This feels like a bombshell and I feel like I’m about to get flamed for this but… yolo.

Maybe it’s the fact Mosu and Goji have more established lore and are clearly the larger focus in this AU (Mosu being the struggling cinnnamon roll without a selfish bone in her body and Goji being the literal smooth criminal she fell for)

But Mothzillakong doesn’t feel canon and, cute as it is, it feels more like Mothzilla + Kong anyway, Kong being more like the third wheel, wingman, therapist and, eventually, cool uncle. And I feel like Kong doesn’t have any pre-established natural romantic progression with either Mothra or Godzilla in canon.

Kong’s been shown to share some interests with Mothra and does interact with her sometimes, so I can believe he helps her through her character arc and helps her get with Goji, and he’s shown previously to be more like Godzilla’s bro or even a ride-or-die (underrated dynamic) who I can believe manages to help get him through his own character arc and helps him get with Mothra. So the idea that Goji and Kong were and are bisexual messes with each other and Mosu loves both of them romantically feels a little sudden if it is canon and it’s not just wishful thinking.

Plus, the way Mothra and Godzilla crash out over each other, I’ve never seen that same energy for or from Kong.

Honestly that’s mostly just because it has been silly wish fulfillment. I haven’t really made them make sense as a polycule is because it’s all been just me wanting to draw characters being cute. Noting is too solid with my story yet because I’m waiting to make the web comic the official story.

But like… yeh, it’s not that serious because I haven’t made it that serious… I’ve just been fucking around

(HIB Wukong) He found Luier and Silly girl looking out the window. And he immediately drew curious And went to see what they were looking at. And what he found was shocking, This is the first time he's ever seen you. As your wings were open and you were making a soft, peaceful sound, it was almost like you were singing. But Wukong was blushing, and it seemed like he was in a different world as He sat and watched you. You turn to him and the children and sang to them. As the three of them watched you in amazement.

(NR Wukong) Word had gotten around That the queen of the monsters has been flying over Donghai City. People have been buzzing and trying to get a glimpse of you for months. This caught Wukong's attention in no time as he sat on the roof one night hoping to see you. After trying for a few nights he finally spotted you and it was love at first sight for him. You felt the same when you noticed a fuzzy monkey on the roof and open your wings to get his attention. Chattering and Chirping was exchanged and a relationship began🥰

(MKR Wukong) He thought he was hallucinating when he saw you in the sky. As you flew over the village he was staying in and he was shellshocked as you glowed above him. Afterwords you flew above him wherever he went, and soon fruity had noticed you, and he was amazed too. It was like you were following him, Wukong had enough and went to find you himself. When he met you, you were the most beautiful woman he's ever seen, and you found him to be adorable, and the secret relationship began with a song🎵

(Netflix Wukong) You approached him first. You glowed and shined above his home. Every night and sang sofly as Wukong would listen to your song, and it wasn't long before you two fell in love. He was an adorable sweetheart and you love him so much and Wukong grew obsessed you and your glowed as he would cuddle and kiss you. In otherwords you guys adored each other.

Godzilla- He smirked as a Mini Gojira came out of the egg, he swiftly walked over to the chicken and there egg. The looks of everyone he passed, anger and full of hatred that almost made him smile even wider. As he reached the two he grabbed his baby gently, the small reptile nuzzeled into there fathers arm, with his free arm he wrapped it around the mother's waist, both walking away to his cave where Jr was. When they reached it Jr exility ran out looking at his father first, before looking at there newly hatched sibling, there eyes sparkled and they jumped up and down, Godzilla let out a huff and ushers everyone inside. While Jr was playing with there younger sibling, Godzilla had there arm and tail wrapped around (y/n) "Well my Queen not that you had my child you wont have to do anything you can take care of the kids and I will get everything for all of you, you will never have leave the cave again, now my Queen lets go make Jr is playing nice with there new sibling"

Rodan-"YES" they loudly yelled, quieting down as they see the faces of everyone around them. They flew over to them and wrapped a wing around them "Now lets go home sweetheart, I got the nest ready, though it maybe be a bit late for that" he said already looking at the hatched egg, he shook his head before speaking again "Well no bother we can turn it into a bedroom for our little chick" he grabbed the chick with his beak, like a cat would to there baby. Flying up he titled his head up, they knew what he was saying 'follow me'. They flew up refusing to look at the other's faces and followed the red bird back to there house. When they finally reached the house the door was open and the two where no were to be seen, slowly walking into the house they noticed in the corner a nest made up of soft materials and on the nest was there newly hatched baby, softly snoring. A red blur came across there vision and the door behind them closed, a heat engulfed them as they realized Rodan was hugging, more like cuddling them. They where lead over to the couch Rodan refusing to let them go "I almost lost you my love, but not anymore, I will go get our baby some food you just stay here and take care of them"

Anguirus-They walked quickly and were on guard, they new the others may try and attack them, once they reached there destination they looked at the baby they helped make. The baby looked at them with wide eyes and made a few noises, his tail rapped around the newborn and placed him on his neck, the baby grabbed his neck and his tail rapped around the chickens arm making sure to avoid the hands. They walked forward and soon reached his house, as they open the door and everyone was in, he locked the door and his tail released there arm and he gently put there baby down "You know when I first found out you slept with the others I was angry but when our baby hatched I couldn't leave you and they alone, so just stay here and let me take care of our baby and you"

Ghidorah-Each head had a prideful smirk on there face, walking slowly just to see the looks on everyone's faces, the tiny two headed dragon was picked up by there father's left head, the other two heads rapped around the chicken giving nips and licks soaking in the other's growing growls. San rapped there neck around the cyborg and Ichi lifted his head, taking in everyone's angry expression before flying away to a secret part of the island, there home. They dropped the chicken with a thud as walked over to a few pillows and gently placed to baby down, the newborn instantly fell asleep. The mother felt like jolting backwards when the three heads turned around with dark expression on there faces. They where frozen in place as the three headed dragon walked towards them, Ni suddenly bit one of there shoulders, no to hard to hurt but enough to startle them and soon the others joined marking up there body with dark blotches and bite marks, the three then stopped looking at there work. " Now that you are officially claimed as our mate, why don't we make some more children" "Don't worry we'll protect you during that time cant have anyone stealing you away" "And when are children grow we can take over the galaxy, as a family"

MechaGodzilla-It was a surprises when a metal baby hatched, but MechaGodzilla didn't care. As he glided up to the egg he looked at the chicken and stated " I told you we are the only robots here, we where made for each other and this is the result" referring to the newly hatched baby, it took a few seconds but there jets started up and they were off going to there home, the newly hatched doing the same thing and the chicken squawking, closely chasing there child as they followed in a line. When all three reached the house the door instantly opened and everyone stepped inside closing when the last person stepped inside. Mecha scooped up his child and put them in a cylinder like object, wires coming out and going into some parts of there body. "It's a charging station" he said before the mother could say anything, "Now you had a long day babe why don't you go to bed, and don't think about escaping, I have eyes everywhere"

Megalon-Out of all the people to have a child with Megalon was the least intimidating father, he made a squeal before running to the front. He lifted and twirled the chicken who didn't mind, though stopped when he saw the faces of the others. "Come on let get out of here" the other nods and grabs their egg while Megalon put his drills together and jump down, making a hole that the other then jumps in. Megalon bursts from the ground and soon the other jumps out to, he opens the door and (y/n) walks threw and then Megalon held his arms out waiting patiently for them to let him hold his new baby. Both were on their couch the newborn between them as they laid in relaxed silence, "you know I always wanted to have a family with you but didn't know how to ask you, but now we can be together, forever"

Space Godzilla- He smugly walked up and put his hand around the chickens waist, he then grabbed the nape of their Childs neck, dropping them in the mother's arms who quickly cached them. As they walked away Space smirked wider as a 'swoosh' behind them hit someone *cough*Megalon*cough* in the face with a light 'ow' in the background. The crater was the same as when they left, Space snapped him fingers and many crystals appeared in a rectangle like shape " Put the baby in there it can act as a temporary crib" he said lighting a cigar and sitting on the chair, the chicken put their child in the crib that somehow had a pillow in it, they watched as the baby curled up and drifted to sleep. They looked at the space kaiju who smirked again beckoning them to come over while also patting next to him, when they stayed still Space lifted them up and brought them over to where he was sitting. They sat down hesitantly, as Space put a hand on their they and blew smoke into their face, " I told you they would get my looks, now what did I say before you rudely ran away from me oh right, you are never getting rid of me baby, now how about we make more children, until we start a new species".

Destroyah-Everyone was quiet when he walked up, as he picked up his kid and held his hand out waiting patiently for the other party to replicate. When they put their hooks in his hand, he swiftly grabbed there waist and lifted them up, the others hooks hanging around Destroyah's neck as he carried both home. The place was dark and (y/n) couldn't see anything, as there adviser adjusted to it they were put down and were shocked when they watched Destroyah rock the baby in his arms before placing them in a crib that looked like it was made of bones. He turns around and walked back over to them, holding their hand out again, as they hooked there hands together Destroyah moved bringing both into a slow dance. They didn't know how long they were dancing but their feet were starting to hurt, he stopped and grabbed there hooked hand and kissed it, "My love our child will be the most feared in the world, and maybe we can give them some sibling, but now who's bones would you love to have you thrown made out of, how about all the other's you slept with"

I Solved One of the Great Mysteries of the Heian Era

This reads as a sort of storybook. The pages here all describe Sukuna's rise to power as a divine force in jujutsu society, but it's scattered throughout different chapters. Here, I piece it together for your reading pleasure. I made this discovery while writing my Yuji cog analysis.

Sukuna vs. The Fujiwara Clan

Sukuna sees himself as a divine arbiter who bestows judgement on humans, who he deems to be beings below him. As a divine figure, he condemns humans to misery by his hands. Sukuna's title as the "disgraced one/the fallen," and his talent to forgo a barrier for his domain expansion reflect his defiled divinity. Gege describes Sukuna's domain expansion as a truly divine technique, which adds even more grandeur to his role as the strongest sorcerer in history. Sukuna's undefeated reign of terror ultimately defines his status as a divine sovereign of jujutsu sorcery.

Sukuna's rule of might defines strength as a destructive force. Comparing yourself to and relying on others only makes you weak, according to Sukuna.

Sukuna figuratively acts as a curse; he will never stop spreading misery upon humanity for as long as he lives. He sees his destruction as a divine and just cause. His strength acts as proof for his righteousness.

As the symbol of the greatest force in the history of sorcery, Sukuna enforces a schism within jujutsu society. In the Heian era, and now in the modern era, Sukuna spurs the rule of might. By threatening carnage, he forces sorcerers to come and meet him in battle to test their strength and knowledge against his own. To avoid the calamity Sukuna threatens, sorcerers must either kneel to him or hope to defeat him. In the Heian era, most of the sorcerers likely chose the former after failing to succeed at the latter. After armies of sorcerers died against him, jujutsu society was forced to praise him as their divine sovereign.

This panel revealed that Uro led the Sun, Moon, and Stars squad.

Here, Kashimo reflects on Sukuna's slaughter of Uro's squad. It's also suggested that Sukuna has weathered an army of Angels. Imagine them stacking Jacob's Ladders on him. No wonder he was able to tank Yuta's with no effort.

Here, you can see the outcome of the calamitous battle that Kashimo was reflecting over in the above page. After their defeat, sorcerers began worshipping Sukuna as a God and praying to him for good fortune. His strength had earned him a divine status among the most powerful of the golden era of sorcery. You can also see that they thought of Sukuna as a monster, which resembles another member of the current cast.

The Yorozu panel reveals that Uro once led the Sun, Moon, and Stars squad that Sukuna slaughtered. The second and third pages above describe Uro's squad as powerful sorcerers who challenged Sukuna and died. Yorozu also once challenged the Fujiwara clan and they made her one of their nobles*. Uro detested the very same Fujiwara clan who apparently subjugated her.

Even in a new life, it's not Sukuna that bothers Uro, it's the Fujiwara clan for killing her.

After her squad's defeat, presumably, the leader of the Fujiwara clan used Uro as a scapegoat to appease Sukuna. Her execution would signal to Sukuna that she acted against his wishes and on her own. These events would explain why in Yorozu's reflections and flashbacks, the Fujiwara clan still remains as a supreme power. Sukuna likely accepted Uro's execution as penance for them challenging him.

Yorozu was supposed to be preparing for the harvest festival being held in Sukuna's honor. There, they would pray to him as a God; Yorozu effectively fell in love with a monstrous deity figure. Given her insect theme, there's grounds for a connection between Yorozu, Sukuna, Mothra, and Godzilla.

After he annihilated Uro's squads, Sukuna became the supreme divine sovereign of jujutsu society in the Heian era and sorcerers were forced to worship him to avoid his ire. To stress his divinity, sorcerers prayed to him for a good harvest as if he were a God. The Fujiwara clan likely executed Uro, a leader of some of the forces that challenged Sukuna, to appease their new divine sovereign. The fealty that was pledged to him likely made Sukuna extremely bored. He wished to spread misery, but his opponents had all lost the will to challenge him and instead begged and worshipped at his feet.

The choice between challenging Sukuna and worshipping him pervades even the modern era. The Jujutsu High political leaders feared Sukuna and his fingers. Even without a real body, Sukuna's cursed energy alone enforced fear and awe into jujutsu society. All sorcerers understood that his return would mean another schism; they would be required to either join him or foolishly challenge as a powerless upstart. Throughout history, sorcerers made binding vows with Kenjaku in order to one day challenge Sukuna, as Uro's squad once did. Others knew better and instead attempted to create a jujutsu society that worked to contain Sukuna in his cursed object form.

Notes:

The manga isn't very specific about what Yorozu's status was, just that she was some type of noble in the Heian capital.

Yorozu and Sukuna being Gege's Godzilla fanfiction is adorable and makes me like her so much more.

Uro's horror in these two pages suddenly make much more sense. Sukuna slaughtered all of her comrades.

Regarding the Kashimo page: I'm simply taking Kashimo's comments "to have achieved so much!" as some form of reaction to the narrator. It could be a metatextual reaction, or he could have learned about this war somehow.

Mermaid AU - Just a mermaid au, this Black Mesa facility is a marine biology branch that repurposed an old oil rig for their facility, Sleepless ends up as a Luna Lionfish :)

Color Swap AU (Sleepwalk) - Basically generally the same as normal MST, but Sleepless and Doc have different reactions to events and Doc is the one that ends up exiled, it's that one au Mothra made that's technically not an au anymore lmao

Monster AU - Sleepless is unknowingly a Bogeyman and ends up moving to a town with other monsters only to end up realizing what he is, and he ends up living a life that is much happier and fuller with the MST :)

Swap AU (Elektro) - The actual swap au, everyone is swapped so Sleepless fell in goop and Doc ends up joining later, Doc ends up later getting cryogenics powers,,,also Sleepless is short because i need just this one thing /silly

Worldstop AU - Hohkay, so, basically, it's Worldstop with the MST BUT, only Doc and Sleepless are the ones with people controlling them, Emmett and Punz respectively, MST are trying to get through the ResCas and Sleepless is a soldier who, for reasons unknown to him, isn't getting any of the orders from the rest of his squad, and he takes it upon himself to travel with the MST to keep them safe(lol lmao) because he thinks they're just regular scientists who need help, and he ends up pretty close with them, but now he and Doc are going through the shared agony of being the avatars for two nerds with a strained friendship playing Half-Life Co-Op while still dealing with the ResCas and the dawning realization that they're in a video game, ngl i don't know a ton about regular Worldstop au so sorry if this isn't completely accurate to that

My Mom is a skilled sewist and used to make Halloween costumes for my sisters and I when we were young. My sister was born on Halloween so we always had costumes and fun celebrations. That started my fascination with dressing up in costume and I always had fun doing it. 

As I got older, my Mom taught me how to sew. In 2010 I saw Alice in Wonderland, and fell in love with the costume designs Colleen Atwood brought to the screen. 

My Mom helped me a lot with making an Alice cosplay, and I went to my first anime convention. I had never been to one, and after that I wanted to go to more. I fell in love with the fun process of making cosplays and have been doing it since. It's a huge part of my life now, and I met both of my partners through cosplay.

Godzilla movies have a special place in my heart. I always loved sci-fi and fantasy, monsters and crazy costumes. Mothra and Battra are my favorites, so when I saw the designs by btanselanoican, I was inspired. It brought back a sense of nostalgia and happiness while making parts of the cosplays. I still have more details that I want to add and fix, but my Mothra cosplay is one of my favorite projects I have worked on in a long time.

It was a long process, and involved many different materials. For Mothra, I started with the wig. It involved a lot of cotton batting and white felt to build up the shape without adding a lot of weight, then shaping the wig fibers over that. I made the antennae out of wire and painted felt. The earrings are made of cut brass and painted beads. For the dress, it was a lot of patterning by pinning fabrics to my dressform, making a first draft, then using that to cut the actual fabric. I made a corset and skirt, and then the robe/dress piece that wraps over that. The skirt started out white, but was then dyed to the right colors. The sleeves were the hardest part to figure out. They were dyed and painted by hand, before being sewn to the dress. There are also a lot of appliqued gold fabric pieces on the dress. I made the belt, and all the shiny belt petals are also hand-cut brass pieces.

The wings are made of wire and old tights, that I then stitched, painted, and shaped to fit along my back.

The staff is made from a PVC pipe and foam base, then I added the electronics. There are green LEDs, and a small 10rpm motor that makes the moth wings move. I covered everything with foam strips, making them look like wood and vines. There are compartments made of foam and magnets, that way I can get to the battery pack or motor if I need to. I then added the paint and flowers. The moths are made of foam, pipe cleaners, painted posterboard, and faux fur. The moth wings are attached to the motor via some old ukulele strings. The monofilament keeps its shape and is light, but also strong. It's fed through old metal brakeline tubing that goes through the staff.

For Godzilla, it was a lot of use of canvas cotton. We found these huge canvas dropcloths at the hardware store, and they were surprisingly soft, but sturdy, after washing them. They have a thick woven texture and take fabric dye really well. We used that for making Godzilla's pants and shirt. The cape was made of thick cotton, cut, weathered, and painted. The spine has LEDs in it that go up into the hood. His chest and hip armor is all actual leather, patterned by hand and stitched together. The chainmail on the hip armor is hand made as well. His arm and leg armor is more canvas and layers of thick fabric. His shoes are leather and layered canvas and cotton. They are made by hand, and if you look on the bottom they have a Godzilla footprint.

All the "claws" on his hand armor and foot pieces are made of bamboo from the backyard. All of the woven rope pieces are cotton wrapped fleece, braided together for a thick and lightweight rope.

The sword is PVC and foam for a base. The lights are two different sets: a LED string light set, and a neopixel setup. The neopixels were soldered by hand, and are controlled by a command board that also controls a speaker. We set it to play Godzilla's roar with custom light animations. It has a plastazote foam to diffuse the lights, and then more EVA foam on top.

When I saw the designs I fell in love with the props, the attention to detail, and the use of color. Plus, I have always loved Dungeons and Dragons, so putting them into that universe was such a wonderful idea. I also look for fun challenges when it comes to props, and Mothra's staff was so beautiful. I couldn't resist.

Having experience in textile studies has helped me so much with my understanding of how different fabrics work with dyes. I used a lot of dye techniques for different parts of these cosplays. Godzilla's pants and shirt were dyed, Mothra's skirt was dyed two different times, the sleeves were dyed, painted with more dye, and then painted again. I don't think I would have been able to make my Mothra cosplay the way I wanted to without that prior knowledge and experience.

The best part is the magic staff. I am so proud of how it turned out and the way the moths move makes me so happy!

The only thing that I get tired of is that occasionally I run into things with the wire wings, and the long dress can make it hard to go through crowds in convention halls.

I am thinking that their species are mostly earth and air-based. But in the Sea Aus they underwent a change that made them mostly aquatic, and in the fells they are always either lava or fire.

Alright yall! Meet three new types of monster! From left to right, the rusalka, the malgoth, and the gleeko!

Rusalka:

The rusalka is a small-medium monster with a frog like skin, one singular eye, and a lily pad with a long drooping leaf on top of its head! This monster is found in most AUs but is absent from the birds AUs. It’s most commonly found in seaswap and theatretale!

These monsters always have a greenish skin and leaf that come in different shades from green blues, pastels, yellow greens, forest greens and green greys. Their magic color is demonstrated in the flower on top of the lily pad and their eyes as well as the webbing between their toes.

They typically stand between 4.5 feet- 5.9 feet. When walking upright, these monsters give a sort of hunchback appearance. They’re much more comfortable hopping on all fours or swimming.

These monsters are quite obviously aquatic. They specialize in both plant and water magics. They’re strong against fire but terribly weak against electricity.

While personalities vary, one thing almost all Rusalka have in common is a love for music. It’s uncertain if it’s simply cultural or truly in their genes, but Rusalka monsters have been music enjoyers and supporters for generations.

Besides their voices, another thing these monsters consider beautiful is their long lily pad leaves which droop around their shoulders and back. It’s said the longer the leaf the stronger the magic.

Malgoth:

The malgoth is a relatively new monster subspecies only appearing in the factory au (mafias). These monsters originated from a mothra and stone golem couple. There are currently only 133 malgoths in ebott right now.

The malgoth is a larger monster. They look like a mothra in the face but have a large abdomen with six legs and two massive mantis like claws from the fluffy mane on their torso. The claws are heavy, so it’s best to walk using the claws as extra legs giving a centaur like stride, but they can walk upright as well. The average malgoth (walking with claws down) stands from between 8-10 feet tall. (Add another 2 feet when upright)

Malgoths are fuzzy everywhere except their claws, legs and some stripes on the lower abdomen. They show their magic color in the stripes and eyes. Their fur can come in almost any color, but whites and greys have been recorded the most. There hasn’t been enough malgoths in history yet to truly say what colors they’re limited to.

These monsters are a strange mix with their golem parents strength and their mothra parents air affinity. While they can’t take to the sky, they can create strong gusts of wind around themselves.

The majority of malgoths are currently factory workers doing the heavy lifting, but there are a few educated individuals as well as the younger generation who have started branching out.

Gleeko:

A close relative of lizfolk, gleeko are a small monster resembling a gecko. They are found in every au but are most common in underfell, fellswap red and grimmtale. They typically stand between 3 -4.5 feet tall.

These lizard like monsters are bipedal with a large fatty tail. Their scales come in any shade, but their magic color is only shown in the eyes and mouth. Their tongues stretch and can reach up to 3 feet depending on the individual.

They’re hardy monsters with good defense and a strong earth affinity. They have a talent for tunneling and many live underground in the mines where business is booming.

The gleeko is an incredibly social monster. They get quite uncomfortable when alone too long and prefer jobs that require a lot of interaction with other monsters and humans. Polyamory is very common with this monster subspecies as well. Poly couples make up the majority of gleeko relationships.

Middlemist:

Middlemist is a young adult Rusalka from baubletale! She is only 30 years old and stands at 5 feet tall. She has a muted grassy green complexion and a soft blue flower and magic.

Middlemist is very stuck in the clouds. She’s a rather distracted sort of person, always caught in the stories she makes up in her head. She’s kind and goofy when you catch her attention though!

Middlemist works in Mettaland as a voice actor in the same cartoon stitches voice acts for. She plays both the main villain and the female love interest character. She’s absolutely obsessed with the cartoon she works for and operates a well known fan blog for it as well

Esther Mogs:

Esther is a malgoth from the factory AU. She is aged 104 years old and stands at 9’1 feet tall (with claws down). She has a pretty very pale pink fur and salmon magic.

Esther is a gentle and guarded character. She was in a rough area before the crash and worked half to death in a concrete factory. The crash was her big break, and taking that opportunity it provided, she managed to get herself in school. She just recently graduated college and got her teaching degree

Esther just started work at a little primary school in ebott city. She works with the younger kids, a mixed group of kindergarten humans and monster children who just got control of their magic. She adores her job so far but can’t help but be skittish around one of the kids parents despite their positive history.

Feller is a tan gleeko from Underwest! He has orange magic and stands at 4’8 feet tall.

Feller is a playful friendly guy. He’s super chatty and loves to hear about people’s stories. Something about him makes others wanna share, and he often winds up as an accidental therapist at the bar lol. He’s madly in love with prairie and is planning how he’s going to romance her with the help of his mate and best wingman genius, another gleeko.

Feller is a farmhand in Goldenvalley. He’s a surprisingly good climber for a gleeko and works on various farms trimming trees and harvesting. When farm work is slow, he makes some killer jam to sell.

Revisiting the ‘Godzilla gets made fun off for liking white meat’ post with some more kaiju favored food ideas!

Mothra loves her fruits and veggies. While she’s not fully vegen she definitely prefers plant-based stuff. It explains why Godzilla teased her with a fruit-filled breakfast in Shamhat.

Rodan and Shimo are rather… deceptive with their favorites. Once she gets a taste of it- Shimo can’t get off the spicy food train. On the other side of the coin, Rodan’s actually never been a fan of spicy food. He actually prefers the BBQ taste- and basically fell in love with Korean BBQ once Vivi showed him it.

For Kong, we’ve covered how he prefers fish over land meat, but the more surprising part of him is actually his favorite beverage. One morning, Kong seemed particularly worn out, probably from the- packed itinerary- on Infant Island, and his general inexperience leading to have not great stamina. Seeing this, Chen slipped him a coffee while she was making her own. Oh man, he was hooked immediately. Drink that tastes awesome, gives him a shitload of energy, and can be made like 1000 different ways? Suffice to say he had a new favorite. His respective partner for the day also probably felt the difference in him too…

Ghidorah’s favorite food is also one of their darkest secrets. Pretty early into their relationship, Maia caught on to San having a pesky sweet tooth. This made sense for San given his nature and Maia found it quite cute. However, when San started dating Rodan in addition (because I think you mentioned that was going to happen at some point?) and he found out- he thought of a crazy possibility… through an experiment involving Vivienne calling in an airdrop of donuts, a hidden camera, and a 4 am stakeout from himself and Godzilla; they found out that all three Ghidorah brothers share a powerful sweet tooth. Ichi and Ni both tore into and devoured all 12 Vivienne had gotten in less than 2 minutes. Ghidorah’s always had a huge weakness for pastries. None of them have idea why, but they all have varying degrees of disdain for their quirk. San’s a tad embarrassed about it, Ni will deny it at every turn, and Ichi gets actively furious at himself whenever he gets a craving like that. Either way, they all have the perception that it’s weak to love and crave something so sweet. After learning this, Rodan seriously considered picking up baking- mainly to be a little shit and further tempt the golden trio; secretly because he wants them to have nice things.

I approve the various tastes in foods our monstrous paramours possess. As for Rodan and Ghidorah, I legitimately forgot about them getting intimate at some point - maybe they'll be a boyfriend on the side while Vivi's the main squeeze?

It's actually mentioned at the end of Chapter 4 that Infant Island is Monarch's best kept secret and that Goji and Mothra have made it a "home away from home," and that the Chens know more about it than Serizawa (or the Legacy of Monsters crew for that matter). The implication being that its location has been handed down throughout the Chen family for generations owing to their connection to Mothra; the small "resort" area has been updated and renovated over time, and it's only now being used as a hub of monsterfucking now that Titans are returning to the world. Specifically it's the sight of an old temple dedicated to one of Mothra's spiritual domains: Fertility.

This is gonna be a weird and rambling story and it’s super cringe but like... the first time I experienced “gender euphoria” was when I wrote a Godzilla slash fic.

Like, I’m a monster guy, so I was always vaguely aware of Godzilla, but when I was a kid I always just assumed that Mothra was my favorite because she was you know, the pretty one and the girl, and as a little homo I related to that. But then when I got older and delved into the series more I really imprinted on Anguirus... like he’s not the flashiest kaiju, he’s just this little dude with a spiky shell, but he’s still willing to take on the world and something about that really got to me. I felt like I understood him.

And that got me thinking about why I was so quick to reject kaiju that weren’t Mothra to begin with and I think it’s because kaiju represent these domineering, masculine forces, and as a young gay man I sort of inherently rejected that because in the very binary world that I was raised in it was either you were a boy or a girl, and I just sort of... defaulted to the girl side because I didn’t fit in with the boys. 

I’ve always felt like I fell into this weird space where I was a cis male, but I didn’t identify with being a cis male? Like, I was comfortable being a man, I just wasn’t comfortable with all that I thought that the label entailed. I’d never felt the urge to be anything else, but I didn’t know if I’d earned the right to be where I was.

But yeah, then I wrote (my first ever!) fanfiction that was like this weird slice of life story where Godzilla and Anguirus get together (don’t @ me) and it was so painfully soft for a story about building destroying kaiju and that softness, I don’t know, sort of unlocked something in me? I had been able to find so much capacity for love inside of literal monsters and it made me realize that I had been looking at masculinity all wrong the entire time. 

Those nasty traits that I grew up scared of were just one side of a coin, and if I flipped them around, I could find things that I related to. 

Isn’t being aggressive just an aspect of being protective? Isn’t anger borne from passion? Aren’t there many kinds of strength? Can’t a monster be a lover, a father, a guardian? And that was like the fundamental shift in perspective that allowed me to embrace being a male. Which sounds so lame, like, “oh I learned to love being cis,” but it is what it is.

Anyways, then I wound up buying this shirt.

He had asked why you thought you were dead and also how asked on how you said it so casually; you had explained even though you would die you would come back from the egg you would lay; which you haven’t yet, and would basically be reborn from that egg or eggs. He was glad that he now have a friend that won’t die but is worried on how completely casual and how it seem so normal you seem to about dieing and getting reborn.

He got so worried that he freaked out over every little thing you did that could ‘hurt’ you when in reality it couldn’t even leave a scratch as you’re always careful about things he seem to be worried about you doing.

He makes sure to always have a monkey following you to keep you safe and to notify him if you need saving from something on flower fruit mountain; plus how can you say no to a cute little monkey that just wants to be your friend.

It wasn’t until a demon of unknown origin tried to ask you out to be his mate is what triggered his overprotectiveness and let his feelings out in the open for you to see; at least you share with him that you also loved him as well but what you didn’t know is that his love is deeper and darker than you thought it could possibly go.

The very same demon was later drowned but you were none the wiser of it entirely as sun had made a clone to do the deed. And since you can’t even go near the water you never knew as you fear that you yourself would drown as you can’t swim in your Imago form. With you being with sun you decide to lay your egg but this time not because you think you would die soon but to start a family with him.

Macaque:

You met him when you appeared passed out in his home that not many know of; he had come home to relax but to have found a sleeping intruder on his couch with moth features and with a wing of moth cloak hanging around you as a sort of blanket for the time being.

He had woken you up and asked many questions, like ‘how you got here?’, ‘Does anyone know of this place as well now?’, and ‘who are you?’ Too which you explain that you don’t know how you got here and that you thought you would do the rebirth cycle in your world, and not that you know seeing as you know that you’re probably the only one brought to this world, and that you’re a deity to a island called infant island and have the ability to rebirth in the eggs you have lay via immortality.

When you had said that you reborn into the eggs you lay when you die made him think of how he was able to live but was so shocked about how many deaths you remember seeing yourself go through and felt worried as he knows that he would never ever want to go through that but you assured him that you’re fine with it as long as you protect your people, which made him more worried about you as you had said it in a casual and normal way like talking about the weather.

Months later and you’re still living with him as per his orders apparently, saying with how many times you had died in the path it would probably be great to finally be able to stay in a safer area were you won’t be able to die anymore and wouldn’t having to worry about laying a egg or two to be reborn into, you of course didn’t agree with this but seeing as he is letting you live here rent free as long as you do some chores and help him you stayed quiet.

He makes sure to keep a tab on you with his shadow clone in case you go outside and get into some trouble from any thugs and robbers in case he’s not there with you.

He makes sure to keep any and all creeps away from as to protect you in case they turn out to be a threat and to make sure that you have eyes on him even if y’all aren’t in a relationship yet but when you do get in a relationship; he seem to get more overprotective than before.

When you do get to lay an egg, it’s just not only to get ready for possible rebirth but to also start a family with him; how many eggs you had lay is 2 which macaque was given the honor to name savage and rumble.

(This is a reference to the two monkeys with macaque even though I have not gotten the book about, I remember seeing something about them my friend confirmed that it was apparently canon; you see I thought they were oc’s considering I haven’t yet read the book journey to the west.)

Mk:

You fell on him when you met him and was being to his world. You apologized over and over again but since he has monkey king’s powers it didn’t really feel like anything worth fretting over so he told you that he was ok and that he was glad that you’re ok as well and that it’s all fine since no one really got hurt.

He was able to convince pigsy to let you stay with them until you were able to live by yourself again, he would have let you sleep on his bed while he slept on the floor but you didn’t want him to have to sleep on the floor as it’s uncomfortable and that you could sleep on the floor; which made him turn your words against you, before y’all settled on both of you sleeping on his bed.

It wasn’t until he found an egg when he learned that you rebirth into those eggs after you die; like a phoenix, which is also the day he became more overprotective each day that had passed.

He would literally be a errand boy for you plus he goes out on deliveries so if you need anything outside of pigsy’s shop/home then he can get it for you! As long as you stay in the apartment safe and sound.

You at first think it sweet before finding it exhausting and restless not being able to get stuff yourself so you compromise and said that when you go out and get things that you need and want then he can come along to ‘protect’ you.

Since he’s able to make clones he decided to make one for his deliveries while the real him stay with you plus be with you when the two of you go out together on a date after you two confessed for each other after a month later.

You had also acquired a job at pigsy’s so the both of you can spend more time together since there’s only one vehicle to deliver. You even learned how to cooked noodles, both to cook for you and mk and to help around the shop in case Pigsy can’t do it at the moment.

Sandy:

You were have wind turbulence and crashed on the deck of his boat when you had come to this world; strange enough it was night instead of day like your world right now, you had tried to float yourself away from it in fear that you could damage something but apparently didn’t when you did in fact crash.

He had found you the next day passed out on the deck and soon took you in and let you sleep on the couch that could turn into a bed; in case he has guest sleeping over, some of the cats took interest of you as you sleep and decided that you’re warm enough to take a little cat nap on you and around you.

When you woke up it was to the smell of delicious food being cooked. You ate all of the portion you were given and then some, apparently he made enough for you to eat and still have leftovers though that’s a problem as you ate it all in 3 rounds.

(Oof now I’m getting hungry myself lol 😂. Ok I ate something so let’s get on with the requests shall we!! 😁.)

You pet the therapy cats to calm your nerves from being away from your people and home while sipping tea made by sandy who you quite enjoy over the time that you spent with being here in his world.

When you told him of the supposed tradition that you do in case your current body dies shocked him and reminded him of his theories with him and his friends since there’s reincarnation involved in both basically, though he grew to be overprotective as he enjoys talking and spending time with you.

His tea also helps calm your nerves like with the cats he has as well; your favorite cat has to be Mo since he looks like sandy. You and sandy get together after some more time together and basically take care of your many cats that are like your children now.

When you do decided to lay an egg or two or more is when the whole lbd event blows over after a month of it being done for and when everything goes back to a somewhat normal pace.

Nezha:

You had appeared in a beam of light and was transported into the room he is currently guarding. You were passed out and didn’t seem like waking up for a good while and plus you don’t carry any weapons so he decided to put you on a soft surface for the time being until you finally wake up and then question you if you’re a threat to the jade emperor, anyone here, or to still the map.

When you finally woke up it was about a week after you got transported here, and when you did he started firing questions one after the other which lead to you having to stop him and calm him down so you can answer them without fail.

You quickly explained how you got here and who you were in your world one at a time with his question; he was at first skeptical and think you’re possibly lowing but realized how you seem insistent on this and decided to give you the benefit of the doubt but made a mental note to always keep a tab on what you’re doing and where you go just in case.

He had to inform the jade emperor and notify him that he would watch you and make sure you’re not a threat by staying close to you; though now that he’s looking back that seem to have backfired as he fell in love with you and would be overprotective when a servant gets near you.

You fell in love with him as well but don’t notice what he’s doing cause of the situation you’re in with trying to get back to your world but apparently that’s harder than said and plus nezha made sure that all your solutions get disrupted and made sure to never let you know.

You decided that it wouldn’t get anywhere and that you would stay here and be with the one you fell in love with over the time you had stayed here.

He was shocked and nervous about how you lay an egg to ensure that insure that you would always be reborn; now he’s more overprotective than before and wouldn’t let you go out alone as to make sure that possibility wouldn’t happen ever again.

Second: Oldest “sibling” (They just have a very close sibling bond, not actually related) Good at almost everything.

Green: “Middle child syndrome”, Musician. Considers Blue his twin.

Blue: Mushroom addiction, covered in bling.

Red: Sweet baby bean, loves animals.

Yellow: Nerd, has a false hand, coughs up red dust occasionally.

Dark: Hands constantly hurt, self doubt, keeps to himself

Chosen: Trying to rebuild relationship with Dark, mentor to Second.

Victim: Mom figure, boosts moral. Fridays are “mimosa mornings”.

Purple: Riddled with guilt, absolutely stunning, wants all the color gang to be his boyfriends.

Mind Corrupt AU

Second: Overwhelmed by grief over loss of others, super charged and aggressive.

Green: Fell into The End abyss, teleports and is blind.

Blue: Drank tainted potion, can’t speak properly.

Red: Under Herobrine’s possession.

Yellow: Lucky Block took over body, spirit floats aimlessly.

Dark: Extreme virus corruption, imprisoned by Second.

Chosen: Mild Virus corruption, imprisoned by Second.

Victim: Glitching out in the void.

Purple: Thrown into End crystal by Second, fragments stuck in his body.

Experiment AU

Second: One experiment blasted head open, a bit brain dead(zombie like), messy vision, slurred speech.

Green: Injected crushed Ender pearls, teleports, don’t look into his eyes.

Blue: Injected with netherwart until it grew out of his body, releases toxic gasses to kill prey.

Red: Escaped capture, trying to find the others.

Yellow: Injected redstone into veins, glows, conducts electricity, neck snapped during testing but redstone kept him alive. 

Dark: 80% of body is replaced with robotics, had a memory wipe.

Chosen: Escaped capture, only goal is to restore Dark’s memory.

Victim: No one truly knows what happened to him. Only Dark knew.

Purple: Code was combined with Ender Dragon DNA, turned into a monster hybrid.

MT: Escaped capture, makes sure Chosen and Red stay safe and tries to help Purple.

Western AU

Second: Newly appointed sheriff, trying his best.

Green: Former thief duo, works with Second, ace black jack player.

Blue: Former thief duo, part time snake oil salesman.

Red: Owns a ranch outside of town, often a target for thieves. Has four trained attack wolves.

Yellow: Inventor from the city, helps Second make the town safer.

Dark: Brains of crime duo, former famous actor.

Chosen: Brawn of crime duo, swooned Dark into a life of crime.

Victim: Local saloon owner, don’t fight in his bar.

Purple: MT’s right hand partner, goes into town undercover sometimes.

MT: Most Notorious outlaw, terrorizes Second’s town.

Cryptid AU

Second: Quetzalcoatl, hadn’t unlocked full powers, travels with Yellow.

Green: Sun deity, awake during day, lives in a sacred pool.

Blue: Moon deity, awake during night, lives in a sacred pool.

Red: Fawn nature nymph, lost parents to human hunters, raised by woodland creatures. Follows Yellow.

Yellow: Cryptozoologist, wants to document every mythological creature on earth.

Dark: Tsuchigumo, stolen from human partner, forced to work for Cryptid hunter.

Chosen: Human, Shrine protector had made friends with Dark and grew to love him. Searches for him now.

Victim: Fenghuan, avoid humans like the plague, watches over Second.

Purple: Mothra, captured and forced to work for Cryptid Hunter. Not active during the day.

MT: Cryptid Hunter, wants to hunt down and kill the rarest cryptids he can find.

Mermaid AU

Second: Seops, Able to produce energy shock wave, separated from biological brother as child, takes care of adopted family.

Green: Roseelo, Stunning shrieks, secret language of clicks and chirps, twins with Blue.

Blue: Roseelo, Same as Green, fondness for plant camouflage, twins with Green.

Red: Iepa, Bioluminescent species, special connection with sea horses.

Yellow: Minea, Scales grow hard as rock for defense. Likes to collect human things. 

Dark: Drigger, Whips tail to sting in defense, mates with Chosen, survived human fishing nets.

Chosen: Zonex, Produces electricity, burns from human toxins, mates with Dark.

Victim: Seops, Second’s older brother, separated due to human hunting, trying to find Second after 15 years.

Purple: Ossel, shoots out ink if startled, kingdom was taken over by MT’s kingdom, serves MT.

MT: Vulan, King of multiple kingdoms he takes over, piercing spines that inject a neuro poison that has a parasitic effect.

Tropical God AU

Second: Fire and Volcano god, has a bit of a temper and hates humans. He gets angry, the volcano erupts.

Green: God of peace and music, likes to hang by the beach and make music.

Blue: Nature god, controls the growth of trees and flowers, his health reflects in the plants.

Red: God of Animals, animals of the island love him, has a baby pig follow him constantly.

Yellow: God of rain and weather, cloud of mist follows him everywhere, mood effects the weather.

Dark: God of War and protection, created a barrier of rocks around the island, spends his time talking with Chosen.

Chosen: God of the Sea, sinks any ships that get too close and get past the rock defense.

Victim: God of fertility, love and tranquility, keeps balance and harmony in the island, helps soothe the worries of the others.

Purple: Hired by MT to help him, not as keen on hurting the gods.

MT: Rich explorer who wants to plunder the riches of the island and claim the land for himself.

Demon Familiar AU

Second: King of a land who demoralizes any type of dark magic. Unfamiliar with the world outside and sets off on a journey, accidentally summons two demons.

Green: Demon bonded to Blue, secretly in love, keeps Blue from touching dangerous plants.

Blue: Local alchemist who travels with Second, oblivious to Green’s love.

Red: Poor townsperson who has been able to talk to animals since he was a baby. Travels with Second.

Yellow: Bonded to Red, fights methodically and expertly. Doesn’t like Green.

Dark: Bonded to Second, victim of a priest attack, expert in imp magic.

Chosen: Bonded to Second, cleansed by a priest, unable to touch Dark until he gets rid of the cleansing. 

Victim: Fallen Angel, lost in a battle with MT. Nervous around other demons.

Purple: Social outcast, sacrificed his eye to summon an arch devil to grant him power for revenge.

MT: Bonded to Purple, controls all lesser demons and hates humanity. 

Sovereign AU

Second: Prince of Drinelle, being prepared for taking over the kingdom, nervous about the conflict, has been set up for an arranged marriage.

Green: Knight of Drinelle, serves under King Chosen as captain of the guard. Quested to track down the Mushroom Witch.

Blue: Witch who lives in a forest. Able to cure curses, hexes and charms for a price.

Red: Prince of Frezza, King Mango’s baby brother. Pure innocent bean who gets almost anything, has two giant wolves as pets. Being set up for an arranged marriage.

Yellow: Prince of Drinelle, The youngest prince, more focused in being a scholar than being a ruler. 

Dark: Prince of Vormin, was hated by his own kingdom for being born with dark magic. Has had several attempts on his life.

Chosen: King of Drinelle, Childhood friends with Dark, at conflict with King Mango, cares about his brothers’ safety. 

Victim: King of Vormin, Adores his younger brother and just wants to protect him from danger.

Purple: Royal advisor to King Mango, acts as a sort of baby sitter for Prince Red.

MT: King of Frezza, vindictive and terrifying tyrant. Becomes a bit soft around his baby brother and threatens any potential suitors. 

Robot Escape AU

Second: The only human left on Earth, needs to get to a ship to rejoin the remaining humans in another galaxy.

Green: Retired music robot, scheduled for destruction, had voice box removed, can communicate through sounds.

Blue: Retired garden robot scheduled for destruction, became obsolete when plant life was terminated.

Red: Retired animal caretaker robot scheduled for destruction, became obsolete when animal life was terminated.

Yellow: Retired mechanic robot scheduled for destruction, wants to help Orange escape.

Dark: Defective battle drone, used by MT as a hunter. Vicious when safety protocols are removed.

Victim: Core of the city, without him the entire planet would collapse and stop functioning. Naïve about the outside world.

Purple: MT’s personal battle drone. Newest model designed to detect humans.

Considering the new lore established in the novelization, don’t you think Goji was a bit of a dick for also being responsible for the near-extinction of the Kongs? Or do you think he did it by no choice, after he failed to establish peace with Kong’s species without starting a war?

Mmmmm, no. I don’t think he’s a dick for it. For context, the excerpt from the book (Jia’s signing it, she’s reciting an Iwi legend. Long Ago Below = Hollow Earth, Zo-zla-halawa = Iwi name for Godzilla) says this:

“Zo-zla-halawa, he lived in the Long Ago Below, like Kong, like us. He ate a star there and it make him evil. He could throw rays of the star out of his mouth and burn things. So it was decided he could not live in the Long Ago Below. Iwi and Kong made made bonds of friendship. Become one people to fight Zo-zla-halawa. They fought for a long time, trying to make him leave. Something went wrong, I think? Someone broke a taboo, maybe. Anyway, Kong and Iwi traveled together in darkness until we reached the light of this place. We left all of the bad people behind, and Zo-zla-halawa, with his stomach star, too. There was peace for a while, but then some monsters followed us. The Skullcrawlers and some others. Kong’s parents fought them. So did Kong.”

Just to get it out of the way, it’s heavily implied that Goji’s powers/atomic breath was the result of him consuming some sort of ‘star’ that fell from the stars and now lives inside him. AKA The Big Dumb Lizard ate a fucking alien meteorite and gained superpowers. It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard and I love it so much.

Anyways, yeah. This legend is obviously biased, because it’s an ancient Iwi story. (Calling Goji evil.) Honestly, it feels to me like the Kongs were the most advanced and powerful Titans at the time. So when Goji consumed the ‘star’, they felt their status was threatened by the power he now wielded and they wanted to kill him or drive him out before he could usurp them from the Alpha position. Unfortunately for them, apes are not fireproof and Goji has a lot of fire to spare. 

I will say too, the mural showing the ancient rivalry stuff clearly had Mothra fighting on Goji’s side. It’s made explicitly clear that she is one of the more benevolent kaiju and upholds the same respect for balance that Goji does. It might be personal bias but I don’t believe Mothra would kill without reason or purpose, even more so than Goji. It’s also clear she can ignore Alpha calls (Leaving Ghidorah on read) and wouldn’t be forced to obey Goji if she didn’t feel that what he was doing was necessary/just.  I’m not really sure what the ‘something went wrong/taboo’ part is referring to, but I’m sure someone smarter than me has ideas or an explanation. 

So, even with the Iwi bias, I believe both sides were at fault in different ways. But was Goji the sole creature to blame? Certainly not. The Kong’s wanted to maintain their power, as those in positions of power often do when their control is threatened, and they paid dearly for it. Do I agree with almost all of Kong’s species being wiped out? Definitely not. (Another note, it wasn’t like Goji just mowed through Kongs and killed them all in on go, they clearly made a bunch of axes from his scutes and held their own.) It’s definitely a morally grey conflict that I’m not sure we’ll really be able to pick a true bad guy on.

trying something out! a couple of my favorite things that ive discovered/want to recommend, month by month and me ranting and raving about it :]

★ i may have recommended them on this blog before but i spent the last half of 2021 falling in love with the shanghai restoration project. 

my absolute favorite song by them is tactile sonic glide, which is the second video linked! yes it is 14 minutes long

★ in a similar vein to TSRP’s music, i just recently (like this week) started listening to eyeliner’s album buy now. 

★ getting very Very into dungeon synth(???) recently. or at least, a genre i think is called that since a lot of these songs are tagged with that. dark medieval-y sounding chiptune music. sometimes straight up lo-fi metal.  here is moorstepper, book of skelos, warduke, knife wrath, and mothra. 

★ if youve watched wwdits, you might be familiar with the one end credits song: no vampires (remain in romania) by king luan. im happy to share that the rest of his songs keep that energy.

★ i think most people hopefully know worthikids as an animator (big top burger, captain yajima, that one final pam video...) but i am so so fucking into his music. particularly the song dullahan. like.... a Lot. like very much a lot. id write a perfumed letter to worthikids about how much i like this song if that weren't so creepy. 

★ apparently crystal castles was fairly popular in the early 10s indie scene (which is a reductive sentence i know) but i just discovered them and fell in love. my favorite song is cry babies. which is only available on youtube as far as im aware :(

★ i think shes fairly popular but i have to include her bc i listened to rina sawayama’s album SAWAYAMA on repeat 10x while working in the lab this year

★ kishi bashi! i think philosophize with it! chemicalize with it! will forever define this past summer living at my dads house.

★ rantasmo. most of his channel is his “needs more gay” series, which is him talking about genres, movies, books, and concepts that have explicit gay history, subtext, or culture surrounding them.

★ queer serial! so far, ive only listened to the first 2 seasons, which mostly talk about the mattachine society. its an episodic telling of LGBT american history, from some of the first documented gay rights groups, up to stone wall. it is so informative and has given me such a broader idea of the world at large. i would highly recommend it. 

i think thats enough post for now :] let me know if you have any suggestions for Stuff if you think i might like it based off anything on this post. ended up being mostly music, which is fine. i think next month ill include a lot more artists and animators >:}
