the apartment across from mine just installed ring on their door. what if I don't want to be recorded every time I enter and exist my apartment, fuckos? according to the website it looks like it's got motion sensors so it is definitely recording me every time I walk past it aka every time I enter or exist my apartment. fuck off.
#I almost want to put a note on my door (with roommate's permission) that's like 'I do not consent to being recorded' or smth idk#I did look it up and these things are way less expensive than I assumed they were#they look like they got the $50 doorbell and the basic monthly plan is $5#which is waaaaaaayyyyy cheaper than the rent at any apt building around here with some actual security#but like there's been a handful of times where me or my roommate forgot to lock the door at night and nothing happened#at least once some people came in and out for repairs and left the unit unlocked with no one home and nothing happened#you don't need it!!!!#nina rambles

"Since when are you into gaming?" the voice from behind you asked, you immediately put your phone down as your roommate take the seat across from you.
A knowing smirk on her face.
"Since I was a kid, I'll have you know I'm a pro at building houses in Sims" the lie slides out so easy you almost thought your roommate believes it
"Oh so not because you think that gamer dude is cute?"
It's not the first time she's seen you watching his live, sometimes she can hear it from your room behind the closed door or your phone sitting on the counter as you wash dishes.
Maybe you really are into gaming or a bigger maybe you might be into the dude who's gaming.
"Who? Him? I just scrolled past his live, totally random" you shrug your shoulders
"Mhm, so I didn't hear you squeal last night when he went live after going on a break for a month?"
"How did you know he was on a break?" you ask
"How did YOU know?" she asks back. She caught you there, when you don't say anything she just laughs. "It's okay to admit if you're crushing on him, I'd understand. He's all yours though"
"I don't have a crush on him"
"Mhm and I'm not failing Spanish"
"You know what I'll leave you here, you need to study and I need to go" you tell her while you gather your stuff on the table, "You're not actually mad right?"
You chuckle at her question, "You weren't wrong so I can't be mad. Anyways, bye"
It took a few seconds for her to process what you just said, by the time she did you're already out the library.
You walk out the campus premises, the weather's great so you decided to just walk. You put on you're earphones and enjoy the scenery, your feet on auto-pilot ready and set to take you to your destination.
When you got to the building, you let your self in and giving the building's doorman a wave on your way to the elevator. You punch the code on the keypad to let yourself in, the inside of the apartment a stark contrast from the bright sun outside. The black out curtains are drawn making the room dark like it isn't 4pm right now.
You take your shoes off and put your stuff down before getting your phone to see if Wonwoo is streaming and sure enough he was.
He's also a student in your university, he streams when his schedule lets him. Whenever you're alone you let his videos play in the background, kind of like a white noise for you.
You get some snacks from the kitchen, then walk to the window to let some light in before getting comfortable in the living room while you finish some of your pending works.
After a while you hear Wonwoo say goodbye to the stream then the screen turns dark. You turn your phone off, putting it back down on the coffee table.
From down the hall, you hear the door open then footsteps coming towards the living room.
Wonwoo spots you immediately, sitting on the living room floor with books and notes infront of you and your phone lying on the side. You must've been watching him.
"Oh, when did you get here?" he smiles at you, walking towards where you were then taking the vacant space on the floor beside you. He sits sideways so he's facing you, legs resting on either side of you.
"Like 30 minutes ago, you were in the middle of your stream so I thought I should finish some of this" you point at the piles of paper infront of you before turning your attention back to him "You had fun? You probably missed streaming"
"It's fun, some of the viewers and a few followers asked where I was last month I just said I needed a break" he smiles back at you, tucking a few strands of hair back then giving your ear a pinch making you giggle at the action.
That short break was actually the two of going on a trip as your first anniversary celebration. He surprised you with a trip outside the country for two weeks, just in time for term break so it worked out fine.
He could've streamed while the two of you were away, he has a laptop he could bring or stream when you got back after the trip but instead he chose to spend that time with you. It was nice having his undivided attention. Not that he ever made you feel ignored, never.
"You'll break so many hearts when they find out you're not actually single" you let out a short laugh
"I never said I was, after our first date whenever someone asks if I'm single I would say no" he says to you
"1st date? but that was such a long time ago" you recall the memory of your first day. You've been crushing on him for a while, like since you first saw him, and by some miracle one day he asked you out on a date. The two of you went to the aquarium then dinner. He courted you for a while before the two of you became an official couple, but even before that you already know you weren't going to let go of him that easy.
Here you are now a year later.
"I know" he shyly admits.
"So what do you say? You just say you're taken?"
"Kinda, I don't like talking about my personal life online so I just answer in the most simple way. I never denied I had a girlfriend so I guess it's up to them if they didn't get it" he shrugs
"Huh, I didn't"
"Huh?"
"I watch your streams, guess I never caught on"
"You watch my streams? Until now?"
"Yeah, I like watching you. It's comforting, kinda like my own comfort show"
He knows you watch him, whether you're in the same room as him or here in his home or when you're back at your own place you always tune in his stream. You really are his biggest fan.
"You know my roommate is starting to catch on, she thinks I have a crush on this 'gamer dude'" you make air quotes at the nickname, this makes Wonwoo chuckle
"Do you now?" he teases
"Yea, I think he's kinda cute. Apart from that time he wore that black button up. I was ready to throw hands"
He laughs at that, remembering just how you barged in his gaming room after the stream ended.
"You're never letting that go are you?"
"Never, you looked so good I almost grabbed you out of the screen. Not fair they get to see how hot my boyfriend is"
Wonwoo blushes at your words. Those words being used to describe him isn't new to his ears, but it's different when you say it. He can feel the butterflies flutter in his stomach, something only you can do.
Not even the scariest game can make his heart race like you.
"Do you want do drop by on my next stream or whenever?"
"Drop by?"
"I mean like just... be there. If you wanna show your face it's okay but if you don't want to it's okay too. No pressure. I don't want you thinking any of those faceless names on my screen can ever replace you" letting the words tumble out one by one because your gaze is making him nervous
You just stare at him as he talks, slowly a smile forming on your face then you're attacking him with a hug
"You're so cute, you know that?" you mumble against his neck where your face was pressed against, he chuckles at your question. Tugging you closer to him until you're straddling his lap
"Just making sure you know"
"I know, I always know. Don't you worry about that, just do you okay? I'll be here right beside you always. No matter what it is you want to do"
And he knows that too. You've always been his cheerleader, the one who always talks him into things he never thought about doing. In a way, you brought him out of his comfort zone in the most comforting way. You being there always eased his mind.
He smiles at you again before closing the distance between the two of you, giving you a kiss like he's saying he missed you today or all those days you weren't with him. He just always makes you feel like you're meant to be there with him.

pairing; wonbin x reader
genre; fluff, comfort (in a way)
warnings; none
note; idk what to think about this but i hope y’all will like it anyway !!
all at once
in which you convince your boyfriend wonbin to make bracelets with you and he ends up making one specifically for you…
“i can‘t believe you’re making me do this,” wonbin sighs while he sits down on the floor, next to you.
“oh, don’t act like you don’t love this,” you grin, taking out your beads, and everything else you need to make bracelets, from the bag you brought with you.
“you know what i love?” wonbin smirks, suddenly pulling you closer to him.
“hmm.. no, i don‘t think i do?” you tease him, smirking against his lips.
wonbin plants a kiss on your lips and you fight off every desire to take this any further because wonbin’s roommates are all at home and you don’t want them to just burst into the room out of nowhere.
“let’s get to work,” you let go of wonbin and start collecting out the beads that you want to use for your bracelet.
wonbin does the same, but he’s struggling to find colors that he wants to use. for him, this isn’t just making any bracelet. he wants to make one for you. and it needs to be perfect, because in wonbin’s eyes, you deserve nothing but the best.
you wonder why it’s taking him so long to search out the beads, but your worries get brushed off once shotaro enters the room and sits down on the floor.
“i want to make a bracelet too,” he says, not really asking you for permission to use your beads, but you don’t mind. out of all the roommates wonbin has, shotaro is your favorite.
wonbin doesn’t even notice shotaro coming into the room, he’s too busy thinking about the bracelet that he’s making for you. he‘s putting all his focus into it. wonbin doesn’t even get mad when shotaro makes you laugh so hard that you almost start tearing up (because he is the only one who’s allowed to make you laugh like this), no, he’s too invested in the bracelet. right now, he’s deciding what he should use to make it more special. more meaningful.
“shotaro, your bracelet looks so cool,” you say, admiring his work. even though shotaro just started it, he’s halfway done already.
“yours doesn’t look that bad either,” he grins.
“can you two stop flirting? i‘m trying to concentrate,” wonbin glares at shotaro and you which makes you both laugh.
“hey, look who finally acknowledged my existence,” shotaro throws a bead at wonbin’s head, which just annoys him even more.
“if you keep flirting with my girlfriend, my fist will also acknowledge your existence.”
your heart jumps at the mention of ‘girlfriend’. wonbin and you have been dating for a long time, but everytime he calls you his girlfriend it still feels like the first time. it makes you feel so happy, excited, loved… it makes you feel so many things all at once.
wonbin makes you feel so many things. no matter what he does or say.
“wohooo, how scary,” shotaro grins even more.
he knows wonbin would never actually hurt him, they’re best friends. he just likes to tease him from time to time so he can loosen up.
“if you’re done with your bracelet can you leave?” wonbin points to the door and shotaro rolls his eyes. “no, i‘m not done yet.”
“i think you are,” wonbin raises up his eyebrows.
“i‘m literally not,” shotaro looks confused, not understanding why wonbin is pushing this so much.
“you can finish it up somewhere else.”
“but the beads-”
“god, shotaro, just leave so i can have some privacy with my girlfriend!!”
this conversation between the two of them makes you laugh. seeing wonbin and shotaro bickering with each other is your happiness.
“you could have just asked nicely instead of forcing me,” shotaro pouts, standing up.
now wonbin feels bad.
“dinner is on me,” he says and shotaro starts grinning. “i wasn’t actually sad, i just knew you’d say this if you’d think i am.”
with that, shotaro happily jumps out of the room, leaving wonbin shaking his head with a big smile on his face.
“i hate him.”
“you love him. but not as much as me i hope,” you slip closer to wonbin and wrap your arms around him.
“there‘s no one i love as much as you,” wonbin leans in to kiss you, but he stops right before his lips land on yours. your heart sinks a bit, you were really anticipating the kiss.
“what’s wrong?”
“before i kiss you, i want to give you this,” wonbin pulls out the bracelet that he has been working on the whole time.
“it’s for you.”
your jaw drops a little and you’re shocked at how beautiful the bracelet is. you can tell that wonbin put in a lot of thought while making it because in the middle of the bracelet, he put in a bead which represents an inside joke that the two of you have.
“you didn’t have to do this,” you say, feeling sad because you didn’t make one for wonbin.
he softly grabs after your wrist and puts the bracelet on.
“i wanted to.”
then he looks up to you again, his eyes scanning your lips.
“and now i want to do this.”
seconds later, his lips intertwine with yours. you wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him as close to you as possible.
at this very moment, you don’t care about wonbin’s roommates being at home and the high possibility of them suddenly coming into the room.
no, all you care about is wonbin.. and the beautiful bracelet he made specifically for you.
and once again, wonbin does it ; he makes you feel so many things.. all at once. all indescribable. all beautiful.

Can you do Erik with a bratty gf glasses wearing girl ????
Rule #1: Refer to me as only daddy or sir
Rule #2: No panties
Rule #3: No cumming unless given you permission
Rule #3: No touching unless given permission
Rule #4: Always be honest
Rule #5: Don't be a Brat, Punishment will meet actions
(Y/N) sadly looked at Erik as he got ready for work. She knew that he was going to be busy all day for his 12 hour shift, probably not being able to see her for the rest of the day but that didn't matter. She needed him. She was mad at herself for being tired when she came over. Her classes had her stuck in her laptop and books, so as she soon as she saw his bed she was out like a light.
Erik didn't mind though, he knew that (Y/N) was working hard to become a RN, and he also knew that she needed her rest. Matter of fact, he needed her to have all her rest for Spring Break that was ahead. He was determined to use her to his content, (obviously with her consent) and he needed her to have all her rest. He took off the entire week just to spend time with her. This was the last day.
"Don't look at me like that." he told her. Her pouting, and her eyes enhanced by the glasses made him want to just call out and fuck her senseless now.
"I just miss you. I haven't had you in what.. two weeks?" she complained. He closed his eyes sighing. The way this girl was so persuasive didn't help his need for her. He grabbed her by his cheeks making her look at him. "Please daddy, I just want to put my mouth on it. Two minutes, please?" she pouted again. His squeeze tightened as her glasses moved on her face, being crooked. She fixed her glasses by pushing them with her middle finger in the middle.
"Be a good girl, okay? Daddy will take care of you when he gets home if your good okay? We will go to one of your favorite restaurants, I promise." he told her grabbing his coat and his lunch. He was dreading going into his 12-hour shift at the hospital as a neuro-surgeon.
The two of them met at a medical convention in L.A almost a year ago. Her school decided to do a field trip for all medical students to be able to have a chance of networking. He was a speaker at the convention, and immediately she caught his eye. She was in the front row, taking notes with her iPad with her red zee-loo framed glasses. She asked the most questions, and was the most entuned in the conversation. Obviously, a lot of the girl students were asking questions about him personally because of how good looking he was. (Y/N) was different, she wanted to get all of the details on the health field.
Now, here they are almost a year later, and Erik has have her heart and he has hers. Helping her with her studies, letting have a place to lay her head when she didn't want to be with her roommates.
Her pouting face was now angry, Erik automatically realized it. "Fix your face." he gave her a kiss on the lips as she rolled her eyes. Luckily, he didn't see it as he turned around walking to the door. "Break a rule and your ass is mine! Daddy loves you!" he yelled and he was out the door. She turned around looking at his empty apartment.
12 fucking hours.
She was on hour 8 and she did everything she could think off. She turned in some last minutes assignments, did the laundry, clean out his refrigerator, and cleaned up the entire apartment. She still had time to herself, so she decided to have a little fun. She'll start of small.
Recently just getting out the show, she sat in front of his wide body mirror taking pictures of herself. Some were innocent, some were not so innocent.
Erik sat down exhausted from the five hour surgery of a a traumatic car crash. Grabbing his phone, he saw that their was a few text messages from his dear (Y/N) grabbing it. Opening the text, he immediately put it back to his chest as he saw glimpses of what she was doing.
He turned around to make sure that there was no one staring from behind, before lowering his brightness and looking at the photos. "My God..." he whispered to himself.
There she took an innocent looking picture on the bed with nothing on. He could even see in the picture how she sat where her thighs and ass making her thickness more provident. The only piece of clothing (more like accessory) was those same red framed glasses that made him fall in love even more. The things he wanted to make her do was dangerous.
The next photo was her sitting on the floor, leaned against the bed with her spreading her pussy wide enough for him to see but not enough to see everything. The hints of red on her toes, on her fingers, and her glasses was something that was sending him on edge, especially with her dark skin.
Erik : Did I not tell you to touch yourself.. you tryna get that ass spanked I see.
(Y/N): Daddy I haven't touched myself, I just sent you pictures.
(Y/N): But it's so hard, can I play with one of your pillows daddy?
(Y/N): Technically I wouldn't be touching myself...
Erik : No little girl, what the fuck did I tell you
It was a minute before he received a response. He assumed she was upset with him for denying her a rightfully and much needed orgasm but he didn't care.
He was sadly mistaken.
There in their text thread, was a video of her riding one of his pillows, nipples hard, and clitoris grinding against the pillow. She was definitely in need of a orgasm with the way her clit was swollen and moving against the pillow.
Her eyes was to the back as she continued winding her hips, gripping onto the pillow with one hand and playing with her titties on the other hand.
With his eye twitching, his dick damn near pulsating, he knew he couldn't finish the rest of the shift.

Oh yeah, I updated this the other night and forgot to post the update here! Andrea is being thrown for a loop with Sam determined to believe there's good in her. Yes, this is a parallel with Kara and Lena. EXCERPT:
Sam woke early to make breakfast for Ruby and Andrea, the latter who still lay on the sofa. She must have gotten up in the night to wash up, as she was without makeup, and had chosen a book to read from one of Lena’s many bookcases.
Without her earplugs, Sam found herself distracted the sounds of National City, a discordant series of melodies and harmonies that wasn’t dissimilar to Metropolis. Ruby and Andrea’s heartbeats overruled the sounds of traffic, of bird’s wings, cats mewing and dogs barking, and steady conversations along sidewalks.
She flipped the pancake and hummed along to a neighbor three floors down that had their windows open, blasting Taylor Swift.
So when Andrea spoke behind her, Sam jumped and nearly threw the pancake into the ceiling. She caught it just in time in the pan. Turning she smiled, sheepishly. Andrea wore the clothes Sam had given her last night — sweatpants from National City’s university and a T-shirt with the words: banking on ice cream. So very different from the polished and put-together Andrea that had met her at the restaurant yesterday.
“Sorry.” Andrea held up her hands. “Just thought I’d ask if you needed help.” She shifted uneasily, her tone more apologetic than anything else.
“Nah, I’m almost done. Hungry?” Sam piled the last of the pancakes onto the plate next to the stove. “Made enough for three.” Though she had to admit with her Kryptonian powers returning, Sam found herself far more hungry than normal. But then she’d always needed a higher caloric intake than most people. She supposed even magic couldn’t hide a Kryptonian metabolism. It made her wonder how much of her Kryptonian genes Ruby inherited since the pre-teen had a ridiculously high metabolism for her age.
Andrea shrugged. “Do you do this every morning?”
“On weekends. There’s not a lot of time on weekdays.” Sam handed one of the pancake plates to Andrea, who took it gingerly. She carried the rest, including the syrup to the table. “Got to get Ruby to school or practice and get to L-Corp before the first meeting of the day. Means I often throw together oatmeal or eggs since they’re faster.”
“Nice.” Andrea placed the plate on the table and hovered by one of the chairs. “This place. Is it yours?” A crinkle in her forehead and the uptick in her heartbeat gave away her anxiety at the question.
“Am a roommate here.” Sam figured half-truth was best.
Andrea stared at her. “Lena.”
Sam’s eyebrows rose. “Why do you think this is her place? Could be anyone's.”
“Her books.” Andrea gestured toward the living room that was partially blocked by a wall and door. “I recognized a few that I’d given her. Lesbian novels. I looked in them, and there’s my note to her in them still.” Andrea frowned and clenched the chair tighter. “She… kept them.”
“Hmmm.” Sam sighed. She hadn’t wanted Andrea to guess this was Lena’s place, but nothing for it now. “I see. Well, rest assured you have permission to stay here.”
“Wait, Lena gave permission?” Andrea’s eyes widened. “Why? I betrayed her.”
To have Andrea outright admit it startled Sam. Lena made it sound like Andrea would betray at a moment’s notice. Yet here she was being oddly honest. “She trusts me,” Sam said. She scooped pancakes onto three plates and added the bacon and eggs as a side to each. Holding out the plate, she smiled, gently at Andrea. “I’m not going to put what happened between you and her between us. I’d still like to build a friendship at least with you, if that’s all right.”
Andrea took the plate and stared down at it. “Sam… I’m not to be trusted. I will betray you.”
“Eh, I’ll take the risk.” Sam shrugged. “It’s not like I haven’t been in a bad situation before and barely got out of it alive. Sounds like that’s where you are.”
Read the entire series here.

Did I put this off because I know nothing about Suna’s personality? Yes. Possibly.
I think this is badly rushed but only because I had writer’s block for so long EEK! I’m so sorry! And to the Tumblr requesters, don’t worry, I’m getting to you all now!
Title: Candid
Pairings: Suna x Reader
WARNINGS: Yandere themes, stalking, non-consensual photography (?), mild gore, death
Summary: Everywhere you go, you can feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when you hear the click of a picture being taken and that overwhelming feeling that you’re being watched. You really wish it was just you being paranoid.
Notes: Requested by someone on Wattpad.
candid
/noun/
(of a photograph of a person) taken informally, especially without the subject's knowledge.
The first time you heard the click of a phone camera taking your picture without your permission was when you were walking back to your dorm alone. It was quickly followed by a shattering sound and pounding footsteps. All that was left behind was a shattered screen protector, a product of your photographer’s panic.
You were freaked out, to say the least. But thankfully, the sound of their own phone frightened them away. You almost laughed, picturing some unknown creep’s embarrassed face when they realized they were caught and went back to the safety of your dorm.
But that wasn’t the last time you’d hear that sound. It was the start of a nightmare you could never wake up from.
Click, click, click.
Your photographer had grown bolder, to say the least.
That clicking sound had become far too familiar over the next two weeks. Every single time you left your dorm, you heard it, following you around campus unless others were near you. It got to the point that you no longer wanted your quiet alone time, you just wanted someone, anyone near you. Just so you wouldn’t feel those eyes on the back of your head and see that little flash in the corner of your eye.
Anything to stop feeling like your picture is being taken every moment of the day.
Your roommate couldn’t be there for you every time, and you felt like you were coming across as clingy by asking her to escort you everywhere. She had her own classes to worry about, on top of a job. As kind as she was, you didn’t want to add onto her already-heavy workload.
So when a boy from your Chemistry course offered to walk you back to your dorm, you found yourself agreeing. It was the middle of the day, so he couldn’t try anything without people noticing, and your photographer would back down too.
He wasn’t very talkative, which made the walk a little awkward. His eyes seemed to be glued to you, even if it was just out of the corner of his eye. The intensity of his stare unnerved you.
When you stopped at the door of your room, you felt a confusing mixture of two types of relief. Relief that your photographer never showed up once and relief that your uncomfortable walk with him was finally over.
“I never actually learned your name.” You admitted to the boy, the polite part of you wanting to thank him for walking you to your dorm.
“Suna.” You waited for him to continue, but he didn’t. A man of few words, you supposed.
“I’m Y/n, it’s nice-”
“I know.”
Unnerved, you swallowed back your concern and decided to end this “conversation”.
“Thank you for walking me back, I appreciate it.”
Suna simply smiled. A small, yet genuine, sweet little twitch of the lips. You had to admit, it was kind of cute.
“Any time, (Y/n).”
Walks back to your dorm with Suna became a normal part of your weekdays. The couple days you didn’t walk with him, the snaps of a camera haunted your way home, almost worse than ever before.
But, like all good things, it had to come to an awkward end.
“Will you go on a date with me?”
It made you inwardly wince, how rehearsed those words sounded. You wondered if he’d practiced before the two of you met up.
“I’m sorry, Suna, but I barely know you.” You left out the fact that he unnerved you with his intensely calculating stare and the way he walked just-too-close to you.
“Oh.”
And… that was it. You weren’t sure what you were expecting, but this wasn’t it. Suna’s expression didn’t even change, that impassive face blankly blinking back at you.
He stood and watched, unnaturally calm, as you walked away.
Why couldn’t you shake the feeling that this was just the calm before a storm?
Your mysterious photographer was silent, despite the fact that you no longer walked with Suna. In fact, you didn’t hear the camera sounds at any point of the day. Finally, you wondered if the creep gave up or lost interest. Or maybe you were making it up in your head all along.
You really wish that was the case.
“Damn it- where’s my room key?” Your backpack, purse, and surroundings gave no clue as to where your student card was. Without that, you couldn’t get into your dorm room- which was a big problem, considering the sky was darkening by the minute. You just wanted to watch some Netflix and snack on some chips, was that too much for the universe to allow?
Hastily typing out a message on your phone to your roommate, you continued to pack up your scattered belongings. A ding signaled her reply.
You: Hey, u at the room? Lost my key, gotta get a new one tmrw or something
Roomie: Yeah
It was a strangely short reply for the roommate you knew. Usually, she’d write half a paragraph or at least chew you out (in a light-hearted way) about how stupid you were to lose your card.
Maybe she was doing homework. Either way, all you needed to know was that she was there to let you into your safe haven.
The first drops of rain were hitting your head when you arrived at your dorm. You were beyond grateful that your roommate was there to save the day. To be honest, she was more like a sister to you than anything else. The random roommate pairing system didn’t fail you, like it did most unlucky on-campus students.
Your knuckles barely touched the door when it opened and slender fingers wrapped around your wrist, tugging you inside. But it wasn’t your roommate you came face-to-face with.
No, it was your worst nightmare.
Photographs pasted on the walls and desks, all featuring you, you, you. Photos of every size, with any person other than you cut out of it.
Every click of the camera was now laid out for you to see. But that was no longer your biggest concern.
Dead.
Your roommate… oh god… she laid on her bed, throat slit and blood everywhere- splattered on the walls and soaking the sheets. She was probably napping, you realized, and you prayed that she died peacefully. That she didn’t wake up when her killer loomed over her with your borrowed key card.
Because that’s how the killer got in. How he got in.
The man now blocking your only exit, that small, "sweet" smile gracing his lips again.
Suna Rintarou.
You felt dizzy- your world was spinning. Was that crying and screaming coming from you? It felt so far away… so detached…
Your vision swam with darkness, the shock numbing your senses. As you succumbed to unconsciousness, you heard Suna talking to you… a voice that sounded a mile away, yet right in your ear. With the arms wrapping gently around your form, it was most likely the latter.
“I know you don’t know me well, but I know you very, very well. You have time, Y/n, you have time…”
Why was it that you felt like your time was up?
Like every click of a camera was just the ticking of a clock, counting down to your inevitable doom.

Those are people who died, died Those are people who died, died They were all my friends and just died.
Word Count: 5736 Warnings: Crime, Weapons, Mentioned Murder of a R/pist, Crude humor.
Jason’s friend and roommate, another Gotham villain, is ordered to return to Task Force X.
ce·rise/səˈrēs,səˈrēz/ [noun] a bright or deep red color.
.✫*゚・゚。.★.*。・゚✫*.
Let’s open up our story on a colorful note: Fuck Amanda Waller.
Nobody likes her. You don’t like her. Jason doesn’t like her. None of the characters in this story like her. Arguably, none of the characters in your present universe like her, either. There’s a reason why people call her “The Wall”. It’s because that’s what it’s like talking to her. And that’s what it would be like trying to deny the request she’d passed on to you in her letter.
It weighed on your mind briefly as you walk up the stairs of your apartment building. By the third flight, the weight’s pretty much disappeared. Sure, there’s anger at Waller for violating your agreement, but it’s so useless being annoyed with her that it washes away fast. So by the fourth flight, the whole thing is settled in your head to completion. You’ll go back to your Suicide Squad- or a Suicide Squad, considering most people Waller selects are idiots. Then you’ll do the job, and walk away bing, bang, boom.
You tip your head politely as if in salute to the older woman, Mallorca, who occupies the apartment across from you. She returns a warm smile that raises her prominent and wrinkled jowls, igniting the fire in her warm brown eyes. “You need me to do your laundry again?”
Of course an angel such as Mallorca would make such an offer. It’s not a bad offer, either. Your dark, silver lined chest plate is splattered with blood all over the front. It’s nobodies blood that doesn’t deserve it, as per your agreement with Waller. Just some perverted little prick who thought with his dick instead of his brain with the wrong girl. She looked frightened, and you saved her, and since the prick had just hit 18 (a fact you learned after rummaging around his wallet after), you had permission to bash his brain in. Hence the blood splattered vigilante armor.
The first time Mallorca had seen such a sight, she had no reaction whatsoever. You weren’t sure what else you were expecting from an old woman living in a back alley apartment building, but it certainly wasn’t that. She offered no shock to your red masked, blood stained roommate either. Mallorca is simply an otherworldly being. And is that cocaine you see on the collar of her shirt?
“I got it,” you throw in return, rounding the corner so she’s at your back, and nearing the climb up the next and last flight of stairs. “Hey, is Jason home?” But when you turn around fully, Mallorca shows no intention of responding and has disappeared down your previous staircase. You clasp your hands against the sides of your thighs, “Oh, okay.”
You make your way up the final steps and stick a hand in a secret back pocket to fish around for your keys. You wince when you begin the rigorous task of tugging the lanyard free from the depths, which unfortunately fell near to your back hole. Then you slip the key into the lock and twist.
Inside your apartment is near emptiness. There’s a couch, a rug, some windows, a TV, and to your immediate right is a small kitchen beside a hallway that leads to a bathroom and two bedrooms. You see the large plant you’d stuck in the corner is wilted and tinged brown, and the TV is playing some movie with the sound muted. No sign of your roommate, however.
You toss your helmet and keys onto the couch. Then you make your way to the kitchen to search the fridge for a snack (that you know is not there) or perhaps some water. You bend down to peek an eye in, only to stand back up and close the thing. Then you pass over to the counter, and reach up to now peek an eye in the overhead cabinet.
“You’re home early.”
You let out a short-but cathartic- scream, jumping as you turn around. You relax quickly. It’s only Jason, and your face changes from shocked and panicked to simply annoyed.
The man at the other side of the room pulls his infamous red helmet from atop his face. Underneath is a classically masculine, handsome face with eyes that blend between green and blue. Black hair falls free in messy strands, accented by the one white tuft that you’ve claimed reminds you of a skunk. You tilt your head lazily in defeat. “How many times have I told you not to do that?”
Jason shrugs in his red hoodie and jeans, walking across the room to set the helmet on the coffee table. “Four. Any particular reason you’re home so early?” he flops himself onto the couch and kicks his feet up, crossing them tastefully next to the Red Hood helmet.
You turn back around to continue the task of grabbing a cup from the top cabinet. “It’s been five, and I apologize for assuming I could do what I wanted in my own home.”
“If you have to ask me to stop sneaking up on you five times, you’re probably a really bad vigilante.”
“Fuck,” you mutter as you fill the cup with tap water. “That’s true.”
You turn around to face Jason. His eyes are already on you, illuminated by the blue glow from the television. They linger purely on your form for a moment, then they dip down to narrow at your armor. “Were you the one who killed that guy on the back of main?”
You furrow your brows and look up with pursed lips in thought. “Are you talking about the main diner or the main records shop?”
“Main diner on main street.”
“No, that was Azrael. This was by the records shop.” You raise the glass to your lips.
Jason snaps his fingers. “Oh, that guy. The kid?”
You nod and take another sip of the water. “He just turned eighteen, so you know. Free game. So, what do you want for dinner? Pick something good. I’m going back to the squad so I won’t be here for a few weeks.”
Jason’s brows furrow for a split second, then he perks up attentively. “You’re going back to the task force?” he repeats, though it sounds defeated and disbelieving. Distraught- is that the word you’re looking for?
“Yeah,” you shrug. “I got the letter-” you set the cup of water down and reach a hand into your pocket. Then you pull the crumpled envelope free of its confines and toss it onto the counter, “-today.”
Jason’s eyebrows furrow again. This time the movement is quick and curved and almost offended. “So, that’s it then?”
“What’s wrong, Jason?” you smirk. “Did you finally fall in love with your roommate turned friend? I always knew this day would come.”
“Uh, no?”
“Suit yourself.”
You turn back around and begin rinsing the cup out. Jason watches your back, something in his chest sinking. You weren’t his best friend. Besides living together, you weren’t really all that close. You were living a life a lot like his, running around at night as some antihero vigilante. The only difference was that you’d crossed paths with Waller and had managed to make it out of her system alive. Most antihero vigilante’s weren’t so lucky. Most of them died. But now you’re telling Jason right to his face that you’re going back. That you think you’ll only be gone a few weeks when it could just be forever. Sprayed with dark blood all over... what if it was yours?
“Actually,” Jason leans forward. His legs drop from the table and spread open, elbows resting against his knees with a hunched back. “Why don’t you pick dinner tonight?”
The glass clinks against the metal of the sink as you set it inside. Jason almost always picks dinner. Most of the time he chooses burgers or Chinese. Your apartments stove isn’t working, so eating from home really just means a BLT sandwich for the both of you.
“Are you offering because you’re hoping I’ll choose that new steakhouse?” you smile.
“I’ll get you anything you want,” the man replies. “It’s on me.”
.✫*゚・゚。.★.*。・゚✫*.
Jason meets you on the roof of the building about an hour and a half later. You wanted to go with him, since you’d say his behavior is different from usual, but he was very adamant about you staying in. Jason even encouraged you to go ahead and pick your favorite movie to watch while he’s gone.
When you told him you’d decided on the steakhouse option, you meant it ironically. Between the two of you, money could be described as ‘tight’. Going to a new place like that would mean saving for a while. Furthermore, you hadn’t even given him your order before Red Hood was gone.
To his credit, looking at him now, you wouldn’t change a thing. The first bite of the food is phenomenal. The second bite is just perfect. Jason must have mind reading powers to be so aware of your taste in food- you’d thought he never noticed.
He gets a steak, as predicted. Jason loves steak.
Gotham looks most like itself at night, a view shared between the two of you. Two sets of legs dangle over the side of your building, both of which are clad in heavy boots and armored knees. Jason had decided to go out as his alter ego- a fact he thought he could keep from you by putting his hoodie under his leather jacket.
“I saw you put your helmet by the door,” you tell him. “I know what’s under that sweatshirt.”
“No you didn’t,” is all he says back.
The wind tickles the back of your neck. It ripples through the air in lazy waves, making Jason’s hair ruffle. The white skunk streak disappears and reappears between the darker-than-midnight-sky strands. Behind Jason, the moon is full and lonely. Its only company is the two of you.
“Oh my god,” you stuff your mouth. “This is so good.”
“Hm,” Jason hums in agreement, stabbing his steak once again with a fork in his black to-go box. It’s the next movement of his shoulder that catches your eye.
“Jason, is that cocaine, or powder donut dust?”
Jason glances over at you.
Your eyes linger on the white splotch of something in the wrinkles of red fabric. “Because I asked you not to eat them since there’s only two left.”
Your face slowly falls to one of horror as Jason stays still. With a face of steel, he finally says, “It’s cocaine then.”
“Then?”
“Look what I got you.”
Jason sets his box to the ledge beside him and leans down.
“Worst subject change ever.” You take an angry bite of your meal in an attempt to both silence yourself and to make you feel better. Unfortunately as you pull away from the bite, crumbs attach themselves to your chest plate and stick to your fingers. “Crap. Jason, your dumb food is getting shit all over my stuff!”
When you look over, Jason’s orbs are already on you. His eyes pierce yours, almost unintentionally daring them to look away. The skunk strands glow this close. He holds two things in his hands. The first is a small, brown pot you could balance in the palm of your hand, filled with miniature yellow and red flowers. Scarlet tulips, golden sunflowers, and blonde alstroemerias. In the other hand is a Blu-ray copy of your favorite film.
“Oh,” is all you can muster out.
When was the last time the two of you had actually exchanged gifts? You weren’t lovers, or best friends. You were just friends. It had to have been last Christmas, when you had gotten him a TV subscription for South Park and a pair of socks. Jason had gifted you a new bedframe that he later helped you put together.
A big smile reaches your eyes and makes your cheeks sore. “I haven’t been able to find this anywhere,” you say, taking the movie from his fingers. Your voice comes out pure and genuine. “Thank you.” Your smile grows even larger when you cup the pot of flowers with both hands.
“All of the flower shops were closed,” Jason explains. “Those are plastic. They won’t die anytime soon.”
At that moment, you swear you could’ve kissed him. He’s looking at you like this is all nothing, like he didn’t just drop big money on dinner and flowers for you. Jason knew what food you wanted before you did. He knew your favorite movie when you can’t even remember saying a thing about it. When had any other man or woman been so thoughtful? So romantic? So caring?
You glance down to the film in your lap. “I didn’t think you payed attention this well.”
Jason’s brow quirks upwards. Something flashes in his eyes as he adjusts his position, seven stories up from the ground. “What kind of roomie would I be if I didn’t?” he asks. Something tells you there’s a shyness blooming in that broad chest of his. Jason’s eyes flit downward to the blood on you, before his head dips back upwards to lock a stare with you once more. “You smell nice,” he states.
You look up at him simply. You know your eyes are filled with pure adoration, and that it’s showing all over your face, but you don’t care. Your red hooded, drug pedaling, bat wrangling, gun toting equal roommate is your favorite person in all of Gotham at this exact moment.
Behind Jason, a small bird flits overhead with a flash of crimson. “Hey, look,” you pat Jason’s shoulder. His eyes follow yours until they land on the floor of the roof behind you. “I think it’s a robin.”
“I know that bird,” Jason scowls. “That’s the son of the bitch that keeps waking me up in the morning.”
“Hm?”
You watch as Jason swings his legs over the side and pushes himself from the ledge. One hand reaches into the back of his pants while the other searches his leather jacket pocket for something. After a few seconds, he produces both a clip of ammo and a gun, which connect with a click.
“Ah!” you yelp, placing both the flowers and movie on the brick before copying your friends actions and standing on the roof. Jason hasn’t shot yet, but the gun in his hand is aimed right at the little birdie. He’s got a clean shot. His face remains neutral and unmoving as you take your place beside him.
It’s a full minute, and the robin is still alive and intact. He nibbles on a little crumb of bread. “He looks happy,” you think out loud. The air of Gotham goes quiet up on that roof, despite the distant sirens, music, and people throughout the city. “Are you gonna shoot?”
Jason’s finger lingers over the trigger. Even the slightest of a squeeze would set the weapon off at this point. The balls of your feet move to and froe, anticipating the bang you’re so familiar with. But then Jason lowers the gun completely, and the robin flies away at the movement. “Nah. He’ll feel the pain I dish out in the morning.”
“Don’t be sad,” you nudge Jason. “He’ll be back at six AM tomorrow to wake you up.” You turn to return to your beckoning food on the ledge. “Thanks for all this, anyway.”
“You’re welcome,” you hear Jason respond. “Hey Y/N?”
Jason watches you spin until you’re completely facing him. He can see the blood again. How it’s completely standing out against the darkness of your outfit. You look powerful, yeah. And you look like the antihero you’re labeled as. But all Jason sees is a corpse of a... of a friend. “Yeah?”
“You’re sure about this Waller thing?”
“Yeah?” you reply, as if it were obvious. The stain on you is so haunting it’s easy to think otherwise. “It’s not like I have much of a choice. It’ll only be a few weeks. I’ll be back before you know it. Then I can show you this sick ass movie.”
Then you go back to walking towards the ledge to retake your seat. But Jason remains standing. He watches as you, the person he thinks of naked so often, get comfortable, your back facing him. And, despite your word, Jason has the sinking feeling that some Suicide Squad mission isn’t the only place Amanda Waller will send you to.
This time, Amanda Waller will send you to your grave.
.✫*゚・゚。.★.*。・゚✫*.
This was supposed to be out on August 16th, for Jason’s birthday. But the concept came to me too late and I spent too long on it. Anyway, here’s some symbolism for ya.
Tulips symbolize unconditional love. Sunflowers symbolize adoration. Alstroemeria’s symbolize devotion. The reader describes the plant in their apartment as turning brown, suggesting it may share a similar fate as the reader as plants go brown when about to die. Robin’s symbolize optimism, a trait the reader displays towards the idea of returning to the Suicide Squad. Robin was also a former identity of Red Hood. Both of which could be why Jason decides to spare the bird.
I’ll go back and proof read this in the morning.

Lmao Levi being irritated because reader, his roomate, who he still hasn't confessed to yet, gets a cat.
The cat hates Levi but loves reader and reader loves the cat too and it's basically Levi vs the cat someone help
note :: very rushed and not proofread i only wrote for fun because once again i am bed ridden with sickness ha ha the perks of always being sick i suppose T__T
lord, does levi despise the way you act without thinking sometimes
he’s legitimately appalled at how you can manage to always do shit like this
even more appalled at how he lets you get away with it every time
now, what is the shit you have done this time?
brought a cat home a CAT
first things first, you are allergic to cats so he does not understand how that predicament will fix itself
secondly, cats shed EVERYWHERE
as much as he enjoys cleaning he is not going to clean that up every day
thirdly, cats will ruin furniture and claw at it
as well as the curtains!!!!
and levi loves the curtains in the living room because the both of you picked them out together
though it was a struggle to get you interested enough to pick a pair you liked.
maybe that’s why he’s looking at you irked by this all
you’re holding the kitten in your arms playing around with her
“peek... a... boo!”
playing fucking peek-a-boo with a cat? he questions himself in his head
“y/n. we are not keeping the cat.”
at this you innocently look up at him through your lashes
god, there you go again doing that
he doesn’t know if you’re aware of the impact you have on him when you do that
he’s good at holding his composure but that look ignites something in him
but he always has to push that something down his throat
“c’mon, you’d be the best roomie ever if you let me keep her!”
his eyes narrow at the word roomie
is that all he is to you?? a roomie???
you’re holding the cat up alongside your face and are fake pouting
“you. are. allergic. to. cats.” he punctuates every word clearly
“how do you know that?” you ask reasonably shocked he knows something that obscure and random about you
“you like talking about yourself when you’re drunk.”
a memory of him helping you throw up whilst he carefully holds your hair out of your face flashes past
if it were anyone else he wouldn’t have got anywhere near them if they were throwing up
but it was you,
it was always you.
“you rambled on and on and on about wanting a cat as a kid but not getting one because of your allergies.”
“so you would also know-” the cat tries to scratch your arm and you retract giggling
“that i really want a cat!”
“does that change your allergies? poof oh wow y/n you’re no longer allergic to shitty cats because you want one.”
you roll your eyes at his deadpan expression and pessimism
“if you knew anything about cats you would know this is a cornish rex” you now rebuttal
“a fucking what?”
“hypoallergenic cat breed! my allergies to cats are mild so it’s the perfect cat for me”
the crease between his eyebrow deepens.
“do you forget that we live in this apartment together?”
you scrunch your nose looking at your little buddy who has now settled in your lap “how could i forget that?”
he knows you see him as nothing more than a roommate
levi loves you he does but you don’t know that
but part of him thinks you do because you always give him that look when you want something
you’re doing it again.
the look.
“fuck. fine but if that thing coughs up a hair ball she’s out.”
“AAAHH THANK YOU I LOVE YOU LEVI!!!!” you’re ecstatic
his breath traps itself in his throat when he hears that
how can you carelessly say i love you??
you’re happily looking between him and the cat and hand her over to levi
“hold her you’re the dad”
“so you’re the...?” he asks
“i’m the...???” you’re clueless
he shakes his head waving it off
it takes you a moment to understand what he’s asking then your eyes widen
“ohhh the mum? yeah that would be me”
it’s so stupid, so stupid, so so so stupid he repeats it in his head the whole scenario is stupid
but it doesn't stop him from smiling like an idiot
in recent days you’ve given her the names diana, garfield and casper
sadly, none of then seem to stick because you’re too indecisive
it’s got to the point where you barge into levi’s room without asking
you’re in your pyjamas he looks at you confused as to why you’ve walked in with no permission at 2am
in a cucumber face mask...?
“name the cat please, name the cat i can’t stick to a name i’m going to rip my hair out“ you’re gripping at your hair groaning in frustration.
“edgar
first suggestion, too ugly.
you shake your head
“candy“
second suggestion, no, just no.
you shake your head again in refusal
“zero?“
yeah, no.
another shake of the head
levi ponders and thinks hard “...angel?’
you blush, jump back and look more than startled
fumbling with your fingers awkwardly you edge closer towards the door
he just eyes you weirdly wondering what causes that reaction
well, you must like the name
“is it good enough?” he asks
you’re speechless not knowing what to actually say
“y/n...????”
you snap out of it
“isn’t that something you’d call a significant other not a cat?”
and for once in your life you actually seem kinda annoyed at him
“your cat is an angel in your eyes that’s the point” he’s explaining his point but you aren’t listening
you don’t know why levi saying that word makes your heart race
that’s why you’re annoyed right now
in fact it’s not that you’re annoyed. you’re scared that it triggers this response because this is levi.
levi, your roommate the same roommate who argues about pizza toppings with you. he’s nothing more than that.
but your cheeks continue to flush behind the cucumber face mask
“i’ll ask someone else what to name him just call him salad for now” without letting him get a word in you leave but somehow you forget the cat
salad turns to levi and gives him what can only be described as a menacing look.
“you happy you annoying shit? y/n’s annoyed because i can’t name you”
your cat jumps at him and tries to scratch at a piece of flesh but is held off easily
one cold look from levi and she stops.
“get out my room you pest.” he says as he places the cat on the floor
salad scurries away and levi rolls his eyes
he hates that cat he really does
a few hours pass levi is still up he’s always found it hard to sleep
it’s been a long day he’s just finished a thesis for his physics degree and stretches out contently
to say he’s tired is an understatement but his throat is dry and he needs to DESPERATELY hydrate
he gets to his feet and ventures into the kitchen to retrieve some water then he’ll knock out like a log and fall asleep.
the pitch of your snoring can be heard and he smiles to himself silently.
it’s all good, he’s sure you’re getting all the sleep you need.
“GRRRE”
there it is,
the little fucker, your cat is still up.
“what is it little shit?” levi asks leaned up against the surface of the counter.
salad is only staring at him blankly before turning to look over at the living room.
it’s dim the lights are switched off but levi feels something is feels off
“the hell did you do?” he asks
but salad shows no signs of breaking and revealing what it is she’s done
levi’s going to have to investigate
stepping towards the living room he flicks the lights open.
eyes survey the entire area everything looks good until he sees the way the drapes have been ripped apart
salad is picked up in one swoop she sees how levi is about to throw her out the front door and panics
meowing and struggling just in the nick of time she jumps before running away and slipping into the safety of your bedroom
groaning levi goes back to the living room to see if he’s missed anything.
well, god damn him.
scratches litter the leather furniture, it almost looks like a crossword.
salad has also conveniently taken a shit behind the sofa,
and to top it all off she’s left a dead mouse in the middle of the living room floor
levi. is. infuriated.
“you should thank her for catching the mouse”
you’re hurriedly eating some toast levi has made for you as you brush your hair out and gather it into a low ponytail
“look at the drapes y/n??” he’s exasperated and trying to make sense of your logic
“i didn’t like the drapes anyway we needed new ones.”
you aren’t taking this seriously at all and it’s getting on his nerves now
he runs a hand through his hair and glares at you “i told you taking the cat in was a bad idea”
your hair tie snaps and so do you
all the doubts from yesterday are eating you away. the question still lingers in your mind - how do you really feel about levi?
“do you have to have an opinion on everything i do? you’re my roommate not my boyfriend.”
it’s your fault for letting your anger and stress get the better of you. to be frank you have no clue why you’ve gone and said that.
if you’re honest with yourself you know he’s not a roommate. he’s not a friend either but at the same time he’s definitely not a boyfriend.
he’s more than a friend to you but you don’t think he sees you similarly.
oh how wrong you are
“roommate?”
levi’s question is filled with not an ounce of humour, the both of you know that.
oddly, he sounds displeased,
but you can’t take it back now.
and you hate backing down
“what?” you scoff
he shakes his head and makes his way to the front door not turning to look at you.
“get a grip on that cat otherwise i’m throwing it out”
SLAM!
you’ve done it, you’ve messed it up.
salad jumps up on the counter and licks your toast
maybe, he is right about the cat.
the rest of the week is incredibly busy you have an important economics presentation due today and you’ve done everything you need to prepare for it.
at least that’s what you think,
you’re stood in front of the class introducing yourself and everything seems to be going smoothly
price determination within the economic market might as well be advertised as a sleeping pill because you don’t know how you can get anyone interested enough to keep their eyes open.
but putting your best foot forward an attempt is still made.
“the buyers and sellers accept this price, and buy and sell accordin-”
you’re abruptly cut off by your professor who coughs and then proceeds to leer at you in disgust.
a few moments of silence pass and you can feel your heart hammer in your chest.
suddenly he points at the door,
he’s known for being harsh, strict and a stingy marker but it’s not as if you’ve shown up with nothing done...?
in fact this is the largest amount of effort you’ve put into your economics course since you’ve started it.
being in your usual seasonal slump has held you back but now you’re actually trying he’s saying it’s not good enough?
“your presentation. it’s awful. not enough effort put into it, leave for today.” his voice is rumbling and intimidating.
you’re stunned, you’ve worked tirelessly day and night to finish this off.
you’ve even had to cry over not knowing or understanding how to make pie charts.
interpreting data has never been your strong suit.
too embarrassed to ask for help you had to spend hours figuring out how to make it all work alongside your excel chart and spreadsheet
sighing heavily you speak up “professor i’ve spent a lot of time on this?”
“i looked through the slides. dog shit.” his response is fiery and you shudder at the boiling frustration he’s shooting right at you.
arguing in front of the lecture hall is not what you wish to do and you’re sure you aren’t going to be the only person sent out this way.
just retreat y/n
you do.
the professor is clearly in a bad mood and taking it out on you, there’s nothing you can do about it.
wordlessly you gather your belongings and leave.
as you trudge back home the feeling of not being good enough sinks in your stomach like a heavy anchor at sea.
entering through the front door is a task and a half through your glossed over eyes but somehow you manage
you’ve kept salad in your room for most of the time after your argument and she seems to actually miss levi’s presence.
so when the first thing you see as soon as you enter is salad clawing at his bedroom door begging to be let in you aren’t surprised.
thankfully for you he’s yet to return from class and hasn’t been disturbed by the sounds.
at least that’s what you assume.
you look at salad and start sobbing
you wish you were a cat.
cats don’t get shit on for fucking up economics presentations that’s for sure.
shaking you try to hold yourself up against one of the walls
frankly, school stress is getting to you.
you tried hard on that presentation only for it to fail when it was worth a quarter of your grade.
A QUARTER...
TWENTY FIVE PERCENT...
salad nuzzles herself against your leg and you lean over to pick her up
she licks at your ear, it tickles and you laugh in between sobs
“you sure are good at comforting people huh?” you’re so worn out your laugh sounds half dead.
it’s all so pathetic. you standing in your living room wailing as you hold your pet cat like a baby.
but she doesn’t mind and let’s you cry to your hearts content.
“MEOW” salad loudly squeaks and you stroke her back but she only keeps at it “MEOWWWW.”
sensing that she’s bringing something to your attention you turn around
there stands levi awkwardly waving at you and you instinctually cover your face with your arm.
the smudged mascara is none of his business.
“wanna order pizza and talk about it?”
pursing your lips at the proposition you slowly lower your arm and scratch at the sleeve of your shirt.
"yeah, i’d love that.”
“KICKED YOU OUT THE LECTURE HALL?? YOU WORKED ON THAT FOR DAYS Y/N, DAYS??”
levi is beyond pissed he hasn’t even touched the second slice of his pizza after hearing how your presentation played out.
“it’s okay, it was probably going to go bad i can’t do anything right.”
levi’s silver eyes fog up in annoyance and you shut yourself up.
“you are the most able person i have met.”
head rocking up in surprise the confession is news to you.
“really?“
“you’re great at making pad thai, somehow you convinced me to keep that cat, i remember that other time you convinced a first year to bungee jump off a building for last years charity fundraiser.”
it truly is endearing how he doesn’t call you smart or witty or hard-working. none of that basic nonsense you’ve heard time and time again from everyone else.
the fact he’s naming the most random things makes your heart swell.
you burst into laughter remembering the first year’s quivering form and you wonder why levi even remembers that.
“if salad bothers you that much i could find a friend to look after her.”
levi looks at you like he’s just come face to face with a ghost.
“no? i like her, she might frustrate me and get in the way when i want to-” he stops himself fumbling over his sentence.
“when you want to?“ you’re leaning in closer intrigued what the rest of the sentence is.
shock flashes over his face but the next second it disappears.
taking a gulp of his water seemingly in preparation he looks you right in the eye.
“when i want to kiss you.”
and that’s all it takes for you to tug him by the shirt and slam his lips against yours, you giggle into the kiss as you situate yourself in his lap. hands ghosting over your hips he’s disoriented not sure where to place his palms but you don’t care. you’ve been waiting for this and despite his sloppy response the fact you’re finally doing what you’ve been fearing the most these past few weeks is only filling you with adrenaline.
“settle down.” he’s panting heavy and ragged. “i was meant to initiate it and look cool what the fuck??” he’s not mad, he’s just playing with you but that doesn’t stop you from getting into the role.
“and if i don’t settle?” you mischievously ask, levi’s hands are cupping your jaw he pushes your hair out of your face and simply gazes in awe.
he makes you feel so beautiful, it’s unreal.
“meow...” salad’s dissatisfied whining can be heard and then out of nowhere in one fluid motion she jumps onto levi’s chest.
“salad if you don’t mind i’m trying to make out with your dad.” you explain with a frown.
she doesn’t budge and instead a trickling sound can be heard, then a foul smell floats into the room and levi screams.
“Y/N THE LITTLE SHIT IS PEEING ON ME???”

Serenade (Daniela Dimitrescu/Reader) Pt. 8
Fandom: Resident Evil: Village Rating: T for language? Warnings: None? I think? Please let me know if I missed something Notes: Bit of fluff with some anxiety/update on primary conflict. Next chapter will be a cute date with Dani, the one after that will be maximum h*rny, and then what will likely be the finale. Music for this chapter here. PS this one is a bit on the shorter side, but I hope y'all still enjoy it. Past Chapters: Pt. 1: Nocturne, Pt. 2: Overture, Pt. 3: Accelerando, Pt. 4: Toccata, Pt. 5: Poco a Poco, Pt. 6: Elegy, Pt. 7: Harmony
Chapter 8: Obbligato
(Obbligato: An instrumental part which is essential in a piece of music)
“Okay, okay, serious this time, please? I’ll give you a kiss if you try hard enough,” you promised, grinning up at Daniela as you did. A week had passed since your talk in the library, with the two of you spending most days together, and you were progressing nicely with the musical lessons. Still, your girlfriend (you would never get tired of saying that word) was prone to getting a tad ‘distracted’. By you, usually. Not that it was intentional by any means. There was only so much you could do to keep her focused when the two of you were this close together.
“I could just kiss you anyway,” Daniela teased, leaning in with familiar intent. Right before your lips touch, however, she pulls back and smirks. “But if you insist, I can handle the challenge.” Then she’s turning back towards the piano, carefully finding the starting position. Even with her prior experience, you were impressed with how much she had already learned, and couldn’t help but be immensely proud of her. If anyone could meet Lady Dimitrescu’s expectations within a three month timeframe, it was the two of you. Except, of course, you still had to double-check just what her expectations were.
In the meantime, you were excited to hear your girlfriend play through the sheet music you had written up. Most of what you were working with had come from the family’s storage room, but you had also found some blank sheets, and figured it couldn’t hurt to create songs of your own. This particular one was relatively simple. It had been based on a song from a game you had played years ago, and only posed a moderate challenge due to its interesting rhythm. Daniela had seemed to enjoy playing it, with you even hearing her practice the song outside of your lessons, but had so far today refused to play it seriously.
Finally that was going to change. Once she found the starting notes, she nodded to herself, then started playing. For the first time today her expression is stern, focused. Seeing her like this was nice. She was always cute, you just thought that she was extra cute like this. But you tried not to let yourself get too distracted, knowing that you couldn’t give her feedback if you didn’t pay attention. In your head you “play along”, fingers miming the movements, knowing that it would help you catch any possible mistakes. Throughout the piece there are only a couple that you catch, none of them being severe enough to ruin the experience. Finishing with a little flourish, Daniela returns her gaze to you, grinning expectantly.
“Well? I seem to recall you promising me a reward,” she said, perking a brow. Laughing a little, you roll your eyes, before moving in to give her exactly what she wanted. Both of you are smiling into the kiss, enjoying every moment of it. Soon enough Daniela is running a hand through your hair, and pressing against you more, tilting her head just enough to deepen the kiss. You’re blushing hard now, thoughts going everywhere other than music. It’s not until you pull back for air that you remember what you’re supposed to be doing right now.
“As wonderful as this is… we still have a few more songs to go over,” you murmured, despite how much you wanted to keep kissing Daniela. By the way she groaned in frustration, you figured she felt the same way, more or less. “Hey, don’t fret too much. Think of this as an opportunity to earn a few more rewards,” you teased, gently patting her on the shoulder. For a moment she simply pouts, but eventually she sighs and gets ready to play another song…
------------------------------------
Rushing up the steps, practically two at a time, you desperately hoped that you wouldn’t be late. This was your third “update meeting” with Lady Dimitrescu, which by itself was enough to make you a nervous wreck. Add in the fact that this was the first time you’d be meeting alone? And in her personal study, no less? Well, it was safe to say that you were terrified. You hadn’t even been told why things were different this time. No, you were about as clueless as could be, given the circumstances.
By the time you make it your Lady’s study, you cannot tell whether your heart is racing due to stress or physical exertion. Regardless, you make it there in short time, arriving precisely at the scheduled hour. After taking a moment to settle your nerves, you briefly knock on the chamber door. There’s the sound of movement from inside before the way opens. Lady Dimitrescu has to bend a little to see out, but quickly smiles when she meets your gaze. Which was rather unexpected. The last time you had met with her she had been distanced, although still polite. Then again, Daniela had also been with you, and the focus was, as always, on her.
“Lady Dimitrescu,” you greeted, giving a short bow per customs. Then you were being waved in, brought over to a small sitting area, where you waited for permission to sit down. Once it was given, you relaxed a little. Maybe I don’t have as much reason to be nervous as I thought, you muse.
“Please, make yourself comfortable. There are no reasons for you to be unsettled, as far as I am aware,” Lady Dimitrescu said, smile disappearing for a moment at the end. But it’s back as quickly as it had vanished. Did she suspect something? Perhaps she had seen the way Daniela looked at you, or even overheard the whisperings of your roommates. Both thoughts do little other than renew your anxiety. Noticing this, Alcina frowns and shakes her head. “I was merely joking. Now, let us get to the reason for our meeting: How are Daniela’s lessons fairing? There is only so much I can glean from listening.” Glad to have something to think about other than your secret relationship with your boss’ daughter, you nodded and began explaining.
“Lady Daniela is making outstanding progress, in my opinion. Even with her occasional… lapses in attention, once she puts her mind to something, she’s quick to master it. At this point she can sight read nearly as fast and accurately as myself. However, we’re still going over vocabulary, as well as keys and their corresponding chords,” you answered, barely able to maintain eye contact with your employer. Thankfully, she seems to have accepted the inevitability of your nervousness. You were especially thankful now that you prepared to ask her a question. “My Lady, may I inquire about what specifically you expect from my teachings? If there are certain genres you wish for Daniela to be familiar with, or techniques-... I must admit I am unsure as to how to best meet your requirements.”
Slowly reclining in her chair, Alcina appears to ponder your question. In the meantime she sips at her beverage, holding the cup as if it were a fragile heirloom (which it could very well be), eyes looking into the middle distance. Then she gives a soft hum, setting her cup down and returning her attention to you.
“I suppose I can understand your concern. In some ways you have already exceeded my expectations,” she said, expression oddly plain in comparison to her positive phrasing. “My daughter has rarely invested herself in anything as much as she has in your lessons. For this, I am left wondering what she finds so captivating- the music, or the one who pulls the strings?... But that is not the answer to your inquiry, is it?” In that moment, you are incredibly still, willing yourself to keep a straight face, despite the racing of your heart. At your silence, Alcina perks a brow, expecting you to respond. You can’t, your mouth suddenly dry. “What I expect is a passion to educate, a drive to see my daughter flourish. I expect you to teach her exactly as much as she wants you to, focusing on whatever brings her the most joy. But I expect professionalism. Your duties come first, above your health, happiness, and all other desires. Am I understood?”
“Yes, my Lady. Of course, my Lady,” you replied, stuttering, eyes wide. Did she know? Or merely suspect?... There’s another thought, one you try desperately not to voice, only to hear the words fill the room before you can stop yourself. “May I ask where Lady Daniela’s desires fit into this?” Silence hangs heavy over the room for several seconds. Your employer has narrowed her eyes, lips curled downwards into a sharp scowl, watching you with thinly-veiled anger. All you can do is gulp and wait for her response. When it comes, you are surprised by the stability of her tone. It was almost as if she respected your gall.
“She is young still, with the mind of a lovesick maiden. Daniela does not know what she wants, not really, nor does she understand what she needs. If her… flirtatious nature begins to interrupt your instruction, then your response must be swift, and uninterested. Regardless of how unkindly she takes your rejection, I will ensure that she does not harm you,” Lady Dimitrescu said, giving a stern nod at the end. Though her tone was reassuring, you hardly felt better, considering you were far past the point of turning Daniela down (if anything, you had only turned her on). “Now, with that settled, I believe I should let you return to your duties. Oh, and do tell Cynthia that the tea she brewed was perfect, should you happen to see her.”
Then she looked away, practically ignoring your continued existence. So you rose to your feet, gave another bow, and left before your panic could devolve into a breakdown. Daniela is not going to be happy about this.

JACOB BLACK CURSED FATE
Word count: 2512
Summary: In an attempt to fix their relationship, everything falls apart
Warnings: angst, hurt/no comfort, emotional cheating, jealousy, unhealthy relationship
note: Thank you @tyb1 for giving me an amazing idea to experiment with. This was also loosely inspired by this imagine by @imaginingmanyfandoms (with their permission!) Please check both of them out!
You swatted away the lingering fly, which had been testing your patience the whole day, from the freshly set table. You didn’t want anything ruining your mood that day and if you had the same accuracy your boyfriend had when it came to killing flies, it would’ve been smashed against one of your counters the second you had seen it flying around. Losing the buzzing creature from your sight, you stepped away from your kitchen table to take in the view. Perfect, you thought with a satisfied smile, quietly praising yourself.
After months of barely seeing your boyfriend and living with each other like you were roommates, you found it was time to find that spark you once felt by having his favorite meal and desert. You wanted to create a comfortable scenery to discuss your concerns with Jacob and was more than positive about the outcome. He was always willing to listen and work on himself together with you when it came to problems you were having.
With a lighthearted sigh you grabbed your phone from the edge of the table. Your notification centre showed a few unimportant emails waiting to be deleted from your inbox, instead of the text you were waiting for. You looked at the time above the notifications. 7:23 pm. He wasn’t supposed to be home for a while and him not responding to your texts probably meant patrolling just took longer. You pushed down that icky feeling at the pit of your stomach and decided to dress up with the time you still had. You didn’t want to wear anything over the top in your own kitchen, but something cute enough for Jacob to see you were trying to look nice for him.
Taking your time to take a shower, do your hair and put together an outfit you were pleased with, you were expecting Jacob to walk into your home at any given moment then, but even when you returned to the kitchen there was still no sign of him. This time you looked up at the analog clock hanging from one of your kitchen walls. 8:41 pm.
With a forced smile you tried to contain the excitement you had been feeling the whole day as you got a pack of lucifers to light the candle in the middle of the table. Once the candle held onto the flame, you looked over your shoulder at the food on the stove while you waved with the lucifer in your hand, before it had the chance to burn all the way down to your fingers. You wanted Jacob to come home to a prepared plate but the moment you heard the fly buzzing around your living room you stopped yourself. You weren’t in the mood to keep that thing away from the food so you were just going to wait until he got home.
You sat down at the kitchen table, grabbing your phone once again. Maybe he responded. Lightly tapping your screen, your notification centre popped up, but there still was no text. Out of curiosity you checked your messages, going into your conversation with Jacob.
‘You still going to be home by 8:30?’
You sighed looking at the delivered stamp underneath your text, but decided to give him more time. He was barely ten minutes late and it wasn’t unusual with the recent supernatural activity in the area so you just had to keep your excitement at bay a little longer.
Time ticked by slowly, ten minutes turning into thirty, half an hour turning into an hour as you impatiently bounced on your legs, soft thumbs filling the silent kitchen. You were leaning against the kitchen counter, looking down at the game on your phone to kill time, but with each passing second your worries were starting to grow excessively.
When the clock hit 10:30 pm you decided to call him, the phone icon next to his caller id waiting to be pressed by your hovering thumb. But before you could put your phone up to your ear, your call went straight to his voicemail. Your heart jumped, your sudden rising heartbeat ringing in your ears from worry.
His phone has never been turned off before. Why is his phone turned off?
You exhaled audibly, automatically going to your contacts to find Quil’s number while you nibbled on your thumbnail. If your memory didn’t do you wrong, you were almost certain they were patrolling together. He would know where Jacob was. Again, you tapped on the phone icon as your hand rested against your neck, feeling your rapid heartbeat.
You looked up at the ceiling, briefly closing your eyes as you forced yourself to stay calm. In and out, you told yourself, inhaling and exhaling deeply to keep yourself from having gruesome intrusive thoughts of things that could’ve gone wrong while you impatiently waited for your boyfriend’s best friend to pick up his phone.
“Hey, (Y/N). What’s up?” Quil’s neutral voice sent you into relaxation, your eyes shooting open and bending your head back down to its original state. His calm tone was enough to let you know nothing happened on their patrol.
“Hey, Quil.” Your voice was slightly shaken up from the brief panic, but hoping he wouldn’t notice you tried to make it less obvious. “I’m looking for Jake, is he with you?”
“Not anymore.” He answered. “Lin called him earlier. I’m guessing something happened, because Jake left right after, but he didn’t say what though.”
Lin. Of course he was with Lin.
The itch you were trying to keep down suddenly became uncontrollable. The anger, resentment and hurt you thought you had pushed down months ago bubbled up without a warning, making you bite your tongue to keep your composure towards Quil. As far as you knew he didn’t know about the arguments and fights she had caused in your relationship, how many times you threatened to leave Jacob because of her presence and how many nights you had banned Jacob from your bedroom so you could silently cry into your pillow, knowing he was listening to the pathetic muffled sobs from the couch in the living room.
“(Y/N)?” A different voice called out from the living room as you heard the click of the closing front door. “I’m home.”
“Thanks, Quil.” You said, snapping out of your silent rage, remembering your boyfriend’s best friend was at the other side of the line. “He actually just came home.”
“Anytime.” Quil responded unknowing of what he had just caused, before you exchanged goodbyes with him and hung up the phone. You slowly placed it back down on the table and shook your head in disbelief, pushing yourself away from the kitchen counter to meet Jacob in the living room.
“Hey, what did you make?” Your clueless boyfriend commented, briefly turning his head over his shoulder to watch you stand in the kitchen’s doorway, his back turned to you as he put his jacket away. “It smells good.”
“Where were you, Jacob?” Your voice was icingly calm as you ignored his question, his name feeling foreign in your mouth. It was always Jake, not Jacob so using his full name for the first time in months made sure he knew how badly he had fucked up. You knew where he had been and that simple question was enough to let him know there was no use in lying.
It was like he freezed up for a split second before he turned to face you, looking like a deer caught in headlights. You didn’t know why you were even giving him the room to answer, there was no way he could talk himself out of this. His mouth was agape, his lips moving slightly but there were no words coming out.
“Spit it out. Where were you?” You repeated, your voice slightly raising this time.
“Babe, I can explain--”
“Explain?” You interrupted him as a humourless chuckle fell from your lips. You softly pinched the skin between your eyebrows, your eyes fluttering closed. Your patience was thin, your head full of different voices telling you what to do in your rage, but you weren’t sure what voice to give in to. “Explain what? That you basically ditched me to be with Lin when I explicitly told you I wanted to have one night, just one night, to have your undivided attention.”
“I know I messed up, but you know I wouldn’t do it without a well enough reason.” Jake sounded distraught and without looking up you could tell he was panicking. “Just hear me out, okay?”
You pulled your hand away from your face, opening your eyes to look at the man who was suddenly standing much closer than he was before in an attempt to close the space between you. If he came any closer you were sure you would’ve backed away, but he knew better than to try to touch you when you were livid. It was a mistake he made before, but surely wouldn’t do again.
“She needed someone to talk to.” He started off, making you scoff. It was something you heard a dozen times before. “This is the first time she has been without her daughter for this long and it’s just hard on her.”
“It still surprises me you don’t see what she’s doing. She has enough friends to call. She’s using you, Jacob. Using you.” You narrowed your eyes in disbelief and used your hands to emphasize your point. “She only has to breathe differently and you’re there, she just likes the attention you’re giving her, because no one else will.”
“I don’t think she’s using me.” Jacob disagreed with a sigh. “But I also know you wouldn’t get me giving into it. As much I know you hate it, I have to be there for her, (Y/N). We’ve talked about the imprinting, it’s not a choice.”
Was he seriously defending what she was doing?
“And we’ve also talked about boundaries.” You snarled back at him. “You can be there for her without ignoring our relationship. You promised me we would come first no matter who your imprint was going to be.”
He nodded in agreement. “And we still come first, but like I said I also have to be there for her when she needs me. She might not be my top priority, but I can’t ignore Lin’s needs either, that’s just the bond.”
“Just the bond.” You repeated with a chuckle, your eyes prickling with tears as the sudden realization seeped in.
Nothing was more important to him than that damned forced bond and the longer you listened to him the clearer it became. You hoped it wouldn’t come to this, but looking back you couldn’t believe how stupid you were for believing the words of a man who hadn’t experienced something so intense before. ‘I don’t care who she is, you’re the one for me’ was what he said when you finally communicated your worries weeks after he had imprinted on her. You wished you had listened to the insecurity lingering at the back of your head when you had seen the relationships between Sam and Emily, Jared and Kim and every other pack member who had ended up with their imprint.
Why would I be naïve enough to think it would be any different for Jacob when he finally imprinted on someone?
“Baby, don’t cry.” He finally tried to narrow the space between your bodies to comfort you, but as you snapped out of your thoughts you flinched away from him. His comfort was the last thing you wanted.
Just then his words registered and you noticed the tears staining your cheeks. You quickly wiped them away with the back of your hand. “You don’t even see you’re in love with her, do you?” You looked up at his pained expression. You might don’t like being touched when you were mad, but you had never backed away from him when you were crying before.
“I’m not, I swear.” He answered hurriedly.
“You’re lying to yourself.” You shook your head, wiping your nose with your hand. “You dropped everything to be there for her when I needed you here. Again.”
Without waiting for a response, you were headed to your shared bedroom, Jacob’s footsteps closely behind you. You wanted to get away from him as far as possible, there was no way you were staying in the same house together. You didn’t feel like suffocating on your own again.
“Baby, (Y/N).” Jacob called out to you, hopelessly following you as you marched into your shared bedroom, diving straight into your closet to grab a suitcase. “What are you doing?”
You placed it on the bed, zipping it open as the tears falling from your eyes blurred your sight. When you turned back to your closet to grab a bunch of clothes, not even thinking of all the things you actually needed if you were going to stay away for a while, Jacob finally managed to get his hands on you. He held your wrists, not tight enough to hurt you, but with just enough force to keep you from moving. “Hey, don’t go, okay? Please. I want to fix this.”
“How? It’s not a choice, remember?” You avoided his gaze, looking down at the floor. Your body was trembling from the anxiety and all the mixed emotions coming out were making you sick to your stomach. You truly felt like throwing up. “How did you even want to start a family with me if I can’t even be your first choice, hm? I’m not putting my child through that.”
“(Y/N), don’t tell me. . .” Jacob’s eyes widened. When you told him you wanted to talk this morning he could tell you were excited, but he brushed it off like the idiot he was. All the signs were there and when it fell silent for a moment, he finally understood why tonight was so important to you.
“I’m pregnant.” You felt your arms slipping from his grip as you looked up at his blank expression. You pulled your hands away to dry the tears dripping from your face. “And I wanted to do things differently for our baby than our parents did, I wanted them to grow up with both of us there.”
“And they will.” His glinstering eyes and watery smile stared at you as he brought his hands up to your cheeks, softly caressing the sides of your face with his thumbs and placing his forehead against yours. You let him. “Just let me fix this. I’ll do anything for you-- both of you.”
As much as you wanted to believe what he said, you knew it was only a matter of time before he went running to Lin when she needed him again. He could treat you badly all he wanted, but you refused to let your child grow up feeling unwanted the way you did.
“No.” You whispered back to him, pulling your face away from his grip. “I’m done.”

You are in a hurry as you are leaving your apartment, throwing your bag over your shoulder with a wild swing before you grab your latte off the counter. You’d taken the time to go down to the cafe downstairs this morning, and you are now slightly regretting it because you didn’t factor in enough time to get ready and get off to class.
You fling open the door, fumble with your keys before finding the right one to lock the door. You whirl around to power walk down the hall when you are met with a solid wall of human.
“Oh fuck!” you exclaim as the warm liquid from your cup splashes into your face and down your blouse.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry!” you hear a deep voice say.
You aren’t looking up at the figure because you’re just staring down at your now soiled blouse. You didn’t factor in enough time to get a latte, let alone to change your entire outfit. You sigh heavily.
“Shit, shit. I’m sorry,” the voice says again.
You look up, mostly angry at yourself. “Just watch where you’re going,” you snap.
“Oh...yeah...okay.”
There’s a defiance in his voice, like he knows as well as you do that it was no less than half your fault, if not more so. You take in the figure in front of you, and your jaw immediately drops. It’s no wonder that it felt like you were walking into a wall. He stands at about six feet tall, his shirt straining over his pectoral muscles and his biceps. His honey skin is nearly flawless, and his eyes seem like they could look directly into your mind and see your thoughts.
“I’m sorry,” you sigh. “I’m just in a hurry.”
You pick up your keys off the floor and unlock your door. As you are slipping into it, you hear, “I was Namjoon” from behind you.
You change quickly into a clean t-shirt and run out the door. Once you sneak into the back of the lecture and plop down into a seat, you have a moment to reflect on the interaction you had with the man in the hallway. You feel the embarrassment starting to fill you again.
You hadn’t ever seen that man around the apartment building before, and you weren’t sure if he was just visiting or if he lived there. You hoped he was just visiting since you spilled coffee on him then snapped at him like it was his fault. You finally force yourself to focus on the lecture, but your mind keeps wandering to his perfect skin and the faint appearance of the dimples in his cheeks. You shake your head and start to write notes about the chemical compounds that the professor has put on the board. You curse yourself slightly for taking the Introductory course this far into your studies, but you needed a lab science to graduate.
After your classes are over for the day, you hurry home, the heels of your booties clacking on the sidewalk with each step. You secretly love the sound because it makes you feel powerful. You know that soon the biting wind will start to swirl around, knocking the leaves from the trees. Currently though, the sun is shining, illuminating the reds and yellows with spots of green still in the branches.
Back in the lobby of your building, you see your next door neighbor, Jimin, at the mailboxes, struggling to get his key out of the keyhole in the small metal door. He grunts slightly. You’ve always thought that Jimin was painfully attractive, like a fairy or an angel that you didn’t have permission to look at. It almost hurt your eyes. You decide to grab your mail and talk to him.
“Hey Jimin, do you need help?” you ask, as you faking casualness and sliding your key into the lock.
He sighs and turns, and upon seeing your face, he smiles. “Oh hi, yn! No...I think I can get it.”
You giggle at the small grunt that comes out of his chest. You slide the envelopes out of your box and lock it back up. Jimin continues to struggle, and you decide that you can’t just leave him like that, with the key stuck in the lock.
“May I?” you ask
He steps aside and sighs. You close the box because he’d been fighting with it while the door was open. You wiggle the key slightly, then you hear the click of the tumblr. The door locks, and you can’t help but smile. You slide the key out with a gentle jiggle. You hand it over to Jimin with the smile still spread across your face.
“Of course,” he sighs again. “I had a new key made because I gave my new roommate the original, and the new key is just sticking so badly.”
“New roommate?”
“Oh yeah! You should come meet him sometime!”
The two of you walk to your apartment after making dinner plans for the following day. Jimin insists that you don’t have to bring anything but yourself, but you know that you’re going to bring a bottle of wine with you. You’d never arrive empty-handed to a dinner party.
The following evening, you knock on Jimin’s door just after 6:00. The beautiful man opens the door, and he looks so happy that you’re there. You can’t help but smile when you’re around Jimin because his cheeriness is contagious. He throws his arms around you, and the two of you have a slightly lingering hug. You inhale deeply, smelling his cologne, then realize what you’re doing and quickly release him.
“yn, this is my new roommate, Namjoon,” Jimin says, stepping aside.
Upon hearing the name, you feel a lightheadedness come upon you. Your brain replies the “I was Namjoon” that you heard yesterday as you’d disappeared into your apartment. You try to keep your composure as you walk over to shake his hand.
“Oh! Hi, it’s you!” he exclaims as he takes your hand. “Hi, I’m Namjoon.”
You stare for a moment before your mouth catches up. “yn,” you blurt out, “is me.”
He laughs slightly, and you want to slap your forehead from the incredible awkwardness that is pouring out of you in this moment. Usually you carry yourself with confidence, trying not to let too many people see how awkward and dorky you actually are. But something about Namjoon just makes it impossible to hide.
Jimin had ordered dinner for the three of you, saying that neither him nor Namjoon are very good cooks. It makes you laugh because you would have been fine cooking for the three of you, but Jimin had insisted on providing dinner. You eat the pasta while the three of you chat and laugh. Once you loosen up a bit, you’re a little less awkward with Namjoon. You realize that you’re leaning closer to Namjoon and try to correct, but it just keeps happening.
A few times you think to yourself “is he flirting with me?” but you decide that he’s just a friendly, charismatic guy.
After dinner, you feel happy, full, but also light from the wine. You hug Jimin goodbye, and, when you turn to Namjoon, he’s holding his arms out to invite you in. You embrace him too. It feels right and comfortable. It’s much different being intentionally pressed against his firm chest than when you ran into it the day before. It feels like you fit perfectly in his embrace. Finally, you pull away, heat burning in your cheeks.
That night in the shower, you can’t keep the image of him out of your head. He held you in intellectual conversation about life and philosophy while also looking like a god. You wonder if Jimin is part of a club for unearthly hot men where he met his roommate.
You lie in bed, trying to keep your hands from exploring your skin to the image of him pressed against you. Finally, you give in and let your brain wander, feeling the heat wash over you. Your skin feels delicate and sensitive as you imagine the muscular figure on top of you, touching every inch of you. The pressure within you releases to the image of his face. Afterward, you feel a little embarrassed and tell yourself that you can’t do that again. He’s your nextdoor neighbor for goodness sake.
The next few weeks fly by with classes being in full swing, requiring most of your time to complete the work. You feel like you spend all of your time either in class or on your computer doing homework. You hardly even have time to get groceries, just living off of take out and the odds and ends in your fridge.
The leaves fall from the trees, and the air becomes crisp and sharp. You love this time of year because it means that Halloween and Christmas. For Halloween, you go to a party with some friends, and you see Namjoon and Jimin there with more of their unreal-looking friends. He’s dressed as a detective, with the trench coat and everything. You try to keep your mind from picturing what’s underneath the tight fitting white button up that he’s wearing with a skinny black tie.
Your friends catch you staring at him and tease you relentlessly for the rest of the night. You try to keep your back to him, so you don’t get caught looking again.
One night in November, you are lying in bed scrolling on your phone when you keep hearing what sounds like tapping at your. You check, but you don’t see anything. As soon as you climb back into bed, it starts again. You try not to think about it, but it keeps getting to you. Everytime you look, it stops. Then you go back to bed and it starts again. It gets into your head enough, that you start to panic slightly. You figure that you can go ask Jimin to just come hang out with you for a little while or something until you feel more comfortable. He’s done it before, and you know he’d do it again.
When you knock on the door, Namjoon pulls it open. He smiles at you immediately when he sees you. He looks as gorgeous as ever, with his glasses settled halfway down his nose and his hair swept back off of his forehead.
“Hi, yn!” he exclaims, and you are surprised by the enthusiasm.
“Hi, Namjoon. Is, uh, is Jimin here?” you ask, looking behind him into the apartment.
“No, he’s out tonight. A date. What’s up?”
“Oh. Okay. Nevermind.” You feel your shoulders fall slightly as you turn to walk away.
“Wait, yn, what’s up? You seem upset.”
“There’s just this sound I keep hearing. Sometimes Jimin will come sit in my apartment with me when I’m scared, since I live alone.” You shrug and try to turn away again.
“Well...I can come hang out with you. I’m just working on some stuff on my computer,” he says, an ingenuous quality to his voice that makes you feel comforted just upon hearing it.
“Oh! Well, yeah. If you wouldn’t mind just hanging out with me, that would be great.”
He agrees, disappearing for a moment into his room, then reappearing with a backpack slung over one shoulder. “Lead the way.”
You lead him into your apartment that is dimly lit with string lights in the living room. You realize that this is the first time that he’s probably ever seen the inside of your place. You tend to feel vulnerable when you let people into your home, so you don’t invite too many people that aren’t your close friends over.
You like to keep the lighting in your place soft, so you mostly use lamps and string lights. Your bedroom is a pink, pastel haven that people think is funny because you tend to dress in neutral colors, especially in the winter. You don’t think that Namjoon will be able to see your bedroom at any point. It’s not like you’re going to be inviting him in. But you still can’t help but think about the dirty clothes strewn across the floor.
You gesture for him to take any spot he wants on the couch, and he plops down.
“I like it in here. It’s so soft,” he says, turning to you with his dimples showing.
“Oh, thanks. I’m just kinda of a soft person, I guess.”
Your breath catches in your chest slightly, but you can’t help the smile that spreads across your lips when you hear it. You are just a big softy, but you don’t always show it. It feels nice to let Namjoon in a little bit.
You take your spot on the couch next to him, leaving some space between the two of you. You grab your phone and start scrolling again. He pulls his computer from his backpack, and the gentle tapping of his keyboard feels like music. You jump when you hear the tap outside again. You turn and look at Namjoon. He places his hand on top of yours, so you know that your eyes must give away how terrified that you are.
“Let me go check,” he says.
He gets up from the couch and goes to the living room window. You hear him hmmm-ing to himself as he looks out there, then you hear a sound of understanding.
“I think I found our culprit!” he announces to you and waves you over.
You cross the room to the window and lean out next to Namjoon. He has the flashlight of his phone shining down on a small bird’s nest attached precariously to the side of the building. There is a bird inside that was probably just tapping on the wall just below your bedroom window. You sigh in relief then start to laugh. You retreat back into your apartment, and Namjoon stands up fully next to you. You can feel the heat from his body with how close you’re standing.
He pulls the window shut and laughs with you. “See, nothing to worry about except a bird who didn’t get the memo to migrate.”
The two of you don’t move, just giggling and standing near each other. You look up at his face, and you realize how much his smile makes your heart sing. You feel a twinge between your legs and try to ignore it. Namjoon looks down at you, and soon he isn’t laughing anymore. The two of you just stand there staring at each other for a few moments, until he slides his hand around your neck, pulling you toward him. His plush lips find yours, and you wrap both of your arms around his neck, pull yourself even closer. Your chest presses against his.
Your mouths move together, then he slips his tongue past your lips, exploring your mouth gingerly. You gasp at the bolt of arousal that shoots through your body. He pulls back from you, his eyes searching your face.
“Crap. I’m sorry, yn. That was impulsive. You’re just so gorgeous when you laugh,” he says, eyes cast just behind you, not making eye contact.
“You have nothing to apologize for,” you whisper as you move upward to his lips again.
The hesitation in his mouth dissipates, and he wraps his hands around your waste, gently rubbing the fabric of your shirt with his thumbs. You press yourself against him, letting your fingers lace into his hair, tugging at it slightly. You push your tongue into his mouth this time, and your tongues dance together, exploring.
He slides his hand up inside your shirt, the soft skin of his palms exploring your back and sides. You moan slightly as your hair stands up on end from the contact. You pull a couple of soft pulls on his hair again, and he presses his groin against you. You can feel the bulge through his pants, and you can’t help the arousal that is now coursing through your body.
You pull away from him and ask hesitantly, “Would you want to...uh...go to the bedroom?”
He presses a soft kiss to your lips and nods. You lead him by the hand into your dimly lit bedroom, kick aside your discarded outfit from earlier. The two of you make your way to the bed. You push him down onto his back, and you straddle his hips. Your lips start to explore each other again, and you press your core against the hardness in his sweatpants. He grabs your shirt and tugs it over your head, so you do the same to him, eager to see what the bare muscles of his chest look like. You are not disappointed at the taut skin that covers the bulges on his chest and arms. You admire it for a moment before you return to kissing.
Things move quickly from there. All of your clothes are off, exploring how each part of your naked skin feels against his. and you feel like you don’t care if it’s too much too fast. He’s so attractive, he’s hard, and he’s kissing you. That’s all you could ask for. You lean over to the drawer in your bedside table and pull out a condom.
You hold it up and ask, “Do you want to?”
Once again, he smiles at you and nods.
You slide down between his legs, holding the tip of the condom and rolling it down to the shaft. You look up at him and smile a sly little grin before you lean over him and spit on his hard cock. You rub the spit in, making the whole thing slick, then repeat the same motion. He throws his head back as you stroke his cock. You do this a few more times before you crawl back up on top of him, positioning your entrance above his erection.
You slide down slowly, letting yourself take the time to adjust. Once you’re accustomed to the sensation and the stretch, you start to roll your hips, sliding up and down his length. You moan as his cock hits the most sensitive places inside you. You ride him until you can feel his cock twitching inside you.
“yn, I’m gonna…” he starts, his hands reaching up and grabbing your hips firmly.
His hips buck up against you, and you feel his cock twitch as he holds you down on his cock. You roll your hips in a small circle once he lets go, watching his abs tighten and relax as you do it. He falls back, panting slightly, and you giggle. You dismount from him. As he starts to soften, he slips the condom off and ties it.
“Where should I…?” he asks.
You take it from him and put it in the trash can. You smile and snuggle into his chest.
“yn, next time, I promise to make you cum a bunch before I do since I didn’t get you there this time,” he says as his thumb rubs gentle little patterns on your cheek.
“Oh, so there will be a next time?” you ask, grinning up at him.
“I certainly hope so,” he says nervously. “I really like you, and that was a lot of fun.”
“It was, wasn’t it?” you say as you wrap your legs around his, getting comfortably snuggled in against his naked frame.
“So much,” he whispers as his lips press against your forehead.

❥- It has been a proven fact that Yeosang is the second strongest in the group, yet he doesn’t feel as though. He doesn’t have abs like Seonghwa or San and his muscle doesn’t look as swollen as Jongho’s. No matter how many times you reassured him that he looks good as he is, he just can’t believe it. He wants to do better, be better and most importantly feel better about himself. The thing is, he doesn’t know how to actually ask any of the members to come with him. He would go by himself but he doesn’t want to and he doesn’t really know how to start.
For the past days, he has been moping and frowning around the house when you came to visit. He knows that you’re worried for him, but he just can’t help it. He wants to feel more manlier.
Seonghwa being the person he is, he knew there was something wrong with Yeosang and he decided he was going to find out. He went to Yeosang’s house to see what was really up with him.
Yeosang was eating some fries when he heard the doorbell. He got up and opened the door to see Seonghwa standing outside. “Can I talk to you?” He asked and Yeosang nodded. Stepping in, taking his shoes off, and getting comfortable in the house, he dropped the question on him. “what’s been going on with you?” The grey haired man asked. This was his chance. Yeosang’s chance to explain to him what his problem was and ask him for the help he needed. “You can tell me, Yeosang.” He reassured.
Yeosang decided now or never. “Well...Uhm..what if i told you i want to go working out with you?” He says fastly, almost too fast, Seonghwa almost didn’t hear him.
Seonghwa blinked for a second trying to process what he said. “O-oh? Yeah of course, Yeosang. If you want, i’m going in the morning and i can start you off there?” He seemed excited? Yeosang smiled and nodded. “That’ll be great.”
Fucking finally, that boulder that was on his shoulder was off and he feels like he can breathe now.
Remember how he said he can breathe now? He lied. He completely lied.
He went to the gym with Seonghwa the next morning and he tried to literally murder him. obliterate him. Did he use that word right? He doesn’t even know, but he does know that Seonghwa was trying to kill him. He expected this shit from Jongho, not Seonghwa. Seonghwa had poor Yeosang lifting weights, doing squats, running the treadmill, and had the audacity to ask him to do the dance to ”Dazzling light” with him. His whole body is on fire and all he wanted to do was sit in a cold shower and call you to cry about his limbs that were literally burning.
❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥
His struggles has been going on for at least 6 months now and honestly, he’s proud he hasn’t gave up yet. Turns out Jongho is actually way worse than Seonghwa and he’s just glad he got to get used to the feeling before Jongho decided to join them. He has definitely noticed some changes to his body. Not only has his arms gotten a little bigger, he definitely can see his 11 line in his belly.
Yeosang continues to look at his tummy in the mirror because wow, it looks really defined. He looks good, he looks fantastic, out of this word. He wonders how you’ll react when you see it. At that thought, he traced his lines on his stomach, letting his mind go loose. He just knows you’re going to like it
He hasn't talked to you in a while for at least 6 weeks and he’s been kind of...horny. He misses you very much, don’t get it twisted, but his mind is currently hazy and he’s just desperate right now. His legs moved just as fast as his mind, taking him to the bed.
He lays down, letting his hand rub on his half hard length, just like you do, His lip tucked between his teeth, a habit that is. He let his mind drift once again, thinking about what you’ll do when you found out he was touching himself. He felt so naughty doing this without permission and that thought alone riles him up more.
He palms at his crotch that is very noticeable at this moment, letting out small, pathetic whines. It’s like he can almost feel the way your walls are squeezing around him, your moans in his ear when he hits the right spots.
He whimpered even again, freeing his cock from the sweatpants. He can feel the way his cock jumped when he released it.
He looked down at his cock with a sigh.
Was he really about to disobey your words and get himself off at the mere thought of you fucking your self on him? Of course he was.
He gripped his cock with his hands, jolting when he squeezed it like you would. He let his eyes close and pumped his cock slowly , just like you would instruct him. “fuck- want to cum” He squeezed his eyes, pumping faster. He wants to release, no, he needs to release or he’s sure he’s going to pop. He thumbs at the slit as his other rub at his nipple. His breath hitched when he pinched his pierced nipple under the shirt. You told him to get them because they would make his nipples more sensitive and you were right. He squeezed his tip and wailed. “Please- ahh-“ He cried out to no one, thrusting his hips up into his hand, fucking into his hand as fast as he can.
He switched nipples, moving on the left nipple. He bit his lip harder, body tensing when he felt his balls tightened. “wanna cum- M’ gonna cum, mommy~” The blonde moans louder, practically screaming as his cum shoots up, some landing on his 11 line and some on his thigh. He let out a breath of relief and moved to clean himself up.
❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥Sorry another one❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥
Workouts have been getting harder but he definitely is seeing his 6 pack, so it’s worth the hard work. He’s been getting more confident than ever and he just feels powerful.
Has he called you? Yes he did. Has he told you about the event he did 7 weeks ago? Also yes. You haven’t really said anything about it though, just that he deserves it and he probably looked pretty. He smiled when you told him that, still suspicious, because you never let him get away with touching himself. ever.
He hasn’t told you about him working out yet, just that he’s going out with Seonghwa. He wants to wait until you finally get him out of his clothes or vice versa. He couldn’t wait until you finally get to see how hard he worked, how much effort he put into this.
He’s been feeling a bit powerful lately. His mouth has been running all day since he came over to your house with your roommate. Luckily, your roommate isn't here and he took that as a chance to talk shit to rile you up.
“Baby” Yeosang called out to you and you turned and looked at him. “I bet you can dom you.” You squinted your eyes at him and scoffed. “As if” Was your response. Even if you were in denial of the thought, you wouldn’t have minded him topping you.
“I can, baby. I’ll leave you shaking when I’m done” His voice darker, clearly laced with lust. You pinched at your thigh, the thought getting to you, almost.
“Cute. I see you grow muscles and can’t act.” You crossed your legs, chuckling when you saw his eyes grow wide like a puppy. “Thought I didn’t notice, baby?” You smirked at him and crossed your arms as well. Seeing that he wasn’t going to respond, you decided to keep going. “I will keep the dom thing in mind just to see how well you’ll do. Got to say, I am impressed that you thought because you got stronger that you can dom me.” You uncrossed your arms.
Yeosang didn’t know exactly how to feel in this situation. Embarrassed? turned-on? Flustered? He doesn’t know, but what he does know is that you’re fucking sexy like this.
He wants to speak, but he can't. If he opened his mouth, he’ll be a stuttering mess and that is not what he wants..right now.
“Come here, kitten” You curved your index finger in a ‘come here’ motion and he scattered over there, sitting between your legs with both his hands on his thighs. “What a good boy you are, baby.” You pat his head twice, smiling when he beamed at your touch.
“Mommy, are you going to touch kitten?” He bat his eyelashes at you and you growled lightly.
“Upstairs and you better be fucking bare when i get there.” you licked your lips thinking of a good idea “matter of a fact, leave your boxers on, kitten.”Once he ran upstairs, you sipped your water with your legs crossed.
Giving him about another 20 seconds, spending it on telling your roommate not to come back for a while, you ran upstairs to see him lying on the bed, tip of his cock peeking out of his underwear, his cheeks were flushed red and oh? oh, fuck.. where the fuck did abs come from?. You felt yourself soaking your panties from the scene. “Kitten, shit-where’d the abs come from?” You had to close your eyes to keep from pounding on him.
“D-do you not like it?” His voice wavered
You opened your eyes, staring the poor man down like you would jump on him any minute. “i fucking love it, baby. One day i swear i’ll ride your abs” You softly chuckled when he laughed. “You don’t know how fucking hard it is to keep myself composed right now and you have my favorite jewelry color in your pretty nipples.” It was fun to see him squirm and lose control on his own body.
“Y-yes. They’re my favorite ones too” He was a mess. He just wants to be a good boy for you and do as you please like a good kitten. “p-please..do something.” He whined, biting his bottom lip.
“I will, kitten.” you strut over there, swaying your hips slightly towards him. Once you were in front of him, you turned around and bent over, slowly taking your shorts off with your panties right behind. You turned back around and sat on his hard on, directly on his hard on. The moan he let out was fucking delicious and you wanted more from him. “I got something for you, kitten” You smirked, rolling your hips in a circular motion, moaning when you felt his cock jump.
You got up, ignoring the boy’s whines and complaints, and went towards the desk getting a purple box. You gave him the box and he opened it, gasping once he saw what was inside. “put it on for mommy.” Your voice left no questions and he had none to ask anyway. He pulled the black and yellow cat ears on, placing them gently on his head.
You stepped back to get a good look at him. “You look so fuckable right now it is not even funny.” You shook your head and walked towards him again, his eyes piercing through your body. You got back on top of him, continuing your ministrations from earlier, loving the way he moaned out for you.
“Mommy, Kitten’s so hard right now. Kitten wants you now” He wailed and you ignored him, bending down to slowly kiss his nipples, your tongue peeking out licking his sensitive nipples. His back arched off the bed letting out a soft noise, hands in your hair. You lifted up to look at him with an arched eyebrow.
“Do tell who gave you permission to touch mommy?” You pinned his hand above his head, but moaned when he pushed up against you. “o-oh~”
You sat up and went between his legs. “I see you like that, kitten” You bit your index finger nail.
“i-i-h-h” He shakily sighed when he felt your tongue graze over his defined abs. “Mhm” His voice was sweet like honey. You continued to trace your tongue over his abs, sucking little hickeys on them. “More, please” He sounded so desperate and to say it was turning you on would be an understatement.
“Just because you’re begging me nicely, kitten” You licked his tip that was sticking out while pulling his briefs down completely. “You’re so fucking hard, kitten” You got the lube from under the bed. “Is it all for me, hm?”
Yeosang felt like he was about to cry right now. He can’t take this teasing any longer. It's too much, he just wants to release. “M-mommy, please do something. Kitten wants momm-uhh-“ He was about to beg again but felt your lips wrap around his cock. “s-so good, mommy” He couldn’t help the way his hips jumped, Your mouth was so warm around his cock. Just what he needed. He whine and felt tears prickle at the side of his eye when you pushed his hips down from moving. “Mommy- Your mouth feels so fuckimg good around me” He panted out still trying to move his hips.
You lifted up when you felt him violently twitch around you, making him cry from the loss of his orgasm. “stop crying, kitten, don’t you want to be inside of mommy?” You could tease him more, make him cry more, but his puppy eyes are making you soft. He nodded and you got up to get a condom. Once you got it, you rolled it on his cocky, squeezing his tip lightly.
You grabbed the vanilla scent lube and put some in your hand, rubbing it on his dick. “I’m going to give you what you deserve, kitten.” You lined yourself up before slowly dropping down on his cock.
The moment he was all the way inside, you began bouncing. You were already wet but the lube only made you ride him faster. Your hands are scratching his abs. His abs are a new addiction added to your collection and you’re not complaining. “Does my pussy feel good around your cock, kitten? Am i giving you what you begged me for” You moaned and bounced faster on his cock.
“Y-yes mommy~ You’re so tight around my cock.” You were bouncing so fast, his headband fell over his eyes.
You were scratching his stomach, leaving red marks over your hickeys. “Cum when you feel, baby.” You threw your head back with a long drawn out moan. You felt yourself getting closer as time grew. “You look so fucking perfect like this. I want to ruin you some more, kitten.” Your hands went back to fiddling with his nipples, groaning when he let out a hard gasp, hands flying to your waist. You grabbed his hands again, putting them back above his head, holding him down.
His eyes rolled back and he came inside the condom with you following along with a moan of his name. You rode him until you heard him whimper from overstimulation.
You got off of him, throwing the dirty sheets away. “Are you okay, baby?” You went to go lay back on top of him. He nodded and held you.
“Can we clean up when we wake up, please?” He gave you puppy eyes and you were sold. “We’re taking a long shower in the morning.” She nodded along and kissed your sweaty temple.
“Yeah, you definitely gotta dominate me now” you laughed when he gasped and cuddled deeper into his chest.

follow my lead - schulott boarding school au
wrote this during ilotts gt stint so,, maybe i am in brainrot
can you tell that these are all inspired by wicked
anyway here is content
context : how did this start? boarding school shenanigans
--
Mick is staring at his Physics homework, watching the arrows on his paper when someone knocks on his door. He turns to the door, and then back to his paper.
Tension problems or literally anything else?
He pushes his paper into his desk, walking up to his door. "Hel-"
"Schumacher." It's Callum.
It's Callum?
He takes in the British man, whose eyes are bright and sparkling, his hair messy, his shirt dark and wet and what is happening, he thinks, as Callum pulls him out into the quiet hallway. "Wh-"
"I have an idea, but you have to listen to me, okay?" Is he pleading? Lost for any words, Mick nods. The grip on his shoulders loosen and before Mick can ask if Callum's okay, the brunette starts talking.
"Look, you have your dad, and I have my scholarship, and it sucks, what people say, right?" He looks into Mick's blue eyes, and he sees the green in his companion's eyes, and he has to shake himself, to pay attention and nod in response. Callum takes it as permission, continues talking. "Okay, so let's give them something to talk about then. Something we can control. Something we can change." His eyes are determined and for some reason, Mick would do almost anything if those eyes were on him, he moves back a little, but wait-
"What do you want us to-"
"Date me."
The hallway is deafeningly silent. The hall suddenly feels devoid of air. He thinks of how close they are, Callum's hands on his shoulder like a lifeline, his face mere inches away from Mick's, the Brit functionally pressing him against a wall.
"Look, I think it could work, okay, and we can both run for Senior's King and you can fulfill a legacy and I can use that to get a good school after this place, and we don't have to do much, we just use what they say for us and it can work, trust me." He's rambling, but Mick, for some dumb idiotic reason, is listening and he's thinking.
There could definitely be worse ideas, he thinks.
But, would it really be better, than just doing this year right? No lies, just everything back to normal?
A door opens.
The two turn to the sound.
"Callum?" It's Marcus Armstrong, Callum's roommate.
Footsteps on the wooden hall echo down the hallway. Some rustling, and light shines down the hallway. They make eye contact.
In these three seconds, Mick's lightning quick reflexes do their work. Thoughts spin around in his head.
Would this be beneficial?
Would this help him win Senior's King?
Would this kill his soul?
But then Callum does this thing, where he uses his eyes, entrancing and pleading and his smile, hesitant and promising and he puts them together.
Callum tightens his grip on his shoulders. This can end up in flames, Mick thinks. This can end horribly.
And like an out of body experience, Mick nods.
And in one second, Mick's entire year is laid out for him.
The flashlight shines on them, and Callum's lips are on his.
Mick belatedly realises this is his first kiss, and he notes the slightly chapped lips, that taste like candy and soda. The hand on his neck and the faint smell of Red Bull.
And he sinks into it.
It's his first kiss and he is taking it.
"Callum!" The two break apart, to Marcus Armstrong's jaw hanging open.
Mick feels hot in his face, but Callum, other than a slight pink high on his cheeks, looks normal. He looks to his roommate, back to Mick and winks. Winks.
"Can't let him go to bed without a kiss, can I? Be a bad boyfriend then."
How is he so smooth with this?
"Good night, Mick." He grins.
Mick still feels out of it, a shy little "Good night." crawling out of his mouth.
The two retreat to their room, Marcus pestering Callum.
Once Mick closes his door, he slides down the door.
This, he decides, will be a year.

Tik Tok - Rafe Cameron
Description: Rafe Cameron falls for a girl he often sees in a cafe and is too nervous to talk to her, so his best friend, Topper, decides to take matters into his own hands and makes a tik tok asking if anyone can identify Rafe’s crush. Of course, she sees it and confronts him.
P.S. pretend covid doesnt exist in this LOL
---------
“Bro, just do it.”
“No.”
“Rafe, c’mon man. When did you become such a pussy?”
“Shut the hell up man, I’m not.”
“Then ask her out!”
“No!”
It was your typical Wednesday afternoon-- the college cafe was bustling with students coming in and out from classes and from students mingling with their friends.
Rafe and Topper sat in the midst of all the chaos, ignoring their econ homework to stare at Rafe Cameron’s current obsession.
“How is this girl different from any other you’ve liked? Just man up and ask for her number or something.”
Rafe Cameron.
Notorious player on campus. And douchebag. He was the type to sleep with a girl and kick her out of his room at 3 in the morning. He never had strong feelings for a girl, which is why Topper was baffled at the fact he kept staring at the dark haired, brown eyed plain Jane in the corner of the coffee shop.
“Look, she’s just a pretty girl. And she just looks... shy I guess.” Rafe lamely said. He didn’t know why he wasn’t just barging up to her like he normally did at parties. Of course, those girls were clawing to get to him. He didn’t have to work as hard.
Topper sighed loudly. “Fine, fine. If you’re gonna force my hand.”
Rafe raised a brow as Topper slowly pulled his phone from his pocket.
He then began to film the girl and zooming in on her face.
“Top, what are you--”
“Ssssh.”
After 30, long, agonizing seconds for Rafe Cameron, his best friend finally stopped filming the poor girl.
“Does anyone know this girl? This loser wants to ask her out...” He spoke as he typed.
“No wait--”
“Done. Just posted on tik tok.”
Rafe’s jaw dropped.
“What?”
“Now, we wait.”
-------
You had a long day of classes and all you wanted to do was fall in your bed.
But no, as a history major, you had to read 250 pages (the entire book needed to be read by the end of the week, but you were spacing), write detailed notes on them, and then start on your essay that is due next week.
You always liked to get ahead of schedule so that your work wouldn’t pile up.
After sitting in the cafe for an hour, you had to go home to cook dinner. You hated eating at cafes since bread just wasn’t your thing.
Once you hit your dorm room, you checked your phone that seemed to have hundreds of notifications.
"The fuck?” You whispered out loud. As an RA, you could say whatever you wanted to in your room, but you still felt weird swearing in front of others. Which is why you whispered the words to yourself.
You dropped your bag at the door and quickly opened your phone.
GIRL, CHECK TIK TOK
Congrats, you’re famous! don’t forget me lol
rafe cameron ?? honeyyy get itttttt
Confusion. That’s all you felt. You quickly clicked on the link on of your friends sent you.
You watched the video set in as Topper, the owner of the account, zoomed in on your face at the cafe you were just in. You didn’t think you looked pretty as your hair was a mess and you hadn’t showered in a couple of days.
Not to mention you were wearing jeans and a baggy t-shirt-- the normal college attire.
As you read the caption, you felt your heart race at an abnormal rate.
The words became blurry fairly quickly as your stress started to build up. You set your phone down on the counter to avoid dropping it-- you were rational enough to do that.
You kept getting texts from your closest friends saying two words: Call me. But at this point, you couldn’t even think straight. What was a hot, popular guy like Rafe Cameron doing pining over you? And apparently being too afraid to ask you out?
Honestly, you had never been hit on in your first two years of college and you didn’t think it was going to start with Rafe Cameron, the richest guy at the school. And every straight college girl’s wet dream.
You heard your phone buzz on the counter and you checked caller ID. It was your best friend.
You took a deep breath and answered it.
“Hey, you didn’t tell me you were dating Rafe Cameron.” She joked.
“Shut up! Tell me what to do!!” You screamed.
“Ok, ok, I can tell you’re freaking out and nervous, but this is a good thing! A happy thing! A guy liked you so much that he put a video--”
“His best friend posted the video--”
“As I was saying, put a video out about YOU! This is your chance to finally have the romance you’ve always dreamed of, right? You’re always pining after those book boyfriends or whatever who AREN’T REAL.”
She emphasized the last part which made you cringe. Your obsession with fictional characters was justified-- if she read, she would know.
“Dude, this is Rafe. Rafe fucking Cameron.” She gasped at your swearing, a joke both of you had because you’ve known each other since you were children.
“Exactly, it’s Rafe motherfucking Cameron, meaning, you HAVE to go after him.”
“No, you’re wrong! He’s Rafe Cameron! If he was really into me, he would’ve asked me out already. Literally no one can say no to him nor does anyone want to.” You bit your lip, thinking of ways to get out of this. “You know what? I bet this is a prank or something.”
“A prank?”
“Yeah, like Topper trying to embarrass Rafe by making an ugly girl ask him out--”
“First of all, don’t talk about yourself like that. And second, no, tik tok is not the place to embarrass girls. They would get roasted so hard. And third, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE.”
Contrary to your best friend, you never seriously wanted a relationship. You were the type to fantasize about falling in love and hyped up all of your friends when they had crushes, but you never truly found someone you wanted to get to know or wanted to date.
It just seemed so outlandish to you.
Plus, you wrote off college boys when one followed all of your roommates on instagram besides you. That kinda knocked your ego down.
“Look, I’m just going to ignore this. I don’t think it’s going to be the love story you think so I’m gonna go.”
“Wait, y/n--”
You hung up before she could finish.
You just couldn’t deal with her hopeless romanticism right now.
You sighed and tied your hair into a messy bun. How could you finish your homework now?
--------
“I don’t think she saw it.”
Topper laughed at his nervous looking friend.
“Dude, she definitely saw it. It has thousands of likes the last time I checked and I’m pretty sure people were tagging her in the comments.”
Rafe fixed his hat so it covered his face. He definitely didn’t want his friend to notice it turning beet red.
“I hate you dude.”
“No you don’t.”
Once again, the two rich boys were sitting in the same cafe they were in yesterday. They had been sitting in there for two hours now, and there was no sign of the mysterious girl who did or did not know she was tik tok famous.
“I don’t think she’s coming.” Rafe commented. On one hand, he was relieved he wouldn’t have to talk to her. But on the bigger hand, he desperately wanted to see her again. He didn’t know why he was so captivated by her brightly dyed hair or the 10 pins stuck on her backpack. She seemed so normal, yet she stuck out with all the book stickers she had on her laptop. Rafe would never tell a living soul that he liked reading YA romance novels but he felt like he could confide in this mysterious girl.
“I don’t know. It’s still early.” Topper noted.
“Um, excuse me?”
The two boys’ heads shot up at the dainty voice.
You were wearing black ripped jeans with a white top; it was the most simple outfit Rafe had seen you in as you usually dressed in bright colors. He would never admit it, but he even noticed when you changed your nail polish.
What Rafe didn’t know was that your best friends held an intervention last night and told you to dress “more to his style” which included simple attire. Yet, you couldn’t fully immerse in the role and wore your favorite bucket hat that was covered in white daisies.
“Hey,” Rafe said lamely.
Topper immediately gathered his stuff and left you two alone. What a homie.
At Rafe’s bland answer, you smiled politely.
“Can I sit?” You asked. Rafe nodded and gestured towards the seat. He didn’t know why he was acting so weird, but you were just so much prettier up close.
He could see the bright red earrings you wore that matched your Nikes and noticed your clumsily applied makeup (which he knew because his sister was so good at it). It only made his heart race even faster.
“Um, so I saw the video... I’m sure you know which one I’m talking about.”
The boy blushed.
“Yeah?” He tried to act suave and calm, but his nerves were all over the place. He felt a bit calmer seeing the girl start to play with her hair: a nervous trait his sister said most girls had.
“Um, well, I... I was wondering...” The girl trailed off, her face turning a darker red. He almost felt bad for her, but she was so darn cute and wanted her to continue.
“Look, I’m really bad at this... and I know you’re good at it, so...”
The boy’s ego inflated slightly.
“So?”
This wasn’t going the way you wanted it to go. You felt frustrated that you couldn’t even get the words out that you practiced. Your eyes prickled with tears from embarrassment; you wanted to get out of the situation as soon as possible. You didn’t know what you were thinking approaching the hottest guy in campus and expect not to be tongue tied.
And his lack of words made you think he was just messing with you.
You felt a gentle hand on top of yours which burst your drama bubble. You looked up and saw Rafe’s bright blue eyes full of concern, and... something else.
Dammit, he probably thinks I’m a weirdo.
“Hey, it’s ok. Honestly, it was my friend, the one who left earlier, it was his idea to put the video up and he did it without my permission. If it were up to me, it would’ve taken a lot longer to pluck up the courage to approach you...” He confessed.
This shocked you. Rafe Cameron... tongue tied around you??
“Look, let’s start over. I’m Rafe Cameron, junior, business major, and fun fact: I’m on the hockey team.” You knew all of those details, but you let him give a formal introduction. You thought it was cute that he felt the need to explain all of this to you because there wasn’t anyone at your campus who didn’t know who he was.
You held out your hand.
“Y/N, a sophomore and a history major. Fun fact: I’m an RA.” His eyes brightened at your response and shook your hand with a smile.
He had to practice his stern handshake with businessmen his father forced him to meet, but your hands were gentle and soft, like they were afraid of hurting him. It’s been a while since someone has treated him so delicately. He liked it.
“Well, y/n, it’s a good thing I don’t live in the dorms because I definitely would’ve tried to act up to get your attention.” He teased.
You laughed at the response because you knew a couple of the young freshmen who made a ruckus in the lounges so that you had to come in and yell at them.
You shrugged. “I don’t know, we could’ve met sooner if you were.”
The flirty words flowed from you naturally and you wanted to take them back as soon as they left your mouth.
But they made Rafe Cameron blush, so you let it go.
Suddenly, his watch buzzed and he swore under his breath.
“Shit, I’m so sorry, I have a business meeting to get to. Can I get your number for uhhh... for future purposes?”
His slight fumble of words made you grin.
“Of course.”
I guess tik tok is good for something.

It started when Virgil was ten. His moms had always made sure that there was a small spot in the corner of the room that never got used, a blanket he’d had since he was a baby being the only thing allowed in that corner. He’d been told that, one day, an object would appear on the blanket that hadn’t been in his room before and it would be from his soulmate. So, he waited anxiously for that day.
When the day came, he was told he was allowed to put one thing on the blanket and a new thing would be there in the morning. As his birthday was in a week, he’d thought it was something like a birthday Santa and put a favorite teddy bear there. When he woke the next morning, a book was in place of the bear.
As he grew older, the items became ones with meaning: his first pair of dance shoes that he’d grown out of, a drawing he’d done of the first album he’d bought with his own money, a picture of the first trophy he’d won for his dancing.
The gifts from his soulmate also became ones with more meaning. He got copies of books ranging from fairy tales to in depth analysis on things like the Titanic and Ancient Egypt. He got copies of certificates and pictures of prize ribbons attached to science projects.
When he first got his acceptance letter, Virgil put a picture of it in the ‘soulmate corner’ as he’d called it for a while. On a whim, he attached a sticky note that said, “I got in!”
The next year, the soulmate corner was set up in his dorm room. His mother had already told him that the corner would transfer to one in his dorm room so he was ready when the next gift came. This was a black teddy bear with a sticky note attached. It was then that Virgil realized the sticky notes counted as part of the single object. They both started filling the sticky notes with as much as possible.
His third semester, his roommate had a revelation. Remus sat bolt upright from where he’d been hanging over the side of the bed. “You could send your phone number!” His voice was louder than it usually was, his hand in the air as if he were asking for permission to speak.
Virgil just chuckled from his sprawled position on his own bed. “Isn’t that against the rules? You’re not supposed to give out your address or anything like that. Natural meeting and what not.”
Remus groaned, turning to look at him. “Natural smatural, just give them the number already.”
Virgil paused in his scrolling, taking the time to think about it. “I guess as long as we don’t make plans to meet, it’s still a natural meeting.”
Remus nodded, grabbing a sticky note from his mess of a desk to scribble his number down. Virgil frowned. “I thought your corner wouldn’t activate for another week or so?”
Remus shrugged. “It’s never too early to plan on what I’m gonna give him.”
So, the next time Virgil’s corner activated, he sent a geology book he’d picked up for his soulmate with a sticky note with his number on it. A few hours later, he was curled up with a purple teddy bear and texting his soulmate for the first time.
They talked late into the night, neither wanting the conversation to end. It seemed to flow seamlessly from topic to topic, going from siblings and roommates to favorites of anything. Virgil wanted to know everything about Logan, his soulmate, and it seemed he returned the sentiment.
A few years later, the texting had progressed to calling. That was a constant in their lives. Virgil would call Logan while making dinner, talking about their days and how they went. Logan would call Virgil at a reasonable time, lulling him to sleep with his voice.
This is how he recognized him almost as soon as he spoke. Virgil had been working as a barista at the time, his shift just starting. “Virgil, get out there!” Remy hissed at him, tossing his apron at him and hitting him in the face with it.
Virgil just nodded and made his way out. The morning was always a slow shift so he tapped his foot to the rhythm of the music the speakers were playing. He had to give it to Remy, the man had a good taste in music.
The door jingled as a customer walked in, Virgil’s attention straying from the music to the person walking toward him. Virgil smiled at the customer. “Welcome to Dark Roast, what can I get started for you today?”
The man scanned the menu before his brow furrowed, eyes dropping back down to Virgil. “Virgil?”
His voice was just like the one that laughed with Virgil over office antics, the one that commiserated with him when he complained about customers, the one he fell asleep to. He smiled. “Hi, Logan. I didn't expect to meet you here of all places but I’m glad I did.”
Logan’s smile was soft. “I’m glad to meet you too.”
After a minute of awkward staring, Virgil coughed into his fist. “You should probably order now.”
Logan looked startled. “Right! Uh, I’ll take a large mocha.”
Virgil nodded, ringing that up and passing the order off to Remy. With no other customers around, he let himself relax slightly. “So, what brought you to my little corner of the world?”
Logan laughed. “Well, my usual one was closed today.”
Virgil hummed. “Is there any way to convince you to switch to this one permanently?”
Logan smiled, leaning forward slightly. “It depends on how good the coffee is.”
Virgil nodded just as Remy passed him the coffee. “I guess you can tell me later. I’m not certain you have the time to stick around and tell me now.”
Logan looked down at his watch, noticing the time. He leaned forward more, grabbing the coffee and leaving a kiss on Virgil’s cheek on his way out. Virgil stood stunned for a second before Remy’s voice came from the back. “Look alive, sweet cheeks, someone’s in love!” Virgil shushed him and went about bussing tables.
Logan came back later that day, his pace brisk and his face lit with a smile so infectious Virgil couldn’t help but smile back at him. “Looks like someone had a good day.”
Logan nodded. “I met my soulmate, I got the deal I wanted, and I had the best cup of coffee in my life this morning. Everything seems to be doing great!”
Virgil giggled. “Well, my shift should be over in a half hour if you wanna wait around? We could grab a bite to eat afterwards if you want?”
Logan nodded and moved to sit at a table in the corner. Soon enough, they were out the door, hand in hand on their way to get sandwiches from the sub place down the street. Not much of their lives changed except that they were dating and Logan would come often for coffee and chats.

Ask Me Again - oneshot
⚤︎ badboy!felix and fem!reader
✔︎ fluff, hints of angst, semi suggestive

monnie's @ "To Your Heart"
hello! this is our first book of The Pasta Chronicles! i'm so glad @monscastle was able to collab with me; also shoutout to monnie for the lovely banner~ ♡
“Go out with me.”
Lee Felix, the campus bad boy, asked you out. Again. It was a weekly occurrence: him asking you; you saying no as politely as possible.
He never stuttered his words. Not the first time and certainly not today. “Go out with me, y/n. Please.”
It sounded like a plea for you. But his voice never wavered. It kept you in reality that he was a player, and you were an ideal student. Not the best but better than him.
“Felix, I’m sorry. I can’t. Not with exams coming up,” you replied with a soft smile while stepping past the boy. You were lucky to find a real enough excuse. He dug his heels into the cement path and followed you-- an action you couldn’t fail to notice.
“Gosh, he’s a real stickler, huh?” Your roommate, Lea, quietly reminded you.
“After exams, y/n.” Felix sped up to stand in front of you, stopping your pace altogether. “I’ll wait ‘til exams are over.” He leaned forward and pecked the sweetest, gentlest kiss on your temple. He smirked at your blushed reaction before skipping back to his crowd.
“Well, I guess he won’t bother you for a bit.” Lea started walking again.
You bit your lip, mind still focused on how warm, how sweet, his lips felt on your skin. It made your heartbeat quicken; the thought of his lips on yours sent a nice, tingly flow throughout your body.
“Y/n.”
‘H-huh?” Lea snapped you out of your daydream.
“He won’t bother you for a bit.” She hooked her arm with yours and happily continued to your next lecture. “Now, you can put 110% into your grades.”
“I’m glad,” you faked a smile. Lea endlessly went on about her thesis book. Her words served as white noise to you though.
Honestly, you liked Felix. There was no doubt about it. He was courteous towards his professors. It was rare for him to turn in an assignment, but he was studious in class and never interrupted the professors or classmates.
He was kind and respectful, despite his liaisons with countless ladies on campus. When they came and begged to date him, he was thoughtful with his words. He never said no, but he never said yes. A handful of guys would ask him out as well, but Felix stuck to his words. He had a rule. No getting together, no relationships. No romance. Just a quick fuck. And everyone knew this. “Having strings ties you down. And I don’t see myself tied with you,” he had said, in the lightest way possible.
You haven’t slept with him, yet you knew he held a fragile piece of your heart. He was your fantasy. A dream. Nothing more. But it never hurts to dream.
Your mind stopped wandering when Lea opened the lecture hall door. As you entered, you were met with hateful glares from the students.
“Y/n. Lea. I saved you a seat.” Jackson’s deep voice startled you. Lea shuffled the pair of you through the isle and to the row Jackson was sitting in.
“Gosh, what the heck was that for? Is there something on my face, y/n?” Lea worried.
“No, Lea. You look beautiful as ever.”
She beamed back at you.
“Look.” Jackson held up his phone, allowing Lea and you to watch an Instagram story. It was you. Specifically, Felix kissing your temple.
Lea sighed. Someone had filmed the “intimate” moment you had with Felix. You read the words at the bottom of the post: ‘Another whore for Lix?’
You deserved this. It was karma coming to get you for the thoughts you had of the boy. You mindlessly reached your fingertips to where he kissed your skin. Why was he even attracted to you? Were you a dare? A dare for him to get in your pants? You had your dignity, but you thought this boy was melting it away piece by piece.
You returned to your shared rental with Lea after class ended. At the apartment desk, the security guard stopped you. “Miss Y/n. A boy left this parcel for you.” He grumbled and handed you the gift.
You thanked him kindly and proceeded up the stairs.
“Open it.” Lea crossed her arms and demanded after removing her shoes and coat.
You walked to the kitchen and cut the package with a pair of scissors. You dug into it and found a bag of homemade cake pops.
“I’ll take one thank youuu,” Lea joked while tearing the plastic bag of goodies from your hands. You giggled, a way of granting her permission as you watched her slump on the couch. You stepped to discard the package when a note card fell to the ground reading: ‘I’m sorry, y/n. If I had known they were filming us, I would have kissed you on those rosebud lips of yours to let everyone know you’re mine.’
You released a voiceless whimper. Felix was surely playing you, but he made you feel special and desired none the less.
You quickly picked up the note and hid it in your back pocket.
It's been almost two weeks since Felix last asked you out. You had seen him around campus and longingly stared at him in hopes he would look at you. The few times your eyes caught his, Felix blushed and turned away. Now that he was respecting your boundaries, you didn’t want him to ignore you.
The sneers and occasional trash talks you received since the video of Felix’s delicate kiss to your head didn’t get under your skin. The few times they would, you couldn’t think much of them; you had more important matters to ponder about. You chewed on the painful distance between you and Felix habitually.
Studying wasn’t worth it. Your mind always trailed back to him. You wondered how he was. You hoped he was fairing better than you with his studies. You couldn’t help but miss his tranquil presence. Even if he was desperate for you, Felix had a calming aura that aroused you in the most loving way.
Aside from studying, you couldn’t get much sleep at night. Felix was awaking you every time you tried to clear your mind. He had engulfed and overpowered you into a longing for him.
You sat down in your class with a huff.
“Someone’s grumpy,” Jackson teased playfully.
Upon seeing your lifeless form, Lea hummed. “I think it’s ‘cause she slept in.”
You folded your arms on the desk and threw your head down. “I’m not going to do well on this,” you muttered.
Jackson and Lea exchanged looks. “Y/n, you studied-”
“Not really,” you admit to them. “My mind’s been… elsewhere.”
“Wha- why?” Jackson asked. “Is it Felix? You said he was leaving you alone, right? He’s not bothering you is he? I swear I’ll punch that hopeless romantic in the gut if you fail your exams.”
“Please don’t.” Your friends recognized the pitch in your voice; you were crying now.
Lea leaned towards the table and softly spoke. “Y/n, what happened?”
“I- I don’t know.” You shot up from hiding your face in your arms. Your puffy eyes were no stranger to the classmates around you as it was finals season. Lots of tears had fallen from multiple peers in the past week. Thankfully, they paid no mind to your tear-stained face and brushed it off as the stress that came with final exams.
“He’s doing things to my heart, and I can’t explain how hopeful I am that he’s not toying with me.” You reached for your pencil case and pulled out the letter Felix had written a few weeks earlier.
“Oh.” Lea’s reaction mirrored Jackson, whose mouth circled like an ‘o.’ They already suspected your feelings for him long before you had received the note.
“So, do I beat him to a pulp or…” Jackson joked, hoping to make you smile. But his efforts only resulted in his ribs getting elbow jabbed by Lea.
“I don’t know what to do.” Your voice was pulsing with desperate hope from your friends.
“Tell him ‘yes.’ Y/n, next time he asks you, and I’m sure there will be a next time, say ‘yes.’” Lea soothed your anxious mind with the natural honey in her tone. “The only thing you have to lose is your chance with your dream guy.” She winked and turned her gaze to the podium where the professor was introducing the exam.
Her words echoed in your mind. What did you have to lose other than Felix? Your dignity? No. If Felix is the right guy for you, he would strengthen your worth rather than hinder it. As you opened your laptop to the class page, you crossed your fingers, wishing Felix would ask you just once more.
Two days have passed since your last exam. Lea scored higher than you on your overall average. It made sense, and you easily accepted it. You spent hours of mindlessly studying the textbook while Lea actually studied. The two of you, along with Jackson, celebrated the success of your roommate with drinks.
“So,” Jackson began after the clink of your shots. “Has he asked you out yet?”
“No,” you frowned.
“Hey! I thought tonight was about me!” Lea laughed, trying to lift the mood so thick, you could cut it with the wimpy, plastic knives from your college cafeteria.
Jackson had only downed a shot or two; thus, he still was fully aware of his surroundings. So when he saw Felix stride through the local campus bar, he pinched Lea’s shoulder.
“Yah! What do you nee-” Jackson shushed her and guided her face towards Felix’s figure. They turned their attention back to the dim-lit table and met your curious gaze.
Jackson winked. “Don’t worry, y/n. He’ll come for you.” Both he and Lea stood up and walked to the bar for another round of drinks.
You stood up with your brow furrowed, but before you could follow them, you spotted Felix. He looked stunning in his ripped, leather pants and neatly combed hair. The green neon lights above fell on his sculpted face in the most angelic way. You admired him for a while until he moved to dance with a girl. 'With that skin tight dress of hers, how could he fight the urge to grind on her thin hips?' You thought, wishing you had worn something more than a long sleeved crop top and black jeans. Your gaze fell to the floor; you wore your ballet flats. They weren’t the most attractive, but at least they didn’t blister your feet.
You sighed and went after your friends. It had been 2 minutes at most, but you found Lea shamelessly twerking on a peer from her bio class and saw Jackson, long past sober, swiveling on a bar stool and mindlessly ranting to the man next to him about asparagus. The sex driven Lea and rhetorical thinker Jackson had made way out of hibernation. They were drunk.
You hustled to pay for your drinks and exited the crowd. It was cold outside, and you fell victim to the chill in your thin shirt. You didn’t want to flag down a taxi or call an Uber; at this time of night, riding alone with a stranger was not a pill you could swallow. Leaning against the building, you pulled open your contacts. Maybe your landlord would give you a ride home? Before your finger hit the call button, Felix called your name.
Waiting for exams to pass without hearing your voice or seeing your tender eyes up close was absolute hell for Felix. On occasion, he caught you looking at him. But as quickly as he saw you, you bashfully turned away. He kept his word and left you to your studies. Felix knew you cared about your education, and he was the last person who wanted to be in your way. So, he backed off at your excuse of exams.
After the last week of tests, final averages were posted near admissions. Felix eagerly raced to see how well you did. He knew by allowing you the space you needed to ace exams would easily grant you a high grade. But your name wasn’t in the top 100 list. He checked it once, twice, thrice before turning to the longer list of all student results.
Felix’s eyes were glued on the page; he memorized each printed name as he glossed over them looking for yours. When he found it, his head fell from his defeated shoulders. You didn’t do well. In fact, you did better last semester when he had bugged you to go out with him.
Something was wrong, yet he couldn’t understand.
Until he realized, you must’ve been tormented by his flock of admirers. He came to the conclusion that he would permanently give you space; the last thing he wanted was to bring pain to the girl he truly likes.
Felix tried avoiding you by taking different routes to class. If he did see you, he felt guilty and wished there was a way to protect you from the world.
He couldn’t keep you from gracefully invading his mind. Jisung, another playboy at campus, suggested “getting drunk or having sex with another bitch to remove that chick” from his mind. Felix’s nostrils flared when Jisung referred to you as a “chick” when you deserved much more than such a lowlife name. He nearly immobilized Jisung had his friends not stepped in and prevented Felix from further harming the boy.
Directly after throwing punches to his friend, he felt horrible. Felix sprinted away from his peer; it was ironic how he found himself in the campus bar. He downed no more than three shots. He didn’t want to forget you. Yet, his carnal instincts kicked in when Belle approached him.
She wore a mahogany, sheath dress that did wonders for his dry spell. Felix hadn’t been sleeping with anyone since he promised to ask you out after exams. He believed he needed to be faithful and better in order to make you his.
As she began to shake her rear against him, he placed his hands on Belle’s hips. 'Too skinny,' he thought. He would’ve preferred you.
It was like a higher being heard his plea because he saw you seated with your friends. The dim lighting made you look like a fever dream. He longed for you to be his. When he turned back to catch a look at you again, you were gone.
“E-excuse me,” Felix removed Belle’s body from his, but she clung to him like velcro.
She flicked her false lashes at him and grinned. “My place or yours?”
“I need to go.” He pushed her off a little more aggressively than he should and left without another word.
He found you outside, leaning against the club. Alone.
“Y/n!”
A wave of heat flashed through your body when your name fell from his tongue. You eagerly turned to him. Felix ran the short distance between you before urgently pressing his lips on yours.
The kiss was patient, yet you both could sense a deeper passion. Felix pulled your cold body against his and tightened his arms around your waist. Your fingers ruffled the bit of hair that touched the nape of his neck. He pulled his lips away; you quickly whined in protest, but Felix didn’t let you go.
He burrowed his face into your shoulder. You leaned to kiss his head, and he began whispering soft words against your skin causing you to shiver, this time, not from the cold temperature.
“Felix,” you whispered. “I- I can’t understand you.” You giggled breathlessly at him when his face moved back to yours.
“I’m sorry.”
“Why? Felix, are you ok?”
“I- fuck. I love you, y/n. And I’m aware that we hardly know each other, but please. I want to learn every precious detail about you. Tell me your favorite way to pass the time on a rainy day. Tell me who taught you how to braid because gosh, when your hair is braided to the side, you make me want to rip out any gawking eyes that look at you. In fact, I won’t hesitate-”
“Felix.” Your voice was quiet. It was his first time hearing you so vulnerable, and it made him want to kiss every part of you. You deserved to be showered with kisses on a daily basis. But he traced his fingertips along the sleeves of your crop top and passionately listened to you.
“Ask me again.”
He smiled and raised a brow, puzzled. “Ask you what?”
You stared at him and fought the urge to kiss the small dimples on his face. You hadn’t noticed them before.
“Will you go out with me, Felix?”
“Fuck. No.” He cursed under his breath. His eyes turned to you when he felt you crumble in his hold. “Wait, shit. No, that’s not what I meant.”
You stepped back with tears brimming your radiant eyes, and it made Felix want to pull you back against him and never, never let you go.
“I wanted to ask you out!”
“You’re mad at me for asking you out!?”
“Yes!”
“Lee Felix, will you ask me out?”
“Y/n, please go out with me!?”
“Goodness yes.” You breathlessly whispered with no hesitation in your voice. He wasted not a second more before pulling you into his arms again. You tightly gripped his shirt; a few tears fell from your lashes. Felix felt them and released you from his embrace. He raised his hands and carefully wiped away every tear. He saw your lip quiver and observed how cold you were.
“Let me drive you home,” he quavered. Felix’s hand was warm in yours; his pinky tangled with yours as he led you to his car.
He knew where your place was. There weren’t many words spoken on the way to your apartment. Both of you were embarrassed and unsure about what to do next.
As he pulled to the building, he shifted to park and turned to you. “I want to take you out tomorrow.”
“I’d like that,” your voice was sunny. You inched closer to him and kissed his lips once more. It was quick, but it was everything you needed to know he was yours. “Good night, Felix.” You stepped out of the car and trudged to the apartment gate.
“Y/n!” Felix stood on the drivers side and yelled. “I need your number!”
You stopped punching the code for the gate to open. “Pick me up here tomorrow at six, and I’ll give it to you!” You playfully hollered back.
“I’ll be here,” he whispered, watching your figure walk through the gates.
“Oh. Em. Gee. Wow! I’m so glad you got him, y/n!” Lea cheered when she finally had some conscience. “Where are you going?”
“Oh, uhm, I’m not sure.” You realized the issue. Not having his number made choosing the perfect outfit harder. 'Shouldn’t have played hard to get,' you thought.
“Knowing him,” Lea stepped for your closet. “He’ll probably take you somewhere nice. Like a concert, fancy restaurant, or art exhibit. Since he’s head over heels in love with you.” She pulled a black velvet dress off its hanger and handed it to you. “Oh! Here.” She tossed you some sheer, black tights as well.
“I hope you’re right,” you giggled and went to change.
Lea adored the gown and begged to straighten your hair; she thought it looked best with your outfit. Once straight, she tied your hair into a low ponytail. She picked some dangly earrings for you to wear in addition to a silver bracelet. You felt like an actress being prepped for a scene. Lea was definitely the stylist between the two of you.
Your roommate stood by the window as it was nearing 6:00. You sat nervously on the couch, praying your outfit was right.
“He’s here.”
With a shaky sigh, you slipped on your shoes and went to the door. “Wish me luck.”
“You’ve got nothing to worry about, y/n. You’ve made an impression of Felix, one so strong he’s stopped sleeping around.” She walked over to straighten the collar of your coat before continuing. “Plus, if anything does happen-- but I highly doubt he’ll be a jerk to you-- remember, Jackson’s offer to beat him up still stands.”
You giggled in unison before hugging her and heading past the threshold.
What a sight you were. As you stepped out the apartment gates, his breath hitched. You bloomed in the evening fog. He hustled to the passenger door and eagerly opened it for you.
You paused before getting in. “Does my outfit fit the occasion?” You asked nervously.
“Yes; it’s perfect.” He charmed.
Felix drove away. His car was warm, and it calmed your nerves. You kept stealing glances at his profile, noticing the kisses of the sun on his cheeks and nose. His lips were highly alluring and since last night, you wanted nothing more than to kiss him again.
The ride was quiet. Felix played some soft r&b music in the background. At every traffic light, he turned to you and took your hand in his. He raised it to his lips and kissed the back of your hand; his eyes remained locked with yours, causing you to buzz with delight.
“We’re here.”
He shifted to park before stepping to your side and opening the door. You stood on the curb and admired the restaurant while Felix paid the parking meter. Dilettante was one of the finest restaurants in town. You had never been; it was far too expensive. The thought puddled in your stomach. Felix brought you to a highly exquisite restaurant on the first date.
“Felix.”
He hummed. Finished with the meter, he latched your arm with his and strolled to the building. “Yes?”
“This is expensive. Are you sure we should eat here? We can always go to Olive Garden or-”
“Y/n.” Felix paused and slipped his hand in yours. “This is the only place you deserve for a first date.”
Your cheeks darkened at his comment when he started up to the door. “Mia, your finest table please," he winked. The receptionist led you to a candle lit corner booth. She placed the menus on the surface: “Your server will be here shortly.” Mia return the wink and strolled back to the front.
Felix obviously knew the girl. You removed your oatmeal coat and sat down. Felix sat across from you. You leaned in and whispered, “Have you slept with her?”
He laughed. He laughed at you. You chuckled nervously, unsure of why you were laughing. “Mia’s my cousin.”
Shoot.
“Your cousin?”
“Hmm,” he glanced down and played with his wrist watch. “My family owns this restaurant.” You were not expecting that. “We get to eat here for free-”
“So, I’m a free meal?”
“What? No, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it like that.” His head snapped up when you spoke. His hands reached across the table and held to yours. “I’ve actually never brought a girl here.” He mumbled while his thumb caressed your skin.
“I wasn’t even expecting the meal to be free-- I mean, I was expecting a discount, but I think my family is excited for me to finally stop sleeping around and bring someone here.”
You nodded in understanding. Your hands played with his. “Felix, you said you didn’t want to be tied down…”
“That was before I met you.” That smile of his could light up the entire restaurant.
You didn’t get to respond right away; a server came and took your drink order. He placed a basket of fresh bread on the surface and slid a platter of sweet butter alongside. You both ordered water and the server returned quickly with your drinks in hand.
“Have you decided on something to order?”
“Gosh, you’ve hardly given us time to decide, Kang.” Felix sneered and rolled his eyes.
“Right, yes. Of course. Sorry, sir.” The boy, around your age if not younger, fearfully backed away. Felix hung his head in shame when the server scurried away.
You held his hands in your; you stopped playing with them and held them still. “Lix-”
“I know, I know. I shouldn’t have snapped at him.” He raised his gaze to yours. He shuffled closer to you-- the booth made it easy for him to melt at your side so quickly-- and linked his fingers in yours once more. He tucked a wisp of hair behind your ear and kissed your neck. “I just want tonight to be perfect,” Felix breathed into your skin before sitting upright again.
You didn’t know what to say. He kept leaving you breathless; you could hear your heart pounding louder now that he was closer to you. And when his palm slid to your thigh in a non-sensual way, you prayed he wouldn’t hear how harshly your heart pounded against your rib cage.
"This isn't the best table here," he commented upon seeing your flustered state.
"We don't need to move tables. This is fine," you assured.
"I made sure Mia reserved this table. It wasn't hard; no likes sitting in the back corner anyways. But I like it here. I can kiss you without any bothersome stares."
Felix reached for a piece of bread and spread some butter on it before passing it to you. 'What a gentlemen,' you reminded yourself for the nth time this evening.
You took a sip of water after finishing the dough and spoke, “What’s the best meal here?”
“The alfredo.” He didn’t hesitate at all, and he reached for the menu to show you the different options. “My favorite is the regular chicken, but they're all decent.”
“I’ll have a chicken fettuccine alfredo then,” you giggled and swiped a hair out of his eye.
The things you did to him caused red to tickle his cheeks.
A different waiter came back and took your order. Felix explained the kid who previously served you was a distant, younger cousin and that they weren’t on the best of terms. You didn’t pry.
“Y/n?”
“Hm?”
Felix bit his lip gently before continuing, “What happened to your finals?”
“Oh, that.” You laughed deeply.
“Were there more posts like the one on Instagram or have people been bothering you?”
“No. Well, only you.” You smiled, and when you saw his clueless face, you added: “I couldn’t really study because I kept thinking of you.”
“I’m glad it was because of me. I don’t know what I would’ve done if students had been hurting you,” he admitted and leaned a little closer to your warmth, blushing.
He watched as you tried to refold the cloth napkin into its original swan origami. And when he took his and instantly folded it back, an engaging conversation about origami fortune tellers and puppets took place. Apparently, Felix was in his 5th grade talent show with a few of his buddies. They put on a Star Wars puppet show made with construction paper. The talent show gave no winners, but Felix was certain they would’ve won.
“Who would’ve known you, the mysterious campus bad boy, was into arts and crafts,” you giggled delicately at him.
“Am I still a bad boy in your eyes?”
“No!” Your response was swifter than intended. “Sorry that was a poor choice of words. You were the campus bad boy, but now you’re all mine.” You pressed against his torso and kissed his lips.
“You changed me, y/n.” Felix began and paused his words when the plates of pasta arrived. “I found myself desperate for you. So desperate. I couldn’t imagine being with anyone but you. I stopped jumping from bed to bed a while ago; I hoped it would prove myself to you. Because y/n, I want to be tied down with you for the rest of my life.”
It occurred to him that you hadn’t stopped looking at him since he began speaking. You hadn’t even touched your plate yet.
“Stop staring at me,” he blushed.
You moved your eyes to the cuisine and twirled the pasta. “I’m so in love with you I don’t think that’s possible.”
Felix’s fork clinked onto the ceramic plate. He faced you and met your gaze.
“Wait, was that too soon? I didn’t mean to offend-”
You couldn’t finish your apology with his breath dangerously close to your lips. “I love you, too.”
His lips were creamy and warm when they pressed into yours; they tasted like alfredo sauce. His pinky maneuvered its way to lock with yours while the other hand pulled you deeper into the kiss. He moved away after ensuring your pinky finger was connected with his.
Felix admired how dazed you looked after just one kiss. He didn’t notice it last night, but then again, that was the first kiss you had shared together. You opened your doe eyes at him, and he smirked.
“I’ll kiss you later. Eat your food.” He bent over his plate and continued to eat. You did the same. “How does it taste?” Felix asked, confident it would meet your expectations.
“It’s delicious,” you faced to him and smiled. Your pinky gave his a loving squeeze. “But…”
His eyes widened slightly. “But…?”
“The sauce tasted better on your lips.”
You pivoted back to your dish; you tucked that stray hair back behind your ear and bit your lips.
Felix looked down at his plate and pierced his lips together as he grinned. “You really are perfect,” he breathed, before twirling another spoonful of pasta into his mouth.
“Do you know how to make this?” You confidently inquired.
“I do,” he hummed.
“This is the best fettuccine alfredo I’ve ever had, and having a boyfriend who can make it-- you’re truly the love of my life.” Although you said it in a teasing way, you meant it, and Felix knew you meant it.
Despite not knowing each other for long, being in his presence made you feel loved and safe. And Felix vowed to do just that.
