good morning how's it going can you infodump about nick stokes pls and thank u ok thanks bye
Good morning it's good so far and just got better because I can ALWAYS infodump about Nick Stokes. He just has such a heart of gold. He's had so many reasons from childhood and adulthood to lose faith in humanity but he chooses to be good and try to help whoever he can. "No investigation for the dead is worth hurting the living." Nobody who is right and good should suffer to help him. He empathizes with the victims and their families in ways most csis try to avoid. But that's who he is. It's how he has to do his job
When we first meet him he's eager, excited to get ahead, frustrated at being held back but he's still 100% a team player who cares about his guys, almost landing him a promotion once but we won't get into that. He's proud of what he does but he also wants to be able to go about his job without being the center of attention.
Through it all, his team, his family are always most important. He has their back through thick and thin, and has quite literally jumped off metaphorical bridges with a couple of them. And if somebody dares to try to hurt any of them, there will be hell to pay (and almost death in that one case. And also the fact that he was the first one to have the nerve to accuse the undersheriff of being dirty. No fear. Love to see it). He has a strong belief in justice, almost driving him to quit when the department was looking shady again. But he also believes in closure. The families deserve it, no matter what the case and the outcome are. He's gone to a funeral where he was unwanted, breaking his fractured heart again. But he still saved everyone there, waving his gun at a yard full of cops because he can stand up to them, he's right there among them. He enjoys packing heat, getting the bad guy. Protecting his family. He jumps into leadership when its asked of him and in a crisis.
But even later on when he comes off stronger, more jaded, more badass, there's still nerves to be hit. He still feels, empathizes because he knows what they've been through and sometimes he can honestly say he would've committed the same terrible act in their shoes. Because he understands the trauma but never let it define him. He moves on as best he can every time, even trying to help the woman who's father put him in a literal grave. But he'll still always carry all those scars with him, ready to come to the surface at any moment.
He has such a hard time leaving that family he's created for a career opportunity, but he will always love them, knows they'll always love him and they all know he'd make a damn good lab director.
Tl;dr: I love Nick and his compassion and his badassery and his love for his family and his fight for everything he believes in despite it all

There was supposed to be a Grissom x Lady Heather kiss!!
“We didn’t know if Billy would go through with it”
And then he DIDN’T
Wonderful stuff. Obsessed with how much Billy and Jorja drove the scenes in spite of the writers, honestly
How HIGH Jorja’s voice is in these seasons is incredible. She’s so little 😭
