the tug on the covers is what wakes him. he’s always been a light sleeper, trained for years to detect any threat, even when he’s supposed to be at rest. maybe he’s a little less concerned about the random noises he hears around his house nowadays; primed from years of marriage to the clumsiest woman alive–and fatherhood to the clumsiest children. another tug. though he had hoped to sleep in today of all days. he took a personal day from the agency just to relax, cuddle up to his wife, maybe have a late brunch with the kids. the perfect day of rest for a busy man like him. 

he peeps an eye open to see if you’re laying in your spot. tch, hag. he rolls his closed eyes and decides to turn over; he could probably go back to sleep. another tug. 

“daddy!” bakugou’s little daughter huffs, patience clearly run out by that inherited scowl tugging on her features. complete with a stomp and all, natsuki pulls again. he loves his kids, cherishes being a father, but please. he just wants a minute longer. is that so much to ask on his birthday?

“nats, go get yer ma or come lay down.” he grumbles in the groggy morning voice you love to hear so much. your mini me happily obliges, giggling as she scales her way up onto the bed. she’s only five, and is absolutely her father’s biggest fan. he’s especially soft for his first born, and his precious little princess–hearing her laughter sheds the grump right off of him, heart melting a little as she sneaks under a heavy arm to lay next to him. “where is yer ma anyway?” he pouts, making her poke at the deep frown. 

“shhh, can’ tell you!! i distract.” she nods. oh how she possesses your grace. that makes him snort, and he already knows you have to be scheming something for today’s ‘holiday’, as you would call it. and his son is being held captive to be an accomplice to such a crime. you know he doesn’t want to make a big deal out of it. he hates that kind of attention and would much rather spend his time cuddling with his wife all day than sitting at some restaurant accepting gifts from his friends. he nearly has everything a man could ever ask for, a beautiful wife, healthy and gorgeous children–though he could tack on a few more there–the perfect home, a great and satisfying career…the list goes on. it took years to get to this place of peace. so, he really doesn’t want anything for his birthday this year. other than your ass back in bed of course. 

“oh yeah? she told ya to do that?” he blinks sleepy eyes open, meeting ones of a matching hue staring up at him. she nods. “what’s yer brother doin’?” he knows it’s a trap, but hey. you shoulda sent the kid that can’t make complete sentences yet. 

“helpin’ mama make ‘cakes n bacon!” she reveals proudly, eyes growing wide when she realizes she’s betrayed her mission. she claps a hand over her mouth and huffs at him. “mama tryin’ to be nice.” 

“ain’t she? let’s go help her.” he chuckles a little bit, sliding out of bed with her on his hip. his sweatpants hang low, but he won’t take the time to change right now. his hair is tousled from sleep, but as always he’s effortlessly and ruggedly handsome in a way that will never cease to make you weak in the knees. natsuki holds onto her father’s shoulder as he softly pads down the stairs, ready to foil your surprise. he holds his finger over his lips, nodding at his little girl. she mirrors the action, swearing to be silent. he peeks around the corner, this sight bringing a gentle smile to his face. maturing and loving and having a family had simmered him down a bit, but he never lost his spark. he always knows how to balance it though, and as badly as he wants to jump around the wall and catch you—laugh that you thought you could be so sneaky; he doesn’t. you’re holding your two year old son in a similar way to his carry on natsuki, dancing around the kitchen to keep him from fussing while you plate up his favorite strawberry banana pancakes, a signature you introduced him to. you dollop out whipped cream that katsuo promptly puts his hands into, making you laugh softly and shake your head. you stick some candles into the pancakes and that’s when it really gets him. 

so much care and laborious love poured into this, he can’t rob you of such a simple gift to him. natsuki pats his shoulder, pointing to the living room as you fix up the smudged whipped cream and fix your children’s plates. he sees that you’ve turned it into a massive pillow fortress, blankets and string lights and the tv tucked under it all so you could lounge about all day. the family cat perched comfortably on one of the fluffiest blankets, and blame fatherhood, he feels the sting of emotion behind his eyes. it’s perfect. it’s a gift he wouldn’t have even picked for himself–it nearly makes him laugh. you would find a way to go and do something for him anyway–even when he swears he just wants to lay around the house all day. he says that and you go and give him domestic bliss. 

you walk around the corner with his plate in hand, katsuo in the other, prepared to creep upstairs and wake your sleeping husband up for breakfast in bed. then you’d rouse him to come downstairs to the massive movie theater pillow fort you built. but meh—it seems your plans were mere…outlines. your smile droops, but then replaces itself upon noticing just how shocked and happy katsuki really was. he loathes surprises, and no—you would not drag the man out for birthday dinners or even a private date for you two. he’d much rather cook for you and the kids anyway. you know that. you know him better than you know yourself. but you would be damned if a year went by where you didn’t celebrate him. and yeah–you shoulda sent the kid that can’t make complete sentences yet. 

“this is real nice, princess.” he hums, turning to face you and letting you glimpse at your regretful daughter. 

“sorry mama..” she pouts, making you chuckle softly. there wasn’t much of a chance to get away with this anyway–it’s not her fault. 

“aw, it’s okay baby. now we can just sing happy birthday to daddy in the fort!” you grin, nodding at him to get comfortable inside. he smiles warmly, because that’s all he feels. complete and utter warmth from head to toe. he leans forward and kisses your forehead, taking katsuo out of your arms and taking the kids to nestle comfortably in the pillow seating arrangements you crafted. it is an incredible arrangement by the way. he’s sure it took you hours. he feels that signature tightness in his chest–the overwhelming love he has for you is sometimes a physical phenomenon. katsuo crawls over the pillows to tuck himself into a fluffy corner close to his sister, clapping his hands together in anticipation of the pancakes he saw his mom whipping up earlier. you duck under the entrance sheet and grin brightly—an expression he knows and loves. you’re proud of yourself, and you should be. you drop to your knees, hitting the fluffy couch cushions and fluffy down blankets. you scoot forward on them and then sit back, displaying your beautiful pancake creations. 

you nod to the kids who join you in a beautiful–albeit choppy–rendition of the happy birthday tune, and he beams all the while. his heart may genuinely burst from his chest though.  the greatest gift he ever got was truly his wife–and you’ve given him two more. he leans up to blow out the candles, leaning up yet again to steal a kiss from you before he takes the plate from you entirely. “thank ya, lil squirt. and m’littler squirts.” he ruffles natsuki’s hair, getting into the breakfast as you double back for everything else. the love in his eyes, the intensity that he always carries—it’s a gift in itself to you. you’re gonna watch shitty tv all day with your kids, being lazy and awful as you snack around all day. you call it a taurus’ paradise. of course you sneak your final gift in too, snagging it from the counter. 

he holds his arm out for you, chewing animatedly and nodding to show you his excitement. you lean into his hold and nestle close, putting a show on for your kids. they have limited tv time please don’t even start. “happy birthday, my love.” you hum again, kissing his cheek. 

“you spoil me, gorgeous.” he smiles at you, all soft and tender to give you butterflies. he tucks his hand into the dip of your waist and starts feeding you your food like it’s your birthday. he does that a lot. you think he gets nearly uncomfortable at being spoiled–or at least wants to include you in the feeling he has. it’s adorable either way. 

“you deserve it. you work so hard, you’re such a good dad and husband for me…i want to give you everything.” you chuckle softly, laying your head on his shoulder, hugging around his bicep. 

“woman, look at those kids an’ yerself an’ say that again.” he says, the pinnacle of affection despite his way of speaking. “ya gave me everythin’.” 

“nuh uhhh,” you giggle, digging in your pocket. “not everything. got something else for ya.” you place it in his hands—the only other thing he’d ever want: a positive pregnancy test. “one step closer to—what did you call it? bakugou total world domination?”

he sets his plate to the side and pulls you into his lap, clutching you close, chuckling a bit. “yer kiddin’! he nuzzles his face into your neck and sighs happily. “i love you.” he hums softly, shaking his head, “this gotta be the best birthday ever..” he adds, and he means it wholeheartedly. gone were the days of war and daily sacrifice. every once and a while a villain will get on his nerves for a few days—but he always comes home to his (growing) family. he didn’t even have nightmares anymore, blissfully coasting in a stream of peace he never imagined he’d know. the idea of having a lifetime like this was almost too good to be true if he hadn’t known he’d do anything to protect it.

“but don’t think we won’t celebrate on our own later~” you purr in his ear. sheesh, you keep proving this day gets better and better.

“Hey..Jay wake up..” that’s the first words Jay can hear leaving your mouth.. “What is it..? What time is it even..?” Jay was confused, he could barely see. “It’s already 7 am Jay…you got work..” Work..please Jay didn’t want to go. Especially if it meant leaving you alone at home. He doesn’t want his favorite girl in the world to be alone and desperate when he gets back home. Not that he wouldn’t mind you begging for him.

“Fuck work. Can’t I just stay here with you all day?” He asked. You shook your head, declining. when he comes back from work.

“No…” Jay just said, shoving his head into the crook of your neck, kissing it, making you giggle.

“H-hey that tickles..” You said trying to move his head away from your neck, but Jay wrapped his arms around your waist. “Nuh-uh…not gonna happen baby..” Jay held you tight into his embrace. Too early in the morning..well at least for him.. “No..Jay baby you have work, and so do I…” Oh yeah he forgot about that too. “Can’t we skip work today..” You shook your head insisting no. “Call in sick please.” Jay was the one begging now, not you. “No, Jay I really need to go to work and so do you..” You tried reasoning with him. Hoping to get him to let you go and finally be able to get ready. “So work is more important than me?” He asked, looking up at you, waiting for your answer. You sigh before kissing his nose.. “Of course not..” “Then skip work. I’ll skip work if it means having to stay in bed all day with you..” You slightly giggle, but go back to a neutral face. Jay was still hugging you, so you took the opportunity to shove him slightly moving around a bit. Unfortunately for you, Jay still had you trapped in his arms. You sigh and turn over to see what time was it.. 7:28.. “JAYY!! I really need to go..like right..now” Jay didn’t respond, ignoring your begging. You reach over for your phone, and log into it, only for Jay to snatch it away from your hands.

“Babe what the fuck!” You could see Jay typing something onto your phone, so you take a quick peep, seeing him text your boss. “Hey!” You try to reach for it only for Jay to move his arm away from you, making you unable to grab your phone back. You give Jay a glare, before backing away and getting out of bed. You can hear Jay giggle in the background. “Wait, don't leave..” He pleaded. You ignore his calls, and start getting ready.

Once you’re done dressing, you walk out to see Jay just looking at you. You notice the slight pout on his face, until you see your phone back on the nightstand on your side of the bed. “Are you really going?” He asked you, frowning, you nodded your head. “I didn’t send the message..” You don’t respond, before walking up the nightstand reaching to grab your phone jay places his hand on top of yours..you turn your gaze towards him..He was giving you that look.. “No, babe I’m going to work whether you like it or not..” You were a bit upset with him..just a bit.

“Does that mean? I’m home alone..?” Jay asked.

“No, you have work too, besides when you get back home you’re going to see me regardless..” reasoning, you place a peck on his lips, leaving him stunned before walking out of the room.

I know it's a bit silly or repetitive and maybe no one will see this post but i received so much kindness and support this past few months i can't help it i have to thanks all the rats here.

I met really nice peopoe, had great conversation, received beautiful gifts and had kind people ask about my day or about characters i created and it warms my heart.

I aim to become a better artist and improve and that a long way to go, but i'm always shocked of how many peeps already like what i do and it makes me happy. Will I ever be tried of the bodyguard trope? Not today sports fans. Or should I say BL fans? Fans of school rangers? Idk. I love it give it a try. Yes it’s long. Yes you know the premise but read it and find more.

The sell: Kaduo is a panic attack riddled princely prince who can’t see how much he loved and adored and how in turn his heart’s actions to protect not only those closest to him but his people are affected by him. He is assigned Evemer a new body guard hand picked by the Sultan who is Kaduo’s beloved sister. Evemer is hesitant because he has lofty ideas about what a guard should be and the person he should serve. This story has a lot of good found family elements low magic considering Kaduo has the ability to…. See memories when he touches metal? The mystery is very solvable. However due to the relationships, political temperature, and Kaduo’s own fear it takes a LONG time to get fully solved. But I was very happy to read it. I had to take points off for nothing that shocked me but I was hyperventilating by the end of the book simply because I was screaming so loud of happiness. I was shocked by the end just happening. I wanted more but at the same time I was satisfied with it as a whole stand alone book.

Okay reasons to read if you’ve read other things

I kept comparing him to Velasin from the Tithenai chornicles. Now before I read this book I’d seen it heavily compared to a Stubborn and Strange Endurance. HOWEVER they are significantly different. I do feel like Velasin and Kaduo would have enjoyed being besties. Kaduo is much more adept at being a leader and fighter than Velasin ever thought about being, However, both of their strengths lie in their ability to rule through love and with their anxiety as a caged beast to guide them. Kaduo gets himself into trouble but he never needs actual help to survive he is strong despite his terribly descriptive realistic panic attacks and disassociating.I also feel like Evemer and Surit from Ocean’s Echo would have the bestie relationship. Both are driven single mindedly to their goals. Evemer is lovely though because unlike Surit he genuinely feels like a new guard and person in his life. Evemer’s internal conflict and outer conflict has a realism that other bodyguard esc fantasy stories rarely capture. While Evemer is the top guard best in his class he makes mistakes due to his newness and that’s relatable and will make you be head over heels for him. Also his descriptions of Kaduo are just top tier stuff. I kept thinking Do? I like men? Cause Kaduo seems to be the most beautiful human ever put to paper. *sigh.* also idk how to spell his name but Tadek? Have we checked to make sure he isn’t our boy Tennal from ocean’s echo. I adore him as well. Just a beautiful side character we don’t get to see the POV from and the rollercoaster of emotions make you want to hold him close and tell him to just be himself. Which is 😭😭😭what I want. I’ve heard there is a short about Tadek and I’m worried I’m gonna love him too much. I’d already be SO EXTREMELY HAPPY IF HIM EVEMER KADUO were a poly couple. Tbh.

But anyways come read this book peeps. Trust me. It’s long it’s worth it no slow bits.

anyways i would love to read the other stories that u have bc i love how ur characterization of everyone in the story from the mc, gojo, and choso to shoko, ino, and even naoya. while not everyone had a lot, i was still able to get to know every single person u mentioned. another thing that i think ur amazing at that is highlighted very well throughout tfl was ur ability to build up a certain character or event. nanami’s night, choso’s comeback, and sukuna pt 2 were some of my fav parts to read bc u built up each one perfectly tbh.

so a friend of mine just got outed to her ultra religious parents by her fucking shitty ex. it really fucking sucks and I so badly want to [redacted] the dude who did it. It especially sucks because like, I befriended this gal maybe a year into transition and she was still closeted/figuring stuff out at the time but would ask me some stuff about transition and I was happy to help. My first "baby trans" of being a woman who was out.

anyways her boyfriend seemed okay on twitter, tbh was always a bit annoying but then again who am I to judge. Our interactions were alright and it was just neat having some moots. Then twitter shat the bed and I made a lil friend server on discord for people I liked. I ended up sending a invite to both cuz they expressed interest and unfortunately the annoying vibes from boyf were correct. Dude would ping her in the server to get him to respond to their dms and say a buncha yikes things. I think he even mentioned being republican or smth which wasnt a hit in the "leftist tranny" discord server. Mostly he made peeps uncomfy but I was hesitant to give the boot to him because of his connection to someone I liked.

Then there was one point where I was in vc with him and baby trans messaged me saying "hey be careful with what you say around him" and then sent me a screenshot after he ended up going on a tirade against her for expressing interest in piercing her nipples at some point

at this point, i basically just stopped interacting with the dude in the server. I very much wanted to kick him, both from the server and irl but I was worried about escalating things and putting my friend in danger so I kinda just bit my tongue. eventually they broke up and I asked whether she'd like me to kick him or not and she told me she I didnt have to if I were comfy with him. I still didnt kick cuz I was worried about retaliation but my man was on thin ice, especially because I had just settled into a new place after fleeing a controlling man so I was not pleased with him.

Anyways then I made a joke about being gay in my sapphic tranny server and he was like "Wait, you like MEN????". Honestly, I had never felt like you could hear a pin drop in a digital space before. Anyways yeah I pulled out the boot after that.

Then dude was insistent on vc'ing me to "talk about what happened" and wouldnt stop messaging me trying to set up this call rather than just explain in text. Honestly I got the vibe this was intentional, I've had too many HR meetings to really buy that shit any more. I decided to entertain him just to get him off my back but then he kept pushing me so I eventually said I'll think about it. dude kept pushing and pushing me over text for updates for the next three days where I honestly just fucking ghosted him because of other life shit. Eventually I caved and told him to give me some space because I needed it and he went off about "Do you see how thats better than no response?" and then went on to talk about how "this issue isnt that big in the first place"

At that point I just never talked to him again. I figured his beef was with me and he has no leverage so I'm safe and hopefully baby trans is safe. Anyways fast forward half a year and god damn this girl has blossomed in the presence of other folks helping her through this stuff (if you end up reading this somehow, love you girl 💗). Unfortunately she learns that shitty ex has told ppl she cheated on him and thats why they broke up (girl absolutely has been too timid to pursue anything since, this is 100% a boldfaced lie. But gosh you rly should ask alex out already). She ends up making a very calm post clearing the air about how this isnt the case and she didnt feel safe around him due to the threat of being outed (above). No @'s, no names, just a simple post.

And then her dad gets a text talking about every little thing that could be used against her, from her caffeine addiction (lmfao) to her not rly being christian and eats weed gummies. Oh and, you know, she "wants to identify as a woman and have started taking drugs for hormone replacement therapy". As an aside, the text mentions she's "been dating a man for a year now" and "have sucked a couple of dicks". but who's dick i wonder 🤔. Also she's "never liked women and is attracted to penises" if this werent so fucking awful id be laughing my ass off.

The text ends with "I'd suggest confronting [deadname] about this since they're clearly out of your control and could learn a lesson about insubordination and respect". Not rly being subtle there bud. Anyways, me and my friends have spent all fucking day making sure our gal is safe and has a place to stay and are emotionally supporting her and I'm just so fucking angry. Her entire life has been uprooted, her autonomy violated, her existence endangered because this fucking prick decided he wants to be a petty motherfucker. For the record, she has temporary housing and is safe right now, but she's going to come out of this with such deep scars.

I think the worst part is, is that he's got a lot of trans women friends/mutuals. He was practically bragging about it in my server. i’m a mockumentary nut, i have to admit. the thick of it is my favourite thing in the world, and i also love tangential styles of filmmaking like peep show. what makes meet the richardsons all the better is the fact it’s about britcom? LMAO i know that sounds so obvious, but it’s like the epitome genre of filmmaking about the epitome genre of tv? to me ≧◡≦ because we get a lot of the nuance of the insider jokes, in a way, and i also feel like we’re learning more about how jon and lucy function as comedians, as well. for example, jon’s personal philosophy re: not wanting to work with lucy to the degree they’re considered a double act as well as wanting to pursue what he considers artistically engaging modes of comedy and even drama, so turning down shit game shows and brand deals. like, he has a very specific definition of artistic and celebrity integrity that really isn’t wavering. i can’t say, based on what we already knew about him, that that’s surprising! it was very interesting and ofc entertaining how that was explored in the series through his relationship with his agent and other comedians, for example. and i love all of the personal references in the series — like, the fast and subtle reference to hannah hauxwell, for example, which reinforces both jon’s active interest and pride in northern english culture as well as his engagement with finer arts beyond dishwasher jokes and panel shows. i felt, interestingly, despite these characters surely being characters, i did form somewhat more of a rounded impression of the real jon! i think o_o hehe~

i'm also really impressed by the way it transitions between scripted and improv, and while they might not be stretches of characters just how good they both are at acting (especially jon, because he has the more emotionally laborious side-stories)! when they make each other break and crack up my heart skghkjdfgsjdf i loved the outtakes s02e09 episode more than anything in the world i was so giddy watching that. do i need to make a little compilation? because 💓

1) The Encouraging Leader (H and Pete)

Both didn’t win in their last MCC, and they’re given a chance this time. Both are charismatic and charming leaders in their own ways with a heavy respect for the hermits/Kara that many other competitive players don’t show.

2) The Chill Sensei (Fruit and False, kind of)

Both have proven their worth in past MCCs, but still sorta underestimate themselves while at the same time knowing they’re pretty damn decent players. Both are comparatively quiet and don’t like to interrupt others, but their ideas are often well thought out.

3) The Dodgebolt Prophecy/ The One Who Has Potential But Is Insecure (False and Grian)

Both are noted to be quite competitive and have pop off potential. They just need someone/something to make them go feral.

4) The Also Insecure Hype Support That Also Pops Off (Ren and Kara)

Both are extremely friendly and supportive people who never hesitate to offer an encouraging word. They keep on underestimating themselves and apologising for “performing badly” but everyone else, especially the leaders (H and Pete), are Having None of It.

Now onto the similarities:

Circumstances, maybe? Pete didn’t get into Dodgebolt last time so he probably wants to (like how H didn’t win in MCC8?). Grian has never been to Dodgebolt and desperately wants to step foot in the arena exactly like pre-MCC9 RenFalse. Kara and pre-MCC9 False were both loyal participants who got bottom half. Fruit and Kara both won once before.

Established duos: hermit duo (RenFalse and GrianFalse) and the non-hermit but we’re friends duo (Cherrybomb and PeteKara).

The structure. Two hermits and one S tier/ beloved leader. H and Pete are Known for getting into Dodgebolt. For the hermit half, Grian has never won, like RenFalse. (Also one HEP member and one MR member but that’s kinda irrelevant lmao)

Training arc. Both built up trust, affection, and there was a lot of chill bantering without ignoring strategy.

H and Pete wholly believed in their insecure teammates

Enter the Dodgebolt Prophecy: H screamed about False carry, Grian got an ace in practice Dodgebolt. Note: both are hermits who had never been into Dodgebolt before.

Slept on (kinda). Blue was almost completely slept on, while Purple was generally ranked 4th to 8th. Purple was not really slept on though because some people (like me haha) know their potential

MCC Day. Cherrybomb (H and Fruit) wanted to win, while RenFalse didn’t believe they could even come close. However, False is more confident now. On a whole, Purple wanted to win.

First half. Blue did average, while Purple... got kinda low to average tbh.

The First Game Changer: Ace Race and HITW. Fruityloops popped off in Ace Race while False magically glitched through the walls with the power of Protagonist Armour (yes she’s the protag no you can’t argue with me /lh). This boosted their morale after a rather depressing start. They all start screaming for the Chill Sensei (Fruit/False) and their amazing performance.

The Hype Support!! Ren and Kara were both ecstatic for the teammates despite thinking they did badly and “dragged the team down”. These two were literally like “Y’ALL AMAZING!! i just suck lmao”. They trusted their team more than they trusted themselves. H and Pete were quick to encourage Ren and Kara. (Of course the other teammates also did, it’s just that the Encouraging Leaders were a bit more significant.)

Then the TRUE GAME CHANGER. If Blue had SG, Purple had Rocket Spleef. Although Purple’s victory was predictable compared to Blue Stab Domination. Either way, this cheered them up immensely. Suddenly, the hermitteam was a threat! Wow! Reddit! Who could’ve known! Much surprise. I am so so surprised that the S tier with hermits (that have been playing for ten years)and amazing support is doing well. Wow. It’s almost like a very specific community totally didn’t believe in Blue and Purple from the very beginning. Underdogs RISE UP! :DDD

Sands of Time. Blue did okay and made smart moves, Purple was scuffed but they were also smart even though Pete died and Grian couldn’t get out. Either way, SoT allowed them to keep/improve their current ranking.

I’ll omit Build Mart, since that was almost exactly like MCC11 Orange Ocelots. However, one similarity: one very important late game. Blue got their least wanted game but did amazing anyway. Purple got their most wanted game and did amazing. They also upset everyone, which I will say again, is very sexy of them. Nothing is better than teams raising the middle finger to Reddit predictions. I’ll say Build Mart could be an extension of Rocket Spleef aka. Purple’s SG since both games brought the teams to Dodgebolt.

Dodgebolt. Oh man. Similarity: Reverse Sweep. Difference: ... on different sides of the reverse sweep

Dodgebolt Prophecy comes true: False almost managed a 1v3, Grian was a fucking beast with his quick fire. Audience started screaming/simping about False and Grian.

KARA CLUTCHED NOT UNLIKE FALSE SUPREMACY!! We have underestimated women on the arena with their boizz (and False for Purple) cheering for them!!

Let us talk about Fruity B and Grian. One takes his time to shoot and gets killed because of it. One does NOT take his time to shoot. Both strategies were successful to some degree. I just think this is funny.

One thing I’ll always remember is that how H screamed “LET’S MAKE THIS INTERESTING!!” This to me, boosted his team because it sort of implies even if they lost Dodgebolt, they already won because they gave Green a victory they had to fight for. Purple certainly made the Dodgebolt interesting with the initial domination and Grian’s quick fire. This is why I think they were happy with second— they popped off and had no regrets.

In conclusion: both teams completely fucking upset Reddit with SG and Build Mart. And they’re so (deservedly) smug about it because they KNOW their worth, it’s just that A Lot of People Didn’t. They had similar structures with similar dynamics and cheeky bantering/supportive/wholesome vibes. We have no choice but to stan.

Akiteru Tsukishima - Let me start off by saying that I am absolutely in love with Akiteru, and because I love him so much, I shall pair him with you! Lauren, I am in love with you from the very first moment you’ve hit me up, I feel like our vibes match and because I feel the same way with Akiteru, I believe he would really vibe with you too! He’s an absolute sweetheart who will go out of his ways just to make you happy, you’d both spend hours chit chatting about the most random things, just giggling constantly, and before you know it, it’s already really late at night. He LOVES taking photos of you, and his phone is filled with photos of the two of you. Ittetsu Takeda - Listen, as much as I believe Keishin is the perfect man for us you, Takeda is another husband material, adorable man who would also be just as perfect.

Takeda is so weak for you, he’ll spoil you rotten where he can, and his affection bank is unlimited, will constantly remind you that he loves you. He’s also really shy, so sometimes, he’ll try to be “sexy” and initiate something, only to stutter and blush terribly when he attempts to execute it, so please be kind HAHA (I think find that really endearing tbh). Fully understands how tiring it can be to work with children, he is also a teacher after all, so at the end of each day, you’ll both take warm baths together, cuddling as you laugh about all the silly things your kids had done today. Sometimes he will help substitute for you too, if you ever need to take a day off.

Saw you've been sucked into the MMO life in the form of FFXIV and I was wondering if you had any input into the debate I've been having about what class archetypes tfw would play. I think Sam would be most likely to tank because it requires a reasonable amount of leadership and is also more of a quiet, backbone type role compared to dps. Dean seems more the type to be singularly focused on the big damage hits tbh. He also tends to take more of the charging in and fighting role in their normal life with Sam being the one reading up on everything more carefully and being his backup. Which leaves Cas as healer which may just be me projecting because I play healer/support at every opportunity but literal angel healing aside I think that sorta fits too, he cares a lot for them and tries to keep them safe and shield them as best he can in their adventures? Idk half formed thoughts please completely contradict me if you want I'm genuinely curious about other people's opinions here

If you’d asked me back when I was a WoW player I’d have fully agreed because you could only have one class per character and these are definitely the snap decisions that the fam would make when on the character screen. Dean would grab the sexiest DPS, Sam the stoutest tank especially as he’s the one who has read into the classes and strats beforehand, and Cas would ask what to do and be given the healer role because the other two in this scenario would know better about the game and sort of lump it onto him like, oh, we need a healer and you can do this.

(In my own gaming journey, this is what my friends and brother did to me, as they needed a healer to round out their party... I took druid because it was spoopy, and discovered in WoW that while you can’t change classes you can pay gold to respec your character’s role within that class... Promptly re-specced to a melee dps/tank feral druid instead of the healer one, and had a lot more fun :D)  

In FFXIV you can take all the classes on your character (which I have done, natch) and it’s a much more interesting levelling approach, especially seeing how my friends playing the game have gone when it comes to taking classes as they level and why they claim to have tried and then rejected others. It’s an enormous personality test, even for peeps like me and my brother who have all the classes up at max level, which ones we prioritised and which ones we sort of struggled with or found a bit meh. 

Hm so in the scenario that Charlie comes bursting into the Bunker demanding that she needs some friends for dungeons and raids and they’re all sitting on their asses scrolling the internet between a case, they can bloody well play final fantasy with her for a bit, let’s go for some headcanons :D Long because FFXIV has become my current obsession and I have the same in-depth feels about it as I do about SPN but I just never get to write about them with anyone... 

First off, Sam of course has deep nerdery about it and will ask Charlie a ton of questions about what the right class to play is and do the same thing as we’ve already discussed and go for Paladin (which starts as gladiator), and also take all the crafting and gathering side classes because he’s a nerd and you learn nonsense lore while doing it. He’s also in the same starting zone as Thaumaturge which transitions to Black Mage and I BET he’d be tempted to have a little safe witch!Sam emotional release on the most un-Sam class. It’s the big unwieldy spell caster whose literal class quests and stuff make fun of how you’re small and squishy and will be standing in a very bad spot debating whether to finish a long-cast spell and get hit or stop DPS and run for safety. I think he could do with the perspective and learning to be selfish either way to blow off steam from tanking and also learn to prioritise himself IRL :’D Also the paladin quest is WEIRDLY pro-cop from 30 onwards for some reason until the writers saw sense and just. stopped. doing paladin stuff and went back to the Gladiator storyline for the class quests, so idk if he’d enjoy that or start to question other things. Whatever it is he’s getting challenged XD

At 60 he grabs Gunbreaker because it sounds more cool and is thankfully way less emotionally stressful tanking as it’s entirely about being a badass bodyguard and sick flips. This is far more aspirational for Sam, especially as he could just tie a knife to a sawn off shotgun and do these moves for real in his day job. He won’t, but like with black mage, the thought that he COULD is very emotionally satisfying to him.

He might also have decided to check out scholar to see how healing is but idk if he would be able to handle Dean teasing him for having a fairy follow him around so he’d only dabble with the nerd class on the side :P  

Now, Dean can’t take ninja until level 10 or machinist (gun shooty DPS class) until 50, so his start point as DPS would either be pugilist (eeeey brass knuckle class!) or the other DPS classes to start with are Thaumaturge/Black Mage, Arcanist/Summoner, Archer or Lancer. Now. He’d probably think the first two are sissy because magic is for girls/arcanists literally only have a book as a weapon. Archer becomes bard and I think is ultimately a place he’d be very happy as it is a very supportive class to the whole party and basically the mom friend class. But I would love if he went lancer/dragoon because the level 50 class weapon is (folklore inspired name) “Gae Bolg” and every time I equip it I can’t help giggling at the name even though I know it’s a real thing and I shouldn’t. But. Like. It’s the class about waving enormous lances around. It’s got Implications, and Dean is drawn to those. 

He’d probably, however, take rogue/ninja as soon as he could because stabbing things with knives, and the class trainer is the kinda guy who’d have wild gay tension with him while they both try to boast about women to each other, were they to meet irl. Ironically, the rogue trainer (a womanising charmer) and the ninja trainer (an intense, honourable guy bad at social cues even among his own people who ends up falling from grace and choosing to stay in the vicinity of said rogue trainer) are an interesting pair of NPCs to teach Dean about where to stick knives. :) 

He’d go back and power-level dragoon once he starts Heavensward though, because Aymeric is also super intense with messy dark hair and big blue eyes that see right through you. :D He’s getting that gae bolg for him, you know? 

If they’re going to bully Cas to be their healer, he’d probably get really dedicated to the discipline especially as he can stay up all night to play and doesn’t need to take breaks to pee so he’d probably level conjurer/white mage (nature healing) and scholar (ancient book lore with a class quest which mixes ancient curses on a whole people, family drama and a bit of interspeciesish love) and then also pick up astrologian, which is good because it’s spooky star and making your own fate magic. The storyline for that is garbage in the sense that it’s really weakly written, but my favourite character randomly picks up AST in the latest expansion, and has an absolutely fucking wild subtextual romance with another character, including SPN level adopting of a random child who matches Jack in many respects, with said character. And in many respects emotionally they’re Cas and Dean but without any of the personal baggage between them specifically so they really are just chill and married, whatever else they’re stressed about (I say, dreading the next patch is going to finally bring up some questions about what is going on with them as it’s getting weirdly conspicuous while still utterly unsaid). So I would hope if Cas started projecting onto an astrologian character it would be him :P 

Cas also would get into summoner as the other branch of scholar because honestly those two classes are about as close to the random sigil drawing and reading things from books etc analogy to his own occult magic, except you can summon cool dragons and elementals to fight for you. 

they’d buy Jack a boost to 60 and he’d pick up dark knight and white mage probably just to subtly fuck with Dean 

(I am still not over Dean trying to test him to see if he was evil or not by whether he chose devil or angel cake)

(full disclosure, I made this edit almost a month before our queen dropped her re-recorded version, so please don't give me grief for using the older version *hides behind her palms*)

TBH for a while there I really thought Jae On and Na Bi weren't going to be endgame in this drama, and that line of thought led me to think of how Na Bi would want Jae On to remember her, to regret the things he'd done to her, or to regret ever letting her go.

Same from Jae On's POV too, I felt like he had a vengeful side that would make its appearance somewhere around ep 8 and would want Na Bi to keep thinking of him and their tempestuous love. We all know that they ended up together, but I just couldn't stop thinking of this non-happy ending MV I had already planned in my head set to this song.

Wildest Dreams is all about regrets, wishing for the past, and has hints of nostalgia, a little bit of hiraeth too and of course, love. And this love is not always of the healthy, non-toxic kind. Which okay, I might as well have described Na Bi and Jae On in the above sentences...

Let’s review, quickly.

Camping. Car trouble. A ride into town with a kind of funny if not a little weird guy (he seemed sweet really, just a little off.) Looking for help. Finding help. Finding him, damn was he attractive.

Would take a while to fix up your car apparently, your friend, known for getting bored easily and decided to go hang around with that guy, Lester, who drove you into town while you decided to stick a little closer to this alluring stranger, Bo.

So again.

How did you get here?

Bent over the hood of your car, in broad daylight, hooking up with said attractive stranger.

He was just so damn hot, and how he talked? God how could you not want to do whatever he asked with that voice. You had been flirting with him shamelessly ‘helping’ with him fixing up your car, it was hot out so you had a good excuse for your outfit but that still didn’t stop him from calling out how obscene your jean short shorts were. You were bent over to pick something up, had been flirting for a damn long time already, when you finally felt his hand on your ass, must have finally pushed him far enough, thank God for that.

“These shorts a yours are criminal.”

You let out a soft laugh before replying,

“Oh yeah?”

“Yeah.”

Fuck those hands of his, it escalated surprisingly quickly after that, you kinda forgot where you were but this town did seem surprisingly empty at this time of day, if it was quick maybe you wouldn’t get caught.

His other hand joined the first as they roamed freely, one snaking around front, feeling you over the front of your shorts, the other one sliding up over your stomach, up to your chest, feeling you through your shirt, his chest pressed to your back. You were still slightly bent over when he undid your shorts with one hand and rough finger tips sliding in between your shorts and panties making you let out a soft moan. You pushed back against him and fuck he was hard, you ground back against him and soon there you were.

Bent over on your stomach, over the hood of your messed up car, shorts pulled down just far enough for him to fuck you. He was right over you, one hand up the front of your shirt and under your bra, other hand on your hip, grip hard, pulling you back as he drove forward into you. His hand finally left from under your shirt, sliding up over your neck, grip hard on your jaw, pulling you back the little bit closer to him, he leaned in and bit down before said low in your ear,

“Then shut up.”

You certainly didn’t expect your day to turn out this way. You were camping with a close friend and when you woke up to find her car fucked up you were worried you’d be stranded in the middle of fucking no where in a state that you’ve never even visited before late alone lived in. It was a huge relief that rough looking pick up truck came by and mercifully provided you help in the form of a lift to the nearby town of Ambrose in hopes of getting your friends car fixed.

The guy who drove you in, Lester, was surprisingly nice, and sweet, you got the vibe that people didn’t listen to him much which was a little upsetting for you because he clearly had a lot to talk about, a lot he was passionate about. Problem was most people didn’t want to hear about animal bones or knives, you however liked how he talked about what he liked.

Once you were in town and found out it would be a long while before the car would be fixed you decided to leave your friend to hang out with this other man, Bo, that she oh so obviously was into. You chose to spend some time with Lester to get to know him a little better and he seemed really happy and thankful for that, didn’t seem like people would spend time with him much.

You asked him to show you around, take you somewhere he liked best in town, he showed you around a few places before you ultimately ended up sitting in the grass near the outskirts of town, still just talking.

You were holding his knife and turning it around in your hands as you listened to him. You weren’t 100% sure when you decided it but you had, it had been a while, he was nice, cute and you wanted to and that was reason enough.

So that is how you had ended up on top of him, straddling his lap and kissing him, he seemed a little surprised but after that initial moment of shock he was returning it tentatively and you lead him further. Guiding hands where you wanted them and he seemed so eager and ready to please and that was a turn on, the urgency and how it was a little sloppy and rushed was hot too. Soon you had your hands on him too, he was hard and leaking already when you first touched him, the muffled groan he let out against your neck was so good.

As much as you liked the sounds he was making and hearing him talk, you were still in semi-public, still were trying to be quiet, you hushed him, paused for a moment, hand gripping around his shaft and he would reply low and frantic,

“Okay, okay, don’ stop.”

You would continue and he would be good and would be quiet for about a minute before those sweet strained sounds were escaping his throat. When you lined him up and sunk down on him he had his arms tight around you, face buried in the space between your neck and shoulder to try and muffle his moans because fuck you felt so damn good to him.

You rode him like that, hands on his shoulders, so close together, the friction felt amazing like this, you were doing a much better job of keeping quiet than poor Lester was though, he just couldn’t help it,

“Shit tha-s, good fuc-”

You let out a breathy laugh, it was playful when you said it,

“I said shut up already.”

His grip tightened on you a little harder when he let out a low groan thrusting his hips up to meet you before mumbling,

“S’ harrrd.”

You chuckled and pulled back a little before leaning down to kiss him again, he cursed against your mouth, kiss sloppy for a moment before breaking it and you whispered,

“C’mon try. For me?”

Yeah he could do that.
