I gave into temptation and liked and retweeted The Boys S4 promo posters, etc 😔 this doesn’t help the recommended period of inactivity where Twitter unshadowbans your account but what’s one more week of inactivity there?

At this point, it’s already been two times X has put my account on Search Suggestion Ban immediately again after retweeting/ liking/ or posting something 😑 I have accepted my fate. At the very least for logged in users, you can access the threadfics so that’s the silver lining. I’ve also seen people liking, commenting, and retweeting some of my things there which makes me happy because supposedly engagement will help. I’m in the process of looking for more accounts to follow since that apparently also plays into the Twt AI deciding if I’m a spam bot account.

I’m gonna give it one more week of inactivity to see just in case the last search suggestion ban does lift again (🙄). But I have pretty much accepted my fate that my account is probably gonna be forever Search Suggestion Banned. You’ll just have to log in to be able to see my content there.

We’re gonna do one more test where I’m gonna tweet Part III of the Sugar Baby AU threadfic (likely 25-50 tweets update)—and see if that lands me in hot water again. If it doesn’t, good; we’ll continue as usual. If not, whelp, “porting to AO3 time as part of a series earlier than I’d planned to” we go.

Expect the threadfic update^ sometime around the week of 11/17-11/26.

Lastly, the next work of mine to be updated will be Truce ch3. I’m gonna spend maybe 1 more week or 2 of my writing break to catch up on reading a fellow writer friend’s work as a lil comment exchange we promised each other (you know who you are 🥰) and maybe 1 other writer’s work if they publish their last chapter within this period of time (you also know who you are 😘), but after my break is over I���ll resume writing Truce. Sneak peeks will be posted here & twitter.

I think I have PTSD from the page count from the previous chapter /hj. It’s just something about writing in Billy’s POV that makes me unintentionally write longer than expected (he’s toppled Luo Binghe’s crown of the ML Who’s Made This Author Spit Blood at the Final Pagecount Just Because the Chapter is in His POV). And ch3, surprise surprise, is gonna be in Billy’s POV again. It’s also literally my favorite chapter because we have an Outerspace “Date” (it’s a satire of Superman/ Lois Lane; this scene may or may not also be illustrated depending on my mood), a chapter illustration for the official NS/FW First Time Together for our lads, and the “twist” with the bombastic ending of ch3 where Billy joins the Seven.

My hope is that Truce remains 4 chapters only—but it depends on the final pagecount per chapter. *knocks on wood 3x*

I’m gonna try to update ch3 by the time the Christmas holiday rolls around, if not then it’s the New Year like we had for the previous chapter. The reason being: I have two new scenes that have to be added to ch3 and I’m putting in perhaps a couple kernels of S4 things. If I can keep Part II to below 113 pages, it will be a gosh darn miracle—but we’re gonna try. I’ll keep y’all updated on the status, especially when I start writing again.

...and this is exactly what I meant that deattaching from this website one day is going to be incredibly hard:

9 years, 30k posts and I don’t think my backup archive of an export is going to be a... thing. That’s TOO much content that there’s NO WAY I can download. I have read that some archives from people are over 20GB (or have taken a YEAR to back up) and wtf, I don’t think my lap would handle that (downloading the zip file)???

This is going to be... a mess. If it isn’t one already, given that they aren’t giving us tools (despite being told they are going to do that... and requesting an appeal is going to be another storm on its own, especially with flagged random posts that aren’t ns*fw at ALL.

My art side blog is actually telling me that some of my posts are flagged... but if I go to my main blog, they don’t seem... to have that. But I decided those are going to be deleted (only the old art posts I’ve done). I know I am doing this in an impulse, but this is bothering me quite a lot (however, they are already backed-up in my deviantart account... thank GOD I started to do that since early 2018).

...and those are MY art posts.

I have to look for the photo sets I have published over the years especially those with writings on them.

I’m checking my own blog’s posts here in dashboard (basically my entire blog) and I’m only at page 127, and just a couple or three posts have been flagged. From 1270-ish posts, only 3... which I don’t know if I should feel relaxed or more alerted. I do have the luck that with some of my fandoms dying, and me doing more talk in Twitter, my posting here has decreased in 2018 compared to other years.

...however, I do realize that doing this action I’m doing seems futile. I COULD delete the reblogs that are marked as “flagged” because, as I’m not the owner, I cannot do anything about them, nor appeal for them. Tumblr isn’t helping either saying “oh, yes those flagged posts would definitely be deleted at one point in time if they aren’t appealed (to clear them as sfw)”... especially if the OPs are longer gone (or moved to other platforms, etc)

This is ridiculous, and perhaps this post is rather pathetic because I prove a point about it being ridiculous. And pathetic about me, because, again, I’ve been here for 9 years

Do you REALLY think Tumblr will give us more tools to locate all those posts that are flagged IF, ESPECIALLY, mass editing is VERY sh*tty?

This will blow completely in their face in the upcoming days. Realistically, I don’t think they are going to step back. But, who knows. Their flagging system is WAY too broken from way back the day they introduced it, it’s just it’s more agressive because they seem to be going for photos depicting people with little clothing (when it isn’t even sexual at all) but lots of flesh... and certain tone of color. I mean, the fuck.

What I mean for futile is also the fact that it’s like the automated ContentID algorhythm in YT. You could be 100% sure your content is okay one day... for another to receive 30 notification flags from a company’s representatives. THAT’S HOW this system is working as.

How the hell do they expect a normal user to appeal for ALL of their wrongly flagged posts. Before this announcement I got one of my pics flagged, but as soon as I requested an appeal, they cleared it off in seconds... but the two I appealed today. NOTHING. Heck, they are promising to send the users emails for that. LMAO, if I rarely had received mails from them...

I cannot believe I’m doing this comparison, but them also saying “okay, the 18+ blogs will remain, but they will remain neutered, isolated, with content MOSTLY deleted, with their headers and avatars with the predetermined ones.” Reminds me of OFF from some reason... thepurifiedzones, you know? Isolated, w/o an “identity”, “purified”. What the hell.

I don’t know what to do - I could be doing this and deleting the reblogs manually, deleting my own posts that “okay, these are not worthy to save”, or simply “let them go” and let Tumblr do the job.

People are rightfully in their right to leave, to migrate. Some are still wanting to stay and prove a point, but I don’t know how that is going to work.

Even if the “purge” seems gradual (because the amount of users and content is HUGE)... two weeks is still very little time to make oneself the idea that this will inevitably start its way in the 17th.

This is giving me lots of anxiety. And the timing couldn’t have been worse for me.

While my blogs aren’t in danger to be deleted (as they mentioned in another post) as they aren’t nsfw (with exception of a couple, and they will be EVEN MORE isolated)... I’m worried for friends, for artists that I like, acquaintances, etc.

That being said, my side blogs (+drafts) have been mostly cleaned by me. I don’t know what is going to happen in the next 13 days, but I’ll check them out again if any other thing happens.
