the reason I haven't posted more art in good detail or quality recently is cause I'm not sure if I want to watermark or Nightshade/Glaze it... I use transparent background png a lot and colour flats regularly so I think my art may be in a lot of danger of being damaged by the process.

Might just be time to get a big obnoxious watermark lmao

Eterna's Iceberg of Race Replays

I keep seeing people asking about how to watch MotoGP race replays in a financially responsible way, so here's my guide on where to find them!

TIER 1: MotoGP YouTube Channel Playlist MotoGP is probably one of the better racing series in that there are race replays readily accessible on their YouTube channel. They also do have some replays on their Facebook if you have the time to do an archaeological excavation, which I forgot to put on the iceberg (for example the 2014 Qatar GP). Since it's on their official accounts, it's at the top.

TIER 2: Motomundo Many a motoheads' trusted source for replays! Motomundo also has various documentaries, as well as practice, qualifying and testing replays. Motomundo also has a VKVideo account that which you can use if you are so inclined. Unfortunately, it has been reported of late that many of the videos have stopped working, with most of the older races not accessible at all. On the second tier since it is widely recommended and an open secret.

TIER 3: BiliBili (1) (2) This one is kind of unusual! Some endeavoring fans have done a great work of philanthropy by uploading entire seasons of MotoGP replays onto BiliBili, which is basically the Chinese equivalent of YouTube...but more. It can be overwhelming (they have a function where users can write comments which then are displayed on the screen while the video plays, for example) and maybe when I have more time, I could write a guide. Another circumstance of these replays being Chinese reuploads is that the commentary is also in Chinese, and there are some really very ugly watermarks from the broadcast itself that cannot be readily edited out. However, the archive is VERY extensive, although it only comprises of races. On the third tier since BiliBili is very popular in China, but more obscure in the West, and I only found this because I am Chinese and already had knowledge of the platform. The first link leads to a collection in which all the races from 1979-2019 have been uploaded. The second is from the same user, however it is just footage of 2020 testing. Unfortunately it seems that their uploads have paused there, at least for now.

TIER 4: This suspicious ass looking website If you've ventured this far down into the iceberg, I'm assuming that suspicious looking websites that have the potential to give you a virus don't phase you. But nevertheless, as a disclaimer, this website is a little hard to navigate. However, not only does it provide MotoGP coverage (in English), it also covers the feeder series as well and includes them in their race weekend compilations. There are options to view the race in varying resolutions, as well as links to various other uploads on Meta (not THAT Meta) and the like. Unfortunately around 2018 are where the uploads become a bit spotty, with many of the videos being unplayable and the links also leading nowhere. A very warranted tier four rating.

TIER 5: ArchivoGP (1) (2) (3) The reason I placed this one so low is not necessarily because it's better than the rest of the sources (in fact, at time of writing this post a good portion of their videos have been taken offline) but because the story in finding it was actually pretty funny. For context, I was on the hunt for a clip of Marc Marquez giving reigning world champion Pecco Bagnaia the thumbs up at the end of Mugello Q2 (thank you tumblr user suzuki-ecstar for replying to me about this...) and none of the sources I was using (so, any of the above already listed) had that clip. I was gnashing and gnawing my teeth in pain. So where else does one go to find something that is presumably lost? Internet Archive! I really thought this was the end of the road and I would have to clip that moment from a shitty vertical YouTube Short or something. Pain. But then I happen upon a full MotoGP replay. It wasn't of the session I wanted, but when I looked into the user a little further, I saw that they had uploaded various other full race replays. In their bio it was stated that they had a Telegram channel under the same name (ArchivoGP), so I did a Google search and found that they indeed did. Happily, their uploads (which are DAZN broadcasts consisting of pre-GP, practice, qualifying, sprint, feature race, post-GP and also cover the feeder classes) DID have that moment and that is the story of how I finished a fancam with the help of Internet Archive, which once again has saved my life. The three different links above lead to their old site, their new(?) one, and their video archive in question which is hosted on TokyVideo. Unfortunately their archive only dates back to 2020, and as I have stated previously some of them have been taken down.

MISCELLANEOUS: (1) (2) These are some assorted Internet Archive sources which I found while trying to backtrack how I found the previous source. I haven't had the time to actually sort through and vet the videos except for one, the original ArchivoGP user uploads (which is the first link, though I'm not entirely sure because they have since changed the name of the channel).

Hello, I don't know if I'm the first to ask this, but how do you make gifs?

If it's not a problem, could you explain it to someone who had never made gifs, but want to try?

As you can imagine, it's a fresh awoken need, because I think I just got a stroke watching a concert and I wanna try gifing, pls help a fangirl out 🙏

OKAY SO i use a program on my desktop called instagiffer, which actually makes gifmaking very easy once you get the hang of how it works and learn the shortcuts you can take with it. it's pretty easy to learn just messing around with it to see what everything does, but on top of that, i have a very efficient system that's been developing over the years.

so it has the effects panel(which i never use except the enhance one but i've had to switch that off before on certain videos if it looked messed up):

it's got the manual crop thing in the frames dropdown, so you can be more precise about cropping edges out instead of just relying on dragging the corners of the red square around:

as far as i'm aware, the program seems like it's been abandoned for a long time, the website for it hasn't been kept up, the social media pages for it, etc., but it's still available to download in places online somewhere i believe. or if you'd prefer, i could probably send it to you! i can also help with how to use it if you wanna give it a try, and tell/show you my usual routine.

besides that, sometimes i'll use ezgif .com to do things like remove frames or change speed on gifs i've already made or to resize them if i need to because it's quick and doesn't throw a watermark on it, but i think you can make them there too. i haven't done it because it didn't work for me when i was testing it out one day, but it might have just been me being impatient.

A lot's been on my mind...

A lot of it either feel I can't really talk about or it's personal stuff that I prefer to keep private.

I will say this though: the rate AI is advancing if absolutely terrifying me.

Now, normally I prefer to keep posts as short as possible, so I because this is a rant and kind of spur of the moment (and also a long time coming), so I legit have no idea how long I'm going to run on this

Also want to point out before I get into all this, I don't hate AI, but the ways it's being used.

*TL;DR at the end.

Now, let me clarify, this is not just about the image generators, but everything involving itself in creative fields and possibly beyond. We're basically at the point where you can't tell what's real anymore. I say this as I just prior to me starting to write (March 27th) this I read an article regarding an AI generated pic of the pope that fooled a lot of people.

Then there's the issue that many artist were worried about in regards to losing work to AI. It's already happening, though currently in a different field: modeling. Basically, Levi's is going about testing AI generated models and claiming to do so in the name of 'diversity.'

And probably the biggest issue is people either remain ignorant to what's going on, don't care what's going on, or want AI to take control of everything.

I say of the former two (and basically everyone for that matter), you really should both learn and stay informed as best you can as this is an issue that has an effect on everyone. I also say this as someone who's looked a little further into how some of this tech (image generators specifically) work. Also be aware, just like anything on the internet, there'll be misinformation, so you probably shouldn't take one source as a definitive final answer (This includes myself as I'm just as prone to making mistakes and having bias as anyone else). On top on that, for the love of god, don't get your info from Twitter or Facebook.

Now, as for the latter, I highly doubt it's going to end up being a case of you being free to sit around and play video games all day. If you're hedging on the idea of UBI and live in the US or anyplace where government greed an lobbying is rampant, it's more likely you'll get barely enough to squeeze by, if anything at all.

Now, while none of these problems have easy solutions, there are those that are working for and in favor of people and human generated content. With lawsuits against image and text AI generators and with a group working on software that messes with image outputs I am somewhat hopeful that protections and more ways to fight back will come around.

In the mean time, I'm still going to work my craft, and you should too.

And by that I kind of also mean I'm gonna try to stop holding back on stuff just because I don't have a proper watermark yet. It's another thing that's going to take a while, especially since I'm going to be working with new software for this. In the mean time, I recommend if you do any sort of visual art you do the same thing too. Unfortunately for writers and coders, I don't have any suggestions as that's not my area of expertise (but don't take this as me saying, 'oh, ur on ur own, lol').

Now, admittedly, since I began writing this, some new info has come to light (*insert slowpoke meme here*). Apparently over 1,000 tech leaders, including Elon Musk (if even he is campaigning for this, then something is up), signed a letter on the topic of slowing down or even halting AI development. This is potentially good, but too be fair, it doesn't stop the damage that's already been done.

Like I said above, I'm hoping that protections for people from AI will become a thing.

Sorry if this seems like a downer ending, but I don't really know what else to say, and I'm not really a writer or journalist. This isn't the last I'll be talking about stuff like this though.

TL;DR:

AI is already affecting credibility and people's jobs.

Don't just take something on person of side says as truth; try to find a credible source (i.e., not Twitter or Facebook).

UBI is not an end all solution, especially if your government is known for it's greed.

There are people trying to curb some of ethical the issues from AI.

Keep creating, no matter what.

Tech leaders are campaigning for a slowdown/halting of AI development.

This won't be the last time I bring up stuff like this.

BIG Updates & Announcements for the Future

Hello everyone!

We haven’t caught up in a spell, have we? Happy New Year!! This is going to be a long post. I’m not sure if it was noticeable to the larger audience, but 2022 was a tough year for me. Every year is filled with new experiences that test our time, ability, and patience, and there hasn’t been any shortage of life-changing milestones for me in the past several years. But 2022 may take my personal cake so far. 

Attempting to make a long story short, approximately 10 years ago I went through the toughest breakup of my life, with a person I had known for almost a decade prior to that. That event took me many long years to truly get over, I think maybe ~3 years ago is when I finally felt like I had surpassed it inside and out. Well, approximately a year ago, I underwent another breakup. Although the magnitude of the relationship was no where near close to the prior, something about it triggered very similar feelings and dropped my mental health to an all-time low. Realizing that this indicated a problem with me and how I saw myself and the world around me, I began therapy to help rebuild my mental foundation and to help me understand myself better. Of course it’s all still a work in progress, but I would like to believe that I’ve made a ton of progress since then and am hopeful for a mentally fruitful 2023. 

This year-long dip has tanked my writing, I remember I couldn’t even open a word document all throughout summer. And while writing inspiration and motivation will always continue to ebb and flow, I feel like I’m starting to get back on the horse again. The next “TG” post will be #200 and there is something a lil special just like with TG 100. :) 

So what else is new? To celebrate mental health, the upcoming TG 200, and the new year 2023, a few changes are going to occur. Firstly, watermarks. I’ve been posting captions for over a decade at this point and liked to believe that I didn’t need watermarks, that people wouldn’t blatantly repost my captions without permission. This was naïve. Awhile back I did start including a faint “inkyleaf” on the images, but it was small and low effort. Going forward, all captions will have a distinct watermark that I’ve designed over a little while that will hopefully strike you as stylish and act as a seal of quality while also not being too distracting. :)

Second, tags! I know a few people have asked me include more comprehensive tags on my posts to find “archetypes” of stories easier. At this point, including Quickies, over 300 captions/stories have been written, and sifting through them on Tumblr is a pain in the ass. I’m going to be totally honest and this is going to make me sound like a doofus - I didn’t really realize how tags worked on sites like Tumblr/Blogger until I started perusing Blogger a bit more in the past year, and tags are so helpful. My understanding of tags came from YouTube’s early days, where people would think of as many tags as possible solely to earn searches and clicks. Although this may still be true (honestly I don’t even know at this point lmao), it’s not worth it over having a nice comprehensive library of categories to choose from. 

Now, here’s where these two will combine. Over the course of the next year (or two, it could take awhile), I’m going to be posting all of my captions and stories onto Blogger with appropriate tags and will retroactively be fixing the tags on Tumblr to match. On Blogger, I will also be updating the captions with the new watermark! Hopefully this will make my stuff more accessible to more people while also making older stories easier to find and revisit. :) 

Now, here is where I may make some people unhappy, which I apologize for in advance. I started writing captions and stories for patrons on Patreon many years ago, and I’m so thankful for everyone’s pledges! However, as years have passed, my captions and stories have become longer and better. As a result - and to do something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile - I’m going to slightly increase the prices of the $7.50 and $11.50 caption tiers to $10 and $15 respectively. The $1 and $20 tiers will remain unaffected, and all prior payments of 7.50 and 11.50 will remain in tact, no one is losing any requests or anything! This is just for going forward. :) Since I cannot edit payments of tiers while people are pledged, these tiers will be replaced with the new ones, and all patrons will be notified thru Patreon. 

Going forward, I’m also going to be a little more picky with what I chose to write. When I began Patreon, I thought it would be a good idea to expose myself to more ideas from the TGTF world and what people wanted to read. While I was successful in this, I didn’t realize quite how deep and different the rabbit hole could get, and honestly everything is just not for me. Of course I would never shame what anyone is into (how could I write these stories otherwise?), but some topics/themes have come up that took a long time for me to write solely because I just wasn’t super into it, which isn’t being fair to either myself or the patron. I’ll still try to be accommodating and try new things from time to time, just within my own boundaries. I hope everyone understands! ^^; And of course always feel free to ask!

I think that about wraps this up, don’t think I’m forgetting anything. :) Thank you all for reading this and my stories over the years, I’m not sure if I’d still be doing this without you guys. Let’s make 2023 the best year yet! :D

January: uh. nothing noteworthy. just a few refs here and there.... that i’ve been using for the entire year. eesh. i should update them.

there’s also this thing i didn’t upload... i didn’t like how it looked, and scrapped the whole drawing for later concepts (my god it’s atrocious! mainly the coloring. sheesh.)

February: Nothing much here either? there’s this and UGH it’s fuckin. ugly. this is also the only instance of me drawing Marr properly.

this IS, however, the month i concentrated on making my Moldy plushie so... all is excused.

March: gh. more refs. and another poor scenery art piece... remind me to draw more backgrounds. this was the month school started so i didn’t have time to properly draw. lots of sketches here and there though. i realize this is also the month i made Charlie and Mia. does anyone remember Mia? i known everyone remember s Charlie. [note: the reason for this comment is because i had asked every one of my friends to draw Charlie at some point (when they asked for art requests).... but never for Mia. the reasons for that are complicated.]

April: here is a Bo. i made flowerfolk a thing. more lore sketches. halfass’d sea. i need to draw more water. Lorem ipsum. blah. blah.

May: birth month. remember deactivating because of tests. Korean school whoopin my ass. nothing was fucking done! i drew Hollow Knight because i like Hollow Knight. [i also watched Sword Art Online Abridged around that time. see if you can spot one of the jokes.]

Final Project.

Coming up with something that accurately represented who I am and really gave viewers an insight into my multifaceted personality was daunting. But.. it sounded too exciting not to try at the same time. So, here we are. 

My thought process for the FP was as follows: 

When I first started ideating, I knew there were certain values I wanted my brand to represent - class, artistry, and intensity. I decided to opt for a gradient as a solid color seemed too safe and looked too flat to represent myself. I chose a gradient of rich colors such as navy blue, wine, indigo, etc as my primary background as I felt it best represented my brand - Intense, Passionate, and Bold. I also have an affinity towards jewel tones, so this seemed most suited for the project representing myself. 

I chose Felix Titling as my primary font as I loved the classy and contemporary look it gave the project and went with a serif font Baskerville Old to pair with it. I felt like it came across as impactful especially when paired with the watermark logo. My inspiration to choose a font like Felix Titling stemmed from the fact that I have always adored the font used in Vogue, the magazine, because of how contemporary yet timeless it came across as. Felix Titling felt similar, hence!

My Logo was designed keeping music, fluidity, and performing arts at the forefront paired alongside my initials K, P, and S. Hence the multiple music symbols and the forward, play, pause, and rewind buttons. While ideating, I really wanted to add some cursive elements because I love calligraphy as well. Not to mention, my signature has evolved over the years but the one thing that has remained constant in it is a large, calligraphic squiggle for my first initial, K. Thus, it seemed only right that I incorporated something similar in a vector format. I initially thought of hand-drawing my logo as I was pretty set on only using my initials but I liked how clean it looked when using linework. I also really liked the idea of using linework to show structure within the artistic and fluid components. Overall, I feel like the entire logo comes across as slightly complex when put together but when you look at it as individual elements; say just initials, it’s simple, but with meaning. 

I chose to design multiple logo variations as I really loved combining the header font, Felix Titling with the logo design behind as a watermark. At the same time, the version of the logo without my name in it seemed like it would be appropriate for simpler and more casual settings as well. I rendered the basic logo in Illustrator and made minor changes by using InDesign. 

I primarily used the line, pen, and type tool as it seemed adequate and to also avoid unnecessary complications. With that, I would like to convey that this assignment has made the line tool my favorite tool and my best friend in design. It has tested my patience multiple times but also stood through every iteration of almost every single element of my project, especially with my logo. I played around quite a bit with the stroke type and weight but mostly always came back to my trusted single line 1 pt haha.

My business card has been my favorite to design out of my whole project - maybe it’s the small thrill of seeing yourself represented professionally! I initially thought of adding more elements alongside my logo but didn’t want both sides of the card to come across as overwhelming and therefore, decided to leave it as is.

My color palette included the gradient, lilac, white, navy blue, and an off-white shade. My primary reason for choosing these colors is because they seemed to match the aesthetic I was going for best. My secondary reason is that lilac and white are my grandmother’s favorite colors - she is an incredibly talented artist and designer and someone who I look up to immensely, so it seemed fitting to use them for a design project representing myself, my story, and my values. Also, my favorite color combination is blue and white, so combine all these reasons together and boom! Color palette finalized.

For my resume, I have to admit that I was quite conflicted about how I wanted the bottom part of it to look. When I tried replicating the top half, it looked too repetitive and like it lacked a fun and lighter element that represented my other interests. Thus, I stuck to using the lighter colors in my palette as I realized I hadn’t gotten a chance to effectively utilize them in the earlier parts of my project. Although the aesthetics contrast a bit, I wanted it to pop and catch the attention of people who looked at it. That way, the eyes of anyone who was looking at my resume would go immediately to my varied interests, abilities, and language skills. 

The modifications I made post critique were removing the font Pristina, which I had used earlier for my contact information. The feedback I received was that it is hard to read, which is the last thing you want for contact information! Other changes involved reworking the logo a decent amount to make it look cleaner and clearer. 

Overall, this was one of the most difficult assignments I have worked on in my two years of uni life, but I feel like it was also one of the most rewarding as well. It really taught me to self-reflect and improve my self-expression in ways I would've not thought of before. There truly is a sense of satisfaction in seeing your vision through! :)

Happy Sunday, lovelies! The weather warmed up enough that I could tackle some big tasks at home and getting some "spring cleaning" done while I had a smidge of downtime and energy. Also, there is an imposter pretending to be me (although why, I will never know). I only do readings in person or booked through my website - that's it. No DM 5 I won't be bothering you in your DMs. I will be posting a few cards in a bit - as I finally made a bit of time to get it set up. I have had a few interesting messages... kind of demanding them, which is always a bit of a turn-off for me. I like to do things my own way, and I offer the readings and intuition tests without pay - they are a way for me to share things that help others connect more to themselves. I am also a person. Not just an account. It is just me. You send a message, it is me that replies. Writing up the card meanings, taking pictures of the cards, and watermarking them (since so many fakes keep stealing my work) also takes time. I work 3 jobs at the current moment, and I homeschool one of my kiddos. I am also the main caretaker for our family. Let's just be a bit kinder. I used to stress to post them every week , and I got to the point where I am not trying to add more stress to my busy life. And to be honest, Instagram isn't as fun as it once was for me. Between the constant warnings of being impersonated, to the unkind comments on posts, and the spam all over the place - this ol' girl is over it. I am having too much fun connecting in person, teaching different things, and doing readings for people at events. Life has been in motion, and I don't always want to come on here to see what I built dying a slow and tortured death. Will I post? Yes. When? On my own time. There are the follow up ones, yes i borrowed the genshin stickers as a base, these really weren't intended as anything more than content for completely personal use. I include all of this, though to still show the character and the art I make for them, regardless of intent.

Most recent drawing, mostly a joke of how different he and TimeDefenders!Metheus really were, only sharing a name in common and nothing else, and how they would NOT get along. At All.

An animation test, as I am not an animator, and just wanted to do the silly OC trend that I saw a while back of it. For the life of me, I can't remember what it was called, or what the origin was, I just remember i thought it was neat, and did it for my OC [never posted it though cause i was quite scared to] [still am, just facing fears now]

Another thing I made just to be silly, not intended to see the light of day, but i'm posting here now cause I care about my characters and this helps to categorize somewhere.

This was a collage of the art I made before I got a computer, done either on iBis Paint, or pen and paper. They were rough, the style was yet to be found, and they all showed how difficult it was for me to make something without a base [the only two not made with bases were the one on paper and the oil painting like one.] They were also made to screw around, and weren't anything serious. These earlier pieces [actually almost all of them] were also created when I used to have the name Sea Salt before I changed it, and before I created a proper watermark [i'm sure it'll come back to bite me in the ass TvT]

I am only now being haunted by the understanding of how amateur everything here looks, I promise there's some improvement

some varied and various ways in how i used to draw him in a freehand, he also served as an art style practice on more than one occasion. He also has the most variation Everything wise, as he was a starting point in diversifying my art from the 2010s' style that had a death grip on my art progression and almost killed it. Managed to make older and more diverse character faces, and slowly got more used to that being my general 'normalcy' now, but Metheus was often my testing ground.

Dear God i'm worse at art than i thought i can see all the mistakes i still make whhhyyyyy We continue on, cause there's about to be another post dedicated to fun facts about him.

First Round: Prometheus Soloveitchik

The first one I start with and the one with somewhat the most about him. He's got it all, a weird progression into OC status, a stolen name from an [I presume] Extremely obscure mobile game character, and one of the first OCs I spent the most of 2024 writing and to this day reworking slowly until now, where I was happier with how he is. And there's a Lot to cover. Like, he was the only one to get his lore written down, and it ended up in 5 pages of a story. This might just end up as a chain of posts, actually. For archival purposes and whatnot. So, let's just start there. First tidbit, and first in this timeline of creation: He used to not be a character at all, but rather a plot device in a roleplay. There was a character from an older mobile game I had stolen the look and name of, mostly staying as like a cliff note of a guy [this was purely done cause it was not a public roleplay and was entirely made between friends, and i was a bit lazy at the time and didn't want to craft a brand new character just for a one off event.] His tablet was more plot relevant at the time than Him. [That character was Metheus from Time Defenders, and he inherited the name] So, he used to look exactly like that Metheus from that game, like a body snatch type situation early on in that roleplay [pictured here:]

He then, further on, got more plot relevance in said roleplay, and so I changed and created his new, more recent design to actually make him a character and Not just a guy stolen from somewhere else. [pictured: my art and first concept:]

This wasn't the *first* thing I drew for this newer look, but it was the best "reference" I had that didn't show much [Current Metheus is a character that has a genuine and honest-to-god Hatred for most shirts and refuses to wear anything other than a beat up tank top that's pure cotton, and that's reflected in most of his art.] Now as for the character himself? His whole thing has to be in it's own text post cause I may have hit t he character limit HARD [there's 5 pages to that damn backstory and it is quite hard to condense]

Hakuoki Yuugiroku Drama - Thumb-Sized Samurai Tracks 1-4 (of 7)

Well... I’m finally done with all that i can translate for this drama. posting these tracks all together since im unable to continue translating the rest of this by myself... which is something i wouldn’t normally do because i prefer splitting tracks up for more items on my queue, tho that’s also a side-effect of me usually not being able to stay focused on one drama... not sure when i’ll get to the subtitle videos for these since im still pretty busy (while i have the first 3 tracks of this drama subtitled [unedited], at this rate, i might just wait for when finals are done and just focus on all my videos in bulk then... plus ive yet to receive the tl for track 6 and 7 [and need someone else to go over where the voices overlap in track 5], so that will likely cause further delays to the videos for this drama).

also i totally caved in and exchanged points for the yuukoku no moriarty stage play file with chinese subs that someone finished translating recently and bought the blu-ray for the 2nd musical. havent craved more content from a fandom this badly since about a few months before i decided that i would start translating hakuoki stuff lol.

Heh.....hehehahaha~!!! Success at last! This forbidden drug, it shall be named ——the New Ishida Sanyaku · Changed/Improved!!

Hm~. as long as this strange drug  "the New Ishida Sanyaku" is improved, it will become a panacea that will make people fall deeply in love.......

She obviously loves me, [however] my wife is is unable to honestly admit to her feelings [and] is tormented by the pain of love-sickness/My wife, tortured by love sickness, has refused to admit her feelings, isn't this medicine suitable for her?

Alright/Well, now that this medicine has been completed, this must be quickly brought to my wife to drink.

No, wait, just in case, the effects of this must be tested first. (Kazama begins walking off somewhere—)

Harada: So that's it/all, Hijikata-san, that's all I can report on. Sure enough/As expected, the team members' most pressing concern is the security of headquarters.

Saito: My opinions/suggestions are almost the same/similar/the same as Sano's. I believe that we need to improve our defences against intruders.

Hijikata: Is that so. I understand what you guys are saying. Harada and Saito, you've worked hard....... That being said, it's difficult to completely prevent intruders from coming in. This place is a temple, not a fortress. Even if we installed a fence now, that isn't really a good plan.

Saito:.....So what you're saying is......

Harada: But, shouldn't the area around Chizuru's room at least be fortified? It is true that someone is after her.

Saito: Kazama Chikage, Amagri and Shiranui [check audio], the self-proclaimed group of oni......

Hijikata:......Indeed. In short I need to consult with Kondou-san about this....... Then, that'll be it for today's report.

Saito: Then I'll go make some tea. You should rest first. Sano, you should also drink some.

Harada: Oh, thanks a lot. Then I won't be impolite [rephrase later].

(Saito leaves then returns shortly after)

Saito: I've brought the tea. This is fresh[ly brewed] and hot, so please be careful.

Harada: Thank you. I didn't expect this so quickly.

Hijikata: (sips tea)......Oh, what's this, Saito? Did you use some other tea leaves today?

Saito: Nn?......No, I haven't done that.

Hijikata: Really? Then why do I feel that this tastes different from usual?

Harada: You didn't put poison in did you?

Saito:......!! Don't say such frightening words, Sano. The idea of me poisoning the Vice-Commander is complete nonsense. [i prefer the word 'utter']

Harada: Don't get angry, I was just kidding. (sips tea).......but, like Hijikata-san said, the taste of this tea really is odd/strange [tl says 'subtle']......

Saito: Strange? How could that be...... (sips tea)....!!

Harada: What's wrong? You've suddenly become quiet.

Saito: This taste is of...... Ishida Sanyaku ！？

Hijikata: Ahaha, I was thinking that this tasted a bit familiar, so that's what it was........ wa, wait! Why was that put into the tea!?

Harada: Saito..... you bastard, did you actually put Ishida Sanyaku into tea/you didn't actually put Ishida Sanyaku into tea did you? Even if you love that stuff, you should know when to stop before going too far [idiom. rephrase later]!

Saito: No......I would remember doing something like that. I only saw that the teapot lid was open, that there were tea leaves already inside, and that I was thinking how it could easily be brought over to be used......

Hijikata:......There was already tea inside? Did you notice if there was something strange/weird in the surroundings?

Saito: Speaking of which........ I saw something, I thought it was garbage so I ignored it, I think I remember how a note there was a written note saying "dedicated/specially for my wife. Dogs are strictly prohibited to touch this" or something like that.......

Hijikata: What, those words. From where do they....seem... familiar.......

(Hijikata collapses)

Saito: Vice-Commander!!

Harada: oi~ oi!! What's wrong, Hijikata-san! Why are you/why did you suddenly....... falling/collapsing/fall/collapse......!!

(Harada collapses)

Saito: Sano!! Why are you also......!!.......Why am I/How can I.......also....... be fainting........!

Souji: Ha...... good grief, this is a real problem. I've long wanted to say this, but why is it necessary for us to submit a report about our patrols when nothing unusual happened?

Heisuke: I actually think that way too. But nothing can be done about this because of the rules~

Souji: Anyway, if nothing unusual happens, isn't it enough for Heisuke to make the report/that you make the report, Heisuke? I don't think I should be involved in giving it~

Heisuke: You just don't want to go to Hijikata-san's room. If you were giving a report to Kondou-san, you'd obviously be very happy.

Souji: That's because Hijikata-san sees me he won't stop talking as soon as he sees me. Before this, all I did was secretly prepared some ink and smeared a stone into it so that it turned black. He surprisingly became furious at me.

Heisuke:......Anyone who experienced this kind of thing would get really angry.......  Hijikata-san, we're coming in. (they stop walking and open a door) Hey~ Hijikata-san~! Eh? Ah? It seems that he isn't here?

Souji:......But, doesn't it look like he was was recently in the room? Look, something spilled on to the floor.

Souji: Maybe. Anyhow/Speaking of which...... besides the tea, there seems to be some other strange thing on the floor...... What is this?

Heisuke:......Hijikata-san, Sano-san, and Hajime-kun? What are these, these puppets/figurines [or dolls] look very well made. These might be Hijikata-san's things, so it'd be better not to touch them.

Souji: Anyway it seems like he's not in his room right now. Nothing to be done about it then~ [we'll] hand in our report later.

Heisuke: Yeah. Really, just where did he go......

(they open the door and leave the room)

Harada: Saito...... Oi, Saito...! Wake up, I'm telling you to wake up!

Saito:.......Mm...mrgh... S-Sano?

Harada: Yeah.... oh, wait a sec! It's good that you're awake, but you can't open your eyes yet!...... Well, how should I put this...... you need to be mentally prepared......

Saito:.....? What are you saying? What mental preparations......?

~music tune~

Saito:.......!! Sano!?………………Sano?

Harada: Why is that a question? Without a doubt, it's me, Harada Sanosuke.

Saito: No....... But, the Sano I know, doesn't have that height......

Harada: Don't worry, you've become just like me. Just look down at your own body.

Saito:.....!!  Even my sword is unsteady in these smaller hands, and if I step forward, there's the risk of falling over because this extremely big head..... What the hell happened to my body...!

Harada: I'll say it first, but this isn't a dream. Because I've already my face quite a few times.

Saito:......This lowly/humble body...... let alone moving, won't I be useless to the vice-commander and be unable to contribute to the Shinsengumi!?

Harada: In a sense, I don't think you'll need to worry about that? Take a look/Look, Hijikata-san has also become like/also looks like this.

Hijikata: Ah...... damn it......! My hands and feet [arms and legs] have gotten shorter, and everything else [tl is surroundings/everything in the surrounding] has become incredibly large......!

Saito: E-Even the Vice-Commander.....!? Why do you [also] have this awkward appearance......!!

Hijikata: Saito, you're awake. I just woke up...... Oi, Harada, why on earth have we become/do we look like this!

Harada: Even if you ask me that, I have no idea/I don't know. I was like this when I woke up.

Hijikata: Yeah....... well, since the three of us have all become like this, it's obvious/goes without saying that the pot of tea was strange.

Harada: Yeah. To begin with, it's strange to have tasted Ishida Sanyaku in tea.

Saito:......I see. That is to say that this is all due to Ishida Sanyaku......

Hijikata: No, that's impossible......

Saito: Ishida Sanyaku is a medicine that is meant to be taken with sake, because it was deviously put into tea, this sort of of trouble happened.......

Saito: Ha....... so you've also become like this...

Harada: I couldn't help but look up just now ['doubt my eyes'ish or 'look away'.... or something?] . (whispers) Ha.... It turned out be some random passerby.

Kazama: You bastard, sighing after looking at someone else's face, you really know nothing about etiquette!

Hijikata:: After breaking into someone's home, it goes without saying that etiquette will go to the dogs [reword later]! Alright, Saito, Harada! Let's drive this guy out of headquarters!

Saito: Understood (draws sword)

Kazama: Ah~ do you plan on fighting me with that poor body of yours?

Hijikata: Look at yourself, aren't you also the same!?

Harada: Speaking of that guy, why are you even here?.... Don't tell me that it was your plan to make our bodies smaller!?

Kazama: Ha, have you finally noticed it. You idiots/fools with no brains.

Saito: In other words, this is all that guy's fault?! Making all of our bodies smaller, what do you intend on doing?!

Kazama: It has nothing to do with you. I was only looking for my wife.... Yes, only just my wife.... That damn vile medicine!! To actually make turn me into this inferior article!!

Hijikata: Although I don't get why you're so upset, quit rambling, and hurry up and tell us the way to get us back to normal!

Kazama:.......Che.

Saito: You still won't talk. Then violence can be the only answer [reword later. don't like how it reads]...!

Harada: Hold it, Saito!

Saito: Why are you stopping me, Sano! If we don't get the answer out of that guy's mouth, we won't be able to get our bodies back to normal!

Harada: Don't you think it's a bit strange? Kazama was originally the culprit with that medicine, but why is that guy so small now? If he was able to get back to normal, he already would have done that!

Hijikata: Co-Could it be.... you're not going to say that you don't know how to get us back to normal, right!

Kazama:  Did you finally realize it? You idiots with no intelligence!

Harada: Uwah....... I really want to beat him up......

Saito: Vice-Commander, please give me the order to cut that guy down!

Kazama: Che, listen to me! It's not that I don't know how to restore us to our original states. It's just that this method will be extremely difficult to accomplish.

Hijikata:……Difficult [Difficult how]……?

Kazama: It's simple to get back to our original states. The teapot with the medicine in it is still in the kitchen. We just need to drink more of that medicine, the "New and Improved Ishida Sanyaku."

Harada: I feel that I want to complain about the name of that medicine since it's a bit too subtle.... But will that really work?!

Kazama: Of course. As I possess the noble bloodline of the oni, it's impossible for me to lie.

Hijikata: For the time being, we'll believe what you say. For the time being, we'll believe what you say. You said it'd be difficult, but shouldn't being able to get into the kitchen smoothly, be the only problem? 

Saito: Indeed. Just from the drop to the ground, which looks as high a wall, you can definitely infer how difficult it will be to get to the kitchen...

Kazama: That's right. As a dog who can only wag his head and wag his tail, that ability to understand is really good.

Harada: How is it that I feel angry whenever I hear you say something nasty [reword later].... Well, since we're like this, if we have more people, we'll be able to solve this problem sooner.

Hijikata: Speaking of which...... if someone would pass by/if someone just passed by......

(voices heard in distance)

Souji: Eh~ really, I don't always want to be doing this every time~

Heisuke: Don't say that. Hijikata-san should be back at his room now, right?

Hijikata: Those voices just now...... are Souji and Heisuke's?

Saito: Souji! Heisuke! Come here......! Mmph......! (mouth gets covered by Harada)

Harada: Don't be impulsive, Saito!!

Saito (weakly) What are you doing......!

Harada: I'm telling you/Listen [to me], just think about it! Even if Heisuke helps, the other person there is Souji!

Hijikata: If that guy finds out that we're tiny/this small, who knows how he would react!

Saito: (gasps and moves Harada's hand away) Ha...... Indeed, he'd treat us like toys and handle us as if we were straw...... just imagining that gives me the chills [reword later]......

Kazama: Che, as expected of a pack of dogs made up of rogues and villains. It's amazing that how you don't even have confidence/trust in your own companions.

Hijikata: Shut up! Under these circumstances...! Perhaps Souji is the only exception!

Harada: In the first place, what should we be doing, Hijikata-san? We have to do something, so should we just tell Heisuke about what happened?

Hijikata: Uh………… No, let's pretend to be dolls for a while. After, we can wait for Yamazaki or maybe Gen-san....... ah, there's still Chizuru, [but] we should wait for someone reasonable to pass by.

Kazama: What are you saying? You're actually telling me to pretend to be a doll [reword later]!?

Hijikata; Shut up and just do as I say! Even if it's you, if you can't get back to normal, won't you have a lot of problems!

Kazama: Che. There's nothing to be done/that can be done about it then.

Harada: Heisuke's coming! Everyone stop talking!

(door slides open)

Heisuke: Hijikata-san~!  Hah!? Still not here......

Okita: That's strange. I just heard a very quiet voice just now, so I thought Hajime-kun was here. (looks around) Anyhow, why have these dolls that were placed here, so scattered around [reword later/thesaurus]? Furthermore, this/And this strange doll with blond hair, I don't remember seeing it earlier.  

Toudou: What is this, a doll of Kazama? There's even one of one of Sano-san, but why isn't there one of these odd dolls of you or me, Souji?

(Heisuke pokes Kazama's head)

Kazama: You bastard......! The only one in the world who is allowed to touch me, is my wife...!

Harada: Come on, don't talk, just be patient!

Souji: These two figures look very much like Hijikata-san and Hajime-kun... Come look at them, they look pretty funny/interesting~

(Souji pokes Hijikata's head)

Hijikata:………………！！！！

Saito:…………！

Okita: Nn? I seemed to have heard something strange?

Harada: Well since these are Hijikata-san's things, if you play around too much with them, he'll get super angry~

Souji: That's right. But, if we just leave them here like this, isn't it likely for that cat to play around with them [reword later]?

Heisuke: It's as you say though since they were already left in a mess, maybe that cat messed them up [reword later].

Souji: In that case, why don't we just put them all into a box? They can be also put into a closet where the cat won't be able to reach them.

Saito: ………………What!?

Harada: If that happens, won't we be unable to move!?

Hijikata: This bastard/guy, he just had to come up with such a rotten idea right now!

Heisuke: Let's hold onto them for the time being then. Anyway, we still need to come back later and give give the report for our patrol. At the time, we can return these to Hijikata-san.

Souji: You're not thinking about taking these back to your room to prank them because you're upset about the faces of these dolls, right [i think? reword later]?

Heisuke: This idea of yours won't be any good/You're the only one who would come up with such a bad idea... well, then I'll take the Sano-san and Kazama dolls for to hold onto for safekeeping.

Kazama: Kuh......! Things are getting more and more complicated...

Hmm.. I cant remember. I mostly read ones that are either just cute or bitter sweet. I cant remember clearly the ones that just hurt and were sad.

However, if you’re curious.. the bitter/sweet one I read recently was a two part series written by @parsnipit. Here’s part one and two if you want to read it. :} Its a Gravity Falls fic. It is very good and had me glued the whole time!

Well, how about I show you ALL of the characters in that particular folder and tell the story of the character if they have one? :} Which honestly, there aren’t tat many characters.

I don’t remember this character and I forgot what language his name is in.. I think he’s a scavenger of sorts though?

I believe I just wanted to make some interesting monster OCs. So I did. Not sure what their story was if I ever made one for them.

I don’t remember this one.. I think I drew this ugly monster with this little girl a long time ago, and translated it into this several years later.

I believe these are Pokémon OCs?

I uh.. don’t remember.

Now THIS one I remember. There was supposed to be this little orphan girl that could communicate with spirits and possessed toys. Her teddy bear, Charles was the first one she spoke to, and the Barbie doll and mitch match clown puppet came around later. These three were her main toys. She was even supposed to ride around in this possessed engineless truck with all the toys in the truck bed. Her goal was to bring the toys peace somehow, but her story never really developed past that.

...She’s Crystal..? I think I just drew her for the sake of drawing her..?

I cant remember Amy’s story very clearly, but I know the gist of it. She was supposed to either be this ancient spirit of the woods that was reawakened.. or she was some kind of ancient forest villager from a long lost village that was brought back to life. Anyway, these two kids found her somehow and.. they had to get her somewhere? Like, she was on a mission, but didn’t know it, but these kids did? They were trying to help her do something I think? Sorry uh, my memory blanks out after that. (-｡-;

I wanted to make a jellyfish mermaid. So I did. :}

I believe this character maaay have been connected to a HUGE and elaborate story that I built a long time ago, but maybe I’m confusing her as an addition to the jello cats. I think she’s supposed to be an alien of sorts.

I.... cant quite remember.. I think this might’ve been like a master and student situation? I believe Zyrus was some kind of creature that has to travel back to this well or something every few years to regenerate himself or something.. and their story was about their journey back to the well..? <:D I’m not sure??

I wanted to test out a new coloring style, so I made her on the fly as a test subject.

This character is named Joyful. He is a figurine that I got from a bowling alley/arcade? I think after getting him, I turned to my friend and went, “What if I drew this guy? Like, as an actual character?” And then I did.

So, Lord Kryton and Xerneas. I drew a picture when I was very little, of a lizard dude holding a little girl hostage. Behind him was this big dragon dude thing. Then there were the parents on the other side of the drawing with.. I think a snake guy..? I cant remember the drawing very well. But basically the parents were upset and the snake guy was like, “GIV HER BAK NOE” and the little lizard was like “NEVR! MONSTR ATAC!!” And that was the drawing. I took the girl, the little lizard dude and the big bad monster and drew them all together. :}

These characters stories changed many many times. But the one I remember the most is them being a boys interpretation of his family. I cant remember much..  but I think there was this boy who made masks to represent the family he lost? Dad, Brother and Mom I believe. I think the masks were either possessed by his family, or they gained imaginary or real sentience. His dad was very funny and dressed very nice. So his mask formed a body that was wearing a fancy outfit that also looked slightly silly. His brother was very ill for most of the time the boy knew him. His face was covered, he always wore a hat and was hooked up to wires all the time. Maybe cancer? I think his brothers mask was purposely thrown to the ground by his caretaker, which shattered it. He found a way to glue it back together. The mask person gained stiches on his face because of it. He is covered in bandages, casts and coverings, but he’s still a sweetheart, just like his brother. Then there’s the pretty one. His mom was very beautiful and always dressed nice and wore pretty jewelry. So he got beads, necklaces and fake jewels and covered the mask with it. The result was the slender woman on the right. I believe they were good beings. They would be talking and laughing with the kid, but as soon as the guardian walked in his new family would vanish, and the masks would mysteriously be on the floor. I don’t remember what the rest of the story was.. but I believe they were the good guys, like the kids new family.

I wanted to make a fairy butler, so I did. :}

Barbra Dollson, AKA Barb, was a woman who was investigating the phenomenon that is human sized, anthropomorphic, sentient toys. During her investigation, she gained a better understanding of who they are and how they think. Sometime during her investigation as well, she came to the earth shattering realization that she herself is indeed a toy too. She is the same species as the creatures she is studying. Her name is not Barbra Dollson, it is Barbie Doll.

I wanted to draw a tiny woman with a HUMUNGOUS dog, so I did. Meet Riley and Bernie. :}

What were your favorite things to draw when you were a lil kid? When I was a very little kid, idk. But once I got into meerkats... I drew them like crazy. Do you think there is something with or around you, like a spirit, angel, ghost or something else? How does this make you feel? No. Imagine you’re a stranger looking at yourself. What things would immediately catch your eye? Ugh, let's not. When did you feel the most confident in your life? Probably my senior year of high school. I was happy with Jason with plans for the future together, I was doing excellently in school... I thought I was really going to go somewhere. Do you think love is needed to have good sex? For some people, no. For me, loving one another is an absolute must. Do you think, or want to, die in the city you currently live in? Fuuuuuuuck no, I hate it here. No. What makeup products are your go-tos? If I wear makeup, the bare minimum is black eyeliner. Are you going to school this year? No. I gave college as many shots as I could handle both sanity-wise and with finances in mind. I do NOT want to even ATTEMPT to imagine the debt I have after going to three different colleges and dropping out each time. What is your favorite water activity? I enjoy just kinda swimming around aimlessly, relaxing. What are your favorite video games? Girt once tried to make out with me and I noped the fuck outta that situation. It was so fucking awkward. Is your mood or the overall tone of your day often affected by the dreams you had the night before? My nightmares definitely can. Do you think that there are any positive aspects or outcomes of suffering from a mental illness? If you have a mental illness, do you think it has changed you for the better in any way? I definitely believe my mental illnesses forced me to mature faster and also instilled a great sense of empathy in me. And don't forget emotional endurance. What is your opinion on celebrity culture and celebrity worship? Have you ever been guilty of putting a celebrity on a pedestal? Do you think it’s somehow more acceptable/understandable to obsess over certain types of celebrities (musicians over YouTubers, say) than others? At what point do you think an obsession like that crosses the line? It's dangerous and can be very blinding. An outsider could say I put Mark on a pedestal, but I've always been very aware that he's not perfect and really just another human, I just happen to love him a lot for the human he is, haha. As time's passed, my vision of him has become healthier though (not to say it ever reached the "unhealthy" threshold); it's gotten easier for me to judge him and stuff like that. I think an obsession crosses the line when you put on rose-tinted glasses to look upon someone and entirely ignore their flaws, or if you try to invade their personal lives, ex. being one of those creeps that loiter outside their houses and stuff. If you were to pursue a career in photography and had the opportunity and means to photograph whatever you wanted, what would most like to photograph? Ah, livin' the dream. If I had to choice and would be paid well regardless of focus, I would absolutely travel and photograph the local nature/wildlife. Is there a certain type of clothing (outerwear, activewear, loungewear, etc.) that you enjoy shopping for more than others? Shirts, 100%. Are you ever afraid to post your ideas, artwork, photography, etc. online for fear that they will get stolen or not credited? When it comes to OCs, yes, given that things have been stolen from me before. Photography doesn't worry me much because I don't think I'm good enough for someone to possibly want to steal it (and besides, I use a watermark), and I do the same for drawings. It's the unique characters I make I worry about being stolen if I share them. When is the last time you did something sexual? A few years back. Who is the last person you showered with, if anyone? I haven't showered with someone since I was a little kid and my younger sister and I would to conserve water. What do you think when you see roadkill on the side of the road? It really makes me genuinely sad, and I always wonder if it could have been avoided if the driver was more alert, slower, and thinking about more than the damage it could cause to their car... I enjoy photographing roadkill, brutal as it may be, out of respect for them and the desire to make their individual stories known and just kind of like, raise awareness of it. Too many people are just annoyed by hitting an animal versus more concerned. "Stupid deer," stuff like that. I sometimes worry that doing so can be interpreted as disrespect, to photograph and publish pictures of their corpses online, but I sure hope not. It's the least of my intentions. I just want people to see and care. Have you ever had an ex that just didn’t understand that it was over? Biiiitch I was that ex, 120%. But besides my situation with Jason, this was how Tyler was. I had to tell him about five thousand times to stop texting me. Are your fingernails currently short or long? They're always pretty short. Would you rather have big or small dogs? Have you ever thought of how you would give your kids “the talk”? I don't want kids, so no, I've never thought of this. I certainly wouldn't wait for sex ed in school, though. I want them to be informed on what consent and molestation are so they know to let Mama know so I can punch someone's face into a whole new galaxy if they're ever violated.
