Raw screams crawled up my throat as the whip came down on my back, barely missing my wings.

My eyes were shut tightly, yet small tears still managed to escape and fall down my face.

The whip came down again.

And again.

And again.

What was I doing? Was I really going to take this?

I can't- no, I won't take this.

I held my breath as the whip came down once again. As soon as I felt the whip off my back, I used every bit of strength to flip around and I somehow managed to catch the whip before it hit me.

Once it was in my shakey grip I yanked and threw it far behind me. I scrambled up and backed up away from her.

Those green eyes stared at me, craving nothing but my pain. My suffering.

I gasped for air as she only stared at me. I now only realized how powerless I was against her. I had nothing to protect myself with.

Her stare only proved my point as she raised her arm up.

In the blink of an eye she threw me against the wall. The air was knocked out of me and I crumples to the floor.

I had no strength to get up, even as I heard her footsteps approaching. My body shook as it tried to get up but her boot on my back forced me back down.

"Fighting back? Hm.. That was your first mistake." She hummed.

She grabbed ahold of my hair and yanked my head up so it was no longer pressed into the floor.

I struggled in her grip, trying desperately to escape. I could only imagine how pathetic I looked.

"Clearly the whip hasn't taught you anything. Maybe.. This will get my message across that you do not disobey me." She said as she took ahold of one of my wings.

My heart stopped as I struggled even more. Small pleas left my throat as more tears fell down my face.

The grip on my wing tightened and I braced myself.

Both her hands gripped my wing, and I hear a crack and pain erupts through my wing.

A horrible scream leaves my throat as she lets go of my damaged wing, letting it drop to the ground.

She leaves me a sobbing, crumbled mess on the floor.

"Remember your place, VEA."

I shoot up, my eyes wide as I gasp for air. A sharp pain goes through my back, which forces me back down.

I stare up at the dark ceiling of my room. It reminds me that I'm here now, not there.

My head turns to the side as I see my bandaged wing laying limply off the side of the bed.

I sigh, just a nightmare.

I turn myself to the side so my injured wing is now laying across the top of my body, and my uninjured wing under me.

My wings automatically wrap around myself as I close my eyes and try to fall asleep again.

Luckily it doesn't take long considering how tired I am.

Before I fall asleep my mind reminds me of what I have to do

Either super great or absolute dog shit at games. No in between. Avoids the ones he sucks at like the plague. Is a sore loser and WILL pout if he’s lost enough times (still pouts even if he only loses a little but its more subtle and he can get over it quicker lol)

His jokes/humor are also the same as his style and game talents, His jokes are usually cheesy, and either really fuckin funny or absolute cringiest shit you’ve ever heard, almost no in-between 

Loves pranks. Goes without saying really

Has this uncanny knack for finding things people would be unable to decide if they like or not, like say a keychain of their fave character for example, but the character is doing some weird bizarre ooc shit or its some on the most unhinged knock off of the original they’ve ever seen

Will tell you wrong information with his whole ass chest. He believes it. He is a a bit dumbass. Himbo-y if you will. Is shocked when he realizes he is in fact wrong and thinks you’re fucking with him. Always takes a minute to convince him he’s actually wrong even though no one is ever fucking with him when they tell him he’s wrong NOT saying he is rude or mean about it is just genuinely shocked he’s wrong what do you MEAN you’re serious that much salt doesn’t go in there you’re just trying to mess him up haha Ikaku… oh shit Ikaku was serious!! that was too much salt wtf!!

If he thinks something about him turns his partner/crush on/they like that about him will go out of his way to try and show off even after getting together. Like his arms? Will tie down the top half of his suit and claim to be hot while working.. when its super cold lol - not subtle at all, plays dumb when teased about it

Dishes it out way harder than he can take it, is a bit of a baby if teased too much- will deny at all costs. Still tells you if it was a good burn tho later on

had a dream that there was a horror movie w zac oyama and emily axford in it and the thing was like zac and emily's characters are childhood friends and zac's in love with her in a very slightly creepy way he's kind of creepy the whole time actually. anyways these people around them who were in high school and stuff with them start dying and you have no idea what's happening to them they're just kind of dying and being burnt afterwards. at some point they find out that emily's character is getting married when this other girl almost asks her out and both the other girl and zac's character are heartbroken and the very next thing you see is that emily's dead. then there's like a flashback of them arguing and revealing that zac killed everyone from before and how he did it including emily because back in high school or in the movie they stopped them from getting together and then all of the ghosts of his victims kill him then roll credts

it was a pretty good movie honestly everyone who saw it really liked it the performances were really good

i know its not much but in these pics is everything splatoon i accumulated over these 8 years. i remember the e3 trailer in 2014 so vividly. my first time startig the game up in 2015. the final splatfest. the SECOND final splatfest. my first round of salmon run. my firsr splatoon amiibo. my first splatoon drawings! i remember wathcing playthoughs of the story mode whenever i was on vacation and couldnt play myself. i remember puttinf the game on in the background and just listening to the music while doing other thing.

i recently found my old drawings. splatoon art that i was especially proud of at the time. ive come a long way with my art too in these 8 years. heres a closeup of the drawings

on the very left: the squit from 2015. on the back is a drawing of undyne haha. then next to it an inkling girl and an inkling boy from the splatoon 2 era. definitely around the end time of that because i have other drawings from before that (theyre just from before i had found my style) and then on the right: my self made amiibo cards and just som random octoling. from this year. you can see the progression i think.

another thing is the cosplay itself. in 2017 i saw a splatoon cosplayer in a parking lot at my very first convention. since then i planned a splatoon cosplay. i wanted to do agent 3. or just a random inkling if i couldnt do the uniform. that was probably what even got me into cosplay in the first place. and i started planning. and years later i finally did it. i have a complete captain 3 cosplay now. of course updated to fit the same character just years later. i think theres something funny about that, no?

splatoon led me to make friendships unlike any other, either directly through it or indirectly by making me wanna start cosplay and get better at drawing.

i never thought id live this long. but i did. and im glad i did. HAPPY 8 YEARS OF SPLATOON TO ALL OF YOU FISH AND INKFISH!
