he basically came onto the smp and immediately got tossed headfirst into the plot on the second day. and this kid handled it with grace. he spends his third day mining and stuff and he? he spent it talking to his chat about lore and his character and stuff?? UM?? homeboy went ‘yeah, i looked through the ranboo tag and found headcanons that i liked and incorperated them into my character lore and backstory’ LOOK AT HIM!!!

do you know how LONG it took tommy to have any SEMBLANCE of a ROLEPLAY CHARACTER??? mans popped in and went ‘im the dungeon master now.’ and im HERE FOR IT!!

him being part of the fandom?? he’s like a living, breathing (y/n) rn, his story is the plot of so many reader inserts out there lets be real alright. and that means that he’s gonna be asking the questions we all want answered!! him asking if wilbur’s mom being a fridge meant that fridges were canon in the lore not only SENT ME it was also like??? yeah?? this is a fantasy type setting wilbur how? and he ASKED!!! and people LISTENED!! because he’s actually THERE!!!!! this man is OUR REPRESENTATIVE!!!

him defining the lines between in-character and out-of-character to his chat, emphazising the fact that this is a roleplay to the point of him almost visibly changing when he’s in character is,,,,mmmmm chef’s kiss. and there’s SO MUCH LORE TO HIS CHARACTER ALREADY??? MEMORY LOSS?? HALF ENDERMAN HALF UNKNOWN??? CROWN ACTUALLY HAVING SOME SORT OF EMOTIONAL IMPORTANCE TO HIM?? SOMETHING ACTUALLY CAUSING HIS MEMORY LOSS??????? mans’ chat goes LORE? LORE POG??? LORE DROP? every time he mentions his character’s backstory!! he’s basically WILBUR at this point!!

he reads the wiki, he sees the headcanons, he knows the lore front and back, this mfer is going to be keeping everyone in line when it comes to canon, he’s gonna be up in their face with a god damn notebook going, ‘well, actually, according to the lore, your character asdjkjafedjk’ I CANNOT WAIT!!

and him last night?? making his little journal of things he remembered from the day? hoh my gosh it was adorable. character!ranboo is,,,so soft,,i mean person ranboo is soft ofc but character!ranboo is just a delicate little flower whom i love dearly...he sounds so happy to be there and get along with evveryone, just....mwah.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?? he stared his chat DEAD IN THE EYES and told them that METAGAMING (YES, HE USED THE TERM METAGAMING!!!!) was NOT POG!! he said that he sees it, he knows what they’re saying or whatever, but he’s keeping the shit that he knows seperate from what his character knows, and that it’s better for chat to not say things at all!!

SOMEONE FINALLY CALLED IT WHAT IT IS!!! he like, defined the term metagaming for everyone, explained it, and explained why it was bad i love him i stan i askdnaksdk

i keep going back to this but him having his own character so well-defined and perfect like. i can clearly tell when he’s roleplaying and when he’s not and it isn’t like awkward or anything, it’s just that good, there’s a whole-ass character made for it!! he’s so soff,,,,i wuv,,,he’s just there to vibe he’s a curious lil boy i justjkwjasdfddakj my heart MELTS for him i just i just i hadahsdjaksdmkw

his plan for the presidency? he has my vote i repeat, HE HAS MY VOTE!!! LET NIKI AND TECHNO (and ranboo but now he has a good mic so people will prolly listen to him) TALK!!! PUNT TOMMY!! MAKE ERET A KING AGAIN!!! THIS MAN LITERALLY IS PART OF THE FANDOM, HE’S JUST DOING WHAT WE ALL WANT!!! LOOK AT HIM GO!!

in conclusion, ranboo is great. i can’t wait for him to get even deeper into the plot, from what i’ve seen, his roleplaying abilities are pretty pog already, and barely anything has happened. mans played dnd, i have no doubt in my mind that he’s gonna give us some banger quotes for the animatics. ;)
