I love being a twelve girl because it gets you accustomed to having to critically engage with doctor who. like his run gave us heaven sent, the zygon inversion, some of the best written lines of the show full stop. missy is my favourite incarnation of the master, she’s so complicated and beautiful and tragic and brilliantly acted. bill is probably my favourite companion and i would have watched a billion seasons of her (even if the actual season she was in was kinda mediocre as a whole). twelve’s run also has aspects that walk the line between good and questionable; Clara is a deeply subjective companion depending on how you view her, what you think Moffat’s intentions with her were. and also there was some total garbage. kill the moon is terrible. poor danny’s arc is just genuinely stupid. and every time i talk about the fact that Capaldi is my favourite doctor i inevitably descend into a long rant about the stupid fucking space monks plot line and how much i hate the stupid space monks and want them to explode and why was it three fucking episodes i hate them i hate them so much Moffat when i find you i will put you in a blender. why did you let that arc even exist during s10 but also then again, that man wrote heaven sent. so i guess i must spare him. but the fucking monks are getting blended.
