#I GOT FEELINGS

Okay, but. Seriously. DYWTYLM is one of my favorite fucking songs (Sleep Token as a band is insane, holyfuck?) and applying it to Osvald and Partitio made me love it ... all the more. Osvald has so many reasons to hold back when it comes to loving anyone or anything. He is on a journey of revenge and he sure as shit (in the beginning) doesn't care if he comes out of it whole. And then he meets Partitio Yellowil. Is there something you give that you will never receive in return? Do you know what it is? This is about Partitio, 100%. This man travels the world and gives everyone he meets a silver coin and Osvald watches this and understands that Partitio meets people and he gives a little of himself away to them. He adores them --- almost everyone he meets. Partitio loves to help people. He loves others so quickly and wholely that he wants to see them happy, he wants to see them thrive, even if it just means he pops in and fixes a problem and then goes off on his merry way.

And are you trying to live like everything is a lesson to learn? Can you ever forgive (YOURSELF?) Do you wish that you loved me?

Now it's time, obviously, for Osvald. Every encounter with this man is actually him studying; he is studying the world and how it works he is studying magic which is in everything, everywhere one looks. The answer to The One True Magic could be anywhere and Osvald is looking but in the process, he is also struggling with what happened. With his family. With himself. He wonders if Partitio wishes he could love him because ... at first it honestly feels like Osvald is the ONLY PERSON that Partitio has met and couldn't outright fix with a coin. Is loving him the way Partitio loves other people and the world even possible, given what he is? This man has such issues with self-worth, with needing to heal. He literally has his answers he just doesn't know how to find them.

And my reflection just won't smile back at me like I know it should. And I would turn into a stranger in an instant if I could. There is something eating me alive, I don't know what it is. Maybe not that you conceal your feelings; They just don't exist.

More Osvald. More of knowing he used to be a different person, he used to come home and announce himself and be adored and it's not there anymore. Something is missing and cannot be replaced. And oh, if possible, he would become nobody and fade out and be forgotten --- by this group of travelers but by Partitio especially. Something is eating at him. It's that FIRE in him he constantly talks about but he thinks that Partitio wants nothing to do with it, that he won't risk so much as singing his gloves where Osvald's hands have scarred. This whole song --- I COULD DO THIS TO THE WHOLE SONG. I just have so many fucking FEELINGS about them. And you are gonna see them because I need to write them out or I will perish thank you.
