#I DON'T CARE HOW POLITE YOUR SOCIETY IS NOW THAT IT'S FORCED TO BE

The longer I stay on the internet, the more I realize why my dad devolved from legitimate thoughtful arguments with others to just straight up telling people to off themselves. Some people have opinions they just... they just have no right to have and it's somehow more insulting than if they were just stupid, and it's legitimately terrifying how many of them there are sometimes and how that number reflects on policy all over.

I'm not ready for act 3 😚
Tumblr media
People go missing sometimes.
It's a part of modern life. Even in a city as enforced as Piltover, a city as patrolled and watched as Piltover- it happens. There are still monsters that roam alleys, or wear uniforms as camouflage. There are still tragedies in everyday life. Despite seeming so very distant when they're plastered on newspapers, or milk cartons, they happen. They're real.
But people like Jayce are not supposed to go missing.
Maybe it's selfish to say that. Maybe it's something that's meant to go unspoken, the fact that some people are considered more important by society. That some people have more privilege, more protection from the uncaring nature of catastrophe.
And yet, despite Jayce's renowned status, the man of progress, despite him holding the gaze of Piltover itself- he's gone missing.
You're not sure how long it's been. How many sullen days have passed, searching, even in the unlikeliest of places, for a sign. A message. A murmur would do. The weeks have simply collapsed into each other, a sinkhole of hours.
You too, following the hours, have collapsed into yourself. The days spent wrapped in cloak roaming Zaun for information have little difference to the days spent curled in bed like a discarded child's toy. Every minute is one, bound together by pure desperation, utter confusion, and endless despair.
Because how could he have just... Vanished?
Just like that, a man of yesterday. It seems that the city is too caught up in political tribulations to care about his disappearance. Some haven't even noticed it. On your endless quest for information, more than once you've received the response, Jayce Talis? I didn't even know he was missing.
But you haven't given up. Not yet. Despite the circles under your eyes, the new strain in your shoulders. Despite the ever-growing pit in your stomach. For what else is there to do but search? Even if you 'gave up', you'd be looking for his shadow in the street, searching for his image in the crowd whilst trying to wipe it from your memory.
You run a hand down your face, curl into the covers that bit more. A knock at the door forces your tired eyes to re-open. Fatigue in your very self argues against moving, and for a a few moments getting out of bed seems the most difficult task in the world. But the knock comes again, harder. With some garbled noise you crawl out the covers as though emerging from a cocoon, movements lethargic like those of a dying animal.
The first lock comes undone with the work of your fingers. Then the next. Your hand hesitates, though, as it grasps the doorknob, your mind considering the swathe of potentials, an unwanted bouquet of sorts. A sales pitch? A concerned visitation? An enforcers questioning eye?
Or- maybe, a new lead. Unlikely, but it's enough to force your hand.
What greets you is none of those things.
You don't recognise him at first- what, with the tattered clothing, the deep-set frown, the beard as messy as his hair.
As soon as he looks up, though, when those terribly familiar eyes reach yours, the confusion evaporates. Boils away to unearth a passion you can hardly hold; it makes your hands shake, your eyes line with tears, your mouth dry in wordless ecstasy. His name leaves your lips as a whisper, and his gaze falters from yours, the soft reality at complete odds with the one he's settled in. The one with sharp edges, with blood and steel as key elements, not butter and affection.
Jayce's face twists, the onset of tears, and all at once he reaches forward to pull you into himself. Hides his sadness in the crook of your neck, his hammer clunking to the ground beside him. You hadn't even noticed he was holding it. His hands run to your waist, pulling at the fabric to ascertain its reality, but he finds it inadequate. He reaches under your shirt, his warm hands against your skin, and he sighs instead of sobbing.
He's not sure if he can anymore. If that part of him survived the Arcane.
But he's here, now. With you. His hands roaming your back, your arms thrown around his neck. Like the pose from a romance novel. The thought drags some whimper of humour from him, and he thinks that's a good sign.
He smells of oil and iron. Earthy. He mumbles about how much he missed you, right into your ear, breath hot. You think you're crying, though you're not entirely certain. The sensations in your body, your mind, overlap into something abstract to the point that crying seems like a spiritual experience. Like the word crying is unable to describe the motion, the true feeling.
You pull him inside, the door slamming shut a reminder of reality, the loud noise binding you to earthly sensation. The questions that fall from your lips are boundless, piles upon piles of vocalised mysteries that Jayce can't seem to answer coherently. You sit him down, push his hair from his face and cup his jaw tenderly. Tenderly as though he could break any second, but from that newfound fire in his eyes, from the dirt staining his skin, you know such a thought is ludicrous. Peeling off his tattered overcoat and the flimsier shirt underneath reveals bruising you could never even picture before now. The curves and hard muscle of Jayce now stained purple, now scarred in places that'd been smooth perfection beforehand.
A part of him, he thinks, should perhaps be insecure of your wandering eyes, your wandering fingertips. He's changed. His body has been torn, battered, bruised. No longer made of marble, but of flesh.
But your eyes are gentle. Concerned, but gentle. When you settle into his lap to hold him close again, to press desperate kisses against his lips, against his neck, he feels he can never leave your side again. Feels an avalanche of guilt for doing so in the first place, despite the decision not exactly being his own.
Whatever comes next, he knows he'll have you. You know you'll have him. And in this moment, your foreheads together, eyes searching each others for the things that can't be felt with words, you both know that it'll be enough.

hi !! I don't know if you are taking any Bridgerton request at the moment but if you are could you write one where Benedict and reader were courting but he started to spend less time with her so she wears a revenge dress to one of the balls and gets a lot of attention so Benedict gets a bit jealous? with a happy ending please
A/n: Man I cannot remember the last time I've written for Bridgerton.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It hurt, seeing someone you cared about slowly pull away from you so when it was announced a ball be thrown you'd decided to set your own plan into motion and you'll make him see.
The ballroom was alive with music and laughter, the chandeliers were casting a golden glow over the swirling mass of dancers. Benedict Bridgerton had barely stepped through the grand entrance when he spotted you.
And he almost forgot how to breathe.
You were stunning...no that wasn't the correct word, you were devastating. The deep sapphire gown you wore clung to you in a way that left nothing to the imagination yet remained utterly tasteful. The delicate lace along the bodice highlighted the graceful curve of your collarbone, and the rich color made your eyes shine brighter than any star in the sky.
He swore you stole his breath away.
But it wasn’t just the dress—it was you. The confidence in the way you held herself, the way you smiled just enough but never too much, and the way every gentleman in the room seemed to gravitate towards you as if drawn by some invisible force.
Benedict clenched his jaw, fingers tightening around the glass of champagne in his hand as he watched another man—a Lord he didn’t even recognize—lean in closer, his gaze lingering far too long.
Your laugh ringing in his ears as you turned your head away shyly.
He hadn’t meant to let things slip between them. Between his art, his family obligations, and the pressures of society, he had let the days turn into weeks, and the weeks into something dangerously close to neglect. You had been patient, always so understanding, but now… now he saw the consequences of his absence. No...that was a lie, those weren't the reasons.
You were his best friend, more than his best friend and when Benedict realized that he started to pull away, he started to pull away because it scared the ever loving shit out of him.
And now you weren't waiting for him anymore.
He should have known better. Should have seen that you wouldn’t sit idly by while he withdrew into himself. You had always been too brilliant for that, you didn't deserve any of that.
And now, every man in the room knew it too.
Benedict downed the rest of his drink, barely tasting it, before setting the glass aside and moving through the crowd. He wasn’t reckless like Anthony, nor as effortlessly charming as Colin, but what he lacked in their methods, he made up for in quiet determination.
You still laughing when he reached you, a soft, melodic sound that sent another wave of jealousy coursing through him. That made his heart beat a bit faster, sent his pulse racing.
“May I have this dance?” His voice was smooth, but there was a weight to it—a claim beneath the polite words.
You turned, the laughter in your eyes flickering when you met his gaze. “Oh? I thought you were otherwise occupied this evening.”
He exhaled slowly, forcing himself to keep his composure. “I was a fool.”
Your brow arched. “I won’t argue with that.”
A smirk tugged at his lips despite himself. “Then let me prove to you that I am your fool.”
For a moment, yoi studied him, as if weighing whether or not to make him suffer just a little longer. But then, with a small sigh, you placed your hand in his.
“Try to keep up, Bridgerton.”
And as he led you to the dance floor, the rest of the room faded away—because there, in his arms, was the only world that had ever truly mattered.

GUYS. MEN. BOYS.
and other people that have awful dating website pictures and profiles.
Please, make an effort. Girls don't swipe left because they're superficial and wouldn't understand you. They swipe left because your profile is either uninspiring or you look like a serial killer.
Just. Make an effort.
YOUR PICTURE.
Please learn how to take a selfie. This is the right selfie angle:
Tumblr media
Up, and a little bit to the side. You want a nice 3/4 view from above, it hides the double chin, gives your face definition and depth, and looks way better than just a front picture. Learn how to take selfies like a girl, we look amazing in them.
Don't take it from too close, you need to stretch that arm. You need to frame your full head, neck and shoulders.
The white light from the bathroom will highlight all your redness, your pimples, your face imperfections. You want a nice warm light with yellow tones, not white. Or maybe natural light, go stand next to a window.
Tumblr media
The left picture is an immediate no. The right picture is a 'He seems nice, I'll read his profile.'
If you have one of these photos in your profile, sure, just don't make it the first one people will see.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sunglasses-and-hat combo hides you. And we honestly don't care about the fish, no matter how huge it is.
YOUR LOOKS
Contrary to general belief, women don't systematically go for traditionally handsome guys. But they do go for well groomed ones. And it's not even that hard, the bar is in hell.
Clothes: wear something clean that fits you nicely. You can look presentable no matter your weight or musculature if you wear the right clothes.
Hair: If you have very thin and lifeless hair, and sometimes a receeding hairline, wearing it long and untied does not help you at all. It makes you look like RiffRaff from Rocky Horror.
Tumblr media
A good haircut can frame your face, highlight your best features. There is no bad hair, only bad haircuts. And don't worry if you're greying or going bald, women don't judge your hair like that. But a bad haircut can make you look like a serial killer.
Also, please, no fedoras or trillbys. They're a red flag and also don't look good on anyone.
And trim that beard.
OTHER PICTURES
You don't need a lot. A good, first photo should be your face, well lit, smiling. You're not aiming for pretty, you're aiming for 'functional member of society'. You just need to look like a normal person.
For the others, try some photos doing the activities you like to do. Don't force the gym photo if it's not really your lifestyle, we're not that impressed anyway. But photos doing the things that you love, that's what will change a 'maybe' into a 'oooh I also like doing that!'. And don't worry about nerdy pictures, if the girls are nerds they will like it. I've swiped right many times when I see cosplay.
YOUR PROFILE
Now, a man is his own worst enemy. Women on dating websites are already open to try, but men so often shoot themselves in the foot.
Don't write something negative about women in general, relationships sucking, your ex, etc etc. If someone has reached your profile text, they don't want to read your bitching. They don't know you, they don't care.
You need to be polite, nice, approachable. Interesting. Tell what you like to do in life, and what you're looking for. It's not hard:
'Hi! I'm Mark, I'm back on this dating app, hoping this time will be the right one! I work a boring desk job, but what I really love is reading weird horror novels, playing retro games, and trying new recipes. I have two dogs, who rule my world. I'm open to new friendships, would like a steady relationship in the end.'
It's that simple.
Also: MAKE UP YOUR MIND ABOUT WANTING KIDS OR NOT.
If I see another profile of a guy who's 40 and still undecided, I will burn down a building. Women need to know if they want kids or not because we have a deadline. They're looking for this in a guy's profile. Wether you want kids or not, write it somewhere.
Don't explicitely talk about sex in your profile, it's creepy. We don't know you. Also, if you manage to chat with a woman, don't start asking questions about sex right away, that never works. You need to understand that we deal with so many creeps. Please don't be another one.
So, tl;dr:
You need to look and talk like a normal, functional human being, who has a job, and hobbies.
You don't need to be extremely handsome, you just need to not scare them away. Dating websites are so full of badly taken pictures and creeps, that seeing just a normal dude who likes dogs is a relief.
The bar is in hell. The effort required to rise above the creeps and weirdoes is minuscule. Go take a well-lit selfie.

Arcane women x reader who is part of the du Couteau family? Please! I really need it.
Arcane Women x Du Conteau reader Headcannons
Tumblr media
Warnings ⚠️: Mentions of violence, family expectations, mentions of alcohol , mentions of combat, angst.
Characters: Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn,Sevika, Mel.
-Vi
Tumblr media
●"Damn, sweetheart, didn't take you for the highborn type. Thought you'd be too busy drinking wine with stuck-up nobles to get your hands dirty."
●Vi doesn't trust you at first. A du Conteau in Zaun? Sounds like trouble. Your family name alone sets off alarms in her head, and she expects you to be just another power-hungry Noxian. But once she sees you in action - fighting with precision, unshaken by the chaos of the Undercity- she starts to respect you.
●She loves sparring with you. Your technique is polished, refined, and deadly, whereas she fights with brute strength and street-learned aggression. You get under her skin when you dodge her punches with ease, smirking as she grits her teeth. "You gonna hit me, or are you just dancing around?" You taunted.
●Vi might not fully understand Noxian politics, but she knows what it's like to have a name that carries weight. If your family disapproves of her, she won't lose sleep over it. "They can come over after me if they want. Won't change a damn thing."
●She calls you "princess" as a joke, especially when you get a little too proper about something. But she loves seeing the ruthless side of you - it reminds her that you're not just some delicate noble.
-Caitlyn
Tumblr media
●"The Du Conteau family... I assume you're well-versed in both politics and combat?"
●Caitlyn is intrigued by you. She knows about Noxian nobility and the weight your last name carries, and she's immediately assessing whether you're a threat or an ally.
●She admires your tactical mind. Whether it's tracking criminals or navigating the web of Piltover High Society, you're a strategist at heart. The way you analyze a room, assess power dynamics, and remain composed in tense situations reminds her of herself.
●Your combat skills fascinate her. You move like a ghost, striking with precision and efficiency. If she ever watches you fight, she studies your every movement, fascinating by how different yet efficient your technique is.
●The two of you have intense discussions about justice, power, and the differences between Piltover and Noxus. You challenge her ideals, forcing her to think beyond Piltover's black-and-white morality.
●She's protective of you, even though she knows you can handle yourself. If someone insults you for your Noxian background, she'll shut them down instantly. "Judge them by their actions, not their name."
-Jinx
Tumblr media
●"Wait, wait, wait - you're telling me you're some kinda fancy- pants assassin noble? Pfft, that's hilarious!"
●Jinx finds the idea of a Du Conteau hanging out in Zaun ridiculous - and endlessly entertaining. She mocks you at first, calling you "Lady Stabby Stab" or "Dagger Duchess," but once she sees what you can do, her interest skyrockets.
●She loves pushing your buttons. If you're the serious type, she's constantly messing with you, testing your patience. "What happened if I steal one of your fancy little daggers? Ooo, are you gonna assassinate me? Spooky!"
●But deep down, she respects you. You're dangerous, calculated, and not easily rattled. Even when she's at her most chaotic, you don't flinch. That both excites and unnerves her.
●If you ever show a wilder side - reckless, ruthless, or unpredictable - Jinx is hooked. She thrives on chaos, and if you embrace some of that, she'll see you as a kindred spirit.
●She adores the contrast between you and her. A trained, disciplined noble choosing to spend time with a manic, volatile criminal? Now that's a story.
-Sevika
Tumblr media
●"Hmph. A noble walking around Zaun? Either you're lost, or you're looking for a fight?"
●Sevika isn't impressed by your name or your staus- Zaun doesn't care about Noxian nobility. What does impress her is strength, amd you? You have that in spades.
●She doesn't waste time with pleasantries. If you want her respect, you have to earn it. A fight is usually the fastest way. If you hold your own, she'll smirk and say, "Maybe you're not just some spoiled brat after all."
●She likes drinking with you. If you can handle strong Zaunite liquor without flinching, she'll give you a nod of approval. If you do flinch, expect some teasing.
●If she sees that you're tired of noble politics and the weight your name, she'll simply say, "Then stop pretending. You don't owe them a damn thing." Sevika doesn't care about legacy - only survival.
●She's fiercely protective once she sees you as her own. If anyone dares to threaten you in Zaun, she'll handle it- violently.
-Mel
Tumblr media
●"A Du Conteau? How... fascinating."
●Mel recognizes your name immediately. The Du Conteau are known in Noxian circles, and she loved the intrigue of it all.
●The two of you engage in sharp conversations. Every word is deliberate. Every glance calculated. It's like a game of chess where both of you are five moves ahead.
●She admires your strategic mind. If you play the political game well, she'll be even more drawn to you. Power is attractive, and you know how to wield it.
●She appreciates beauty, and if you carry yourself with grace and confidence, she'll take notice. Expect lingering touches, soft compliments, and knowing smirks.
●"You're family values strength above all else. Tell me, my dear - where do you find your strength?" Mel doest just want you to know your skills; she wants to understand you
●If your family disapproves of your association with her, she's utterly unbothered.
●"Let them watch, I enjoy an audience."

how I met your mother - Gojo Satoru
Tumblr media
dad!Gojo x fem.reader
Summary: I recently found out that many TV series and other Manga/Anime are canon in JJK - How I Met Your Mother included - and I couldn't stop thinking about how Gojo would re-enact the thing after watching it. Moreover, all of you deserve some teeth-rotting fluff after that horrifying manga chapter. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
"Why am I here?" Megumi asked with irritation laced through his voice as he sat down on the couch, beside the two white-haired rascals he calls his siblings.
"I'm gonna tell you guys the story of how I met your mother!" Gojo exclaims as he sits on his desk chair, in his office at Jujutsu Tech. The desk usually sits in the corner, right beside the window, but now is pushed in front of the couch, so that he can sit face to face with his children, the setup similar to the one in his recent favorite American TV show, How I Met Your Mother. The only difference is that the whole scenario is not played in his home office, but the one at his actual workplace, because you declared your home a Jujutsu-Free Zone.
"Gojo-Sensei..." Megumi sighs as he starts rubbing his forehead with annoyance "I was five when the two of you got together, I heard the story of how you two met a million times, this is not new to me." he explains as three sets of cerulean blue eyes gawk at him from all directions.
"Mama..." the two-year-old girl sitting on Megumi's left puffs with a ridiculously adorable pout on her face as soon as she hears the mention of her mother, and the five-year-old boy on the other side of the couch whiffs the air aggressively with the plush sword his father was forced to buy him on their way to the school.
"I know, Megumi, but this is a special occasion, you're gonna sit through the whole thing again so that you can experience this amazing fairytale with your beloved siblings." the tall sorcerer explains and his attention turns to his beloved daughter, Munchkin as he refers to her. The little girl slowly climbs into Megumi's lap, the boy instinctively helping her settle down as he embraces her lightly from behind, tickling her sides, and the room is filled with childish laughter. His son, or as he refers to him, Nugget, drops the toy from his tiny hands and huffs in annoyance, suddenly jealous of his sister's ability to gain the undivided attention of his favorite person, his older brother. "Now, all of you pay attention."
It was his first day at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Given his extravagant upbringing, Gojo Satoru was a self-centered douchebag with a horrible attitude. He first met Geto Suguru, the only friend he ever claimed he had, the dark-haired sorcerer with a warm smile and polite demeanor, the polar opposite of him. The two formed an unbearable duo and as soon as you walked into the classroom with the three first-year students, four months after the school year began, you knew you had to keep yourself as far away from the boys as possible. You became good friends with Shoko though, the two of you had plenty of common interests and your personalities were similar as well.
You tried avoiding Gojo at all times, you thought he was irritating based on his behavior in class and his rude comments behind your back, ones he whispered to Geto, making your dark-haired classmate laugh obnoxiously. However, Your efforts to stay as far away from him were proven to be useless when Yaga paired the two of you for a mission.
"So, why is a clan princess like you avoiding the strongest sorcerer of her time? Didn't your family tell you about the power and influence my family holds over the jujutsu society?" he asks you cockily and you chuckle dismissively at his words.
"I'm not a clan princess, Gojo! On the contrary... I come from a family of non-sorcerers and I was an outcast my whole life because I kept seeing things that others couldn't." you said as you kept hitting the curse with sharp daggers that you wielded in the air with your cursed technique "And I don't care about your power or your privilege, because I'm only here to help others." you make your point even clearer as you throw your last dagger with extra force, exorcising the curse without breaking a sweat.
"And that was the moment..." Gojo begins to explain to his overly bored children, but Megumi interrupts him.
"... when you realized you wanted to pursue the only girl that ever gave you attitude, a.k.a. Y/n. We know, it's getting boring."
"Don't roll your eyes at me, Megumi! This is an amazing story about the two people that raised you. Show some respect!" Satoru exclaims with an offended expression and Munchkin hides her face in her tiny hands, thinking that she is the one who is being scolded, trying to hide from her father's light-hearted attempt at discipline.
"Papa, can we have Splendid Sushi?" the white-haired boy asks, boredom evident from his facial expression.
"Nugget, you just ate before we came here." Satoru pouts, clearly disappointed in his kids.
"I know, I'm still hungry."
"I'm gonna wrap this story up quickly and we can go eat after." he gives in, a sad expression on his face.
After that moment you shared on your mission, Gojo changed. He was still annoying and arrogant, but he tried acting like a decent human being around you. In one instance Suguru explained that the remarks they exchanged with each other were making fun of Yaga-Sensei, not you. He felt the need to clarify that after Satoru complained to him about how much you seemed to hate his guts.
These things shed a different light on Gojo, you noticed how he was very attentive when it came to the small details you shared about yourself when the four of you first years were hanging out. He also ensured that you got home safe whenever you went out as a group and he even gave you his jacket so that you wouldn't catch a cold.
He also started complimenting you, your looks, your advancement with your technique, and he thoroughly enjoyed how you blushed every time he called you sweetheart or any other nickname he came up with on the spot. However, you were stubborn, even more challenging than some curses he fought.
"I'm gonna wife you up one day, sweet girl! Even if it's the last thing I do." he whispers into your ear as your head is resting on his shoulder while you're being driven home by an auxiliary assistant from a challenging mission. He thought you were sleeping, but you could hear his muffled words and your lips curled into a slight smile. Because Satoru was good, kind-hearted, and loving in his dorky, obnoxious way.
"Papa, where is Mama?" Munchkin asks with tears in her eyes, clearly distressed from the long period of time she had to endure without her Mama. And the only thing Satoru can do is get up from his chair, walk towards his little baby and embrace her with his strong and bulky arms, trying to comfort her, because he knows exactly how terrible it feels being away from you. He coos at her lovingly, kissing her chubby cheeks and he sits back down to continue with his story. He also puts out his hand, using blue to fetch a pink fluffy blankie he keeps in his office. Megumi rolls his eyes at this, he finds it annoying how Gojo uses his techniques so unnecessarily.
A month after Satoru's not-so-secret confession, at Nanami Kento's birthday party, it happens. Your first kiss. For the most part, the party goes terribly for both of you. He is standing in a corner, drinking seltzers orange soda furiously as he observes how a third-year is trying to hit on you with cringey pick up lines that make Gojo want to throw up. You seem uncomfortable with his advances, but Satoru doesn't intervene, because he has no right to. You two are not dating, you are just very close friends. Nothing less, certainly nothing more. However, as that idiot steps closer to you and you try to bring an end to his flirting, Satoru observes the deep discomfort in your eyes and the twirling of your hands, trying to wield some glass shards with your technique from the broken bottle spilled onto the floor. He decides to intervene, and with a single clap of his hands, he's beside you, his fingers slip into yours, stopping you from using your technique, knowing that using it without permission on school grounds could get you in trouble. The third-year leaves instantly once Gojo arrives and there you stand in front of the white-haired sorcerer with thankful eyes.
"Thank you, Satoru!" you say and from the many shots of sake cups of tea you had, you gain a newfound courage within you to get on your tiptoes and kiss his cheek. Or so you think, because in the last moment, he turns his head and your lips land on his. It's a short kiss, basically a peck, but the sobering reality of the consequences of your actions hits you like a train.
"I'm sorry, that was a mistake..." you mutter and you run out of the party, leaving him there disappointed.
After that, you don't talk to each other for two weeks. Gojo tries in the beginning, but you stop all of his attempts because you are too ashamed of your actions. After a while he becomes petty himself, claiming that it's for the better and saying the two of you wouldn't have lasted in the first place. He does it in the usual Gojo fashion, making sure that you hear every word leaving his mouth. He wants you to hurt just as much as he is, but as soon as he spots the puffy, red circles under your eyes, he regrets ever being mean towards you.
"Dada, why you make Mama cry?" the toddler in his lap looks at him curiously, her lips in a pout, clearly disappointed with her father.
"Hey! That's not true, Mama made me cry first, Munchkin."
"You never cried in your life, Gojo." Megumi intervenes and if Satoru could kill with his Six Eyes, he would annihilate the Fushiguro kid right now.
"Is the story over, Papa? You said we'd go to Splendid Sushi after." Nugget whines once again and Satoru knows he has to finish up soon, otherwise, his son is going to throw a tantrum.
Satoru rushes into the medical ward upon hearing the news. You went out on a mission alone and you were brought back by Yaga himself, on a stretcher. He doesn't know any more details than that, but he's frantic. As soon as he spots you on one of the disgustingly hard hospital beds, being treated by Shoko with blood running down your beautiful face, Satoru is standing beside you, holding your hand. You are unconscious, but it doesn't matter, his six eyes tell him that your cursed energy is stable, you have been knocked out, that's all.
"Step aside for a second, loverboy, I have to heal the cut on her arm." Shoko says with a smirk and Gojo steps away hesitantly, watching carefully as your scars slowly disappear. The healer leaves the room as soon as she finishes and Satoru is quick to return to your side, his fingers laced with yours once again.
"Gojo?"
"Am I not Satoru anymore, sweet thing?" he asks disappointedly and your mouth curls up slightly. You could have died, but he's still hung up on the way you addressed him. You look down at your hands, not able to respond. You don't quite know what you two are anymore. "I was really scared, you know? I cannot lose my favorite girl this soon, otherwise I would go insane."
"It's not a big deal, Satoru..."
"But it is...Don't you get it?! I love you." he confesses, he seems furious, but his eyes glisten with the utmost adoration "It's you, it's always been you. The one who keeps me grounded, the one that makes it worthy to be the strongest, because all this power is meant to protect you, sweetheart. So please don't ever go two weeks and four days without talking to me and for the love of god, please don't go out there on reckless missions without me because I don't want to hear about you coming back on a stretcher ever again." he brings your hands up to his lips, kissing them gently and you swear you can see tears swelling in his precious eyes.
"I love you too, Satoru." you reply, your voice barely a whisper. He's shocked, for a second, the next he's leaning closer asking for permission to kiss you properly. You grant it to him and he unites your lips in a long-awaited kiss, one that seals the fate of the rest of your lives, without even knowing it.
"That day, in the hospital ward of Jujutsu Tech, I promised my classmate, the girl I fell deeply in love with, that I would protect her no matter what. That I would love and cherish her with all of my might till the end of my life. I promised her that one day I would marry her, when I went back home with you, Megumi, and told her I was planning on raising you at eighteen, while she simply agreed to help me all the way, no questions asked. Three years later I vowed to her that I would be beside her in sickness and in health. When you rascals were born, I promised I would take care of her and you guys with all the energy I have. Deep down I knew from the moment she stepped into that classroom when I was fifteen that she would be the one for me. And that kids, is how I met your mother." he finishes with a fond smile on his face, but it quickly falters as he notices that Nugget is once again preoccupied with whacking the air with the toy from earlier, Megumi is on his phone and Munchkin is sleeping soundly in his embrace.
Suddenly, he hears your footsteps from down the hall and your sing-song voice coming through the door.
"Where's my beloved family at?" you ask playfully, opening the door to his office, and peeking in. Upon spotting the sleeping toddler in his arms you keep quiet, approaching the two of them and you take your daughter into your embrace. You look around the room, observing the changes, the very bored teenager and your rascal of a son sitting on the couch and you quickly connect the pieces of the puzzle.
"You did it, didn’t you, Satoru?"
"What, sweetheart?" he asks faking innocence.
"The How I Met Your Mother Thing? The idea you were talking to me about the other night."
"Maybe."
"Oh, my poor babies, you had to sit through that cliche story. How long did your dad keep you bored, Megumi?" you ask, your tone teasing.
"Actually it wasn't that long after Nugget started whining." the raven-haired boy explained, looking fondly at his only mother figure.
"I'm so sorry, guys, let's go to Splendid Suchi, okay? That would make you all feel better." you add, leaving a loving kiss on all the kids' heads. Your son lifts his head with incredible speed upon hearing you mention his favourite restaurant, up until now he didn't even notice your presence, too preoccupied with his new toy. Suddenly everyone is up on their feet, ready to have a scrumptious meal.
You and Satoru stay behind a bit as the two boys run out of the school and Megumi summons his demon dogs so that the two of them can play with the fluffy shikigami.
"When are you gonna tell ME that fairytale of yours, angel boy? I'm really curious how you scored a clan princess like me." you ask your husband jokingly and he chuckles, raising his sunglasses up his nose. His hands quickly snake around your waist, pulling you into a loving kiss. Your daughter finally awakens lifting her head from your shoulder, interrupting the beautiful moment between the two of you.
"Mama!" she exclaims, embracing you tightly, her tired eyes fluttering as you bring her closer to your chest.
"Not only did you steal your Mama from me you get her titties as well?! This world is truly cruel."

The Damned P.1
Toji Zenin x fem! reader
Synopsis: forced to get in with the Zenin clan by your parents as a servant, Toji Zenin seemed to damn you more than himself….
Tumblr media
Being a servant in the Zenin household was not for the weak-willed or the weak-minded, it took strong foundations of a strong mind to survive within these endless, lavishly adorned walls of the Zenin Compound. One of the three big clans in Jujutsu Society, blossoming the pure, clean bloodline of the strongest sorcerers in the modern and past Jujutsu eras.
Your parents pushed you into being here, young but not ditsy, focused yet polite. The Zenin really didn't care, they just wanted the free labour, but you did get a roof over your head when the Zenin took you in as a servant. Little did you know that your parents literally sent you off to serve strangers and live with them for God knows how long. Your cursed technique was strong and your parents wanted the Zenin to know that and get in with the family, even if you started as a lowly servant. To infiltrate? To gather information? To be married off? To destroy from the inside…? You didn’t know, nor did you care at this point.
The clan leader, Naobito Zenin, sent you off on your way as if he didn't give a single thought, as if he was washing away the dirt on his hands. You were young and inexperienced and you didn't deserve the reward of the bigger duties so you were sent Toji Zenin's way, the black sheep, the damned one in the Zenin clan. You would be the personal servant of Toji Zenin.
Which leads you here now, standing by the foot of his bed, ready to wake him up like you usually do. Late. It was nearing 11 am and the clan needed to be in the training quarters in about half an hour. You glanced at Toji, seeing the drool escape from his mouth, his hair roughed up, and the sheets that barely covered his naked chest. These were the only times you felt Toji not be intimidating. You opened up the curtains and the windows, letting the fresh air ventilate the room. He grunted when the light hit his eyes at the most perfectly uncomfortable angle.
“Get the hell out.” He groaned angrily as he covered his eyes with his bulky forearm.
“Rise and shine, Master Toji.” You say with a faint warmness, anything to keep this civilised and polite knowing he could lash out quickly. The light seeps through the room and bathes it in the sunlight. He looked peaceful lying there, it's shame you had to wake him. He never looked so peaceful while he was awake, and, sadly, we all know the reason why. Toii grumbled and groaned, lifting his arm from his eyes.
“Can't even fuckin' sleep in this damn house.” He opened his eyes and was met by the sight of the sun hitting against your silhouette. He then looked at your face and rolled his eyes, a sour expression filled his face once more. “And do me a favour, and don't call me 'master' if you don't want your teeth punched in.” Toji fucking hated that, fucking hated it all.
You immediately frown. “It's not like I want to call you that, you are my superior. I work for you, I have to refer to you as that.” You explain to Toji as if he didn't already know it clear as day. “Would you like me to bring in a gong and wake you up like that?” You say, a small smile tugging at your lips at the insane hypothetical.
“I don't give a damn if you have to call me that, just drop it.” He growled against his pillow, glaring at you in the process. Toji then sat up from the bed, resting his head on his right hand as he looked at you blankly. He couldn't help but believe that there was some charm to you in how you were so polite. Your expression had an innocence to it that he had never come across in the cesspit that was the Zenin compound. “If you dare bring a gong in here, I'll break it and then your ribs.”
You knew that he was very much capable of doing that, so you didn't push further. But your mouth ran faster than your brain.
“Well then Toji, if you break my ribs...who will be making you breakfast every morning? Speaking of which, if you want food, I'm making some. So get up.” You say a little more firmly this time, you've never been this challenging towards your superiors, part of you wants to take it back, what if the clan deject you for being disrespectful? You frown slightly and leave the room to head back to the kitchen and finish preparing his breakfast.
The first thing he did when you left the room was let out a groan of frustration. It was always like this, you were being too much of a pushover to him. Always too kind. That was what irritated him the most. Maybe he was projecting. He needed to stop thinking that. Toji got dressed into his montsuki and went into the bathroom to brush his teeth and freshen himself up, he hated how every day started the same.
-
Soon, you heard his footsteps walking towards the kitchen, a few seconds later his hulking figure appeared at the doorway, leaning against the frame as he crossed his arms.
“I can make my own breakfast.” He declared in a low and husky voice.
“No, you can't.” You say politely but your words carry some weight to them that resounded throughout the whole room.
Each clan member had a specific section of the compound to themselves, so you had an entire kitchen to yourself to prepare food for Toji. He couldn't make his breakfast even if he tried, servants were solely assigned that duty.
You glance up at him leaning against the doorway, you finish plating up his Teishoku and serve them, you place it on the kitchen island in front of you. “Coffee sir-? I mean Toji..” You say softly, fumbling over your words but correcting yourself.
Your words irked him like nothing else, you were so nice to him. He loathed it. What made you so kind in the face of someone like him? “Quit this 'sir' bullshit.” He was trying to play it cool, his eyebrows slightly raised as he spoke. Internally he was confused by your ongoing kindness, you were like this from day one. He didn't like the fact that he had to work around your kindness.
“I apologize. Bad habit.” You let out a nervous chuckle, trying to ignore the burning green gaze zeroing in on you. Your expression was trying to hide the fact that you were uncomfortable with his presence. Toji was a little more than impressed by how you were handling him like this still. After all, most people would be scared shitless already.
As you hand him his coffee, Toji notices the band-aids on your fingers. The skin looked red and brittle and it made him raise an eyebrow. “What happened to them? And don't say 'nothing' or 'it's nothing.” Toii muttered under his breath, trying to distance himself but still be curious at the same time.
“Oh, I burned myself by accident, the stove was too hot.” You respond a little curtly, turning your back and starting cleaning up and clearing away. It was clear you didn't want to talk about it, the real reason was rather daunting as Naoya Zenin threatened to break your fingers because you didn't do a task correctly.
Toji watched with intent simmering eyes as you turned your back to him. The first thing was that your reasoning behind it was obvious bullshit. You were lying through your teeth but quite frankly he didn't car enough to pry even further. "You're really clumsy, aren't you?”
Your shoulders relax as you sigh out, thankful he wasn't reading into it. “I am...I am. ..quite clumsy.” You breathe out.
You both know damn well you were the opposite but for now, it'll do. You turn around and take his empty tray once he finishes eating, giving him an agreeable smile. “Your training starts soon.”
Toji raised his eyebrow as an unamused look was engrained on his face. Why was his rudeness not affecting you in any way? Maybe you weren't listening to a thing he said, which made him even more annoyed. So he decided to try another approach. He just...didn't like how you...talked to him. “Can you stop being so polite to me? I never understand why servants are like this to their masters. Just do your job and stop acting like this.” He grunted.
You turn around and glared at him, annoyed that he didn't realize that you’re just doing your job. Anything less than perfection and obedience would be punished. But then again...who the hell were you to argue with a Zenin? “If that's...what you prefer.” You shrug your shoulders. You thought maybe he would appreciate some form of kindness considering the way his family actively despised him.
“Good...because there's no reason to be nice to me when I'm anything but.” He warned me you lowly. Toji was expecting you to break and lash out at him. Yet your reaction and expression left him feeling a little off-put. Why? Why weren't you saying anything? Why aren't you letting him walk all over you? He didn't like those thoughts.
Reluctantly, you nod your head, lips thinning into a straight line, and you try to stay as neutral as possible. If this is what he wanted, who the hell were you to argue? After finishing cleaning the kitchen, you make a move to leave the room. As you made your way to leave, Toji couldn't help but notice that your back was as straight as an arrow. Your body looked so proper and elegant, unlike others. Just your simple back in that tight-fitting kimono was enough to make him stare a few moments longer than necessary. That's when he called out to you and spoke with a neutral expression: “Do you always have to be so proper and respectful?”
Yet his voice was...softer.
You stop in your tracks. “I'm just doing my job.” You reply quietly, trying to get him to grasp that you're just doing what you're supposed to do. You walk away and leave him wordless from the kitchen, letting your words linger in his brain a lot longer than he should have.

What are your thoughts on this sns-critical post?
https://www.tumblr.com/writingwhilequeer/672650382032437249/i-wish-i-saw-more-either-anti-naruto-or-critical
Hey anon!
Oh great, another moronic Sasuke stan with an extremely surface level understanding of Naruto's character that unsurprisingly doesn't quite understand Sasuke either lol at this point I'm so bored of their "arguments" on how Naruto is this terrible, selfish, obsessive narcissist forcing himself on Sasuke.
Anyway, let's go by bits
Tumblr media
SJSJHSJKKHSH and I'm supposed to take this person seriously?
"I don't like what Kishimoto wrote because it doesn't add up to my completely made up idea of who this character is so I'll just ignore it" woah you could've just said you have no reading comprehension skills, same thing.
This argument that Sasuke never liked Naruto is so stupid because hello??? have you been reading the manga with the rest of us?
Sasuke's very first appearance is in the manga on the very first chapter before we even learn his name or who he is, is him looking at Naruto but Sasuke saying in ch. 698 he's always been looking at Naruto is out of character? please don't make me laugh, I can't take those wild claims seriously
Tumblr media
We see the boys training just the two of them together all night, we see Sasuke leave dinner to check on Naruto, we see Sasuke blushing simply because he's walking next to Naruto, we see Sasuke defend Naruto from Sakura's nasty comments, we see Sasuke saying with his own mouth his body moves on his own to protect Naruto, mind you this is just what happens in the Land of the Waves arc, but ch. 698 is shitty flashbacks that we're now supposed to believe? what a moron
The whole land of the waves arc is basically stating that Naruto is Sasuke's precious person he wants to protect. That person is saying "Sasuke is PURE metaphor, you really have to pay attention to him to see what his deal is" but somehow missed the entirety of the first arc of the manga? You see how Sasuke stans who pride themselves as the smarter bunch of the fandom are actually incredibly stupid?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this is just the first arc of the manga. Many other blogs have already written about how even after Sasuke left Konoha he still cared for Naruto to the point they call him a fake IDGAFER lol [LINK]
But let's keep going
Tumblr media
Another sad case of a Sasuke stan projecting their politics onto Sasuke and expecting something Kishimoto never promised. Like okay, just rambling here.
Tumblr media
Yeah, Naruto wants to be acknowledged by Sasuke, that's never been a question, he literally states it waaaaay earlier in the manga because that's the theme of the fucking manga omfgggg.
Now this stan is either being dishonest and obtuse on purpose or is just straight up a dumbass. Sakura and Naruto's pursuit of Sasuke is not the same, and the fact that they cannot recognize how Kishimoto is contrasting the connection both have with Sasuke is just baffling. It's not an accident, Kishimoto wants us, the readers, to compare Sakura and Naruto's feelings for Sasuke and see how shallow and superficial Sakura's are compared to Naruto's unconditional and authentic love for Sasuke, hence why Sasuke reacts so differently to both of them (even if it pisses off this stan that Sasuke is receptive of Naruto's actions and words lmao).
Sakura doesn't understand Sasuke because she doesn't want to, she just wants a perfect boyfriend and wants that boyfriend to be the boy all the other girls in class had a crush on because that'd make her look better.
Naruto, on the other hand, understands Sasuke, they're both orphaned outcasts of society, Naruto eventually loses people he loves that allows him to understand the pain Sasuke went through, he even calls out Itachi on his bullshit for all the pain he put Sasuke through but yeah he's this selfish, obsessive asshole...
Tumblr media
Yeah, the reason why those headcanons this person made up in their mind don't happen in the manga is because they're that, headcanons. Their idea of who Sasuke is as a character is completely different from canon Sasuke and instead of accepting they just want to play dolls with Sasuke because idk I guess they find him cool? They're antagonizing Naruto, Kishimoto and the fandom, like baby just accept that the shit you made up isn't real instead of claiming ch. 698 is an OoC writing of Sasuke and Naruto is aCtUaLly the real villain lmao.
Also, I wonder what this person thinks the themes of the manga are to think that if the complete opposite had happened it would be better??????? If Kishimoto is writing a manga where the main theme is acknowledgement, how the fuck is Sasuke not acknowledging Naruto embodying the themes better? like what??? This person thinks they're analyzing Naruto (both the character and the manga) but they're straight up writing a fanfic here.
"This story would be better if the author had written the complete opposite because that's what I wanted" <- This is the laziest literary criticism you could give and THANK GOD naruto fans don't write the manga.
Tumblr media
Sasuke stans are really mad Naruto didn't want to see Sasuke leave Konoha to go to a GROOMER and then become a renegade that was SENTENCED TO DIE for committing several crimes (that he begged Sasuke would be forgiven for) and was basically SELF-HARMING with the whole "I need to kill those who I love so I can succumb to darkness". Like woah, Naruto you're such a prick. Sasuke stans just heard Sasuke say "Revolution!" and kinda forgot (or deliberately ignore) that he's actually in his most self-destructive state and is Naruto who helps him get out of that.
The thing is Naruto's not selfish so no one can give you a serious analysis that depicts him as such. He's just another orphaned traumatized boy who is trying to save his friend from darkness, there's nothing selfish about that. Of course sometimes Naruto didn't always have the perfect tools to aid Sasuke, he even acknowledged this himself (like the Kage Summit arc is right there), but that's because he's just 12-17 years old. Sasuke himself didn't handle the best way his own trauma either but that is okay too. These two boys are young, naturally they'll be emotianlly immature but on top of that fictional characters don't have to (and should not) be perfect, that'd be pretty boring.
Also, notice how this person said that Sasuke was assimilated and brainwashed into serving Konoha but didn't give Naruto the same grace even though he went through the same because then their headcanon of Naruto being this absolute asshole wouldn't work anymore, hilariously pathetic honestly.
Anyway, that was one of the most mediocre analysis I've ever read

Hey 👋
So I saw your reblog and post about jayce, and I just wanted to say you managed to genuinely encapsulate what I was thinking about jayce and just how weirdly the fandom treats him and I am so happy about your post!!!
I wanna bring another discussion point to this. What do you think season 2 jayce's arc would have been had arcane not lost its political messaging because I was totally under the impression that after season 1, jayce was going to boarden his views and understand a lot more about zaun and the undercity through his interactions with other characters like ekko, jinx and vi. I thought we were gonna get jayce leaving politics and high society and going back to his roots as a labourer, understanding his original dream to help the people with hextech and improve lives. I thought we were gonna go back to jayce, who has a family that owns a forge factory and that the show was gonna go and link It back to renni and her kid. I thought we were gonna see jayce comment on the zaun child labour.
I thought so much more was going to happen but it didn't. In the end we didn't even get jayce introspection on the weapons he made and its not even clear why he made them (I have my theory as to why) and we don't get his reaction to cait gassing zaun because I can tell you for a matter of fact jayce wouldn't have been cool with that not after he found out what the hexgates were doing to the undercity and not after he came out from the AU where he had to consume pollution that included the grey daily (I fully believe that when jayce came back he was dying from all that pollution)
Jayce is a creator destined to die young and suffer a fate similar to his father
Thank you for letting me ramble
oh man you COOKED with this!!
i gotta say, this rapid-fire hype train after every weekend for s2 didn't help me think much about what could've been, but your ideas are so wonderful that i'm now even angrier that they reduced him to just viktor without properly expanding on his grief and his guilt about it ifywim? like, he lost cassandra too, he almost lost mel, i do see why he would lose that Very New unlearning of his biases after surviving perhaps the most traumatic event of his life before the Anomaly. i loooooove the opening sequence of s2. his shock and dissociation were absolutely delicious. but it's strange that we don't see any more of how that trauma affects him or mel.
i also feel so confused as to why nobody cared that the de facto Head Councilor and Man of Progress disappeared before publicly resigning. yeah we get it man, you love Viktor, but the people needed leadership, and the fact that they all just moved ON?? from him??? without a single explanation? they didn't even extend a notice to him about the meetings, nor mentioned that he was a "coward" in them bc they obviously didn't like him except for mel, etc.
i think what i was most excited about was that, given jayce is not a politician (and it would've been cool to explore him being forced to be a man he isn't given that's his whole s1 arc), but a man who sees the world through the people he cares about, it would've been so awesome for him to learn to work together with vi and ekko to help zaun. i still love his apocalypse arc, but i think it came too fast, too conveniently, and by separating him and ekko even in act 3 it just falls apart for me kinda.
and you're so right. not a SINGLE mention of renni's child? [points at the writers] what have you done to my boy? even just a quiet, short scene of vi and jayce just...processing, as he stares at the weapon that took the kid's life, but saved his, would've probably sent the message home as to why he once again, thanks to fear and trauma, he makes the weapons despite his massive guilt. it would've been nice for us to see him give vi and cait the weapons, and there we can see that he either isn't allowed to know what they'll do but he trusts them, or doesn't want to know bc he's sick of being aware of all this violence in a more selfish way haha. so many possibilities to express his moral dilemma and how the precarious growth he'd built started to fall apart, not JUST because of viktor, but because he is once again faced with the violence he thought for a long time was coming for him from zaun. it is a prejudice, viktor did call him out for it, but in jayce's mind, it could've been proven. he was attacked TWICE by the people he accidentally hurt the most (bc jinx is who she is thanks to hextech), but is he going to be aware of that, or think that all of zaun is out to get him now? a big part of him is his paranoia, to the point that his cave scene sountrack is called that, so it could've been a great theme to foreshadow from the very beginning. if we did all this, then that would explain what they had going for him in this season in a way that didn't erase his character the way they did
i loveee your points on ethical production and labor, and how that would question even his own name's business. all those hints about his father never went anywhere, and they could have if that was explored. but sadly i don't think there would've been enough time for that with the plot they set in motion of the anomaly and multiverse. (despite how i have grown to accept the multiverse ret-con of the mage, and that i adore ep7, it still irks me that we cannot let the multiverse rest, especially in a story that used to be so grounded in our social reality). also yeah i would've loved a bit more portrayal of his new disabilities!! how he struggles now even with his brace, and what that illness/corruption consisted of. but then he died so it doesn't matter :')
i think i've mainly been coping by writing fanfiction. a lot of my gripes with the season are going to be tackled in my ghosts in the hearth series. it may not be exactly what you're looking for bc it takes place after act 2 but i needed it for my sanity XD
thank you for sharing your thoughts! let's be moots :D

He knows what happened, he just doesn't feel like anyone would care.
This is a little long but it has been bothering me after i have seen several posts on how Halsin didn't realize what happened to him in the Underdark.
I have a different opinion:
Have people ever considered that Halsin talks that way about his trauma because of how little he believes people would care, and not that he doesn't understand what happened to him?
Now, I am speaking from my own personal experience as someone who has faced a lot of trauma(Nothing sexual thankfully) and who has been put in a semi leadership adjacent position during or after experiencing it, and let me tell ya, you quickly learn how much of a one sided affair that is.
From a young age I ended up being the person everybody in my friend group came to for advice and help, something I had taken pride in. However, I wouldn't realize how lonely that was until I was in my early 20's when the first time I tried to reach out for a fraction of that help I gave out back I got a response along the lines of, "Your life is so much better than mine, what do you need help for?"
And do you know what that does to someone?
I will tell ya.
You shut the fuck down.
You feel like you don't have the right to reach out for help.
Your the strong one.
Your the one everybody needs to look up to.
Your the one everyone believes is unshakable.
You don't need help.
You can do this all on your own.
Sound Familiar?
I am not in the camp that he doesn't understand what happened to him.
It's been 200 years at least and he didn't live most of his life in a society with social rules, forced power dynamics and complex politics and gender norms.
He knows what happened to him was horrific and wrong.
He knows how nature works. He studies it.
I doubt he is ignorant of the fact that the mind and body can operate separately.
He wouldn't be able to control his wild shape otherwise.
He tells you how he feared for his life and wanted to escape.
He explains how he was biding his time in order to survive.
Ever hear of undercover agents getting too deep and forgetting they were undercover?
But, despite this, he has also been around people long enough to notice how people might perceive his story.
he has interacted with people long enough to know that not everyone would be understanding.
I firmly believe that he talks the way he does about his trauma because he knows how people not only react to his physical appearance, but how they view him as this wise and strong unbreakable leader.
He said it himself, "People who see someone my size don't think i can get hurt or have feelings."
He talks like that about it because he has been made to feel that no one would care if he actually broke down.
To be able to do that, you need to trust the other person not to judge you or blow you off.
It puts you in an incredibly vulnerable position.
A vulnerable position Halsin couldn't really afford to put himself in due to everything that happened after.
Unless you have been in that position, you have no idea how scary that is.
And the only way to change that, is to find someone or someones, that allow you to be weak in front of them without judgement.
Which, even in this day and age, is very hard to do.
I am lucky that i have my best friend of 30+ years who let me realize that i had someone i could be weak in front of.
Halsin doesn't have and i think has ever had someone to be weak in front of by the time of the start of the game.
I know how hard it was to let my walls down at 36.
I cant imagine how hard that would be at 350.
If he can at all.
tl;dr: Halsin knows what happened to him was awful and horrific. He just believes no one would care if he spoke about it seriously because "People believe someone my size cant get hurt or have feelings."

this might be a bit too dark (if so just ignore this)
we all know that hob loves life and people and loves being immortal and still wants to continue living even after everything he's been through
now what if their young soulmate is the opposite? they're depressed and don't want to be immortal and live forever, they're very pessimistic and nihilistic and kind of antisocial
then dream and hob meet them and try anything they can to help them fall in love with life and with people and showing them that there's so much to live for
Sweetheart this is just perfectly angsty and fluffy I love it
Perhaps when you are greeted with the idea of immortality (and believing you are the only one at first) you are just filled with dread and heartache. What do you mean you’ll live forever? Longer than your family and friends? As in you’ll have to bury them all and any new friends you may make it will only end with them six feet under? Perhaps you also think of what’s the point especially in this society of working endlessly to just make ends meet? That the only way you see of living is just working your body into the ground and nothing else
Then you meet Dream and Hob, maybe you go to the New Inn for a drink (and just to get out of your bedroom) and stumble into them. They try to talk, well more so Hob and you just smile and be polite and don’t say much. Maybe you think it’s best to keep your distance from people to protect your heart, and to be honest you’re also not all great with small talk. But after a few more visits Hob and Dream slowly break you down to open up more to them, and then they start to fall in love with you
Only for you to close up and shut them out.
You don’t come to the New Inn again and they are saddened. So cue a small adventure where Dream and Hob search through the Dreaming to find you, and with Dream’s powers they find you quickly. They see you just alone in a rotting forest just sitting there with a frown deep in thought. How could someone with such an infectious beautiful smile look glum, they thought.
Maybe you see them and just curse to yourself thinking how these two gorgeous and kind men are now haunting your dreams. And without believing it’s truly them, you just vent. You go on this speech of how could they love you, how can you keep living in a world that is dying before your eyes, how can you keep going when everything is telling you to just quit and give up but you’re forced to keep marching.
And that’s when it all clicks for Dream and Hob, and their hearts simultaneously break: an immortal who doesn’t see the beauty in living. They slowly approach you and each take your hand, which you let them because hey it’s all a dream why does it matter. Dream takes you to a sunny beach where other dreamers are playing.
‘Living can be difficult,’ Dream begins. ‘But, what makes it easier is joy in the small wonders such as how the sun kisses your skin, how a child’s laugh can mimic their parent’s, how flowers and plants can grow in the most strangest terrains.’
Hob tightens his grip on your hand. ‘Or how you carry all those around you in your heart. Those who are gone are not lost. They live within you forever, as long as you live so do they.’
In an instant you finally breakdown, you cling to them as they comfort you. You don’t care if it’s a dream, you are just thankful for their warmth. ‘You two are so wonderful, I just wish I didn’t run away.’
Hob chuckles, ‘Then find us again, we’ll be waiting’
Then once you awake from your stranger dream, you set out to the New Inn to find Hob and Dream and there you truly begin to live. They show you all the wonders of the world from the big to the small, they teach you how to cope with immortality, and they show you how to love and receive their love. You were immortal, but ever since that fateful day you thought you were doomed. Now, you realized you had be reborn and Dream and Hob had shown you that

So overall you think men have things worse off than women? You don’t think that DV statistics, rape statistics, the wage gap, harassment statistics, lack of power/representation etc might run contrary to your claim?
The internalized model you've taken on from feminism/Marxism/identity politics is what is underpinning your faulty assumptions about reality here: I don't think of men and women as warring nations, but rather the human family: it's not a "who's the biggest victim" competition: If your father and brother are suffering, it's not a triumph for you; If a man's mother and sister are being abused, they're not going to applaud or celebrate.
Feminism itself created "the gender war", and this model of thinking about ourselves has been incalculably corrosive and destructive to all human relationships.
So it is not my intent to replace the narrative of perpetual female victimhood with one of male victimhood. The only reason i argue against feminist claims is because they are harmful lies, and because feminism itself is the most sexist movement that has ever existed in the history of the human race, whereas I support equal rights, opportunities, care and concern for all.
The "wage gap" has been disproved endlessly:
youtube
but feminism relies upon this narrative of injustice and oppression, even when it's not there: it's been illegal to pay women less than men for the same hours at the same job doing the same task for over 50 years everywhere in the western world. Women on average work fewer hours, and gravitate towards careers that pay less than work that is harder, more stressful or dangerous. They also take years out of their working lives through maternity leave, and after giving birth often come back part time: women work the majority of part-time jobs, which pay less because of how much easier and comparably free from responsibility they are.
All these things on average add up to a lower total of lifetime earnings than the male column, even though there is no month-by-month "wage gap" at all, and in fact childless women in their twenties have been out-earning men of the same age for a couple of decades now. It should also be obvious that the older men who are working longer hours in unpleasant conditions to increase their paycheck are usually doing so because they have a wife and children to support, so the money they make is going to, and being spent by, women (women make 80% of all purchasing decisions in America and presumably most of the rest of the world).
Once again, everything is interconnected: human beings are not nations at war against each other but families and friends helping and relying upon each other. The "class war" lens through which the feminists and others look at the human race is evil and only destructive.
As for domestic violence and rape and harassment, etc., it's been gone into here and elsewhere in great depth, but in all cases, men are not counted or treated equally to women in the eyes of the law (or by society) in any of them, and there have been many instances where a man has been assaulted in his own home by a crazy women, and when he called the police, they arrested him instead of her. Feminists pushed for this sexist "primary aggressor" law, which urged police to arrest men rather than women, even though any woman can pick up a knife or a gun or a frying pan and kill someone they're with just as easily as a man, and only someone who sees all women as innocent children incapable of any violent thoughts whatsoever would maintain otherwise.
Women coercing a man into sexual activity against his will is in most countries not counted as "rape" at all, but rather one of a variety of lesser charges with names like "forced envelopment" or somesuch, so it's hardly likely that the rape statistics reflect such a great disparity when one half of the population cannot be charged with the crime. Right?
Now, I personally think quite a lot more men rape women than women rape men, but then on the other hand, I've seen with my own eyes far more women hit men than men hit women. Intimate partner violence is about equal between the sexes, although interestingly enough, the highest rate of domestic violence reported is by lesbians, with straight couples in the middle and homosexual males coming in last.
The fundamental truth is that people pheromonally bound to one another are sometimes terrible to one another. I wish they weren't, but they always have been, and it's idiotic to try lay the blame at the feet of one half of the human race and not the other.
But what political hold would feminism still have in the world without asserting otherwise?

Can I request Phoenix and Miles adopting a male teen reader with a punk/gothic style? It can be seperate ofc
(because I lack a father figure in life)
Here's the background info about our spunky reader.
The reader is around 13-15 years old in foster care, he is always forced to move in with different foster houses, no matter how much he tries to prove that they can be worth something (oop abandonment issues 😜)
Basically, his parents left him in the dump when he was an infant, leading up to their arrest and losing their parental rights. Nobody in his biological family wanted to take him, thus turning him in for foster care.
The reader is the definition of a typical teen, he dyed his hair, skateboards around the streets, spray painting murals and street art with kids around his age (legally ofc).
The reader's personality really fits the whole 'Don't judge a book by its cover' thing. He's a sweet and laid back kid, often running around the streets and helping the locals with their errands. He can be cunning, compulsive, and sarcastic at times, often having witty banters with the local kids in his age.
The reader is doing his usual errands when he witnesses the murder first hand, thus turning him into a key witness to the case. And now we meet both Nick and Edgey.
They both find it surprising that he's actually very cooperative and polite in contrast to his looks.
While gathering his testimony and his background info, they learn about the reader's past and current situation.
They then started to develop a father and son relationship throughout the trial, answering the reader's questions about their work, the reader rambling on about their current interest, and even helping the reader in his homework.
After the trial concludes and fast forward to a few months later, they have a little surprise for the reader and they pull out the adoption papers.
(Yes you can adopt a child in foster care if the biological parents' rights gets terminated by the court.)
Also sorry if it's too specific Kdhdndhsk-
Platonic headcanons Don't judge a book by its cover
⚖️ Phoenix Wright x teen male!Reader 🚲
You met Phoenix during one of the investigations. You were a teenager who was problematic in the eyes of society. That's what the police thought when you told them you witnessed a murder. They didn't believe you, thinking you were trying to interfere with the investigation, but Phoenix believed you. He knew from his own experience that it was not worth judging people by their appearance, so looking at a teenager with dyed hair, in a black leather jacket and with a skateboard, he was sure that you could really help him get to the truth and protect his client
You were talking in his office and then he found out that your appearance and your character were very different. Behind the gloomy exterior was a nice guy, polite and ready to help with the investigation. You tried to tell as much as possible of what you remembered and agreed to stay in the office until the investigation was completed. Phoenix was afraid that the real killer might try to get rid of you, because you were a key witness. He offered to call your parents, but you said it wasn't necessary. You openly told him that you lived with a foster family and that they didn't care where you were if you didn't cause them problems
Phoenix sincerely sympathized with you and did not understand how it was possible to treat you like this. During the time that he conducted his investigation, you seemed to him a good child. You chatted a lot, he helped you with homework as much as he could, you talked about art, because as it turned out, it was interesting for both of you, and Maya joked that you looked like you were father and son. This confused Phoenix, but the very thought did not repel him
After the completion of the trial, Phoenix continued to communicate with you. You saw each other often and he cared about you much more than your foster parents. A few months later, he called you to his office and said that there was something important that he had to tell you. After that, he took out the adoption documents. All these few months he has been preparing everything so that he can adopt you. When you found out about it, you couldn't hold back the tears. You were happy that a real father would appear in your life who really cares about you and who loves you
⚖️ Miles Edgeworth x teen male!Reader 🚘
Prosecutor Edgeworth has always taken his job seriously. That's why when he found out that there was a witness to the murder who saw everything that happened, he decided to talk to this witness himself. He was surprised when he saw a teenager with dyed hair, a black leather jacket, pierced ears, leather bracelets with spikes on his hands and a skateboard. You were the witness
At first he thought it would be a problem to get information from you, but it turned out not to be so. You didn't hide anything and were ready to help the investigation. Miles also took a responsible approach to finding out more about you, because he could not ignore the fact that you could lie and be associated with the killer. But it wasn't like that. You were an orphan with a difficult past and an equally difficult present. That's why you preferred to be in the police station or the prosecutor's office than in your temporary home
He didn't mind you being in his office. You didn't cause him any problems, you could talk peacefully, you were a smart and polite guy, he even helped you do your homework and explained topics that you didn't understand when he had free time. Several times he took you to a cafe so that you could eat properly. He acted like he was your father. You didn't have a father figure in your life, but Edgeworth handled that role well
After the completion of the trial, the prosecutor continued to spend time with you. The police are already used to seeing you, because you often came to Edgeworth. A few months later, when you came to him, a surprise was waiting for you. Adoption documents. Edgeworth wanted to adopt you, if of course you didn't mind. He wanted to become the same person for you as his father was for him. He wanted to give you a good life and a loving family that you deserved more than anyone else

I see people out here acting like astrology queers are the fucking worst or whatever. Is this really where we draw the line next?
Like, is now really time to be splitting hairs about whether or not someone else does things differently than us, or sees the world or the stars or the heckin universe differently than us? Cause the last time this happened, it was with neopronouns. And xenogenders. And kinks. And religious queers. And autistic queers. And fujoshis. And femboys. And furries.
It's always some form of cultural exclusionism because modern online queer culture is so obsessed with purity to the point where we can't stand other queers not being perfectly aligned with some nebulous, unproblematic caricature of the perfect queer soldier.
Except that's not how people function in real life. It's not how real life queer folks outside of the comfort of your social media comment section are like. Real queers are messy. They are weird. They are transgressive. They do not fit the mold or box or whatever restrictions or limitations society tries to force them into. Real queers will think in ways different from everyone around them, from each other, and most certainly from you.
So a bunch of queers believe that the stars have power and can describe our personality traits? Uh huh. Sure. Good for them. What's that got to do with you? Why do you care? That's their business, leave them to it and mind your fucking own.
Oh, so you had a bad interaction with astrology queers, and that gives you the right to assume all of them are problematic? Gee, where have I heard that before? OH RIGHT. Beat-for-beat the exact same reason people targeted fujoshis/femboys/mogai queers, so on and so forth. Because all it takes is one bad experience to strip us of all our empathy, as if making mass generalizations about a group of people and refusing to understand them hasn't caused enough issues in the world already.
Speaking of the world, the same world where "anti-porn" legislation is being passed with the intention to censor queer content and fandom spaces from the internet. The same world where Israel supporters try to convince us not to support Palestine because "Palestinians don't support queer people" or some shit. The same world where a conservative centrist frat-boy shot a CEO and united people all across the political spectrum in class consciousness against the rich.
I can think of many traits far worse in a queer person than astrology. It wouldn't even make top 50.
Put aside your social media device and go talk to real people. For fuck's sake.

after your last post about STEM, what do you think about expanding the fields of 1) environmental science and other study of the environment and our interactions with it and 2) urban design and urban planning. Imo both of these should be as big as health sciences and engineering respectively, the only reason they’re not is that people don’t care about our interaction with the environment we need to care about and systemic place-drivers behind inequality, liveable lifestyles, and our ability to actually live sustainably as a species. mostly asking bc these are fields I’ve studied in and there’s very minimal, very introductory education imo compared to how much potential there is for 1) innovation and 2) applied study of ecosystems etc to actually care for said ecosystems
These are classic individual-cart-before-the-structural-horse issues. Does the current US economy (I'm talking about US, this will be unique by country, no commentary on Italy or w/e) lack for environmental scientists? When the EPA makes job postings for inspectors, when Williams & Connolly LLP puts out the call for environmental consultants for pending litigation, when Siemens is drowning in NEPA paperwork for a solar installation and needs to onboard staff, do they lack for candidates? Like fresh-out-of-school candidates, not "30 years of experience litigating environmental impact statements in United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit" candidates? I think the answer is "no" - its a popular major. It has tiers for levels of math skill, it has politics & business subfields, and so on. The system only needs so many of these people to do its job - I actually know about the environmental field from a professional capacity having built a degree in it, and right now we graduate too many in this field if you made me bet (but again not by like a ton, they do fine).
You can't make the system care more via the lever of supply of college majors. We currently empower environmental scientists by X% because that is how much we value the environment as a society. You wanna budge that you gotta convince people, win hearts and minds, initiate political reform, etc.
With urban studies I haven't done this professionally so I am a little less confident, but I think we oversupply that category even more. We have tons of urban planners in the US - we just don't let em do anything! We hire them by the dozens in every city and then suborn them root-and-stem to elected officials and an infinite array of veto points by local councils and lawsuits. Boosting the supply of graduates would do absolutely nothing - in fact its a "flakeout" career as we call it in the industry, the kind of job someone majors in, gets hired in the field, and then leaves after a few years because it turns out to suck for w/e reason. (though again, never dug into the data on this one, so grain of salt on this specific claim. Wider thrust is true).
I think this ties into a general principle I have - the US higher education system is not a lever for social change. In some small ways sure, and for academia oh yeah ofc and I have a ton of ideas on that one. But overall its downstream of wider social forces, and its decently-optimized to cater to the needs of those social forces. You can't squeeze new social goals out of society's certification system.

I wanted to echo a few points dimensionalrevolutionary said, as well as respond to a few things you said.
Firstly, implementing socialism without revolution has been tried before. Salvador Allende was a Marxist who was democratically elected President of Chile. As President, he began a number of programs to increase literacy, access to healthcare and employment, access to food, etc. You can look him up on your own time if you so choose. However, in 1973 a military coup forced him out of power and installed Augusto Pinochet, a dictator who killed thousands of innocents and caused many more to flee the country. This coup was backed by the United States, with Henry Kissinger saying “I don't see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its people. The issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves.”
In Indonesia, the Communist Party operated within the framework of electoral politics and became the largest non-ruling Communist Party on the planet. In return, the Indonesian government and army conducted mass killings of communists in 1965, resulting in the deaths of around 1 million people (many of whom weren’t even Communist Party members, just wrongfully implicated). It is no coincidence that the socialist states that remain today are those that seized state power via a revolution rather than relying on electoralism. History has shown that any non-violent attempt to achieve socialism is doomed to brutal repression by the bourgeoisie.
Now to address some of your points. Your point on “Sweden’s backsliding is because it’s not diverse enough” is only looking at part of the picture. Obviously part of Sweden’s slide to the far right is due to racist and anti-immigration sentiments, this backsliding has been occurring long before that, as far back as the collapse of the USSR (which provided an incentive to keep Scandinavian workers happy, lest they be influenced by the socialists on the border). AzureScapegoat, a Swedish Marxist, has an excellent video on this through the lens of the Overton Window (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK1Ikx6el1E).
You say that most revolutions fail, which is true, but as I pointed out above every single attempt to achieve socialism via electoralism has failed. I would rather risk a low-percentage chance at achieving socialism than try the method that has NEVER succeeded.
Setting aside the fact that Hannah Arendt, a pivotal philosopher in defining authoritarianism/totalitarianism, was a massive racist who claimed anti-racism was totalitarianism (which immediately discredits the ideology for me), every government on the planet is “authoritarian.” Liberalism is just as authoritarian, it’s just that the powers-that-be are unelected and unaccountable billionaires who can set the rules of society to their whims by pouring ungodly amounts of money into the legalized bribery that is lobbying.
Regarding your final point on trans rights, while there are some parties that have bad views on LGBT+ rights (such as the KKE in Greece), in general implying that Marxists are uniquely bad when it comes to LGBT+ rights is laughable. The USSR, a country which dissolved over 30 years ago, didn’t have excellent LGBT+ rights? That’s so crazy, I wonder how LGBT+ rights were in the United States at the same time. It’s also laughable to say that the US has better LGBT+ rights than Cuba, a country which recently passed an incredibly progressive family law by popular vote (rather than via 9 unelected judges), and which provides trans Cubans free gender-affirming care (along with their other free healthcare).
Finally, bemoaning a socialist country like China for having worse LGBT+ rights than the USA is incredibly disingenuous. Less than a century ago large parts of China were still feudal. Less than 50 years ago China was a mostly rural society of poor farmers. Expecting Global South countries which have not had the same abilities to develop due to unequal exchange (and often had bigoted law codes forced upon them by imperialist countries) is intellectually dishonest. China’s LGBT+ rights are absolutely behind the United States, but the difference is that China is improving (recently Beijing made transitioning easier and Shanghai opened several clinics for LGBT+ youths), while the USA is backsliding. I feel the trajectory is far more significant.
Again, thanks for the polite response
I'm a historian, you can assume I know who Allende is, both Chille and Indonesia are some very dark stains on US history and the nation needs to apologize for it property. That isn't really a condemnation of social democracy though, its more a condemnation of School of the Americas, like any country is going to have trouble when an imperialist state overthrows there government to force a right wing mass murdering autocrat. Now the communist states who remain today have mostly become super capitalist at this point, so I'm not sure how much of a win that is.
Your youtube friend is simplifying things a tad, after the Soviet Union fell you had backsliding in some areas but also some major progressive reforms in others, its not a clear backslide until the last few years with the anti immigration nonsense because a major schism in Swedish politics has been the fact that it is a very homogenous country. Social Democracy tends to thrive better when it has a broad diverse base to draw upon and a more intersectional foundation
No friend no, you can't just gloss over the revolutionary logistics bit, your a Marxists, you are supposed to be consequentialist about this. WHAT IS YOUR SPECIFIC PLAN. A revolution without a plan is not a revolution, its a Che Guevara tee shirt with extra steps. What is your revolutionary plan in the United States (I assume you are American). What specific revolutionary steps are you taking. Do you know how to use a gun? Do you have an organized cell? What revolutions' are you modeling yourself after? Marx himself talks about this, Revolutionaries who are stuck on the romantic image of revolutions of the past rather than the realities of revolutions in the present. My argument against revolution is that in the United States, there is no model for it working unless circumstances change dramatically, or you secretly have control of the US military
For electoralism, you get tangible results, just compromised and disappointing one. Biden as I said is a centrist hack, but even under him, the United States has move to the left more in the last three years than in the 30 years before. The reason why so many unions are going on strike right now is because of Biden's policies (though possibly unintentionally). It also prevented Trump from turning the US into a dictatorship
I used to work for the Hannah Arendt society, I know her flaws, but she isn't the only scholar on Authoritarianism. (also Marx was racist, like come on dude) Liberals are often authoritarian, which is why i'm not a liberal, I'm a social democrat. Democratic foundations however produce more stable and egalitarian states than dictatorships, dictatorships are inherently right wing, you don't need Hannah Arendt to do that.
The US did have better policies on queer issues than the USSR. Not by much, its was pretty awful, but there is a reason why you managed to get a large gay rights organizing group going in the US and that never really took off in the USSR. This is to not let the US off the hook "better than the USSR" isn't a great moral accomplishment. And to be clear, the USSR was better than any far right government, so credit where its due, but its weird to mythologize a regime that was never good on any queer rights issue.
Cuba is a big reversals, because Castro infamously put gays into camps, but the regime has reversed itself a lot in the last 20 years. So you get one, one communist regime which genuinely got better on queer issues and got better than the capitalist states (though only after the dictators died and the state started to moderate but still). Credit where it is due
To be honest, I think you are taking a pretty patronizing attitude towards China. Even ignoring how China has had a very long homosexual tradition (again its not a Christian country) One of the entire points of communism is about "Dragging" nations in to modernity, even ignoring the problematic Hegalian framework of that, the fact is that the anti queer stuff in CHina isn't just coming from ignorant rural peasants, its from the party itself. In many ways, things got worse for queer people under Mao because the state was centralized enough to actually enforce its will more. China has made some progress in the last ten years, but the Party still to this day has not asserted Homosexuality as a human right
Also parts of the US have backslide, the Blue states have some of the best trans protections in the entire world, like its not good what is happening right now in America, but having lived abroad a lot, it can get so much worse. in the US at least, the majority of the country don't support this backslide, and while the Democrats do suck, they have not backslide as a party, if anything they have moved to be more inclusive (no where near enough though, I don't want to let them off the hook)
Finally, I tend to be much more comfortable with Marxists when they are clearly not tankies, but marxists places get so quickly infested with Tankie nonsense which inevitably leads them to repeat rightists talking points. So how the typical marxist response to the crisis in Ukraine is basically a copy/paste of Tucker's Carlson's talking points. I understand that not all Marxists are tankies, but I do think Marxism as an ideology really needs to get over the nostalgic worship of failed authoritarian states.
Cheers, fun discussion
