I just got jumpscared by a mob called Corrupted Grian on the Wynncraft minecraft server. I wasn't able to get a screenshot b/c I didn't register the name until after I had killed the mob. I've been standing in the area hoping to get another one to spawn, but no luck. So I went to the wiki XD (there was another one called "Corrupted Jumla" but I didn't recognize their name)

It would also explain why I sorta recognized the name Grian, b/c I've been off and on playing Wynncraft for about 3 years now

Long, long ramble under the cut:

A bit of backstory: I started Wynn back in 2015 and stopped shortly after the gavel update; recently, I decided to give everything a try again from a new class and very quickly got hooked. All the builds are so good?? There’s so much character and detail put into every building? Don’t get me started on the discoveries,,, the first time I stumbled upon a secret discovery my mouth fell open. There’s so much lore hidden in plain sight. Wynn now really feels like there’s thousands of years of history hidden just beneath the surface and I love it so so much.

Each build has so much depth too? From the few cities I’ve seen every city has its own distinct style and architecture—Ragni as a classic stronghold, deltas looking like a trading hub with its vibrant colours, alekin with its treehouses. Each city even has their own sense of fashion I’m just in awe of everything.

And the quests. THE QUESTS. They’re all so polished and full of character. The NPCs are in turns funny and infuriating and helpful and don’t get me started on aledar and tasim (i love them your honour). It’s so nice to be able to have a few recurring characters support you through Wynn. Special shoutout goes to general graken in nemract because I, too, do not understand half the words that come out of his mouth. I am insane over this server and I’m clawing at the walls and the way I cope is to make a classic wynnOC. He has no name but he has lore.

I barely remember anything from my first playthrough—all I remember are the main plot points. There’s some sort of corruption, and decay, and the portals and heliolux get involved at some point? I think. Either way I’m so excited to see how the devs have expanded on the story so far

TLDR: Wynncraft is amazing, I’m losing my mind over it, and I need to scream about this server to whoever will listen

AND THAT IN TURN LEADS IT TO BE MORE STABLE WHEN STORING SAID MAGIC, BUT IT STILL NEEDS TO LET IT OUT, SO WHENEVER ANYONE INTERACTS WITH THE WALLS OR THE FLOORS, BE IT MY STEPPING OR TOUCHING:

IMAGINE THE FIRST TIME YOU WALK IN LLEVIGAR, THROUGH TGE GATES, AND WHEREVER YOU WALK THE GROUND LIGHTS UP AND YOU SOFTLY TOUCH THE WALL TO SEE IT ALSO LIGHTS UP AND IF YOU GLIDE YOUR HAND THROUGH IT YOU CAN SEE A TRAIL OF GOLDEN LIGHT FORMING BEHIND YOU BEFORE IT SLOWLY FADES AWAY!!!!!!!!!

IMAGINE THE EXTRA CHARM LLEVIGAR WOULD GAVE, WHERE IT BOTH SHINES DURING THE DAY WITH THE EMERALDS CASTING GREEN REFLECTIONS EVERYWHERE, AND DURING THE NIGHTTIME WITH EVERYONE WALKING AROUND AND LIGHTING UP THE WHOLE PLACE!!!!!!!

i've always viewed the wynncraft characters under the lens of like dnd races and classes and stuff. so like in my mind Tasim has always been the most generic human fighter character and Aledar has always been the most generic warhammer wielding dwarf character. probably because every SINGLE time i see Aledar my brain is like "oh my god. Gimli lord of the rings" because i LOVE Gimli and look at them. tell me these aren't the same motherfuckers

The most consistent thing in Wynncraft is that the Player Character is kind of an idiot. And honestly, I kinda love that. Like, yeah it can be kinda frustrating that the game is forcing you to make stupid decisions but also its so funny. Stupid protagonists can be really fun.

Not funny enough to make me forgive Jungle Fever, though. Fuck Jungle Fever all my homies hate Jungle Fever. (my problem with Jungle Fever isn't the PC grabbing the idiot ball hard its that fucking maze with all the iron golems).

Class:Mage (most likely riftbender archetype)

Skyris is a traveling songstress, but she wasn’t always one to begin with. Being the daughter of a captain back in Detlas,her teens were spent training to be a soldier.But years later, she decided that being a part of the army wasn’t for her.

Skyris always had a love for singing and writing her own songs. After leaving the army , she became a traveling songstress, hoping her music will bring joy and even raise the morale of others. She wasn’t alone, as Altair, Cyrus, Tavaris and Adrian tagged along with her. The five of them traveled through Wynn and Gavel. Despite traveling with a group it doesn't mean there wasn't any hardships, one night,her and the others almost fell to a sudden ambush of corrupteds. They fought for their lives, Skyris fighting alongside Tavaris to make an opening for the group to escape and eventually they did. It was a night survived, a moment that Skyris and the others will remember.

Though, the group would have one more event that still affects them to this day. Tavaris, one of Skyris’s closest friends since youth and fiancé, was severely injured during a mission of theirs. Skyris stayed by his side, taking care and healing him to make sure he survives, making sure that he stays with her a bit more.

One day when Skyris came back from a supply run, she and the others were met with an empty bed. No signs of Tavaris. No letters. Some personal items are missing. He was gone. Skyris broke down that day, running rampant to nearby areas TRYING to find him. But she didn’t…her love was gone. The others and eventually her, believed that Tavaris didn't want to pass in front of them and went off to do it on his own terms.

It took her years to heal from that day,from Tavaris…

Years later, she decides to give herself another shot at being in a relationship,perhaps… It was time to move on . During a time in Gavel, a certain soldier caught her fancy, It was Elphaba. The two of them didn't get along at first ,which led to a bit of rivalry. Skyris enjoys this , messing and teasing Elphaba any chance she gets, only because she wants to see her again. Eventually the two get to talking and actually get to know each other. Putting their little rivalry in the past, they get into a relationship . Skyris is glad to have a partner to love , though at the back of her mind she hopes the same thing doesn't happen again.

•Skyris is the one that thought Electra how to tailor clothes

•Don’t let her looks fool you as she can be quite the scary one to deal with if you’re not on her good side

•Likes to make fun of Altair whenever she gets the chance

•Her staff is based off of Robin’s( from HSR) mic

•Lowkey would be the type of person to sing the most beautiful ballads and then listen to music the complete opposite to that. Deadass would listen to heavy metal

just got through Dullahan’s backstory in Wynncraft… This shit fucjs… Unfortunately Dullahan is exactly the kind of character that I love… Tragic emo guy with Love and Hate and bearer of a curse… And the ending?!!!

Well spoilers I guess

The way the quest ends.., That you only see the door to the room he’s been imprisoned in for the past hundreds of years and there’s nothing that can be done with it… And his face and current form is left unseen and up to the imagination of the viewer… This effect is so raw dude

Also I want to throw Lari to the moon. I mean I guess in a good way. What an infuriating character. But her stammering and stuttering is a bit too much. It’s insane how stubborn she is. She has quite literally not done anything successfully in like a thousand years and her lover begs her to use her powers to do the right thing but she still feels she’s smarter and can create a miracle.

FUUUCK man. There’s a point where you gotta let go of your pride I think. Elves be like “Hmm… Should I change my approach?…. Let me think about this…” and make you wait 1000 years

as for servers if you mean like, actual multiplayer servers to play on? then uhh hypixel is a classic (and the hive if you're a bedrock user), and i played on rsmv too but it was mainly for XRun lol. wynncraft looks really cool as well though sadly i haven't had the time to invest in it- from what i've heard it's like an mmorpg with custom bosses/weapons but is completely vanilla so if that's your thing i'd definitely give it a go

if you meant smp servers to watch then ofc hermitcraft and life series hfjdbk, or empires for more story-driven content!

.basically ferry's story follows the events of wynncraft really closely with barely any deviation, save for some details! the best way to describe ferry at the beginning is "v1 from ultrakill mixed with us fucking around and the drifter from hyper light drifter", that description of it's character still rings true but with added experience and growth from what it witnessed and went through. .to understand why it acts certain ways at some points you have to know that it is. literally. technically. only a few months old. it only existed for a few months! it trully became alive in the wagon from fruma to the wynn border! the first people it saw and heard were aledar and tasim! sure it has the body and mind of a young adult but even then it's still incredibly young comparing to any other characters, both in age and experience. which is also the reasoning for why the memory orb in recover the past quest reacted that way to it, there's LITERALLY nothing for it to uncover, they're asking for the impossible. .from this segment it leads pretty well into another, "what do you mean ferry only became alive at the wynn border?" well, it's not exactly human. the closest shortest description of it's species is "homonculus" and even then it's not correct. since the traditional homonculi are made out of clay or similar. what ferry is made out of is flesh and metal. sort of similar to iron guards. but not. as with iron guards the people are still there within, just.... beneath tons and tons of layers of metal. and even then you wouldnt just simply find a villager body inside. anyways enough of that. if iron golems are "reuse" then ferry is "recycle". it wasn't made from one single body, so in a way its muscles and flesh and everything that falls under tha category are in some way unique. what about the metal parts? it's not exactly as simple as how iron guards are composed. where there is somewhat of a clear line between the two. in ferry's case flesh and metal, organic and inorganic blend so well that at certain points you can't even tell where one begins and where one ends! or which is which! the clearest distinction is its "mask", which is actually just it's face. the face plates can be removed with a bit of fiddling (however they will still be connected with "flesh tendrils", to make sure that it doesnt LOOSE its face), which is how it can eat. it doesnt really have a mouth, or well it does but it doesnt exactly have teeth or anything to chew with. so it's sort of bound to only eating soft foods (what the army cooks serve, it also calls whatever it eats from them as "soldier slop" affectionately). in similar vein it is quite hypermobile, it's joints loose and out of wack. projecting our chronic pain onto it. also the front of its throat is translucent so that you can watch whats happening inside, as a treat ^_^

."okay but who the fuck made this thing?" nobody knows! as far as everyones concerned ferry is human! a weird as shit human but human nontheless! even if that's incorrect! only folks who know are death (calls it human since IT doesnt know that it's not), orphion (doesnt give a shit what species his pulse is, he likes it either way), maxie (look he figured out ava in like under five minutes. he spent way much time with ferry than he did with ava. he most definently knows just didn't know how to like.. approach that specific topic. he doesn't care that ferry is whatver it is, he only cares when medical stuff is involved [he wants his friend to be okay]) and the medic maxie hired for ferry during the feathers fly part 2 quest. lari came CLOSE after sensing ferry in the realm of light but just didn't have the time or place to fully process that and ask ferry about it, more important things were happening. back to the original topic, no one knows. someone in fruma did however. how ferry even came to the border is a mystery. only certain thing is that it was made for war, that it is a living weapon, judging by its behaviour and instincts. was it made out of rebellion (magic is forbidden in fruma after all!), was it made out of hope for a better future (so that things like ferry are mass produced and that the convicts stop basically being death sentenced to wynn)? no clue! it just exists and will continue to exist if orphion and death have a say in it (which they do).

.okay just read this over and realized that that is NOT a summary of its story that is an essay on it's nature gjfdklgjldfg .so uh, yeah it's story follows the events really closely and it really likes it's friends (lari, maxie, olon, seaskipper, aledar, tasim, axelus, afelis and the orcs [ava and korzim not included as it wants to give ava space and it doesnt know korzim all that well, on the account of avoiding molten heaights after the questlines end. it is NOT good with grief])
