters who occupied either similar roles or characterizations, female characters were often punished and/or treated poorly for the same attitude and/or actions of their compared male character, who often got not just a (free) pass, but more screen time, dialogue, and development
they have more than once used the story line of underage girl seducing a grown man. (it was a whole season arc even.) this is esp galling when you find out about crew member Jim Michaels, who sexually harassed and assaulted (minor) fans
(btw, not the only crew/cast member to do so! and still be invited to cons!)
Dean Winchester (who is narratively treated as the moral judgement for the show) has blamed more than one rape victim for their assault/trauma. they often get abused (or outright killed) for stopping their abuser.
Dean is ok with flirting with/leering at barely legal teenage girls. already sketchy when he's 26, really gross when he's in his mid/late thirties
speaking of Dean. based on past personal experience I'm going to say up front people do not like me saying this, but that doesn't mean what I'm saying is wrong or even based on interpretations: Dean has more than one relationship that if it isn't rape, falls under extreme dubious consent.
there's actually a lot of rape (or "extreme dubious consent") and assault/molestation, both shown and mentioned: Cas and April, the cases were men take away free will and then have sex with the women (Ben Edlund was one of the better writers of series and even he did this a couple of times), Crowley orgy (and demon sex in general), random women in some episodes, Sam and meta!Gen, Becky and Sam, Sam and Lucifer, Dean and Alastair, several monsters (like the siren) and their victims, male characters secretly watching female characters undress/be naked, and so on. Dean was often attacked sexually by men, Sam by women. most of this is never addressed, never treated like what it is, and/or is made into a joke
and there's even more rape jokes beyond that, sub-sections: prison, vessels/demons, angel possession, sex work, childhood abuse, monster of the week, sexuality, etc. huge chunks if not whole episodes were devoted to making what amounted to a rape joke.
often ignored non-sexual consent (esp Dean’s actions, including a lot of mind-wiping and violations of body autonomy)
everything about Sam and body autonomy - he is frequently violated (multiple characters have possessed him; he is fed demon blood); how he feels unclean, how he feels disconnected from his own body, how he often is forced to act outside of his control and then blamed for those decisions
actually, Cas goes through that a lot too; he is trained, brainwashed, and forced to do things without his consent, and goes through major depressive episodes because of it
this show has a pattern of girls who are kidnapped, (sexually abused), raised in isolation, and expected to develop some perfect moral compass of acceptable behavior and were then killed off when they didn't. meanwhile, male characters get fourth, fifth chances.
female characters (and I'm talking about ones with speaking roles, who play an actual part in the plot, who are sometimes in multiple episodes) are more likely to be unnamed or given no last name
are you a Mother on spn (as in, that's your role)? you're either fridged for man!pain or abusive or both
it rarely could pass the bechdel test (including in s9 don't believe those fandom lies), and that's including episodes that focused on female characters. if the test included that the characters have to be named, that (small) number probably gets cut in half. if that test included both women are alive at the end...
female monsters prove they deserve to live by killing off their family to prove they're the "good kind" (this is not necessary for male monster characters)
female characters are not allowed to get vengeance
they took the Virgin vs Whore dynamic (and that that's all women are), and devoted a whole episode to it, but in general it underlines of ton of interactions, esp with regards to Dean and women. {I actually never got around to writing it, but women tended to fall into four main classifications on this show, though overlap definitely allowed: Victim [sub-categories: Fodder, (Dean) Mirror, Mother], Love Interest, Sex Object, and Villain/Obstacle. very few female characters were either allowed to outgrow their category or didn't start in one.}
we see the male characters assault female characters but it's okay because [insert supernatural reason here], ignoring that whatever explanations for why it's being allowed, we are still visually being shown this violence against women, and often from our "heroes" (the women are then tossed away from the narrative after the violence and again, their aftermath gets regulated to off-screen who cares)
female characters were only allowed to be "so badass"; female hunters often fought female monsters or they lost/got regulated to the sidelines in battles. this gets even more contrasted as a male character/hunter will often do a nod about how "badass" she is, even as she is very easily beaten.
the whorepobia of this show
had a tendency to strip female characters down to their underwear/make them nude before torturing them, and then adding sexualized torture on top of that
outside of actor injuries affecting this (like one of them broke his arm so he had a sling for a few episodes), female characters are often more likely to visually carry the bruises/violence of violent incidences much longer than male characters
gratuitous filming shots of breasts, asses
the use of the words: bitch, skank, whore, slut; the play on words they do so they can say "pussy"
taking female myths/figures and reducing them to a cheap, sexist storyline (Amazons, Artemis, Lilith, Eve, witches - who are only allowed to live/be "good" if they're men, and are otherwise in league with demons/are evil and lose)
they often kept a character but switched out her actress; helps with the disposable feeling
how they treat women's ages (ex: Jody is not allowed to be a love interest to Sam because she's older than him/calling Dean 'kiddo'. ex: Rowena is played by a woman fifteen years younger than Crowley's actor. ex: Amara being one of the oldest things in existence but still having to age her way up.)
their treatment of teenage girls, ranging from how they sexualized them to expecting them to save themselves to treating them like they are grown adults and not children to the way they kept killing the ones who posted selfies to the fact the pr more than once used the tag "teenage girls - the scariest thing ever" for Claire's episodes
actions and lasting legacies by female characters often got erased or passed on to male characters instead
it's a time honored tradition to treat certain monsters as metaphors for things. specifically for spn, they often use werewolves and vampires for sexual assault. (not the first to do so, not the last to do so.) however, that part of it gets textually glossed over, or treated as a joke, more often than not
and for all the patterns I talk about above, there's plenty of other one-off examples of misogyny/sexism or consent issues/rape culture this show did. like that time a grown man sniffed the bra of a dead teenage girl. not for any reason, just because it was there and that's what dudes do, apparently.
Racism: All the Flavors(+ Bonus Sexism)
when you compare the treatment of reoccurring white characters vs characters of color who occupied either similar roles or characterizations, characters of color were often punished and/or treated poorly for the same attitude and/or actions of their compared white character, who often got not just a (free) pass, but more screen time, dialogue, and development.
usually Black men but in general men of color:
a) got humiliated (often using feminization or infantilization) before their death
b) had a more violent death; had a death that visually echoed racism (lynching, shot in the back, etc)
c) often used (racialized) rhetoric that in the real world is used against them
d) often filmed in ways to highlight their physicality, to portray them animalistically, to dehumanize them
e) even when victims, will add context to make them partially responsible for their death
characters of color were the villains or antagonists, very rarely "good guys"
this was a very white show, and while I'm speaking about speaking roles, reoccurring characters, and characters who get their own arcs, I'm also talking about background characters
using lore from groups they should not have and/or turned creatures into racist caricatures
having white actors play characters they shouldn't have
heavily depended on stereotypes for their characters of color
the treatment (esp narrative empathy level) of white angels vs angels of color. again, screen time and character development differences between the two
a summary of (East) Asian woman on this show: fetishized porn/sexualized, “tiger mom”, Yoko Ono/The Girlfriend, monster. they were often silent or had no dialogue. microaggressions (usually spoken by Dean) were leveled at them.
antisemitism (styne issue, erasure of the Judah Initiative, Lilith, the golem)
like the sexism, just had random racist lines or visuals throughout the show (and sometimes those came in the absence of who should be there); some groups literally did not have enough characters to make a pattern, which is why this section looks a lot shorter than it really is
like for ex, I'm trying to stick with patterns but seriously, they put a Black woman in a dog collar and said her white boyfriend was her master/that she belonged to him
the ignorance of how white privilege worked to make them palatable
the replacement and/or elevation of a white character over a character of color (Lisa over Cassie, Bobby over Missouri, Charlie over Kevin in terms of how they were treated under Found Family, etc)
how they treated non-Christian Gods: easily killed, evil, weak. they often repackaged them into a Christian framework and made them lesser than.
Bi/Homophobia, Queerbaiting, and Using Fans
they butchered Charlie. they killed her, they killed her in a way that involved leaving behind plot, characters, and logic to do so, they killed her and used the violence of it for "shock," they butchered her and stuck her in a bathtub. the guy who wrote Charlie in every other episode (Robbie Thompson, one of the better writers of the show) didn't write her last episode (assumption: because he wouldn't) and then he arguably left the show over her death. at one of the cons (comic-con?) the cast literally turned their backs when a fan questioned Carver (the showrunner) about what he did because they wanted no part of it. there was a mass exodus of fandom after they killed her (and another portion actually hung around because they got destiel queerbaited to stick out the rest of the season, and then they left.) she was un-apologetically queer, she was found family, she was widely popular, and they killed her for no reason at all. they didn't just Bury The Gay (their only reoccurring one), they salted and burnt the ground
they spent over a decade queerbaiting Destiel. they built queerbaiting destiel into the structure of the show: season opening/first couple of episodes whetted the appetite, which they then backed away from (usually removing Cas from Dean's physical area) and around this time they'd usually have some kind of heterosexual love interest, then mid-season they'd have some room to be together and share feelings, Cas would again disappear but this time they'd have some bi!Dean thrown in to keep you going, a few episodes before the end they'd have a major connection moment (I need you, I love you), and then the season would end with something to keep destiel fans occupied with during summer. it was never a trajectory, it was a cycle; just enough for plausible deniability but more than enough for fans to believe in. they had whole seasons where the b-plot were mirrors for destiel. they tried to sell DVDs by promising destiel cut scenes. they'd remove Cas from huge chunks of episodes just because they didn't want destiel interacting in the same physical space. they filmed them (I'm talking camera angles, physical positioning, etc) romantically. (and sometimes, someone on crew/the network would accidentally reveal how not-fucking-happening destiel would be, and then backtrack when they realized fandom’s uproar.)
a) Dean was only allowed to care so much for Cas, the narrative would only give him so much room to mourn/miss him. (Sam too.) it's beyond my general complaint that the writers/bros lose all interest in a character if they are not right in front of them (if they even cared when they were), but specifically they will spend episodes talking about how Cas is family, how much they care, and then because Dean and Cas cannot share the screen they come up with asinine reasons to remove Cas, which means Dean/the bros do not help him on his issues, and he is cast adrift until they need him, a push/pull of show vs tell with contradictory answers but made a lot of Cas/Destiel fans argue Cas deserved better.
b) they also devoted seasons to the (subtextual) love triangle of Dean/Cas/Crowley. (I wish I was fucking kidding)
c) "you construct intricate rituals which allow you to touch the skin of other men": the way they use violence to supplement affection (which is actually a larger pattern with Dean and his loved ones in general, but specifically the show is willing to show - multiple times - Dean and Cas being violent (often with an arguably sexualized filming to it) in conjunction with or as replacement for expressing their care.) other side of this: hugging/physical affection outside of the shoulder/hand thing is reserved for escaping or coming back from death, if then (and it took seasons and a few deaths to even get that.)
d) "buddy"
that time Dean was allowed to be textually attracted to his mother and a literal dog (who was visually made to be very clearly a girl dog), but his attraction to men always stays subtextual and/or treated as a joke
they spent the whole show queerbaiting bi!Dean. aside comments, checking out other guys, getting flustered by men he finds attractive, metaphors, mirror characters, the heterosexual overcompensation [which is different from but comes from a similar place of the macho compensation to counteract how he gets sexualized/feminized], everything with Cas and how they play that relationship romantically and with sexual attraction, the character development that led to his relaxation of his macho compensation coinciding with increasing subtextual readings of his bisexuality (and domesticity), the inspiration for his name/character is bi, his relationship to Charlie and the pattern of fictive kinship, etc etc.
why are angels straight???? why do they have gender???? (why are they interested in sex???) minus the queerbaiting of destiel, they spent a lot of seasons pushing Cas into a heterosexual box. other angels were often pushed into heterosexual boxes too. (or left in subtext and then killed.) closest we got to playing with gender was Raphael and maybe Hannah, and at least with Raphael it was not without its issues. (also: both dead.)
random transphobic lines
homosexuality was often treated like a joke/punchline. queer characters/scenes were often treated like a joke/punchline.
outside of Charlie, queer characters were small, two-bit roles, extremely rare, and often killed
how they treated and showcased fandom space and esp queer fans in-show (much less how they treated them in real life), comes from a deeply sexist and homophobic place
The Show Was 328 Episodes Long And the thing is, these are the four big categories, but it's not like this is it. The show flip-flops on calling John an abusive parent/that the bros are childhood abuse survivors. The show doesn't even really call out when Dean is being abusive to Sam, and the way they always, always go back to the Brothers Only format means they are often ignoring or straight-up forgetting the unhealthy aspects of their relationship. The show ignores how their trauma builds (and all the things that happen because of it), disconnecting the current issues with the ones that came before. The way they flip flop on monster morality and never address what the winchester bros do to people who happen to be monsters but aren't evil (or definitely aren't as evil as they are). How violence is always the answer. How the "saving people'' part of hunting got dropped the later the show goes on, and red shirt vessels/hosts die in droves. Depending on how you view it, the way they treat alcoholism and addiction. The ableism. The line between the narrative's opinion on acceptable violence and not is inconsistent and dependent on how much they like the character doing the violence vs who the violence is being done to. Etc.
(The above lists are definitely missing stuff. I haven't done anything in this fandom in like four years, I've forgotten a lot.) I'm not saying people didn't enjoy this show. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy (parts of) this show. I'm saying whether you are basing it on things like writing craft or things like 'social justice issues', this show is bad. It is of poor quality. I really don't know how to explain the hold it has on people, how a show can be charismatic, how fandom was able to squeeze so much out of so little, but that's probably what's got you attracted into the idea of watching it again. If you're thinking of watching it because you want a coherent, well done story, look elsewhere. The finale was the literal last straw, not the only one.
#spn#fandom stuff#inbox and admin stuff#//#also this focuses on canon#(and ok a little abt the cast/crew)#(though among other things not mentioned is how actors of color and actresses got treated re cons & crew demographics)#however fandom has it's own fucking list and I can come for them at any time too#anyway that was a very nice ask#and if you want actual details about any of these I could provide#but I wanted to stick with patterns because I feel like that says more than the individual things they do#of which there are legion#anyway a summary of what I and many other people have discussed over the years about how much this show sucks#////#i really do get the urge though#one of my mutuals makes s15 destiel sound good#but fool me once shame on you and fool me 50x fuck you spn#//////#this is long (you asked a very wordy person) but tbh I've written longer meta#and oh man back in the day this thing would have been full of links that would have taken you to other metas#///////#eta: fucked up my formatting I had to add a) because bullet points wont indent

I’m excited about Neo: TWEWY, I really am. A lot of speculation from fans already even though the trailer hasn’t even been out for more than a day, I think. Interesting stuff. I wanna talk about some of them plus other thoughts. Spoilers for the original game also below.
A few theories that caught my attention are the stuff about how Shiki and Eri probably are fashion designers now since some characters have stuff that look like something those two would come up with, one about how the old protags might end up being playable later on considering the switch version of TWEWY had the New Day segment where there’s cliffhangers, and finally, that the new protags might be reapers.
The last one is the one that got me thinking. There are conflicting details that points to them either being players or reapers and the latter is an exciting prospect but... how about both? As we know from the original game, the 7 days timeline is short and the full game spanned at least 3 weeks and there’s a chance this sequel will have this, too. Like, wouldn’t it be cool if Rindo and the gang are players at the beginning and after their first game, one reason or another, they end up being recruited as reapers instead?
From what I remember from the first game (it’s been years I might be wrong), players do their missions, survive those 7 days, and when they get to the end, the accumulated points become the basis if they get resurrected or not. It’s even pointed out that while one pair could finish the mission and everyone “wins” at the end of the day, it only gives those who actually finish the mission the points so everyone still has to try and finish it themselves. I think those who don’t “win” but survive get the choice to become reapers instead or something (and even the winners can choose to be reapers, if I remember correctly like Beat, I think). It’ll be awesome if we get to see their perspective on the game!
And players do pacts as a pair but there are 4 main protags and one is already a reaper. The only explanation I can think of is Rindo and his friend Fret are partners and survives together but Nagi’s partner probably lost so she ends up sticking with them and all becomes reapers and for some reason, Minamimoto is with their group. Also, Nagi’s line of them needing to escape the game might mean they’re trying to find a way to live again still while doing reaper job.
There’s also Neku being playable (Minamimoto did say he’d need to play again in A New Day) not being out of the question yet as there might be more than 7 days after all.
On the other hand, they say this game is a sequel to the anime and that the anime has had some changes made from the original game to make it more modern. I’m worried about how this will affect the story. I mean I’m already worried how they’d cram what’s in-universe a 3 week incident into who knows how many episodes of anime. I do wish they would tie this in with A New Day. I mean that one explained how Minamimoto is still “alive” after all. Tsugumi aka “Hype-chan” is finally, properly introduced as well (with her official name!) and she showed up in A New Day and the line “Shibuya is gone.” is uttered as well meaning A New Day is canon to this. We haven’t seen Coco yet though but we’d have to wait for a new trailer I guess.
Joshua though... I have so many question. Where’s Joshua and Mr. H? They know about what happened to Neku in A New Day. Please tell me they’re doing something behind the scenes about Neku and this new game. I don’t believe they’re just gonna throw away Joshua’s character development when he’s shown in the end that he does see the group (at the very least, Neku) as friends. There’s no way he’s just gonna leave things at that, right?
End thought: there were some people (including me) who wish there’s a TWEWY game set in another country. I mean, aren’t you wondering what the Reaper’s Game is like elsewhere? Like, if this sequel becomes a big hit and the loose ends from the first game are finally tied, I hope they make a new game set somewhere else.
I mean, like Pokemon guys! Pokemon has been a long, on-going franchise where each game is set in a different region following different protagonists. I’m not sure if it’s an entirely good idea but TWEWY as that kind of series. It doesn’t sound so bad, right? Wouldn’t it be interesting?
Aaaaah! I rambled on too much! Ugh... when the anime and sequel game comes out I probably would not shut up about this and might write long-ass crap like this again hahaha. For now, if you actually got this far, thank you for reading!

BLEACH for the ask meme!
Apologies for getting to this so late! Just kind of got hit by life. Anyway...
My favorite parent-child relationship - Ichigo and Isshin. This is like. It’s one of my favorite parent-child relationships in fiction in general? Because like. It’s a sincerely good one. Like Isshin is just Actually A Good Dad. He and Ichigo clash at times, but like the relationship isn’t like toxic or anything. Isshin’s just actually a good dad and I don’t hate him. 10/10, Kurosaki Isshin is the only valid dad.
My favorite sibling relationship - Yoruichi and Yushiro. We don’t get to see very much of this one sadly but what we do get to see of it is very sweet. He’s just so fond and admiring of her and is so hype to try out new things. ...but he is bad at sarcasm. ...and also he flies off the handle and worries her. But at the same time it’s like...He’s your little brother, Yoruichi. What the hell did you think he was going to do? Really. You can tell they’re related.
My favorite family relationship (other) - Chad and his abuelo. We don’t get very much of this relationship. It’s basically just a few things mentioned by Chad at times. But you can feel the love and respect Chad has for him. And even if we never meet the man himself, we can get a sense of what kind of man his abuelo was through the kind of man Chad is. Also like. As someone who lives in America and is Mexican...I am used to like Mexican men being presented as nothing but like these overly violent and abusive machismo obsessed monsters. So seeing a gentle, loving Mexican man teach his grandson be gentle and loving but still able to defend those in need...That means a lot to me.
My favorite friendship between two people - Urahara and Yoruichi. Though I suppose they also could be like A Ship but like. They’re good friends. And while I have fucking THOUGHTS on how Yoruichi’s arc concludes. I do like like the kind of friendship they’ve got going. He doesn’t treat her like some sort of immortal god emperor. She’s just Yoruichi-san. He is kind of a bastard and teases her even! But he doesn’t hold her down in one spot and he treats her like a person. Which, given the kind of life Yoruichi was born into, is what she needs. That, I think, is a big part of why I am so pissed at how her arc concludes. As it feels like a violation of what makes their friendship meaningful.
My favorite friendship between a group - The Mean Girls Squad. I was not expecting to like Bambi and co as much as I did but like. They’re just a fun bunch? They have a very nice dynamic. Each of them is distinct enough and they have a very distinct sort of dynamic with one another. Also it feels fittingly like a group of girls who are friends, honestly. With things like calling one another stupid bitches and sluts.
My favorite mentorship - Yoruichi and Soifon. Which is not surprising. In the slightest. It’s like your classic S story but it’s murder ninjas. One of them is a cranky bee themed horror, the other is a princess that turns into a cat... But like I’ve talked about that a lot so we’ll give a runner up in Urahara and Ichigo. This one I like in part because of how different it is a mentor-student relationship. Enough so that I didn’t entirely ping onto it being the case for a bit because I’m kind of dumb that way. But like...It is one. It’s just an odd one. One that’s not based around specific formalities. It’s one based around breaking rules. Finding ways to break those rules. Existing outside but understanding the inside. Urahara is like...A Zen master. His teaching style is odd. It stands against the norm and some may even say it is in contempt of said norm! But that is part of why Ichigo is able to reach the heights he is. It’s part of why he is able to understand the core of what being a Soul Reaper is. Because Urahara created weird ass unorthodox teaching methods that pointed directly at the problem.
My favorite rivalry - Ichigo and Grimmjow. This I think is like...the first I’ve ever talked about Grimmjow, really? He is not like my favorite, favorite but like. I do like the sort of just raw, brutal “I want to beat you into the fucking ground and kill you” thing going on between him and Ichigo. It’s not sophisticated. It’s not complicated. It’s just two buff sword boys being like “Oh I wanna kick your ass. You’re strong.” And there’s just something appealing about that purity.
My favorite hatred/antipathy - Soifon’s 100 hate boner for Yoruichi. Because it’s just...Part of what is great about it is that it is a hatred born out of love. She never really stopped loving and adoring Yoruichi. But she’s hurt and she didn’t have a chance to get over that so she’s just resentful for years. Resentful enough that she does put a sincere effort into killing Yoruichi. Had she not tried to pull out shunko and then get dunked on she may well have done it. And that probably would have broken her. At the least she could not survive the narrative having succeeded in her vengeance. She’d end up like Komamura or Gin. In the dirt. Gin’s hatred for Aizen is a very close runner up though because like... Gin was playing the long game there and he kept up the act super well. And part of what I love about said long game is like what role this played narratively for the readers. Gin is so obviously sketchy that you are drawn to him immediately. It distracts you from Aizen and then his obviously sketchiness distracts you from the fact that he is not actually fond of Aizen. It distracts you from the fact that he means to kill this bitch and has meant to for ages. He is such a clever sneak. Such a spiteful one. In a better world Gin would live.
My favorite potential relationship between characters who never talk in canon - I have constructed an entire goofy ass dynamic between Orihime and Soifon as friends. Which initially started as like a knowing that I needed Soifon to get friends SOMEWHERE and also needing to have like someone who could help her with her weird Yoruichi issues. And the question was. Who. Who out of the cast could possibly provide Soifon with advice. Who on earth could handle a pissed off and depressed Soifon? There is only one option and it is the woman who is so very much sunshine incarnate that the personification of nihilism couldn’t stand against her. Soifon can be bitchy all she wants but she cannot beat Orihime. She will fall to her as all do. And because Soifon respects strength, she will respect Orihime for that. Also I just like imagining Ichigo only learning about this when Soifon stops by their home one day unannounced and he just opens the door to a very angry wasp woman.

So... Did you hear about the new TWEWY game coming out yet?
Oooohhhh boy. Neo. I have heard about Neo, and I’m not happy.
Let me start by saying that Sho Minamimoto is my favorite character. I love him SO much. And every single reason for this lies in his villainy (no matter what a younger, more morality-obsessed me would try to tell you). This is a young rebel who decides he wants to fight God and rule over all dead people in this city. He asserts his dominance by chucking Dadaist trash piles all over the place and going “This is MINE because I put my TRASH here!” He’s an utter slimeball and that’s why he’s ENJOYABLE to me.
I do not see any of this magic being recaptured so long as he has to play nice with the hero team.
Maybe he won’t be redeemed. He could be the Token Evil Teammate – though that still wouldn’t allow him as much freedom and fun as his days of roping angels and the FORBIDDEN type of evil encounter monster into a grand conspiracy. Or he could be a Twist Villain, but let’s be real – modern media is never that obvious about who the twist bad guy is.
(Except No Straight Roads, which understood that a predictable Twist Villain is an effective one. ILSYM NSR. But that studio is considerably smaller than Squenix and can do what it wants, like allowing its voice actors to say a queer ship the fans made is good. Oh, I long for the day when a Squenix developer will actually validate even ONE of our gay ships in FF or KH.)
The other thing is that I only very recently just checked out A New Day’s scenes. Like, a week ago. Remember when I put up that edit of Coco Atarashi x Symonne from Tales of Zestiria? That’s the timeframe to mark. Listen. I grew up on old-school TWEWY on the DS. I never played any of the Remixes. So after seeing enough content of Coco on my dash, I was like “I should actually watch the epilogue that has this cool Reaper who pretends to be cute but isn’t” (an archetype I like a lot these days).
The thing about A New Day is that we live in a post-KHIII world, which kinda affects how I view all of Squenix. A New Day felt like KHIII levels of complication. Not like the “KH is complicated” jokes of old in which it was just long and had lots of continuity so people were like “This is too much to keep track of” (which it wouldn’t have been if they’d packaged the Remix games on the same console from the start, but I digress). As in how in III and the prequel/Daybreak era, Nomura and his crew have started throwing in alternate realities and time travel because they keep getting bored with the plot they’re doing now and want to make it something else. You know what else KHIII did a lot of? Villain redemptions. Vexen, who is even dearer to me than Sho, became not only a hero, but a hero who lost all of his personality. Most fanfics I’ve seen that deal with his redemption at least keep him in character to who Vexen used to be. But canon decided he doesn’t even have a personality anymore, and so you wonder why I’m worried about Sho?
Also to consider: the fact that KHIII insists on tying itself to TWEWY lore. I just want to forget the worst parts of that game, but canon won’t let me, the fandom won’t let me, and I’m SURE Neo won’t let me. Neo is going to remind me that Sora yeeted himself into the sun because one (1) of his friends was important than the entire collective of the other people who love him and it’s probably going to have to do with him running around somewhere.
Or it won’t. After all, there’s no hint of that. There’s also no hint it’s going to resolve the cliffhanger from A New Day. Neku is nowhere to be found, even though Sho was supposed to be his partner. Coco is nowhere to be seen. Sho’s existence and the naming of Hype-Chan are the only proof I have that AND is going to be followed up on at all (BTW, “Tsugumi”? Nothing objectively wrong with it; I’m just so deep in the DanganRonpa hole that I will constantly say “Tsumugi” by accident). And maybe the other stuff’s hidden because the crew is guarding spoilers, but those are all plot threads we very clearly expected as of AND, so there’s nothing to spoil if you cut your footage right. It seems so backward to me that we have to design a whole new crew of characters to take over the story to finish a plot that involves Neku somehow. (Though Nomura is designing them and again, he gets bored with what he’s doing so quickly and wants to move onto the next thing, which means he should really just start making different series or oneshots instead of trying to pack it all into one. TWEWY was best when it was a standalone thing with no worry of series rot.)
It also just feels unfair to me that it has this whole 3D battle system and OG TWEWY just got its 2D system in high-def. Maybe this is because a couple months ago, I was having a chat with a friend about “If you were a game developer, what would you do” and I came up with this whole way to translate the TWEWY UI into the stuff of a fully voice-acted and animated 3D game, and now Neo is halfway there, and obviously the OG could have been translated to this, but it hasn’t been, and you need to understand OG TWEWY in order to get Neo’s plot, so why can’t we streamline them both? REALLY remake OG TWEWY into something that matches its successor? I just love the story and characters of classic TWEWY, and I’d sooner see that all polished up on a new platform and made accessible to a new audience of gamers than just blowing on to a new cast and a plot that I’m really not sure will be good.
But in the end, if Sho Minamimoto is fun, I’ll be happy, and I’m afraid he won’t be. I’m afraid he’ll either go full antihero or be diluted into “evil, but only in his words” by the ball-and-chain of the party around him. Oh, and did I mention I’m gonna be real mad when we eventually have to deal with how Sora fits into this?
I do really, really love Sho’s new coat, though. Like…an insane amount. I might actually reblog fanart of him in that coat if people are drawing it because as much as I am not excited for this game, the costume design is already gorgeous.

Mass Effect: Annihilation thoughts
TL;DR I fucking LOVED IT, a balm to my heart after struggling through Nexus Uprising! Also canonical lesbians! The sweetest quarian & his badass grandma! Elcor Hamlet except this time it’ll make you cry!!!
- Aaaaaah the audiobook reader is Tom Taylorson (so male Ryder)!! Fryda Wolf (female Ryder) read the two others and did a nice job, but man I’m soft for his voice in a way only rivaled by (...outside-of-Overwatch!)Jennifer Hale and Nicholas Boulton haha. He also has a much better handle on the pronunciations and voices for the different alien species -- delightful, I’m still cackling over his pitch perfect elcor impersonation. (Bioware please give him more Scott Ryder to voice I miss my son)
- I’m only about half an hour in and this is already SO much better than Nexus Uprising, it really does feel like a brave new galaxy haha. Very funny, very warm and smart and engaging in how it does its characterization and Valente clearly has affection for the setting and the universe, she and Jemisin both do incredible jobs with these.
- I’m fucking crying laughing at this cross-species near-brawl over a flower arrangement, god I love Mass Effect SO MUCH (what a neat idea though. something blooming quietly even when no one can see it. impractical as hell and hilariously including a high-nutrition celery now, but still neat)
Taylorson continues to wonderful things with the voices, that volus suit sound is so good. (he’s just generally really good at comedy) also a volus bellowing insults ‘moments before punching an anti-bouquet batarian in the groin’ sdafhjklsahfsjadkhfklajshdfkjlsadhf
- a high as a kite elcor... what a time to be alive, to get to read this book
I have already reached the ‘I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS BAR’ stage with these characters, hard boiled drell detective lady and sweet sweet quarian first officer and manically enthusiastic elcor doctor TOT I would die for any one of you!!!
- The quarian/multispecies ark was built for long-term habitation, potentially over multiple generations. So what you’re telling me is that the quarians are the only ones who fucking thought this through and the rest of the Initiative probably should have listened to the people who’ve essentially been living on arks for ages. Who’d’ve thunk huh lol. (I guess the in-universe explanation is that people like the mysterious benefactor just wanted those arks yeeted to Andromeda ASAP, no time to get fancy in case the Reapers changed up their schedule. Fair enough)
- ;n; petition to let senna have a SAM pls (also uh. how happy do you think the stringently anti-AI quarian pathfinder will be when he finds out about everyone else’s SAMs lol lol lol he’s going to PASS OUT FROM RAGE upon meeting ryder. well he sounds like an asshole, I hope he dies so senna gets a chance)
- I can’t BELIEVE yorrik is an anti-stratfordianist, i am betRAYED! disgraceful, how can I still love you knowing this (and yet I do he is extremely funny and sweet)!!! (at least his theory is that this so-called ‘shakespeare’ was actually an elcor, which makes it better somehow lol. anything so long as he’s not an oxfordian tbh)
senna and yorrik’s friendship is so good and wholesome
- I really love the consistent alien POVs in this book, mass effect should indulge in this more -- everyone loves this universe so much, bioware, stop making us squint through a human lense to look at it!!
- oh of course quarian ‘pirates’ exist, the people who’re thrown out of the fleet must be doing something huh.
- haven’t written that many notes in a while just because I’m enjoying myself so much, I keep forgetting
- lfsdkhfsajkldhfskadjhfsjakdfhsdkjfh communist volus!!!! this is not a drill, communist volus! I am completely and utterly charmed by this entire book
- the quarian ancestor VI is so interesting and weirdly touching. senna is adorable (and relatably neurotic lol)
grandma AI smoking T___________T I love everything about this, she’s so cool. the worldbuilding being done around pre-geth revolution rannoch here... exquisite
- way to make me cry about batarians cat valente ;_______;
- the voice acting is SO FUCKING GOOD! I keep forgetting it’s one dude reading all these characters haha, I caught myself wanting to look up who voiced this dying batarian. (special shoutout that he does so many wonderfully distinct and specific female voices!)
- haHA I KNEW the quarian VI was a full AI (or near enough that it makes little difference tbh)!!! this fabulous grandma was self aware the entire time b i t c h e s !!!!
- the running joke of borbala’s ‘you need ______? I can make _______ happen’ is SO satisfying hahaha
ooooooh serious femslash vibes!!!! initially I thought batarian ex-crime matriarch was too old for drell PI, but this is undeniable. (I don’t think we actually ever get to know how old annex is, anyway, come to think of it) I guess if asari get to be five times older than everyone else and still fuck freely this isn’t really that weird lol
- “don’t look! it’s not so bad if you don’t look!” ofhsdalfhskldlsfjas oh senna baby boy
hey qetsi? qetsi both senna and I love grandma liat more than you. stand the fuck down
- NOOOO GRANDMA LIAT ;______________________________________;
- do you think SAM could meet liat (either ship!liat or just grandma!liat).... and have... a friend ;_________; (a cool laidback friend who isn’t a murderous angaran ai who might very well go the murder suicide sort of friendship route lol)
anyway I miss SAM a lot and love him??
- yorrik noooooooooooo this is awful everything is bad and terrible I love all of them so much why must senna be sad and watch everything he loves fade away 😭😭😭
“Will all great Neptune’s ocean wash this blood/Clean from my hand?” He realized he’d forgotten to preface the words with an emotion. Now they wouldn’t understand what he meant.
Oh. Oh what a way to drive home the sadness and loneliness of this moment f u c k (and again the emotion taylorson brings to it jesus cHRIST)
I’m destroyed over how much senna and yorrik love each other, cross species found family out here wrecking my heart in true mass effect style
- yorrik is such a great character though. he’d be so easy to make a one-note joke character (like most elcor have been in canon lbr), but there’s nuance and depth and just enough satsifyingly believable alienness there. (I love the staunch elcor ‘you can’t call anything love that hasn’t lasted at least two centuries’ perspective haha) his memories of his childhood and disappointment with his profession and everything... goodnight sweet prince indeed :(
- they went and made elcor hamlet heartbreaking how dare they
(to be real for a second I think some of the human culture references are a little bit clunky, but the elcor hamlet stuff is perfect. contextualizing a throwaway joke from the original trilogy and giving it emotional depth, helping us see it from the elcor perspective and how frustrating and lonely it is to be so fundamentally not emotionally understood or seen on a level most of the other races are, despite their other differences, even though you have all these feelings and want to communicate... its very good.)
fun additional fact: both mordin and yorrik have played/wanted to play polonius in a production of hamlet! though I guess mordin is the slightly problematic fave in that duo and yorrik is a sweet melancholic angel who has never done anything wrong in his life, I would say protect him but I guess it’s too late for that D:
- qetsi giving off some real ophelia vibes here, I wish yorrik was here to see it, he’s the only one who’d properly appreciate it despite it all
- I. am. SO FUCKING HUNGRY for more mass effect after this (well even more so than usual) I’m so hyped!! I love this universe so much! I want a new andromeda game with senna as quarian pathfinder and grandma liat as the ship’s AI and see how they interact with ryder and SAM! (honestly though I feel like senna might be the one who’d translate the most cleanly into a game, I think there’s a lot of potential in him that’s barely being realized towards the end there with his deep righteous rage cutting through his uncertainty. also I just want nice things for him. is that so much to ask. he is a good boy, yorrik was so right.)
- aaaah not just femslash vibes, canonical lesbians, this is not a drill! I can’t wait until they propose... ‘we get shit done together, want to be in good cop/bad cop with me until the day we die y/n?’
- the ME universe doesn’t feel quite itself without all these ‘background’ species hanging around, I suddenly realize. I dream of an Andromeda sequel with all of them on the board and in play again Y-------Y
- potential Liat and SAM dynamics are so fucking interesting though! if she becomes/is confirmed as a full AI (all I hope and dream of), you’ll have two artificial intelligences with such different starting points but not that dissimilar goals? Liat was an organic person once who’s looking out for her family even now, and SAM is completely artificial but also intimately tied to and protecting His People. (and pulling a whole lot of symbolic weight re: the strength of familial/interpersonal relationships to boot; he’s the best way alec ryder managed to connect with his children. even though he was dead. because as established alec ryder was a disaster of a person)
- I enjoyed the loose murder mystery structure of this quite a lot, but that might also be because nexus uprising is so shapeless and meandering by comparison that I’d be relieved by anything else (sorry I’ll stop ragging on NU soon it just. took some hours of my life I can’t get back)
- jemisin did great stuff for characters already in andromeda (cora, SAM, alec ryder) and valente made me remember just why I love this universe so much and desperately want these aspects brought to andromeda too... and now I’ve exhausted all the fresh mass effect content I had available to me and will sit here consumed with lust for the rest of the time it takes for a new game to be announced thank you and goodbye
#mass effect#mass effect andromeda#mass effect annihilation#*vibrates silently with cravings for more mass effect all while knowing it's gonna be a good goddamn while yet*#thank you cat valente this was a very nice gift

Legacy Epilogue: Carrying the Torch
*”You got this,” the young girl reminded herself. She had done this several times over now, hyping herself up. Her opponent was inches away, rearing to sink its fangs and claws into her flesh. Gripping her spear-scythe hybrid weapon in her hands she turned to her adversary, wind flowing gently through her blonde, red patched hair. Taking a deep breath, straightening her back and setting her shoulders, she faced the beast, widening her silver eyes to vaporize it from existence*
... ... ...
“OH COME ON!!!”
*She cried in outrage, throwing her weapon to the ground, quickly following suit by crumbling to her knees, hands over her face, not looking at the wooden Beowolf dummy. Waves of emotions collided over her, frustration, anger, distress, pretty much everything. “Of course it wouldn’t work, why the hell did I get my hopes up?! I’m never going to be Huntress..”*
Ruby: Well well well, look who’s out here at midnight? You okay, Blossom?
Blossom, startled: O-oh, hi mom! *turns away and wipes her eyes* I was...just practicing with Aureum Mortem! Nothing wrong here, haha!
Ruby: ...
Blossom: Mom, I’m fine. I need to go sleep now, so *gets stopped* can you *stopped again* let me in?! *gets hugged, silence, then she finally lets her tears fall, sobbing into her mother’s bosom*
Ruby: I’ve known your father long enough to know what “I’m fine” really means, Petal. Talk to me, alright? *sits down on the porch*
Blossom: *sniff* I...I feel lost.
Ruby: How so?
Blossom: Mom, listen. Garnet and Citrus are making strides ahead of me. Garnet’s finished Signal already and well on his way to Beacon, Citrus is making huge discoveries with her Semblance, and where am I? Pushing myself to use some dumb spear-scythe, having a Semblance that’s just a crappier version of yours, and I can’t even use my Silver Eyes like you! WHAT GOOD OF A HUNTRESS AM I IF I CAN’T DO ANY OF THA-?!
*Ruby embraced Blossom, the small girl crying into her mother’s shoulder. Remnant’s Reaper was stunned, she didn’t know her own daughter was going through this much turmoil, moreso hiding it so well and for this long for that matter*
Ruby: Sweetie, you’re brother and sister aren’t better than you, if you’re thinking that, you are dead wrong, your Semblance isn’t “crappy,” it’ll become something great. Please don’t ever think like that again, okay?
Blossom: *sniff* O-*hic*-okay...
Ruby: Garnet and Blossom are making progress like any other person, you are too, just at a different speed is all. That doesn’t mean it’s bad, it means as long as you keep trying, you’ll get to where they are in no time.
Blossom: Thank you mom...I really needed to hear that. Can...can I stay out here a bit longer, I want to try with my eyes one more time.
Ruby, chuckling: Okay, but I’m staying out to supervise you, plus you still sound sad so I’ll sing that song.
Blossom: Oh, god, mom don’t. You start singing, I’ll start crying, then you’ll start crying, and It’s just gonna be a mess.
Ruby: I didn’t hear either of you kids complain when your father and I sang it to you as babies to put you to sleep!
Blossom: Alright, alright! But, can you skip to the middle part of it? Can’t use my eyes if I’m crying.
Ruby: Sure thing, Petal. *The red reaper clears her throat, what happens next can only described as two angels, performing a duet to span millennia*
R: Don’t come to question, all that you know~...
B: Remember you are not alone, I will be here~...
R: Standing beside you~! *they both stand*
R/B: There is no mountain, too tall to overcome, we will be as one~!
R: Rise again~.
B: This is, your legacy~.....
*A moment of reprieve, Blossom rubbed her eyes of any remaining tears, finally looking her mother in the eyes, silver met silver*
Blossom: Thank you, mom.
Ruby: Anytime, my petal. Now go show that Beowolf dummy who’s boss, and big tip, think of the one’s you love, who you want to protect.
*”The ones I want to protect...” Blossom ingrained this into her mind. With that, she approached her wood-carved opponent once more, taking a deep breath, and closing her eyes. Everything in Blossom’s life flashed before her; her brother Garnet and the two of them going out in the woods, Citrus and her playing dolls with each other, her mom and dad, her Aunt Yang, her grandparents Taiyang, Qrow, and Raven, her honorary aunts and uncles, her friends...and that snow white bonehead Nikolas Schnee. “God what do I see in him,” she pondered, a slight blush creeping on her cheeks. Her mind raced, her ears listened to the wind, the sound intensifying. Pretty soon Blossom felt a heat overcome her eyes, growing stronger by the nanosecond...finally, a light, brighter than any known thing on Remnant light up the backyard. And then silence...darkness, a shrill ringing in her years...head pounding, Ruby calling her daughters name as Blossom fell to the ground.*
-Inside-
Citrus: What happened, is she okay?!
Garnet; I-I saw a light from our window, and it just...stopped!
Ruby: Okay, okay, calm down, your sister’s going to be fine! She just overexerted herself, that’s all! *she consoled her oldest and youngest children*
Jaune: *healing Blossom’s eyes* Some overexertion, what were you two doing?
Ruby: Blossom...was trying to use her silver eyes. She wasn’t getting anywhere and I thought I could help and, well.....
Blossom: *groans* ...what...happened?
Garnet: She’s awake!
Citrus: Are you alright?
Blossom: Y-yeah, I just can’t see well right now, my vision’s blurry and my eyes hurt...
Jaune: Let me see.
*As the knight helped his daughter open her eyelid, he almost gasped in shock. Blossom’s eye was horrendously bloodshot, her pupil almost dilated to nothing but a faint black dot.*
Blossom: Is it bad...?
Jaune: Let’s...let’s get you some eye-drops.
Garnet: *whispering to Citrus* Is that even gonna fix anything?
Citrus: *shrugs*
Ruby: *sighs* Okay you two, it’s been a long night, time for bed. Your sister’s gonna sleep down here for tonight until we get thing’s situated in the morning. Now go brush your teeth!
Garnet/Citrus: ‘Kay!
*Off they went, Ruby now turned to her middle child*
Ruby: Everything’s gonna be okay, Petal, we’ll figure this out.
Blossom: But...but what if we don-OW!
Jaune: *pinching her cheek* No more second guessing, do you trust us?
Blossom: Let me go, I don’t want my cheek to hurt too!
Ruby: *pinching her other cheek* Say you trust us!
Blossom: I trust you!!! I trust you!!!!! *gets her cheeks back* Mean...
Ruby/Jaune: We love you too.
-Later in Jaune and Ruby’s room-
Jaune: Wait, you saw what come from her eyes???
Ruby: Wings...six wings manifested from her eyes, made from the silver energy.
Jaune: Isn’t that normal for Silver Eyed Warriors though?
Ruby: Technically but, it’s usually two, I’ve never heard of six before, let alone being possible...
Jaune: Certainly a discovery for the ages, haha.
Ruby: Jaune, this is serious, what if something happens because of this, what if Blossom hurts herself Who’s going to come after her!? *her chin was cupped by her lover’s hand, a gentle kiss place on her lips*
Jaune: Hey, we’ll sort this out. We’ll take her to a doctor and if they don’t have a solution?
Ruby: Ozpin?
Jaune: We may as well, who else but the great wizard.
Ruby: You’re right, let’s head to bed, I’m exhausted.
*A new beginning, a new page in a never ending story of a lineage of powerful warriors, and a torch carrier to lead on the legacy of her mother’s, a new Grimm Reaper*
(A/N: I feel that Legacy is the perfect song that describes Blossom. She wants to be strong to protect her loved ones, a desire for strength no matter how hard she pushes herself. And no I won’t shut the fuck up about how sad yet uplifting this song is.)

I'm playing Mass Effect Andromeda last mission I think and....im not too excited...or worried... Or anything really.... Up to this point I was really hyped though so this is a bit of a bummer...
So overall.... 6.5....okay. 7. Because I love my MC.. 7/10
We were in 1 cluster so it makes sense that there were 1 new species (not counting the Kett who are invaders and Jardaan long gone) ... It's like... some group of aliens dropping to the solar system and trying to colonize it so that was also a bit...off-putting to me along with the White Savior feel..... I like the Angara as a species though even though they were a bit too human I love the lion-esque design and the colours.
They didn't seem more or less emotional than anyone as they tried to emphasize so many times... What happened to show not tell
I loved some of the crew... Like Jaal. Vetra. Cora grew on me. Drack. Couldn't care less about Peebee or Liam or.. Suvi...that pilot or engineer. I'm sorry. I don't get that 'family' feel the game forces onto you. Maybe as Cora put 'some more than the others' i felt more at home during the brief time in Jaal's childhood home.
Great side characters 👌 Kandros... Sloane... Kesh... Tann (yes Tann) Evfra... Moshae... Raeka... Morda... They were pretty great they didn't deserve this.
I loved the whole arc about the Angara creation... Kett.....there can be made SO many theories... Them being sleeper agents... Being connected to Reapers and so on... It's left very open-ended. Perfect for someone who likes to think things through me
Ryder — I love my main character but changed them so much I can hardly call them Ryder at this point lol I don't like what's presented to me in the game. I don't like having such a rigid backstory.
Because it's recent — why don't your companions 'family members" supposedly react to you dying? Again and again. I'd tear up a little if my best friend dropped dead in front of me it's so weird... Even Jaal says nothing. Where are your emotions bro???
Which brings me to my main point. I think... The subject. Perfect. Setting. Good. We're technically refugees which should have been brought up —But...its like everyone's high as fuck no one's reacting to anything. The situation is as terrible as the OT. It's not something to take lightly. Here you are... With billions of people on the verge of starving, battling an alien race hell-bent on killing you all... I guess they mixed some Xanax to the Initiative's water resources? Okay, I knew it was gonna be lighthearted than in that case don't put subjects like genocide, invasion, neverending war into it because they ARE the main problems and... No one... Is... ANGRY. ARE YOU DRUNK RYDER
Like... This Angara... They are fighting for decades... DECADES. How is this a lighthearted game? How are they trusting the aliens - us so easily.
Roekaar is such a pitiful imitation of Cerberus... Poor man's Cerberus if you will... Off-brand... Cerberus. They are neither scary nor interesting. Or cool... Or sympathetic. Not because they hate aliens as they should but because they are so...so....meh... A nuisance.
🤷♂️
I got bored of writing... Which oddly enough reflects my entire game experience too.
So... I can see why it got harsh critics some undeserved but... I can see why...Not dying to make a playthrough again any soon. Will I write about my Ryder? Yes, she deserves better. This game feels like a dry piece of toast. Good base. No flavour. It's stripped of drama and feelings in the name of making something different than the original trilogy. No conflict doesn't make for an interesting story.
And Evfra... Supposedly "very grumpy" uhh... No? Have yall seen very grumpy before because this is just me waking up at 8 am on a normal day.
Anyways..
#thots no one asked#no regrets tho its a cool game..and this time i liked it enough to write sth about it..the first time i just..played..and hated it lmao#mass effect andromeda#su.txt

Could you possibly do an imagine where they're show casing all the new heroes and a small but bad ass girl comes out and stuns all might. They start to get to know each other but one day she catches him in his small form and he gets insecure but fluff ending!!!
Toshinori Yagi x Fem! Reader
Note: none.
You weren’t supposed to be as bad ass and strong as you were. You were a five foot girl who looked like she couldn’t harm a fly. Once a agency signed you and seen your work, they were immediately taken back. You didn’t cause damage, your quirk was strong and you didn’t even come from U.A. High School. You hailed from Ketsubutsu Academy and not a lot of people paid attention to them.
The agency that signed you was the same one that signed All Might when he first became a hero. Soon enough, they started show casing their top heroes in order to gain some leverage on other agencies.
You were among the first ones to be invited. Your quirk had the ability to trick villains into thinking that they were dead. You were a grim reaper of sorts but without actually killing anyone. It was first seen as a dangerous quirk because if you let it get out of hand, you could actually kill them but after training and learning how to control it, it wasn’t bad.
The day of the event came and you were told to dress in business formal clothes but to make sure that your identity was hidden. In the end, you sported a black and white knee high dress with a mouth guard and a domino mask. It looked bad ass as hell and you were seriously considering your hero uniform.
They lined up six different people and you happened to be dead last. Everyone at the show case was extremely tall but they all had quirks that you had seen before. Your quirk was a unique one that would make you stand out. Hearing everyones name and watching their hype video, you finally heard your name.
“(your hero name), she graduated from Ketsubutsu Academy and went on to travel the world for hero work. After finally signing to our agency, we groomed her to the best damn hero anyone has seen on such a small girl. With the ability to trick villains into thinking that they’re dead, she has captured and turned in over 30+ villains.”
They went on to explain your quirk even more and while everyone was stunned, you couldn’t help but laugh. After the video, they were playing “Dark Ages” by Thomas Bergersen as you stepped out.
The crowd didn’t expect you to be so small and you stood in line with the other heroes.
“Please welcome you’re newest top heroes!”
All Might sat in the crowd over looking the heroes that would soon replace him. The one he couldn’t wrap his around was you. Your quirk was so unique but you were so tiny. You looked like one of his students, height wise.
Once the showcase was over, there was a cocktail dinner in order to get older heroes to interact with the newer ones. All Might spoke to the newest heroes first in order to get to talk to you more. He noticed you with Present Mic and Midnight.
“Ah! All Might! Have you met (your hero name)!” Present Mic asked enthusiastically.
All Might nodded no but he noticed your face was struck with shock.
“Holy shit, you’re All Might. The symbol of peace! Jesus fucking christ, I’m about to pass out,” You said without realizing what you actually said. “I am so sorry but I’m a huge fan. I’m so excited to finally meet you.”
All Might laughed at your amusement, “Nice to meet you! It’s such a pleasure meeting someone with your unique quirk! You’ll do a great service to this agency!”
Your mouth dropped in surprise and soon realized that Midnight and Present Mic had left which left you and All Might.
“You really did inspire me to become a hero! I was entering college when your first came on the scene and I can tell you that everyone in the room was so admired by your work when you defeated the villain,” You confessed. “I hope to reach your level of hero work one day.”
All Might felt himself already slowly falling for you. No one had ever gushed about his work like that before. No one besides Izuku.
“With time, training and work, you will reach great things,” All Might boasted. “Would you mind if I treated you for a drink.”
You immediately accepted the offer and the two of you made your way to the bar. Sitting down and talking over some whisky, the conversation continued for over two hours.
All Might looked down to his watch and seen that he had to leave before his body left, “I have some late night patrolling to do. I hope to see you around!”
You nodded and waved him off. Just as you were about to get up, you noticed that All Might had left his number on a napkin. You felt yourself squealing internally and immediately put the napkin in your pocket.
After texting each other and setting up a date, you felt a bit scared for actually going on a date with him. What if others seen it as some kind of way to be more popular? That you were only using All Might in order to gain popularity from the rest of the world.
The date went smoothly as a first date could go. The two of you went to a secret restaurant that Midnight had offered. It was an exclusive club for heroes who wanted to date other heroes without getting caught.
After a few more dates, the two of you started to date. The topic of revealing each others real identities was mentioned but you knew that it had to happen if the relationship was going to be serious. You had no problem revealing your real self to All Might but he was the one who hesitated.
The world knew about the relationship between you and All Might. The two of you exposed it and it got great reception from the public. The two of you teamed up a lot more and some of the public basically praised the ground you walked on.
All Might did have his issues though. He could tell that a few new heroes had their eyes on you. You were attractive, smart, funny and knew how to interact with a crowd. You were everything that All Might used to be. Since he knew that he had to retire soon, you were going to be by yourself and working with other heroes.
The time that it really hit him was when you and Hawks were teaming up. You were kicking the villains ass while Hawks saved people. It seemed that the two of you worked a lot faster and while you did work at a great pace with All Might, he still felt that insecurity in the back of his mind.
You were getting ready for a date and you knew that something was up with All Might. He was starting to leave dates a lot faster and not really participating in battles unless it was a serious one.
Slipping on the domino mask, you heard the doorbell. You quickly put on your shoes and ran to the door. You seen All Might standing at your doorway with flowers in his hand.
“All Might, they’re beautiful,” You whispered as you ushered him inside. “Let me put this in a cup and we can head out.”
It didn’t take less than a minute before you heard coughing fit. Quickly turning around, you were greeted to someone else. A frail man with blood streaming down his face.
“All Might?!” You screamed in a questioning tone. “What the hell, get in here!”
You grabbed him by the wrist and brought him inside. Grabbing a towel, you wiped his mouth.
“All Might, what in the hell is going on,” You asked as you sat him down. “You better tell me what’s going on or I’m going to force it out of you.”
He sighed, “I’m Toshinori Yagi, the eighth person who held the One for All quirk.”
You nodded, “Is this the real you?”
“Yes it is and if this relationship is willing to continue, you’re going to have to accept me for what I really look like. I might not be the muscular guy you fell in love with but this is who I am,” Toshinori confessed.
You hugged him and kissed his cheek, “Toshnori, I don’t care how you look. Yeah, i might have fell in love with the muscular you but you look far better now. This is the real you.”
You slowly took off your domino mask and ripped off your mouth guard, “If this is what kept you from me, I’m sorry. We agreed to be together and when people fall in love, we have to fall in love with everything.”
Toshinori sighed of relief, “Now can we go out like regular people instead of hiding behind masks and mouth guards?”
“Duh, now let’s get you some fresh clothes and go do something fun. The amusement park literally opened a few days ago and I’ve been dying to ride some rides,” You confessed as you immediately got up to your feet.

Devil May Cry 5 Download
The Legend Of Cry Woman's Bridge
Have you ever wondered the least expensive and quickest way to resolve issues? Jason King, former OL 1994-1998. Now in his 6th season as a member of the MHS Blue Devil coaching employees. COLLEGE: Valdosta State. 3 year starter. 2001 - All-Gulf South Conference Very first Group and 4 various All-American Teams. He was a First how to download devil may cry 5 Group choice on the Daktronics, Inc., Don Hansen Weekly Football Gazette, , and AP Little All-American teams, respectively. Finally, he was a named to the East Squad for the 2001 Cactus Bowl, the Division II All-Star Game in Kingsville, Texas, in which he led the East Squad to victory.
As the action starts the city already seems half destroyed, and is infested with insect-like creatures and grim reaper variety enemies. The basic combat is equivalent to Devil Might Cry four, with the ability to use guns, Nero's sword the Red Queen (which can nonetheless be revved like the throttle on a motorbike), and a Devil Breaker move. The latter is tied to Nero's major new gimmick: a series of detachable hands that imbue distinct Devil May Cry 5 download specific skills and which can carry out an even more strong attack that also destroys them. You commence off with four and lots a lot more can be located lying about the game globe - even though it is unclear how considerably of that was purely for the purposes of the demo.
It feels so excellent to have Capcom's golden youngster back and ready to kick some ass. Trusted Evaluations has compiled every thing you require where i can download devil may cry 5 to know about Devil May possibly Cry five like all the latest news, trailers, gameplay preview and more.
Devil May Cry five (2019) runs on the RE Engine game engine. Devil Could Cry five (2019) requires a Radeon R9 380 graphics card with a Core i7-4770 4-Core three.4GHz or Ryzen R5 1500X processor to attain the suggested specs, attaining higher Devil May Cry 5 download graphics setting on 1080p. Also your Computer wants eight GB RAM to meet the rec specs and run at 60 frames. Minimum RAM specifications are 8 GB technique memory. Your graphics card will require to be capable of operating DirectX 11.
The Devil May Cry series is 1 of the most iconic franchises in the action genre. The freeform action encourages improvisation, and the ranking program pushes players to discover how to evade enemies, while creatively sustaining their combos. The $59.99 Devil May Cry five Devil May Cry 5 download, the upcoming series entry, streamlines beloved elements from prior games and adds new mechanics to master. We played Devil May Cry five on Xbox One, but Capcom is also releasing it as a Pc game It's searching really excellent.
How to download and install the complete version of Devil Might Cry five on your computer?
MO: So, I feel from the senior producer viewpoint I think we can all say and agree that a single of Capcom's strengths is action, correct? And so we do have men and women up best that are like, ‘Hey, we need to adhere to this trend, or we should comply where i can download devil may cry 5 with that trend'. And from my viewpoint I also think about it from the method of, ‘Well appear, if we adhere to this trend then we all of a sudden have to fight and compete with all of these distinct firms and all of these incredible games'.
Ten years after the debut of Devil Could Cry 4, Nero is back in the driver's seat and he's by no means looked far better. It's not just the haircut, either - Devil Might Cry 5 runs on the RE Engine built for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard , and Capcom's objective how to download devil may cry 5 is to construct a photorealistic game filled with gooey demons, witty 1-liners and flashy combos. The title's initial hands-on demo at Gamescom 2018 highlights these exact elements and wraps all of it up in an ichor-crusted, gorgeous package.
With the phenomenal success of videogame Devil Could Cry 4, the white-haired demon hunter Dante was in a lot more demand than ever. Even so, parent company Capcom and Ninja Theory felt the original Dante's trademark attitude had grown stale. So they went back to the drawing board and came up with an even more Devil May Cry 5 Download intense game: DmC: Devil May Cry. Does DmC Dante reside up to the game's hype? Read on.
Given that then the game has been re-invented a number of instances and is accessible a cross a huge number of platforms. The game series is identified for its crisp action gameplay, fantastic soundtracks and effectively Devil May Cry 5 Download presented cutscenes. The games are also identified for their high difficulty level producing it a fantastic game for men and women interested in a challenge.
I came up with the style doc for this and it was like, ‘You know what? What I wanna do is I wanna make it, very first priority, make a game, a sequel, that any individual who's played Devil Could Cry four or DmC Devil May Cry will get pleasure from. And then, of course, ideally, also make anything, as a secondary target… anything how to download devil may cry 5 that a wider group of people will be in a position to take pleasure in. But that's just some thing I imposed on myself for, ‘If I am gonna make this game, that is what I ought to be carrying out. These are the folks I should be thinking about'.

Huester's Pacing Thoughts (HBOMax/WB Discovery and Animation)
Decided to post this on Tumblr of all places because 1) I don't really feel like making a twitter thread that may not even fit all of my thoughts, and 2) I haven't been getting much satisfaction typing on a word document recently because school started back up and I can't seem to use it without thinking about that, apparently.
I just wanted to utilize this energy I've built up while pacing around the room with my thoughts to ramble about my current gripes with the whole thing between HBOMax/Waner Bros Discovery and animation. I'll probably regret this later, as I get totally overwhelmed speaking my mind, but animation literally means the world to me and I'm feeling mighty courageous right now, so I'll give it a shot.
IDK how long this is gonna be, so I'll put a small wall here to bless your scrolling experience. You're so super welcome :)
Yo, you actually care about what I have to say? Thank the blue moon!
My thoughts may not be communicated well, due to me feeling so strongly about this, so I apologize if my writing comes off as a little clumsy.
I don't know a single person who thinks the opposite so far (other than the people behind this, apparently), but I'm extremely frustrated with the decision made to erase several animated shows from the platform. Shows like Close Enough, Infinity Train, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart (my beloved), and Mighty Magiswords (my beloved and my childhood) are all being tossed into a drenched wasteland, totally inaccessible to the public (maybe unless you pirate or something). Not only that, but the history of these shows are being replaced by space, too! From what I hear, the Infinity Train pilot and all other content has been deleted off of Cartoon Network's YouTube Channel and the show's soundtrack has recently been removed from streaming services, such as Spotify.
In addition to the above, all future content for these shows has also gone down the drain. For example, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart was supposed to get a second season - one that my brother and I hyped over for 2 YEARS - fully complete and ready to go, only for this to happen and the season to never see the light of day.
This is where the knuckles get cracking. And I mean AUDIBLE cracking.
I am beat by the constant disservice of animation. We - the people who care - are beat by the constant disservice of animation. Not only is it massively disrespectful to the series, but it's disrespectful to the team(s) behind them, the fans of the content, and to the people who pay for this streaming service just for these shows (I know you all are out there... maybe...).
It's not just HBOMax, either, though. It's some major houses in general, contributing to the fall of what made them rise to begin with. They're just about being their own grim reapers, in a weird sense. I very much understand that new heads and whatnot run these houses, but the fact that they have that position to begin with should mean that they care at least a bit about these properties and their history. I tend to forget, though, that that's not always the case.
There are so many other examples of animation and the people behind them getting similar levels of disrespect, other than the complete erasure of them from the face of the Eather. A major part of that having to do with how animation is perceived, from the looks of it. You've got the teams of these shows being mildly overworked and underpaid (and still fighting for fair treatment) and animation being boosted less than whatever else we've got going around. While the thought of at least some stuff getting pushed is great, it's also super degrading and exhausting at the same time.
These points further enforce the false idea of animation being a medium "just for kids," and therefore not worth the same amount of time and recognition - and being viewed as less valuable - than whatever else is being produced in other storytelling mediums.
Coming from someone who is a minor, animation is not "just for kids." Never has been, and never will be.
Coming from someone who has had past experience with animation, has been wanting to get back into it and take it seriously, and has a brother whose been working on a webseries of his own for the past 2 years now with a totally neat crew of voice actors, other animators, and background artists, it is a lot of work, and deserves all of the attention in the world.
Coming from someone who is passionate about storytelling, animation is the best form of it we have ever had, and probably ever will have... unless something better comes into the mix and outshines it, which I doubt.
You wanna know why I doubt that?
Because animation is art, and art is forever.
Art is created by the hands of the soul. Sometimes, many souls. Art often reveals the journey of the person who created it, usually about a truth or lesson that they have grown to learn and wishes to share with others creatively, as a way to provide a sense of comfort to the viewer during their points of struggles, or just to entertain someone for even a second with something that catches their eye. Art comes with authenticity, intention, and a vision that the creator was willing to share with the world. To have their work consumed alive by some greedy time eater - acting like it never existed - is not only insulting, but it's also a major slap in the face; a shot to the heart. You're looking at the creator - who chose to be vulnerable - dead in the eyes, and saying, "You do not matter."
I don't know about you, but if that were me and my months-to-years of hard work, I would've combusted on the spot, have it be internally or externally. Maybe both, if I'm really feeling it.
So uh... yeah. That happened. We're all upset and somewhat hogwild. Now what?
Well, from what I've seen, people have been using this opportunity to boost and support indie animation until the big boys respawn into their senses. To that I say: GOD BLESS!
I am very much in love with indie animation, major reason why I usually have nothing to talk about with my friends, and although all of this is very crappy, and we will NEVER forget it (best wishes to the teams and their hard work lost into time), the fact that this idea was the result of it is literally heart-throbbing to me! Like I love to see it! Even though I love indie animation, I actually don't have a lot of stuff on my radar, so I'm willing to see what pops out of this.
To end this on a groovy note, go check out and support indie productions! As much as you can! Recommend some by commenting, if you made it this far and wish to share! WE ALL GOTTA EAT!!
Go look at Monkey Wrench and Defenders of Alodia! Go binge Eddsworld, Madness Combat, and Battle for Dream Island again! I'm this close to watching Helluva Boss, despite me not yet being of age, because I want to support the series as much as me and my dry wallet self can! (Had some second thoughts. Changed my mind. Still, go support it!)
There's another show known as Wayfarers of the Multiverse that I heard about on Instagram, supposedly releasing a pilot soon, if not already, so there's another one to go look at!
Also, shameless plug of my brother's own work, inspired by Battle for Dream Island, called Battle for Wonderland. It's still in the works and only has a few clips and a short posted right now, but a plan to release still holds to this year. I also voice act a character in that show, so all the more reason to check it out LMAO!
I'll provide links to all of these in time :)
Maybe, at some point, we can have a streaming service made SPECIFICALLY for animation, hopefully by people of the community, so we can have a home for stories of all sizes and prevent stuff like this from happening in the future, because these stories matter.
(or we could just get DVDs back in business. That'll work, too.)
