Yes they totally do! They have movie nights and watch cheesy romcoms and watch shojou romance anime marathons whenever they have sleepovers! Sometimes they'll be so caught up in the media they're watching they'll forget Abt the other and just start bawling or yelling at the screen or sum shit and the other has to shut them up bc THEY'RE GETTING TO THE GOOD PART SHUT UP AND LET ME HEAR YOU IDIOT! and they also stuff their faces with snacks and junk food and that's the only time Chiyo lets herself indulge (lies). Oh sometimes a scene will stick with them they'll even act it out like at any given moment. The scene will just pop into their mind and one of them will approach the other spouting some cheesy lines from the show and the other immediately understands what's happening and follows. Like imagine Toritsuka just talking to the psychickers and suddenly Chiyo matches up to him and slaps the shit outta him and he's about to be like Chiyo wtf?! But then she's like I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WERE CHEATING ON ME... WITH MY TWIN SISTER! and then Tori immediately connects the dots and gets on his knees like BABE IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK- and they make this whole big ruckus in the middle of the cafeteria. And this is like not even while they're dating they're just best friends and share one braincell and everyone questions their relationship. And also nobody gets any of their references so they end up having an even worse opinion on Tori like GASP HE WAS SAYING CHIYO? AND HE CHEATED ON HER?? WITH HER TWIN SISTER??? SHE HAD A SISTER?? but when Tori tries to clear up the mess nobody believes him bc he's tori. OMG WAIT SO THE PERFECT LIKE SORTA EXAMPLE FOR WHAT IM TALKING ABT IS THAT GIRL FROM BIG TIME RUSH WHO HAD THIS THING GOING ON WITH LOGAN? YEAH THAT'S LIKE BASICALLY CHIYO AND TORI DO U UNDERSTAND?????????

“-and that's why I ain't allowed in Pier Point no more!” Boothill throws his head back and cackles, somehow completely comfortable on the bare floor of the archives. He's the very picture of ease, his arms behind his head, his legs bent and crossed.

Dan Heng barely looks up from his notebook, not much surprises him anymore after the first few tales of lawless exploits. “So they really have that many laws and restrictions there.” 

“And prob’ly a few more now that I've been through there! Heck, ya think they named any after me? I'm hopin’ so.” There's so much smug cockiness seeping through his voice Dan Heng could bottle it.

Silence settles in, stretches out. Dan Heng doodles pensive circles in the corner of his page.

He shouldn't ask. It's a private matter. It's none of his business. He of all people should know-

Something pokes his shoe, and when he looks up, Boothill has stretched one arm up to tap metallic fingertips against his foot. “Ain't like ya to hesitate.” With his head tipped back on the tiles and gazing at him upside down, Boothill's hair is out of his face and spooling out all over the floor, offering a rare view of his right side. His right eye is sealed over with a pitch-black patch, stark against his skin. Dan Heng wonders what he looks like behind it. “C'mon, then, out with it. Spill the beans, brother, just say it.”

“What does ‘Boothill’ mean?”

The man blinks at him, the crosshair in his cybernetic left eye flickering. Dan Heng shifts, smooths out his long coat. “I tried to look it up once. It's not in any database as a name...other than your wanted posters.” There's a thread beginning to fray near the hem, he should sew it up. “I couldn't find it anywhere.” 

He nearly takes it back, but- “Heh, ya that curious about me, darlin’?”

Dan Heng quickly levels his face into the most impassive, nonplussed expression he can muster, but Boothill has already turned away, head pillowed on his arms and face once again turned to the ceiling.

“But nah, ya wouldn't. Hah, like they'd allow any record of the language, fudgeheads.” One arm sweeps around blindly until it finds the edge of Boothill's hat, sets it back where it belongs on his head. Dan Heng shuffles around, scoots a little closer, but the brim is pulled too low to see his eyes anymore.

“It's ‘cause it's not a name. It's a noun.” All that's visible of his face is a sharp grin, pulled too tight at the edges.

“It's my people's word for a grave.”

Dan Heng's pencil stops.

“It's the kinda grave fer someone who died with their boots on. If ya catch my drift there.” Boothill's foot starts to bounce. “There was a war, and it got reeeeeal intense, yup. Folks started droppin’ like flies, ‘n’ there was bodies faster'n what we could bury ‘em.” A cooling fan kicks on somewhere. Dan Heng is pretty sure it's not any of the Express equipment.

“We lost some real good people there, real good. Mighty shame.” His hidden Vidyadhara ears detect a quiet metallic click, a whir, pressurized gas. Boothill's next words waft steam from his angry circuits into the air. “When I left, I decided to leave my name there, too. Didn't feel right otherwise. The life I lead now is a whole ‘nother existence.” And then Boothill turns his head, raises his hat, and Dan Heng suddenly feels pinned dead center, caught in that crosshair.

“Ya know what I mean, don'tcha?”

Dan Heng swallows.

Does Boothill know? Who he is and who came before him? There had been that moment in the Penacony Grand Theater, after he activated the Jade Abacus… Dan Heng had tried to shoo him out, keep him from seeing anything, but Boothill has the astounding ability to turn up exactly wherever people are trying to keep him away from.

If he did see, does he actually understand it? Does he know what a High Elder is? Does he know about the sedition of Imbibitor Lunae, the transmutation arcanum, everything Dan Feng had done and Dan Heng was punished for?

He doesn't want to explain it all. Not now. Possibly not ever, truth be told.

And it's not the same as Boothill leaving behind his old identity when whatever event happened that caused him to leave home. Not really. But…

But so far, Boothill has slid so easily into Dan Heng’s routine. His presence never feels like an intrusion. He's already figured out what he can push and when to back down. And even Dan Heng finds himself able to roll with whatever punches Boothill throws with baffling ease. They share too much in their methods and ideologies, and sometimes Dan Heng knows what Boothill will do seemingly before even Boothill himself knows.

“...Tell me about Talia and the Nailscrap Town.” Boothill must know he's avoiding the topic. He must. But the man just throws his head back and cackles, melting easily back into what they had been doing before, as he speaks fondly of a planet that Dan Heng has never visited.

Not today. But.

Dan Heng inches just a little closer, just enough to nudge his foot against a metal leg. Boothill doesn't pull away.

Maybe someday.

Thank you so much!^^ and yes I do as always lol (Also hi I'm just gonna use this ask to post my headcanons of the Captains/Elite Trio in general, admittedly, it's because I don't really have much to say on the elite trio and I was gonna share my hcs on all of these guys anyways)

General Hcs

They all learned their lesson to not betray Bowser again since they realized even if he knew they completely betrayed him, he still gave them a second chance, and no one else would ever give them that type of mercy. They all loyal fr fr now...and it's mostly because they can't run away from being Jr’s sparring partners for life either. He always tracks them down somehow.

Moving on to the Captains, I wanted to share my names of the them in my AU (because I'm just gonna refer to them with these names for the rest of the post)

The captains are all close enough that they use their real names outside of a professional setting (though Goomba is the only one who always refers to them by their captain names).

Anyways moving on to individual hcs...

Captain Quartet

Captain Goomba

Real Name: ??? Age: 30 Height: 5'0 Personality: -A very headstrong and determined individual. He has a simplistic outlook on life and does things very straightforwardly once he’s focused on it.  -While he may kinda be an idiot, he’s much more sensible than others would think and he knows when to pull back whenever he knows something is getting out of hand. Facts: -He and Aka have a rivalry going on ‘cause of the captain title. Goomba doesn't like him one bit. -Is red-green colorblind and got Brian and Sergeant Guy mixed up quite a bit which got him harshly scolded by the both of them that they don't look the same at all. Luckily, he's made sure not to make the mistake again since then, but it's still 50/50 if he sees them from behind (not that Goomba would ever admit this).  -His fellow captains realize that they don’t actually know his real name and try to subtly find ways to figure it out to no avail. The one who got the closest was Corey.

Captain Shyguy

Real Name: Brian Age: 31 Height: 5'5 Personality: -A calm and collected individual but is also very sarcastic. -Very blunt and straightforward with his words. He doesn’t care even if it’s someone of higher rank, he will say it if he has to.  -Doesn’t like showing his emotions and can’t act affectionately to save his life, but he has so much love in him.  -He's actually pretty unhinged once you get to know him. Facts: -Can throw a turnip at you with pinpoint accuracy. -Even with his boldness, he's lowkey kind of glad the mind control made Ludwig not remember he threw a turnip at his face. Though Ludwig wonders why a slight irritation in him always appears when he's talking to Brian. -Speaks monotonously and no one can really tell his emotions since he always has his mask on. -Was literally so smitten for Capt. Goomba since the start, but literally cannot show that vulnerability to save his life. Maybe he'll decide to make that exception for him…after when the yearning doesn't work out and it starts to drive him completely insane.

Captain Boo

Real Name: Boosley Age: 50 Height: 5'7 Personality: -Used to get scared and couldn't talk back to authority. As years have passed, he has become more confident and can kind of look at people most of the time now as long as they don't actually hold the gaze for longer than 2 seconds. Woohoo! -Can get upset quite easily and becomes very pouty and overdramatic about it. -Acts as the voice of reason amongst the rowdy and reckless youngins of the Captain Squad. It makes him feel old (which he is). Facts: -Used to work for King Boo as his head butler back in his youth. Things didn't end too well between them and was aimless for a while until he decided to join Bowser's army to start a new life (They might or might not be bitter exes too, the other captains never quite found out...yet). -Knows how to get rid of a body apparently.  [Mr. Boosley]: “I served as a head butler for countless years and if I didn’t know how to get rid of a body then what kind of butler am I?” [The rest of the captains]: “A normal one?” [Mr. Boosley]: “A disgraceful one. That’s what.” -Seeing his teammates being "rivals" to the Elite Trio, he's kinda jealous he doesn't have a one. -Boosley wouldn't say this to him out loud, but is quite fond of Corey's jokes/rhymes. He just hopes Corey gets out of his phase of trying to be the funniest person in the room soon.

Captain Koopa

Real Name: Corey Age: 27 Height: 5'8 Personality: -Quite the oddball of a guy, but he’s very friendly to those around him. -He's kinda needy and wants a lot of attention so he tries to be funny all the time. -A pretty mellow person. He usually likes to avoid fighting and solve things with talking. Facts: -Keeps trying to find his schtick but his jokes/rhymes are very lukewarm. He hasn’t found quite the right calling as of yet. -(Not really a hc here I just wanted to draw him in his janitor fit before he became a captain).

-He tries to get the most attention out of Boosley since Goomba and Brian are already their own pair. Unfortunately for Boosley, that makes him the test subject to hear all of Corey’s first-time jokes and rhymes.

-Actually gets along with Corporal Paraplonk pretty well. He thinks his bucket head is pretty stupid though.  -[Paraplonk]: THAT'S WHAT CROSSES THE LINE?!

Elite Trio

Private Goomp

Age: 30 Height: 4'11 Personality: -Very ambitious and always chasing glory for himself. -Pretty simple-minded, like dumber than Captain Goomba. -He's surprisingly more cunning than one would think if he's locked in. Facts: -Likes to think he's the leader of the Elite Trio but the other two don't like listening to him. It just so happens they tend to want to do the same thing and he's the one who speaks the loudest. -Captain Goomba was the first guy in the Koopa Troop he told his plans of rising to the top to. Goomp acts like he hates his ass but Goomba knows that they're both in it for life. In the end, Goomp does see him as a true companion.

Corporal Paraplonk

Age: 32 Height: 5'10 Personality: -A guy who climbs up the social ladder by acting pleasant and kissing up to those who will benefit him. -He seems more mellow as compared to the other two Elite Trio members but actually tends to get annoyed easily. He just bottles up his hate. -He's much meaner normally, as the Elite Trio and the Captains can attest. Facts: -Goomp was the first guy who clocked his true personality. It kinda hurt actually. Sergeant guy was the second. Right at their first meeting no less. -You'd probably have to torture this out of him, but genuinely is grateful to be friends with Goomp and Sergeant since they're equally shitty as he is and probably the first people he's kept it real with. -Used to hate Corey's jokes, but surprisingly, they're starting to rub off on him.

Sergeant Guy

Age: 34 Height: 5'7 Personality: -Very shrewd and sleazy. The last guy you want to trust, he's his own top priority.  -The type of mf to say “okey dokey!” and then beat you up. -Surprisingly, kind of thoughtful to others. Emphasis on kind of. Facts: -Used to be in a gang while growing up. Also got his lip scar before he joined the army. Of course, no one ever really knows that since he keeps his face covered all the time. -Has gray streaks in his hair and it makes people think he's older than he really is. -His eyes glow when he uses magic. Because I said so. -Is Paraplonk's smoking buddy/guy who he complains to when people from the job (usually Bowser or Jr) get on his nerves. Doesn't necessarily like listening to him complaining all the time but wouldn't say no to a free cigarette.

shark week is here and i'm so tired but i'm finally getting around to this, woohoo!

me and my sister are gonna see the haikyuu movie next week and i'm SO excited so i got a haikyuu hc (tho it includes neither nekoma nor karasuno lol)

suna struggles extremely hard with falling asleep and aran is a light sleeper, so whenever they're away for a training camp or smth he always wakes up to suna shuffling around, being frustrated and on the verge of tears because it's 3am and he's so exhausted but he just. won't. fall. asleep. but ofc aran is there to take care of it (platonically, in a big brother way, bromantically if you will)

Oh jeez- shark week! I'm sorry friend; I know that feeling all too well! AND THE HAIKYUU MOVIE YAS!!! It's so GOOD you're gonna love it! kjarkjekjrekjjkj the Suna headcanons YES! I love this so much Rey AHHH! Big brother Aran is so good! I've gotcha covered!

Aran was awakened by a low groan, so soft no one else seemed to hear it but him. He dared a peek at the futon next to him, finding Suna laying there with an arm tossed over his eyes. His jaw was set- and he looked rather distressed.

When he dared a peek at his phone- dear god why was it so bright?- it was 3 am. Shoot.

“Are you good?” He asked in a low voice, giving up on pretending he was still asleep. Suna seemed to stiffen at his words.

“I…no. I’m not good. I can’t sleep- I’m so tired and I just-” It was too dark to see, but Aran was sure he heard tears. “Fuck, I just want to to reach into my head and shake my brain until it turns off!”

“You’d be dead if you did that.” Aran gently pointed out, going for humor. Suna’s tch in response told him not to try again. “What do you need right now?”

“What-I don’t know! I c-can’t…” Aran shuffled closer, practically in the other boy’s futon now. He reached up and took the arm pressing into his friend’s face, catching his watery gaze.

“I’m here.” He spoke again, reassuring and soft. “What do you need?”

Suna took a few quick breaths, lips flattened to hide their tremble. “Talk to me. I don’t care what just- talk. Say anything.”

“Hm.” Okay- Aran could do that. “I’m from Hyogo. We’re close to the sea.”

Suna nodded, listening. Aran continued. He spoke of his family life growing up, how his dad would take him and his brother out to sea to catch shrimp and mussels. He spoke of their fishing trips, and the time his brother got two fishing hooks caught in his hand.

“He tried to get the first out with another one.” He grinned, earning a weak smile from Suna. The brunette was starting to calm down- Aran could feel his slowing pulse through the grip on his wrist. “It was worth it though. My grandmother- she loved seafood gumbo. She made it every Sunday without fail. If she was even late making it, everyone would be worried.”

“Sounds good. I….I’d like to try some.” Suna yawned, finally starting to drift away. Aran carried on with his childhood stories until Suna was properly out, lowering his wrist and scooting back towards his futon.

Only to realize in the middle blocker’s twists to get comfortable he was practically in Aran’s. Without meaning to, they were sharing the beds.

Giving up without much fight, Aran reached down and dragged the blanket up, whispering a few soft words as he started to fall asleep himself.

“Yeah..grandma would do this too…talk to me until I passed out..I miss her..” He let out a small sigh as he drifted, dreaming of sitting with her by the water and eating gumbo with ritz crackers.

“You’ve done good, Aran.” She told him with a smile.

“I hope so, Grandma.”

Rock Lee x Reader HCs

[I haven't finished Naruto yet but I absolutely adore this silly guy :) Please forgive if there's any inaccuracies and enjoy some sweet headcanons!]

🪷 Lee is incredibly affectionate, but in an awkward and cute sort of way. He's naturally direct and makes the first moves, reaching for your hand or planting a kiss on your face with a triumphant look. He acts so suave but as soon as the roles reverse he's caught completely off guard! If you return his confidence and move on him first you bet he'll be a blushing mess in an instant.

🪷 Lee's love language is a mix of physical and verbal. He's easy to please - the little things like holding hands, kisses on the cheek, and some playful flirting make his heart skip a beat. If you're a more reserved person his affection may come off as strong, but he'll find a way to make it work for you!

🪷 Lee’s favorite way of showing affection is holding hands. It's simple but shows everyone that you're a great pair! He always feels stronger when your hand is in his.

🪷 Lee also likes when you play with his hair. Some of the other ninja have probably teased him about it and it's a relief that you find it cute. His hair is surprisingly soft and super smooth :)

🪷 Lee is a sucker for cheesy pick-up lines (and probably gets most of them from Guy and the other ninja, who assure him they're “guaranteed to work.”) However Lee always finds a way to get flustered and say the line wrong, which turns out even cuter than the alternative.

🪷 Lee likes using cute and simple nicknames for you, his favorite being my lotus. He thinks it's clever and sweet :’)

🪷 Lee is your biggest cheerleader! If you're battling, he'll be watching front-and-center and shouting his heart out! Even when the odds are against you, he roots for you just the same. Nobody else's doubts can change his mind.

🪷 When you win, Lee is BEYOND overjoyed. “I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT! WOOHOO!!!” And as soon as you leave the battlefield, he sweeps you off your feet and twirls you around in a tight hug.

🪷 Even when you lose, Lee cheers you up with the same amount of energy. “I know you can do it next time! Don't give up! We'll get stronger together!” Lee knows how it feels to want to better yourself and he'll do everything he can to motivate you.

🪷 Lee is very protective, especially on missions. If you get injured during a fight, he'll go all-out on the enemy and keep you safe. Despite being shaken up, Lee tries his best to keep a level head and reassure you as he uses his bandages to patch you up. You're in good hands!

🪷 Lee loves showing off his strength for you. He'll make any excuse to lift you up and carry you bridal style or on his shoulders, or to move something heavy for you. It's a sweet way of proving that his training is paying off!

🪷 At the same time, Lee is secretly nervous to go overboard, especially while you're training together. When you first started sparring he held back a lot, but once you got closer and he learned your limits, training became a lot more fun for both of you.

🪷 Though he tries to hide it, Lee still sometimes has nightmares about his fight with Gaara when he was younger. He tosses and turns in his sleep, wincing as he grips his arm. Luckily, snuggling up to him and sharing some comforting words makes him feel a lot better. He also loves when you gently massage or kiss the spots where he was injured.

Werewolf OCs!!

More headcanons!! I do have HCs on other stuff but I usually don’t post any of it unless I have a drawing to go with it, so here it is! New OCs woohoo. Before that, backstory first!

In my HC, Maduke has lots of children. Like… a LOT. Probably no less than 50. Maybe even more. Though most of them just kind of hang around in the back, so we don’t really know about them.

Being the scheming, power hungry man he is, Maduke seeks to build and solidify his power… through his kin. He’ll manipulate them into being blindly loyal to him. The truth is, Maduke already has a decent following of werewolves, and this is long before he even becomes Lord. However, he knows that it’s easier to secure his influence on young and fresh minds, blank slates for him to confidently gain absolute control over. Yup, he’s got this all figured out. If his children are powerful, they’ll become his warriors and serve him directly by taking and carrying out his orders. If they are not powerful, in the meantime they can just run less important errands and be his spies/informants, while he figures out a use for them. Unfortunately, some of these less powerful children met fates of being used as test subjects and/or becoming batteries for his bloodstone power up (in the werewolf arc). It gets dark real quick. To him, his kin is nothing more than his tools.

Generally speaking, powerful parents do not necessarily have powerful children, as one’s level of talent and maximum fighting capabilities really just seem to be random. So, Maduke tries his luck by having children with many, many different werewolf women. At least some of his children will be powerful, he thinks. And he is right.

Some women share his ambition for power, and agree to be his partner. With the others… well, he uses his charisma and manipulation. He can easily switch between presenting himself as a convincing ally or a charming lover, depending on who he is dealing with. Yep. From here, you can see exactly where this goes. As an expert schemer, Maduke knows how to get things, and people, to be his way. Let there be broken promises and broken hearts; it doesn’t matter. To him, it only matters that he achieves his goals…and he does.

Note: in my HC a lot of werewolves are monogamous, but it is also common for werewolves to get together and have children with multiple partners throughout their lives. Both are natural and accepted by werewolf society, so it really depends on the individual.

Now onto the actual OCs!

Savannah: A warrior. One of Maduke’s partners, and the mother of Kentas. Kentas gets her eyebrows and sideburns, and takes after her muscular build. He’s almost his mother’s clone when it comes to appearance. Savannah is good and virtuous at heart (her son also shows these qualities after he frees himself from his father’s influence). She is fiercely loyal to those whom she believes in, including Maduke. That is, until she discovers his true nature and the grand scheme of his plans. She confronts Maduke and makes it clear that she will expose his true nature to everyone and take her (still a small child) son with her. As a result, Maduke brutally murders her to silence her. To explain her disappearance, Maduke just tells everyone that she betrayed their clan and left them without notice. To this day, the other werewolves, including Kentas, are not aware of the truth behind her (death) disappearance, even after Maduke is gone for good.

Bianca: A warrior. One of Maduke’s partners, and the mother of Lunark. Lunark gets her fiery and bold personality, as well as her bright pink eyes. Bianca’s pure white hair is already unusual, and when combined with her beautiful face, she is an exceptionally rare beauty by werewolf standards. Maduke was never genuine with any of his female partners as they all were just tools to him, but he was, for a very brief time, captivated by her mysteriousness. Perhaps that’s why he is a little nicer to Lunark than his other children, because she reminds him of Bianca. Some time after Lunark grows up, Bianca expresses her desire to pay a visit to her homeland in the snowy mountains far, far away. Strangely, Maduke grants her request and she leaves. She doesn’t come back to reunite with her daughter until after the werewolf arc ends. She is alive in the present day.

Hila: A warrior. One of Maduke’s partners, and the mother of Uzhir. Uzhir takes after her looks and logical personality. Like his father, Uzhir doesn’t have any eyebrows. Despite being a warrior, Hila prefers to study herbs and traditional medicine. She is not interested in meddling in whatever business the other werewolves had going on, and shows little to no concern for her son. She secretly leaves Maduke’s territory to pursue her work and preservation of traditional werewolf knowledge and decides to, permanently, never return. Alive in the present day.

Suna: Not a warrior. One of Maduke’s partners, and the mother of Gayare and Bashum. Gayare and Bashum get their face shape from her. Suna is ambitious, highly jealous, and a bit reckless. Unlike Maduke, she isn’t very smart. Madukes grows annoyed of her and concludes that she won’t be of any help as she’ll just get in his way, and he has already gotten what he wanted from her, so he kills her.

That’s it for the mothers of Maduke’s children! There are still many others but it’ll be too much work to draw and list all of them so for now this is it. In conclusion, Kentas, Lunark, Uzhir, Gayare, Bashum + many unnamed dozens of ocs are all siblings/half-siblings in my headcanon. It gets crazy lol.

Last but not least;

Willow: Not a warrior. Maduke’s younger half-sister, and the mother of Zaiga’s daughter, Gaura. Willow was born with a defect and does not have werewolf claws, and is unable to transform. She often gets sick and her self-healing abilities are inferior. To werewolves, this is beyond imaginable and most would rather die than live with this for the rest of their lives. Willow gets by just fine. She is a soft-spoken and calm person. Unable to fight, she devotes her life to literature and writing down werewolf history as much as she can. The other werewolves think she’s super weird. However, she bonds with Zaiga over their shared interests in non-traditional werewolf things (in his case, magic) and they are genuine. She eventually dies of a mysterious illness.

Annnd that’s all! Maybe eventually I’ll do an expansion of the brief summaries here, idk. For now this’ll do lol

On the topic of the staring when he was a kid, his parents used to do that "What color was their eyes" test to like. make sure he did make eye contact and he focused in so intensely on memorizing their eye color that he never actually like, paid attention to the conversation at hand but was really proud whenever he could tell his mom the eye. color because woohoo i memorized it !

However as he got older he realized more and more how uncomfortable eye contact was making him and other ppl (esp when he was being told off rip) so he slowly stopped again until he joined the goths and found himself more comfortable unmasking entirely

Canonically he has anger issues imo i think he had meltdowns a lot as a kid and it was labeled as anger issues and now he pents everything up until it explodes in everyone's face (Its also a personal hc that the other goths convinced him to go into anger management LMAO)

Sp/in in Goth Culture. obviously. he's edwardian goth because he likes feeling fancy and important and he hates attention but actually loves attention blah blah blah me too king

arguing is kinda their love language in a very strange weird way. if theyre not fighting somethings wrong but their like constant bickering actually is rlly important to you three's relationship lmfaooo a lot of communicating is just eren and jean fighting and then you pick up on something they say and you three talk it out. plus its gets all their energy out at the end of the day... like when puppies run around in circles bc they didnt go on long enough walks

jean is the planner of the couple, always making sure you guys get tickets to see this that and whatever, always figures out how ur gonna get places and when everyone will be picked up, makes sure everyones schedules are free and that theres no big game release that you'll miss and eren doesnt have work and jean isnt volunteering

in terms of nerdiness jean is a decent middle ground between you (who says "ummm actually..." unironically) and eren (who thought dungeons and dragons was a kinky thing) because he lives with connie so he gets roped into playing stuff like rainbow six seige and watching battlestar galactica into late hours of the night. also he's an only child who was prone to boredom as a kid so he played video games like any other only child. that being said he has a more extroverted personality and aptitude for sports so he just never got as absorbed in it as you did

this kind of makes eren jealous tbh because he thinks jean has more to relate with you then him. but jealousy is like a natural feeling and despite his feigned reluctance jean is happy to share his knowledge with him.

plus eren realizes that what he lacks in video game and movie knowledge he makes up in anime bc jean is clueless on that front. once you went on this huge rant about how sailor moon would decimate goku in a fight and jean just goes "gokus the pirate with the fox spirit, right? hes trying to become number one pro hero right?"

speaking of eren eren and jean are on the same volleyball team (i hc they play volleyball bc theyre tall but i think theyd be cute on any sports team because im weak hearted) and you become their fave cheerleader <3 they look for you in the stands before each game and have their own little ritual for good luck. when he spots you jean jumps really high (despite the team captain, levi screams at him to save it for when the game starts) and makes a heart with his arms and blows you a kiss when he gets in the air and its so embarrassing so eren just dogpiles the embarassment but giving you an over exaggerated wink its the worst theyre gross

jean gets you into connie's discord server after you complain that people are really rude to you in online games and eren is quick to demand an invite too even though he literally plays nothing and has no idea how discord works. he will log in and ping you to show you a meme and even though connie's server is really chill with rules (like 10 ppl max, just some friends hanging out) he has always wanted to say "no memes in general" so he does it every time. you have to show eren how to use private messages once connie jokes abt eren being his discord kitten.

cuddle pile while watching movies... jean is a film buff so you three have movie nights rlly often. its usually you sandwiched in between them with jean behind you and eren in front of you so you can play with his hair. jean's movie taste is actually really broad and you and eren both find a ton of new favorites through him.

they both really like listening to you ramble. you can explain soooo much lore abt your fave series and theyre both really invested. eren is more invested in the characters while jean is more focused on what happens next, but theyre both listening rlly well and making sure you know they care. they kinda care in different ways though? while eren is just passionate and because he's so passionate he must know about all things you like, jean is either interested or just likes hearing your voice. of the two jean is more likely to give you short answers and he'll be more dozed off so he's good to go to when you just want to rant. eren is going to ask you more questions and get wayyy more confused so he's good to go to when you want to explain or flesh out your points.

jean finds eren's jealousy of fictional characters sooooo ridiculous. whenever eren is pouting about some new video game guy youre in love with jean is rolling his eyes because of course its eren jaeger he's just looking for things to get angry at. "what are they gonna do idiot, come out of the tv?" but then one day there's a character that looks a lot like eren and suddenly he understands everything. but he realizes you have a thing for guys with long hair. he'll keep the mullet around for a while

they both really like having you sat in their laps and (unbeknownst to you) in order to avoid conflict they created a system. cozy game? eren. reading? jean. watching anime? eren. watching something live action? jean. playing a game on your phone? eren. watching an analysis video for your favorite franchise? jean. just messing around on your computer? rock paper scissors, best of three. eren likes to hug you tight and rest his head on your shoulder while talking to you. when it gets quiet he'll nuzzle his face in your neck and give you small kisses there. while jean likes to put his hands under your shirt and rest it on your stomach while you two chat. he's puts his head on your head or throws it back depending on your height and kinda just likes letting his hands wander, like rubbing up and down your arms or tickling you lightly.

dating during a war is hard so when y’all first start dating, probably towards the end of the war when he finally joins the Gaang, its gonna be really chaotic and you guys are still gonna be sorting through everything, like what kinda couple do you wanna be? neither of you know

kisses are rare during this time, especially since zuko is a generally private person who doesn’t really do PDA much, especially since he wants to avoid teasing and judgement from others. he’s a real people pleaser at the end of the day, he literally spent three years of his life looking for someone the world thought just disappeared permanently because he wanted his dad’s validation.

Hello luce! It’s been a hot minute. My brain has been a little empty lately, with… bleh. School work. I’ll never get quite use to homework, and my grades will suffer all the more for it. But in any case. How have you been lately?

Recently, the Mondstadt reputation rewards caught my eye. I’m curious about the NRE and the portable waypoint. I could just look it up or whatever, get the experience there, but then there wouldn’t be much of a point of playing genshin on the first place for me. That all aside, how do you like fishing? Ive been really enjoying it, but I feel distaste for the long respawn times of the fish. I wish it was like, only one real life day instead of three. Did you participate kn the Lunar Leviathan event?

Do you have any tips for expanding vocabulary? I’ve been trying to check thesaurus’s word of the day, along with other dictionaries, what advice you have on it if any?

I don’t have any good transitions for this, but here are some Kaeya hcs I came up with on the spot.

-Kaeya putting his cape on your shoulder when he has to leave the room. People staring at him incredulously, “The Calvary captain??? Without his signature cape???” “That’s Sir Kaeya for you. He gets uncharacteristically sweet when ever his s/o is around,”

-Kaeya coming to work in braids because you braided his hair while you two were cuddling that morning. Adamantly refuses to take it out unless it’s by you at the end of the day.

-memorizes your favorite takeout orders, every side, every specification. Then, when you need comfort food, he’ll be able to bring your favorite food to you with no hassle.

-begging you for attention when he’s bored. “Y/nnnnn, you’re so cruel… coming so late to pick me up from the angels share… hold me, y/n… I’m so incredibly touched starved from your missing presence..!” It’s all playful, of course, but he hopes the genuine affection for you isn’t lost in translation. Because after a stressful day of work, you really are all he needs.

-I like to imagine that if you were a knight of Favionous, on some days, you’d be able to talk to Jean and take over most of Kaeyas paperwork, giving him a break. He’d be startled, wondering if the small pile of papers on his desk is a trap, as if when he finishes it the more typical pile up to his neck will appear. He’ll scold you for it when he finds out- he’d really rather be the one taking the extra stress instead of you, after all, he’s use to it- but those days you help him split the work are the ones where he realizes now much he was in need of a break.

fishing? honestly i really like the mechanic HAHA it's sort of like animal crossing (i used to play animal crossing new horizons A LOT before i got into genshin) and fishing was always my favorite part in ac! i also like the pretty fish in genshin eeeee i really wanted this gorgeous looking crystalfish but i was fishing in an event pond and couldnt pull out the fruitpaste bait :( i'm glad you're enjoying it too!! but like you said, i hope the respawn times can be fixed!

hmm, i found that my vocabulary was best expanded the more i read. i'd find new words and remember them when i'd do google searches for more intriguing words. additionally, you can substitute a word in your writing with a suitable one that you find on thesaurus.com or onelook.com! it really depends on how much you like reading and what methods you prefer best: in the moment stuff or long-term expansion of vocabulary. either way, don't worry about rushing! take your time and find words you like the best :)

EDIT: this turned into a fairly long HC that focusses a on ro with adhd and autistic vee!

i can imagine the family all watching rilakkuma and kaoru on netflix (if you haven't already PLEASE watch it it's so soft and cute!)

because baby vee is very particular about what he watches, he is so jumpy and sensitive when little that his anxiety can be triggered by the smallest most insignificant details so logan and patton both carefully scour any possible triggers in cartoons and movies before putting them on for him

logan had learned that this particular show was pretty much all clear from triggers for virgil plus it was highly rated as being enjoyable for all age groups so he deemed it one of the few shows that they could probably all watch together

within the first few seconds, virgil was hooked - patton saw on his little face how his eyes blew wide with adoration at the cute bears on screen and he smiled past his paci and bounced on patton lap and reached toward the screen whispering 'cubble cubble' because the characters just looked so huggable

after a slight disappointment in finding out that he couldnt cuddle the bears, patton huddled vee close and the baby squeezed him tight and squeaked with excitement at the bears as the episode went on

roman was slack hawed and absolutely marvelling at the craftsmenship of the show - he actually fell right out of littlespace because he was so enthralled by the creativity behind the stop motion figures that he snapped 'out of character' as it were

he kept talking through the show, though not neary as much as he often did - only occasionally and always to ask logan how they did a certain thing with the models - logan dutifully explained what he knew about the animating process for stop lotion though admitted that he did not know much

they only watched two episodes as a family before vee got sleepy and logan insisted they should do something less screen-based, but that night roman binged the rest of the show in his room, amazed and adoring

and that started romans hyperfixation with stop motion animation and virgil's special interest with rilakkuma!

roman spends hours and hours and hours of the next couple of weeks studying the artform and collecting supplies to try his hand at it - albeit on a much smaller scale of course

and whenever vee draws pictures for the next couple of weeks they are always of the characters and he only cuddles his bear softies for a whole week before he picks up mento again

the caregivers of course indulge their littles' interests, amazed that both of them had clung so much to the show

they watched an episode every night, until they had gotten through all 13 of them - since roman had already watched them all in his adult headspace he had satiated his fascinstion in the artform and was able to enjoy them while little as well, he was very talkative and excitable and would infodump on all of the animation tricks he saw in the behind the scenes videos he watched on youtube

roman's hyperfixation only lasts about three weeks but he did create some cute characters with modelling clay and shot an amateur thirty second film with them that the other sides were very impressed by

but virgil's special interest is far more longlasting - baby vee doesnt stop drawing the characters for several weeks, there is no end in sight - he even gets so excited when he sees anything to do with the characters that he actually starts to breathe a bit too fast and shake and logan has to be careful to keep an eye on virgil's exposure to it as it can really overexcite him and strangely enough trigger his anxiety (projecting woohoo)

it carries over into his adult mindset too! he reads about the origins of the characters in sanrio and becomes equally fascinated and adoring of the other sanrio characters. he's pretty embarrassed about it at first and doesn't let anyone know about his new fascination, he keeps quiet about it and tries not to let the others see that his phone and laptop backgrounds are now of his favourite sanrio characters

but one day a couple months later roman casually brings up the show in conversation at dinner and virgil starts joining in the conversation, his toes are scrunching and unscrunching in his socks and he is rocking slightly from side to side on his chair as he blurts as much information as his tongue can manage about the characters and his favourite things about them and how the show handled the characterisation and what ither characters there are in the sanrio universe and what he thought of them and he doesn't even realise until he is talking through a thoroughly dry mouth and flapping his hand by his hip that he's been talking non stop for who knows how long

and suddenly he shuts up and feels his cheeks burn, noticing now how everyone around the table is looking at him, he grits his teeth, cursing himself for being so cringey and talking so much and why is he so selfish why didnt he let anyone else talk he shouldnt take up so much space

he mumbles sorry and keeps his eyes down from their stares but the others immediately reassure him, they weren't at all upset that he spoke so much, they were maybe a little surprised but really really happy that virge liked the subject so much and wanted to share it with them

he is still humiliated, he says okay thank you but deep down he still doesnt believe that its okay he still thinks its embarrassing and hes such a dork

but over the next few weeks the others invite him to talk about it more, roman sends virgil sanrio memes he finds on tumblr, logan plays the soundtrack to the show when he is trying to calm virgil down, patton buys him a little korilakkuma plush thats the perfect size to fit in his hand and it's even got the little beans in it and everything! it becomes his go to stim toy when he needs to calm down

and YEAH lots of feelings but to summarise: rilakkuma and kaoru is so so cute pls watch it, good for bby vee because soft, good for roman because art, roman has adhd and hyperfixates on the artform for a couple weeks before moving onto another hyperfixation, virgils special interest becomes longterm and though he is reluctant to infodump at first his family assure him its ok and they show him support through little acts and gradually he becomes more confident in it!

side note: i’m keeping all details consistent between asks, so if something happens here, it might show up again later in another ask!! 

-it’s a weekly tradition for all of the gladers and their families to get together every other saturday, and today was newt’s pick: the local arcade down the street. he’d grown up in this town, and used to go there every weekend to play games with his friends. 

-thomas never really had an interest in arcades until the first time they’d all met there together. the entire time, thomas and gally went head-to-head in every game they could find, making sure someone was following them around to keep score (usually frypan)

-thomas has to practically beg newt to get there early so thomas could get ahead start on some of the games before gally got there 

-everyone shows up, and they always end up waiting on minho and brenda’s family. “i couldn’t get him out of the bathroom!” brenda would say, “i’m pretty sure he used half of his hair gel in one sitting...”

-after everyone arrives, people start to split up. gally almost immediately drags thomas over to the basketball game. “you got lucky last time, shank. let’s see how you do this time.” frypan, winston, and zart all share an amused glance before following them over to keep score and watch the competition. 

-sonya and harriet happily volunteer to look after gally’s daughter while her dad plays against thomas. they love taking the small girl to the dance dance revolution board, and taking turns dancing and singing karaoke. they looooove singing spice girls 

-teresa loves to join newt in watching his son and daughter play each other in car-racing games. sometimes, when his daughter is falling behind in a race, newt slyly reaches around her and helps steer the wheel without his son noticing. teresa always cheers for both teams and gives the winner of the race a big hug. 

-minho and brenda prefer to take their three sons over to the skeeball lanes. aris helps keep all of the kids wrangled in the same area, and he sometimes helps the kids with their aim. minho always tries to impress brenda, but whenever she looks, minho manages to miss every time. “bren, i swear i got it last time!!!” “sure you did, babe.” it makes winning an endless number of tickets for brenda a little more difficult. 

-after a quick lunch break and ice cream, everyone heads back inside the arcade for the rest of the afternoon.  

-zart and aris steal thomas and newt’s kids to go play a four-person game of mario kart. thanks to many helpful practice sessions with newt in racing games, the kids are actually some serious competition for zart and aris, much to their embarrassment. but they dont mind, because the kids always smiled so big after winning a game. 

-thomas and newt sneak off to play one of the first and third-person shooter games on the other side of the arcade. these kind of games are newt’s favorite, he’s very good. his favorite is a star wars game where you can fly ships in space and attack the enemy. newt plays with very small and precise movements, while thomas practically flails his gun with every shot and ends up missing over half of the time. thomas always tries to distract newt by sneaking a surprise kiss on newt’s forehead, on his hair, on his neck, on his nose...newt tries to keep a straight face but always succumbs in the end. “nice try, tommy....but i still won.”

-frypan and winston are big fans of some of the classic carnival games. they always take brenda and minho’s kids over to play. all three boys are very active and athletically fit, just like their parents, and love to play the game where you throw balls to knock down clowns. 

-”min min!!” gally’s daughter would always shout when she wanted to play games with minho. gally would roll his eyes as minho burst out laughing, giving his daughter a big high five before asking what she wants to play. she absolutely loves games that involve riding and balancing on a motorcycle or snow mobile, and she always wants to be on a team with minho so she can play against her dad. whenever gally loses minho gives him a wink and laughs. gally groans in annoyance but it always fades when his daughter screams “daddy!!!! we beat you!!!!!! i did it!!!!” “yeah you did, sweet pea, good job!” 

-sonya, harriet, teresa, and brenda always tend to sneak off together at one point of the day. their favorite thing to do is a nice, competitive, 4-person game of air hockey. they always play sonya and harriet versus brenda and teresa, and their games always get so intense that they tend to draw a crowd. there’s always plenty of light-hearted jokes and laughter, and despite the competitive tone none of them really care who wins. 

-in all honestly, their favorite part is when the boys start to gather and start taking sides. “THAT’S MY GIRL!!!!” Minho would always shout whenever brenda scored a goal. gally hoists his daughter up on his shoulders to give her a better view, and her cheers are always the loudest. newt, thomas, frypan, and aris, like to make bets on who is gonna win. thomas and frypan always manage to bet wrong, making newt and aris very rich in pocket change. 

-at the end of the day, everyone heads over to the counter to turn in their tickets and get their prizes!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

-minho always tries to have the most to get something fun for brenda  or his kids, and he sometimes convinces the others to give him some extra tickets on the DL. thomas doesn’t really win very many tickets most of the time, so he always gets a bunch of the super cheap prizes like bubbles, candy, and rubber poppers. much to newt’s entertainment, thomas actually enjoys playing with all of them with the kids!! frypan gets a pair of those giant sunglasses, and zart gets fake flowers and rings that squirt water on people. teresa always donates her tickets to the kids, and winston and aris usually do the same. gally doesn’t really care how many tickets he has in the end, as long as he gets more than thomas. sonya and harriet like to get a bunch of those cheap bead necklaces in all colors. 

-newt smiles at everyone at the ticket counter as they collect their prizes, old memories of his own childhood coming back. he smiles, seeing the same happiness in everyone elses’ eyes that he felt way back then.
