holy shit this year marks 10 years of this blog and moz!! i can't remember the exact date i started posting here - my archive says i have one post from november 2013 but let's disregard that - but i do remember it was around late 2014/early 2015 :)

2014 → baby's first rpg!! i started playing fnv on my cousin's jailbroken xbox late 2013 and finished mid 2014 and i loved every minute of it. i remember waking up at 8am and playing almost nonstop until 2am the next day haha!

i didn't play moz on my first playthrough - but i did start creating a character that would eventually become her: a shorthaired ex-boxer who punched her way through obstacles when diplomacy failed. i remember she spent a lot of time with boone. i liked him then, because he saved my ass more times than i can count. but i digress. this is draft 1 moz essentially

2015 → this is the year that i was doing my thesis so i could graduate but i was so depressed and stressed about it that i distracted myself by replaying fnv on pc, where i played through the dlcs for the first time. i fell in love with the dlcs' oversarching story; particularly ulysses, who i became obssessed with, especially since i couldn't find any content of him at the time. in the game, i played as moz; i had most of her personality and choices down, but her backstory was still up in the air.

fun fact: this was an existing sideblog that i remade to be a fallout blog so i could look for ulysses content, and when i couldn't find any, i made some myself, featuring moz as my main courier six. originally, i didn't ship them, but eventually i ended the year as a courier/ulysses otp shipper.

this was the year i started drawing digitally - my uncle let me borrow a drawing tablet and i used an old copy of photoshop i pirated hehe

2016 → i graduated this year!! and promptly fell deeper into my depression. this was the year that it got so bad that i had to be medicated. through it all, this blog and moz and ulysses and my fandom friends were with me. and for that i am truly grateful :) this was the year i figured out how to lock transparent pixels so that i could color my lineart lol

2017 → i started hammering out moz's backstory this year i think. there's a lot of sketches of her and her family in my files. i experimented with shading and backgrounds here but that experimentation was pretty short-lived

2018 → i started using references seriously!!!! i did a lot of oc on oc kissing this year, featuring mostly moz and many friend ocs haha

2019 → didn't draw much this year. actually this year was a blur and i can't remember much from it except from it being the year of my terrible no good bad copywriting jobs... anyway i did manage to continue my courier/ulysses brainrot and make this piece, which i'm still proud of

2020 → pandemic time. i spent a lot of time asleep at home and i think this was also the year i started doing commissions?? shoutout to anyone who has ever commissioned me - thank you so much, i truly appreciate it!!

2021 → i switched from my old-ass pirated photoshop to clip studio paint and never looked back. also i did a bunch of commissions for my grandmother's surgery, which failed, and i distracted myself from the sadness by drawing my ocs over and over and playing disco elysium

2022 → by this year, i've got moz down pat and have started vaguely developing other ocs instead. but she's still always at the back of my mind

2023 → i bought new brushes from true grit texture supply and immediately found new favorites that i started using for everything. i tentatively started incorporating background elements in some pieces!

2024 → while it's still too early to say where this year will lead me art-wise, i will say that i started experimenting in realistic paint studio (which i bought in 2021, the same time as clip studio paint) a few days ago and i'm liking the results so far. we'll see!

all in all, these last 10 years have been quite a ride, but i'm glad i stuck around and i'm glad you guys stuck around too!! much much love 💖💖💖

B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind

If I have to choose which pairing came into mind, it's Fukami x Dolphi from WATGBS. That being their older versions that is. I remembered browsing around I think either Pixiv or Lofter back in 2014 and I stumbled upon a cute fanart of the older versions of them, Dolphi sleeping on Fukami's shoulder while I thiiink he was slightly blushing in the pic. Seeing this fanart, I didn't shipped them at first but I thought it was pretty cute and they had potential! Then later, someone in the fandom discovered that fanart and from there they made a whole new revolution of them creating a cute askblog and created lots of cute fanarts of them and yeah! Because of them, I ended up shipping them! 🐙🐬💞

C - A pairing you have never liked and probably never will

I have like maybe 6 NOTP's(???) that makes my blood boil LOL but I guess I'll name them

Wadanohara x anybody else but except Samekichi (Out of all wada pairings I hate the most is SalWada. I still very much hate the ship to this very day and even seeing it on sight makes me reaaaaaalllly severely uncomfortable)

Iron Maiden Jeanne x anybody else but except Ren. (Honestly the only Shaman King ship that makes my blood boil is Hao x Jeanne, I hate it a lot)

I also don't ship Hao with no one either, he's better off being single :p

I'm also not the biggest fan of OC x Canon pairings either since majority of the ships I like most of the time, I just can't stand see them being paired off with anyone else (I'm not a multishipper in general either) BUT if anyone enjoys this then your absolutely valid and cool. It's just not for me so I really try to avoid and filter/block this out.

F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom

I doubt I'll remember but in almost all fandoms I'm in are mostly only in the shipping sides

2007 - 2012 (5 years): SasuSaku (Sasuke x Sakura from naruto)

2014 - 2019 (5 years): Samewada (Samekichi x Wadanohara from WATGBS)

2015 - now (As of 8 years atm) RenMei (Tao Ren x Iron Maiden Jeanne from Shaman King). Fun fact: I kiiinda did peak at the SK fandom from afar after I finished watching the 01 anime in 2015 during my spring break in school at the time but I never touched the main fandom cuz everyone during that time was hostile towards RenMei and there was too many RenMei antis so I would take a peek from time to time and eventually moved on, only until around 2018 Takei drew their official wedding art, made even more RenMei crumbs in Red Crimson/Marcos and from then on I got heavily invested in the ship

G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it

Sasuke Uchiha x Sakura Haruno from Naruto. Been shipping them since 2007 and still ship them to this very day. So 16 years, I'm a veteran fan haha

I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why

Sadly yeaaaaa uhhh...

DSP (Deep sea prisoner). I ended up not vibing in the fandom because there were too many antis, wasn't a huge fan of many dark icky fanarts in general, there was also some fans that acted like supremacists, too many dramas would keep occuring (I remembered the dark days when the Mogeko Critical blogs were active from late 2016 to 2018) and yeah I excluded myself out somewhere in I think 2017 or 2018, it wasn't worth it.

Shaman King. Just like how I explained in the F section, the fandom had waaaayyy too many RenMei antis, heck RenMei is still hated by the fandom, a lot of huge popular blogs in the fandom back in the day treated RenMei shippers horribly (I'm not kidding) ranging from sending hate/death threats and ostracizing RenMei shippers out from the fandom, no one stood up for RenMei shippers when they were getting bashed for shipping Ren x Jeanne and it was awful. I even had a few friends back in the day that either got chased out from the fandom for having an opinion on them and another case was them being bullied to the point they ended up having traumatic experiences, left the fandom and it took them years to recover in therapy. People in the fandom straight up called us shippers terrible awful human beings for shipping a 4 year age gap and we should feel ashamed for it (And it gets even worse because the same people that called us bad awful human beings are also hypocrites and also ship problematic age gap ships in SK... and yet Renmei is somehow still considered the worst pairing???) Aaaand yeah because of the tumblr experience I've witnessed from afar, I didn't enter the fandom. (Until yeaaaars later I kinda tried to, in a discord server but I ended up not liking the experience as a whole because ppl on the server barely shipped RenMei, ppl got away with shitting on RenMei on there, I got blocked by a ex staff for shipping RenMei and almost most of the staff members are all RenMei antis and because of this experience, I completely gave up trying to be part of the SK fandom, it was not worth it as a RenMei shipper)

K - How do you feel about the other people in your current fandom

In the western side, everyone is really nice in the RenMei fandom even if it's really small. I used to be lonely for being the only hardcore shipper for them until 2 hardcore friends came along and I don't feel lonely anymore. I just recently became friends with a RenMei friend (Who was a veteran fan) a few months ago and I've had the most absolute time of my life hanging out talking and drawing the ship with them nearly almost everyday.

As for the JP fandom, I vibe with almost everyone on there as well, everyone is very supportive of the ship. Though I do have to admit, I kiiinda don't vibe well with a few fans sexualizing the younger kid versions of RenMei but we won't talk any further about that...

I wanted to see if you draw Yui and Rukiyui's ship as before? In the past, you used to draw a lot of art from these two people, but now, after almost a year has passed, I haven't seen any new art of Yui from you.

And it's also very sad that I see some of fandom completely forget Yui after joined OC and play roleplay. While she is the main character and heroine

Unfortunately, this is much more evident on Tumblr and many fandoms forgot Yui. But I see on Twitter that all the Japanese fandom appreciate Yui and always draw her arts. Almost all Japanese fandoms are more interested in drawing Yui than OC. Please don't get me wrong, I like OCs.

But I will be really sad if OC's role becomes more famous than Yui's and fandom forget her . I just want the fandom on Tumblr to care about Yui like Twitter and the Japanese fandom.

🧩 Hello, Anon. I've only been in the DL fandom for about 4 years and I haven't really seen what the Japanese side of the fandom is like, but I definitely still adore Rukiyui as a ship and I don't intend to quit drawing them altogether. It's undetermined when my next Rukiyui artwork will be since I mostly spend my days writing than drawing but I hope to draw them whenever I have the inspiration for that. I'm a busy adult too and have many friends I wish to draw for, their OCs included. So, it's less a thing against Yui/forgetting about Yui, and more so I've increased in popularity overall since my last Rukiyui art.

Back when I was drawing them a lot more frequently, I really didn't have many friends at all. No one to gush about their OCs with me, and not even anyone to talk about Yui with, either. Not to get overly sentimental, but it was a lonely time for me. I really adored drawing Ruki and Yui together because I drew her in situations I wished to see them in. For the longest time, I admired them silently while distancing myself from many people in the community for personal reasons. I can assure you these two did, and still do, hold a special place in my heart and they always will.

Also, I really do not think Yui is being forgotten whatsoever. Many, many people love her here on Tumblr. I already know for a fact whenever I did a Yui artwork in the past, that she would get way more attention than my art of the boys ever would. Why? Because Yui is seen through positive light as of right now. If you've seen my art, then you might notice the solo Yui artworks gain a lot of traction.

There are also many Yui accounts that are active in this fandom. I don't want to tag them directly since I don't want to bother people's notifications with this particular ask but @/yuikomorii is an amazing blog for all things Yui. You will see she gets hundreds of likes on everything the admin posts as well, from edits to analyses. This just shows that Yui is absolutely thriving.

There's also @/yui--komori who posts Yui-related content and a really active Yui roleplayer in @/diabolikxyui as well as @/yui-komori-ask and her new account. I suggest you check these out as well.

I'm sorry if my words come off as rude or defensive but, back to the topics of the friends I've made here, I also have LOTS of wonderful besties who draw me all kinds of things even when I didn't ask for it. One day, I really, REALLY want to repay them in some way with an art of my own. This involves their OCs.

And please also remember that this is a Ruki-focused blog. The only consistent thing here on this blog is that everything involves Ruki. That means he will interact with both Yui and original characters. There is no favoritism here on this blog, whether you are a canon character or an original one. That's one of my main purposes for making this blog, after all: so that all can interact with Ruki. This is a safe place for everybody.

I'm sure Yui, if she existed, would support an inclusive idea like this. We all pride her on her kindness and pure heart, right? I just want what's best for everyone. It was never my intention to offend anybody with the lack of Yui content here. If you check out my archive, you'll see there are at least 75 posts under the "Yui Komori" tag. That alone is a lot of content to read if you haven't already.

The reason why people make their OCs in the first place is because they want to forge their own story and live vicariously through their characters. Not all people want to do that through Yui, which is completely okay. All my friends adore her, but they don't resonate with her, if that makes sense? As in, they'd rather project through their OCs than her. Let's try to be supportive of both sides here.

Ultimately, I can assure you that Yui Komori will never be forgotten or disrespected on this blog. At least, not out of character, lol. Because we know Ruki can be crazy sometimes. 🧩

5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not? Almost always - I absolutely love, treasure, and appreciate comments and I want those who leave them to know that. They really keep me going, and as a shameful serial non-commenter, I especially keep in mind how easily people can simply choose not to take the time so I like to take the time to let them know how much it means.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? This is hard because I specifically almost never write angsty endings...Even in my fics that have a lot of darkness and angst during the story itself, the ending is always at least hopeful. The top contenders are probably We Do Not Flinch, When in the Depth of Winter, Would They Go On Aching Still, Moorings, and there are days we live as if death were nowhere (in the background).

7. Do you write crossovers? Almost never. I write plenty of AUs inspired by other media, but bringing characters between worlds isn’t really my thing. (I do have an old one up on ff.net. There’s a reason it never made the transition over to AO3.)

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic? Interestingly, the answer is somehow yes and no. The most negative comments I ever got were on The Ninety-Nine Percent, and they were almost all something like, “I enjoy the story and your writing, but I hate your OC so much that I wish she would miscarry and/or die.” And even though they weren’t actually being insulting about my skills and were often positive about other elements of the story, those sorts of comments really disturbed and upset me (not least because I’d never actually have an ending that wasn’t positive for my ship! The OC was honestly barely in the way of that!!).

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Haha, almost never, although that’s shifting a bit as I write through Here's All the Melting Thrill (And Here's the Kindling Fire). But even at my most “raunchy,” I’m mostly writing cutaways and gauzy lighting and feelings™ instead of, you know, The Sex. Body parts? Unseen. Genitalia? Never heard of her.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not by a real user as far as I know, but a couple of times by bots autopopulating sites.

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 31, but a few of them are like compilations of one shots, so more like 221. Oh and a few for an old fandom that I’ve pulled down because I wanna just be focused on bandom works.

2. What’s your total AO3 wordcount? 437,181 (why have I never looked at my AO3 stats before?!)

3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they? I mean if we’re talking like individual bands: My Chem, Danger Days (counting that separately as the characters are different thankyouverymuch), Fall Out Boy, IDKHow, Panic, Taking Back Sunday and one for Ms Taylor Swift. I also have Umbrella Academy fics on here that have never made it to AO3 for some reason. Oh and two old fandoms that again I’ve pulled down.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? MCR Imagines, Bandom Imagines, Because I’m Good At It (one of the fics I took down actually), Twelve Days of Christmas (and Winter) Fics, and Blood Moon

Oooof this is a call out. Probably my zombie apocalypse AU Late Dawns and Early Sunsets, part 3 of Weapons of Clairvoyance, or my Mikey Way x reader that’s part of my Taylor Swift inspired series. That one is almost done, but someone else released something with a similar premise and I don’t wanna be accused of stealing (even though I had it mostly written well before I knew about that other fic so I know it wouldn’t be but the optics are bad)

15. What are your writing strengths? I have no idea. I don’t feel like there’s any one point that I’m like “yes, this is what I’m good at” while writing. It all takes a lot of work and editing (so much editing... maybe editing is my strength?)

Almost made a joke about fighting my internalized cringephobia but to be emotionally honest with y'all, if 2020 has taught me nothing else, it's that who gives a shit if some rando online thinks your blog is cringey or ridiculous. Or your fandoms or ships or the kind of fan content you create/reblog. I know we went through that whole 'spark joy' thing I while back but I think it took 2020 as a whole to like... Get that into my brain in a more tangible sense. The highlight of my May (April? Maypril?) was inventing two lotr OCs with @nonbinaryaragorn named Haemir and Haramir who are trans Gondorian twins and become Faramir and Éowyn's adopted kid sisters after the war of the ring. Other people are gonna think that shit is cringey! But guess what! I love those funky teenage girls! I went in the Eskel tag the other day and fell in love w someone's OC they invented to marry him bc they want him to be happy. I have an entire tedtalk about the character of Marian from the 2006-2009 BBC ""historical"" show Robin Hood and how the writers failed her at every corner lingering in my drafts even tho the show's been off air for almost 12 years and is not Good Film. Camille did a gifset of GLEE every day this year and I'm so proud of her even tho I did bully her about it but mostly I'm impressed.

I guess my point here is that I sometimes get caught up in this idea that "I like that post but I don't wanna reblog it bc I don't want other people to be like wtf bro that's embarrassing for you" and that's so stupid! I'm also a newbe on the IT fandom since I watched them (2017 and 2019 version) during the lockdown, and the 1990 miniseries not long after. I'm still looking for the book, but I can't find any book shop open (and I won't buy it with Amazon.) You laugh at me if I say that I saw those movies while watching the whole Finn Wolfhard filmography ? Because it's thanks to that I'm in the fandom

I love this question, because it makes me feel like I'm really a part of something even if I don't do a lot. As said before I draw Patrick a lot, not only, I draw it characters a lot (I need to find where I put my last Bill drawing ) I also have a fanfiction, but I won't post it until it's finished, because I fear to not end it, and I don't want the pressure of people asking "when is the next chapter" (if people ask that) and I'm kinda anxious that if I start post it before I finish it, I'll never finish it... (But soon ! Like before July if I work hard !). And obviously I reblog memes, I share fanarts, cosplays, tik tok, videos, and fanfiction.

Ok so this is the "sophie is going to simp over everyone" time ! Fanfictions writers who inspires me are @ fuji09 (I didn't notify them on purpose, I have to stop bothering them) they're fanfictions are really cool, and there for every tastes, I wish I could have a writing skill as good as them. There is also my friend shayla_mitchel (on Wattpad) she writes a lot about Patrick and she Helps me a lot with my work (plus she is the one who correct the English version, since my translations aren't always the best) (by that I mean : it's sometimes, when the moon is in good therms with Neptune, good enough) (in my language it's fun. I swear) there are those Cosplayers on tik tok, mostly fezilius and Synthestron, moonshine4snails, tarondactyl and aphelion (they're cosplaying with their friends, if you have time watch they're works, even if they don't do only It contents, they're really good Cosplayers that I love) (i just noticed I've mentioned only male/nb Cosplayers, so I add cospla.natro (on Instagram and tik tok) and Ligeia.cosplay (on Instagram and tik tok too) and there is also the reddie videos of kmcarras (on Instagram)

I still don't know how to put links in her (I'll try to figure out while answering) the leach series of Fuji09 (mentioned above) on AO3. A fic called When you say my name by YoungDumbandFullofHeadcanons on AO3 (really a jewelry, but a lot of tw, mostly of transphobia, be careful and take care) and a hard one called "a lot of marshmallow" by MeganRosenberg on AO3 (apparently) kinda hard because it's a violent one. There was others like Above and bellows (I think) i can't find it back to mention, I think the author deleted it.

I'm really proud of the fonction I'm currently writing, even if it's a fiction with an OC and I'm a little ashamed of that(because people judge that a lot). (As said before not posted yet) and my tik toks about Richie and patrick (the two last I've posted.

It's now 3am, and I haven't finished, my phone Will probably get out of power before the end XD (like this I'll see if Tumblr have some automatics saves)

2. Do you have a personal favorite among your OCs?

Personal favorite is often shown in the one I draw the most lol, which for a long time was Danielle LWW, but just because she was also my wolfsona at the time. After I made my own personal one I think I went onto Sam for a good while, also eventually going to Dany from Bsd!

So a tie between two beautiful girls, Sam is definitely my favorite LWW Oc, she is just precious and the one I hold the most and most always feel terrible and bad when I put her through it TM. 

Also Dany is my self insert, U//w//U, she has definitely allowed me to slowly self love and allow me to appreciate myself, especially the parts of me I didn’t think to much about or consider so appealing, I think? She has definitely been changing gradually into more of myself since I first came up with her almost 2 years ago! Watch me slowly knock her down to my height of 4′9″, let her have her 3 inches for another year maybe lol.

19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)

Definitely Darkwolfmon! I am sure I explained in the first question why, but again I consider her to be that other half of me, the part of me I never discovered or the parts that essentially fill in the gaps within me. She is my precious partner Digimon and has honestly come a long, long way since I first created her. I believe sometime in 2009-2010, so almost 11-12 years since. She was the first ever OC of mine and is one I hold closest too in my heart.

For the longest time, even too now, I have always wanted her to just manifest at my side. Go on this journey of life together. While she might not be physically here like my child-self would want, she is still in my stories, my imagination, my inspirational drive. I think that is definitely more than enough, I don't know where or who I would be without having created her. I probably wouldn’t have a whole tale of OC’s and stories to tell if it wasn't for her. 

I am more than grateful and thankful that I am who I am because of this lovely Oc of mine. I can only hope to have her at my side for the rest of my days!

20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?

Most, if not all, my OC’s can sing! Their voices and tones vary, to which I cannot give a straight answer on how I headcanon most of their voices right now ^^; I will say that Danielle has a British accent to her voice as well as Spanish speak, and Sora has a Russian accent to her voice, so may be just lightly deep, but not to much.

I will definitely go with my Bsd Oc/Self Insert Danielle Mika Mason, however! Because I have gone and done a thing on how she would speak in her Japanese and English Dub! Other than me also being her voice, her Japanese VA would be Yui Ishikawa, same VA of the queen herself, Mikasa 💕 English VA would be Barrett Wilbert Weed, with an English accent, good Veronica from the Heathers! You can have a listen to her here in this post! 

Dany is meek when it comes to her singing, she will often be caught humming and softly singing something, but quickly tends to stop around others. She is often back and forth with how she sounds and often shuts down when she hears someone she considers better than her. She just needs some encouragement and a gentle push from someone she really cares about. When she does feel the push and genuineness from someone she will sing her heart out. But of course prefers to sing for only that one special person~ can ya guess~ 🐯

31.  Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like (what they reblog, layout, anything really).

Oh boi! I literally have moodboards to add to this! I pick Samantha, or Sam! 

She would totes have a Tumblr blog, and Instagram! You always look forward to see what she post and just feel an instant calmness and warmth when you see it! She is always tagging her things appropriately, a soft and warm spring like layout that is shades of yellows, golds, orange, white; an occasional blue and teal as well! She would reblog anything of her aesthetic, golds, yellows, dance and ballet related things (may even post videos or poses of herself in practice and dance related things), cafe shops, sweets and desserts, warm night lights, cats, lots and lots of cats and felines of all shapes and sizes! Her best friend/boyfriend, Takaru always cameos in her stories and posts 💖

She would also reblog or spread awareness of any issues happening in the world, marking them and making her own voice heard as well. In spur moments, you may see her not tag things, but will likely go back to name things accordingly. She would also reblog anything of Bi Pride too!

28. Your most dangerous OC? 

Hmmm,,, my most dangerous Oc, I am taking the notion that they are just plain dangerous and likely of evil intent in their actions. Because plenty of my Oc’s on their own are dangerous in their own right, such as the Legendary Wolf Warriors, who have a great power at their paws. They can be destructive in their actions if they lose control or use it for the wrong intentions, which they wouldn't do of their free will. 

I will say Danielle and Sam are the strongest of the seven, because of their powers of Darkness and Light, respectively. Their souls created the others, so the other Warrior’s power does not match theirs. They can definitely be lethal together if used for the wrong reasons or if they are under the control of a Human or Deadly Sin.

Which leads me to say that the most dangerous of my OC’s with the worst intentions and evil thought processes that makes them dangerous is likely the Deadly Soul Sin Pride, or Mikka Penelope King/Pride as her solid name goes. 

She is definitely the most sinister of the seven sins, even worse than Wrath, who you may figure would be the worst. She has a calculating mind and is very precise in her actions and ways of manipulation. She has a poison within her veins that is just as deadly, capable of blinding others or even killing without remorse or care. While she may be a ghost like entity in my stories, a person/digimon holder in my Digimon College Au, she has enough power to influence people to fall under pride and vanity in the most dangerous level possible, heck even possess them if she wishes. That makes her stronger, as well as the other sins. Does not matter if she is dead or fades away for a while, her influence remains and if it does, than she can exist for a long as she desires.

48. OC who is a perfect cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure

Lol I saw cinnamon roll and instantly had a list of ocs ready, honestly any child OC I have is instantly a cinnamon roll and to good and put for this world, please treat them all kindly!

Current top Oc’s that come to mind are Haruko Mason-Nakajima, along with their nameless sister/pup! They are the sweetest babies ever and love them so much. Too good and pure, especially nameless pup with her love for tigers; she wants to grow up and be like her sibling and papa 🥺🥰  You can see the post on them here!

Next up is my precious flamey boi named Alik Azure Mizuhara! A next gen. LWW, son of Sora and Yamato! A little sightless boi with the softest heart and warmest empathy for others. In middle of laughing and flirting, Hvitserk had convinced you to take a detour from your original path, claiming it was his utmost obligation to show you around Kattegat, a town he had proudly showed off, saying it was seeing its best days thanks to him and his brothers. You couldn’t help giggling at the way he excitedly introduced you to the fishermen and the merchants selling their produce at the market, to the cows and goats passing around, to the children and the ancient, to the houses and the ships and the docks, and everything else you already knew by heart.

Initially you had been too shocked to tell him you had grown up in Kattegat, still having a hard time believing he hadn’t recognized you. But as the hours passed with him dragging you around, you managed to slip out that bit of information, and told him you knew each other. He was mostly embarrassed for not knowing who you were, so he avoided talking about it, quickly trying to distract you with baked goods or entertaining stories.

Walking hand in hand with Hvitserk was something you had daydreamed throughout your life more times than you could count. You had imagined how his eyes would be shining because of daylight and how his skin would feel against yours; what types of things you would talk about and if he would laugh at your jokes or say cheeky things you knew he usually said to women he was interested in. 

He did not disappoint you. Even while trying to show off, as he usually did, his eyes always fell back on you, and his warm hand only occasionally left yours, making you feel elated and special and bringing warmth to your whole body, something you were almost thankful for, because it made you ignore the cold completely.

It was almost dark, and with the sun hidden behind the clouds since earlier, you weren’t too sure you would be able to get home before nightfall if you stretched your outing much longer.

“That place is the Great Hall,” Hvitserk gestured towards the big wooden doors.

You chuckled, “I know the Great Hall, prince Hvitserk, I don’t think it changed at all.”

His eyes slightly widened and he squeezed your hand tighter. You had to stop yourself from laughing, because that was the exact reaction he had every time you’d mentioned something to do with you having lived in Kattegat before.

His adorable reaction distracted you from the bad memories immediately flooding your thoughts, and you had to take a deep breath to focus back on reality.

“Yes, I forget.” He laughed and scratched the back of his neck, “Do you want to go home now? We can go to yours or to mine.”

You laughed loudly at his attempt to take you to his bed, too amused to think much of it, “I think it would be better if you took me to my house and then go back to yours.”

“Are you not going to tell me who you are?” Hvitserk asked for what felt like the hundredth time. 

You were almost reaching your destination and he still didn’t know who you were, and you refused to tell him. As soon as you started to make your way to your house he dropped the embarrassed act and went to attempt guessing where he knew you from.

You hadn’t stopped laughing the entire way, too amused with the entire situation.

“No, I’m having too much fun!” you giggled, your cheeks almost hurting from the smile on your face.

“This is torture,” he groaned, throwing his head back. But he wasn’t truly annoyed, your sweet smiles and giggles, even if at his expenses, made up for it.

“Don’t worry, prince Hvitserk, you’ll remember me soon,” you grinned.

He shook his head, the crooked smirk never leaving his face, and squeezed your hand. You were sure he knew they way your heart reacted to those small touches, and did them on purpose just to make you flustered.

“There aren’t many people who live this far into the woods,“ he acknowledged with narrowed eyes, going back to his mission of finding out who you were, “I only know two.”

“Oh?” you gave a lopsided grin. He was getting closer, but you doubted he would figure it out before you got home. “Who?”

Before he could respond, you heard your name being shouted from afar and a second later your parents came into your view. Immediately dropping Hvitserk’s hand, you sprinted towards them, throwing yourself in their arms.

To be back home so far had been an otherworldly experience, but finally being able to see your parents, knowing you would see them tomorrow and the day after tomorrow made you feel ecstatic. They had been the only people you had to rely on for so long, supporting you through everything, and you felt the most happy being back beside them. You could finally say they didn’t have to worry about you anymore. Or so you hoped.

They whispered apologies in your ears, telling you your mother had a late commission for a dress outside of Kattegat, and they had lost track of time trying to get it done in time for the trading ship to arrive.

Hvitserk slowly made his way to you, your trunk in his hand, and your parents let you go.

“Thank you for bringing my daughter home, prince Hvitserk,” your father spoke politely, wary of him.

Hvitserk was astounded at the vision of your parents. He couldn’t believe he hadn’t recognized you. You knew each other since childhood; your father was one of the warriors training other people for the raiding parties Ragnar organized, and you were always around, trying to keep yourself from playing with Sigurd. 

But he remembered you being quite different than he was seeing now. Back then, you were shy and meek, nothing like the confident teasing woman he spent the day with.

He cleared his throat before answering, “Yes, Arne, I couldn’t let her unaccompanied.”

Your father approached him and took the baggage out of his hand before returning home with your mother, giving you and the prince privacy to talk.

“Thank you for the company, Hvitserk.“ 

“Of course, I go out of my way to help a friend, Y/N.” The mention of your name, indicating he, in fact, knew you, made you drop your head back and laugh loudly. “I can’t believe I didn’t know who you were.”

The subtle blush in his cheeks made your smile wider, “Well, I can’t blame you. I certainly look quite different.”

“Yes, you do,” he responded with the same tone he had been using the entire day, and you could almost sigh in relief because he didn’t stop his advances after learning who you were.

You slowly got closer to him until your noses were almost touching, his smirk matching yours.

“I’m sure you must be busy, I’m sorry I took so much of your time,” You said softly, your eyes going over his face. “Goodbye, prince Hvitserk.”

You couldn’t help but smile at his stunned expression, with eyes still fixed on you even after you turned your back and went after your parents, not waiting for his response.

Hvitserk walked into the Great Hall with a huge grin on his face, quite the contrast from the last time he was there. Ubbe was sitting at the table sipping on mead and he exchanged a surprise look with Ivar, sitting at the throne sharping one of his knifes in one of the few moments he had for himself.

“Hello, brothers,” he greeted cheerfully, patting Ubbe in the back and sitting beside him. Reaching a hand over the table, he grabbed a piece of bread and a the jar of mead, filling his cup to the brim and downing in one go. “You’ll never guess who’s back!”

Ivar raised a brow, still deciding whether he wanted or not to ask who made him so happy, “Who?”

“Y/N! Arne’s daughter,” Hvitserk ignored Ivar’s frown and shoved a piece of bread into his mouth, swallowing before speaking again, “she looks beautiful, I didn’t recognize her, can you believe it?”

“Hvitserk-”

“As much as I love to hear about the women you bring to your bed, Hvitserk, I have to remind you, you are getting married soon.” Ivar interrupted Ubbe, instantly reprimanding their brother.

“I don’t think Tove will care too much about other women, Ivar,” he chuckled, grabbing more bread and standing to go back outside before Ivar had the chance to ruin his good mood.

“But her father certainly will!”

“He is not here,” Hvitserk laughed and turned away, not waiting to hear his younger brother’s response or to look at the way he had to bite his hand to not lose his temper.

“That went well,” Ubbe broke the silence, wary of Ivar’s angry stance.

“We need to solve this,” Ivar breathed deeply, finally calm after a few seconds, “Fredrik’s going to be here soon, and if he sees the man betrothed to his daughter, who I promised would be somewhat faithful, with another woman, he will cancel the agreement and declare war on us. You know he battled for less.”

“What do you suggest we do, Ivar? Hm? It was already hard to have Hvitserk agree to this marriage, do you expect him to just… stop taking women and be loyal to someone he is marrying against his will?”

The king stopped for a minute, pondering his brother’s words, before deciding on an obvious resolve.

“She needs to go.” Before Ubbe could object to killing her, he spoke again, “we convince her to return to where she came from, Hvitserk marries Tove, and then she is free to come back to Kattegat and do whatever she wants.”

Oc Master Post

Alright! I finally have all my ocs designed and written down! This is the official debut post for this oc blog! It’s really long (gotta go through 10 ocs lmao) so I’ll put a read more so it’s easier to scroll past. If your interested, please read and even ask me questions! I really want to interact with this fandom since everyone seems so nice and funny!

And yes, I did put grils instead of girls on purpose...I’m funny I swear

So I first want to say that my ocs are in an au, one which has NRC have female students (but still in low numbers) and an 8th dorm based on Captain Hook (making Ramshackle the 9th). Also Crowley is a tiny bit nicer to our mc in this au, mostly cause he’s basically her weird dad lol

There’s another addition to this au, but that’ll be addressed in my MC insert’s bio.

I’ll also list additional info that the text in the refs don’t address, including body types because I wanted my ocs to be diverse in that aspect.

Another thing, shipping. Oh great seven, shipping will be a free for all for me. I really like shipping. So any ship and every ship will be possible (as long as it’s not with Cheka or Ortho, cause no. Human Grim is fine, but he has to be in human form). Charlotte (or Charlie as people call her) is usually quiet, especially when she first arrives in TW. But the more she’s comfortable around the people, the more she reveals her inner sass. She doesn’t want to admit it, but she’s as much as a dumbass as the ADeuce duo.

She’s also has albinism, but she used to constantly dye her hair into a more strawberry blonde so she wouldn’t get picked on by other kids. This condition also leads to her having to take many breaks during PE so she won’t burn.

She may like cats, but Grim really tests her fondness for them. But once it’s found out he can take a human form (and becomes more chill due to the amount of energy it takes to maintain said form) the two actually become the best of friends, which shocks the first year gang.

Whitney is what you expect from a rabbit, timid, nervous, shy, anxiety filled, and easily intimidated. At first. If you manage it anger her, suddenly you’ll be hit by both a Scottish war cry and a rabbit kick. When she’s angry, she’s a rage filled bunny who throws the most foul of curses. Her switches are rivaled to Deuce’s bad boy switch. And just like the boy, when she calms down she get’s very flustered. 

She doesn’t talk to many people, as she hates attention. But after some she does become acquainted with the boys, almost on the line of friendship with each.

Wendy is a very small moon jellyfish mermaid. She was home-schooled by her mother under the sea, while her father ran a business on land. She visited land often to see her father, fascinated by all neon lights shining in the city.

She’s very quiet, like she’s actually a selective mute. She doesn’t tend to hangout with people because she fears most don’t like her because of her selective muteness. Oddly enough though, she’s always seen with Floyd, to the bafflement of everyone. She finds the eels mannerisms amusing.

She loves to sing, but doesn’t want anyone but her secret singing buddy (Daria) to listen to her. Her voice is very high pitched, but soft that it’s almost hard to hear. She also loves baking, often seen helping Jade and Floyd with preparing the sugary foods and drinks Monstro Lounge offers.

Layla is like that one person who teases everyone and sees most as her friend. She uses both her height and pretty features to get a rise and fluster anyone. Her main victim is Jamil, much to his displeasure. She gets along great with Kalim, fueling his antics of carpet riding and shenanigans. But she does help Jamil in taking care of Kalim, often seeing the snake whisperer overworked.

She’s usually seen hanging out with Kaya and Whitney (with the rabbit being flustered by both of the taller females). She’s drawn to most in the Savanaclaw dorm, as she has the urge to pet their ears. She and Kaya are in the same class, so the two always buddy together, helping each other if needed.

Back home she comes from a line of exotic dancers, always entertaining other for money. With this in mind, she practices her dancing everyday. She hopes she can live up to the expectations her family has put on her. She’s not wealthy, but she’s not poor, so she doesn’t get too surpised over Kalim’s wealth. But she still does, especially when Kalim once offered to get her a tiger cub (she refused though).

Daria is another quiet and reserved girl, she’s not shy per say but she prefers people to approach her than the other way. She doesn’t particularly like that she was sorted into Pomefiore, cause all she wants to do is paint and sing. This leads her to grow close to Epel and anger Vil. She purposefully doesn’t do anything to her appearance, only brushing her hair as she hates tangles. 

She tends to stay in a secret area with Wendy, singing with the fellow quiet girl. If not that then she’s doing artwork in her dorm room, ignoring anyone who dares to pull her away from her work. Often times this leads to both her and Vil having a glaring contest cause she didn’t sleep (”Too busy painting” she says.) or forgot to do her morning skincare routine.

Elina is the mom friend, always giving others affection and helping them when she can. Because of her affectionate self, she treats Ortho like her little brother. You’ll often see her playing with the boy, or in her room working on her prosthetics (with Idia helping). She loves making her limbs look non-human, but she has more human structure legs for school (as to not weird out her classmates too much). She’s made them since young, always improving and modernizing her limbs.

Because of a tragic accident, she has prosthetics for both legs and her left arm. And has trauma over car races or cars going over the speed limit. She never mentions her family around others, but it shows how much she cares for them. The same could be said for her friends.

Maria is basically the opposite of Lilia, while he looks young but acts maturely she looks mature but acts like a complete child. Most believe she’s staff before she has to explain that she’s a student. She’s not a brat (thank sevens) but she is very naive and innocent. This causes for her dorm mates to become somewhat protective if someone makes a pass on her (she never notices cause she thinks they’re just being nice). 

She has a talent with designing clothes, no one can explain why. Many have approached her to pay for her designs, but she refuses. She says she much prefers to just make and gift her designs to anyone. When she’s working, it’s the most mature you’ll see her. Everyone she’s interacted with has at least one thing she’s made, whether they wanted it or not.

Jessie is the dorm leader of Bonäuber, a dorm based upon The Captain of the Seas, who is held almost as high regards as the Great Seven. She’s a very childish and extremely cocky girl. She always praises herself for being the best out of everyone, when in actuality she’s not the brightest. The only thing she is good at she is shooting a gun, loving a good hunt. She also has a child fascination for board games, so she often plays (and loses) with Azul and Idia. 

Most don’t like her because she has a bad habit of stealing from anyone and everyone. This is because of her hard childhood, having to steal to survive with no family. The Savage Seas, and the isles among it, were tough on those with no wealth. It wasn’t until a kind pirate gifted saved her from a beating and gifted her a gold coin, her first coin. She now wears the coin on her neck and vows to become a pirate as great as The Captain, using her loot to make others who were in her shoes to have a good life. Because of her ambitions, she always goes for the rich when looting, Kalim being her main target. But because of how nice and generous he is, she gets flustered and runs away without a single coin. (It’s really cute ngl)

As a dorm leader she’s overly not strict, the most she can be is over how clean the dormitory is. Uniform isn’t strict as well, only forcing those in the dorm to wear the striped shirt, vest, belt, bandanna, and boots. Bottoms can be anything, and the corsets were optional. Most dorm members were interestingly mostly females, which confused many. 

Their dorm building is a functioning pirate ship, usually docked on a deserted island. Occasionally the dorm will go on an adventure, since most are those who love the sea and can’t stay in one place.

Sammy (what Jessie calls her) is the vice dorm leader of Bonauber, she’s very mysterious and weird to most in the school. She’s always by the shorter girl’s side, and always takes care of her. She is a big enabler, sharing her ambitions with the leader. She’s very humble about her intelligence and abilities, often only giving praise to Jessie. She’s almost like a mother for the leader.

She’s secretly a crocodile that saved (and traumatized) Jessie when they were younger. As she saw the little girl run from an adult, causing the reptile to attack the adult. She didn’t know why, but at the time a sudden feeling of protecting for the girl took over. Ever since then the reptile was drawn towards the girl, almost obsessive. It wasn’t until she developed her unique magic that she stuck with the girl from childhood. Jessie never realized, as Sam is very keen on keeping the object of her affections(?) in the dark. If anyone threatens the two, Sam will open her eyes and glare with her slit pupils as scales appear faintly.

And that’s all of them! After posting this I’ll start working on two things.

1: cards, I want to draw cards for them as if they are canon characters. I’ll work on the school uniform cards first!

2: Grim’s human design, this one will be easier as he’ll just be a sketch.

Fic Writer Meme

I’ve been tagged by everyone and that legit Made My Day.  ( @wherehefoundtheporcupine @eau1636 @petersjakes and probably others but I can’t keep track)

Fandoms: Endeavour is the only one I’m active in. I tend to hyperfocus on a topic. I’m also a good bit insecure and shy, and I like the comforting small-ness of this fandom. I’m mildly afraid of getting involved in any larger fandoms. 

Number of Fics: I have 61 works posted on AO3,  24 of those are Endeavour fics, 1 is an original story that I need to get back to work on, and the rest are all original poems.

Fic I spent the most time on: As far as published fic, I’ve been working on Stitches/Here Comes the Sun the longest , mostly because I stalled out on Here Comes the Sun. I think I’ve put the most amount of effort into was Can’t Fight This Feeling Anymore because I’m terrified of getting Max DeBryn wrong.

Fic I spent the least time on: Honestly, my first one Treat You Better. It’s my first published fic, and honestly I didn’t expect it to a) be any good b) be received well at all or c) end up that long. I kinda just threw stuff together and didn’t edit much at all.

Longest fic: Rusty Cage which is written in @hekate1308‘s magical realism universe. I honestly have no idea how that fic is over 60k. Like. That boggles my mind? It doesn’t feel like I’ve written that much? And I have no clue how long it will end up, because I have at least 2 more consecutive chapters planned, plus a lil twist and then there’s whatever comes in between.

Shortest fic: LOL I forgot about Bite Me which is a ridiculous lil follow up to some Vampire Morse stories by @lieutenantmalcolmreed It’s literally the only fic of mine under 1k words. O.O

Most hits: I just checked and almost choked. Treat You Better with 2359 hits?!? What?!? What the heck?!? How did this happen!?!? It is my oldest fic but it’s only like a year old and this is a baby fandom and and and w h a t?

Most kudos: Treat You Better again, with 109 kudos. O.O

Total Word Count: 273,290 excuse me?! My initial thought is “oh but a lot of that is poetry”---b u t if we subtract off the poetry and the original fic, I’m at 258,876 words. What in the everloving heck? I’ve been on AO3 for just over a year...what am I doing?

Favourite Fic I Wrote: ohhhhhhhh uhm. Dangit. This is hard. Of published, probably The Waiting Game. I enjoyed playing with Thursday’s fear and horror and Morse coming to accept his help.  I have to say, though, I’m partial to my original fic, Redneck Haunt Club because I’m in love with my OC’s. 

Fic You Want To Rewrite/Expand On: At some point, I would like to go back and “fix up” Treat You Better, and some of my earlier Shameless series stories. I want to wait until I’ve got the beginning of the series down better, and then fix any character inconsistencies and polish up my writing. 

Share a Bit of a WIP or story idea you are planning on: I have so many WIPS. SO. MANY. While my mental health was poor earlier this year, I couldn’t stay focused, so I have like...so many half done WIPS. Anyhow...ummm...

You know what? Ima go for broke. So I have this Morseverse story that pre-dates all my other stories. I set it on the back burner for quite a while, but I hope to finish it someday. It’s sort-of a casefic, following a series of murdered policemen, with bits of other cases filtered in. It features a heck ton of Morse whump and worry. The main “plot” focus is on Morse and his relationship with...an original female character *gasp*.

Yeah I know. I’m terrified to put the story out there, but I love Adelaide Eckles so much guys. She’s essentially a “reader insert” except shes so much cooler than me. When I first started writing fic again, I hadn’t found a Morseverse ship that I liked a ton, and I wanted a female character that I could identify with. Not that I dislike any of the women in the Morseverse, but none of them suited me. So Adelaide (or Delle, as she likes to be called) was born.

Delle is a spunky woman who takes no shit from anyone. My biggest fear about introducing her to y’all is that she’s...well, look. I’m a science teacher and I wanted to give Delle an active part in the workings of the Cowley Station boys. So I kinda...bent the rules and made her...*ahem* a female pathologist. Please don’t hate me. She’s not meant to replace Max--she and Max actually have a really cool working relationship/friendship together. I just...needed a place for my spirit.

Anyhow, the main idea or “plot” of the story is that Delle has struggled with depression (among other things) and as such, is able to recognize the depression that’s eating away at Morse (a headcanon of mine) and helps him to understand himself. And yeah, they fall in love because why not.

Please don’t hate me.

Anyhow. I felt like sharing that. I’m hoping to start working on Delle’s story sometime and release it into the wild. And maybe someone will read it just for the heck of it--I know OC’s aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but I’ve put too much time into Delle to back out. 

I should...stop talking now. Is anyone surprised that I can’t write short things? I can’t even answer a meme concisely. *sigh*

1) How old were you when you first starting writing fanfiction?

Ten or eleven, when I first figured out it was a Thing. (Somewhere, buried in my boxes of Old Papers, there is baby!shadowsong’s attempt at writing something involving Padme turning up at Yavin but with the serial numbers very badly filed off, before I learned it was possible to just...write fanfic, lol.

5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why?

Oh, Lord, why must you do this to me. XD

I mean, I like all of them for different reasons? Writing Precipice is almost like coming home, I’ve been living in that AU for so long; The Devoted was delightfully self-indulgent and a fun exercise in worldbuilding and I do plan to put more in that AU at some point, I swear; These Three Remain also had some super self-indulgent bits and some sweet cuddly fluffy bits and yep; Distaff is so much fun to work with Anakin’s characterization and her (in said fic) relationship with Padme; I have some WIPs that I’m super excited to get out...even going back to old fandoms, HoTM and Cartography!Verse and The Promises of Angels and Serenissima (ish; we were posting it as a series of vignettes rather than one long novel) and For Sorrow Sung and all my AtLA fic, and...

...yeah, I’m bad at picking favorites XD

11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it?

Not really? I’ve added extra notes and when I was a baby in the LOTR fandom I actually took a fic down because I got pounced on by a Canon Purist, but I...don’t usually change what I do have planned out in response to criticism? Sometimes I add in some filler/explanation, or comments inspire me to add thing, but...

I don’t plan things out in a whole lot of detail, but I do usually have a few Major Plot Points worked out, and I tend not to change them because criticism. I usually don’t go back and edit, either.

14) How did you come up with the title for the xxx? - You can ask about multiple stories.

18) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?

Yep, a few. Mostly, I abandon WIPs because I drifted away or otherwise left the fandom (i.e., most of my SPN fic), or otherwise got stuck on a plot point (For Sorrow Sung, which I might rewrite, I got stuck on because I wasn’t sure how to write Roslin; Distaff has stalled because I have to do a Monster chapter next because I did some things out of order; etc., though I actually do intend to get back to Distaff at some point, and am considering rewriting For Sorrow Sung or getting back to some of my other BSG fic...). ...on that note, there are several Stalled WIPs that I don’t consider abandoned, I just get sidetracked by other things even if I intend to get back to them At Some Point (Auxiliaries, Masks, a few others.)

Also, a bunch of miscellaneous self-indulgent things that I never really intended to share outside a small circle of friends that I wander away from when my attention gets caught by a similar shiny self-indulgent thing I don’t really intend to share outside a small circle of friends...

27) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow?

Moooostly go with the flow. Then again, I don’t formally outline most things, but I generally have an Idea of the Main Plot Points I’m working towards? But those are usually Super Major Things (i.e., with Precipice, when I was going into it, I had most of Arc 1 planned out ahead of time; I knew when and how Lavinia was going to be introduced; I knew most of how Rex got brought in and at least when Ahsoka came in; I knew Ahsoka was going to be Leia’s primary teacher; I knew when and how Specter was going to die; I knew that the reunion (and the attempt to kidnap Lavinia) were going to happen (though actually I was originally planning for Saw to be behind said kidnapping before realizing that didn’t make sense); I knew when Infernalis was going to be introduced and then die; and then some Spoilery Stuff for the next several arcs :)

So, yeah. I usually have a general notion of where things are going (...most of the time; I mentioned Distaff above, and I’m waffling on how I want things to end for that one...) but a loooooot of white space and things are in flux along the way.

33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?

Honestly, probably the one I kept in my inbox to reread the most often was on The Promises of Angels--I got a very long comment about the things I’d done with both the focal character and other side characters and the way I’d handled the established lore (and places where canon had fallen short, re: ex-vessels and so on), and then saying they were going to rec it to other people. I’ve gotten other very nice comments since then, (Precipice gets a lot of comments, some of which are lovely, some of which are infuriating), but I think the reason that one sticks with me is because I worked on that fic for so long, and it was a 100k gen epic about a tertiary character who (at the time) had been dead for five seasons. So, a very niche-appeal fic, especially in a fandom that tends to be very shipping-focused, so the fact that it had that much appeal outside of my own brain meant a lot.

(Also, just...the fact that so many people have read and liked Precipice means a whole lot to me????? Was not expecting that for a long wandering genfic epic, lol. ...again, because the fandom I was most active in prior to that is very ship-focused; Star Wars tends to be more gen-friendly, at least that’s been my experience thus far.)

34) What’s the harshest criticism you’ve gotten?

Maybe not the harshest overall I’ve ever gotten, but I mentioned earlier that I took down one LOTR fic because a Canon Purist complained about it to me--I mean, it might not have actually been that mean if I were to get it now that I have a thicker skin, but I was Little Shadowsong at that point and it hurt enough for me to take the fic down, and it does kind of linger in the back of my mind as my Worst Comment Experience.

38) If you could collab with any other writer on here, who would it be? (Perhaps this question will inspire some collabs!) If you’re shy, don’t tag the blog, just name it.

...to be honest, I don’t do a lot of collaborations overall, and most of the ones I do tend to be with people I’ve been friends with/RP’d with for a Long Time.

That being said, I’m possibly open to trying? Right now I have a lot on my plate, both fic and IRL wise, over the next couple months, but if anyone’s interested, hit me up and we’ll see if we can work together!

41) What’s you favourite minor character you’ve written?

In Star Wars? Probably Bo-Katan. I really do wanna finish/start posting our faces like a mirror before the Mandalore Arc actually airs (not that I care about jossing so much, but it’d be nice to Officially lock my canon there so I can point to it if anyone does the whole ‘but canon says!’ thing at me, lol). Also, I love writing Beru, at least the way I write her in Precipice.

If we expand to other fandoms...Nick in SPN, at least before canon brought him back wrong; for BSG...well, most of the ‘minor’ characters I like are really secondary and/or Major in one arc or two--i.e., D’Anna, Gaeta, Ellen Tigh is a lot of fun; in AtLA, I personally mostly wrote major characters and OCs (though some of those were...people who had definitely Existed, but were not named or explored in canon--i.e., Lu Ten’s mother), but my primary RP/writing partner and I worked a lot with Haru and Song and Teo and the Dai Li, among others...but said partner mostly handled them.

44) What is the last line you wrote?

New Story: Love Taps

I did it! I was stumped for a little bit there as I focused on my Meet My OCs series and my blog post (which I still haven’t written for this week), but I managed to write up my monthly completed piece of fiction! Whoot!

I jumped fandoms a touch here, but you have to follow inspiration, right?

So, I’d like to present to you my first Fruits Basket fanfic.

**Disclaimer: I haven't had the chance to start up Fruits Basket Another or the Three Musketeers Arc, so I'm sorry if I have some inconsistencies. I tried my best via the wiki pages...  ***UPDATE: I have now read FBA and there ARE inconsistencies, mostly with Hajime and Sawa’s personalities, and I don’t really ship them now that I’ve read the story buuuuut I’m leaving this unedited. Oh well.... 

Also, this story is about Adult Tohru, so there will be spoilers if you don’t know who Hajime is.

Love Taps

Kyo's little head bonks carry more meaning and more love than anyone could ever truly know. Anyone besides maybe Tohru, who reflects on an entire lifetime of receiving the loving raps on the noggin.

I think I've always known, at some level, that his little bonks on my head were a sign of his affection. It's very fitting for him; to show love with his fists, but in a gentle manner. Those head bonks have always been so dear to me, because they proved that he saw my faults, but wanted a connection to me anyway.

"Kyo? Kyo! I- I think my water just broke! Oh no! What do I do? I know we studied this, but it's really happening!" I paced in a tight little circle, liquid dripping down my leg. "Should I clean this up so it won't stain? Should I go change? I probably need to soak my clothes so they won't stain. Do I have time to do so? Do we have the overnight bag packed? Is my mother's picture in the bag?" I held my pregnant belly as I leaked further onto the floor, unsure which direction to go. That's when I got that delicate bonk on the crown of my head. It startled me still, made me blink a few times as I re-focused, and arched my head back.

"You need to just focus on you and the kid. I've got everything else, you hear me? You always find a way to worry about the wrong things." Kyo already had our overnight bag slung over his shoulder, and was moving to grab my mother's picture to place inside the bag. "Now, if you feel gross, go wash off your legs, otherwise, we should get going."

"Um, I- I don't want to get the seats messy."

"I already have towels so you won't, but we do have a minute for you to wash if you stop dawdling."

I shook my head. "No. I'll be fine. We should get going."

He then smiled at me. "You're going to do amazing." He walked over, wrapped his free arm around my waist, and rested his forehead on mine. "Remember how insanely strong you are the whole time, okay?"

As I nodded, he ushered me out the door so we could meet our son.

That was the beauty of those head bumps. He wanted me to focus. He wanted to help reset me as my world was spinning around me; when I wasn't focusing on the right things, or when I wasn't focusing at all. They were never rough, and they weren't judgmental. Instead, they were always filled with love. In fact, I think I blushed the first time he bonked the side of my head because I knew the love he shared with that action. Part of me must have known that those bonks carried words Kyo couldn't quite say.

Words like 'you worry too much' or 'you need to focus so you'll be safe' or 'I like having you around' or 'please, don't leave me' or even 'you know I love you, right?' Sometimes, they carried the question that weighed the most on Kyo's mind: 'How could you possibly love someone so much?'

"Tohru, we have to go." Kyo sighed as he leaned against the classroom door. He gave an apologetic shrug and head shake towards the teacher.

"It's my baby's first day!" I squeezed our son close to me, and his little arms wrapped around me just as tight. "It's going to be a full day without seeing his adorable face, or hearing his sweet voice, or running around the yard with him."

"I want you to stay, Mama!" Hajime nuzzled his head into my shoulder. "Can't you go to school with me?"

"Okay, enough of this." Kyo softly grumbled. He then took strong and pointed steps towards us before – bonk, bonk – both Hajime and I got little knuckle raps on the sides of our head.

We both blinked, and pulled away from each other as we tried to register what just happened. We turned to Kyo, who blew out a calming breath before resting his hands on our son's shoulders, centering him to face his father.

"You know how a lot of people come to visit us, just to hang out? Just because they miss us?"

Hajime nodded as he wiped a couple of tears away.

"Those are all of your mother's friends-"

"Kyo-" They weren't just my friends. They were his as well, and more importantly, they were his family; I was just the one lucky enough to join that loving clan.

Kyo held up his hand to still my protest. "Those are your mother's friends, and she helped them become mine as well. Do you want lots and lots of friends like her?"

Hajime nodded vigorously, borderline comically.

"Well, then you need to be kind like she is. And you need to be welcoming. Most importantly, you need to talk to them, and show them your big heart. It may not work at first. You may be teased, but you'll then find others just as kind as you, and they'll be your friends for life. Then you won't need anyone else. You got that?"

"Uh-huh."

"It won't work if you are only with your mother, though. Now, turn around." Kyo physically pivoted Hajime so they were both looking into the classroom, Kyo kneeling behind our son and whispering into his ear. "Look at how many friends could be waiting for you in this room. Don't you want to meet them?"

"I do!" Hajime bounced on his toes, a grin stretching almost impossibly far across his face.

"Then go meet them, and we'll see you once school is done. Okay?"

"Okay, Daddy." Hajime squeezed both of us tight before turning and sprinting off to meet his classmates.

"As for you." Kyo stood, and held out his hands to lift me to my feet as well. "He'll be fine, and you need to trust that he'll be fine." He discretely tapped my chest just above my heart. "Just as your mother is always with you, know that you're always with him; watching over him, even when you can't physically be there. Besides, he's in good hands, isn't he?" He addressed the teacher, who looked slightly less exasperated now that my overly-affectionate display had ended. The teacher nodded and gave us a small smile.

"Okay, we can go." I hugged Kyo's forearm to prevent me from shooting forward and scooping up our beautiful child again. Resting his head on the top of mine, Kyo escorted me out of the classroom.

That was probably the greatest thing about those head bonks. They were an anchor. They helped ground me, and even Hajime on occasion. When I was being tossed about in a sea of emotions, Kyo's raps on the side of my head kept me from floating off. Kept me from floating away from reason; floating away from public decency; floating away from alertness; floating away from reality, even.

As I grew older and more mature, the less I needed that anchor; Kyo simply existing in my life was enough. He taught me how to be more alert; how to stay more focused on what truly was important. Having Hajime also helped greatly with that. Soon, Kyo only bonked me on the head once a month. Once a season. Eventually, I realized he had only rapped me on the head once that whole year. Part of me wondered if I should purposely start to let myself drift again; daydream again. Something to call out for Kyo to tap the side of my head. Because I missed it.

I think he missed that connection as well. We hugged. We kissed. We held hands. We snuggled next to each other. None of it was quite the same though, as much as I loved all of it. I think he felt the same way, because the meaning of the tap changed. It now became more of a way to silently tell me 'I know' or 'I feel the same way' or 'it hurts me too, but we'll manage.'

"Uh, I guess he forgot about me?" Sawa-chan shook her head and hid an exasperated chuckle behind her bridal bouquet. Kyo stood beside her, sighing as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"I can't believe how grown up you are!" I nuzzled Hajime's cheek with my own and held him close. My make-up was probably ruined from sobbing all day, but I didn't care. "You found yourself a wonderful girl, and I'm so proud of you!"

"Tohru," Kyo growled. "Must you?"

"But he's married now! Our baby's all grown up, and I couldn't be prouder of him. And look at how handsome he is! He reminds me of you when we got married."

"Do you really think so, Mom?" Hajime's voice squeaked and he pulled me in closer. "I'm only this amazing, and know how to include such fantastic people in my life, because of you and Dad. You truly are the best, Mom. I couldn't do any of this without you."

We started crying into each other's arms, and I only just barely heard Sawa-chan squeaking an "um" before I felt that head bonk. I pulled away from my son, and saw his blank expression as he also tried to comprehend what just happened.

"You two are pathetic, you know that, right?" Kyo shoved his hands into the pockets of his slacks. "It's not like we're never seeing him again, and it's not like we don't have other kids for you to dote on. Let the boy grow up, will ya?" He then grabbed Hajime's left bicep, and yanked him from my arms. In a swift motion he shoved our son on the back; just enough to push him into his wife. "That's the woman you should be smothering with hugs!"

"No, I get it," Sawa-chan joked, "I'll always be second-fiddle to Haa-chan's mother."

"Pfft, don't call me by that nickname." Hajime scoffed, but there was the same twinkle in his eye Kyo used to have whenever he tried to pretend he didn't appreciate my affection.

Sawa-chan didn't seem deterred, and she pulled him into a chaste kiss to lure him into a hug and quick dance.

"And as for you," Kyo came back over and placed his hand on the top of my head, palming it like a basketball. "Let the kids have their day, will ya? Come on, let's enjoy the party." He then started walking away, pulling me along by the head. It kept me a couple of hops to catch my balance, and after a few paces he shifted his hand from my scalp to my back. He gently directed me to a corner, where he kissed me, whispered to me how much the day reminded him of our wedding, and we danced to the slow song playing.

He had felt the same pain I did. That same longing for our little boy again. He couldn't handle Hajime being old enough to marry either. Yet he was strong, and he helped me stay strong that day as well. He let me know with that head tap that it wasn't the time to be sad. It was the time to look ahead at the wonderful life our son was about to start. A wonderful life that somehow lead to me getting frequent head bonks again.

"We're not going to have this battle every time, are we?" Sawa-chan arched her eyebrows as she looked over at Hajime.

"Sorry, dear, but I don't think it can really be helped. I mean, look at her?" Hajime gestured towards me cradling my granddaughter, my eyes overflowing with tears. "Would you want to give her up?"

"Kyo!" I whined, "Don't make me give her back! She's just too precious. Aren't you just in love? How could you not see her every day?"

"Tohru-san," Sawa-chan again reached for her daughter. "We really must be getting home to put her to bed. We'll visit more often, I promise."

I pulled her closer to me and smelled her hair. "I just need a few more minutes. Or you three could spend the night. We can make space for them, can't we, Kyo?" As I looked up at him I saw a small sneer as he swung to bonk me on the top of the head. It was the first one that hurt in decades.

"Don't be an idiot. She's their child and they can take her whenever they want. And our son is grown now, with his own house and own family. They don't need to stick around here if they prefer to be in their own beds tonight."

I sniffled and slowly gave my granddaughter back to Sawa-chan, who was cautiously watching Kyo. Hajime rested a hand on his wife's shoulder to re-focus her, and she accepted her baby girl. Then the kids gave me kind smiles, which helped ease the mild throbbing of where Kyo had hit me.

"Sorry. Kyo's right. I shouldn't have imposed on you."

"No problem, Mom. We appreciate that you love her so much." Hajime scooped his wife and daughter into his arms, and my heart swelled.

Kyo mimicked our son, pulling me into an embrace as he kissed where he hit my head. "It's alright to be selfish sometimes, but you can't be selfish about spending time with people, especially if it means kidnapping our grandkid."

In truth, I nearly 'kidnapped' – as Kyo put it – our granddaughter loads of times. It was just so hard to let her go. She was such a sweet dear. All of our grandchildren were, and I was getting quite a lumpy head from the amount of times Kyo had to knock me to remind me to give them back to their parents. I didn't mind it, though. I truly did miss that special connection that only came from Kyo's playful bops on the head. It wasn't terribly too long before our youngest grandchild was in junior high, and 'kidnappings' weren't as much of an issue. They were all old enough to leave of their own accord.

Still, Kyo discovered plenty of emotional moments to reprimand me: When our children each graduated from high school, and then college; when they each got married, and when they each had their first child; for every additional child they had; nearly every visit with our grandchildren; and the realizations of how old each grandchild was getting. One of the last, however, was when we had to move.

I sat out on our front porch, overlooking the hilltop scenery we've enjoyed for about fifty-years. It reminded me so much of Shigure-san's home, and all the happy memories I had there. Now, in this home Kyo and I had shared for our entire marriage, there were almost too many happy memories to recall them all. I let my mind wander as I watched the sunset, knowing I didn't have many more to enjoy from this vantage.

BONK!

Although the tap on my head didn't hurt, I still rubbed the spot with both hands. I looked over my shoulder and saw Kyo lowering himself to the porch, these days he took much greater care whenever he had to shift from standing to sitting and back again. A little grunt escaped his throat.

"You were daydreaming."

"S-sorry." I continued to rub where he tapped me.

"Daydreaming's fine, but you looked sad while doing so." He dusted his hands off on his pants, then rubbed his left knee.

"I'm sorry we have to move because of me." I straightened the blanket on my lap and watched as Kyo moved to massage his left ankle.

"Tohru, we're old, it happens. I'd much rather we move in with one of the kids instead of you straining to get up that hill every day. It doesn't matter to me that we're moving, as long as you're comfortable and we're together."

"You don't seem to have much difficulty with the hill."

"I also work out far more routinely and with more intensity than you. It kept my muscles strong. You're seventy-three; it's not a shame that you can't climb up a hundred steps each day."

"I just hate the idea of leaving our memories behind; abandoning our castle like this."

I heard another grunt as Kyo shifted so he was kneeling beside me instead of sitting. With a swift swing and a pull-back last second, he once more rapped my head gently with the back of his hand. He then pulled my head to his shoulder so he could run his fingers through my hair.

"My sweet idiot. You think we can't pack up the memories with us? Did you forget your mom once you had to leave your apartment? Did you forget your months living out of a tent? Are you having difficulties recalling life with your grandfather, or any of the time you spent getting to know me and the other Zodiacs?"

"N-no."

"The memories don't live here." He gestured to the house behind us. "Memories live here-" He rested his index finger on my chest, right where my heart would sit. "-and here." He again tapped on my head. "And don't think for an instant that I'll allow you to forget."

I rested my head on his shoulder and re-focused on the sunset. "Thank you, Kyo. Hey, Kyo?"

"Hmm?"

"You think it's alright if I daydream some more? It's such a lovely evening for it."

"Yeah, you idiot. You can zone out all you want. I'm here." He pulled me in for a kiss on my temple, and he grunted once more as he settled back into a lounge beside me. As we snuggled and enjoyed the orange glow of the sunset, my mind wandered to pleasant thoughts. Such as needing Kyo to bonk me on the head.

What would prevent you from following someone? Not trigger-tagging, or not using cuts for ns//fw scenes. (I have really intense emet*phobia, so if you don't tag for that, or won't tag for it upon request, I absolutely cannot follow. Savior catches most posts for me, even if they're not tagged, but there are just So Many Euphemisms and Various Ways to Describe It that it only works 75% of the time.)

Are aesthetics important to you? If they are, why? As far as blog theme, not really-- I just like fiddling around to find something that evokes their General Vibe, and seeing what themes other muns like! I won't judge by them though. When it comes to thread aesthetics, I actually prefer to leave them utterly unformatted and plain-text as possible. I have ADHD and Fancy Unicode and Symbols and All That makes it really hard for me to focus on what's going on in the thread, not to mention I don't have the attention span to match another mun's Styling like that. (Also, fun fact: I always have my Tumblr Dash at 75% zoom, and Dove’s theme already has text at a Very Readable Size, so nothing ever needs to be Smallified for me.)

What current rp trend do you hate? I don't think there are any I "hate", though I get confused on all the Different Verses that everyone has. (In all my years of writing fanfic, I've only ever written Exactly One (1) AU, and I never read them outside of rp. AUs just aren't my thing.)

How do you explain rp to someone in the real world? "Taking turns writing what the characters are doing." Everyone afk has been pretty supportive. (They all know I'm a writer, so like... it's Nothing New.)

Do you prefer interacting with male muses or female more? Why? I genuinely don't care either way! Guy, gal, nonbinary pal: as long as they're fun to write with, I don't mind a bit. (And Dove has no preference, either.)

Do you prefer writing male muses or female more? Why? Statistically, I have 3 female muses (4 if we count Evangeline as her own person and not just A Part of Dove Manifested)... and only 1 male. (And technically, both Srentha and Leyla are genderqueer, so it's really only Dove and Kary that are cis women.) But that's not intentional? Evangeline is feminine because Dove is feminine, and Kary was originally my girlfriend's-- if she was a male I still would've hardcore adopted him. It just kind of worked out that way. I just enjoy writing people, not gender roles.

Name any three things about the rpc that bother you. 1.) The aforementioned Verse Thing. (It doesn't really bother me, I'm just easily confused by Similar-Except-Vaguely-Different Things due to the ADHD.) 2.) Some people still don't know that godmodding isn't okay. 3.) The distaste for OCs??? I guess that doesn't exactly "bother" me either, because people are allowed to have preferences... but, I mean, I spent several years active in, and then Actually Running, a group of 1300 members on dA completely DEDICATED to OCs, and it was a blast, so I just don't understand why people don't like rping with them as much as canon characters. I personally find OCs more satisfying to explore, more surprising in every thread because you just don't know what to expect, and you have a LOT more freedom for plotting and reactions! Like! You can Shed the Constraints of Canon and Revel in your Newfound OC-Based Freedom!! Truly Become your Character's GOD!!!

What is your opinion on exclusivity? Do you practice it? Why / why not? Nah, I love the variety different muns can bring to the same muse! Other people can stay exclusive if they like. Being an OC mun, it doesn't exactly affect me. 8F

Have you ever had a bad experience with commissions? As either someone who makes them or as someone who buys them? (I don't really know how this pertains to RP?) But there was one time when someone gave me a really vague commission request, out of the blue, for a fandom I know absolutely nothing about, and just kept saying things like "Whatever you think they'd do!" when I asked for plot, characterization, or preference details... I never finished it because I Didn't Even Know how to START.

What do you know now about rp that you wish you knew when you first started? The reply doesn't have to be perfect. Or dramatic, even. Not every reply is going to shatter someone's heart or absolutely make their day. And that's perfectly okay!

Have you been involved in drama? Do you regret it? Nnnnot on Tumblr. (There was a LOT of drama amongst admins of the dA group, which strongly attributed to the decline of me RPing on dA, but I definitely do not regret standing up for myself. I do wish I'd been able to foresee it, though, and brought someone else on staff who was actually going to, you know, do the job they applied for?)

Have you ever thought about leaving rp? What caused it? What changed your mind? Never! Well not on Tumblr anyways. There was a period where my favorite partners were all going inactive, and I couldn't find anyone who wanted to interact with Dove, so of course I was despairing, wondering if I'd ever get to explore what I wanted to explore with her. But then I decided, you know what, so what if I can't find any canon Titans to advance her Tumblr timeline? I'll just fill in the blanks with fanfic canon, and work from there! Making that decision was so freeing.

Do you think rp has had a positive or negative affect on your life or you as a person? Oh, positive, absolutely. I may be too busy to really attend to it much nowadays, but my writing style has improved DRAMATICALLY, I've made so many friends, and I've learned things about Dove that I never would've discovered in the stories alone. (Or at least, it might've been discovered on a ten-year delay. 8F)

How has rp changed you personally? I was able to find fast friends, make connections with people over common interests, and my very first experience with leadership happened because I hung around a TTOC dA chatroom (because, specifically, I’d gotten ADDICTED to rp), came to love the people and characters, and decided, when the current admins had to step down, I would like to step up.

If you could change one thing about rp on tumblr, what would it be? Why? I'd like tags to stop breaking, that'd be nice. (But that’s an issue with Tumblr itself, not the rps.)

Have you ever sent a message to yourself on anon? Why? Pff, no. Mostly because if I really want something to happen, I'll either post an open, OR I'll do what I'm doing here, and just answer the questions myself. 8F I have a lot of fun doing this with headcanon question lists.

Have you ever sent hate to yourself on anon? Why? No, but that's because I'm all about learning (+spreading) positive self-talk, de-escalation, and avoiding drama. Drama doesn't serve anyone.

Do you delete anon hate or post and address it? Why? I address it and then block the sender, because I want everyone to know I don't stand for that. And I have this stubborn streak about standing up for myself, so, you know... Gotta Address It First. (And I've defended Dove from Mary Sue accusations since I started posting about her in 2006, so it doesn't bother me, but I love pointing out all the reasons that, Jack Rider voice: You Are Wrong!)

Have you ever felt pressured to write something you weren’t comfortable with? Nope, but that's because if I can't or don't want to, I'm open and transparent about it. (Not on Tumblr, anyways. There was one particular person in the dA chats that kept trying to make RPs All About His Muse, but we shut that down too.)

Have you ever followed someone because you felt like you had to, not because you wanted to? Hell no! I've never Automatically Followed Back, and it's right there in my rules, I need a little communication before I start interacting.

What would make you block someone? Anon hate, reblogging/replying to rps that don't involve them, starting their own rps on my posts, Bad Takes in the Tags, shipping something I genuinely can't stand... I use the block button pretty liberally. I just don't need that stuff in my life, in my tags, or on my dash.

Have you ever stolen something from someone else? Well I have adopted a couple of headcanons re: Canon Characters from the teentitansheadcanons blog. (Like hc that, one time, Beast Boy was a bug and someone almost squished him, so now they put all the bugs outside, just in case. I love that for some reason, so I adopted it.) And every now and again I'll see something in fanfic I like: Azarath Has Two Suns, I saw that in a fanfic and it just felt so RIGHT, so I adopted that too. But, I mean, rping as an OC, there's really not a lot I can steal. 8F

Have you ever had something stolen from you? If so, how did you handle it? Not on Tumblr, but somebody once stole a picture of Srentha from dA and used it in a random webs-page blog about their dreams? ??? I have no idea why they used him, or how they even fOUND him, but I kinda just shrugged and let it go.

Are you open to duplicates? Why / why not? (Isn't this basically the same question as "are you exclusive"? Because I have the same answer. I am, because I like seeing other muns' interpretations of the same character.)

How do you feel about vague posting? Use your own judgement for your own blog, but it's not something I do myself. If I have to vaguepost to vent something, I'll usually go on a more private blog, or at least stick it under a Read More.

Do you follow people even if they don’t follow you back? Yes! I like reading rps almost as much as I like writing them.

Do you read people’s rules before following or interacting? Always.

What is your opinion on “reblog karma” and do you practice it? I try to! Sometimes I can't figure out what to send in for the blog I get in from, but most of the time, I'll send something any time I reblog something. I really appreciate it when people send something in before reblogging from me, personally. c: (I get it if you can’t or don’t want to. But it sure is nice!)

How have you responded to popular slang used on tumblr? Do you use it in every day life? Do you use it at all? Not really, but I rarely use slang at all. Unless I'm actually talking about rp, muses, muns, etc, then I'll use those words.

Is there something you don’t know the meaning of but you haven’t asked anyone because you think it’s supposed to be general knowledge? Was there ever something you had to ask someone to explain? I'm that Ravenclaw who always asks questions as soon as I encounter I don't know, and I don't use words without knowing what they mean. Kinda defeats the purpose of words that way.

Have you ever experienced discrimination? Well, Dove has, since people have that "I don't like OCs" mindset. Or "she's related to a canon character, so she's automatically a Mary Sue". It's not as big of a Discrimination as sexism or racism, don't get me wrong! But it HAS limited our scope of interaction, and I personally think it’s a little unfair to make judgments like that.

How do you feel about personal blogs following your rp blog? Go for it.

Have you ever cried while writing a reply? Mmmmaybe once? More often my heartrate just raises a little in an exciting moment, or I write out a ten-paragraph response in a one-hour fit of delighted manic wordsmithing, but I've definitely been touched. (I'm just... not very good at crying when I'm focused on writing. 8F)

Do you read other people’s threads or do you only read your own? There's definitely a bias towards my own! (Before my EHD died, I had about a hundred and fifty rps saved as word documents.) But I also enjoy reading others' threads.

What’s one thing that other people seem to hate that doesn’t bother you? Hmm...Spelling and grammatical errors. When I was copying chat rps to word docs, I started editing the replies for readability, and that habit kinda transferred to Tumblr, so when I'm not in a hurry, or I have an Unusually Long Attention Span, when I copy the replies, sometimes I'll just edit them, but I'm not mad about it. Just got into that habit.

How do you feel about tagging triggers? Do you tag them? How do you determine what is triggering content and what isn’t? It is absolutely ESSENTIAL for me to have triggers tagged for ME, so of course I extend the same courtesy to others. I don't presume to know what triggers people; I've made it very clear that if anyone needs something tagged, they just have to ask, and I'll tag it. No questions asked. (Though if they want to vent about it, I'm open to that too.)

What advice would you give to someone new to rp? Just GO for it! I know it can be scary and intimidating and overwhelming to see a great writer and think, "Gosh I want to interact with them So Much".. .and you know what, sometimes you will get rejected. Sometimes you just won't mesh with muns. Sometimes your characters don't have a very exciting dynamic. But you'll never find those Goldmine RP Partners if you don't at least ASK.
