acolyte finale reactions / general thoughts on s1 (i'm kinda crabby about it so maybe avoid if you liked the finale a lot lol)

i wanted to like this more 😭😭😭😭😭I was so hype at the beginning of the season 😭😭😭😭😭How'd we go from that start to Reylo 2 man 😭

It just felt like once Jecki and Yord were killed like the heart of the show was gone, Qimir/Stranger was set up to be this huge villain and then suddenly Reylo 2 UGHHGHHGHHGH. Then Sol turned into Joel from the Last of Us and I was just like whatever. I love SW and I'm absurdly easy to please with SW so it takes a lot to get me feeling like this.

Next season is gonna be Darth Rhysand being all "I'm super evil and murderous and powerful and regularly commit atrocities, but I respect you, Osha, I put you on equal footing and am honest with you" and then if it's like the other romantasy stuff like this I've read he's gonna get treated like he's the best person ever by the narrative and the audience and UGHGH i'm not looking forward to that. throw in One Bed and a bunch of other booktok tropes too probably.

Overall there were a lot of highs but with how uneven and super messy it got, it really felt like they needed a few more drafts of the story to make things pop more and be more coherent. For example Sol being a kind person but deeply flawed who did this terrible act leading to his demise would have worked a lot better for me if some of the bits weren't so clunky. In the back half it just felt like the major events just kinda happened making him into Master Joel, and the dialogue not feeling natural a lot of the time for it, just characters saying vagueness to get everyone mad at each other so Osha could kill him at the end. sol felt like a completely different character at the end and not in a good way.

If this is the The Jedi Suck / Sith POV show (and going by that senator's speech and qimir being all "uhh you actually TRUST the jedi lol" I get the sense that was a big part of the mood writing this) like make it less clunky I guess??? the jedi order is a majorly flawed institution with PLENTY to go in depth on but by the end of this show did we need like five characters going like "yep you're gonna get genocided and you deserve it 😏" conversations like what was that?

I kinda wish we just had a majority of the POV time on the Sith from the jump instead of starting with "Mae is the evil twin who is on a murder spree and had serial killer tendencies as a child, Osha is the good twin who helps everyone she can," and just kinda dinking around with the Jedi for 5 eps before killing a bunch of them, shifting to osha being all "hey that sith guy who killed all those jedi is so hot i am seduced by the dark side alright lolol" and then "this is all sol's fault, time to die, i am a sith now" happening on hyperspeed because they spent 5 episodes waiting to get to what they really wanted the show to be about. It kind of reminds me of the structure of a netflix show in that regard where the first season is basically the prologue to the main story which blehg.

Mae just kinda felt pointless by the end, the stuff of her torturing animals with the force and starting the fire just kinda got brushed away because Master Joel and she spent most of the finale just like standing off to the side going😳and that's even before she got her mind wiped.

Again I just feel like this is one of those particular romantasy stories where the logic just isn't there for me or I just am too stupid to get it. it's always like "here are what are traditionally the good guys. just kidding they suck. here's a large evil man. he's actually good because he respects women!!!!! we stan a king in this household who lets his wife make the decisions!!!" but they make the evil guy too evil so I don't want to root for him, the lady lead falls for him way too fast, and her doing evil is treated as liberated and triumphant, and to top it all off it's straight too so i'm like whatever.

I'm just whatever about this whole show i guess LOL. i could go on and probably will have more later but I should prolly stop here.

I did like seeing a kyber crystal bleed in live action, really all the deep lore pulls were my fav part, the glup shitto of it all.

I have been waiting to have a Star Stable dream- Been playing for two years you’d think its deeply engrained enough in my psyche or whatevs right? 

So last night (after too many enchiladas and easter chocolates) I had...

A STAR STABLE NIGHTMARE. 

First: It did not take place in Star Stable. No Jorvik, no Moorland, no running through Mistfall. Nothing like. Already off to a bad start.

It was at my moms house (where irl I spend a good chunk of time since we’re still trying to clean it out). It was night (I rarely dream at night, so right there was like “somethings wrong!”). I was younger and there with my older brother and one of my sisters . My mom was in it, it was like us and her living there but like, 30 years ago. My brother was sleeping in one of the rooms and my mom in hers. I got up to get water or something and was walking around the house when I realized my sister was missing. I was looking all over the house in the dark and started noticing weird noises outside. I was certain someone took her. 

(here’s where the goddman game comes in -_-)

I look out the window and THERES A  FREAKIN SS TRAILER in the driveway with a shadowy driver sitting in the passenger seat just shining the headlights into the house. I went to ask my brother if he knew them but he was sound asleep. Then my mom joined me and we kept peering out the window in the sewing room, where she figured he was lost but I was scared as hell. Where was the driver?? And then- A GREY CLOAKED DRUID RUSHES PAST THE WINDOW towards the garage. I was like wtf are they up to??? We go to check on my brother and wake him up but HE WAS GONE TOO. 

We heard like chanting or something outside but were too scared to go look. We knew people were on our property and it was just us defending ourselves. The only place we didn’t check was the garage... so we made our way over to the kitchen, and then quickly turned on the garage light and threw opened the door and - You know how when people are invisible in movies you see like, a shimmer or something? There was a cleared circle in the middle of the garage, with two people (invisible) in the middle and a bunch of “invisible” cloaked druids around the circle, whispering. They were going to sacrifice my siblings and needed me there for ...soemthing. I just stood there, horrified, and then tried to yell STOP but couldn’t talk for some reason. When I finally was able to say it it was because I was saying it in real life and woke up my BF by yelling “stooooop!” at him in a really low voice

I coulda had a nice dream about riding through the silverglade acres or something but no. I get this shit.

You and Keith have been a thing for some time now, the two of you did everything together, you shared everything, even a room.

But there was one problem he’s been acting nervous around you recently, you didn’t know why, all you knew was it was abnormal for him.

You were determined to find out why.

You walked into the training area where he spent most of his time, you’d usually just go to watch him train, it may sounds weird just it was really fun to watch.

He moved in sync with the training bot, he dodged it’s attacks perfectly, he pulled his blade back and delivered the final strike.

“Impressive as always.” You smiled leaning against the wall.

“Oh (Name) I didn’t see you there sorry.” He apologized still acting weird.

He gave you a cute little smile making your heart skip a beat, the butterflies in your stomach threatened to fly right out.

You smiled back unsure if what to say, you wanted to scream at him for being cute when you’re mad, or for acting weird, you could tell he was reading you emotions because when you looked up he was in front of you, the two of you stood nose to nose.

“Are you alright love?” He asked concerned as his hand takes yours.

Episode 7 - Can I really vote off my favourite ally - Mac

Kyle voted for Darcy last round. Sunshine obviously failed and couldn’t vote and instead of a 3-0 vote. Kyle made sure Sunshine didn’t send Darcy home with the idol. Now Kyle is saying he’d rather take Livingston over Kyle which I feared. Can I really vote off my favourite ally Darcy? Or would I use my extra vote on Kyle or Livingston and send them home?

I am in 3 way alliance with CoCo and Heather and hope it lasts and is for real. So far so good they watched  my back last tribal we went to and I knew Chips was up to no good and then they solidified it with info that he was with Keegan to get me out. Now Evan is sitting out when I private messaged him saying I work a business from home and would be busy all day so I will see how things go and try my best on this challenge after having hard time with last one right until last minute almost lol

I’m not the least bit surprised to see Sunshine voted out. He got way more swap fucked than I did even though he was on a majority tribe. That’s what happens when you go hardcore and stir the pot so early in the game. I can also confirm that he attempted the Oak Island challenge and lost his vote since there was only 3 votes cast with 4 people. As far as I can tell that means I’m currently the only person to successfully complete a challenge on Oak Island (Dan didn’t lose his vote but I don’t think he did the challenge. TBT about Evan).

Everyone really be like Im done at this for the day. There is 4 hours left and I am going to FRENCH MY WAY TO THE WIN. I feel like Im gonna be carrying the team

I’m trying to go as hard as I can in this challenge. I’m getting flashbacks to kalokairi when we literally got completely decimated & it was so embarrassing also a flashback to ko chang where I literally did the Duolingo challenge 24/7 and I still lost & got sent home that round. This challenge is traumatic I’m trying to pull a ghost island & rewrite history

Going into this duolingo challenge, I was kind of nervous because I don't know anything about French. I do think that I am doing pretty well in the challenge though and hopefully we win!

So we lost the challenge which honestly sucks because I put so much effort to it. When we lose, we have to decide on one member to go to exile. So to my surprise, Dylan instantly is like "please send me." And it's like, are you serious? We had an alliance and you want to go to exile. I feel like he doesn't trust myself, Austin or Stephen, and I now I want to seal his fate. You don't gain anything from exile except safety from being voted out by the tribe. In this case, the tribe was 3 of 4 other people who were on his side. It's not a good look and now the real game has begun.

Ok so the Duolingo challenge is cursed for me. Not only did we not win, afterwards Eric says he wants to randomize ???????????????????? Like what a snake ??? Um if we randomize then dan could go ???????????? Am I missing something ?????? And then he also just like doesn’t vote what the FUCK n e ways. I’m annoyed. That was very irritating & im mad. Anyways, I think me & Austin are tight so my biggest worry is an idol, which is actually a pretty big worry Also Stephen was a pretty good meat shield for me since he’s better at challenges than me, the fact that I don’t have him around is 😳 Side note no idols have been played at all yet so I really feel like they’re both on this tribe 🙀

So Eric is straight up just not responding to me at all so that’s great. Got a good feeling I’m about to be usurped Which is so dumb I’m literally the perfect goat to take to the end literally ANYONE can beat me so why would you take me out now it just don’t make no sense luv

At first I just couldn’t stand him because it was really obvious Ye Eun was far way more invested in the relationship than him (and i’m still mad about her spending her money giving that asshole a expensive jacket) and then the whole kidnapping storyline came in and I just wanted to get into the freaking drama and kill that asshole with my bare hands. Then I finished age of youth and wfkbj had like five episodes left and I still felt like killing that asshole ughgh

I usually am the one who’s like “okay people let’s learn how to differentiate the real person and the character they’re playing” but I hated Doo Young so much that whenever I saw Tae Kwon I just got mad?? Also the “but she eats too much and she’s too strong” line just completely ruined him for me as well lmao, now I can’t stand either doo young or tae kwon
